The biggest thing that impressed me about Kyle and the whole team at Dahl Automotive was the no pressure to buy atmosphere. The cars that I was interested in were carefully described and gone over with me and then I drove the cars. I never felt pressured to make a quick decision and was even encouraged to talk the vehicle of my choice over with others whose opinion mattered to me. The service was wonderful and very professional. My first encounter with Dahl was an excellent one and I am very pleased with my Mazda 3.

Our experience at Dahl was wonderful from the initial phone call to the final handshake goodbye. Alex was kind, welcoming and very knowledgable. He made my mom and I feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. We didn't feel pressured or as if we were just another sale. Before we left, he thoroughly went through the quick manual with us and made sure we didn't have any questions. I appreciated that since I was not familiar with this Mazda. I would definitely recommend working with Alex to anyone I know looking for a new vehicle! Jim was also very kind and helpful during the paperwork and explained everything very thoroughly. He made sure to clear up anything if we had a question. Thank you again, I love my new Mazda!

When I walked into Dahls,I had little expectations of actually buying a car, I thought I would present my situation to a consultant and see what they say.Well I am amazed at the results of my visit! My consultant,Gene Arentz,was warm and friendly and was genuinely interested in helping me. I wound up able to buy a beautiful,almost new car ,for a very good price at not bad interest! I never dreamt I could do this,and all the staff there were very friendly.I strongly reccomend to anyone,even if you are not quite sure if your ready for a new or used car, to check out Dahls and see Greg Arentz, it is totally worth it!!!

My husband and I purchased a 2009 Impreza from Dahl in 2012. Kyle was our Sales Consultant at that time. I wasn't thrilled with the purchase, but knew that it was the best decision at the time. Last Friday I took the Impreza in for 105,000 mile servicing, starting with a transmission flush. I decided to head over to the sales office while I was waiting and was pleased to see Kyle as I walked in the door! I immediately began telling him I thought I was ready for a new vehicle and after lengthy conversation, which included Kyle asking me what I was looking for, what kind of driving I did, gas mileage, etc. I found myself test driving a 2014 Crosstrek. Then I found my self shaking Kyle's hand with the "you just bought a new car" smile. I am elated with my new car and still can't believe it is mine! Thank you Kyle and Dahl!!

We have been purchasing vehicles from Dahl for more than 20 years and began working with Jeff Krause in 1998. We live about 30 minutes out of town and it is difficult for my husband to leave the house due to illness. Every time we needed a vehicle Jeff has brought one to our house that he thought would best meet our needs and we would purchase it. We recently purchased a new Subaru because Jeff knew we wanted something safe with great visibility, safety and fuel economy. I did the paperwork at the dealership but asked Jeff if he would deliver the vehicle to us and visit my husband. Later that day he came to our house, went over all the features of the Subaru and then sat and visited with my husband. I am so grateful for Jeff and how he goes out of his way to help.

We stopped in and Geno arranged for us to test drive as many makes and models as we wanted at our convenience. It was a busy day but we felt that we received great service and answer to all of our questions. This is our first Subaru (Forester) and are looking forward to many miles with it. Gene and Jim were so great! Gene made me feel welcome and he wanted the best for me. The car was in AMAZING condition. Dahl went through the car with a fine tooth comb- the car cosmetically and structurally sound. Jim made the signing process as relaxed as possible. I would highly recommend not only Dahl but also Gene and Jim.

I have tried and tried and tried to give the "Quick Lane" chances. They are horrible, lack quality customer service, and dont bother acknowledging when they've made a mistake. Save the headache, go somewhere else for service on your vehicle.

I recently purchased a new vehicle from Dahl Hyundai Mazda Subaru. I dealt with several people at the dealership and I was very impressed with the overall buying experience. In the past buying a car was very stressful and not something I looked forward to mainly in part of the experiences I had with other dealerships. Well this was not the case here, the team I worked with made it fun and they were extremely knowledgeable in every phase of the process. Ken Hauser was my sales rep. He had worked with me over the last few months on identifying the needs of my growing family. He would reach out and keep me informed on different models I was interested in. He definitely went the extra mile and I would highly recommend working with him, it was a pleasure. Thanks again to the Dahl team, they will not disappoint and are as professional as they come!

