I am a UDM student and got a flat tire on the way to school. I had a tow that dropped my car off overnight and my tires were done by 3 pm the next day (in time to get to my exam). Cliff and Morris were God sends and so hopeful (and my, were they patient with me). So appreciative of Ferndale Honda and getting me back on the road. Will be coming here for years to come.

All personnel were friendly, courteous and professional. I did not feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. I simply made my choice and the salesperson answered all of my questions regarding the decision I'd made. I was not steered toward any car. In addition, the finance person helped me to understand all of the questions I had about the money I was spending.

Service department displayed concern and competency. Repairs and suggested service seems to be significantly higher cost than independent auto mechanics. New/used car personnel did not know the product, couldn't answer questions, and lt us walk out without establishing a trade-in value for our Accord in the possible purchase of a Honda SUV. We'll probably buy a Buick Encore.

Rick was extremely professional, very knowledgable, and worked with us to give the best car for our money. He found a new Accord that had everything we wanted - and we wanted everything! Three or four times while we conducting our transaction one their managers would come by talk to us, offer us beverages etc. It was a very pleasurable experience. They were very difficult to deal with. Many other Honda dealers will help you with initial pricing via email or over the phone (Page Honda and Brighton Honda for example). They flat out refused to provide any pricing without a visit to their store which was not convenient for me. Why can I buy virtually anything else via the Web but can't get pricing on a car? Allan's big objection was that I would take the price provided over the phone or email and shop that price, how is that different from a price I would get in a visit to their store? I am in sales and understand the sales process but these guys seem stuck in the dark ages. I can't comment on pricing, service, dealership experience because they self selected themselves out of consideration. I bought my new Honda CRV elsewhere. I only considered dealerships that would work with me on-line.

As a first time customer to any Honda dealership for repairs, I am quite disappointed in the unprofessional customer service I received by Will. There were too many issues and "mistakes" as the service manager called it. I wasted my time waiting on a part that it took them a couple hours to tell me that it needed to be ordered and that they would call me when it came in.The most disturbing part is finding out a week later that the part was there all alono when I called a week later since no one had called me and they said it would only be 1 or 2 days for the part to come in. All I was told was "sorry about that". Really??? I really hate that there is not a dealership closer to me than Ferndale Honda. I think they treated me poorly because I am female and have a 97 vehicle. It's truly a shame.

I would highly recommend Ferndale Honda! I have always purchased/leased from one of the big three and usually waited several hours for a test drive and application process than waited several days to pick up my vehicle. Not here! My salesman, John Large listened to my needs, #1 I needed a safe and dependable car because I drive my granddaughter to her multiple activities. The routine maintenance wrench appeared, with 15% oil life left, so we took it into Ferndale Honda for a look-see.The car has over 50,000 miles on it, with only a set of new tires and now front brakes... nothing more. It is one of the best running vehicles we have owned. The service folks at Ferndale Honda do an excellent job, every time, without disappointment.

Made appointment for the 20,000 mile scheduled service and dropped car off at 8:00 a.m. Left it there to go to work figuring that I could pick it up after work so I didn't have to sit in waiting area for unknown amount of time. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at work later that morning to find that the dealership had called saying that the car was ready. All in all, less than two hours. I could have waited but one never knows. As always, they did a thorough inspection and everything else that goes with scheduled maintenance and I couldn't be happier with their service. Also noted how clean garage area is, both in the drive in sign in area and the garage itself. Very nice indeed.

I hate buying a car; the haggling, the feeling of being lied to, having to threaten to walk out the door to get a deal done. Well, I had none of that at Ferndale Honda. Within a matter of minutes, we had negotiated a fair price for my trade in and a great price for my new Honda. My salesman, Angelo, willingly took all the time necessary to show me the features on the Honda Insight (he also put up with my coming back three times to get something I left in my trade in). Edwin obtained the interest rate I was hoping for, and when the deal hit a little snag, Charlie ably answered all questions to my satisfaction. All these guys were easy to talk to and joke with. In December of 2013 my battery failed and needed to be jumped. I took the car to Ferndale Honda and I was told I needed a new battery even though the battery was only 3 years old. After purchasing a new battery, the car failed to start once again in January. The serviceman tested the new battery and said it was fine. He said the harsh winter was causing the battery to drain even though my car was parked in my garage. I had the same problem occur in February and was told the same thing when I returned the car to Ferndale Honda. This time the serviceman advised me not to let the car sit for several days. The new battery failed again in March and the serviceman showed me the results of the battery test which "proved" that the battery was good. Once again he blamed the weather. There are two other vehicles at my residence that never failed to start during this past winter season and one of those cars was never garaged. Well along comes the spring season. The weather has been in the 70's the last three days, but my car did not start yesterday! I am so frustrated with this service department. I know something else is causing my battery to fail. I do not think the service advisor took me seriously because I am a woman. My Accord has survived 12 years of Michigan winters, and I never had any issues with it other than routine maintenance. My car was purchased new at this dealership and all scheduled maintenance was performed there as well. My experience with this dealership has been great until now. Unfortunately, I will have to seek help elsewhere.

