Definitely recommend coming to buy a vehicle at Capitol Chevrolet. Whether it be new or used that you're looking for, the team there are awesome! Everyone has great customer service and knowledge you look for in a salesperson without that cold selling attitude that other places have. I was not looking forward to talking, much less sitting down with a salesperson, but Ruben Salazar made it extremely easy and our experience was a good one. He went above and beyond for us and we very much appreciate it! We were able to drive out of there with a truck that we loved thanks to Ruben and his team! We bought a used car from Capital Chevrolet in Dec. of last year because a family member recommended them. It was a great experience and Manny really took care of us. So naturally when we needed a 2nd used car, he was the only person we called even though we had moved to Manor (not a quick trip when you can't get anyone to return your phone call). However, it appears that our experience last year was the exception and not the norm. This time we were sold a car that within two days started giving us a lot of trouble; check engine light came on, car was stuttering, shaking, and dying. There was a warranty but when my husband called he was given the run around for a few days. Finally, it was taken in for service with the promise that it would only be in for a few days. We struggled as a family to get all of us to school, work, and back home in only one vehicle. We were eventually given a loaner car that was a lifesaver considering the car was in Capital's possession for over 3 weeks! We still had faith in Capital and didn't worry about making the 1st month's payment thinking the car would be in great shape after being "serviced" for so long. Our faith was poorly place since the car was in the EXACT SAME CONDITION AS WHEN IT WAS LEFT! Same problems! By this point we just want to return the car. But we were told b/c the first payment was already made they can only take the car back as a trade towards another vehicle. Alright, we were willing to work that out even though it seems very convenient that they kept the car so long that a payment had to be made so now the car can't be returned. Instead of working with us, Capital has taken this opportunity to try and force us into a more expensive vehicle with a higher monthly payment. We have been trying for almost 3 weeks to get into another vehicle but are only offered vehicles that are not an option for us financially. They expect us to pay more a month b/c they don't have any other inventory but refuse to change that they are valuing the car at less than 1/2 of what they sold it for less than 2 months ago. On top of that, the down payment we put towards the original car "doesn't count" towards anything. We spoke to the manager, Lazarus Marquart, who assured us something would be worked out soon and now our calls aren't being returned. I have left 4 messages for Alex Flores today and although he was in the office, somehow failed to return my calls. I usually don't expect anyone to call me back in just a day but my patience has run out and I have no faith left in Captial. I am sorry we ever went back and that we made so many trips to South Austin just to get someone to acknowledge we were having troubles with the car from the get-go. I am expecting to have to take more time off from work tomorrow to get someone to respond to me.

My name is Marilyn, and My hopes of getting into a new car were becoming a nightmare. I tried many car lots and always felt I wasn't getting a good deal for my money, or that I was getting my strings pulled. My luck changed when I was referred to Derrick Evans at Capitol Chevrolet. He was available and ready to met us at our first outreach. Nerves and prior letdowns made us skeptical of our continued search for a new vehicle, but we put that behind usand made our way over. 3hrs after our hand shake with Mr. Evans I was signing papers for my new 2016 Chevy Malibu!!!! I'm completely satisfied with my new purchase and I couldn't have done it with out the help of Derrick; he was very informative and had our best interest in mind throughout the process. I have never had a car transaction go this smoothly. I got the EXACT car I wanted at a LOWER price than I anticipated. I absolutely love my new SUV. My Salesman, Eugene Flowers, bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied and followed up a week or two later. He made the car available for us to drive out after he was already off on a Saturday. On the day I went to pick it up the paperwork was in order- no hidden surprises - I was in and out of the finance office and on the highway within 30-40 minutes . I wouldn't just refer people to Eugene at Cap Chevy I absolutely encourage it. He is a Class Act Dealer in a Class Act Dealership - you can't go wrong with those 2 positives. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another car from here.

He didnt beat around the bush like all these other salesmen at they other dealerships we visited, while car shopping. He was very friendly and easy to talk to as well as the team that he works with. The dealership website was user friendly making it simpler in helping me select the car I was searching for prior to my arrival. I had an appointment with Ruben S. at 6pm on a Monday in which he called me to confirm. Upon greeting me, Ruben was delightfully kind and was clearly there to help me get exactly what I wanted. I have been looking for a new Silverado LTZ with 2WD, nicely appointed, WITH the 6.2L engine for a year and a half. I could have ordered one and waited the 60 - 90 days to have one built, but I didn't want to go that route. Capitol had 3 2017's in stock, one in my preferred color, and I was able to buy my elusive Silverado.Capitol's Internet Sales guy, Eddie Sifuentes, helped me greatly with my buying process, and suggested I get a CarMax appraisal when the first trade offer was way too low. He was able to get me $500 over the CarMax appraisal, and that got my out-of-pocket cost for the truck lowered by over $10,000! That's the kind of car salesperson I like.Eddie kept going out of his way to deliver the truck to my home, and volunteering to pick it up and take it back to the dealership next week when some dealer-installed options that were ordered come in.Marco in Finance was also very helpful, keeping his sense of humor as our transaction kept him at his desk until after 9:30 pm on a Friday night. He got everything done to wrap up the sale to our satisfaction in spite of the late hour.Thanks to the Capitol Chevrolet team - this is the second new Silverado I have purchased there, and I will keep coming back.

I had a great experience dealing with Ron Favis as my Salesman. He was very friendly, and made everything very clear about what was going on through every step. However where this dealership falls short is their timeliness and efficiency. I arrived at the dealership around 9:45am, and was not finished until 6:45pm. Although the payment was finished around 2:30pm it was negotiated that I would receive new tires, that they would fix the recall part, and detail my vehicle. I was told an hour later at 3:30 my truck was just put on a lift to begin being worked on. 2 hours later I was told my vehicle was ready to be transported to Firestone to get new tires. However they failed to detail my car and was told I had to wait even longer for my vehicle to be ready. This dealership was not very efficient, and seemed to not communicate with each other on what was being done. I was told by many different people the same thing repeatedly, because they were not communicating with each other. If you are trying to only spend half a day getting a vehicle, then you're better off going somewhere else. If you don't mind spending 9-10 hours waiting then this is the place for you. Again, Ron was fantastic and none of the waiting was his fault. The finance and service departments were very slow.

