Positives: The service rep was friendly and professional; drive-in car service was convenient; a nice loaner car at no cost was a big plus since it took a long time for work to be completed. Also, they cleaned the car before we picked it up and that was a nice touch. Negatives: Extremely expensive repairs for things that I was surprised to learn about in a car with only 32k miles. $5,700+. What gives? Labor costs were astronomical, akin to hourly wages of a cardiothoracic surgeon. And they didn't even inspect our vehicle which was a major reason why I took the car in for service. Yes, the battery needed to be replaced, but $475 for a battery replacement seems pretty outrageous. The charges for other services also seemed highly inflated. At the end of the day, the car works fine. But this dealership needs to have a reality check given the extraordinary costs of service. The quote I was given was $800 LOWER than the final bill. Not a good precedent for a potential long-term customer. 3 stars is probably generous but I'm at least happy the car runs well.

I had the best experience. Mr. Hadi was very professional and knowledgeable. He took time to explain the entire process and the whole thing did not take more than 1 hour and that is the truth. David in the financing was kind and caring and explained all my options. Tristan helped me with showing the car and explaining all its functions. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Amazing experience! Highly recommend Higor and the service team at BMW for any repairs. My car was damaged from a small collision and since I have a leased vehicle from Herb Chambers, I thought it best to bring it directly to them instead of a local shop. No regrets. Not only did they fix everything but they also detailed my car. It looked brand new. I really appreciated the frequent updates and quick turn around. Thanks guys!!

Not only was he informative, but he was so patient and kind regarding any question that I had. He was so accommodating and made an experience (that I usually dread) to an actual nice experience. My father and I walked into Mini of Boston right before it was supposed to close on a Wednesday night, and met an sales associate in minutes, who sat us down and went through every mini thought would suit us. Unlike other dealerships, no one was pushy or sleepy. Everyone working there was so friendly and kind, truly determined to make your life easier. We found the perfect car, with the right color, model, miles, and year. Sam even took us out to test drive that night (because we were so excited). The price was already set, so we didn't have to worry about negotiating. The deal was set within two days and we are more than happy with our experience!

I just took delivery of my third Mini on lease. As with my 2014 Cooperman and my 2011 Cooper, the entire transaction was smooth, open and efficient. This time I have a 2016 Clubman. Norm discussed options with me and my wife, and even let our dog join us for the test rides. Over the last 6 years, most of my visits to Herb Chambers are for service. Once a year for routine stuff and occasionally for something that comes up. Herb Chambers really has servicing customers figured out. From the time you pull in, they are focused on taking care of you and getting the job done. This attention to detail makes the inconvenience of a trip for service as pleasant as owning a cool Mini Cooper.Less frequently are the visits to the sales floor. Because purchasing or leasing a car is done so infrequently, it is so critical that the sales person walk the customer through the process and be a guide first, and sell down the list. That's how working with Norm is done. He explains the features of the current models, helps discuss the options (buy out at end of lease or new vehicle) and find what is right for me. And Norm and the Herb Chambers team handle the red tape and details of the transaction as smoothly. Instead of a traumatic end of lease vehicle inspection, Mark Landy gets the job done. Sorry about D turning down the dog treats Mark, he just isn't into treats!And lastly Norm sits in your new car and walks you through the new features. I have had my eyes on Mini's for years now and over the past few months really began looking into where I could find one that I wanted, if they were really the right fit for me and if a Mini was really going to be in the right price range for my family. I looked at many different dealerships and had actually stayed away from the Boston location because it was a bit more inconvenient for me to get to from where I lived. But when searching online, Herb Chambers of Boston was where I found the most available car's to go look at, so I made an appointment and headed into town. It was honestly the best experience I've ever had in a dealership and it was more because of my dealings with David Lopez than it was the car itself. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the car I purchased (a 2014 certified, pre-owned Countryman AWD), but it was truly working with David that made the experience so much better. As soon as I met David he made me feel comfortable. He was not pushy at all and he really wanted to listen to me and understand what I was looking for. He gave extra attention to not only helping me find a car that I liked, but also one fit with my families needs and in our price range. David made sure to stay right on top of the details whether it was the insurance, registration or financing... He made sure to get back to me all the way through the process and even contacted me to update me during his off time. Due to some holiday delays at the registry, the pick up date for my new ride was going to be delayed; and to put the icing on the cake, David went out of his way to make sue that did not happen. He got all of the paperwork done in time and even took extra time out of his day and brought me the new car himself at my office. He went over every detail of the car in the parking lot of my workplace and made sure that I was happy and ready to drive home with a smile. Then he had to suffer through the traffic back into Boston, while driving my beat up, old Suburu with 150K miles. I love the car I bought and working with David made the process of buying a car as easy, stress free and clean as possible. Thanks so much David and you and the Mini brand will certainly be a recommended to others.

