We baught a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland loaded with low miles in May of this year. During our test drive we noticed a break shudder during heavy breaking. The dealership noted the problem and promised to repair at a later date. We got busy with life and let the problem go for a few months. We then went to a trip to the mountains and the breaking vibration was really bad. Took the jeep to Newport New location and they found the rotors were warped. Just when we were afraid of the large repair bill, Ralph from Richmond stepped up and said Hyman Brothers would honor the original sales agreement and cover the repairs. We have liked Hyman Brothers from day one and will continue to refer our friends to them. This is how you get customers for life. Thanks.

Phillip was very helpful throughout the process. Got to the dealership before lunch. There were three vehicles that we were interested in and they pulled all of them out at once for us to look at and compare. While looking at all three, narrowed it down to two. Drove one of them that morning. Left to look at other options. Came back and drove the other one. Ended up really liking it and closing the deal by 6:00 that evening. John in financing was great and we got what we wanted with a great rate. We did not feel any pressure during the process and Phillip hung in there with us all day. Cant say enough good about them.

I live a simple, honest life, and now I have a car that will reliably get me to work and back.They also have the most gorgeous luxury vehicles I have ever seen, the equivalent of an art gallery. Let me set the stage, I buy a decent car every 2-3 years and I've done this car shop/purchase many many times and these guys, well frankly they suck.... OK if you would like details, I went to look at car A the other day and was quite interested but car B grabbed my attention. I inquired about it and was pushed back toward my original car A. Well i decided to think on it, it was a big choice, and the next day I called and asked about looking at car B. I was then told that they 'don't drive showroom cars' (*which shouldn't be a shock as the older Rich/Rick salesman spent my test drive telling me how badly I was driving,... over and over... he kept harping on some fantastic class they went to and now he's an expert racing driver. Congrats... next time don't insult the person attempting TO GIVE YOU MONEY... anyway I ignored that nonsense as I saw a couple cars I might be into at the dealership.I called back and asked to see one of the B cars, they had 2, and I was told ...'Why don't you give us a call when you make up your mind and are ready to buy something?'yes that's a quote from Rich/Rick,. and when I informed the mgr of his obviously errant behavior? well the mgr did say he'd get me another sales person to work with and apologized for the nonsense and he also clarified that they'd test drive anything they owned.Ok good enough eh? nope.... then i get a voicemail from the first salesman in this awful time stating how his mgr told him to invite me back out. Seriously? You insult my driving, insult the fact I want to shop around before dropping $50k, and then you have the nerve to put the same jerk on my account? Needless to say i didn't buy there, and gladly...I bought one at VIP Auto sales in Manassas, great friendly folks AND I was in and out in under twenty minutes... honest, there's no BS there ... as opposed to here....and a note to the MGR and Rich/Rick ... " when somebody wants to look around at cars, LET THEM, that's how a person determines the pros and cons of each and then can make a decision. Do NOT insult or belittle your customers, it's just rude... I drove the e class conv and then asked about the SL550, remember? yea I bought a black one with a very similar spec... could have been your red and tan one i have now.... I'll be sure to tell everyone I meet that askes about the car where NOT to go car shopping... at Hyman where the customer is an annoyance...

Looked all over for a Corvette and decided that I would visit two places. One dealership was in N.C. and Hyman Bros in Richmond. On my way to N.C. I decided to stop by Hyman just for kicks and met a salesman named QC (actual name is difficult to pronounce, let alone spell) who welcomed me and accommodated me on a test drive. No pressure to sell, he knew the car inside and out and his conversation was cordial. Needless to say, I drove away with 50K plus vehicle in less time than it took to test drive it. Thanks QC. I highly recommend Hyman Bros, they have some really nice vehicles. Referrals headed your way Hyman. Thanks again!

My husband and I were looking for a specific vehicle. Phillip was extremely helpful. He walked us through trying to buy a vehicle that was bought up fast in our area. We were coming from Maryland (with our two little kids) and it was going to take over 2 hours to get to this dealership, but thankfully, Phillip put a courtesy "hold" on the vehicle so that it couldn't be bought out before we arrived. Thank goodness! It was a long trip, especially with a 2 year old and a 6 month old, but they were very kind, offered us all water, and enjoyed watching the oldest run around and stretch his legs. The paperwork was done up fast and we were done buying the vehicle within an hour. Thank you again! Great staff! Would definitely recommend.

After driving all over Richmond test driving cars, dealing with fake numbers and high-pressure salesmen, we pulled into Hyman Brothers. Phillip Acree was awesome -- he really knew a lot about the car, and there was no high pressure at all. And "the price was the price" -- which was SO reasonable. Financing was super-streamlined. From the moment we contacted Hyman Bros. and spoke with Phillip Acree I knew this was going to be a good experience. Phillip took his time explaining the features of the car I had called about. He made sure that my test drive was a good experience by not pressuring me. It took me about 3 hours after the test drive to decide that this was the car I wanted. Once again, Hyman Bros. has the best previously owned cars in the Richmond market. I'll be back.

I rated Hyman Brothers with 5 stars. My sales rep was Phillip Acree and he did everything that I asked him to do. If buying a car from them I recommend talking to Phillip. The vehicle that I purchased looked flawless. There were a few minor things that I wanted fixed and Phillip took care of them for me right away. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

I recently purchased a Buick Enclave from Rick Bradley. He had the car I was interested in pulled up and freshly washed when I arrived. His knowledge of Buick is unprecedented. I've been researching the Enclave for years, and still he taught me dozens of things about the vehicle. I also liked that our test drive wasn't just a trip around the block. Rick took me on the interstate and on back roads to demonstrate how the car drives in different situations. He explained the engine, transmission, and magnetic drive. There's nothing he doesn't know about Buick! Plus, he is a really nice guy who isn't all "salesman" with slick comebacks. He is a straight shooter and I really enjoyed working with him. The finance manager was also really easy to work with, as was GQ. I had a really nice experience at this dealership and would go back again to purchase another car.

I purchased my mini cooper from Hyman Brothers located at 8066 W. Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia, 23294, in August 2015. The most important item that convinced me to purchase the mini cooper from Hyman Brothers was that I would be provided with a loaner car when the mini cooper went in for regular routine service and maintenance so that I would have a stress free way to get home and return back to Hyman Brothers. I was promised that this would happen for the duration of my ownership of the mini cooper. As a single senior citizen female, the loaner car was the key factor in me purchasing the mini cooper, without in I would have NEVER purchased the mini cooper from Hyman Brothers.Throughout the test drive and the purchase process, I was continually reminded that I should bring the mini cooper back to Hyman Brothers for regular routine service and maintenance as Hyman Brothers was better trained and cheaper than the Mini Cooper Dealership. I felt secure when I purchased the mini cooper because I could bring it back to Hyman Brothers for all regular routine service and maintenance.When I made my last appointment with Hyman Brothers on Sept. 2016, to have the oil changed on my mini cooper, I informed the service department that there were also a couple additional items that needed looked at and repaired. Around 10,000 miles the passenger seat belt stopped re-tracking. Imagine my shock when I was informed that I had to take my mini cooper to the Mini Cooper Dealership to have these items looked at and repaired. I was also informed that most of the maintenance on the mini cooper needed to be performed at the Mini Cooper Dealership. Again, I was told at the time I purchased the mini cooper that I could have all regular routine service and maintenance done at Hyman Brothers. I later learned that it also seems that even oil changes are an issue. The last oil change on my mini cooper took over an hour because the service technician could not figure out how to turn off the change oil light.I would have NEVER purchased my mini cooper from Hyman Brothers if I knew my mini cooper had to be serviced and the maintenance had to be performed by the Mini Cooper Dealership. I feel like the salesperson had this single senior citizen female for lunch when he promised me a loaner car for the lifetime of my ownership of the mini cooper that I purchased from Hyman Brothers.For these reasons, I feel like I was taken advantage of as a single female and a senior citizen at that. Also, I feel like I was a victim of false and deceptive advertising. We gladly service all makes and models makes and models at affordable Prices. You also advertise Factory Trained Technicians.

