Took my RAV4 in for a service. The guy that check me in was friendly, helpful, and fast. When the car was ready a few hours later, he called to let me know, and the pick up process was just as smooth, quick, and easy as the drop off. I highly recommend taking your Toyota to this location for service work. Might ask them to service my Ford too since visiting that dealer is like taking a trip to the zoo in comparison. Keep up the awesome work and customer service, Capitol Toyota!

This review is specifically for the service department. In specifics the rude and insulting employee that such a great brand calls their Fixed Operations Manager. Bill Morrow, is the most inconsiderate and disrespectful human being I have ever had the experience of talking to on the phone. We bought a $45k car less than a month ago, something on the door broke, we took it to Capitol Toyota and everything hit the fan from there. First they told me to go back to the dealership that we purchased it from even though they are ALSO TOYOTA!!! I left a message asking for a Service Manager or General Manager to return my call. Within 1/2 an hour I get a phone call from Bill who left me in tears!!! I tried to explain to him how I didn't understand how it wasn't a warranty issue when we pushed a button and the item broke. If the item was made the way it was supposed to, it would have never happened. Bill claimed it was "excessive force" when I asked him to clarify what that meant he said "well you pushed the button." I told him that was ridiculous how they take care of their customers. I told him I am pregnant and this was causing me stress to which he replied, " you are causing yourself the stress, I didn't do anything." I was appalled that he answered me this way. I tried to ask him something and he cuts me off saying, "NO! NO! NO!" I told him I would be contacting corporate to lodge a complaint and he said "If you want to call Toyota and lie that's on you" I confirmed with him that he was calling me a liar and he replied, "those are your words not mine." I am disgusted that a "manager" would talk to a customer in such a way. Capitol Toyota I am sure you can find someone way better to fill this role. The dealership I purchased the car from specifically told they don't want to help you because they don't want to take the fall for it. Bill refused to indicate the broken piece as a warranty issue because we pushed a button and it broke. If the bracket wasn't defective it wouldn't have broken in the first place. @toyota #toyota

Excellent experience! I submitted a price quote late night on 6/09 and Le contacted me next morning. When my wife and I arrived car was ready for test drive she asked for my driver license handed me the key and said "enjoy your test drive". After the test drive we agreed on the price within the next 20 mins, she was very honest about financing and price and I do appreciate that then she nicely asked us to wait for paper work and Mark came out to help us with the rest. At the end she was waiting for us and she didn't go home before we drove off, she smiled and thanked us. Thanks Le and Mark for the outstanding service and the grate experience.

I don’t understand how we can’t even have complementary coffee; they said because of COVID-19 i guess these people don’t understand guidelines from the CDC. I bought cars at both car dealerships Capitol and Milpitas; however, I think the Milpitas dealership has better customer service than Capitol. They do have complementary coffee.

I looked at the car the weekend before during the big Memorial Day Sale at another dealer, and was very close to purchasing it until a friend advised me to check out cars.com. In doing so, I was able to get a quick assessment of the exact car I wanted at the best price. I found Capitol Toyota, and my sales representative Gordon Holscher, to be the fairest, as well as exceedingly professional from the first email, to the last walk-through with my vehicle. We helped our 22 year old daughter purchase her first car from these people - a certified 2013 Corolla. In less than 2 weeks she had to have it towed back to them for repairs. Despite the assurances of how well Toyota stands behind their products, they have not stepped up to the plate to own their problem and take care of it as they should have. This has been the WORST car experience we have ever had. I wish we had insisted on a Honda. There we would have been taken care of. In addition, Toyota refused to help us either. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALER OR FROM TOYOTA AT ALL. THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS!!

My son took his 06 sienna mini van in for 100,000 mile check up.Was told that the steering ram was leaking fluid and needed to be replaced.My son told them that he would come down and look at it.He called me and we looked at the oil that they had just squirted on the steering ram.It was so blaten that it was new oil -not dirty oil- so not to make them mad I told them to just do the normal repairs and skip the steering ram.IT HAS NEVER LEAKED IN THE LAST 60000 MILES.WE will never take our car,s there again.Van now has 160000 miles and still run's great.Love Toyotas.

