I took my F-150 into service because I continued to have a rough ride even after having my tires balanced. Bob took my truck in and discovered that I had one tire with permanent flat spots. This is normally handled by the selling dealership under the tire warranty. Purvis did not sell me the truck but Bob handled this for me anyway. After ordering and installing the new tire my truck rides smooth as butter. Thanks Bob.

I bought a new 2016 F-150 at a dealership an hour and a half from my home in Fredericksburg because they had the truck with the features I wanted at the end of the model year. On my way home I discovered that it had a rough ride. No problem I thought. I have driven enough over the years to recognize that my wheels were not properly balanced.. I dropped it at Purvis Ford in Fredericksburg to be taken care of the next day with an explaination on the night drop envelope. Next day I called the service dept. to discuss it and was told that it was a Ford policy not to take care of tires until you have over a 1000 miles on them. Believe me This pissed me off, but they would do nothing and told me I could take it back to the dealer I purchased it from for the service. Long story short I brought it to GoodYear where they offered to check the tires for free. Three of my four tires were out of balance. $69.00 later the truck runs great. I contacted my salesman about and the original dealership is going to reimburse me. Purvis will never get my business except for warranty work. Believe me.

My husband and I recently purchased our 2017 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid from Purvis Ford and we are so glad that we did. We live about 2 1/2 hours away but found the car on line with a price that was great plus all the rebates that Ford was offering. Frank was our salesman and he was wonderful. A very down to earth, genuine guy. When we arrived they were already cleaning up the car. We were in and out in around 3 hours and that includes the guy who came to show us how to use the technology in our new car. This process was easy with no haggling! The dealership is very nice and clean...we will be back for sure!!

I am the original owner of a 1997 Ford Expedition. Over the past 2 years I have taken my Ford to 4 different shops to try and fix several engine related problems. (Engine surge, check engine lights) The engine problems got so bad I finally gave up and had my Ford towed to Purvis Ford for repair. I was not sure that a dealer would even look at a vehicle that was 20 years old or if parts were available. The Service Advisor Frank Stewart assured me that they would work me to get my truck back on the road. The Technicians were able to diagnose a bad PCM and coil packs. The PCM (computer) was no longer available from Ford Parts but Purvis as able to obtain a replacement PCM and reprogram it to work with my truck. After I picked up my truck, I could not believe how well the truck drove and how smooth the engine ran. My Expedition has not run this well in years and the new PCM seemed to have fixed all my previous issues I had as well.Thank you Purvis Ford.Mike Offerjost

We began our search for a newer vehicle at the used car area. Jerry (I think) met us and questioned our wants and needs. He then was very helpful in finding the 2015 Explorer we selected. This is the worst parts department I've ever dealt with.i orderd a brake line 3 weeks ago n still havent received it to date even after a parts manager assured me it would be there fri afternoon well fri no line but a call from the parts manager saying he tracked it and will b in hand sat well no call to me that morning so i decided to drop by to pic up and well you guessed it didnt show im still brake line less and parts guy told me we cant do anything for you today and that this happens all the time .i run my own local businesses and i do appreciate good help ,i dont feel like this parts dept cares as they should , a classic case of comfort and lack of effort.

Salesman named Steve was absolutely horrible. Wasn't willing to do his job in helping us get a car. Refused to run our credit and give us a trade in amount for our car. Basically told us there was nothing he could do for us without doing anything. Horrible customer service. I don't know how he makes a living off commission when he's not willing to work to close the deal. Whether you have impeccable credit or not you should always be treated the same and expect the same service. A lil kindness goes a long way.

Purvis Ford has the best services dept in town. I brought my Edge in and was told by Bob that that the earliest it could be looked at was the next Monday, but he would fit me in that Wednesday so that Purvis could diagnosis the problem and order parts if needed. Bob got sick and my service guy was Andrew. Andrew was awesome!!! He keep me informed of the whole process. He was polite and professional. When I needed to chase down a maintenance receipt he offered to call Pohanka to have it fax to the office. That is great customer service!!!! This is the guy I want to come back to over and over again! Purvis has really great people working for them...I have never had a bad experience there.

