They were rambunctious to say the least but James was really good with the kids and made us feel comfortable with all of the facts. I just purchased my Mini from Mini of Freeport and I can't begin to express how happy I am with my experience. From the moment I walked into the dealership everyone was friendly and attentive (but not pushy). They offered a comfortable family atmosphere. They were very busy but they always made sure we were taken care of while we walked the lot. James was great in assisting us around the lot. We were there for hours test driving and looking at several cars and asking all types of questions. They made sure we got our questions answered. They were so patient with us. Marcus was our superstar who helped us with the sale and even came in the next day, ON HIS DAY OFF, to make sure everything went well with the delivery. Talk about customer service! Richard and Prez were very helpful with the financing. Everything was quick and smooth and they made sure I got my excellent rate. They all made us feel like part of the family. I can't stop looking at my mini and smiling. Thank you Marcus, James and the rest of the team at Mini of Freeport!!! If you are looking for a new car, definitely go visit them.

I drew every time I come here for service because it is far away from my house in addition to the horrible service. I went in this past week for a service, I was told that it would be done in an hour, then someone says an hour and a half. I waited a full three hours and missed my morning meeting because of this. When I asked constantly to hurry they did nothing about it.

Ive been buying used cars (never had a new one) for 50 years. Ive had a large range of buying experiences. Last week I bought a used 2013 MINI Cooper Coupe JCW from MINI of Freeport. I can easily say this was the best purchasing experience I have ever had. Easy to find, bright, clean, comfortable dealership. Staff were uniformly positive and helpful. Not a hint of high pressure tactics. Comfortable customer lounge. More specifically in terms of personnel, Steve M (sales) handled the experience from start to finish with attentive competence. I had an engine warning light on (due to a loose oil filler cap). Before it was diagnosed Steve offered to meet me at the dealership on his day off -- a clear indicator of his customer service. Pres handled all of the paperwork for us quickly, skillfully and with a sense of humor. Thrilled about the purchase, I jumped in the car and drove home leaving all of the purchase documentation sitting somewhere in the dealership. I called the next day. Adena cheerfully tracked it down and mailed it to me. If all of that isnt enough for you Brittney would make the toughest customer glad they decided to buy their MINI here. Charming, knowledgeable, a true devotee to the marque she answered every question thoughtfully based on extensive experience. Since making this decision, Ive become more familiar with MINI owners devotion and the kind of community this automaker has created. These qualities seem distilled in this person. You will appreciate her expert assistance.

Marcus and Kelly made the impossible possible. I live in St James NY and drove to Freeport NY bc of their "can do" attitude. I love love love my mini and my next car and the car after that will be Mini Coopers! Really? You bet!They found what I wanted and they made it happen when other dealers couldn't. Marcus and Pres - you rock! on the beginning of the week, I called Marcus and challenge him to find me a good deal so I can lease a new Clubman. He call me with the offer i took without thinking twice. All was done over the phone , and e-mail communication. Today, i came in just to sign and pickup a car! I didn't have to kill all my day for this. Both Pres and Marcus were professionally awesome and spent adequate time to explain new functionalities and features. Excellent service! I have owned BMW's since 1989, both sedans and motor cycles. I have owned 2 mini coopers and had them serviced in Florida and LA. Mini of Freeport is by far the worst experience I have had out of any dealers ( other cars included Porsche, Lotus, Austin Martins and Saab).So far they have had my mni for almost 3 weeks without an update call- 2 calls to service manager not returned- general manager my call has not been returned, I am not certain why it takes 3 weeks to phone someone wit an update. Or why the loaner department would just call and ask me to bring the loaner in for an inspection- since I have no idea when my car would be ready.

The worst service I have ever experienced. The vehicle went in with minor issues and no service indicator lights. The vehicle was returned with major issues and several service lights on. They are running a scam. Steve in service couldn't have been less helpful. Avoid this dealership at all costs.

