This was mine and my wife's first time buying a car. As you can imagine, we were very nervous and ready to dread the experience. Luckily, Irwin Mazda -- specifically, Eileen Conlon -- made the car-buying experience a relatively simple, transparent, fast and pain-free process. Eileen was very courteous, friendly and responsive. But more importantly, she was extremely respectful - she respected our time and was not pushy or salesy at all. She provided an experience and service that I came to deeply appreciate - in our eyes, the experience we received from Eileen elevated the Mazda brand to a new level. My wife and I left with a car we loved, at a very fair price, and an extremely positive experience. Will I come back again? You bet I will. I'm a proud Mazda customer for life!

I have been driving BMWs for the past 20 years. I moved from central NJ to Manhattan. When my lease was almost up, I was passing by Irwin Mazda and decided to test drive a car, never thinking I would really switch from a BMW. I was lucky enough to meet Eileen Conlon. I actually enjoyed my time with Eileen. She knew absolutely everything about the cars and spent so much time test driving different models with me, all without making me feel obligated to make a decision. 3 months later, I came back to Freehold from Manhattan just to lease the car from Eileen and I don't miss my BMW at all. I will recommend Eileen to anyone in need of a car.

I reserved the Mazda CX5 grand touring last week and paid advance 500$ for that car. I couldn't take the car last week. I said her I will come back on Saturday to pick the car. When I went Saturday she said she sold the car which I booked. Then increased the original quotes because she has to pull the car from another dealer. When I ask her how can you sell the car which paid advance without notifying me? she was giving all reason...

Our family planned to travel to Ocean, New Jersey from Georgia the last week of July for our nephews wedding. Unexpectedly we had a death in the family and had to travel earlier than expected. We had service scheduled on our Mazda CX-9 prior to our original travel date. The service included a recall, new tires, and a broken driver side visor.In between the funeral and wedding I called a Mazda dealership closest to my relatives house, but they were very short answering my questions and appeared to have no interested in helping me. I looked to the next closest dealership, Irwin in Freehold. I was connected to Service Advisor, John Davis, and was immediately impressed with his willingness to help. One of the first items I asked John about was the sun visor. When he looked up the VIN, he noticed my vehicle had a recall. I told him I was aware and explained the circumstance that brought us to New Jersey. He was able to schedule a service appointment to look at the sun visor, perform the recall and install new tires. Not only did John get me in at a time convenient for me, price match the tires I had chosen at a local shop in Georgia, but he also supplied me with a loaner car. I was blown away with his care and concern.Unfortunately the sun visor was on back order and they were unable to install it during my initial visit. Due to the fact that the warranty would expire by the time I returned to Georgia, John called my dealership and had them open a service ticket and provided them with the part information so that the repair could be done when I returned. A few days later I received a call from John asking if I was still in New Jersey. He again, scheduled a convenient appointment time, and was able to resolve the sun visor issue prior to our long 800 mile drive back to Georgia.Needless to say John provided excellent customer service. He went above and beyond to not only help repair my vehicle, but to provide me with piece of mind during a very difficult time. If ever in future travels to New Jersey and I find a need for my vehicle to be serviced, I will definitely contact Irwin and ask to speak to John Davis.

Too much to list, but horrible work. I will never come back there again or recommend anyone going there. I bought the car in March and never thought it would be this many issues. I only owned the car for a couple months and all this happens. Irwin Mazda sucks.

I went to Irwin Mazda on 11/28/ 2015 with my son to inquire about leasing a mazda 6 ,looked the car over for about 15 minutes opening all 4 doors, sitting in the car, checking everything out to make sure he liked the car. Stood around the vehicle for about 5 more minutes waiting for a salesperson to come and help us. There were a few people at the dealership being helped & a few salespeople walking around the floor, not one came over to us or even acknowledged our presence .I presume they must have sold too many cars that day & didn't need to sell any more. I would never purchase a car from a dealer that has no respect for a potential buyer.

