I just moved to MD, so it was my first visit to this Kia dealer and it was delightful. The first (lovely to talk to) woman helped me get a fast appointment because my trunk latch was broken and the guy who took care of my car at the service center was also great. They got my car done really fast and returned it with a fresh vacuum job. All in all a great experience!

Had to set appointment to resolve recall issues. Customer service was great in terms of setting appointment. I was told that it would only take a few hours and it did. Made appt. One week advance to have door handle replaced. Went for appt. They took the car, I waited 3 hrs and NO One spoke with me. They kept saying wait, someone will. They never ordered the part but never told me. Gave me loaner, it is now Wednesday, no return call. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. BE WARNED.

As soon as the brand new 2017 Sportage hit the streets, I came to Nationwide Kia looking for a specific color and options. My salesman, Eugene Drayton, was very patient during my search process, and checked in with me regularly. When the right one arrived, Eugene invited me back to the dealership, and allowed the car to sell itself. Sales manager Doug Lamkin sealed the deal with a great offer. He even let me sleep on it, no pressure whatsoever. Three weeks in, I'm thrilled with my new 2017 Sportage SX Turbo. And I'm getting far better highway mileage than the sticker would have predicted, an added bonus!

I have dealt with a LOT of car dealerships during the course of my adult life, and have had experiences that range all over the spectrum -- from "absolute nightmares" to "it couldn't have been easier". My recent experience at Nationwide KIA in Lutherville was at the very highest end of the positive spectrum. Doug Lamkin (who was personally involved throughout the entire process) and his team are top notch people. From my initial internet inquiry with Christine Treptow through finance and delivery of my new 2016 KIA Optima, I experienced absolutely professional service and dealt with people who were friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. Mark Kim was the sales consultant who Doug had me work with, and he could not have been any easier to deal with. Cordial, polite, attentive, and very customer focused. I am glad to see Doug Lamkin back and running the show at Nationwide KIA -- I have dealt with him previously, and he is a straight shooter and super easy to work with. Take it from me, who never writes reviews, and I mean this sincerely -- if you or anyone you know is looking at KIA, make sure they check out Nationwide KIA in Lutherville. A+ in my book!!!

I took my Kia to this service center due to an emissions warranty issue. I was quoted almost $400 to fix a filter and a gas cap. I said no way. Turns out my evap canister was cracked and that part was a $300 part. Kia lied and tried to charge me to recoup their money/labor for a warranty covered item. I refused, and took my car to Jones. My car is being repaired - under warranty - at no charge. I've also been unsuccessful in getting a refund for my diagnostic test from Nationwide. HORRIBLE service center. I will never go there again.

I'm a military service member and I put an inquiry in through USAA that I was looking for a pretty specific new Kia Sorento in a specific color and with certain features. Anyways, because this dealership was so far from my home, they sent me a very accurate price quote and breakdown of expenses through email prior to me coming. They knew I had a complicated trade in and they worked even harder on that with me so that I could break even on it and could get into a much better car at a much lower payment. The purchase contact was exactly how I expected it to be and there were never any surprises. They even told me to come in on a specific day because they were adding an additional rebate to their vehicles that dropped my monthly payment down about 10$ a month. Anyways, between Allen, Marc, Eugene and Christine, this was the most pleasant and easy car buying experience I have ever been too. Honest guys looking to do good business, I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I have been to the service center in Timonium several times. Each visit has been a true pleasure. The waiting time is usually very short and all staff are courteous and knowledgable. All needs are addressed and each customer is informed of all aspects of the service being rendered. My experience with my service consultant ( Ms. Carter) was excellent. I knew exactly what to expect, approximately how long the wait would be and escorted to the waiting room. This type of service will keep me coming back..

Nationwide Kia in Timonium, Maryland requested that I bring my car in because of a manufacturer's recall. I arrived on Monday morning on 11/16/2015. I was greeted by Mr. Brandon Rupert (Service Advisor). He was enthusiastic, confident and self assured. What I liked the most about him was that he was very friendly and willing to make my visit to Nationwide Kia, a wonderful customer experience. He arranged a ride back to my home after he informed me that the service for my car would take between 4 to 6 hours. He guided me to the central building, where there is a waiting room with free WIFI. My wait time for the ride back home was minimal. Later in the day after 5pm, Brandon called me to be picked up from home to come back to the dealership. The driver was very friendly and customer service oriented as well. Riding back to the dealership was a joy because of the driver's wit, charm, and intelligent conversation. The driver's name is james or as he likes to be referred to as, Jimbo. Great customer service by these two great gentlemen! Great Nationwide Kia experience!

