My older (1999) BMW 323i convertible was experiencing problems with the automatic top opening and closing. Without a local BMW dealer I typically use an import car service provider for routine maintenance. After replacing a strut on the "hatch" my local mechanic was not able to make the mechanism work, and told me to take it to a dealer. I talked to Trevor on the phone and he checked with the technicians. After asking for the VIN number on the car, so that they could do some additional research, they gave me an early morning appointment on the day requested. When I arrived I was greeted warmly by Sean, as though I had been a regular customer for years. After collecting the necessary information he escorted me to a wonderful customer lounge, where I enjoyed excellent coffee, breakfast pastries, and comfortable seating. Within about an hour and a half my (now freshly washed) car was ready to go! Can't wait for it to break again for a return visit!

The best part of the car buying experience was spending time with Alex. He is a very knowledge young man who spent hours taking me through all the new technology I had no knowledge of before. He spent time at the dealership and then a week later came to my home to further my understanding of the car. I gave him a 5 star rating for the work and positive attitude.Rick handled the sales and Joey handled the closing.

From start to finish, my experience with Athens BMW was exceptional. Joe Coleman took time to explain everything carefully -- from what I might want on my new car, to what I might not want. I ordered the car and he kept me informed at every stage. He also recommended that I take the Performance Delivery option. I was glad that I did because now I truly know what the car is capable of, although at times, this was a terrifying experience. Alex Kidd came to my home to further explain all of the workings of the car and he also took a great of time and had a lot of patience in explaining everything. This was the most personal and satisfying experience that I have ever had in purchasing a new car.

I recently bought my BMW 535 xi for a routine oil change. Trevor came out and greeted me immediately as I got out of the car. He was very nice and answered all my questions. This is the first time I met him but he put me at ease. I can;t recall how long I was waiting when Dave came out to talk to me. I was very happy to see a familiar face. He showed me the car and the corroded battery. I had no problem letting them do the work. I always trusted Dave's advise. Trevor and Dave kept me updated as the work progressed. When I left the service department, I felt confident that the work was done right and the car was looked over carefully.

This is the second CPO BMW I've purchased from Athens BMW. I worked with Rick Bythewood both times. Rick was responsive and very helpful - he knows his stuff! I did think it was hard doing any negotiation with the dealership regarding the price of the car which was why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Before this recent purchase, I contacted Rick about an X5 he had and wanted to discuss price - he came off the price by $100 which of course was unacceptable. But this recent purchase went much smoother. It was also very helpful to have Cody Myers go with us on the test drive. He knew all about the CPO vehicle we were looking at and answered all of our questions. In addition, I enjoyed seeing our picture on Facebook which I shared to my timeline. That was fun. Joey Floyd was the person we worked with on the finance piece of the deal. He was efficient, but not very personable, I felt like I was bothering him with my questions. I will take my car back to Athens BMW for service and will likely purchase another BMW from Rick within the next 2 years or so. Our son drives a 2012 BMW X3 and he will be looking for a car soon. I will suggest he contact Rick Bythewood.

Worked with Joe Coleman and Joey Floyd on a new M3. I live in Atlanta and wanted to buy an M3 for June delivery at the BMW Welt. None of the dealers in Atlanta could make it happen. Took a shot with Athens BMW, and they had it arranged in one day. I made several changes to my build from initial order to final production--Joe was always happy to get it done. All the ED paperwork was complete well before our deadlines, and final delivery in Munich was a truly extraordinary experience. Spent a weekend test driving cars all over Athens and Atlanta. Told them upfront that I wasn't ready to purchase and they were very respectful of that position. Never pressured me to change my mind - didn't try to force me to talk numbers, didn't repeatedly ask me what it would take for me to drive away with a car that day, didn't make fun of the clunker I drove in on, didn't repeatedly call me at work. I guess sometimes it's the things you don't do that make an impression.Anyway... I really enjoyed the initial test drive with Terry. The brake test really sold me and I started doing it on all the following test drives - which some of the other dealers weren't particularly pleased with. Ended up trying to decide between my final three choices, so went in the following weekend and talked numbers with Rick and decided to pull the trigger on a new 328i at the start of the week.

