I bought a 2017 Honda Accord from here last month. The sales person that took care of me was David Russo. I was on my way to visit someone, and casually walked into the dealership to see if they had the car I wanted to buy. Luckily they had the exact car I was looking for, and they came very close to the price I was looking to pay. I went on a Saturday, and David sat with my family the entire day and made the buying process very pleasant. He was very patient and worked with me and my family and made sure we were taken care of. I would recommend you look for him when you try and buy your car. The finance manager was also very friendly. They were very professional and were there to sell a car, and they did. They were not rude or try to bully me into buying a car like some of the other dealerships that I went to.

Deborah in financing first of all is awesome. She was very helpful with every question I had and really helped me get into my new (used) car. The Salesman Jerry Perez was so nice and helped me get to the dealership, I'm from South Jersey so the roads are very confusing . But all in all the staff was very nice and helpful. They were very accommodating and made us feel great the whole time.

All the employees went above and beyond to help me get the car that I wanted! My salesman did not pressure me and helped me chose the best deal even if it wasn't the easiest. The financers all explained everything in calm detail to me about all the paperwork I was signing and all the staff members I met in between were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I bought a car here and will definiately be returning for my next one.

This is my sixth New Honda and second one from Garden State Honda.Best car buying experience so far out of all of them. Elvis Pascual is very good at his job. No guessing on trim levels, options, recommendations, etc. Past experiences with other dealers had me explaining the differences between LX, EX, EX-L , Touring, to the sales staff, Not here! It was a pleasure dealing with Elvis, Eddie G. and Pedro D.(Finance) and the price didn't hurt either. No need to haggle back and forth. If you're in the market for a new car, lease or purchase, I highly recommend Elvis Pascual, I dealt with him in the Passaic showroom.

Absolutely loved how quickly the process was. The guys were bending over backyards to accommodate my 2 year old's limited patience. From coloring to balloons, my toddler had fun. Dropped by Garden State Honda after a brutal dissapointment with Planet Honda in Union, NJ. Although i did leave empty handed, Kerry Grant, is the gentlemen who assisted me and was a pleasure to deal with. He and his team at the dealer waisted no time trying to help me out on a deal. Kerry was very patient yet fast and very professional to say the least. The reason i walked out empty handed was due to my own simple mistake, not the sales team. My friend purchased their new Honda with Norma and had a wonderful experience. It was a bit challenging for them to get a new car but I was told that Norma made it possible for her. They were not pressured into the purchase of their new vehicle & Norma made their purchase smooth and easy. I was assured that I wanted to meet with her for my next car purchase per my friends overall experience with her. I visited the dealership in hopes of working with Ms. Norma but was told she no longer works there. I was a bit upset knowing it's hard to find a genuine sales rep. I worked with another associate but did not get the service I was anticipated for so decided to give Norma this review. Overall very friendly staff but I would've favored more working with the rep I was referred to. I got into my brand new Honda Accord & I'm extrermtly happy definitely would recommend to friends!!! If you're wondering if you should shop garden state Honda you've come to the right place. The service I received and the help from the agent Jose and Dannie was outstanding. They listened to my concerns and tried their best to get me the vehicle of my choice. I was impressed with the quick and efficient service at Garden State. Made the deal via email and phone and Mr Emmanuel Enziani was true to his word and I got the price we agreed upon when I arrived at the dealership. Everything was ready to go, no haggling over the price. Surprisingly, it still took 3 hours to wrap up and finally drive out of there. Elvis Pascual was very patient and helpful, taking care of my lease turn in also and even going out of his way to get my toddler a balloon. :) I was overall satisfied with the deal, the low pressure environment and friendly staff. One small hiccup at the very end was that I noticed my monthly payment was $30 higher than expected (bring your own loan payment calculator!) but the financial person was patient and took the time to compare calculations and correct the "error" and readjust the payment before I signed off on it. I also got the plates via Fedex overnight. Super fast!

From the moment I walked in the door until the moment I sat down and signed the papers this experience was the absolute best I have ever had. I have owned many cars over my life and I always dread the car buying experience. This time was different. Tae Kim was our salesman and I have nothing but great things to say about him. He was kind, courteous, informative, patient and helpful in every way imaginable. From my experience I always ended up with salesmen that have that cocky attitude, are full of themselves and just keep on pressuring and rushing the process which I absolutely hate. I was very tough with what I wanted and quite picky on the car as well as the papers I wanted to sign. I made my concerns known to my salesman (Elvis Pascual) Who did everything he could to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. In a world of sales haggles and dishonesty I really wanted to share my personal experience with the Passaic Service Center for Garden State Honda. My service advisor is Andrew who is friendly, professional and most of all honest and knowledgeable. This is a combination that is key. My 2007 Honda CRV is all o have and I certainly can't afford a new car. As a hard working mom with a son who has plenty of avtivites and 3 young adult kids sharing the same car - having a reliable car is critical. I have had problems that took me to 4 different Honda dealers and some local shops too and I felt like crying each time. I felt duped, I couldn't understand what was going on with my car, their lingo and why in the world it would cost so much to make repairs. When I came to Andrew I explained the cars symptoms and like a doctor he took the time to have it examined and offered me solutions that I needed to take care of now and he broke down my timeline to resolve other issues. I followed his guide on the things my car needed and my car is now running in tip top shape - I would drive it anywhere including to FL which I'm doing in Oct. I say this to say that on our first encounter with his approach and stellar service - I told him at the desk that day "you are my guy!" And he has been my car guy ever since! I'd go no where else and that is because he was honest and professional and knowledge and also because he saw me as I am - an average hard working person who needs her car. So thank you Andrew for 5 star service. Today I went back to him to replace my headlight and most people may think why go to the dealership for something like that instead of Pep Boys or something like that but I'd answer - "he's my guy!" I'm not going anywhere else with my car. Go see Andrew - make him your guy too!

