We came in here just browsing for a newer bigger vehicle and ended up interested in so many on the lot. It was no problem getting all the vehicles out for us to test drive even though it was a Saturday night only an hour before closing. We're now leaving with our new SUV that we love. I bought a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder and was very happy with my purchase. Their was no issues we found with the car post purchase. There was no attempts to keep us uninformed about anything wrong with the car. The service was fantastic, we were given full attention and was in and out with the car in less than an hour and a half. I just bought my first car from Gormleys. Test drove it and everything seemed fine. Placed the down payment and took it home. Well I made the mistake of not looking under the hood before I bought it ( I know I know dumbest mistake ever ) anyhow two of my friends who are mechanics popped the hood. The site was a disgrace. Tubes and hoses that were cracked were held together by electrical tape, the battery was swelled and leaking. I took the car back the next day to have them fix it. They honored it for the most part. A few things they didn't fix because they "were not bad enough to warrant a replacing". This was about a month ago. Well I took the car to get inspected today and guess what... Surprise surprise it failed. So I took the car back since they guarantee pass of inspection for it to be fixed. So we shall see what happens. Too much aggravation and too much money ( the car I purchased it $5000, not including interest ) !!! Do not recommend ! I will never buy from them again.

The salesman, Bob, greeted me with a smile and a warm handshake. He let me test drive the car by myself, without him being present, which was helpful. An initial inspection of the 2003 Mercedes E320 revealed a number of problems: 1. dry rot on all 4 tires (which Bob assured me they would replace), 2. Body damage on one of the bumpers, 3. cracked seat-belt post, and 4. a missing knob from storage compartment opener. The test drive revealed several areas of concern. When I asked him if he had a copy of their mechanic's inspection of the vehicle, he denied having it first, but when pressed, checked his computer screen and revealed only select information about the vehicle. Other than a vague assurance that all their vehicles undergo a safety check "equivalent to that of a certified used vehicle" his demeanor showed he was hiding something and was not being forthcoming. He also confided that the car "had been on the lot a long time." The fact that he did not call me back the next day only confirmed my suspicion. Other dealers showed me a copy of the mechanic's report up-front!!!! What a difference.

My girlfriend recommended Gormley because she had purchased two vehicles here and she was very happy. Turns out she was right! Our salesman, Harry, was honest, helpful and no pressure. He showed us carfaxes, maintenance histories, let us text drive everything, and was friendly and kind. I purchased a great vehicle for less than kbb retail. This is the only used car place I visited that gives a full 60 day warranty. I didn't have enough money to pay in full so they set me up on a payment plan that was more than reasonable. After going to multiple car dealers and getting the same song and dance, Gormley's came through, and quickly. I walked in at 8 and was driving my car off the lot by 9. Bob is an amazing salesperson, and would recommend him to anyone. At no point did I ever feel like I was getting ripped off. They are even taking care of a minor issue the car had when I bought it.

I would recommend Gormley's Auto to anyone that's looking for used car.I've bought 4 cars from them in the past 15yrs.Never had any problems with them.They work with you on any money/credit issues that you have.Our 1st car we bought from them was a 1993 Dodge Shadow,it was a great car.,had it for almost 10yrs I think.Then in Aug.2013,we bought a 2009 Ford Focus,another great car!Then in Feb.2014,my 19yr daughter Angela did a buy here/pay here deal,it's a 2002 Monte Carlo,she loves it!It establishes credit for her.Then in June,I did a buy here/pay here with them,bought a 2001 Toyota Camry Solaro,I love it!!They will go out of their way to get you in a car that you like,work with you with any problems you might have with a down payment,weekly/bi-weekly/monthly,whatever works for you will work for them.Bob sold us the Toyota & the Monte Carlo,Tom sold us the Ford Focus,Mike Reed sold us the Dodge Shadow.They are all a bunch of great guys to deal with.I'd recommend them to anyone that is shopping for a nice used car!Thank You,John E.Zaine

Crooks , 3000 down , 750 for tags had issue with the tag money tried to work with them they repo without warning. Now want 1100 , do not use them they are com artist trying to rip every dollar they can from you . Ignorant mindless losers that think they are better than everyone. Do not waste your money cause you will get screwed. Have issue with your car with their warranty they tell you take it to their guy who then tells you nothing is wrong cause they work together people. This place needs to be shut down they are robbing good hard working people for every cent they got.

