I’ve always had 5 star service at Hendrick Toyota and this visit was no different. The Assistant Service Advisor met me in the service lane for my scheduled appointment and kept me up to date during the entire service process. I normally don’t wait, but had to this time and the service was completed in the estimated time. The service area for the customers was clean, quiet, comfortable and provided free coffee service. A great customer experience. I left a happy customer. 5 STARS with Sean.

Fantastic service from Luis Colon!! He is knowledgeable, friendly, and very patient! He worked with me to find a car that was just right for me. Luis knows his vehicles and explains everything in terms that the customer can understand. There is no hard sell here! I was here on vacation when I had an issue with my Tundra. Spoke to Brandon in parts and he was professional, helpful and made sure the part was available for my repair. He then put me in touch with Chasity in service and she listened to my issue and I was on vacation in the area, so I had limited availability to get the repair done. She was great. Got me scheduled got the repair done and had me on my way, with some personal touch about the area (restaurants, sites and beaches). Very helpful. These two individuals made the experience very positive. They are an example of why I use Toyota dealers for any and all repairs. Thank you for service that was the best!!!!

Very prompt greeting on arrival and quick service.Website looks good until you try to use it then it gets iffy. Service Associate was most helpful in explaining some of the ins and outs of the Maintenance program. 5/3/21 Update: Great customer service. Efficient work for Recall. I just wish the main office would have called when the part was in like they said they would in the letter mailed out 3 months ago. But like I said, the Service Dept was most efficient.

I was in the market for a new car and was a little apprehensive due to horror stories I have heard of awful pushy experiences being the norm when car buying. My dad and I were so pleasantly surprised with our Hendrick Toyota experience in Wilmington. It was the first place we went and I was skeptical that we wouldn't find the right car on the first try. The sales associates were so knowledgeable, helpful and never did we feel pushed to make a decision. I am so happy with my Toyota Corolla and can't wait to continue going to Hendrick for service and future car purchases.

Having been an F&I and Sales Manager at a large dealership I am always uneasy when I drive onto the property of a dealership. My wife and I were welcomed by a young man that asked if he could help us. When we told him we were there to look at a vehicle they had advertised we allowed him to help us. He showed us the vehicle, explained it's options and mentioned what an unusually nice vehicle it was to be 2012. Drove it like it and viewed his offer, we countered and they accepted our offer. The entire process was painless because of his professional approach and never being pushy, we will certainly consider purchasing for them in the future.

It was overall a good experience. Got the car I wanted at around the price I needed it to be. The salesman I worked with was Brian Carlisle. He was very helpful in getting me in the right vehicle to fit my needs. All the employees were very friendly and didn't mind helping to chase my 2 year old around while I completed the buying process.

I went to Hedrick Toyota to pick up my husband who was having his Toyota truck serviced. I had been car shopping at other dealers (kind of stuck on another car at the time). I told a car salesman what I had been looking at and next thing you know I am driving a 2015 loaded Rav 4... bought it. A few weeks later I went back to pick up my plates- they did everything except roll out the red carpet. Nice experience. Thank you.

I recently purchased a 2017 Camry and I love it!! It looks sporty and is very comfortable to drive. The design of the car is very nice from the inside and out. I love how there are hand free options on the steering wheel to keep me from having to divert my eyes from the road.The service I received when I purchased my vehicle was top notch. This was my best car buying experience . I went on line and indicated I would like to discuss a purchase. I received a call from Hendrick Toyota of Wilmington, NC within hours. I detailed the car I wanted, a Toyota Avalon Limited, gray metallic with black interior. I received a call a day later. We discussed price.I stated my bottom line . Received a call in minutes....done deal!This was my second Avalon Limited. My 2005 has 235,000 miles with no major issues. I'm hooked on Toyota .

We decided to take a look at a new Toyota Corolla to take advantage of the zero % financing for 7 years that was being offered by Hendrix Toyota in Wilmington, NC. We were hooked up with an excellent, no pressure, not pushy salesman, Jake Scott!!! We had a 2009 Pontiac G6 hardtop convertible to trade in that had 68,000 miles on it in good condition. Jake let us take a test drive on one and loved it!!! When the trade in value came in we were extremely pleased and made a deal for the 2016 Corolla. Jake had to find the one we wanted in Apex, NC and it arrived 2 days later for pick up. The entire experience was outstanding all the way through to financing and pick up!!!

We purchased a 2016 Prius Three Touring and love it. It's the third new Prius we have bought from this dealership and we couldn't be more pleased. The newly designed Prius is so much more refined and a huge step up from our 2013 model. I also owned a 2003 Tacoma which has never given me a problem and still runs like new. My wife and I have purchased many new cars over the years, our first was a 1976 Celica GT. This past weekend we went to the Hendricks Toyota in Wilmington, NC!!! We brought our 2009.Pontiac G6 hardtop convertible with us for a trade in estimate. We had Jake Scott as a salesman, who was not pushy, great personality, intelligent and extremely knowledgeable of the Toyota line of vehicles. We explained what we wanted, went for a test drive and loved the Toyota Corolla and we're give an excellent quote on our trade in!!! We proceeded to pick out the color that we wanted and other features like moon roof and Sirius/XM radio. The car was not in stock at the dealer but Jake found us one in Apex, NC and had it brought over to pick up on Saturday afternoon at 4:30. We can't say enough positive remarks about what an excellent salesman he is. We will recommend him to others that are interested in a new Toyota. Super job Jake!!!!