I walked into Irwin Mazda knowing exactly what I wanted and needed it with a minimum of hassle. The entire team and especially Jay made me feel welcome the moment I walked in. Jay let the vehicle speak for itself, which reminded me why I am a Mazda fan. No pressure, no hassle, and a pleasant experience throughout.I've yet to experience the dealership horror stories you read about so often, maybe that's because my last 2 vehicles came from Irwin Mazda. I went to this dealer to test drive a new Mazda 6. I originally had the Grand Touring in mind because of the sunroof and navigation. When we arrived, we met Michael Minneci and he was very helpful. He suggested we actually go with the Touring and add on the sunroof and technology package. I loved the car so much, that I decided to buy that day. I was able to get fair pricing, financing, and an estimate trade-in value in advance over a few emails. I cannot speak highly enough of this dealership and all who are employed there. From reception to sales to finance, I was treated as a top customer, even as a 1st time customer! Buying/leasing a car was made so easy and I was given a great deal. What I love most is the caring, relaxed environment. I was spoken to in a respectful way vs being attacked and harassed as I was in many other dealerships along the way. Even after driving off in my AMAZING Mazda3, this dealership continued to help me tie up loose ends with my previous car (my previous brand of car was giving me SUCH a horrible time with terminating the lease). They TRULY put the customer first at all times and actually care! Overall a positive experience. I want to start by saying Jon is the man. Very professional and persistent in closing the deal, we gave this man a tough time but he never gave us anything less than world class customer service. After leaving and coming back, we closed the deal during the night right before a raging snow storm began. Couldn't be happier with my experience with Jon, much respect to him. Mazda was the 5th dealership we went to, we went to Mercedes-Benz, Nissan across the street, Kia, and went through a few used car dealerships too. But I went with Mazda in Freehold half because I fell in love with the Mazda3 and other half was the service I received from Jon. I would recommend this place to anyone

Upon entering this dealership, my wife and I were promptly greeted by a saleswoman who was already working with other customers. She gave us a very friendly greeting, and paged Michael Minneci to help us. Mike was very friendly and it was very easy to have an intelligent conversation with him about the brand (and the industry as a whole). I could tell immediately that he loves his job, is enthusiastic about the Mazda brand, and is proud to be a part of it. Our initial visit was late at night (on a Thursday), creeping up on closing time, so we did not take a test drive. However, we were shown a couple of cars and took an interest in one in particular. We returned the following Saturday at a pre-determined time, to find Mike waiting for us at the front door License plates in hand, and ready to go. When the time came to talk numbers, he put in all the effort possible to get us into a car we liked and wanted at the right price. This was the fastest and easiest car purchase I have ever made. This is my 1st Mazda, and I doubt it will be my last, we couldn't be happier with the car and are very impressed with the dealership.

I had planned to start looking for a new car this time next year, but my old car decided that this fall was it. I had been researching potential new cars for some time before this and finally settled on the Mazda 6. Mike Minnicci was a fantastic sales consultant for this the lease of our new CX-5 Grand Touring. I went in with a price in mind and within 30 minutes of "discussion" I walked out with a signed order for the vehicle at generally where I was looking to be. He was friendly and willing to negotiate to get the vehicle sold (leased). The car was delivered to us the following business day and squeaky clean. I have no complaints about the experience.

Having been an Assistant Manager in the call center for Verizon for many years I would have loved for all my employees to have been as thorough and as well spoken as he was! I have bought new cars in the past, and one reason I keep them so long (I traded in a 19 year old Honda Civic and a 17 year Mazda Miata) is that the process of buying a new car has been so unpleasant in the past. My wife and I were in the market for a crossover-suv, as we have a 1 year old baby boy. Being that we are both tall (Wife is 5' 9'' and I am 6' 2'') we were looking for a second car, and something larger than our budget Nissan Sentra SR.I called in, spoke with Wayne, and met him about an hour or so later.He listened to my situation, made some recommendations, and soon thereafter we were working out a lease with an option to purchase, on a 2014 Mazda CX-5.The process was smooth, stress free and seamless and my wife and I are extremely happy with our deal.All the employees made my wife and I feel at ease and very comfortable - there is definitely a family vibe to the dealership as you don't get the sense that you are in a fish bowl with sharks swimming all around you - add to the fact that we had our little guy running around and causing havoc, and yet no one batted an eye - in fact the entire staff was quite engaging and interacting with our son.This is in stark contrast to other dealership I have been to in the immediate area, where not only have I felt uncomfortable, but believe it or not I was actually challenged to a fight once when attempting to purchase a car (long story).In any event, if you are in the market for an affordable, quality automobile, and you want to interact with knowledgeable, friendly, and fair dealers, this is the place for you.Make sure you ask for Mr. Wayne Calabretta, although you are in good hands with any of the folks working there.Warmest regards, - JT

