Ordered a new key for my 2014 legacy (which was already over priced) $183.00 w/tax. Told it would be in the next day. Went in 2 days later, and was told I would have to have it programed and that would be another $50.00. I know that this charge can be dropped, but there was no mention of this. Having the nerve to charge a programming fee after the extraordinary price they charge and then not informing the customer at time of purchase is totally taking advantage of their customers. This is my second Subaru, but I think I'll go back to the Honda's after the crappy service they give.. By the way my old Subaru was running a bit hot, and They told me I would need to have the gaskets changed for approx. $1800. Brought some where else, after I had already bought a new Subaru and was told I only needed a thermostat. $100. later and the car is still running. They rip you off coming and going.

This is my 3rd car from them. so far, I've dealt with Kelle in internet sales and Jose and Steve in New car sales. They are all down to earth and honest. They actually listen to what you are looking for and help you make the right choice. I send a lot friends and family to them and everyone has had a great experience. I mean literally not one of the people I've sent have had a single issue and have been repeat customers after. Peter the owner is also awesome, he is always there and on the showroom floor helping people out. They also own a Ford dealership which I hear has the same great service and prices as the Subaru dealership.

Just went in to this dealership with financing already secured and was given the run around for almost 2 hours. Ran my credit regardless of having financing in place and their so called "heroes pricing" was non existent. I am a veteran of 3 times over of Iraq and Afghanistan who heard good things about them. The salesman whom I dealt with and the sales manager just kept the run around game going. Quite unhappy and will definitely add this review wherever I can

Let me start by saying that I don't leave reviews or fill out surveys in anyway but my experience with Mid Hudson Subaru has been amazing! I have bought many cars in my time and I have bought the last 2 from them and also from the same salesperson Patricia Stoutenburg. She is hands down the most knowledgeable, courtesy, professional and caring salesperson I ever met! She genuinely cares before and after the sale! Who would think you go into a car dealership today and the salemans talks you out of buying a car. Worst experience ever. Salesman told my wife and I that if we could get a WRX our insurance would go anywhere from $1000-$7000 dollars more. We told him what car we own and my wife is happy with but likes a Subaru, he suggested we should take advantage of the recent problems with the car manufacturing company and we might get a good deal on a new one there. He mentioned that Subaru and Audi have the true AWD and maybe we should look at Audi. We walked in looking for info and someone knowledgeable in Subaru but he didn't seem interested in helping us.BTW called insurance company and told them about the whole experience and the agent gave me a quote to replace my wife's car and the change would cost us $202 more a year. At the end of the quote the agent says "I don't know what he's talking about I have 2 Subaru's"

Waited 20 minutes for any service from anyone which is fine because there were a few people there. When someone did help me he never introduced himself and was in a huge rush just to get me in and out. Test drove a car while they were evaluating my car that I was trading in. Turns out they didn't even look at my car and just offered the bare minimum for it without seeing how good of condition my car was in. Offered me a very low value and never crunched numbers in front of me. He just came back with a number of what it would be per month, which was $100 more than anywhere else I went. Will never go back to this dealership and I would tell you the name of the associate if he had ever told me it.

We never owned a Subaru, but always were interested. We've owned many foreign cars over the years, the past three vehicles have been Toyota, and we were loyal to that brand. We decided to take the plunge and went out to Mid Hudson Subaru to look around and see what all the Subaru craze is about. We were warmly greeted by a Sales Consultant, Steve. From the start, you could tell this was going to be different. Nothing like the salespeople we've been accustomed to working with over the years. Steve showed a depth of knowledge, had a firm grasp on all brands, and understood what we needed. We have children, one that's going to be driving in about a year. He showed us many types of vehicles, but always pointed us towards a few types that met our "family" needs. No pressure, no nonsense. Subaru represents safety, quality, and a consistent stable brand. Steve demonstrated all of these values from a human perspective. We went back a few days later, picked out the car we wanted, designed it with the options we desired, and it was ordered (we had to special order for the various features we wanted). We were instructed on when to make the order and the timeline. We had to turn in our other car coming off a lease, so a coordinated timeline was crucial. The vehicle came in a few days before we needed to return our current lease - so we ended up turning our lease in early! We were so excited to get in our new Subaru! Mid-Hudson Subaru and their entire staff (starting with Steve, through Eddie in finance, etc.) was fantastic. Great experience and we highly recommend this dealership! Gotta go now, time to get driving.