This was our first time buying a new vehicle. Our highlander was a difficult color combination to come across, but they found it for us and had it brought in. Furthermore, they don't waste your time and try to up sell you. Couldn't get sales manager, Adam, on the phone to ask some questions that would help us find the most expeditious way to get our stranded Lexus fixed from long distance. Of course, he never returned the message we were forced to leave for him, either. Poor customer service. They lost our service business and our interest in their used cars.

After a weekend, out-of-town car breakdown, tried to talk to sales manager, Adam, on a Sunday to ask a few questions that would help us understand the most expeditious way to handle towing and repairs. He wouldn't take my call, and when the receptionist took a message, she assured me that he would call back. Surprise! Surprise! He never called me back. They lost our repair business and our interest in their used cars. Way to go Hendrick!

Awesome experience at Hendrick Toyota in Wilmington. I bought my Highlander from Josh in December and loved my SUV. I was in a bad accident in April and totaled it but only had one bruise on me thank God. I was so satisfied with my car that I had to back and get another one. I love my Highlander and wouldn't drive anything else. Josh does a great job and made sure I bought the car from him again.

While I loved my '02 RAV4 it was time for me to reward myself with a new car. Upside down on my current car, with limited income, I was willing to wait for the right trade-in, but needed to find the a sales person that would be on the "look-out" for what I needed and dealership that would work with the negative equity in my current vehicle. My friend suggested Brian Gottry at the local Toyota Dealership. I called him and explained my situation, my price range and my needs. He got in touch with me a couple of months later with information on a trade-in that was perfect. I have him on the look out now for another trade-in for my Daughter's first car. After dealing with several different dealers and sales people, it is rare to find a combination of a good sales person willing listen to your wants and needs that works at a dealership that will help with you make it a reality. I found both at Hendrick Toyota.

I had already selected the vehicle I wanted the night before, approved, and was ready to go sign paperwork the next morning. Rose walked out to meet us as we shopped on the Hendrick Toyota-Wilmington used car lot. If not for Rose we wouldnt have left the lot last weekend with a Prius Hybrid. We were looking at the available Prius vehicles but werent sure what the Prius had to offer compared to other SUV/hatchbacks we had been considering. Over the next few hours Rose educated us on the value, history, and features of Toyotas Prius.Leaving us to ourselves to discuss and research the Prius we decided it was the best selection for our needs which were fuel efficiency, product features, and interior space. Once we selected the vehicle Rose handled the price and services negotiations very professionally. She guided us through the vehicle prep., sales execution, and vehicle delivery processes and we left very happy with the entire experience. A week has passed and we know we made the right decision. I highly recommend working with Rose and the Hendrick Toyota sales team.

I had to buy a new car because my car got flooded out, it was a Toyota Sienna 2011 and I really liked my car. I decided to look at comparable vehicles before driving the Toyota again. I stopped by Toyota and met Chad and told him I only wanted to look at an SUV a little smaller than the van and that I would not drive it till I drove others. Chad showed me the Highlander. After driving other SUV's that were comparable I went back to drive the Toyota Highlander. I was sold as soon as we left the lot. Chad was an amazing salesperson. I got my RAV4 recently when my 11 year old KIA threw a shoe and the cost to repair was more than I wanted to spend. My wife had recently leased a Corolla from Hendrick's and it only made sense to go back for me. Her boss recommend Kurt Hartl as the guy to talk to, as that's who she gets her company trucks from. And that's what I did. Kurt is a great guy, years of experience in the dealership and a great guy all around. He walked me through the process, talked about what I wanted and needed. No pressure and no rush. I ended up with the vehicle I have now, with a "Blizzard Pearl" exterior and "Latte" interior (who thinks up these colors?) whom I have named "SNOW". And my Sister-in-law and her husband also leased a car there and its ending soon and they'll be going back to talk to Kurt. The dealership is laid out well, the people there are friendly and helpful and other than the lack of a Coke machine on the first floor, I have no complaints. I recommend Hendrick Toyota Scion of Wilmington to anyone and everyone looking for a good deal on a great car.

My experience at Hendricks was awesome. I went knowing exactly what I wanted and was not going to be turned away from something different unless absolutely possible. I had been car shopping and everyone always wanted to talk me into something else. I wanted a newer model Camry with navigation...preferably a SE. I was greeted with a smile immediately by Jay (awesome salesman) and immediately he began to look for me. I wanted black but unfortunately there was not black in stock. However he did find a 2016 SE Camry (with navigation) in a Cosmic Grey Mica color. If you ever want to be low key get a cosmic grey mica color! It looks about 3 different colors throughout the day. In the sunlight it looks a deep green, in the afternoon a blue, and later evening/night black. I fell in love with it! Jay did everything he could to make it work for me and I left with my dream car. It was a pleasant experience with friendly people and a very clean environment.

No free car washes here unless you are willing to wait again. Past 2 times asked for wash and did not get until the 1st time I asked why and they took it back. Second time I just left. They will not remove my ex-husband's name from this account with his address and telephone number. Have asked several times. Paint is popping off of car. Told to call Toyota!! Last alignment they had to refund because someone that knew about the printout said it was no more than if someone had bumped into your door mirror. Service manager agreed and refunded money. What if that person had not looked at this????

Hendrick Toyota was great to deal with in the service department. I dropped my car off at 9 am for it's 25,000 mile service and state inspection, expecting to pick it up later in the evening. About a half hour later I received a call that my car was ready to be picked up. I never thought they'd have it ready that quick.