Wow, where do I start? My wife and I have been to a dozen dealerships in Atlanta, and we felt like they never listened to what our concerns were, but rather try to sell us the car on the spot. Ive always told them that I need at least a day to sleep on it and I actually do. Our sales representative Terry has truly been a breath of fresh air. He actually listened and everyone at the dealership has been amazing as well. Even with a couple of minor hick-ups,not really a big deal, they (both Joey and Terry) did everything in their power to make sure we were good to go. We never felt pressured or uncomfortable at any time. We usually walk out of dealerships, but at BMW Athens we felt very comfortable. I told them, that once we need a car again, we will not hesitate the hour and a half drive to Athens. From the initial email exchange, to our scheduled test-drive visit, Joe Coleman was consistently professional, and customer-focused. He knows how to treat customers with honesty and respect, and really understands the BMW product line. I spoke with Joe Coleman over the phone about a vehicle Athens BMW had for sale. He was straightforward, courteous, and professional.His prompt and friendly service, combined with their lower price led me to choose them over a local dealer.I drove from South Mississippi and arrived 7 hours later. The BMW was out front, washed and ready to take home.The entire staff was very friendly and laid back. Cody was informative and thorough in teaching me the vehicle's gadgetry and Joey was able to offer me an interest rate almost half that of my bank; he also made the finance process very quick, simple and straightforward.Overall, a fantastic experience - this is the way buying a car should be. Emailed Athens BMW about a used Ford Fusion (at a great price) I saw on cargurus.com on Sunday evening and was answered by Joe the following morning. After a few emails back and forth, I requested a walk out the door price and Joe obliged. Made the drive from Stone Mountain to Athens and Joe welcomed us and we relaxed while he pulled the car around. Checked out the car and it was just as the pics and description advertised. Took it for a pleaseant test drive and when we got back to the dealership, I was ready to complete the purchase. 15 minutes later, the paperwork was signed with Joey, we cut a check for the previously given price (no surprises,) and we were ready to drive out. Joe was a pleasure to do business with and he made the entire car buying process a breeze with great communication, hospitality, and straightforwardness. Definitely worth the drive from Stone Mountain to Athens!

Did research on line about what we should pay for a 2015 2 series convertible and requested quotes from Athens BMW and a North Carolina dealership. We live in South Carolina so I went to our usual BMW dealership to buy a new 2 series convertible. Trading in our 2009 1 series convertible. Knew it was going to be a busy day, but had no issue waiting 30min. to work with salesman I spoke to week before. After 4 hrs. there, left feeling like my purchase wasn't expensive enough to get the BMW "experience." Many interruptions, salesman didn't know answers to questions, said they didn't use Edmunds or any other car pricing service I mentioned, and knocked other BMW dealerships saying they were the best price and good luck finding a better price anywhere. Appraiser looked at my car. Salesman did a search and said the color I wanted wasn't out there and would have to be built. No problem. I asked when the 2016 2 convertible was going to come out and he said he had no way of knowing. He worked up quote for building a 2015, saying that no one could beat them since they don't make any money selling cars, they make their money from the service department! Not something to tell a customer! I said as soon as I got a trade in price for mine, I would put a deposit down. Told him I did research and knew ball park for my trade. He called next day and quoted a price for my car that was $4000 less than Edmunds lowest price. Talk about being insulted! He gave me some song and dance about not knowing where Edmunds comes up with prices and said any car with higher miles gets a poor condition rating from his dealership automatically even though higher miles is all ready factored into Edmunds price. He then finished by saying good luck getting more elsewhere, and if I did, he would be interested in knowing where!Started to think that maybe it was time to switch brands if this was the direction BMW was going in. Decided to reply to emails from Rick Bythewood at Athens BMW and Curt the manager of Athens BMW, who both responded within an hour of my request going out for quote from the pricing site I used. Rick responded immediately and we continued by phone. Very professional and knowledgeable. His information contradicted almost everything the "best dealership around" said. I found out from Rick: You cannot order a 2015, 2016 production was started 2 weeks before (competent salesperson would have know) a search found the car we wanted at a North Carolina dealership, and without even looking at the car, the trade in price was inline with Edmunds. Over the next several hours back and forth with emails and phone calls with questions and fine tuning of price and details. Rick responded almost immediately to every email and phone call. Very personal service and a true BMW experience (classy, professional, pleasant).One more hurdle: this was late afternoon Thursday and we needed to take possession of the car by Monday to take advantage of the $500 rebate and to use the $1000 Drive Team USA coupon for test driving the week before. Bottom line: Rick got the car from North Carolina, did all the pre-sale inspections and polishing, and had the car delivered to our driveway on Monday afternoon! Never had to leave the house. All the paperwork was brought to us. Cody from Athens BMW, who delivered the car, was excellent. A couple glitches in the paperwork were handled quickly by Cody over the phone with the dealership. A perk of this dealership; within a 150 mile radius, they will come get the car for all service, leave you a loaner car, and return your car. Hats off to this dealership for true customer service, honesty, and professionalism.

