Why is this rating request active?? Clearly DiFilippos does not give a rats butt about customer service. We had the worst experience ever!!!! Spent 7 hours at the lot with a 4 month old baby. We were offered 1 busted car, check engine light came on after 5 hours of driving, check transmission light came on after 8 hours of driving and on Day 2 it died..in the middle of Baltimore pike. That was only the beginning of the nightmare. Took 6 phonecalls to get them to tow it and more than 30 days of the runaround. No one taking our calls..not sure what's wrong with it..call back in a week...LOL...we wasted $750 deposit..$250 car insurance and $70 stop payment check for the check for $900 to Commonwealth of Pa for taxes tags and registration. I finally had to notify BBB.and got our $750. back. Just close down..you are terrible people. You were hoping I would just go away or.not know how to exercise our rights!!! You wanted to just keep/steal our money!!! People go there because they are in a tough spot and you take full advantage of them!!! Thiefs!!!!!!

I bought my SUV in march, 2016 from this dealership. I have had nothing but problems. My alternator went not long after purchase, we were told it would be covered since it was within 90 days, then every time I was making my payment they said I had almost a 300 dollar bill I had to make payments on. We were also prMoises a detail when we purchased the car, and that has never happened. The best is when I paid the morning after my bill was due, and they had already shut my car off. The account manager who is rude said I was a day late and a dollar short. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy a vehicle here.

,, when I visited your office I was told one price but the website says another. I felt like I was being takes for a ride. The automobile I never bought a car I decided to buy a credit card a secured card form a Bank instead. And invested the rest. But I did find out I had a bad or wrong cod on my liscenes which made I look like I did not have driving privlages. That was taken car of almost imedeatly. That's for the notice. But I am still driving my 2013 huyndai Accent . Thanks for asking.

I do not have this car anymore, however, I'm getting constantly hounded for payment, and now I've been notified that I've purchased a new car and would I like to leave a review? The car was impounded because they don't tell you when you buy it that you are responsible for the taxes and tag fees out of your own pocket. I lost my job and was unable to pay the full $800 so I was stopped by the police and the car was taken. I was told the car would be resold and I would be responsible for whatever was left, but so far nothing has happened but harassment for payments. They would not make arrangements for me to keep it and make payments since I'm working again, and I'm not making payments on a car I can no longer drive, my credit has already been messed up, so it doesn't matter anymore. I was sold the car with no spare tire, which I found out after the first of many flats for no reason, and at first they sold me the wrong car and title and I was driving the wrong car and had it insured and I had go back to have it straightened out. It also had no air compressor when I bought it, unbeknownst to me and we baked all weekend when I first bought it. Horrible place, stay away.

I made the worse mistake doing business with this car dealership ! I had a ford explorer, and less than 2 months it broke down. I was paying insurance through them but I had to pay for a rental on my own and they would only pay for it on the days that they actually worked on my car.. So for a week my suv sat there shop because by the way they didn't tell or could not tell me what was wrong with it. So after 3 weeks I gave them the ultimatum either fix it or give me another suv !! They refused ... So I had to come up with a new down payment for another suv and the placed a repo on my credit report! !!!! I know you need a car ,suv etc.... but not with this dealership.

U sold me a lemon that keep breaking down n keep over charging me to fix on top of paying my car note eventually I got tired n turned that junk in didn't even have it for 6 months on top if that your customer service n repair guys are rude n not about customer satisfaction only about ripping ppl off n it's sad it's bad enough your cars are over priced the least they can do is run properly I wouldn't recommend u to my dog n I don't have a dog honestly giving u one star is to much glad I went somewhere else I am happy with my purchase n they are the best maybe y'all can get some pointers from them on real customer service

Its not the fault of the sales people they need there jobs . I blame the owners of the worst buy here pay here place on earth . Three day after purchase the check engine light comes on so we call the piece of crap service center and they tryed to make us pay for repairs . There is no return policy so you are stuck with what they give you . Please please dont fo there they pray on the weak . The best place to go if you have bad credit is drive here .com they will not rob you my name is keith fenwick and im seeing my lawyer today somebody has to do it they are scam artist and have to be stopped . We had to pay over one thousand dollars for registration and tag I can bye a used car with that . Please do not deal with them .

They are all horrible my vehicle hasn't stopped breaking down. And they refuse to fix it. I'm taking them to court. They shouldn't be in business. Every member of that organization is ignorant and unprofessional they are extortionists who take advantage of people with bad credit I can't even get them to call me back. I'm sure they will when the attorney generals office and my laser contacts them. I will have my day in court. So please please please don't go there. There are way better options if you have bad credit. Help me in getting them shut down so no one wise has to go through this