I came in to look at a Prius and was impressed not only by the car, but by the non-pressure sales effort. While I had some issues with the finance end of the business (who doesn't?), the dealership was very clean, with great amenities in its service area. A free Starbucks kiosk, separate seating for those of us waiting on their cars who did not want to watch TV, and friendly service personnel all added to the experience. One month into my new Prius ownership, I would highly recommend this dealer.

My pride and joy is a 2005 Toyota Tundra, purchased from a private individual some time ago. When I found out through safercar.gov that my truck was part of the dreaded air-bag recall, I scheduled an appointment with Hendricks Toyota in Wilmington NC. I was given an apt immediately, on my schedule, and the service was performed as promised. In addition, I was shuttled to my office and picked up and returned to the dealership when the truck was ready, all part of Hendrick's great service, not to mention Starbucks coffee and sweetrolls at no charge also! They always let me know what service is needed and what needs are on the horizon. I never feel pressured - but always informed. My review will be a bit different as I worked as an Internet Sales Manager and Service Advisor for another Toyota Dealership in the recent past. Visited the Service Dept on Wed of this week for a routine 10k service (oil change and rotate). Made an appointment in advance instead of just driving in as to expedite the service. Arrived 2nd in line with no other vehicles, parked and remained in the vehicle. The first vehicle was greeted and moved on as a 3rd vehicle now entered. Instead of coming to me they went to the next vehicle as I still patiently sat in my vehicle. After sometime passed 3-4 minutes they let the other vehicle go. Then everyone leaves the drive while I am still waiting in my vehicle. A young man eventually came up from the parking lot and into the drive only to say someone will be right with me. A few more minutes pass and I was ready to drive off. I could see through the glass service advisors looking at me but when I made eye contact they would pick up a phone or walk out into the main waiting area. Finally a young man named Travis came and greeted me, asked the usual questions and took my key. He offered a free wash and showed me where the waiting area was to spend time why services were being rendered. (enjoyed the free wash except all the same bug and bird droppings were still on the vehicle) The waiting area was nice, clean and had many amenities. My oil change, rotate and basic wash took about 2 hrs. I am a little concerned about why it took 2 hrs to do these things? I asked if there was anything that needed to be done when my vehicle was ready and was told no. Then asked if they were going to give a report on the vehicle and they said no that it would be emailed. When I did get the email it said that my engine and cabin filters were dirty but wasn't offered for them to be replaced...why? Overall it was a good visit and will ask for Travis on my next visit. Like I said in the beginning having worked both in Sales and Service for Toyota in the very recent past, my review would be written from this point of view. Questions I would like addressed are: Why did the basic service take this long? Why should someone make an appointment if there is no one available at that time to start the service process at the appointed time? Why offer a wash if they are not going to wash bird droppings off of the vehicle? Done well: EVERYONE was super nice! Very clean service drive and waiting area! Free water, coffee and Danish! Many options of places to sit and wait on vehicles! Sales staff is friendly and they do not "shark" the waiting area! Definitely would recommend friends and family to visit this dealership.

I would never take my car anywhere else. I had it towed in on Monday and it was done and picked it up on Tuesday AM. All of the service reps are so helpful and I can get an answer on the phone if needed. It is really a great relief to have such helpful people to work with. As I do not live very close to the dealership, I appreciate prompt service when I do come in.

I went to another dealer, closer to my home. I checked his inventory and he had exactly the color and the options I wanted on my Prius. When I met the salesman, he said that that car did not exist, and if it did, he could not possibly sell it to me for that price. The website is written for the sole purpose of getting a customer physically into the dealership, he informed me. He had three Prius vehicles on the lot, and he proceeded to sell me one of those, which was not the color or the options I wanted. He then insisted that I was buying the car right then and there. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed. I later talked to a good friend, who recommended that I talk to Bruce Winokur, Loyalty Manager at Toyota of Wilmington. Even though it was a Saturday, Bruce promptly returned my call. I told him my story; he asked what I was looking for, and then said he would get back to me. He called back on Monday, to tell me he found my car Kurt, the salesman was exemplary, as was Skip, the financing person. It was a great experience, and completely unlike the first dealer. Toyota of Wilmington found the car that I wanted to buy, not one that was simply part of the inventory.

If they do multi-inspections do they never check the battery? The battery was low when leaving from the dealership yesterday!!!! Could they have gave you a full battery before leaving? Not very good wifi connection for mobile phones & I didn't see any wifi connection info; Danish & starbucks coffee machines & tea you have to donate money!!! Was it the lady that drove the vehicle back in rolled down my window & air conditioning was on. The automatic paper towel dispenser was jammed right inside & I had fixed it when I was getting my paper towel!! You are the 1 & only Toyota dealership in Wilmington that I know of & none of my friends live in the area; & if they did they probably don't have a Toyota vehicle!!!

