Amazing, stress-free experience! Props to Mike (manager) and Edgar! Very kind, generous, and considerate. They worked really hard to help get a great car with a great deal. The entire staff is amazing and make you feel welcomed! Update: 3 years later, leasing another new car, with extremely fast, efficient, and stress free experience. I'm very happy with their services and Mike is the best!

I recently financed my first car through Honda City Chicago. My experience walking through the door was a great one. Adrienne ended up helping me through the sale. She was kind and bubbly and honest. She was patient but quick with paperwork and answered any of my questions with ease. The test drive was great! She was very entertaining with some accessories in the car. I got a good interest rate. It was snowing so they sent me out with my new 2019 Honda Civic through the side door on the main road. I hesitated so the door came down on the back of my car. However, they quickly took it to the shop and repaired it in no time. I loved Adrienne! She is fantastic. If you ask for her, you won't regret it.

My First Car Purchase I made was 11 years ago at this Honda City Dealership. At the time I bought a used 2005 Honda accord and my experience was awesome so it was a No Brainer to go back for my next vehicle purchase. This time I decided it was time for NEW car, I was very nervous and anxious, Adrienne was great she made the car buying experience smooth. I appreciated her patience and attention to detail. Thank You Adrienne and The Honda city family.

Purchased a 2009 Honda Element and failed the emissions test one year later. Got it checked out by my local service center and was told somebody did a hack job on a catalytic converter and it would need to be replaced. I was never told there was an after market catalytic converter on the car and now its costing me $600. Honda City won't do anything about it and said its my problem now.

Beware of their internet easy price quote. I think it's their tactics to bring customer in. The quote provided was not honored when we came in. We were given a price of at least $5,000 more than we had expected. We made the trek down, check in hand, to buy, and we walked out frustrated.

BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!! Wish I read these awful reviews before I wasted my time there.Well, the dealership e-mailed me a quote for an awesome price, I called to confirm and they confirmed. When I arrived, turned out it was a human error, they were sorry, and they couldn't honor that price. Should've been red flag right there... We decided to go without the DVD and still purchase the brand new 2016 HONDA ODYSSEY EX-L with them. Sales person was Jesse Aguinana. We got the price written on a piece of paper, +tax was written next to it. We both initialled it, I paid a $500 deposit because they didn't have my color and were going to bring it the next day, and off I went to the finance office. There, the price was $200 more. I asked why, and the person there went to get the manager for me - Ryan. Ryan walked in right away trying to be initimidating, sat down, tossed a piece of paper aside, and says: your car has wheel locks. I said that I understand, but the final price was already decided upon and showed him that paper, and asked why that price wasn't final after all. He started throwing my papers around, saying I give customers a bad name, and because of people like me other people can't get a good price, and on and on. He was literally YELLING at me! I've never been talked to like that in as long as I can remember. I said: I'm sorry, what's your name? He says: I DON'T HAVE ONE! I said: ok, I no longer am doing business here, refund my deposit please. He storms out of the office and yells to the cashier lady, REFUND HER MONEY, LET HER GO. I was crying, had a headache for the rest of the day. NEVER AGAIN am I EVER going there, and I told this to EVERYONE I know to save them their time and trouble.Went to CONTINENTAL HONDA in LAGRANGE, and bought my brand new white Honda Odyssey EX-L with them.

I was sold a stolen car. The dealership neglected their legal responsibility to do due diligence before selling me a car. Completely unprofessional and immoral leaving me with over a thousand dollar debt and no car. Do not buy from this dealership.

Warning, warning, warning, from the general manager, to the sales manager, to the sales person the worst customer service ever and that includes Comcast. Recommend you stay away unless you wanted to be treated like crap as you hand over $40000 for a new car.

I had an emergency flat tire that needed to be take care of. I have Honda Care roadside assistance in which my car was towed to this dealer seeing as it was the nearest dealer. My car was towed at 9am and I still hadn't received any calls by 11am about my car. I called the dealer and they had no clue where my car was and it had not "been looked at yet" once they did find it. I got a call around 12:30pm to give me the estimates on the flat. At that point I requested to have my oil changed in addition to the flat tire since I was planning to take my car in on Monday to my own Honda Dealer. They said they would complete all maintenance without any problems and would give me a call when the service was complete.Several hours later I received no phone calls to let me know that my car was ready for pick-up. I called the dealer after work at 5:45pm and was placed on hold because they could not find any paperwork for me and had to look for my car. In the course of being on hold, they asked me 3 times what kind of car I had which tells me they weren't really listening the first time I told them. They asked me if I was told that my car would be ready for pick-up the same day. I told them that there was no reason that it shouldn't be done as my car arrived to their shop at 9am with a flat tire and needed only an oil change. I demanded that the car be fixed as I live more than an hour away from work and had no other way to get home. The gentlemen told me he would call me back and let me know what was going on and that he would have to call his manager Andres. 30 minutes later, still no return phone call. I called the service department back and this time they said they were going to complete my paperwork and that the car should be ready. I arrived to the service department around 7:00pm and paid for the service to find the cashier either texting or on facebook on her cell phone. As I approached the counter, she didn't even bother to look up but finished whatever she was doing on her cell phone before she asked what I needed. Upon paying the cashier, I asked if the oil change had been done, she replied with "yes." After a few minutes, she looked at the invoice "puzzled" and then asked me to sign. When I looked later on at the paperwork, there was no indication that the oil change had been done at all. When my car was brought around for pick-up by the service dept., the volume of the car radio was at 100% blasting music. I could hear the car radio from inside the shop. I never have my car radio on when I leave my car so I know it was the service men. I also noticed the radio channels had been changed. I don't know if these service men think they are driving their own cars but I was irate that they were screwing with a customers car as if it was their personal car.I still will now need to go and get my oil change on Monday from my own Honda Dealer which has 100% better service than this place and could of saved me a trip if they did what I asked them to do. I will never have my car taken to Honda City again for any kind of service even in an emergency.

Last night I went to this dealer (Honda City Chicago) with two of my friends that were interested on buying a new CR-V Touring ($35,000.00 +/-) and here is what happened...I went with them 'cos I got some experience buying cars from dealerships in the past 20 years so they ask me to help them negotiate the price and the loan since this was the first time for them buying a new car.Just to start, sales reps does not have enough desks to accommodate customers so you have to wait for a desk to sit down and start negotiating. After we spend a couple of hours negotiating the price and getting approved for a loan of $22,000.00 approx. they demanded to see the $13,000.00 cash that we have as down payment after that a finance guy named Richard (In case that was his real name) came to our desk with some crazy numbers and trying to force us to buy a loan for 60 months with a payment of $699.00 per month OMG!!! (please do the math). When I try to show him what kind of predatory loan this was, things got ugly with him, he got really mad and left the table throwing all the papers to me and my friends and throwing insults to me specifically. The worst thing here is not the unprofessional attitude of this guy, I think the worst think here is how this dealer try to trick customers into PREDATORY LOANS like the one he was trying to sell us, taking advantage of people that is trying this experience for the first time.NO DOUBT IN ORDER TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUYS YOU NEED A CALCULATOR AND A LOT OF COMMON SENCE.Please Buyer be really aware.Thank You

Beware. From talking to reputable dealerships, most will not certify a vehicle that has been in a major accident. Although, to the extreme side, Zimmerman Honda in Moline IL would not certify a vehicle that had a 2 inch scuff/scratch on the rear bumper. I was trying to figure out why an air box fastener was missing on my 2014 Odyssey. When I replaced the bolt, I had to use several thick washers to fix the misalignment. This prompted me to dig further. It appeared as if the entire frame was canted. Then looking at the welds, they were very sloppy and nothing like the opposite side of the car. This car was in a significant front end collision but did not show up on the carfax report. Perhaps, Honda City covered up the repair work? We'll never really know. But, the fact that Ryan Graham (general manager) ignored all of my emails and calls, kind of tells me someone is admitting guilt. The salesman Jesse was helpful. I bought the car late at night after the dealership was closed. It was missing the floor mats and the owner's manual. After much persistence I was sent a 2012 manual, then a 2014 manual, and had to pick up the floor mats because shipping was "too expensive". Also, only two of the three mats were found. Not a good experience overall. Would not do again. Stay away from Honda City.

I went there early this year. I did my research on what I was looking for and had 3 cars in mind. I arrived, and the sales person made everything seem ssoooo easy and smooth, we came to the conclusion that I would pay 305.00 monthly. I even added the AIP warranty. (interior warranty for 2,000.00 more) ... To make story short, it was 9:00pm when I finally made the decision, some guy Jesse took over the first person I was dealing with had to leave at 9:00pm, once it was time to sign paperwork ,the contract said I would be paying 330.00 monthly. it doesn't seem a lot of money, but in the long run, where are my $1,500 going to?? I questioned it and they said "is 330.00 too much that you wont be able to afford? " Let me remind you that I felt pressured because I did a trade in, so by the time it was time to sign all agreements, they had already "helped" me move my stuff from one car to the other and they had even put the plates on the new vehicle. Fine, I signed and went home... I love my car, but I am paying for the AIP Warranty, which they told me "if your seats get dirty, torn or stained, bring it in and we either clean it or replace the seats" I have taken my car in TWICE this year since March and both the times I missed work, and unfortunately, I get my vehicle back The same way I took it in!!! This second time happened just last week.. So why exactly am I paying for this AIP warranty??? Of course I call a manager and leave voicemail, but until this day, I have not received a call back! I call the dealer to ask questions and everyone seems lost, plus they all give me different answers.. I love my car, I love Hondas, but I will never get a car from here again!! I am still wondering where my $3,000-$3,500 are going to!!!

The sales person who helped us was nice, but we did not end up buying here. We expected to negotiate a deal, or at least to get the price advertised on Cars.com. But the manager kept adding several undisclosed fees that increased the advertised price more than 25%, even before TTL. They would not honor the advertised price. It was a total waste of time.

Bought odyssey with dent warranty and they install entertainment system as add-on. After a year we called for an appointment to fix the dent but when we arrived they said we didn't have an appointment. I even called twice b4 coming in to confirm coz we leave in round lake which is an hour drive to pulaski. Me and my husband had to debate so hard just to accommodate us coz it's not our fault. We even took day off coz they only do dent repair on a weekday. Today we have an appointment to fix the door lock which I scheduled a week ago and now they're saying again we don't have an appointment in their system. That's not only what's pissing me off, gurnee dealer refused to fix the door lock coz they said the wiring was tampered when entertainment system was installed so we have to bring it back to pulaski dealer. It's already a nightmare to drive to pulaski and then they keep mesing up our appointment in their system. We'll never buy again a car from honda city.

Very dissapointing customer service. I booked for a test drive for 2 certified preowned 2014 Honda Civic 2 days back. And yesterday I again rechecked with them , is that cars still available because I was going thr in my friends car and that also 2 hours drive. And today morning also I called them to say that I am coming. These 3 times they said both the cars are available and ready for test drive..and when I came there both cars are not there. They checked and told us both cars are in service station without any guilty feeling.. We were extremely frustrated with their behavior . After all this manager was very rude to us.. We never see this type of irresponsible and rude behavior from anyone. Very much frustrated..

