Frank Utah did a great job helping us find a car and getting us set up with financing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The entire staff stuck around until pretty late on a Friday night to get everything wrapped up for us. On a side note- while we were waiting for some financial information we overheard the girl in a room next to us having a huge, screaming, cursing tantrum about wanting a bigger discount. Kudos to the sales staff that was working with her for not throwing her out on her ear. They were very patient with her and even she went home happy.

I recently purchased a new Volvo and I want to give a shout out to Doug Galloway. It was one of the best experiences I've had at Volvo and this is my third vehicle from Herzog-Meier. Doug is professional, straight-forward, and does what he says he going to do. He deserves every award he has on the walls of his office and I will continue to be a Volvo customer because of him. Buying a new car can be a tedious, drawn-out experience but working with Doug made it fun and simple. I highly recommend him and thank him for his great service.

This has a happy ending- Herzog-Meier renewed my faith in VW! I have been a returning customer of Volkswagen for the last 6 years. I love their innovative designs, and advanced engineering! My first leasing experience was out of state, and it was amazing. 3 years ago, I had to transfer my lease- and it didn't go very smoothly; so much so, that I didn't intend to purchase another VW. When the lease was coming to a close, fully intending to return my car and buy elsewhere, I met Nasar and Boris with Herzog-Meier... who were incredible, and were able to get me into my favorite car for under the payment that was comfortable for me. There were bumps along the way, but in the end, Herzog-Meier was able to both make me comfortable with Volkswagen, and their customer service again.

I wrote a very unflattering review of Herzog Meier a couple of weeks ago. Since that time, Dena Stein (Volvo Brand Manager) has personally become involved in our dealings with the dealership. She has truly "saved the day." Once Dena learned of what was going on, things have turned out for the best and we are very happy customers! She has gone way "above and beyond" in our case and we truly appreciate it! I had titled my review "will never buy from Herzog Meier again" or something like that. However, Dena and her 5 star Customer Service approach has totally changed my mind. I would definitely buy from Herzog Meier. (I tried to see if I could delete/edit my previous review but could not.) Because Dena has resolved our problem and done more than we ever expected, we think very highly of Herzog Meier.

I had the pleasure of working with Anthony and Nathan at Herzog-meier and was extremely pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of the XC90. At first I was undecided on what model of the XC90 I wanted. Anthony set me up with Nathan since he was not working the day I came in to test drive and I was pleased to have worked with both gentleman. I ended up test driving both the inscription model and the R-design. They did their absolute best to help me find the perfect car for me. I decided on the R-design and it came with everything I wanted but the HUD, which was a fine compromise considering i was pressed for time since i sold my car 3 weeks prior. I went to Portland Volvo and did some research of my own online as well, I ended up going back to Herzog-meier because they were able to find me the best deal and car color combo I wanted. Exceptional experience. They were not pushy or bothersome at all. I would recommend going to Herzog-meier and talking with either of the two if you are looking to buy a Volvo, I love My new Car!

Ordered an XC90 back in Nov 2015. Was called March 20th and told our car was in. We set up an appointment to pick up the car on Tuesday the 22nd. We were called on Tuesday and told that they "couldn't find our car." However, we still went in and did all the paperwork. Found out when we got home that we hadn't been credited our $1000 down payment. This was quickly resolved the next day. Long story short we finally got an XC90 on Sat the 26th. However, the dealership had not had time to put on the sealant that we had ordered and paid for. Plus, the car was delivered with 2 rock chips in the front window. One of these rock chips has now grown to a 3 inch crack. The car we got has more options than what we had ordered and it came from Seattle. Hmmmm something fishy going on here. We told the salesman on the 26th when the car was delivered that we would like the appointment for the sealant and the new front windshield to be done on the same day, preferably Fri Apr 1st or Fri Apr 8th. It is now Mon Apr 11th--no sealant, no front window, not even an appointment scheduled. We have called the dealership several times. They are always friendly on the phone and promise to get back to us. Well they don't. They have great "talk" at the dealership, but the "actions" are not about customer service! We are wondering when we'll get our appointment. Wish we had ordered from Jim Fisher!

