Very pleased with my service. We went in at our scheduled appointment to have our passenger airbag replaced because of a recall. Tatone Thompson was very friendly and she was very fast to get us in and out of there in no time. We went in expecting 1.5h-2h to complete the airbag so my daughter and I walked to the park down the street while we waited. Within a hour mrs. Thompson called letting us know our airbag was complete and we were ready to go. When I walked back in she was very quick to greet me with my receipt and keys. She was also very helpful when I told her I needed to have the oil changed and told me we could set up the appointment right away. Great service

I brought my car in to have a tire replaced. While I was waiting for UPS to deliver it, the shuttle service took me to the restaurant of my choice to pick up something to eat. Latone kept me apprised of where we were in the process the entire way. It was a great experience.

Scheduled my recall service via the Honda Owner's website - very easy and efficient. Received an email with an appointment within 24hrs. Service department was simple and easy to work with wrt times and early drop off for the appointment. Ms. Thompson notified me immediately when the work was complete - even a bit earlier than expected. I'll be returning to Gary Smith for all my Honda needs.

I am the proud owner of a 2017 Honda Accord. At about the time I got up to 1200 miles on my new Honda, the navigation system quit working. My heart was broken because I was about to leave for New Orleans and I really needed the navigation to be working. I took the car back and thanks to the service department and Latone, my new car is good as new again with a brand new navigation system Latone took good care of me and made sure everything was done in time for my trip. Thanks again to the fine folks at Gary Smith Honda.

Trish is the epitome of what you hope to find in a car salesperson. I dreaded the car buying experience, but she made it a great experience! She is extremely patient, upbeat, always available, and really cares about the customer. I went in several times and test drove several models to decide on the best car for me. She listened to what I needed, never tried to push me to make a decision, and was always glad to see me come in. She helped me find exactly what I needed at the right price and even added extras to the deal that I did not ask for!!! I took my car in 10/12/16 for a noise in the rear of the car,a few hours later I get a call telling me I need a new transmission and a rear end leak, they wanted $3000.00 for the transmission and $400.00 for the leak. SO I BRING THE CAR JUST DOWN THE ROAD TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW THE MECHANIC TELLS ME THEIRS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THERE IS NO LEAK. IT WAS ONLY THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL A $150..00 FIX AND THE SOB CHARGED ME $250.00 JUST TO LOOK AT IT AND GOT IT WRONG!!! WHEN I WENT BACK TO TELL THEM ABOUT IT THEY GAVE NO MONEY BACK NO DISCOUNT NOTHING. JUST EXCUSES AND ACTED LIKE THEY DID NOTHING WRONG.NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN.$250.00 JUST TO LOOK AT IT THATS JUST NOT RIGHT.

I've purchased multiple Hondas from this dealership. I have purchased my last 4 Hondas from Trish Kaltenbach. I continue to buy from Gary Smith (to stay local) because they typically match competitors' prices and it keeps the local economy up. The whole team from Trish to finance has always been great, regardless of who has been in finance. On another note: being from Texas originally, then in Florida, I am glad to see dealerships allowing their salespeople to wear shorts. It just relays a relaxed "down-to-earth" tone that they are real people, no different than the customers that come in there. A happy group of employees makes for a productive group of employees, I'm guessing. Gary Smith Honda is also a very clean dealership, inside and out.

I would like to commend Trish Kaltenback for her superb and dedicated customer service skills. I always buy my cars from her, but every time the treatment gets better and better, which indicates that she repeatedly and continuously exercise the same customer service skill. From the paperwork to all the technical information on new gadgets in your car, she covered all--within reasonable amount of time, wasting no time on the customer side. I haven't bought a new car -- just me -- since 1978, and my first and only lease experience was a complete disaster...swore I'd never do it again...but Trish at Gary Smith Honda made my leasing experience 180 degrees in the opposite direction...I have a new 2016 Honda Accord and a completely different outlook on the process of acquiring a new car...Joey Tedder also made the paper-signing quick and easy...not only would I recommend this dealership, but I would recommend Trish without hesitation... :-)

Mike Martino was just the best car salesman we have worked with in a long time. He met us at the door, we told him we wanted to drive a Pilot and his knowledge of this vichele for only being at this dealership for four weeks was so impressive. We knew that he had the ability to teach us and sell us our new vichele. Remember we were just test driving and didn't go with the intention of buying that day. We test drove a black one but would not ever own a black car. So as we drove back to return the vichele he said let me check because I think they got one delivered off the truck last night. Well there was one and the color a pearl white. The interior was perfect. So we sat and nigoasiated the price and traded in our Tahoe. From the time I walked into the dealer ship to the time I drove out with my new car I was treated as though I was the only person in the dealer ship.I inquired on the internet to many different dealer ships. Jeffery Mckasson was the nicest person I spoke with. I had inquired on several different sites but Jeff was the first one to say come on in and we will get you a car. I was concerned with keeping to my budget and thought he would be like the rest and just get me a car and not take my budget into consideration. I got there a little late for my appointment. He was with another customer but still came over gave me a few keys to some cars and told me to get in the cars and check them out. I was impressed with the fact that I was late for the appointment but yet he still made sure that I was well taken care of. He was not pushy or intimidating. He listened to what my needs were and worked hard to meet them. Bottom line is I bought the car with everything I wanted and stuck to my budget. There was absolutely no stress on my end. Buying a car has always been stressful to me but not this time. It was actually a great experience. I will be going back to Gary Smith Honda in Fort Walton Beach Florida for my next car and will be recommending them to friends and family in the future. Thanks Jeff for restoring my faith and showing me that buying a car does not have to be stressful and treating me as though I was the most important person there.

