No other dealerships compare! Simply the best! The car buying process has always been something I stressed/dreaded and never looked forward to, I think being a woman plays a large role in that. It always felt like salesmen either didn't give me the time of day, assuming I knew nothing or thought they could get one over on me. ALL of that changed when I stepped into North Shore Honda. My family has now purchased two vehicles from North Shore Honda. They treated us like family, they took the time to really listen to what we wanted/needed in a vehicle and understood the value of our time. To say the customer service provided by Noel L. and Rich C. was above and beyond would be an understatement! They were completely transparent throughout the entire process and made sure we understood and were comfortable with the deal by answering any and all questions we had. They are genuine and truly cared about finding us the best fit vehicle for the best price. They went the extra mile to assist my family and that makes all the difference, you will not find that anywhere else. We love North Shore Honda! I recently purchased a CPO vehicle from North Shore Honda. This is my 5th Honda, so I knew exactly what I was looking for. I compared several vehicles and North Shore offered the best deal. An excellent experience from start to finish everybody at the dealership was super helpful kind and respectful. I called two days prior to picking up the car pretty stressed out because my car was flooded in the big storm that we had a couple weeks ago and I was having a lot of difficulties finding a new lease. Cindy reassured me and help me find a perfect car that made all my needs. I appreciate Joe for his assistance. Price listed on advertisement is NOT what they're selling for. Once there, they tack on practically $3,000 more in fees. They sold the car we had put a deposit on, after we got called away out of state on an emergency call & couldn't pick it up right away. They sold it one day before we were able to pick it up. John Raymond, sales manager, is the low life who made the call to sell it to a different customer. THEN he tries to sell us a DIFFERENT car. Fat chance!

Second time around, and a great experience! My credit had taken a slide and I was concerned about an approval. But my salesman Jad don't worry we have an expert here now, Rich Cirami a superstar with banking connections that are extraordinary.Well I am almost two hours away and Rich called me and laid out a plan after he heard my plea for help. He got my loan approved at a tier one rate, little money down and a payment that was comfortable. A great guy that I would say is the heart and soul of that dealership. We recently leased our 6th car, 5th Pilot from North Shore Honda, which says a lot about what we think of the team there. The experience is always excellent. We have dealt with Henry Neil for the last 3-4 of our Pilots and find him to be very down to earth,straightforward and professional. Our conversations are good and he takes a reasonable approach. This is our 4th Honda from North Shore. Jack Walsh and Bill Binninger were helpful in finding the car we wanted, getting us a test drive ,and arriving at the best deal. IWE wouldn't go elsewhere. I have visited many Honda dealerships this past week. As a women I find it very insulting when someone asks, "where is you husband"! That courted a few "turn my heels" and walked out scenarios'. Then I visited North Shore Honda and meet a sales consultant Daryl. Now this was a real gentleman, very cool with his pony tail and southern demeanor. Well we found the perfect car, a CRV certified pre owned model and we negotiated a fair price. The Finance Director, Richard Cirami would arrange to meet me the following morning as he was gone for the evening. So the next day he called we set an appointment and I came into this lovely office to meet Mr. GQ! Just a very polished cool guy with a business demeanor and a class act. We chatted I told him the payment range I could afford and on the phone with two banks he negotiated a rate and structure in front of me. Now that was a first for me. Great experience watching this happen. I got a long term warranty from Honda, tire and wheel protection as well and I am driving my new buggy right now! Thank you all!

I was purchasing my first car. I arrived here in NY a few months ago from Korea. I went to visit several dealers and found the same attitude in most. not interested in selling a car to someone with no credit. I found North Shore Honda and meet Noel. He was very nice showed me a few Accords and I found one that I liked very much. I told him I was new to this country, had no credit and he said we have a finance director here, Richard Cirami that has incredible banking relationships and will help you. So I gave a deposit and then was introduced to Mr. Cirami who was extremely kind to me. He told me what he was going to do took my complete credit profile from abroad and sent it to his bankers. In 20 minutes he had a great approval for me with little money down and a very affordable payment. I was shocked and he then went on line with me and we secured insurance as well. So to Mr. Cirami a very big thank you! This was a very fine experience and I will send many people here to buy Hondas.

The second time around! I purchased a 2014 Honda Odyssey from Noel a very nice young sales consultant last year. So we now decided that a 2016 new Odyssey would be an ideal addition to the family as we now needed an additional vehicle. So we contacted Noel and picked a car negotiated a fair deal and meet Rich Cirami the Finance Director on the day we were to pick it up. A first class guy he had everything in proper order, packaged a great loan with a low rate and in fact added a tire and wheel package as well a Honda Care warranty for a payment that was in our estimation was lower than we thought it would be going to our own bank. We chatted for a while as the papers were being prepared and the new plates issued and we just enjoyed dealing with a professional who clearly understood what he was doing. So thank you men, Rich and Noel you have made us extremely happy.

Mike Lawrence is a true gentleman, professional and not at all a "pushy salesman". He seems to want to help you buy, not just force a sale. When Phil Harvey got involved in our deal, he was much the same. We felt that he wanted to earn our business and we were dealt with fairly. Eddie Haas actually made the after sale finance process fun- never even thought that was possible. The car was delivered the same day and it was impeccably clean and good to go. All in all, a terrific buying experience.

I live locally and had to purchase a vehicle after losing a car in an accident! So my daughter and I decided a Honda would be an ideal car and thus we went to North Shore Honda! I am retired on a budget and had a figure in mind! We meet a salesman, Noel and I told him a needed a compact size car and what did they have in my price range! He showsed me two cars a Honda Civic and a Nissan Sentra! The Nissan was much nicer and I was just decided that I wanted to think about it for a day! Noel was pleasant I had some questions about financing and a warranty and he said there is our Finance Director! I said can you call him over! This extremely handsome gentleman sits down introduces himself as Richard Cirami! To make it short he said come to my office will chat there! In ten minutes he convinced me to buy the Nissan and set up a loan package with a warranty! He was delightful and honest and a pleasure to deal with! Within 25 minutes he had the car billed out and my daughter and I were elated with this decision! I visited five dealerships before I found a sales consultant that was honest and straightforward and more importantly a women! I walked out of five dealerships because each man that I meet treated me like a dumb blond when in fact I am a high powered professional women. When I came to North Shore Honda I meet Cindy Campos who in my estimation was straight forward, showed me what I wanted not what she thought I wanted and we constructed a deal in 30 minutes after viewing one of two vehicles I liked. She wrote it up the manager signed off and then she escorted me to meet the Director of Finance. I walked in to meet a simple stunning man who warmly greeted me and frankly I was at ease when I declared I want to buy nothing, please don't sell me anything and he smiled and said, I don't sell money I procure the best financing options for you. Wow! this was a first! Well Richard Cirami is the Finance Director for a reason. Polished professional and well connected to the banks as he negotiated a deal for me with TD Bank right in front of me. The rate was lower that I received an hour earlier when I called. I was elated and yes we spoke of the Honda Care program which after he showed me the savings over the long run I purchased. Within 20 minutes he assembled the paperwork, gave it to the billing department and 15 minutes later he was handed my plates and all of the formal documents for signature. All it took was five more minutes everything was highlighted for signatures and he shook my hand wished me well and walked me back to Cindy for delivery. From a woman's point of view, A WONDERFUL PURCHASE EXPERIENCE! Thank you, Mr Cirami

My wife and I purchased a CRV last weekend and if there could be one great word of the entire process it would be called a seem less transaction! Everything flowed and went smoothly! I visited No Shore Honda last week. I have a leased car that was way over the mileage allowed and I was in LI on business and decided to visit this dealership to get information about what to do. I meet a sales consultant Cindy who sat with me and showed me a few options on turning in my Accord and getting a pre owned Pilot. Well I found the perfect Pilot but i was informed my over mileage charge was $7400 which ended the thought of driving home a Pilot. So Cindy said you have to sit with the Director of Finance if anyone can accomplish what you want to do he can. I meet Rich Cirami a very nice man who invited me to sit down and said let me look at all the options for you. In twenty minutes and four telephone calls he worked out a deal that was perfect and I did not have to pay the over mileage charge. He made reality no joke and we agreed on a monthly payment that fit my budget with little money down on my side. I was so happy and he was just a great guy to talk to about my struggle to get out of this car. My wife and I have been looking for a very special vehicle for a year. We wanted a one year old Honda Accord Sport but it had to have a manual transmission. We live in New Jersey and by chance we looked on Cars.com and were directed to the website of North Shore Honda. There it was the right color options model hard to believe until we called and were directed to Jay Goodsmark a pre owned sales consultant. Within 15 minutes of speaking to Jay we knew we were in the right hands and left a $500 deposit on the phone to secure the car until we were to get there on Saturday for a test drive and final negotiations. On Saturday at 10 we walked in and were directed to Jay. A very nice young man all smiles he greeted us warmly and said come on with me I know your going to fall in love when you see the car. Well that's exactly what happened. It was detailed, flawless and Jay said lets go for a ride. Exuberant in 5 minutes behind the wheel and Jay laid out every option as well as we went on an extended test drive. That was it. So we returned to the dealership to finalize the purchase and Jay said I will introduce you to our Director of Finance who is a master of all the Banks. He took us to meet Richard Cirami and in five minutes we knew he was a very smart man not withstanding a GQ demeanor. Within a half hour we purchased a Honda Care Warranty with Tire and Wheel package. He saved us thousands on the interest rate he got us and then had the whole deal billed out as we had a cup of coffee. Just a first class man and we just enjoyed chatting with him about a world of accomplishments he had achieved in his fourty year span in the Automobile industry. As we sat a very pretty women, he introduced her as Cheryl the Director of DMV operations. She had our whole package complete wished us well and Richard had us signed out in ten minutes. He wished us well and handed us a bottle of wine with a warm handshake as well. What a fabulous way to end the day. He escorted us back to Jay who was waiting with three sets of keys, original books and said the plates are on an your ready to roll. We thank all of the North Shore Honda team for an incredible buying experience.

I wanted a Honda CR-V in particular, that had a good record on Carfax. My needs were met once I found this dealership- I was able to take home my "Hondie." Since I am a student, I didn't want to fuss about going to a dealership because I didn't want to stress out more than I had to. Upon meeting with Cindy I was immediately at ease. She was direct with everything , and so was the floor sales manager. I'm happy with my purchase, and will continue to take my vehicle here for regular check-ups as the area as well. The finance manager was cool, too.

A week ago we went to purchase a pre owned Honda! My wife and I had some credit issues in the past due to an illness not by being irresponsible! We arrived meet a young women, Cindy and in about 30 minutes picked out a Honda CRV and agreed upon a price! I explained the credit challenges and Cindy told us not to worry because the Finance Manager was one of the nicest men with incredible connections to major Banks! We said fine and she took us to meet Richard Cirami the Finance Manager! He greeted us warmly and Invited us to sit down and review the terms! He asked about our credit concerns! We told him everything and he smiled and said let me enter the information we have and I will get you approved right now! Two phone calls to two bankers and in minutes he got us a great rate, term and covered our car with a Honda Warranty as well! We were so pleased with his professional way and for the next fourty minutes we had a terrific conversation while our new car was being cleaned for us! The paperwork was completed and Richard went over everything once again and we signed as required! After everything was signed, he put all of our copies in an envelope for us and with the greatest level of sincerity thanked us for buying a car here as well given him the opportunity to help us! I was just floored! What a gentlemen! So now I have given him a new name in our circle of friends! He is truly, "The Carman of New York"

It was a good experience again. Henry and Eddie are very professional and it comes across in their dealings. They are the reason I came back for a 2nd time to lease my car. Henry was very patient and not only had answered all my questions but also educated me about car lease details. Stay away. I'd give negative stars if I could. We were under the gun on time and they ended up changing 3 different terms on us while we were trying to close (interest rate, the price of the warranty and the waiving of a smaller dealers fee). But we thought at least once we bought the car they'd treat us like family and take care of the car well. We had an "act of god" damage the car. They forgot to tell us when they were weaseling the warranty from us that it doesn't cover "act of god". Basically it only covers defective equipment...which is a joke and something that would be really important to know and stress when deciding to buy the warranty or not (not wear and tear, not no fault accidents, not anything). They told us they would tow us for free, would give us a free loaner car, would store the car while deciding if the warranty should cover or the insurance company should cover, and they know the car the best and could give us the best repair for the least amount of money. The insurance company decided to total the car. All of a sudden all those things that they offered us for free--cost money. Absolutely horrendous and dishonest service. Opening up a department of consumer affairs case against them. Stay away. Better the whole dealership should close

Jay helped me buy a used car. the process was quick, painless and unlike the other dealerships I went to, these guys didn't play games. I appreciated the approach and that they talked to me like a human being. I even had to bother one of the managers on his cell phone to make pickup arrangements. he was out of the office, but had someone else call me back within 15 minutes. lo and behold, I had the car 2 hours after that phone call. i will absolutely be going back for my next go-round and wholeheartedly recommend this dealership.

