Saw a vehicle on cars.com that I found interesting so , I filled out the contact form...2 days later, I called them, as I hadn't heard anything, and was concerned it may have been sold. Nope. still there. owner stated that he was busy, and didn't have time to check email. okay...I can understand that. I asked him to be brutally honest about the condition of the car, as I live over an hour away. was told it was primo, just older, and higher miles. got a chance to swing by and look at it a couple days later. outside body was about 95%, so I was okay with that. silicone caulk around back window, however, was a concern. the interior was repulsive. needed about 8 hours worth of cleaning. vinyl door trim was falling off, but, i was assured by the owner that it would be fixed. ( i hoped better than the other one that was fixed., as that looked a lot like a first grader's art project)Ok... I've seen worse. I put a deposit on the vehicle, so my wife could come back and give it final approval. of course, I had to interrupt the other young man's texting to take my deposit, but, I digress. I informed them that I would fill out the online credit application, and intended to pick up the car Saturday. I filled out the credit app that night, the next day, around noon, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called...good thing, too. they hadn't checked their email. (noticing a pattern here) but, after bringing it to their attention, I was called, and informed that they had gotten approval. I asked what the terms were...he had no idea. I asked for the name and number of the finance company...had never heard f them, but, figured...how bad can it be? bad indeed. 24.99% Yup...dumped me into a "second chance" agency...didn't even bother to check anyone else. I really started to wonder at this point if they wanted my business. I asked the young lass (who actually was nice, and helpful) why I was looking at a payday loan interest rate. she explained that they are a second chance financier. I understand that, I said, but...look at my info. do I look like I am in need of a second chance loan? she agreed, and started to work on a more reasonable rate. Saturday rolled around, and we went there...To find the car had an all but flat left rear tire, 1/16th of a tank of gas (barely enough for a test drive)and door trim that still hung like curtains. My wife liked the car, but was also concerned about the silicone around a convertible back window. the owner assured me, that the top did not leak. I figured, let me check for leaks, and then I can go see the finance company..."they are closed Saturdays" he told me. Then, they went from being closed Saturdays, to open till noon (Nope...they are closed. tried to call them, to tell them to hold my application, I am coming to retrieve and destroy It) I took a garden hose, and squirted water around the back window. I would put the pressure on par with a light to moderate rain. it was coming straight from the hose, so it wasn't excessive. the top leaked like a sieve. there was about a gallon and a half of water coming in from a 2 minute hose application. in a hard rain, this vehicle would become an aquarium. Now, My day was about to get better. The owner came walking out, and I said "the roof leaks He shouted for his son to "refund the deposit...I'm sick of this Mustang...I'm outta here", and stormed off.. this is the OWNER...not the CUSTOMER...saying this! He threw a fit on par with a spoiled twelve year old. Not, my mechanic of 30 years , that has never missed a day (until today) can fix this I had just wasted two hours of travel time, a half a tank of gas, and was treated like a burden, start to finish... the son began to refund my deposit...no negotiation, nope...the end. the boss then actually reentered the building, stating he had taken keys to a Suzuki, stormed back out Nothing like being treated like crap start to finish, huh? wasted, time gas and tolls on this. unprofessional beyond words.

Wanted to buy truck they did not offer any in-house financing told me to go to a different bank outside dealer to buy truck and would not guarantee inspection Dmv would not put it in writing The truck would pass New Jersey state inspection and when I put in writing they would fix it if it did not

I was interested in a car for sale at Park Ave Autos. Unfortunately the car was held with a deposit for another buyer. Max took my name and number in case the buyer did not follow through. The potential buyer fell through and Max was kind enough to call me to tell me that the car was back up for sale. I was so pleased that he reached out to me. He took me seriously and was extremely professional to work with. He worked with me and allowed a local shop to do a pre purchase inspection. Throughout the purchase process he kept me informed with many details. I really appreciate working with family owned and operated businesses like this one. I would recommend this dealership to others. My husband owns a family owned/operated auto repair shop in Philadelphia and he would also recommend this dealership to his customers based on our experience. Thank you!