First of all, I wish there is zero star rating because I will pick this rating! I never wrote a review in life. Something is extremely awful and worst that prompted me to open my first dealerrater account to write my first review in life, hoping to spread the words to help others stay away from this dealership based on my own experience.I lived down the street from this dealer (within 3 miles radius). This is my second visit to them. This will be definitely my last time. Out of my stupidity, I bought a 2006 Honda Odyssey EX-L with 112K miles on May 9th from them, thinking it would be safer getting a 'certified' Honda car from Honda dealership, rather than from those mom-and-pop shops down on Archer. My first visit to this dealer was about 7 years ago, trying to trade-in my old dodge caravan. When the car we wanted didn't work out, we thanked for their time and asked for our caravan key back so that we could leave. They actually 'confiscated' my key to my van and kept bringing different similar cars for us to see. I kept telling them 'no thanks I don't like besides the car we came in to see, please give my keys back'. I started actually getting worried due to their hostility behavior towards us (partly it was due to my English was not fluent back then). Finally the manager (I wish I remember his name) stormed out from the office and yelled at us which I still vividly remember "DO YOU KNOW HOW VALUABLE MY TIME IS? VERY VALUABLE (he answered his own question in louder tone lol) blah blah.." I kept my cool thinking they had my keys and said that "Sir, sorry for all the trouble, we just wanted our keys back, thank you very much for your time!" Thinking back then, unbelievable, talking about service..xxx, well, I regretted so much that this experience didn't flag my consumer warning alarm, and I went back 7 years later...lol. Yeah I screwed up lol Back to now. I took the Honda van home at 2pm that day. Found out there is grease and oil on my garage floor. Raised the car with my jack and found out that the bottom of the car is soaked in a mess of oil and grease. CV axle, power steering rack, drip pan, etc all were leaking. I understand I bought the car AS-IS and no warranty. Lemon law only protects new car purchase. Went online to look for the ad again on their website at 4:30pm, and it was already taken off. Now I understand why they wanted me to sign the ad and CarFax. Well, technically they didn't commit Misrepresentation (False Advertisement) because they don't have to fully disclosure the condition of the car besides features. Nice move! Honda CityIn addition, the car was never advertised with the word 'Certified' by this Honda dealership, Now i see why they never used this word for all of their pre-owned/used cars advertised on their website. From CarFax they provided, 03/21/2015 Honda City Chicago Pre-delivery inspection completedMaintenance inspection completedFour tires mounted and balancedOil and filter changedWasher nozzle(s) adjusted/repaired04/30/2015 Honda City Chicago Vehicle serviced The word 'inspection' above is obviously not associated with usual Honda Multi-Inspection advertised on their Service Center of this dealer on their website because if it does, any Honda technicians with eyes can tell the car is leaking massively, plus they had to lift up the car to do an oil change, well I guess the inspection was not done by any of their quoted "knowledgeable car service technicians." or the oil change has been never done because of the last oil change sticker on windshield was long past due. Nice move! Honda City If you happen to be as stupid as I was to step in Honda City Chicago, never deal with Andy Chen from Tsingtao city China. Not only is he rude and look down on his customers in his verbal and altitude, but also he lied in any way he can about the car to just make a deal! For those non-chinese speakers, I am Chinese so that I can approve this for you because I actually bought this from him lol In case you want to look him up in facebook, here it is: facebook.com/profile.phpWell life is all about learning from your mistakes. Lesson well learned. Honda City Chicago taught me a good lesson that I should invest in the following:-my car knowledge-bringing a good flashlight upon my next used car purchase-never deal with rude salesmen with altitude-new and used car consumers' rights-most importantly, STAY AWAY FROM HONDA CITY CHICAGO ONCE FOR ALL!P.S. They initially lied to customers that they have to buy those third-party 'interior protection warranty' $895 on top of sales price which was not advertised on the ad and supposed to be optional. The accountant would never take the time to at least explain to you what you are signing on paper so do your homework first if you are ready to step in this place! So for people with not very good English, again do your homework first! Or all sum up to be one word...AVOID!

I thought that the representative that I dealt with, Jessica, was very personable, and, most importantly, helpful. Overall, everyone I dealt with was respectful throughout the process. When options were declined, they told me about the potential benefits, but never seemed to twist my arm into anything, which I greatly appreciated. I liked that my electronic communications were not overbearing nor overwhelming. I was also impressed by the fact that the quote I received was honored, and not just provided to entice me to visit. It was just a smooth and pleasant experience.

Used Car - additional $800 built in for interior warrenty. No way to have it taken out... fine... we let that go. Bought a 2007 Quest. Two months later - Car is acting up. Took it in and here is the list of repairs needed -- computer warped and cracked, needs transmission, needs timing chain, needs new routers and brakes (front and back), engine mount cracked, tire sensor needs to be replaced, and gaskets leaking. Luckily we purchased the extended warrenty. Covered the timing chain, transmission, and engine mount. Requested Honda to at least help with paying for the computer being cracked. That is ridiculous - how could 2 months warp a computer. Honda City said the car had a clean bill of health before we purchased -- and since we bought as is... it is our problem. Nice. Make sure you have a mechanic come and check their used cars over really good. Better yet - Don't go to Honda City Chicago on Pulaski.

in went to the dealership to purchase a used escalade, was greeted great at the door. my problem is they wouldn't come down on the used car price. the price that was on the internet and window sticker was the price they wanted me to pay.used escalades are everywere. this isn't the only one around that they expect people to pay sticker price.they wanted me to pay for a interior warranty, covering rips on the seats and carpeting.when I asked I didn't want it I was told its already included that I would have to pay for it. when he couldn't come close to my asking price he told me ok we cant lower the price. no im sorry or heres my business card or il call you if we can help you out. just handed me my keyes . I go out to get my truck and its a block away. I had parked it in front of the store. ive emailed them since to see if they can help me out. no emails or phone calls,. my daughter just finished college and wants a little Honda we would of gone to purchased one there but not no more.

This was the worst experience I had with a dealrship, not to mention the incompetence of the sales staff for insisting that they pay the taxes for out of state titleing, losing cars that were test driven not Twenty Four hours ago then locating said lost car and the car has damage to it that was not there Twenty Four hours ago and still expecting full price! Onstar mirror for $1500 you can keep it. Its insulting to me that the salesman still expects full price to a used car that there own valets did $700 to $1000 dollars in damage to a car in One day! When the salesman says " Let me run it by my boss" run for the door! This was Three hours of a complete waste of my time.

I've been car shopping for quite some time now; however, nothing seemed to suit me well. I came here because of the online reviews, and I'm glad I did my research. Best customer service I have ever seen at a dealership. Jessica explained everything very thoroughly, super friendly, and never did I feel pressured to make a decision. She even helped negotiate the price to somewhere I felt comfortable at! Definitely recommend her if you're going in!

I went to the dealership by myself with a small amount of cash looking for a used Civic to get me through my next three years of school. The staff was very nice and showed me lots of great cars. They all rode super smooth and very clean. However, eventually and to my own surprise, I ended up getting a brand new black Honda Civic EX. I love my car! I never new that a new car could be so affordable. I used half of my cash as a down payment and other half will cover my next 5 months of car payments and insurance. My sales person's name was Ricardo Gallarzo. He was super patient, helpful and funny. Also, the general manager J.C. came and Pat (rom finance) were great too. I am definitely buying my next car from them.

Out of all the dealerships that I have contacted, Honda City Chicago is the only rude dealership I've come across. Specifically Travis Crull. As someone bearing the title "Manager", getting a rude response from him was really unexpected and very very disappointing.Customers always shop around and try to find good deals from several dealers. Apparently Travis with his "Manager" title doesn't understand this. This is how it went down:I asked if he could further lower the price and he said that he was not authorized to do so, only to get back to me a few days later, after I had told him that I would proceed with a different dealer, saying that he now could lower the price. I was still willing to give Honda City Chicago a chance and asked Travis to provide me with his new offer. And his response was this:"Why? So you can try to use it against me to get a lower price that you will try to get someone to honor? I have a lower price then what you are being quoted and what is being advertised through other sites. You don't want to do business with me, you just want the cheapest price you can find. However, I want to provide you with excellent service, a great deal and establish a business relationship, when you are ready for this you can feel free to reach out to me."WHAT? Of course customers want to shop around for the best price.Such a rude email really shows the level of unprofessionalism that Honda City Chicago has. Please learn your manners and don't claim that you are providing excellent service when you are NOT doing it.No wonder you are rated 1.5 out of 5 starts on Yelp. And this is based on 38 reviews!Stop posting fake good comments on this site.PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST. THERE ARE MANY OTHER DEALERS WHO REALLY ARE TRYING HARD TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT SERVICE AND WIN THE HEART OF THEIR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.

We came on Saturday with my husband to test drive 2012 Honda CRV EX-L and had the most disappointing experience. We inquired about this vehicle online and emailed the dealership multiple times. We told them right away via email that we are interested in the vehicle, but we were on a strict budget and will pay cash and cannot exceed certain amount for this car. They told us that we can negotiate when we come in: "We only negotiate beyond internet price in person, once you are here we would be happy to entertain that offer".On the day of the appointment my husband called in the morning to confirm that we will arrive around noon. When we arrived, we told them who we were, but nobody was expecting us and they had problems locating the car. After waiting for about 30 mins, they found the car which apparently was not driven for at least a month cuz the battery was dead and they had to jump start it. When we went for a test drive, the steering wheel locked and the car shut down in the middle of the road. The sales guy called service to pick us up since the car was not in a driving condition. When we arrived at the dealership, manager (?) Miles seemed to be nervous. He came out, did not even apologize for inconvenience. He just left to pick up the broken car off the road. He seemed to care more about a broken car rather than us. After this disappointment we headed home. As we were driving home, internet sales person Travis called us and told that the car was fixed and asked me to come back for a test drive. I decided to turn around and give it a second chance. When I came back, the car was ready. After the test drive sales person Jessica came to us with the ridiculous total price of $28'000!!! (I would buy a new car for a cheaper price!). The price for the car was $21'500, but they started up-selling stuff like certification, interior insurance, On Star service, etc. We told we don't need any of that stuff. We made our offer and we were interested in the car only. Jessica told us that internet asking price is not negotiable, which was not what we were told originally. We did not see any other offer coming from Jessica. She started telling nonsense such as they are loosing money by selling us the car. Showed us the dealers purchase invoice that they bought the car for $22500 which meant they were loosing $1000 by selling it to us. She also told us that she is making only $50 from this deal so its so not worth for her. This BS was beyond ridiculous. We came in with open hands, telling in the email exactly what we want and the price we can pay, instead we had nothing but problems and in the end nobody made a counteroffer. Not even a single dollar less! I feel being misled and not appreciated as a customer. I told their team right away that I do not want to waste anyone's time. This should have lasted no more than 1 hour, where we spent 6 hours total where everything went wrong.