Everyone here was so helpful with my recent car purchase. I am a young girl car shopping with a budget and they were very respectful and honest about my choices. They told me what would be best for me and what isn't necessary for me. I absolutely love my new car. I came in with a rather impossible wishlist and they met almost everything on the list! They were honest with me about everything and I knew exactly what I was getting. I will never buy a car from any other dealership! Thank you guys for making this much less stressful!

I have never had such a great car-buying experience! Alex Absalon was a very professional and caring salesperson. He made sure my family and I were getting the right vehicle for our needs, kept us comfortable while waiting at the dealership, and made sure everything was just right before leaving with our new purchase. He has also followed up afterward to make sure everying is going well. Financing was a breeze with Troy, and the service department has been courteous and friendly. I was very impressed with Dahl in general - what a great company! My husband joked that he wanted to go hang out there more often, with all the amenities they offer their customers!

It all started when my poor Subaru Forester made some awful noises. At over 200,000 miles, I suppose it was about time for some major repair. I was afraid to drive it home so I pulled into Dahl Service instead. Matt E. was my knight in shining armor. Although it was close to closing time, Matt and several mechanics did a thorough inspection and found in fact my car was not safe to drive. Uh oh! As I was trying to think of who could drive me home 30 miles away, Matt had a 2015 Outback with less than 100 miles on it pull up to be my carriage to the ball--for free. If not for my budget, that car would have been mine. It was so shiny and new! What could have been a very stressful, horrible evening, though, turned out to be very easy process--and I made it safely home. Thanks Matt and friends for taking care of a damsel in distress! I now had a decision to make. Fix my poor Ruby or get something different. Being the indecisive person that I am, I took a good 5 days. Matt and the service folk got me an estimate right away so I knew what I was dealing with and then patiently waited. In swooped Dan Knuth to help me the rest of the way. Dan helped me analyze both situations. It was clearly not about what was best for Dahl--it was always about what was best for me. I chose to buy. But then I was faced with the question of what! 20,000 questions later and several test drives, Dahl started to feel like home (did I mention I am indecisive). I finally drove off with the best vehicle and best deal of the century! A practically perfect 2012 Mazda 5. Before Dan, I didn't even know this car existed. He listened to me and my needs, and came up with this little gem. He knew his stuff and was completely patient with my crazy questions. I even asked if he thought I could fit a stroller in the back, and the next time I stopped in, Dan had a stroller lined up to test it out!Talk about great service. Thanks guys! I now completely understand Mazda's commercials. I love my commute now that it has a little zoom, zoom! And my bank account isn't dried up, either.

What can say other than I live in Woodstock, IL and drove to La Crosse, WI to buy a car. Dahl was one of the first calls I made when starting my search for a WRX. Kyle answered the phone and spent about 45 minutes with me talking about everything from the car I was interested in to snowmobiling and family life. I could tell right away that he was a stand up guy. I pursued another car at a local dealership and after them selling it out from under me the morning that I was driving to pick it up, I did what I should in the first place and put a deposit on the WRX Kyle was selling. Kyle lined everything up for me to pick the car up on the way back from a snowmobile trip in Eagle River, WI. Kyle came in on his day off to deliver the car to me. Everything was ready for me to be in and out of the dealer in less than an hour. He took his time and went through all the features of the car. He answered all of my questions and even helped me set up my Blue Tooth so I could make phone calls on the way home. He was VERY knowledgeable about the car and never rushed me during the delivery. Dahl and Kyle care about customer service and exceeded any and all expectations that I had. I would gladly and will drive the 3 hours to buy another car from Kyle. Kyle is knowledgeable and willing to listen. He has sold us 2 Subaru vehicles. We appreciate his willingness to take the time to explain available options and has ensured that the vehicle we have purchased operates perfectly. We have not ever purchased a vehicle twice from the same dealer or salesperson in the past. However, that will likely change for future purchases. We like Dahl, we really like Kyle. Jim Abeyta was also a very polite and enjoyable finance person to work with. He made the "payment process" almost pain free.