I was looking for a new 2015 BMW X 5 with specific options at a cost that I was comfortable with. We had located a Mercedes ML 350 that met most of our needs, but it did not have a panoramic roof and the performance ratings were second to the BMW X 5.After searching on line using True car and Edmunds ,traveling to four BMW dealerships near home, I became discouraged feeling the facilities I was working with were reluctant to share information and aloof. Then the light went on realizing I do not have buy the car close to home as all dealerships will honor the warranty completing scheduled service. So I connected with True Car again but this time added the Zip code for Spartanburg South Carolina.The next day I had a response from Joe Coleman at Athens BMW in Georgia. Joe had the car I was looking for. Better yet they were not rigid on the True Car average sales price. We exchanged phone calls and emails the next few days moving closer to a closing. But wait the car is in Georgia? Joe reassured me that I could back out of the deal for any reason and my deposit would be returned. Driving back to Massachusetts, no problem, they would tag the car with a Georgia 45 day dealer license plate then arranges the title and registration to be completed in Massachusetts. At that moment I knew I had to see the car. I arranged to fly to Atlanta and Joe had a driver pick me up at the airport. We arrived at the dealership and the car was everything we were looking for and then some. I spent a couple of hours with Athens Product Specialist Scott Cassady learning how to use all the equipment on the vehicle, and theres a lot, but Scott knows his stuff. When he was done I was very comfortable operating the vehicle. We then completed the paperwork in a half hour and I was ready to hit the road.There were no hassles haggles or games. Joe is one of those people you feel like you have known all your life a good neighbor.He was a single point of contact that was genuine. In the end Joe Coleman and Athens BMW sold their first car in Hull MA, and I bought my first car through the internet. Overall a great experience that I would recommend.Thank you Joe

I researched on line for weeks to be as educated as possible about the various makes and models I was interested in. Rick was never "hard-sell" or pushy which would have been a real turn-off for a woman shopping alone. My wife's 2014 328i developed a fuel pump over-heating problem, leaving her stranded with a week's worth of perishable groceries. Her call to roadside assist was answered promptly, compassionately, and professionally. The tow truck (a flatbed) arrived within a reasonable time, and before long she was at the dealership and drove off with a loaner a year newer and a model above her car.It has been several days due to part order, weekend, and a holiday, but the GM has checked up on us daily. Amazing response and care from a GM compared to my experiences with others at other dealerships.Service and post-purchase courtesy drive repeat sales, and apparently this guy knows his business.For a BMW, drive to Athens if necessary.Dave

It was a toss-up between a used or new Chrysler 300, Mustang GT, Audi, Mercedes or BMW. After many visits to each website to see what was available, I decided to go "new". Went to "TrueCar" and explored options & prices. Then applied Employee buying program to TrueCar. Then looked at all via Consumer's Reports. Decided a new BMW was best and liked the new 435i series Coupe. Athens BMW was the only one that would deal with the buying program! Traveled to Athens from one hour away. Rick and Curt were very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with; had my options decided quickly and price agreed upon. Had to order from production line. Delivery took about 6 weeks. Product is perfect in every way; orientation & purchase experience was first-rate & actually enjoyable.