I have to be careful with what I say because I really like Toyota & after I address issues with the local Toyota Service Dept, they are exceptionally accommodating. The salespeople are not accommodating at all. Before Hendrick bought this dealership, it used to be called Baughman Toyota & had a reputation of high priced cars with little negotiation in an effort to keep their stock high. That was the word around town. This changed a little when Hendrick took over, but there are some salespeople who don't want to give up anything. I've owned 3 Siennas & now have a 2012 Prius & 2012 Prius V. Wilm Toyota couldn't deal with us on the Prius V, but we found that one at Massey Motors in Kinston at a really good price. Massey Motors is not a Hendrick dealership. My mother-in-law really liked our Prius's & wanted one of her own. She just happened to go to lunch with one of the Wilm Toyota's salesperson's mother just before purchasing last year, but had ridden in our Prius's & had conversations with us months prior. The Salesperson gave the referral fee to his mother in lieu of giving it to me because his mother called him before I did telling him my mother-in-law was interested. A lot of the salespeople know me from my past purchases, but no one willing to help in this case. There is a very special, unpublished system to get the referral fees. I even accompanied her on the entire deal, taking 3+ hours, & supported the salesperson's efforts. My mother-in-law was ready to walk without making a deal if I recommended it. I took my wife's Prius V in last week because I thought the windshield washer bottle had a leak & was covered under warranty. I waited just under 2 hours only to find out that it wasn't a warranty item & would cost $435 to fix. I was told the mechanic looked under the bumper with a flashlight, but didn't remover the bumper, which probably took all of about 10 minutes. Toyota advised thought it was due to a front end accident that occurred fall 2014. Jeff Gordon Body Shop did repairs so I took it back to them today. They found that the hose to the bumper pump that sends water to the headlight, came lose. They fixed it in about 15 minutes at NO CHARGE & no more leak. I saved $435 by not allowing Wilm Toyota to fix it! They said the Toyota place could have fixed it quickly & easily. Oh well...

Received a letter in the mail about a recall on my 2015 Highlander Limited Platinum. Made an appointment for July 1st with Sean Marra. 9:30 am arrival time, was given very good service and car was ready by 11 am. Waiting room is very spacious and comfortable with complimentary Starbucks coffee. Car wasn't on the recall list. I would highly recommend Hendrick Toyota, and the Highlander. The technology in this car is amazing.

I was very excited about the vehicle that I found, though my excitement was short lived. When it came to the negotiation, the "we are here to make a deal" approach quickly and quite arrogantly disappeared. The salesman was pushy and told me during the negotiation that he could have sold the car earlier that day to another local dealership. So basically Hendrick Toyota would rather sell cars to area dealerships than to work out deals with customers. The salesman was surprised and taken back when I questioned him on the pricing and could back up my questions with factual data/figures. The cliche holds true...good experience you tell 3 people; bad experience you tell 10 people. I can't wait to find 10 people to tell them about my utterly disappointing experience with Hendrick Toyota.

I purchased a service plan when I bought my 1999 Land Cruiser form Hendrick. I made an appt. for 245 for an oil change, arrived at 235 and was wisked into the service area and greeted. The service attendant greeted me and noticed that my registration was about to expire and asked if I would like them to inspect the car. I replied I did. I then was seated in the lobby for 2 1/2 hours. At that time the service manager came out and explained that I needed a steering rack in order to pass inspection. The price was $845. I would have expected that if there was a delay that I would have been informed, but was not. I was disappointed as previous service there was excellent. Bobbie Burn

Upon entering the dealership, we were greeted by a friendly and genuine sales representative. He kindly showed us the cars in which we were interested, answered all of our questions knowledgeably, and even took us for a test drive in our top choice. AND, he did all this without pushing us to purchase the vehicle. His authenticity about caring for us as customers, not just a potential sale, shined in the entire interaction. After considering our budget, we returned a few days later to purchase the vehicle and were just as pleased by our interaction he business manager who facilitated the paperwork. I had a good repair experience. My "Check Engine" light came on, and the service rep decided based on my history that it was probably something minor, as opposed to major. So, she set up a "step wise" diagnostic process that saved me money and isolated the problem in a cost efficient way.

My husband had just passed away and I had a 20 and a 25 year old car to get rid of. The sales staff and financial staff clustered around me and two days later I had a brand new 2009 Camry and have had no issues with the car. Its resale value was so high (and I could not find a used Corolla or Camry) that I decided to give it to my grandson and buy myself a 2015 Camry - I love the features and, if that was possible, my buying experience was even better - used Kris again as a salesperson. The service department is helpful and knowledgeable and I am grateful to be able to call them with any concerns.

Fantastic experience from Internet services to in shop buying. All parties were helpful, still car salesmen but not pushy. I could not have had a better experience in taking my car in for it's 10K maintenance check up. The whole system works - I remember when you'd come into a dealership and have to wait, and then get your car in and then have to wait....this process is so streamlined and I am so glad! My car was ready in no time and I received the oral breakdown of the service and ALSO got an explanation and checkpoints sent to my email that I was able to share with my husband so he knows what's what with my car as well. First I would like to say that the sales person I dealt with was extremely friendly and easy to get along with. So much so that I allowed his character to persuade my purchase and that was a mistake as the finance department is awful. This has nothing to do with price (although I knew they were 1750 higher than a dealer in Greenville I just did), or credit as mine is fine, but in transparency. I don't mind them making money as it is a business but to blatantly lie and mislead the customer is wrong. We met with Skip, a young finance person there, and he was perhaps the rudest individual I have encountered in purchasing a vehicle (which is saying a lot as we do so every two years). I was out dealing speaking with Willie, the sales person, as Skip mislead my wife about several aspects of the financing taking on what extra warranties as he could and acting as if she had no option. By the time I arrived he was so offensive and arrogant that we decided to leave and come back the next day. I spoke with his boss the next day and he sat me down in front of Skip to work this out. This guy had the audacity to say " Sir not to be blunt but I did not have to try to explain anything to you or help your wife out in this or that way..." I told this to his manager and nothing came of it. Moreover they are now calling us saying they made a mistake on the paper work and need us to come back in and resign things. Basically they made a mistake that is costing them a little money, not much, and refuse to issue the title until we help them fix it. I could go on with specifics but the point is they told my wife that certain financial components were set by Toyota and not them or the bank but then called and said they made a mistake and needed to adjust the very things they said they could not. This is why car dealers get a bad reputation and the sad thing is the sales person was amazing. Just be honest guys especially with my wife and I. We are fortunate to afford new vehicles and don't mind you making a profit as it is a business but don't lie to squeeze out a few extra hundred buck. The fact that Skip still has his job after how he treated my wife and I speaks to how you value your customer. You have a great facility and some strong sales people from what I could tell but the people who close the last part of the deal (the most important part and what should be the most transparent) are awful. I would recommend for people to search in Greenville and Raleigh if they are looking for a Toyota. The prices are better and trust me it will be hard to find a worse finance department!

