I was shopping for a 2016 Mazda CX5 yesterday, and though I didn't end up buying it in Cleveland, Mike went over and above to try to earn my business. I called 5 dealers in Cleveland, and 8 in Chicago looking for a red GT editon for my 71 year old father, who also happens to be a huge Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs fan. I told each dealer that I didn't mind paying a little more for the car if they could throw in a couple tickets to any one of the World Series games. Unreasonable request, I know. Of the 13 dealerships I called, Montrose Mazda in Clevland was the only one that actually came through! Mike and his management team not only found extra tickets from one of the ladies that worked there, they put together a deal on the exact car I wanted at a price that was only $600 more than what I paid for that same car here in Indy. Unfortunately, I was 5 hours away and the game was scheduled to start in 3 hours. Most of the other dealerships scoffed at the request, or had a condescending sales manager call back to try to talk me into buying a car from them and then my own tickets. Slick salesman crap doesn't work any more gentlemen. The team at Montrose Mazda went to work that afternoon, and dug deep to earn my business. Within 5 hours from my initial call, those guys had the car, a good price, and WORLD SERIES TICKETS for me. I would have loved to been able to say that I paid $31,000 for game 2 tickets, and also ended up driving home in a great new car. Thanks you guys!!! And next time anyone I know buys a car, I am sending them straight to you!** This feedback was completely unsolicited, and I was not compensated in any way other than amazing customer service for this endorsement.

My visit to this dealership will forever feel like a nightmare. I called and inquired about leasing a new Mazda3 i Touring - something the salesperson claimed would be "easy" and "totally doable" with a credit score above 600. I scheduled an appointment, and arrived on time. However, when I got there, I was told to sit and wait. So wait I did! For what was almost 45 minutes.When I finally got to talk to someone, she gave off a very businesslike demeanor. Little in the way of polite chitchat, and immediately talking about how to finance a vehicle.After much ado, we finally got in a Mazda3 and test drove it. I noticed the salesperson was quite tense, and only allowed me to test drive the vehicle up and down the street. Our test drive took about 10 minutes, and I didn't have enough time to really take in the vehicle before I was shooed over to her desk to apply for financing with Mazda financial.This is where the real trouble began. Her initial claim about "easy cred acceptance" proved to be false. As it turns out, Mazda financial has a somewhat strict limit on who they finance to. This is understandable, but I was disappointed because I was led to believe it would be easy to lease this car.My sales representative told me not to worry. She claimed they had plenty of comparable cars available at a lower price because they were used. At this point I was expecting a certified pre-owned car, for instance one that was turned in as a lease. I agreed to have my credit checked one more time, and she went to retrieve the car.This process took nearly an hour, and when she finally came back, she rolled up in a 2012 Mazda3 GT. This car was not the color I wanted, and one generation behind the cars I was looking at. She urged me to test drive it, so I did. It was missing some of the key features I was looking for, including push-button start, and a back-up camera. I test drove it anyway, but this time she only allowed me to drive around the dealer lot. Once we were done with that, she wanted to show me the roomy trunk. I told her I had seen enough, but she opened the trunk anyway. I didn't say anything, and when she went to close the trunk, it didn't close again. The latch had broken right in front of us.When we got back inside, I asked her how much the car would cost. At this point we had been there nearly four hours, and I was getting impatient. She found a bank to approve the loan, and it was bad. The sticker price she was offering was double what the car was worth - and what's worse, the interest rate was atrocious. With $1,000 down and a 24% interest rate, the car would have been paid off in 72 months. In total, the car would have ended up costing $29,800. The car's KBB value at 120,000 miles was well below that, just $8,000. With all this information, I was able to put together why I was declined for credit: this dealership prices their cars for much more than they're worth. Avoid this dealership like the plague. You will regret going here, you will regret buying a car here, and they will try to make a fool out of you.