I would like to thank the Folks at Gormley's Auto. It is this type of establishment which helps folks to reach their goals. Not everybody is able to purchase a New Vehicle every year. Many families need to remain within a specific price range. It is comforting to know it is possible to purchase a used vehicle which is accommodating to ones needs and is also Safe. Gormley's helped ME to purchase a vehicle which will provide transportation for my 'Social Butterfly' daughter. We can now plan our summer vacation !! It was a pleasure doing business with the associates at Gormley's. They were efficient , pleasant , and eager to help. No Question was a Stupid Question. My sales rep addressed ME. I have worked with Gormleys in the past and they have yet again exceeded my expectations! Tom was absolutely wonderful, and so down to earth! He took care of half of everything by phone in a timely matter, same day response within hours! He and his team made me feel comfortable and answered all and any questions I had. My family has bought a total of 7 vehicles from gormleys. My husband & I have bought 6, 2 were from the buy here pay here lot & then we moved on up to the finance lot. My mother has bought one from the finance lot as well. Tom Dinella is an awesome salesman to deal with. Tom always finds what we are looking for, my husband nick is a car enthusiest, Tom knows this and ALWAYS comes thru for our family. Tom is not pushy or rude, he always makes us feel comfortable while we are looking on the lot. Gormleys feels like family when we walk thru the door, every salesman always has a smile & asks how we are. My 2 kids are also always happy to see Tom, my 5 year old runs over to his desk & gives him a high 5 & yells "hi tom", my one year old gives him a smile & Tom makes him laugh. On the very few occasions that our vehicles have had an issue the repairs have been done in a very timely fashion & help with getting a rental if needed was also done. Needless to say we will definitely be return customers to gormleys & to Tom. We live in Northeast Philadelphia, so gormleys is not the closet dealership but it is the most pleasant one around to deal with so we Will travel the distance. Thank You Tom & Gormleys!!

About 11 yrs ago I moved to Gloucester City,I was in the market for a car,I stopped at Gormleys on rt 130.I purchased a Plymouth Breeze from the buy here pay here lot.My payments were only 50 dollars a week at that time.But I really liked my car so I worked hard to make my payments.Then I came into a problem,I missed a few weeks and didn't realize it....went to get into my car one morning which it wasn't there.I made a phone call to Gormleys,and spoke to Mike Reed.He was very nice to me,and said that he had no choice but to take my car,he said to me if I could come up with areasonable amount,since he knew I needed my car to go to work.Through that phone call came better things from Gormleys,I am in the cleaning business so,I gained Gormleys to clean,to help me pay for car.and a few clients which I presently still clean 10 years later...pretty cool huh.I finally paid off that car...I even cleaned an RV...in their parking lot....(what a fun time).Now 11 years later,I found myself looking for another car,I went to Gormleys and of course,(once again they came thru for me).I now moved up from the buy here pay here....to bank financing.....The guys of Gormleys are the best...They are family to me....here's a big HIGH FIVE TO YOU.....way to go guys.....

I have gone to many lots to look for a car that really made me fall and love and finally I came across Gormley's. Andrew and all the other staff I encountered were very polite and helpful. The process was a lot easier than any other dealer I previously purchased from. Also there weren't any hidden fees or hassle when it came to signing the contract. Andrew was very helpful in making sure I made the right decision with allowing me to have the car looked over by a private shop. He also helped with allowing me to put money down to hold the car until I had the rest of the down payment. I am absolutely in love with my purchase. I have already recommended Gormley's to my friends and family. That haven't seen the last of me! Thanks soo much Gormley's.

I am a double ASE Master Certified auto technician and do not trust many others in the auto industry especially used car salesman. I worked for Firestone and previously worked on many used car lot vehicles before they were sold. Gormley's by far care more about what they are putting out on their lots. I now work for Holman Automotive Group which has an excellent employee purchase program at any of their dealerships. That said, i have recently just purchased my third vehicle from Gormley's because of the level of service and trust that i have with them. I have also referred all of my close family and friends to Gormley's as well, especially being that i am typically the one working on their cars, i can trust that it will be years before i have to do anything significant on them. I can not speak for any of the other staff at Gormley's as i only deal with Tommy. The others are very respectful and polite but i am loyal with Tommy as he has never steered me wrong and is completely up front with all his vehicles on the lot. My first car purchase was tough as my wife and I was went through a foreclosure and our credit took a major blow because of it. Tommy was able to get us approved and did not give up on us. When we go up to his facility it's like going to hang out with a good friend and never feels like we are being pressured to buy anything. We tell him what we are looking for and exactly what we need and he makes it happen. I can go on and on. Working in the auto industry i know alot of people and have friends at many car lots and dealers and hands down only fully trust Gormley's. One word sums this long rant up... Outstanding!!