Mr. Maher, I just completed the customer survey today but I wanted to take it one step further and reach out to you personally to let you know what an EXCEPTIONAL staff you have in Jose Sierra and Tommy Deluca. About 4 weeks ago I purchased a 2016 Limited Forester. I love my Subaru and know I made the right choice. I was previously a loyal Honda customer. I had purchased a new 2002 Honda (years ago) which was a reliable car and I was looking for the same reliability in the purchase of my next vehicle. Unfortunately Subaru was not on my radar until I touched bases with my cousin who had already purchased a Cross Trek from your dealership a few weeks prior to my purchase of the Forester.He has received outstanding customer service from both Jose and Tommy when he not only purchased his vehicle but also when he brought in his father-in-law, wife and son who all purchased Subarus from Mid-Hudson (and me now). Jose and Tommy as a team have both provided exceptional service which is why my cousin continues to bring customers to Mid-Hudson such as myself. I personally received outstanding service through the process from the selection of the right vehicle for me with no pressure, the great price, the interest rate and Im sure it will continue when I bring it in for maintenance. Your team exudes; Excellent customer service; friendly, kind, respectful and helpful. Great communication skills (keeping me looped in on the status of my vehicle and great communication with each other as a team). Confidence in their product because they genuinely believe in the product, that being Subaru vehicles. Integrity; honor their word and are genuinely honest when conducting business transactions. Transparency with transaction and status of vehicle. Go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Side note: I brought in my little 5lb feisty Chihuahua and everyone tried to love on him but he gets in stranger danger mode and they had to leave him alone but I totally appreciate the effort (loved the Subaru doggie bag holder). I appreciated Joses kind gestor of bringing my little Maximus water the multiple times I brought him in. That was another above and beyond act of kindness much appreciated. Mr. Maher both Jose and Tommy could open their own franchise of Subaru and be very successful at it because of everything they learned at Mid-Hudson. I dont know you personally but they say when employees are happy that means that the company and management must be doing something right because its reflective of the moral in the individual, work place and the customer service they provide. No organization is perfect but you must be doing something right. I truly hope that Jose and Tommy and the individual that was able to get me a lower finance rate (I dont want to forget him either, he was outstanding) can they in some way be compensated for their exceptional service because they truly deserve it!!! (My apologies I dont have the business card with his name in front of me but my records should reflect his name). Thanks for the seamless and drama free experience in purchasing my new vehicle at Mid-Hudson. Kudos to Tricia Stoutenburg, Never had such an enjoyable experience in buying a car. She was very attentive to our needs and quickly and professionally answered all our questions. She went out of her was to get the exact Forester we wanted, with all the items we specified very quickly. Upon delivery, Tricia spent much time to carefully and fully go over many different operating instructions to all the new innovations that came with our Forester. And also to Rob Bosch and his staff, who were able to fit us in with the installation of the pet barrier we has ordered, as we were going on a trip with our Greyhound and needed it for his safety. Quick service and complete instructions on the install and removal.

We had been shopping around for a car Checked Honda, Nissan, Toyota etc. Each time we walked into a dealership it was the same thing...Sleazy salesman that showed no concern for your needs. The minute we walked in to Mid-Hudson Subaru you felt a difference. We were greeted by the manager who asked us to be patient for a couple of minutes because they were jammed. He quickly got us a salesperson Patricia who was knowledgeable and patient and took time to see what we needed in a car.We bought a car that day. We got a fair deal and the service was outstanding. Love this dealership. I was shopping all day for a car. Went to Honda, Toyota, Nissan etc...came upon the same sleazy type sales people in all of them. The minute we walked into Mid-Hudson Subaru I noticed a difference in the way we were handled. No high pressure, they listened to what we wanted and actually steered us in the right direction. even though they didnt have the car in stock they said they would find it for us. they didnt just try to sell what they had. they found us the car we wanted and everything went great. Check this dealership out and you wont be sorry.

After totaling my prior vehicle, I was on a time crunch to find a replacement. I visited several dealerships in the local area, with no specific car or model in mind. I went into the dealership on a Saturday morning and met Bob, my Sales Consultant. The dealership had a very laid-back attitude and casual feel. I felt very comfortable in the dealership and discussing vehicles and models with Bob. Bob and Tom, Sales Manager, gave me a great price (best in the area) on the Subaru Legacy. Even though I decided a Subaru wasn't the right choice for me, Bob and Tom were! I enjoyed my experience in the dealership and smiled when I received Bob's "Thank You" card in the mail the following week.I will recommend Mid-Hudson Subaru and Bob to anyone seeking a new Subaru!!!