I went to this "dealership" about eight months ago when my car broke down and got a Suzuki reno which had the check engine light come on as soon as I drove it off the lot. Fast forward months of continuous breakdowns and severe malfunctions and no car to drive (all the while making my payments) I was finally able to (after getting my dad to call, threatening legal action) only switch into something new. I was told that either I'd have to wait and continue to drive the reno or sign into the chevy cobalt I had badgered them time and again to lend me (have proof they didn't even want to get me a loaner, and they bragged they didn't even want to get me into a new car, no apologies were ever made) so I felt that I had no choice to take the chevy cobalt with 130k miles on it as they said I would be unable to get out of my loanFast forward I have had the car only since April, I have had to replace the whole break system, get a new radiator, get a new cam shaft, get a new throttle body, wheel bearings, and two mechanics just told me that the PCU (car computer is corroded) I need a new water pump and a new fuel pump and that its not worth the fix. I have paid this place almost 5k and still owe 9k before I can get out of a chevy cobalt that will not run by the time I will have paid off the loan.I have another dealer willing to buy me out of the loan if they will come down, they refused to even call to see what could be worked out. I took it down there bc it wouldn't start and they got it to work (their GPS tracking unit had shut it down) and they deny that these other problems exis (even though the mechanics I went to are willing to talk to them). Bottom line, I went to get my car after they said it was fixed yesterday and the problem was still there, they do not care about you as soon as u have completed sale. when I was there yesterday I shared my experience with some potential buyers and after hearing they decided not to buy. I will now be making my payments in person so that I can continue to share my experience with other potential customers. I will also see if I can contact any newsstations who would like to know about bad businesses in their area and see with a lawyer what my next step is. I am probably trapped in this horrendous deal, but they have ruined my life and don't care at all. so I will make it my mission to make sure everyone I come into contact with knows about their lack of care and selling of lemons.

FULL ENGINE REPLACEMENT AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING FOR ME!!! A few months ago, the vehicle felt "off", as if it was misfiring. The mechanic at DeFilippo confirmed that it was indeed misfiring, so he changed the spark plugs and wiring, suggesting that they were all original. I asked him why they weren't changed, since I will be paying $14,000 for a $4500 vehicle, and he wasn't sure. Subsequently, the vehicle fired accurately on all cylinders, but the slight tapping noise that accompanied the idle engine did not subside.A few weeks ago, I went to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change. Without mentioning the situation, the mechanic expressed his concern regarding the tapping noise that was coming from my engine. I had immediately scheduled an appointment with a mechanic - one who did not work for the same dealership from which I purchased the vehicle.Yesterday, the unbiased mechanic recommended a full engine replacement. I have paperwork listing that it is a lifter problem within the engine. I called to schedule an appointment with DeFilippo Brothers and left several messages. While I am still under warranty until November, I question their ethics, and time is of the essence. Moreover, I am still owed my car rental reimbursement from the last repair.I plan on driving the POS to the location myself today.Note: At the time of purchase, the dealership presented me with a Car-fax that scored the vehicle with extremely high marks. It was never in an accident, and the odometer lined up. It was part of a rental fleet and had only one owner subsequently.***UPDATE***FULL ENGINE REPLACEMENT AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING FOR ME!!! Just wanted to add, once you're a customer they never answer the phone. You have to go there in person.FULL ENGINE REPLACEMENT AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING FOR ME!!! They looked at the vehicle and stated that since there was no mechanical breakdown, there was nothing they could do. The tapping has gotten worse and the warranty is expiring. The woman, forgot her name, stated that my oil filter hasn't been changed in over a year. She had the mechanic write some ridiculous, fictitious date on it to "prove" it to me. I then asked her if the oil gets changed before the vehicle is purchased. After she said yes, I told her that I purchased the vehicle 6 months after the date written on the filter with sharpie. Fresh sharpie, no grease on the filter. Ridiculous. Oh, and I have been waiting for my $150 rental reimbursement for the first repair for 10 months. I chalked that up as a loss. When the car finally breaks down, I will be leaving it in their parking lot and getting an attorney. In addition, I plan to pollute the internet with the vehicle's VIN number so no one else get's stuck with this lemon. FULL ENGINE REPLACEMENT AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING FOR ME!!!

This place is horrible! They have given me problems from day one. First and foremost they sold me a car 3x the price that Kelly blue book said it was worth. This car had 130,000 miles when I bought it so it was no where near brand new yet they are charging me $2,000 less than the absolute brand new price. They are threatening to sue me. I am trying to get out my contract and they aren't even helping me in no way. They aren't even given me any options. My options are get sued or pay. They've given me an ultimatum. I understand I am in a contract but the service that they have given from day one has been horrible. They don't help, they are way overpriced and the ACT like they have some sort of pity but the woman laughed at me over the phone. My situation isn't funny and quite frankly I do not appreciate being laughed at during a tough time. Oh wait there's more, they orally state promises that are NOT kept. They as a whole are horrible people, and yes I say "they" because I have consulted with multiple people and they are ALL the same! This is truly a horrible place, I do NOT recommend!