The facility was VERY CLEAN and from the appointment process through the picking up of my car everyone was courteous and friendly. My car had to stay overnight and I don't live close to the dealership so they made sure I was able to get back and forth with no problems. My service manager was Mark Yandell and he was extremely helpful and courteous.

I called and made an appointment to have some recalls fixed on my vehicle. The man on the phone was helpful, made my appointment and asked for details about the service. When I arrived for my appointment (9am) the woman who greeted us was friendly and focused. She got all my information and sent us on our way. She also made a prompt call when the repairs were finished. This is where it all went downhill or maybe I should not have expected the check-out process to be easy. We pulled up and had to search for an employee to assist us. There were about 20 roaming around but no one acknowledged us as we stood in the middle of the service department. I finally walked inside and went up to a Gentleman on the phone and asked for assistance. He did hang up promptly but seemed confused that I was there to pick up my car (what car? who are you? did you get a call?). Another man jumped in to help and said "it's on the way!" We then stood outside NO JOKE for 25 minutes waiting for my vehicle that I could have walked to! I couldn't believe it. Toyota called to say my car was ready but it obviously wasn't. When they finally brought it around (first brought a car that was not ours and asked if it was) no one told us it was sitting in the bay until we asked for the THIRD time. I don't know if it was super busy but maybe Toyota should offer patrons the choice to pick up their car or if they wanted it brought around. I am in the market for a new car and want the Toyota Solara; I will certainly head out of town for this purchase. I am done with Hendrick....keep your car wash!

The best car buying experience I have had. Within seconds of walking in the doors I was greeted by a sale rep. Trey was professional and knowledgeable about the vehicles I was interested in. I want to thank Mark Rogers and Bruce Winokur for their patience through the struggles of decision for us. I would like to forward this email to a Mr. Doug Thompson regarding the loyalty program that Mr. Winokur works with. This is a great approach to selling and making the customer feel like part of the Toyota family. Having worked with customer service and public relations in the US Government I can tell you that this approach is A-1. I do understand what providing service for customers on their vehicles can be like, for I too used to work in a dealership as a service advisor. It was a fairly large operation much like Hendrick's here in Wilmington. I remember how so very many things were required of me. I decided to go back to grad school to be a special education teacher because it was easier and it paid better. The service department at Hendrick's is about as top-notched as they come. I've owned other types of cars - average to pretty nice vehicles. I've experienced numerous encounters with different dealers and independent mechanics. (My grandfather was an exceptionally talented mechanic who cared for his community and went way beyond what was expected of him to be good to others...way beyond!) I can honestly say I've experienced that same spirit in the service department through the service manager at Hendrick's. Recently traded in three cars and bought one new and one slightly used. Experience was on both simply outstanding. Having bought many cars over the years (not in North Carolina) I was expecting the worst (like prior experiences). Quite the contrary. Hendrick Toyota staff are all friendly, courteous, honest, and represents the business with the same humanity that they would outside of that environment. Blake our salesperson was helpful beyond the call of duty. He responded to our needs not as an obligation but with a real desire to be helpful. Everyone we delt with did likewise. My family was looking for an environmentally-friendly car to replace our Highlander SUV. We stopped in at Hendrick Toyota, where we bought our Highlander in 2009, to check out what cars were on sale and Rose, a member of the sales team, showed us around the lot. We were hooked on a Prius but decided to come back later once we were sure of the purchase. Rose kept in touch and once we were ready to make the purchase, she made the process as painless as possible. It is a month later and we love our Prius! I have visited Hendrick Toyota of Wilmington for service on both of my Toyota vehicles since moving to Wilmington, NC. Overall I am happy with the service I receive there. I recently purhcased a used Toyota Camry in Nov. 2014 and I am happy with the purchase. One thing that could have made the purchase better was if the car came with floor mats (they were not included since it was a used vehicle.) As far as the service department goes I have been satisfied. One thing that could be improved on is the speed of completing the service. One particular appointment took over 3 hours for a scheduled oil change. I will continue to go to Hendrick Toyota of Wilmington for my automotive needs.

