Don’t buy/lease or service a vehicle anywhere else!! The Gene Butman Ford team is second to none. I was recently in to buy out my lease vehicle and transfer it to my wife’s family. The team promised we’d be completed with the transaction in 90 minutes…we were done in less than 30!!! I am so impressed with how Erik Ferguson our well organized, extremely experienced and professional Sales and Leasing Consultant ensured every detail was accounted for and ready when we arrived. Additionally, Brook Price our Finance Manager was extremely kind, knowledgeable and transparent. Because we inquired, she let us know about every warranty option without being pushy and she led us through the purchase process in a few minutes with every detail and question answered without fail. I will be back to do regular business with Gene Butman for life. They truly are caring, knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I feel like I’m part of the family and not just a number. Thank you for the wonderful experience!!!

I went to Gene Butman to purchase a used truck. I paid asking price for the truck which totaled to over $40k. I left the dealership with one key and less than a quarter tank of gas, both unacceptable at this price level. I called the next day about acquiring an additional key. My salesman Dan Gregway said that he would locate a key for me at cost, $20 and labor. I drove 45 minutes to the dealership, waited an hour for them to program a new key all for them to tell me the key would cost me $272. Thats the price any Ford dealership would charge. The service man told me that he didnt understand why I was being charged for something that shouldve come with the car anyway. I agreed but was willing to pay the $20 + labor. I went back to my salesman to discuss the price discrepancy. He told me that he only made $200 off of the truck and that he tried to tell me discretely over the phone to try other options. Good customer service is the key to repeat business. I wasted a total of 2.5 hrs of my time, all to leave unsatisfied and with no options to resolve the matter.

I just leased my second car from Gene Butman and I couldn't be more satisfied! I never feel the high pressure there and I can tell that they are concerned with getting me in the right vehicle. Car shopping for me can be a painful experience, as I feel that most dealers just want to put you in any car at any price just to make a sale. Not a Gene Butman! I really appreciated them not pushing me in a car that I didn't like. My sales person, Annie Lloyd, explained to me all the rebates that were available to me and when it would be the best time to get out of my current lease. She made the time to address all of my questions and concerns, as I can be a very picky customer! I also like that she asked me to send over all of my information the day before I signed my new lease. It made the process go much quicker. For somebody who is very busy, I appreciated not being at the dealership for hours!Annie also explained all the cool technology functions of the car and paired my phone with the vehicles. She showed me how to operate everything and made sure that I was comfortable with it before signing any paperwork.I will be a Gene Butman customer for life. They make the whole car buying experience wonderful!

My salesman was Ed Caldwell. What a nice person! I appreciated his no pressure salesmanship. He gave me a great deal on my lease for a Ford Escape. He was patient with my many questions and was very thorough in showing me the features of the vehicle. As he is new to car sales, Mr. Caldwell did an excellent job. Would highly recommend him if you want a Ford product.

I stopped in at Gene Butman Used Cars. I was already a little irritated from the other two dealerships I stopped in at earlier. Their sales persons were rude and I felt pressured to buy, when I really wanted to gather info first. At Gene Butman I was greeted by Mike Bartosek. I told him I was "just looking." Mike was really cool and friendly. We turned it into info day. He was very informative and helpful. I never had such great customer service before with no sales pressure to buy. I plan to come back soon to actually buy. I will definitely recommend others to Mike.

if you can avoid the pre owned of these guys please do so by all means, the worst and most disturbing experience I ever had over there!! I called in for a used car and asked to get the final price over phone because they were 40 minutes drive from my place, the girl who answered was from the new cars department and she said its a company's policy not discuss or disclose any price over the phone and if I come there they will be happy to negotiate and see what we can agree on, after driving for 40 min I had one of their salesmen jumping to offer and work with me on the car, I told him I need to buy the car and am looking to get more discount on the price. he said he understands and will talk to his manager to see about that, he had 5 min there and left and went to talk to another client for about 15-20 min. while I was waiting on his disk and finally he came back and told me we cannot do anything and this is the 'Internet price' (which I don't understand what does that mean!!!) and then said that I already have people coming to buy the car with that Internet price so in another word I can take my offer and leave, had to go back for another 50 min in rush hour to get back and had to cancel meetings as I could not reach office!!! this can tell you how bad it was and how bad it made my day.unprofessional and unrespectful dealer that you can't hope to get much from them either in price or way to handle sales deals.(am not sure about the rest of the sales guys), avoid them if you can!