This the second car I purchased from them. The first time had the car for the whole duration of the loan. Car always ran good had good service should say ok service. Then when mistake. Saw suv liked it bought it. Then when problems start. Car makes a bad sound brought there service manager worried about talking to girl on phone instead of helping people. They are cocky and bottom line treat people like xxxx. Had problems with there automatic withdraw from my bank . Tried call them they blame another co. For that mistake. Another week goes by ,sat comes and I'm at work realize my car shut off. And payment was never made from my bank debit card. Get my car towed from aaa 3-330 pm . Call office Noone answers phone. So I did a online payment same day it's due them it's still shut off. Sente-mail to Dave finance manager. He just said made after hours. But all a rat race they don't stand behind there cars and overall esperience with this place is bad. Still have problem with car and never resolved. Hopefully people read this stay away. If other people have problem like to here see if some of this stuff is legal or not. Mike. Unhappy owner

I bought a car from Defillipo 6 months ago. Problems started at the dealership. I researched and was preapproved for a 2006 Ford Fusion, but when I arrived at the dealership the car was not available (it never existed, bait and switch). I ended up buying an older car with 130,000 miles because it was all I was approved for even though I was "preapproved" for a much newer, nicer and reliable car. I was told I would be given a full tank of gas and a new battery because my car wouldn't start. Upon driving away I realized my tank was on empty and upon inspection of my battery I realized it was over five years old. Within a month I started having real problems. I've paid to have my alternator, starter, and battery replaced because these items apparently are not covered under my extended warranty which includes all engine and transmission issues - even though I pay $100 dollars extra per month for the warranty. Also, a Kelley Blue Book search of my car shows that they charged me 600% of my car's worth. Shame on me for not researching but 600%!?!?!? The car starts maybe 1 in 10 times if I'm lucky even though I've replaced three components dealing with starting the car out of pocket. The car clearly has electrical issues that they were aware of, hence the promise of a new battery. I once called for service and they told me they could send me a tow truck, but since the issue was electrical it could not be covered under warranty and I would have to pay for the tow and the service. I explained that the salesman "ETHAN" promised me a full tank of gas and a new battery and they told me "we can not honor promises made by salesman and if you had read your contract you would know that".... my first experience financing a car has been absolutely awful. I feel they took advantage of me knowing that this was my first time financing a car. I also think they are very dishonest and sneaky. If you are a person in a bad financial situation, as I was when I purchased the car, DO NOT CONSIDER DEFILLIPO BROS. They will price gouge you and take advantage of your poor situation. They will promise you free service and make you feel alright about spending way too much on a vehicle, but when it comes time to make good on the promise they are total jerks. Awful, awful loud rude selfish Delco idiots working here. They were yelling to each other while I was trying to sign my paperwork. I once called to ask if I could make a payment two days late and was told "we can shut off and come take your car, if you can't pay you shouldn't have signed a contract". I paid on time, but luckily I have spoken to a lawyer who found a clause in my contract saying my car specifically only has a GPS tracker and not an immobilizer so if they immobilize my car I can get out of my contract without owing money or being liable for my terms of contract. Not everyone will be so lucky with this terrible company. STAY AWAY! (PS) I once made a payment in person to a woman who was not there when I purchased. She warned me that she would never buy a vehicle from Defillipo and that I should pay my car off ASAP to avoid their ridiculous financing rates. This was the only good exoerience I had at this company and everyone there should learn about customer service from that particular nice lady.

Please stay away at all cost i am a current customer who thought i had no options because of my credit. In the first 6 months i had to be towed 4 times had to replace starter, alternator, battery, the vehicle windows stopped working a week after purchase. Then i called connicelli of Conshohocken and to my surprise they put me in brand new car with same payment not a vehicle over 100,000 miles.

Bought our car here over a year ago. The car has been great. Last month we hit a pot hole and damaged our wheel. We called them and they got us in that day. They fixed our car and we didn't go broke doing it. Finance and service were great. Thanks Dave for all your help.

So let most American some have bad credit and looked around for a place that can help you.I thought this was the place and no it's not.I went in thinking hey this place isn't going give me a car that's bad.....I was wrong again in fact my driver side unlock button doesn't work l. I received and engine check light that shut down my entire car on broad street.they fixed it but a few weeks later which is now I have engine check light with a bonus of traction control. Man talk about having 3 street licks from this place and now I'm stuck paying for a bad car all because I thought they was trust worthy this is xxxxxxxx.oh and customer service is another thing. Do yourself a favor don't come here I heard dani auto sales is better

So I bought my car last week after my old car crapped out on me. I knew going in (because of my lousy credit rating) that I was going to overpay a bit and that the interest rate would be high, but for people with bad credit scores (whatever the reason) and verifiable income this should be an option. They showed me a few cars before I settled on the one I wanted (like any used car dealership some cars are better than others) and weren't pushy or overbearing about it. Heather was great, super professional and understanding of my situation. I haven't had to use the warranty and the car doesn't need an oil change yet, but it should be noted that you get free oil changes (every 3 months/3000 miles) for the life of the loan (assuming you stay current). Like buying any used car, do your research, take it for a test drive and if you aren't sure it is the car for you, don't sign any paperwork.

This is a scam. They target people with bad credit purposely. Read your contract!!! You sign away all your rights in that arbitration agreement. Read the warranty it's VERY LIMITED! So when something happens to the vehicle your stuck paying a lot of money out of pocket.