Huge shout out to the Garden State Honda in Passaic, NJ. This dealership has GREAT services. I felt very welcome, the treatment was to the extreme(in a good way). . I awoke on a Saturday and went in to Garden State Honda determined and ready to spend an entire day negotiating. However, it's not what happened. I went in and left the dealership satisfied and excited! I don't know how they do it, but they did it! I was very fortunate to work with a group of great people that made me feel like I was part of the family. It's been 10 years for me with Garden State Honda and I wouldn't change any of it. I normally don't review anything or give feedback because it should be customary to provide professional grade service as any establishment that accepts money for service. This was just like any of those instances, but way much more. The quality and persistence from Angelica at Garden State Honda is exactly what it took to get me in the only manual civic left in the closer region! I cannot be any more happier with the way things were handled by the team there at Honda to allow me to drive away in the car I wanted. I was even on time to show up in my new ride to work!

This was the first car I've ever gotten and Jesuabet made it memorable because he treated me like family: he was honest, straightforward, considerate, helpful, and funny! During my test drive(s), he was very encouraging...as I only get to drive once in a while; this showed his professionalism and compassion. By the end of the night (I got there around 7 and they close at 9) we were all tired, hungry and exhausted, but it was worth it.

To all my short friends....if you are in the market for a car, do check out the Honda Fit. I love that I sit high, and yet the car is small. Wonderful visibility, handles well, and it does come in lots of colors. I chose yellow cause it made me smile, and I like being able to spot my car in a crowded lot :). If you are from North Jersey, Garden State Honda is the place to do it, and Marco Cabrera was great to work with. I leased mine, they have the best deal around I was new to leasing, and Marco took me through it step by step, explaining the fine print. Nice thing about Garden State Honda is a minimum of fine print, and they mean it when they say "$995 and Drive!"

David Russo is the salesperson that really broke down the numbers with me and was very straightforward on the leasing numbers and details on the 2016 Honda CR-V. My wife and I went to the Clifton office. Our assigned sales rep. probably meant well but knew nothing about the cars and even refused to give us a rough idea of how much the car would cost per month to purchase. He only would run the numbers for the lease option. It really was like they didn't want to sell us a car.Things started off poorly when the rep. informed us we needed to give him our phone number, and our address for the system to work. I explained we were moving and we rather not give an address. He looked blankly at us and quipped "well then I guess I can't get you in the system." My wife and I looked at each other and then I asked "does that mean we can't see any cars?" The rep. responded coldly "that's not what I said." We ended up being driven to the Passaic location to first see a used car, which when we looked inside we noticed reeked of cigarette smoke. I explained we didn't want test drive a car that smelled so bad. The rep. understood and showed a showroom car before driving us back to the Clifton office. We then explained we would like to see how leasing compares to purchasing and roughly what the monthly payment would be. After being gone for almost 15 minutes he came back to us only with the lease option numbers. We asked again to get a rough, ball-park idea of how much the car could cost to purchase and he flatly said, "we can't give you that information" Shocked and confused I tried to explain that we wanted to have any idea of the cost of the car to make a decision about purchasing it and he again said "we can't give you that information." I said we're leaving and he rudely said "are you serious?"My wife and I had decided to leave when Frank, a desk manager, stopped us and asked what the problem was. I explained we had been there almost an hour at this point, hadn't been able to test drive a car, and simply wanted to know roughly the price difference between buying and leasing. He gave us this information but didn't once apologize for our treatment. He explained the rep. was right out of high school and remarked "there are a lot of attitudes going around right now."I cannot stress enough what an awful experience this was from start to finish. If you want a Honda you can do better somewhere else. It really was like they didn't want to sell us a car.

My salesman Marco was outstanding. When I came in to see him he was just about ready to sit down and eat dinner but he didn't eat but rather came and helped me find a new car and I was so impressed with that. He was a great salesman able to give me information on each car I was looking at and trying to find me the best vehicle that met my needs. He spoke clearly and was very friendly and helpful and I would return there and buy another car with him. He was thorough on the day picking up the car and made sure that I understood all about the car and made sure that the car was prepped correctly. My sales Manager Frank also was outstanding. He seemed honest and very helpful and personable and made the experience of buying a new car enjoyable rather than a headache. I would surely recommend others to this location and I already did so. I was very happy with my experience and Marco & Frank did a great job.