Mr.Evans had us in and out within an hour and a half. The process was so smooth and he did everything he needed to do to get me in a car that fit my needs. Gene Flowers is exceptionally personable, professional, and I really appreciated how he made me feel welcome and completely satisfied with my experience. Derrick Evans did a great job attending to my needs and made the buying process as smooth as possible, especially considering I wasn't the most profitable customer. I was initally hesistant to go because the dealership ia 45 mins away from my house, but it was a decision well made. My girlfriend and I just all of a sudden decided at the last minute to go look for a truck. It was close to closing time but we were just meant to look around. She told me about her family friend Ron Favis that happened to work at Capitol Chevrolet. So it was 5 till 8pm which is the time they normally close and we just parked and started to look around at the trucks and that was when I saw her. My big red aka my Toyota Tacoma truck that I had actually been wanting for years and you know with family life and working so much I put that aside but when i saw her I just knew that it was time my time to receive my blessing. SO long story short we happen to literally catch Ron Favis on his way out for the night and we even suggested we would come back because we understood he had a long day plus we were just car looking not thinking it was going to happen. Ron said is that the truck you truly want and if not any other choices we said no that was my dream truck and he said well I am going to get you in it. We started our process and of course left but the next working day Ron called us to come in and sign some paperwork and that my dream truck was mine. I started to smile so big and just thanked god for my blessing. But also grateful to Ron Favis for helping me and aiding me in every which way when he could have just left for the day but instead made sure we started our process to get me in to my truck. Highly and Strongly Recommend not just Capitol Chevrolet but Ron Favis to everyone I know and is reading or listens to me!!!!

I went to see a friend of the family Ron Favis originally to get someone else in a car so my expectations were not to leave with a car myself. But Ron kept asking me are you sure? Go look at the lot and pick out a car that you love and trust me I got you and you will have the car of your dreams. Not that I did not believe him but I knew my credit was not that great and that I had never been told that and actually left with the car of my dreams so i was a little skeptic at first but Ron reassured me that he would work it out and he would bless me with the car. So i was in a hurry that friday night so i just left my application and information with Ron and before I knew it he was calling me on the phone telling me You got it. You are qualified for your dream car. I was super excited that the next morning we were there bright and early picking out my dream car and there it was my 2015 Chevy Malibu Lt. Beautiful and decked out which In my mind I was like there is no way I am able to get this car off the lot but again Ron reassured me that it was mine. So once my car was picked Ron asked me was this the one? I said yes and the rest was history. The process after that was easy and despite them being extremely busy that day I did not have to wait that long. I got my car, my monthly rate and more than I could have asked or imagined. If you are truly looking for any used or new car, truck or suv I highly recommend go see Ron Favis at Capitol Chevrolet. You will not be disappointed!!!

I went to this lot, not really expecting to leave the lot with a car. Got out of the car and there were some nice people out greeting us to come in and if we had been helped.I met Ron Favis and was instructed to walk the lot and see if I saw anything I liked. I walked the lot looking at all the cars. I came across this white Nissan Altima. I could not move. It was mines at that point. Ron did everything I have never seen a car salesman do. All he asked me was, this the one you like? And the rest was history. The process was pretty easy and the wait was okay since they were extremely busy. My daughters 2012 Cruze developed a water pump leak. Google searches revealed the defect is covered under a service campaign bulletin issued by GM. After 2 very frustrating weeks working with another Austin area dealerships to fix this problem, we dropped the Cruze off at Capitol Chevrolet. They provided an efficient and straight forward service experience. No 2 week lead time nonsense we experienced with other local dealership. Friendly and effective service staff at Capitol Chevrolet. not one person there is happy with what they do or where they work. i have an 8am appoint and show up 3 minutes early. there isnt any clear signage of where to go for service. no one smiles at this place or has any kind of welcoming. i had to wait 15 minutes to actually see the person who was going to take care of me. he said it would take a few hours. he said he can have the shuttle take me to work. i had to wait 45 minutes for the shuttle then it took almost an hour for me to get to work because we had other people on the shuttle. i called at 2pm because i have yet to hear anything and they said they were working on the vehicle. then i still heard nothing from them. i called the next morning and spoke to my person and he said he called me. i filled out the paperwork and have neat handwriting and no he never called me. he said he spoke to a man and he said he was going to pick it up. um... my number is the only one listed. finally got my car and it takes about 30 minutes for them to pull it out from the garage. i will not come back here nor will i recommend them.

Rudy and Charlie are the most genuine people I have ever met in my life. Honestly every single employee I had the pleasure speaking to at Capitol Cheverolet was extremely informative, respectful and hilarious. Seriously, the place is popping with good vibes. This place is a scam! They use false advertising to make the sale then rush you through the signing process to make a quick buck. Derrick Evans and his associates work together to take advantage of customers. We agreed to pay an online purchase price of 12,000, which Derrick confirmed before contract signing, but then we were charged an additional 5,000 because they decided to change the price as the contract papers were printing. Derrick admitted the error was their fault (most the "internet department") but refused to adjust the price to 12,000 even though the online price of 12,000 was posted on several different websites. Don't trust anything they say! They could care less about their customers or the effect of their illegal deals on hard working Americans. They also added over 400 for life insurance for my family without our consent--- Who does that?! Run the other way and don't trust con-artist like Derrick Evans

Set up appointment for one day repair in an out! Took sixteen days to get on schedule everything work out just as planned. Brought it in at 0815hrs service tech Matt, set me up with ride home and called me at 4pm to say it's ready! Only close call was normal shuttle driver Manny goes home at 4pm. I thought this would be a problem for someone to pick me up. However Matt made it happen arrived at dealership around 545 pm and payed my bill and tech, Jim and Matt made sure my problems were repaired to my satisfaction. Everything was excellent and I left a satisfied Customer! Thanks Matt and Jim ( Corvette Tech) Great Job!??