I located this particular dealership through an online search for the type of car desired. I was attracted to the car because of its low mileage, plus it was the make/model of vehicle desired. The service I received was very good and very quick attention to offering assistance. The sales agent was very informed about the car's specs and features; he offered a generous test drive and in no hurry, enabling me to assess the car's response, comfort and interior quiet. The dealership offers "no haggle pricing" so since there was no negotiation on the price, and after deciding to buy, the entire closing transaction took about an hour to complete and was hassle free and without any problems. I returned later in the afternoon to pickup a clean, attractive car and have enjoyed the vehicle ever since.

Rick Bradley was a real pleasure to work with, a true old school car salesman who was charming, folksy, and fair...a real gentleman. I have purchase or leased over thirty (really) cars in my lifetime and this was the best experience I have ever had. Rick attended to our every need with prompt, honest responses. Go see him. Larry Bracy in finance was a dream to work with. He got us a great (really great) rate and got us out the door in less than an hour-really appreciated that. No hassle. No pressure. Just great service and a great selection of vehicles at fair prices. We were looking to purchase a family SUV, but had not decided on the make or model we wanted. Hyman Brothers let us look at as many options as we wanted. And, their selection of high end used cars/SUVs seemed endless! You could tell that each car on the lot was hand selected to meet the highest of standards. I was considering buying long-distance to have the car shipped. I did my due diligence regarding the dealership, checking the reviews as well as complaints filed with the Attorney General's Office (all had been resolved to customer's satisfaction) and the Better Business Bureau (complaints about cars being misrepresented). (Be sure to look beyond the reviews posted on their website. They only post the 5-star reviews.) The sales person was nice as could be, full of promises and guarantees. When I saw the CarFax was 7 months old, I was a little leery. I asked for this guarantee in writing: "The car is accurately described on our website and all systems are in working order. If the car delivered is not the car we promised, we will pay for return shipping and refund your money." They would not agree to that guarantee, and so I did not buy the car from them. Yes, they said if I wasn't happy with the car that I could pay to have it returned and receive a refund. My sticking point was that they weren't willing to stand behind all of their verbal promises and the information on their website with a written promise to pay for return shipping if they were being deceitful in any way. In other words, they really had nothing to lose by delivering a less-than-what we-promised automobile.P.S. - After this review was posted, I received a phone call from the sales person verbally offering to pay for return shipping on the car if I wasn't happy with it. Still nothing in writing though. I haven't changed my mind about buying from the dealer. Shying away from written substantiation screams misrepresentation.

Working with RC was a pleasure. He went to extra lengths to make sure that we were happy with the vehicle we were purchasing. He quickly arranged for several repairs that would be needed before we bought the car. After the sale, RC offered to deliver the car to a convenience midway point so we didn't have to travel the full 2+hours to the dealership.A great dealership with quality vehicles. In March, 2016 I bought a 2012 BMW Z4 s35i roadster I saw on the web site for this dealership. They were easy to deal with, and we did the paperwork for the sale via email and courier service. The shipping fee was minimal ($300) when compared to $700+ I paid for a BMW Z3 shipment from California last year. The shipping trip from Virginia to my city, Bremerton, WA took 5 days. The car was in excellent condition and is a hoot/pleasure to drive...great car! I want go give kudos to the sales agent I dealt with who goes by "RC" (I don't know what the 'R' stands for, but his email tells me his last name is Cassady). RC was very helpful and responsive, especially when it came to compensation for a damaged cover for the car's navigation display. The cover swivels open and shut to reveal or conceal the display

I wanted to purchase something that was roomy, comfortable, and something I could carry my two big dogs in - plus some bells and whistles. My thoughts are, why settle. Regardless of whatever car you purchase, you're spending a lot of money...get what you want. I searched for a good while at other dealerships, test drove various styles and saw what I wanted at Hyman Bros. The truck is beautiful, has the bells and whistles that I wanted, and low mileage. I just needed to work through the numbers and explore other options, but I kept coming back to Hyman Bros. and that big red truck. Rick Bradley was the salesperson who helped me and was so very friendly, patient and helpful as I did my research. He would check in with me on occasion, but gave me room as I researched elsewhere. I don't like high pressure - turns me off immediately. I wanted to be sure. In the end...I was sure. The truck was the vehicle for me.

This was our first experience with Hyman Brothers but everything was seamless and our Grand Cherokee is flawless. They specialize in clean low mileage cars that are basically new. Since this was my first big purchase after graduating college I was skeptical as to where to go to by the car that I knew I wanted. I liked my salesman "KC" and liked the car even more. The vehicle was in great shape minus a few minor nicks in the paint job which they were more than happy to work with me about. This is the second car we've bought from these guys in 2 years. Last time Monty Baker helped us and so this time we interacted with him directly. Monty is a pleasure to deal with - he is proactive in his communications, respectful of my time. He was able to do a lot of pre-work and speak to the Finance guy in advance since I told him I had only 90 mins to complete the transaction. These guys take good care of the cars. The entire process was so seamless, from the first phone call about a car we saw online to getting the loan! I love that it's a local company, yet their inventory is extensive. Antoine was incredible to work with and even had the car we were interested in brought over from another location so it was more convenient for us. I love their no-haggle prices and that we never felt pressure to buy. Their facility is upscale and classy and everyone was so nice that we met. Antoine even went the extra mile to meet me at REI so I could get the roof rack off the car that we traded in since I lost the key. I can't say enough about how exceptional they treat their customers and they definitely beat the CarMax appraisal price. The financing part didn't take long at all and Jimmy was absolutely wonderful to work with too. I would HIGHLY recommend buying from Hyman Brothers!!!