I appreciate all the work and time elvis spent with my parents and I helping us find a car, in the passaic location.This wasn't our first visit, and when we randomly stopped the first round, he also took care of us as well. I didn't have such of a good experience in another Honda, but his kindness and most importantly being really patient because i know my dad is not the easiest customer to deal with. After financing was done, ( by lydia who did a great and fast job ) and my dad wasn't happy with the price, before we left eddy took the time to talk to us and help us with a better deal that we could work with, trust me when i know he knows his stuff! i recommend anyone and everyone to go to the passaic location if they're looking for a new or used honda , ask for Elvis Pascual.

Would not go back here, not friendly to work with and we're not upfront and honest, all they cared about was getting my money and to purchase a car and would say whatever just to do that. The car I was purchasing wasn't even available for test drive my.sales person didn't even say much until after they took my credit credit to make a process deal which I didn't like the process on that I felt trapped and they made me say yes that I would purchase the car and give my credit card and took my keys to the lease I was returning before I got a direct price. I wasn't shown the featured of the car and the process was extremely long almost 7 hours that's extremely long even for purchasing a car and I even had an appointment and things didn't get started until an hour after I arrived. I wouldn't recommend the place or go back.

Had a great first car shopping experience. I immediately saw the car I wanted which was a Honda Accord but was a little hesitant about the price. Nonetheless Elvis and I took it for a ride and I loved it. When I look for a car I usually stray away from New Car Dealerships due to the negative statistics that one commonly hears about dealers. Furthermore I really did not want to get into too much debt with the lease. I recently leased a car from Garden State Honda and I have to rave about what a great experience it was. I have never had a more pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle and I have purchased several in my life. Everyone at the dealership was great but my salesman David Russo was outstanding. He answered all my questions, laid out all my options, and helped me choose the best deal for me. I already new what car I wanted but I wasnt sure whether to lease or buy and Dave was nothing but helpful in laying out the particulars of leasing, which I knew nothing about, without any bull or hard sell. Then when I returned my rental and the Rent-a-car store told me it was too late to give me a ride, he went the extra mile and picked me up and drove me back to the dealership. I have never had a salesman so personable and helpful. I would urge anyone buying a car in New Jersey to head over to Garden State Honda.

When I went to Garden State Honda I had no intentions of trading in my vehicle that day, I was going there for information only, but both Dave Russo and Gabriel Bueno made impossible for me to walk out without a new vehicle. They answered all my questions and never made me felt overwhelmed with all the options. They were also straight to the point about the whole ordeal which I personally like. We walked into the dealership just to "look" as my friend's husband works in the service department and recommended that we go there. Pedro Diaz greeted us in the showroom. He was pleasant, well informed and not at all pushy. He was very personable and able to answer all our questions regarding the CRV. We came to Garden State Honda to David Russo to lease a new Honda Civic on May 7th 2016 remembering how easy and enjoyable it was to negotiate a lease in 2013 with David. He explained to us all new features the 2016 Civic has, negotiation was very easy, we didn't feel any pressure and he guided us through entire process with great patience and wisdom. Manager Roland Polanco came to great us and help through entire process. Words cannot describe how pleased I am with my new car! Being that prior to this, I was caught in a HORRIBLE deal, I thought that there was no such thing as an honest and helpful salesperson. Boy was I wrong! Elvis guided me through every single step with such patience and wisdom. He was very well versed on everything from pricing to car specs and features and it was such an easy process to find what was best for me. When it came down to signing papers everything was explained to me and I was not rushed into anything. It was a VERY comfortable experience and everyone was so friendly. Elvis put together the perfect package for my budget. At the end he even explained some of the new features in the car and helped me set up my Bluetooth. I felt like I've owned the car for years with how well he explained everything. I was amazed at the fact that I even ended up paying less than what I thought I would. I have my dream car. Everything I wanted down to interior and exterior color. To top it off he gave me his business card and told me that if I have any questions to give him a call personally. I'm used to people giving me the run around. To think in the beginning I sat down and he just wanted me to describe my perfect car and I left in that exact car with a smile on my face? Unbelievable. I was thinking of trading in our car but wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do at this point in time. I met the sales rep, Elvis Pascual, who was very nice. Without putting any pressure on me, he answered all my questions, showed me the cars available within the range I was looking for, and took me out for a test drive. We couldn't come to an agreement the first day so I went home to think about it. I called him from home, letting him know what I needed to close the deal, and within minutes he let me we could move forward. I went back a couple of days later, and we closed the deal. During the process, Elvis and I got to know each other better, we even talked about our families and showed each other pictures of our kids. I can say that I feel like we became friends in two days. Not only was it nice to deal with Elvis, but even his manger Rolando Polanco was a nice. The girl who did the paper work. Maria Morales was also very nice. She was new at this position, but she fooled me because she was a real pro.