I have always serviced my car with Mini of Freeport Service/ Hassel BMW Mini Service since 2012. Service has always being horrible, but it was free so i dealt with it until now. They told me the entire braking system in the car needs to be replaced due to an outside fluid. My car was always serviced with them. Now Mini of Freeport Service wants $9,000.00 to fix my car. My ar is still covered under the warranty as per my paperwork, but now no one at the service department wants to be responsible for this and my only option is to pay $9,000.00 to fix a car with only 20 k miles on it. DO NOTUSE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY JUST WANT TO COLLECT YOUR MONEY. THEIR WARRANTY IS ALSO BS.

In order to attain an extra dollar they will throw you under the bus, and stiff you with high unjustified interest rates and bullcrap warranties. Instead of offering me gap insurance which would offer real protection they automatically refused it on my behalf and shoved down my throat a wheel and rum policy which the fiance manager threatened with either the warranty or a higher interest rate. Now 6 months later my car is totaled and I look to my contract and see that it was marked na, xxx come to find out it would have been a couple of hundred dollars now I'm screwed for at least 6k I will file a complaint with the courts.

I had been interested in a Mini Countryman for a while. However, it was Dennis Miniero who truly sold me on the car. He was easy to talk with, attentive, patient. Visiting the dealership, particularly with Dennis was comfortable. He was knowledgeable about cars, of course especially the car I was thinking of. Dennis made the experience of testing and buying seem simple and uncomplicated. His explanations were concise. Each time I went to the dealership I did not feel pounced upon. I would recommend Hassel Mini. Dennis is an asset to Hassel.

We highly recommend that you look for Dennis Miniero in this dealership. My wife and I had a very pleasant experience with him in obtaining our Countryman. We had been to several dealership but what distinguishes Hassel MINI is that they perform excellent and efficient customer service based on the customer preferences. The price that we got from our Countryman was the least expensive offer compared to other dealerships. This is one of the important reasons why we expedited our deal with him. In addition we did get several incentives from them.

BEWARE -- there is absolutely no professionalism at all from their service department to their sales managers. I have been nothing short of totured by the constant serviced needed on my vehicle. The issue recently reached a fever pitch in June 2013 when driving home from my service department I noticed that an employee had revised my personal email address to "f**** b****ataol.com. Astonished and completely insulted i contacted the General Manager as well as my sales rep. only to ask for my email address to be put back from the vile one i was assigned by their employee. Cut to Monday August 2013 & my attempt to make a service appt. only to be told by their appt taker that she would send me a confirm email for my appt to ....... the same email address I had begged for them to change back. Seriously 3 months later and the General Manager Mr. Messner couldn't even ensure that this insult would be revised and put back to my original email address. It is a sad company that does not care about theirs customers once they have your signature on a contract. I have been offered nothing - I have been barely given an explanation as to why it was left on my account after I made them aware in June. The rude staff then tried to chastise me for being angry ... not sure who HASSEL is kidding but if they continue to operate as they have .... I don't foresee many of the bad eggs being emplyed there being very successful. How would you feel if your daughter, your wife your mother was being called a f***b**ch by a reputable BMW dealership. Think long and hard before purchasing anything from them. You never know you, you child or your spouse may be next!Ohh & Hassel if you are reading this ... I gave you the opportunity (almost 3 months worth) to rectify and prove that I was a valued customer ..... you didn't do so ...nor did you even attempt to do so ....... PATHETIC!

