Had bad experiences buying cars in the past, so this time around I was taking my time and doing my research! After 3 1/2 weeks of dealership hopping and online searches... A friend of mines, just bought an SUV and referred me to Automax dealership. She said was by far the best car shopping experience she had! I decided to try them out.. Well I must say, she was right!!!!! Once I walked in, very attentive and hospitality was amazing! Felt at ease and ready to shop! One particular salesperson that approach my family was Mike (MJ aka Batman). Very professional, warm smile, and honest eyes! I didn't feel pressure to buy a car,like he was just about commission. He was patient and knowledgeable in the vehicles that he showed us and kept us around the price range that was affordable to us! Thing is, that our budget was tight and I was nervous our budget wasn't going to allow us to buy a nice convenient vehicle. Well Mike not only calm our nerves, pockets, but I walked out will a fully equipped vehicle at an awesome price I can afford!!!! They have a numerous of cars/SUV/trucks in their inventory! Went in to compare a pre-owned Crosstrek to a new one. Obviously the new one (shopped at nearby dealers) had things like navigation, lane assist, etc., but to me it wasn't worth the difference of $8000. And the salespeople at the dealership were off-putting. So after a test drive at AutoMax and talking about the car and a trade and all that goes with buying a car, this salesperson sold his first car on his first day working here. The buying process was fairly quick and easy, and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I recently purchased a 2013 Toyota venza xle.I love it! I had been to several other dealer's with no luck. I was frustrated. I went online in search of the vehicle I was looking for. Automax in Framingham had one and regardless of the distance I decided to check it out. From the start Richard Torbay was great. Been looking for a pick up for about 8 weeks with many disappointed experiences. Then I made an appointment with M.J. at Automax to see a Toyota Tundra I found on-line. He brought the car up as soon as I got there and gave me plenty of time to look it over before our test drive. M.J. answered all my questions clearly and honestly. I pointed out a couple of small things that he said they would take care of before I take delivery. We agreed on a price quite quickly and I'm very much looking forward to getting it home.The only negative was the very very long wait to get to Dave, the financial guy to finalize the deal. I can't believe I am actually saying the experience was good because most car buying experiences are like going to the dentist. The experience I had at the Automax was the type of experience I would like to have at any dealership when trying to buy a car. The sales person I worked with was John McCarthy. John is very knowledgeable about cars. He never came across as pushy but was willing to answer all of my questions, help get me the best price on the Audi A5 that I finally bought, and get me a fair price on my trade in. He was also willing to let me walk away if it was not the right deal for me. I appreciated his honesty, knowledge, and point of view. I felt like he was a consultant, which is what I always look for in people I deal with. The dealership is small with way too many cars for the size of the lot they have. If you are looking for the best looking facility this is not the place. I also believe that this means less overhead which helps keep the price more reasonable. Though this is a "no Haggle" dealership I found there was some wiggle room on the price, but it was limited. This made sense because I was already starting with the lowest priced Audi convertible in the area, with the miles I was looking for. I did not get the price I wanted but after doing my research and listening to John's point of view I felt I got a fair price. I can't believe I am saying this about buying a car, but I will be back when I need another car and I look forward to working with John and Automax again.

Couldn't be more grateful. After losing a 2004 Honda Civic I had been without a vehicle for over a month and had trouble finding something in my price range with good value. After doing some shopping around I filled out an App for the dealership online and was contacted by Isaac T, and made an appointment for the next day. Before coming to Automax I was convinced I wouldn't be able to find a good vehicle that I could afford. With Isaac's help and counseling we found a 2012 Mazda 3 with only 28k on the odometer, practically brand spanking new, as if that wasn't good enough, when I went to pick up the car I found out I was getting 4 brand new tires. Isaac, David, and Lewis were all very helpful I can't thank them enough.

I purchased a vehicle I saw on this site from this dealer. The check engine light was on during my test drive and was told it would be taken care of. The financing process was clunky and seemed mismanaged. When I finally drove off the lot, the check engine light came on within 24 hours. Not to mention the car didn't even included car mats. When I asked the salesman where they were, he told me there were none and to just go buy them at AutoZone. My own mechanic told me they just cleared the codes for the "check engine" and did not fix the problem and I did not have an inspection sticker, which they should have put on before they let me leave the lot, not to mention I was out of windshield wiper fluid the 1st time I tried it. It was obvious that the "Full Inspection" the salesman told me that was going to be done by their "qualified and experienced mechanics" was not done. Had to take the car back and they had it for a week before I got it back. I drove to Florida 2 days later, and when I arrived, and tried the A/C... it didn't work. Enough said... Would NOT recommend this dealer to even my enemy never mind a friend!!!!