This is my first time buying a BMW. I know the vehicles reputation as being a fine automobile as well as BMW the company. Rick Blythewood was my salesman from Athens BMW who contacted me after I submitted through USAA Vehicle's purchase program. I also was contacted by BMW of Columbia SC and Taylor BMW of Augusta GA. But it was Rick who made the best effort to win my business. I initially told him we would wait till April or May 2015 to buy and he understood the reason and was not like your typical salesman who pressured you into buying a car. I went back to Rick after my wife and I decided to go ahead and buy because the deals that were being offered now probably would not be around at that time. The vehicle that we bought was not one to be found on a lot anywhere so we ordered it and Rick made sure we got exactly what we wanted on the order process. So I am writing to let people know that the Athens BMW of Athens GA has gone out of their way to make this a rewarding experience and I highly recommend that you check them out. I live in Evans, GA and its a hour and a half drive to them. The drive was worth it and I will most like buy another BMW from them because they didn't haggle over a price. I have had various BMWs for the past 13 years and have purchased each one of them from Mike Appling. Want a better price on your new BMW? Then Athens is the dealer to contact. They consistently have beaten Atlanta dealers' prices, which is the main reason I have purchased my last four BMWs from them. After dealing with Rick Bythewood for my last two purchases, I'm fairly certain that he will provide you the best, hassle free, no-nonsense buying experience. I had a very smooth, stress free buying experience at Athens BMW. After an online inquiry I received a phone call and email from Joe Coleman. A couple days later I met Joe to test drive two vehicles. Joe explained the features of each in a friendly, easy going manner. We discussed trade in value and prices. At no time was there pressure to make a snap decision. I went home to think about it. After making my decision, finalizing the sale and loan processing was done either by phone or email. Most of the paperwork was ready at delivery. They even came through with a better loan rate than we had discussed earlier. One of the best car buying experiences I've had.

I've purchased many vehicles over the years, so I've seen all the sales tricks and tactics known in the trade. But Rick Bythewood (and Athens BMW) was a breath of fresh air. There was no pressure, no games, and Rick actually knew his products and could answer all of our questions about different BMWs like a walking encyclopedia. We were looking for a car for my wife, and as soon as many salespeople hear that, they often continue to talk directly with the husband and ignore the wife (assuming the wife is either ignorant or not the decision-making authority). As soon as Rick learned the car would be for my wife, he immediately engaged with her in a polite and respectful manner to better understand her personal needs and preferences. He allowed us to explore and drive every model we were interested in, test-fit our child car seats, and spent almost an hour demonstrating all of the most important features and infotainment menus. Most noteworthy: Rick stepped away and gave us privacy when appropriate, instead of hovering over us like the vultures you might encounter at less savory showrooms. He was genuinely interested in finding the right car for us, and didn't want us to settle for anything less (whether it was color, features, etc.).Rick's test drives were also unconventional in that he encouraged my wife to feel firsthand how BMWs really outperform most other cars. I think my wife would agree that she was actually a better driver after Ricks test drive, because in addition to asking her to drive like she would on a normal day in her own car (like practicing backing into a tight parking space to demo the rearview camera), Rick challenged her to accelerate, corner, and brake in a deliberate but safe manner so that she could become accustomed to BMWs higher performance limits (and electronic safety nets). While we were considering other vehicles at the time, it was really Ricks knowledgeable and assuring demeanor and his informative test drives that contributed the most to my wifes decision to purchase a BMW. Athens BMWs excellent pricing only cemented the deal.I can honestly say this was the easiest and most painless car buying experience I've ever encountered. Athens BMW conducted all of its business with me via email correspondence or phone, and they sent their closing person to our residence to sign the final paperwork (which only took 10 minutes!). Most of the people at this dealership have been there for years, and they seem to love what they do, so that speaks volumes in an industry with typically very high turnover.I've been a BMW Car Club member since 1998, and am also a member of the Porsche, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz clubs. I will admit that Im extremely picky and have very demanding standards. Rick Bythewood exceeded all of my expectations, and has won another loyal customer. If you are considering purchasing a BMW, I strongly suggest you find Rick at Athens BMW. And ask him about the BMW Performance Center Delivery option too!