I have been bringing in my Mini to Hassel MINI of Freeport since 2009. After this last experience I will be going elsewhere!!!First off they have a new loaner car policy that you cannot get them on the weekends. I work in Manhatten so this is very difficult since our weekends are very busy with the kids and we need two cars to get around. So we dropped off my car Wednesday night on June 5th which means I need to work from home, and luckily my company is pretty good about this. The mini advisor was not in so Steve Lagala a BMW advisor helped me. I mentioned several things that I needed evaluated like a loud noise when I first start up the car which I thouggt may be the muffler, brakes squeeking, passenger window squeeking, and two parts rattling on the inside (odomoter and other part near the garage door opener unit). By 3pm the following day I had still not heard anything so I called Steve. I called back twice more before finally getting through to him. He said that he was being moved all around and that's why he didnt get my call. He said that I needed new tires and gave me a price. He also mentioned that the noise I was hearing was a timing chain and that it would need to be replaced. I told him that I wanted to know if it was covered adn if not how much it would cost and he said he would call me back. It was now 6pm and I had still not heard back from him and they close at 7pm so I called him back only to find out he had gone home. Now due to not having a loaner this meant another day of working from home (needless to say work was not happy). Steve called me in the morning and told me it would cost $1600 to fix the timing chain. I told him I wanted a second opinion and that I would pick up the car. He asked what time and I said around 6pm because I had to wait for my wife to get off work. As luck would have it there was a bad storm and the roads were floaded so I could not pick up my car on Friday night. I went to pick up my car on Saturday morning and Steve was busy with another customer. Someone else assisted me and mentioned the timing belt. As I was looking over my paperwork at home I notice it mentioned my oil was at a escessively low level. I was astounded that neither Steve or the person I picked the car up from mentioned this. I was even more astounded that they had written that I refused getting the oil change done when I would never have done this. I called back and Steve was busy so I asked the receptionist to give him my cell to call me back as soon as he was done. Of course he never called back!I called back to speak with the mini representative Johnathan Medlin and he was not available so I left my name with the receptionist. No call back so I called again 2 hours later and asked to speak with the service manager. All of a sudden now the Mini advisor could speak with me. We discussed everything and I mentioned how I could not believe that a car that has 28K miles and is a 2009 is having a timing chain issue. I also mentioned the low oil and that I could not believe they would let me drive the car of the lot with excessively low oil. I also at this time had done research online to see that it is all over the internet chat rooms if you type in "mini clubman timing chain issue". He said that he was going to check on this and agreed that it should not be happening and that he was going to speak with the technition to see just how stretched the timing belt was. It is Monday at 1pm and I have still not heard back.

Own the car for aprox one year (Mini Cooper). I Drive aprox 150 miles per day to and from 2 jobs. Clutch blew on a pkwy also causing damage to the "FlyWheel". Car has aprox 28,000 miles and is warranteed to 36,000 miles. Warranty is not being honored and cost of reparis is deferred to me, the owner. Management was rude---"Do whatever you want, I don't care, and we want our car back today(loaner car)...or we can go get the car....manager invited me to come to the dealership to view for myself the degree of damage to the clutch and flywheel (what would I be looking at?). Invariably the manager hung up abruptly/short. J. Medlin (service Rep) would not pick up the phone until more than than twelve calls went unanswered, no return calls for messages left, said the clutch was under warranty and hours later retracted (via a phone call)explaining he had to talk with me relating to the mechanical issues of the vehicle and that it may not be covered given determination of "abuse/excessive wear and tear",and who is to blame for the mechanical issue. At one point Mr. Medlin exclaimed (judgementally, that once torn down for inspection, he would find out and be able to tell. His tone was accusatory and insulting.

