Leased my second Subaru from Al this week. We have a 2017 Outback and Forester. Al answered all of our questions with a smile on his face, was patient , and got back to us in a timely manner. One of the best experiences buying a car that I have ever had. Deonte the new car sales manager was very willing to try getting us into the car we wanted within our budget . Mr. Fisher helped me through the selection process to the end of the sale. Mr. Fisher located the model and options I needed, and had it on the lot for test drive within a couple of days. They allowed me to hold the vehicle with a deposit for a brief time while I was waiting on the funds. Mr. Fisher and I concluded the sale and I took delivery within a couple of hours. It was a pleasure to conduct business with Mr. Fisher.

It took me a month to make up my mind on the vehicle to purchase and I bought a new 2017 Subaru Forester through he internet staff at Landers McLarty Subaru., I live south of Nashville and drove down to pick it up. I had an additional item added to the sale that was installed today. It was worth the drive because of Detonte, Chris, Nick, Jessica, Jodie and the rest of the staff I interfaced with at the dealeership. They were honest, kept the deals made, and were just super customer orientated. I'll drive the 90 miles again to purchase another Subaru from them down the road.

I had an AWESOME car buying experience with salesman, Nathan Hudson. I like the fact that Nathan drives and loves what he sells. Nathan is very knowledgeable about the Subaru family of vehicles. I came to the dealership interested in a BRZ. After driving it (and liking it) my salesman suggested driving the WRX. At first I wasn't interested, and didn't press, but when I arrived for a second drive of the BRZ I drove a WRX while they prepared the BRZ (it was parked in a showcase area and required some work to make available). Turns out the salesman's recommendation was a good one, I loved the WRX.What really impressed me though was being honest with me later, when the one I ordered was damaged during shipping. They let me know, sent me pictures, and when I decided I didn't want the car, they didn't pressure me. They just ordered another one. One of the more pleasant buying experiences I've had.

I wanted to relay to you how great my sales experience was at your dealership. I am in Murfreesboro, TN and wanted to move from my Honda CRV to a Forester. I always buy used. After placing my needs on a website that delivered my needs to several dealers in the area. I was 1st contacted by your dealership. Over the course of 48 hours, other dealers sent me the standard email but your dealership called me in person. I told the sales person what I wanted and she called back but the deal was not what I was looking for. Enter Darrell! He texted me and literally we worked a deal, while we were texting, I was at Darrell Waltrip Subaru looking at a car. My wife and I ended our discussions at DWS and drove to Huntsville. Heidi greeted us and I asked for Darrell. He got the car pulled around and handed me off to Heidi. Heidi was unbelievable! She answered my questions and as it was getting late we agreed to the deal and left for home. Heidi provided us with a "loaner" to drive to Murfreesboro (who does that?) We came back 2 days later to pick up the car. She had the seat cleaned (they were bad). As we waited for the finance guy to arrive she came and talked to us, just being friendly. The car is great, and again Heidi was on her "A" game! We will be back and will send our friends to Heidi and Darrell!

I wanted to stop once again and thank the Landers/Mclarty Subaru Dealership in Huntsville, AL for all of their very kind service over the course of the last couple of weeks. While leaving town to head to Auburn, I was on I 565, almost too I 65, and hit something on the highway that caused a tire blowout! I was stuck on the side of the road with 2 young kids, a dog and car full of luggage and my husband was out of town! I started to panic and then realized, I could just call Brian at the Subaru Dealership which is where we purchased the vehicle. Less than 30 minutes later, we were being picked up by a wrecker and taken to the dealership where we treated like VIPs and I will be honest -- I am not a VIP! I greatly appreciated the effort they made to ensure my family and I were so well taken care of!!! Ironically, during all this mess with my car, we received a call from another dealership wanting our vehicle (2014 Nissan Pathfinder that Brian found for us). Apparently this make and model is in high demand at the moment and they were offering us a brand new car for the same car payment! My husband was certainly interested and who normally wouldnt be, BUT WE WERE NOT AND I WILL TELL YOU WHY!!! Brian Klie and his staff are amazing and I can promise you, that BRIAN and HIS CREW are the very reason we did not go to this dealership and make a trade for a newer car!! They did give us a run for our money but it really came down to one thing it was not Landers/McLarty Subaru (A Frank Williams Dealership) selling me the car and that is not a lie! He had a great deal, but to us, it was not about just buying a car, it was about being able to drive a car off the lot and know you are not going to be forgotten!! I know I can go nowhere else and be treated the way they have treated myself and my family and again, this is the Gods honest truth!!!! Plus, I want to hold out for the 2018 3 row Subaru SUV!! A big Thanks to Frank Williams and Brian for setting an example of its not just about the Sale it is about having a long-lasting relationship with the buyer. Jenni/North Al

I can say without any reservations that my experience with Landers McLarty Subaru was the best and easiest of any auto buying experience I've ever had, period! (specifically Brian Klie and Sarah McClellan). I should mention that I've now purchased 3 vehicles from them and each experience was as good as the last (2 brand new Forester Limited and 1 used 2015 Chevy Silverado). I am completely satisfied with the agreed upon deals of each car. I "bought" what I wanted, I wasn't "sold" a vehicle, if you know what I mean. No pressure sales what so ever.