Just bought a brand-new, 2016 Chevy Spark, and it was smooth sailing. Ben Arnette was awesome to work with and actually made buying a car an enjoyable experience. This is hands down the WORST customer service experience I have ever received. The easiest way to explain this is with a list of every possible way that this dealership failed. 1. The used car dealer who was assisting me in the purchase of my 2013 Black Chevy Volt was fired from the company. His service was so incredibly awful in the following ways: Not ONCE was any voicemail I left ever returned. Not once was any consideration of my time in the office ever taken into account. For one of many examples, when I had already waited well over two hours in their sales office for financing to come back with loan approval, my sales associate (now fired) told me he was going to expedite the loan approval process. Instead, I watched him walk straight onto the lot and begin selling a vehicle to another customer. In addition, the fact I even had to wait in that office blows my mind because all of these financing requests could have been made well in advance of my second visit to the dealership because all the possible loan packages had already been discussed.2. When trying to price the car, the sales team had three different individuals offering me well over ten different payment options before allowing me to leave the office the first time. If you walk into this office, expect to spend at least two hours being sold on every possible sales package under the sun.3. When trying to determine the purchase price of the car, my sales associate attempted to quote me a starting price that was $3,000 above the list price of the car on Autotrader. If you are going into this office, expect to be tricked into starting list price that is significantly higher than anything they actually offered online. Be vigilant, because Capitol Chevrolet will try to trick you. 4. When attempting to complete the work that was promised on the car, I was required to bring my car into their dealership not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, SIX times to get a simple backup camera added and a new front grill. In addition, the back up camera that was added to the car was not the camera that was originally promised by the sales representative that was fired, but instead a camera that was awkwardly placed on the rear view mirror with guidelines that were not dynamic (They did not move as the steering wheel moves). If you go to Capitol Chevrolet, make sure you literally write down the exact items you expect to be put on the car down to their placement, cost, expectations of delivery of services, and any other possible concerns under the sun. 5. After purchase, I realized that the windshield was cracked in two places on the passenger side. Because this is a legitimate safety concern, I requested that Capitol Chevrolet fix the issue. I was PROMISED by manager "A" that this issue would be resolved within the next day. Instead, the next day I was told by a manager "B" that this issue would not be resolved because, "They were already doing so much for me". How can someone bring a safety concern about a vehicle to a certified dealership, be lied to about the problem being fixed, and then told that they simply just don't care enough about your safety. 6. One of the times I left my vehicle with them for service I was given a loaner vehicle. Nice service right? Wrong. Not even two hours after I left the dealership with their loaner vehicle I received a phone call requesting access to that vehicle. Why? They had left another customers personal items in this vehicle, and now that customer was demanding access to the car. I was already out of town by this point, and told them they had to simply access the vehicle themselves. In true Capitol Chevrolet fashion, I never received a phone call back as to rather or not they ended up needing access to the vehicle. In addition, the vehicle interior looked like absolute shit, and may as well have been a garbage can for the previous owner. The fact that a customer would ever be given a loaner vehicle in this condition blows my mind.7. As I am writing this review I am attempting to sort out the fact that my license plates and registration are well over a month and a half late. An individual at their dealership just called and said that I am "confused". What kind of customer service company EVER tells a customer that they are confused. It took me seven different calls today just to get an answer of rather or not my license plates had been ordered.8. For every time that I went into their office, for every different manger that I spoke to about the vehicle, for every phone call I made that was never returned, I never once had someone simply admit their fault and apologize. Every time I entered the office I was ushered into a side office to avoid other customers hearing me voice my absolutly reasonable concerns. I was even asked by management to not treat them too harshly despite laying out all of the above concerns to them in my most recent visit. Never take your business here. I promise it will be bad.

I went into look for a reasonably priced SUV that would fit the needs of my family of 7. My whole mind set was focused on a used one due to the expense of a new model SUV. I'm proud to say after spending all day at the dealership I walked out with a brand new 2016 Chevrolet Traverse. Internet salesperson was denigrating to potential buyer and failed to respond to a legitimate offer. Basically if you don't like our price, you obviously can't afford it so get lost. Sales people need to be trained in the art of negotiating and communication skills. A simple response of "that is our best price" might have resulted in a sale. In this day of internet shopping and buying, this dealership definitely needs to step up its game.

While traveling from Chicago,the air deflector cracked on my 2010 Buick. Being a stranger,I didn'tknow where to have it repaired. Searching the internet,I found Capitol. So I received an email from Beverly. I asked the color and price becasue it was not listed long story short after waiting to hear back 3 days later then I get passed to another person Shawn I agreed to give him my cell so he could text pictures, well two days later no pictures and he tells me they sold it, and that it wasn't in my budget anyway but they have plenty of other vehicles. No way. I did give him my budget but he said would I come in if he got it in my budget at the top of my range I said yes, please send pictures. Never heard from him last message was Saturday morning at 9:34 am saying they were just cleaning up the SUV and he would send pics. I text him Monday saying what's up never heard back he said oh they sold the truck and you mentioned it was out of your price range anyway. So fustrating!

They were straight up with me but also very positive about everything . Of course I spent a little bit there at the dealership but they made it worth it at the end. We went to Capital Chevrolet after my parents had recently purchased a new Tahoe from Joseph. We were not "needing" a new car but who doesn't want a new car? So I contacted Joseph with a few cars that my husband and I liked online. We were able to schedule an appointment with him and he said he would have the cars we looked at online ready for us to look at that day. We arrived, (the dreaded walking into a dealership because you know that salesmen will swarm you from every angle) and a nice man asked if had been helped and he pages Joseph for us. We arrived early, so while we waited (maybe 5 minutes max), the staff were super friendly offered us drinks, snacks, and didn't even blink an eye at my toddler crawling all over the cars inside the showroom. Joseph came up and introduced himself, and already has the cars we had told him about ready to go. We were able to hop right in and test drive and compare the difference, pros and cons for our family. Almost seems to good to be true for a car salesman! He was extremely patient, did not hover while my husband and I discussed things, and very knowledgable. Once we had decided that we did want to trade in my car the process was beyond easy and fast! As car buying goes, we went back a forth, but only ONCE! Joseph got us exactly what we wanted for the amount that we could afford. He is by far the nicest and most professional salesman I have ever worked with. He continues to check on us and make sure we are happy or if we have any questions. Also, my parents who are older and have LOTS of questions about features - Joseph, still months after the sale continues to assist them with any questions they have. We have never enjoyed the car buying experience more then we did with Joseph at Capital Chevrolet.