What a horrible place to buy a car. Problem after problem with my purchase and recently found out I was overcharged for my car. ANOTHER PROBLEM! I purchased the car for 15 put down 7, but somehow I owe over 13? Hmm you do the math! Ive been calling the dealership every day but ironically NO ONE is available to speak with me and I'm always transferred to the Finance Center only to talk to you guessed it NO ONE! I can't tell you how many times I've called, left messages and still Im paying for this car that I do not owe that amount and my payment is way higher than promised!! Read our first issue from the comment and reviews my wife Hannah Bartram left! Guess i'll be calling my lawyer AGAIN and the Better Business Bureau since once again I'm getting spat on by this awful company. NEVER PURCHASE A CAR HERE!!! They stack extra money on your car purchases and sign you up for coverage you did not want! WARNING!!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! We sat in this dealership for over 6 hours and put $7,000 down on a car. The financing took forever and we were finally cleared to go. That week we were relocating to SC and weeks after arriving we got a call from the bank they financed us through and told us they couldn't finance the car and we shouldn't have been told so!! So here we are moved to SC and have an option to either pay the car off OR loose the car along with some of the down payment for 'milage.' We called and our MANAGER representative screamed and threatened my husband over the phone! What a poor place to purchase a car.

This is our second purchase from Montrose Mazda in the past year. My daughter was hit by another car and the insurance decided to total her 1999 Saturn with only 40,000 mile on it. Needless to say we were in a scramble to find he a car quickly and with one simple text to Don Blake he was in search of a car with similar mileage. Don came through for us again finding a car within 24 hours with similar mileage and a great price!! He is definitely the sales guy to work with if you are looking for a car.

I just purchased a new CX-5 from Montrose Mazda, and the experience was awful. My wife and I had already test-driven the car a few weeks ago, and we made an appointment with our salesperson to come in and purchase the vehicle. Despite having an appointment, we had to wait an hour just to talk to the salesperson. When he finally got around to us, we found that he would only speak with us for a few minutes at a time. He would periodically interrupt the conversation to go take care of some 'urgent' matter that would take 5-10 minutes each time. In this way we wasted another 45 minutes talking about possible financing options, even though we told him we had our own financing and were really not interested in financing through the dealer.After being in the dealership for close to two hours, we finally got around to talking about the actual price of the car. This involved the usual nonsense with fake invoice prices, and several more 5-10 minute breaks for our salesperson to 'talk with the manager'. We ultimately agreed on a price, and then were told we'd have to wait on the financing department to complete the purchase. The salesperson said the financing person would be with us in an hour, which seemed ridiculous given how long we'd already been there. We ended up waiting 2 more hours for the financing person! During this time we were completely ignored, and our salesperson was nowhere to be found. At no point did anyone explain why we were waiting so long, or how much longer the wait would be.Finally, we completed the financing, and then waited another 20 minutes for the salesperson to show up and put the temporary tag on the car and give us the keys. I love my new car, but I am furious that I ended up giving my business to this awful dealership. I will not be setting foot in that place ever again.TL;DR - The customer service is awful. It took 4 1/2 hours to buy a car. Avoid Montose Mazda at all costs.

Paul and Matt took great care of me and really looked out for my best interests. I had a very poor experience over at Mazda of Bedford and expected the same here.... man was I wrong! They really put their prospective buyers first. I felt they had my best interests in mind and I have never felt that with the car buying experience before. Matt and Paul are really great at what they do and just great people in general. I will recommend all my friends and family buy her and I hope I never have to go anywhere else when buying a car. I'm 19 years old and decided to being looking for my first car. My mom and I went on a used car hunt, and were sadly unimpressed with most of what we had seen. So we decided to stop into Montrose Mazda on Brookpark Road to see if they had any used vehicles for me. We were approached by Kyle, and not only was he extremely friendly, he convinced me within a matter of about 40 minutes to seriously consider leasing rather than buying. 3 days later, we were back in to finalize a deal on a lease. Kyle was so helpful and made sure that I got everything I wanted in my first car. He made the process pretty stress free and easy. I have had my car for a week now and couldn't he happier with my decision. I would recommend Kyle to anyone, he made my experience the best it could be!

After $20k purchase of one of their certified vehicles I had to take it back 3 separate time to get it repaired with . After 3rd time they told me that they will not be fixing it any more and to basically take a hike.The vehicle has full year warranty that this place don't even honor. Do not buy vehicles from this bad dealership. They say its certified but frankly all they do is check fluids and put the car on a lot.Sales manager and service manager are both crooks.Stay away from this place.