After 38 years of car buying I had the customer service experience of my life time buying a car. After 12 years of being off the credit grid (cash only buying) I found myself with no credit history. Which is the express way to HIGH finance charges and dealer how bad do you want this dispositions. Rick Bradley and Larry "The finance guy", left me in disbelief with the deal I received. I now have THE car I wanted, a payment I love and the ability to reestablish myself in the credit world. Sounds unbelievable of course it does, but that's my story and I am sticking to it. I will always remember not the car I purchased, but the help with my financial credit footing that they have provided that included a car. No I would NOT, BUT then I would be like the CRAZY fouled up society we now live in and with, were everyone looks out for number (themselves)! My fiancee and came down from Northern VA to purchase a used 2014 Acura. Prior to the visit Rick and I spent some time on the phone going over everything to expect. For the visit, Rick was expecting us with the car ready to go, and paperwork already started. It took us less than 2 hours to finish the test drive, have all our question answered, small body problems (scratches) taken care of by their service department, and all paperwork prepared and signed. Rick was very personable and knowledgeable about the car at the same time . The day after the purchased I received a follow up phone call from Rick. Also worked with Larry Bracy at financing on paperwork. To my surprise I did not get any sales pitch abut anything else that the dealership wants to sell us, including the extended warranty on the vehicle, like I normally get at other dealerships. It was a rainy and nasty Saturday but KC stuck with us, he was very patient and considerate with our over active children and numerous test drives. I loved the fact that he seemed more genuinely concerned with our needs and the quality of the vehicle we left with than pushing us into something more $$$ so he could get a better commission. Visited the dealership while it was closed on a Sunday. Found a car on the lot that we were interested in and were having a hard time finding. Visited again the next day and was greeted by KC. KC was a great! He had a great personality and answered all our questions. We test drove the car twice and went over the entire vehicle. At no time were we pressured or rushed into the purchase. This dealership seems to be very confident in the vehicles they sell, and rightfully so. The VW we purchased was in exceptional condition. Mr. Bruce Craig, my salesman was awesome! Problem: another Hyman salesman was rude and unprofesional. During my sale with Craig...while he was putting the temp license on the rear of the vehicle, the other salesman walked in front of me, brought a woman with him opened the door of the car, and showed the vehicle to a customer. She protested saying, "that's not right she's looking at the car". The other salesman told her "dont worry about her, you can look at this car and you can buy the car while she is out on her test drive." I later bought the car but it made the whole experience demeaning....buying a car should be pleasant and happy. I bought the car for my son and sadly my one memory will be a rude salesman who made the day ugly. Positive side, the finance team were great. Mr. Craig went the extra mile to make up for the rude man but the damage was done. Feel strongly though that the behavior of the rude salesman was typical. A monetary reward would have given me a closure. I only asked for $50 off of the vehicle.

Hyman Brothers advertised a Nissan Murano LE form 2010, which is the highest end trim. They provided all the features that the model has online. Wehn we went to see and test drive the car they had inside the car a list of all the features. However when we asked the vendor, he stated that some of the features were not include in THIS LE model. He never stated that this was not an LE model. Moreover, when we were filling the paperwork to close the deal, they provided 2 papers stating the the model was an LE. What they sold me was actually a model S, the lowest trim of all. When I contacted them they told me that they made an "honest mistake". Later, I asked them just to pay for a rear view camera that was $188.00 and they refused.The whole process showed me that either they are dishonest, trying to take advantage of the client or they are ignorant and don't have a clue of what they are selling, in any case, all theyir claims that they offer a great buying experience proved to be false.

My experience at Hyman Bros on Broad was more than what I had hoped for. I walked in to ask about a car I saw on the internet about two weeks earlier, but it had already been sold. I spoke with Rick, and he set out to find something similar to what I was looking for. I did not think that I would be able to find anything like the car I walked in hoping to see, but Rick made it happen. In fact, the car he found was at a dealer near the beach and he told me that if I wanted to see it they could have it up in an hour or so. As soon as I said yes, Rick immediately set it in motion and the car was there faster than the blink of an eye, and it was even better than it looked in the pictures. Needless to say, I was surprised at how quick the process took, and I ended up leaving with the car that night. I can't thank Rick and Jimmy enough for their help in making my first car-buying experience a fantastic one. They were honest and diligent and even kept small talk while I was waiting for everything to get finalized. Needless to say I cannot recommend Hyman Bros enough. When you go, ask for Rick and he will make it happen!

Found the staff to be extremely friendly, courteous and low pressure in the sales process. The car I was interested in was waiting for me when we showed up to look at it. They immediately took me out for a test drive and then let me take my wife for one. They were able to find a finance rate better than I could through any of my lending sources. I was disappointed in their no haggle policy. I was expecting to have them lower the price at least a small amount but since they found such a low interest rate, the total cost became a wash. Would definitely consider them as a source when looking for any future autos.

We just purchased a used Dodge Durango from Hyman Brothers, West Broad in Richmond, VA. Our sales person was Amon Hamad and we found him to be very knowledgeable about the vehicle. The purchase process took a little longer than I'd like, but my expectation was 15 minutes (I had a check in hand).Where Hyman Brothers truly shined was their service. Shortly after purchasing our vehicle, we found that it need about $7,500 in repairs. I frantically called Antoine, who directed me to the service manager, Ralph as the vehicle was still covered under Hyman Brother's 3-month warranty.Ralph was EXCELLENT! There were almost no questions asked. It was such a seamless process. He knew the service guys at our local Porsche dealer and interacted with them on our behalf.After one day, Ralph had the necessary approvals for the repairs and we brought our truck to the dealer. The work was done, and the bill was paid by Hyman. All we had to do was drop the vehicle off and pick it up when it was ready.I cannot stress how relieved we were with how easy it was to deal with Hyman Brother's. I doubt anybody would stand behind their product the way these guys did. We will definitely look here first for any used-car purchases in the future.Thank you!

We owned a Honda Odyssey for many years and wanted to trade our old car for a newer car. A pre- owned certified Traverse. We contacted and visited a couple of dealers, but they didnt have the car color or the options we were looking for. We werent in a hurry to buy and just wanted to find the right car for our family. My husband contacted Hyman Bros. to find out more about a Traverse they had that had all the options we wanted; unfortunately, we learned that this car wasnt certified we decided not to visit them. Rick Bradley contacted us to follow up on our decision and I let him know about our concern. Rick said that we should stop by to check the car out and discuss their vehicle Protection Options. Rick wasnt pushy at all and said that perhaps we would find a good coverage plan that would fit our needs. We are glad we stopped by. During our visit, Rick showed us the car and explained with detail everything we should know about it. What impressed me is that he was thorough and took his time to go over everything. He also talked with pride about the company and its owners and the history of the family business. It was a pleasant different experience. You know when you visit a dealership and the sales person approach you with a line conversation and treats you like you are one more person? Well, this is not the case with Hyman Bros. Rick was sensitive to our needs and wanted to help as much as he could. He showed honesty and integrity. Rick knew what we wanted and went all the all the way to try to help us. We also had a pleasant experience working with Jimmy on the insurance coverage plan. It was also nice to meet the owner who stopped by and chatted with us a little. We are so glad Rick contact us back and recommended that we check the car out and their coverage options! We wish all the dealerships had this professionalism, honesty and specially, this positive family feel environment!