Overall experience was very good. Didn't have much interaction with my salesman because I came from out of town and did most of the work over the internet and phone. My salesman (Phillip) did an excellent job over the phone and I was happy with the way he handled the sale. He had the vehicle ready to go when I arrived. I thought it took a little bit too long to get the final paperwork done. Had to wait about an hour for that. I would rate the experience a 9 out of a 10.

I made an honest mistake thinking my last (free) oil change was before 25,000 miles. I was not expecting to have to pay. They informed me that it was 24,000 and was very nice although I was honestly mistaken. I was not happy that I was not reminded at my last oil change that the last one was before 24,000 miles.The manager came over very nicely and spoke to me and did waive the fee for my last oil change which I REALLY APPRECIATED. The service guy that waited on me initially ask me if everything was o.k as I was leaving. (which was nice) I WILL be back for my future oil changes just because everyone was so nice & professional. Normally I get my oil changed in Lockhart where I live but I feel better about Capitol doing it in the future. Thank You for the great customer service.

Disappointed that a few on August 17, 2015, I sent an email to the dealership regarding my concerns that their employees were parking dealer plated vehicles in the handicap parking next to service area. No response from dealership at all. I had to call and speak to Mr. Ruiz, and he told me he had misplaced my email, as a disabled Vet I was upset that he seemed to not care about it. It's not the first time I have witnessed dealer tagged cars in the handicap. I was planning to buy another vehicle from them but now thinking about going to Henna.

This was my best experience at a dealership. Sales manager Phillip was such a wonderful help. I had the hardest time finding a good deal with a trade in. My path finder had a negative Equity of 2400 which was making it had to trade in with no down payment. I called in spoke to Philip and explained I wanted a cruze or Malibu. He found me the best deal with a 2015 chevy cruze. I loveeee my car. He also went out of his way to explain paperwork to my grandmother over the phone. I expected the wait and it met my expectations. About 90 mins or so, but Wi-Fi helps. It is a MUST to have good WiFi, which you do. I went on Saturday which is quite busy as well, but the time was good for that amount of customers.

I came in and was immediately greeted by someone, even though he was with a customer. Then we were introduced to Diana who was AMAZING! We came here by chance just driving by after leaving another dealership up the road where we had a HORRIBLE experience. I explained to Diana what had happened there and told her I would like to get a trade in value for my vehicle before I was certain of purchasing because I wanted to sell it outright if I could not get what i wanted. After gathering a little information, she took the truck back to get that information for us...this was very surprising because I am well aware that is one of the games that dealerships play. She did not. When she returned she gave me a quote on the vehicle which I was very satisfied with and she proceeded to ask us what we were looking for in a vehicle and then took us out in the rain to see them for ourselves, keeping our price range in mind. She talked to us about personal things while we were shopping and it seemed more like we were looking at trucks with a friend and not a sales associate. When it came time to do the numbers, she was just as friendly and did not play games with us...everything was up front. I asked her about the process being so easy and she explained how the dealership owner truly cares about the customer and so the sales reps there do not play the common car buying tricks that others do. I was simply AMAZED by how easy it was to do business here and find EXACTLY what we were looking for! For the first time ever, I was even honored to meet the "man behind the curtain" that helped work the deal that normally you do not get to see. He came out while we were waiting for finance and shook our hands and thanked us for our business. I was amazed! Our finance representative was very friendly as well and kept us laughing! This was BY FAR the easiest transaction I have ever made in car buying and Capital Chevrolet has gained customers for life as well as several referrals to anyone who will listen to me!

This is my 4th time coming to Joseph for a vehicle. First helped me out when I was looking for a small car while my car was being worked on from an accident. Again when my niece bought her first car, when my brothers car was totaled and needed a new car, and this time when we needed a bigger vehicle because we were extending our family. Everytime that we came back he was ready to work with a great attitude and always a smile on his face. He worked with us to look for a vehicle each time and not just trying to get us to buy a car. He was patient and great about helping us find what we wanted. I think when looking for our SUV we went through about 3 or 4 before we found the right one. But the whole time he kept his smile up and work face on. I have always recommended people to go visit him. Even have my parents looking for their next car with him. I went in for an Oil change and a recall check on the seats on my new Colorado. Service people were nice and friendly. I asked how long it would take because I had to leave at specific time. I was told 1.5 hours and the job was done within that time.

Everything about our experience at Capitol Chevrolet was excellent, especially our sales person - Robert Murray. The only negative was that the delivery of our ordered truck took almost 3 weeks longer than the longest original estimate. It was frustrating that we knew it was sitting on a lot in holding just down the road in San Antonio and it didn't seem that there was much that the dealership could do to get it up to Austin despite the fact that it was a sold vehicle.

When my check engine light came on with me just 10 min. from the dealership, I decided to head that way. After being greeted and a couple of questions about the ck. engine light, my Malibu was taken right in and diagnosed. Turned out it was a needed software update. Can't say a enough good things about the Service Dept. at Capital Chevrolet. I was in and out in about an hour. Front passenger-side tire slow leak...after several attempts to locate leak I suspected the TPMS valve since the location indicator was wrong, too. EJ had them check out the correct tire this time and found a little nail in the inside sidewall. The TPMS was re-adjusted and the new tire looks good.