Their sales representatives are not trained at all. The kid taking care of me barely even made small talk and was on his phone most of the time. Manager couldn't answer questions in relation to the car. I wasn't happy by the fact that I had made an appointment to see the car a day before and when I got there, the sales rep. had no idea where the car was at first then after waiting for a good 15-20 minutes they find out the car was sent to another dealer to get 3 "small dents" fixed. Not only it was such a waist of time, they didn't even try to perhaps show me another cars or nothing. I was very disappointed..... but I guess everything happens for a reason!

I went in to go test drive a X3 the dealer was busy but was seen by sale rep I was on car within ten mins. Sale rep was real patient and honest. This dealer actually want to help people and not juts make money of you. The general manager real nice and able to work with you to get the car you want. A friend had referred me to AutoMax when I was shopping around for a car, being someone whose credit was not so great I knew my options were limited. Sal was the man I dealt with and he was very professional. I told him what I was looking for and what my budget was and he worked around that and actually got me a car that was below my budget. The whole process from start to finish was about 1week. I got a 2014 Nissan that I'm very happy with. I rated this place a 5 star because I've been to other places before coming here and they were beyond rude.

I stopped at the dealer ship on Saturday Night after I have been looking for a car the past few weeks. Steg greeted me as I walked in and asked me what I was looking for. He recommended few cars that met what I was looking for. The price was great and he was able to take my trade in. Sunday afternoon I was driving my ML 350 home with my wife and two boys. Monday morning I got a phone call from Steg that my car registration was all set. This was a great weekend for me, working weekdays and not having the time off. I was able to get an excellent cat thanks to The Auto Max team. While I was there I met Dino another sales man who was very friendly. Also I dealt with Mike Rowe who explained my warranty and who went mile to make sure that my family was safe and had a good experience.

Saw my new to me Acura MDX on cars.com, and called Automax, Being from Northern VT, I did not want to waste a trip down. Lots of phone calls to Robbie, even on his days off!! He was always there. My Acura MDX was priced thousands less than any where else. I took a nice 90 minute test drive to see how the vehicle drove, and I wasn't disappointed. I would definitely buy from these guys again.

bought my car last Monday, suppose to get a call Tuesday to pick it up no one called so I happened to call, and the salesman said that it needed a computer module and that no one around had it so they had to order one. its been a week already. where did they order it from china. at least they could of called to let me know how long it would be but no one bothered to call and give me some kind of timeframe. Robbie Shaw, answered the phone when I called to inquire about a listing, he was extremely friendly, and had a great knowledge of the vehicle I was interested in. We scheduled a time for me to come in and look at the vehicle meeting him in person he was very friendly, and I was impressed how he handled the sale, It was a very busy day at the dealership and he made sure to take the time to answer my questions and get me a test drive. Once all the details were set, I moved on to Financing when I met Dave Kerr, he was very helpful ,and in the end worked hard to get me the best financing plan that worked with my budget at the lowest APR.. I am very happy with the deal I got on my BMW and recommend to anyone looking to buy a quality used vehicle to see Robbie or any of the other sales reps at Automax Preowned.. One last thought.. although I purchased the vehicle I first looked at.. the vast selection of other quality vehicles was distracting.

I purchased an Acura TSX here recently and since I'm seeing people complaining about the place I thought I'd share my experience. I feel bad for the salespeople here, overhearing some of the other customers in the showroom. It seems people just want to complain and "modify truths" and then expect it to wash. One person was there saying "I have a 700 credit score and I can give you $5000 down!" 30 minutes later I overheard him saying, "what? naw, I dunno how my credit score came up as 400 with a repossession last week!! But don't worry, I can give you $400 down!" and then getting utterly irate after absorbing 2 hours of the sales guy's time only to leave with nothing. It seems like a lot of these complaining reviews are just people upset because they couldn't take the dealership to the cleaners. Personally I found the entire transaction to be entirely on par with every other car transaction I've ever had. It wasn't AMAZING! and it wasn't HORRIBLE! you pick your car, you fill out your credit app, you evaluate your trade, you sign some paperwork and you go home with your new car. The Massachusetts laws are so strict you can't even really get ripped off anymore unless you've just done no homework at all, and internet research makes sure you have a good price before you ever leave the house, so it's not like 1980 where you have to haggle and negotiate for 6 days to get the best possible price. Find the car you want, find the top prices, check your carfaxes, go to those dealerships, whittle it down to one car, and buy it. done. Automax has great inventory, which is the one big advantage they have over everyone else in the Framingham area.