After leasing my first Honda Accord from Garden State Honda a couple of years ago, it was time for a new one. I came in and was sat down with Pedro early morning. My first time leasing, it was clear cut, but this time around - I wanted to make sure I was getting the best deal possible. I had made sure to speak with Emmanuel before coming in so he had an idea of what I was looking for, and he was ready for me when I came in. I absolutely loved my 2014 Honda Accord EX-L V6 coupe and even though downgrading to an EX was an option money-wise, after the test drive it was not the same. It was a long process but after a long day with Manny and Pedro, the job was done and I ended up getting more for less. I can't thank Pedro and Manny enough for the patience they had with my father and I. I live in Long Island now and make sure to drive to Passaic to continue my business with Garden State Honda. Emmanuel anziani was my go to guy when he was in sales and once he became a manager and I came back to get my car he introduced me to Elvis Pascual! He made it happen for me!! I have been purchasing vehicles here for over 1o years and will continue to return anytime we need a new car! Not only was he very involved with my journey on Leasing my first car but he went to extreme lengths on giving me so much information on my car and financial decision. I did a lot of research before purchasing my 2016 Honda Odyessy and by far the treatment I received from GSH was way above the rest. Mainly on the no BS approach (once we were able to break the ice). Don't let yourself be smoozed over by any other dealer. Approach Ahmir with your intentions and he will get you a good deal on the car you want. From the get go I asked for a quote by email, they responded by the next day. No other dealership came close with the response time, breakdown of pricing and Garden State didn't have any other callers ringing me every hour asking me the same questions. They took me seriously from the beginning. This meant a lot because every other dealer ran me through their protocol of call backs, senseless emails and fluffy gimmicks. Go with Ahmir, he is the real up real deal Holyfield!

I chose not to purchase a car at this dealership because it was the most uncomfortable car buying experience I had in my shopping. The entire time I was under pressure to purchase the vehicle at that moment, regardless of the number of times I said no. I had to fight to be offered a half decent deal and the 'accessory fee' is ridiculous. I purchased a 2016 Civic from Rt. 23 Honda. The sales associate there was fantastic. I was at no point pressured, I was given the bottom line deal the FIRST time which came in well below your offer and I was treated respectfully. I will not be visiting Garden State Honda again to either purchase or service a vehicle.

The sales person was receptive to our needs and made the process as smooth as possible. We had an issue where our car had a paint defect. The sales manager was quick to find us another model with the exact same specs. We had to do some of the paperwork over again but it was quicker than anticipated. It was my first time buying a car from a dealership and I was very nervous about buying one believing that I will be a customer that can be easily convinced to buy the newest car they have but Kevin understood what car I was looking and for what price as well. He let me explained to him that I all wanted was a starter car to get me from my home to work with no issues of a car breaking down as my previous car did. After he let me speak, which to me is very important because I want to be heard, he showed what he can do for me by selecting cars that will be within my budget and still be a great car. He showed me a 2013 Honda Civic and allowed to test drive so that I can hear and feel the car. The second I turned on the car I knew that this is the car that I want. He then explained to me the whole process and after it was done I happily agreed. Overall my experience was great I would highly recommend any buyer to see Kevin because he will treat them the same way as he did to me.

Over the years we have purchased many cars from various dealerships and have been mostly satisfied. The last 15 years or so we have been buying from Garden State Honda and in every case we were very pleased with our experiences. Our sales associate has been Jimmy D'Giorgio for the last few purchases and he has been superb in helping us choose the model and accessories. He has always been courteous, friendly, and professional. Manager Eric St.Hilaire was very helpful in our negotiations and arrangements for the purchase of our latest vehicle. Business Manager Daniel Solare was efficient, brief, and knowledgeable with processing the paperwork. Wayne Hall is the overall supervisor for this dealership and runs a great operation. The showroom and facilities were very clean and inviting. Five star rating isn't enough! Honda makes a great product and it's very comforting to know they have people of excellent caliber working for them. We definitely will be back and recommend them to all.