He was both knowledgeable and patient when explaining the features of the car, and Sales Manager, Phil Stadalsky gave me an amazing deal! Went shopping at montrose. Got set up with Jeff James. Because I'm young. Mr Jeff James attempted to pressure us into making a decision on a car he wanted us to buy. During the process he told us repeatedly how he ran dealerships for years and how he was the best salesman . Frankly my wife and I were not impressed by him or the cars he showed us. The word rough and tacky describe Mr James and the cars shown . Why waste time at this dealer? Alot of good customer focused dealers out there. I tried to approach the 'boss" Kyle pisanee about my concerns and he smirked and told me that he sells "tons" of cars and we should just leave. He was snide and fake. We have a right to shop and look at other cars and dealers! Because of the unprofessional behavior we won't ever go to Montrose again

I bought a car Nov 8 2015 from montrose Mazda on brook park road. Kyle yarian was salesman. Only thing good is the car! These guys ripped me off on trade and tried to convince me I heard other wise. They continue to talk in circle as if it's their first day! I tried to communicate my displeasure to Phil sales manager and found him to be less qualified to handle my situation. I'm not sure how he is a manager of a establish car dealership. I wouldn't let this team manage a fishing trip with a group of friends. If you are buying a car, and want a fair deal than go else where. Truly the biggest mistake I made last year was buying a car from this dealership. Never again!!!!!!!!

Stay away from these guys! Bought a car with multiple issues and tried getting dealership to help with the repairs. All I got was an email saying sorry you bought the car as is. The car had a cracked transmission, the rear engine mount was blown out, and all bolts were missing out of it. Multiple exhaust hangers were missing and the exhaust would hit the ground when going over a bump. Easier to stay away and buy a car somewhere else!

I decided that I wanted to purchase a Mazda 6, so I called a few dealers for quotes. One dealer never called me back and the other dealer basically tried to sell the car for MSRP. When I talked to Don Blake it was like he actually wanted to sell me a car. We ended up doing most of our deal by email, my choice. Don worked everything out for me over the course of quit a few emails.When I went in to finalize the deal everything was all set and ready to go. Everything was exactly like Don said so there was no surprises. I am very happy with my new Mazda 6 and couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism that I received from Don and everyone else at Montrose Mazda.

I had to get a car because mine decided we should part ways when it died at the Walmart next door. I walked over and talked with Seth, I was very upset and didn't know what to do. He showed me a few cars and went over different payment options that were available to me. He even handled my dead car next door! I can't thank him enough for having the patience and understanding he did with how upset I was. Now I have a car that starts everytime!

Just wanted to write a quick note about the great experience I had at Montrose Mazda. I have been looking for a car for a while and finally found one I liked at their used car lot. I was met by Seth, told him the car I was interested and he let me take it to my mechanic to have it looked at. He was not high pressure, and even helped me with the minor details that my mechanic brought to my attention. I love the car, and am very grateful to Seth and everyone else at Montrose that made my experience great!

When I called Montrose, they told me they could put me in a car and they did! They worked out terms I could live with and left that day with our truck. My sales rep, Morgan, was true to her word and fixed the issues I requested. Our 2012 GMC Terrain is one of the best vehicles we've ever purchased. Trying to get my credit back up, I decided to follow a friends advice and go to Montrose. I was greeted right away by Michael Frey and we started the process. I am in the midst of moving and have very little cash to put down, and my car was just repossessed. I was sure Mr Frey was going to just throw me out. I am glad that I was wrong. Within 20 minutes, he was showing me a car-a 2012 Ford- that would work for me with no money down. A test drive of the car, a few minutes with Adam in finance, and I was driving home. Thank you for taking a chance on me!!!! I will be back in 3 years to get a NEW car.

My wife and I went to purchase a 2015 Mazda 5 on Sunday 10/12/15. We asked the salesman to show us two Mazda 5s on the lot. Both new cars had dead batteries. We saw our salesman walk through the showroom with jumper cables. It should have been a clue to both of us that the picture of the Mazda 5 we liked had snow and there were no leaves on the trees. We visited Montrose Mazda in early October. What are the odds that both new mazda5s had dead batteries and would not start. This shows a lack of even routine maintenance for there new cars. How hard would it be to start the cars even once a week. Avoid Montrose and go to a reputable dealer.