I initially found the car I was interested and contacted the dealership via cars.com. I was contacted by Meghan Zani. We corresponded over email for a few days before I went to the dealership to actually test drive the car. Once there I started working the Andrei Kunevsky. Andrei was great about explaining all steps of the process when it comes to Herb Chambers and used cars. He also took the time to listen to everything I said and worked with me when he could. I haven't bought many cars, but this was one of the better experiences I've had. Both Meghan and Andrei were great to work with and if we are in the market again I would absolutely go back to them.

After endless searches for ideas on what new car to buy I decided I MUST have another mini cooper. I needed to replace my beloved yet persnickety 2006 mini cooper S however I dreaded the process. After much procrastination I finally took a day to visit Herb Chambers Mini of Boston. That's when I met Sara Espinal and she put all my fears to rest. Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious ! She was friendly, efficient and competent and she walked me through the lease process like a pro. Then I met the "genius" Ingrid and my day was complete. They work well together and make a great tag team =-) I had my new cooper S in one weeks time and I am in love! Sara ardently explained all the awesome features. I researched SUVs on a number of websites, including this one, and decided on a Mercedes GLK 350 given the price, options, color, etc. Fortunately, I was able to narrow my options to a few 2015 models, all of which, aside from the one at Herb Chambers (HC) BMW, were within 100 miles of my home. In spite of the 250 mile distance to HC, I sent a request via a cars.com or related website to HC, and was soon contacted via email with specifications on the automobile via an on-line folio. Everything I needed was available online - pictures, specifications, mileage, carfax, and 'internet pricing'. This made researching the car easier, and my confidence in the buying process higher. The initial positive impression derived from this was one of many factors including pricing, service and efficiency, that led me to my purchase and why I would recommend Andrei K. HC for those in search of their next automobile. Buying a car is a time-consuming and often arduous process. However, upon calling the dealer to receive a few additional details not available in their online folio, and to negotiate pricing before making the 3-4 hour trek to Boston, I was told that the price for the vehicle was HC's 'online' price, and there was no haggling. Although it was not the absolute lowest price in the market, it was the lowest price among known dealerships given the options on the car and the fact that it was a 'one-owner' car and not purchased through an auction. While many buyers may find the 'no-haggle' pricing uncomfortable, it made my decision easier. I had done hours of research, and knew that their internet pricing was competitive. Additionally, Andrei, my sales representative, approached the sales processes in a cordial and efficient fashion. His emails were thorough and timely, and his speech articulate and readily comprehensible. With all the initial indicators positive, the following weekend I was off to Boston, check in hand. Upon my arrival to HC, I found that the subject car was reserved for me with a sold sticker in the windshield already. Because of the pricing, I was free to judge the car based on its merits, and not on any ding that I could use to haggle. In fact, because I had traveled so far, Andrei, my sales representative, had already made the commitment to me to have the car shipped to my home, once it was titled and the license secured, should I make the purchase. After thoroughly inspecting the car, chatting with the sales reps who were in the dealership when the original owner brought the car for a trade in, and driving the vehicle, it was an easy decision to spend the money. The remainder of the process was done as efficiently as HC could make it. Andrei received some assistance from Moustafa on the finance side, but otherwise arranged for all the next steps. Since I was an out-of-state resident, and because MA does not permit transit or temporary tags, I could not turn in my rental car, and drive my newly acquired car home. However, Andrei and Moustafa handled all aspects of the licensing and delivery, right down to giving me the pre-paid UPS envelope to send back a notarized document for the state DMV. A week later, my car was off-loaded from a flat-bed truck at my home and I have been quite please with the vehicle, its condition and driving. I was nervous and apprehensive about purchasing such an expensive vehicle, in spite of my research and extensive knowledge of automobiles. Nonetheless, Andrei and his team at HC made the process as pleasant and efficient as possible. I would recommend, without hesitation, HC for those seeking to purchase their next vehicle, whether new or used.