I hadn't planned to actually buy a car today; I had done some preliminary research and just wanted to take a look, and talk to a sales consultant. Mr. Gamble listened, and more importantly, heard what I wanted. I never felt pressured by him, and he was willing to work with what I was looking to pay. He explored all the options with me so that I felt comfortable making the decision to buy. He was thoroughly professional, and I would recommend him to everyone without hesitation. Jerry was amazing ! I told him exactly what I was looking into spending and what I was interested in. My experience with the dealer was great...the sales person I use aneudy was good. He was very understanding and had a lot Patience with my husband and I. His manager was great too I just forgot his name. Adel from finance was the nicest person I met he was kind with a lot patience because we couldn't decide lol. Overall I have to said the shopping experience was great. Towards the end of closing the deal I almost got upset because I was going to leave without my new car but they did everything to accommodate me which I think was impressive. I went to Honda yesterday afternoon trading in my 2008 Honda and left with my brand new white 2016 Honda Civic! The experience was absolutely amazing, from the greeting, to the process of finally being approved, to the end of me driving out the lot with my car. The employees there are sooooo helpful, beyond nice, funny & very knowledgeable of everything asked. A special thank you to Kerry, Mario and Zach! You guys are the BEST!! Was contacted immediately after making an offer on a used car. Lorenzo was great in scheduling a time for me to meet the location. Once there service was a bit slow as a sale was going on. After 30 mins, i went to tell the staff that i have been waiting for a long time, and i met Lorenzo. After meeting Lorenzo, i was helped out incredibly quicky by Diego. Diego worked hard in terms of finding ways to make my payments what i wanted. Overall Diego did a great job with helping purchase my used car. I was referred to Garden State Honda by my sister. And, when we went I had the pleasure to have Maria as my sales representative. First off she was very warm and friendly and ofcourse very professional. And, what I respect about her is that at the get go she was very honest. Came into the dealership just to get information, but they were so helpful we ended up purchasing the car. The only thing I don't like is the back and forth to negotiate the price and interest rate, I wish the industry wasn't like that. I went to a lot of dealerships this week and kevin was the only guy that was himself. Every other dealer had a mask on and just seemed like they wanted to make money. Kevin wasn't boring either it seemed like he wanted to help me out ASAP because of my last car breaking down. He was a great help and lowered the price down to our interest. We went to Garden City Honda initially to explore new cars. From the get-go, the Sales Consultant David Russo was professional dealing with us. Even though we told him that we were exploring and comparing cars, he dealt with us professionally (with full effort and enthusiasm). The managers were equally professional and helpful. We then went to few other dealers around but when we told them we were exploring, we didn't get the same level of attention. We went to Garden City the second time to refine our choices. We got the same level of attention as the first visit but the environment became more friendly and homely. We didn't make any decisions on that visit and went to few more dealerships for other vehicle brands. On our third visit, we were in 'deal' mode as we had done our researches and seen alternatives. We went to Garden State as our first choice knowing very well, if we didn't get the deal we wanted, we would go to our second and third choices for same/similar vehicle type. David and his managers worked patiently and diligently in getting us the right car with the right features at the best price. It was a win-win type of deal where we were comfortable and walked out feeling good about our purchase. The only negative was that it took nearly four hours to finally get the deal done. I believe it can be done quicker but it could be part of how car dealerships work in general. Upon completion of the purchase, vehicle handover was fairly smooth and professional too. I recommend Garden State Honda to anyone looking for a friendly and professional car buying experience.

I went into this dealership with little hope of leaving with a low cost used car and left with a brand new Honda Civic 2016 thanks to the dedication of the staff at Garden State Honda in Passaic. I bought a new CRV from the Passaic dealership this weekend, and have to say, i was amazed at how well the transaction went. The sales team went above and beyond to assure the deal met my needs. Gabriel Bueno and the team at Garden State Honda were fantastic. I'm not typically the type to buy a car from a dealer, but I found a great Certified Pre-Owned Honda Odyssey that was close to the price range that I was willing to pay. After test driving and discussing the car with Gabriel, I chose to think about it. Over the next two weeks I texted and called with Gabriel several times to make sure that I would get the best price on the car. Gabriel was always patient and responsive, he was proactive when he could be and at the end it was a very productive process. I would recommend Gabriel for his professionalism, for his understanding and knowledge, and for his patience. He knew when he had to say no and at the end, he was able to say yes. Garden State Honda is a great dealership. I came in and my car was already waiting for me in the front for me to test drive. Lorenzo walked me through the details of the car and got me a great price for it. I am still kind of in shock because this wasn't the stereotypical Used Car buying experience. Make sure you get Lorenzo, I am pretty sure there are comparable salesmen on the floor but I can't think of a better experience.