Our salesperson, Heidi, was new very personable and professional. She listened to our concerns and needs in order to find us the right car for us. The previous owner of the vehicle we purchased did not turn in all the keys for the vehicle, so we requested an additional key and were told that we could purchase one for $300 and make an appointment to bring the car back to have a key programed, we were quite surprised by this. We have never purchased a car that only had one key. We usually have our car serviced at a private repair shop, because the dealership does not offer discounts or incentives for car owners to return for services. Although the customer service was very good, the delivery of the vehicle was weak. The car was not cleaned well and we only received one key. We did not feel as though our purchase was appreciated and like we had been rushed away without closure. We are happy with our vehicle and did receive what we felt was a good deal on our purchase. We have bought cars from Landers McLarty before and were impressed with the free additional services and the personal customer service follow up we received. Overall, our car purchase was a good experience and we will recommend Landers McLarty Subaru to others.

Jodie VanCronkhite and her internet sales team are spectacular. Recently my car was totaled by another driver and my wife and I were in need of a replacement ASAP. I have been looking at Subaru Foresters for a really long time and have been to Landers McLarty's lot several times. Finally bought one last month and couldn't be more delighted. Nathan Hudson has been extraordinarily helpful since the beginning of my search. I really appreciate his honesty, friendliness, and more important, his patience. I take a long, long time to make decisions and ask more questions than a 3 year old. Even after the sale, he is still answering questions. From the time we walked in til the time we left Nicholas & Brandon were awesome. Nicholas went above & beyond to get us financed when we didn't think we would be able to finance a bicycle but he did it & at the price & pymt we agreed on. Brandon finished the paperwork with us & was very entertaining, lol. In the Fall of 2015 I moved down here to Birmingham from East Lansing, MI. I brought with me my beloved 2015 WRX. I was pretty concerned about service, because my "home" dealer - Williams Subaru in Lansing (from whom we've bought 4 Subarus over the last 20 years) really sets the bar in terms of superlative sales and service. Searching online reviews, it quickly became clear that Landers McLarty was the place to go - even though it's a haul (90 mins; or 75 the way I drive!). This morning was my first trip up - to do an install of forged rims, an alignment, and oil/lube. They lived up to - and exceeded - both my expectations, and their online reputation. I was warmly greeted by Victor - the service manager - upon my arrival, and we chatted about Subies in general and WRX's in particular. They got my car in right away, and the work was done quickly and efficiently. I was appraised throughout the wait of the status, and they even offered me Starbucks! My car was washed, and the install was perfect. The mechanic who did the work came out and chatted me up - letting me know all that had been done, and everyone there was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They even left a water bottle in my cup holder with a little "Thank You" note! Ridiculous! These guys are LEGIT - and I ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend them to anyone who, like me, is FANATICAL about their Subies, and wishes only the best service treatment possible. Thanks Victor - and everyone!!! I look forward to visiting you folks again.