I scheduled to come see a used Mini Cooper for sale at Montrose in Cleveland from Pittsburgh. I had a certain Mini Cooper in mind as far as the features, mileage, year I wanted, and although far away, the car at Montrose met my specifications the best. Jeff J knew about 1 week in advance of the date my husband and I were coming out to see it. We noticed several things "off" with the car at the test drive, notably, the key fob did not work, and there was no dipstick to check the oil. We were told, "mail me the bill for that dipstick". The car was also fitlhy, despite, as mentioned, our arrival to see and most likely buy this car were known well in advance of our arrival. Jeff rushed us through my husband's further inspection of the vehicle after the test drive, saying, "you want to get in to see finance before it gets too busy here. You have a long trip home". We were ushered in to see the finance guy, Adam, and although nice, he was waaaaay fast for us. We purchased a warranty which ended up being useless, as the car had so much wrong with it mechanically. When we took it to get inspected, the warranty did not cover anything that needed repaired because all the problems it had were 'too far pre-existing from our car purchase'. Thus, we ended up selling this Mini within 5 weeks of purchase at Montrose because it was not worth it to but the great amount of money into the repairs required to have it meet PA inspection standards, after what we already paid for the car and the after-market warranty. 2 calls and 2 emails to the Sales Manager, Brandon Mcguiness, have been unanswered for almost 2 months. Other things wrong with this car that we discovered once at home:There was no manual for the carThe air filter was filthy and needed replacedThe carbin air box was dirty and needed replacedThe passenger door lock did not workThe car did indeed need an oil change and a new oil drain plug (and the new dipsick)And the kicker - the care had less than 1/4 tank of gas when we pulled out of the dealership!Since we came with the intent of likely buying this particular car, you think the service dept would have at least looked at it. It is blatantly obvious that no service was done to this car at all.Also so dissapointed that I have had no return correspondence from the Sales Manager. That is very poor customer service. I did detail in my emails to the manager the costs I had to pay for the things that should have been done at Montrose - the filters and oil, etc - but to no avail.Buying beware here.

I hate making serious commitments to any huge purchase because I am terrified I'll have buyers remorse, but when I came into this dealership and was able to talk to my sales representative, Kaytee I felt so comfortable with buying a new car. I feel like she listened to my "must haves" and always had a suggestion. She was very informative, polite and patient with me the whole day. I seriously cannot wait to take my 2016 CX 5 for a road trip! I got lucky and did not know how great Kaytee was, but highly suggest everyone to personally ask for Kaytee because my experience was phenomenal !!

I literally bumped into Seth on the lot. So hard that change flew out of my pockets! After a few tense moments of staring at my loose change, Seth greeted me with a warm, albeit lingering handshake. I told him I was new to the car buying experience and he looked me deep in the eyes and said "You're gonna learn today!" We sat down at his desk and he asked me all the right questions. The only couple I found odd were. 'How much change was that in your pocket" and "where do you normally park at night." He was very personable through the whole experience (although his fly was down the whole time LOL!) I also met his boss Brandon. He reminded me of an older Ricky Martin but was very friendly as well. Would do business with again!

I sensed when I made the turn into the beautiful W Side auto campus I was at home. I parked my car and walked into the busy showroom. I looked around and from across the showroom a salesman and i locked eyes. Seth Calig introduced himself and actually listened to my wants needs aND desires. I am SO very impressed with his kindness, patience and good looks. We found a car and went for a ride.The smell of stale cigarette smoke lingered in the air as we went on a demo drive down brookpark rd. Seth was jovial,informative, and super cute. I will never forget the "gifts" he gave to me on that rainy June evening. I met Phil and Billy after our "demo", and they seemed .....eh.....ok.....i guess We priced the car did the paperwork. Adam the finance guy was so slow but kinda nice. He seemed to be fairly anxious (probably because of all the empty redbulls by his desk) Seth did an amazing thorough delivery, in and out! I will always have a "friend" at Montrose.

I recently purchased a mazda miada from Megan at montrose. She told me she was new, the only thing I noticed is that she knew what she was talking about. She work diligently and hard there were a few bumps in the roads with my financing, and she walked me through it and never lost her cool. Lemons. Just a bag of lemons and they don't care.Bought a 2011 Mazda3, 5 speed, 56k miles on it, CERTIFIED. I even paid an additional $2000 for an extended warranty through a 3rd party. Within 3 months I noticed that the car was almost stalling when in neutral, RPMs going down to nearly 500, and began having difficulties going into 1st and reverse. Took it to the dealership, was 1000mi (61,256) over warranty and the 3rd party doesn't cover the clutch. So, I had to spend $1000 to have the clutch replaced and flywheel resurfaced. The car was still grinding going into 2nd and sticking in 1st and reverse much worse than before. Spent another $100+ on getting the hydraulics for the clutch replaced as they said it was leaking. Not even a week later I had to take it back AGAIN because of the same issue! What I failed to mention until now is that they charge you $115+tax JUST TO LOOK AT THE LEMON THEY SOLD YOU. I'm sorry but having a car for THREE months, you should get some customer service skills together and at least look at the car before demanding money. The car is in their shop now so who knows what's going to happen but considering this is the 3rd visit to the shop in the 7 months that I've owned the car and ALL for the same issue, I'm done. I honestly believe at this point that their mechanics have absolutely no idea what they are doing. They are not sure what they are even looking at when they certify a vehicle and thus any warranty from this place is worthless. Even if I end up in small claims court over this, I really don't care. For the last 4 months I've been making car payments and renting cars, it's UNACCEPTABLE.