Purchasing my car from Athens BMW was by far the best car buying experience I've had. Not only did the team at Athens BMW give me the best price for my X5 M Sport but my sales person, Joe Coleman, was extremely knowledgeable and very professional throughout the entire process. Joe set up factory delivery for my wife and I at the factory in Spartanburg, SC. This was a truly amazing experience. All my wife and I had to do was travel to the hotel and BMW took care of everything else that weekend. The weekend included dinner at the hotel the night before our delivery, on-track and off-road driving instruction, factory tour and a two hour review of my car by a BMW delivery associate. While looking at a 128 convertible on the Athens lot Rick became our salesman. We reviewed the car and had our old 328 checked for trade. We were given some numbers but were not ready to make the trade that day. My wife and I really wanted to look around but SHE REALLY LIKED the 128. As we lived several hours away the communication was by e-mail. Somewhere a misunderstanding occurred in understanding the numbers. Long story short Rick stuck with it and everything got back on the same page, the deal happened. We just return from a long weekend trip and really enjoyed the new ride. Bought my BMW 328xi diesel sports wagon from Athens BMW. I was looking at my vehicle at several dealerships and Athens BMW, by far, gave me the best deal on my wagon. Test drove a 2013 335i on Saturday and bought it on Wednesday. Price was exactly what was promised. Did most of the paperwork on email because I lived two hours away from the dealership. Just had to come in and sign the paperwork and drive off. Rick did everything that I asked for and was a pleasure to work it. Although at the time of first contact the car I wanted was not at the dealership, Curt Cook quickly found just the 328i I was looking for, in fact better, and the offer was excellent. The car had just arrived in country and was headed to Texas. He tried to redirect the car to Athens, but just missed it. Off it went to Texas. At this point Curt and Rick Bythewood, who now joined the effort, went to work contacting the Texas dealer to ascertain if it were still available and to arrange for it to be trucked here. Success! Both Curt and Rick worked persistently to get the car I wanted and kept me apprised each step of the way. Once here, Rick was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful, working to finalize a closing price that was fair and that fit my budget. Rick is very knowledgeable and his explanations of the options, etc. on the car were detailed and clear; as a first-time BMW owner, I much appreciated that. Allen Dean was most helpful in quickly resolving a problem (of my making) with my insurance company. So, working as a team, Curt, Rick, and Allen provided excellent service and made my buying experience about as smooth as one could wish, fun even. I could not be more pleased and satisfied.

I do not enjoy shopping for new vehicles. I hate dealing with the sales tactics of pushy salespeople that are so obvious they make me want to turn around and run the opposite direction. My wife was interested in purchasing a replacement for her Volvo wagon. She test drove cars at the local Volvo/Acura dealership and was not quite satisfied. Since we had previously purchased three cars from Athens BMW (all 7 series sedans), I suggested that she test drive the BMW X series. The X1 was too small, the X5 was too big, but the X3 fit her just right. Rick Bythewood was highly knowledgeable about the BMW line and carefully explained the differences among the models. A test drive featuring some maneuvers that demonstrated the stability and safety features of the X3 sold my wife on this model. Rick has a low key manner that is contrary to the stereotype of car salespeople and it was a pleasure to deal with him. After we had the car for a few days, I discovered a small crack in the windshield. Rick and Curt Cook examined it and without hesitation offered to replace the windshield. These are standup guys and I appreciate their integrity.

