I contacted Heather to help find me a new(used) car. I knew I wanted all wheel drive, but I wanted a sedan rather than an SUV or crossover. Heather took me out to the lot to look at a few sedans that were AWD. She showed me a Dodge Charger and a Chrysler 200, both AWD and well equipped. Although both nice rides, I wasn't sold on either of them. I noticed that friendly didn't only have Chrysler branded cars on their lot, but also a few subaru's. I asked Heather what it would take to get a 2015 or newer Subaru Legacy. She told me she would look around and get back to me. The next day Heather contacted me to let me know she found a 2016 Subaru Legacy, with the same trim I was looking for! I told her it was a go and to have it delivered. Two days later I got a call that the legacy was delivered. I rushed on down to sign all the papers, and another two days later I was leaving the lot in my new Legacy. I was very pleased with heather's determination to make sure I walked out with the car I really wanted. Even though Friendly is a Chrysler branded dealship, they were still able to get me the Subaru I had my eyes set on. I walked on a happy customer that day. Thanks for the great service Heather and the rest of the friendly team that helped me with my new wheels! :)

I was a little hesitant about the hour and 20 minute drive but after speaking with Rodney over the phone and his professional manor we made the drive. Then go to Friendly Dodge and ask to talk to Carl Miller! I am a newbie to the Wrangler family. Carl was happy to let me test drive by myself, but I opted to have him ride along so I could pick his brain! Which I did of course! He answered all my questions and filled me in on all stuff that I didn't think of. He made the paperwork process easy. (We handled most of it by phone and email!) I even threw him a curve ball mid-stream and bought brand new instead of used so he had to change everything! Love the new Jeep!Thanks Carl!

Dave and Jacob did a FANTASTIC job getting us a vehicle we wanted at a price we could afford!! This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I spoke to Heather a couple times on the phone and to Jacob once. When I arrived everything was ready to go. All numbers and figures just as they said and on proposal so the normal person can understand. None of the add this to this and take this away from this all on paper written to be understood easily. A bonus was I got a better deal on my trade and purchase then I expected. It was not an all day task in and out in one and a half hours.I drove 120 miles to deal with this dealership and I plan to have all service work done at Friendly ,their service department is just as the sales department, Upfront and Honest! Sold us a jeep is a lemon. Have had nothing but problems with it since we got it. Car is unsafe to drive but friendly won't do anything about it. I should not feel unsafe in a car that I pay 500 dollars a month for! They sell junk cars that have problems & cars that are lemons. Save yourself the time & trouble & don't even think about going here there is plenty of other dealerships that have cheaper prices & cars that won't leave you on the side of the road.

We visited Friendly to look at a specific vehicle, but didn't have high expectations based on the fact that the price quoted to me was above what others have asked for the same vehicle We gave them the number we wanted it for and not only did they offer it to us for that price, they added an extra 1000 to our trade in, which was already way more than other dealerships offered. Couldn't have asked a better deal and we left with an awesome new vehicle. Carl Miller was great and very knowledgeable about the Jeep we purchased. Would absolutely recommend this place to anybody and will come here first the next time we need a vehicle! Note: we went on a Saturday and it was super busy and took a long time...a week day would probably be better.

I owned a 2007 Dodge charger and wanted to update to a newer style. I started shopping in November and finally purchased in May. Joe Curtis worked patiently with me each step of the way. I found a truck on Autotrader at Friendly Dodge, I asked for more info and they answered every question. I normally don't believe a word that comes out of a sales persons mouth, but they had the documentation to back it. Everything seemed to check out. Next step was to drive the 200 miles there. I did and so far I glad I did. The sales staff got me into that truck. No bait and switch! No up selling!! They did a great job and I wouldn't be hesitant to travel back in a few years.