I had a great experience with Herb Chambers Mini of Boston. I normally don't leave reviews but this time was different. I was shopping online for a CPO BMW for a few months and found two at Herb Chambers that had similar features I was looking... Even though I was 45 minutes away I took the effort and drove there not knowing what to expect. I meet with Hadi Eslami which was very nice and patient with me. I asked Hadi about the cars and one was not available but the other was and he asked to get the car ready for me to look at it and test drive it. I was not familiar with the area and since Hadi was talking to the management about some questions I had, he kindly asked another guy to help me, his name is John Voong. John was very nice too and he answered all of my questions. After the test, the car seemed to perform well and after a short talk Hadi and I came to agreement that I will call or email him with my decision. The next day we agreed upon me purchasing the car, Hadi was kind enough to get things ready for me prior to my arrival and made the process easier. I was in and out within 2 hours driving my BMW. I am happy with the car so far and the experience with Herb Chambers Mini of Boston and particular with Hadi and John was great.

This is the 3rd MINI we've purchased at HC MINI of Boston. 2013 Hardtop, 2015 Cooper S and now my beautiful 2016 Cooper S. The team is amazing. Sara Espinal is a dynamo, taking time to show me all of the vehicles and the options - and she knows from experience. Sales Manager, Kate George is smart, funny, welcoming and a motoring enthusiast - and will help you through the entire process. (Also she'll ensure the ice cream case is filled for your visit.) This was my first encounter with (according to her business card) Motoring Genius, Chelsea Capwell - and she knows her stuff. Sara sat with me and went through all of the menu setups, and Chelsea came in with 'special teams' knowledge like how to adjust damper control. All around GREAT experience. This is a NO PRESSURE sales environment. They will not accost you at the door and ask 'what's it going to take to put you in this car' - they are going to help you figure out which MINI is right for you and answer all your questions. I love my new MINI - and having a perfect sales team made it great.

I had a great experience working with Herb Chambers MINI and my motoring advisor, Brian Epstein. It was the most low pressure car sale experience I've every been witness to and everyone at the dealership was a pleasure to work with. From check-in to check-out, everyone is doing a phenomenal job (valet, receptionist, loaner service, service advisor, etc.). The lounge area is very comfortable should you choose to wait, or opt-in for courtesy shuttle drop-off or book a loaner in advance, many options are available to ensure customers like myself are happy with the whole experience. Sadly my 328GT was in an accident. Jimmy the service technician was excellent. He magically got things moving with the insurance company when I was getting nowhere with them and made sure that the car was fixed correctly. He called and kept me up to date with the various steps in the process. Obviously an accident was not what I was planning but Herb Chambers BMW got me back on the road fast.

Purchased a 2013 used Paceman at Herb Chamber Mini of Boston in December 2014. The car only had around 4000 miles on it so it was fairly new. We do a lot highway drive so the sales guys recommended us to put the invisible shield on the front of the car. We did it and were told that it comes with lifetime warranty. In August 2015 we found that the invisible shield on the bumper started to peel off. We went to the dealership in September and talked to our business manager, because we were told that she is the only one who has the warranty information and who can contact the invisible shield company. She told us on that day that to send her an email with image attached. We did it as she said on the following week and sent the email through our gmail account. Then we waited a month, no emails or calls. So we went to her office again in October and was told that she received nothing, she said the email must went to her junk box. THATS A LIE! We sent it again at her office through the same account, this time she received it immediately, what a magic! She read the email and she told us they would fix it and it does look pretty bad. She told us she will contact them and call us the following week. Then we went home and I finally called her after two weeks without hearing from her. She said she will call the invisible shield company and call me back in 10 minutes. I waited 30 minutes and she did not call me back so I called her again and she did not answer the phone. Finally I emailed her on October 22 and asking her to give me a call back, I also said that if she would not be able to assist me please let me know who would be and I will contact that person. No REPLY again. I called her manager on October 27 and the manager told me that he will work on it and have her get back to me as soon as possible. Few hours later I got an email from her saying that she was sick the week before and just returned to her office. She asked me several question regarding the time and location. I got back to her right away. Then came the same waiting game. I waited until November 2nd when I finally called her manager again requesting to have the issue resolved that day, the manager said it will be a little bit too push to have it resolved on that day, so I said ok I will give you until Friday November 6th to get back to me. The manager called me few minutes later and told me that my business manager emailed the invisible shield company three days ago. I said I dont care if it was three days ago or a week ago the issue was brought to you almost three months ago. She said she will make sure to have it solved within the week. Today is November 9th no response yet.

Recently I took my 2014 CPO 535d in for its first service. I love this car (my 4th BMW), and I've used Matt Baker as my service advisor for years. He's smart and a pleasure to work with. Chris LaLicata was also very helpful in helping me understand the navigation system and advanced Bluetooth in the car. Recently leased a 640 from H Chambers and had the worst automobile experience of my life. Everything was 5 star until I found stains on the top. I was told to " take the car to a fabric specialist and get it fixed. But, don't do the work until we authorize the repair" . Then I was told to drive back to Boston ( a three hour event) and they would fix it. Finally they agreed to pick it up and leave a loaner car. I won't elaborate on the dirty interior of the loaner. I have the car back and it looked great until it rained on the top. It looks worse than ever. The experience was great until I signed the lease papers and found a problem. Simple, The car should never have been delivered in this condition, and then the problem should not have become mine. Be very careful.