My experience with Landers was the first time I've ever walked out of a Subaru dealership completely screwed over.I brought an STi Limited in with issue dealing with this cold season- a faint power steering whine, the ignition not always catching first try, and a dead key fob battery. The dealership requires an appointment, so one was scheduled on a Thursday, 12/3, with Jordan Rodgers. I drop the car off at 7:35 AM , leaving with a rental car and a return date scheduled for the next day, Friday.Friday afternoon comes, and I've not heard anything since the day prior. I phone the dealership, speaking to Jordan Rodgers, who tells me that their technician has left at 12:00 and my vehicle won't be diagnosed until Monday. I express my concern about keeping a rental car over the weekend, as it's charged per-day. Jordan tells me not to worry, Landers will "eat the full cost of the rental." No worries then.The following Monday I get a call back from Jordan Rodgers with a $1400 invoice. It includes an o-ring in the power steering pump, a wheel bearing, and a set of new tires priced at $800. When describing my issues originally Jessica Mullins misunderstood what I meant by "power delivery not being smooth" and wrote down "the ride isn't smooth". After declining Lander's insanely priced and unnecessary set of tires Jordan Rodgers tells me that the cost of the rental car is no longer going to be covered. After a few minutes of discussion he offered to take $10 off each day of the rental, a far cry from it being completely covered (as per our discussion the previous Friday). I decline all repair except for the necessary fixes to the power steering.Later in the day I get a call saying that the technician has determined I need a power steering pump. They graciously offered this $200 part at $400 + Labor. I decline, and let them know I'm on the way to pick up my car.At the dealership I find Jordan Rodgers, who instructs me to wait while the car is "being washed." I cancel it, asking him to prep the paperwork so I can leave. A few minutes later he tells me that the car isn't actually being washed, but is out on a test drive so the tech can "see if you still have power steering." (??) A few minutes later out walks the technician, who let me know that he "tried a couple things" including installing a new O-Ring which "made it worse". He then installed the *original* O-ring, which has left the car with an alarming judder when turning the wheel along with a more sickly sounding power steering pump in need of now-immediate replacement. He then tells me the manager will get in contact with me so he can "do something about it."My final bill with Landers included multiple days of a rental car (which was supposedly covered), labor and part cost to install a new O-Ring that was *removed* from the vehicle, plus tax. This is on top of a vehicle in an exponentially worse state of repair.I sign the paperwork (a mistake), pay (mistake), and leave with the promise that the Manager would contact me to sort it out.After not hearing from the Manager I contact Subaru of America in hopes that they can resolve the issue. Days later I'm told by SoA that Landers would only agree to refund the cost of the o-ring and labor (for the part that isn't even in my vehicle), while leaving me paying for the privilege of driving around advertising for Landers in their tacky, branded rental.I implore you to bring your vehicle elsewhere for service.... I promise you it's worth driving a little extra to save yourself the headache of dealing with these people, especially considering they've hired questionably competent technicians who might not even be able to repair your vehicle's issue. At this point all I can do is my best to try and warn you- the potential customer- and hoping against hope the service department gets hit by space debris re-entering Earth's atmosphere. I'll update this review if I ever hear back from Landers, but honestly I'm more likely to read a story about space debris taking out a pain-in-the-xxx dealership.EDIT: I was contacted by Michael Mayer after posting this, who took care of the situation and refunded the cost of the service. He apparently wasn't even made aware of it until Landers was blasted on social media pages, so I think the takeaway is that the Internet is truly the great equalizer. After he was involved the situation was resolved quickly. I later took the Subaru to a trusted mechanic out of town. He diagnosed the issue as a faulty power steering pump, and also noted the bracket mounting the power steering pump was almost completely sheared off. I spoke with that mechanic as well as another from a local Subaru dealership regarding how this bracket could've been damaged, and they indicated this was from someone over-torquing the belt tension on the pump itself during troubleshooting.... a part which also needed to be replaced. I'll spare you my theory on how I think this happened.In short- take it or leave it; this was my experience with Landers.

So I now own my first Subaru!! A 2015 Forester Premium . I talked over the phone with Brandon Allen before driving 3 hours and 45 minutes to get my Forester , in the snow. I have to say it was really easy dealing with such a great Salesman. Got there he had the numbers ready and demonstrated the vehicle accessories .And after driving it home , this Subaru was Impressive. Handles the road like a dream, the interior is roomy and comfortable. I was thinking I would have a lot of road noise??? boy was I wrong , nice and quiet. The Sun/moon Roof is huge, I love it . I purchased a new Crosstrek from Lander's McLarty Subaru Hunstville, AL. The sales person who helped me, Mark Aguiar, made the whole process very easy. Mark was prompt in answering my questions, we were able to negotiate a good price quickly, and he followed up with a nice explanation of the car's features.There was a slight issue with an unexpected charge on the sales invoice. It would have been nice to get an verbal overview of all the charges that affected the final sales price, specifically the doc fee, as this was not pointed out to me while I was signing the paperwork. The process of signing the final paperwork seemed rushed to me and I wish Bill Ladd had taken more time to go over everything instead of just handing me papers to sign. I contacted sales manager Deonte Sutton about the doc fee and he was accommodating. I feel like the dealership should have been more up front about this even though overlooking the charge was technically my mistake. In the end they agreed to compensate me for the misunderstanding, so I have no complaints.