I had been through some ruff times using public transportation. I had been to other dealerships that were heavily advertised, proved to have some hidden agenda. My Pastor told me to go to Gormleys. When I arrived, I was met by very pleasant and kind gentlemen. I might add not bad to look at either. I told Andrew what I wanted and there was no deal making or haggling. As a matter of fact the car I saw was not available. Instead of telling me there was nothing they could do, Andrew brought the perfect car to me. The closer I came to it, I believe the car started to glow. I just need to say that my experience buying a car from Gormleys blew my mind! I drove out of the lot within the hour. I have been telling everyone I know to go to Gormleys! I am riding and Blessed in my Ford Explorer!

Gormleys has hands down been the best car dealership we have ever dealt with. We have purchased 3 vehicles off of them and have been so satisfied that we refer everyone to them. No compliment is better than word of mouth! Our referrals have also led to many of our family and friends purchasing a vehicle from Gormleys and feeling very satisfied with there purchases as well! I am a tough one to bargain with, and unlike other dealerships who frown on my more than pushy demeanor, Gormleys simply pokes fun with me and ALWAYS gets me out the door with exactly what I want at the exact price I want! It is always an enjoyable experience! Though my husband and I do our homework and always shop around, no other dealer has even come close to beating what Gormleys has to offer! My husband is a certified master mechanic who works for Holman automotive, though he receives great incentives through his profession, not even they can beat these guys! As for quality of vehicles, my husband being a Master mechanic knows his stuff! Never have we had any issues with any vehicles at Gormleys! Hands down this place is the only place to purchase a vehicle!

Gormley's was amazing. I walked in looking for a durango, and walked out with a beautiful 2004 hemi 4x4 durango. The customer service was awesome. They make you feel very comfortable and right at home. I needed some minor warranty work done. I called up, was told to bring it in, and it was done that day. I will definately go back when I need another vehicle. Thank you gormley's, I love my durango, that I have wanted for many years.

They don't keep there word on fixing things wrong with your vechicle the sale men send u to Firestone says its nothing wrong with the car Bull Sh.. there with the dealer to save them money whats the Warranty for I spent on (shocks) 1435.00 then 525.00 on the autoride compressor and it need it tune up it cost me 1039.00 and i only had it for a mouth . the list goes on and on they don't answer the phone when u call . I will Never go there again it's all about them not the Customer.

Got my bmw from these guys all smiles at first, Now the car is giving problems this so called mike reid guy was suppose to call me monday but he was out the next day and the day after that and was suppose to be in today but they are now saying he is on caca till next week sometime. While my car still sits in the shop this is the third day now and i still havent heard from the manager mike reid and tomorrow is friday. Not to mention i was sent to madis to get brakes and rooters put on my bmw and the wrong brakes and rooters where put on and did not even find out these guys had a bmw guy they used until the car start shutting off. Why i wasnt sent to jafstram from the get go idk. But there is only one thing left to think. And john over at jafstram confirmed that these guys are cheap! Want you to pay top dollar for a car but would send you to a regular shop to get you brakes and car looked at after they just sold you a foreign car. Terrible business i will never refer nor deal with these people again! PS THE GUY CHRIS DONT GO TO HIM!!!!! TERRIBLE SALES MAN

I bought a used van from Gormleys, rt 130 Gloucester, on 12/13/10. Mazda mpv, yr 2000. We tried a few vans before purchasing this one, they all had some kind of prblm with them, this was the best of the bunch but the check engine lite was on & it needed an altinator. Gormleys promised to make the lite go off & fix the altinator if we buy. They did & we bought. 2 days later the lite came back on again. We went back but they said."too bad, you signed an as is agreement." Since then we replaced spark plugs & wires, battery, starter (which turned out to be the fly wheel & we replacd that too, who replaces a fly wheel?) Then the steering wheel kept sticking, that turned out to be the child safety latch. we replaced the wiper blades & arms, some clamps were missing & we put them on. replaced 2 front ball joints, ignition coil & pcv valve. The reason the check engine lite was on is cause it needed a cat converter but we couldn't get enough money together to fix that cause we kept having to fix everything else. Then just when we had the money together the transmission went, 3,500.00. We still owed 1,300.00 on it & didn't even have it a year. Due to it being a foreign car, parts were very expensive & can only be gotten from a Mazda dealer. I called Gormleys & they said to come & look at another car. We did but of 5 vans none were worth buying. All had major prblms. We gave them my van back & walked out. Now they're sending me past due notices. When I talked to the owner, Mike, he said,"what do you expect, it's a used van." I said, "For the money I spent I expect at least a year out of it." Again it was an I don't care attitude from him. PEOPLE, DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!!! scam artists.