My husband and I were impressed with the overall experience and would buy there again in a heart beat. Sales Manager Mark Marsteller is top notch and went over and above the call of duty to correct an issue we had with our initial purchase. We traded in an Acura for a new Accord so now that Jeremy Cameron has moved over from Acura to Honda as the Service Mgr we couldn't be more thrilled!! Bought 2007 Odyssey from Trish 9 years ago. Decided it was time to trade and wanted to downsize. Bought 2016 CRV Touring from Trish and company. Offer from Mark made me happy so traded. Also, upfront was Ryan Painter who explained extra stuff. Drove the CRV for about 2000 miles but after driving a van for 9 years went back to Honda and got an offer from Mark to trade for an Odyssey. Which I did. Same outstanding people. Ryan was able to transfer stuff from CRV to Odyssey. Trish is a mover and shaker. Always willing to help and visit if not busy. Still got birthday and Christmas card from her for 9 years. Outstanding group of professionals with no pressure whatsoever.

On May 19, 2016, I took our new 2015 Honda Odyssey in for its first scheduled maintenance consisting of an oil and filter change and tire rotation. Ms. Latone Thompson was courteous and professional and after one hour, I was told the the servicing was finished. But approximately one month later, I noticed liquid leaking from underneath the engine compartment forming a puddle in our garage. It had been raining heavily so we thought it may have been water. After a closer look, I discovered engine oil leaking from around the Honda oil filter. Also, the oil was below the low mark. I quickly called the Gary Smith Honda dealership Service department. Ms. Latone Thompson answered and since it was near closing time, she scheduled a tow truck for the following day. If I had not noticed the oil leak, the engine would have ran out of oil. The only reason I am not giving the Service department one star is because Ms. Thompson was so helpful and responsive. We will see how this goes tomorrow.

We went to Gary Smith Honda to possibly purchase a new CRV Touring SUV and was met out front by Trish with a big smile and a can do attitude. We requested a test drive of the 2016 touring CRV and fell in love with it. We were introduced to Mark and ended up suggesting trading two vehicles in on the CRV, one of which was a 2003 CRV that we purchased from Gary Smith and the other was a pristine 2013 Buick Lacrosse. Then they suggested we take the CRV home for a couple days and leqve our 2013 Buick Lacrosse. This allowed me and my Spouse to agree this was the vehicle we wanted. Mark made us a Fair offer on the trade and we accepted. Trish had the vehicle detailed and she went over all the bells and whistles on the car and there is a lot of them.

Best dealership and people I've ever dealt with. Great customer service. Clicked the get estimate button on the website and got back a email the next morning with a pretty good price. Then nothing, which is a compliment. No continual pestering or trying to talk about more expensive models. Just here's our best price. Well ok, we negotiated a little bit after I called Kris and got an even better deal. I'm don't remember the finale guy's name but he was great too. Then while we're closing Kris shows back up with some of the best boiled peanuts we ever had and emails me the recipe the next evening! Great cars and great service. Just down right good folks!!

Dad is 80 and hated to part with his 10 year old Honda, but he gave it to a friend in need. So we took him to Gary Smith and had great service, great pricing and friendly atmosphere. He is now ready for his second childhood. With the new safety features and free scheduled maintenance and extended warranties, maybe this one will last another 10 years. Ran into kids I coached in little league working at the dealership and they have grown up to be fine young men! We will buy all of our cars at this dealership in the future.

Best dealership by far in this area. I went to multiple dealerships while my husband was deployed and no one seemed to take me seriously except Jeff with this dealership. He and his manager gave me straight prices and great customer service. My husband returned and went right in and got the van. Never had the typical number game and the customer service was great the entire time. We took it back to add optional parts and the service department was great there as well. WHEN CAR WAS HANDED BACK TO US WE NOTIC THAT THE PAINT WAS BURNED DO TO EXCESS POLISHING BUFFERING DETAIL ON SPECIFIC SPOT MAKING PAINT BAD. The last time I took my Honda accord into Gary smith, they had to jump the battery because it died, when I asked why it died, because that's not normal, they couldn't give me an answer. Turns out my batter terminals were extremely corroded because I live and work near salt water, and they didn't tell me, nor did they clean them. One other time I was there, the servicing technician failed to print and fill out the service sheet that shows the status of my battery, tires, etc. so the service liaison printed one and filled it out right in front of me, as if he had done the work or knew himself that everything was good. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

My wifes honda had 2 yellow maintance lights on dash. just came off the interstate monday.1 indicated a possible leak in tire, 2nd light said issue with the tire sensor system. made an appointment for drop off yesterday, when I arrived, explained issues to Ryan..he took the car back. before I could get a shuttle to work, he re-appered and said pressure in all 4 tires was 28lbs, too low, triggered light on dash. I had a "free oil change" at Nissian dealership next door. the checklist says the " checked tire pressure ", he asked my permission to run car next door and have nitogen put in the tires to proper level! "sure ", I said. Ryan had this done and me out the door to work before I could schedule a pick up and drop off with shuttle driver! Outstanding customer service! all at " no charge " I mightr add! This is my 4th Honda overall, always used Gary Smith honda service for all of these cars, and always will! Thank you

RUN, do not WALK from this dealership. Took advantage of their oil change special that was mailed to me. When we picked up the car the battery was almost dead,although the repair slip showed that the battery was checked OK. The excuse that was given to us was that the flashers were on a bit too long. When the car finally started we were told to drive the car and it would re-charge the battery.The car had to be jumped the next morning in our driveway by a neighbor and 2 more times by the same neighbor at a total cost of $55.00. No one has returned my phone call or e[mail. Simply said, a bad experience with their service dept.