While our salesman was very good when I came in for a "free" service the service manager insisted that my CRV needed to have the differential fluid changed. The car had less than 12000 miles on it at the time. I questioned him and he insisted that the CRV needed it. The charge was over $200. It is now my understanding that this service is not necessary until the car has gone 40000 miles. They tried to pull the same routine with the AC filters. It seems that the free service visits can be an excuse to sell extra unneeded services.

I had deal to buy used veh.; gave dep.; gave ins. binder; next day Matt said he would not sell 10K used veh. unless I bought $2400-2600.00 ext. warranty from him. I thought it was not mandatory to buy ext, war. I thought that was my option. Is this a way to make more $ off of me? WOW. That's about 25% of total cost of used Veh. BEWARE. Don't get taken . My kids and I checked out the Odyssey for several minutes until we were helped by Peter Aber who highlighted some of the Odyssey's best features and informed me of the different models. Peter understood that it wasn't the best time for a test drive, so he respectfully told me his upcoming schedule and we left without being harassed. At other dealerships, the salespeople walked me out to my car begging me to come back in, so I could benefit from a "great deal." I returned for my test drive and afterwards received a fair quote (according to Truecar), Again, Peter understood I needed to go home and discuss this purchase with my husband. The next day, I felt great returning to the dealership and purchasing the car. Eddie Haas, the finance manager, quickly processed the paperwork. It could not have been easier...and I have no regrets!

Very professional folks-no hard sell-no nonsense about the price-everyone knew exactly what they were doing. Deal with Mike Lawrence, couldn't be nicer or more low key and to the point. The exact car we wanted (Blue Pilot) was in stock and the deal was closed the next day. Mike came in on his day off to accommodate us and make sure the delivery went smoothly. Eddie Haas was very impressive and made sure all the paperwork went smoothly even when I glitched some insurance and registration issues at the last minute! I traded in two cars for a Honda pilot, They gave me a good value for both my cars, better than (many) other dealers on Long Island. My sales people were both Peter Aber and Andrew Perry. Phil was my manager. All of them were very professional, respectful and easy to deal with. They made the whole trade in and car buying process smooth and pleasant.I requested a specific trim /color of the Pilot which they didn't have , so they ordered it from outside and delivered by the promised date. I have been to many other Honda dealers on long island and and found my experiences with them to be frustrating. This place is by far the best Honda dealer Iv visited on Long island. Without taking names, have a good idea of your credit score and shop around for interest rates to avoid getting ripped off in the finance section. No high pressure sales - he let us inspect the Certified Pre-owned vehicles we were interested in and let us drive each one. Extremely rude behavior, disrespectful staff. For the first time I have faced this kind of behavior from any sales staff for any product. I went to buy a Honda CRV which was listed on their website for $15990 , I talked to their sales staff he clearly mentioned no other fees is there on top of it. After reaching there they added extra fees of approx $2000 and inflated the price to $18000+. I clearly said that my budget is $15000 and I came here after seeing your posting of $15990. I was working with other staff Jason Godsmark but this guy came in and started talking rudely, pressurizing me. I have never seen such kind of behavior from any sales staff.

I was shopping for a Certified Pre-Owned Honda. This dealers prices looked very competitive on the surface. The problem is that price is available only if you finance through the dealer. In addition to dealer financing, there are over $1,200 in additional fees that are not discussed until a price is agreed to. They pushed me to finance to get the "better" price without disclosing rates and terms. I put a check deposit down, but when I went home I felt very uncomfortable about the whole deal.I was unimpressed with the quality of the used vehicles. The ones I saw were bought at auction, which are not usually the best quality cars. Lots of scratches, burn hole in the seat, small dents, etc. The 3 year old car I was looking at had to go out to a body shop for dent repair and surface rust repair on the rocker panel. I cancelled the deal 10 days ago and they still have not refunded my check deposit. They're your best friend until you don't want to buy, then you're treated like a leper. Look elsewhere.

I went to North Shore Honda because my father bought an Accord a few years ago and he recommended the place. I know nothing about cars so I was worried about buying a used car. The lease on my 2013 Honda Accord was expiring which I leased at a different Honda dealership. When I inquired at that dealership for a new 2016 Accord, they were not receptive to my needs. Negotiated with them over the internet. Received a specific 'out the door' price. It was clear that everything was to be included but DMV fees and sales tax. When I got there the salesman I was corresponding with was not there despite the fact that he specifically wrote me that he would be there and the guy I was assigned to tacked on over $800 'destination fee' and claimed he "was only the messenger'. I walked out and bought the same car at a different dealership for a lower price.

I drove 350 miles round trip for a car that was being sold for substantially more (thousands!) than the advertised price. The dealer added an 'acquisition fee', expensive financing (4.99% versus prevailing 1.35% rates) and almost $1000 for 'paperwork'. These additional charges amounted to over $3000 above this advertised price. AND - this was presented to me after I had asked repeatedly before making the trip - what the additional charges and paperwork would be. My bad on having trusted them.

Transferred my car to New York from PA and randomly went into North Shore Honda at 6pm on a Thursday night looking for license plate mount for front plate. Coming from PA, I've never had a front plate on my car and had no clue what I needed to do. Jad Hawat Jr. greeted me immediately, listened to what I needed and offered his assistance. One of their employees listening, Tom, had an extra mount in his car and offered it to me for free and Jad offered to install it for free! Both of these gentlemen were SO polite and helpful in mounting both plates. I NEVER expected to be treated so kind and quick for that matter. Excellent customer service & great personalities!! (not just because it was free either, they were just very pleasant from the moment I walked in the door.)Jad let me know the great enhancements of the 2016 Civic (I still drive a 2008) and I am excited for it to come out and go back to purchase my new car through North Shore Honda with Jad Hawat Jr!

I went to this dealership as I saw a honda car at autotrader.com listed by them.They insisted that I come in, if I wanted to negotiate or discuss the car. I went there with my family and kids as I was ready to buy the car, as price seemed reasonable.First the sales person told me that car was not available as he had sent the car for cleaning.Secondly when I sat down with him to discuss the car, he tried to add multiple fees to jack up the price by $3700 upwards of what the car was listed at on autotrader. He told me autotrader is worthless and that I was naive to trust those numbers and come in. Then he brought in another person called Danny (Senior Manager) who argued that he buys cars directly from auctions and his purchase price on this car was high as he had to fix the car. He kept pressuring me to with his high quote. I was about to walk out when they offered me the car for price listed on autotrader. As soon as I sat down again he told me I had to buy the car with an expensive installment plan from them. He knew that I was ready to pay cash for the car and did not need installment plans. He insisted I get his financing plan with several fees. When I said no, they started insulting my family and me.I walked out and vowed never to return to this dealership when they do not have basic dignity for customer. They think their hard sales tactics can pressure customers into buying vehicles with high unnecessary fees.They would not mind insulting you (even in front of kids) as a pressure tactic to sell you the car.

FURTHERMORE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AT A CAR DEALERSHIP! So I came here to buy a certified pre-owned 2013 Honda Pilot LX. Was a good price but that's how they get you to come in and rob you in the end. Car was listed for $21,000 and some change. But you only get that price if you finance with them at a ridiculous interest rate. Not only that they are the only dealership I know that charges for gas, delivery fee for a used car (although it was a lease buyout), admin fee and a bunch of other fees. Basically the price advertised is not the price you will end up paying. To get the internet price you have to finance at robbery rate of interest and/or you purchase a warranty from them.So I still end up buying the car because the manager Daniel Haber worked to make us happy by offering us a some what decent interest rate but it was still higher then what an outside institution would have charged me. Further more I had to buy a warranty from them or they were going to charge me $1000 more for my car. To add injury to insult after about 1 month of buying my car engine oil started leaking out of my car. I called my salesperson Jay Godsmark but he never answered nor returned my calls (Goes to show what kind of person he is). So then I was transferred to Daniel Haber the used car manager soon as I explained the situation to him he went "arghhh" like he was annoyed. He then told me to drive my car 20 miles to their dealership so they can take care of it. Stupid xxx why would I put my car and life at jeopardy and drive my car while engine oil is dripping out. Long story short I had my car towed to the local dealership by Honda roadside and I was a charged $120 diagnostic fee only to find out that the reason for the leak was the bolt for the engine oil was not tightened after an oil change. Called and spoke to Daniel Haber and he said "Why did int you bring it here, Im not paying for that". Again why would I risk my life and drive a car with oil leaking out or why would I pay $200+ to have it towed to you while Honda roadside can tow it to the dealership for free.In conclusion. I have purchased 4 other Honda's from Hillside Honda and Millennium Honda, 2 after purchasing from North Shore Honda and a BMW from Wide World BMW and by far this is the worst car buying experience I ever had. Stay away and if you don't believe me check their YELP rating and reviews.

I didn't expect to walk away with a car on the first visit to the dealer, but the people at North Shore Honda made the decision easy. Matt helped us narrow down what we were looking for in a car. He didn't pressure us and he even recommended a Toyoya dealership for us to do some comparison shopping. Once we knew which car we were interested in, we met with Jay. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they messed up my paperwork twice, and the signing process took a half hour too long.

I have purchased and had my cars serviced at North Shore Honda for over 14 years (first a Prelude then an Accord). Their service department is by far THE BEST. They provide personalized service, keep meticulous records, and are always very professional and accommodating. All repairs are completed in a timely manner and I have never had to return due to unsatisfactory workmanship. I am sent timely reminders of regular maintenance checkups and as a result have NEVER experienced a roadside breakdown despite, for several years ,commuting over 120 miles a day. I sold my Prelude after clocking 180,000 miles. My Accord has clocked about 145,000 miles and is still running smoothly....thanks to a great service department at North Shore Honda !

Harold sold us our most recent new car (aCRV,)we deal with Henry in Service twice a year, and our most recent experience with Matt Adler and Jad the sales rep was typically solid. I am not a bells and whistles type of car owner- I want a car that will run forever and give me minimal problems. I felt our loyalty to this dealer was acknowledged and rewarded, and the experience was about as headache free as I could have asked for. Karl in finance was helpful too. I would recommend North Shore particularly if you like Honda cars and you don't like wasting time or money.

The experience I witnessed at North Shore Honda was truly disgraceful if not criminal. Going in we knew that the Internet price for the car was based on taking financing. Since we wanted to pay cash, we had a suspicion it would be more but to our surprise $1200 more than the listed Internet price. With a firm number that we could afford we went back and forth for over 3 hours trying to reach a deal. All they kept saying was "they wanted us to leave with this car"yeah right. During that process, another car was shown to us. Because it was just arrived we could not test drive it or even get in it and there was a mileage discrepancy of 20k as compared to the carfax. OK maybe an honest mistake. So, we finally reached a deal on the car we came in for and while it took 3 hours, we felt good. A deposit was put down on the car in good faith and they ran a credit check. Well time ran out on us, it was Saturday night at 6 pm and the dealership was closing. We got credit that was acceptable at 4.9% and all that had to happen was to provide insurance (which we did) register the car with the DMV and sign the final papers. We were told because of how late it was the dealership was automatically signed out of the DMV so they could not register the car. So on Monday before the contract was signed and executed the agreed upon deal, Karl at North Shore Honda emailed to inform us"We got the insurance, but because the approval is "new credit" with low APR my boss will not let the car go out without the warranty. $4000 down 3.99% rate 199/month with 7 year Honda Care. I apologize if this doesn't work for you." A $300 deposit paid for the deal we had on Saturday, which I would think, they would honor! Now what they wanted was an additional $2,200 plus sales tax after the fact...unbelievable. North Shore Honda is forcing us to purchase something not wanted to make this deal happen. Since this was unacceptable, the deal was canceled and the $300 was to be returned. Well, after waiting for some time and no check a stop was put on the deposit at a cost of $35. Insult to injury. I hope this keeps unsuspecting people from going to Honda North Shore and facing the same despicable practices.

