Lease was up on my vehicle. Ade was a fantastic sales rep. Friendly and very knowledgeable of all Mazda vehicles. He spent a lot of time with me going over safety details of each vehicle as well as pricing. Joe the manager was terrific. Great guy very honest and understanding. He got me into a new lease at a lower payment and kept me within my budget. Thank you Ade and Joe. Thank you Open Road Mazda.

Amazing, amazing experience. Never thought a car buying experience could be pleasant, but everyone at Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick made this such a pleasant experience, especially at 9 months pregnant. Mark was our salesperson and he was very patient, very honest, and worked with us to get exactly what we needed. He did not try to play games, even with the market right now. From Mark to the finance manager, everyone worked with us to have us leave very happy! We have been shopping for a little while and went to a different Mazda dealer as well as DCH Honda of Old Bridge and neither experience left us happy. If you want to buy a car, go to Mark in East Brunswick! You won't regret it!

Mark Rodrigo was our salesman at Mazda this is our third lease with him . He always goes out of his way to help us . A 5 star isn’t enough for all he does . We wouldn’t go anywhere else and I have sent other people to him for all there car needs . The dealership is very friendly and also helpful.. and they should be proud to have Mark representing them . The manager goes the extra mile to satisfy everyone can’t say enough about this dealership.

Mark Rodrigo was great and awesome to work with. Never pressured me into anything that wasn’t unreasonable. They really do work with you here and was able to leave with the exact car I was looking for! CX9 Carbon Edition 2021!! Highly recommend seeing Mark if you’re in the market for a new ride!

I had the absolute BEST car leasing experience with Margaret Ferrara. I have never felt so comfortable at a car dealership. From the second I walked in to the second I left she provided me with the most honest and easy transaction. Compared to my previous experiences it was fast and she delivered on literally EVERYTHING I wanted. I felt like I was sitting with a friend who had my best interest in mind the entire time.

Having leased many vehicles, the most important aspects are price and good customer service. I was not that familiar with Mazda, and Marvin Sanchez provided excellent customer service and follow up, in addition to great numbers on the lease of a 2016 CX-5. I traveled a distance and Marvin made the process easy, along with Eric in the finance dept. I would recommend anyone in the market for a Mazda to see Marvin at Open Road in East Brunswick.

Terrible customer service, mainly by the Finance Manager. He was unprofessional with how he talked with us and had a downgrading tone as soon as he sat done. We overheard him talking to another customer the same way and she ending up walking out as well. If they continue to have him sit down with customers, they are going to keep loosing customers. The man didn't even go over any finance options and immediately began feeding off negative reasons as to why he would not work with us. We were just looking to discuss possible options but he had a demeaning attitude as soon as he started to talk to us. Overall, I will not be returning to this dealership; nor would I recommend anyone to come to this dealership.

I went to open road Mazda to look at a used 2014 CX5 which I had seen on the internet. The car was exactly as represented, which is unusual 4 used cars. The dealership, especially bike and Frank, more easy to deal with and workout a very fair deal with out any pressure or misrepresentation. I believe that they genuinely wanted to do the deal. I am very highly satisfied with my experience at Open Road Mazda and would certainly recommend them to anyone in central New Jersey looking for a Mazda vehicle.

A wonderful experience. I never been to a car dealership as smooth as this. NO sales pressure. Got me right into the vehicle (used) that I wanted for a test drive. Explained the details of the vehicle and the prior owner took very good care of the car. Worked with me with the final costs and all went smoothly. Frank your the Best and Mike your Great. I would recommend this dealership!!

Bought a new 2016 CX-5 AWD and worked with Mark Rodrigo. Mark was very understanding and easy to work with. I dealt with several dealerships before, but left after they played price games. Mark made the process enjoyable and quick. Left the dealership within couple hours and would buy there again.

Just bought a new 2015 Mazda 3 Grand Touring Sedan. Dealt with Jack and then Jay and all went well and got it at a great price. Left earlier a local delership in Woodbridge area that played all kinds of games with the price of the vehicle and then said there was some sort of communication issue as they tried to reneg on their quoted price once we agreed. With Open Road I found them to be extremely honest and upfront with everything. Will definitely buy again from this dealer.