After the A/C went out in our Honda Odyssey, my wife called Gary Smith Honda in FWB after getting the run around from a Honda dealer in Pensacola, and she spoke with Steve Shea (service advisor) who said that even though they were busy, he would work her in that day -- bring it right over! He also looked up the warranty while on the phone to let her know that it was still in force. Once she arrived, he showed great empathy (he said, "I wouldn't want my wife to go a week without A/C in her car.") They took a look at the A/C and fixed it that day. It wasn't under warranty because it was caused by a road hazard affecting the compressor, but $700 later, at least it was fixed. Great job, Steve!

Latone Thompson (and Steve Shea) is both consummate professionals as service coordinators. I've never had anything but positive interactions with both over the years. That said, two service visits ago the mechanic left his screwdriver in the engine compartment of the car, which I of course returned. This last service visit, Feb 7, brake and steering fluids were changed, in about 40 minutes, and we were charged $215/hour for labor! The actual charge was $158 for 45 mins of actual time in the mechanic's hands. Drove the car and upon trying to use the windshield washer found the pump to be disconnected from the lines to the spray heads. Tried to reconnect myself but line is too short. Clearly the mechanic, in his haste, failed to put the washer lines back as they belong. Waiting on management to see how they resolve this complaint.

When we purchased our car a year ago I was a little leary of the price. The car was pretty expensive for being almost 6 years old but we were assured that it had a flawless maintenance record. We had to have all the tires replaced within 6 months and the brakes completely redone--at which time we were told some of the brake components were completely rusted together. Our mechanic said it looked like someone tried time fix it but after realizing how badly rusted it was they just put it all back together.

Went in for a Timing Belt service on Saturday morning at 0830 when the service department opened. Latone Thompson, the Service Advisor, was very friendly and welcomed me and asked if I needed any help. I told her why I was there and she wrote me up and gave me an estimate of when the vehicle would be ready (3pm). Ms. Thompson calls me at 449pm to let me know the car is ready, my wife and I get to the dealership at 505, I start walking towards Ms. Thompson, as I am doing this Kelly Thielman, the cashier, very rudely says "they've been closed for 15 minutes", my wife was behind me and sees that she rolled her eyes at me. My wife lets her know that we just got called and came in as soon as possible, the cashier exhales and says "fine what's your last name". No "hello", no "how can I help you", she was rude the whole time. This was not the first time that we have dealt with this cashier. The last time I went in for a service for my distributor and had to check out with her, she was rude that time as well. She never greats you, never says have a good day. My wife has checked out with this cashier on her own as well and it was the same experience. My car always turns out great but I wish I didn't have to check out with KELLY THIELMAN! If it wasn't for her I would rate Gary Smith Honda with a 5.

I went in for routine service on my Honda Civic because a code was showing on the dash (A 13). I was informed it was an oil change, transmission fluid change and tire rotation. Since the tires were well worn I requested a price quote. The price was $100 less than Goodyear had told me, so I bought the new tires from Gary Smith Honda. I mentioned to Brad that my sun visors were broken. He said that the warraty had been extended on the visors and he had them replaced for free. It was a very good day for me because all the work was completed quickly (less than three hours) and I ended up paying less than $600.

I was vacationing in the area and had a warranty issue on my vehicle. Jeremy Cameron set up the appointment and ordered the part. He was polite and helpful. I called and left a message with Brad Morrison to confirm the time but he never called back. When I arrived the paperwork was not ready. After the service was complete, no one took time to explain what was done. Also, prior to arriving I noted that my fluid levels were low but none was added during the visit. I understand that I was from out of town and most likely will never be back, but there is a certain level of service that I expect from Honda.It was not met during this visit.

This is the second time that Trish has worked with us. Without a doubt she is a true professional and makes car leasing almost seem like fun. Visiting Fla. from Ct and had a recall service that needed to be performed. Have used this dealership before- very professional, friendly and customer focused. Received a text reminder notice (great idea) and everything was handled. Also warnt to mention a salesman named Jeff H. who took the time to show us the new CRV even though we will probably be getting it in CT in the spring. He knew that but still walked us through all the new features and answered our questions. A truly exceptional dealership experience.

Steve Shea was wonderful in helping me have my Honda serviced. He was very courteous and made my visit very pleasant. I had my oil changed and tires rotated and I also explained to him the problem with my driver's side window. I was not looking forward to having the driver's side window repair done because it is so difficult to not have transportation. I work a very demanding full time job and my husband owns a business where he can't get away to drive me around. Mr. Shea was able to order the part and get me in on the very next business day to have the repair done. I had explained to him that I was off the following day and it would make my life much easier to be able to have it completed that day. He had my vehicle repaired in about an hour. I was very happy to have everything done and knew that I would not have the inconvenience of being being without my car.