He just put me into my second CRV and I couldn't be more pleased.North Shore is a first rate and professional dealership. My new Basque Red CRV was prepped and shined to perfection when I picked it up on Saturday 4/25. Not a single fingerprint or smudge on the entire car, what a pleasure! All the new features were explained to my wife and I, we left feeling very happy about the whole experience. HAROLD WAGNER WAS GREAT TOO!! We got a nice car at a fair price. Jay and Matt were a pleasure to work with and did what they could to accommodate our needs. We would certainly recommend them! However, we had a few issues with the Finance Dept. There were omissions on the specific details, which should've been clearly reviewed with us. The total cost of the car ended up being $1,700.00 more than what we thought was the "bottom line". The purchasing part of the experience was negative and stressful. Finance should be more upfront with the customers when it comes to additional expenses. I would've rated the dealership higher, but the Finance Dept. really disappointed us.

I never right reviews, but I am really quite unhappy. I have leased 2 cars from NS Honda in the last 18 months. Both had "free" 2 year scheduled maintenance. Except when I went for the "free" maintenance I has hit with a bill for $379, they said yes "free 2 year maintenance oil changes". What is that? I never heard of that, straining the meaning of the English language past the point of sleazy used car salesmanship. I do not care about having to pay for things, this is America after all, but I hate being lied to, and this qualifies. WhenI leased from Hillside Honda they told me there were free oil changes, like NS Honda should have done. Please take your business to Manhassett Honda my friends have MUCH better experiences there. Thank you.

This was our second time back at North Shore Honda. We leased a Honda Pilot back in 2009 and decided to buy it at the end of the lease. Now we went back to see what kind of deal we could get. Well our original salesman John Schroeder and Eddie Haas the finance guy were still there and worked out a deal no one could pass. Long story short we turned in our old 2009 pilot and drove away with a new 2015 pilot. No pressure and they were not pushy like most salespeople. I would highly recommend this dealership!

they quoted the price of $21000 for a vehicle I was interested in. I was willing to drive for 3 hours to get this car. I asked about nearest bank so that I could complete the purchase after the trade-in value was established.Then they tell me that this price will stand only if I finance with them, which I wasn't interested in.It turns out that if one finances with them they get an additional $1200 fee from the bankAs I started fuming, they disclosed that there are other charges not listed on Autotrader.There was another $995 charge listed as down payment. So the $21,000 quoted on Autotrader was actually not a price at all, unless they say, you go to there website and read the fine print.The only good thing I can say, is that I didn't have to drive for 3 hours

Peter Aber was very friendly and helpful with the test drive and purchase process. No sales pressure from any of the employees. Base prices are very good but significant add on fees bring it close to the average market price. Financing is required and the interest rates are on the high side but they become more reasonable if you agree to purchase extended warranty and/or other additional items.

After searching around at local dealerships for a pre-owned vehicle, getting a lot of run around, I stopped in at North Shore Honda to check out a Honda Fit they had in stock. I wasn't quite sure the car was for me. Throughout the process, numerous test drives, and negotiations, I settled with a Honda Civic instead. the North Shore Honda staff was extremely helpful and more importantly, patient enough to deal with me and my needs. Avoid this dealership like the PLAGUE!! First off, they have tons of dealership fees, transportation fees, gas fees that will inflate the cost of your car greatly. They also try to hide their fees to get you in the dealership by referring to it as a "down payment" on their website -- I called ahead of time because I suspected that the "down payment" was really just an additional fee, but they assured me that there were no additional fees -- lied to me just to get me in to the dealership. When I got there they tried to justify lying by saying "we're a small dealership -- we have to get people to come here" -- you've got to be kidding me. ALSO -- MATT ADLER (THE SO-CALLED PRE-OWNED SALES MANAGER IS A MORON! Honestly, one of the 4-5 dumbest people I've ever met. Exhibit A -- I tried to tell him that he was misleading people by referring to the dealer fee as a "down payment" -- and explained to him most people would not think that this "down payment" should be added to the listed price of the car to determine the actual price -- I proceeded to give him an analogy of buying a house for $200k and putting down a down payment of 20k -- the down payment is just the portion of the 200k you're willing to put down. He then responded by saying "well if you're buying a house, you might get into a bidding war" -- xxx -- idiocy! I responded by saying "that's irrelevant" to which he responded "well you brought it up" -- no words for that level of stupidity so I just walked out. To add on -- he was just plain rude the entire time he was talking -- constantly interrupting. On a positive note my sales consultant (Jean Lucas?) was extremely pleasant and I would have loved to give him a sale but sadly he works at the DEALERSHIP FROM xxxx

I went in to get my oil changed/battery replaced and ended up walking out with a new car! My lease was ending in the next two months and I just walked in to speak with the sales department about my options and was honestly considering extending my lease. The sales department employees were not pushy at all but got me a great deal on a 2015 lease, I would have been crazy to turn it down! My last two lease payments were paid by Honda and I drove off two day's later with a brand new car, an insignificant increase in my monthly payment and no money down. The whole process was easy and stress/pressure free. The selection of cars was amazing and I could have had a car the same day but I lease the Civic SI, which is often difficult to find, and I am very picky about my color. They had the car in alternative colors but I chose to wait the two days to get what I wanted. The best part was there was no pressure at all from the sales department to buy the colors they had. It was a refreshing car buying experience. I left the dealer the first day and called a family member, who needed a new car, and he ended up buying a car the next day! I highly recommend this dealership!

I called the parts department to ask the size of the windshield wipers for my 2012 Honda Civic 4 door sedan which I lease through North Shore Honda. I live 20+ miles from this dealership but I have been leasing through them because I have always found the salesmen to be professional and NOT PUSHY! I usually deal with Jack Walsh, just in case you want a good salesman! Over the past 6 years or so my family has leased 5 Honda cars from this dealership. Three are current and coming up for renewal.HOWEVER, when I called the parts department he wanted to know why I wanted to know the size and why I was measuring them. All I had to do was bring my car in and they would sell me the correct size. He stated that he does not know the size, only the part number! Are you kidding me? I should drive 20 miles each way to get windshield wipers??? I found his tone of voice to be crude and annoyed that I should be bothering him.I will seriously think about whether I want to renew my leases with this dealership, two are coming due within the next four months, the third in 11 months. I have always found Jack Walsh to be professional, but service is ok, parts help is non existent!

Andrew was attentive and friendly from my first phone call. Invited me in and got to work on making a deal. Worked out everything in the first sit down and honored all commitments. When I returned to pick up the car, he expedited whatever paperwork he could so I wouldn't have to wait. Karl helped us work out the finance details and also worked to fix a problem that we caused. After reading all 5 stars reviews here one can think that only angels working in this place, but we had a different experience however. We went to NSH to buy used Nissan, that was sitting there for 5 months already. The advertised price was $14,995, that looked like a good deal. To our surprise that Murano SL did not have a moon roof, that is part of SL trim, but it was not mentioned anywhere on dealer's web site. But even bigger surprise we had after taking a ride, when dealer calculated the price of $18,085 (more than 3,000 above what was advertised, and it was before tax, registration and other expected fees). That new price included: $14,995 (as advertised on internet with * that meant-quote: "Prices reflect: 90% financing with Dealer, must have excellent credit (750+ credit score) and $995.00 down plus Tax, title, tags, DMV & fees."), plus $1200 penalty for paying cash (yes, we wanted to pay 100% cash, we are intending to take car out of the country and can not finance for that reason, pretty handsome penalty where should be none in our opinion), plus $995 down (excuse me, but if we are paying all at once, what kind of "money down" are we talking about?! And since when "money down" became an extra fee?!), plus $895 that they called "prep fee" or something like that ( according to all the records we could access all what they did to the car was changing the oil, filters, brake pads and wipers and other dealers normally include that into the advertised price). We felt cheated, especially after driving for 2+ hours from Connecticut. We said to Matt, that we went to three different dealers in CT in past few days and never seen such price presentation, he answered that it been long since we were shopping for cars and things changed, so... he did not even hear us. He continued to try to convince us that there is nothing wrong with the way they doing business and read us a lecture that we should not be shopping for a car we can not afford! That was especially delightful, considering that we both considerably older than Matt! Bravo, Matt! We are thankful for some valuable lessons we learned from you and the first one among them -never again deal with your dealership.

After speaking with Mike of Cove Tire who fixed my used car about a new car he told me that there are 3 companies in my price range Honda being the best. I searched high and low for a red two door honda with a list of things I wanted. I looked online at Edmunds.com for the car of my dreams North Shore Honda had it!!! But, I wanted to shop around for the best price. I knew the prices going from dealer to dealer up and down Northern Blvd. and Jericho Turnpike. Because there were no red cars available many of the dealers in my area were nasty telling me as a woman that I did not know what was good for me, or they ignored me. I finally made an appointment with North Shore Honda and met with Andrew, the salesman, he told me that the car of my dreams would not be available with everything I wanted till November. I sold my used car and was without a car. Andrew told me that it would be better to get the navigation later because if I had problems with it I would have to bring the car in for service. He told me about some of the navigation companies that would be good for me. I was sold, got the car without navigation but bought it separate. I never get lost, don't have to leave breadcrumbs as I really don't know Long Island that well. I am grateful to Andrew and the service I get from North Shore Honda - they did not sell the car to me as I knew what I wanted but, they gave me the best offer. I love my car!!! Thank you North Shore Honda!!!!!

In June, my 2006 Honda Odyssey was totaled when someone rear ended me on Southern State Parkway. I loved that car, and needed to replace it quickly with a similar vehicle. After quite a bit of shopping, my husband and I found a car we liked that was reasonably priced at North Shore Honda. The salesman, Andrew was generally ok, although when we found minor things that needed repair, he tried to convince us that a used car is "as is". We were there on a Sunday and were pushed to pick up the car by Monday so that the dealer could reach the monthly quota. When we went to write up the deal, we were surprised to find delivery and dealer prep charges amounting to $1170. This significantly raised the price of the car, and is something I have never before experienced when buying a used vehicle. When I complained to the manager who was there that day (sorry, I don't remember his name) he basically said that the vehicle was priced well, and that they had to make a profit somewhere. Excuse me, but why not be up front about the price in the first place? The tires were almost worn out, and they would not give me new tires. I asked if they would perhaps consider replacing the tires at dealer cost, was told yes and then quoted $200 a tire. I have since purchased Michelin Defenders at $153 per tire plus mounting and balancing (total cost $830.93 including all fees, tax and alignment), I was also quoted dealer's cost of about $1000 to change the timing chain (another concern I have, as I know I will need to do it soon, and would rather have started fresh). I was told that the car could not be checked by my mechanic unless he came to North Shore (from Freeport) the next day. When I bought my 2006 Odyssey, the Sales person (Bonnie at what is now Honda-Manhasset)) drove the car to my mechanic herself and made sure his concerns were addressed. Unfortunately, she did not have the car we needed this time. I would deal with her again in a heartbeat. In the end, I purchased the car, as I really needed a car and liked this one (and still do). I got the same financing story as I have read, although they were a little more flexible about the down payment, letting me put more on a charge card than they normally allow as I was waiting for payment from the insurance for the accident. I also had to sign a paper that I would pay $600 if I prepaid the loan before 7 payment were paid, and they took my American Express info to insure said payment. I was told that I could not arrange my own financing if I wanted the price quoted on the car. I think this is very sneaky. I am happy with the car, but after driving it for a while, have found several problems I wish I had noticed before purchase, the most serious being some rust on the bottom of the drivers door opening that I know I will need to fix soon so it doesn't eat my car. I didn't even bother trying to get North Shore to fix these issues, as none would come under the "Safety" issues covered by the lemon law warranty. So yes, this was a very mixed experience. After thinking about previous experiences and talking to my daughter about a very positive experience she just had purchasing a Honda Civic from a dealer in MI, I felt I had to express my feelings about this experience. I will not return to this dealership in the future or recommend them.