First of all I would like to say I love Chevy! I have owned 2 Buicks and a Ford Windstar then ended up buying a Chevy Aveo in 2006. I drove my little car all over the U.S. and it held up well with all my road trips and commuting to work. Easy to find parking and great gas mileage. I loved that car but it was time to move on and purchase another car. I went to Capital Chevy looking for another little car like my Aveo. I looked at the Chevy Spark which is an updated version of my beloved Chevy Aveo lol It was really tough for me to let go of my old car and honestly wanted to cry. I thought my salesman Bo Freeman would think I was nuts for getting a little emotional letting go of my car but he let me know it was perfectly normal. He was so understanding and not pushy at all. Bo Freeman helped making my new car purchase easier. I'm happy with my Spark and very happy with the service I received at the dealership. Everyone was very nice. I spent several weeks on multiple sites, searching a 200 mile radius for good deals on a 2013 Texas Edition, Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT. Having done my research, I dropped by after work a few times to check out inventory, and met Bo Freeman. We test drove a few vehicles and I told him exactly what I was looking for. Within a day, he texted me pictures of a truck that was coming in that afternoon, and told me to stop by after work, with a note that said, "This is the one." Fast forward to a week later, he was absolutely correct. That Texas Edition Silverado is a beautiful head-turning black and chrome ride, with two tone calfskin leather interior, low miles, bluetooth, premium sound, and clean as whistle inside and out. Pure artwork, precision machinery... and goes without saying, probably the best vehicle I've ever owned. I broke it in right last week, threw fishing gear in the back, and took my daughter fishing the very same day I bought it. (She landed a big channel cat, btw...) I couldn't be happier. And Bo? Probably the coolest, most honest, no pressure salesman I've ever met. He's the real deal folks. Huge thanks to Bo and the folks down at Capitol Chevy!

My only disappointment was with the design of the Chevrolet Express tail light assembly. It cost me $42.22 to change the burnt out bulb in the right rear assembly, MORE THAN THE ENTIRE OIL CHANGE at $39.72!!! A customer used to be able to replace burnt out bulbs by themselves!!!!

I had a problem with my Impala so I called to make an appointment. The quickest they could schedule was 2 weeks later. So 2 weeks later I show up on time at 9:00 AM on Wednesday April 22nd. The problem I was experiencing was an obvious clunking in the drivetrain when you applied or released the accelerator. I called Wednesday afternoon to see what they found. Nothing as no one had looked at the car. I called Thursday afternoon - Nothing as no one had looked at the car. This in spite of the fact I had a scheduled appointment . I called Friday around noon and they said they needed more details about the problem as they had driven the car and did not notice anything. I suspect this was just an excuse to pacify me and make me believe they were actually trying to diagnose the problem. I called once again on Monday and they said according to their computer records the car had been assigned to a tech but that was all they knew. When I asked if they had determined the problem they said they would have to talk with the technician. and call me back in 10 minutes. That was 2 and a half hours ago and still no word. So basically now my car has been in their shop for 5 days and they have not had anyone look at it to diagnose the problem, much less start to repair it.

You should seriously consider appointments for routine services like oil changes. My oil changes have taken about 2 hours each, and that is too long for something I can get done in 45 minutes at any oil change service much closer to my home or office. Your employees are wonderful.

This is has been a long on and off relationship with Capitol Chevrolet. I have had the same problem with my vehicle for at least two years and it seems the mechanic that worked on my vehicle this time, may be on to something. Today is the first time I have driven my trailblazer without it sounding like a tank or rattling. There is still some reeving of the engine but improved. I think that they may have gotten very close to fixing the problem. It may need a little more tweaking. The Service representative Tony Sauceda kept me informed about the necessary work and, he has good customer service skills. I hope he and the mechanic that serviced my vehicle will be around for a while.

I drove 3 1/2 hrs to Capitol Chevrolet in Austin, where I was greeted, as soon as I gotten out of my pickup by Robert Murray. I told him what I wanted, and he took me to the exact pickup I was looking for! He was a nice polite guy, I will definitely be buying another vehicle from him in the near future! He made the process smooth and stress free! I worked with the finance manager Charlie Baldwin, he was a great guy also. He told me about different warranties that I needed to know about. As a customer The first thing i look for is friendliness, cause if their not friendly or don't respect you why would you want to deal with them right? Well This not my first but my 2nd time in the last 7 months buying a car from this dealership from and having the pleasure buying both cars from Joseph llanos. Not only did he help me buy my first car in such a very informative way, but he was super super friendly. I felt like I was buying a car from one of my friends. Not only was he super friendly but he was very informative about the car, which I knew nothing about. He helped me get the car I want, for the price I wanted and even the color. He listened very carefully to what we wanted and needed esp after I totaled my first car. He was even a bigger help the 2nd time around and I couldn't be happier we got to have him as our salesman again. I also like how no matter what questions or conerns I have or how many times I ask the same question he always there to help and never gets annoyed. He very approachable and like I stated above he like one of my friends. He makes you feel very welcomed and at home. He treats you like family. Which makes me feel great because I know any concerns or questions I have about my car, I know I can contact Joseph without any worry, because let's face it me knowing anything about cars is like asking a theatre major about football.. Took car in for repars to be fixed come to find out as soon as I got it back and another comes for it car is having problems it did not have before I took it in. Now it will cost me another $1000 dollars or so to fix it. I am not happy and wish I took it somewhere else. Not to mention it took it took for to get the work done. Will never have auto work done here again. Anyone going here you are probably better off going somewhere else unless you want the headache.

Couldn't be more satisfied with my experience at Capitol! I have been to nearly EVERY big dealership in Austin and not one can hold a match to these guys! NO HASSLES, and my sales person Justin Smith was low pressure, very professional, extremely knowledgable, and very handsome! I have some credit issues and was worried I couldn't get financed for a car... with the help of his awesome finance manager Art, they were able to get me done-and my payment wound up being lower than what I had already agreed to pay!! I bought a pre-owned Toyota SUV from Capital Chevrolet and could not have expected any better service than what was provided to me. I drove from Dallas to Austin to buy this car and the salesperson, Gary Trussel, was very professional and forthcoming. As expected, I was hesitant to drive over 3 hours and then have to go back empty handed even though we negotiated the price over the phone. I was concerned that the car would not be in the condition that I was told over the phone and there maybe some issues. It turned out that the car was exactly how it was explained over the phone and Gary did a terrific job in ensuring that my trip was not wasted.I would recommend to go see Gary at Capital if you are looking for a car. He took care of me and made me a happy customer.