This is the second time I have been to Mid Hudson Subaru and boy what an experience. The first time I walked around for 10 minutes and no one greeted me so I went to another dealer and bought a car. The second time which was more recent I walk in and there is no one at the front desk, than a random man comes up to me and has me standing there until he can find a salesman. The salesman I had Steve was horrible. He did not explain anything about the car(s) I was interested in. I am not sure if he did not take me serious or not. He did not even ask me to test drive the car i was interested in. Also in the middle of our talking he spent 10 minutes with another women at a different table and left me sitting there at his desk. There was also no water/coffee offered to me at all. They low balled me on my trade in and he did nothing to help the situation he just said sorry and let me walk out. They underestimated me as I was ready to buy. Will never go back there again I will take my business somewhere else.

Cut a good deal with Rick who was intelligent, informed and just seemed like a decent person. The used car developed a brake issue 67 days after purchase. Warranty expired at 60 days. I asked for their service department to at least check the brakes for me (I wasn't asking for total free repair) and I hoped they would at least do a check given the time frame. Nope, on my own, unless I was up for paying for it! Technically, they were well within their rights to deny me as they did, BUT good customer service means going above and beyond sometimes just a little. I'm not asking for the farm here, just a little consideration. Long story short, we are now shopping for a new (maybe 2014 leftover) Forester for my wife and we won't be going to mid-Hudson Subaru.

A week ago I took my 09 Subaru Forrester cause the check engine light traction control lights came on it was serviced, no charge. It was the ignition coil and the spark plug wire. They said it was covered under the emissions warranty. A week later I was a few hundred miles away from home for work and the same lights came on again. So I had to stress the whole wknd about it and bring it back to the dealership again It was serviced again it was a different spark plug wire. It was fixed under the same warranty again. You should have just pulled me aside when I was waiting in the waiting room and said. Once one spark plug wire goes the rest would start to fail soon. That did not happenThats preventative maintenance! I understand that the failed parts were covered under the warranty I would have paid for the other 2 spark plug wires and had you put when you had my car in the shop. What happened was they just replaced one wire closed out the ticket. So the service rep said my car is no longer in the shop I have to go to the parts dept and get the parts then get another time to get it serviced. Then I was asking questions about the spark plug wires and seeing if the spark plug wires were cylinder specific which they were and I knew that but, I wanted to make sure. So, I can do the work my self and the rep said that they were not cylinder specific. Then a person walked by his name was Rob and he over herd the issue and helped me out answering my questions.I paid for my parts I left started to drive away and I was steaming and then I turned around and came back cause I had to voice my problems. I was livid and went back as soon as I walked back in Rob saw that I came back and asked can I help you. So I explained what went on and my issues and he addressed them immediately and made sure that I was completely satisfied with my service. If it wasn't for Rob this would have been my last visit to Mid hudson Subaru. I want to thank Rob for his help. He took that extra step and went beyond what he had to do.

Researched a few subarus on cars.com and found one at mid hudson, emailed them for the e price and no response,so I took a ride to mid hudson -it was during the week just a couple of customers ,took a while to find a salesman they didnt have the vehicle I wanted.The main point my salesman was pushing is the msrp of the vehicle .He said they wont discount anything "these cars sell themselves" also they were not even interested in my trade,all they wanted was a 500.00 deposit to find me what i wanted...So further research on cars.com found plenty of subarus available at discounted price in brewster and torrington connecticut..

I left the car at the dealer for a week after in forming the service Dept. that it was important to me to do some preventive maintenance before I take the car home. After leaving Subaru. ..... I find that simple things such as...... Anti freeze, tranny fluid, 4x4, were well 9ver due for change and had to be done.

When I researched buying a Subaru I was contacted by at least eight dealerships. Only two gave me actual quotes for the car and featured I was looking for. One of those quotes was for a car that was still in Japan and the dealer wanted me to purchase it over a month before it was available. The only dealership that gave me a clear quote, had the inventory, answered questions without trying to draw me in was Mid Hudson. Friendly, low key, good service. Painless purchase process.