There was no problem accepting my internet price and offering me a fair trade in value for my 2003 Taurus. I was given a good overvue of my chosen Accord LX and the test drive went quite well. Phil Harvey is the reason I went here. I have bought cars from Phil in another Honda location and I have found that he is the most knowledgeable about his product, will help you for your budget and makes you feel very comfortable that you and your family are making the best selection possible. My family and I have bought 3 Hondas from Phil and will continue to do so. He is also aware of the other makes and models of competitors and will explain the difference between Honda and the competition. Transactions with Phil could not go any smoother unless he paid for your car and drove it to your house. I recommend Honda to others and especially Phil Harvey. If Phil went to another Honda location, we would follow him there. Eddie Haas, was great in the financial department, made the paperwork move very quickly and answered all of our questions. A man that makes the car financing part -no scary at all. Phil Harvey is not only a great sales person but even a better human being. Matt Adler made my 3 days! That was a play on making my day. So, Sunday was my first time visiting North Shore Honda to potentially purchase not only my first SUV but my first Honda as well. While test driving the CR-V there was an unknown noise that had me concerned (It ended up being a loose seat from the previous owner's frequent use). When I explained that I didn't like what I heard he and my salesman took my car for a ride with Matt listening for and finding the noise. He then promised that even if I didn't decide to purchase the car that his concern above making sales is the overall satisfaction and safety of North Shore Honda's customers. While going over the purchase price and the financing, I expressed that I needed a certain price frame in order to want to move forward. Not only did Matt say he would do whatever he could to get the price the closest to what I needed but he also offered an uncommon deal and made an immediate phone-call/demand to get a price for my car to be traded in. What made that special is that I knew that I would be lucky if I got anything for the car, but definitely didn't think that I'd get above $300 for my car but Matt got above and that price. I also arrived there a half hour before they were closing,with the thought that it wouldn't take that long to talk about price. To make sure I completely understood any and all questions that I had, Matt gave me all of the time I needed, which resulted in being there after closing time. At the point of leaving I thought for sure that he was beyond annoyed and would graciously rush myself, my grandfather and my uncle to leave but he also bought us all something to drink and didn't even seemed to be bothered by it. Yesterday I decided to move forward with purchasing the Honda CR-V. Today I had to go back to get a service done and once again. From yesterday to today, Matt went above and beyond what was necessary, by: giving me Motrin for my headache, helping me as he was "off the clock"/ heading home, and he also making sure I was completely satisfied. As I drove off, I joked that he didn't have to worry about me ever coming back again and he replied that it would be his pleasure if I did. Bill also went above and beyond for me. I might not ever have to go back but I definitely will recommend others to go. Sorry this was so long, but it was the least I could do to show my appreciation.

I went to North Shore Honda to purchase a CPO Accord they had listed on their website. I was happy to see that not only did they have the car when I got there, but it looked just as good in person as it did in the photos on their website. I mention this because one of the other three Honda dealers (not North Shore Honda) I went to told me the car I wanted was sold even though they had told me it was available an hour earlier when I called. And some of the cars that looked great on their website were in terrible condition. At North Shore Honda I worked with Jason Godsmark who showed me the car I was interested in and took me for a test drive. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He wasnt pushy at all, he allowed me and my wife to take our time looking at all of his CPO inventory and we never felt rushed. I also worked with Matt Adler who is Jasons Manager and he was just as accommodating as Jason, very friendly and easy to talk to. Matt worked all different angles to get me the car I wanted, close to the price I wanted to pay. In all fairness I worked him hard and he never skipped a beat. He just kept working to do whatever was needed to make me happy. On another note, I worked briefly with Phil Harvey who is the new car sales manager when I was considering leasing a new Accord. Phil was also great, another very friendly and non pushy North Shore employee. The day I was picking up the CPO Accord Phil came over to congratulate me on the purchase which was a nice thing for him to do.As mentioned, I ended up purchasing a CPO Accord and was very pleased at the way I was treated by the North Shore Honda staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in a Honda.

I would really say it was one of my best experiences buying a car because from the moment I saw my options [model trim, color etc] then test drive and negotiate the price of the car [not jambo mambo] I take less than 1 hr & 30 min. from the seller [Michael] then the Manger [Phill] & finally finacial manager [Eric] went right around without any kind of game. the very next day when I went to pick it up my new Accord the car was ready, sign the papers pay for the car without any kind of inconvenience. It is worth adding that before driving my new car home I wanted to set-up the infotainment systems with HondaLink app . that it's when another car salesman [Andrew Perry] came to explain and help to set-up the radio.[he was very familiar with the HondaLink App] I really recommend this Dealer and after all knowing prices: KBB, True Car, Edmunds.com etc. I pay an excellent price for the car.

This is my 3rd car I have purchased from North Shore Honda. I have had John Schroeder for my salesman on all 3 cars. I have had John on all 3 cars because he has never but any pressure on me to buy the car. He is a very experienced salesman that helps you out in any way he can. For me a car is a big purchase that should be enjoyable experience without stress. I have gone into other dealerships to look at cars and 5 people approach you like hawks. They all say they can do this price with these options and then you go to sign papers and it's all different numbers sometimes $200 more then they quoted you. That was before I met John and all the people at North Shore Honda since the first car I have purchased from them around 5 years ago all I have to do now is go see John he tells me about what the car will cost. After that I go to finance department and the numbers are what John estimated what they would be. I sign the papers and an hour later I am out the door in my new car without all the games other dealerships play. Every time on my way home I find myself saying to my wife that's how it should be buying a new car Fun without stress. And while we wait for the car to be prepared for us we always have fun talking with the people at North Shore Honda. Let's just say I will be buying all my cars from North Shore Honda in the future and a note to John please do not retire for awhile because we enjoy the car buying experience with you. I rate North Shore Honda and John 5 out of 5 Stars. By the way I love my new Civic Si Sedan. Thanks for everything Michael M.

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned Honda Accord from North Shore Honda and I am very satisfied with how everything resulted. Jay Godsmark was not pushy as one would expect a car salesman to be. He was extremely friendly to the point where my family and I were joking around. Unfortunately, when we made our first visit the car that we wanted to see was not available because it was going in to get cleaned, but Jay made it up to us by allowing us to leave a deposit and reserving the car for the following weekend. Jay took a risk on us by protecting the car from other customers for 6 days without being 100% sure that we were going to purchase the car the following weekend. Additionally, Jay did a great job explaining how the financing works and he described the 150 point test that certified cars must go through. Overall, the people that work at North Shore Honda were very friendly and helpful with how they took care of my family and I. I would definitely go back to make another car purchase in the future after the pleasant experience I had this past weekend.

My husband and I were interested in purchasing a Honda Accord and in doing some research on line, came cross North Shore Honda. We saw some possibilities and decided to visit the dealership. In addition, we read the reviews of the Sales Consultants and were impressed with that of Andrew Perry.Accompanied by our son, we went into the dealership on Saturday, April 26 and met with Andrew . He welcomed us, showed us the cars we were interested in, answered all our questions, took us for a test drive and when we made the decision to purchase, he completed the preliminary paperwork. Because it was late Saturday afternoon we returned on Monday April 28 to pick up the car and sign the necessary documents. He walked us through each document and explained to us everything in detail. including warranty, maintenance, etc. Andrew was most courteous and knowledgeable of the product; we felt very comfortable with him. He did not force us into making the decision to purchase as most sales persons do. His professionalism was a breath of fresh air and we would highly recommend him without hesitation, to our friends and to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle from North Shore Honda.

My wife and went shopping for a new car starting in Sept 2013.We wnt to Toyota,Honda,Car max and more dealers here in Charlotte NC.After a week or two we were frustrated and very apprehensive about the whole sales process.We had leased and purchased many cars before so it was really not a new thing to us but we just got fed up with the process and put it on hold for awhile.Then in April we decide to try again,we had a 2005 Honda Pilot with 193000 miles on it to trade in.Many dealers here in NC gave us a trade in price of 3000 dollars and told us that with our credit history it would be impoossible to get us in a lease with Honda.We met Phil through a friend and told him our situation and he said he would be able to put us in a lease that would be suitalbe for our needs and within our financial limits.He and the staff at North Shore Honda were true to their word.They got us into the CRV that we wanted ,and some extra perks,with the payments we were looking for and did it so pain free that we drove from Charlotte NC to Long Island NY to trade in our Pilot,which they gave us 500 dollars more for than the dealers in NC had offered.We will now be traveling back to New York to get our vehicles from our friends at North Shore Honda. Just bought a 2012 honda pilot from Peter Aber. Called him when i saw the listing online to confirm the truck was still available. When i went down with my family to see the car, Peter was very friendly in person and seemed to care about his customers. He worked with me to get me a reasonable trade in figure that i was comfortable with and he honored the internet price of the car. Didn't try to add on or sneek in any hiden fees. The finance guy that we delt with was Eddie Haas and was also curtious and friendly. Worked with us to get us a low interest rate for buying the extended warranty. Overall, we had a good experience with the dealership. Didn't feel pressured at all to buy anything, would certaninly recomend to someone.

The employees smiled and offered me warm welcome as I entered the dealership. Peter Aber who attended to me treated me with courtesy. His service to me was impeccable and also professionalism. I would recommend this auto dealer to anybody. The car is beautiful and Peter made me love it even more. He explained everything in detail to me. Honestly speaking I was afraid to drive the car I know nothing about home all the way to Brooklyn from Northshore since I have not driven for a while but Peter made everything easy. I got home before I knew it and called him to let him know I arrived safely. He was very happy to further assist me with other details which I needed to know on the phone. He stayed with me on the phone with further explanation. He never said no to my request to assist me even after we finished the transaction and I went home. The employees called to see if all is well periodically. Boy do I love this royal treatment? Thank you guys! I will always do my business with them. I am very happy with my car and the service I received.

Two days prior to my lease (and me turning in my 2011 Pilot), my car was hit in a parking lot. The staff at North Shore Honda reassured me through the very stressful process, honored the commitments that they made, and made the process move extremely smoothly. Without question, I felt welcomed and valued. It was very clear to me that my business meant a lot to the staff at North Shore Honda. In fact, I happened to meet the North Shore Honda Service Manager in passing who said to me, "Welcome to the family." That means a lot and I'm going to return the favor -- I will stay North Shore Honda in the future and I live 2 hours away, passing 6 or 7 other Honda dealers along the way!Phill Harvey, the new sales manager, has been our "guy" for three years now. Moving to North Shore Honda recently, we followed. We were luck enough to be paired by Phill to Barry Stambleck who processed my lease (and my wife's, on the same day -- I'm sure she will write as well!). Barry made us feel right at home, made sure each of our needs was attended to, and that everything ran smoothly. We decided we would call this dealership the next day; My husband joseph called and finally after the 100th call finally got in touch with the North Shore Honda General Manager David Haber! Unhelpful we asked to please return this piece of junk used car from North Shore Honda Dealership. However the reply The General Manager of North Shore Honda gave us was and I will Quote him; Mr David Haber said "I AM SORRY BUT I JUST CANT TAKE THE CAR BACK AND RETURN YOUR MONEY".Me and my husband were appalled; We had owned the car one single night, we had called North Shore Honda the very next day to get all our money back All $17,000 of our money. It just comes to show that sometimes money does blind people to do terrible things taking all of me and my husbands savings for this terrible broken lemon car. We purchased a 2014 CRV and we love it. The staff were amazing, Barry was our sales Rep, he was very patient with me when I was trying to make up my mind. Barry went over all of the new features of the new CRV and answered all of my questions. While we were sitting at his desk Richard from the serivce dept. was on his way into the office but he stopped to say hello and introduced himself, which I was very impressed. The best experience by far I have ever had when purchasing a new car. I have purchased a Nissan before, along with a Honda from another dealership, but never felt comfortable with the experience. Well, from the initial greeting John made me feel at ease with the whole experience. He was extremely friendly, and NEVER made me feel pressured into buying a car, unlike every other experience I have had with other dealerships. He was very informative, and broke down the whole process for me in a way that made it quite easy. In the end, the management team shook my hand, and thanked me for the experience, they were all courteous and again, NONE of them pressured me into the sale. I feel I needed to post this because they deserved to be recognized, and knowing I now have a place to go to for my future car purchases helps relieve the anxiety that used to come with buying a new car.