The first thing we noticed was the volume of high quality vehicles on the lot. It was obvious that Hyman only deals with vehicles that are in excellent condition and meet the needs of the buyer. Amon my sales agent was very helpful in the purchase of my used 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT. First of all the ext is hard to find now that they don't make them anymore. I went to three other dealerships and waited around before buying one and wouldn't you know it I went back the next day to get them and both were sold, but luckily I found the best one in best shape at Hyman Brothers in Richmond, VA. The cleanest EXT I had looked at with all the options and low miles. They took care of me and all the little problems I had to make my Escalade like a brand new one. You will pay a premium price there but your used automobile purchase will be like brand new. I drove all the way from Lake Gaston North Carolina to purchase the Escalade. Glad I did Jimmy the Finance Manager was of great help and sales Ammon was the best sales person I have ever come in contact with in purchasing a high quality used automobile. They say you get what you pay for and that is true here. My first impression of Hyman Brothers was not the best. The receptionist when I called to find out the hours of the dealership was rude and lacked customer service. But the Jeep I saw was to good to pass up so I went by and had Amon as my salesmen. They stayed late to help us, they worked very hard for us and were very informative. Jimmy in finance really helped as well! He explained everything in great detail but also made it easy to understand! I had a small issue with the Jeep later and the service department took great care of me as well! Even though the first impression was not the best, the rest of the dealership was great!

I did my search online and was happy to find this dealership. I drove from Virginia Beach to Richmond to check it out and was very happy with the selection. I knew exactly what I was looking and they had a very good selection of that particular vehicle. The one I purchased is in excellent condition for being three years old ....it looks brand-new and has low miles. My husband will also be in the market very soon for a new (used) car and we will definitely be coming back. The guys I worked with were great as well..... very helpful with no pressure. Jimmy and Antoine are highly recommended. :) You will definitely pay a little more because there is no haggling but to me it is worth it in the end.

Having been around the block a few times buying a used car, I have to admit I walked in with my guard up. Within just a few minutes I could tell that a defensive stance wasn't necessary. The internet is a wonderful thing, you can find the best possible price for the car you want anywhere. Unfortunately "anywhere" isn't always convenient. Hyman Bros. had exactly the car I wanted and were the most convenient. Monty, Jimmy, and everyone I dealt with were nice guys, knowledgable, answered questions and took care of everything I needed. Good people to buy from. The price was average for the car based on what other dealers were selling. Not the best deal at all but reasonable. BUT I know they took the car in as a trade so they made a bunch between wholesale value they paid and the price I paid. This is America, capitalism is king, I could have held out, waiting months and maybe found a better deal but I wanted the car. Hyman Bros. made some bank. I hope Monty or other workers get a Holiday bonus with the markup I paid, or maybe it sparks the local economy for Hyman to hire an additional pert time worker. We all help our economy move forward.Love the car, I would shop here again.

I was very pleased with my experience at Hyman Bros. on West Broad. Although I had to warm up to its no-haggle policy, Monty Baker guided me through every step of the way. He answered all of my questions, provided numerous helpful suggestions, and even rode with me to the Midlothian store in the middle of rush hour traffic to look at the 2011 Grand Cherokee I eventually purchased. It is a clean vehicle with low mileage. In addition, Monty was very patient as I navigated the car-buying process. Monty is a knowledgeable salesman with a high level of experience. Amon was very professional and and respectful, I always dread buying used cars but my daughter just got her driver's license and we had to get another car. Amon greeted my husband and I from the parking lot and welcomed us to the office. The Volvo C70 that I wanted was in the Midlothian store, he made sure it was at the Broadstreet location in 2 hours for us to view. He even talked to the manager and gave us a better financing rate. Jimmy Dameron was also awesome with the signing of papers and made it easy for us. The car was superb and immaculately clean, it does not look like a used car at all, very low miles and great price. I recently traded in my Hyundai Genesis to this dealer for a GMC Acadi. I was greeted by their salesman Amon Hamad who was very helpful in showing me the car I wanted to see. I felt their offer for my car was low and within five minutes we had agreed on a new offer. The Acadia I wanted had a couple of problems. The A/C was not working properly which Eric Powell of their service department brought to my attention. They gave me a loaner car and fixed the air conditioning. The steering wheel was making a sound I was not happy with so they replaced the steering column. I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a car.

after having a horrible experience with a used car dealership i talked with jimmy and rick they got me in an SUV that i like alot and even worked an extra special deal to get new tires. they were a breath of fresh air and there are 3 more customers that i will be sending to them in the next three months. I wasnt ready to buy a car but mine died and I had no choice. Buying a car is stressful in itself. My dad recommended this dealer to me. The car buying experience from Hyman Bros. has been nothing less than AWESOME! I was in the market for a particular vehicle (BMW X5). There were many dealerships and vehicles to choose from but the staff at Hyman Bros., specifically Steve and Jimmy, ultimately 'sold' the car. Initial contact with the dealership was amazingly prompt. A request for vehicle information was initiated on the website and within literal minutes I was contacted by the most knowledgeable, attentive, and professional car sales staff (Steve) that one could/would ever be able to find within the industry. He listened to my concerns, e.g. financing; the vehicle that I was interested in; and the logistics of it all ( I was located over 100 miles away), and facilitated the most amazing vehicle purchase transaction that I have ever experienced. I purchased a 1994 Corvette on 9/9/2014 from Hyman Brothers dealership in Richmond, VA. I traveled 200 miles to view/purchase the car and was very pleased with my purchase. The car had been gone over very throughly, had been cleaned and waxed, and had been filled with fuel. The car was lacking both key FOBS but I knew that when I bought the car, however, when I arrived home and called the local Chevy dealer I was told that a new FOB would be around $200!!. I called my salesperson, Monty Baker, and asked if the dealership would pay half the cost, even though I had made the deal knowing the FOB was not included. After a short wait, Monty came back on the phone and informed me the dealership would be happy to send me a check.In addition to the $100, everyone at the dealership went out of their way to make me feel welcome and special, even offering to buy my lunch.I would recomend Hyman Brothers to anyone who is looking for a good used car and friendly and professional service.Larry MorrisHanover, PA

I located the car I wanted through Carguru and contacted the dealership. The next day, a salesman named Steve contacted me about the car. My husband and I went to look at the car, but ended up buying a different car. Steve and the rest of the staff we so friendly and willing to help us. I was driving my car home the next day! After totaling my beloved SAAB 9-5 wagon in a herd of deer this past April, I decided to look at Hyman Bros. for a replacement. They had a 2010 SAAB 9-3 SportCombi wagon that looked good, and my trusted SAAB mechanic said they had a reputation for clean cars. The SportCombi was priced a little higher than the going rate, but I felt it was a fair tradeoff for a truly clean vehicle. Amon in sales was great -- never pushy -- and though it had been 25 years since I'd applied for a car loan, Corey found me better terms than I expected and was patient with all my questions. I continue to take my Vue to Hyman Bros. for servicing, because the prices are competitive, the people are conscientious and friendly, and they retain knowledge about working on Saturns. But during this visit, for a routine oil change and state inspection, the Asst Service Manager, Eric Powell, and the service technician, Todd, went above and beyond to give incredible attention to my vehicle. They surprised me by making certain I left with a sparkling clean car (it was badly in need of a vacuum and wash), and beautifully defogged headlamps (even though the light covers had squeaked through the inspection process), an amazingly thoughtful gift for this always-strapped-for-cash senior citizen. I am so grateful to Eric and Todd for their kindness. And to Hyman Bros. West Broad for their obvious dedication to offering a high quality of customer service. I realize we can't always expect this kind of special attention, but I'll certainly never take my car anywhere else!