When I made the appointment I was not told that the work would take 4 hours. When I took the car in to the dealer I expected to wait for the completion of the work. The service department employee who registered my car at the beginning of the appointment was outstanding. I need help to pair my new phones with the car radio system and he did it for me and showed me the process so that I could pair my husband's phone. The service department employee who handled my car during the service was pleasant and gave me a coupon for a discount on my next service. The day after my service, I received two coupons in the mail and I contacted the service department and they agreed to allow me to use both of them on my next visit, The point I am trying to make is that Nationwide Kia is truly interested in having a satisfied and happy customer.

The only one piece of feedback is that my car needed a new air filter. No one called me to ask if I wanted it replaced while the car was in the garage. What was written on my report was the following: Observations: Found air filter excessively dirty. Had someone called, I would have said, "Replace it." I did call Chris after I got my car back and he kindly offered for me to come back in next week and he'll take care of it for me. He was super nice, and hence why I gave all 5 stars above for being satisfied. In the future, I would like to be called when something is found to be wrong with my car, so that it can be fixed right then, versus me needing to take off from work again to drive my car back to the garage.Even with the above small issue, this is by far the best dealership I have ever experienced when buying a new car. And the service of free oil changes is amazing. Thank you.

i WAS VERY PLEASED WITH NATIONWIDE KIA EXCEPT A DEAD CELL BATTERY THAT HAD A 24 MONTH GUARANTEE, BUT AFTER 26 months and only 12.436 MILES THEY COULD NOT MAKE AN EXCEPTION, SO I PURCHASED A NEW ONE FOR MY 2010 SEDDONA WHICH I PURCHASED NEW AND PAID CASH FOR, THAT'S RIGHT CASH. I MADE COMPLAINTES TO "CUSTOMER CAR'E' A FEW TIMES, AND HAD WRITTEN A LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF KIA, WITH NO REPSPONCE, THAT'S WHY I ONLY GO BACK FOR THE FREE FOR LIFE OIL CHANGES AND FREE TIRE ROTATIONS. THATS' WHY I WILL NEVER BY ANOTHER KIA.

I had my KIA sorento serviced at Nationwide and have to say it was a great example of what customer service is supposed to be. I had the regular service, an alignment and replacement of front brakes. I was also in for a sound that I was hearing in the rear of the car. Since it was difficult to describe, the technician offered to drive with me so I could show him. The guy that wrote up my invoice was extremely polite and professional. He took the time to explain the repairs I needed and also to discuss a few maintenance items that I will need to have on my next visit so I can plan for the time and expense. overall great experience. couldn't ask for better.

Our service representative even gave us a coupon for a free car wash just around the corner from the service location....that was nice! This company is discriminating against a women by holding my warranty refund from me. I called to cancel the warranty in January which they did not due. A couple months later, I follow up and they want to cancel at the later date. Even though I told them multiple times that I have left messages in January to cancel this and return pro-rated refund. I am still battling this because I got a call from a Kathy who told me she would make this right, she is sorry and she swears up and down that she will return my call. I never got that call and assume she spoke with the owner...John Shapher or Shaffer (something along those lines), who in return told her not to deal with me. I have left messages for him as well. If that is not discrimination, I don't know what is. I have a witness by me at all times when I call them, months of call logs and paper work. I asked a month ago for them to simply send me my warranty paperwork and never received it to this date.