Would like to have the same day drop off for inspection and oil change, as was offered in the past. I always pulled up, without an appointment, dropped off my F-150 with the service writer, he called me several hours later to come back and pick it up, same day, without any call ahead or appointment necessary.DO NOT like to schedule an appointment for something that should be done same day service as my schedule is very, very busy and at times I have do it quickly when time allows.

Also, the car did not stink on the inside upon return which was a HUGE plus ( In the past, it has smelled so horrid from what I could only guess were dirty uniforms that it took almost two weeks to get the smell out).

I own a 2014 Ford transit that I purchased at Purvis and I get my maintenance services there too. Whenever I took my transit for service I was attended by Greg Cizek, a service advisor. Greg has always been professional and his customer service is superb. I recently had a problem with my transit and brought it to Purvis Ford and Bob Mills attended me. Bob explained the problem thoroughly and that the repairs to my vehicle would take several days, he got me right into a loaner and I was satisfied.

I had an excellent experience at Purvis Ford. frank and Cathy took great care of me and made the experience as easy as it could have gone. I decided to look at the c max, nissan sentra, honda civic and the hyndai elantra. Of the companies I requested information from, only Ford has gotten back to me so far. I wrote a request on a wednesday, heard back by Wednesday night, and by saturday i had a new car, the c max. Overall I am impressed with my Nee car and how it handles.

I purchased a 2016 Ford Escape. The service was incredible. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I live in Northern Virginia and drove down to Frederickburg because this particular dealership had been recommended to me. When I first arrived I was a bit overwhelmed and nervous as I had not bought a car in 9 years and it had been 4 years since I had a car payment. The staff's excellent customer service and knowledge put me at ease and made the experience all the better. I plan on bringing my Escape here for service.

I scheduled an appointment the day before going. I was early but seen on time. It took an hour to tell me the rotators were bad and needed to be replaced. It took another 30 minutes to change them out and get me out of the store. It was under warranty so I was happy with everything. My only issue would be standing in the service area as the only customer, and taking over 3 minutes to be greeted by one of the six employees. Two kept their heads down as if trying not to acknowledge me while two were sitting and having a conversation, two were their to check people out after the service. Recognize your customers as soon as they walk in, they are the reason you have a job.

Dealership is clean, friendly. Service advisor was great. Service was fast. I have a service contract. I have been her for service twice, both times asking for the fluids to be topped off. DEF was low after 1000 miles and I now have a low coolant warning and the transmission fluid is down a little. Since this is ignored then I am wondering what else is left undone.

On my way to Fredricksburg from Ohio and started having issues with my 2013 Ford Expedtion EL not wanting to turn off. I checked to see if there was a Ford dealership in the area when I was about 3.5 hours out and thank goodness for the great people of Purvis Ford. Greg took all my information over the phone to start with and then turned my issue over to Adam Zandi. These 2 along with everyone in their service department went out of their way to help me. I had 3 10 year olds with me for a wrestling tourney and they offered them snacks and drinks while we waited. Long story short, they had my vehicle fixed in an hour and I was able to roll out. Greg and Adam, I appreciate all you did to take care of us and my vehicle. It was really nice to see that there is a business and people that still take pride in their work and enjoy what they do. Thanks again. By the way, all 3 of my kids won the Virgina Challenge Wrestling Tourney the next day.

Dave was an absolutely wonderful salesman. He was very polite and personable, he made sure to work within our budget and was very attentive. Additionally, the gentleman who handled our financing was also incredibly personable and made the experience very pleasant. My only negative remarks are in regards to the service department. It was later in the evening when we purchased our vehicle and they were unable to perform an inspection on my vehicle. We needed to bring something by the dealership the next day and we were told to bring the car in for the inspection then. I brought my vehicle in about an hour before the inspectors left and was told they were unable to perform the inspection on my 2015 model vehicle with only 19,000 miles. This was especially disheartening considering the inspection was performed the next day at another facility in under an hour. We would have scored excellent had it not been for this experience.We are very satisfied with our purchase and love our F150. We cannot thank Dae enough for all of his assistance throughout our decision making and purchase- we highly recommend him!