Do not go elsewhere for your vehicle purchase! Gary Smith Honda is the best in the business, and you will not be disappointed! We got a great deal on our brand new Honda Ridgeline, but we were most floored by how wonderfully we were treated by our sales people Jeff Halthause and Doug Canton. We have used their great service department for routine maintenance on my CR-V that I had bought before we moved to Florida. So we contacted Gary Smith about a new Honda Ridgeline that they had in stock and had been in email communications with Jeff about it. He sent us a great price on the Ridgeline and we then decided to come in person and check it out. Jeff even came in on his day off and showed us the car and answered all of our questions and was so helpful. He had another customer in at the same time as us (obviously others know Jeff is great and that Gary Smith Honda is a great place to buy from, too!) So he introduced us to Doug Canton who was also fantastic from the internet sales department to help us out with remaining questions and possible purchase. We were always taken care of from the moment we walked in, and there was always someone available to help! It is a team effort there, Doug knew all the background and our communications with Jeff already so no time was wasted in repeating or going over any of the same things. We had also been in contact with several dealers and Gary Smith Honda was the first dealership we decided to visit in person- and they became the last. (They were also the friendliest in communications leading up to going in in person, so that helped put them first on the list of places to go :) We initially planned to go into to each of the dealers, but Gary Smith offered such a great price, that even though we were not planning on buying the car that night and had planned on waiting till the end of the month to make our final decision after going to all of the dealers we contacted- we DID end up buying it that night after talking with Jeff and Doug because of the great price they gave us and the incredible sales department experience. It doesn't get better than this people! Car buying is not meant to be this relaxing and enjoyable- but at Gary Smith IT IS! My husband and I were really stunned at how wonderfully we were treated from beginning through email communications through the very end of the purchase. And they graciously stayed past closing time to finish it all up for us too! (We had to come in later in the evening because my husband is in a military training school and can't get out early). Once we signed on the car we went over to the finance department to see Mike the Gator who was great and made a lot of paperwork really fun :) He also did a really great job explaining and breaking down all of the numbers so I (someone who is mathematically challenged) could understand it. Doug did that as well for us during the purchasing part, we really appreciated him breaking down every number individually- there are no math tricks or hidden extra cost$ at Gary Smith that you have to worry about at all, this dealership is as straight up as they come! Mike showed us all of our options for extras and never pushed us into anything we didn't need. My husband decided he really wanted to add on the 7 year Honda Care program and is very happy with his decision to do so, and the piece of mind it provides him. Mike broke down for us that the Honda Care really only added about $1 a day to the life of the loan, and the free towing, tire fixing, electronics repair and more was worth it to my husband, and because of the great deal we got at Gary Smith, we were able to and felt good about adding it! He also stayed WELL after closing time with us while the rest of the lights were out to finish it all up since the only time we could come was after my husband was out of work and close to closing time! It is all around greatness at Gary Smith, don't waste your time going anywhere else!! We are so thankful and won't forget our wonderful experience with them in buying the Honda Ridgeline, which my husband LOVES. We have always been sold on Honda's and, now we are sold on Gary Smith!

Latone's customer service is outstanding! I had a problem deciding when I could bring my car in due to my busy work schedule. Bought this "Honda certified" used car and in the six months I have owned it it has been in for over 600dollars of maintenance not covered by the warrantee or caught during the certification process....like bad tires, transmission, brakes, things I find important....I got a bad deal and I would not buy another Honda or recommend it to anyone....

We are very happy with it and it was everything Mr. Buchman stated!! He showed us all the features in great detail and answered any and all questions we asked! The 0o.9% loan rate is unbelievable and the friendly hospitality by both Mr. Bachman and the Loan Officer were absolutely supurb!!!!!!!!!!! We drive over 60+ miles to have service done at Gary Smith Honda even though there is a dealership in Panama City closer to our home in Panama City Beach.Almost all of our interactions with Honda of Panama City have been unpleasant, right from the time we purchased a vehicle from them. As an example, I was told an appointment was not necessary to have an oil change done on my Accord. When my husband and I arrived at their dealership for this service, we were told there was a 4 hour wait! We left without the service being done and haven't been back since. You can tell when employees like their jobs. It is evident in their attitude and demeanor and in the quality of the work performed on your vehicle. The employees at Gary Smith Honda are friendly and genuinely concerned about our needs as well as our vehicle's. I took my '01 Honda Accord in for a recall notice. A part for my airbag had to be ordered but came in very quickly. When I went in for the scheduled service, the service reps were very friendly and made me feel comfortable and welcome. The appt took less than an hour and I liked that they checked other areas of my car while it was in the shop (tire tread wear, tire pressure, brake pads). Overall a great visit with courteous staff! I will definitely visit again when it's time to upgrade to a newer Honda.

I do not enjoying shopping for new cars. I email shopped in 6 states for a Odyssey. I wanted a specific color exterior and interior with navigation. I shopped price an total cost with about 12 dealerships in the 6 states. Marty gave me the complete price when I asked with a signature guarantee. My van was ready and waiting for me just like I was told with all extra we had agreed on. All paper work with complete just as we had agreed via our emails. I drove home happy as a clam. Worried about licence fees ext. however the dealership responded promptly to my email and provide all necessary paperwork in a timely fashion to the tag office. My experience was very pleasant! I will definitely email Marty the next time I am in the market for a new vehicle. Alicia

My husband had to work late the evening we wanted to purchase our vehicle, and these associates stayed late to accomodate us. They were very helpful and helped us make the cash purchase we wanted, along with a fair trade for our car. Also, we had our two young daughters with us; they enjoyed the children's play area and we were impressed that the associates helping us also interacted with them.

Latone has been my service representative since 2004 and she has always given me excellent advice and makes my visit very enjoyable - even when I have to wait. She also alerts me to recalls on my 2002 Honda and overall is a great representative for Honda and service departments everywhere. Just wish there was a Honda dealer in Crestview where I live. Quite a drive to have my Honda serviced, but well worth it.