I worked directly with Brandon Evans who was beyond amazing. I had been involved in a serious car accident that resulted in totally my vehicle. We contacted Brandon Evans who sent us pictures of various vehicles that met our needs. Then rather than me having to come to the dealership, he brought the vehicle to us in Decatur to look at . He told us about the car and never tried at any time to hard sell us. We were so impressed with his professionalism and willingness to help us. We discussed a price and he worked with Brian Klie to get the vehicle at the price we wanted. Big Thank You to Brandon and Brian! After having such a great experience with them, we were unprepared for the experience we had with Bill Ladd in finance. We were very specific about the bank we wanted to work with but despite having a high credit score this bank offered us an 8.25% interest rate. We questioned this but he brushed it off and found a lower rate at 3.99% and I signed the paperwork which was Totally my mistake. After leaving dealership, we went to our original bank and there had been a problem and we really qualified for a 1.99%. The bank called Mr. Ladd and he said he would not run the original loan through to allow for financing with our bank. While at the bank the next day, Mr. Ladd sent paperwork that did not add up to the correct amount. When the loan officer called him to get additional information and to tell him that I had decided to go their extended warranty and their gap insurance, he went off on the phone to this young woman and told her that they had a signed contract and he would not void it and that I could refinance with them when the loan went thru. I spoke to him on the phone and it became very heated. I called the dealership and spoke to Josh Gregory who said he was aware of the situation, that he would change the loan to exactly what we wanted. He sent the information to the bank, I got the loan and saved almost $3000.00 by financing with my bank. I have never been treated so badly by someone in my life. Bill Ladd should be fired in my opinion. If you go to this dealership.....work with Brandon Evans (great), Brian Klie or Josh Gregory because they understand great service and are willing to go beyond expectations. But, avoid Bill Ladd at all costs. He is rude, offensive, and a liar.

Although most of the negotiation was done over the phone, Brian (Sales Manager) made himself available to discuss pricing as well as having the car taken to independent mechanic of our choosing for an inspection. After we found an issue during a personal inspection of the car, Al (our salesman) helped us troubleshoot the problem and came in twice when he wasn't scheduled to work to show us the car and eventually complete the sale. Since my car had stopped working I had no way to get to the dealership. My salesperson, Kimmi, was nice enough to offer to send a cab to pick me up at my house and bring me to dealership. I was very surprised that a salesperson would be so generous, but I took her up on her offer. She was so knowledgeable and friendly, I felt absolutely no pressure to buy. Josh, (the finance manager I think), was very helpful explaining the breakdown of the financing process. They showed my husband and I a car we never would have looked at, and got our monthly payment right where it needed to be. I felt like they genuinely cared about our needs and our budget, and found something that was perfect for us. We drove off the lot in the first and only car we looked at!I will definitely be purchasing my next car at Landers McLarty, and I would recommend your staff to anyone. Downsized from a minivan to a small SUV. Had a hard time finding a good deal here in the Midwest (everything out here is either super expensive or super high mileage since everything is so far apart) so I decided to check the used inventory back home in the Southeast. Found the RAV4 I ended up buying online at this dealership. Had my brother-in-law (who lives in Huntsville) go have a look and take a test drive. Turns out the RAV4 was everything it was supposed to be and we ended up deciding to buy it. Ironed out the details regarding purchase price, trade-in value, and financing OVER THE PHONE!Now, here's the interesting part: Sarah delivered the car to Kansas for free! I think there was some incentive for her to make such a deal, but regardless, she delivered the RAV4 from Huntsville, Alabama to Northeast Kansas on a weekend, at no additional charge! She drove the RAV4 here (about a 12 hour drive), and drove back in my trade-in. We did the deal at my dining room table. I know what you're thinking - "he must have paid way too much". Nope, I got a pretty awesome deal on the RAV4 (especially by Kansas standards) and an absolutely fair value for my trade-in (again, better than any offers I had gotten in Kansas). Believe me, I was skeptical, even thought it was a scam at first, but everything was absolutely legit. I've owned the RAV4 for several months now and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The RAV4 is perfect, exactly as advertised, and I am blown away with the level of customer service I received during the entire process.Don't buy a car in Kansas. Ever. Do buy a car in Huntsville... at this dealership... seriously.

