I recently purchased a new Camaro from Gilbert Chevrolet. The customer service was exceptional from beginning to end. Roger Rice found the perfect car for me and had everything ready within a day. I arrived on a Saturday morning and was met by Roger standing ready at my car! Not far behind was David James ready to get down to business. I was in and out of his office in no time. He was very helpful and explanatory with the OnStar operations, car functions.. etc. Chris made the finance paperwork a breeze and was very helpful at explaining all of the options available. I can't commend this Gilbert Chevrolet team enough!!

From the begining of my buying experience, the salesman Gary Clements and the Manager Roger Rice, made dealing pleasurable. While driving home from Jacksonville to Naples last Saturday, my 2014 GMC Sierra SLT developed an exhaust leak that got progressively worse...until it became a real concern. Loud and smelly, it was near the engine under the hood. It needed immediate attention. I was heading across the state, near Okeechobee , where I knew there was a local Chevrolet dealer. I was hoping they would be open offering Saturday Service hours.I got there at 3pm, only one hour before closing time, but you wouldn't have known that. The service staff wrote me up, got the only tech still on duty looking at my problem while I had a coffee in the customer lounge. Within the half hour, I was talking with the tech, who had determined the exhaust header manifold had loosen from the exhaust down-pipe and two of the three nuts had fallen off leaving a significant gap in the normally airtight connection. He had found a couple of lock nuts that would "work" for an emergency repair, but, he also wanted me to know this would only be a temporary "fix". It would get me home, but would need the correct nuts installed as soon as possible.Well, that totally worked for me and shortly after, I was able to resume my homeward trek... !I actually enjoyed the experience. It was a real pleasure to talk with the staff...the tech and service writers were friendly and knowledgeable, they made me feel "at home"......Really, I know this expression gets overused, and maybe is "the correct" thing to say, but I did feel at home. Like I knew these guys for much longer than the 30-45 minutes I was there. Small town friendly, like Naples used to be.Anyway, Gilbert Chevrolet gets a "Ten" from me based on this service experience.Don DeVoeNaples, Florida

After getting my truck's oil changed and paying, I was reviewing the inspection sheet. On the inspection sheet it has an area for "leaks" and it was checked. I went to one of the service advisor's and asked why this block was checked. After the service advisor checked with the mechanic that did the oil change, the service advisor came back to me and stated "the mechanic found a leak and wasn't sure if it is coming from oil pan area or main seal between engine and transmission. No one told me about this problem and if I hadn't reviewed the inspection sheet, I would have had no idea that there was a problem. Let's be real, most people do not review those sheets. I believe that the service advisor should go over that sheet with the customer prior to turning it into the cashier for payment.

I purchased a 2014 Chevy Equinox last year from Gilbert Chevrolet in Okeechobee, Florida. The purchase process was quick and easy, with a wide selection of models on various colors and trim levels. Since that time I've returned about every 8 weeks for service (I'm in sales and drive up to 1,000 miles a week). The Gilbert service department does a great job of quickly servicing my vehicle with the proper GM parts and fluids. Recent visit for ignition problem. Mark Dupree service mgr. Mark was able to fit in mechanics diagnostic quickly and identify the problem. As parts were not available until following morning, Mark immediately arranged for a loaner vehicle. Mark called next day when repairs complete. Return of loaner, pick up of my truck quick process. Mark was courteous and professional ( as were all of the Gilbert personnel ) I encountered during the process .

If I had to pick just 1 word it would be "AMAZING". Gilbert Chevrolet did what others would not. They were the 5th dealer I had gone to, to order my car. I live in Port St Lucie which is about 40 mins away from the dealership. They made the ordering process easy and painless. My car took 7 months to come in from order to delivery and they were amazing the entire 7 months. I worked directly with the the GSM Roger. He kept me up to date and never made me feel like I was a bother after calling 2-3x a week and once the car had arrived at the dealer 2-3x a day. Once the car was delivered to the dealer they took pictures and sent them to me along with a phone call to let me know it was there. I had some accessories added to the car before delivery and the service manager CJ sent me pictures of the cars progress along the way which was "awesome"! I don't have 1 complaint about the dealership everyone from the Receptionist Jamie to the Owner Christa was amazing and friendly. They made me feel like family. They not only earned my business, but they have earned a customer for life. If your thinking about purchasing a Chevrolet don't look or go anywhere else except Gilbert! You will not be disappointed!! Contacted Susan over the phone regarding a new truck advertised online. She was very prompt in handling the situation as well as sending additional pictures I equested. I drove seven hours to pick up the new truck and could not be happier with the whole experience. There was no pressure, sales gimmicks or games. For those of you considering buying a car online, that might seem like a scary experience. I just wanted to share my experience with Gilbert Chevrolet. I contacted Susan Hendershot at Gilbert Chevrolet regarding a Dodge pickup. She promptly contacted me and answered my question about the vehicle. I asked her about transport and she quickly gave me a quote. After some discussion, I agreed to buy the truck. I was an out of state buyer and Susan contacted my local county regarding sales taxes and titling needs. She prepared the necessary supporting paperwork for my signature and sent the paperwork to my address in advance. After weighing my options, I decided to fly to West Palm Beach, FL from where I live in North Carolina to drive the truck back home. When my rental car arrangements fell through in West Palm Beach, Susan personally traveled to West Palm Beach to pickup me up. This took 3 hours of her time. When I met Susan, I knew that I was in good hands. When we arrived at the dealership, the truck was exactly as Susan had represented verbally as well as through pictures. Actually, the truck exceeded my expectations. I had prepared a cashier's check for the agreed amount along with pre-signing documentation to transfer title. After about 1/2 hour, Susan gave me the keys and instructions on how to get onto I-95. Further, she said to contact her if I got lost or had any trouble. They even gave me a free hat. At no point, did I feel uncomfortable with my decision. For those of you looking to save money, I would highly recommend contacting Gilbert Chevrolet because they are the real deal. They are good and honest people.