My daughter was looking for a first car with myself as a co signer the first car we tried to take a test drive in the transmission slipped and and the dealer almost crashed into one of his own cars yes we were not out of the lot yet! We were told the could have this fixed in 4 days if we were interested in the car! OK we looked at another car and it was filthy they do not clean the cars properly before they sell them. OK they said we have the perfect car 350 a month with 1500 down a reliable Honda civic well we opened the driver door and all the cloth was hanging off the response was well you can get a glue for 7 dollars they sell it at Walmart OMG I can't believe they said that we headed the other side of town to gary barbara my daughter purchased a beautiful hyundai tiburon I mean beautiful and reliable for 160 a month and it is fully covered! Hose guys art de filippo are a real joke! Stay away!

like other reviewers here, I have had credit issues. I went to DeFilippo's knowing I would be paying more than I probably should if I was able get a car outright or good financing. But they worked with me to make sure I got into a vehicle. I took a train there, got all of my paperwork out only to relize I had forgotten my driver's license at home. DeAndre (I hope I spelled his name right) went out of his way to try and work something out because I had my expired license with me along with my change of address, which I did that morning. It turned out that they were close to their closing time and I thought I was going to be out of luck, but NO...DeAndre drove me to my house so I could get my license and drive away with the car I wanted!!!! He did not have to do that but he did. THANK YOU DEANDRE!!!! You and Dave really made this experience a good one!

I bought my car from Defillipo Brothers a little over a year ago. I paid more then I should have for it but that's what you get when you trash your credit. My other car broke down and I needed a car right then. Defillipo had me in the car I wanted in less then an hour. I haven't had a single issue with the car I have other then the normal stuff. I would definitely recommend getting a vehicle from there if you have less then perfect credit. It also helps you get your credit back into good standings

BEWARE Run For The Hills... NEVER Buy A Car From Them!Did You Know That DeFilippo Bros Motor Cars are con artist? My granddaughter purchased a car from them last year. Within a matter of weeks she started having problems with the car not realizing that she was provided with a veryLIMITED WARRANTY.She called the dealership several times and even drove the car there in an attempt to get an appointment for service. She was totally ignored and put-offuntil such time that the limited warranty expired, then they told her she wouldhave to pay to have the car serviced after months of calling. Now imagine this it was the first time my granddaughter ever purchased a car and it appears that they saw her coming because DeFilippo Bros. Motor Cars, sold her a car that was not Road Worthy.She called me, and once she explained the situation I attempted to rectify the problem by calling the dealership and speaking with rude call takers. I then contacted Matt and John DeFilippo by Certified Mail in October 2014,hopingfor a positive response in an effort to resolve this matter.All my granddaughter wanted was her monies back once that was accomplishedShe would do a voluntary repo and that would have been the end of that! But that not what Matt and John DE Filippo had in mind.Therefore, on Monday morning I am going to call every Consumer Fraud Television and Radio stations that I can find and ask if they would like to cover this SCAM because I know for a fact that there are MASSIVE customers that has been Rip-Off by DeFilippo Bros. Motor Cars, written a bad review and simply moved on. They have two locations that I am aware of in our area 602 Lincoln Avenue and another location in Coatesville, PA.We didnt stop there now its on to the Courthouse, details in my next Reviewpost coming soon. Quite honestly, if you are shopping here, there is most likely nowhere else in which you can purchase a vehicle - I understood that going in. My largest gripe is the selection of vehicles that you can choose from. Their online database of automobiles is VERY misleading; the online inventory shows approximately 100 vehicles, while they have about 4 in your qualified price range to choose from - and I make a modest 45,000 per year. I honestly doubt that most people whom walk in to the establishment make more than $10-$15 an hour. Personally, I chose the subjective "best of the bunch" as I am not a fan of the Ford Taurus Wagon. Regarding the Chevy Tracker that I purchased, the hose to the radiator was leaking; however, they assured me that I can have that fixed when the shop opens (I just purchased the vehicle yesterday). Markedly, this should not be a big deal.Long and the short, 4 hours after leaving the dealership, my check engine light comes on. Subsequent to taking it to Autozone for a diagnostic check, the report read that a cylinder was misfiring. I will be calling the company tomorrow to schedule an appointment. I am not happy that I will need to take time off of work for this. Personally, I hope that they change all plugs and wiring to start. I paid $9000 for a 2002 - it's the least that they can do. No doubt that things happen, so it will be the way a resolution is handled as to how I write a follow up review. Moreover, I noticed that the breaks are going - that is my fault as I did not realize it until halfway through my hour trip home. Oh well...I was desperate as most people in the same situation are, so of course they will not be giving you a "certified" vehicle in which a complete mechanical overhaul was one; honestly, they should as the vehicles are extremely overpriced (without calculating the interest rate, vehicles are approximately 40% over kbb "good" pricing - it's understood, but ensure that everything has been repaired to new).My customer service rep., I believe his name was William, was awesome. Nice, genuine guy. I hope that the company does the right thing when I call in tomorrow and that is changing the plugs, the wiring, and the leaking hose. If I find out that the check engine light was merely reset, I plan on utilizing all of my connections and resources to have my issues resolved.

Be warned stay away at all cost. Trans went 5 days in they oil pressure switch they left me stranded in cold with my daughter for 3 hours and then Engine blew after 3 months they refused to help fix and then i told them to keep it and i got a repo on my credit report.