Let me first talk about the dealership. North Shore Honda is truly a great place for buying a car. The atmosphere there is very relaxed, and people are really friendly and helpful. They treat you like a friend, they are also great with kids! :) Andrew was introduced to us when we first arrived at the dealership. He understood our needs and quickly gave us a test drive with the exact model and trim we wanted without any question. We knew what we wanted, a 2014 CR-V. Andrew was very knowledgeable, and if he didn't have an answer, he would find it out for you. The price given to us was very reasonable, comparing to other quotes we got. The whole buying process was very pleasant, and he's very honest, which is a very valuable quality in car sales. Even our 3 and half years old boy liked him. We really could not ask for more! Eddie was great, too! Very understanding and patient. He and Andrew helped us get the best deal we could ever have. We are very happy and satisfied with the service we've got. Went to dealer with a low internet price in hand. They started adding fees, which drove up the price to over other dealers. When I told them that, they came way down in fees, and beat the other dealers. there wasn't any pressure, and they found and had delivered the car I wanted within a few days. A very easy experience.

One of the other associates (Harry?) even swooped in in-between and gave us the low down pricing on what they can do for a Hybrid we were looking at. One quick & easy swoop without me having to do anything. We ended up buying a Civic though. We got amazing deals for both, but the Civic fit our long-term needs better.I don't know what the few negative reviewers here were talking about. Who knows how things were before, but today, we signed a primo deal and everybody walked away from that table happy. North Shore Honda might be a bit away from the Main St. (Jericho/NorthernBlvd/Sunrise) dealership locations, but it's worth the trip. Especially this time of year with the offers they have. It's work the look, especially when dealing with Neil!Also we were promised some great car servicing specials all included with our standard purchase there. Eddie was a great in the finance dept too. Like every finance dept, he promotes the usual warranty and services, but he's smooth and doesn't push you into anything if you don't want or need it. Great conversations with both Henry and Eddie.Go... Now... Give Henry a shot, you won't regret it.

I came to this dealership all the way from upstate NY because North Shore Honda was the lowest priced car I saw when I minimized my Cars.com search to 200 miles. When I got there I was helped by the pre owned department's salesman Jay and manager Matt. They were great! Very helpful and patient with me while I found the right truck. The entire process was truly a pleasure to me and my mom. We were in and out inside 2 hours, Jay showed me every feature of the Pilot, it was the opposite of the "used car salesman" stereotype. To top this great experience off, when I was ready to leave with my new truck, I had a car my mother and I rented from Enterprise, Jay printed us up mapquest directions to get us there with no issues because my phone was dead. Kudos to the kind folks at North Shore Honda. My next car will be purchased at this location, depsite the travel. My only hope is Jay and Matt are still there. Great experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As everyone knows, the car buying experience is usually a nightmare. I went into this process with my guards up, expecting the same thing. Well, since the second I walked in to North Shore Honda, the overall morale of this place, as well as the staff they employ, began to change my mind. I was on the lot looking at the SUV's they had and was greeted within seconds by the smiling face of a very non-typical sales representative, Jay. I had a million questions about a few different models and kept apologizing. Jay was very kind in continuously reassuring me I wasn't pestering or annoying him by asking these questions. I have never in my life told a salesman I'm just looking, and not buying right now, and have had the salesman continue to help me as if I didn't just say it (which was one big reason why I ultimately purchased the car from him). I really wasn't looking to buy for a couple of weeks. Jay is really something else. North Shore Honda is so lucky to have a young man with so much drive and knowledge of what he is selling. I am so pleased with this experience that I have posted a status on Facebook recommending this dealership to my friends. I give JAY and this dealership 2 BIG thumbs up!

I went to north shore honda after going to many other dealers who couldn't get me approved. When I got there, I told used car salesman Jay Godsmark this right away. Unlike other dealers, after hearing this, he didn't treat me like a bad person because i've had credit problems. Instead, he treated me like any other customer and helped me find the right car for me. When we sat down he gave me a great price for the car and we went in to the finance office to work out the rest of the numbers. Everyone at north shore honda treated me like family. I traveled an hour and a half to this dealership with cars.com information in hand. I called prior to going and was told four cars would be there. Only two were there. Those that were there we not available for the price listed on Cars.com UNLESS YOU USED THEIR FINANCING. Ok, it was Wed afternoon and I saw very convenient prices at their webpage. Once at their offices, I discussed prices with Jess and he told me that the Honda Pilot 2010 I was looking for was at $14,955 (internet price) and if a pay cash it will be increased by $995 (down payment). I said ok. Next day, I went to see this car with my wife but Jess wasn't there so I spoke with Matt who send one of his salesman to show the car. This guy (I think his name was Pete?) was very lazy and showed low interest in selling the car. He gave me the keys and came back inside his office. When we asked about the prices of other cars he told us "thats out of your budget" and refused to say the prices (if any set). Then, me and my wife went inside to talk about the price and this guy told us something totally different from what I was told the day before. They hide the real price lowering their internet price so people come in. When they are face to face with the client they start increasing the price adding other charges. It is a scam! Then Matt came in and he was very aggressive trying to convince me that I HAVE to finance the car (that's my problem not his, right?). Their "deal" is that you have to put a down payment of only 10% and finance 90% thru them to get the internet price. He said it was a win win for me (yeah right)...so before knowing the interest rate they can get for me, they requested a deposit of usd 500 which I refused to pay. You can pay off fully if you want after 7 payments. What a crap. They decide when you can prepay the loan? That's not the way I do business but guess its the way they do. Matt was anxious to sell but not to willing to negotiate and hear. When I said I am going to think about it, Matt told me next time don't waste his time. Was a waste of time for me! They should post a disclaimer explaining step by step all this "charges" so people won't lose their time. Moreover, the staff was rude and tryed to take advantage of me. Jess Perez is the only one I would trust at this dealer. I have been shopping around for three weeks now visiting many different dealers and I must say this was the worst experience by far!! I won't come back again because their prices are fake. Worst experience ever! Don't walk in.

saw an attractive internet price on a Honda that had all the features I was looking for. didn't read the fine print. its like the newspaper ad come-ons. went saw car, the asked about financing. deal is you have to put down only 10% and finance 90% thru them to get that price. was told sometimes they bend a thousand or 2. you can pay off fully if you want after I think 7 payments. what a farce. someone's going to tell me theres a limit to what I can put down? that's not the way I do business but guess its the way they do.

I had recently stopped into the North Shore Honda dealership with interest in a used car hoping to trade in my Toyota Prius. After speaking with my parents we thought that maybe I should be looking into a new car instead, so we walked into the dealership and were greeted by Harold who was very nice and eager to help, he sat us down and went over the pros of purchasing a new car as well as informing me of the warranty for a new car and the types of services offered with the new car. After going over some numbers and discussing what i may possibly receive for my trade in value I felt that if i were to purchase the new car the leasing option would be right for me. I came in a few days later, again greeted with a smile by Harold to put the deposit down for the new Honda Accord as well as to get the Prius appraised. Harold was kind enough to offer me a test drive where i was able to ask some more detailed questions about the car, in which he was very informative. I came back later that night to work out the last of the paper work and was then introduced to Eddie. Eddie was so kind and friendly the entire time to my parents and I, I felt so comfortable to ask him any question i had. After spending about an hour with Eddie i felt that my family had just made a new friend, making my first car purchase very comfortable and less stressful. I feel that the North Shore Honda dealership is one of the best i have personally dealt with, being a young girl going into a car dealership alone to ask about a car i never once felt pushed to purchase or belittled for being a girl. The entire experience was easy and enjoyable, I would recommend this dealership as well as mention both Harold and Eddie for anyone in search of a new car. I am proud to say i am a first time car owner and couldn't be happier with my decision thanks to everyone involved at the North Shore Honda.

Sat morning I clicked on a link for more information on a car at this dealership listed on cars.com. Shortly after, I got an email from FRollo thanking me for contacting them and someone would be in touch with me shortly. Little did I know that was the only thanks I would receive. By Tuesday lunch I called them and spoke with Fred who promised to email us the credit app and any documentation we would need to purchase a used Honda accord we saw on their website after we hung up, so I could get time off from work and drive down Thursday. Wednesday night after leaving 2 voice mails and an email to request it again ahead of time (considering driving from CT) we finally left a message for Dave the general manager who called Thursday to apologized and had the assistant sales manager Matt call us back and we scheduled an appointment for Monday. Matt promised to take care of us personally. That morning Matt confirmed by email the two cars we were interested in were available. When we got there Matt promptly handed us off to a salesman and disappeared. After the 2 hour drive from CT, one car was unavailable and the 2nd car mysteriously disappeared too. The next step in the "set up" was to show us 2 other cars. The first car was listed at 25K mileage. As we took it for a test drive the salesman Gary told us this story how this was a very very upscale neighborhood and these cars are pristine and that rich peoples nannies used the cars to shuffle kids around (does this sound familiar to anyone?) While parking the car we noticed that the mileage was actually 27.5K miles, and the 2nd car which was listed at 29K miles, we asked to turn on and check and it was 33K miles! I'm sure it was obvious that we liked the color and interior color of the car with the 33k. Exhausted and not wanting waste a trip we asked for the prices, The car with 33K was $1500 more having the same make and model. When asking why, the salesman said that it "came in that way" refusing to elaborate. When we asked why there was a difference of 4K miles from what was listed on the website and on the window sticker we were told that they were demo models driven by sales reps. Finally we cornered Matt, who said he was more worried about the so called "missing car" than helping us out.Then told us we should be grateful that he was there, because he was supposed to leave at 5pm. After leaving 2 voice mails and an email to have a credit app faxed to us ahead of time (considering a 1 1/2 hour drive) we finally left a message for Dave the general manager who apologized and had the assistant sales manager Matt call us back. Matt promised to take care of us personally.When we got there Matt promptly handed us off to a salesman and disappeared. We emailed in the morning to confirm that 2 cars we were interested in were still available. After a 1 1/2 hour drive one car was unavailable and the 2nd car mysteriously disappeared. The next step was to show us 2 other cars. The first car was listed at 25K mileage, but when we turned it on it was 27.5K miles, and the 2nd car which was listed at 29K miles, we asked to turn on and check and it was 33K miles. It was $1500 more having the same make and model. When asking why, the salesman said that it came in that way refusing to elaborate. When we asked why there was a difference of 4K miles from what was listed on the website and on the window sticker we were told that they were demo models driven by sales reps. We were given the same story as other customers about the upscale area and how the cars are used by rich peoples nannies to shuffle the kids around. Finally we cornered Matt who was more worried about the so called missing care than helping us out and we should be grateful that he was there, because he was supposed to leave at 5pm. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.

Sat morning I clicked on a link for more information on a car at this dealership listed on cars.com. Shortly after, I got an email from FRollo thanking me for contacting them and someone would be in touch with me shortly. Little did I know that was the only thanks I would receive. By Tuesday lunch I called them and spoke with Fred who promised to email us the credit app and any documentation we would need to purchase a used Honda accord we saw on their website after we hung up, so I could get time off from work and drive down Thursday. Wednesday night after leaving 2 voice mails and an email to request it again ahead of time (considering driving from CT) we finally left a message for Dave the general manager who called Thursday to apologized and had the assistant sales manager Matt call us back and we scheduled an appointment for Monday. Matt promised to take care of us personally.That morning Matt confirmed by email the two cars we were interested in were available. When we got there Matt promptly handed us off to a salesman and disappeared. After the 2 hour drive from CT, one car was unavailable and the 2nd car mysteriously disappeared too. The next step in the "set up" was to show us 2 other cars. The first car was listed at 25K mileage. As we took it for a test drive the salesman Gary told us this story how this was a very very upscale neighborhood and these cars are pristine and that rich peoples nannies used the cars to shuffle kids around (does this sound familiar to anyone?) While parking the car we noticed that the mileage was actually 27.5K miles, and the 2nd car which was listed at 29K miles, we asked to turn on and check and it was 33K miles! I'm sure it was obvious that we liked the color and interior color of the car with the 33k. Exhausted and not wanting waste a trip we asked for the prices, The car with 33K was $1500 more having the same make and model. When asking why, the salesman said that it "came in that way" refusing to elaborate. When we asked why there was a difference of 4K miles from what was listed on the website and on the window sticker we were told that they were demo models driven by sales reps. The price listed on Car.com is only the financing price and is only available if you finance through them with a $1,000 deposit. If you want to pay cash, you have to pay $2,000 more. These guys are shady, stay away. I don't know how they get away with this practice. You only find out these details if you visit their website or showroom. Buy from somewhere else.