I went to Garden State Passaic Honda, in Passaic, NJ and I was very impressed. I first met Ms. Maria Morales and she quickly asked me what I was looking for. I shared my wish list in a car and she immediately showed me a handful of vehicles which me my overall criteria. I decided to purchase the Honda CRV 2013 with only six thousand miles. We took the car for a test drive and I was in heaven. It was smooth, clean and the sound system was incredible. From showing the inventory to completing my credit application everything went smoothly. I was able to leave my old car (1995 Nissan Altima) and drive away in a snippy Honda 2013 CRV. My fabulous girl friend recommended this dealership and she was on point. She, her family and friends have purchased automobiles from this establishment and have not been disappointed. Ms. Morales was extremely professional, knowledgable and sincere. Those are qualities which car salesmen and women should possess. A friend recommended me to Garden State Honda after she leased a new Honda Accord. I met with Lorenzo just to discuss leasing vs financing options. I left not knowing if car payments would be in my budget. I was at the dealership on River Drive in Passaic and decided that I wanted to test drive a Honda Fit. They didn't have one there at the time but had someone drive one over from their Clifton dealership just so I could test drive it. Everyone there that I talked to was friendly and polite, they offered me water and popcorn. I live in Manalapan NJ and travel to Clifton NJ for service at Garden State Honda because I have found David Marks, the service mechanic, to be the best there is, trustworthy, professional, just an excellent mechanic, does the repair once and it's fixed...I have had terrible experiences with a number of other Honda dealerships that are 20 minutes or 10 minutes from my house, and was recommended to go to Garden State Honda and only request David Marks, and it's been a number of years I've been going there and couldn't be more than satisfied....I bought a pre-owned certified Odyssey van from Academy Honda in Old Bridge, near me, as I said, I'm in Manalapan, and driving home the SRS airbag light came on; they fixed that, but that evening when I put the headlights on, the dashboard went completely black, couldn't drive...brought it back, fixed that, now the alarm didn't work...so over the year, I went to David Michael Honda, 10 minutes from my home, for service, the same thing, they fix one problem and created another...Sound familiar? I was recommended to go to Garden State Honda (which is a trip for me, but so well worth it) and request David Marks to service the car...It was the best move I've ever made...I have a friend who comes in from Rego Park, Queens, NY to Garden State Honda in New Jersey, and she also only requests David to service her car....She always tells me the repairs are beyond her expectations, couldn't be more satisfied...in fact, she ended up buying a pre-owned Accord through Garden State and has David Marks service it, and is more than happy....She also feels it is so worth the trip....no anxieties whatsoever knowing that David will do an excellent job, as he always does....Since my Odyssey is getting on in years, this Saturday I bought a CRV from Garden State (didn't want another Odyssey, don't like the styling that they did) I dealt with a salesperson named Gabriel Bueno...Absolutely no pressure, no rushing me, he answered all my questions with patience, went over all the features in the vehicle, it was a very nice experience dealing with Gabriel....I have bought many different vehicles over the years and have dealt with many salespeople, but Gabriel was the best....Also the sales manager, Johan Payero, was very accommodating, also answered whatever questions I had and the whole experience was totally anxiety and stress free...Sahtiekqua Knox was the financial person who prepared all the paperwork, was very professional, a lovely young lady...All in all, I have and will continue to recommend to all my friends and family, Garden State Honda, and especially David Marks for service, because of what I experience in doing business with them...They are by far the best! From my first step into the dealer I knew with Gabriel my problem would soon have a solution. He got right to it and made sure I was getting what was best for me. Usually in these dealers they want to push you to a car that they want to sell and not care if your going to be happy or not. Garden State Honda uses very creative approaches in order to offer you a new or used Honda. Now, some dealers would resort to unscrupulous or downright dishonest means -- anything in order to turn the deal. But, this is NOT part of Garden State Honda's agenda. They're honest folks, friendly, and they will do their best to help you into the lease or purchase of a new or used Honda.I have purchased two Hondas from them, so far. And I will purchase my next Honda from them, again! That says something....

This is my second time leasing a Honda, and both times David Russo was great, he was very helpful and both times he got me the car that I wanted, he also calls you a couple times a year to see if everything is OK with the car or if you have any questions. First person I met was the receptionist. She welcomed me to GSH. Then I met salesman Jose Arias.We sat down and he asked what I was looking for and from there he explained all options and went over any and all details. By the end of all our conversations he really did make me feel like I was part of a family and not just a dealership. Not only did Lorenzo approach us seconds after we got to the dealership he never made us feel like we were obligated to buy anything. I was very hesitant to get into a vehicle do to my poor credit rating but the team there made it happen. I went to many dealers and none would do anythinv for me. They kept telling to wait another day and when that day came there was just more waiting. When i came ro garden state honda they let me in even when they were about to close. The next day they gave me my car and with a full tank of gas. I was very pleased with the service at this dealership. Every single employee in the building is friendly and polite. I was glad to be referred to Lorenzo from another sales rep because he was genuine and put no pressure on me what so ever. I felt comfortable telling him what I was looking for and my financial situations and he listened. He explained my options thoroughly. I was with my 4 year old and Lorenzo went above to please her as well from drawing on balloons for her, giving her crayons with a coloring book to keep her busy all the way to walking her over to the vending machine so she could pick out whatever she wanted. Gabriel is hands down the best car salesman that I have ever worked with. He was friendly, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. Debbie was amazing as well. I recently bought a new CRV from Garden State Honda. The salesman, Jerry, was easy going and explained everything as we moved through the sales process. I didn't experience any of the infamous "pressure" that many other car buyers talk about. Granted, I knew exactly what I wanted, Jerry pointed out and explained some features that I wasn't familiar with and gave some good tips. So i decided to get a new car, my first car. I went to the honda dealership i clifton and they recommend i go to the one in passaic. I walked in and a guy named Elvis approached me. He referred us to a guy named Lorenzo because i guess he already had a client. When i first met Lorenzo he was so nice, shook my hand offered me a drink and sat me and my mother down at this desk. My first impression of him was that he was a genuine guy and i knew he would be a great fit for my honda guy. Me and my mother were there for almost 7 hours and i started getting discouraged and started thinking i wouldnt leave without a car which was the complete opposite of my plan. Lorenzo promised me that i would leave happy, and he came through with that promise. He sold me a 2015 honda civic lx and i am so in love. The entire time he made sure i was comfortable and his knowledge of everything i had questions for was impeccable. One thing i love about Lorenzo was that he didnt make me feel like he was trying to get rid of me. He made sure i got exactly what i wanted. I walked in wanting a honda pilot but i left with my honda civic and i couldnt be any happier. Its perfect. I love this dealership and the staff. Next time i want to purchase a car I'm definitely coming here and i am going straight to Lorenzos desk. He is the absolute best.