My wife and I initially went to Gary Smith Honda to view their pre-owned inventory. , we were looking for a Gray 2008 Honda Accord (sedan) EXL with dark leather and a sun roof. Although there were many vehicles on the lot we were unsuccessful at finding our car. Upon seeing our disappointment, Jose asked if we would like to test drive a 2011. we accepted. My wife fell in love with the car. We returned on Memorial Day and negotiated a great deal. I have heard that Pensacola is the place to buy a new car, not any more! We got the car that we wanted at the price we wanted and received 0.9% financing to boot. Gary Smith Honda treated us like family, fed us at their BBQ and made my Memorial Day weekend the best EVER!!! We will definitely go back to buy our next vehicle. Sincerely, George and Juana

Gary Smith Honda has been wonderful to us since we bought our CR-V from them about 18 months ago. We love our Honda, but I have two regrets about the purchase and the CR-V itself. I wish that I had had the automobile's windows tinted to allow for the Florida sun, and I wish that I had pursued some sort of bike rack/hitch combination before I drove the car off the lot. This dealership has been wonderful, but I wish that I had been a bit more proactive before my purchase. I love the car, and the people at Gary Smith Honda have been wonderful!

I did not want to buy a new car. However, because my car was totaled, I did not have a choice. I went to many dealerships to look at vehicles and I was tired of dealing with the same old "car dealer" mentality. I called and spoke with Tim Washburn and was very frank about my situation (and probably was even somewhat rude). Tim handled me very well over the phone and convinced me to come in. I was happy that I went to Gary Smith Honda to meet with Tim because he was very kind, helpful, and changed my perspective on "car dealers." He was not pushy and even helped me feel like he was my advocate. I was happy to buy my Acura TSX at Gary Smith Honda because of Tim Washburn and his service to me. He followed up with me after I left the first time, but again was not pushy. If only the world could have more car salesman like Tim. I came in a grumpy young woman who was tired of looking for a car and left a very satisfied costumer who felt like I got a good deal and was treated very well!!!

Trish gave me a very good rate on a new lease with a trade-in on a Honda Pilot and could not have been more helpful or easy to deal with. It was a hassle-free experience and VERY appreciated. I turned in a clean vehicle with low mileage, and resale should be a cinch. Especially appreciated Rayce Radcliffe and his straightforward, honest explanations which ended up saving me money and informing me of facts I never knew about leasing. I brought my car in without an appointment. The service I recieved was prompt and courteous. The repairs needed were quite expensive but Steve, the service adviser, noted that 1 repair was covered under warranty even though the car is 9 years old. The warranty coverage made my cos much more reasonable. I have not been to this dealership for years because of some bad experiences with them. This time I had to go to the dealer and I was pleasantly surprised.Steve kept me apprised with phone calls of how the service was going and provided pertinent details.When I payed my bill recieved an easy to understand and comprehensive description of the work done and the items that were inspected with an easy to understand rating of the condition of those items (brakes, tires, battery, exaust, fluids, etc...).I am pleased with the service and the treatment I received and I am reconsidering my decision to stay away from the dealership.

I had a wonderful experience here. I pulled up and someone (Ryan Painter) was there to greet me immediately. Although I told Ryan that I was not planning on purchasing that day and I was not sure of exactly the vehicle I wanted, he showed me a variety of vehicles in the price range I gave him. He showed me all the deatails of each vehicle, let me test drive, and was very curteous. I drove a vehicle that I really liked and they agreed to hold it off the market for me for a deposit so I could come back later. All of this for a customer who said they weren't going to even make a purchase that day! I then checked around at several other dealerships, most of which didn't have as friendly of service. I ended up going back to Honda that night and purchasing the vehicle. I came right around closing time and even though I'm sure they wanted to get home, the were very patient with me and we completed the sale that night. Since then, I have bugged Ryan several time with questions and he is always friendly. He has never made me feel like I was a bother. And by the way, I love the vehicle they sold me! I have had it for about a month and it is my favorite vehicle that I have owned so far!

First I want to say that I believe in the product (i.e. Honda automobiles). So the difference for me is in the experience with the dealership. I have dealt with both Gary Smith Honda and their most local competitor, Pensacola Honda. I received a quote from both for a new Odyssey in 2009. The difference between the two dealerships was Pensacola Honda reneged on their offer once I went to the dealership to consume the contract but Gary Smith Honda was most forthcoming in respecting all their commitments to me by phone and I was even able to negotiate a most attractive allowance for my old Honda. Trish, the sales consultant, was competent. I dealt with her directly and she had authority to commit to a price without having to consult with someone higher in her chain of command before telling me a yes or no on my offers. The service is impeccable. When I took my automobiles there for routine maintenance and service they carefully searched for any additional company information on additional service items published by Honda. When I took my vehicles to Pensacola Honda I was aware of a recall on the VSA system and a minor modification to the computer control system for the engine. Upon leaving I asked about whether these operations were performed on my vehicle and was told by the service manager himself that if it is not directly safety related they do not voluntarily perform these. My service advisor Latone is like a family friend. She is professional and the model of customer service. Training videos could be generated from her job performance. She is upbeat, happy, and comfortable when dealing with virtually every type of customer. When a service department generates that kind of customer confidence they secure for the company a permanent client that will keep returning to investigate additional products.Gary Smith Honda is the best Honda dealership in the U.S.A.!