Was in market for new Tahoe to replace my 2007 that was showing its age. Went to several dealers and had almost committed to one dealer but called Capitol and talked with Davis Bashman; I had had contact with him about 3 months earlier when was scouting out new Tahoe's. Just had Tahoe at CarMax and told David what I wanted and he said he had the vehicle with more items on it. Stated did not need navigation system and trailer package; He asked me to come and look at it and gave me a great price. I was needed to pick up school children and told him to put in the sunroof and that I would pick up the vehicle in two days and left a deposit. That was it. I showed up two days later and Lazarus was a great help and spend a lot of time with me (David on vacation) I am on a bandwagon that front desk should have coins so that the soda machine is free. David had to ask over 6 salesperson for a coins. When someone spends at Capitol, there should be a free drink station. janet mijares

Customer Service was excellent. I took my truck in to be repaired and the repairs were not completed in one day. The dealership gave me a free loaner vehicle and they even picked me up from work and brought me back to the dealership to pick up the loaner vehicle. The only thing I had to pay for was to put gas back into the loaner vehicle. Their customer service was excellent and I do believe they went above and beyond to help me out. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends.

My wife and I selected Capitol Chevrolet as the dealer and David Basham as the salesperson to begin our car buying experience based on their excellent ratings and we were not disappointed. Everyone we met at Capitol Chevrolet was competent and helpful. The key to the car buying experience is the salesperson. David had good product knowledge, worked hard, and delivered what he promised on our new vehicle and our trade-in vehicle. My wife and I spent several weeks test driving and evaluating different trim levels, options and colors for a 2015 Suburban and eventually decided on a combination that was pretty scarce. I personally looked through the internet inventory of about a dozen dealers for such a vehicle without success. David located a vehicle that met our requirements and had it delivered to Austin in less than a week. The atmosphere at Capitol is low key, but very attentive, and I highly recommend them for an excellent car buying experience.

I would definitely recommend Capitol Chevrolet to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. Ben Reinke was my salesman not only was he very polite. He is very knowledgeable. Lets start with the fact that I have never experienced anything like it when I went to any other dealership. I went to multiple dealerships with the situation I was in and every time was told there was nothing they could do for me as well as one dealership said "It was impossible to help me out or get me in a new vehicle". I walked up to Bo at Capitol Chevrolet and explained my situation and what I was looking for. He replied with the following statement, "I can help you with that! Lets go inside and get you in that truck!". Well with all his hard work, as well as his team, I am now driving a new truck! Bo's team did everything possible to help me out! The reason we choose this dealership was for their wider variety of colors and trims. Everyone was friendly when we arrived. AWESOME service! It was nice to be able to start the process online. It is so annoying to be handed a piece of paper that has been copied so many times that it is distorted, and being asked to hand write a ton of information in tiny little spaces. The prompt phone call after submitting the online information was also nice. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. This was not the only dealership we went to, but in the end, the service and quality of the car won our business. I usually dread shopping for a new car, but this experience exceeded my expectations and made it a painless process. Lazarus had his work cut out for him since my husband and I were not at all on the same page on what we wanted. Lazarus found us a good compromise that we both agreed on and loved. Sid was so helpful explaining the additional coverages and the terms and conditions so we could make good, informed decisions. I will (and have) referred others to this dealership. The Malibu is perfect and I'm so glad we went with that. Thanks, guys!

First of all i talked to Earnest on the phone.He was very polite and friendly,and invited me down not to look but to choose a truck i wanted,and he would get me in that truck.He treated me like a true friend,concerned not only with buying a truck but building my credit back up as i hadnt financed anything in seven years.He was concerned for my future and not just today.I was very much at ease from the start,because of his knowledge,attitude,charisma,and the fact that he cared about me.We went through the process with him explaining every step. First of all i talked to Earnest on the phone.He was very polite and friendly,and invited me down not to look but to choose a truck i wanted,and he would get me in that truck.He treated me like a true friend,concerned not only with buying a truck but building my credit back up as i hadnt financed anything in seven years.He was concerned for my future and not just today.I was very much at ease from the start,because of his knowledge,attitude,charisma,and the fact that he cared about me.We went through the process with him explaining every step. This was my first time to take my Chevrolet Silverado in for service after buying it at Capitol Chevrolet over a year ago. My experience with the sales staff was not the best I'd ever had buying a new vehicle in Austin, so I was reluctant to come back for service. I was most pleasantly surprised with the ease of making an appointment for my service and being able to wait in their new, comfortable and inviting waiting area (or to get a ride to work). Their free wi-fi enabled me to work from the waiting area, so I stayed. My service rep, Jesse Vega, took personal care of me when I arrived, and kept me posted on the progress of the service technicians while my truck was in the shop. He helped me with my check-out paperwork and with the cashiers, who weren't sure how to handle the coupon I had. The work they did was great and didn't split hairs or quibble about whether my problem was a warranty issue or not - they just fixed it. I will definitely go back to Capitol Chevrolet for my service after my most positive experience here.

Where to begin...I originally began my relationship with this dealership in 2010. I purchased a certified used 2008 Chevy Malibu. I loved it. The experience was great, the people were great, I recommended this place to everyone. I traded in my 2008 Chevy in 2012, for a new 2012 Chevy Malibu. This is where the story gets good. The salesman (who's name I can't recall) took my used car to get trade-in value. He drove my car to the trade-in area and drove it back to the sales area when he was done. He hops out of the car with two hotdogs and a large drink. I was shocked. Since when do salesmen think it's okay to have food in someone else's car? That wasn't it. He came in, sat down, and proceeded to eat his hotdogs while discussing pricing with me. I debated saying "Never mind" and walking out. Even to this day, I wish I had. I ended up purchasing the car anyway. I got to San Antonio, where I was going to college at the time, and realized he didn't give me the extra set of keys in my package. I had to drive all the way back to the dealership to get the extra set. I ended up losing my normal set a few months later and tried to use the extra set I was given and they didn't work! They hadn't programmed the key to my car so my car wouldn't start with it.Any way, fast forward to now. My car has had an issue with the traction control. For some reason, it continuously keeps turning off my traction control and telling me "Service Traction/ESC". My car has visited the dealership twice in two months. I have had my car MAYBE a week since December 1, 2013. Today is February 5, 2014. They have not been able to locate the problem but are hoping that it has something to do with another issue I got taken care of. I received a call from Angel yesterday stating that my car is ready. Great. I can't wait to pick up my car. I get there and they tell me that I owe them for the gas that they've put in my car recently. While they were only requesting that I pay $15.00, I had just paid $25.00 to fill the rental I had to half-tank in order to return it. Keep in mind, they've had my car for over a month, so it is highly unlikely that they put in more gas than I had left it with as they had to use gas in order to test drive it. My car is also under warranty. After arguing my point for a while, I was able to leave the dealership without paying a dime. Here's where I think everyone should pay attention. I got into my car to find coffee or some dark drink had been spilled all over my driver's side. They hardly cleaned it, my window was extremely sticky, and it smelled. I'm not sure what has happened to Chevy's customer service, but under no circumstance should any employee have food or drinks in a customers car. Much less spill something and not clean it up. I'm not sure if they thought I wouldn't notice, but I have. I've also contacted Chevrolet's corporate customer service department and have filed a complaint. I tagged Jesse Vega in this post for one reason, he is the ONLY reason that I will continue to go to Capitol Chevy while I keep my Malibu. He is the most amazing, customer service oriented employee they have. He has always made sure that I am taken care of. In the future, he will be the ONLY service employee I will do business with. I have not been had good experiences with anyone else.

