we found a car when we initially went there and the car was had a check engine light on and we asked for them to fix it and they said they were gonna call us back when it was fixed we made them an offer on and then found out that the car is not worth any more than $3500. we were still waiting on the offer off from the dealership and they decided to post it online without notifying us for $5500 .so needless to say that I will never be doing business with this facility ever

I bought my first car from Cavalier Mazda couple days ago. The car buying experience was great. When my family and I walked in for the first time, we were greeted with warm welcome. Everyone I came in contact with were very nice, professional and I did not feel any pressure at all. I knew what I wanted, I told them and they did not try to talk me into buying something else. Michael Barrett and Mark Self helped me get through the negotiation easily. Both of them were very friendly and knowledgeable in their job expertise. Mark Baillio, the financial manager, helped me get through the legal paperwork. He explained every aspect of the paperwork in detail. When I did not understand something, he would break it down so even a elementary kids could understand. My car was ready when I picked it up. Overall, I highly recommend everyone to stop by and give them a chance to earn your business.

Our salesperson Priscilla Hughes suggested that my wife and I drive a Mazda 3 along with the other vehicles we were looking at. That ended up being a great recommendation as my wife absolutely loved the feel of the car on the road. This is our first vehicle that we have purchased since our children have grown and moved out so it's nice to go back to driving "fun" cars. We've gotten many compliments on the car. All considered, an enjoyable buying experience. Actually saved us a little money by showing us an add-on ( the front and rear bumper appliques ) which did not look good at all. Love our new car but was totaled screwed on the amount they gave us on our trade in. They offered us 2500 on a car that is worth at the lowest 4800 as a trade in, then came up to 3000 and acted like they were doing us a favor. I'm still in disbelief that I allowed them to take advantage of me.

Cavalier was low pressure I informed them what I wanted and the amount I wanted to pay they met and over exceeded my expectations. I knew what I wanted and they provided everything that I requested with no additional cost. They didn't pressure me into add on-s. it was a very easy no problem experience. Yes I would purchase another car from them. They are 300 miles from the dealership here in MD, well worth the trip / time. I just wish that the local Mazda dealer was as courteous, and knowledgeable here in Southern MD. Show room clean and well lit as is the shop and prep area. ( which is more than can be said for the local dealership!)I have used them for maintenance and warranty before and they have always been courteous.

I first went to Cavalier Mazda several years ago just to test drive a Mazda 3. A year later I was ready to buy so I went to them, retest drove it and bought it. I was in and out in about 2.5 hours which is good time compared to my other experiences. From day one, everyone we have dealt with has been the friendliest. Since then I have purchased 3 more vehicles 1 of which was my daughters first car. I have purchased 2 new and 2 used vehicles from them and each time I couldn't have been happier with the service and the deal I got. I have purchased other vehicles from roughly 7 other dealerships thru out my life and this is the best place with the best people I have ever dealt with. I will continue to give them repeat business as long as they continue to employ people like Wendy, Leslie, Phil and Mark just to mention a few of the great people there. Not only are the sales people friendly, their service department and parts departments are top notch also. Always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

We had such a good experience with our purchase of a new Mazda CX-9 in May of 2014, we went back in September, 2015 for a used 2015 Ford F-250. John Langowski was our salesperson both times and is phenomenal. I would highly recommend him!. We were not hounded or pressured by anyone at the dealership and, I can honestly say, the whole team is beyond compare. The buying experience from beginning to end was effortless and stress-free. In addition, we have been dealing with the service department for over a year and they are top notch. Scott and his team go well beyond what is expected.

I was not looking forward to going to a dealership. Aamar Lewis put me right at ease. He was patient, a good listener, and never pushy. There were a few models on the lot that I liked but weren't quite what I wanted. I told Aamar exactly what I was looking for. He took my number and called me a few days later with the perfect car! What a great salesman!! The dealership then worked to get me financing at the monthly payment I wanted. Afterwards, Mark Baillio helped me understand the different warranties available and worked with me to get an affordable 3 year warranty on my previously owned vehicle. His sense of humor and expertise made this part of my experience a breeze. I loved working with this dealership! What a great team!