I am a salesman who has always loved cars. Yet to me, the only thing worse than having to buy a car, is to have a "less-than-desireable" trade-in as well. Yesterday starting at 9am, I visited three dealerships intent on completing a successful transaction by day's-end. The third was Herb Chambers BMW and Herb Chambers Porsche. I arrived at 2pm. It turned out, the used BMW I was interested in was 40yds away at HC Porsche which was initially confusing. But due everyone's effeciency and professionalism, I was able to be driven to HC BMW's off-site lot to see two of their cars, get my trade-in appraised, return to negotiate deals on both, test drive one of the two, then walk over to HC Porsche, get my car appraised by them, test drive the listed car and negotiate a deal on it. Again, due to their professionalism, I never felt any discomfort in declining their offer (and counter offer). I then walked back to HC BMW, completed the loan process, had a 30 minute technology orientation with my man Sheraz, got in my new car and got back to Boston in time to pick up my wife at 7pm. Hat's off to Sheraz, Chris, Amir, Justin, Herb Chambers and the rest of the orginazation for their contribution to a very plesant and productive day. You are in my opinion, a cut well above the rest!

I have bought or leased many cars from BMW but my latest experience trading-in my old SAV for a newer and larger one was by far the best one so far! I came in to the dealership to see a different car and the salesperson, Sheraz Sheikh, pointed out that they had another one not yet listed on their website. He arranged for a test drive and since it matched exactly what I was looking for, I put in a deposit for it and traded in my existing car on the spot. the whole process was painless and took less than 1.5h. I came back for my car when it was ready and drove off in less than 1 hour. I highly recommend this dealership and Sheraz if you are looking for a BMW. I have been to other Herb Chambers dealership but this one is by far the best one. it's a high volume well oiled machine and everyone that works there is professional and customer oriented.

Reviews are not typically my thing, but having a easy car buying experience can sometime be a rare thing. My wife and I just bought two new cars, one being a new Mini and the others a Nissan. We must have spent weeks shopping around getting the best deal at a dealership willing to meet the numbers we wanted on our trade and the car we wanted to buy. Getting the new Mini was the exact opposite. We had a great salesman (Robert), he took the time to make sure we knew everything we needed about the new car (4 door cooper S). Our negotiations (with Katie) were a breeze, she was upfront about all their numbers, nothing was hidden, and gave us a great deal on our trade. We took a while to make our final decision between two cars and they stayed well past the 9:00 pm close (including the Nicole who prepared all the paper work we had to sign) which we really appreciated. I'm sure not everyone's experience can be the same but the people I had helping us made buying a Mini so easy. Next time we are looking for a new car, we will start by coming back here.

I originally bought a MINI at this dealership in 2013 and I returned to possibly upgrade to the new MINI Hardtop 4 Door. The design has changed dramatically since 2013! David is really friendly and easy to work with...I didn't feel any pressure. If David is able to give me Kelly Blue Book value for my trade in, I will definitely purchase a new MINI from MINI of Boston! I hope to hear back from him soon....

Mark Ravin in service is outstanding! I have never dealt with a more competant, professional, service writer. He offers a high level of customer service and seems to genuinely love his job and mini coopers. I have bought and sold hundreds of vehicles in my professional career and I choose to drive over an hour to have my mini serviced by Mark and his team. The online booking tool for appointments is very easy to use. The waiting area is comfortable with plenty of seating, WIFI, and complimentary beverages. The service door is difficult to find your first time to the dealership. The dealership is in a heavily congested area but the service staff seems to have a system that works.

MINIs are fun, happy, reliable and have great response....all the same traits as my salesperson, Kate George. You will be so happy with both. I bought the new MINI Cooper 4 door hardtop after learning all about this brand new model from Kate. She was so enthusiastic, informative and really cared that I knew all about the car before I leased it. The inside of the car is beyond cool, and I suppose it's a matter of time before I get a speeding ticket because the MINI Cooper is like driving a luxury go-cart. MINI dealerships are unlike any others, you have to experience it. A true happy place. It's the best car buying experience I have ever had. Actually, I'm still having it, because Kate still follows up to make sure I've learned all the amazing features. I love it!