An exceptional buying experience. I'm a veteran when it comes to purchasing vehicles. I typically buy a new car every 18 months or so and have purchased vehicles across the US. By far, this experience was superior to every other experience. Anthony and Dena were fabulous and treated me with respect and dignity! They understood I didn't care about high high or low my payment was, they didn't try to treat me like a novice, inexperienced shopper. I highly recommend these professionals and this dealership.

There was no pressure from him, but then we knew we'd be driving away with a new car when we arrived. Both times the staff were extremely helpful, but I worked with Richard Kim this time specifically, and he made the process even easier than last time. I worked with Mike McIntosh for my new vehicle purchase and from start to finish I could not have been happier with the service, knowledge, and recommendations he provided. He listened to everything I had to say and made terrific vehicle choices for me based on what I was telling him. By the time we went on my test drive I felt more like I was talking to a friend rather than just a "salesperson". Mike was very knowledgeable and just a great guy. The car had a lot of "bells and whistles" I had never had on a vehicle before and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable with them before I drove off the lot. The car I test drove is the one I wound up buying and I couldn't be happier with it. It was a completely stress-free buying experience.

Life is tough when you are living on a fixed income (retirement benefits). A reliable vehicle is an individual's necessary investment. Herzog Meier was able to match a pre-owned vehicle to my budget. The sales rep (Coty) conducted himself in a very professional manner from beginning to end. No badgering or pressure to buy beyond a predetermined amount. No one is accountable. Be prepared for every phone call to review issues, name, phone, etc. Does not seem that any records are kept. Every phone call I got passed around to at least 3 people, took up so much of my time for the very simplest issues. Worst experience I have ever had at VW dealer and I have owned VW's since '86. Don't waste your time/energy.

Brought my 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback in for an amplifier replacement and heated seat repair. The work was covered under the extended warranty I purchased when I bought the car new. Normally I am wary of extended warranties but I bought it because the car had far more extra electronic features than I am used to and I just felt there was more to go wrong. Based on the experiences of others, I expected a hassle, not only by the warranty company but by Herzog Meier as well in getting the work covered by the warranty. My worries were completely groundless. Everything went smoothly and the service department at Herzog Meier were total professionals. Elaine Negri could not have been more helpful. Despite the fact that the service department was very busy and booked well in advance, Elaine worked with me to find a time and day that was convenient for "me. And because I lived so far from Herzog Meier and dropping my car off and picking it up involved my wife taking time off for work, etc, Elaine provided me with a loaner car to drive while the work was being done, so that my life was easier. A loaner was not provided via the extended warranty and Elaine did not have to go the extra mile, but she did it anyway, voluntarily and out of professional kindness. She went over and above and I genuinely appreciate it. This type of service and concern for the customer is rare and Herzog Meier is to be commended for I stilling this kind of attitude and work ethic in their employees. Also, the work was done correctly and on time. I would highly recommend HM to family, friends and anyone else who might be looking for a car or reputable service department.

Herzog Meier demonstrated excellent customer service from the start to the finish of our purchase of a new VW Jetta They found the vehicle we were looking for (a hard to find 5 spd manual SE), and responded quickly. The out of the door price was exactly what their initial email stated (plus plates and title fee). No quibbling on price, no surprises, no issues, no pushing.. The purchase process and financing were completed efficiently and rapidly. The car was prepared and we were out the door in relatively short period of time. One of our best car buying experiences.. We bought the Jetta we wanted at a very competitive vehicle price and financing, which was our overall goal. We'd like to express our appreciation and recognition for excellent service, customer orientation, and efficiency in processing the purchase to Richard Kim and Cameron MacLean. They made it happen to our entire satisfaction.

I purchased a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with 104k miles and paid cash. I too was made to pose in front of the car with an "AS IS" sign in my hand so they could take a photo. The only redeeming part about the vehicle turned out to be the "fairly new tires". So far in the first month I've had to have the front differential rebuilt, and replaced a defective catalytic converter. I took it back to my local mechanic for a bearing noise in the rear axle, when they opened the differential metal fragments were laying in the case and some of the gears were missing big chunks of metal. So far the grand total for this Jeep xx is $2500 plus the original purchase price! BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!! They will sell you crap and not care at all.