I bought a 2012 Impreza Premium a few weeks ago from Michelle and have enjoyed every driving experience since. I was relocated in my job which now imposes a 2,300 mile monthly commute. Michele had just the vehicle in mind for me, taking care of details and putting me at ease on the day after an awful experience on the Taconic Parkway. With Jeff she secured a loan for me that was comfortable and at a better rate than what my own credit union offered. Thank you Peter, for hiring a wonderful staff. I will certainly be coming back! I recently leased a 2014 Forester Premium XT from Mid-Hudson Subaru. I had to travel 60 miles out of state to their dealership, because they were the only dealer that had the model I wanted. Correspondence through signing, I could not have asked for a better experience! I had no ride, and had to return my ending lease at Honda on the same day in order for this to work. Not only did I get the best quote, Michelle, Jeff, and Dawn made sure everything was perfect so I would not waste a trip. Michelle went above and beyond to assist with transportation from a Honda dealership 10 miles away, so I could complete both transactions. I am very grateful that the staff really helped make this happen. I cannot say enough good things about the service I received! Unfortunately, I am too far away to give them my maintenance business, but I would do my best to return for future vehicles because of the service I was given. Thanks again!

I normally don't write reviews, give feedback or take surveys but my experience with Mid Hudson Subaru was such a good one I felt obligated to share it. Overall I couldn't be happier with my recent WRX purchase from Mid Hudson Subaru. The owner Peter has done a fantastic job with hiring quality people to staff his dealership.They should be the bar set for every dealership but that is not the case making them stand out among the rest. My salesman was Justin Amundson and I can't thank him enough for working with me and getting me into the wrx with the accessories and at the price point I wanted. He was a true gentleman, respectful, down to earth, answered promptly to my calls/emails and definitely changed my view on what to expect when dealing with a car salesman. The general manager and finance manager gave me a great trade in value and got me a low interest rate. Some of the accessories I had wanted needed to be ordered and were at the dealership the very next day ready to be installed. When I went back to get the accessories installed I had a pleasant time dealing with the service and parts staff, who were friendly, courteous and polite getting me in and out. It would also be good to add that this dealership is over 100 miles and a 2 hr drive from my house but it was definitely worth the trip. The distance and time spent getting to them further proves how great of a dealership they are and its a shame there isn't more of them around. Thanks again.

This is hard to write. One dealer was great to me, and i honestly wish i stuck talking to him. When the second dealer came to me, he was jumping around, rushing me around everywhere. Taking phone calls while i was in the middle of asking questions He also wanted an explanation from me on everything. My personal life, my finances and why i chose the price range i chose is my business. Whatever i explain my reasonings for i expect that to be accepted, not told i am wrong and make no sense. The individual i was with and myself left the store. We felt not only rushed, overwhelmed, but upset with how i wound up bein treated. On top of that, i was pestered on the particular call later through a voicemail. While i understand a sales person is there to make a sale, i dont appreciate being overwhelmed with the same questions over and over again and that i am dead set wrong. To the gentleman that actually helped me, i wish him the best for his services and being an actual help.

I went to Mid Hudson with the intent of finding out whether or not I could purchase a new Subaru and trade in my Saturn. I reviewed the available cars and settled on a 2013 Crosstrek. My salesman Rick Davis was most helpful and helped me review my options and accommodated my terms for purchase. At no time ever did I feel as if I was pushed to purchase out of my comfort zone as other dealerships had done. I subsequently purchased some accessories that required installation and the Parts & Service departments were equally pleasant and accommodating. I never thought I would encounter a dealership as accommodating, friendly and trustworthy as my old Saturn dealership, but Mid Hudson exceeded my expectations. Kudos to the owner and staff - you rock! I love my new Subaru!

Justin and Jack were on top of every detail giving me the best possible price for both the trade in and the purchase. We inherited a big SUV which we were very grateful, but the first time I filled it up with gas, it cost $100! and I only got about 330 miles out of it! It is a great car, and we really wanted something that was good in bad weather, which it is, but the gas costs was incredible. So I crunched some numbers and since my husband and I each drive about 15,000 miles a year, an Impreza pays for itself. The big SUV gets about 8 miles per gallon and the impreza gets between 26 and 36 mpg. Plus all Subarus are great in bad weather so it was a no brainer. We will be selling the SUV The buying process at Mid Hudson Subaru was very friendly, no pressure and overall a great experience.