I spent several days on the phone and email with multiple used car sales and "managers"/"assistant managers." In order to get their online price you MUST finance. I live out of state and was pressured to pay a "refundable" deposit in order to ensure the vehicle would be available to see when I arrived. After several requests, they WOULD NOT provide me written verification that the deposit would be refundable. Furthermore, I was offered maintenance records faxed to me prior to my visit, which I thought was a generous offer. However, instead of records, I received more requests for the deposit. I was told that due to the dealership's location in an affluent section of Long Island, every vehicle on the lot is pristine. Actually, what I found was that each vehicle I saw had scratches, dents, rust, peeling, holes in carpet and seats. The vehicle I inspected internally had buttons falling off and I could see through the windows of multiple vehicles that none had been cleaned internally. How do you NOT clean a car if you want to sell it?

Went there for an Odyssey that was listed on Cars.com, waited 20 minutes before someone approched me. Did not honor online pricing, wanted to add $4000 in deales fees to the online advertised price. Had no water for customers, you have to pay for water at a vending machine there. All new and used car shoppers, I urge you all not to make any purchase here. LIARS, SCAMMERS, VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

this was third dealer i chose to look at and will never go back there again and hope nobody else does either. Nothing but negative energy from the staff. Gary was some what pleasant at first even though he seemed like he just wanted to leave. Once we sat down to speak of cars i looked at there was no thought of slightly working price of car down. Once gary asked his boss everything went downhill from there, once again the dealer guy speaking down to you making you feel like you should not even be there tone and attitude. Also the two cars i looked at, one was crashed according to car fax and was slightly noticeable by motor knocking a bit and some interior paint peeling off. They had car listed at around 15600 meanwhile i previously checked online and same car at that dealer was 12999 at their dealer. I dont know if i did not look appropriate to them but obviously something was not right. There is no way i would pay 15600 for a fixer upper with 60k miles. 12500 maybe but that area was not even approached and was made to feel like i was not looking at the right car, i obviously know a lot more about cars since i work on them than these guys here looking to push people at high interest rate purchases. Lastly other car i looked at was even more money and let me not get started after i turned car on and heard nothing but mechanical problems with that motor. Just unbelievable place , cars were junk at high prices. I took my business elsewhere and now driving a great car at a phenomenal price so thanks for this horrible experience i guess or i would not of found the next dealer.

Drove over 1 hr to get car priced fairly. When got there told them was paying cash. They said internet price was for financing and that they would lose $1000. Eventually they gave me internet price. Other important info is their "delivery" fee of $1200 add onto any advertised price. Other places charge $500 to $800. Hence why their internet prices are lower than most. Once you know these facts going in to this dealer the people who work their were nice and helpful. Not trying to rip you off. Typical trying to get you to do service contract which you should avoid.

Went to buy a used car. Once they hear used they steer you out of the building to a shabby old trailer across the parking lot. They refuse to honor their online prices, state that $2500 'down payment' not included on EVERY internet price, plus they add a bunch of other fees ('deal fees' not incl. registration or taxes) - "they said 'we need to make money so we add these fees, all dealers do it so we can too". Also go there at 8, they closed at 9, but wouldn't let me test drive, said 'plates were locked up'. I traveled an hour to get there as that their prices looked great. Should have figured it was a scam.

After many bad experiences with car dealerships who were shady or untrustworthy, Jay was willing to show up 4 different cars and take multiple for a drive. After deciding which of the 4 we liked best, Jay and the team were very upfront about everything we were paying for and even went as far to show us how good of a deal we were getting with comparative information. The only downside of the experience was the time it took after we decided on the car, all that paperwork, cleaning the car, etc took a really long time. But I think that's part for the course.

When my lease was up on my Accord in March, I returned to North Shore Honda and it was like visiting old friends. The entire staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. BILL, JACK Walsh and EDDIE were my main point of contact and they patiently worked with me while I weighed my options (Accord or CRV? lease? buy? color?!) I visited several times - and pestered them with numerous questions - before making my final decision to lease the CRV in Kona coffee. Each time I visited they provided excellent customer service and I highly recommend this dealership. Alas, 3 months after acquiring my new CRV, someone dented & scratched my door! GRRRR. I was very upset and I went to NS Honda to see what can be done. The Service Manager JaCK G. was super helpful, and both Bill & Jack assisted me as well.JaCK G. ensured that my dent was fixed and the paint was touched up and I was more than satisfied with the final outcome. The best part was that it cost me a fraction of what I thought it would!!! :)Seriously, this dealership is amazing in all departments - sales, service, finance and their customer service is A+++.

They always make you feel like you are part of the family. There is never any pressure. Found a vehicle online that I had interest in. After calling and confirming the jeep was still available I drove 45 minutes to see it and test drive it. Seemed to be in good shape, came home and decided to move forward. Called and spoke to Gary Reis and told him I would like to leave a deposit to hold it and asked to have the vehicle inspected at a local jeep dealership. For some reason, Gary was concerned about having a jeep dealership do the inspection which should have been a bright red flag. That evening I decided to research the dealership further and found a few reviews warning of a bait and switch. Based on these reviews I thought it would be prudent to over communicate to ensure I didn't get caught in a bad situation like some of the other reviewers had warned. The following day I called Gary to see where we were othe process and he finally said there was an issue. He advised that since I wanted to pay cash and not finance the jeep the dealership wanted more money. Based on the reviews I read I guess I wasn't that surprised. The most concerning thing to me is that my financial information was taken despite them knowing that I was intending to pay one price (asking price) that they never intended to honor. I strongly recommend to not do business with to dealership as there are others that are far more honest.

Our recent experience of purchasing a pre-owned Honda CR-V was a very positive one. The staff was honest, friendly, and professional. The vehicle was appropriately represented, very fairly priced, and beautifully serviced for preparation of re-ownership. Their ultimate goal is to see the customer completely comfortable and secure with their choice. At first we took delivery of a vehicle which was the base-model in the interest of saving money. After taking it home and living with it for less than 24 hours, we regretted not having purchased the mid-model which affords you some upgraded features. We immediately contacted them with our concerns and went back to pick another model within their inventory. Pre-Owned Vehicle Salesman (Jason Godsmark) and General Manager (David Haber) could not have been more understanding and accomodating in making this prompt exchange for us. We are very much relieved and happy with this important purchase, and highly recommend this dealership. We will continue the relationship in the future when it comes time to lease another new minivan.

This may be the worst car dealer I've ever dealt with. The salesman knew nothing about the cars; I mean grossly ignorant. The assistant manager who came over, presumably to help out his ignorant salesperson sounded like he knew what he was talking about, but he was just BSing. Once they discovered I was interested in something other than a mainstream Honda, they clearly had no intention of wasting their time with me. And the salesman from the next desk told my friend to get out of the chair because he needed it. As it turned out, they weren't going to need it for us as we departed immediately.Stay away from these people!

Dealing with John Schroeder and Barry while searching for our 2013 Honda CR-V was enjoyable and stress-free, for a change. John and Barry worked with my husband originally, describing and showing the features of the car, test driving, and discussing price. Later that day, I visited the dealership, and was warmly welcomed. John was busy with another customer, but Barry stepped right in to have the car model we were considering brought down and provided a key for us to look over the car while we waited for John. When John was free, he reviewed all the features of the car and led me on a very adequate test drive. Being satisfied with the car, we settled on a color and worked on paperwork for no more than a half hour. John and the staff at North Shore Honda prepared all of the paperwork so when I picked the car up four days later, I was in and out within an hour and a half. At least 30-45 minutes was spent going over the car's features and trying to sync my phone to the Bluetooth in the car. Again, on the day of pick-up, John was on a test drive with another customer, so Michael was prepared to get me into the car and begin going over each feature until John arrived and finished to demonstration. I was very impressed with how the team of salesmen work together so that customers don't have to stand around waiting. Everyone at this dealership seems to make it a point to get customers into the car they are interested in and take care of paperwork efficiently and effectively so customers don't spend hours of time waiting to sign papers and get on their way.I look forward to having my new Honda serviced at North Shore Honda and hope the Service Dept. is as friendly, efficient, and professional as the sales staff and will take excellent care of my car!I was never a Honda owner before, but this experience has been nothing but positive! Thanks for a great experience and a beautiful car!

Have been a customer of NS Honda for close to 20 years. Their attention to customer service is unparalleled. From Harold in sales to Jack and Carlo in service, I haven't had a situation that was not resolved to my satisfaction. When our '04 CRV blew its A/C condenser last year, requiring the complete replacement of the A/C system, Carlo was able to convince the corporate office that they should honor a just expired recall notice as I was a preferred customer. Those efforts saved me over $2000 in repair costs. They may not be the cheapest dealership around, but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" and the slight difference in price is more than made up for by their continued efforts well after the contract is signed. I made the mistake of buying a car elsewhere once and vowed never to make that mistake again.

I found Jack and Bill to be helpful, courteous, patient and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions in full detail. Nothing that I asked was too much for them to do. They were totally centered on making the process as stress free as possible. I truly appreciated that. My old car died and my friend Danny and I went to North Shore Honda because Danny bought his Accord several years ago there. I was a little nervous buying a preowned car but I was put at ease while talking to Andrew. He was professional and friendly. He showed me a 2010 Honda Civic which I fell in love with right away. Then I met with Brian and he also was so professional and friendly. He explained how th financing works (since I have never had a car loan before) Brian explained every thing in detail so there were no questions or doubts after the fact.I am very satisfied with my purchase and the buying process. I have been a life long North Shore resident. I have been going to North Shore Honda for as long as I can remember. I bought my car back in 2008, a Civic. I have been bringing my car there for service on a regular basis. They always have a good service special going on either for Oil Changes or whatever.when i bought my car, I dealt dirctly with the GM, Dave Haber. Dave is a great guy, he did the right thing by me with Price and a even better deal on the extended warranty.Bottom line, I would highly recommend North Shore Honda to any one of my friends or family. We went to North Shore Honda because we were familiar with the location. Upon entering we were greeted in a professional and courtious manor. We were somewhat familiar with the vehicle as we had done research online. Harold guided us through the process answering all of our questions. We decided to lease and we are really glad we did. My wife LOVES the car and if all goes well we will be leasing another one from there. The entire dealership seems friendly. I have bought many cars new and used over the last 20 years. I have never had such an awful experience than with the used car manager Fred. He said the salesman should not have taken my deposit because the advertised price was wrong and he would not honor that price, even though the salesman wrote the order and took the deposit and ran my credit, scheduled for me to pick up the vehicle. I sat around waiting for the finance person to finalize and pick up, but Fred waited for me to tell him I would not purchase the extended warranty, to tell me he needed 1000 dollars more to complete the deal!! This is very POOR business ethics and inspite of purchasing a new car there 8 months ago, I will not recommend this dealer EVER!! What good is a contract if they or I could change the terms at anytime we want???? As a follow -up, I did receive a call from Dave Haber General Manager. He was very apologetic and tied to make me happy, but interestingly did not give me the original deal! It was not a large difference from what he offered but since he was going to the trouble of trying to fix my experience I thought he would make me happy with the original deal! I was disappointed and did not take the deal because of the terrible experience I had. I hope they do not try to do this to another customer, especially one who just bought a new vechicle 8 months ago!!

RUN! All I can say is take your money and spend it elsewhere. Typical old school slimey used cars sakesman games. The internet price is only good if you finance through them, otherwiseit goes up 3-5k. If they don't get you on the price they will get you in the finance office EddieIs a pro at pressure tatics "buying down" the interest rate if you agree to get the extended warranty. Was had by them once but that was on me. Actually gave them another shotafter my car was totaled but was quickly reminded how slick they were when the sales manager gave me a price and I went back the next day and he recinded his offer. How can you run a businessIn this manner? Absolutely despicable! Went way out of my way and drove an 1 1/2hrs to Apple Honda in Rivehead andCouldn't have been happier with the price, respect and incredible service I received.