THERE IS A FIRST FOR EVERYTHING!I am a 1st Time customer at Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick, but not a last! This marks the 1st I walked out of a dealership with a deal in less than an hour!By choice, I picked up my new 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring with the Technology Package 3-days later as promised. Our salesman, Brian Trainor, was unpretentious, conscientious, and forthright; everything you would want from a car salesman which is very hard to find these days. The dealership's General Manager, Leo Angelicola, was just a downright nice guy. NO BS! He came over to the salesmans desk spoke "with" me and not "to" me, call me over to his office, put all the figures into their lease calculator, turned the screen towards me so that I was able to see exactly how he was pricing the vehicle along with each and every item that was affecting the price of the lease. This is another 1st for me! The team of both Brain and Leo are unbeatable! Open Road is now my NUMBER ONE CHOICE dealership in New Jersey. Every salesman we dealt with in the past has always given us a price; then walked into the sales managers office and come back with another figure. Then it would be back-n-forth for hours upon hours (which could even go on for days upon days) which became a very aggravating and unpleasant experience but NOT at Open Road Mazda!I highly recommend BOTH Brian and if you get the opportunity to shake Leo's hand and meet "the man" you won't regret it! We must also applaud David, as he was also amazing. I walked into his office, signed all the paperwork, passed a few jokes back-n-forth and I was out of there in less than 20-minutes! (Another amazing feat by another genuine person)One last item to note; EVERYONE at the dealership was pleasant and nice; to other salesman that were concerned that I was not being helped to the Sales Manager (who was out when I got the opportunity to deal with Leo, the Manager). The showroom, albeit small, is almost completely redone and I am sure it will be nice once it is fully completed. Not to forget mention, I was offered coffee & soft drinks on 6-7 different occasions while I was there! Outstanding Customer Service!

I went into to purchase a used mazda3 for my son. Asking price was $15,500, I made a reasonable offer and the CAT & MOUSE GAME started. Our salesman had ZERO knowledge, however it was apparent he was just a puppet in their game. He returned with their counter offer with an out the door price of...........$18,900 Complete! I did the basic math, asking price of $15,500, plus NJ sales tax of $1085 come out to $16585, granted there would some additional costs for admin fees, registration and plates, but how can you justify spread of $2315. The salesman explained that their fees are in stone and everyone must pay them. I ask for him to explain, so he did, $795 advertising fee, $295 acquisition fee, $75 detail and wash fee...........STOP I said. I am looking at a USED car and even if I offer asking price there was NO WAY I would pay these crazy additional highway robbery fees. To make a long story short, I walked out and will never return again!!!! Do yourself a favor, run don't walk away from this dealer!!

Mark Rodrigo was the sales associate that we dealt with on the day we bought our 2015 Mazda CX-5. Our experience was a great one, as he was very pleasant and professional! Mark was up front and honest with all the prices and fees, that we will be incurring on our new vehicle. They didn't have the color we wanted on site. He quickly found a match for us and we where in our new car by the middle of that week. Every employee who walked by kindly offered us a beverage. This made our experience more relaxing. I will definitely buy my next vehicle from open road Mazda of East Brunswick and only hope Mark is still there to greet us at the door.

Whether I need a routine oil change or my car has a real problem I know my car and I will be well taken care of here. When it's a routine visit I'm in and out without issue or unexpected waiting. When something needs to be fixed I'm walked through what's needed and quoted a fair price, yes I consult Google and compare the experience of others with similar fixes. I don't mind who I deal with when I'm there but if I could choose Theresa Brown every time, I would. Whenever she helps me I leave feeling like my happiness in the work really mattered. I definitely recommend!

I just recently purchased my brand new 2015 Mazda 6 and i couldn't be happier with my experience. I work a ton of hours so time was very limited and being that i live in north NJ, Mazda of east brunswick wasn't really in my radar. I went to a few dealers in my area and with out naming names i had to say my drive to wayne and lodi were not pleasurable at all. I decided to dig a little deeper in my search and came across this dealer. I made a phone call and i believe the internet sales person Mark Rodrigo answered a few of my questions before i made my drive. When i finally arrived i was greeted by not only 1 salesperson but 2, Brian and a Mr. Rossman. Brian was a delight to work with. I didn't feel pressured and his product knowledge was TOP NOTCH!!!! It was pretty busy there being that it was a saturday, but they moved quickly without skipping a beat. I recommend anyone looking for a Mazda to Pleaseeeeeee give these guys a shot. You will not be disappointed!!

After contacting several local Mazda dealerships about purchasing a Mazda CX-9, I found my dream vehicle at Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick, which is a 2 hour drive from my home. I first spoke to Jack and we set up a test drive for a CX-9. My salesman, Mark Rodrigo, was great! Mark was super friendly, extremely professional and very patient in explaining the payment options and details about the vehicle. Of course, the car buying process is not a quick one, but it was made most pleasant by all of the friendly salespeople we met at Open Road all of whom stopped to talk to us and offer us refreshments while we waited. I love my "new" CX-9. It is in impeccable condition and I was lucky to find a fully loaded certified vehicle for an excellent price! I would most definitely highly recommend Open Road Mazda....ask for Mark!!!!!!!!! Thanks you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After inquiring on the Internet about a Mazda6 I was e-mailed almost immediately by Kyle who said he would be my Sales Consultant and help me throughout this process. I appreciated it but was skeptical because all dealers do this and say nonsense rices just to get the consumer in. Kyle reassured me that would not be the case with them and that they would honor whatever we discussed via e-mail. We went back and forth for 5 days he explained all the fees, how much monthly, how much down, and was incredibly prompt with his responses and never overbearing. I came in that weekend, drove the car, loved it, and the haggling was done because they did every price they said they would. I got my car that day and could not be happier with how everything turned out.