My overall buying experience was excellent, it was after the sale I had problems. I brought a used vehicle, an excellent the car that had 3 issues that were not resolve to my satisfaction. Two of them were minor problems that I took care of, the third has not been resolved and probably will not be. I believe the dealership could have taken care of the problems with ease, but because it was a used vehicle and I had accepted delivery, they deferred two of the problems to my extended warranty, one which will cost me $100.00 deductible (the one that will probably not be resolve)and the third I have to go to the DMV to replace the front license place that the porter claims he left in the car.Overall the car was priced competitively, my salesman Zak Khan was professional, and the deal was closed to my satisfaction. It was after the sale that I was disappointed.

I just bought my mum a brand new Honda CR-V from their dealership and we're getting buyer's remorse to the point that we can't even enjoy the new car we bought. They made our experience a nightmare by lying to us (i.e. low-balling us by telling us one price in writing and then going back on it once we were in the dealer). And then they threw a scene at the dealer when we wanted to think about their offer and see other dealers! The process took so long (approx.5 hours). If it weren't for the fact that they (slightly had a better deal than all the others) I would have walked right out. I still wish I walked out and payed the extra price at the Continental Honda dealer that was at least honest with us and did their best to work with us. And if it weren't for the fact the car losses so much value just driving off the lot, I'd return it now...what can you do, you live and you learn right?

My experience indicates this dealer misrepresents internet quotes to get you in the door, then lowers the boom once you're in the door. The saga began when I used TRUECar to secure price quotes from multiple dealers. I selected Honda City because they quoted what appeared to be the lowest price for my vehicle. The internet manager called me to indicate he saw the quote go through and then advised that the actual price was actually lower than the TRUECar quote. We went over the details and he confirmed the details of that price. Later on, I called him back ane we went over everything again: the exact model, options, color, on-hand quantity and of course price. I also confirmed that the car had not suffered any damage from recent hail storms. Check, check and check. He confirmed everything. That activity took place on a Saturday afternoon, too late to get there that day, but he confirmed the quoted price would be good through close of business on Monday. So I take Monday morning off and drive up to Honda City. I meet the internet sales manager and he hands me off to a floor salesman who gets the car ready for a test drive, and so far all is well. We start the paperwork process, he starts filling out various forms and eventually comes back with the paperwork with the purchase price. I notice immediately that the price is not right. They had taken my Saturday price and added an $830 destination charge to it. They also added $1,995 for a "performance package" (door edge guards, pin stripe, free car washes, whatever). I point out to the salesman that, no, I had confirmed with the internet manager that his price included everything except sales tax and license, and that the car I had specified included was not supposed to have any other options. The salesman runs back and forth a few times with his manager and eventually agrees that I don't have to take the performance package. But the destination charge, that has to stay. I show my papers from TRUECar and explain that I had confirmed the price with the internet manager, but to no avail. When I threaten to leave, the sales manager comes in. He proceeds to explain to me that every car has a destination charge, that it has to be paid and that they add it to every car. Of course I know this, but he never even pretended to listen to my explanation that the price I was working from already included the destination charge, nor that I had confirmed that fact with his internet manager. There was more pointless discussion, as the sales manager kept insisting I was wrong, that I didn't understand how car prices work, etc. I told him that when someone offers a price to lure me to his place of business and then reneges on that price, that's a scam. He pretended to be insulted by that characterization and then said if I think I know more than he does about car pricing, then good luck to me. Well he had me there. I have to concede his knowledge of double counting and undisclosed add-ons is rather exceptional. Too bad he can't claim the same when it comes to honoring a deal. So, beware the internet quote from Honda City, which my experience suggests will change dramatically between your desktop and this dealership. In my case, the addition of a second $830 destination charge and the $1,995 Jerry Lundegaard Trucoat special raised my quoted price by a whopping $2,825. Had I known that was the price Honda City wanted, I would never have made the trip. I don't begrudge them selling cars for whatever they can get, but when they lure internet shoppers with false quotes and then try to bamboozle them once at the dealership, that I find disreputable and dishonest.I never liked the drama and subterfuge that comes from new car buying, thats why I went shopping on the internet in the first place. Unfortunately, some dealers just can't seem to resist the temptation to sweeten their end of what was supposed to be a done deal. There are many very good Honda dealerships in the greater Chicago area, but based on my experience, Honda City is not among them. I ended up buying the car I wanted at one fo the good guys. It was equipped as promised and at a price almost as good as the one Honda City weasled out of. At that point, I was more than happy to pay a premium to avoid doing business with this outfit.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted and sat down by Elena I explained to her what I was looking for and for every question I answered I was asked WHY. EVERY OTHER QUESTION WAS WHY. THEN SHE REFUSED TO SHOW ME THE CAR I WAS EMAILING ABOUT. ONCE SHE FINALLY SHOWED ME SOMETHING I WAS INTERESTED IN THIS MIDDLE AGED WOMAN "ELENA" STARTS YELLING AND CREAMING AT ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DIRTY SHOWROOM. HOW EMBARRASSING!!! SHE GAVE ME NO ROOM TO NEGOTIATE AND SHE SHOULD NOT BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. GO TO HONDA ON GRAND INSTEAD. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I WAS SHOWED THE VEHICLE I WAS LOOKING FOR WITHOUT BEING QUESTIONED WHY I LIKED IT. THE SALES PERSON VEER WAS VERY HELPFUL FINDING A CAR I LIKED FOR A PRICE I COULD AFFORD.

Recently went shopping for a vehicle and arrived at Honda City on Archer and Pulaski. I was still just shopping for a vehicle, and was approached by Mr. Aquinas who pointed me in the right direction. If your ever looking for a vehicle stop by and look for Jesse. There is a wide selection of vehicles so they have what your looking for. Thanks again Jesse.

I went in there just to ask about the exchange program and ended up driving out with the car I had in mind. Frank Gioz made everything smooth and easy as soon as I was introduced to him. He showed me everything I needed to know about the car. Im very grateful everything went smooth so that I could have the new car I've been looking at. You can definitely go in there with confidence.

After having done extensive research on the car I wanted, I was looking for someone to meet my price.Honda City agreed to that and I didn't feel like they were trying to upsell me or talk me into anything else.A week after buying the car- we had a tire issue- bolt in the tire and when I brought it in- Casey was really great about getting it fixed for me immediately.I would recommend this dealership

Upon arriving I was greeted by Jesus who I spoke to previously about wanting to test drive an Accord and CRV. I researched vehicles for a couple of months online and practiced due diligence in gathering information to make an informed decision. Prior to Honda, I'd tested and/or visited several competitors. Honda was rated the highest by most major car publications and consumer reports. Honda lived up to their stellar reputation for building quality vehicles and providing excellent customer service. The only difficulty that I had was deciding whether I wanted the Accord or CRV after test driving both vehicles. Jesus consulted with his managers and came back with very competitive pricing for both vehicles. After some consideration, I decided to purchase a black on black Honda Accord Sport Sedan. My new car looks elegant and classy and the drive is supple and smooth. After negotiating a fair price, I was taken to see Pat in Finance. I qualified for the lower interest rate and was informed of various payment term options. Throughout the entire process, the team at Honda City were very professional. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Please beware! I received an internet quote, if it's too good to be true then it probably is! The internet quote I received was a "deal" for a new Accord! I contacted the dealership, talked to the salesperson, asked about "on the road, out the door price", I was told that there would be the usual tax, title, licence, and a $25 doc fee added to the "e"quote price. He could not give me my fees on paper in writing because a manager has to do that, but no worries because there are no hidden fees. We took his word and traveled 5 hours one way-only to find out there are over $1500 worth of hidden fees! $790 destination fee, $166.27 doc fees plus a Cook County flat tax $15, an ERT fee $25 and some type of taxable $500 Honda rebate that they put into the price and claim to take it out but don't, plus additional costs for license and tittle fees because they send it out to another company for paperwork!! Wow! Shame on us for trusting this sales department! After speaking to the sales manager, it was basically our word against theirs. Hey, what can I say, they got us in the door and had the advantage!Work of advice-if you are asking for an internet quote, please be aware that there are many hidden charges not included in that price! I would not recommend purchasing an vehicle based on the "e"quote, and I would not recommend driving a long distance to waste your time doing so. Get it in writing or don't waste your time-lesson learned!

Had a terrible experience.Drove for an hour to reach the dealership only to find that the quote provided by them is just a pitch to make you come to the dealership. I questioned their business ethics and walked out immediately in just 15-20 minutes. The sales agent Ricardo was the most unprofessional and the most rude person I had ever dealt with and he does not know the basics of how to treat his customers. BEWARE, if you trust, you are giving them an opportunity to cheat you. The dealership is a fraudulent setup, not sure how Honda is associated with them. Stay away and save yourself some time and mostly having to deal with people who have no basic ethics.

I was interested in purchasing a car based on an online posting. The vehicle price was pre-negotiated over the phone before I arrived. When I arrived at the dealership I was shown the vehicle and wanted to purchase, unfortunately I didn't qualify for financing without a co-signer. The salesman talked me into putting a hold on the vehicle for $200. When I asked the salesman if that money would be refunded if my co-signer fell through they agreed. Feeling good I left the dealership to talk with my cosigner. An hour after I left the dealership I called to inform them that I needed to find another cosigner and that I'd need more time to do so. They would not refund the money. Do not, under any circumstance, go to this dealership. Plain English, they rip people off.

Still recovering from 2008. Credit was bad. I knew that I needed transportation and finances were in a shambles. I went to Honda City's used car lot. Frank approached me and we discussed my situation. After some number crunching and a review of my past history, Frank was able to get me a car. Not a used car but a new car. I went to Honda City to hopefully negotiate a new car, as I was at the end of my lease from a distant dealership. I was fortunate enough to have Gilbert Gallarzo as a salesman. He was not just friendly, he defied the stereotype of a car salesman! I have some credit issues right now due to illness. Due to this we were not able to find a deal in my price range or car choice. Despite the problems Gilbert remained helpful and went beyond patience in our interactions, treating me with respect and trying to do whatever he could. I appreciate very much that he did not try to push me into a predatory loan or go beyond that which I could afford. So- thanks Gilbert and Honda City. They will be my first choice dealer soon. My fiance and I are from Wisconsin. We drove over a hour and a half just to reach Honda City. When we arrived, Jessica Rivera took us under her wing and went above and beyond to assist us. We are young and barely have any credit but Jessica was determined to find us a car and a payment that we were comfortable with. We originally bought the 2013 Honda Fit, but after a week of driving it, we did not like it. After informing Jessica that we were unhappy, we drove back to Chicago. Jessica was there waiting for us with cars she thought would be a better fit for us. We are more than gracious to have had her as our sales representative. We can not imagine having a more down to earth sales rep to assist us in buying our first car. She did not know us before we came to Honda City, but now we have a positive experience to remember. We will be back next year to buy another car from Jessica. Thank you!