I have purchased many new autos over a 35 year period, and I must say that Deonte Sutton is the BEST sales manager I have ever dealt with. I have purchased 3 new cars from Deonte, and I must say he is the best, and the reason I keep coming back. Deonte always done what he says he will do, and you can take his word to the bank. He is a top professional and runs a very professional customer oriented Sales Department. My only wish is that Denote could sell other brands of vehicles too, as Subaru is not the only brand my family drives.The salesman Dean Hartley was great too. I stopped by about 6 months ago and asked for a brochure on the Subaru Forester in 2014. Danny ran inside for me, as it was a very cold day and got one immediately. The whole process from initial contact via internet to on site sales experience was one of the 2 best car purchase experiences that we have had in our some 35 year experience of purchasing multiple new and used cars from dealerships. Adrian and Jody both listened to what we wanted in the car, made creative suggestions to satisfy our needs, and then Adrian worked up the sales package based on our description of our trade in and the features we wanted in either a late model used or new car. My experience at Subaru was EXCELLENT! Adrian was an outstanding salesman. He was professional, helpful, and a jack of all trade. He was all over the dealership performing multiple tasks from mechanic to detailing. He personally washed my vehicle, cleaned the engine and went as far as going to the gas station to put air in one of the tires that was low. I was on my way to purchase a different car, from a different dealership, and decided that I just wanted to look at the Suburu Outback before I paid. My mom and I looked up the local Suburu dealership, and headed out for a cursory overview. When we parked, Adrian Koby came out and greeted us, and was SO positive, even when I was snippy and fearful. I told him I was not here to buy a car, but wanted to look at an Outback, so he let me get my yacking out. Then, he revealed his genuine caring and knowledge. He asked me how I used my car, and what I really wanted (red, hot butt, and room for my dogs' crate). As he talked to me, I found myself sharing my difficult situation, both emotionally and financially, and he asked if he could show me other options that might work better for me. He spent time explaining what made Suburu unique, and what that might mean for me.We looked at several cars, and I found that the Forester really was better for my situation, and I agreed to a drive. Adrian When we got back, we asked for their "out the door" pricing, That is when we met Brian. He explained everything so clearly, that I felt completely at ease, and my every question was answered with honesty and transparency. I am a recently widowed woman, have a new job requiring travel, and need a reliable car with aftercare service, so he also explained the options for an extended warranty. Everything was detailed, and provided in writing. I felt safe and at ease with these two men, and they really changed my view of purchasing a vehicle. I drove my new Forester home that afternoon, confident that I had begun a new relationship with an honest and trustworthy team to take care of my transportation needs.

I wasn't really looking to buy a car. The car I purchased caught my eye while driving by. Adrian came out and we casually started talking. I was expecting the usual hard sell one would normally experience in that situation. He was friendly and took his time answering my questions. I even told him I was just looking. We visited Subaru on a random night right before the dealership closed and were greeted by a sales person who we now consider a friend, Sarah McClellan. Sarah never rushed us or pushed us one time. Honestly, we were not planning to buy a car at all but have had such bad experiences at another dealership right down the road that we were blown away by the genuine manner that Sarah displayed. Sarah sent us all of the information that we requested, via e-mail...she never pushed us to come inside or asked us to speak with a manager. When the time came to purchase the vehicle there was no secretive conversation behind closed doors, the sales team talked to us and explained their side of the business vs. ours. We ended up getting the best deal we could find anywhere within the Southeast...it wasn't that we negotiated some amazing price, it was that this dealership is full of honest, good hearted people who obviously need to make money (like any business) but don't try to rip you off in the process. I would refer anyone I know to this dealership...My husband has already been back to the dealership to get an accessory installed and the lady he met in the waiting room told him that she never has to wait to get her car serviced, that she also got the best deal in the Southeast when she purchased her Subaru, and that she has never received consistent customer service like she has at Landers McClarty dealership.If you want an amazing car, an amazing experience, and a place that won't try to get you in a car the second you learn their name, then you should give them a shot. The manager, Deonte is awesome and will shoot you straight with a big ol' smile on his face!Who knew buying a car could be enjoyable...It was truly a "fun" and enjoyable experience for my husband and I. He is not driving the car he has always wanted without the hassle of trying to haggle and beg our way into a fair price.

Buying a car from this dealership was a great experience from start to finish. At no point did we ever feel pressured to buy anything or rushed. We were in a hurry the first stop and just looking, Sarah Mcclellan realized this and did not try to force us inside or keep us at the dealership. When we wanted more information on the car she e-mailed it to us so we did not have to physically wait on it. The selling of the car was something like this "if you think this is a good time to buy a car and you want this one then we will help you, if you are not sure or want to wait that is ok and we would like to help you when you are ready if we have a car you are interested in". In the end my wife and I were very happy with the deal that we received. If you are looking for great service with no pressure this is a great dealership to visit. If you do your research and don't have unreasonable expectations then you will be very happy with this dealership. I have personally been researching online for a along time and was very happy with the out the door price and trade-in value I was given. I look forward to using this dealership for many years to come!

