Great service. Didn’t have to make an appointment, got right in. I love this because my husband was in the area and my oil change light came on. Zip right in and got it taken care of. This was my first oil change for my brand new car and definitely not my last. I regret not buying my car there but at the time they didn’t have the one I wanted in stock and I had to take advantage of that’s months special. Maybe my next one. My definitely will get my service. This was our third family vehicle in the past year purchased at Brilliance Subaru through Richard Winchester. The process was easy fast and without a glitch! I recently purchased a beautiful pre-owned Subaru Outback from Brilliance. This was our third vehicle from them, including a new Outback 2 years ago. All of them have been wonderful. The only issue was a small ding which unfortunately was right in the middle of the driver's door, something that would bother me every time I used the car. Brilliance said "No problem," and since I needed the new car right away, I took it, returned it a week layer for a free loaner while they sent it out for attention. Looks like a new door! Thanks Brilliance! You're our car people.

I researched used vehicles online and made an inquiry to this dealership about a vehicle that they had in stock. Richard W. reached out and pressured me to make an appointment. “Ok,” I think, “this is a bit aggressive but at least they’re invested in trying to sell me the car.” I drove out to look at the car and was directed to Richard. He didn’t seem particularly interested in me at all, provided no information, but I took the car for a test drive and there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with it. One red flag was that the vehicle was listed at the dealership with an outrageous price that was well above the price listed online. But I was still willing to consider purchasing the car for somewhere in the ballpark of what the online price was. I asked Richard what he could do for me on price, and he returned with the price listed online. I told him that price was slightly too high for me, and he told me he would work with me. I left the dealership, and the next day he contacted me again, which I took to mean that he was invested in selling me the car. I made an offer that would have anchored negotiations close to a price point that would have been only a few hundred dollars off the dealerships price. This time, however, Richard emphatically insisted that “the price is the price.” This gentleman repeatedly told me that there are no negotiations in used car purchases, which contradicted what he said to me earlier and was frankly somewhat insulting given my experience. He then proceeded to argue with me at length and refused to make a counteroffer, also implying that a used vehicle with high mileage was not “within my budget,” even though I communicated that I was willing to pay only a few hundred dollars less than the asking price. And, after all of that, I saw that the vehicle price was reduced online shortly thereafter by $500, contradicting, of course, what I had been told about “the price is the price.” Fortunately, I was able to purchase a new vehicle from another dealership, without the hassle I experienced here. I would recommend to be cautious about purchasing a vehicle here.

I bought a new 2021 Outback from Brilliance to replace my 2010 Outback which had over 201,500 miles on it. The 2010 was still a reliable vehicle due to the regular maintenance and repairs done in their service department. We just wanted a new vehicle with the Subaru quality and features. We trust the sales and service staff at Brilliance and recommend others try them out too.

Although extremely unhappy that my 2 day old car had to be taken for service I was impressed by the service provided. The service reps were polite and professional. They made arrangements to have my remote start installed which, when the car was purchased, was to take several days. Overall other then the fact that the car had to be serviced I was pleased.

I had purchased my Subaru at another dealer. This dealer stated that I need to get my first oil change much earlier than Brilliance. When I called to bring it at that time. Brilliance was very honest and told me to wait until 5, 000 miles. The person, which I spoked with, took to the time to make sure he was correct and that I could wait until 5,000 miles. On the day I came in, the process was easy. The person can outside where I was sitting to find me to let me know my car was ready. Everyone that I talked with was very friendly and helpful.

We came to Brillance after having some horrible experiences with other dealerships where we ended up walking out with a truck. New clean facility with good customer service. The management is keen to attract new business, for both sales and service work.They almost always wash your car, which is complimentary with a service appointment. This is even for an oil change. As such an oil change can take an hour. However for a quicker turnaround one can always request they not wash the car.

From my first email inquiring about internet pricing to driving off the lot last night, everything was smooth and very friendly. Up front Andrew Kanning was very helpful answering my many, many questions via email, and once I made it to the dealer, Ed Troike took the lead and was very easy to work with. Both of these guys were awesome and had a passion for what they do. Everything was very transparent and low pressure. Sure, they'll offer you different options and packages, but there isn't a "hard sell". Also, there was no pressure to move up to a more expensive trim package. I felt like I was pretty well informed from my internet research and I knew what I wanted, and they respected that and helped me get just what I wanted. I would recommend giving this dealer a visit if you're in Chicagoland and want a Subaru.

Brought Subaru Forester (2009) in due to a noise. Turned out to be a repeat of heat shield being loose. First time, they replaced a screw. This time they put in a permanent clamp. I was not charged for either service.Waiting room is very comfortable and coffee is provided.Service was speedy and agent was knowledgeable and polite.We just moved to Elgin and I am pleased with finding this convenient car store.

I took my 2006 Subaru Forrester in for inspection, it's been well cared for over the years, but has 116,000m with no troubles and needed a good going over before summer driving season. The inspection revealed that three items, front brakes and oil filter "O" ring, needed to be replaced. The dealership gave me a "loaner," took care of everything my car needed, and I was back on the road in 1-1/2 days. Couldn't be more pleased.

My overall purchasing experience was truly exceptional as it was so much more relaxing and the salesperson and manager made me feel comfortable. They went over everything with me and just made it truly as seamless as possible. I applaud them as they were very profesional yet very upfront and considerate too. Great experience at Brilliance Subaru in Elgin. I was in the market for a Subaru Crosstrek and found exactly what I was looking for on the lot. I did not feel pressure from the sales person, and when I said no to extra services and plans, my answer was accepted without pushback experienced at other manufacturer dealers.I highly recommend Subaru as a manufacturer of high-quality, high-value vehicles, and Brilliance Subaru as a high-quality, high-value dealer.