Capitol Chevrolet worked with us on getting the vehicle we wanted. This included where the vehicle was, when they were going to get it, when they returned etc. We appreciated the fact that Robert made sure we were happy and took the time to explain the features on the vehicle and how they operated. He made sure we would come back or call him if there were any problems or questions. Sid made sure we understood the paper work and received the warranties etc. that pertained to us. I would like to thank Gregg McGuinness and everyone at Capitol Chevrolet for a great truck buying experience. I usually hate the process of buying a new vehicle -- too much stress with looking for the right car, dealing with sales people, financing, etc. But everyone at Capitol Chevrolet surprised me. I searched online (cars.com) for several weeks before going to a dealership to test drive a truck. I went to a few places locally, but was not impressed with their selection or service (typical used car lot experience). After not finding anything locally, I decided to see what was available in other areas. We found several we liked in Austin and decided to drive up for the weekend. The first one on our list was at Capitol Chevrolet, and needless to say we did not need to go to any of the others. Gregg is probably the first cars salesman I liked dealing with. He made the process as easy and stress free as possible. In fact, he even called several days later to check on us and make sure we were happy with our purchase. I would also like to thank Charlie, the finance manager for helping us get a great financing rate and extended warranty. Thank You again. TWO CARS, ONE YEAR! Well, this is a two part review. I originally brought a BRAND NEW 2013 Camaro last year and forgot to write a review (sorry Justin). But everything i will speak on its just the same. I came in to get my oil changed on my 2013 for the 3rd time and the service was wonderful as always. The staff here is amazing and they always remember people and names. Particularly Justin Jennings. He is a awesome guy. He's not your typical "in your face, sell sell sell" type of guy. He really is personable and down to earth. He worked with to get my into my 2013 Camaro and really understood my wants and much as my NEEDS! He explained everything to me and didn't make anything too hard to understand. I really felt good in purchasing the car. I wanted to buy a more expensive car, yet unlike most salesmen, he genuinely valued me as a person and didnt want me to get into a payment that wasn't right for me. AWESOME. (fast forward to JAN 2, 2014) He had told me i need to make my payments and keep the car in good shape and i should be able to "Trade up" to a better car in a year with no problem. SURE ENOUGH, i went in to get an oil change and he was there. He asked me about the car and asked if i was ready for the new car. I was approved for my new 2014 Camaro FULL LOADED! The staff was great BOTH times i came to get my cars. I would recommend this place to anyone. Justin was a really cool guy, professional, polite and pretty funny too. After buying a used truck that we were truly unhappy with, Capital Chevrolet came to our rescue. Not only did they step up and come get the truck from us and fix it, but when told we were still not happy, took the truck back, and gave us a great trade in value for the vehicle, and a got us a great truck that is a Certified Used Vehicle. Being a first time buyer and a young one at that, i was very nervous and worried that i would either get a bad deal or pay too much or get taken advantage of, but at capitol Chevrolet, i felt the complete opposite. I felt very comfortable and very well informed, which i needed cause lord knows i was a wreck. They had wonderful customer service and it really felt like they were helping you instead of just trying to sell you a car. Ernest really helped me a lot with explaining the prices and best deals for me, and helped me find a car i love. He also made me feel reassured of what i was getting myself into in a very welcoming and friendly manner. Sid was also very friendly and informative and explained my contract very carefully so that i could fully understand and close the deal. I was very grateful of all their help. Being a first time buyer and a young one at that, i was very nervous and worried that i would either get a bad deal or pay too much or get taken advantage of, but at capitol Chevrolet, i felt very comfortable and very well informed. Ernest really helped me a lot with explaining the prices and best deals for me, and helped me find a car i love. He also made me feel reassured of what i was getting myself into in a very welcoming and friendly manner. Sid was also very friendly and informative and explained my contract very carefully so that i could fully understand and close the deal.

I recently purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe from Capitol Chevrolet. They were very courteous, professional and the most hassle free dealership that I have ever dealt with. It was very much worth the drive from San Antonio to Austin to purchase my new Tahoe. I would definitely recommend them to others when considering purchasing a car/SUV.

I was able to walk away from the dealership with a brand new car at a price I could afford. The upside was the magic Marco worked for me to get it all in my name with an apr that beat out most! I couldn't be more pleased!

I purchased a Traverse and was very pleased with Jonathan Ramsey and Capital Chevrolet. I felt that Jon helped me get the best deal on the purchase. Ernest did a excellent job! He listened and was very patient with me in making my decision. There was no high pressure sales tactics, and I felt I could walk away at any point in the deal with no hard feelings. That made for a fantastic experience and allowed for me to make sure I got the right car for me, not just the one that was available at the moment. Ernest, keep up the good work man!