My Husband and I visited the Subaru dealership wanting to drive a Crosstrek. We were greeted by Sarah Mcclellan and she offered to show us around. She was so friendly and easy to work with. She let us drive the Crosstrek and then after spending a little time with us and hearing what we were looking for in a car, recommended that we also try driving a Forrester. This ended up being the best advice because in the end we decided to buy a Forrester. We loved it! Best of all, there was no pressure to buy. Sarah spent a long time with us, in the evening and even after hours, to let us look and poke around in several cars. She didn't seem hurried or bothered by our questions... and never once was there mention of 'let me get my sales manager' or 'what would it take to get you in a car today.' Honestly, my husband had long ago come to hate car dealerships for this very reason. But we were allowed to test drive what we wanted to and then were asked only for some contact information and were very politely allowed to leave without any kind of high pressure sales pitch. As we walked out, my husband said, "I could buy a car here." That's a HUGE compliment coming from him! I really do believe our experience that night, along with the quality and value of the Forrester, led us to come back and buy our new 2015 Forrester. The whole car-buying experience was wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about Sarah. She sent me a very nice email follow-up after our first visit and then bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with our purchasing experience... even surprising my husband with a Subaru license plate cover that he saw after the fact and really wanted for the car. Little touches like that make you feel like you are really being listened to and that people care. Also, I really appreciated the finance manager's attitude as we turned down extended warranties - again, no pressure applied to take those and make us feel bad if we didn't. It was all very professional and easy. It was nice to be taken out to see the service department and meet the employees there. Sarah also showed us all we needed to know about our new car. All in all, I would highly recommend this dealership as an excellent place to buy a new car. And I LOVE my new Subaru Forrester!!

They were able to get the exact 2014 BRZ limited that I wanted from another dealer and even gave me a lower price than the original dealer that the car was at! Brandon Allen is super dope, he makes sure that you get a warm Alabama welcome and will take care of you the whole way through buying a car. I didn't have to haggle prices, I gave them the price I wanted to pay and they gave me a lower price than I expected because I told them I was military. After several visits and emails with them, we got what we wanted and we were pleased with our deal. Dean, our sales person, was very kind, patient, knowledgeable, we went on several long test drives, he stayed over hours for us and even wiped dry the whole car for us on a cold rainy December Sunday evening. I have bought several vehicles in my life. Never have I been treated the way I was at this dealership. I couldn't test drive the car outside of a little driveway next to the dealership. My keys were needed to "check the VIN" which is viewable through the windshield. I was asked if the Sales Manager could drive my trade-in "through the parking lot for just a minute". I lost sight of him and he returned 5 minutes later. Why didn't you just ask to inspect the trade-in? The first offer to me was $6,000 over the price of the car on the website. After everything I was told there was no way to make a deal and these cars were never discounted. So I left only to be called back again because somehow my one of my keys that was needed to check my VIN had fallen off the D clamp. Funny, that's never happened. This dealer had 7 old models still on the lot. Every other dealer in a 100 mile radius had only one a piece. Well now it makes sense. A day or two later I drove home in my new car from another dealership. The difference between the two cars was $1,000. And to beat it all, I was already qualified for financing through a creditor when I walked in the door. What a sad, sad dealership.

We were in the market to trade in my smaller Mazda for a larger vehicle to accommodate our growing family and large dog. We did a lot of research for months prior to buying our Outback; then when the dealerships were offering great deals over the holidays there were only two cars in consideration, a Subaru and a Ford. We went to Subaru first for a test drive of the Outback and were very impressed with the handling, spaciousness and many of the features. Our sales agent, Dean Hartley, made us feel very comfortable. Although it is well known that their main goal is to sell we didn't feel pressured. The staff on a whole was very pleasant and helpful, the car was an excellent ride and when it came to financing with a trade-in, the Subaru dealership made sure we were well taken care of in a vehicle that not only we could afford but also suited us.

I am from Memphis but found Landers McLarty to be so superior in service and price to the dealership here that I was willing to travel a few hours to get my new car from Huntsville. Deonte made the whole process incredibly easy to deal with. He was fast and responsive without being pushy, and he offered me the best price I could find regionally on my Outback without forcing me into lots of negotiation. He went the extra mile in many ways: he took care of having leather seats installed, he sent my paperwork to me overnight and included a pre-paid envelope for me to return it to him, and he even had the car driven to Memphis for me at no charge. There were several cars on the lot at Landers McLarty with the color, trim level, and price point I specified. Because I was completing my lease transaction long-distance, Deonte chose my car. The car that arrived in Memphis had several extra small options (cargo cover, puddle lights, etc.), even though the lease price was the same as I was originally quoted. Most dealerships would have tried instead to sell the cheapest car for the most money they could get. As it turns out, throwing in all those little extras was a good investment, because as long as Im driving Subarus, Landers McLarty will have both my business and my enthusiastic recommendation to others.