We live in Rochester NY, and our family needed a car to replace one "loaned" to my college aged son. Just wanted to lease an Nissan Altima for 2 years. Spent 10 days going through leasing gyrations with Nissan dealers in Rochester NY, and became totally exhausted by the process. I knew what I wanted to pay for the car but the dealers had to play their games.Became so frustrated by the process that we decided to look for a used Saab 9.3 because we have one, enjoy it and it has been a very reliable car. Searched for a Saab 9.3 on the web, and found this one at Hyman Brothers. Called to inquire about the car, and spoke to Ardie. He was very knowledgeable about the car and a very strong advocate about the dealership. This Saab is a 9.3X, and I didn't need the all wheel drive, but the car had low mileage, was a southern car and we loved the color combination.Ended up purchasing the car over the phone sight unseen. Ardie was very thorough and accommodating. He made the purchase easy, as did Finance Consultant Andrew Slater. The car was shipped a few days later and we took delivery a few days after that. The whole transaction took about a week from initial call to delivery.I congratulated Ardie on selling me the car - he made me buy more car than I wanted and I paid more than I wanted - but we love the car so far. Was a bit nervous buying over the phone, but so far so good. The car was spotless at delivery - the dealership did a great job prepping the car. Overall - I was very happy with the process and the car. Ironically, the next day after we made the decision to buy the used Saab from Hyman Brothers, a Rochester Nissan dealer "found" an additional $1,700 off the price of an Altima. Too little too late.

He explained about the oil changes and gave me a card so that when I got the oil changed, the 3rd oil change was free. He introduced us to the service manager. He got someone to program my cell phone in the car. I would recommend Hyman Brothers to everyone. We ended up back at Hyman Bros. because it was the best SUV at the best price. Sales process was smooth and easy. Amon promptly got all of the paperwork done and had me in the finance office in a flash.Corey Axel in finance was GREAT. In and out in less than 40 minutes!!!!! I had a 1.9% rate already and he was able to beat it and get me 1.7%. Not pushy either in the back office.Overall I would buy from this dealership and Amon again. My wife and I came to the Dealership on Broad Street on 3-31-14 - for a scheduled appointment to look at a 2009 VW Convertible. The car was overpriced. The NADA High Retail was $16,000 and the No Haggle Hyman Bros. Price was $17,500. I did discuss the price with the salesman, and told him that a new 2014 was selling for $23,000 up the street. The salesman told me he didn't price the vehicles, and the price was what it was. That being said, we liked the car, it was everything we wanted, low miles - 28K - and we were willing to pay a little more for it. Where we became very disillusioned was when we were only offered $15,000 for our Trade, a 2010 Honda CRV - EX Model - AWD - with 56K Miles. When I asked the salesman to look up the value of our vehicle on Kelly, he told me the retail value was between $21,000 and $22,000. Now my wife and I started to feel that we were not only over paying for the vehicle we were buying, we were now being taken on the vehicle we were trading. When we questioned the appraisal, the sales manager came back with $16,500 for our trade. We left the dealership telling the salesman and manager that we would think about it. I needed to get $17,000 for our trade to make the deal work. When I called the next day and spoke to the salesman, he told me their offer was not negotiable. What A Shame... Every Deal Is Negotiable... Hyman Bros would have made money selling the VW and they would have made money on selling our Honda on their lot. Based on my experience I would never recommend this dealership to anyone that I know. My wife and I left with the feeling that it's all about thier profit, and the customer is an after thought.

We found an add for a Subaru Baja on-line, the car was located at Hyman Bros. on West Broad. After contacting Amon, we were given all of the information necessary to evaluate the car before we arrived. Amon had everything ready and waiting for us when we arrived, all we had to do was see the car and test drive it. This was the easiest purchase of a vehicle we have ever expereinced. What's worse than a root canal? Buying a car, obviously. Unless you go to Hyman Bros on West Broad St. Since Dec 21st, my wife and I have purchased two vehicles from Hyman Bros. Steve Sommers was and will be our salesman for future purchases. Steve will do whatever is necessary to get you any vehicle you want to drive from their locations in Richmond. He will listen to your needs and accommodate you regardless of your situation. Gardner Quaintance, sales manager, made our purchases a pleasant experience. I have purchased numerous vehicles from dealers over the years and I can't think of a better buying experience from these two gentlemen. My last comment to future buyers; listen to Corey Axel, finance manager. I wanted nothing to do with an extended warranty on my Mercedes 350ML and blatantly told him so when we signed the papers. During the purchase of our second vehicle two weeks later I brought up the matter and finally LISTENED to him. In short, we asked to purchase a platinum warranty on our Mercedes and I'm glad we did. From beginning to end the experience was top notch! The professionalism, the customer service & friendly demeanor is second to none. After purchasing several vehicles throughout the MD/DC/VA area, I have to tip my hat to Jim Systermann of Hyman Brothers. Jim Systermann did a pre-approval by telephone so I wouldn't make the trip from Waldorf MD to Richmond VA unnecessarily. He called back and said I could come pick up the car and what documents I needed to bring the next day. To add icing to the cake, Jim arrived before regular business hours to ensure everything went quick and smooth. He even advised the finance guy, who had all the paperwork ready! We arrived at 7am and were on our way home at 10:15a. And that's not even the best part; the terms were unbelievable. For someone who is fresh out of bankruptcy, they made me feel like I had A-1 credit. Low down payment, low monthly payment, for a beautiful ride, FULLY LOADED!!! Nice clean vehicles, nice people, easy to work with and flexible. Internet site was easy to use and sales agent did a very good job. Price was reasonable. Finance manager gave usual dealership spiel to add on gap insurance and an over priced extended warranty but got us a very good rate.

Dealer has no-haggle pricing and stands by it. Prices are resonable and reflect a fair market value. The finance manager worked to achive a good interest rate and terms and was a major part of the overall deal to buy the car. All at the dealership were helpful and the experence was low pressure. My fiance and I have worked with Amon before, and had a great experience. He had followed up multiple times, knowing that I was looking into getting a mid-size SUV in the near future. After a lot of discussion and searching on the website, we determined that we would like to purchase new, a Mazda. Amon was great in helping to coordinate everything, since we still wanted to work with him on the purchase. He was more than willing to go above and beyond to make the transaction smooth and quick. I received nothing but superior service from the Hyman Bros. company from the very second I was first called about my online inquiry for a BMW I found easily on the website to the second I was driving my purchased vehicle off the lot! I had the pleasure of dealing with Rick (sales), Bob (financing), meeting Lisa (service) and they all did everything they could to make my car purchasing experience beyond phenomenal, and even after driving my car off the lot I still know they are there if I have questions about anything. The next day I had to pick up the vehicle I originally drove up to the dealership and drive it back, then grab a ride back up to the dealership, and get back into my purchased vehicle. Upon arrival I noticed Rick was tightening my 30 day tags because one was about to fall off since the screws were just a tad to small to hold the tag in place (on point, he must have seen the loose tag from the showroom, it's on there good!). I've also had to call because I had a few questions about specific details on the vehicle and I have received quick and accurate responses. I don't have any suggestions for improvement, I now happen to be an extreme raving fan of this company, and my family, friends, and myself will absolutely be purchasing vehicles from Hyman Bros. in the future because I don't see the need in having to go anywhere else.Thank you Rick, Bob, and Lisa for a painless, quick, and amazing experience...if I could go back in time I would not have purchased previous vehicles from anyone else. My wife and I called Hyman Bros. to make sure the 2009 Ford Edge that we saw on the website was still for sale. Steven Sommers (our salesman) told us it was and we could come look at it. When we arrived Steve had brought the Edge up to the front so we didn't have to walk around the lot looking for it. It turned out that Steve was the person that had taken pictures of the Edge for the website and we let him know that he did a great job showing all the details of the Edge so we didn't get to Hyman Bros. and find out that it didn't have a option that we were looking for. He did a great job telling us the details of where the Edge came from and a few things that couldn't be seen on the website. We decided to take the car for a test drive and it ran perfectly. Wanting to "Sleep on it" he let us know that we could apply for a loan online at their website and if we needed anything else just call him. That night we decided to buy the 2009 Ford Edge so we applied online and thought we would call him the next morning when he got to work at 9am. Well at 8.55am he called to let us know that he got all the paperwork and wanted to know what time we wanted to come pick up our new Edge. I was trading in a car so he said just bring the title and they would take care of everything when we got there. We arrived at 3:30pm the Edge was up front cleaned and polished with a full tank of gas ready to go. It only took 30 min for them to appraise my car ( I got the price I wanted) and do all the loan paperwork and we were done. Everyone at the dealership was very nice and it made this car buying experience the best one I have ever had (and I have had over 25 in my lifetime). I recommend Hyman Bros. to everyone.