Shopping for a newer truck and I was getting no where with local dealerships. I found a truck on Autotrader that appeared to be everything I was looking for. After a few emails back and forth, Heather, (the sales person) answered all my questions and even sent me documentation to back it up. They said if I come down, it will be worth it. So I did and so far it has been. The gave me top dollar for my trade, Made a smooth quick transaction to get me back on the road home. Jake was very good to work with, and a BIlls fan as I am too. In a few years when I'm looking to upgrade, I won't be hesitant to look there again.

I went to a lot of other dealerships and they couldn't find me help or really work with me, to the point where i was gonna exhaust all my resources before giving up, when a friend of mine told me to try Friendly's, so i said i would give it a try. I told my sales person (Peg) my price range, she found three vehicles in it. when i went for my appointment, we did a test drive in one of the vehicles, i fell in love in with it, it took quite some time. then they told me the same thing the other dealerships told to where i was gonna give up hope, then they asked me to give them a little more time to find a bank that they could get to work with, so i waited until Peg came up and said that i was getting my new vehicle. I was so thankful for their persistence that it finally paid, in more than one way, i was finally gonna be getting rid old car that was constantly breaking down, and getting a new vehicle. they worked with me in so many ways that they found a lower payment rate a month and a bank that didn't need a cosigner. i will defiantly be doing more business there. they are a great group if people that treat you like finally and don't really car about themselves but car about their customers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRIENDLY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM TO EVERYONE LOOKING FOR A NEW CAR.

Over a two week period she showed us both new and used vehicles. In the end we chose a new dodge Journey. We have had it for about three weeks now and enjoy it immensely. This was the best experience we have had at a dealer with purchasing a vehicle. We had come in with a TON of stipulations to the purchase and Dave listened to them all. The dealer even had a catered lunch that was excellent! He let us drive multiple vehicles even for hours at a time to make sure its exactly what we wanted. My parents had bought vehicles from Friendly's for years so when I was in the market to trade in my 2008 Jeep I had them on my list of places to visit. I went up with no intention of buying a car that day, I really just wanted to look around and get some ideas on trade in values and pricing but by the end I was offered a deal I couldn't refuse! Peggy came out in the lot and let me drive a couple of new jeeps, and as I had expected I fell in love with a 2016 Jeep Renegade Latitude (it's bright yellow, what's not to love?). When it came to financing and working out a deal Peggy really had my back and supported me, she listened to what I was looking for and enforced that with the financing team. She has officially been titled "my person" (: The only thing I've noticed while up there with my parents, and up there that day for myself is that they take an outrageous amount of time processing paperwork, so I wouldn't recommend making the trip if you're on a time crunch. But the staff is great and I'm in love with my new car, so it was more than worth the wait! If you're in the market for a new car GO to Friendly Dodge Chrysler Jeep!

I can't stress enough about how nice and courteous the staff was when we bought our Dodge Ram 1500 (this is our third Ram truck). They treat us like family, always keeping us updated, checking in and making sure we are happy. They really make it all about how happy the customer is. I found a Scion on their website. No price listed. Called and got a quote. $10,399, with a $3500 trade in for cash for clunkers deal. Found the SAME car on Cargurus.com for $6900. Printed out the info, went to the dealership and asked what would the price be if I chose not to trade in my car. The said they would be absolute saints and knock off $900 and give it too me for $9500. Which is $2000 above Kelly-Blue-Book. They were all ready to take my check when I showed them the ad from the other site. Then the guy ran off to find someone else help explain why they were listing it for 2 different prices. I guess you can do that when it's just "To get people in the door". Even if they drive 45 minutes 1 way?! I went there in February, so I figure they must've thought i was some some poor, low-income fool with a nice fat tax return. Pretty much told me the price was firm , or they could take a couple hundred off so they didn't lose a customer. Too late !Now granted, my car isn't a luxury model, but I'm sure as xxxx not handing it over for free. DO NOT BUY HERE! CROOKS, CROOKS, CROOKS. Rated them all 1 stars, except for friendliness. Because don't they come with smiles and words of praise when they want your money ?