I worked hard to graduate H.S. So my father and grandmother wanted to buy me a car as a gift so at the time I liked fero,s I don't know why but I did and it wasn't Expensive so I told my dad and he gave me the $1800.00 and off I went to the fine establishment. When I got there they had the car all washed up ready to go so I asked to test drive it and they said don't go to far " Cause we don't have a tag to put on it there all out" so I started it and was walking around this fine vehicle and the guy kept shuting it off so I didn't think anything of it so we went into the office did the paper work and off I went made it to nifty fiftys and The vehicle died I called them and they said there was nothing they could do so I had my mechanic come and look at the car there were no belts on the vehicle . And the clutch was very burnt out. They are xxxx do not deal with them

I am looking for other customers with similar experiences.for possible legal action ....First i bought a car from here on june 26th....an hour after i left the lot the check engine light came on and alarm was ringing, i brought the car back the next day, they had to replace the valve cover seals, and said here was a vacuum problem, the supposedely fixed the problem, i got the car home and the next morning the check engine light came on,i brought thr car back after the weekend and they scheduled me an appt for the 11th, of july, i brought the car in and the mechanic said all he could do right now is reset the warning light, and reschedule an appt , which is now the 20th, this car had an new emmision sticker put on the car, which if there is a vacuum problem,could cause the car to fail inspection in de., i am asking the general manager to pleasew find a solution to resolve this issue, preferably putting me in a car that works properly, not sell a car that u say is certified when obviously it is not, its issues were not addressed or disclosed prior to sale, then to add insult to injury, it takes a month for you shop to be able to even decide to address the issue, i do not wish to cause problems, but i would hope that this issue is adressed by the dealer or its representative in a fair manner, thank you, rich

I brought my car February 2014 and had to have it towed to repair shop 2 times. Car is highly milage to many problems. This is six months into car had to buy a new battery, ball joint, stablizer link,tire end rods,wheel alignment, now i have to get the lower control arms replace, back brakes,already replace front brakes,and engine has a sevral blow by.which means one thing. More money. Do not by a car before having check out.

I am not a person who complains about general things that go wrong with companies. Everywhere you go from Walmart to working with financial institutions, have problems and areas that need to be impoved. But if you are in the market for a used car, DO NOT GO HERE! Yes the cars are overpriced (before the financing), The sales staff are very friendly, but things do change once you sign the papers. These people are the type of people who smile and tell you what you want to here, then never follow through. Once the sale is complete, you are left to deal with very very RUDE staff when it comes to payments, title work, refunds, complaints, basically anything outside of buying the car. I too had immediate problems with car less than 10 hours after I purchased it. I was stranded at the DMV in the inspection line because my car overheated. I called them, and of course there phone system was down for quite a long time (as usual), and I finally had to contact the Coatesville office so they would be able to assist me. Finally after waiting for 4 hours, someone finally came and got me at the DMV and the car, where I was told they were going to be kind and lend me a vehicle even though it wasn't in my contract (like they were doing me a favor-but better than nothing!) The car they gave me to use was on their lot for sale and had the check engine light on as soon as you turned on the car (smh). After they "fixed" my car (the problem was a bad water pump-which I kept telling them-but all they did was put antifreeze in it) less than 24 hours later I was stuck in Aberdeen, Md bc the started was bad on the car and wouldn't start. Problems just kept happening, and this was ALWAYS followed with horrible and rude Customer Service. Finally came and paid off the car two months early, where I was told that my receipt was good enough proof of pay-off and my title would be received in 10 days. They never said ty or congratulations, never offered to schedule me an appointment to have the payment mechanism taken out ( I had to interrupt the title clerk and Michelle who were to busy talking about their lunch even though we had already asked for them to schedule me an appt to get one). Came back up ten days later to have it removed just to find out they never did any paperwork to get my title yet. And of course they were rude! Dave spoke with me about the situation, and of course you got the usual xxxxxxxx with a smile and was sent off on my merry way. So...only purchase a car here if you want cars that have MAJOR problems, RUDE customer service, automated random call about missed payments that don't apply to you at all-this always happened and they never can tell you why, no follow through, delayed paperwork, over charging of fees and HUGE headaches! I am really surprised they are still in business. If you really research, they don't have good ratings at all.

Basically to make it short. bought this car they made me feel welcome and i thought everything was nice and awsome. the second i sign that contract is when everything went downhill. Had issues with the car the second i drove it off the lot. Over heating issues, belt screeching, ac issues, window wouldnt work, catalytic converter issues. and the list goes on. I went through so much just to get most of these things fixed with horrible!!! attitude!!! I kept mentioning about my overheating issues it kept being overlooked and said its fine... and the belt issue they kept saying they fixed but it still screeches and its getting worse.....since i didnt want to deal with them anymore because i was tired of the broken promises and the attitude i would get on a daily basis...they told me i couldnt come over there to fix things for free even though ive been saying these issues existed right when i drove the car off the lot!!!!!! insane im telling you. so anyways ive been spending hundreds of dollars now getting the overheating problem fixed found out that the breaks are super low something with my rotors and sold me a car with barely passing wheels ahahah thats slick.... but anyways the good year repair man told me where you buy this car? i said de fillipo and before i could even say anything else the man stopped me and said say no more.....ive gotten so many complaints from customers buying cars from them its insane...... their oil change is free and id rather pay for my oil change than go through them at all!!!! ive spent more on this car than i ever did with my previous car....