I spent over a year trying to look for a replacement for my 99 Jeep Wrangler. Fuel costs have risen and I had over 180k miles on it. My soft was in bad shape but my engine was fine but I thought after 15 years of driving the Jeep that it was time to move on. Sad to say, I love my Jeep and I will miss ole "Bessy". So when I searched the internet, I knew I couldn't afford a new Camaro. So my next desired vehicle was an Eclipse. I always loved them! Nice look, sporty ride and pretty decent on fuel. At least better than my Jeep. I saw so many deals on the internet from Autotrader to cars.com. But when I saw the Eclipse I wanted, I saw it on Hyman Brothers' website! OMG she is a beauty and well taken care of! I had bad credit and a low down payment. And didn't think most dealers would work with me. Well, Hyman Brothers did! I couldn't believe it! Rick called me back and said he got the payments down to why I need them.So I had to travel out of state to get this vehicle and trade in my "Bessie". They gave me a great deal for my Jeep! This was a deal I couldn't turn down. I get to Richmond, and guess what? I am lost!!! It's 8 pm and I am middle of nowhere just right outside of Richmond. I ran out of gas and it was dark and cold. I called Rick Bradley (Sales consultant) and Andrew Slater (finance). They were like "where ya at? you know we close at 6 pm on Saturdays!" I'm lost, the road signs are so difficult to read! What a mess! I was having a bad night! So figuring I was Sh$t out of luck, I sat in my Jeep...alone...and lost.So these guys are like mad men!!! They were crazy...they called me up and said "Andy, we gonna find you and get you to our dealership one way or another!" Boy were they mad! They spent over 12 hours working and I kept them longer than I should. But these guys grinned and beared it! Rick got where I was at with not one gallon but 2 gallons of gas! Got me going and I followed him to the dealership! Rick is an older gentleman. He is classy and very professional. You can tell he wanted my business. He helped me tremendously throughout the process. From the first email/first phone call, he was there! He encouraged me and helped me through this mess. I got to the dealership and it was like the pictures I seen on the internet. West Broad Street. Really nice and classy car joint! And then I saw my Eclipse! What a beaut!~ She was so pretty and the pictures on the website did no justice. You got to be there to witness it the pure size and elegance of this car! I met Andrew the finance guy. A big, brawny New Yorker with an Italian accent. Wow! He sounded like a mobster on the phone! He was professional and very helpful! The big thing about him was that he made me feel like I was good friend. He explained in detail about my contract and things I needed to do! He made me feel welcome even though I made him and Rick wait for me. I am thoroughly impressed with Hymans Brothers. This is my first time buying a car in almost 15 years. I never thought I could get the car I want or get a good trade in deal like I did. Well Hymans my dream come true!!! Thanks Rick and Andrew! You guys are really friendly and really wanted to help me! I appreciate for all you did that night. You guys are the best in Virginia!!!! I would definitely recommend you guys! I hope to see you guys when I come in for an oil change. Thanks again!!!

I love the people that work at Hyman they are very nice however ym car reaked of smoke when I test drove it and when I was told it was "detailed' beofre I bought it, it still smelled horrible. I have taken i into my own hands to fix it, on tope of that some other parts of the car were not very clean but all in all the experience was very nice and I would go back.

This has been the best car-buying experience I've ever had, and I've bought a lot of cars. Every member of the Hyman Bros. Broad Street staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our sales consultant was extremely helpful, but not pushy. He knew the inventory well, and was able to direct me to numerous vehicles that met my shopping criteria.I pre-qualified on-line, and the finance manager had prepared several financing options by the time I arrived. He had aggressively shopped around to get me the best financing rate. Overall - very positive experience, and I will recommend Hyman Brothers to anyone in the market to buy an automobile.

I purshaced a car from Steve in late January,2013 nice car, Steve was Great, very helpful through out the whole experience. Price was fair, had the car shipped to me, and thats where the problem was, the shipping, they really need too screen the people they give your car too, my car arrived with numerous ploblems, after it finally got here. extra miles, damaged windshield, damaged wheel, damaged paint. Steve was as helpful as he could be, but it seemed the dealership didn't care about the problems. I would still recommend this dealer, just don't let them set up shipping...............

We purchased a used Chevrolet Colorado for my son at Hyman's on West Broad Street. We are so excited about our truck! Our sales consultant, Amon was top notch!! I was impressed with his knowledge, dedication and hard work to assist us with our deal. He continued to stay in touch with us throughout the process and we look forward to working with him for years to come. This is a top notch dealership. I felt like they were honest and helpful throughout the process. Haywood Hyman was also terrific and I enjoyed speaking with him. I gave a rating of 4 overall due to the financing that was offered to us. With strong credit, we expected a good rate from the start. The rate offered to us was not acceptable, so we made a few calls and had a rate 2% lower within 10 minutes. When we called the dealership back, the rate offered to us initially was lowered by 2% points. However, they failed to match the rate we received. The financing should be more in line with what other banks are offering - so their customers do not have to shop for better rates. I was not impressed with the finance department. As a result of the rate shopping, the process was delayed some.Overall, however, we had a terrific experience. We look forward to future purchases at Hyman with our favorite salesperson, Amon. He connected with us and my son. We appreciate all of the time he put into deal and making sure everything was processed smoothly. I appreciate the friendliness of the team - including both Haywood and Amon. Thanks again for everything!

Not to happy I was told it was 4-wheel drive and its not. No owners manual in the vehicle. I received a letter from Hyman stating its time for service and hadn't had it two weeks. Called and asked about the 4wheel drive Amon checked and said its not. I told him I'm not happy because we were told it was he said I could go on line and see if there is something else we like, well it wasn't we saw what was on the lot. I was told don't drive the car over 150 miles or 3days money back guarantee incase I decides on something else. I put that many miles on it from the dealership to home. Still no owner manual "it's been ordered" and the service letter I was told "disregard letter we send those to every customer".

