While working Hurricane Matthew storm repairs in South Carolina, my service truck experienced problems with DEF unit on the truck. I Spoke to our mechanic and he referred me to your Five Star Chevrolet garage. I spoke with Dan Smith, Brittany Sullivan and Darren. They were very professional and took care of the problem quickly and I was soon back out on the job restoring the electric service to the residents affected by the hurricane. They deserve to be commended for "a job well done".

My car was totaled from hurricane Matthew so I came to five star to look at the challengers. I fell in love with one but the payments we too high. Kendrick goodman sent above and beyond when i came to getting me a payment I could afford. He kept going to his boss saying I needed something lower and they finally got me the price I needed on payments and didn't let me leave until I was satisfied.

I recently bought a used car through Five Star Chevrolet. I traveled 2 hours to test drive and eventually buy the car. Let me start out by saying that the dealership worked very hard to make sure the payments fit within my budget. However, there were a few issues to be resolved that were discussed prior to me purchasing the vehicle. During the test drive, the car was somewhat dirty inside. Old sticky popsicle sticks and wrappers were found in the cup holders and I was told that before I left the dealership that it would be cleaned. In addition, the floors were not vacuumed and the back of the driver seat had dirty foot prints on them, as if a kid in a car seat had pushed his feet up against the seat. They removed the popsicle sticks and wrappers but did not clean the sticky residue in the cup holder or the floors/seats. There were a few scratches inside the car and the car was missing floor mats, which the dealership agreed to have fixed and provide. Since the detail dept is only open on certain days, I was assured that I would receive a call within 2-3 days (after the purchase date) to schedule a time for me to bring the car in. It's been a month and I have yet to receive a phone call. In addition, after having the car for a few days, I began to smell an awful smell in the car. I took it to another dealership where I had to have the car steam cleaned and then chlorine bombed just to get rid of the smell. I was pretty disappointed to say the least, especially since the car was practically new. However, I had the car undergo a full diagnostic by a mechanic who informed me that the car was well cared for (despite it being dirty) and runs well.

I've been using Five Star for five years now. The service department just keeps getting better with each appointment. With the cost of today's repairs, it's important that the work be done thoroughly and thoughtfully. I get both at Five Star. I also usually wait onsite while my repairs are completed and I get to view how they treat all the customers and I see many that, while not always pleased that the work is required, they do more often than not appreciate the clear and direct way they deal with their customers.

I received an email from Five Star inviting me to rate my experience on this site, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to do so. The service department did not fix a simple alignment problem on a 2016 Tahoe. Made an appointment online and detailed that the vehicle wandered and that the steering wheel was not properly centered. Received a phone call mid day saying that the tech drove it and everything was fine. I don't think I would have brought it in if it were. Told the service advisor I wanted an alignment even if I had to pay. They claim they did an alignment but issue is still present and they didn't even bother to recenter the steering wheel. Waste of time. Will need to bring vehicle to another shop for resolution.

The person who checked me in was curious and helpful. I was directed to the waiting area which was clean and comfortable. being stranded In South Carolina and not able to get home to Indiana wasn't as I would have liked. Dan Smith was quite helpful. He looked for ways to help us get back home without breaking the bank. We had to leave our car for transmission work, so when I would call to check on the progress of the repair he was always quite helpful and never made me feel like I was interrupting something more important. Also the service manager, Joey Vause, was very kind and helpful which was also much appreciated.

I was given instructions on doing this on Google; however I do not know how to scan things with my phone, I dont have a Google account ad I could not figure out from the instructions how to do it because I never saw a box on ReviewsFiveStarFlorence.com; therefore this is the only way I could find to provide the review you asked for. Rating between 1-5 was a 5. I took my Camero in for the first oil change. Dan Smith called me and scheduled and appointment and was very friendly and helpful in doing so. He met me when I drove up and greeted me by name. The oil change was done as was the recall for my ignition key, which he did as a courtesy to me because I did not request this to be done, but I now have two extra keys! . Dan even had my car washed and vacuumed for me. And all of this was done without costing me anything except time. His customer service was excellent and his personality and professionalism are an asset to the dealership. I hope to deal with him during my next scheduled service/maintenance on my new car, Cashier Lindsey Collins was also very friendly, helpful and professional. The two of them made a routine oil change a very pleasant experience with little ease. Thanks for a job well done and sending me off with a nice clean car too!

I would recommend everyone looking to purchase a new vehicle to give five star a chance. My husband and I purchased a 2014 Chevy Malibu in July and we absolutely love it. Traveling I-95 from Florida to PA we hit a piece of a recap tire and ended up with a damaged gas tank and gas pouring out. Checking my I-phone I found that Five Star Chevrolet was close by and arranged for my chevy van to be towed in. On arrival I was greeted by Kristina Heman who from the beginning made my wife and I feel everything was going to be alright. This was a few days before the 4th of July and I was concerned that we would be stuck roughly half way on our trip until the next week. Yet Kristina made sure we got what we needed to get fixed and we were back on the road with only three hours lost. I would like to thank the whole staff but especially Kristina Herman and Lindsey Collins for their kindness and help. The service at this dealership is top of the line!