"If you happen to come across a good deal from this dealer's posting and you stop by their office to only find that the vehicle of your choice was just sold around 30 mins ago, then please be aware that you might be at a risk of some pre-orchestrated sales malpractice. Living in southern part of illinois, i contacted their sales associate Dalila over the phone to verify if the vehicle i am looking for is still available to which she confirmed that its still available. Since i have to travel for more than couple of hours to get there, i asked if she can hold the vehicle for me so that i dont waste my trip and she cordially agreed to do that. I diligently followed up with her before starting my travel to ensure the vehicle is still available and she confirmed. Upon reaching their office, it was difficult to believe that it was a Honda dealership looking at their office setup. We were greeted by Frank and he first entered all my info in their system though i was insisting to meet Dulila. He said she sits in another building and cant meet. Upon inquiring about the vehicle i was looking for, he said it was just sold just around 30 mins before we reached there. Had it been a few miles drive, i would have never minded, but we drove more than 3 hrs under inclement weather conditions to get there only to experience some sort of foul play because the vehicle i was looking for was in market for over 100 days per internet search. I am going to separately file a complaint with Honda manufacturer to investigate when this vehicle was actually sold and about the sales practice this dealership is adopting. With utter dissatisfaction, when tried to leave that place, Frank asked us to look at some of the other vehicles they are offering. And after looking at the vehicle and talking to him, we were totally shocked to hear the following: 1. The vehicles that they display as "Certified" are actually NOT "HONDA" certified but they are just "HONDA CITY" certified. Upon inquiring further he told it will cost around 2500$ to make it Honda certified. So in essence the vehicles that they put up as "Certified" is just an eye-wash to get the customers pull to their store and then reveal these fine prints. So far any legitimate dealer i have come across have always maintained the sanctity of presenting a "Certified" vehicle. 2. He bluntly told us that they put some AIP (paint protection) on the interiors of all their vehicles and its a non-negotiable 995$ price on the top of listed price. We were totally baffled to see this kind of shady practice of not being TRANSPARENT about their pricing on the internet. Overall i strongly discourage the fellow customers before approaching this dealer. Also please doubly make sure the vehicle you are looking for, does REALLY exist for sale. To me it looks like a very unprofessional practice to draw customers to their store and show every other vehicle than the one you got attracted for. I will let Honda manufacturer validate these findings and help innocent customers from being cheated."

I went online and researched a variety of minivans and SUVs. I found several different options, and decided to make a day of shopping for a new large automobile. I was scheduled to visit many dealerships, but as soon as I got to Honda City and met Frank, I knew I didn't need to go anywhere else. Frank led me to the car I had selected, a 2008 Uplander, and we drove around for a bit. I told him it wasn't the right fit and rather than pressure me into buying it, he let me browse the rest of the cars on the lot. He was extremely courteous, pointing out both the pluses and the minuses of each automobile we looked at. I eventually decided upon a minivan, and we test drove 3 different models; Frank allowed me to go on the highway, check city streets, and even drive over an icy alley to demonstrate the traction control. I have never experienced better service before!I ended up purchasing a 2010 Dodge Caravan. It is the perfect fit for me. However, I found out after one day of driving in the city that the horn was broken. I called Frank up, and he immediately offered to have me bring the car in. It turned out to be a pretty big deal (had to replace the horn), but Frank took car of everything. Took the car in, fixed it up, gave me a free rental, and had the car back to me in no time. Frank is an exceptional salesman. I am very slow to trust people, especially car salesmen, but Frank showed himself to be a true professional. He does not pressure you, answers all your questions, and is a genuine person. I highly recommend that anyone visit Honda City and seek out Frank for their needs. He is truly amazing!

I sent an email to Honda city on a used suv. I was contacted rite away which was great, but that was the best part of my experience I went to the dealer that night and unfortunately the suv was dirty inside and out literally had clean me on back window plus the inside was filthy. Alright I can bypass that the sales man was ok but with a great credit score I didnt buy the car. Reason I was going to finance on my own through the same bank almost 3% less would not haggle or come down. So this was not a great experience I understand they have to make money. So my assumption is this is a bottom feeder dealer for problem credit.

I worked with Honda City back in November 2012. Unfortunately, I did not purchase from them because they did not have the color that I wanted in stock. I ended up purchasing at Ed Napelton Honda which turned out to be a very bad decision. When my Odyssey was declared a total loss in a flood, I decided to go back to Honda City to make a deal. Everyone I dealt with showed me the upmost respect. They did not try to play games with the deal like many other dealers do. Gilbert was patient with me and allowed me to test drive several different vehicles till if found the right one. In the end, I made out better than I expected and got the van that I will enjoy for years to come. Thanks Hector.

I would consider myself a client that frequently pruchases vehicles. My home tends to always have two loans and we have owned/leased 2 vehciles at a time for the last 10 years. The car shopping process has not always been exciting and even at times, a burden. However, coming across a deal online at Honda City forced me to call and set up an appointment to drive 40 miles to look at a car. After a week of shopping at Nissan and Kia, I felt ripped off on the trade in value and their negotiating, at times treating me like I was a delinquent for a small credit blip when my wife lost her job years ago. As soon as I walked in Honda City, I did not get that feeling and I just knew I was buying a car. I was approached by Myles Horvath who showed me the car and took me on a test drive. He, too, was assured that we were going to come to terms. He listened to exactly what I was trying to achieve (trade in value, payment range, down payment). He turned it over to Tim Marozas, who listened to Myles and started working. I can honestly say that I felt like they were on my side. The trade in value was spot on and they never asked me for a down payment. Tim was honest about the "issues" tying up the loan and keeped in the loop as he fought with lenders to get me what I wanted. After an hour, Tim and Myles got as close to my goals than any other dealer and I went home with the car. I love the car and it fits the needs of my family and price range. We are still suprised on how it all went down and that our goals were never compromised by Tim or Myles. It was not a normal vehicle transaction as it was smooth and the negoiating was painless. I got a great rate and a 2013 Honda Accord with the trims. I appreciate Tim and Myles listening and all the extra steps Tim took to make me and my wife happy. The best car purchase I made from start to finish. I wish that the Kia dealership I visited would take a page from Honda City's book on listening to their customer! Thanks again.

The reason I'm leaving this rating is because the customer service at Honda city was incredible, Jose was great! not because i actually bought car but these guys were extremely nice. The entire staff wether they were helping me or not was very pleasant. I went in looking for a used vehicle and ended up purchasing a new 2012 Honda civic with 14 miles. And what i liked the most is the price was very reasonable, also i wasn't there as long as i thought i would be, that's always a drag when going to a dealership but not the case here. Great dealer and JC was awesome as well. God bless you guys keep up the good work!

This was my husband an I first time purchasing a vehicle together. We did a lot of research and contacted numerous dealers before finally settling on this one. We noticed right away that they were professional, friendly and very quick about getting back to us. Our paperwork was processed right away and they made it so easy to purchase a car, even though we live all the way in Milwaukee. They were very courteous. What really impressed me was the fact that the sales associate waited outside of the greyhound station for almost two hours to pick us up! Our bus was very late getting there and when we all finally met, he greeted us with a big smile and reassured us that the wait was no problem at all. Myles is a very kind, honest and personable dealer. He as well as the rest of the staff made us feel welcomed and were very kind. All of our questions were answered and there was nothing hidden from us. Myles and everyone else we spoke to like Mike and Pat explained everything that we were signing and where the extra charges were coming from. The car was in excellent condition! Everyone who has seen it so far says that it does not look like a starter or even a used car; and once they heard how much we paid for it they were really impressed! We looked at several dealers and even priced the same car elsewhere and NO ONE was beating the price of this dealership. I am so pleased and thankful to have come across this dealership over the internet. We have already highly recommended this dealership and Myles to at least five of our friends who are seriously considering buying a new car; we even offered to drive them ourselves in our new vehicle! Overall we are VERY pleased with our experience with this dealership and our sales associate Myles. We plan to purchase our second car with this dealership and I hope that Myles is still there when we do. Myles really made what could have been a stressful experience and turned it into a pleasurable one. Although all of the staff was warm and friendly, I am very glad to have met Myles and I am glad that he was our sales associate. Myles and this dealership went above and beyond what is required which showed me that he really cares not just about the sale but about us as well. I can't wait until my friends become ready to purchase their car so that we can see everyone at the dealership again!

I never owned or driven a vehicle....Always had a Driver's license....I recommend this dealership because they have a Car display service at Ford City Mall, so I was able to first hand see the best & popular models.....The consellors are friendly and knowledgeable bout each car displayed....If you want, I allowed a credit check and was approved....Then next, with no sales pressure, the finance banker wanted me to come in for a test drive. The consellors called for a sale rep (Jose Huicochea) to transport me and my sister at another location, at there actual dealership....Mr. Huicochea was very professional and friendly, I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect.....He made me feel comfortable with no sells pressure....The dealership is well managed, very clean, all the car sitting on the lot were well maintenanced, and customer service is very organized, professional and the sales rep. was really helpful without pressure........He negotiated a reasonable price for the model I wanted and later they summited me the keys to a Brand New 2013 Honda Fit 5DR, my very first car first time car owner....The dealership allowed me to test drive the vehicle prior to the negotiations & sales rep. also demonstrated the features to the car, buy driving it around the lot himself to show the power of the speed.....The paperwork process was organized and my terms and conditions, my warranty, insurance and financed contract/agreement was explained thoroughly and all my questions were answered with a professional nice attitude.......So now I have the peace of mind that I made the best choice of a vehicle that fit my needs and budget.......

My experience with Honda City was great. They honored my internet quote. Samuel Day was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. He encouraged and provided two test drives to help confirm my selection. He also gave excellent explanations and demonstrations of the features on my new car. He also made follow up calls to check if I had further questions. This was a very nice experience.

Ricky Perez made us feel right at home and got us a car that we both could afford and liked. He made friends with my son and to me that meant a lot because we were doing this as a family and Ricky included him. He took the time to run us around and to make sure that we were very well taken care of. If it was not for Ricky I truly think we would still be walking home. Thank you Ricky Perez and Honda City.

I had been around looking for a car but with low expectations due to the unprofessional way other dealers handled things, especially regarding my inquiries about what papers were required as a newly arrived into Chicago.Coming to Honda City was a welcome surprise. Ricky Perez was able to build on what I knew I wanted and eased the way to make sure I got the used car I was looking for. Sure enough, after seeing the wide range of Hondas they have (more than other dealers), Ricky was highly knowledgeable regarding the paperwork to help me drive off with exactly what I wanted.Rick also introduced me to the GM, Mr Prats, who was also very friendly and honestly concerned about making sure that things went fine.I will make a point of recommending this dealership and Ricky Perez to friends.Jose.

I walked into Honda City looking to have my personal needs in a vehichle met and I believe I have experienced just that. I am currently looking to save, but I needed a car for work and my old car was not what it use to be. Samuel worked with me, he let me know my options, and help me find a car within my price range and one that will also help me save in gas millage. I never once felt pressured or forced to purchase the vehicle and I never felt overwhelmed with my decision. I am happy with my purchase and I would not mind working with Mr. Day in the future.