I left my RAV4 to have some Recalls issues completed. I must commend Gabriel Garcia in Service for his very pleasant manner and his complete professionalism. He gave me an estimate for completion of the repairs and then came in under the estimate. I took the shuttle home and they were exactly on-time picking me up again. I can't say enough about the excellent service and especialy for Gabriel Garcia's professionalism.

Great overall experience with Capitol Toyota...just went in for an oil change and learned they are open 7 days a week...not many car dealers (Service side) can say that...makes for an awesome experience when you don't have to waste an entire Saturday waiting for service on you car knowing you can come in on Sunday should they be really busy on Saturday...Exceptional customer service too...

I bought my car from Capitol Toyota in August. The experience was wonderful! The sales rep, Annette Rizzo, found me what I wanted to fit my needs. Most car salesmen will find banks then tell you what you can get Annette found banks to finance, asked me what I wanted (I did my research of course) and found the vehicle I'd asked for that also fit my financing options. It's good to have a reliable car with a company like Toyota! I love my Venza! It suits all my family's needs -- and it's quite sporty too! BTW - recently took my Venza in for an oil change - great service department as well!

It all started with a phone call to the dealer and an eager to help voice said how can I help you. after a short conversation I agreed to meet at the dealer. I was able to get there 3 hours later. when I got there I was greeted right away by Gordon Holscher he told me he had a client he was helping and if it would be okay for me to wait? So I asked if there was some one that can take us for a test drive he said NO PROBLEM .Gordon took me to Rick and we went on a test drive. the most relaxed and friendly test drive I have been on. after test drive Gordon was ready and it was time to bargain.In less then 20 minutes we had agreed to the price. I needed a specific color and options they did not have so we waited for week and a half for new lot to come. for some reason my car was not available so Gordon called me and offered a car with color we wanted with some extra option at no extra charge. My Jaw dropped I could not believe it. Finance was a breeze Mr Agarwal in finance was fantastic and pleasant we were done in no time. What a fantastic team I am truly Thankful to super excellent team not just professional but also HONEST.

Today, I had a very bad experience of Capitol Toyota. I have purchased 2 cars-Sienna, Camry from Capitol Toyota, and both times I bought Pre-paid maintenance package (55000 miles). One of that 2 cars has been showing "Maint.Reqd.' light for 2 weeks, so yesterday, I called and the woman working in capitol Toyota told me that if I leave my car before 12:00 pm I would get my car back on same day. so next day that means today, I have reached there at 10:50 am hoping to return my car back today. The guy working in servicing department told me that they were totally booked for today, and I would get my car back tomorrow. I told him what that woman told me over the phone, but the same reply I received from that moron. Later, sadly I agreed to leave my car there if they would give me a ride home. That moron refused saying they only provide a ride within 10 miles, and I live in Milpitas, which would be about 15 miles. What a jerk. I felt like I am stuck buying 2 cars with pre-paid maintenance package from them (Capitol Toyota). After I have purchased my first car in 2006, I referred Capitol Toyota to my friends, and 3 of my friends (2 from Cupertino, and 1 from Mountain View) also bought cars from them. Tomorrow I will go back there and get that moron's name. I need to service my car anyway. I already paid for that 55000 miles pre-paid maintenance when I bought my car in 2006 which has currently 41000 miles, and only the original dealer validate it so I am stuck now. But my next purchase definitely wouldn't from Capitol Toyota for sure. If Piercy Toyota and Auto-mall Toyota can return the car within 3 hours, why not Capitol Toyota? Why they wanna hold our cars over-night even if you leave the car in the morning? Why they don't wanna stick on the words of their own employee who answer over the phone? Why they are not interested giving a ride customers home?

We usually dread the buying experience involved with getting a new car. With the Costco purchasing service, we made contact with Gordon and it was almost painless. We only talked to Gordon Holscher of Direct Sales and JK Khilnani, Finance Manager. There were no "I gotta check with the xyz manager..." games. It was "Here's the price for the car you want and let me find it for you." No hard sell - even for the after-market stuff. We had done a lot of research looking for what was a reasonable price before hand and were pleased with the deal. It still took awhile to conclude everything, but the guys at Capitol Toyota followed through on everything we agreed upon.