My salespeople were Amar Lewis and Beau Daniels. Amar was my agent and I think Beau Daniels is his supervisor. Both were very courteous and professional. Amar is a young man, about 23, but don't let that fool you. He exhibited professionalism well beyond his years. Great experience and a I think a fair deal for the 2014 Focus that I bought. In fact, the car I purchased had to be brought in from another dealer. Cavalier Mazda had one on their lot I wanted to look at and the one I ended up buying was on another Cavalier lot. I asked, and Beau had it brought over for me to look at and compare side-by-side with the other. The whole deal took about two hours - quick and painless. No pressure, no nonsense with trying to talk me into a new one - they let the car sell itself. There was also no nonsense of trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't want. However, Beau did suggest gap insurance. I have purchased new cars before and I had gap insurance - and I'm glad I did. One car that I purchased years ago, was stolen. With the gap insurance, it didn't cost me a nickel out of pocket. I strongly recommend gap insurance.

We went to Cavalier Mazda for a service issue with our our 2014 CX-5 Sport MT which we had bought elsewhere in 2013. The car was about to run out of warranty because of the miles we had accumulated. While waiting my wife and I looked at an almost identical 2016 CX-5 Sport MT which had some new features we liked. We didn't want to spend the money to replace our still fairly new CX-5. though. However, John Langowski, the sales representative, worked us out a deal we "could not refuse". He and the other people we had contact with at Cavalier Mazda made the buying process a very pleasant one.

Just bought two cars from this dealership! I was shocked at how friendly and how willing they were to work with. Usually whenever people go to the dealership it's like getting ready to play football against your rival team. This time, it was kind of like I was I was playing video games with my best bud and he ended up letting me have his games afterwards. It was a pleasant experience buying cars from this dealership. They were also very quick. When I say very I don't mean like 10 minutes, but only a couple of hours. If I had more money I'd buy a Miata from here but you get what I mean! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who wants to steer clear from Hondas to get away from the norm and the hype and to other Mazda enthusiasts like myself!

I was not looking forward to the process of buying a new car. I think it can be too time consuming and I wonder where I'm being taking advantage of. My fears were completely put to rest when I was dealing with Phil at Cavalier Mazda. I found the exact car online and came from out of town to pick it up. They had the car and paperwork ready and I was out of the dealership in 20 minutes. The customer service was fantastic and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. HIGHLY recommend them!

After narrowing our search down to two car models, the Altima, and Fusion with the Altima being the first choice until my son looked at the Ford Fusion on the Cavalier Mazda lot he was sold and so was I. However, the price was right on it was still a little over the pre-approved loan my son had. That's were Phil showed us that he wanted to sale this car. He made some great recommendations and worked with us and Navy Federal to get the deal done.

My first interaction with Cavalier Mazda was communicating with Randy Padilla via e-mail which was a positive and educational experience about my interest in the CX-5 Grand Touring model. Even though I live in Virginia Beach, based on Cavalier's Great Customer Service reputation, I wanted to shop there instead of a Virginia Beach Mazda Dealership close to my home. I have taught Customer Service classes as part of my former profession before retiring so my expectations are high about being treated well. I made an appointment to drive the CX-5 and was greeted by Phil Wilson which was a great match for my "perfectionist personality". I also met Beau Daniels and had a positive feeling about his communication style with me. After driving the CX-5, I went to another Dealership in Chesapeake to drive a Honda CRV so I could make a comparison between the two SUV's. My Customer Service experience there was fine with the Sales person but not positive with the Sales Manager, and the CRV a disappointment compared to the CX-5. I came home and called Phil Wilson and Beau Daniels and we completed negotiating my purchase of the CX-5. This was a Thursday, my CX-5 was prepared for me to pick up Saturday without me having to drive back to Chesapeake to sign any forms or give them a check before I picked up the car on Saturday. I met with Mark Baillio to go over the different warranty options which he explained with understandable details. Then before I left with the CX-5, Phil took extra time to go over the details of the car, even programmed my cell phone contact list into Bluetooth. Two days later, I called Beau and Phil with some additional questions and they answered my questions politely. So a Great Experience! Kay Meyer