Rick and Allen made the buying experience seamless. I ordered a 428i for my son's sixteenth birthday directly through Rick, and he was extremely knowledgable and patient with my son as he test drove the car. Even after the test drive, my son was still torn between the BMW and another brand. Rick continued to show patience by not pressuring us for the sale. Instead, he continued to point out the safety and performance attributes of the 428i, while never bashing the other brand under consideration. In the end, my son chose the BMW, and he could not be happier. He absolutely loves the car and I'm looking forward to him being a BMW customer for years to come. Thanks Rick!

I bought a 328i used (2013) for a great price with with only 8k miles on it. I thought it would be challenging given that I live in alabama. But it was hassle free as they know how to take care of paperwork for out of state purchase. Rick is very knowledgeable about the product and explained every bit of it during the test drive. It was a pleasant experience. If I buy another car in future, i would definitely go for bmw and specifically to Athens bmw.

I compared Athens BMW to a number of other area BMW dealers and Athens BMW provided the best price, communication and overall customer satisfaction.The delivery process couldn't have been easier or more convenient. Scott Cassady, Athens BMW's Product Knowledge Specialist met me at a designation location (so I could return my insurance rental vehicle) and then drove with me to my home for an in-depth product demonstration of my new 328i, complete with pairing my iPhone and garage door opener. Scott then coordinated the entire paperwork transaction efficiently and was picked up by another BMW staff member when my delivery was complete. Scott even left me his cell phone number in case I have future product related questions.The entire Athens BMW experience was totally outstanding. It couldn't have gone any better. I found the car online and I called the dealership. I spoke with Rick and he answered my questions plus offered a site unseen estimate for my potential trade-in. Based on our conversation with Rick, we made the 2 hour trip to look at and drive the car. He explained all the features to us, negotiated a price, and a week later we bought the car. When we picked up the car, it was all ready to go. Rick introduced us to Brandon Self, who did a great job of familiarizing us with the electronic features of the car.

Buying a car surely ranks up there with death and taxes in many people's minds: it's a certainty but not always a desirable experience. This is likely also true for the dealer since there is so much information available and so much of isn't credible or reliable and the sales folk have to navigate through a larger educational experience than in years past. Despite these facts, the crew at Athens BMW were nothing short of shockingly amazing to work with. They handled my tedious questions with aplomb. They knew the product as well as anyone I have ever bought anything from. And there was absolutely no drama, no heavy sighs, no pressure - NOTHING negative. They met me on every concern and question I had, and it was easy to see they knew their market and they knew the information that was out there. I'm so happy to buy from local guys, in a dealership I first bought a car from in the 1980s. They are a great asset to this community and to their brand. I cannot say enough great things about working with Joe Coleman and Athens BMW. I needed to trade in my Mercedes GL450, and I wanted something smaller and more fuel-efficient. Joe really took the time to figure out which car would be the best fit for my and my family. He asked a lot of questions -- good questions, and he truly listened to what I wanted and needed from our new car. He answered my endless questions, and he was incredibly patient with me, my mother, and my two rambunctious boys -- even when I kept changing my mind, and weighed different options over multiple visits to the dealership. I never felt rushed and I certainly never felt pressured to buy any more "car" than I wanted and needed. Every time I contacted him, he was genuinely friendly and happy to hear from me...even when I was coming back with more questions. When I finally decided on my car, he worked through the numbers with me, and was very straight-forward and honest about the pricing. In the end, I was very happy with the price of the car, and he was able to locate exactly the car I wanted, and he had it here in no time. The trade-in process was effortless and very fair. I drove away with a car that I kept saying, day after day, "I love this car." Every step of the way, Joe went above and beyond to make sure that the entire process went smoothly, and that we were happy with our decision. I could not have been happier with my decision to purchase a car from Athens BMW -- as a matter of fact, my mother was so impressed with the dealership and with Joe that she is switching from her BMW dealership in Atlanta, and bringing her business to Athens.