I just bought my new Mazda3 from Open Road Mazda in East Brunswick, and they were great, my salesman Kyle and the manager Eddie. I had done my homework with Truecar.com before I came into the dealership, so I knew what I wanted to pay. They matched the Truecar.com savings of about $2,500, immediately found the car from another dealer's inventory, and I bought the car in less than an hour, no hassle. They had the car on their lot the very next day. I highly recommend them for a great deal and a pleasurable car buying experience! My Mazda3 S Grand Touring car is fantastic!

I went here 2 weeks ago and bought a Mazda 3. I was working with multiple dealerships for quotes. Some guaranteed that they would beat any price that i got. Yet open road was the only ones that stayed true. They gave me a price with all the fees and taxes. Other places said they would beat the deal. Yet they couldn't give me an out the door price. Stupid me, I went to the other dealership and waited for them to beat my price. After 2 hours of waiting they finally came out and said that they said open road was lying to me and they cannot do the price they are saying. What a waste of time. When I went to open road they gave me the exact price that they said they would and were much more interested in my needs. I told them that I got a better price to see what they would say. They told me this was the best i could do and I was happy with it. It was the same price that they said from the beginning . Don't waste your time at these other dealers if they can't give you their price first .

I inquired about a mazda3 s online and I had Kyle as my sales associate. Unlike other places who gave me nonsense quotes Kyle gave me real quotes that included fees taxes and everything else that dealers charge. He was incredibly responsive and assured me the price I got from him online would translate to the price I got once I got there. I still had my doubts but sure enough when I got in there, everything was just as he said online. I filled out the paperwork and was on my way. He explained every feature the car has in detail and even set my phone up to work with my car. The sales manager Eddie made sure I got 2 years free maintenance with the car and they really just impressed me with their customer service. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Open Road there currently under construction so the show room is small but the staff was very friendly and pleasant to deal with..

My wife test drove a 2012 CPO CX-9 and was quoted a price with her trade in. She was asked to leave a $100 deposit, which she did. We decided to buy the car and went the next weekend to purchase it. Neil said the car was in a minor fender bender would not be available until the following week. We called him the next week and told us the car was totaled and was no longer for sale. A month later the car is still on their website, with a reduced price and when my brother in law called about it they said it was available and he could come test drive it. I don't know if it is because we are a mixed race couple or what, but they basically refused to sell us this car and obviously lied about the reason why. We bought another CX-9 from Lester Glenn and are very happy with it. We still have not received the $100 back despite multiple calls. The whole experience makes me very weary of this dealer, I would never go back there and advise others to avoid them, especially if you are a minority or a mixed race couple.

Man did this place step up to the plate. They are currently undergoing renovations so its not an ideal showroom condition. Brian was past excellent. i dont know anyone else there but if i had to deal with anyone it would HAVE to be with Brian. The experience was too good. We did not go through all the nonsense of haggling and then hearing the manager trying to convince me yadda yadda yadda. I did my homework and we came in firm and they did what they had do to earn my business. i cant wait to see the finished product(renovation). If you are looking for a new Mazda (seriously ) - do your homework - and then go and speak to Brian.

I wanted to test drive Mazda CX9 Sports trim. I called the dealership to check if they have that specific trim in inventory. My call was answered by Michael and he said that he will check and call me back. I got a call back from him after 10 mins and he confirmed that they have one in their inventory and I could come down to test drive it today. After I reached the dealership, I met him to arrange for the test drive. He took my license and came back after 2 mins and said that they don't have the trim I am looking for!!! I told him that we just spoke 30 mins earlier and he confirmed that they have one. He said he was sorry for the confusion. Absolute incompetency. Would not recommend to anyone.

Called the salesperson I had been speaking with at Open Road Mazda East Brunswick (Darius) he came in on his day off, called ahead to have the car ready and in 3 hours (a little long but at least they were incredibly pleasant, professional and delivered exactly what they said they would without any scams) I became the new owner of a Mazda CX-5. We never once felt like they were trying to trick us or charge us more. Everything they did/said was very upfront.