In December 2013, I ordered & bought a new Subaru Forester after shopping around Huntsville, Nashville & Birmingham. The folks at all four dealerships were extremely helpful & attentive, but I finally chose Landers-McLarty in Huntsville. Mostly because, while the price between the 2 final places I was deciding between was pretty close, I felt like the folks in Huntsville would be the easiest to deal with long-term. And I plan to have this car a long time. I also like the fact they were NOT pushy, at all. They were available when I needed them, but did not make a nuisance of themselves. Also, when (after 4 months of shopping & test-drives & research) I was ready to buy, the folks were able to get the options I wanted installed in the vehilce I wanted very quickly & it was in the dealership in just over a month of ordering it. Very nice.While (thankfully) I haven't had the need for any major service yet, the service staff were quite efficient in getting the couple of little things I needed adjusted in the car upon delivery. (Installing the wind-scoop on the sun-roof & obtaining the front-tag holder plate.) Also nice!

Started my search on the internet! From my first email then follow up call from Conrad, to my 4th or 5th test drive, these guys are 1st class! I cannot say enough good things, and this page is not long enough if I could write it all out! So I will sum it up like this.I was treated with the greatest respect! Shown every courtesy, even my 6 year old grand-son was treated excellent. Conrad's first call to me! got me to make the drive! What a really super nice man, sorry I didn't get to meet him in person! Brian then followed up with another call to offer more assistance! Excellent! So made the one and half hour drive to there place, and I got a say, it was so worth it! Mr. Sutton went the extra 3 miles in making the buying experience a very pleasant one! Having purchased over 55 cars in the past, I have a broad range of experiences with which to compare. I found this vehicle on Autotrader.com. Went down to Landers McLarty Subaru to test drive the Jeep Liberty as advertised. One of their sales representatives, Al Hampton approached me in the lobby to see if I needed some assistance. He located the keys and escorted me to the vehicle that I found on Autotrader. He was very courteous and professional. At this point I had visited several other dealerships in my search for a vehicle for my daughter prior to going to Landers McLarty Subaru. My experience at this dealersthip was by far the most pleasant. The vehicle that I was interested in was very nice and clean. It was exactly what I was looking for. Mr. Hampton worked very hard to get close to a price that I felt was reasonable and fair. For anyone who reads my post I recommend that you give Al Hampton and the staff at Landers McLarty Subaru an opportunity to have your business. I will definitely use them again in any future car purchases.

Have bought two brand new vehicles from this dealer. The first vehicle unfortunately had some transmission issues that resulted in me trading it in. Michael Mayer in servicing was great walking me through the mechanical issues and making sure I understood everything. The sales team was awesome working with Subaru Corporate office to help me obtain trade-out assistance and helping me transition from a Forester to a Legacy. I leased a 2014 Subaru Outback from Landers McLarty Subaru and had a great experience. Dean and Deonte were my main contacts and they both went out of their way to get me at the price I wanted to be at and ensure I was completely satisfied. I'm an annoying customer and I know it, Deonte and I had about 70 emails back and forth with all of the questions I asked him. We worked out everything online so all I had to do was show up and sign for the vehicle. Actual time at the dealership was about an hour and a half and that included a detailed walk around and explanation of everything from Dean. Everything from their facility to the people that help you are there to ensure a great experience. I highly recommend Landers McLarty Subaru, they will work hard to make you happy without being pushy.

After two decades of avoiding car dealerships like the plague, I made an off hand comment to a friend about needing a truck....He encouraged to me contact a young man at Landers McLarty Subaru that he had recently purchased an auto from. My friend said this young man, Brandon Evans, would change my mind about car sales through dealerships. I contacted Mr.Evans and told him what I was searching for, it took him a couple of weeks, but he called me back with exactly what I wanted, he went out of his way to make certain the experience was a pleasant one and took very little time out my already busy life. When I decided more than a year later to add a Mini Cooper to my life I watched the Landers site until one that I felt fit the bill came along and again contacted Mr. Evans. I called him around 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning. I drove to the dealership from Decatur after we spoke, I was back home with new car in tow shortly past lunch time. Mr. Evans is both professional and personable and eager to work with any demand you have. He bent over backwards both purchases to make certain my personal demands on my time were taken into account. He is very direct and straightforward pointing out to me both pros and cons of both vehicle purchases I made. I never felt a high pressure sale being pushed down my throat. Just an honest young man eager to please his customer, both short term and for the long haul. During my last purchase he had several customers other than myself, he made certain that I was comfortable and checked on several times by his peers as I waited. Several of the several salesmen joined him as he handed over the car to me to help point out order of operations for lowering the convertible top, opening the trunk, removing the bike rack, each of them, all very knowledgable and very friendly and welcoming. Very refreshing indeed. Landers McLarty Subaru, I will be back!