I used USAA to help me search for the best BMW deal. The first dealership I heard from was Athens BMW and Rick Blythewood. From the get go Rick was proactive and answered all my questions. I was concerned about the distance from my home in Grayson and Athens, but he put my worries to rest. The service was outstanding throughout the process and today Scott Cassady delivered the car. I went to this dealership to look at a car that I had seen advertised. Prior to that, I had been to several dealerships and had terrible experiences. I am a blonde female and usually get treated horribly when walking into a dealership. I had already walked out of these other dealerships due to horrible service. I have to say that I was dreading going to one more dealership and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I spoke with Joe Coleman by email and phone before ever entering the dealership. I was straight forward about my dislike of dealerships and how I had been treated. He was very friendly and listened to my concerns and questions. When I arrived, Joe was waiting for me and took my right out to see the car, which he had pulled up to the front of the building. We test drove it and he answered all of my questions. He then brought out a specialist (Scott) to show me how all the systems worked. I spent almost two hours in the car with that gentleman who was amazingly helpful as well. After learning everything about the car, Joe and I started talking price. I was trading my car and had been given poor trade-in values at other dealerships. Not only did they negotiate fairly with me on the trade-in but they also looked to find other savings measures like rebates. He even helped me out with the windguard (my car is a convertible). The deal they offered me was not only fair, it was really good. The financing went smoothly and the car was mine. I could not get over just how nice everyone was!There were a couple of items that I wanted done on the car so they gave me a loaner while they got my car ready. A few days later, they brought my car to my house and even set up the garage door opener system for me. I've have had a couple of questions/minor issues since that time and as soon as I call Joe, they've been handled immediately. They are truly wonderful to work with and I would recommend that everyone skip going to the big Atlanta dealerships who lack customer service and go see Joe Colemand at Athens BMW. He is the best!! This have been the absolute best experience that I have ever had in buying a car. I am a customer for life!!Thank you to Joe and the team for making me feel like I was valued and appreciated!!!

This was the best car buying experience I had since 1968. Joe Coleman gave me a very fair price and went well out of his way to ensure the transaction went smoothly. I had concerns since I bought the car long distance over the internet and phone, and took delivery at the BMW Performance Center, so I never visited the dealer. The paperwork and Performance Center arrangements went smoothly in a timely manner. This was my first car purchase and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Everyone was so helpful and Rick made me feel comfortable about purchasing my first car on my own. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car and was able to explain things to me I would not have known about. He treated me with respect and was paitent with me when I had questions. I hadn't planned on purchasing the car that day but they made the process so smooth that I felt comfortable making the decision to purchase that day. They were never pushy and made sure they were able to accomidate my needs and get me into the car I wanted. After I purchased the car, Rick took the time to show me more details about my new car and made sure that I knew how to use the features. They arranged employees to drive to Atlanta to pick up my old car for trade-in, bring new floor mats and final paperwork when it was convenient for me and so that I did not have to schedule a time to drive the car back to Athens. I feel everyone went above and beyond and would definitely recommend this dealership and refer friends and family to Rick.