Unethical dealership. I'm very shocked to see the positive reviews. The good reviews made to try to negotiate for a car and it was the worst experience I've had. The sales rep Darius was very nice guy. Over the phone we negotiated a price for mazda 3 which included dealer fees. I agreed to pay tax and DMV fee on top of that price. Darius got the approval from the GM. I am about 60 miles from the dealership so i wanted to be sure that the price was negotiated first before I attempted to go to the dealership to do the paperwork. My mistake was not getting that in writing. When we got there, I was offered pricing different than what we had negotiated over the phone. After getting in a heated debate with the floor manager over the cars.com pricing, the GM got involved. We then proceeded to talk to the GM as the floor manager was of no use. The GM then basically told us that we would have to pay $250 more. Since we were already there, we said what the heck we'll pay it. While the car was getting ready and the paperwork being prepared, we waited and waiting and waited. I couldn't believe that the paper work would take this long. When we were ready to sign the paperwork, we saw that they were trying to charge us dealer fees on top of the $250 extra that we agreed to pay. The fees were about $800 extra. It was clear that these guys wanted us in the door and they knew that once we were there, we wouldn't leave with out the car. We wanted a white mazda 3 2.5l GT manual transmission. Only 2 cars in a 500 mile radius so yes we probably would have paid a bit more to get the car but the amount they were charging in dealer fees and their unethical and immoral behavior made us go back home with out the car. I would highly recommend people to STAY AWAY from Open Road. I feel bad for Darius, my sales rep, for losing out on a sale since he was a nice guy stuck in the middle. However, I wish he had fought harder for me. He had everything written down on paper but for some reason GM didn't care to look at it. This makes me think that everyone was in on the scam. The only reason their prices are low is because they make up the difference by charging outrageous fees and dealer installed options that you have to choice to reject. With the experience I with them, I strongly urge people to STAY AWAY from Open Road.

So after visiting 10 different showrooms, my last stop was at Open Road Mazda. I had the great fortune of dealing with salesman, Brian Brown. It was a very good experience, he and his management team went above and beyond in helping me with my purchase decision. I would recommend this dealership to all of my friends, family, and co-workers. The dealership staff was very friendly and was pressure-free.

I had a great experience purchasing my new Mazda at Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick. All of the sales staff were knowledgeable on the vehicles there. This dealership has a very friendly environment and the employees are very accommodating. I was skeptical of the Mazda brand prior to going to this dealership, however the staff really sold me on the quality and innovation of Mazda. I can't remember everyones names but they were very helpful through the whole process. Overall buying the car here was a no pressure situation and I'd highly recommend their service.

My lease was up and my previous dealer is no longer selling Mazdas. I wanted to lease a new car, and I wanted another Mazda -I have owned five - but due to financial consderations, that was not possible. Michael and Mark were wonderful. They made it happen - dealt with the banks, cut through the paperwork, found solutions and got me a deal I can live with - in less than 24 hours. They were polite, solicitus and never once made me feel uncomfortable about the finances. Every detail was attended to and I am sure that Open Road Mazda did not make any huge sum on this deal, but I was treated as if I were buying a fleet of cars. I wish, in these tough times, that more people would show this kind of commitment, courtesy and concern.

This is my second time buying at this dealership... The first time was 6 years ago and ok but this second time was awesome. I called and spoke with Brian Trainor I told him exactly what I wanted and how much I was looking to spend and the color I was looking for, he called me back in 1 hour with exactly what I was looking for with the exception of the color I wanted... I went to the dealership that night after work and saw the car and of course test drove the car and I fell in love, and the color was actually perfect... The very next day I was I ready to pick up my new car I called him and told him I would be coming to get my car and I wanted to come in sign paperwork and be out... I then got a call from Mike who I believe is the sales manager unfortunately I can not remember his last name... He talked me into letting him run my credit to see if he can get me a better rate then my credit union and I was reluctant but I gave in and he did alot better and I went through mazda for my financing.. I told him I had to be able to come in sign paperwork and leave I did not want to be stuck there all night and he said that is what would happen and that is what happened... I had a GREAT experience with them and I would definitely recommend them and if I stick with Mazda for my next car I will definitely go back to them... I am VERY SATISFIED with this dealership.. Thank You Brian and Michael for making my experience in buying my first brand new car a good one... I did say the price of the car is great but I do think if I took more time on this I could have gotten it at a little lower price but as you see I wanted to be in and out and they did get me a little lower then I was willing to spend so I just took it...

I have to say when I first walked in I was a little hesitant. The dealership looked dated and I said to myself "what would they have to offer?" to be quite honest I paid little attention to the sales person (voytek) but that didn't stop him from being friendly and courteous to my needs. I was looking at a Mazda 3 and with it being a compact I was concerned about space primarily would I fit in the front seat and drive comfortably. Voytek let me know that he owns a Mazda 3 and put my worries to an end, he's about 6' 4'. He sat me in the car which had a power seat and with that seat I could position the seat in such a way that I even had room to spare. He knew what he was talking about for sure. That Mazda 3 had other things I was looking for as well, a leather seat moon roof among other things. Voytek was very personable with me and despite the showroom he made me feel welcome even tho I was being disingenuous. the management was really good I met Eddie he was very laid back and helped me understand the logistics of leasing. The finance manager tho I don't remember his name was kind and patient with me when I had to read all the paper work. Time was an issue but realistically no more than any other time I bought a car. This sort of stuff simply takes time to do its a long process and has lots of factors. I ended up buying the car from voytek and told a couple friends about my experience they were shocked that I was treated so well at a highway store. When my lease is up in a couple of years I'll be happy to come back thank you open road Mazda !