I started my journey of looking for a used car at auto loan options where i applied for pre-approval of an auto loan.Get a call back from Sandy Miller on behalf of auto loan options who takes my information, runs a credit check and then tells me i am pre-approved and they can easily get me into a car with a monthly payment of under $150.00 but wont give me any idea of how much over all that I am approved for which makes it very difficult to look for a used car. She then tells me that I can only go to Friendly Dodge in Penn Yan which is over an hour a way from me BUT they are currently doing a Cash for Clunkers trade in. $3500.00 for my trade in, no matter what shape the car is in. So I look at their website and find a 2012 Kia Optima that I like though their website has no listed prices on any of the vehicles I am hesitant to call them back because they are over an hour away and I really don't want to make the trip out there for nothing. 1 week later I now have 5 voice mails from Sandy Miller telling me the same thing. That she is following up to our conversation and she pushes the Cash for Clunkers deal they have going on. So finally on my day off i decide to call them to set up an appointment to see the 2012 Kia Optima. First Sandy Miller tells me the Optima was sold and starts talking about jeeps. Then when i start to tell herI was really interested in only seeing the 2012 Kia Optima and don't know if they have anything else that would to me be worth the hour+ drive, all of the sudden Oops "She was looking at the 2013 Kia Optima" and yes the 2012 is still there! I asked her what the listed price on the car is and she couldn't access that information, I would have to go there. I was able to determine using their website that they were asking roughly $13,900 for the Kia which was over priced as it was, Mazda or Ridgeway has the exact Make/Year/Model with 40K less miles for $12,800 so i'm thinking I have some room to negotiate. Plus having $3500 for trade and $2000 cash I figured I should be able to get to my target range of $100-150/Mo. When we get to Friendly we meet with a very friendly and personable sales associate who takes us around in the freezing wind to show us some vehicles, we are unable to find the Kia however so he tells us it may be over on their ford lot which will take 30 minutes for them to get it over. We agree to wait so he goes in to make the call to get the Kia over. We are then met by another associate who tells us the Kia is gone, possibly to auction. The original sales associate apologizes as he believes we were misled about the cash for clunkers. They both agreed that the Kia had been listed for roughly $13,900 however that was with the $3,500 already taken off. $17,400 for a 2012 Kia Optima with 60k miles on it? The finance manager also informed me that there was no way he would be able to get anyone, even with good credit, a payment under $200 a month. Buyers beware, if you go to Friendly Dodge expect to pay at least $3,500 more than any other dealership. Friendly Dodge Beware, It is against NY State law to false advertise. Even though Friendly Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is located an hour and forty five minutes away from my home, it was a trip worth making. Our salesperson, Heather Uvanni was very knowledgeable with all the vehicles we looked at, but more importantly, the time we spent there that afternoon was a lot of fun. Now due to time restraints on our part we couldnt finalize the deal that day. No problem. We finished all the paperwork over the phone the following week and when we were ready to pick up our new van, all we needed to do was sign the paperwork that was completed and waiting for us. Has to be the easiest and most pleasurable vehicle purchase of all time.

After an hour drive to get there, as promised Heather had the truck clean and ready for me to test drive. She explained everything to me about the truck and was just a lovely, friendly person to work with. She made me feel very welcome and comfortable. As for agreeing on a price for the truck and my trade, it couldn't have been easier. I can't stress enough how nice it was to negotiate a deal at friendly. There was no getting up and walking away for 10 min. every time there was a counter offer, like all the other dealerships I've been to.Then after the deal was made, Joe in finance got me the best interest rate and term that I've ever seen (or heard of for that matter) for a used vehicle. They quickly got the truck ready for me and I drove it home the same day. These people are awesome and I would recommend them to anybody. Definitely worth the drive out there.