I had a WONDERFUL experience at Athens BMW! This was my first visit to Athens BMW but my 5th BMW since 2002.My first contact with Athens BMW was through internet used car sales. Rick Blythewood (Internet Manager) immediately responded to my inquiry on a 2009 used 328i on October 23. This particular car was sold before I could make a deposit, but I knew there were other cars so no problem. I also received email correspondence from Curt Cook and Allen Dean who reached out on October 25 offering their assistance in my search. I made plans to visit Athens BMW on Friday October 26 and made Rick Blythewood aware of my estimated time arrival.I arrived at the dealership and met with Rick Blythewood. After a brief discussion of my wants and needs,Rick showed me the list of 2009-2011 used 328i vehicles. He also showed me a 2012 328i and explained every difference between the available used models including the body style change made in 2012. Rick provided the best information I needed to make my decision--I ended up with a NEW car (2012 328i) in my favorite color combination--I LOVE THIS CAR! I truly appreciated the way Rick explained every detail of my vehicle options including the add on features of each car--I like detail and it helped me make my decision with confidence and in a relaxed atmosphere--there was no pressure from Rick, just useful information for helping me choose the car right for me.Athens BMW gave me a fair trade-in for my 2006 325i. Allen Dean was great as he explained he details of my financing and he made the paperwork process of buying the car easy. I also want to mention Scott Cassidy who sat with in my new car until 8 p.m. on a Friday night explaining every feature of the car including the idrive. Scott helped sync my Iphone and explained my 1 yr subscription to Sirius (which I like very much). Scott took his time and did not rush even though it was well after hours. Overall, Athens BMW has a GREAT team from what I've seen so far. I know the service department has to be the best around and I know I don't have to worry about my vehicle service being done right.I chose Athens BMW because of its relative proximity to my home. During my search for a new vehicle I walked out of a dealership because of not so great customer service. This was the best vehicle purchase experience I have had in my life. Rick was knowledgeable about the car we were interested in and answered all questions completely and honestly. I had shopped around on the Internet and had a good idea of what I thought would be a fair price, and the price they quoted was a bit less. No haggling, which was wonderful. I also had a firm price in mine for the value of my trade and they offered exactly that amount, again no haggling.I would highly recommend Athens BMW, no I DO highly recommend Athens BMW as a dealership and Rick Blythewood as a representative to anyone interested in a BMW quality automobile.

Rick and Curt were both very helpful, friendly, honest and answered all of my questions. There was no pressure, and everything in the final purchase of the car fit with what I expected. Overall, this was an excellent car buying experience.

I recently purchased my first BMW from Athens BMW, and I would recommend others to their business. Although I was very excited to be in a position to purchase a new (to me) BMW, I was very nervous about the type of customer service typically associated with BMW dealers. That is to say, I've heard that they can be off-putting, resistant to negotiation and snobbish. I shopped first at Taylor BMW in Evans, GA, which is closer to home, and they indeed fulfilled this expectation. Surprisingly enough, the salesman who test drove with me, however friendly, acted more like he worked for "Jim-Bob's used cars." The car was also listed about $3K over the KBB value. So, seeing a car that interested me on Athens BMW's website, I called ahead, arranged a test-drive with Mr. Blythewood, and drove 2 hours to Athens. Mr Blythewood was courteous, answered all questions about the car, did not insult my intelligence, and allowed the car to sell itself. Since he had another appointment, I conducted the sale paperwork with Mr Cook. Despite the fact that Athens BMW would have delivered the car to me as a courtesy, Mr Cook worked an hour and a half past closing to allow me to drive my new 3 series home that evening. He was very patient dealing with my lender, and gave me a $1000 discount off the asking price, which was very close to the KBB value. After the sale, I honestly wouldn't have expected or needed much more from the folks at Athens, but Mr Blythewood did follow up with the standard courtesy call. I asked him if it would be possible to get a second remote key and valet key for my car (at least $200 value), since my car only came with one key. He said he would look into it, no promises. But sure enough, a week later, I have received my extra key! My thanks go out to the team at Athens BMW, and I fully recommend them to others.

After buying BMWs in Atlanta since 1991, I finally got tired of overpaying for my cars and tolerating poor service. So I tried Athens when buying a car, and came back to service my cars. Oh, what a difference. The service people are friendly, courteous, flexible, and my cars were fixed [promptly every time. Will never buy another car in Atlanta as long as Athens keeps up the good work. BTW, they will give you a loaner every time, and keep your car until the next day when you have a chance to pick it up without hassling you about needing the loaner back, etc...