Went in for an oil change on 2/23/2011. Talk to a service adviser about some damage that was done to the vehicle. He stated that it looked like it was about $700 worth of work and suggested I take it to the Gary Smith Ford Collision Center to get the work done.Afterward, the other service adviser handed my keys to the service tech and he sped off to the service bay across the lot.I stepped outside to use the phone and I notice the service tech backing my car up pretty rapidly. Meanwhile, another tech driving a new Honda Pilot is honking the horn and yelling for him to stop. I thought to myself, no way is he going to back into that other vehicle. After all, the front driver and passenger windows were down in my car. He should be able to hear.To my dismay, the driver of my car smashed into a new Honda Pilot. As soon as he had the opportunity to get around the other vehicle, he sped off to the service bay.Before I knew it, the service adviser that told me there was about $700 worth of damage rushes over to assure me that "everything looks the same" and that there was "no additional damage done to the car as a result of the crash" that I just witnessed.I immediately call my insurance and await for someone in a position of authority at Gary Smith to speak with me about the situation. No one talks to me and all I can get is a business card for the service director while being told, "You didn't get this from me."I call back the next day and speak with the general manager Mark to express my concern with the situation and let him know that I'll be in to talk with him the following day. He takes my information and says he'll look into it.The next day I get a call from Wayne Owens, the service director, and he immediately starts to accuse me of trying to get one over on them and trying to get my car fixed for free. I assure him that that is not what I want. I just need to exchange insurance information just like people normally do when there is an automotive accident.Mr. Owens continued to insinuate that I was trying to get over on them and refused to share any information about the incident. He raised his voice and used some choice words to tell me that he would not cooperate. I said "Fine. Let's let our insurance handle this.!" He agreed and said that sounds like a good idea.Now all I know is, it is over 2 weeks later and my insurance company still does not have the insurance information from Mr. Owens and he refuses to exchange that information.Mr. Owens seems to believe that the crash his service tech caused did not damage my car any more than it already was. How can the damage go from $700 all the way up to $1700 if they did not cause any more damage to my car? Sure it was added on top of damage that was already there. I did not lie to my insurance and say that my car was perfect before taking my car there. But isn't that a moot point? I feel from how fast the tech was backing up, the way it sounded, the way the other vehicle looked, and the way the service tech reacted, that the crash would have still resulted in $1700 worth of damages even if the car was in perfect condition.I have talked to 5 different people about this and they each keep passing the buck, one to the other, even to someone I've never heard of and have not directly spoken to that was "handling it."I guess the rules don't apply to "big business." If I were to back into someone on the street, I would have to exchange insurance information with the other driver or else I could be cited for a hit and run, regardless of the condition of my car before doing so. It is then up to the insurance companies to decide what action they want to pursue.If you take your car to the dealer and they crash your car into another vehicle, they obviously don't have the same responsibility as "normal" people.So far my experience with the service department at Gary Smith Honda can be summed up with 3 words: unprofessional, careless and over-insolent.

We went to Gary Smith Honda to purchase a used Honda Pilot. The experience could not have been better. Our salesman, John Wright, was a true professional. He never tried to push us into a sale, instead we had a conversation about our needs and he helped us make a good decision that benefited us. The finance manager, Rayce, was equally as helpful. He made the financing process quick and easy and it never seemed as if he was pushing anything on us. I would recommend the people at Gary Smith Honda to anyone looking to make a car purchase and want to be treated right.

Both the salesman (Tim Washburn) and finance manager (Rayce Radcliff) were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and patient with our new car search! No "pushy" sales approach, and they were careful to answer every question we had, or find someone who did have the answer. We bought a 2011 Fit, and look forward to many years of use with it! We own a Honda Accord already, and knew buying another Honda was the smartest choice for value, perfomance and reliability.

John Wright was very helpful right from the start. He didn't try to sell me a car. Instead, he talked to me about what I liked, what price range I was looking at, and what features were important to me. He only showed me cars that he knew I would be interested in, and never once did I feel pressured to buy a car. I am 100% confident that if Gary Smith Honda had no cars on their lot that I was interested in then I could have walked away without anyone trying to show me something that I was not interested in. After finding the right car, Rayce stepped in and really helped me out with the financing and getting the extended warranty and other things I wanted. I really feel that both John and Rayce went above and beyond to help put me in the car that I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. If I am still in the area when it comes time for a new car, Gary Smith Honda will be the first place I look.

Went to trade in and buy a new car. Had a great time, they were really nice and did not pressure us at all. Very upfront, didn't attempt to hide costs, switch anything out, and spelled out the costs of additional options during the finance discussions. We got the car for a fair price with more for the trade in than I expected. We plan to deal with them for as long as we live in the area. I'd feel very comfortable sending a friend or family member there.

I bought my first Honda Fit from Gary Smith Honda in 2007. I got all of my maintenance done on my car there and did not have any problems with it the entire time I owned it. I recently went in and traded my old Fit for a new Fit. I had a limited budget and could not exceed what I was currently paying for my old car. Paul and the financing staff at Gary Smith Honda not only found an option to help me stay within my budget, but actually SAVED me money! I wouldn't have thought it possible when I went in, but I am paying less for my new car per month than I was paying for my old car. So - if you want a great car, great service, and great maintenance to keep your car running problem free, go to this dealership! My family has purchased several cars from this dealership. They are all very friendly there and they personally knew my mom by name. We were out looking at the cars and Gator came out and called my mom's name and said hi and he and the salesman helped us out the entire time. Last time I bought a car, I was at a different Honda dealership because I was out of the area and the car buying process took FOREVER. Yesterday's purchase was very pleasant and speedy. I would definitely recommend this dealership. I will also say, saleswoman Trish at this dealer is an awesome saleswoman. She just happened to be off the day I purchased my car.