Took our 2012 mini in for an inspection .service writer scanned the key F.O.B. and noted that there was a back up lamp out.. I mentioned that there was oil sweat around the oil fill cap which was on tight and asked if they would check it out. They in formed us that they needed to order the part and kept the car over night. My wife called the next day in the a.m. To check on the car and was informed that the part would arrive by 3:00 pm and that they would call when the car was ready.she also mentioned that she needed the car as soon as possible because she had a doctors appointment and they assured her that they would call when the car was ready. My wife ended up walking home from work, and canceling her appointment. They never called . I called the dealership around 3:00 and was informed that the part was in and that they would call my wife when the car could be picked up.i called my wife at 5:00 to see if she heard from hassel and she said she had not.I called the dealer and waited in hold 23 min and 39 seconds . finally i hung up and called again .i waited another 5 minutes to talk to my service adviser,who informed me that my part was in the parts room which was now closed. if i hadent called they never would have called and the car would have been there a 3rd day. It takes forever to get someone on the phone and no one ever calls back. I waited 30 minutes to talk to my service advisor upon pick up at 6:20(as if he were a heart surgeon) before I could pick up my wife's car then another 10 minutes for the valet to move the cars around to get to my car. Their service facility is located on a dead end street clogged with cars and tow trucks and delivery vehicles attempting to turn around while other patrons double park. This is my second mini from hassel. It will be my last Steve in sales is an absolute pleasure to deal with . It ends there. We asked when we dropped off the car a loaner car but were told that there is a two week advance booking required.maybe if I had a 7 series Beemer with M.D. plates my experience would have been different Avoid this place at all cost I won't even be going back for the free scheduled service ill drive 40 minutes and give Haberstead mini a visit. I waisted that much time waiting to talk to my advisor just to get my car outta there . You've been warned

I came looking for my first dream car and found it along with great customer service. Not only was I indecisive with whether or not I wanted the two sweater or four seater, I couldn't decide on a color! Steve was patient the whole time I was there. He answered my questions, all while not applying any pressure to buy. I left with such a great feeling that I would be taken care of that I put a hold on a car right there and then. When my company cut back on salary, I explained my situation and they worked it out for me to afford it along with the high New York City insurance prices. They even went above and beyond when I had to come the next day after purchasing the car for reasons beyond their control. No one gave me trouble or made me feel uncomfortable. Steve and Dennis were there the whole way and made it a fun experience, especially it being my first car. I plan on telling my friends about this establishment. This was definitely a no hassle experience at Hassel Mini!

hassel mini has been nothing but a big hassle..from the moment my wife and i stepped in..the lack of friendliness was noted..marcus mordan was our sales rep and had absolutely no enthusiasm at all..we finally got to test drive the 2012 mini cooper countryman after almost half an hour of waiting..then were told that they wanted to close early that day..within an hour or so (meanwhile it was only 3pm) i understand hurricane sandy affected a lot of people..but i originally had an appointment with them at 7:30pm and they had to tell me they were closing at 4pm that day? either way it was wrong..they could have told me before i decided to go in early at 2pm that they could not honor the 7:30pm appointment..what if i really went in at 7:30pm from queens and found out they closed early? after we sat down for paperwork..we were told the 0.9% was only until that day so we had to finish all paperwork that very day..so we did! (while the website still says today..more than one week later..that they still have 0.9% financing) we wanted a countryman with navigation but they had nothing in stock..so they had to swap with another dealership in PA..agreeing to that..we paid our down payment and signed the paperwork and left..marcus mordan said he would contact us by friday (two days later) about the PA dealer..by friday evening we heard nothing from him so we called and we were told to email him since that was the best way to reach him..and he simply replied by saying the PA dealer did not get back to him..so i said i would wait til the following monday..by monday we had to email him ourselves again to hear that the PA dealer swap manager was out until wednesday (marcus mordan never initated any email conversation despite his promises to keep us updated) so we were fine with waiting until wednesday..what else could we do..so wednesday all day marcus mordan of course did not write again..so by 6pm i wrote him and said since he did not get back to us we had to assume he did not get in touch with the PA dealer and we would like to cancel the transaction..today is thursday and he still has not replied..my wife called them up to find that only was he not in..his manager also was not available..and we would have to call back later! so as of now we have no idea what's going on with the whole thing while we paid the down payment already..we're on the verge of calling our cc company to cancel the transaction since they have been failing big time to meet our requests..my wife and i have been very disappointed and frustrated with hassel mini and just wanted to share this experience with you (and we still don't know what the outcome will be!)