I purchased my 2009 Cadillac CTS today from Hyman Brothers West Broad. I had called the dealership 2 days prior to schedule an inspection of the vehicle's interior on my lunch hour, and my sales consultant, Ray, had it ready when I got there. The interior was immaculate! My mind was pretty much made up. As I was pressed for time, Ray told me to call him with any questions, and I did....at least 3-4 times after I left there that day and each time I called, he was very pleasant, professional, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The entire staff made this car buying experience GREAT. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for clean, quality used cars with low mileage.

Aman did not know the produict he was selling. He did not tell anything about warrenty information or tell me about the options the car had. He didn't even know that the car had a 6 disc changer in it and the stereo system said it on the player. He was very friendly and polite but needs to learn more about his product before he tries to sell it. He rushed me into purchasing the car after the test drive. At my first test drive for another vehicle when I decided that the car was too expensive he tried to call and tell me that I could afford it when he had no idea about what other responsibilities I have. On the positive note, the business manger Bob was awesome, he answered all my questions and went the extra steps to make sure that I was happy and content with my purchase . He worked out several different options for me to make sure that I had the bestI could get.When I picked up my new car, the car had simply had been rinsed and not washed or detailed. The front bracket for the license plate was not on it and had to be ordered,

We went to Hyman Brothers, and Ray, because we had a fabulous experience last year when our son bought a car from them. The staff is friendly, yet professional, and we have always found them to be honest. Had the car checked by our mechanic, who proclaimed it "beautiful" and ready for a trip immediately. I had checked the Kelly Blue Book value for our trade-in before going to the dealership, but Hyman Brothers offered us more because there were features I couldn't list in KBB that the dealership recognized added value to the vehicle.

Big Tom may have seemed a little uneducated, but that was only because he had just begun working there several days before...and in fact, I was his very first sale! What Tom may not have known about procedures, he made up for in kindness and genuine care. John made the deal happen! His expertise in the area of financing and his willingness to go the extra mile, made the difference between driving off the lot with my old vehicle and driving off with my new one...at least new to me! We were not expecting to be able to drive my new car off the lot that same day (you can tell how long it's been since we have bought a vehicle through a dealership). Let me just say - these are very good people. We drove down from Alexandria after spotting several very clean low mileage vehicles on their website. What they had in stock was exactly as advertised. Hampton McClellan helped us all the way, patiently letting us test drive, explaining features, and offering suggestions. We ultimately chose a gorgeous very low mileage Lexus. They obviously are very picky about what they put on their lot. It was a very low key, pleasant experience. We went and had lunch across the street while they brought another vehicle from their other location at my request. There was never a point where I felt as though they were trying to take advantage or misrepresent anything. They gave me a very fair trade in value on my existing vehicle, which sealed the deal for me.Once back in Alexandria I took the vehicle to the local Lexus dealership for a full check out and service. Overall experience was mixed at best. The vehicle that we purchased we loved, but the process was quite frustrating. We had our own financing and even with cash in hand their unwillingness to negotiate or budge made it painful. If it weren't for them having the exact vehicle we wanted I wouldn't have purchased from them. Their sales staff left a lot to be desired, in fact I was juggled between 3 people.

After the vehicle was delivered, I noticed that the owners manual was missing and was subsequently advised by Gardiner Quaintance "GQ" and Jim Systerman, that Hyman will not provide me with a 40.00 manual. Forget what you read about customer satisfaction, because I did not receive it.Update 11-7-12/ Huddy from the Hyman Bros Mazda Store stepped up to the plate and ordered me the owners manual. Still no response from GQ or Systerman. Go see Huddy for a car. He made it right.

I live in Sherman Oaks, CA, and had great hesitation in buying an almost new Audi S5 from a dealer 3000 miles away and only based on photos. But the reviews for Hyman Bros. were so good I took the chance. They took the car to an Audi dealer for an inspection (it is still under warranty) and rotated the tires and gave it an alignment. The shipping was just as simple; the carrier dropped the car off at my house about a week later. In sum, I wish all businesses were as truthful, caring, meticulous to detail and sincere in pleasing their customers. So if you are from out of state but see something you like, you can be sure what you see is what you will get. I highly recommend Hyman Bros.

After giving up on finding the perfect car in my area, I found the car I was looking for through Autotrader.com and have to admit I was a bit suspicious and wary of a 1987 Cadillac with only 15,000 miles for $7,900. On top of that, it was on the other side of the U.S. so I would have to have it shipped to Portland, Oregon (sight unseen - except for the extensive photos on the website). It seemed just too good to be true. However, after seeing that the dealership was well regarded with the Better Business Bureau I decided to give it a shot.I was amazed at how simple the procedure was. They overnight-ed the paperwork to me and included an overnight envelope for me to send it back. Jim assured me that everything would be okay with the shipping and such and it was. Within a few weeks the car arrived and it was every bit as impressive (more so, even) than I expected. I liked the no haggle price and feel the car was an excellent deal.Anyone looking for a used car (no matter where you live) should definitely check this place out.Thanks, Jim!

We had the best experience at Hyman Bros. Everyone we encountered was outgoing and friendly. They worked with us ahead of time to secure financing to make the process easier when we were there. There was no pressure at all to buy or buy a more expensive car. There was also no pressure to upsale or get the extended warranty. Purchasing my second hand car from Hyman Brothers was an extremely positive experience. Everyone I dealt with was attentive, knowledgeable, caring and kind from the sales department with Steve Summers to the Business office with GQ and even the delivery driver, I could not be more impressed !! Because I live out of state, a trusted friend found this car and together with Hyman Brothers worked with me so I felt comfortable purchasing it sight unseen. The car is in great condition for being 7 years old and only had 67,000 miles on it. I felt the price to be fair. Hyman Brothers worked with me to get the title cleared faster than typically normal so I could register my car. Once the car was received I had it checked out by my local auto shop and it was discovered that the radiator was leaking. Hyman Brothers payed for the repair in full. This meant a lot to me and I am most appreciative ! When purchasing the car, I knew that the car only had one set of keys. Hyman Brothers paid for the duplicate key so it was not an issue. I love my new, second hand car. It drives really well and I know I will have it for many years to come ! If I lived in VA, I know that I would have Hyman Brothers service my car as well. One of the best things about the dealership and buying experience was the friendliness and warmth of the salesmen. Ray taught me how to drive a manual transmisson for the first time. Great teacher by the way. Also when I was driving the car and looking at it, I never felt any unwanted pressure about purchasing the car. The speed in which the financing aspect of purchase was amazing in my opinion. They located a great credit union in which I got the best possible APR for my credit score.All in all this is a great dealership with great people working there. I recently purchased a 2006 BOSS Edition Mustang from Steve Sommers. I saw the vehicle when it was being prepared for the sales lot and asked Mr. Sommers to please contact me when the car was available for purchase. My wife and I have been set on purchasing a Toyota Sienna for a while. She wanted a certain color, and a clean vehicle; I wanted certain features and a used vehicle with just under 30,000 miles. In our search online we found very few in the local area. When we expanded our search to the entire country, only two came up... one was at Hyman Brothers in Virginia. I noticed that they would ship anywhere in the USA for $250. This was a good option to have available. I'm a pilot and can fly for free so I decided seeing the vehicle before buying was a good idea. Ray offered to pick me up at the airport and bring me to the dealership. He was very pleasant. The car had two problems: Battery acid collecting around the battery seams, and very worn tires. The picture of the tires depicted on the internet was of the one tire that was better than the rest due to being replaced from a blow-out. I pointed this out and they offered me $125 per tire allowance and replaced the battery. I informed them that if those two things were taken care they had a deal. They located financing about %0.1 lower than my local bank, and when my bank told me they don't wire money, Ray drove me to a local bank that had Shared Branching with mine so I could acquire a cashier's check. Overall I had a very pleasant experience.