Saw a used truck that i wanted on their site. they told me 30 or 31k before i even went to look at it over the phone. I know my ram trucks and prices. Drove from rochester 1 hour 1 way and loved the truck. They told me 33k when i got there and gave me some bull about a confusion with another truck When they saw how mad i was we agreed to 31k. Then they told me that i cant use my own financing which i wanted to and had to use theirs! Avoid them! Master manipulators

They screw on trade in they never said they where running a special on trade in 3500 push pull or drag the motor blew up on truck the jeep was running fine and they gave me 3500 for both didn't find out the add was running till I was driving to work next day herd it on radio.Then new 2012 jeep grand I realized the clock and remote entry was not working took it up when I had a day off work. They told me I should have took a day off work and bring it up so now I have to pay a 100$ deductible and the clock and remote entry has not worked sence I got it . feel like I got robbed will never buy a car from Friendly dodge in penn yan go to maguire all the way !!!!!!!!!

Bought my 2010 Ram 2500 with the expectations of reliability.After high quote for repairs from a local shop I call Friendly to see if extended warranties purchased will cover the work. ( extensive explanation of needed work wa s explained) . Was told bring it up for verification of work needed. Drive 45 minutes one way with back up ride home to get a call that none of it was covered and they can make same repairs for an additional 600.00. Thanks for wasting my time and money and being deceitful on the phone. A little honesty would have kept this past customer satisfied.

I researched and searched for about six months to buy a new Ram 1500 pickup. I talked with dozens of Ram dealers, and actually entered into negotations with at least half a dozen. In every case, I felt as if I were being manipulated. I found the Laramie I wanted at Friendly Ram/Dodge in Penn Yan, NY, and contacted them by email. Carl Miller responded, and we entered into the process by email. Carl was honest, truly informative about the truck, and engaged. Carl offered me the truck for what I thought was a fair price. We set up an appointment, and I drove to Friendly Ram. A receptionist met me at the door, calling me by name, and took me to Carl's desk. Carl was just as friendly - sincerely so - as he had been in the emails. The entire dealership had an atmosphere of, well, friendliness and a desire to help. I went looking around the dealership at one point and a service rep got me a cup of coffee - he didn't know I was a potential buyer, he was just a nice guy. The entire process of closing the deal and driving off in the new truck took about two painless hours. At one point when I felt the trade-in value they offered was too low, the sales manager came out, introduced himself, and asked, "What do you need for your trade for us to make the deal?" I told him what I thought was a fair price, and we closed the sale at that point. Painless. I had been offered better deals, from a price point perspective, at other dealers, but I did not feel comfortable with them and walked away. The lesson for any car dealers reading this is that it is not always about the absolute lowest price. It is about making the customer feel like it is a collaborative process, instead of an adversarial process. I understand, as a buyer, that the dealership has to make a profit - I just don't want to feel as if they are scamming and taking advantage of me. I did not have that feeling at Friendly. I recommend Carl Miller and Friendly Dodge/Ram without reservation. I will buy from them again, and I encourage you to give them a try for your business. I think you will find, as I did, that they will work to earn your business and will treat you right. This may sound trite, but they are Friendly by name, and friendly by nature.