Max I know you are striving for a five star rating, and after dealing with you we thought we would be giving you five stars. Unfortunately we were mislead. Our daughter purchased her first vehicle from you with her own money. We inquired about a warranty period and was advised if there was any problems within a one to two week period you would assist us with the repairs as you were going no where. We contacted you approximately three days after the purchase to let you know that we were having a few issues with the car and that we wanted to take the vehicle to our mechanic. At that time you advised us we could bring the car to your mechanic for repairs. We contacted you right before taking the hour long drive to be sure we were all set and at that time the story changed you advised that you would not be assisting with any repairs to the vehicle, but you would be more then happy to have your mechanic look over the car. Any repairs needed would be at our expense and that since your provided us with a good deal you voided your previous offer to assist with any repairs. Why would we have your mechanic look at the vehicle when we have our own mechanic? You weren't assisting with the cost of the repairs and know you went back on your word. If we can't trust you how do we trust your mechanic. This was a real surprise. We had our mechanic look over the vehicle and the repairs were minimal costing $260.00. This is a life lesson for our daughter and us. When it's to good to be true it is and never take someones word. Max if you decide to respond to this review please be sure to be honest in your response as the review we provided you are facts.

I was on an extremely limited budget after having an older car totaled in an accident. Because it was older, the insurance recovery was low. I needed to get into a similar car and at a reduced cost. I shopped them all, big dealerships, to little buy here/pay here lots, in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. NONE could compare with the quality of cars, and reasonable price that Park Avenue Autos offers. Nelson and Max are my used cars dream come true. Honest, fair, and low pressure. I thought it was too good to be true, and kept looking for problems, but I just could not find any. If you're looking for a used car, in good condition at a reasonable price, this is where you need to be! Thank you Max and Nelson!

While searching for a truck in a very specific price range for my son, Max quickly showed me what he had available and gave me the space to look all through it. His openness and willingness to let me get my own mechanic to look it over put my mind at ease. His price was fair and I feel I was respected throughout the transaction. My son LOVES his truck. We bought a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe for our son. The car was in excellent shape and runs great! My husband went there first and found 2 cars he liked. We had been to at least 20 other dealers and found some great deals. He insisted that we go back and shop at Park Avenue because Max was extremely nice and honest. We went back and bought the Santa Fe and couldn't be happier! We highly recommend Park Avenue Auto, cars are in excellent condition and they are very honest.

I was having the TOUGHEST time finding a good and reliable car on a budget at other dealers. But was so fortunate to have had the BEST experience when purchasing my 2010 Kia Soul at Park Avenue Autos! Nelson and his wife Tammy were just beyond AWESOME patient, genuine and made you feel SO at home, that I felt as though I was part of their family. The first time I arrived, Nelson was extremely helpful and inviting. As I perused through the lot and noticed my future car, I was SO surprised when he just said "here's the key, test it out, let me know what you think!" He was not this pushy salesman the experience didn't feel sales pitchy at all. He just allowed me to take my time to get to know the vehicle it was just amazing! In the end, they gave me a GREAT deal on the car AND all within my budget! They made the whole process as pleasant without any stress even as far as to suggest a GREAT insurance carrier when my own insurance gave me the hardest time. He and his wife Tammy (who was THE MOST genuine and sweetest person EVER) were just this beautiful team that seemed to take integrity seriously. They are honest, communicative, down to earth and had THE BEST sense of humor for business folks. This family-owned business is the BEST and it shows! We ended up not buying a car from them because the Hyundai Santa Fe was shimmying on the test drive. Max said he wouldn't sell it in that condition. We were in a rush to buy a car for my daughter who was on a 5-day Spring break. We had already purchased from another dealer when he called to tell us that the car we test drove had been repaired. In any event, they had good prices, and showed a lot of integrity. I wish we could have bought from them, but wanted people to know they were trustworthy and honest, and tried their best.

I purchased a Jeep GC from Max and it is GORGEOUS! I knew of the lot, and he came highly recommended, so I went and checked out a few of the vehicles, and found this Jeep! Not only was it in what I would consider IMMACULATE condition inside & out - Max and Nelson gave me the most unbelievable deal!!! If you are looking for a GREAT used vehicle, no matter where you live you owe it to yourself to go to Park Avenue Autos - family run business, NO PRESSURE, and they are HONEST (how many times have you EVER heard that regarding a Car salesman)?!?