Talk about the best customer service experience at a dealership! I had been looking for a car for quite a while. A relative recommended this dealership but I was hesitant to give them a try. I figured I would save myself the embarrassment and do what I can online. I was approved for a roadsloan package--up to $23,000, $350 down, and 18% interest rate, yes 18. My credit is "very poor". When I finally reached out to Capitol, I was trying to get what I can with no money down. Lazarus, internet sales, called me the next day. I was honest, I told him I want a 2013 Malibu LT1 with no money down. I told him about roadloans and he insisted he can do better. I was skeptical but said ok. He called me at the end of the day and said the bank came through, no money down, and because of the incentatives they offered the bank, an 8.9% rate. I took it! When I got there Lazarus was very professional and answered any questions I had. He took me for a test drive then got down to business. He has a great team that made this deal go smoothly. From the finance department to the service department. There was even an insurance agent from Allstate that gave me a quote. No pressure at all, just trying to get you a better deal. And he did! I will be changing my insurance because of this. The whole process was a no pressure experience. At any point if you felt like walking away or didn't feel right, you can do it. My recommendation for anyone buying a new or used car, give Capitol a try first. Be honest and tell them what you want and what you are willing to work with. I guarantee you, you won't be disappointed.

After visiting other dealerships in town, Capitol Chevrolet was my last stop. I thought for sure I was going home empty handed. Then David B. surfaced and made it happen. I purchased a 2013 Tahoe and had an "Excellent" experience. He took my trade in and I drove off in my Tahoe. Thank you David for changing my negative opinion on dealing with dealerships. David & Capitol Chevrolet are Awesome!!!

I had been looking for an SUV for some time. GT called me when a dealer demo became available. I made my way over to Capitol Chevy, where they were very friendly and give me a fair price for my trade in. The paperwork was easy and took a little over an hour to complete. All in all... It was a very good experience and I would recommend Capitol Chevrolet to someone looking for a new SUV.

I bought a 2014 Chevy Camaro 2LS 2 days back, and the car is exactly spot on how they mentioned. I am happy with the service at Capitol. They explain things properly when asked, and never try to fool you. I did not think that the buying process would take just an hour. They did it swiftly and I like their professionalism. I would give them a 4.5/5.

We purchased a used Nissan pickup for our son's first car and traded in a 11 year old Chevy truck. Capitol Chevrolet was fair with the trade in value of the truck and took our offer on the Nissan. We completed the whole deal in one afternoon.

I searched on Cars.com for a Ford Mustang for several months. The tools were great and I was able to get a great deal in TX. GT is the internet sales manager he was prompt in his response to my offer. We were able to work out a deal an I drove back to Idaho the car I have been wanting for a long time. They picked me up at the airport and the car was ready and looked great. The Mustang was everything they had advertized. The experience at the dealership was lengthy 5.5hrs but they were nice and friendly. I would recomend talking to GT if they have a car you want! He will treat you well!

With a year old baby to take care,shopping around could be impossible. But Capitol Chevrolet offers me the service that I don't need to shop around. The marketing and sales persons are very friendly and tried their best to understand my situation and satisfy my needs. This is the first dealer and the last dealer in my experience of buying our new car. But we were happy about everything including the price.

I recently purchased a used Jeep from Capitol Chevrolet. I worked with the internet sales manager Dennis to negotiate a reasonable price for the Jeep and for my trade-in. He was honest and forthcoming with the vehicle I was buying and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to work with this dealership in the future.

The Girlfriend and I went in to look at a used car to fit 2 dogs that will get to be 100lbs when they're adult size. Ernest took the time to show us around and we didn't seem to find the right SUV. He later took us to the vehicles that just came in but weren't on the lot yet. We found the right SUV and got a great deal. We'll recommend Capitol to anyone.

We found a car that was $5K less than any of our local dealers, and the internet dept set the price. If we liked the car, and the price that was set, the deal was done! No Haggling! I like buying cars this way. We were done with all the paperwork in about 3 hours! Would drive there again!

I just purchased my first new truck from Capital and couldn't have been happier. Dennis and Will were very patient with me. I was very picky with what I wanted and it took a few weeks to find exactly what I was looking for. They definitely gave me the best price and were very easy to work with. I would recomend these guys to anybody. I will definitely be purchasing my wifes next suburban from Capital when the time comes.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I brought my van to Capitol Chevrolet on 5/7/11 to have a set of keys made (they are the chip kind). I was told that work would commence on monday and it would take about an hour. Well, for the next 6 days I was fed a string of excuses and promised every day that my van would be ready "tomorrow". On 5/13/11 I called them once more and was asking about the "progress" of my vehicle.....well I was in the middle of being given another line of bull when my mother grabbed the phone and unleashed the kind of fury I should have let them have days ago......and suddenly my car was going to be ready in 20mins. Wow. Almost a week for keys....I should have turned into a raving looney days before....I might have gotten service sooner.But this is not the worst part. Three days after I get my van back it completely dies on me. It wouldn't even turn over. I keep my van in pristine running order, and it was in top form when I dropped it off. I called them to ask "whiskey, tango, foxtrot, over" and they try to pin it on me....naturally. What they had done (or didn't do) was improperly reattach the lead to my battery. It was barely hanging on and the terminal cover was bent all the way back leaving the lead exposed. So this was not a case of "it came loose", it was deliberately disconnected.....and then put back on sloppily.....this could have given out on me in the middle of traffic while I was carrying my baby, leaving me stranded. They should count their lucky stars it just left me stranded in the driveway. They claim the battery had nothing to do with their install of the new key.....even if their claim holds true; if they really did the thorough 20-something point inspection they printed out on my receipt then they must have been BLIND not to see this. I will never bring my vehicle to this dealership again. I will never purchase a vehicle from them, and family will never purchase a vehicle from these people again (they have in years past). And I will make it a point to tell anyone who will listen and rating site this story. Capitol Chevrolet- Maserati prices for piss poor workmanship. And the lousiest customer service you could imagine. "what's the least we can do for you today?"

Previously bought a new vehicle at this dealership and had a great experience. No problems. This time I came in to trade my car on a new vehicle and Capitol couldn't find a lender that would make the loan. huh? I was approved at the other two dealerships I went to and ended up making my purchase at Don Hewlett Chevrolet.

I was in the market for a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT that I had won in a contest. Josh was not responsive and did not return my phone calls. He also lied to the contest administrator saying that I had ordered my car, when I had not. After trying to work with him for over one month, I turned to another dealership (Don Hewlett Chevrolet) that gave me the best customer service and completed the entire transaction within 5 days. I wish I would have known I was able to work with other dealerships from the beginning. I will not recommend this dealership to any of my friends or family and I actually share my negative experience with them.