We also weren't sure if we wanted the LX, EX, or EX-L. Gilbert Gallarzo was very patient and let us take all the time we wanted. He was very good at answering all of our questions. We are very happy with our Honda CR-V 2013 EX-L purchase. I would definitely recommend Mr. Gallarzo and Honda City to friends and family. I purchased a vehicle on Saturday, Feb. 23. My principal salesman was Samuel Dey, who was very attentive, very helpful in answering questions I had about the vehicle, and never made me feel like I was being rushed into making a decision. When I returned home, I noticed an error in the information on the paperwork and I had to return to the dealership on Monday to have the original documents voided and corrected documents prepared. I do have to say, however, that when I returned to the delearship on Monday, Feb. 25, to correct the papers, the person I dealt with ("Patrick" in Finance) was very helpful, addressed all of my concerns, and fixed everything quickly. Mistakes happen; I understand that. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this dealer to other potential Honda car buyers.

The reason why I gave Honda City Chicago, the rating was because when I first enter the dealer ship Mr. Day gave us a nice and warm hello and welcome to Honda City. I will be right with you in a minute. Then when Mr. Day came over to us he said thank you for your patient how can I help you. I told him what kind of car I was looking for in he ask me have I every driven a Honda before and I told him no. He then ask me If I would like to go for a test drive and I said yes, He took me on a test drive and while I was driving Mr. Day was explaining everything too me. My overall with Mr. Day was very exciting and he was very very professional. I would recommend everyone too Mr. Samuel Day. Thanks Honda City for a job well done.

Recently purchased 2 cars from them and had service done on one of the cars that had a recall, well drop the car off and had an hour to wait for the car so instead standing around i went to look at the new cars, when i got there Gilbert Gallarzo confronted me and i told him that i purchased recently 2 new cars there and one of them was a 2013 honda crv but i really like the new honda accord he said we can help you get the accord , so i said oki if you can keep my payments no more than what i,m paying now which is 479,86 than we can make a deal, he told me to wait , well some time went by and he comes back and tells me sorry we cant do same but i can do 550 for 72 months i said no the most i can do is 500 even though i dont really need a new car but if you can get me the deal i wil do it , well anyway back and forth for an hour he says we can do it for 500 but it will be 75 months plus i had purchased a extended warranty on the crv and he said if you do that deal we will sent you the money back from the warranty which was like 1300 dollars ,well i said sorry i told you the most i can do is 72 months for the last time with 500 dollars a month or i,m walking out, he said wait let me see what i can do for you i said oki , few minutes later he comes and he said i got the 500 for 72 months we shook hands and i went to see Joe not sure of his last name but i had a bad experience with him when i bought the last 2 cars in november, very rude nasty guy not sure how they can do business with that guy but anyway i said to my self let me give the guy a chance and from my old experience i ask him in front of my friend that was present at the time i said Joe are you sure its 72 months 500 a month ? 3 times he look at me was really rude and he said yea yea so i signed the papers real quick something didnt simed right like he was rushing me but anyway got the paper work got the car and went home . when i got home i think to myself something is not right why he rushed me like that so i took the papers out and sure enough it says 75 months with 500 hundread a month, i call the honda right away and told them about it ,well it was saturday late so i think let me go in the first thing monday morning to get that straight, when i got there Joe wasnt there it was around 11 am so i went to see Pat not sure of his last name bu he was very rude and said to me shame on you for not reading the papers , i got mad and told them to have Joe call me when he gets there and i left, waited till 2 pm 4 pm called few times ask for Joe or Pat kept going to voicemail ,try o talk to Gilbert same thing like the whole place ignoring me , well if thats the way you guys do business tell customer one thing and do other things on the paperwork than this is a scam not right to do that ,never mind i wont get my 1300 hundread from the warranty but got screwed on 3 extra payments a month which is 1500 never mind i got only 26000 on my trade that cost me 31000 3 months ago and the car only had 1300 miles but i,m not complaining about that the thing is dont tell someone 72 months just to get the deal going and on the paperwork put diffrent thing in person, i sell cars for a living and i would never do costumer like that , i rather do the right thing in order to get him back , and they knew i told them i was going to come back to get 2 more cars one in april for my sister and one in may for doughter but from now on i dont want to buy shoes from that dealership if they rather get 3 months out of a person instead sell 2 more cars in 3 months period than let them do business likethat but they wont get any more business from me, tought i could trust them didnt know that i had to read everything perfect or i would get screwed if i dont,my point is if you cant do it just say it sorry cant do it for that amount dont just say yes and do diffrent thing thinking that mayby i wasnt going to look at the paper work when i get home so you can pull a fast one, i got so mad that i dont think i ever buy a honda again even from diffrent dealership.ps. I ARTUR SIKORA GOT EVERYTHING STRAIGHT WITH HONDA CITY SO PLEASE DONT SENT MY REPORT

I dont know where to star!!! Found this s2000 on their website (priced at 12.900) liked the car so i emailed them i believe it was Saturday afternoon and said that ill be there Monday to look at the car and test drive it..... As i said went there Monday (drove from Niles 45 minutes drive) looked at the car and wanted to test drive it, a guy named Oscar was helping me and told me that i can't test drive the car because i am not a qualified buyer and the insurance wouldn't cover me!!! ( a gentleman walked in right as i was looking at the car and said he was interested and the salesman asked him to give him a minute to get the keys) So i left and looked at other cars(different places).... 3 Days later i recieved a call from a lady named "jessica Rivera" sales manager and asked me if im still interested on the car, i explained to her what happened and she told me that what the salesman had told me was not true and if i give them an other chance they would help me out. So i did and maid an other appointment with an other sales manager "Johnathan Mendez" for the upcoming Monday.... Drove there again (an other 45 minutes drive) just to find out that Johnathan wasn't there but they told me that a new guy name "Ricky Perez" is going to help me out and take the car for a test drive... (Ricky is the only helpfull guy, great person and actually tried helping me) we took the car out testdrove it evrything looked good!! we went inside to find out that the car now costs 13,985 and they said that they had made a mistake on the previous price.... whatever i wanted the car told them that i wanna apply for a finance and so we did and i was told that with the co signer that i had i would be accepted!!! so i put a deposit on the car $500 cash!!! went home couples of hours later we send my co singers info and i was waiting for the morning after to tell me that i can go get my car!!! i recieved a txt and i was told that the co signer has great credit but not strong enough to carry me... and to give them couple more hours to work on it, so i did... txted them and they asked me if i could raise the downpayment so i did by an other 500$.... waited about two hours and then i got a txt saying that the bank came back with an answer(after the managers interaction with them )... and that they didnt need my co signer but they needed 3,500$ as downpayment!!! so i got mad and i said no.... now remember i still had the deposit there so the car should still be under "sale pending" So i went there this morning(an other 45 minute drive) with the money that they asked me to get the car but i was told that the car was sold!!! (never got a call or anything about it) then tried getting my 500$ cash deposit that i gave them and i was told that they dont have cash on them and they need to send me a check home and it will take about a week ( A Honda City dealer with over 200 cars for sale didnt have 500$ somewhere? seriously) So i went home with no car no cash after spending almost 100$ on gas getting there 3 times!!! Ricky is a new sales man there and was the only one helping me... if you go there ask for him but i dont recomended!! everyone else dont know how to do their jobs in there!!! i would never go back for no reason...

This was my 2nd time buying a used car from hondacity. The ony reason why i went back was because i thought i had to since i was still paying on my car note. If i knew i could trade my car in anywhere hondacity wouldnt have been on my list if it was the last car lot left on earth. sales made good on their word to pay my old car off and to have my brakes and rotors done at their expense but service made like they were doin their job but in the end were only givin me the the run around about what was actually wrong with my car. Ive been at the dealer so many times one would think i worked there. they sale cars knowing a crap load of things are wrong with them but never disclose any of the problems until you come in with complaints and at that point they are only disclosed one at a time until your car has issues again. i was hearing a noise and service automatically assumed it was my brakes since they knew they hadn't passed the inspection when i brought the car but no one actually test drove the car to hear the noise i was talkin about until weeks later. when they heard the talk of noise off the bat they kept stating the brakes and rotors would fix it so they did them and the noise was still there. i went back and they said it was from the entire front suspension being bad so i got that fixed with my warranty and was told my car would be checked to make sure nothing else is wrong. the noise was still there i went back and was told it was the back brakes so i got them done on my own and the noise was stiil there. i had my uncle look at it and he found it to be the axles or rear gear box. the noise was coming from the rear so i feel honda citys' so called certified mechanics should have used common sense and checked all the possibilities it could have been from the back instead of sending me on blank missions and guessing what the problem was instead of actually fully inspecting my car. i called them like i did everything and the noise is still there and service is like the best i can tell you is to go to the dealer because we dont know that much about your car. ifs thats the case they should have sent me to the dealer from the start. to top it off i dont konw what happened with the previous owners but i was cleaning my car and noticed the carpet on my passenger side is gone like a shaved cat and there's a hole somewhere because oil or something is soaking in my carpet? With my 1st car from them i went through the same exact thing but it was different sales reps and service people i dealt which. i got the car and it seemed fine but deep down i feel hondacity knew the cars' many issues but chose not to say anything, i too was there so many times i could have been working there. i dont think anything was fixed on that car since it was made because i put so much money into it out of my pocket rack and pinion, brakes front and back, rotors, wheel bearings, steering wheel column because it was discontinued and mnay more parts. i got a oil change and was given a new list of issues which is why i decided to trade it in stead of putting enough money into it to make the car brand new. its sad that a company that's supposed to be so big and trustworthy will brush under the rug the fact that they sold a crappy car with a gang of issues to a unsuspecting innocent person just to make a sale. if anything they should be trying to sale their cars in the best possible condition to ensure a good reputation and loyal customers. or at least lay in all on the table and let you know whats wrong with the car instead of you finding out once your car is broken down on the side of the road somewhere. when i got my paperwork i noticed the price was 2000dollars higher than what was originally stated so i asked and was told it was taxes or something come to find out it was for the warranty that i was told came with the car, they never said i had to pay 2000 dollars for a warranty i thought it was free they never asked me anything about it. when i called them out on it one of the reps was like well you sholud want a warranty, that wasnt the point they made like it was included but in the end its 2grand. i don feel they give off a freindly vibe and their customer service isnt all that great because they tend to their needs instead of yours. they kept trying to throw me in any car despite me telling them i didn't want the car s they were offering. instead of me being in a rush to get rid of my 1st car before it completely fell apart that i should have done enough investigating that way i would have learned i can trade it in any where and could have been in a way nicer newer car for about the same as the overpriced pieces of crap honda city sales.

My sales process was pretty good, but the after dealings are terrible. First problem day after taken home my 07 Odyssey. Entertainment system didn't work. Contacted the sales person (internet sales manager) after multiple phone calls, and emails he told me to call the entertainment system guy Christopher. Why should I call was my first thought but I did. Christopher after two calls called me back. He said this is a factory item, I'm an aftermarket guy what do you want me to do!!! I called the sales person back again no return call. Drove to the dealership, and explained my frustration, and JC took care of it. Problem #2 the a/c has never been up to par, I thought it was just because it was a van then yesterday with the a/c on foul burning smelling fumes came inside of the van. This morning I took the van in to service explained the situation, and after three hours they gave me a loaner and said it would be fixed tomorrow. I just got a call 10 hours later telling me this repair would be at my cost, and I said no this car was supposed to be certified according to the sales person who also showed me the carmax report. Service said I could talk to the used car manager Arsani. I called Arsani explained the situation, and told him this is unacceptable. I just purchased this van for $17,000. He said wait till your extended warranty kicks in, in 30days!!! He couldn't help me. I told him the a/c clutch didn't just ruin the compressor overnight. He again said wait till your extended warranty kicks in, I remember the a/c being cold when I was in it. I told him I will bring the van back, and leave with him. I called Honda to complain so we'll see where this gets me.