I went to Open Road Mazda to lease a new Mazda3 having been a previous owner. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff was apparent from the time I arrived. Brian did a good job of going over the features of the vehicle. I wanted a specific set of options, manual transmission being one, which were not readily accessible but Brian outlined my options which included securing the vehicle elsewhere and installing the options not already included. He was detailed in spelling out the timeframes and the vehicle was ready for delivery when he said it would be. I was provided with a loaner while they acquired my vehicle and installed my options. The work on the vehicle was immaculate and the pricing was fair and right within the price range I felt comfortable with. There was no high sales pressure and all available options were explained in detail. After taking possession, Brian, once again, went over all the features also pairing my smartphone with the vehicles bluetooth capabilities. Also, Mike did a nice job of going over the paperwork with me. I have leased vehicles before and this, by far, has been my best experience. I strongly recommend this dealer.

Shopping for a new Mazda 3 from Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick was a pleasure. Mohamed explained all the different models, and was very knowledgable with all their different motor options. I was interested in their new 2.0 liter Skyactiv engine, and even though it was a new motor, Mohamed knew all about it. Besides from being friendly, and not pushy, he gave me a great price. I didn't buy the car that first day though. I thought about it for a couple days, and then called Mohamed on his cell phone. It turned out it was his day off, but he said he'd meet me at the dealership that night anyway. I bought the car the next day, and Mo explained everything about the car & financing and he even paired my Blackberry to the car's bluetooth. I've been to other dealerships and the salesmen are usually very pushy. If you want a relaxed car shopping experience, along with the best price, I'd HIGHLY recommend Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick.P.S. BEWARE OF Open road WHEN BUYING A USED CAR especially if dealing with Paul Ruben and Frank Hayes. They had a car I wanted advertised for sale on internet. After calling in and agreeing on a price I asked both Paul Ruben and Frank Hayes numerous times if there were any Flaws , scrathes , if car was owned by smoker , etc . .. They assured me the car was flawless and there was nothing negative reported on carfax so i made a deposit and drove 300plus miles each way to pickup vehicle. When we arrived car wreaked of smoke and all 4 wheels where scratched , Tires had slashes mirrors were scraped and there were scrapes on the front and side of car that were poorly touched up and front bumper was very obviously repainted. This was all on a supposedly like new 2011 Ford Fusion Sport with 6000 miles on it . This place cannot be trusted when buying a used vehicle. Wasted alot of time and money and gas for nothing and unfortunately has also left me with a very negative impression of New Jersey used Car Dealers.

Right now I have a 2006 Mazda3. Since May 2011 I have been taking my Mazda to be serviced there. The people at the desk are usually very good with the customers and good with what they do, but the mechanic that usually works on my car has a bit of an attitude. He has misdiagnosed my car twice. Which put me on the road with a broken axle TWICE ! But, once the job is done, it's done well. Their prices are a little more expensive than my old mechanic, but I go there because it gives it a higher resale value. I thought about trading my 06 Mazda3 in to lease a 2012 Mazda3 with a skyactiv engine. Brian was a very great sales person. He was extremely kind. He answered all my questions, and let me know all of my options without getting annoyed. He was very courteous and I wish I found a car I liked there because he deserved the commission. He is definitely the best sales person I have ever came across.

I have just recently bought a Civic from Open Road's Honda dealership and was informed of the other locations as well as brands. My husband's 2011 Mazda 3 started to make some weird noises, so I decided to bring it to the East Brunswick Mazda to get it checked out. I had made an appointment via the phone which was simple and painless. When I arrived for my appointment I waited for about 10 minutes all during which Dennis came and apologized for the wait. I explained the noise and they took the car into the shop right away. They said it might take awhile so they set me up with a courtesy car. I did not expect that at all, I thought I would have to wait for everything to be checked out. As I was driving the loaner I received a call from Dennis saying how they could not hear the noise but with my permission they would drive it around and change the climate and terrain to see if that would help identify the problem. I explained I would not be able to get the loaner vehicle back for another 2 hours, he then stopped me and said that I was to keep the car until me car was returned to me. I was thrilled to hear this. Long story short, when I picked up my FIXED car I was so happy with the experience that I told them I would be back if any other service problems occurred. For such a small service area, they surely make up for it in customer service!

Lies, tricks. I live 2.5 hours away, but am looking for a Mazda3 in blue with the sunroof. I saw their car on autofinder and went on their website, made an offer. They emailed me back saying they were 'close' to my offer, and to come in. Via phone I specifically asked if there are any scratches, dents or anything like that. They told me no, it is in perfect condition. By phone and email several I told them I am 2 and a half hours away and do not want to make a trip for nothing. By phone they verified that they would accept my offer, and that I could take home the vehicle that day. When I got there, they would not take less than $2,000 MORE than my offer, plus I find that the car has a chip in the windshield, and peeling paint on the trunk that they tried to cover up with a color stick. They tried to offer me every other car, tried to get me to finance when I wanted to pay cash. I finally walked out, wasted trip, wasted gas, wasted day. Don't waste your time here. If they are trying to cover up issues like peeling paint, what else is underneath that they are covering up? They trick you into getting there so that they can force something else down your throat. Dishonest, cheap.