I had done my research on-line so I knew what I wanted going in, but had a good number of questions anway. Marcus was extremely helpful and answered every question, he even demonstrated the features I was questioning on a car that they had in stock but was not the test (drive) vehicle. After the test drive I knew I wanted the car (All4 Countryman) but I did not feel pressured at all. I wanted to customize some options and Marcus went over my list carefully making sure each item was added. He gave me an expected delivery date and beleive it or not he nailed it to the exact date! In between he followed up with progress emails as my car was being built. Some may say this is standard, but this is the first time a dealer truly went out of their way to keep me notified. The day of pick-up I was again well prepared (the internet is great) for the dreaded talk with the sales manager and all the add ons. Anthony could not have been better, he very carefullly went over every item they offer in full detail and presented each option in writing so I could take my time and read through it.(again no dealer has done that before) I picked what I wanted and what I didn't want (no pressure on the no items at all) then he bundled them up in one price package so I could see it all in writing again. The most painles sales manager process ever. Marcus again was on hand to go over every feature of "my" Mini from top to bottom. I could not have been more satisifed with the overall experience.

I spent some time looking for a car and MINI was not my first option. I was interested in the car but was not really going to buy it. The experience in this dealership during my first visit changed my mind in less than half an hour. Great attitude, service, price... Whatever could be great, was that way! Not comparable to any other dealership I've ever been to. Hassel is nothing but a hassle. attempted to call the dealer for a service. after ringing for 3 mins someone picked up and put me on hold for another 3 mins. then transfered the call to some other location and then disconnected. tired to schedule an appointment online, no luck there. it said to call the no. if you need a loaner car. will attempt again later today.

Let me preface this by saying I'm an ex new car dealer. I sold my place in the 90's and turned consumer advocate. Anyone who asked me for help buying a car would be answered with the same response; "Lets go kick some dealer butt!" Most of what people hear is true, many dealerships find numerous ways to lie, cheat or manipulate more money from their customers. On the other hand, there is Hassel Mini. I've purchased my last 5 cars from a new car dealer friend of mine so going to a stranger at a dealership as "just a customer" was not something I looked forward to. I wanted a Mini and had no connections or favors I could call in. I was on my own. I met Chris Mayor the saleperson at Hassel. He seemed honest and more than willing to answer questions even though I made it quite clear I wasn't buying a car (you could say I was testing him). Chris went out of his way to answer my questions, research the obscure things I asked and let me take many of my friends for test drives on numerous occassions. This went on for months!To put it simply, I was a pain in the butt. I can't say enough good things about Hassel. I was treated very well from start to finish. Post delivery I've been handled with the same respect and attention I received prior to purchasing. The salesperson was truly a pleasure as was the entire staff. I know the car industry very well. This dealership and my salesperson are a cut above. Anything I write would not do justice to how well I was treated. Way to go guys (and gals)!!

I came in to look at the MINI Cooper. Stephen was really friendly and he answered all my questions. He then took me for a test drive. I then came back a few weeks later with my dad so he could take a look at the car and help me decide. During this time Stephen was quite patient as he didn't put much pressure but at the same time he followed up with me. I was then deciding whtether to get a stick shift or an automatic which took a bit of time to decide. Once i made my decision I came in and placed the order. Once the car came in I worked with Stephen over the phone and through email and got all the paperwork ready before the day i came to pick it up. When i came in everything went pretty smooth and the manager, Anthony, helped me with the paperwork and Stephen then explained all the different things i neeeded to know about the car and sent me off. Stephen was very friendly and patient. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Thanks Stephen!

I was in the market for a replacement vehicle from my 2008 528i...and I called around to a few dealers to see what they could offer me on a new lease... I wanted a 335 Covnvertible fully loaded... I called in to Hassel BMW and spoke with Sandy Stergiou she gave me a great price on loaded 335....Just the way I wanted it... No other dealership offered me the same car with those features at that price...The whole experience was great!!! Sandy was polite and curteous... Something most dealerships lack...My car was delivered within 2 days...Just as promised!