My only complaint was that we had to spend over 2 and 1/2 hours to complete purchase, even though we had an appointment, I had pre applied for credit, and we had already settled on the car and the price. Otherwise everyone was wonderful, the prise was excellent, and I love my new car!

I took my CX9 in to have the brakes looked at. I had a tire repaired at a tire store close to my home and they told me my front brakes were worn out. The mechanic at Cavalier said they were only about half worn and would be good for at least another year. They could have easily sold me a brake job but did'nt. I bought my CX9 from them 3 years ago and have been servicing it here ever since. Lisa , Scott and John the mechanic are always professional , knowledgable and pleasant to work with. Thanks Cavalier.

The team of men and women that work at Cavalier Mazda are extremely proficient, knowledgable, and accommodating. I just purchased a Mazda 5 from this dealership (sales associate Phil Wilson) a few months back and this April I went back to purchase another used vehicle for my husband. The team at Cavalier Mazda made me at ease during a pivotal moment for my family and I. I didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed at any moment of my decision and I was more than happy with both of my vehicles final pricing. Phil Wilson walked my family around and explained everything about the vehicles to terms we would understand and I felt he helped us find the right car for our family. Beau assisted us with credit application and bank lending without any problem. He was more than professional and helpful with answering all of my questions (and I had a ton) all while making pop-corn for my three year old daughter. Finally, Mark in financing and warranty department gave us red carpet treatment while allowing us to better understand how each warranty we chose could help us in being safe and protected. I would highly recommend Cavalier Mazda to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle. They are truly the best! Thanks guys!

Our Mazda purchase began with a trip to Lego Land in Florida. We rented a CX-9 during our family vacation and fell in love with the handling, the capabilities and the interior features. Fast forward two years later when we are finally ready to trade up our minivan. Hoping to take advantage of both year-end sales prices and a group auto buying experience, we headed into Cavalier Mazda on December 20th. Working with their online sales coordinator Beau Daniels and our sales consultant, Fred Sanders, my husband and son complete a test drive and we leave for a sister dealership to give another brand cross over vehicle a fair shake. Unfortunately, over lunch, my new job offer ran into a speed bump and our whole car buying experience had to be put on hold. We called Fred and said "Don't call us, we'll call you". So, come early January when we are a GO again, I went straight to Fred and Cavalier specifically because he did not harass me and specifically because they found THE car we wanted (we need to be able to tow). So, it turns out that Cavalier offered me better pricing than that group buying service, better financing through MAZDA, and....I was in and out in nothing flat! No heavy sales pitches, no hassles, no games, nothing but friendly service with a 'can-do' attitude and a smile. I am now the proud owner of a 2014 Mazda Grand Touring CX-9 and the guys at Cavalier helped me surprise my husband by getting me behind the steering wheel and through the paperwork in less than an afternoon. After my '02 Cavalier was totaled I was in need of a new car, immeadiately. I went to a few other delearships beforehand and no one was as friendly and honest as both Randy and Mark. Even though my budget was small, I was able to leave with an amazing car. Randy was very personable throughout the experience and Mark was able to get me the best deal on my 2008 Dodge Avenger. I am so excited to have a newer, more modern vehicle. I would definitely recommend this delearship to any of my friends or family.

Fred was knowledgeable and easy-going and I never felt pressure to buy anything, though I was happy to find something I liked at a good price, especially at such a friendly dealership. After visiting other less-pleasant dealers, Fred and Cavalier were a nice change of pace. I recommend this place highly.