We called ahead to check if the color combination we were looking for was in stock, got to talk to Felix, met him for a test drive. Extremely nice, professional, no pressure sales. He was gracious, let us drive couple of different cars and we left without the usual - "what we need to do to put you in your car today" spiel. Then contacted delaer for an internet price - got to deal with Paul Rubin - nice experience there too. Very direct, no pressure, treated us with respect and very responsive. Both him and Felix worked together with us till late in the night to get the car of our choice when we changed our mind on the color/package combo from another dealer. Met their GM - nice guy - quick to the point no BS. The folks so far were super nice. Only downside was during closing, The closing agent tried to pressurize us into selling lots of "options", seat treatment glass treatment etc on the end of a long day when all you wanted was to sign and get into your new car and go. We got a great price and deal given the fact it was month end, price matched True market valus and Fair prices from Consumer reports and KBB etc. Got couple of options thrown in. Folks for the most part were nice, made you feel welcome and overall experience was better than when I dealt with the BMW dealer earlier last earlier under the same family name. We would strongly reccomend this place, but we warned for some pressure at the end of it all behind closed doors when you think you were all done! I had a trade in and got slightly below average price offered than what I expected or was quoted in KBB and other places

I had come from owning a 2007 Honda Civic Si I purchased from Honda Freehold in 2007. After totaling that car I was waiting for my insurance check and was shopping for a new car. Interested in a MazdaSpeed3, I decided to go to Open Road in East Brunswick because it was close to my home. Matt Rucko immediately greeted me as I entered, and asked which car I was interested in. I test drove a 2010 version of the MS3, but wanted the 2011 because of the tech package that comes with the self leveling HID lights, etc etc. Eddie Ruela would have given me a great deal on the 2010 but I had my heart set.I went home and did research on the car pricing, and went back that weekend. I liked how they were no pressure, laid back and let me do what I needed to do (I had thought I'd replace my car with a 2011 version of the Si, but little did I know I can't get my hands on one until the new body style comes out. But after seeing the bells and whistles on the MS3, my decision was made).Going back to Open Road I really thought I'd have to haggle like I did with any car I've ever owned. To my surprise, it was the easiest transaction ever. They offered me a GREAT price I couldn't resist, on the very car I wanted, and was willing to drive all over earth's creation to get it for me. I met with Mike Mayfield and went over my credit. My credit is another story entirely..... other dealers like to get a 2% kickback on financing.... and with the Honda it was a nightmare. Mike was able to get me 4.7% right away! I almost fell over!!!!! Even financing was easy!!!The dealership was patient waiting with me for my NJM insurance check. I gave them a $500 good faith payment to hold the car, and knowing the check was finally coming, we finalized the deal January 31st. The day came to pick up the car, so I examined it in the garage since it was night time. I found 3 scratches above the gas tank, and they buffed and buffed till it was gone. Because I have the RESIST ALL warranty, Matt put in writing there were scratches and wrote that if I EVER have problems with that panel they'll fix it at no cost to me. Matt has checked on me several times making sure I am happy, and has been very personable. When I walk into the dealer, I am greeted by everyone as they've known me for years. I definitely will buy from them again if I am in the need of a car..... and I've told my friends how good they were, and posted it on FB.:)

I had been looking to purchase a used Mazda 6 for quite some time now. I saw one listed on Open Road Mazda's website but received a call from a salesman named Frank who advised me the call had been sold but he promised to call me when something came in. A week later he had an associate call me, his name is Greg.Greg told me about a 2003 Mazda 6 they just received, we made an arrangement for me to come down and take a look at the car.The car was in exceptional condition for an 03, 59,000 miles, clean inside and out.Greg showed me the carfax and it showed the car had one owner with an average of 8,000 miles a year on the car.I advised Greg and Frank when we sat down to discuss a price that I would have to have my mechanic take a look at the car first before I made any commitment on the car. They had no issues with this and even offered to have the car driven to my mechanic!Wow, I thought, so I made an appointment with my mechanic and the car had been brought to him, from East Brunswick to Westfield, NJ. My mechanic gave the car a full work over, hooked it up to a computer, ran all tests and found the car to be mechanically sound as well as no accidents.I immediately committed to purchasing the car, I thought the paperwork and such would drag on for a while but the dealership had been flawless in getting through all the paperwork.I am extremely happy with the purchase I made, the people I encountered at Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick. No hassling, very knowledgeable and willing to work with you to help put your mind at ease with the purchase you are making.