We had smoke pouring from our rear wheels on our 2012 F350 Dually while headed to Florida pulling a 13000 lb trailer loaded with hay and 3 dogs on board. Called Ford Roadside assistance who looked for a dealership within 20 miles of our location due to the cost of towing the truck and trailer separately. PURVIS FORD was the fifth dealer they called...the first four could not even look at our truck for 3 to 4 days. Although Purvis was 30 miles from where we were we were able to safely make the trip without a tow (using my manual trailer brakes when needed!!).... Took truck in at 7 a.m. this morning. Russ Wuethrich was our service advisor and he was fantastic. Got me a shuttle back to my hotel, called around 3 hours later to say they had diagnosed the problem (intermittent sticky calliper and cracked as well). Gave me an estimate and told me parts would arrive between 3 and 3:30...called us at 4:30 with the repaired and warranteed job completed $2.00 under what his estimate was in the a.m. Shuttle driver Mike was courteous and prompt. We are working on buying our next Ford truck from this dealership. HIGHLY recommend them...fantastic job all around!!! Could NOT be happier with the outcome after the tense moments on the highway yesterday!

I am on my third Ford truck from Purvis in the past 9 years. I finally graduated from a 150 to a 250. Each vehicle was serviced by Purvis technicians quickly, efficiently, and expertly. My most recent visit was for the worst kind of problem an owner can have and a technician can face, an intermittent problem: my back-up camera sometimes lost its video feed. Although it took a couple of visits, Purvis techs identified the problem and replaced the faulty wiring. It is working great!With the exception of when I travel, all my maintenance in performed by Purvis. I highly recommend them.

F-150 XLT, I took my time in deciding I wanted to purchase the first F-150 XLT that was found, to my specifications and yes you know the rest of the story, someone else bought it on Saturday before I decided to buy on Monday. So this put Purvis Ford back too the drawing board looking for my burgundy, Blue, White, Black truck (yes we looked at all those colors) only to find my Blue Jean truck hiding out back waiting to be cleaned. She had all of 6 miles on her and as many options as my present Lincoln. So if your looking for a truck that drives like a Lincoln talk to the guys at Purvis and make sure you ask them to check in the cleaning bay....you never know.

I don't like car salesman AT all. They are a necessary evil. Taylor came out greeted us and I advised him I would come find him if and when I wanted him. He was perfectly okay with this. We purchased a 2014 Flex. I found Taylor to be helpful, not pushy and came out when I needed assistance on the purchase. The manager working the deal needs to also check to see who he can & cannot hold money on, play games with finance on & who will and will not play with his numbers. Willing to allow a customer to walk over s few $100 is what puts companies out of business.

From the time I rolled in with no appointment, Mike was there to help me get the service I needed much faster than expected. I had some unexpected, but needed repairs. He explained everything in detail and answered any questions I had. He has a very pleasant, friendly, professional manner. I really felt I could trust him. Although I thought my wait time for the repairs was very short, he explained how I can receive even faster service in the future. The re-modelling is very nice. Wow. The dealership where we bought our new car Purvis Ford Lincoln has been nothing but awesome! We had an easy time when we were there finding the car we wanted at the price we wanted. Of course we happened to be there at a busy time and waited a while, which we were prepared for and had no problem with it, but they kept apologizing for the wait and even gave us a 25.00 visa gift card for the long wait! We were there too late for them to clean the new car properly so our salesman, Ross, told us to bring the car back for a cleaning. After telling him we were going away for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary he told us to have a great time and when we bring the car back for the cleaning he would gas it up for us too!!! It gets better! My husband got a package in the mail, and as usual he is gone for the week for work, so I asked him about it. He wasn't expecting anything so he told me to open it. It was a tin of cookies from Fresh Beginnings from Purvis thanking us for our business. I mean talk about customer service. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Purvis Ford for anyone looking for a car. I know Mike and I will only go to them from now on. They really care about their customers and I have never had such a great experience with a company!!