We bought a car back in April, 2012. They are very helpful, the salesman was very helpful he answered all of my needs, we ended up buying a 2012 Honda Civic LX for my son. We really recommend this place to anyone, don't believe the bad ratings that are being placed up here, these people probably are just upset for the fact that either they got stuck with a high car note or couldnt get approved for a car that they wanted. Just saying. CSL

I found a vehicle online that I was very interested in purchasing from out of state. After requesting a service history, the dealership sent me a report indicating that there was a problem with the electrical system. We inquired further and was told that the car was in perfect running order and there was not a problem with the electrical system. After asking more questions, another sales associate indicated that the check engine light was on which is what initiated the diagnostic. This is contrary to what we were told by the first person. We requested permission to speak with the company that performed the original diagnostic on the system and stated that the condition "Requires Immediate Attention." We were told we would be given this information by the end of the day or first thing the next morning.I sent an email to our primary contact indicating that we had been lied to about the car but were still interested and had not yet received the additional information we ware promised. An hour later, after not hearing back from our primary contact, I called and was told they had sold the car. I spent a substantial amount of time trying to sort through the assortment of miss information we were told, tried multiple times and multiple ways to close the deal and they sold the car without giving me the courtesy of a phone call. This entire process took place over less than 48 hours. They demonstrated a shocking lack of courtesy and professionalism and at least one of them lied about the condition of the vehicle.

very unprofessional how this company offers a quote for a car they promised me they had in stock and after driving for an hour exhausted after work to the location they did not have it. now I just wanted to add that we were ready to purchase with a preapproved loan including a trade off and a high down payment. I would hope they record their calls as I did get in contact with Christie who assured me the dealer had the car I was looking for in stock. I had to waste 3 hours of my day that I could have speeded with my family for this complete lie. Marco Lechuga

We were looking for a new 2012 Honda CR-V all over Chicago land, and the absolute best price was with this one. When we found a better price, they beat it! They also matched our banks interest so we financed right there with them. We are very pleased with the over all experience and happy to be enjoying our new car! Even though they didn't want to sell us the car for the price ( it was a steal!) they did, and did it with a smile. Recommend to family and friends

Went in without the intention of buying a car. But Jorge showed us a vehicle that was exactly what we needed and said they'd do whatever they could to make it work financially for us. We then spoke with Joe, their finance person, who was incredibly professional and helped us get our payments to where they needed to be for us to be comfortable. All in all, it was a great experience. Both men knew their job very well and left us feeling good about our choice. We would highly recommend this dealership.

This person answered all questions that I had. This was my 4th CR-V and they did not have the color I wanted and by the next day I got a call it was there. The most important thing about this person was he was not pushey, you made the decision to buy. I sent my friend Theresa K. to him and she also baught a new car. He is a good sales person.

Best price. Flew into Midway airport and was picked up by Anthony. 2 hours later I was on the road with a new 2012 EX Odyssey. I purchased rubber floor mats but I realized when I returned home (400 miles away) they were incorrect. Matt Milla had the correct mats sent to me via UPS. Significant savings with minimal hassle.

I had been searching for a dealership that would actually respect the buyer and not play any games. After visiting a dealer close to my home (Napleton where they would not even entertain a deal in pricing) I chose Honda City because Jessica who gave me a price on the internet, was very friendly and upfront on the price of the car I chose to purchase. When I arrived at Honda City I was welcomed by several friendly faces and Jessica introduced me to Travis who would be my sales representative. They had my car brought in for me to inspect and I was hooked although it did have more accessories than I needed or wanted. After discussion with Travis they were able to give me the price that I could live with as well as an exceptional trade in value for my older car. I was thrilled that I could actually take my car home that evening. I had not purchased a car for 14 years and had heard horror stories about car buying. I would whole-heartedly recommend Honda City for anyone who is looking for a car with a great price and no nonsense sales. It pays to shop around especially when you know what you want and will stick to it. Dealers who won't deal for the best price hopefully will lose sales to others who will. My Honda Civic EXL is now mine forever!

I had a wonderful sales lady named marina . She was awesome I gave her 5 stars. She not only found the car I wanted but was willing to bring out to where I live. Another very important factor was she did not try and change the price like many other dealers do. I would highly recommend this car dealer but especially this sales person.

I felt the salesman was very accomodating as wells as very informative on the questions I had with regards to the difference of a hybrid vs. conventional, Accord vs. Civic and ultimately making me feel that I made a good decision with the CR-V. I didn't feel rushed although it was the end of the day (night actually) and so he took his time with all my questions. I felt he was very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend him in fact I have already referred an associate at work to this particular dealer. I was particularly impressed by the General Manager who was also very accomodating to my questions and concerns about financing. This was a good decision, I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone, it was a good experience. thank you

JC was understanding of my situation and diligently persued a loan that will ultimately help me repair my credit. I really appreciated the personal effort he put in to make a purchase happen, he made it quick and easy. Jesus greeted me upon entering the dealership, he was helpful and informative.

Excellent customer service. Pete was with us the entire time (even when we brought in two kids!). He made sure he kept the process moving along as he knew we didn't have a lot of time. The pricing was very competitive and he gave us a fair trade in amount for our Toyota. Best of all, he helped us really decide which features weren't even necessary, saving us money. Pete was a genuine, honest guy who I would recommend to anyone buying a car.

Hello,I normally would not take the time to leave this review, but I stumbled across this website while killing time at work, read a couple of anonymous negative reviews, and I had such a great experiemce at Honda City, that I decided to leave them some positive feedback.Number one, one of the ladies that complained clearly went there with preconceived notion about car dealers(and understandably so), but she had no valid complaints against Honda City at all. If she was that unhappy why did she buy the car? I'll tell you why. She got the best price. I feel very comfortable making that statement because I traveled 125 miles each way to buy my Odyssey and Accord there, because they made the best deal and gave me a very fair trade-in value for my two trades. The other person that complained used the words "bait and switch" several times in her complaint, but described no such thing. If you have any clue about whats going on in the world, you know that these guys aren't getting their regular supply of cars, and the demand for that new Odyssey is high. I know this because I wanted a specific EXL Odyssey with the DVD package, and there were literally only 3 available in 5 states. Still, they went and got the vehicle for me, and gave me the same outstanding price.. I would be careful using harsh and borderline libelous words like bait and switch. The internet is written in ink, not pencil, and you cannot legally tell lies on a site like this, especially without having the courage to put your name to it. That makes you either a coward, a liar, or both in my opinion. Anyway, my experience at Honda City was really great. Matt Milla, the General Manager spoke to me initially, and took care of the pricing and made me feel very comfortable. The next day Chad, the guy who handles getting cars from other dealerships called me and said that i could pick up the Odyssey on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., which I did. The sales guy Pete(his nickname is Moose, although I couldn't figure out why) showed us all of the features on the Odyssey, we did our paperwork, and we were on our way home by 10:30.I was so satisfied that I purchased an Accord LX for my daughter less than a month later.I would suggest going right to Matt the GM or Chad or Pete the other managers. They also knew all about finance so there was no up and down and running back and forth.Highest possibe reccomendation.

It is the ABSOLUTELY WORST dealership I have EVER SEEN. I took my wife's car to get the camber adjusted. The service adviser Juan Aviles "interrogated" me why I visited there and on what ground I think my car need camber adjustment. Well, even he was not nice but at least he asked thoroughly, right? I presented their coupon and sign the paperwork. One hour later, he came back and asked me to make payment. Once I paid $80 by credit card he gave me the alignment report clearly showing the camber NEVER BEEN ADJUSTED!!! I immediately complained to his service manager and 2 weeks later someone claim to be the service manager "Ali" called me upon my complaint. "Ali" said it was Juan's fault that he didn't inform me that they cannot adjust camber but he refused to take any action to reimburse my loss. Even more, "Ali" said "it is not making any business sense by telling customer that there are things THEY CANNOT DO" before they charge it. JUST STAY AWAY this dealership, they are not afraid of Best Business Bureau, City of Chicago nor your credit card company. Because they just don't reply any of investigation from any of those. Learn some from my lesson, IF YOU GO THERE YOU WILL BE THE NEXT VICTIM. I am looking for lawyer taking class action against these outrageous scams, if you know someone are doing it or you are interested in doing it, please reply my comment. I have documented all the evidence and if you want to take your chance with this dealer, I advise you do the same.

BAIT AND SWITCH! I priced a new Odyssey through amex/zag and this dealership came up with the lowest price. The other two dealerships emailed me almost immediately but I did not receive the initial email from Jackie until a few days later. Nonetheless, she confirmed that they would honor that price and was very patient with my back and forth questions. She said they only had one in stock but since it was not in my preferred color she said they had one coming in in the color I wanted and that if I wanted that car I should come in and put down a $500 deposit since most of the odysseys were being pre-sold. She said they would honor the zag price even though the car wasn't in stock, which I thought was great since zag only guarantees the price if the vehicle is in stock. This is where the fun and games begin. In the meantime I called a few other dealers to see if they would match the price from Honda City on a car that was actually in stock and I did get a pretty good quote on my second choice color from another dealer - it was $400 more than Honda City's but Honda City quoted much higher prices on the options I wanted so it worked out to be almost the same (beware this little trick). The sales person at that dealer told me that the quote Honda City gave me was very low and that what they would do is tell me to come in and put down a deposit on a car that I would be waiting for forever or try to sell me a different car that they actually had in stock. He looked in the system and said he didn't see the car I wanted in stock or in production in the system for Honda City but that it was possible it was on order but not produced yet in which case he couldn't see it. OK, that concerned me a little bit because they HAD asked me to come in and put down a deposit on a car that wasn't in stock, but Jackie seemed pretty honest and hey, this guy's a salesperson too who wants to sell me a car sitting in his lot so I'll take that with a grain of salt. So I drove down to Honda City and met with Pete, who immediately tried to sell me a car he had in stock in the color I wanted but a different trim level than what I wanted. No, thanks, that's not what I wanted. OK, well, maybe I would want a different trim level of the odyssey which is coming in soon. No, thanks, that's not what I want. So then he starts talking about putting down a deposit on the car I want but it hasn't been built yet so he can't tell me when it will come in. I ask to see evidence that the car actually is on order and he tells me he'll be back. So eventually he does come back with a paper that shows they do have the car on order - but it's a 2012 so that's going to be a different price. But Jackie had told me they would honor the zag price on the car I wanted?? At this point I am mentally done with this transaction because I figure I am about to get scammed one way or another. He says they will honor the zag price but there's no point in my putting down a deposit today because he can't sell me the car until he has a VIN number and unless I come in and pay in full up front once he has a vin number for the car they could sell the car to someone else anyway if they were to offer him msrp for the car. I have no doubt that they would offer to sell me the car at the zag price that is in effect on the 2012's when it's available which will likely be much higher than what they quoted me on the 2011. But I will never know because I will not be back and will actually warn others (like you) to STAY AWAY from this place. Honda should not allow this dealer to carry it's name because it really tarnishes their image. What did I do? Went home, emailed a bunch of dealers in the area, and ended up with the exact car I wanted for $500 more in the brand new 2012 version from Honda of Lisle with no haggling, no BS, no games - well worth a little extra money as far as I'm concerned.