We will still trying to deal with this dealer. They try to give you a low price to trick you to think that you bought a great deal. We went in and fell for it. Don't trust the car fax website that they show you. On that website, previous owner cash payment on fixing the car will not show up there. The financing guy Bill even threat us if we forfeit the deal. He won't return any of the down payment nor the trade-in car. We were too late to forfeit. We regret so badly to do business with Auto Max. What happen is the 2011 Q5 that they sold us was never in any shape to drive on the road. It went into a flat tire without giving any warning signal. We were on our way to AutoMax. If we didnt find out from the a passby walker on the street, we wouldn't realize the problem and went on the high way. The flat tire is due to a slow leak. Automax never check it. Automax had changed an instrutment without telling us. Even right now, it is in the full inspection of Audi Dealer. Automax was not gonna pay for fixing it at all. That was what we were told. Please reconsider if you try to buy from Automax preowned car. They never fix it completely before they sell it to you. And try to trick us to pay for extend warrantty which the financing guy Bill never mention it. I will try to file a complaint toward somewhere no matter what. This business is horrible. If I can give it a zero star, I would.

We purchased a Volvo XC60 here recently. We'd done a lot of research and compared vehicles across the new england area and even into NJ and NY. The prices at Automax were among the best we found and they had 3 in stock so we went in to check them out (and the dealership is literally down the road and around the corner from our home in Sudbury). They had the color combination we wanted most, and Issac was helpful in putting together a deal we were very pleased with. We'll likely consider looking here first in the future as at the end of the day their prices and vast stock are hard to compete with.

I was nervous about a one price store until I realized the price here was on par or lower than all the others. Apparently it's normal to move the prices up so that then you can try and bicker to get the price down but you never know if you got the price down enough or if you're getting ripped off. With the price as low as the lowest one on the entire site and the color was the one I wanted I felt really safe knowing I wasn't being taken through the ringer on the whole thing and all the normal enxiety I've felt in the past when buying a car was gone! I'm really pleased and I feel like I learned a lot about the car buying process so that even though I look back at other cars I've bought and cringe at how bad I may have been robbed, I know I wasn't this time and I won't be in the future. That's a really good feeling. Thanks for the education John! (my salesperson)

If I really nitpick I can say I was pretty unhappy about the family of 3 children watching sponge bob and scurrying around like a family of red squirrels in a nut pile but other than that, everything went swimmingly. Dan (the finance manager) jumped through some hoops for me and came up with a rate far lower than the slowly raising market can demand. Robbie whipped around the place like a whirling dervish, jumping the service department into action to fix some last minute agreed upon cosmetic things, and all around things went really smooth. I purchased a car within the past year from AutoMax, the sales process was of course fast and was almost rushed to get me to sign. After talking down the price and interest rate I purchased the car. Sal the sales guy was nice and helpful, however after the purchase was made and when I needed things fixed that sal promised they would do for free and had questions about oil changes he would never return my calls or emails. Finally after coming in to get something fixed I was hustled saying they wouldn't fix it. I had to show proof of emails explaining how they were to fix these problems for free. Things finally got fixed however I did see Sal a few times while waiting for my car and he never even acknowledged me... He must be on to his next greasy sale. The service department was very nice however.

These ppl do not care about anything. they have ruin a perfectly good street/neighborhood. Cars are parked everywhere and the employees are downright NASTY. Someone dear to me purchased a vehicle there and its nothing but junk. Too many repairs in a short period of time and they won't take responsibility,

Salesperson was nice. Signing the paperwork and picking up the car took literally hours longer than anticipated. (This was partly because of my insurance company, however) Then, there is an issue with the car I bought that was not taken care of. I have been back once and I have to go back and leave it for a day. They are not providing me with a rental car, only if they keep it for more than one day. Such a hassle that makes this purchase regrettable.

The whole process from beginning to end was stressless....I'm surprised it only took 2 1/2 hours to complete entire transaction. John was very pleasant and helpful and the finance officer was also very nict.

It's now been a couple of weeks since I drove my Lexus Rx350 from Automax. I haven't enjoyed a drive home as much as I did that day in such a long time. I know we were very specific in what we wanted and you didn't simply pick the first one that came down the pike. You did your diligence on a variety of cars and passed on many that could have been fine except you knew they were not the best value and quality. This is the very reason why I chose Automax Preowned to find us our car. I knew you would do exactly that and I would be thrilled....Well, I was right. You did what you said, you kept me informed, you picked a car that you would have bought for your own family, and you did all this with a smile and in a very professional manner. My daughter Katie is absolutely thrilled with her new car. I just purchased a 2010 Corvette here and wanted to share with all my experience. The car was meticulously worked over by their service center and detailiers to the point where I can barely tell it's a used car. I test drove a number of vehicles in my search for the right one and this is by far the cleanest I found. The one price concept is great as I don't feel like I got ripped because I didn't negotiate harder or more agressively. It allows for a real relaxed transaction and since the price was already below what it should have been I think they actually use this system legitimately as opposed to places that just use it to make scads more cash. The financing department was great. Dan got me a lower rate than my last car deal, infact, he got me a rate lower than I thought you could get! There are apparently up sides to buying in a down economy. Either that or Dan is some sorta wizard. John, my salesman was knowledgeable about the cars I was looking for which is a welcome relief compared to what I ran into in other places. It's difficult and frustrating when you say C6 and they look at you with a blank stare. When Z51 to your salesman is what he ordered for lunch off the chinese menu as opposed to a model of car trim.