Went in there with the idea to buy a car ready for car and not sure what to do until we came across Kevin Juarez who took the time and patience with us to make us feel comfortable with our decision. We came across a vehicle we wanted but realized too much mileage but kevin went the extra mile to find us a better vehicle around the same price that we would end up liking. He showed true passion and professionalism In his job. He did not treat us as customers but instead as if we were his family, we were not forced or rushed into buying but instead we were taken care of from the first second we came across him and hands down give him a 5 out of 5 stars. I grew up in Clifton and my family lived there for many years. When they needed cars Garden State Honda was the place to go. When I moved back to New Jersey, I came to this dealership based on family loyalty. I was rewarded with great service and salesmanship delivered by David Russo. He hustles. He is a paperwork demon. And he is a good person. We have bought four cars now from David and I know we will be back for more. Honda is lucky to have someone like David. He represents the company very well. And of course, the Honda brand is still number one. Everyone we dealt with at Garden State Honda was courteous and helpful. You couldn't ask for more. My experience was very confusing.The part I found most confusing was that I had already looked up my credit score before going to the dealership and found out that my interest rate is expected to be around 9%, give or take, depending on the financing company. When they ran my credit, they gave me this crap about how my credit score is actually much lower than what I thought, my source was wrong, and Honda was going to only approve me for like 25%. Honestly, I believed him, freaked out a little, and started scrambling for a potential cosigner, but then, somehow, 15-20 minutes later, I got approved by Capital One for slightly less than the 9% interest...which is exactly what I was expecting in the first place. I really don't know what that was all about. Part of me thinks it was a way to get me to agree to anything offered after that (I came in saying my budget is no more than $300/mo, but I walked out with a car for $350/mo), but at the end of the day I walked out with exactly the rate I was expecting, so I can't really complain. It was just bizarre.I mean, I know what the car sells for, taxes and fee's included, and I know I could have gotten the car for a little less because it was a 2015 model, about a month before 2016 is supposed to be officially released (many places have 2016 already), but I didn't get an unfair offer either. I drove 2 hours to get the car in this particular color, which the dealer was aware of, so it's not like there was really much incentive to offer me any deals - they knew I came in expecting to drive out in my new car. I can't say I had an amazing experience, but Jerry was very attentive and professional, and I rarely hear that anybody has a particularly great experience. I'm sure any issues I experienced were not his fault. I like that he had my phone connected to the car's bluetooth before Ieft, answered all of my questions, and responded well to my concerns.

I went in for a service on my Honda 2004 but was greeted by Maria since the beginning and from then the conversation started and my husband and I ended up buying a new car. It was a pleasure dealing with Maria since the beginning. Her charisma is exceptional and I cannot complain. Maria definitely answered all our questions before we went ahead with search of a new car.the closing the deal was also smooth. Ms. Knox was wonderful, she did explained the reason why the interest on the loan is high as well as the monthly payments, she made us see the pros and cons of the loan and in the end closed the deal. Just a little note; Ms. Knox did not mind my kids being in the office searching in her candy making a fuzz. I apologized but of course her courteous self and with her smile Ms. Knox said not to worry about it. My wife and I went in to purchase our first vehicle and we came in with many questions and concerns. Lorenzo had an answer and solution for all of our uncertainties. We walked into Garden State Honda to see David Russo to lease a Civic LX for our daughter her only request was white. He was able to help us surprise her with the Honda EX with sunroof and alloy wheels for only a few dollars more than the previous dealership we were working with. He made everything so relaxed and easy for us. We were amazing that in a few short minutes we were working on the much nicer car and at the price range we hoped for it was like a dream! David is extremely patient and makes you very relaxed during your purchase!Debbie Breslin our finance manager was the most understanding woman we have ever had the pleasure to do business with! She helped us in so many ways during this process and it is truly appreciated!! She is extremely in tune with our customers needs and does whatever she can to be sure she does what makes you happy! I entered the dealership wanted to get a used car. But jerry presented other options that would be financially smarter. It made sense and we left that day because we needed to discuss with my father. Jerry called my house to see if we were still interested in purchasing. We went back a couple more times and after the third time we left with my new Honda Civic 2015! The service was so great and they worked well with what I was willing to spend. To be honest and realistic, we were not expecting to find everything that we were looking for at the price we got it for. This sales representative went above and beyond and got it for us. Today was my lucky day!! Lorenzo was great from the second I walked in with my mother. He welcomed us with a smile and a firm hand shake, right away I had a good feeling about what my experience with Honda was going to be like. I was not sure exactly what type of purchase I wanted to make, whether it was finance or lease. However, Lorenzo made it his business to guide me and provide helpful information regarding my options and programs available for me as a first time buyer with Honda. Not only did he get my hopes up, he followed through with his statement, when he said; "I will make sure you leave happy today". He took his time helping us and did NOT try to run our credit score as soon as we entered the dealership. I appreciated his humor and patience with my mother and I as we took our time to make a decision. Car shopping is exhausting and frustrating, especially when you walk into a dealership with overly aggressive sales people. This is the approach I encountered all day long until I walked into Garden State Honda. What a difference, it changed my mood completely around. When I initially walked into the dealership I wanted this whole process to be completed quickly, and it wasnt BUT the 4 hours I was their flew by so fast because it felt like I was spending time with family just catching up and having great conversation. Lorenzo made sure my needs were met and made sure I receievd the car I wanted. He is the salesman that are few and far between and we need more like him or better yet, we need to have Lorenzo train these other horribly trained sales people on how to give the customer experience! Gabriel was most professional and answered every one of my questions. He made this important car purchase a smooth, stress free event. There was an issue on my part with the trade-in as I would not be able to get the title however Gabriel was very understanding, spoke with his manager, and eased my worries saying it was "Ok" I could take back the trade-in with no hassles and both keep car price quoted and interest rate agreed upon. Ultimately I was able to produce the title for the trade-in and submitted the car to Honda. However the fact that Gabriel and this dealership were so willing to work with me in the event I could not produce the title was paramount to making this an "awesome experience". Elaine was also very helpful and expedited my car loan with the interest rate I requested with no hassles. I would strongly recommend this dealership to everyone.