Nationwide Kia had the best reviews of all, and I had driven a SOUL before so I decided to go there.I got in contact with Christine Belt before heading over to the dealership, where I was asked what color and model car I wanted.I got to the dealership at 4:15.I was immediately greeted by Luke Mackenzie. The salesmen were not overbearing, but incredibly friendly and not intimidating. I sat down with Luke and was very nervous; this was a HUGE purchase for me and I went in without a parent or an experienced car buyer. Luke made me feel at home very quickly, he offered me water and coffee and then we got down to business; the kind of car I was looking at, what I could afford to put down as a down payment and what I wanted to pay per month. My information was given to Finance and we went to test drive the car. The new Kia 2014 has so many features the past years didnt; blue tooth, rear seats that fold down completely, XM radio, extra cup holders, and so much more. When we got back to the dealership, I was met with what a few banks at offered Kia, way too much money, but I was desperate to buy a car.After a long while, Kathleen Walsh comes out. She is the head of Finance. She sat down and was very sweet, but honest. She told me she didn't like the deal that the banks offered (14.9% with 3500 down!!!!). She kept reiterating that she was a mother and wouldnt want her own kids to pay that much. It was horribly disappointing, but Kathleen comforted me so much and made me feel so much better about the situation. She went BACK to work with the Banks and argued the best she could for me.Luke and I were at his desk for quite some time. We talked about movies,books,his family, my family; He was seriously the best salesman I could have ever gotten. I forgot so many times where I was, I felt like I was talking with a friend.Kathleen comes back out and tells me I will need a cosigner. She seemed so upset that she couldnt help me out. I know some dealerships would have been upset that they couldnt make a sale, but I didn't get that vibe in the slightest ( I've been in sales for years). We discussed a cosigner and Luke and I exchanged numbers so that I would be able to update him further about the situation. I left the dealership at 8:30.Fast forward two days and I was able to get a cosigner. I called Luke right away and gave him as much information as I could. He called my cosigner to get the rest. Fast forward another two days. My phone rings and its Kathleen Walsh! She tells me "Congrats Marybrett! I was able to get you approved!!!" I have never had someone sound so excited for me. We discussed that I would go in the following day to discuss rates and see what we could do.She calls me back fifteen minutes later and offered to come pick me up 25 minutes away to work on the paperwork tonight!! It was already 8:30 and I knew they closed in half an hour. At first, I felt some pressure, but I decided to go in and see what Kia was willing to offer me, after all, it was after hours and I felt like I wouldn't be rushed. I get to the dealership and all I heard was good news!!!My rate went down to 3.9 and my downpayment went down to 1500!!! They helped me purchase insurance through Geico, gave me some temporary plates, and two hours later ( yes I left at 11:15) I drove home in my new Kia Soul!!!! From start to finish, Kathleen Walsh and Luke Mackenzie worked tirelessly to help me out. They gave me the absolute best service I could ever imagine and I am SO GLAD my first car buying experience was with them. I was in Kathleens office for two hours, asking her if she honestly thought the price was good and that I was going to be okay. I stand up and she gives me a hug. She tells me " Whoever raised you, raised you right".You want to buy from this dealer, they will do absolutely everything they can to help you out and make you feel that you are valued.

We bought him a new Forte and to our surprise it was a really great car for the price. We had looked at some other makes but I our opinion this was the best value. I had brought in my Kia Optima for service due to the car lurching when it reached 20mph. The first time they replaced the transmission, but problem never went away. I brought it in a 2nd time they said, they didn't notice anything. I brought in a 3rd time and told them to let the engine and transmission cool down, and then they noticed it after it was out of warranty. They told me I had a brake problem and I would have to fix that for $800 bucks which only cost me like $350 at a general repair shop to replace the rotor. I told them to fix the lurching problem first, but they wouldn't do it unless I got the brake issue fixed because they thought that was the issue. I paid them $100 bucks to basically misdiagnose the problem and waste my time. I even showed them some articles of how to fix the problem and this was common.I took it to another service dealer, Jones Kia and explained it was a software glitch and to just update the transmission software. They basically deleted the program that was in the transmission and reloaded it with the latest version and the lurching issue was gone at no charge. I went back to Nationwide to show them my receipt and show that they misdiagnosed it and they can call Jones Kia to confirm and I would like a refund on the $ 100 dollars they charged me. The Don Ward the service manger just wasn't interested in and came up with every excuse to show it wasn't prove anything.

Mike was so patient and very helpful in completing my deal. I got an amazing deal for the car and I was really happy about the payments and warranty. Since it was my first car, it took almost an entire day to complete all the paper work and they did everything so patiently. I was so trilled to finally get my first new car. I wish I would have read some reviews and done my research before going to Nationwide Kia. I purchased a 2014 Kia Forte from Mike Bush. Of course Mike was very nice when I was interested in purchasing the vehicle and until the point I actually made the purchase but it was all down hill from there. He may be one of the rudest people I have ever encountered and he needs to learn some common courtesy. I contacted Mike about some false information that was provided to me about my vehicle and the features it included. Long story short, I contacted Mike to find out why I was provided with incorrect information and he responded through a few rude emails essentially telling me I am mistaken and he basically doesn't care because he hasn't received any commission from the sale yet.Dealing with the complete lack of respect wasn't worth having the issue resolved to me. However, when I went to pick up my license plates from the dealership, Mike blocked me from walking in and said "Are you here to argue with us or what?" I could not believe the audacity, it was completely uncalled for.I'm not sure about anyone else, but I work hard for my money and I would much rather spend it somewhere where I won't be treated like dirt. I regret purchasing my vehicle at Nationwide Kia and I will never make that mistake again. Their slogan is "Your Dealership for Life", well I haven't even had my car a month and I will never go back.