This is indeed exceptional service offered only by exceptional people. Have been servicing my car at the BMW of Boston for a long time now and in general they never disappoint. However its the service of certain people who take the customer service (satisfaction) at a different level. The name of the guy is Matthew Krappe, BMW's service director. Had to do major service in my vehicle and Matthew not only took the matter under his direct supervision but made sure by double and triple checking that the car was serviced in the best way possible. I will never be able to thank Matthew enough for responding to all of my (out-of-bussines hours) phone calls and emails, and making sure all of my concerns following the service were ironed out. Polite, punctual, and a true professional. I can't imagine servicing my car at another place. Thanks Matthew! Thanks for being there!

I leased my car from herb chambers 3 years ago and overall my experience has been very good. First the sales advisor Abdou Mehreb was very professional, friendly and honest throughout the whole process. He also was a resource with any question or issue I had concerning the car even after I took possession of the car. Throughout the lease, service was always done in a timely fashion and the work was good. They almost always found a way to accommodate even when I walked in. Some of the guys go the extra mile making sure that they check wiper fluid or else even if you drive in for tire pressure. To top it all, at end of lease review I got to work with Kevin Bugbee who was very friendly (smiles go a long way) and made the whole process a pleasurable experience (despite the snow storm) I would definitely recommend this dealership and Abdou (for buying advice), he'll definitely take good care of you.

I had an astounding experience at BMW of Boston! First, buying the car was a great encounter. Husan Akram was very helpful and welcoming. I am new to the BMW world and he helped me figure out all of the amazing features that the car has. He was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable asking any questions. The whole process for buying the car went smoothly and I will definitely buy another BMW from them one day. Now here we have a great story! I had a problem with my BMW and had to have it towed to BMW for fixing. Although I had a slight problem with one of the employees there who was working on my car, Mr, Matthew Krappe came to the rescue. With all the miscommunication problems I was having with the first employee, I was not very happy. However, Matthew stepped in and fixed everything quickly, He was very helpful and even gave me a loaner car for the days that my car would be in the shop. He was very gentle and he even would send me messages to explain everything that was going on with my car. This is perfect, since I work all day and have kids to take care of, so it gets hard to keep up on the details. Overall, I would recommend BMW of Boston to all of my friends and family, because they have kept their customer service on point.

On the fifth star, there's a light shade of grey - this need to be red because HC and Kevin Bugbee truly deserve 5 stars. I've leased what seems to be countless BMWs of all sorts over many years. The look and feel of sales and more importantly service areas change but the people who work there are always attentive and excel in customer service. Kevin calls me out of the blue and a very long phone call about how my car is doing in the snow; I told him my current and still new 435i convertible is amazing in the snow and much better going college hill in snowbound Providence. I've always been hesitant about driving to work in snow in my previous BMWs and I would either take cab or work remotely from home. But not with my new car - a pleasure to drive in snow with warm air on my neck from the vents in the head rest. Kevin even knows all the songs I know and which I play in a bad way. Rock-on Kevin. By the way, the new 4 Series, especially the 435i xdrive convertible is truly amazing. Completed trip to Canton, Ohio and Lexington KY in rapid time and comfort, in spite of horrible weather.

David Lopez was very helpful when we were shopping at MINI. He answered all of our questions patiently and professionally. My husband LOVES BMW so we gave Herb Chambers BMW of Boston a try. Our experience with Ahmed Jobrane could not have been more positive. In the last 10 years, I have bought 6 cars from Herb Chambers, several of which have been BMWs. I keep coming back as I know that I always get the best deal available and my family and friends whom Ive referred to Herb Chambers would agree! I got my most recent BMW a few months ago and the folks at the BMW Boston store made this purchase extremely easy for me. The sales staff and especially the sales manager, Jason Rocco OBrien took the time to listen to what I wanted and suggested the best options for me. I never felt pressured nor did I feel that they were making me buy more than what I needed. They kept me informed as to the status of the car (as I did not buy off the lot) and made sure that everything was ready when I went to pick it up so that I did not have sit and wait. When necessary, I also take my car to be serviced at BMW Boston Ive never had a problem getting a loaner when I request one, or a ride from the shuttle, and the staff there is always extremely pleasant. I cannot emphasize enough how much the management at Herb Chambers wants to make sure that you buy the best car for you for the non-BMWs Ive bought, and for those family members who have not yet discovered the pleasure of driving a BMW, Jason OBrien has coordinated with the sales managers at other Herb Chambers stores to make sure we are treated just as well and has ensured that weve had a pleasant shopping experience. I know that most people dread the process, but I can honestly say that I always look forward to getting a new car!