Two weeks ago my 2005 Ford Excursion broke down on Route 17 near Fredericksburg. I live in Springfield. AAA had my vehicle towed to the Purvis Ford dealer. While my Excursion was being repaired, Adam Zandi was excellent about keeping me informed of the progress and cost of the repairs. His kindness and understanding was a comfort. The Excursion is now running very well and I would like to thank Adam and all at the dealership that helped to get me back on the road.

I have previously always been leary of using dealership services. I purchased a new car from Purvis and, being new to the community, did have have knowledge of any other local service businesses. Consequently, I starting taking my car to Purvis but with misgivings. These were totally unfounded. I feel I have always been treated with respect, and having some knowledge of cars and services, do not feel that I have been encouraged to purchase any other than necessary services. I had a very good experience with a courteous person, had exactly what I wanted done, great checklist and I learned of one potential problem which I will have addressed in the coming month that didn't need immediate attention. I've never had a bad experience with Purvis in all my years dealing with them.

I was expecting to spend most of the day waiting for my recall work to be completed. However, the repair took only about and hour and a half. That time was spent in a very nice waiting area. They provide coffee, magazines, tv, and wifi which made the brief time I spent there productive. My service advisor, Mike Iden, and the billing associate were very friendly. After the second attempt to correct the issues with my brakes I contacted Tom, the Service Manager. He took time out of his schedule to go on a test drive. Right away, he was able to identify the problem. When I picked my car up it was like driving a brand new car. The issue was fixed and the noise was gone. Unfortunately, it took me going to the top to get this issue resolved. I feel you have the right man for the job. I know he will mentor the other service advisors to create a great customer focused team. He was very friendly, very professional and is a manager that cares about his customers. I have been to this dealership quite a few times (which might say something about the quality of ford vehicles). The parts department is great, the people are very helpful and they always seem to have the parts in stock. The body shop was great as well. The service department puts me in a bad mood every time I go. They are extremely disorganized, very disjointed and their waiting room is basically worthless. The first time I took my car in I had to get some weather stripping replaced around the window and the airbags reprogramed. They replaced the weather stripping, but did not reprogram the airbags. The second time I took my car in, to get the air bags reprogramed, it took 15 min to get checked in (with an appointment). Apparently the service department does not work as one unit and you have to deal with the service advisor you scheduled the appointment with, so when you show up they need to find the person that you scheduled the appointment with. The last time I took my car in for a transmission diagnostic, I had to make my appointment two months out (which really seems to speak to the quality of ford vehicles). I dropped my car off at 830 (the appointment time), by 10 AM they had not event touched my car. I asked about how long it was going to be and they said it will be here most of the day. Why would you even have appointment times if you are not going to service the car close to that time? Also when you see me waiting there with a one year old why would you not say: "hey it is going to be an 8 hour wait."? Also if you are going to have wait that long you need a waiting room with more amenities than four chairs and some old magazines. I am seriously considering selling my car, so I do not have to deal with ford anymore.Update:I was contacted back by management right away. They do seem to care about their customers experiences. I was informed there is another waiting area with a TV, kids play area and more chairs. One of the consultants can let you know where the additional waiting area is If you do not see it.

My salesperson, Frank, was extremely professional and patient with us while helping us choose the vehicle that was right for us. He went above and beyond. Instead of pushing us in one direction, he patiently allowed us to test drive several vehicles. At the end of the first day, we needed to take a day or two to decide which vehicle purchase. There was never any hard sell or pushing us to buy "today". In fact, the Sales Manager, Doug, offered to hold whichever vehicle we chose and wait for us to get our money from our account to pay for the vehicle. The sincerity of the sales staff kept us from even looking at several other vehicles, which was our initial intention. We stayed with Purvis Ford and never looked at another vehicle. We purchased a 2015 Transit Connect Wagon.