Whoever they are, they are obviously satisfied with the every-day-ho-hum-go-in-wait-forever-sign-the-papers-take-the-keys dealerships. Dahl is anything but THAT. Anthony, in a nutshell is a SUPERB salesman. In fact, I don't even want to call him a salesman. That would be insulting. ;) He returned my phone calls promptly, had all the pertinent answers, went so far out of the way to help me with a very "unique" situation, I would have needed a map or GPS to find him. He did not "cringe" or judge at the unique challenge of providing my hard-times-for-a-long-time-low-income situation with a great vehicle for me. And, to top off the Dahl sundae, he wasn't alone in that endeavor. I also had in my arsenal (yes, that's how Dahl makes their guests feel) my finance Archangels Jim Abeyta and also Jeremy Gullickson. Nobody loses with this team. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go take out a full page thank you ad in every major newspaper from New Jersey to California. P.S. OH! I almost forgot.....I LOVE MY BUICK RENDEZVOUS FROM DAHL FORD! ! ! ! ! Leather? Really? ********blushing********

I have bought vehicles from Gene Arentz before and just purchased a new Hyundai. It is always a great experience when working with Gene from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. He is one to keep you informed on what is going on. He gets right in the vehicle with you and showed me the different features and helped set things up for me. Jim Abeyta was very helpful with financing. Explained everything from start to finish. I would definitely recommend everyone stop and see Gene and Jim if your looking for a new or used vehicle. My wife and I were very pleased with our purchase of a used Subaru Outback from Dahl Auto. I had researched them online and then kept my eye on the the Dahl lot and finally saw the car that best fit our needs (used, but low mileage). Jeff Krause was the sales rep who approached us on the lot as we were looking at the car and we feel fortunate to have worked with him. Jeff is very knowledgable and appropriately laid-back person. He knew the car very well, pointed out some features of the vehicle, and then gave us the keys to take it for a test drive. This was a Friday evening and we had a family event to get to, so we didn't have time to start working on the purchase of the car. There was no pressure from Jeff at all to get the deal done and I let him know we'd think about it over night and then be in touch on Saturday. That night I researched the price of the car and found it to be very appropriately priced, so there would be no need for an extended back and forth process to settle on a price. Jeff and I took care of the price over the phone and I know we got a fair deal for this popular vehicle make and year. We came back to the dealership on Saturday afternoon and Jeff had the car ready to go for us. There were awkward moments waiting for "management approval" on the price as I've dealt with at other dealerships. Jeff explained the different warranty options and there was no pressure to add these additional coverages. He explained the services and was very clear about their prices. We took care of financing with Jim Abeyta and it was also a very positive experience. Jim is a very energetic and positive person and he took time to explain all the steps necessary to complete the financing and registration. Again, no pressure to add additional services and there were no surprises when we got to the final price of the purchase. We did our financing through Subaru and were very happy with the terms. As part of our purchase agreement, I wanted the all-weather floor mats and Jeff was able to get them for me within just a few days. He followed through exactly on what we agreed on. Our purchase of the Outback was a very positive experience thanks to Jeff and Jim. I felt like we got exactly what we wanted and weren't "sold" a thing. When we are in the market to buy another car, I'd definitely go back to Jeff and the Dahl crew.

I live in Minneapolis and I was looking for a 2013 low mileage Toyota Matrix. I found it a Dahl Automotive in Winona Mn. When I went to purchase that car I found it had been transferred to Dahl Automotive in LaCrosse, Wi. I starting emailing and got in touch with Anthony. He was always available, answered my questions, and was very helpful along the way. He made this whole experience go smoothly. My car had never been owned by anyone but Dahl, so I could not license it in Minnesota until I get a form which takes a while to get. Anthony sent me a new temporary plate for my car so I could continue driving until the form comes. I got only 1 key for my car. Anthony contacted Dahl Automotive in Winona and then sent the key to me.. Because there were 2 States involved with this car, it got a little complicated sometimes...but Anthony totally came through for me at every turn... Thank you very much, Anthony!

We were on a trip from Florida to La Crosse for our son's wedding. South of Madison we were sideswiped by a semi. We limped to La Crosse & Brian at Dahl's greeted us & said he could help. The following day he called me to give me an estimate. We drove into his shop Tuesday at closing time with a Ford Escape that had some bad mechanical damage to the right side. He ordered parts on Wed, fixed it on Thurs & it was delivered back to us Fri noon safe to drive back to FL on Sunday after the wedding. Brian & his team at Dahl's turned a disaster into the absolute best customer services I have ever had. Anyone that is considering service with the sale should go to Dahl's. On the way back to FL my cell phone rang - it was Brian asking how the car was running. He not only did what he said he would do, but more. Thank you!!