I was nervous my vehicle would not get towed in and taken to the repair shop, but after talking to Dan Drinkwater I was confident it was going to happen! Id been searching for several months for a Pre-Owned Certified 335i X-Drive and was so happy when Herb Chambers BMW had the vehicle I was looking for. He is new but quickly understood that our decision to buy was hinged on the test drive and without wasting time, he got us in a car to test drive it. We loved the drive and bought the car the same day. He stayed late with us until the paperwork was completed even though he was getting late for his dinner reservation. We were told that the car would come in 8-10 days and we were happy when we received a call in 7 days that the car was ready. I purchased my Mini in the Spring of 2014, and dealt with Ellington Jackson at the Boston dealership. I really appreciated Ellington's relaxed, friendly manner, and ended up making my decision a lot more quickly than anticipated. After closing the deal, Ellington urged me to contact him with any questions and concerns. Less than a week after buying the car, a guy on a motor scooter hit my rear bumper. This happened on Commonwealth Avenue. A few minutes later I got a text from Ellington, saying he'd been on the "T", and had noticed me stopped in the middle of Commonwealth Avenue, wanted to know if I was OK, which I was, of course. Hadn't anticipated that the sales rep would be watching over me so closely. A few weeks later, I decided I wanted to install a roof rack support system, and a bicycle rack. Ellington helped me select the appropriate equipment, and installed it for me. Saved me hours, I'm sure. A few days ago, I was tapped again, this time on the front end. Wasn't sure whether there'd been any significant damage, and before entering the insurance machine, asked Ellington to have a look, which he did. So I have a clearer idea now of how to proceed. To sum up, Ellington has made good on his offer to support me post-purchase, and I look forward to seeing him, and doing business with him in the future.

Throughout a 10-day period in which we tested four different vehicles and went over various option configurations and builds, Joseph was attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. He always got back to us promptly and answered all of our questions. I could not have been more pleased with our experience with Joseph or the vehicle we ultimately selected on which we got a very good deal that was fair to both sides. I dont buy cars often (as my 14 year old current car will attest), so was not really looking forward to the hard sell, negotiating, and nail biting that goes along with the experience. Working with Luigi was such a pleasure stress-free, and actually fun. It was like doing business with a friend. He listened to what we wanted and worked to get us into the car of our choice. The ride to work this morning was so much fun I hated to have it end. With all the buttons and colors and features the car has, Ill be busy for a long time trying to figure it all out. I recently bought a Used Countryman. My Sales Representative Scott Pann was essential throughout the entire process from the test drive to the ultimate exchange and purchase. His care and expertise were tested when I discovered an issues with the shifting that was putting stress on car, causing a delay. When I brought the car to the Service Center back under warranty, originally I was advised that the issue was not detected and they wanted me to come back to Boston to explain my issue on a test drive. However Scott was able and willing to test it again for me as I trusted his opinion and believed he believed he could save me the 150 mile commute. Scott and a technician took it on a run again and they were able to pin down my issue. They communicated every step along the way and were able to fix it the next day with the part in stock. I am grateful that I was able to find not only the exact car I was looking for but even more importantly it came with a dealership with undoubted reputation and invaluable employees like Scott.

Once again Mark Ravin and the Mini service team just killed it. I had an unexpected clutch failure and i got a quick appointment, a spotless loaner, and turnkey repairs. I was not sure if I wanted to lease or buy used and have hated my experiences with any time i have bought a car before. If you're looking for a MINI, go here! I had an eight year old VW convertible and enjoyed it--going on trips with the top down, buzzing around time and easy parking. However, when the MINI started showing up on roadways, I coveted it. Last April, after months of designing it, I ordered my convertible MINI at Herb Chambers. We dealt with Scott Pann. He was terrific--made suggestions, kept us up-to-date on the manufacturing and delivery of the car and did everything in his power to be sure we got the car the way we wanted it and as soon as possible. First and foremost, the receptionist was lovely and helpful, but every other part of the service was terrible. 1) Called ahead to make sure they ordered my parts- they didn't 2) Scheduled me for an apt. 4 days away, and THEN tried to reschedule it the day before, when I had already been without a car for 4 days 3) Told me I could keep my apt. and then called after I brought my car in, to say they would have to keep it a couple more days because they never ordered the parts. 4) My sales associate called, didn't return my call, and then was out the next day. Leaving me with no answers about when I could pick up my car. Awful service. Location was convenient but I would rather give my business to a more professional establishment, who can handle a simple parts order.