The shopping experience was bad. Sales person forgot to present me the Carfax and I did not ask for one to review at the time of purchase. Later I found car had previous accident. So I asked to process a refund. They then convinced me to go for a different C300 which indeed was no longer available. What they wanted is to keep my deposit long enough and still sell a car. Very disappointing trick.

I went with my family to see a car , we liked that car and was thinking about making an offer but was surprised by rude behavior of the man . I thought about talking to the manager but the manager's behavior turned out worst than the sales man. We were totally dejected and even thought we liked the car , we walk out of the facility. I wander how this dealership is still in the business? I wish good luck to AutoMax because with that kind of service only luck can save them from going out of business.

He answered all of my questions and I was very happy with the way I was treated. I wasn't just another customer. He went above and beyond. He didn give me the typical BS you get from used car dealerships.

Hi, I bought my first really nice, entirely owned by me, practically new, absolutely beautiful car here for my birthday! Her name is Cyndie! Before this I drove my folks old toyota so the whole process was new to me. They needed my parents to cosign so that wasn t cool but I m super psyched and Pat and Lew were wicked nice and Abe (the finance guy?) was ok too. Me n Maggie (my pekingese) are so happy! And passed! I traded in my c class for a newer model and within a week I ran into a problem with the transmission. I spoke with Robbie my salesman who hopped into action and got me with Lou in the repair center. They had me fixed up and back on the road the same day. Someone once told me you can only show your customer service skills when presented with a problem to fix. They fixed my problem quickly and with no hassle at all. I really appreciate the dedication and pleasant attitude throughout the encounter.

I've spent a lot of time at a lot of dealerships over the years and things were fine here. My sales person was quick and efficient, the car was what I thought it was, the best price sold me. the place was a bit busy but I wasn't forgotten. All in all I'd return again, especially for the prices. If you do your research they really are good.

My wife wanted to drive an Audi convertible - the salesman said he would prefer if we went down the street to the Audi Dealership, drive one there and if we liked it come back to him to purchase the used car he was offering. What? Was he serious? We left and my wife vowed never to come back there. Great sales technique.

I was searching for a Volvo C70 and came across an online advertisement posted by this dealer for a very low mileage and very low priced C70. When I inquired about it, to my surprise it was no longer available, but they had some other cars that were at much higher prices. I was looking for this specific model and was not interested in anything else they had to offer. After more than a month of searching the one advertisement that kept coming up was the one from this dealer which I knew was not available. I believe they kept this advertisement up in order to attract people to their website only to try and sell them a different vehicle at a higher price as they did to me. I know well that there aren't very many laws governing online better business practices, so I felt it necessary to inform other potential buyers. This to me seems to me like the classic "bait & switch," just in a new arena... The internet, where there aren't any laws governing it. Buyers beware!

A co-worker recommended them as the only place he buys from. After a lot of research I found that automax had the best selection and prices on low mileage Infiniti G37s so I went over. The whole experience was great. I've bought lots o cars over the years and I absolutely despise haggling. My wife stresses and the whole event becomes a huge burden. Their prices are low from the start, and my wife was relaxed throughout the entire experience. Two things I'm not used to when buying a car. Ultimately I found the G37S of my dreams and my wife is now wanting to go back for a TSX she fell in love with as well.

In the course my recent online car search, I found a car I was interested in buying at Automax Preowned in Framingham, MA. The salesman was helpful and promptly answered my questions. Shipping the car was a significant hassle, but we finally got it resolved. In going over the car, I have found numerous parts and equipment that are either broken or missing. The overall condition of the vehicle is significantly worse than I was told. Automax is currently working with me to resolve these issues, but this is a hassle I do not need. Overall I am not happy with how this process has played out and wish I had never given them my business.

I don't really write reviews but I feel the need to inform people to stay away from this place if they are looking for great cars and service. They claim to buy cars of lease and that 90% of them were once touched up because of an accident even if the car has a clean carFax. Their finance person never cared to follow up on anything. I did end up buying a car from them but not a great experience. I suggest others do their homework first