I gave the rating that I did because...to be honest, DeFilippo Brothers Motor Cars has been the only place that has given me the possibility of rebuilding my credit. Their sales force was extremely infomative and friendly and welcoming... I have had my car now for about a month and havent experience any problems whatsoever. I have had a bit of a problem with two weeks pay and they worked with me. To me that all means alot..because having just returned from Afghanistan....I was in need of help....and DeFilippo Brothers helped and continue to help me. Thank You so much for trusting in me....I will not let you down.

I have called many many times trying to get ahold of people and getting hung up through the automated voice service without talking to a single person. Then when I would keep trying to call, I'd get transferred after being talked to very rudely by serveral people and then hung up on. It took so many phone calls for one question to be answered. The customer service is very angering. I should not have to seem like a problem after giving my business to this dealership. My car has only been purchased a little bit ago and the check engine light has come on four times. They 'fixed' the first time after making me drive an hour to Philly. The small problems still have not been fixed after I brought it to their attention. I had to help them fix a part that they previously 'fixed' because they didn't know which way a part went on. I am not going to be telling anyone to come there if we are getting lemons as cars and bad service to fix the lemons.

I needed a car had bad credit, they said they would take care of me. Went found a car, I didn't know that it was 3, 000 over the blue book value and within the first day it overheated. They had a tow truck pick it up and I didn't have a car for a whole weekend until Monday, and of course not given anything else to drive to work temporarily. Engine light came on after three days of it being fixed, and power locks and lights didn't even work in the car.. talk about being sold a lemon. Then when the payment was due day of they called me 20 times, not even within 24hrs they shut my car off even though I had called and stated the payment would be made next day due to my work hours. I was told as long as I had made a call that they wouldn't but they did shut it off while I was at work. Also the references they call within less than 24hrs of non payment harassing them as well. Worst experience buy my first car.

The cars are way too overpriced, they take advantage of people who really needs a vehicle. With bad credit and are not to experienced at purchasing one and sell them a crappy car for 3 times its worth, that's how they got me. I learned my lesson and I'm stuck paying a load of money for a no t so great car but I will definetly advise anyone to not go there. A 2005 KIA Rio is not worth 15,0000 even brand new and its a basic edition. I have learned.

I am only writing this to forewarn ANYONE looking to buy a car from this place.... here is my "school of hard knocks" review for you to read and decipher in case you decide to experience the DeFilippo experience..... so you might be poor and in a crappy situation.. and have not so great credit...still please do not allow yourself to be swindled by thinking this is your only alternative..... I am and will never foot in this place again ( or places like it too) for a multitude of reasons ... and make note it does not benefit me to comment or not comment at this juncture as we paid for our car in full and always timely payments... and believe me it really killed us to pay $95 a week for 2.5 (130 payments, do the math and add the 1k down payment...!) years on a car worth about 3.5k and 100k miles......so here it goes... First off ...the 5 star ratings on here are CANNED-- do not be fooled...the company is on here like flies on rice to reply to the negative( and descriptive and truthful) comments...... second... beware... 2x book value+ 23+ percent interest... pay 15k for a 3k car basically by the time you are done and interestingly enough, it one of the only places that carfax isn't offered....purchases fleets of auction cars and junk parts installed in car that if go the next day after you bought car is a "TS" situation...weekly payments nightmare ( paid but car can still be shut off!) are a whole other thread... ...extended warranty covers almost nil and I could go on-- steer clear of this dealer...avoid them at all costs...the one thing they will do is pretty much give credit to anyone but that will not affect your credit score even if your payments were pristine. BTW...Premier and DeFilippo are owned by same person, perhaps not so obviously but not too hard to figure out. In house credit line and as I mentioned, not one of the 3 credit reports mention it after 2 years.

I gave this rating cause of my expeirience was horrible. I was sold a lemon. I havent even had the car 2 months and its been in the shop 3 times and the dealership dont care as long as they made there quotta. My little girls are afraid to ride in the van cause they are afraid something will happen cause it keeps breaking down. I told the dealer something was wrong and he kept saying it was a great car it was awesome. Plus when he told us how much we needed down we got it showed up and he only had one car to show us. And he knew we really needed a car. I've already reported the dealership to the bbb for lemon I was sold. I've missed work cause it keeps breaking down. It over heated and needed work and david gave us the numbers to call and said he would take care of it then when it was done he denied it and we had to pay. Cause at that point we didnt even have the car a month. then our starter went cost us even more money the locks dont work and the windows are broken. Thanks alot for the crap you over charged me for over a thousand dollars more. I would not recommended you to any body, and you better start really checking out ur cars before you sell them to people before you go out of bussiness. I really needed the help and dont have a lot of money at all but as long as you get ur sale you dont care how unsafe a car is that you sell to someone especially when they have small children. And now I'm stuck with this van cause I dont have the money to get something else. I'm sure the bbb will be contacting you shortly for the sale of my van. And about all the money ive had to put in it that i dont have and I've only had it 3 months. Way to go.

WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR IN SEPTEMBER EVERTHING WAS FINE. THEN JUST 3 WEEKS AGO ON A SUNDAY AT 5:30 AM I WENT TO START MY CAR BECAUSE I HAD WORK AT 6 AM AND THE CAR WOULDNT START. IT WAS SHUT OFF. I COULDNT GET A HOLD OF ANYONE. FINALLY MONDAY AT 2PM AFTER SEVERAL CALLS I GOT THEM TO TURN IT BACK ON. I HAD MADE MY PAYMENT, ACTUALLY MY $ COMES OUT DIRECTLY FROM MY ACCOUNT EVERY FRIDAY. THEY TOLD ME THE ISSUSE WAS THAT MY ACCOUNT WASNT RENEWED? BASICALLY SOMEONE DIDNT PUT A CODE IN AFTER MY PAYMENT. SO I TRIED CALLING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE BECAUSE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! THE SUNDAY BEFORE XMAS AND I LOST TIME AND A HALF. I COULDVE LOST MY JOB! I CALLED ATLEAST 15 TIMES AND LEFT MESSAGES FOR DAVE GILLS AND ANOTHER GUY. STILL TO THIS DAY I HAVE NOT RECIEVED A CALL BACK. THATS WHAT PISSES ME OFF! I UNDERSTAND STUFF HAPPENS BUT I CANT EVEN GET A PHONE CALL BACK? My experience from this place was bad from the service department.....i dont understand how they didn't inspect the car before they sold it to me.... first off there was no seat belt, seat belt was cut off ....til this day i'm still waiting for a seat belt 2nd my antifreeze was leaking out of no where of the first wk i bought the car...3 the mechanic who work on my car missed diagnose my car when the whole time it need a gasket and couples of times it was over heating.... 3 o2 sensor damage, CD player also damaged and found a CD inside the player when i bought the car. Isn't there job to check the whole car before they sell it....seems like to me it wasn't inspected really well. So basicly i will never go down for any auto service from them because it seems like they are not doing there job to well.

This dealership has been my worst nightmare come true I bought a 04 neon from them with a 2 year extended warranty. There price was 10,000 for a used neon with 106,000 miles on it. The price is more then double of kelly blue book value not to mention intrest rate. Within the first week of having the vehicle it had to be serviced for a check engine light. The employees were extremely rude giving the customer attitude and had a non caring attitude. Within my 30 days of having the vehicle it brokedown on me due to my transmission leaking fluid. The car went to the service center i was then told that my lines were bad. The next day they called me and told me my car was fixed and to come pick it up so i did. ON MY WAY HOME my car broke down agian same problem!!!! So once agian i get my car towed up there. They call me the next day and tell me my car is fixed and i asked them what they did to fix it. They told me that it was my transmission lines agian and i asked how is that possible. They tell me that the mechanic said he installed the first time a line that was TOO SHORT and said that there was still a HOLE in my line!!! My question is why wasnt my car fixed right the first time and to top it off they told me they had used parts laying around and thats what they put on my car! At this point im very fustrated so they tell me to come get the car. This time the car makes it to my residence i park it where i make sure there is no type of fluid on the road underneath my parked car. 2 hours later i check my car and find that theres spots of fresh transmission fluid on the ground directly underneath the trasmission pan. This is strike 3. They still have not yet fixed my car a month later and im having the same consecutive problem. They allow there mechanics to do mickey mouse work on there customers vehicles. THE WORST CAR DEALERSHIP EVER!!!!!!!

My husband and I have unfortunately fell on hard times which has damaged our credit so we turned to Defilippo Bros for help and we were able to finance our cars with them. We just purchased our fifth car with them. We haven't had any issues with service repair; although we would love if they incorporate rental cars if the cars should need repair. Having children makes it difficult to depend on just one car while one is being fixed. Staff is very helpful and friendly and having the option to purchase an extended warranty for a very low price is great!!My husband and I recommend Defilippo Bros to anyone who has fallen on hard times and needs financing for a car.

My initial purchase was pleasant enough, although I found out later that the salesmen screwed up my paperwork so I had to resign it all over again. They were a little flexible on the price, but not so much. I had a $100 coupon that they said would be honored but when I looked over the paperwork afterward it wasn't. I purchased a 2006 HHR that was missing several parts of the car including the back flooring in the cargo area. When I asked about it they said they'd take care of it before the sale, but afterward said they couldn't help me. It is a $200 part... I still drive the car around with a piece of plywood as the floor of my $10k car.They have a ignition interrupter in the car... if you don't pay, the car won't start. It took them *3* months to get it to register my payments with me calling them to ask them why it wasn't working even though I'd paid on time.They have an auto-dialer that calls to remind people about their payments that called me for two months before I finally got them to stop calling me about my payments that were already made.All in all, yes, they financed me. I could have gotten financed elsewhere. They didn't have the car I went in for, I found one I liked and they still managed to not fulfill my expectations or anywhere near that. The *only* bright spot in the dealership is Bill Rowe who would help me when I could him on the phone, everyone else would tell me there was nothing they could do. I routinely got answers like, "I don't know" and "Well it registered the payment now, right? I don't know if it is fixed" and "We call everyone, we can't take one person off the list".