Recently purchased a 2010 Chevy Avalanche that was Certified and had a GM 12 month/12,000 warranty from Gilbert. On the drive home we noticed the entire dash vibrated badly and took it to our local Chevy dealer (we live in St. Pete and drive all the way to Okeechobee to get this vehicle). We also noticed a chip in the windshield. It was determined that the dash defrost grill was broken and repair costs would be $386.24. This was item #113 on the 172 point certification process and Gilbert will not make good for the repair saying we should have noticed it on the test drive. We negotiated the price prior to making the trip to pick up the vehicle and did not encounter any rough roads on the test drive. They will not stand behind their certification and have not responded to my request in writing.

This is the way it should be. I bought my new Sonic the other day. Talked with a few dealerships and it was immediately obvious that this was the dealership to buy from. Talked with Ms. Sue over the phone and through email. She was not at all pushy and answered any concerns I had. Communications were smooth and prompt, not forced. They even delievered the car to me (400 miles) for a very small fee (cheaper than it would have been to go pick it up!) Great service, great price, and great people! Truely happy with my purchase!

I found the car I wanted online and sent Gilbert Chevrolet an email. Within minutes I was phoned by salesman Tom Palmer. He was honest, courteous and had a great personality. By the time we were done speaking I knew that's where I had to go. Just the day before I had a terrible experience at a Toyota dealer in Coconut Creek, FL, so I was still in shock. I drove all the way from Miami and I was glad I did. There's a hometown feeling to this dealership and it just felt right. Tom was great throughout the purchase and General Manager Roger Rice was upfront and honest. He was able to get a better interest rate than my credit union and I got a fair price for my trade. The financing with Melanie Flaherty was a breeze and the price I paid for the vehicle was lower than any other dealership. Overall it was the best experience I've ever had buying a vehicle. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Gilbert Chevrolet is the best GM dealershiips that I have ever dealt with when I purchased my new Colorado. I have bought GM trucks and cars for over thirty years using my GM employee discounts. I feel like the sales and service departments provides honest,friendly and professional information. Their sales staff and service people make you feel at home. It really reminds me of a family run operation who really care about their employees and customers. When I drive to our camp at Lake Okeecobee for fishing is when I plan my regular maintenance visit for my new Colorado.

Service Department: My wife has a 2008 Impala LT and I have a 2011 Silverado LT-Z71 which was both purchased from Gilbert Chevrolet. This is just two of many vehicles we have purchased over the years at Gilbert. Sales department got us in the door but the service department has kept us coming back since 1990. My experience was with Sales (Used), Service, Parts and the Collision Center.10/26/2012Re: Gilbert Chevrolet Okeechobee, FLTo All Whom This May Concern: I am writing this letter to inform you all of the great experience I have had in dealing with Gilbert Chevrolet in Okeechobee. My first experience was 6 years ago when my husband and I bought his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. Mrs. Susan Hendershot was who helped us with that deal and we had no problems at all. Well, 6 years later, we finally decided to buy me another vehicle and remembered the great service we received with his truck. We did some internet research all over south and central Florida and found the best deal at Gilbert Chevrolet, which is where we had planned to buy in the first place but just had to be smart consumers. Through the internet we were again put in contact with Mrs. Hendershot and she worked with us the whole way through our deal and was very patient and helpful. We ended up buying a Certified 2011 Chevrolet Suburban and could not be happier with our choice. We want to thank Mrs. Hendershot and also thank Melanie Flaherty for her help with all the financial paperwork. They both made our buying experience a pleasure. We also have had an opportunity since our purchase to come in contact with your Service and Parts Department as well as your Collision Center all in just a few short months. We had a few parts that we needed to get and some service that needed to be performed and everyone that we have come in contact with in the Service and Parts Department were very helpful. From CJ Somerville being so helpful in getting our service done to Dustin Shatzer for ordering the parts needed to Kevin Hatfield for personally delivering the parts and saving us an hour and a half round trip drive. You all have gone above and beyond to make our experience a good one. Everyone that we came in contact with was so very helpful and there are some that I did not get their name for that I apologize but know we are grateful still. As far as the Collision Center experience I mentioned earlier, I cant say I was happy about having to bring my New to Me vehicle but it was not due to the service I received there it was the circumstances in which I had to be there. However, from my very 1st phone call with Ana Torres to picking it up the day after I brought it in she was so helpful and guided us through every step. We had never had to deal with an accident and the other drivers insurance it was all new to us. The whole experience went very smoothly and to pull up in the parking lot to see my car all clean, shiny and repaired was so great. We have joked about us having to test out every part of Gilbert Chevrolet in such a short time but we so appreciate each and every one that we have come in contact with in that time. I hope that I do not have to see you all quite as often but please know I am recommending to everyone I know that may want to buy a car, have one serviced or need one repaired after an accident to check you all out. We bought a used truck "as is". However, when the vehicle started turning off while driving we became alarmed. We brought the truck back to Gilberts several times to try and correct the issue. Gilbert wasn't successful the first two times in trying to resolve the mechanical issue. However, the third time they kept the truck and brought other mechanics and stayed with it until they were SURE that the truck would stay running! It took a while, but they were willing to be persistent to make sure the truck was fixed to our satisfaction.