Josh listened, didn't push, but made suggestions based on my conversation. He put me into an excellent car within an hour of arriving at the dealership. The paperwork was easy and he took the time to explain everything I was signing and the variables that made up the total cost. He then took the time, even though he was clearly busy, to show me the features of the vehicle before I drove off of the lot. I typically can't stand dealing with salesman but Josh seemed very honest and it ended up being the most painless experience with a salesman that i can remember. This dealership works very hard for its customers. They helped me get out of 2car payments, one of which was a money pit, the other was a roadster which, for all intents and purposes, is a summer car. My payment was lowered 200 dollars between both cars, they paid off both cars and the bill I had at the repair shop. Now I have 2013 focus with a nice warranty. Chris, Richard and Ray worked hard for me. Thank u guys.

We had new tie rod ends installed, an alignment performed, and the transmission filter and transmission oil changed on an older model Explorer. The prices were reasonable and the service was incredible. We took it in in the morning, and drove it home that afternoon! Gene Butman Ford's parts and service departments support Ford eCommerce, which is a major advantage for scheduling repairs and getting them done in a timely manner. I don't like having to have my cars fixed, but when I have to, Gene Butman is the place to go.

We called and gave symptoms of the problem (one coil not firing) and were told (Jeff) to come in right away and they would fit us in. Josh Brice took care of us, got the part in a day, kept us posted on the vehicle's progress, and was very considerate of pricing, etc. He is a very personable AND knowledgeable person! The cashier, as always, was one of the nicest and most helpful staff. THIS is the reason we switched from Varsity Ford!

I really enjoyed my buy at butman ford, there was absolutely no pressure, I test drove 3 cars before picking my chevy malibu, no remorse car runs great. Service was great. BUT if you are not using your online appointment scheduling take it off your website. I use the convenience of online scheduling as a primary means of making service appointments, it was very frustrating when I got to the service desk and was told you don't use it, you should have called. If you would have said call for appointment I could have saved everyone problems by doing what you asked.

I purchased a new Ford Edge because of the service that I receive in your service department. I know this is kind of backwards, but that's the primary reason why I do business with Butman Ford. Jeff Loundsberry, Stuart King, Todd, and Squeaky (don't know their last names) all give me great service. The search process for an Edge at another dealership took much longer than what I had expected. That's why I rated it 4 out of 5 on your scale. I originally set out to purchase a new Escape, but the 2015 Escape is "much smaller" than our 2003 Escape. I don't know what Ford Motor Company was thinking when they made is so much smaller. The driver's position is much too cramped for any of us to be comfortable sitting in. <<<>>> I want the dealership to know that Ford Motor Company called us three times asking for Thomas Baublit to give them feedback on our purchase of a new Edge. Thomas Baublit is my brother who lives in Brea, California and to my knowledge he does not live at my home in Saline nor am I aware that he purchased a new Edge. Unfortunately, my wife hung up on Ford the third time they called because she was frustrated that they didn't listen to us trying to tell them that Thomas Baublit does not live at our house. Sorry if this gave you a bad report.

The deal I received was exactly as stated by the salesman, no surprises. Called and changed the delivery date to a day earlier and he accommodated the last minute change and had the vehicle and all paperwork ready to go even though he had two other customers that same evening. He took the time to show me different features and synced my mobile phone so I would be ready for the drive home.

I tried to buy a used F-150 form them. I decided to buy it and we talked to a sales person and they gave us a price. We went to the bank to get the check, get back and they tell us they don't have the title to the car and so we can't buy it. I was leaving town the next day, so I figured it was a loss. I get back to town two weeks later, they still have the truck and they tell me they finally got the title. I decide to have a mechanic check it out and they won't allow it. They say a mechanic can come to their lot and check it out, but we can't take it. Our mechanic says in his 30 years experience he's never heard of a dealership doing that. The whole situation was too fishy, so I bailed. Claire helped us out, she was awesome and I don't think was at fault.