This was our first of 3 planned stops on our specific make and model hunt ( 2012 Audi A4 )James put the dealers plates on our car, my wife asked ok James sell me this car he said "well its an Audi"We test drove the car, i pulled over into a parking lot so we can take a look at the engine, when i opened the hood i discovered that the plastic engine cover was missing and the engine was very dirty. Engine was also making a farm tractor like noise. I recorded the video of the engine and engine noise and headed back to the dealer.We found James i told him what i found and showed him the video so he can hear the weird engine noise, he said "oh wow, i will take it to the mechanics to take a look". Since they didn't have any more cars that we were interested in we headed out, on the way out we saw another couple test driving that same car that James said will go to the shop.

in January I bought a 09 Mazda 6, from this dealer. The dealer had to do work to the car before I could take it. They dropped car off to me the next day. The car had a broken fog light cover when I got it. So I called the dealer back they told me they ordered the part to fix it. I took the car back to get it repaired, they glued fog light cover back in. Took it back manger asked if I would bring it back when the weather was better so he could look at it. Went back talked to the used Car Manager (Kyle Pisani), he told me he would have there painter put clear glue over it. Last time I checked glue doesn't hold a fog light in. The manger was very rude arrogant person. Told me that's how the other one was in there, and it was that or nothing. If the staff has to deal with him on a daily basis, I feel bad for them. He shouldn't be treating anyone the way he treated me. Should be an fired employee of montrose mazda. Side note the sales people were very good people Rick Gamiere finance manger and Norm Sales did a great job.

I went to the used car "outpost", and had already researched the vehicle I was interested in online, through CarFax, Edmunds, KBB, and NADA. The sales manager handed me off to a salesman, who accompanied me on a test drive. The car checked out, and when we got back to the lot, I quicjly noticed the office was more of a "buy here, pay here" auto reseller. That should have been my que to leave. I explained to the salesman, that I had my bank financing all approved and did not want to entertain any offers from their lenders. We put out my print outs from my pricing sources, and the sales manager got in on the sale and stated "we buy and sell cars, Edmunds doesn't". Well, that's all good and fine, but Edmunds takes what other people have paid for the same vehicle, mileage, equipment etc, and gives you pricing. I played along, till he pulled out NADA, which is the industries pricing guide-not what anyone is paying, it's what the industry WANTS people to pay. I explained that if he wasn't willing to consider what others paid (Edmunds), why should I care about NADA? I told him we were too far apart on prices and I wasn't going to waste his time or mine any further. The salesman then asked for all my contact info to work up a better price. I have no problem giving my contact information, but it's not anything you need to counter my i total offer. I walked out.

December 5th 2014 My Tribute was in for a recall for excessive corrosion. January 4 2015, while driving with my 1 yr who sits in the rear passenger seat my wheel well split along the weld line due to excessive corrosion. My shock tower was exposed and my frame is now junk. Mazda did not seem to think it was important to inform me of this life threatening issue. When I called the service desk the first time I was told its my problem not theres. Horrible Customer Service

We bought our Mazda 6 from Montrose Mazda couple of months ago. While signing up the deal sales person and finance person did excellent job to show all bells and whistles for my new car. One of them was loyalty reward program worth of $299. Which offers $750 worth of service cheques, discounts on accessories, Free oil change and 1 year refferdia.com websites membership. But I haven't got anything apart from first free oil change (which all dealers and all car providers offer). After writing lots of emails, making lots of phone calls and left voice mails no reply from Montrose Mazda. and at one point I got reply from the sales guy who sold me the vehicle that they have stopped doing reward program now and it's not available on their website any more (this was around month ago) but it is still available on their site as normal. Just so they don't have to answer my questions they replied me something like this.Even as of today no replies of phone calls or voice mails or of emails.So please everyone who is buying their next dream vehicle from Montrose.. BEWARE..........