They didn't waste my time and they seemed very flexible on how to finance the vehicle in terms of lease, purchase and offered me many options and alternatives to consider, which i found helpful in fitting into my budget. I specifically told the salesperson, Brian, that i was going to shop around and was NOT buying today. He told me that it didn't matter when i was buying. That i would be treated the same as if i was buying today. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and i felt completely comfortable and at home. I would recommend Open Road to other people and I certainly would go back and buy another car. My only regret is that I only had enough money to buy one car. It has been two months now and i have recieved Christmas and New Years Cards from the staff. I was even invited to their Christmas party but unfortuneately I was out of town. You can really tell these guys really enjoy their work and working there because I met almost everyone that worked there and even hung out with another salesmen who wasn't even helping me! If I could describe this place in one word it would be "fireplace". Warm, Safe, home and family.

I was on the internet and requested a quote for a 2011 Mazda 3. I checked my email and saw that Paul Rubin had answered the quote the very next day. I came into the dealership and met with Paul Rubin, who had Laz help me with the purchase. The purchase of the car was very simple and straightforward. Everything from the price, to signing the paperwork was quick and painless. I would highly recommend going to Open Road Mazda if you are looking to purchase a new or used car.

OPEN ROAD = DISHONEST DEALER: STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM OPEN ROAD MAZDA AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I purchased a Mazda from OPEN ROAD (BIG MISTAKE) based upon the ongoing Mazda USA incentive of $0 down with first month's payment included. Upon reviewing the sales contact, they intentionally charged me with the first months payment. When asked why, they stated the first month payment was required regardless of the current incentive. I told them that if I sign the contact now and I find out that the first months payment was not applicable, I expect a refund from them (of course they said not a problem as long as I sign). The next day I called up Mazda USA who directed me to the finance company handling the incentive which directed me back to the dealer for payment restitution. Back to OPEN ROAD I went, and guess what, they flat out denied acknowledging our conversation existed and they REFUSED to credit my first month's payment. The only thing out of the finance persons mouth was, "THAT WAS NOT THE DEAL." Not only did they lie, there was NO (I REPEAT N0)willingness to hear or settle the issue - how pathetic is this. The only GREAT experience I did have was the salesperson I worked with (don't remember his name but he was extremely polite, courteous and accommodating in every way). Other than that, totally dishonest. I hope this gets to the dealership as constructive criticism, get rid of the people who makes your BRAND look bad - you're loosing business! I wasn't expecting you guys to give me the car for nothing, all I wanted was an honest deal (I couldn't even get that) with no BS. Shame on you!

Open Road East Brunswick gave me the best Price on Line (thank's PAUL RUBIN - On Line Service). Thank's them, I saved lot of time and nerves on negotiations process. Sales Person Mohamed Khan is one of the best. After visiting other Dealers in Range of 50Mls, we war on the Alert and expected some kind of Tricks, because the Price was really too good! We didn't get any Pressure to buy something additional. Two Weeks later we called Mohamed about Registration and Plates, and got them next Day with overnight FedEx. That is our personal Experience.

Service is horrible made an appt to look at car and showed up at the time and kept me waiting for one and a half hours. Then when we agreed on the price, we came back two days later for financing and they lied to us about the rate and wasted our time. They kept promising they would get it done and would never follow up with a phone call. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. There customer service is terrible and there attitude was horrible.

Terrible experience. I have worked to obtain great credit and went with a saved down-payment and a 2-year old trade-in (in excellent condition). The three major issues I experienced with Open Road Mazda were: 1. Open Road Mazda used high pressure sales practices, 2. ORM failed to disclose key conditions of the offer 3. The verbal representation was not consistent with written contractual terms or agreements.ORM pressured me into purchasing a "lesser model" than my indented purchase that had a 0% financing option. But I was assured that this less expensive purchase would absorb all fees (for over mileage on my lease) and my down payment of $3,000 more that covered the last 2 payments on the lease (total $610.) plus a $2400 cushion in the event the numbers on over-mileage were off. 3 weeks after this compromise purchase, I received a bill for $1,200. When I challenged the bill reminding them of our agreement and the contractual discussion that all fess were covered all customer service ended. No return phone calls for 30 days -- which is when the bill was due. I went to ORM in person to challenge their failure to honor verbal agreement and they offered to sell me another car and reissue a contract absorbing the amount - meaning I would pay for this as well in a new contract on a new car. Impossible to trust them, so I did not purchase another car and contract again. I asked for the money to be reimbursed and was told I could be given "service credit for double the amount" $3500 value. My car required 2 service calls and neither were "appropriate for this verbal offer". I have been asking for this service credit to be placed in writing but they did not do it and have not to date honored their promise. I filed a complaint with BBB and they have forwarded my case to the State. With national car companies counting on us to bail them out of financial ruin one would think that the dealerships would be working harder to be honorable and gain consumer trust. There are many other dealerships avoid this one (Open Road Madza, East Brunswick, NJ).