As a customer who has done his research, I know what I want, what I should be looking for, what I should keep in mind, and nothing else; especially a dealer full of scams, or more specifically, a salesman full of scams. I was looking for a pre-owned Accord coupe, and found the "seemingly" right one on Honda's Certified Pre-owned website, and that car happens to be in Honda City Chicago's lot. I wrote them an email for a test drive, received an automated email telling me that the car I'm looking is still in the lot, and they're looking forward to see me there. Of course, what else would a dealer say? So, one afternoon, I drove 45 mins to their location for a test drive. When I got there, Eddy was the one who greeted me. After I stated my purpose, he started telling me that he is not used to working in the used department, he was sent here because his manager told him to, or someone in the used department is absent so he's a substitute. I didn't really pay attention to his statements because I sensed it's a prelude to an upcoming scam. Does it matter what he claims? What salesman would tell a customer that he is not the man for the job? Nonetheless, I want to find out what they have to offer, so I followed to his office. I wasted no time telling him the specific car I was looking for, and asked for the test drive. After all, that was all I went there for. Eddy "seemingly" was busy checking his email for the email I wrote to the dealer, busy walking around asking for the car I was looking for, and busy looking in their inventory for the car. He was in and out of the office, mostly out, talking to his fellow salesmen and mechanics. After an hour of sitting in his office, with Eddy leaving me alone and walking around, with me NOT TEST DRIVING, he came back to me and told me that the car I was looking for was sold like 500 cars ago. Wait... WHAT??!! It took you an hour to do that?? One hour? Does my time mean nothing to you?? Don't you renew any online information? After trading my time for a disappointing piece of news, Eddy asked me to go to the lot with him and told me that he has "a lot to offer" Okay I went with him, not because I was in the mood to window shop for a car, it's merely because I want to see if there are any potentially missed good deals that I might have missed while looking online. While walking in the lot, I told him my price range, and I told him specifically, "I'm only looking for coupes, Accord coupes. Civic coupes? Eh, maybe." And the following 30 minutes was the only 30 minutes I felt Eddy was being a competent salesman. Did he find the one car I was looking for? NO. Was he zealous about finding any irrelevant deals to make with me? ABSOLUTELY YES. He showed me two Accord sedans (not coupes), one BMW coupe (hey, I was looking for Hondas), and one Accord coupe that was way over my price range. Did his behavior help? I know I don't have to answer this for you. I left right after the also disappointing lot-walking, and I know that I will NEVER go back again. They are not the only Honda dealer in the world. If you can afford to lose a potential customer, then as a potential customer, I felt very fortunate that I got away with many more potential disappointments that I would get from Honda City. If you are a customer who has a mind set on a specific car, I STRONGLY advise you to double-check if the car you're looking for is actually in the lot before you head out for a test drive. Unless you like the feeling of being lured over and got nothing you're looking for. And when you get there, stick with your criteria and don't stray off. Be solid about what you're looking for.I do not recommend this dealer to anyone else, and I do not wish to go back there again. I felt deceived, getting cheated on, and disrespected. All those 1 points are from the bottom of my heart. If there are any lower ratings, I would definitely go as low as I can.

To put it very simply, I called the dealer to ask for their best price on a specific new vehicle I was looking to buy. They gave me the second best price out of 13 dealers I contacted that day. The best price was from a dealer that wouldn't have the car on the lot for another week, so I chose to go to Honda City. Before I left my house, the salesperson emailed me an exact breakdown of the price, including the out the door price. I told him I would be printing out the email and bringing it with me, which I did. When I arrived, I inspected the car and drove it. It was perfect, with just 6 miles on the odometer. When we sat down at the desk, he presented me a price which was hundreds of dollars more then our agreed upon price. I held up the paper with the price he showed me and he said he was looking at an old price sheet and he was so sorry for his mistake. I reminded him that we actually spoke three times on the phone and he confirmed the price each time. I stood up to leave and the manager chimed in that I was crazy if I thought they would sell me a car for that price. I said, "Don't you honor the price your salesman gave me in writing?" and he actually said, "Absolutely not." He then taunted me as I left, "If you can get a dealer to sell you a car for that price, good luck to you." Five hours later, Schaumburg Honda sold me the same exact car for the same exact price I was quoted by Honda City. Originally, Schaumburg Honda was $100 more, but I told him I had just been lied to by Honda City and that if he gave me the same price, I'd come buy the car now. (They were the next closest on price of the dealers who had the car on the lot.) I had my new car that night. I would never trust Honda City again.

I wanted to be really mean in my review at first, but later I realized that it is not about how much I hate Honda City but it is about helping you guys to avoid these criminals. I bought my car from the used cars department but later I had a horrible experience to deal with Matt Milla the general manager who turned out to be the biggest liar of all. So with such general manager you can imagine how the new cars department is also doing. There is my story:I bought my Honda Crv 2007 this April (for almost $ 20 000). Yeah, it happened to me exactly what everybody else is saying. The car that I saw online was marked as certified but it actually wasnt and also the price online was with $ 850 less than the actual price and nobody tells you that till you almost sign the papers. But thats just the beginning. So after the test drive I took a really nice look at the car inside and outside and then I noticed that the front left light and the left side of the front bumper were loose. I was ready to walk away but Liz D. (my salesman who was extremely incompetent) stopped me and told me that they can fix this before we even finish with the paperwork. Now is the moment to say that I was looking for this exact color and features in the car for long time and that was the first car that had everything I wanted. And because the loose light and bumper didnt seem so big problem I decided to buy it. It took us around couple hours to finish all the paperwork and in this moment they were fixing the car. When everything was done and I went to take the car I noticed that the light and bumper are still the same loose. When I asked Liz what is going on she didnt know of course (although she went to see how they are fixing the car when I was finishing the papers with Pat Dazzo). In that moment the manager of the used cars Jesus Roman (known as Jessy) showed up and told me that they need some plastic pins to secure the light and the bumper it will take no more than couple hours, but they cant make it now because they didnt have those pins. So he suggested to come after few days to fix it and if they cant fix it in the same day he will give me another car to drive until they fix mine. Well everything sounded pretty good so far. I was calm because we even put it on a paper that says that they own me to fix that light and bumper. Im really busy during the week, so I brought the car next Saturday. It is a really long story here cause I spend 2 hours there and J. Roman and the service manager Sanny were playing with me like a fool sending me to speak with the one and then with the other one and then back and forth and then they just sent me home telling me that they are really busy now and to come next week. It took me 5 hour all together with the driving that day for absolutely nothing. These people were rude and didnt care about me at all. They were talking Spanish on the phone to each other when I was there, so I didnt understand how there are planning to trick me. So I came back after a week and left the car for repair. They didnt give me another car!!! What they did is they lied to me that the car will be done in couple days. At this moment I was already angry on these people playing me around but wanted the car to be done so I decided I could wait couple more days. It took 3 weeks, thats right, 21 days for those liars to finish my car. Every time when I called they told me different story. After the first week they told me that the car is ready and have to dry because they painted the bumper. I was just ready to go and take it when they told me that actually the car is not ready because they are waiting for some parts. Jessy Roman was in control of everything. Whatever lie they told me, they got it from him, because he was the only one that knew what is happening with my car. And I couldnt talk with him because every time he was with a customer or out of the office!?!?!?!?! Just great management!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111However at the end of the third week I went to take my car. Liz D said that it is ready and looks beautiful. So you can imagine how devastated I was when I saw the car and nothing, absolutely nothing was done. The light was the same loose, the bumper was the same loose, nothing was painted and there was not even one new part installed. I was so so so mad. The explanation of Jessy Roman was The car was in the body shop, it is not going back there. Have a good day. He didnt care that I had a paper where it says that they own to fix my car. I wanted to talk with the general manager Matt Milla that day but he was gone already. Next week I tried to speak with him on the phone, but he never picked up. So I went there again, found him in the office and finally talked with him. He saw that the car was not repaired and told me to take it to any body shop to fix it and he will pay the bill. I showed him an estimate for around $ 1000 that I took from other Honda dealer just few days ago. He said OK, take it there to fix it and Ill pay. I took the car and the guys fixed it for one day. The guys from the body shop and I were trying to call Matt Milla one whole week. This guy just disappeared like a ghost. I had to pay the car myself because this was the only way to take it from the shop and I went directly to Honda City. When I got there I found Matt Mill sitting and doing nothing. So it is not that he is so busy, he just didnt want to answer the phone. He was rude and after little talk he said that he heard all my messages and that he wrote the check and sent it yesterday. I knew that was bullshit and there was no check, but when I asked him to write me another one so I can take it with me now, he said that the person that writes the checks is not there, but not to worry because the first check should come today or tomorrow. I absolutely knew that this guy is playing me. That day I realized that this Honda dealership is nothing but scam and criminals. You probably already know that today, a month after everything, Im still waiting for that check, because there was no check at first place. You can see that Honda City is just a bunch of criminals that want to take your money and after that they treat you like a trash. They dont care about their own promises and lie to your face. These people have to be out of this business. They destroy the good name of Honda. We all customers work too hard for our money and none of us deserve to be treated and played the way they did to me. Ill never do business with these people again and I suggest you stay away from them too!!!!!I didnt give up. Nobody cheated on me so bad till now, so Ill keep fighting until they get what they deserve. Ive read some of you guys were in a similar situation and the owners of the Honda City helped you. So my next step is to try to talk with these guys. If this go wrong Im all prepared for the court. I have all the papers, pictures and other evidence to prove that this dealership is nothing but professional criminals.

I would describe it as a casebook example of BAIT and SWITCH. I cannot speak to the new car experience. But the used car experience was very unpleasant. First prior to driving 1 hr (each way) to the dealer because of the advertised great price on the kind of car we were wanting to buy we called to get confirmation that it was still in stock, only to find out once we arrived at the dealer that they had sold it yesterday (at least that is what they claimed). The main issue was the BAIT and SWITCH that the dealer tried pulling. They advertised some real great price online, then add another $830 in fees to all online prices... So a vehicle that was shown as $14,970 online is actually $15,800. And finally online the dealer lists that the vehicle is certified, which in Honda used car terms is their warranty and assurance that the car is in great shape. When we asked the dealer about if it was a Honda Certified used car, they informed us that they would charge $1800 to have it certified. This is something that is already included in the price at other dealers (whose vehicles are similarly priced). Even if after adding all these add on charges the price is still good for the car I would not want to buy from them, thinking what else are they lying to me about.