I nearly decided to not bring in for warranty service because it didn't seem like a big deal. The seal around the trunk lid was coming loose. I think it was still sealing when I closed the trunk, but the rubber was just kind of flopping around and looked dorky.I was taking the car into Nationwide for servicing, so mentioned the loose rubber to Roland. He went out to the service bay to look, then asked if I could bring the car back the next day. It is out of my way and I didn't want to blow the afternoon waiting in the service department, so Roland set me up with an appointment so that I could be in and out. How long can it take to put some glue on the rubber? To my surprise, the tech completely removed the old seal and put in a brand new one! Thanks to Roland and the guys for great service!

For my new business a small station gives me a little versatility than a sedan, and it makes more sense for me than a minivan. Jonathon was a great help getting me into our new Kia Forte 5Door. Maybe they call it a hatchback instead of a station wagon, but it sure works for our inventory delivery. With all the miles we are going to put on the car, it is nioce to be able to get in and out of Nationwide's service department. That may have been the final factor that convinced us!

My Dad still doesn't think that Koreans make real cars, but my new Soul is such a cute little ride. There is room for all my stuff when I go back to school, at it is really nice at the pump! Mike Bush did a great job of convincing me (and especially Dad) that this is the car I need at school, and took good car of us. He even helped us find a couple of dealers near campus for when I need servicing there.I wanted Dad with me when I bought the car, but the staff at Nationwide made me feel so good, I could have done it without him there. This place has a great "dealership for life" program but it comes with it's costs. Not only do they constantly lose paperwork and harass you about getting them more copies to them but you should also be prepared to deal with Rick. He takes personal pleasure in making you feel like an idiot. If possible- avoid this place when hes around he brings the whole place down. Even better find another dealership.

The sales lady firmly stated to me that there was no car within a 150 miles that fit the options and model for my budget. Amazingly enough I bought one within my criteria within that distance from another kia dealer. This is not the first dealer sales person I have run into that tried to convince me of such limitations. I would recommend you do your homework and consider the sales treatment.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I spent 90 minutes sitting, waiting, and wondering what all the back and forth meetings between the sales guy and the 'sales manger' were all about... I mean, I had already spent several days working through an online buying site, and exchanged no less than 15 emails with the internet sales rep who quoted a price, one that was confirmed with the 'sales manager' (SEVERAL TIMES over a couple of days and through multiple emails), only to find out when I arrived to "pick up the car", that something was wrong and they weren't quite sure how they got to that price, but that the real price was really a few thousand dollars more expensive.Then the "super sales manger", this is Buddy Singley's (who is supposed the be the sales manager) sales manager (huh?). Well, he produces a fancy sheet that shows the "invoice" price the dealership paid and then he circles some cryptic number and says that's our "dealer hold-back" that Kia will pay us, and there is NO WAY we can lose this much money on a new car. He 'tried to make a deal' but was basically pulling the old bait and switch on me, jacking the price (literally at the table, by several thousand dollars) while I sat waiting for 90 minutes to be sold the car at the price that was quoted to me (many, many, many, times over several days and confirmed by multiple levels of mgmt at the dealership)...Needless to say, I would NEVER under any circumstance consider buying from this dealership, even if it were the last one on earth. I would rather ride a bike or just walk before dealing with these 'people' ever again.Search the internet for this dealerhsip and it is littered with the corpses of bad reviews from others who have fallen victim to the same scams, lies, and tricks that were used on me in an attempt to sell a car~BEWARE!!!

THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS. THEY HID THE WINDOW STICKER, CHARGED $4000 OVER MSRP, AND, THE CAR I BOUGHT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT. THEY DID NOT TELL ME THIS; THEY JUST SLIPPED A PIECE OF PAPER INTO THE LARGE SERIES OF FORMS WE HAD TO SIGN. WHEN WE GOT HOME, WE FOUND OUT THE CAR WAS WRECKED IN A TEST DRIVE AND REPAIRED. DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. THE GENERAL MANAGER HAD LIQUOR ON HIS BREATH (WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE WARNING SIGN).

I called Nationwide about an Optima that was advertised on Cars.com for $17,400. The salesman explained that they couldn't really sell it for that price. No problem, don't advertise it for that price. It's still on the web site for $17,400. Don't waste your time with this dealership.