Truly easy experience. No games. The price they quoted me via e-mail was the price I paid. The entire staff was very attentive and wanted to make sure I was happy with the car. I have two friends who purchased from other dealerships and their experience was completely different from what I experienced at Brilliance. The biggest compliment I could give is that I would recommend Brilliance to anyone and I would buy from them again.

We originally went to Brilliance Subaru to look at a used 2015 Outback which we found listed on the internet. After looking over and test driving that Outback, we decided it was not the one for us. However, we looked around at the other Outbacks in stock and found a 2016 with the color and options that we were looking for. We then sat down with a salesman and worked out a price we can live with. We ended up spending a little more than originally planned, but we got a brand new car with everything we were looking for.

I came in for a simple repair. I was happy to find that the servicemen filled the air in my tires too. I thought the showroom and waiting area were quite nice. I had to ask twice for suggestions on tires for my vehicle, otherwise everything was excellent.

We were very pleased with the service we received from the entire staff at Brilliance Subaru. We had looked at our local dealership and walked away quite upset. The people at Brilliance were friendly, genuine, helpful, and willing to do whatever it took to make our shopping experience a pleasant one. It worked! We purchased a new car from them, and would recommend them to others. We believe it is important for people to look at online reviews of dealerships. We live in a different state and drove almost three hours to visit Brilliance Subaru. Yes, there were dealerships closer to us. However, when looking online at the inventory Brilliance had, in combination with their online reviews, we felt it would be worth the trip, and we were right!

This dealership has a great feel - you don't feel like you are buying a car. My salesperson Cindy Laudermilk was outstanding and made it a lot of fun for me. The finance manager Nate was a ton of fun, and the general manager Jim was really nice. I ordered a WRX and got it way ahead of time. I came here because of the reviews, and I am glad I did. Great people, great cars. Thanks for making it fun as I think I needed that!

Brilliance Subaru by far surpasses the other 2 Subaru dealerships in the area. Even though it's not the closest to me, I will continue to go there for all my service needs. Their service staff and customer service are exceptional. You can bet this will be the first place I go when the time comes around for a new vehicle.

Brilliance Subaru employees are always so professional. Their service area is really clean and the waiting room is clean and comfortable. If you wait for the work, they always tell you how long the service will take. I've never had to wait longer. The service writers always look for ways to help you save money on your service. I love being able to schedule service appointments online so I can find a time that fits into my schedule.

Ed Troike (Our sales rep) convinced me, thanks ED. I was hesitant about switching from Honda to Subaru but glad I did! 3 days after our purchase I was off to meet a friend for lunch when, a woman pull out in front of me turning in the same direction I was going and because I had Eyesight on my car came to stop. Man I am sure one of us would have not made it if it wasn't for Ed and my Subaru with Eyesight------ I truly believe it save one of our lives. This is was an exceptional sales experience. Ed Troike showed comprehensive product knowledge. The demonstration rides were instructive. A broader selection of colors would have been nice, but this is to be expected this time of year. We will certainly visit with Ed at Brilliance when we're ready to make another purchase.

Very smooth transaction. I drove several different Outback models and decided on the 3.6 model. Glad I did, the extra power of the 6 cylinder makes for a much more fun driving experience. So, far the vehicle is fine- no problems. When we picked up the Outback, my wife found a minor paint chip on the driver's door. Jim was very helpful with getting a repair arranged.

My wife and I went to Brilliance after seeing it as we drove by and we were looking for a new car for her. It is always with trepidation that we do this as we have had some not so great experiences with dealers. However, this was the best experience we ever had. Ed Troike was very helpful and made the experience very positive and without pressure. When he had to leave for awhile Brett Cassell to over and was equally as helpful. Ed returned in time to walk us through our new Legacy. I can honestly say that I will recommend these guys to everyone looking for a Subaru. This is our first one and so far we are very impressed. I actually am looking forward to future purchases as we need to replace our vehicles. Great prices, great customer service, just a great overall experience. "

Looking for a vehicle under $10K for our daughter to drive back and forth to college 450 miles away. Spoke to our salesperson Keith on the phone prior and decided to make the 60 mile trip to Elgin. Keith was very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful in making our choice. Felt like we got a good fair deal. Upon driving home the check engine light came on. Called Keith who turned me over to Jim the GM. Without hesitation he told me to turn around and they would take care of whatever the issue was. They gave me a loaner as well. They fixed a bad O2 sensor and everything is fine. They did the right thing and I can tell you that I don't think that's the exception with this dealer more the rule. If we are ever in the market for another used car or a Subaru in the future we will definitely be back.

I came to brilliance with specific demands on financing a particular car. After being welcomed into their new facility I sat down and got to buisness. With in minuets their salesman gave me the credit app and the finance guy went hard to work to meet my needs. I was not expecting such an easy experiance. Not once did they try to up sell me or offer something I didn't want. The car I was looking for they didn't have on the lot and they located the exact car after two weeks thru a dealer trade. I called daily nagging about the time frame of my car's arrival and this dealer kindly answered every question with positive feedback. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you find the right car. They dont just push you into one that's on their lot if it's not what you're looking for like the experiance I had at Gary Lang.

From the moment I stepped into the showroom to look at the cars, I was greeted warmly and felt very comfortable. The product and sales people took time to explain the vehicles features and were patient with me when it took me a little time to fully understand. I did not feel I was being rushed at any time.