My family has been buying cars from Herb Chambers for over twenty years. I bought my first car from the Peabody location. So, when I saved up enough for me dream car, the Mini Cooper, I drove an hour just to buy from a Herb Chambers dealership (even though Mini of Peabody is five minutes away.) It was the best experience I've had. I met sales associate Josh, and he was ecstatic about helping me out. I know nothing about cars and I had went without my father for the initial meeting, but Josh knew the car inside and out and explained in a way that even I could understood. He knew the answer to every question, and was the most patient guy I've ever worked with. He stayed past close several times just so he could make sure everything was going smoothly. I picked up my car in just a few days and its amazing. Josh is the most professional, knowledgeable and kindest salesman I've ever worked with. As a former manager in sales, I know how rough any retail job can be. I was very impressed with him, as was my parents and that's saying a lot. I've already recommended the dealership to a few friends and would tell everyone to go down and see the staff at Herb Chambers Mini, they're all absolutely amazing people.

I service my cars with Jim Misciocia's only. When he is out, I wait and call back. I trust him to provide me with the work he thinks the cars need. I have had almost every BMW style there is. Jim keeps great records and gives good advise on what to do, what can wait, or when to fold! There are some people you enjoy doing business with, he is one of them. How do you thank something like a car dealership, especially one that went beyond the call of duty on your behalf? My wifes 2009 Mini blew three values over a 19 month period and since it was no longer on warranty, we were faced with significant repair bills. The Herb Chambers Mini of Boston Sales, Service and Management teams worked on our behalf with Mini Corporate so we never saw those bills. Finally, after the third valve blew, the Herb Chambers people put a deal together to get my wife a brand new 2013 Mini paying less per month than we were paying before. I bought a BMW X1 in June'13 and I had a very nice experience with Herbs chambers. I was helped by the sales executive 'Sheraz' and he is a real professional. Unlike other typical car showrooms, there was absolutely no pressure on me to decide the same day or pay a deposit to 'put a hold' on the car after the test drive. I feel its a nice thing to give freedom/time to the buyer as this is not a small amount of money. I also would like to mention my experience on car delivery as well. It was raining heavily on the day of delivery and Sheraz was nice enough to keep the car inside the showroom until I showed up to prevent it from getting 'dirty' (though I showed up a little late). They did not have 'all weather mats' and I was given the carpet mats with a promise that they'll call me as soon as the all weather mats become available. With no follow up, I get an email the following day to come collect the mats. When I went there, Sheraz helped me with the mats as well as my questions on the iPod connectivity (he even gave me an extra cable for free!). When we buy the next car for my wife, I'll definitely go back to Herb chambers again!

I am Extremely angry at the business practices At Herb Chambers BMW and you will be too when you read this! My wife and I have been doing our homework in search of a used Mini Cooper. On Sat we found a car advertised on the web site in our price range and listed with the extended 5 year, 100,000 mini next certification. We called and made an appointment to come in and see the car at 4;30 that day. 2 hours later someone calls from the dealership to confirm the appt. and I ask about the extended warranty, she puts me on hold I wait.. then hang up. A little later someone calls and says that car does not have the coverage that is advertised . I said I was looking at the site and the car at that moment and it said it does! Well we made a mistake, it doesnt Im sorry .Is there anything else we can do for you? I am fuming and hang up. No one calls back to follow up or apologize. But. I want an extended warranty vehicle so the next day I go on the site and look for one. The car I was looking at the day before has been taken down , but here is another car with the mini next warranty! So.. I call the same dealership and the salesperson says he had heard what had happened the day before and he is sorry too! But this is definitely a mini certified car, I guarantee it! Well, is it automatic? Yes, but it is not listed Is it the cold weather package? Yes, but it is not listed It is even the premiere package, but it is not listed Ok, I will be there Wed at 6:30 with my wife to drive the car. Are you sure it is a certified car ? Yes , I guarantee it! Wed. morning I call the dealership to confirm my appt, the women confirms my appt. and even says let me check to make sure that car (that I have made an appointment to drive ) is still available. .Yes, it is ! Arent you lucky! Wed. afternoon I stop in to the house before I leave for Boston for my scheduled and confirmed appointment and there is a message from my sales person asking me to give him a call for an update on the car . I call and he said the car he was going to pull out from storage and have ready for me when I got there was sold last night , is there anything else I can do for you? I said I had an appt. to see that car! I confirmed the appt . this morning!. The women told me the car was still available! I ask to speak to the sales manager and it is the same women who spoke with me Sunday. She said, I remember speaking with you Sunday and asking if there was anything else I could do for you. I said that was the first time you screwed me over, what about this time? She said the car was just listed last night, I said saw it on the internet 3 days ago when I made the appt! Let me speak to a manager. The manager of internet sales (or something like that) gets on the phone and I explain both stories. He listens and then recites the mantra. I am sorry, is there anything else I can do for you? Let me look up the car(s) you were interested in so I have an idea of what you are looking for. He brings up the car I had an appointment to see and.. wait for it ..it is NOT a pre certified mini next car. We made a mistake . Is there anything else I can do for you? Yes , you can find me car a car that is actually the same as you advertise it and you can honor your commitment when you say that the car will be there when I come to drive it. So far I have not heard back from anyone .Maybe there isnt anything else they can do for mr