We originally came for a Mazda 6 but couldn't get approved for that. We had a great salesman named Michael Frey who was patient and very helpful. He took his time to show us every option we had as far as what we could get financed for. He was very patient with us in our decision despite our long and hard decision. He even gave us advice on what would be our best option. As far as purchasing a car, it has been quite an extensive journey for me due to errors that I created with my credit when I was younger. Going into dealerships for me was at times embarrassing and bittersweet with the hopes of being able to drive away with a new car but, in the end always turned down. Well, that all changed with one simple phone call to Mr. Don Blake! Our phone conversation was brief and to the point and I decided to take another shot at buying a car. I arrived with everything that Don told me to bring and before I knew it we were down to business. We both came up with a plan that was reasonable not only for me but, one that actually gave me a chance at getting an approval from the banks. Before I knew Mr. Blake informed me of the good news that I would be driving home in a new car. If anyone is in need of a second chance go to Montrose Mazda of Cleveland and see Don Blake. The process will be well worth it all the way up to when you sit down in the Finance Department with Adam and as you are driving off the lot in your new car!!! Good luck and happy car buying : )

I purchased a new 2011 Mazda 3 a few years back and opted to include the "Platinum Service Program". The finance guy did a nice presentation of the program on his laminated sheet with what was included. With this program I picked up reduced oil change prices, preferred service levels and free tires for life. On my first oil change, I waited three hours and did not have the same good service when I purchased the car. I opted to have the oil changes done at a local quick change place. For the last three years I have had the car checked for fluids, tire wear, and alignment, just not at Montrose Mazda. I recently went into the service department now that the car has 50,000 miles and the first thing the service manager did was pull out a very handy sheet with the details of the program pointing out the highlighted statement saying if all the service required in the manual was not done on time and by their dealership, the contract was void. Shame on me for not reading the fine print which I question if it was on the presentation materials, I am sure it was not spoken by the guy selling the program. It was just a rude experience from the service department. I emailed the general manager, he has not replied.

I bought my Mazda 5 from Montrose Mazda on Brookpark. I should have known that I'd be in trouble from the beginning. The sales man helped the finance man fill out paper work bc they were slow. When my husband tried to sign the papers, there were a lot of mix ups resulting in a pain in the butt signing procedure for my husband. They had to call me to ask what we agreed on several times. James the salesman and the finance guy denied that James did any paperwork. I bought the tires for life program. I put the miles on. It sounded good...at the time. When I went in for my first oil change/check up, the service department people were okay. Not the friendliest, but professional enough. The mechanics however, would give the service department people "looks". Looks that said, the customers are a pain today. I don't want to do what they're asking. Not just one mechanic, there were 3 to be exact the first day. I just hoped that they weren't working on my car. Second time in, I had a bent rim. They put it on the front. I had to go back and get it in on the back bc the front end shook. No biggie. It is what it is. Fast forward to the third time I came in. They put the wheel on the front again. I asked after I paid. The service worker asked the mechanic. He gave that look like he wasn't going to do it. I told him it would shake and I'm not leaving until it's on the back. Plus they had to move it to the back last time I was in and they said they would make a note of it. The service person made a note of it and the mechanic moved the tire to the back. I went back a couple of other times for routine maintenance. It was all uneventful until the last time.I went in and needed some more expensive maintenance done. Okay, whatever, I'll pay it. They can do it. It was a part of the tires for life program. I needed new tires anyways at that point. Oh wait, I needed tires the time before, but somehow my tires gained tread between three checkups ago and two checkups ago. So, back to the present...I needed new tires, cabin filter, air filter, transmission fluid changed in addition to the usual oil change and rotation. They hand wrote the estimate. I verbally reviewed it with the service person. She said yes, that's correct. When I went to check out, it was $100 more than we had said. Her 1 next to the 7 combination looked like a sloppy 7 to me and she verbally agreed to it when I read it out loud. But nope, I had to pay the extra $100. But this is where the messed up story is just beginning.I took my car home. Didn't turn on the fan bc it was a nice day. Turned the fan on the next day for my defroster bc it was raining. Fan didn't go on. I thought they just forgot to hook something back up, right. I took it in. They checked it. Everything was hooked back up the right way they said. They said it may be the blower motor. AND that they would need $150 to know for sure. I said I don't have $150 and I believe they messed something up when they were in there yesterday. Sol, the new service guy said that he would see what they could do. So he said they would check it out for no cost. He came back an hour later (bc Mazdas are designed by college students, you know, try to cram as much as they can into one little space as possible) and said it was the blower motor. Said nothing about checking the resistor. Just that it was the blower motor. And that it was $675 at the minimum to replace. I said I don't have "a minimum of $675". I didn't have $150. The car is 4000 miles out of warranty. I asked him what he was going to do about it. He said it's out of warranty, there's nothing he can do. I said, if you stand behind you product, you will find something to do. He said that he would call the company. The company offered me a 50% deal bc I was 50% out of warranty. I asked if he was sure it was the blower motor and nothing else. He said yes. I asked if he could give me a cap on the price. He said no and that it took a long time to get to the blower motor and that was most of the charge, and what if something else was wrong. So not cap. I asked if they did something when they replaced all of my filters and asked if he was going to charge me for their mistakes. He said there was nothing that they could have done to mess up the blower motor. I didn't take their "deal" I didn't trust them.I took my car to a shop that my family has been using for generations. They took out the motor blower and hooked it up to some voltage. Guess what... you know, I don't have to tell you. The motor blower works. It's not the blower motor. So, I called up my old lying service buddy Sol. He remembered me. I told him what happened. He said he stands by his teams' diagnosis. I told him he was standing by the wrong diagnosis and asked what he was going to do about it bc to replace a resistor has a lot less labor involved. He said he did his part and offered me a deal. I asked how a wrong diagnosis is doing his part. I told him to think of something bc I'm going to have the shop that it's at now look through the parts behind the dash to see if his team did screw something else up. Good old Sol said that he's standing by his diagnosis and deal and won't be able to do anything else about it. I am taking names and numbers of good lawyers. I will gladly be a part of a class action suit if there are any others going on as well.