In search of a new Mid-Size Sedan we ran the gamut of those in that line.. Fusions, Mazda6, Sonata, and Accord. After having bad experiences at the above with the exception of Honda we decided to go through Costco Auto Program, and were directed toward Ferndale Honda. I must say the experience was flawless from start to finish, as the Costco program eliminates the need to haggle because you are paying what the dealer pays for a car. Ferndale Honda treated us with respect through the entire process. Angelo was a fine sales rep, but I was most impressed with the owner Charles. He treated us like we were important, and you felt he really cared about his dealership, and the people buying cars in it. While there I noticed he made his rounds, greeting everyone, and ensuring their deals were going right. Ferndale doesn't pressure you, they seem to not be in the game of harassing buyers, or potential buyers like the other dealerships we went into. I appreciated that. We wanted a blue Accord, they found one in Lansing, and promised to have it in their dealership within 12 hours. Which they did. They told me it would have 70 miles on the Odometer, and when it arrived it had over 400! Not too happy about that, but Charles stepped in and told us the car was flawless, top to bottom, and that he would credit us an additional $140.00 due to the miles on it. Very nice! Financing was easy, I filled everything out on the internet, had my insurance fax over proof of insurance, and the entire process of picking up the vehicle was totally painless and over with in less than an hour. Frank, the finance manager was hilarious, his jokes were pretty awesome, and he lightened the mood. All around I have to say the guys at Ferndale Honda are GREAT, and fun to be around, and seem like they really do care about their jobs, and customers. I NEVER recommend car dealerships to friends, this is the first one I would recommend to anyone, including my own mother. One thing to note, my father died in 2006 and had a financed Honda Accord. My first, and only prior experience with Ferndale Honda was I wanted to get rid of his car, hassle free. I called them and they told me to just bring it in.. I walked in, handed my keys to the owner, and he was sorry about my fathers death and told me to go home, and forget about the car. This was one of the reasons we decided to go back to Ferndale Honda, compassion. They gained a life long customer out of me, and I am being 100% honest in this review in saying that. After some HORRENDOUS experiences with other dealerships, these guys were a real pleasure to deal with.

I enjoy driving my new Honda Accord and was glad I could get into a new lease at the time I really needed it. The service by Angelo At Ferndale Honda was excellent as always. He was patient and walked me through the use of the technology on the vehicle. The only thing that was a bit surprising, was that there was 231 miles on the car prior to the purchase and me making the decision to purchase it. I was informed it would not affect my mileage. All in all I will return to Ferndale Honda, but next time let me know before I make the decision. Nicole F. Cannon

I'm always pleased when I bring my Honda FIT to Ferndale Honda for maintenance. Almost as soon as I drive in and stop, there is someone there to assist me. My information is quickly taken, and problems I have are noted, and routine service is performed quickly and efficiently. When I return to pick up the car, I'm walked over to the payment window and the person there to take payment is friendly and also quite efficient. No wasted time waiting for the bill to be pulled and tallied. On the buying process, I purchased this car in 2011, and not once when I talked with the salesman did I feel pressured or feel that I was being given the business just so someone could push a sale. That was a deciding factor for me in completing the purchase. All in all, I am very pleased with Ferndale Honda and the excellent staff there.

I am the owner, proudly so, of a 2011 FIT Sport. I've not racked up that many miles since the year and 8 months that I've owned it due to my using public transportation to get the, roughly, six miles or so to work and back. The car is used on weekends, road trips, vacations and etc. But even with those travel miles I'm still just closing in on 12,000 miles. I received a notice last week that it was time for a scheduled service. When I called and mentioned the low mileage I still have, the service manager didn't try to sell me on getting an expensive scheduled maintenance but simply said that I'd probably just need an oil change and tire rotation. I brought the car in in the early a.m., left it and went to work, came back in the evening, everything was nicely taken care of. All fluids checked and all other services provided. I'm very happy for that fact and and also happy that I chose Ferndale Honda as the dealership that I purchased my Honda from.