BEWARE.....DO NOT BY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! THEY SOLD ME A CLUNKER....ONLY HAD MY 2001 CAR FOR 3 MONTHS AND IT NEEDED TO GO IN THE SHOP AFTER 1 MONTH. THE OTHER DAY I WAS DRIVING ON 295 AND IT STARTED TO SMOKE AND JUST TURNED OFF, I COULD OF BEEN KILLED!!!! NOW THE CAR NEEDS 6,000.00 WORTH OF WORK AND THIS IS MORE THEN WHAT THE CAR IS WORTH!!!!!

I am writing this review of Gormley's Auto to talk about the quality and service of this Used Car Dealership. My family and I have been dealing with Gormley's for the last 20 years. I have 9 members of my family currently driving a car from Gormley's Auto including myself. Everytime I have gone in looking for a car I have been treated very professionally by the salesmen and they were always willing to help me find the right car. I have never had a problem with the serice or quality of this dealership. Currently, my 4 brothers,2 sisters,mother, and 2 nephews all drive a car purchased from this dealership. The salesmen their everytime were willing to help us find an affordable car, and we have not had one problem with the vehicles. I'm writing this to say that most of the time people deal with used car dealerships, we go into the shop sceptical of the car we want to purchase and are always on the defensive thinking that we are going to purchase a lemon. At Gormley's Auto, this is not the case. It is one of the rare Used Car Dealerships around that is the opposite. I recommend Gormley's Auto in Glousceter City, New Jersey to anyone looking to purchase a used car.

I have been using this dealership for the last 10 years and have had nothing but exceptional service and reliable vehicles. In 1997 I purchased my first vehicle from their lot (a 95 Toyota Celica with 36K miles) and drove that vehicle until 2 months ago; trading it in with over 200K miles and never a repair over $500. I also purchased a vehicle for my wife there last year and have been nothing but satisfied with the car and its performance. My business drives a Gormley's automobile and my brother also is driving in a Gormley's car. Again, I have used this dealership extensively and have recommended them to just about everyone I know. If it were not for their orientation to customer satisfaction and ensuring their vehicles performance I would not bother to drive 400 miles from North Carolina for a vehicle. I highly recommend this dealership to everyone looking for a used car or truck.

I purchased a used vehicle on Monday, 11/19/07 from Gormley's Auto Center located in Gloucester City, NJ 856-742-1001. When I went to the car lot, I was advised that the vehicle I was interested in, had just been delivered to their lot 2 days prior. I gave a $1,000 deposit. While my husband & I were completing the paperwork, my husband specifically asked, "If this car breaks down in a week, will we get our money back or another car?" And the saleslady (Mary) responded, "Yes, that would not be a problem, call me and we will work something out". So with that reassurance, we signed the documents and took delivery of the vehicle. Two days after we bought the car [Wednesday 11/21/07], the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. We went up to the dealer and we spoke with Jim. He told us to give their mechanic a call. We called the car dealer's mechanic that evening [11/21/07] but because they were closing, we were advised that we couldnt bring the car in until Monday [11/26/07] b/c they were going to be closed due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Since I was unable to drop the vehicle off on Monday [11/26/07] due to lack of transportation to/from work, we planned on dropping the car off on Tuesday [11/27/07]. However, on Tuesday, November 27th, the vehicle broke down. I contacted the dealer and after getting the run-around for about 1/2 hour, the dealer's towtruck came and picked up the vehicle. The following day, I contacted Mary [saleslady] and advised her of all the problems with the car, so that she could let the mechanic know. When I called the dealer back to inquire into the status of the vehicle, I was advised that the mechanic said that the motor blew. Basically the dealer is trying to blame me for blowing the engine and will not refund me any of my deposit or even work with me to get another car. I had the vehicle for 7 days and the engine blew? I find that hard to believe. When I went back to the dealer to see if anything can be resolved, a different manager spoke with me and my husband and wasn't willing to help us out in any way. Basically I spent $1,000 to use a car for 7 days! I would like someone to investigate into this because I have been advised that this has happened to someone else who bought a vehicle from this dealer and their transmission blew. All I would like is for my deposit to be returned to me.