Had a pleasant experience with Open Road Mazda. The internet quote they gave me was impressive on its own. When I went there, they set me up with Mark, who was very patient & friendly. He even served me a nice cup of hot coffee which was a very nice to warm up from the wicked cold outside. Then came the numbers... they did not have the model I was looking for and promised to get one for an additional 500. I agreed, but I was not yet ready to buy, as I had to check out a few more cars and this was my first stop.Final figures were reached without any haggling, and I was ready to leave with this price but like every other dealer worth its salt, they wanted to sell me one the same day! I explained my situation, they sort of understood... but there was a little pressure. They offered to waive the extra 500, but I was determined. That was the only pressure... I guess they were doing their job. Both Mark and John, were very friendly and helpful. Few days later, we decided to go for another vehicle, I called Mark to let him know. He was very polite and understanding and thanked me for my call back.Overall I had a pleasant experience.

Dealing with the sales department of Open Road Mazda in East Brunswick was a horrendous experience full of high pressure and games. I was very interested in a 2006 Mazda6 S listed on AutoTrader for $13,990. The car was only one year old, yet it had nearly 40,000 miles. When questioned about this, the dealer gave very elusive answers and told me that he knew nothing about the history of the car, and that the dealership could not provide me with any service history from the previous owner. Looking back, that should have been an immediate red flag. When I came in for a test drive, I was impressed by both the car and the price, and I was ready to commit myself to purchasing it. Since I have little credit history at 18, I asked to put down a security deposit in order for the car to be held for a total of 24 hours, so that my father could co-sign on the loan and secure a lower interest rate. Mike Rossman, my sales rep, promised that the security deposit would be a reasonable amount, and refundable regardless of whether I purchased the car. Then he went into a back room for a few minutes and returned with the sales manager, one of the most rude and loathsome human beings I have ever met.I was told that the minimum amount I could put down was $500, and that I would be wasting his time offering any less. I felt that $500 was an unreasonable deposit for holding a used car a few hours. Regardless, why should it matter how much I put down if the security deposit was refundable as Mike claimed? I refused, telling the manager that I would take my chances as the car had already been sitting on the lot for four months. Later, I looked up the cars VIN in carfax, and discovered that the previous owner had been a rental company, explaining the high mileage. When my father and I got to the dealership and began to negotiate a price, the sales manager absolutely refused to sell me the car for under $14,500, which was $500 ABOVE the price listed on AutoTrader. He explained that the price had changed since the day before, and that I would either have to take his non-negotiable offer of $14,500 or forget about buying the car. I told him that his new offer was ridiculous, especially given the car's questionable past, and that I would not buy the car for that price. I left the dealership and went home, not realizing that I had left my cell phone in the car from the test drive. When I returned to retrieve the phone, the manager was apologetic and immediately offered the $13,990 price again. I did not take his offer. Integrity is a very important to me and high-pressure sales tactics and rudeness cost him the sale. Perhaps the most senseless thing of all is the fact that I would have easily agreed to that amount earlier.I dont care if I have to go all the way to Wayne to get a good deal on a used Mazda. The way Open Road Mazda treats potential customers is deplorable, and I will not be servicing my future car there.

I made another terrible mistake to go there for service. Price is higher than other dealers, service advisor have no patient, service hours are not convenient. They also rip people off by replace unnecessary parts after your warranty expires. Right before my car's warranty expires I had a check up there and they said everything is in great condition, once my warranty expires, they told me my clutch is bad, motor mount broke, and rear brakes are bad. They also spilled oil on my engine cover during oil change.

Not sure about others experience, mine was pleasant. May be because of John Strowe, he listened patiently to what I was looking for and never tried to sell something I was not interested on. He kept looking for the kind of car I was looking for, never gave up. If you are going to this dealership, ask for John.

The worst from the start!! They switched salesmen on us 3 times. Told us they could get us a car in 4 days 3 days after the 4 they still had no car. Kept giving us all the excused in the world as to why they could not deliver, then wanted more money! When I could not take it anymore I told them I wanted my deposit back for the car they did not get us. They then told me they could not refund my deposit (even when they said they would when I put it down) and I would just have to wait till they could get a car. I called my credit card company to put in a dispute. I am going to Wayne Mazda they have been very nice and told me up front how long it would take to get the car and where it was coming from. This does not even come close to explaining what a bunch of snake oil salesmen they are!! They will not get you the car you want and will make your life hell while you wait tiring to sell you what is on there lot that you dont want. If I could go back in time I would GLADLY pay the extra 800.00 from a real dealership

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had in purchasing a car. I had my mind set on buying the car that day and offered a very reasonable price well above the actual car quote price that I've had researched earlier on. However, they just don't stop playing games, claiming that the price we asked for is not enough. After dealing with the dealer for 3 hours, the dealer asked for two of his managers to come and talk to us. The manager insulted us saying "you can't even put in one more buck? Then go all the way to Wayne if you guys want, we can't deal with you here." So, without wasting more of our time, we walked to our car and prepared to leave. Just as we are going to open the car, the dealer came running to us saying that we have a deal on the price we asked for. What does this tell you folks? After we went in and sign the papers, they made us wait for the car for another 3 hours. We arrived at 10 am in the morn and left at 4pm in afternoon. This is just an experience that I would never want anyone to suffer again. Therefore, beware of their trickery and inefficiency.