I was recommended by a friend to go to Chris M. He told me he is usually a new car salesman but would still be able to help me. He was very helpful. Every step of the way. He was very patient since my situation was a little unusual. I am coming back on Friday or the following week because he wants to make sure I knew were to go to get my car service in the future. Last time I went to a dealership to ask a simple question, I had 4 different salesman work towards me. I felt Chris was very easy going and down to earth. He made the process very enjoyable. Gene even stopped in to say hello. I felt very comfortable and at ease being this was my first time buying a car.

Seriously, this was the best car buying experience I've ever had! Thanks to our sales person, we got the Explorer we wanted, rather than the Edge we thought was all that would fit in our budget. He was informed, friendly and above all efficient. I got the information I needed without having to listen to a lot I knew I didn't want to hear. After a less positive experience at 2 other local Ford dealerships, I know where to go from now on!

Purchased a 2014 Fusion. Chose Gene Butman over other Ford dealers in the area because of the personal service they provide. In particular our salesperson, Chris Malchalk, was the best "car" salesman I have ever dealt with. Very knowledgeable about all Ford products and very supportive of all our decisions. Very knowledgeable of the whole sales process. When asked for an opinion he would give it, but always adding, it's your choice. Their service area is very personable and knowledgeable as well.

2011 Honda Pilot. Everything went really smooth, I was already pre approved for the vehicle. On my test drive, I noticed paper wedged between the seats. This vehicle was never cleaned or detailed. I found lots of paper, DVD in player, seats all were very dirty. All storage areas never cleaned. I love my new vehicle

Thomas O'Neill helped me choose a used 2013 Ford Escape when my old car broke down unexpectedly a few weeks ago. The staff was friendly and listened to what was important to me when purchasing a new car, especially keeping a low monthly payment. I would recommend Butman Ford to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car, as I test drove and researched both. I visited other dealerships in the area before going to Butman Ford, and was nowhere near as impressed with the other facilities.Overall I am extremely pleased with my experience and will be back in the future.

The members of Gene Butman Ford care and are very knowledgable. Since 2004 that I bought my truck no one else has worked on it. They do all the service. I buy my tires from them and even have them renew the finish. They keep my vehicle as good as new. They are simply outstanding. I would never go some where else.

They were professional and friendly. Jerry Brookins was very helpful: available but not pushy, responded to questions, returned calls, and walked me through the process. My mechanic liked the car, said it was in good condition, I should buy it; that this dealership had a good reputation. I was more comfortable here than at the other 4 dealerships I looked at. Jay Reaume gave me a quick estimate and a generous trade-in. They brought the price down to fit my budget, which saved me looking further. They seemed to be working together well and to be willing to negotiate to reach a deal. Would recommend to friends.

After having multiple issues with my vehicle and getting extremely poor service and getting the run around from another dealer I had the good fortune to having my Vehicle worked on by Gene Butman Ford Service Department. I had issues with my Freestyle that was making the car dangerous to drive. After reporting this issue to the NHTSA and getting information on a software update and throttle issue, I brought the car to the dealership with that information. Not only was the issue resolved in a very timely manner, the mechanics did an all points inspection on the car to make sure that the car was safe in all other areas. I am happy to say that my car will be cared for at Gene Butman Ford from now on.I could not recommend Gene Butman Ford any more. They are professional, responsible and they care about the safety and well being of their customers.

I moved here in 2009, and I was quite sad to leave my tried and trusted mechanic in Lansing behind. After trying about 5 different service shops around the greater Ann Arbor area, I finally ended up at GBF, and they were perfect. They took the time, energy, and effort to figure out what needed to be done and how and they were polite while they did it. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about GBF, so I am not sure what took me so long to get my own car in here! Tom was so helpful, as were the other guys in the department. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service, excellent care, and people who won't just tell you they know what they're doing when they don't... It's got a "mom and pop shop" kind of family feel with the technology and versatility of a bigger service department.**Note: I drive a Volkswagen (which has proven to be a difficult car to work on), and GBF did a wonderful job, so do not be dissuaded to bring your import car here, just because it says, "Ford"!!