This the second car I bought from this dealership (first was back in 06). Don was extremely knowledgable about the Mazdas--e.g. the difference between the Touring class, the Sports model, etc. I felt comfortable in working with him. What I REALLY appreciated was that we were in and out in 2 hours. We made our decision, agreed on price, went through financing (the Finance guy was a hoot), and drove away with a new car. I don't have the time to spend a whole day in a dealership and told him up front--no games please, just give me the bottom line. He did.

I was hunting for a hatchback and worked with several dealerships in my quest for an affordable dream car. Montrose's facility was neat and clean (something worth considering if you plan to work with a dealership for your car care/maintenance), the people were friendly, and the sales team was not pushy or aggressive. The salesperson I worked with, Tim Miller, was informative and patient. The management and finance department were friendly and helpful. I got Kelley Blue Book value for my trade in. It was an overall very positive experience, which is saying a lot because I hate the process of buying a car. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

We stopped in Montrose Mazda after looking at cars on and off for about 2 yrs. I am 6'4" and found that I didn't fit comfortably in most of the new cars in my price range. Combining that with a list of options my wife and I wanted (and didn't want) meant that when we thought we found a car we liked we first needed to go and sit in one see if I fit. We had started to dread going to to a dealer because as much as we explained up front our delema if there was any hint that we were interested in the caar we had a hard time escaping with any dignaty. On one occasion we sat down to discuss price only to find that the only car a dealer could find was our third choice of colors so is that really still the right car? If we would give them a down payment they could search for the actuall color we wanted.At Montrose Mazda the salesman who helped us, Matt Radeff, listened our story and then hustled to get the car we wanted to see and left us alone for a while. Then he asked us some questions about things we wanted and needed on the car and even suggested a lower priced model than the one we were looking at! We took the cheaper one for a ride and told him we would need to go home and decide if we liked it. He asked us to meet his manager beforewe left which is another place we usually were turned off by other dealers. The manager was friendly and just said "hi" and thanks for coming in. Two days later we decided we needed to bring one home to see if our son's harp would fit in the car, a Mazda 5. They had no problem letting us take one home for a few hours which was nice. When my wife picked it up they discussed a lower price we saw for the same car on their website. When we took it back we had decided we would buy it if Matt gave us the price we expected with an advertised finance discount (minus the military discount which we did not qualify for). There was no hard sell or our multiple trips to the manager. Matt did a great job of keeping things moving despite it being lunch break for the finance department. There always seems to be some trouble when making a purchase of this scale but this went better than any other car purchase I have made.