My overall experience was excellent. I am in the sales industry and the service world so i am extremely sensitive when it comes to dealing with sales people. Hassel Mini by all means was friendly, made me feel extremely comfortable being a woman coming in to buy a car by herself. I also did NOT feel as I was being pressured or sold. I trusted my sales person Chris along with his manager Danielle. They both worked with me to decide on leasing or financing along with meeting my financial requirements.I will definitely recommend this dealership to all of my clients who happen to be in the Medical Field. Therefore BMW is a very attractive car to the type of people I deal with on a daily basis.

Danielle worked pretty hard in finding the car that I eventually leased, and Christopher was very professional and courteous with the logistics. We were able to do everything via email which made it convenient for me. They always answered my questions promptly and I never got the impression they were trying to be anything but honest.

I needed a second car for my wife and Hassel Mini was the third Mini Cooper dealer I went to. Being from Brooklyn NY there are a number of dealerships closer to me. But the moment I went into Hassel it actualy was not a hassle. My salesman "Chris Mayor" was more than accomidating and NON PUSHY (very important to me). He answered all my question and allowed me and my wife to discuss the situation privately. He was extremely knowledgeable about the MINI Cooper. I explained to him what I was looking for and he showed me exactly what i asked for, without trying to push any of the other options that I would never have used nor needed. My next car will be purchased from Hassel Mini, actualy it was such a pleasant experience, I am considering trading in my used car for a new car. I will be recommending Hassel Mini Cooper to any of my friends that are in the market for a car.

I had a sticking roof since the end of last summer, I completely forgot about it over the winter and it reared it ugly head this spring. The week before Memorial Day my roof started clicking funny when I was operating it. The weather had been good that week so I left it open rather than having to fight it when trying to open it. That Wednesday evening I tried to close it and thats when it partially closed on the left side and that was it, locked and broken in place. I took my R56 S into Hassel for the broken roof, they are in the next town over from me. I went in as an emergency appt. on Thursday as the service advisor had suggested. They could not get the roof to close let alone fix it that day so I was scheduled for the next Monday, luckily I have a garage as things have been rainy in NY the last 30-45 days. Any how I brought the car back to Hassel as asked, no loaner as they want you to make a loaner appt. 3-4 weeks ahead. The reason I mention the no loaner is that the car is my primary and I was without a car for almost 2 days. I was called that the car was ready on Tuesday afternoon and picked it up that evening. After turning out of the dealership it was obvious the tech did not do the new roof install properly. There we screws on the floor, which the advisors assured me were extras, yeah right! And my tint was gone since it was a completely new roof and they didn't even bother to mention this. I called them the next day to let them know and see if I could come in right away. I was told they could not fit me in so I just scheduled an appt. for 3 weeks later, with loaner, and figured I'd have the general yearly maintenance done at that time too. I also find out that afternoon that the blue tooth mic was never plugged back in during the completion of the repair, oh yeah and the plastic front of my tach glass was scratched which I only noticed at weird lighting angles. I get the survey from BMW/MINI and I tell them how it happened. The advisors were cordial and friendly, the tech did not complete the job properly and failed to do a test drive to check his work or the items he removed during the work. I then get a follow up from Hassel's General Manager of Operations, Robert Portesy, wanting to know what had happened. So I told him the same.The day before my next appt., around 10AM, I get the automated call to make sure I was still in for the appt. At 5:30 PM that same day I get a call from someone at Hassel telling me my appt. is cancelled and they will not work on my car. WOW! That's a first for me! I called them back the next day to try and speak to Mr. Portesy to find out what was going on but he would not take my call nor return my call. I then called MINI customer service but they were of no help as they said they could not do anything to help me and that the dealers were not an area they can control. Again news to me.A few days later I call Habberstad to setup an appt. I was able to get one for a week later and it included a loaner. I worked with Jackie at Habberstad and she was great, super friendly asked all the right questions including had I been troubled by the cold start clatter. I also had to have the tip re-call done, general maintenance and of course the roof rattling. I also go the loaner :-) Jackie called me late that afternoon about my tire pressure to make sure I wanted it as high as I had it. Talk about being customer oriented! Anyhow the car was ready the next afternoon and they had fixed the roof, I'll get back to that in a minute. I also got the new timing assembly, chain tensioners, guides and sprockets. They did an oil change, new front brakes, general diagnostic (all clean) and a new cabin filter. As far as the roof went the tech said whoever did the work not only failed to install all the screws but the also left the seatbelt mechanism and the side curtain airbag loose. Talk about potential safety issues! So the tech buttoned everything up like it was all nice and new again :-)Moral of the story, steer clear of Hassel as they are a HASSLE! I found out they are owned by Group One, a dealer conglomerate that only cares about numbers and not its customers. Kudos to the team over at Habberstad from Jackie to the Techs as they really know how to treat customers. It finally looks like someone actually cares about MINI owners since MINI doesn't!