Yes it's my misfortune for having a mishap in life that cause my credit score to decrease rapidly. Still, Defilippo Brothers have been in business for 20+ years because they prey on those who are backed against a rock & hard place that NEED a vehicle and credit is shot to hell. So for that reason they will be in business for many more years because there will always be individuals to take advantage of.After I purchased my vehicle it was then when their highly unprofessional staff showed their disgusting ways. i've always paid timely so I had no issues there and thankfully i bought a japanese engineered vehicle because i knew it had high mileage and wasn't the best looking vehicle i wanted to get something that i could get around in and not live at the mechanics. However the tracking gadget which was outdated about 6 months after i purchased the vehicle was very inconveniencing. then the rip off mechanics that tack on what i believe are illegal fees; the ghetto employees that look and behave so awful the place would fail if every a state inspector went undercover. We all do what we have to but I don't recommend anyone going to their place of business to make a purchase. there are several BUY HERE PAY HERE dealers in the Phila vicinity. there's one in clifton heights will 2007, 2008 & 2009 vehicles foreign & domestic. All Defilippo vehicles are about 8years old & up with really high mileage. I BET THEY DON'T HAVE CARFAX ~ If you have to buy from them ~ DON'T DO IT. YOU WILL BE SORRY.

THEY ARE SELLING CARS WITH HIGH MILEAGE AND THEY BRAKE DOWN ALOT. ON DEC 20, 2010, I HAVE HAD TO TAKE THE 1998 JEEP WITH ONLY 67000 MILES BACK 6 TIMES IN A 2 WEEK PERIOD, FIRST IT WAS THE COOLANT SENSOR, THEN THE CHECK ENGINE, THEY HAVE A BUNCH OF MONKEY FOR MECHANICS WHO SAY THEY LOOKED AND YET THE SAME THING. AFTER THE 3RD TIME I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND HE SAW IMMEDIATE MISTAKES. HE FOUND THE OLD THERMOSTAT IN THE HOUSING OF THE RADIATOR, WHAT PROFESSIONAL DOES THAT?. THE CAR CONTINUOUSLY DOESNT START, AFTER THEM CHECKING FOR THE 4TH TIMES THEY CANT FIND OUT WHY, THEY SEEM TO ONLY LOOK AT ONE POSSIBILITY INSTEAD OF ALL. THE INTAKE AIR HOSE WAS OFF, THE ALIGNMENT WASNT DONE CORRECT, THE CAR PULLED TO THE RIGHT DURING THE TEST DRIVE GOT IT BACK AND IT NOW PULLS TO THE LEFT. DAVE, THE MGR SEEMS TO HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS AND YET HE IS NOT A MECHANIC BY ANY MEANS. DONT TRUST NOTHING THEY SAY OR BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AND SPREAD THE WORD

I feel I was completely taken advantage of!!! They promised me a great car and I've only had it for 11 day and had it in thier service department 3 times and they can't seem to fix it. Every time they come up with something different that may or may not be wrong with it. I came to them because I needed a car of my own to start rebuilding my credit so that I could get an appartment with my three children after being dumped by my fiance of two years for some girl that he works with. I told them my story and told them that I never wanted to be taken advantage of by any man ever again and they completely used my misfortune to their advantage. I am so discusted by this place!!! Hopefully this rating helps save someone else from making a huge mistake like I did. Do your research. Visit their service center, sit back and observe the way they treat their customers, that will tell you everything! Trust me their not worth it, no matter how bad your situation and how hopeless things seem, you always have another option... EXPLORE IT!!!

Chris Cox is excellent with his sales technique and approach. He is not at all pushy like most auto sales and very easy to work with. We did have some technical difficulties with the adminstration and getting our registration, but Chris worked diligently to get the matter resolved.Now Maria when speaking with her can be quite nasty and I would prefer not to have ot deal with her. She's quite rude when leaving messages and appears to be bi-polar. At times she sounds nice and pleasant and at other times rude and borderline disrespectful.

Very helpful have helped me in everyway possible. i had been to a dozen dealers and got jerked around until they took the time to explain my credit, payment and how their program works. They got me into a payment I could afford and gave me a warranty and helped me get insurance.

Excellent sales process I have nothing but praise my credit was destroyed an I have improved my credit score 100 pts, people who gave bad reviews have had been repo'd they don't want to make their payments If you don't want to pay for yor car go somewhere else

I am in the process of rebuilding my credit...it is not bad my any means but just looking for a car and some positive reporting on my credit report....well to get to the point...despite advice to avoid this dealership, i inquired about a few cars they had.....not only were the calling me all the time to get me to come in for an appt....they were very 'accomodating'......willing to tailor everything to my needs...well i get there, not only was i shoved in a corner to fill out some paperwork..i was basically ignored for 30 mins....something didnt 'feel' right...there was another gentleman there complaining that defilippo was ripping him off and he explained to me in detail...stilli stayed, hoping for a good experience.....they shuffled me around, didnt 'show' me any cars, told me they would get something for me....and i left, no progress....they told me to call back that night, which i did, and the next days after that...i said that i felt like i was being brushed off.....long story short i did NOT buy a car from them and nor will i....its like they look down on you for taking the help they offer and advertise......like youre not worthy....they suck.....go to dougherty auto sales...bought three cars there...NEVER a problem, NEVER service like this jerks