Our first experience with Hendrick Toyota was when we bought our 2010 Highlander new 5 years ago. When it came time to look for a new car we looked at the Honda Pilot and the Hyundai Sante Fe, but neither compared to the all new Highlander. As good as our 2010 Highlander was, the 2015 is so much better. Hendrick Toyota is awesome too. Our 4 year old didn't want to get rid of the only car she'd ever known, so we told her that the folks at Hendrick were just going to put our Highlander into a big machine to 'upgrade' it to a new one. That she was okay with. The guys at Hendrick played right along. We got a great car, a fair price (without having to fight) and dealt with good people. We'll be back for a 2020 Highlander in 5 years.

after market cruise, first time it was an issue, they fixed it immediately (still under warranty) later, same thing happened (cruise turned off when i hit a bump) also, my passenger floor was soaking wet in summer and to the point of ruining my fan motor. another mechanic replaced parts but could not figure out why it was leaking so bad. so i took it to the dealer, figured they would know. they had the car for a day and a half, they insisted my cruise worked fine and my a/c did not leak, guess what, cruise still doesn't work well and my floor still gets wet (turns out if i lift the floor board up, there is a hose, if i blow in it once a week or so, it will not leak) , charged me to tell me they could not fix it. i went for another problem, but they wanted sky high to fix, luckily, i did not pay, it ended up being a recall a year or so later. last straw? i took it in for another recall (which they fixed and did not charge me for) however, i asked them to look at brakes because they squeak when i let off pedal, they charged me 107.00$ just to look at it! i was NOT prepared for that bill, then they wanted to charge additional $250.00 to change my rear pads, really? no thank you. i was planning on buying a new tacoma at first of the year, now i DEFINATELY will not! also, when i went to pick up my car, i had to wait about 15-20 minutes, and finally a lady (she was really nice) came and opened my car up for me.

Love the cars. Bought a Tacoma and a RVV4 within 6 months. The buying process only got 2 starts because it just took way too long for my taste. I also thought it was very funny when the finance guy (after all was agreed with the sales guys) walked up to me with some papers and said "So we are buying a RAV4 today?"....I answered: "well, I am, but I am not sure what role you intend to play in my live from here on".

The sales process was very smooth and the sales person was excellent. We are very pleased with our new Avalon. The only negative comment is relative to the dealers website and the information imparted thereon. The website clearly listed two options on this vehicle which were not there. In fairness I must state that these options were not common for the model level which we were interested in; however, we all know dealers make all kind of modifications to the vehicles they sell - and I did not question (my fault). The bottom line is that we could have been sold a more expensive model which had these options( which would have included some we did not want). This resulted in both both us and the dealer losing due to what was probably a webpage coding error. Even with the above we are very pleased with our new vehicle and the overall service.

When we arrived at Hendrick Toyota we had no idea of which car we wanted to buy. Our salesteam, Brian and Naomi, knew about the cars on the lot and answered all of questions. We even left for the night and came back 2 days later with no pressure to buy a car. We decided on the 2014 Toyota Prius V. The only slow part was financing and paperwork. I was disappointed at first that my usual service rep was not there, and I had to deal with someone else. However, I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism by a young man named James. When I returned after lunch to continue waiting for my car (4 new tires and brake service) to be finished, I learned that my usual service rep, Wil Taylor, had taken over my service. Wil is excellent; always keeps me informed and is very respectful and professional. The waiting area is always clean and comfortable. I dropped my Prius off because the check engine light and a rather alarming looking warning triangle lit up. I agreed to a $110 diagnostic, since the fee would be applied to any needed repairs. It turned out that a water pump was due to be replaced for recall. The team replaced it and another part due for recall, washed the car and had it all done in two hours. Nice job, Toyota :)

Very informed sales staff and no pressure. I went in for an oil change and just asked to be shown what new safety features had been added since I bought my car. After ten years, it is basically a whole different car and so much safer that I decided to take a look and drive one. They had one I liked and I went home with my new car right then. The sales staff were so professional and really made it easy and fun. This is from someone who doesn't usually enjoy the purchasing process. They got everything ready for me while I went home to let my dog out and even helped me unload stuff from my old car since I was trading it in. The oil change was not charged and they set up everything on the new car with blue tooth technology and gave me a little tutorial on all the equipment. I drove home in my new car after they filled the gas tank and changed my tags. They even called my insurance company who gave me a call when I got home.

I had to get no the phone and the service writer stated he didn't know if the car was under warranty but we would just let us off the hook given the fact I complained so much. Had enjoyed my 2004 Toyota Sienna, but with over 200,000 miles, I needed to consider a new vehicle. Had studied my options for a vehicle getting over 40 mpg and when I saw a Prius V, I talked with that owner who highly recommended Kris. So I appeared one day and asked for Kris. He was occupied but had another salesman help me until he was free. Together they answered all my questions and took me for a test drive. Of course, there was pressure to buy that day; however, I wasn't ready to buy yet. But called a few days later, after more on-line studying, and bought my new vehicle. As I have had questions, I've gotten excellent feedback from various folks on what I needed to learn about my new hybrid vehicle. Everyone has been wonderful. It won't be long before I get to experience the service department, for in less than a month, I have driven my new Prius V over 2,000 miles. Look forward to working with folks for many years.