BUYER BEWARE (Lengthy, but worth the read as consumers should be made aware of their business practices):Yesterday I received an email message in reply to an ad I have on Craigslist from a man who identified himself as "Abraham." My ad was for a 2009 Nissan Rogue, 67,000 miles, asking $12,500. In his message "Abraham" asked me to call him regarding my Nissan for sale on Craigslist. I called the number given and asked for "Abe" and was connected with a salesperson identifying himself as that person. He proceeded to tell me that he had seen my ad, that he had a customer that wanted my car, and if I brought the car to the dealership "he would write me a check on the spot." I asked when would be a good time and was told by "Abe" that Wednesday morning at 10:00am he would have the customer at the dealership to see the car and we could make the sale.It's important to note too, that at this time I mentioned my skepticism to Abe that this sounded like some sort of sales scam. I also informed him that I lived and hour away, had to make arrangements for a ride home, and that I wanted to know if this was a serious offer. I was assured by "Abe" that all was legitimate.This morning, I drove my Nissan and a friend drove his car, to Friendly Dodge both having taken half a day off of work. Upon arriving at Friendly Dodge, I was informed that "Abraham" was not at the dealership, and after some questioning on my part, found out that there is in fact no "Abraham." "Abraham" is just some sort of "code name" that is used in order to determine where customers are coming from. No one was able to even tell me who I had spoken to the previous day and that Abe, the person I had spoken with, must be away in training. This is after making an appointment, arranging a ride home and taking time off from work, that there was no customer waiting that had an interest in my car and no "Abraham."At this time, I was assured that another sales person could take care of me. To make this story somewhat shorter than the time I actually spent in the waiting room (while someone looked at my Nissan), I was offered approximately $9,200 for my vehicle that was advertised for $12,500. When I began to express my displeasure with this situation, I as actually told well, we agreed to cut you a check and thats what we are doing.This is an unacceptable practice. If someone is going to negotiate a price on a vehicle, it is done BEFORE a request to a customer to go out of his/her way to deliver a car. An offer to purchase the car and then later offering a significantly lower price is not how business is done. If I offered to purchase a vehicle from a website, asked that it be delivered it to my house, and say "I will cut you a check on the spot," I'm fairly certain that they would expect the advertised amount. You DO NOT tell customers you will purchase their vehicle (responding to an advertised price) and then low-ball them after they take the time and effort to bring the vehicle to the dealership. There was NO mention of any negotiation or offers even after it was expressed that this sounded shady to begin with. This is an underhanded, scheming, conniving way of doing business and I will NEVER recommend Friendly Dodge to anyone. The Better Business Bureau has been contacted as well. I have seen my fair share of scams, but this one takes the cake.

Found the Journey on Cars.com. Called emailed that night. Called the next day and talked to Holly. Drove to the dealership and the Journey was in front of the showroom waiting. It was a rainy day. Holly was very helpful and I purchased the Journey and drove it home. I have been happy with the Journey since I got it. It was everything I was looking for.

I started my purchase in early may 2013, my sales girl was holly. We went back and forth for about a month before we got close to making a deal. I had bought a 2010 dodge ram 1500 from her before and was looking to trade it in. Ford offered my 1000.00 more than friendly dodge did and about 4500.00 more in incentives. But I stuck with my dodge, after driving 1.5 hrs to the dealership and sitting down with the finance manager, I was told that I needed more documents for the incentives I was to receive. Now do you think it would have been a good idea to let me know this before I drove 1.5hrs to get my new truck. On top of it all they didn't even know the in ands out about the incentives so I lose over 644.00 doing this deal. I called the owner of this dealership and we all had a conference call and he used foul language with me on the phone. I have called Dodge and filed a complaint#23524968 and I am calling the better business bureau and the state attorney office not only do they lack the skills of communication their integrity about lying to us in the financial office. I vow to tell everyone about this experience, I have never seen a dealership this badly ran before in my life.