My friend was looking for a used car similar to the kind I have. She went to this dealer on three different occasions and each time got different information on the particular car she was interested in. Basically she had already lost much confidence and trust in this dealership however was really wanting this particular car. Finally she brought me with her for the final negotiations. They were demeaning to her, insulted her with Agism in a very subtle way as if she had come in SO MANY times that she could not make a decision and therefore wasted their time. What a fiasco we went thru. First the basic HARD NOSE haggling which I was prepared for since I come from a middle eastern background where I was taught the 'art of haggling' which means each party walks away HAPPY after a good battle with $$. Finally she agreed to a price. Then we waited while they were to process the contract of sales. About 10 min later, the general manager returns to tell us someone else in another part of the dealership had made a HIGHER offer on the car. Well we were flabbergasted and ready to run out the door. They now said in order for them to accept HER offer, she would need to trade in her used car (which she had not intended to do). The fiasco went on for quite a while and finally after some private talks with her, she agreed to trade in her car and they finally agreed to up the any a few hundred bucks for her used car. What I experienced in this dealership were OLD CAR SALESPERSON tactics and the appearance of dishonesty. I say the APPEARANCE of dishonesty since we will never know IF indeed there really was another person making a HIGHER bid on the car. My friend has her car now and I am writing this review since I would never do business with this dealership , EVER !

I went in to see a used SportWagon. The Sales Person Boris was very easy to work with. I told them I'd be paying cash and they never tried to get me to check credit, or try and convince me to finance. I gave them a lower offer and they gave a reasonable counter offer. In the end I was happy with the price. I had a much better experience than I did at VW Portland. They straight up told me I could not pay cash for vehicles on sale.

I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. They sold me a Lemon and covered up the fact that the car had issues. The car broke down the same day I purchased it and I contacted the dealership and all I received is sorry you purchased the car as is and there is nothing we can do for you. What a great way to treat a customer that actually stood behind the Herzog Meier brand. I strongly believed that they would not sell junk on their lot but I guess you can not always judge a book by its cover. I definitely learned my lesson this time around. I will never recommend anyone to this dealership and I will not return either. Again... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO MY WORST ENEMY.

In my earlier review I complained that Herzog-Meier Mazda did not honor a written quote Jess Tichenor (one of their internet specialists) provided over email. As my earlier review noted, part of the reason my wife and I found this so distressing is that we drove four hours to the dealership because the deal was so good. After writing to the managers listed on the dealer website, I was contacted by Yeon Kim, one of their managers, who honored close enough to the original deal to satisfy my wife and myself. Furthermore, he had the car delivered to me in Washington. Though the problem could have been avoided had the salesman and floor manager honored the written quote when we arrived, we are VERY SATISFIED with how the dealership stepped up and did the right thing in the end.

Dealership refused to honor a written quote they emailed us. Don't believe Jess Tichenor, one of the internet people. When Pat Covert, our salesman, saw the price (a price we confirmed with Jess over email twice and over the phone), he said it was a mistake and there was no way they could meet it. My wife and I rented a car and drove four hours to go to Herzog-Meier because the price and financing were perfect, but had to drive the long four hours back disappointed because the would not honor a written quote on a vehicle.

I spoke with Bob Lewis on the phone prior to going to dealership, explained I would purchase the Jetta if all was as promised in the special VW lease agreement with no hidden charges etc. Arrived to dealership and all was ready and waiting exactly as promised. I was relieved and shocked. It was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Almost too good to be true.

I was very pleased with our salesman, Duane Meschke - he was articulate, knowlegeable, helpful, sincere and patient with our numerous questions - an exceptional car salesman. I would also like to acknowledge Coco, who was helpful in pairing m wife's cell phone to the bluetooth + showig us various other dashboard electronics. Duane & Coco are a couple of 1st class pros!

Nice dealership, nice lot, trained people, clean cars.When it came to price and trade in we had major haggling. First with salesman , then manager I was sent out , then manager 2 sent out. When I left no one was smiling. Two days later I called back offered 2,800 less than they wanted and got it for that plus additional 25 bucks salesman pleaded for . Never settle in front of the high pressure , walk out and give them a call later. They let you put up to 3 grand on credit card to hold till you get there.