This will be wonderful news for many: New car buying can be fun. . .even for women! We had already decided that we were going to get a 2014 Forester, and we knew the options and even the colors we would consider. We also knew the dealer cost. We just had to find the right dealership. I contacted dealers in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Brian Klie delivered! We made the deal in a series of e-mails in which he thoroughly and directly responded to all my questions and concerns. We really liked our local dealership and salesperson, but in the end we had to go with Landers McCarty and Brian for price, timeliness, and responsiveness.Although Brian offered to deliver the car, we decided to go to Huntsville to finalize the deal. Good thing too! We decided while there that we really needed a second, economical car, and Brian made a great offer on an Impreza on the spot. I drove home in a great little car! My partner had to wait a few weeks for her custom-built Forester. She says, by the way, that it's the first time she's ever had a car that was a "destination in itself."As sales manager, Brian supported his staff by assigning the finalizing of the sales to Nicholas, an affable young man who, while still learning the ropes, was pleasant to work with. The only criticism I could give of the dealership is that the preparation of the first vehicle was incomplete and imprecise. I reported this to Brian, who immediately took it up with the appropriate department. They got the second one right, and I'll bet subsequent vehicles have been prepped more carefully also.I have already referred friends to Brian and will continue to do so with confidence that they will be treated with respect, transparency, and fairness. What more could you want in a dealership and sales manager? Oh, yes--I'll add the assurance that it IS to have fun buying a car! It's possible when you don't feel that you have to be on the defensive when you walk into the showroom. R-E-S-P-E-C-T is the word!

Brian was very good about answering all my questions and explaining everything to me. He even delivered the vehicle to me out of state, at no extra charge. When I got the vehicle he and Jodie explained all of the features of the vehicle to me and made sure that I had no more questions. I was given a number that I could call them if I had any questions or problems in the future. I am very happy and will definitely come to them again in the future! I will also be recommending them to everyone I know who is looking for a new vehicle! I am very thankful for all their help!!!

I told Brandon that I was looking for a truck to haul my car and he got on the hunt immediately. Within a few days he had found several trucks that met my requirements. He emailed me pictures and spec sheets on each. A week later I was pulling off the lot in my 2008 Dodge Ram 3500. Brandon was very helpful from the beginning to the end and he has even followed up to make sure everything is ok. If I hear of anyone looking for a vehicle, I automatically tell them to give Brandon a call. This was by far the best buying experience that I have had with a vehicle.

I called about a 2011 Subaru Forester from the Internet description, as I had recently looked elsewhere at a 2010 model and had difficulty opening the lift gate. I was told over the phone that the latch was easier on the 2011 and vaguely, "hydraulic." I was double-teamed as I arrived on the lot by the manager and salesman; I could not open the lift gate, and should have left then, but liked the car and thought I could get by with just using the back seat, or folding it down. I asked the salesman on the test drive if the car had been traded in and he said yes. I asked if there would be a delivery fee and he said no. When we negotiated via phone he kept saying the car had only 10,000 miles, and I knew it had 11,900. When I bought the car, I was sent on my merry way with only one key, no remote for keyless entry, and no owner's manual. The salesman snagged a manual from another car for me, but I had to pay for a second key, and met with sarcastic resistance when I insisted the dealership pay for at least half of a remote. The only courteous, considerate, and professional person I dealt with was the young fellow in the service department who handled ordering the key and remote. I asked for a copy of the Car Fax two or three times and it was finally mailed to me. The car had come from Florida, and I was charged a delivery fee. It occurred to me that no one at the dealership knew jack about the car and it was only a "unit," a "product" to be moved off the lot asap. Customer satisfaction had been replaced with customer flim-flam. I am in the market for a 2014 Forester because of the power lift gate and will drive 300 miles away from Landers McClarty to find one.

I e-mailed the sales manager explaining in detail my disappointment and frustration with the car I had purchased, and after five days, I still haven't received a response from him. If you buy from this dealership, make sure you go over the sales numbers with a fine-toothed comb. They will throw in things like a $600 delivery fee, which means they didn't do anything to deserve that extra $600. They will increase the agreed-upon price by $50, hoping you won't notice. Their salespeople will SWEAR there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car you're purchasing, when in fact it probably has a multitude of problems, like mine did.Landers-McLarty has lost a customer for life. I hope you'll follow suit.