I recently went to the 2013 Cleveland Auto show, and found a few SUV's that I was interested in purchasing. One of these was the Mazda CX-5. I went to Montrose, and from the time I walked in and told them how I was considering a Mazda and some others, they did not push me into buying a car from them. They were very courteous and answered all of my questions without trying to brag about their brand over any other car brand. They let me test drive the car to get a better idea of its capabilities, and I could not have been treated any better by any car dealership. I am very happy with this dealership, and look forward to possibly buying from them in the future.

I went to this dealership to trade my vehicle in to purchase a new car well basically they try to rip me off on the price of my trade in when I check the Blue Book value for my trade in before I even came to the dealership they wanted to just told me some change for my trade in a vehicle plus they wanted me to put down I extremely large down payment then she gave me the runaround about will the reason why were giving you such a low amount for your trade in is because we're gonna have to put new tires on your car and do a check a thorough check or something but tires don't cost that much so I won't recommend this dealership to anybody.

I could not be happier with my recent purchase of a used Volvo XC90 from Montrose! From beginning to end it was the simplest car purchase I've ever made. The dealership is located a couple hours away from me so Steve Fialkowski, the salesperson, had all of the paperwork overnighted to me to save some time. Steve answered all of my questions promptly (and I had plenty of them!) and gave me a very fair price for my trade. Not once did I have to hear the standard "let me check with my boss" that's so common at other dealerships. I would definitely recommend Montrose!

When I met with Miss Neubert, she was extremely helpful and friendly. She provided wonderful service and excellent customer service. I was very happy with my experiences at Montrose Mazda as I searched for my perfect car. I mostly dealt with a Salesman named Steve, and he took the time to really listen and was attentive to what I was looking for. When what he thought was the perfect car rolled onto the lot he called me up that day. And he was right,it was the perfect car that I had been looking for! They worked with me to give me what I was looking for in my trade-in, and the financial department was very helpful and patient with me as I had many questions about all the details. I am very satisfied with my experience at Montrose Mazda. I would recommend this dealership to my friends and family and plan on returning down the line when its time for my next car purchase.

My experience with Montrose Mazda of Cleveland wishes to be more pleasant. First when we came no one came up to greet us. Then one salesman finally got up and offered his help. The salesman (Justin) was very professional and helpful, but we got in some trouble with the finance person (Robyn). First of all she wouldn't call as she promised, then she wouldn't disclose any financial information until very last minute. And at the end she sold us an additional coverage not telling the true price of it. So my advise to those who has to deal with Montrose Mazda of Cleveland: do not buy there if you can or at least avoid financing through them.

They swent this scratch n win flyer.. It said if the numbers match horizontally/vertically u win prize. I got the horizontal one. When i called they talked very nicely n called me there. I had a surgery 2 weeks ago and was not in a condition to drive but still i went there in hot sun jus b'cos the flyer said all big big prizes. When i went there the salesman first took all my details about present car, its payment amount, my income etc..i was not ready to get another car. Then he said he woulf find abt the prize n came back n told me that i won nothing...when the flyer said clearly abt the prizes and the conditions..Its just a sales strategy , fooling people with flyers , getting them to come there and then gather their information n send them back..My time n gas money is lost?

I greatly appreciate the very knowledgeable car description that was presented out on the lot in 90+ temperatures, during an intricate vehicle inspection, and the overall enthusiasm of the salesman. He was an amazing advocate on my behalf in the purchasing process. My adopted "Dad" came with me, and the salesman attended to all of his questions and comments.The sales manager really made the purchasing process possible. Am privileged to have met him. After doing my homework on the car I wanted, I knew the price I was willing to pay. This dealer came 2nd closest to my price, but refused to budge on the documentation fees of $250 plus wanted to add additional costs for title and registration. This was ultimately the deal breaker for me.Buyers beware: Documentation fees of do NOT have to be the state maximum. Documentation fees should include the cost of paperwork to register the car, financing, etc. per the attorney generals office. The state of Ohio puts a cap on how much a dealership can charge for "documentation fees" which is currently $250. Get quotes from various dealers and you will quickly see that documentation fees are simply extra income for the dealers. Do not pay the max.