I recently purchased a 2014 Toyota 4Runner SR5. The sales associate I worked with was Kristine. She was a very effective communicator and through utilizing this attribute quickly narrowed down the vehicles and options I was most interested in without wasting my time. The sales process went very well from start to finish and I am happy to say it was due mainly to her strong work ethic, product knowledge and yearning to please the customer. I will recommend this dealer to friends and family due to the knowledgeable and courteous staff. The reason for not giving a great mark falls on the detail / service department. Upon receipt of the vehicle my wife and I observed what appeared to be several drops of hard glue like drops on the driver side windows and paint along with an approximate 6 inch scratch on the front left quarter panel. I understand that I purchased the vehicle on a Sunday and the appropriate personnel may not have been working and I am in the process of getting that rectified. All in all it has been a great experience and I hope to continue to work with the dealership in the future. May 2013 my husband and I purchased a 2013 Toyota Sienna from Hendrick Toyota of Wilmington, and we were incredibly pleased with the buying experience. So about a week ago we returned to buy a 2006 Toyota Sienna to have as a second vehicle. We did not shop around, we went straight to Hendrick, because we greatly appreciated their previously excellent level of customer care. The sales associate, Katrina was curt with me and failed to acknowledge me throughout the transaction. Afterward, she text messaged my husband from her private cell phone on two occasions. On top of her already unprofessional behavior, this was not okay with me. I called and spoke to Jack Morgan, Retail Operations Director, about the experience. He was incredibly rude and tried to blame the displeasure on my marriage and said it is accepted within the industry to text message customers. Then get a business line to do so! I guarantee that I am not the only woman that would not appreciate a female text messaging her husband, regardless of what the "industry" finds acceptable. He offered no empathy for how such treatment might make a customer feel after spending, well over $44,000 cash at their business! I then called to speak to Doug Thompson, General Manager. I was informed that Mr. Thompson was in that day and I could leave him a voicemail. It has been three days, and I have yet to hear from Mr. Thompson. Ironically enough, my husband totaled our 2013 Toyota Sienna yesterday. Based off of our most recent experience with Hendrick, I would rather spend well over market value for a vehicle than give them our business ever again. What a disgraceful way to treat returning customers!

We walked in ready to buy a car & even though there were several people standing around not one acknowledged. Had to ask someone about a car we were interested in & they said they only had one & pointed outside. After looking at the car we had to go back in to find someone to get the keys to open it up. We passed on that but when we showed interest in another car nothing from the sales person. We are a very presentable middle-aged, middle class+, couple. We left upset and headed to Stevenson Mazda where we were welcomed and bought a car.

I wrote this email to the sales person I worked with at Hendrick Toyota to convey my disappointment in how I was treated in late October 2012. I have taken out the names but the point I believe is clear. After this email I received a nasty phone call telling me that it was mostly my fault and he wasnt really mad so if I wanted to come back I was allowed to. Please read below and let me know if you would have bought this truck. Dear Sir,I wish to convey my disappointment during the past week. For a company that promotes such high customer service, I have yet to experience it.I want you to know that I am inclined to no longer purchase a truck from your establishment. The biggest reason for this decision is the lack of customer service from Hendrick Toyota. I went to look at trucks on Sunday, was met by a gracious sales staff, and was offered a great deal on a new Toyota Tundra. After that the service stopped. I was also told that because it was at another location and pending its availability, it would be at Hendrick Toyota either Monday or Tuesday, and I would be able to pick it up on Tuesday or Wednesday. After no phone call Monday morning, I proceeded to contact the sales representative to see if my truck had arrived, and I had a few questions regarding the paperwork. The sales representative said that he would look into the arrival of the truck and get back to me, and deferred my other questions to a business manager. That was the last time I heard from the sales representative. I called again Tuesday, and asked to speak to a customer representative, specifically stating not a sales person. The receptionist asked why I wanted to speak with a customer service representative. I told her I have a few questions, somewhat vaguely, but I did not feel like I had to explain myself to her. She then told me all of the customer service representatives were busy and transferred to me to a sales person. The sales person told me that they had sent people to pick up my truck today and my truck would arrive later that day. I told him great, and asked when it arrived if he could have someone please take a picture of it so I can show it off at work before I picked it up. I never received a picture. Later that night I called my creditor, and I told them about some of the issues I was having up to that point, mainly with the taxes. So they called Hendrick Toyota, on my behalf, and were subsequently transferred to the original sales representative. I was told by the USAA representative that the original sales representative I was dealing with was with a customer and he would call me back. However, I never received a call.On an unfortunate side note, on Tuesday I talked to one of the gentlemen whom I work with. He had, on the same Sunday I was shopping, bought an identical Toyota Tundra from Stevenson Toyota in Jacksonville. He said, and proved, that he paid $34,500, and I was still on hold with mine and I was paying $35,500. At that point I was a little down on my deal but I assured myself I was paying for customer service. I will be honest, to a reasonable extent price is never the overall deal breaker with me. I want to work with someone who cares about me and my situation. On Wednesday, the financial manager was back from a day off. I called him and discussed with him for over an hour how the taxes worked with Military in the state of Ohio. It was an absurd fight throughout this conversation regarding a state law where I was clearly in the right. I understand that it was difficult, and he eventually conceded to working on it and we hung up. I called him back a little over an hour later to let him know that I might have found him a solution. He told me he had already figured it out, and it was no issue. I thanked him, but I had lost more than 2 hours of my working day dealing with that. At the end, I felt like I had won an arm wrestling contest. We departed our conversation and for the third time in three days I was promised that my truck was on the way and would be ready for pick up on Thursday. I asked if I could get a picture of the truck emailed to me, so that I could show it off at work before I picked up the truck and again I was told that wouldnt be a problem. I never received the picture. It is currently 7:24 pm Thursday and I still have yet to receive a phone call, I dont know if my truck has arrived, and honestly at this point I dont care because, instead of picking up a new truck tonight I am writing this email. Very Respectfully,Former Hendrick Toyota CustomerAfter this email I received a nasty phone call from the Hendrick Toyota sales representative but at least I heard from him. Hendrick Toyota went from Hero to Zero in less than 5 days. After that phone call I never heard from them again. I know that I am posting this a little after the fact but hopefully it shows my enormous disappointment with Hendrick Toyota and their customer service.