I've always had wonderful service at Cavalier Mazda in Chesapeake. The employees are always friendly and helpful. My wait for parts or service is never long. I always get an estimate and know the cost before the work is started and they have always been very accurate in estimating the time to complete the job. I was surprised to see a negative review for this place. I have always had such a decent experience at Cavalier Mazda, the one in Chesapeake (if there's another one). When I bought my car I was introduced to the service manager Scott and he introduced me to his manager, Lisa. This is my first Mazda and I bought it last year around this time. I put a lot of miles on my car commuting five days a week which is why I am religious about the oil changes and follow my service manual for all the scheduled maintenance. Letting them keep up with my car gives me peace of mind and the people at Cavalier Mazda make me so comfortable I am confident that they are taking good care of us both. Thanks to all of you at Cavalier Mazda for making things so easy and being so nice!

I have purchased 2 cars from Priority Mazda (now cavalier mazda). I have always had a great experience with the sales staff, never too pushy and very knowledgeable. The service department on the other hand is TERRIBLE. We have had no less than 3 bad experiences at their Service department, including them not having the tires for our car after we brought it in and they confirmed they had them in stock and available. Our more recent experience started with a 60k maintenance on our Mazda3. After we paid a retarded amount of money for basically nothing being done. Once we received the car back, immediately we noticed the AC compressor on the car sounded Much louder, 200 miles later our check engine light came on. When we returned to the dealership to report these issues, they told us none of them could have possibly be caused by them performing that maintenance on my car, which leads me to believe either they did Nothing to the car at all, or they are liars and think all of their customers are stupid. Being a good sport, i decided to let them do a diagnostic which cost me $100 for them to literally JUST plug the computer in to read the code after the receptionist at the service department assured me that they will Not only use the computer, but take it apart to diagnose it.. Upon investigation of the car after we got it back, there was No prints anywhere in the engine bay (dust still all over the plastic engine cover) which makes it obvious that they didnt even open the hood. The service department advised that it would be over $300 for a Thermostat replacement when the part is only $40 and i can clearly see that the 4 bolts holding it together are Not hard to get to. I will NOT buy another car from this dealership because their service department is full of a-holes that have no idea what they are doing or have any decency when it comes to pricing. Great job losing a Loyal customer.

I wrote this letter to the manager at Cavalier Mazda last year and it's been almost a year and I still haven't heard from anyone.Dear Manager,We visited your dealership on 05/30/2011 with the purpose of leasing the 2011 CX-9 and walked out empty-handed. To put it mildly, I have never been this much insulted in my life after what I experienced at the hands of your new sales manager. We came prepared to lease the vehicle and your staff knew about this. However, like any other customer, we expressed our concern when the sales manager presented us with information that was not shared with us beforehand, namely her inability to pass on a $1000 dealer rebate because we chose to lease (to her surprise) and not purchase the vehicle. She claimed that she had shared this information with us and even after repeatedly telling her that we had no prior knowledge of it, she had no qualms in expressing her disgust and mocked us for not remembering the quote that you gave us. I think she was not aware of the fact that we had already expressed our strong interest in leasing the vehicle and your online consultant has the proof in her email box. Had this piece of information been made available to her and had our repeated requests to share any such pertinent information with us beforehand been entertained, the embarrassment that ensued could have been avoided. But this was not meant to end here. We were very polite in informing the salesman well in advance that my wife and I will be talking in our native language to discuss certain details to which he gave his consent with no reservations whatsoever. The sales manager, however, took offense to it because apparently she was not informed. This is not our problem; the two colleagues had enough time to share this information with each other which they obviously did not. Besides, no car dealer or any other person in any business in this country or any other country, in my experience, has ever been upset because of this. So I ask you with all due respect- what is her problem? Yes, she apologized but it didnt ring true. We did not come in to offend anybody and unlike your sales manager who was unnecessarily coming on aggressive, I would like to tell you that we were only looking out for our interest by asking questions and cross-checking numbers. Unlike people who work at a car dealership, we dont deal with cars everyday and I dont think we deserve to be kicked out for raising some red flags. And just so that you know my wife and I are trained well enough in providing friendly and courteous services to our clients and patients and if a new patient doesnt speak English, my wife as a physician, doesnt shut that patients file and ask him to leave like your sales manager asked us to do, no matter how offending the patient is. I understand running a car dealership is a sales centric business and not customer centric and no one made it clearer than your salesman. Instead of mending the situation he chose to remain a mute witness. When we were about to leave he sauntered to a secluded corner of the showroom and ignored us as if he never saw us before, never welcomed us, never shook our hands, never joked with us, never took us for a test drive, and never escorted us from the parking lot to his desk. I guess his hospitality was just a pretense- available as long as we were ready to part with our money. I dont know what your industry standard is when it comes to training your employees but where we come from, this is completely unacceptable. We dont expect any reparations from your dealership and we shall never ever come back to your dealership but as a potential customer it is my strong recommendation that you need to train and educate your employees in etiquettes and on how to treat customers with respect irrespective of their race and language preferences.Thanks! Note to the reader: Two weeks later we ended up buying a 2011 Mazda CX- 9 from a dealer in Maryland. Our experience with those guys was so good that I just couldnt help shaking everybodys hands repeatedly while thanking them in my head for restoring our faith in people who are in the business of selling cars.