I do not have my 2007 Tahoe serviced anywhere but Gilbert Chevrolet. They are courteous, accommodating, prompt and provide quality service. They priced matched my tires I bought from them. They are the only place that has aligned my tires so they do not wear improperly. Other made it worse. I recommend Gilbert Chevrolet for sales and service. The sales staff had a 'sharp pencil" and made me a great deal.

I started my relationship with Gilbert Chevrolet in late 2005 when I moved to Okeechobee. I started bringing my 2004 Chevy pickup there for service because it was close. I still use their services because they are honest and do what I ask them to do. I can tell You from past experiences that their are some good dealer service departments out there & there are some bad one's I sorry to say. I have always had positive experiences with Gilbert. In mid 2010 I purchased my new Z71 from Gilbert Chevrolet. The sales staff were low pressure, Steve & Gary were very pleasant to deal with. I was completely satisfied with my buying experience. Gilbert has done all my service on my vehicle and has done a great job. About 6 months ago I found a problem with the paint which was clearly a manufacture defect. I took the truck to their paint shop not sure what to expect as I had a bad experience years ago with a paint defect on my 1991 Chevrolet at a dealer in West Palm Beach. I took the truck in to Gilbert's paint shop & George and Anna were more than accommodating. They did a beautiful job, It was done sooner than predicted and they gave me a loaner vehicle to use free of charge. Yes, that's what they should do but how often have You heard of it actually happening. As for the service department, They are equally the best. Last week I had my truck in for it scheduled service, I explained to Mike that I was slightly concerned about an issue that was fixed on my last visit. He said No problem, We will check it out. When my truck was ready He came looking for me to explain every thing was correct, they had made a slight adjustment free of charge. What I'm trying to say is Gilbert Chevrolet stands behind what they sell and stands behind what they do. I wish I could say that about every business I have dealt with. Thank You to the entire staff at Gilbert Chevrolet !!!

Just got my car back. This car is my baby that I have wanted for so many years. Got into an accident and had quite a bit of damage. They did an AMAZING job. Looks brand new again. Completely honest and trust worthy. Found more damage than the insurance adjusters did. They made contact with my insurance company and made sure that it was all taken care of and covered. I could not be more happy with the work. So nice to be so confident that the work was done right. I would recommend Gilbert to everyone and will never go anywhere else. They staff is very friendly and knowledable.. they won't steer you wrong

great dealership very friendly no hasseles went back for service because of an issue with the rear brakes they fixed the problem w/ no charge all is great put approx 2500 miles on the vehicle with no problems

I have bought a Mitsubishi Eclipse from Gilbert Chevrolet on 21 April 2012. I am totally unsatisfied that car, more than that, it was dangerous for me to deliver it to my state (South Carolina) from dealership which is located at Florida. Once I saw the car I noticed some spots on the car, what means that the car was painted and it was done bad way. Inside Ive seen cracked dashboard that was just covered with piece of material to hide that. When I start moving it seemed everything right inside, but after couple hours I notified that horn is not working. On every stop car wont run at first kick, it was jumping and shaking 2 or 3 times before start, so it definitely has some transmission issues. Finally, it stopped shifting completely. Soon the service engine soon light came on and right after that, another light TCL came on. Sunroof is not working, AM/FM Stereo Radio Volume controller is not working, Cruise Control is not working. The salesperson assured me via email that car was serviced in their service department and any problems it could have had were repaired and/or corrected. So At this moment I have a just purchased car, which doesnt really work. I've tried to contact them several times to resolve those issues - no response and nothing is fixed.