HE WAS AWESOME...i test drove a vehicle that i thought i would like and relized it was not what i was looking for after all.He had suggested a different vehicle, so i test drove it and in the end i purchased it. I did not even test drive anything other then the car he suggested. This is the first brand new car i have ever purchased. The gave me a great trade in amount for the car i was driving. I had my 4 year old daughter with me and i fealt that Francis had even included her in the decision of the car. Everyone i dealt with had a very "Friendly" attitude. Francis took the time to introduce me to people in parts and service and show me where they were located in there location. I LOVE MY 2013 DODGE AVENGER. Thank you!!! This vehicle is my 14th and by FAR the best buying experience of them all. I was beyond picky about colors both interior and exterior. I insisted on having just the right features. I wasnt satisfied with any of the vehicles in stock so Carl spent DAYS searching for the right one and he found it. Exactly the vehicle that I had imagined and I could not be happier with it. Even on his day off he worked all day wheeling and dealing with other dealerships to find me the perfect vehicle. I know this because we emailed back and forth constantly throughout the day. Then it was a quick phone call come and get it. Signed, sealed and delivered. Financing wasnt an issue even for a person with less than perfect credit, best interest rate I have ever had. All I had to do was drive up and sign my name. Its so easy its dangerous! I've purchased a couple vehicles from this place, and my last one, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, will be the last. Lied to be the sales guy, lied to by the accounts manager, they made me pay for something I specifically told them I did not want ($200 for Sirius), and they charged me $850 for AC, which I didnt know about. In all fairness, they did refund me for the Sirius, but only $175 of the $200. I'm not sure why. Then, I take it in for an issue with the passenger seat, and when I get it back, there's a softball size dent in the front fender from the mirror on the door. "Friendly" Dodge? I dont think so. More like "Nightmare" Dodge.

Beware "Friendly" Dodge is anything but...My wife and I visited Friendly Dodge in Penn Yan as we were passing through on the way to Geneva. We had heard all the hyped up radio commercials for them and thought we would give them a shot. We were in the market for a quality used vehicle. We had a good idea of what we wanted to spend (total cost of the vehicle plus tax tags etc.). We browsed the limited selection of used vehicles and saw a couple for which we were interested in finding out the prices. None of the vehicles had prices marked on an invoice in the window nor on the windshield (this was my first inclining that something was wrong). Upon asking about the prices for the 2 vehicles in question the response given by the salesman was: "umm I'm not sure we just got those in on trade today. I will have to check with the boss." I thought it funny that cars on the lot offered for sale did not have prices known to the salesman. He then strongly encouraged us to take the obviously more expensive and newer vehicle for a test drive. I refused until I knew the price. The salesman came back with the typical: "What kind of monthly payment are you looking for?" I was not happy and once again stated: I would only like to know what the sticker/invoice price is for the vehicle so I didn't waste anymore of my time or that of the salesman. He began stalling and said "umm I need to ask the boss we just got this car in today. There are certain steps we have to go through for a car sale." We then inquired about how much they would give us for a vehicle we had for trade in. He took our keys and said "well I will have the boss look at it and appraise it for you. Lets take this car you like out for a test drive while the boss does the appraisal for you. You know the boss would be happy if we just take it our for a spin." We reluctantly went for a test drive not knowing how much they were asking for the car. The car was a very nice 2006 Dodge Charger R/T which booked for in the neighborhood of $19,000 per NADA which I found out according to the app on my iphone and not from the salesman. I did not want to pay that much for a 6yr old vehicle. At this point the salesman and the sales manager were still not telling me how much they were asking for the vehicle. I finally got fed up with the stalling techniques they were using and bluntly showed the salesman what I had found out according to the NADA app on my phone and asked: "Is the price somewhere in the neighborhood of this figure?" He got visibly shaken and said "Oh I don't mind if you did your homework. I think its great that you did your homework." Then he went back to the sales manager to show him what I had found. He came right back out and said: "The boss is gonna draw up some figures for the charger and your trade and we can go from there." After 20 more minutes we had a sheet in front of us with almost the exact price I had shown him from NADA and about $3000 less for the trade than I told him I wanted. At this point after wasting an hour of our time we said no thanks and proceded towards the door. But we were still missing the keys for our vehicle which were in the hands of the sales manager. As the sales manager reluctantly gave us back our keys he continued to try and talk us into buying the charger by continually giving us a higher figure for our trade. We thanked them for their time, headed for the door our keys in hand not looking back. I will never darken the doorstep of this dealership again. They cannot be trusted.

Was trying to get a vehicle and had a trade a trade in, first they didnt want to give even fair trade value on car when we had maintinance records since we had it. Then tries to sell a car worth more than its worth. Salesman says they just clean their trade in cars then sell them as reconditioned cars. What a croc of bs