When visiting my local Ford dealership I was greeted with a half hello and a rushed scheduling to fix the random noise that my new car began to make. After having to reschedule the early 9 AM appointment because "the car would not be able to be worked on immediately and it could possibly take all day" I came the next day with enthusiasm. I was not greeted this time and instead called over when Stuart had time to talk to me. I was given paper work in exchange for my keys and trust. I picked up my car later that day to find it totally trashed with personal belongings from the glove box and middle console. The friendly white covering Saying: we take pride in your vehicle" was delicately placed in the driver seat but the passenger seat was nothing like I left it. I even noticed my mirror had been broken off. They said there was nothing found during the expectation but that I should "try to be real nice to the service guys and ya might get a new mirror" Although I was puzzled by this comment I later realized his attempt to fix his problem. I called several times the next day to report the problem only to be confronted by the very rude and quick spoken receptionist. I mentioned her rudeness and he jokingly said he "would smack her for me". It wasnt funny. My boyfriend called three times and never received a call back. I cant believe this happened to me and my brand new car but I hope NO ONE ever has to experience such cruelty and negligence.

I just bought a car from Gene Butman Ford and am left with a bad taste in my mouth. My salesperson was courteous and thorough, but Nick Butman, the manager of used car sales, unfortunately fit the profile of a used car dealer who's out to make a profit any way he can at the expense of the customer. I took the car in question for a pre-purchase inspection at another dealership, where they said it was in good condition except for the oil pan, which needed to be replaced. When he heard this, Nick put the car on a hoist to examine it and then lied to my face, saying the oil pan was fine and did not actually need to be switched out. I don't know much about cars, so I took it to my mechanic who confirmed that the oil pan did indeed need to be replaced ASAP and showed me the rust spots where at any moment, oil could come gushing out. If Nick had acknowledged that there was a problem and simply told me he didn't want to factor in the price of replacing the oil pan into the price of the car, I would have accepted it. But to blatantly deny an obvious problem that even I could see when told what to look for is simply unethical. I bought this car because I was under a time constraint and needed a car, but I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and I will not be going there again.

I just got my first lease at Gene Butman Ford, a 2012 Ford Fusion and I LOVE IT! I highly suggest you look into this car if you are looking for a new car and have no idea what to get! Not only is the car's handling and driving very nice, but the options on it don't even compare to my previous car (Honda Civic). My service at Gene Butman was outstanding. Josh Belisle was my salesman and he will make sure you leave happy. He was NOT a pushy salesman which is one thing that I truly admired. The day I got my car prepared/cleaned, it was raining. Josh called the next day to offer a car wash since the weather was bad the day before. The little things really make a difference when you are dealing with a business. I HIGHLY recommend Gene Butman Ford. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied!

Too many problems to list here, my experience with this dealer over the last few years has simply kept me scratching my head as to how some dealers survive at all with such a poor customer experience.The sales department seems OK although a little uninformed which is typical of small-time dealers. The service and paint departments will just leave you frustrated.I recommend buying your car where you will have it serviced, so I would never buy from this dealership.

I went to the body shop to get my truck fixed after a car crash. Note it was still driveable. A man named Don called me saying my parts where in and it was a friday, he said it would take 3-4 days to fix. I called on tuesday to see if it was done, and they told me the parts had just arrived. So my truck had been sitting there for five days. I have two jobs and go to school four times a week. I was jumping through hoops to get to where I needed to go. I didn't even receive an apology. It was clear that no one cared and I was not appreciated as a customer because no one cared because it wasn't there problem, they just wanted my money. Also one of my fog lights they "fixed" is now flickering. They probably just put my truck together as quickly as posssible because they knew they already messed up.

Had 2001 Escape repaired, but was not fixed, engine light was still on and truck still stalled at stoplights also chugged when at a stop, when returned to dealership, wanted to charge us again for what they didn't fix the 1st time. When told was was wrong it was a lower intake gasket that should have been replaced when they did a tuneup 2 yrs earlier (car had been running bad in cold weather since then.

The dealership policy is $125 for diagnostic and $78 for other individual troubleshooting events (ie overheating would cost $125 for computer diagnostic plus $78 for cooling system review). This fee is NOT credited towards the repair. In my case, a simple engine overheating costs $125 for the diagnostic test, $78 for the troubleshooting cost, $15 for the thermostat and $165 in labor for a total of $383. This cost is triple the price of two other dealerships with whom I checked.