Seemed to be getting a good deal on a used car. Took forever to get the car ready for delivery. When items promised on the bill of sale were not completed, they didn't want to know me. They were sure happy to accept my check... once it cleared, they couldn't care less. No wonder they get all these bad ratings. I would not have purchased from them. *** They had a good referral and they blew it. I WOULD NEVER REFER SOMEONE TO NORTH SHORE HONDA. --- I wish I had read the DealerRater review before I had purchased the car.

Do not buy extended Warranty from North shore honda, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL because they will unknowingly make you sign an agreement that if you CANCEL HONDA CARE, NORTH SHORT HONDA will charge you their extended warranty. I waited for about 5-10 before anyone helped me. Then the service guy helped someone who came in after me first. The waiting area was very warm and uncomfortable. The bathroom was small and dirty. When I made the appt, I told them someone had rear ended me and would need an inspection to assess the damage and get an estimate. I went to the appt and then all they did was a quick visual inspection and a vague estimate. They said they would need to start taking it apart to really tell and it was too late in the day for that. That I really should take it to a body shop. I said well, why didn't they tell me that when I made the appt? He said he didn't know. I asked if they at least made a list of anything they did see. They did not. I also had an oil change while there, which is supposed to include a multi-point inspection. I got no information on that either. I recommend to anyone to go somewhere else for service. Worst experience ever!

It took me well over 2 hours of travel time to get to this dealership (SHAME ON ME!) and this hack talked me out of leasing a new car in 5 minutes. He didn't offer me a test drive, he was unpleasant, his appearance was shoddy at best, he was extremely unprofessional, and quite frankly he was a d!ck. I think he was turned off by the fact that I had brought in an ad from the paper, little did he know I was willing to purchase a car outright after my test drive. Although he never offered me a test drive he just inflated the Ad price to 3X. He acted as if he couldn't be bothered and for that he lost a sale. I've since purchase my new accord from Plaza Honda. Harold, you are a hack! Another thing I thought was cute, when he asked me if he could help me, I said sure I'd like some more infomation on the ad in yesterdays paper. He had a print out of an Ad, not the same one, one with much higher #'s. I guest selling cars you kind of have to be a sh!tbird...

We chose to return to North Shore Honda after being very satisfied with our previous purchase at this dealer five years ago. Our salesperson, John S., helped us back then with the purchase of our 2007 Civic, and it was a pleasure to have him assist us again for our new CR-V! His sales style is so comfortable for us, since he basically lets the automobile sell itself. When there is a question, he is very knowledgeable and honest with his answers. When it comes time for the numbers, he is just as professional, and we once again felt that he would do his best in order for us to be completely satisfied with all facets of our purchase. Upon delivery, John was just as friendly, helpful and informative. Also working with us on our purchase was Manager Barry Stamblek. Barry was a true gentleman, and when we realized that we would have to postpone the delivery by a few days due to a personal matter, he was very understanding and gracious. That is one of the wonderful things about this dealership - we never felt any pressure or sense of obligation. They really do try to work with the customer to make the buying experience as pleasurable as possible. The same could be said for Finance Director Eddie Hass. We never felt pressured into buying any additional items that we were not interested in. he was very honest and straightforward about the pricing, and his knowledge of all of these items and services was impressive. It was a pleasure to have Eddie Hass finalise our purchase.We would highly recommend North Shore Honda, and we will be sure to return when the time comes to purchase our next new or used Honda for our son. Everyone we've dealt with from Amber(Business Development) who picked up the phone to Harold Wagner(Salesperson) to Eddie Haas(Finance Mgr), were very professional and friendly. Amber provided great over the phone customer service and in person greeting. Harold was not pushy at all and gave us a great price on the 2012 Honda CR-V EX 4WD upfront. Eddie did his job of offering us the extended warranty and when we declined he understood and was not pushy about it. He also got us a good finance rate from chase.Harold was very patient with us as we spent the whole day dealing with the insurance to get the car out. Overall, I was very impressed with the service we received on that day (This is coming from somebody who worked in 2 dealerships before). In return, we gave them a spot delivery. Stay as far away from dealer as you possibly can. These are the reason for the stereotype "Used Car Salesman" adjective. I went in for a used Accord advertised at 18,900. I found it strange that the car I went in for is the first car parked exactly in front of the shop out of hundres of new and used cars they have. The salesman was a out of work realtor who knew nothing about cars and all he talked about was the new house he was trying to sell. He had no answer for any of my questions. And here comes the best part:After a short test drive we return to the shop and I ask for an offer, the salesman comes back from his little chat with his boss to tell me that not only they cant offer me a better than sticker price , but he is actually raising the price to 21,900 !!!.That's when I realized the car is the proverbial bait and after googling these crooks I found this site. Nothing posted here surprised me a bit since I experienced it first hand. Be warned and dont waste your time on these dishonest jerks, I found my dream car at Platinum V.W. in Hicksville.

The worst experience I had at this dealer. Went in looking for a used car. Negotiate the price and when we took a test drive, we felt some noise. It was agreed that they will fix it and we left a deposit so that they could process loan.. when we got back next day to pick the car the problem was not fixed and kept arguing that there is no problem. We decided to drop the deal. They disagreed to give back the deposit and trouble us a lot.They behaved very badly and abused us. Atlast ended up paying half of the deposit. I would never recommend this place even if someone get a car for a cheaper price. you will loose your peace of mind if you buy a car here... Better look for other good dealers. Dont waste your time and money.

This place is a scam. They advertise a price and when you are ready to make a deal they attempt to pull a fast one by trying to hit you up with what are ILLEGAL FEES in the state of NY. The only fees that are legal in NY are Doc fee which cannot be higher than $75, NY State inspection which is $37 for a pre-owned vehicle and plates. These scam artists at North Shore tried charging us a $395 Transportation Fee which is an illegal fee and a $495 dealer preparation fee which is another illegal fee. Anyone who has paid North Shore these illegal fees, I suggest you contact Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau, or the Attorney General's office.

I came in twice to lease a new Honda Civic and each time was confronted with the Sales Manager "Diana". Upon coming in with my stepfather, there were less problems, but she tried to take advantage of me when I came in alone. She changed the terms of the lease and then began screaming at me when I challenged several numbers on the financing. After taking on the lease, my brakes began screeching in 6 months. I brought it to the dealership and they accused me of driving "like a maniac" and braking too hard, which is ridiculous. This should have been covered under the warranty. I had to spend several hundred dollars to fix the brakes only 6 months after the lease. I can't wait until this North Shore Honda nightmare is over.

Avoid this dealer!! I wanted to get an used Honda and I left a deposit of $500 (which btw it's not writen anywhere that I should pay it) and they insured me written and verbal that I will get my money back if I don't agree with there financing. So they offered me a high rate and moreover I found the same NEW car to another dealer for only $500 more and a lower interest. When I told them that I am not interested in buying the car they became very nasty, they hung up the phone on me and insured me that I will not see my deposit back. I finally got my $500 after 1 month when I filled out a "dispute of charge" with my credit card company so the bank helped me out. Never give them a deposit! Plus they came up with some extremly high filling fee($120), dealer fee($375), transportation fee ($450 for an used car!?-that's a lot!). Finally I got the new car from another dealer who treated me as they should.

i called the dealership and asked upfront if there were any fees BOB lied and told me there were none. So i went to go look at the car they tried to charge me 3 different BS fees. I then left a deposit after i settled for the price and asked 3 different people if i would get the low rate they said it was subject to my credit. i called the next day they were giving me a high BS rate and said i could only get the special price online price. Watch out they try to trick you any chance they get.

I was shopping for a used Civic and after visiting 4 dealers in Queens and Long Island, I stumbled on a car on NS web-site. The salesman Bob I dealt with was friendly and not pushy. Used car mgr. Mike was very friendly and professional. The price was pretty low except for those annoying prep and transport fees which they said they couldn't avoid. I even spoke to a salesman from another dealer while purchasing this car and he even agreed that I got an excellent deal. The overall process was smooth with financing also. Eddie did a good job in moving it along. I would definitely purchase from NS Honda again.

They asked for a deposit in order to get the financing started. They told me the deposit is refundable if I do not like the financing options. They offered high interest rates and refused to return my deposit after I refused their offer. They are crooks, stay away. There are several other dealers in the area that will treat you better.

Diana Z. charged me with high interest through their financing since its "mandatory" to buy the posted price. They sold me an extended warranty which in not even a Honda Care warranty, it was a third party Wachovia with a price tag of $2195!!! Wish me luck in returning this warranty and get it credited through their financing. Please do not buy from this money making scheme dealer.

I did my research online and call the person about price for a honda civic pre-owned. I take my finacee there and get hold of the same customer rep so there is no confusion. He shows me the civic in the lot and i tell i want to test drive but he insists on sitting down first. He goes back and forth several times talks with his manager - i told him I am looking to pay $13K and it was priced at $14.5K online and then he comes back that he will not be able to do since there are charges that he hasnt told me. So he along with his manager jacks the prices on me. (Delivery cost + Dealer cost) = can you believe that! the car is a second hand and is sitting in the LOT what is the delivery cost? So they jack up at least another $1K on me and give me $15.5K price and ask me where I want to be. I WAS SO MAD WITH THEIR ATTITUDE - REALLY MADE MY DECISION EASY TO GO WITH TOYOTA WHO HAD NO HIDDEN CHARGES POLICY

At the onset of our car buying experience, our salesman, Charles Gordon, was patient, fully answered our questions, and encouraged us to do our research. He made himself available throughout the process of purchasing the vehicle and has provided consultation with our questions since then. Unfortunately, our experience with car delivery, pick up and financing were less than desireable. The dealship had a difficult time locating the appropriate vehicle and did not keep us updated regarding its status. We had to constantly contact the sales manager, Barry Stambleck. When the car was finally delivered, we discovered that it had been driven from Connecticut, accruing over 100+ miles. Moreover, the gas was not replenished. Our salesman, Mr. Gordon, offered his apologies and has promised that the dealer will reimburse us for the used gas upon our first service visit. I chuckled when he said this - -With regard to financing, Diana Z. was less than cordial and overly sarcastic when attempting to solidfy our financing terms. Despite agreeing to inital terms, a last-minute deal was offered to us in favor of a higher rate in exchange for a reduced car price. Our inquiries about this proposal were met with frustration and vague answers. This almost led to cancelling the deal with North Shore and going to Honda City in Levittown.While we are happy with our vehicle choice, this experience was certainly unexpected since we returned to North Shore Honda (instead of Honda City in Levittown) for its usual stellar customer service that we had in 2007. Honda City provided a similar sales experience AND had our vehicle ON-SITE, yet, based on our prior positive experience with NS-H, we decided to return.While the overall experience was above average, it should be noted that our grading is heavily weighed through inital phases of the process. I would hesitate to recommend NS-H to others.

I'll cut to the chase and give you the facts:-Got to the dealship at 9:30amm (keep this in mind)-Working with the salesman James was pleasant, he was helpful and patient.-The price I was quoted was fair-Was told by the finance shit head Sergio that since I was buying a car with high mileage (80K) my loan of 6900$ wouldnt be approved unless it was "SECURED" with a warranty. I laughed and knew what where this was going. My credit score is above 800 BTW and the warranty was 1700$ for a 7000$ car11:45am-After I told him Im going else where the GM got involved and told me he got me a "super deal"..Saw another finance shit head Diana..Still had the warranty but was 5$ less a month..At this point I wanted to explode.-Told her I want my deposit back..*poof* magically approved with a 645$ bank fee.-Not paying bank fee..got it down to 200$-LEFT the dealership at 3:30pm with a sour taste in my mouth..Wouldnt have bought this car if it wasnt extremely clean. Would never go back.

Dave Haber the finance guy is a total scam artist. All he does is make up BS on the extended warranty and low interest rates. He said if I didn't get the extended warranty then I wouldn't be able to get the car at the price I agreed to and the interest rate would be a lot higher. I called Corporate Honda to complain and they said they'll put it in the file and there's not much they can do. Since they can't or won't do anything, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully, some action will be taken and people will not be taken advantaged of. Buyers beware!!!! Stay away from this dealership unless you want to get ripped off.

They were not honest with me as far as extra charges and fees. I asked about them and was told there were none. After John and myself agreed on the price, Diana hit me up with other charges. When I questioned her she told me the sales people are not allowed to let the customers know, she said somthing about privacy.

