Barker GMC has such a friendly atmosphere and welcoming employees. We recently purchased a 2013 GMC Seirra for myself and was so over the top impressed by our salesman that we returned to purchase a certified used 2011 GMC Terrain for my wife! They have done so much to make our buying process a breeze and we recommend them to everyone! Thanks Barker GMC!!

Attempted to get info on a vehicle I wanted to purchase. I was the one to follow up with them after sending an email. Even after I called to follow up my phone call was never returned.

I wish to thank Barker GMC for the wonderful service and attention I recieved while purhasing my Certified 2010 Pontiac G6. HJ Gros & Jenika were so professional, while still making me feel like family. To Te-Cye thanks so much for helping me get my dream car. So, glad for a website like this! Now everyone's customer experience can be exposed! Let me start by saying I use to work in Customer Service for 7 years and never experienced such bad customer service that I did at this dealership. I went test drive a new car. I told the sales guy if we can get the number right, than maybe I would buy it! I did have a little negative equity from my trade in. Right away they wanted to appraise my trade in. Remember, my trade is mine still and not theirs. Immediately came back with a very large number below bluebook. I did not agree and the finance manager said, let me take a look at your trade. I walk with him outside and never once did he say hello and and shake my hand. He immediately started pulling on the back of my vehicle.(remember the truck is still mine, very rude). Too make a long story short! We went back in and they acted like I was just going to get the deal they wanted to give me.(which was the biggest joke) Then, the next step was to go into my credit and tell me what they can do! I know my credit (check it often) is good and was fed up at that point. I told them to call me later and let me know! Never received one phone call. So, I went to a another dealership, where they offered me the same car next level up for alot less(I mean alot less). Customer Service is the biggest thing in Sales. The customer is always right and you should try to do what you can for the customer. Never make the customer feel like you are asking for the world. And trust me, I was not being unreasonable. I know Houma is a small town, but you should not have to know the sales guys or finance managers to be treated with excellent service. Needless to say, I got my new vehicle and great customer service from another dealer. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone who has a trade or does not already know the finance manager.