We had a great experience w/Dahl Auto in purchasing our Hyundai Sonata. Kensey found the car we wanted & kept us informed via texts & emails. We are from Tomah & were slightly hesitant to purchase a car from an out-of-town dealer, but she made the purchase relatively seamless. We also had a positive experience with Troy Roberts who assisted us with securing an excellent interest rate on our auto loan. Our overall experience was excellent with Dahl Automotive.

I stumbled across a beautiful Black Ford Edge in Onalaska, and within hours Gene was able to get the vehicle to La Crosse for me to test drive. After the test drive I was pretty sure I wanted the vehicle but needed time to think. Gene was very patient & helpful with answering all of my questions. After driving the vehicle again I was sold... but had a few additional concerns. Gene took care of them all for me and even started referring to the car as Black Beauty. The entire process was very smooth.

Gene made the purchase of my Mazda CX9 the easiest car purchase I have ever had. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, as was the entire staff I worked with. As an added bonus, the dealer owner, Harry Dahl, talked with me. I have bought many vehicles from Gene in the past and my parents have also bought a vehicle from him. He's the best in the business, and I will continue to refer customers to him and Dahl Automotive.

Kensey Shaffer made buying my 6th Subaru (but first since being back in NE Iowa) a real pleasure! She was kind, informative, honest, and not at all pushy. When I go back to have "Snowflake" serviced she always takes the time to say hi and have a short conversation. In fact she is in process of finding me a second Subaru right now! I have also sent several good friends her way and she gave them excellent sevice (and a good deal) and sent me a thank you gift. So glad Tyler sent me her way!! I have traded vehicles with Gino and know many many others who have done the same. There is a reason why Gino sells more cars alone than entire dealerships in the area! He is one of the few remaining truly professional salesmen and really cares about his customers best interests before,during and after the sale. Because Gino takes so much time making sure he finds the right vehicle for his customers I have found myself able to keep my vehicles longer and still stay very satisfied. The awesome service department at Dahl also is responsible for keeping my car on the road longer and my satisfaction level high. My wife and I were shopping for a Prius C three in a specific color and option package. Metro dealers did not have what we wanted in stock and were vague on when they could get one. After a dealer told us it could be as long as 6 months someone recommended we try Dahl Toyota in Winona. Our salesman Alex did a fantastic job in getting us exactly what we wanted and we highly recommend him and Dahl Automotive who just celebrated its 100-year anniversary!

I am delighted with my new Subaru Outback - modestly named "Rocky" - inspired by Mr. Stalone. She (in this case) charges right up my steep snow-covered driveway without hesitation to deliver my family safe and securely into "her" resting place in the garage. Thank you Subaru for giving me back my winter driving confidence. She was purchased on New Year's Eve/Eve. I negotiated the price ahead of time which was a very smooth process. When I arrived, they had set the car aside for me. I inspected in and then did the test drive and then I agred to buy it. My only hang up was the car had not been washed prior to me getting there. Once we signed the papers I had to wait 45 minutes for them to clean and gas the car. I was coming from out of town so I was hoping to not have to wait. In fairness they do have people who come to kick the tires and then don't buy and they were really busy as it was a Saturday. Overall a 4 out of 5.

Very friendly staff. The car was cleaned with a strong perfume. 2 days later I knew why...SMOKER CAR. I am going on 2 months now and cannot get this horrid smoke out of my car. It makes my eyes water. I am very disappointed that this was not disclosed and masked by perfume. I would not have bought this car if I knew it was a smokers car. I will not buy a car from this dealership again.

I found an ad for just the used vehicle I was looking for. I emailed and was contacted almost immediately from Dahl even though they had already sold the vehicle in question. They were very prompt, pleasant and helpful. Not pushy. They were a long distance from me but I felt if they had the vehicle and the price was right I would have driven the distance. They made follow-up contact as well but I had found another used vehicle in the meantime. I was impressed with their customer service/sales staff.

My former Legacy proved good for me for 14 years. I was happy with it and expect this new one to be tustworthy and servicable. I expect it to last me the rest of my driving lifetime since I am already 80. Also needed it now so I can get used to all the mechanics of operating with added computer rigamaroo. I had an excellent understanding salesperson and she did her best to get the best for me. The dealership and owners I met there were professional and friendly and I expect to get great service from the service department.