Ok. So I read the negative reviews and decided that I would take my chances with Nationwide Kia in Timmonium. I probably should have paid better attention to the reviews!I took delivery of a 2011 Kia Optima on 5/26/2011 & within five minutes of leaving the lot I noticed a strong tendency for the car to pull to the left. I called the dealership immediately while driving the car home to express my concern regarding this dangerous condition. They assured me this would not be an issue and that I should bring it back in so they could fix the issue. I dropped the car off and (coincidentally) after my check cleared they informed me that there was nothing they could do about this "known problem". They agreed that the car pulled to the left but told me I would either need to call into Kia directly or look into the lemon law. Quality customer service! I now have a car with 600 miles on it that wants to crash itself into the center median when you remove your hands from the wheel for a second - and they have done "all they can do"I cannot recommend that anyone purchase a Kia or any car from the Nationwide network of dealerships. My last hope is that Kia (corporate) can help me out. Otherwise it is off to see my attorney. uggghh.

I entered into a contract to purchase a 2011 Kia Sorrento 5/8/2010. I traded in a leased 2008 Ford Escape in very good mechanical condition. It had a few dings and also needed the back fender repaired. The car was left overnight so that their mechanics could evaluate the cost of repair, trade in value, etc. When I arrived Saturday evening, my brand new Sorrento was cleaned and waiting for me to take home. I hesitated because I told the salesman that I was not ready to purchase since the Ford lease did not end until September and insistent that we talk business before they assumed I would buy the new vehicle. I made it very clear that I was in no rush for a new vehicle and was not going to incur any extra expenses to end the lease early. I had already been told by Ford the balance and they, of course, got that information in between the time I was first there and returned on Saturday. After talking and seeing figures, I surmised that it was to my advantage to relinquish the Ford to Nationwide directly and purchase the Sorrento. That way, I did not have to worry about getting the Ford fixed and the interest for the Kia was less than what I was currently paying. They gave me extra money off to cover some costs incurred. The payoff at that time was $11,230. Because I had direct pay thru my bank, another payment went to Ford the following week. I called Kia and Ford to see who the reimbursement for the extra payment would come from. They both said Kia. Gregg Smith, the finance person at Kia, told me that in about 2 weeks the paperwork would go thru, Ford would be paid, and I would receive my refund in ample time to make my 1st car payment. Friday, 6/4/10, I called Mike Williams at Kia being that I had gotten several calls telling me to contact them urgently. He told me that the Ford Credit Current Balance Report was wrong and that I really owed $14,882 based on information they received from the Ford dealer where the Ford was purchased. He tried to convince me to pay it right away so that my credit would not suffer. Said that I agreed to pay any difference between the contracted amount and what the real payoff was and that he had a signed document to that effect. Said that these things happen sometime, but the difference usually is not so much. Told me that we needed to take care of this asap. On and on and on he went. I asked for documentation, so he sent me a document from his dealership in which the final line had 14,882 as Total Pre-Term Price Quote. I told him that I needed time to get legal advice, make some calls, and would get back to him midweek. I again printed the payoff and saw that it had decreased not increased. I called the Koons Ford credit manager and asked him if any of what Mike said could be true. He told me no. There is no way that the dealer would tell them a different amount then their credit department. Further said that Kia took ownership of the Ford and thus Koons had nothing to do with the vehicle. Also said do not let them scam you, your contract is binding. The trade still has not been paid. I am getting calls from Ford Finance about the delinquent account. I have picketed the dealership with a large sign and distributed the information to passerby's, customers and people shopping at venues close by. Have had several conversations with staff there. Just paid the trade in off .

I always try to not get caught up in stereotypes and to keep an open mind, but this dealership does nothing to try to break from the typical "fast talker" salesman stereotype. I would never recommend that anyone buy a car here, because our experience was so terrible. My wife and I went to look at new Kia's last night because we heard they had good prices at Nationwide. We told the salesman we dealt with that we were definitely not going to buy a car right then and there; we just wanted to look around and test drive one or two of them, if possible. Before we could say anything else, the salesman bustled us inside and told us we had to fill out all of this paperwork. He kept talking like we were going to buy a car that night, even when we told him we weren't. The salesman made us feel very, very pressured and told us "...you test drove this vehicle and now you say you're not going to buy it? You're going to get me fired!"Here's a tip: never say anything like that to someone if you're trying to get them to buy one of your products. It will make them leave. We left, and I'm glad we did.