A heartfelt thanks to the great people that make Mid Hudson Subaru a truly uncommon automobile dealership. From the moment I decided to put Subaru on my short list of considerations in an all wheel drive car up to the day I took delivery I was impressed with this dealership. I turned in a 2011 Honda CRV lease and purchased a 2013 Outback wagon and I'm very happy I did. A day after I took delivery the owner Peter Maher called me personally to make sure that I was 100% satisfied with every aspect of my purchase. I thought that was a nice touch...after all what car dealer is going to actually make that kind of effort? If you're thinking its easy to call a happy new customer but this man probably never takes random calls you are wrong.. I called the dealer regarding a registration question weeks later and asked for him. The secretary never asked who I was, she simply transferred the call and Mr Maher pleasantly picked up the call. Amazing!

Just got my first Subaru , Mid Hudson Subaru made the process easy and pleasant ! I shopped other Subaru dealers with no success till I made an internet request that basicly suprised me , and I stopped by and finalized the deal . Everyone at the dealership was helpful and pleasant which made my decision easy ! I do hope my experience with service and parts goes just as well . Would definitely recommend Mid Hudson Subaru !!

I just purchased a new car from Mid Hudson Subaru and I am very satisfied with the experience. There are only a handful of 2012 WRX's left in the region and Mid Hudson had the color and trim I was looking for. After calling dealers all over the northeast, I got in touch with Michelle, who is Mid Hudon's internet sales manager. I was pleasantly surprised with Michelle's quote, especially since most of the dealers are asking up to $600 over(!) MSRP because of the supply shortage. Still, I was a little hesitant to set up a deal over the phone with a dealership that was three hours and two states away. In the course of looking for a new car, I came across a number of suspect dealers who will promise just about anything to get you in the door, so I didn't know if I'd be driving three hours only to be disappointed. I really liked the car and the price so I decided to roll the dice and go for it. I gave Michelle a deposit and she promised to hold the car for me. She also began working on my registration and financing so that everything would be ready to go before I drove out to NY. This turned out to be a lifesaver, because having recently moved, I needed to update my drivers license, my insurance and several dozen other things I'd slept on before the registration and financing could be processed. If Michelle hadn't been proactive about this, I would have been toast when I tried to pick up the car. Getting my house in order turned out to be a lot of work and aggravation (for both of us I'm sure), but Michelle handled it like a pro. She talked me through everything I needed to do and responded to dozens of my emails and phone calls. She even made herself available outside of business hours, which was definitely above and beyond the call of duty. When I finally got straightened out, I made the drive to pick up the car. Michelle gave me a very thorough run through on basic maintenance, service, features, etc. She went as far as to pair my cell phone with the car's bluetooth and set up my voice dialing and then made it clear that she would continue to be there if I needed to reach out for anything concerning my new car. I couldn't ask for more.It's also worth mentioning that my price break was likely because the car was traded out by another dealer and it had a few miles on it. This was a small concern, because you never know how the car had been driven during those first few but important miles. Fortunately, Jeff the finance manager recommended a great extended warranty package, which put my mind at ease. Jeff was also very professional and a real pleasure to work with. Also have to give daps to Dawn, who took care of my out of state registration and temporary plates.I'd classify myself as a a problem customer because of all the extra leg work the staff had to do to get my car financed and registered, and Mid Hudson delivered big time. Definitely glad I made the trip and I love my new WRX.

Note: This is where I purchased my last Subaru, 8 years ago (a less-than-fun experience). When I had contacted them a few weeks ago about possible test drives, I got a reply but it was pretty much, "we don't have what you're looking for". Then, when I was ready to buy, I asked for a price quote (via cars.com). While other dealerships were happy to go find what I was looking for, all they could say was "we don't have one". You'd think, in today's economy, a customer who's ready to buy might be worth a little effort, but apparently not to them.

I purchase new cars every 2 years. I like to experience different makes and models. I owned a Subaru 15 years ago and loved it. I decided to try it again. I went to Mid-Hudson Subaru and in all my car buying years I have never been treated with such respect, patience and good humor. I even met the owner and let me tell you - that is unusual. From the salespeople to the office staff everyone was friendly and helpful. I bought an 08 Legacy and LOVE it. I almost can't wait for 2 years to be up so I can go get another one ;)

Went to Mid Hudson Subaru for engine fluids refills and because the car kept turning to one side by itself. We where told a certain amount of time but where there an extra 45 minutes. The fluids change sounds good so far but my only negative is that they did an alignment on the car but did not rotate the tires so in effect the car still turns by itself although way less.