In my entire life of 65 years and in buying cars for more than 40 years I have never had an encounter with a more unscrupulous dealership. My daughter is disabled due to intracranial hypertension. She has had multiple neurosurgical procedures for this problem and has a permanent intraventricular shunt in her brain to relieve the pressure. As a result she has memory problems, difficulty with concentration, and vision problems with reading. She informed the salesperson of this. Also as a result of these issues, she is easily intimidated. She went to Irwin of Freehold on 8/13/15 and purchased a Mazda CX5. The salesperson told her that the loan would be for 60 months at 0.0%. She and her wife signed the contract and went home with her new car. Her wife did not look at the contract since my daughter told her that it was fine. I was surprised at the interest rate because neither of them have a good credit rating, but was pleased that she was able to obtain it. When she got home she looked at the contract and saw that the interest rate was 14.3% for 72 months. She was too embarrassed to tell me or my wife about this until last week. This was a classic bait and switch that was formerly stereotypical of car dealers, which I thought never occurred anymore, but apparently is standard operating procedure at Irwin. The salesman intimidated my daughter and both the salesman and finance manager took advantage of a disabled person. Had I been aware of this I would have gone with her to the dealership and immediately returned the car, but now 2 months later that is not possible. Had I been aware of this at the time, I would have advised her not to buy the car from Irwin and would have accompanied her to another dealership to cosign her loan or buy it myself and have her make the payments to me.In my opinion this Mazda dealership should be avoided if not censured by Mazda.

I came to Mazda looking to get out of my two year old jeep I needed something with better gas mileage Jon was really helpful test driving the cars with me and telling about all the features. He was able to answer all my questions right away. He was not pushy and knowing I was not buying a car that day he still spent almost two hours with me. It's because of his great service that I came back two days later and bought A 2014 cx 5. I would recommend Jon to anyone looking for a Mazda everyone was very nice !!

My Corolla was totaled the day before Fathers Day 2012. I was looking for a newer used Mazda 3, I drove a new Corolla and just felt like I needed a better car with more to it. I chose the Mazda 3. I went to two other Mazda dealers horrible pushy stalker sales and management personnel. As soon as I walked in Irwin I felt welcomed but not bombarded by sales. Jon Fields the salesman was amazing from beginning to end. He knows his cars and was very helpful and friendly. He was not at all pushy and made me feel like decision was just right and never gave false information once. Fred was the most personable down to earth sales manager I ever met and this comes from working in two car dealerships and knowing how they can be. Buying my Mazda 3 from Irwin would not have been possible without Jon, Fred, and whole Irwin team. Thank you Jon,Freddy, and Irwin team I feel like part of the dealership family now.

My daughter and I had already visited a number of dealerships in search of her first car. Yet when we visited Irwin Mazda it was the first time we felt no pressure to buy anything. Jon Fields, the sales person we dealt with, was more interested in making sure that my daughter was happy with what she chose than just making a sale. Jon was extremely helpful in assisting us through this process. Even the Sales Manager Fred told us that this should be a fun experience for my daughter, not a stressful one. It took my daughter a week to decide which car to buy but she is so happy with her Mazda. I would highly recommend Irwin Mazda to anyone in search of a car.

Just bought my first car. The experience was low stress and extremely pleasant. Every person, from Jon the salesman to Chuck the finance professional, treated me with respect and kindness. I never felt pressured and feel strongly that I got a fair deal for the car I purchased. I would highly recommend this dealership.

street salesman talk , not a professional at all , they trying to sell a car with an fight ., argument , with no respect , very rude , stay away from Adam , used car salesman , he is biggest scam. Car that you see is totally different than webside pictures . They put different pictures when you arrive they show you beaten car which is not even close what you see at webside.

Not friendly. Offered water and never came back with it. Salesman took a smoke break and checked his lottery numbers during negotiation. Smack talked local dealers about how they rip people off; meanwhile, they tried selling me a $20k car for $26k. I was not impressed. Bought a car somewhere else.

The experience was something that is even difficult to put into words. The salesman was not knowledgable and the Sales Manager was condescending and obnoxious. After test driving the CX 9 we sat to discuss options and the salesman had no idea what he was talking about. He left the desk and went back and forth to the sales manager, who was standing feet away, more than 3 times. We were looking to get the car in the black cherry color and the salesman wanted a guarantee right then and there that if he found it, we would buy it. Here is where it got interesting! The Sales Manager finally comes out of the shadows (as if he wasn't listening to the conversation the entire time) and laughingly announces that the CX 9 doesn't come in the color we were talking about for over a half hour! Are you kidding me! The manager than proceeded to do everything in his power to talk us out of getting that car. The real kicker here is that he then bent down, pinched my cheek and mockingly told me I would never get that car for the monthly price we were looking for. All I can say is lucky my husband did not see him do that because he was already so angry that the salesman did not know what he was talking about! We abruptly got up and started to walk out and he had the nerve to shake my hand and say "sorry it didn't work out.". REALLY???? We were flabbergasted and will NEVER go back there again. If you do go, stay away from Freddie the Sales Manager!