I came here looking to sell me Jeep Liberty. I had been told by one of the dealerships that I was considering buying a car from that this place called Hyman Brothers was known for beating other dealerships' buying prices. I called them and spoke with Ray, and told him what I was interested in doing and what vehicle I was selling and he told me to come on by. When I first drove on to the lot I was immediately impressed with the portfolio of vehicles they carried- they were luxury and in pristine condition. That intimidated me at first because I thought maybe whoever I speak with might be the type to, you know, come off as haughty, but they were very approachable and friendly and helpful. Ray asked me why I was looking at selling my Liberty and what I was interested in getting instead and I told him a Hybrid sedan. He said alright and while my vehicle was getting inspected and test driven in order to appraise, he brought me to a 2010 Lexus Hybrid that they had. Ray gave me a very thorough but relaxed and comfortable run through of all of the car's components and features. I was extremely impressed. I hadn't even been considering a Lexus to begin with but this one met right off the bat alot of the conditions that I had set for any of the cars that I consider. And the comfort of sitting inside it.. Oh my gosh. I had never sat inside of a Lexus before but after having so and then test driving it, I know why many Lexus drivers are repeat buyers. Anywho, the Hyman Bros. dealership gave me the highest bid between 3 other dealerships and CarMax. They were extremely friendly, honest, and made me feel very relaxed in how everything went about. I'm highly impressed with their service and the higher standard that they set, not only for dealerships but for businesses in the Richmond area. They're a step up in class and service and it definitely shows.

I had an excellent experience at Hyman Bros. I spent multiple hours on the internet searching for a used 5-series BMW within 200 miles of my home. The best selection and prices were found at Hyman Bros. All of the cars I looked at were in mint condition and had low mileage. My salesman was TJ and he did a fantastic job - no pressure, very knowledgeable and friendly. I took my time, found the right car, a 528i, and ended up purchasing it. When I need another car, I will go back to Hyman. One suggestion - purchase the extended protection plan, I did the high end bumper to bumper. Its a good value if you consider what a single repair bill costs on the higher end cars.

After a lengthy search for a Porsche Boxster S, I drove from Connecticut to Richmond, Virginia, to look at a Boxster Hyman Bros. had in stock. Their ratings were positive online. This was a trip to a fourth state in my search. The car looked great and drove even better. As you likely know, Hyman Bros. is a 'no haggle' dealership, meaning what you see as the price is the price you'll pay if you want the car. Given the quality of the cars, and that they're fairly priced, I felt no need to argue the point. I purchased the car without a full inspection by an independent Porsche mechanic; that is a risk I wouldn't suggest others take. But with this dealer - not to worry. A Porsche guy here in CT, after a full and comprehensive inspection post-purchase, said I got myself a gem. It is next to perfect for a car that's a 2005. I needed to do nothing to it, except that it arrived with a crack in the windshield that the transport guy had noted at point of loading the car. Mr. Hyman actually contacted me to make arrangements for the replacement at no cost to me. The service throughout the buying process was exceptional. I had the car shipped for $250.00 (they'll ship anywhere for that price) AND the car arrived two (2) days after purchase! You can't count on that, but I was especially fortunate. So, in short, these folks are great, from the Business Manager, to their sales staff, to the co-owners. Based on my experience, I recommend the West Broad Hyman Bros. of Richmond without reservation. Note: they have an amazing selection of cars.

I was an out of state buyer, and I was new to buying out of state. My original plan was to fly out and drive the car home.I found Hyman Bros via autotrader, and knew that the car was exactly what I wanted. I made a phone call to see what they were about, and to learn more about the delivery fee.To make this story short - I spoke with Jim who explained the entire process of buying out of state. I then worked with Ed on the finance (got me a killer deal!!) I bought the car that day on my terms, and had it delivered in my driveway in about ten days.The entire experience was perfect, everything happened as they told me it would and there were NO surprises. I moved from California and was in the market for a high end, used vehicle with low mileage. I was very pleased with the selection at Hyman Brothers. I also shopped at Carmax and found that their vehicles were not in nearly as good condition and did not have as low mileage as the Hyman Brothers selection. A clean car, almost new was very important to me and the cars at Carmax were simply not as nice. Not only that, but the prices at Hyman Brothers are very competitive. I did my research and their prices were right on. How refreshing is that! One more perk...they service all types of vehicles. Not all used car dealers can say that. It just made the buying decision that much easier and more comforting. Most importantly, Hyman Brothers has been family owned for over 65 years. They always remember their customers, you are treated like family there.I ended up buying a 2006 Saab 95, like new. I will never buy another car anywhere else.

Ray Patterson was the reason we bought our Mazda CX-9 from Hyman Bros. instead of CarMax. He is a good salesman that makes you feel comfortable looking at cars without the "hard sell" which we always walk away from. It is easier shopping at CarMax because of the large selection and ease of looking. It's time consuming and annoying when the salesperson has to go back to the office to exchange keys to show a second or third car. Ray's personality and knowledge overcame that negative. I would buy another car from Hyman Brothers in a heart beat. The service was above any I have ever received while buying a car. Everyone from the receptionist to the sales people were friendly and willing to help. However they did not put any unwanted pressure on us. They did not go on the attack the second you walked on the lot and were willing to listen to our wants and needs and help us find something that suited both. Our sales person was kind, courteous and went out of his way to make sure we were happy and taken care of. The financing of the car was even painless. I just purchased a Cadillac CTS on August 4,2011 and this was my third vehicle i have purchased from this dealer. That sort of tells you something about the positive experience my wife and i have had at Hyman Brothers. From the owner (Haywood Hyman) sales (Steve Sommer) and finance (John Sensabaugh). I buy a lot of cars and if i get the kind of service i expect as from this dealer that's where my loyalty lies. This is the only deakership that I intend to visit. I came in to see how much the dealer would give me for my used car and wanted to check out purchasing another used car. The salesman was very friendly (NOT PUSHY)and down-to-earth and I found a car that I really liked. Although I chose not to accept the offer on my car, I did purchase a car from them. I would recommend this dealership (and have) and I would consider them when/if puchasing another vehicle in the future.

My dealer was very open with my options, and gave me great advice for my new car. He wasn't annoying, and let me take my time. I loved the unbias advice given. When actually purchasing the car, the financing was realistic and quick.

Great people to work with for an out of state purchase! Friendly, knowlegeable sales team. They even came and picked me up from the airport right on time! Paperwork was done and ready to go when I arrived. I can see why these guys have remained in buisness since 1943! Great family dealership and experience for sure. Would most definitely do buisness with again for my next car.