This is my first Honda and thanks to the Garden State Honda staff, I will be a Honda owner for the rest of my life. My contact with the dealership began with Karina Camarena (Internet/Phone) - she was the personable "voice" of the dealership. I then went to the dealership and met with Deborah Breslin (Finance) and was referred to Amira Chaghlil (Management) - she was the professional "face" of the dealership. My Salesperson was Bishoy Fathalla - he was the "customer service" of the dealership. Bishoy patiently sat with me and answered all my pre-sale questions. He then sat with me again in my 2016 Honda HR-V and showed me how to use all the options and electronics. My husband and I were on a search for a car going between Honda and Toyota dealerships. We sat down with at least 8 sales people trying to negotiate what we thought was a fair deal. We hated the way the whole process went and in the end my husband always ended up irritated and combative. We met John at Garden State Honda and through the course of the conversation I saw my husband more at ease and ready to put down his boxing gloves. John has an amazing personality, knows his business, and has an honest quality that puts you at ease. He is no nonsense and will give you direct answers to all your questions. The first time I got a Honda was 7 years ago, I got it from Garden State Honda, and it was a great experience. Now that I wanted to get another Honda, I went back to them, and the experience was as nice as it was the first time. What I like about this place is that the sales people respect your space, and do not stalk you since the moment you get out of your car when you arrive. As soon as I got out of my car, Elvis Pascual was there to greet us. He spoke Spanish so he was able to speak to my parens instead of me having to translate which was awesome. He made me feel very comfortable, he found exactly what I asked for. I feel like he went out of his way and beyond to help me get the car I wanted. Lydia was amazing from start to finish. I had received an e-mail about Garden State Honda so I gave it a shot. When I came in, I had no idea what I wanted. Lydia took the time to give me all my options and really put the effort into seeing what was best for me. This led me to a 2012 Honda Civic Coupe Ex-L. After getting rid of a car that was giving me trouble I finally decided to go to get a more reliable car. Lydia Torres helped me weigh my options and was very sweet about helping me choosing the more realistic car. I love my 2012 Civic. Every so often I'll get an email or even a call from her checking up on the car situation which gives her and the dealership an A+ in customer service. They also have bagels and coffee downstairs while you wait for car services or simply just signing for the car. Garden State Honda and Lydia Torres are the best dealership experience we've ever had!

I had the pleasure of leasing a 2015 Honda Pilot EXL with Navigation from Garden State Honda in Clifton NJ. I was greeted with a pleasant smile as soon as I walked in the door. I was not bombarded by salespeople hovering over me watching my every move. I walked around the showroom without any pressure. When I was ready to speak to a salesperson I was then introduced to John Mitchell. He was pleasant and sincere from the moment he shook my hand. I dreaded this process and told John that I did not want the back and forth all day between him and his manager. I was trading in a 2009 Pilot that I owned and was still making payments on. I was obviously looking for the best deal possible on my trade in. Inside of 1 hour John went over all the options, answered all of my questions, and made suggestions on how I could SAVE money leasing a 2015 Pilot. After a very short negation with his manager on my trade in John gave me exactly what I requested and was able to drive the Pilot home the same day!! I never felt pressure or like I was being persuaded to buy something I didnt want or need. Thank you John and the team at Garden State Honda for making it such a pleasant experience for me. I received an email offer from Michael Bailey from the Internet department that got me interested in looking at CRV leases. Michael met me at the door and led me to Bryan Gamble. Bryan took the time to show me the CRV, take it on a test drive and explained the vehicles features to me. Once I decided that I liked the car, Debbie Breslin crunched the numbers to make the deal happen at a price that I was comfortable with. Fred Nieves sealed the deal with the paperwork when I came back the next day after thinking about the lease, and John Mitchell was helpful and friendly to myself and my family while we were waiting to finish the deal.