I was in the market for a new civic and ended up walking away with an '08 accord coupe demo. I love the car and have had few problems with it. The dealership kept offering a price, and then when it was broken down into monthly payments the numbers weren't matching. If i didn't have a finance calculator in my phone I would have been screwed. I actually needed to walk over to the finance manager and go line for line showing that my number was accurate; I would have paid them an extra 30+dollars a month! They claimed they were "looking at the wrong line on the finance chart." A week after i bought the car, the manager who sold it to me was no longer employed there. A month later the guy I dealt with in the finance dept was also gone. I discovered recently after a tire pressure light came on, on my dash that I was never given the car's manual. I'm on my 4th phone call so far trying to get ahold of it. When all was said and done, the car is great,the deal was good, but i'm using a different dealership to service my vehicle. I don't really trust these jokers...

I left a $300.00 deposit on a new accord.......decided not to take the vehicle. During the process, David Haber was very aggresive and demeaning when trying to sell me add-ons......especially an alarm! When I told him I wasn't going to take the car, I arrived at the dealer to get my deposit returned. David told me I would have to wait 7 to 10 days and it would be mailed to my home...... Well, its been three (3) weeks and still have not received my refund. When I called to inquire where the refund check was, I was told I would have to wait until the owner did payroll and they would call me to let me know when I can pick-up the check......WHAT a BUNCH of BS!!! For your own good, under no circumstances should you use this dealership.....THEY LIE!!!

These people are there to only serve rich white folks. They are not there to help you buy a car but to rip you off with as much money as possible. If they know they cannot make big money off you then your not welcome in their store. I would never recommend them to an average joe. With the economy like this this dealership can play their games. I walked out of the store and purchased my car at a dealership in queens on the same day!!!!

I bought a Pilot on advertised special on 2/27/09. Picked out the car, signed the aggreement, gave a deposit and was told I'd be contacted by the lease manager later that day. Mr "telephone tough guy", Dave Haber, called me to tell me I was only qualified for tier 2 credit at a ridiculous price because my fico is under 700. I immediatetly got my scores online. My score ranges from 768 to 793 with the big 3 agencies. Got my money back. They can keep their car. Say bye bye to my money North Shore Honda. Everybody knows your name!

Harold and Barry were great to deal with.Dave Haber flat out lied to us about the car alarm. I asked him directly whether my prior car had this option. He pretended to look for the paperword and simply lied. I went home and dug up the paperwork. This goes beyond aggressive in my view.

This dealer was the best i have ever deal with. I bought a 2005 Honda accord, Wayne made sure that the car met all my expectations, I explained what i what i wanted and the monthly payments i can do, he showed me different cars that i can work with, i found a car with low miles and the price was a bargain believe i did my resear online and i had been to other dealers. I admit it, i can be picky then again if i'm paying a lot of money i want to get the best for what i pay. The car i picked had some cosmetics issues that would of brake the deal, for instance i didnt like the back seat of the car it was ripped, Wayne didnt hesitate to swap it, he completely had the car detailed inside and out, he made it as if it was better than new. the service was great, it was all about customer satisfaction. I will definitely recommend this dealer to anyone, if you go you should make sure you talk to Wayne he will take care of you.

I live out of state and bought Certified Honda Odyssey from North Shore Honda. I had several issues with the dealer. 1. When the Van was finally got delievered, it had extra 150 milesAFTER purchasing the vehicle. 2. The dealer automatically charged $375 as a prep fee but floor, dashboard, seats were dirty as if they had never been cleaned. I was told that they would clean the vehicle but it was dirty all over with stains on the wall, etc in plain eye sight view places. There were trashes on the floor and inside sliding door pockets, such as wrapping paper, tissues etc.3. Washer Fluid was almost empty even though all fluids must be topped off if it is a certified Honda Vehicle. 4. 150 Inspection Check list, Carfax, Headphones for the DVD player, Navigation DVD were never provided when it was delievered. I was told by the salesperson that everything he mentioned when we made the deal over the phone would be included, but upon delivery they were missing.5. Their Sales Manager, Wayne Rice was ok at first but then became rudewhen I explained the situation on the phone. Since I bought it over the internet and cannot bring it over to show them in person, they were not going to trust anything I ttold that I had problem with. I am honest and I NEVER ever tried to ripped off people. They did not provide the quality service and product they promised and I wanted them to make things right but since I am not local(and my credit union already paid for it), they are not going to do a thing to make things right. Never faxed or sent a copy of inspection check list until I had to call so many times. I want a formal apology from the sales manager for being rude and not providing the quality service and accusing me that I could've staged the pictures when I told him that I have taken several pictures to prove that things were not done right

Went to dealer becasue they were advertizing great deal on lease of new Honda Pilot. Sales person Jack behaved in an very abrupt, unprofessional manner. Tried to close the deal with Harold, who promised to call when they get the car in, never called back. I left a $500 deposit, on 11/9/08, two weeks later, the are still looking for the car. No one ever calls you back, finally, I called and said I would take which ever car they have on their lot today. They said the person doing the lease is not here this weekend, I have to wait till Monday for them to call me to do the leasing agreement! Since the agreement says I must take delivery by 11/25, I think they are trying to play games and reneg on the deal and jack up the price. In the mean time, they've got my deposit. Stay away from this dealer, unless you are able to buy the car in the lot, otherwise, you are in for a long haul, if you have the time for it...

I just purchased a 2008 Honda Civic LX from North Shore Honda. Prior to going to this dealership I had visited at least 4 others in the area and every single one tried to rip me off. By the time I got to North Shore Honda I was prepared for anything! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the Sales Manager (Barry Stambleck) and spoke briefly with him to tell him exactly what car I was looking for. I had seen an advertisement in the paper the same morning indicating a clearance special on the car I was looking for but I did not mention this as I was very curious to see how honest they would be. To my surprise - Barry showed me the ad! Harvey was the sales person who I dealt with from that point on and he was so straight forward about everything - it was really a welcome relief - and I bought the car on the spot. No tricks, no lies, no "extra fees" and I got the best price around. I would definitely reccomend this dealer to friends and family but be sure to be completely educated about the car you are looking to purchase!

I just purchased a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe and took delivery on 3/31/08. This is the 3rd car that I have purchased from North Shore Honda for myself. My mother, sister and sister in law have also made purchases at this dealer. Harvey Sherman has been my salesman for the last 2 deals that I have made. North Shore has always been a pleasant experience for me. Harvey is very good, no BS or pushy sales gimmicks, just an honest deal. I have been to some of the other Honda dealers listed on this site and I have walked away with the same impressions. Not at North Shore, the sales staff has always treated me well and I can not complain about them. Negotiating a price at North Shore is really easy if you know what you want and how much you want to pay. The financing has always been straight forward, Dave will push the accessories and warrantees however when I say no, he does not push it. I can not say anything bad about him he has always treated me well. I find a lot of what I read about him very surprising, but I guess you have to read everything before you sign it, that is just common sense. I am not excusing that behavior if it is true, but no one should ever sign anything unless they read it and check it for accuracy. I have never had an issue with interest rates being tied to purchasing accessories or lease payments changing from the originally agreed price the day I made a deal with the salesman. The delivery was excellent. Jose brought my car out for Harvey and went over it to make sure that everything was 100%, wiping away some water marks and some dust on the dashboard. Harvey was really good about making sure that I was happy. He went over every paper before I signed and gave me the time I needed to read everything before I signed; as usual everything was in order. When I got the keys to the car, Harvey showed me that the car was gassed up and handed me the keys. He did not fuss about going over every thing and how it works, it is a car, I have owned other Honda vehicles before I know how they works and if I don't I'll read the manual. I hate when salesmen want to show you how to turn the radio on or how to roll down the windows, it is not like you are buying a space ship, it is pretty basic.I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone, but I also must stress that it does not matter what dealer you go to if you do not do your homework you are asking for trouble.

I had the same experience as Alex844 below. I just purchased my car 3 weeks ago. I have tried a few times to resolve this situation with David Haber over the phone. Last week, I asked him to amend the charges and to cancel the extended warranty. He said that he couldn't amend the selling price (which was over by $2195) but he would be able to cancel the warranty which was itemized ($895). There was absolutely no breakdown of the selling price increase. He jacked up the selling price and claimed it was the extra cost of the warranty and he had to do this in order for me to get a low interest rate. I told him I didn't care if my interest rate was high. I no longer wanted the "warranty" and requested again to have this adjusted. He began to get frustrated and said he "didn't want to talk about this anymore" and hung up on me. It appears to be a common practice with this dealership. I only wish I knew about this earlier. Any suggestions on what to do next?

My buying experience was okay until I came across David Haber, he sold me an extended warranty for $2,195.00 which was to be included in the financing. A week later I decidied to cancel the contract for a full refund since it was less than 60 days. However David Haber ran a scam on me & said I was only entitled to $995.00, the amount he wrote on the contract. I live over 50 miles from the dealership, it was late and I was so anxious to leave that I did not bother to thoughly review the additional paperwork. There were two sales forms, the first one was accurate but the second one which I signed without reviewing had an extra $1200.00 slipped into the purchase price. A week later when I questioned David Haber about the difference, he said the only way he was able to provide me the interest rate he gave me was by making the contract out for $995.00 even though he said I was paying $2195.00 for it and putting the other $1200.00 into the vehicle purchase price. Or else he as he put it my rate would have been at 11%. Mind you, at time of purchase I had walked in there with an Eloan check with a rate of 7.45% but that was not acceptable to this dealership. So I went with their financing. It's been two months since I requested contract cancellation through the dealership and after there weeks of the contract sill being active I decided to cancel it myself with the warranty company over a month ago. The contract has since been canceled but it falls upon ths issuing dealer to refund the money to the lien holder and so far no monies have been refunded. I have a small claims trial pending in Nassau County.

I gave a deposit to purchase a new CRV. The salesman told me he would find the car I wanted and call me in 2-3 days. No one ever called me. I finally called after 4 days and was told another 3 days or so to find my car. Again I waited 5 days and no call. I went to another dealership and had the car I was looking for in 1 day. I asked NS Honda for my deposit back and after 6 weeks I still have not recieved it. I've filed with the consumer protection board after not getting any answers from the manager. I wrote a letter to the dealer principal and still nothing. My next step would to take them to court. I would NEVER ever reccomend this dealership to any one...

This is a lousy dealer.... we wanted to buy a pre-owned Honda Civic '06 and pre-paid some on a C.C. to go next week and buy in full,(We live 100 miles away) UNTIL, this dealer said there will be additional charges of $647.00 for "prep" and "shipping"! Not only that but it was told to us a day AFTER $500.00 was put on the C.C. for a down payment to "hold" the car until we could get there. Both the Used car manager "Bill, and New car manager "Mike" were unbelievably FRESH! both worked me up and were argumentative! They would not take the additional charges off. They had bad attitudes and told me to "Go buy the car somewhere else" and "Have a nice life"!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER TO ANYONE EVER!!!One more thing I Just picked up a '04 Civic from Volvolville USA yesterday and wasn't charged any such fees as NORTHSHORE HONDA/SAAB "tried" to. Hm? Makes you wonder what else they are doing that's dishonest. I say to NORTHSHORE Honda/Saab...YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND EMBARRASSED by your greed, trying to squeeze someone for an additional MADE-UP fee. SHAME ONE YOU! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER....oh yeah they wouldn't budge on the regular price either!!! Bunch of greed mongers!

They like to play games at this dealership. Had a couple of bad experiences here and will not be returning.<br><br>As someone else mentioned, all manager David Haber wants to do is sell you an extended warranty or an overpriced $500 alarm. He is extremely aggressive and pushy and very unpleasant to deal with.<br><br>They took two months to refund a deposit as well, only after they were threatened with legal action.<br><br>I would recommend avoiding this place. Try PS Honda.<br><br>

After we signed the contract, manger David Haber was only interested to sell us EXTENDED WARRANTY, not even one word to explain to us what 'HONDA CERTIFIED PREOWNED' is already covered.<br><br>3. MISSING ITEMS from DAY 1, sale Sidney Skolnick promised to delivered the missing items "IN A FEW DAYS". We called them every few days to check status, we never got a straight answer. After 10 days, we decided to take a trip to the dealer. When we got there, we were still getting the sabatage answer. We refused to leave without any promised paper work (we insisted them to place an order for my missing items, and we wanted to have that parts order number). Well, all of a sudden, all the missing items are found.