My husband and I have been thinking about purchasing a new van for a few years now, but kept putting it off (I traditionally don't care for car shopping and leave it all up to him). However, with the help of our son, we found this amazing individual who was both knowledgeable and honest about the vehicles he was selling and I found it a true pleasure to make THIS purchase, almost solely on my own for the very first time! This is the second, of many I predict, Toyota's I have purchased from Capitol Toyota. My salesguy, Stephan, knew exactly what I wanted and we made a quick deal that exceeded my expectations. The finance department took over the balance of the deal and Joseph was professional and got me out of there quickly. I have to say that the entire experience was pleasurable and I am already looking forward to the next visit when my wife would like to buy a truck. I will be going back to Capitol Toyota for that transaction. I also do all my service at the dealership and the experience has been the same. They are professional and fair. Do yourself a favor...check out Capitol Toyota when you are in the market.

I want to take this opportunity and share my automobile buying experience with capitol Toyota, though I don't have much to rave about the dealership I am writing this to commend the customer service from the fleet manager I dealt with, Mr. Gordon R. Holscher. I initially called Costco Auto buyers program and they referred to this dealership as I preferred shop to the closest to my residence and was followed up promptly by the fleet manager above, I am impressed with the professional yet personal approach in accessing my automobile need. In the mean time I also did my research a few other domains and I would recommend cars.com in particular, just because of the inventory and the general unbiased information shared for a potential buyer, I also contacted them for a few questions and I had any opportunity to speak with Ms. Hamilton and she was very informative and indeed made my buying experience a memorable one keep that going. I hope the above experience can only get better as I plan on visiting them as time passes may be for another car??

I had a very pleasant experience at this dealership when I bought my new Prius plug-in. Kevin was very courteous and responsive to all the questions I had regarding pricing, discounts, features, color choice and many more. He seemed genuinely interested in giving the best deal which was better than the online quote that I had gotten. All in all I would definitely recommend Capital Toyota and especially Kevin.

Out of approximately 10 car purchases in my life, my experience with Joseph S. and the team was fantastic. He spent many hours working with me to find what I ultimately felt comfortable with. He was not pushy....didn't sell me what I didn't need....I experienced none of what has kept me away from dealerships. Overall, when it came to financing, of course they will start high but we landed at what I felt was extremely fair and the process in getting to that point was near painless. When the time comes, I will come straight back to this dealership for another purchase. I haven't worked with their service department yet.....hopefully they are as good as the sales/financing teams.

I had a good sales experience at Capitol Toyota. I say "sales" and not "buying" experience, as I never purchased a vehicle, but came very close to doing so. I will definitely be back to purchase a vehicle, as soon as I get my finances in order.

Over the years we bought 3 vehicles from Capital Toyota, a used Camry, a new Tacoma and a new Corolla. I hold back one star in my rating because of a sour experience with the extended Toyota maintenance contract we bought. We thought the service was backed by Toyota nationwide, good at any dealer. Not so. Some Toyota dealers do not participate in this Toyota Corporate program. A job assignment landed us in such a town. We received 2 oil changes out of this $1,000 policy (which is a book of coupons for maintenance work needed at 5K mile intervals, up to 40K. "Toyota Corporation" and logo are boldly printed on each coupon.) Ouch! Our complaints to Toyota was frustrating, and met with a shrug. After 2 years, we returned to San Jose. Capital Toyota was sympathetic - (it said it didn't know the program was dealer optional.) However we feel the dealer who pushed and sold us the policy, who reaped a commission, could have gone to bat for us with Toyota Corp. more forcefully or offered some nominal discount for similar maintenance work. I accept responsibility for not reading and dissecting the fine print of the policy. But my wife, who did all the calling and spent long periods on-hold, is less forgiving, on both the brand and the dealer. This incident has marred an otherwise nearly perfect purchase and ownership experience on 3 vehicles.