My wife & I would like to thank Brian Wong from Herb Chambers BMW of Boston for his help and attention during the past week. For us, it really has been a tough week of research, testing several cars, and visiting many dealers in the area (as well as emailing & calling many others). It was a roller coaster ride up to the last minute between the BMW X1 & Audi Q5, and we definitely feel like we made the right choice. A huge part of this decision was absolutely due to Brian's knowledge, friendliness, positive attitude and coolness shown throughout our entire buying experience... from the X3 & X1 test drives, to our many emails & phone conversations, all the way to the purchasing process. Back in 2010 I leased a mini-copper clubman from Herb Chambers. They made every effort to make me a fair deal on a car I couldnt wait to drive. The experience was not the typical back-and-forth bartering. The sales rep was honest and up-front and I was a very satisfied consumer. Over the course of the 3 year lease their service staff was extremely professional and courteous. Even in the middle of a massive renovation they managed to shuttle me where I needed to go and provided a quick resolution to my serve needs. I would have to say their business runs like a well tuned clock. On Wednesday I turned my lease in a bit early. Due to the size and the rugged ride of the mini it was just not working for me anymore. My budget didnt warrant upgrading to a BMW so I leased a VW Jetta with Boston VW (no way near a well tuned clock). This past week I returned my leaseed car and once again the staff did not disappoint. The whole interaction was painless. Im a VW fan and my current lease will be the 4th VW I drive. I hope that by the time my lease is up, Herb Chambers decides to buy a VW dealership!

Once when I call multiple times for a specific repair, I seemed to get different quotes from different people. That can undermine the trust in thid dealership. I have since been working only with Matt Baker, and he has been excellent to work with. He is always courteous and professional and helps me understand the options for repairs, knowing that I cannot afford to repair all things at once. As with any other service provider, trust and credibility are as important as the quality of the service itself. I hope to do business here as long as that is maintained.

I worked with Abdou on leasing my new 3 Series BMW and Kevin Bugbee on returning my X6. I have to say these two guys are a class act. Truly. Abdou is such a gentleman. And trust me, I'm not the easiest client to have. I must of changed my mind about features and cars 6 times. He even had a car shipped here from NJ so I can test drive it - at no cost to me. Kevin was a pleasure to work with on my lease-end. He couldn't have made the process any easier and he cut me some slack for the dings and scratches on my car. He also went out of his way to investigate my SafeLease contract and make sure I'm covered for the damages. Overall, a great experience at Herb Chambers BMW because of these two guys.

I've been taking my BMW to Herb Chambers for the past two and a half years for regular service as well as for issues that I refer to as brain teasers because their causes have rarely been immediately apparent. Matt Baker, my service rep, has been exceptional at working closely with service, keeping me updated on the progress of the diagnosis or repair, securing a loaner for me, and getting me back into my car as soon as possible. Regarding the repairs, they have always been completed correctly the first time and the costs have been comparable to non-dealership repair shops specializing in German cars. Further, every single person you encounter, from the gentleman that escorts you out of you car to the one that escorts you back in, is truly friendly, helpful, and customer focused. Herb Chambers takes customer service seriously. So, if you're looking for professional repairs by BMW experts at comparable prices and exceptional customer service, I can't imagine why you would go anywhere else.

Pulled into the lot and was practically ignored because I was not going to the BMW showroom. Again ignored in the side lot, on the first floor and was allowed to wander the MINI showroom for 20 min before someone came over. The salesperson was nothing special, he did not seem to want to sell a car that day. Cars are parked off site, so it takes some waiting for the test drive to actually begin. Test drive was nice and I actually enjoy my Cooper experience. Took salesperson some time to follow up. Afterwards, a very helpful saleswoman tried to work with me to find the right MINI, but it did not work out. And, if it did, I still probably wouldn't by, not after my showroom experience. Head to the suburbs if you want the full dealership experience. I was surprised at that this place was a Herb Chambers.