I spoke with two different people there and they told me that did not have the car that I wanted, but they both took my cel phone and told me they would call me when it arrived.I called again on a Saturday, to double check and they said it was not there. When I went in on Monday to verify, they told me that they sold the car on Saturday! The exact model and color that I have been looking for all over the city :( I also asked them if the Memorial Day weekend sale [ 0.9 APR] would end on Monday or Tuesday. They told me it ended on Monday :(However, when I started researching and calling other Honda dealerships in Illinois, they said the Honda 0.9 APR ended on Tuesday 05.31.11 not 05.30.11 like Honda CIty had told me. I later test drove the car and sat down discuss pricing. I was given inaccurate information about the car [they stated that the Honda made Insight Hybrid and Non-Hybrid] and that the 0.9 APR did not apply to the Insight [which according to every other Illinois dealer I spoke with= It did!]I feel like they should have better customer service and get their facts straight before they provide misleading information. Also, they did not want to let down on MSRP! Save yourself the headache, and visit another Honda Dealer with better reviews. This Honda group tried every car salesman trick in the book when I sat down to negotiate

I would recommend this dealership even after we initially experienced miscommunication on both sides of the aisle. They were very quick to respond to my concerns and craft a resolution that we all felt satisfied with. James Wheeler was apologetic and offered to assist me in making things right and the Marketing Director, Monica Medrano was prompt and advocated on my behalf. The owners - Bob and Anthony Locquerico -were also incredible and offered to repair the vehicle and detail it (and were also quite an entertaining but savvy pair.)I would definitely do business with Honda City on Pulaski again. I love my Volvo and am thrilled that -All's Well That Ends Well! Thanks Honda City!

I bought a new Honda from Roosevelt a few weeks ago and noticed a scratch on the passenger door the next day. I called and spoke with the facilitator woman about it -- she promised they would get it taken care of. Couple days later, Roosevelt called me and I explained the situation, so I had an appointment made the next day to get the scratch fixed. Aamer and everybody in service was real nice and did a great job -- you cant even tell there was a scratch.

Horrible Service....I will not be going there again even if they were giving the cars away for free. I went there to look at a 2007 Accord they had listed online for 13K. I asked if that was the best price and they said it was. They offered to certify the car for additional $850. I later found out that they had an exact same car, same mileage, same year, listed CERTIFIED for 13400. They were trying to charge me 13850 for the other one. I also just looked on their website and the first accord i looked at is now listed for 13K CERTIFIED. They were trying to pull a fast one on me. Internet manager Chad was very rude on the phone when i told him about it as well. He tried to convince me that they were actually losing money on the car.....pleasseeeeeee!

This was the first dealer I went to looking for a new car and after visiting 3 other dealers I came back to Honda City. My experience was great the first time and the last time. Some dealers have quite a song and dance...they promise everything but when you get to the bottom line they deliver nothing. Not so here. At my first visit I was given all the info I needed and was never pressured to close a deal. As I left I was politely asked to bring my car in for an appraisal when and if I am ready to buy. Five days later I returned for an appraisal after having the car appraised elsewhere first. I was given a fair price for my old car, a $1000 rebate, 0.9% financing and the best price around for the new car. It was the best experience I ever had purchasing a new vehicle. Both the sales person and a finance director are tops!! I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a Honda.....great car.....great dealership!!

American Honda Financial, Elgin, IL, financing was the key factor. Honda products are excellent. I bought Honda in the past, and was surprised by the exceeded expectations. Original Vehicle I purchased in 1991, new, still in service today, Honda Acord LX; I marked it, and occasionally see it. Memories through thick and thin, time lines not forgotten. I recently purchased 2011 Honda Civic LX out of necessity. Another time line, and life rolls on.

I went into Honda to have my "check engine" light looked at. The people there were very professional and courteous. All my questions were answered without me feeling rushed. They got me in and out as fast as possible. I would definitely use their services again and recommend them.

I was contacted by phone from Liz after posting an inquiry on Consumer Reports.com. She assured me that the car I wanted was there and that they were ready to deal. I had other dealers to try that were much closer, so I told her to keep in touch. Liz stayed in touch without being pushy, leaving 2 messages in a week while I shopped around the suburbs. I received a very low price quote from one dealer who was also pretty far from me, and another suburban dealer could not meet my trade-in offer, so I called Liz, told her about the price quote and trade-in issue. She assured me that Honda City would meet my terms. I was there by 7pm that evening and my salesman was Jose. There was nothing that Jose could have done better. He was courteous, professional, reasonable and patient. Everything Liz promised was done for me by Jose. I got an incredibly good deal. The trade-in, the loan terms, every detail, done. I drove away in my new Accord in 2 hours. Many thanks to Liz and Jose. Kevin

I connected with Honda City through the AAA TrueCar service. Immediately after sending email through TrueCar asking for a quote I got a phone call and email back from Liz Braun, confirming the excellent price quoted on TrueCar. In my first conversation with her I asked for and received a breakdown of all costs and fees so I could figure my "out the door" price. Another dealer through TrueCar gave me an even better price but was not as responsive as Liz had been. When I emailed to ask if Honda City would match that price Liz was not in that day, but Pete Mattison immediately responded and they matched the price. When we went in to make the purchase with Pete there were no surprises and no pressure. The process was smooth and as painless as possible. The only glitch that occurred was that when driving the car home one of the service indicator lights came on. Apparently someone in the service department didn't initialize the tire pressure monitoring system correctly (this accounts for the "OK" in my Quality of Work rating). This cost me an hour at our local dealership the next Monday to get it fixed, but our satisfaction with the price and Liz and Pete's straightforward, low-pressure approach made up for that inconvenience.

I emailed this young lady about a Honda Pilot they had in their inventory. She was very polite and thorough -- and answered all of my questions. When I came into the dealership another salesperson took care of me and worked out the deal with my trade-in so that I could drive away that day. The wife and kids love this thing!

I am so pleased to write a review of Honda City. My experience there was so refreshing after a few seriously negative experiences at other dealers during my car I had received an internet quote for a new 2010 Honda Fit and communicated with Peter and Liz over email to make sure the car was in stock, that the price quoted would be the price when I arrived and the car would have no additional options installed that I would have to pay for (that bait and switch happened to me at another dealer the night before). To say I was VERY skeptical would be an understatement. When I arrived Peter greeted me and then introduced me to Tony Gomez. Tony again assured me the price quote I had would be honored and assured me (repeatedly) there would be no surprises. The whole process was simple and there really were NO surprises. The Business Manager, Patrick, was quick to complete the paperwork while answering all my questions. On top of that, I left without taking my Owner's Manual. Tony called and had me pull over in a parking lot so he could bring it to me! And he called me the next day to make sure everything with my new car was just right.I highly recommend Honda City and Tony Gomez for a relaxed, no bait-and-switch car buying experience.

I bought 2011 Honda Odyssey from these guys. Started with an over the phone quote and negotiations. We settled on a price over the phone. They asked for a deposit for the van they had that matched our requirements. I had never put a deposit down on a car before, so I did not. This particular van sold before we could make it the store. They called to advise me that van I wanted was selling. They offered to find me another one, so I gave them 1k deposit. I went in to the store for an hour for them to appraise my trade. They provided me a great price for the trade (topped CarMax). Four (4) days later they delivered the van to my home (8miles away) and took my trade with them. What could be better? Great Job! The price negotiated over the phone was the price I paid.

Chad, Matt, and Tommy made my new car purchase of a 2011 Honda Accord a memorable and very easy process! They have each called after my purchase was made to see how I was enjoying my new Accord. Any questions or concerns that I had during my visit, they answered right away! I will never buy another car from anyone else. Thank you to these 3 men and to Honda City for changing my view of car buying into an extremly positive one!

I first chose to work with this dealership primarily based on price, but then after the first conversation with someone there I knew that I was going to have great service. They were extremely personal and made me feel as if my needs were personally important to them. They were determined to get me the vehicle that I desired. When an issue arouse they handled it quickly and in a way that benefited me the customer. They answered every question and met every desire I had in purchasing this vehicle. I will definitely recommend this dealership in the future.

I received an internet quote for a new 2011 Odyssey from a lady named Liz. When I arived she wasn't available, so the management directed me to Tommy Simpson. He did a great job showning my wife the car, and the dealership honored their extremely competitive price. Our paperwork was done within a half-hour.I've had several bad car dealeship experiences, so this was a really pleasant surprise.I had a small issue with the Odyssey a few days later, and they took care ofit right away.I am a Chicago Police officer, and the General Manager Matthew Milla made sure to work closely with my wife and I and made sure that we were happy. He told me that theu offer special pricing and services for the Chicago Police as well as school teachers and all military people. It was nice to hear that they have respect for people in uniform and our kids teachers(who we all know are underpaid).I will recommend these guys to anyone that I know who is looking for a car, and by the way the all new Odyssey is by far the nicest van of the many competitors that we drove.

I was searching online for the best deals on a new 2010 Honda Accord. Honda City Chicago informed me that they would have the best price and if I were to find a better deal elsewhere to bring in a written estimate and they would beat it. Walking into the location I was immediately greeted and taken care of. I was given exact amounts and the total estimate and I was very satisfied. The same day, I signed all the papers and walked out with my brand new car which I am very happy that I purchased.

Hello ,I regret to infrom you that I had the worst experience ever with your dealer repair shop. I brought my car for repair and left it with Leo. i change my clutch on 5speed mt. and then the engine was not working proparly imean the rpm are uneven and also when i acceleret the gas pedal some times somting stops the engine at 4rpm or gos all the way . next problem engine stops specialy when i get out from the hwy engyne stops becose the RPM are too low . the machanic explaine because i got some sensor problems or the main computer need uograde. he can't check the computer cose its not honda dealer.and they can only upgrade it. whitdout chenging. As a result, my car is not running smoothly, my engine stops, my speeding meter is off, and the check engine light is on.I brought my car to an independent dealer, after I brought it back to Leo and he kept it on site for 7 days lying to me the problem was fixed, for a check up.This problem needs to be resoleved immediatelly, otherwise I will look for a different resolution. A complaint has been filed with the Better customer bearou and I will need to contact my lawyer if an action is not taken from you ASAP.My ph number is 773 319 4687. My name is Kristyan Dragomirov.

After searching all over for an used Honda Civic. I found one that "just" came in on trade according to WINDY CITY HONDA". I was reluctant to buy a city car from a city dealer, but after being assured that the car was one owner with low miles, plus passed a 150 pt. inspection. I purchased the vvehicle from Gonzo. On the drive home the check engine light came on and remained on. Windy City claimed that it was just a faulty sensor. After two return visits, Windy City advised that I needed a new transmission!!!!!! The car has 60,000miles. Honda has been of no help. One rep. stated that the car is an old car what do you expect. I will continue to fight this matter. Shouldn't Honda assist me? I contacted them on the first day that I bought the car from one of their dealers!! Shouldn't the dealer be responsible from selling a bad car? I could have gone to a lot and found a car with transmission problems. I will buy a Toyota next.NEVER, NEVER BUY FROM WINDY CITY HONDA. THEIR TACTICS ARE CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