A month long of car shopping, I decided to take a look at Honda. I work at a very large financial institution and those who own a Honda had nothing but good to say how reliable they are! I was greeted immediately and felt very comfortable with my sales person, Irene(Pat was in training with her). I was able to drive the civic, accord, pilot and then the crosstour which I wound up purchasing. I was impressed with the knowledge both knew about each vehicle I drove. I also greatly appreciated the fact that both listened to me and understood my expectations in finding the right vehicle. They took great care with me- I was able to keep the car and drive it a while before making a decision. I had done my research on pricing and Kim worked with us on making a fair and good deal! "Gator" was awesome when it came time to get down to the finance paperwork. He walked us through everything making sure we understood and was receptive to all our questions. From beginning to end, the experience was super! in the past I have always dreaded looking for a new car. However, buying my 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour with Gary Smith honda has changed my mind in knowing if you buy the best product and find a dealer you can trust, it makes all the difference in the world!! When I bring my car in for servicing or a problem, Latone is always there to greet me when I pull up and knows me by name....that's impressive, especially when I don't have an appointment and she sees many, many people each day and for as often as she sees me. If I'm waiting on the car, Wayne always comes out and speaks to me and lets me know what's being done and about how long the wait will be. If I drop it off to pick up later, Wayne always calls me or my husband to let us know what's wrong and how much it will cost. I really appreciate that! Whether I'm waiting or picking up, Latone always takes the time to go over everything before I pay for services. Everyone I have dealt with at Gary Smith Honda have been extemely helpful and friendly!

My daughter was in Destin working for the summer and her Honda would not start. She took it to this dealership and the price to fix an ignition switch on a 1992 Honda Accord was quoted at around $500.00 (maybe a little less I don't remember exactly). It was around 300 for the switch and 150-200 for labor. Price for the switch on the internet: 32.00 Price if I replaced it: 0.Price to have another repair shop tow it from Gary Smith, buy a more expensive switch and labor to repair it 200. Never having to deal with this Honda dealer and writing a negative review: priceless.The only positive thing I can say is that they did accurately diagnose the problem and didn't charge me for it (although this is a "known problem").

I gave an intranet oil change special coupon for $24.95. No mention was made of additional charges. The bill comes and the charge is $25.60 plus $1.54 tax for a total of $27.14. The amount is not fatal to anyone but it is more than advertised; this is WRONG and disappointing to the consumer. Why say it is $24.95 when it isn't!

I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new Honda. I found just the car I wanted and at the price I wanted to pay. My salesman, Marty, was accomodating and professional. He was also very patient! We had the deal finished and were ready to sign the paperwork when I changed my mind about the color! Marty didn't even blink. He and the staff at Gary Smith graciously and diligently worked to get the color I wanted. I am very happy with my new Honda Pilot. I plan to come back to Gary Smith in the future when I am ready for a new car.

My salesman, Marty Buchman, has to be the TOP SALESMAN since I bought my first car from my Father back in 1980. Marty and Gary Smith Honda were wonderful in every aspect from testing driving the Pilot to signing on the dotted line November 26, 2010! I have and will continue to refer my family, my friends and business associates to Marty as he gave of himself and represented Gary Smith to the nth degree in salesmanship!!!!! Marty took the time to show us the car and even drove to my house to make sure all my paperwork was properly completed. In this day and age when customer service seems to be a dying art, it is refreshing to find people like Marty and Gary Smith Honda to excel and treat me and my husband, Joe, as valued customers. Sadly my Father died in 1996 but I know he would have said "Good Job Marty" and "Way to go Gary Smith Honda"!!!

Was skeptical about going to this dealership after reading the reviews here while I was researching the Honda CR-V and Subaru Forester. Test drove both and like them very much. I went with the 2010 Honda CR-V EX-L w/NAVI as thy beat Subaru by a long shot on price. They had quoted me an internet price on an EX-L without Navi, but when I test drove the one with the NAVI, and with other features on interior, mats etc. They still gave me an outstanding price with 0.9 financing for 5 years. I was flabbergasted as I had a preapproved Credit Union loan at 3.7%. Gator did the financial paperwork and tried to sell me extras, but he treated me with respect and professionalism. I would trust this dealer with everyone as they are truely a great Honda Dealer!!

My husband and I just moved here from out of state, we had 2 older vehicles and needed a more dependable vehicle since we were living out in the country. My husband and I stopped in and Joel helped us. He was very informative, never pushy. We took over a month to make up our mind, because we were looking at all makes of vehicles. During this time, we called and stopped in several times. Joel answered all our questions and was very helpful. When we finally made up our mind, he worked very hard to give us excellent trade in's, both our vehicles were older, but he got us good values for them. We are very happy with Joel and take our vehicle there for service. No complaints, just polite, helpful people that we have come in contact with. We will buy our next vehicle there also.