My husband and I have prchased two vehicles from Toyota of Wilmington in the past three years. This time around we were shocked by the poor treatment we received. We arrived, CHECK IN HAND, to buy a new 4runner. We were quoted a price we didn't plan on paying, so naturally, we counter offered. Not only did the salesperson not call us back to properly communicate... But when WE called back to check the status of the negotiation (we really wanted the 4runner), we were told that he didn't plan on calling us back bc he couldnt 'go that low'. Really? Not even a COUNTEROFFER!? Give me a break! We couldn't believe it. We were told that they were "just moving a car" and that they couldn't do anything else for us. Wow! I couldn't believe they wouldn't even discuss other options or anything. Guess they're not interested in selling cars. Needless to say we'll be taking our $ elsewhere.

My entire experience at Toyota Scion of Wilmington was pleasant and informative. I was looking for a Prius and had never driven one before. My best friend was in the market for a new car. I recommended that she check out the new Camrys at Wilmington Toyota. I also recommended that she contact Jake Tucker. Jake is a mover and a shaker. He makes people feel safe and that they are not working with just another car salesman out to make a sale. I was actually with her when she bought the car. We are both Nurse Managers and are very busy. I have never seen a deal made so fast and accurate and painless. Kudos to Jake - he was the center of a very successful transaction. My husband and I shared our thoughts to our Sales Representative Mr. Tucker. We told him what we were looking for, what we were willing to pay, and that we want to leave the dealership with a vehicle. I wanted a car with leather and roof racks, which this one was lacking, but before he even let me see it he had both put on the vehicle. We had done a lot of research and knew what car/options we wanted. We had visited a dealership in Raleigh, but were very disappointed in their customer service approach. We were in Southport for a long weekend and decided to check out Toyotas in Wilmington. Judah met us in the parking lot and after listening to want we wanted, he found the car that met our needs. This was my first new car purchase in 12 years and I put a great deal of effort into researching my options and finding a good deal. I spoke with many dealerships throughout Raleigh and other areas, in search of a specific color combo on a new Highlander. I was dissapointed by many of their approaches and pushy attitudes. On a whim, we looked into the Wilmington Toyota dealership and found exactly what we wanted!!! We used to live in Wilmington & actually bought my husband's Forerunner from there 6 years ago, so we were happy to become repeat customers! Chris Radefeld was our sales consultant and did a GREAT job! He was extremely helpful and willing to work with us to meet our needs. His friendly, calm attitude put us at ease and made the process more comfortable! Buying a car can certainly be stressful, and he made it enjoyable. Yes, we will recommend this dealership again and we have. We also have highly recommended Justin Barnett to others. However, we will never sit through another 2 to 3 hour sales pitch from the "financial" office for something we don't want nor need. Nor will we be paying the extra $500 for your paperwork. It is the cost for doing business. We don't like being coerced into paying at least 4 months on a loan so the financial officer gets "his cut". This is why we marked 4 on two of your questions. Everyone else we had dealings with has been more than fair.

THe service department staff is always making sure that I am satisfied with what has been done to my vehicle. i cannot say enough about the great experience i had with this dealership, and particularly my salesman judah. this young man was so patient with me, i came to them after a being treated terribly at the dealership in jacksonville. judah promised me that he would work with me to get me in what i was looking for within my budget.i would give him 10 stars if it were available on here. he not only delivered, but was a human being to me when i had questions or didn't understand something. i must admit i had some anxiety about a new vehicle, and wasn't having the best of weeks to begin with. he not once was arrogant, belittling, or pushy as was my experience at the other place. i have to say as a business owner myself, he is just great at his job. which in todays world you don't find often. along with his impressive patience, he got me an awesome deal, that i can afford, and did i mention I LOVE MY FJ CRUISER! i just have to add as a parent, everyone in there was wonderful to my very excited 4 year old. that itself impressed me as well. she was never treated like an innconveinience.

My new sale was carefully handled by Messers Judah Eastman, Rick Wilson & Dylan Morley. They remained professional and courteous throughout the process and treated me as if I were their one and only customer. During the test drive Mr. Eastman showed interest in my lifestyle so that he could match me with the right vehicle. Even with credit problems, Mr. Eastman perservered to get me a decent sales price and affordable payments. Mr. Wilson handled the paperwork with grace and patience. I would probably call Mr. Morley "The Closer". Not once did I feel rushed or "processed". I am sending my single friends to this dealership to get a car. I have always had good service from this dealership, going on 4 years now. The staff is friendly and my problems are always fixed. Their waiting room is spacious and they have taxi service if you don't want to wait. They are always careful to explain all necessary work before starting. The only issue I have is sometimes it seems to take longer to complete the service than I hope.Overall, I give this dealership a very good rating.

I went with a friend to shop for new cars - either to buy or lease. As we approached the door, 5 or 6 salespeople approached and wouldn't let us just look around. The sales tactics are so pushy and annoying. The person who took us on a test drive made demeaning remarks about middle eastern people, having no idea if that was our background. Overall, he was generally annoying and pushy. He also remarked on the pink ribbon I have on my Toyota and asked why I displayed it. I said that was for my breast cancer. Right after we left he called to ask if he could pray for me. Very inappropriate.My friend and I left as soon as we could and felt like we needed a shower afterward.It's where I got my present car, but I will NOT return!