Saturn Owners - the Saturn team is here! Matt & Lisa have been taking excellent care of my Saturns since 1998 (260,000 miles on my SL1 original engine and transmission and she still runs like new!). The Cavalier Mazda location is convenient and has great waiting areas (along with WIFI and computer access). The sales team is wonderful and friendly but NOT pushy (they won't break your arm to buy a new car)! The Business Manager, Mark, is very knowledgable and eager to please the customers. I highly recommend Cavalier Mazda service location for ALL SATURN OWNERS!

Absolutely the best new car buying experience in my life! I purchased the new Mazda 2 and it's awesome! So far I'm averaging 39 MPG's and that's a combo of city/highway with the AC on. My sales person Bob was super and without a doubt the sales manager Wendy was the nicest, most professional person I have EVER delt with at a car dealership. The store manager Mark was amazing as well. If you are in the market for a new car, go check out Cavalier Mazda and be sure to ask for Bob; Wendy and Mark, they will take pristine care of you!

Awesome people! Stellar service! I own a Saturn Sky. When the Saturn dealership closed, I really wasn't concerned about where I would take my car to be serviced. . .I followed the Saturn team to their new home at Cavalier Mazda in Chesapeake. Since 2007, Scott, Lisa, Gary and their service team have always treated me like royalty. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Not only is the service team the best. . .but the family who owns Cavalier Mazda respects and takes care of their employees. That statement in itself speaks volumes.

I dropped my 2002 Miata off with this dealership on November 8, 2010 for an issue with the motor stalling. I was called on November 10 and told that it was an issue with the PCM which would be replaced under parts warranty since it was just replaced in December of 2009. They told me that the part would not be in until Saturday, November 13. They called me on Monday November 15 stating that they needed all of my keys to program the new part. On Wednesday November 17 I received another call saying that the new part had been installed and that it didn't fix my issue. They said they would need more time with the car to figure out what it was. I called them the following afternoon to see if they had come to a conclusion and was told they had not. They called a day later (Friday, November 19) saying that they did not have time to look at the car and needed more time. I hadn't heard back from them by today, Wednesday November 24 so I called them. The service writer admitted to me that they hadn't looked at the car since the 17th (an entire week), that they were "too busy with other customers and only had 4 technicians". I was highly upset because I am a paying customer and I was being put on the back burner for an entire week. They had my car for over two weeks today and it still wasn't fixed and I have no idea what is wrong with my car. I picked up my car from them and I plan on taking it to a different dealership to fix. I was very disappointed with the way they pushed me off to the side, because my car was not an 'easy fix.' I do not plan to ever do business with them again.