In April of 2010 my 18 yr old son bought a 2007 Jeep Wrangler from Doug Hogan. After driving the vehicle for a couple of weeks he discovered that the transmission seemed to be slipping but because he was not sure, he thought it was just the gear shifter & the way he was using it. After this went on for a couple more days, he mentioned it & I told him to have it checked out. When he took it down to the local transmission repair center and they told him that he had to have the transmission assembly replaced due to the fact that the 1st gear was slipping. This is something that has been going on since he purchased the car & should have been noticed when the "55 point inspection" was done by the service center at Gary Smith Honda. When we called to talk to the salesman about it, he was not available so I spoke with the Sales Manager (Mike) who was very rude & not professional in any way. I am very disappointed that this dealership took advantage of my 18 yr old son & will NEVER return to this dealership for anything, (sales, service or anything else). After I explained how I felt to Mike (sales MANAGER) he kept talking as I was & then decided to hang up the phone on me. I do not think this is how you are supposed to be treated when talking to anyone much less some one who makes their money from us, the customer!!!

We fell for the "Bait and Switch", we left once they changed the price because of a "mistake" with the quote over the phone. The quote seemed very good but not unreasonable, with the dealer incentives that were going currently offered. I understand that they are want to get people into the showroom to negotiate, but I just wish they were less cavalier with peoples time. They knew we were driving about an hour to get to the dealer.

My wife and I went in to buy a new Honda. We had been preapproved and had an idea of what we wanted to spend. Everything was going great, we had not haggled about the price of the care we chose, then we got pulled into the business office to do our paperwork. That is where we met "Gator", who worked us over for about 45 minutes with high pressure sales trying to shove extended warranties down our throat. This guy would not take no for an answer. We even walked out of his office once to try and think about the options and he followed us. Finally, after we said NO about 1,000 times, we agreed on a deal and did not get any additional warranties or programs. By then this guy was pissed off, and couldn't even shake our hands or say thanks for doing business with us. This was unethical, unprofessional, and down right rude. Watch out for this guy if you go there, he is terrible to deal with.

We purchased a 2002 Odyssey in Ohio and when we moved to Florida, Gary Smith Honda was quick to honor warranty service needed. But the reason I write this review is to commend Gary Smith Honda for dealing with us honorably and generously when our transmission had trouble the last few months. We now live in Colorado, and the dealer here determined we needed our transmission replaced (92k miles on it), and we remembered that Gary Smith Honda inspected our transmission at about 30k miles to assess whether it was defective (per a recall notice on that transmission). They determined it was okay at that time, but clearly it was defective as it failed this summer - 4 years after the inspection. We were prepared for the worst, to pay for the entire transmission replacement (about a $3-4,000 job). The dealer here in Colorado Springs called Gary Smith Honda, and to the surprise of all, they agreed to pay for 90% of parts and labor! It would certainly have been difficult to prove they were negligent in the earlier assessment, but they recovered with flying colors.I also dealt with Gary Smith Honda in purchasing a used 2000 Civic about 5 years ago, and they were courteous, respectful, helpful and responsive - a positive and good experience, and I would recommend them to my friends and family.Quality of work: we used them for tire service on both Odyssey and Civic, for a/c compressor replacement on Civic, and miscellaneous other maintenance, and they have always been prompt, professional, and courteous. Their prices are a bit high but they guarantee their work.

The most unprofessional dealer service department I have had the displeasure of dealing with to date. I have purchased two Hondas (neither was from them -- found that they were extremely difficult to negotiate with where sales are concerned -- should have been a clue about their service department!) from another dealer but this is my local Honda dealer so I've been going here for service. Last straw for me was when I was lied to about a repair that I needed being covered under an extended warranty that Honda had issued. I paid the $600 or so dollars, felt uneasy about it and did a little more research, including contacting Honda's headquarters. Long story short, I should *not* have been charged for the repair! When I went back to Gary Smith Honda about this they flat out refused to refund my money and when I asked to speak with the service manager he wouldn't even come out to talk to me. I contacted Honda headquarters again and by close of business that same day, headquarters informed me that I indeed should not have had to pay for that repair and that I would be issued a check refunding my money. This dealer is useless to me, both in terms of sales and service. IF I decide to purchase another Honda in the future, I will once again be prepared to have it serviced elsewhere.

I took my Honda Civic in for an oil change on Tuesday. On Thursday, I checked the oil and it looked very dark, like it had not been changed. So Friday I drove in and I talked to the "Service Advisor" (Blake) who dealt with me on Tueday. He popped the hood, pulled the dip stick and said it was definitely changed, "that's brand new oil". I showed him a paper towel that I brought with the oil wiped from the Honda (after about 50 miles) and next to it oil wiped from my truck (which was changed 1000 miles ago). The Honda stain was very dark brown, while the truck stain was a light yellow/tan color. He wasn't convinced. So he called a mechanic in and told him to drop everything he was doing and bring the car in to put it on the lift and check the filter. He told me to go with him to check it out. The filter was definitely changed, but that didn't convince me because they could have just put a new filter on. So he agreed and pulled the drain plug. It was VERY DARK, and I could not see through it. This should not be the case even after a couple hundred miles. The car only has 35k miles on it, and I've changed it every 5k miles (the manual recommends 10k).Blake was still not convinced. He said the tech that did my oil change was a senior mechanic and he just couldn't believe that. He never apologized. Basically made me look like I was imagining things or overreacting. I told him I was not trying to get anything free, but he gave me a free oil change coupon. Too bad I won't be back. He probably realized that...Customer Service has usually been good, but I've never had any problems. Now that I've had a problem, I will have to say, his Customer Service skills were very poor. Atleast seem like you're apologetic and that it was their fault, NOT the customers.Quality of Work - Again, normally good because they do what they are suppose to. I give them a poor rating because I brought it in, paid for a job that was not done.Friendliness - Poor - See Customer Service.Overall Experience - Poor.Pricing - They're kind of expensive compared to the quick-lube type places.