I was in for a repair on the defective moon roof of the 2007 Cooper S I lease. I picked up the car and noticed within a few blocks of the dealership that the roof had not been installed properly as it was rattling when I drove over bumps. The next day I also realized that the technician also failed to replace the electrical connector for the microphone for the blue tooth package and now I could not participate in hands-free phone calls due to the microphone not working. I also noticed about a week later that the technician also scratched the clear plastic face of the tachometer in front of the steering wheel. I scheduled another appointment as they refused to take it back right away. So I scheduled the appointment for about a month later, to include a loaner for my convenience. I was called at 5:40 PM the night before the appointment by Hassel to say they were refusing to repair the damage they had caused. The next nearest dealer is 25+ miles away one way and I'd have to wait another month to be able to get a loaner. I had dealings with all three Mini dealers on LI. One couldn't be bothered to look up and say "hello", let alone provide me with any type service - even car sales! The other contacted via a stereotypically negative car salesman (the snake oil variety). My dealings with Hassel Mini were professional and straight-forward from the start. From making an appointment for a test drive, to picking up the car I purchased, I felt I was dealing with people who like where they work, love the product they are selling, and apprciate the value of my time. I have not had to deal with the service department, but the dealership has given me no reason to expect anything but excellent service in that area as well. Love the car, loved the Hassel Mini experience!

Christopher Mayor located a car with all the options I requested, got it for me and we completed the transaction in under a week. I would not recommend the Hassel Service Department to my worst enemy. Jason Barach was rude and did not give any service at all. The Service Manager Jon Choe still has not returned any of my phone calls (4 days) and the Warranty Advisor (who did not introduce himself to me) was also rude. The minute Jason realized I woould only use the service department for warranty related issues (and would not line his pockets with commissions) he was disrespectful and demeaning. I am currently working with Mini USA to find resolution to my warranty issue. Since the dealership was sold by the Dell'Aquila family, the entire dealership has gone down the drain. It should go out of business.

I was railroaded by this dealership from the start. They couldn't find the problem with my car and they tried to say it was parts I put in. They forced me to take parts out of the car, which in my opinion is against Federal Law (Magnussen Moss Act) but they don't care because the New York DMV doesn't care about this federal Law. Hassel also made me pay for diagnosis which they quickly refunded after 30+ days because they know DMV will not do anything to them if they refund any moneys spent by the customer. No loaner either! MINI was no help either, last BMW/MINI product I ever buy!On a side note the sales manager Joe B is fantastic and if my blog doesn't stop you from buying a MINI then see him. Jason Barach gave superior customer care when I came in to the service center with my Mini Cooper. He was attentive and gave updates on the phone both before and after the work was completed on my car.