I bought the car in a timely manner, didn't have to spend half a day waiting. When I took it in for it's first service, it was a very busy day. I was told at least 3 times how sorry they were I had to wait (which was only about 10 minutes). I had planned on just getting the oil changed, but the service member advised me that the state inspection was also due. I hadn't even noticed! Told them I could drop it off and getbit the next day because it was so busy and they called me a few hours later to let me know it was ready for pick up. I was also very happy to learn I had a free inspection and 50% off my first oil change! Very impressive service!

Had to visit twice in one day because your staff does not know how to reset low tire light warning. Wife told staff they needed to do more than check pressure and add air and that driving around after that would not reset light. She was right! Recommend you take time to check if the customer has a warranty. Especially if the customer bought the warranty through the dealership. There was no mention of my warranty when I was given a quote for the services. It wasn't until I brought it at the time I arrived to pick up and pay for the truck that you agreed I had a warranty and decided to check if the service was covered. I bought a 2014 Ford F 150 lariat EcoBoost. 35000 miles I took my truck in because it would not start that was on May 30th 2015 and every weekend after that I took the truck in because it wouldn't start they change something behind my dashboard may me pay $200 because my car was out of warranty when I took it back and that did not fix then they kept it for two weeks and said that it was the gear shift. here we are in September and my truck is still not fix. they have my truck for a week. has not returned my phone calls and they still can't figure out what's wrong with my truck also they will not give me a rental car because I need to call there corporate office to see if they get reimbursed I would not recommend this company to anybody I will never buy another ford again. Also called the corporate office four times their outside sales rep for this area is a joke and her boss. all im ask for is to be reimbursed for the $200 because the part that engineer said that this will fix it. they kept telling me the truck was out of warranty. This week September 8 they reached out to other ford companies and basically said replace a bunch of parts which they've already replaced and alots of them came back and said it can't be fixed. so where do I go from here now it's fun waking up at two and a half year old a month and a half year old and my wife to just take me to work l. I'm just over it.

We were returning from a vacation when our Lincoln started having issues. We called Adam Zandi at Purvis Ford, and explained our issue. He told us to bring the car in, and they would look at it for us.Adam did an awesome job with communicating our status to us, regarding what they were looking at, and possible issues. We were not able to get the car repaired that day, and still had to return home to New York, Adam set up a loaner/rental for us, and got us on our way.Adam kept in touch daily, even calling well after their closing time to make sure we had an updated status until the car was repaired.I understand it wasn't just Adam, though he is the person we worked with, so kudos and thank you to the entire service team, your help was very much appreciated.Also, I would be remiss if I didn't thank the gentleman that drove us in the courtesy van. He was a great driver, and we had fun talking with him.By far, the best service experience I have had with any dealership, and unfortunately, the new level that I will have to compare local dealers to.. :).

I purchased my Lincoln Town car from Purvis in 2006 and have always used Purvis for all of my service needs. Service advisor Zandi has always been my go to guy as he will go out of his way to make things easier. One occasion I remember well Mr Zandi came by Mary Washington Hospital where I was volunteering and picked up my car for service early in the morning on his way to work. This was above and beyond the call of duty and one of the many things that have taken place and made me a loyal customer. Thank you Mr Zandi

Very nice and friendly staff. My only issue is that I made my appointment for opening time at 730am. But when I arrived at 720, there was already a line of about 10 cars ahead of me. I didn't see a rep until about 8am. My routine oil change took over 90 minutes. Still, nice folks, good price and good service.

I have many dealers and service stations in my area but I choose to use Purvis Ford Service Department and I always ask for Russ when I go. Russ will great you with a smile and a pleasant salutation. He is very easy to talk with and he will give you all options to have your car fixed, especially the least expensive. He will explain the Pro's and the Con's on each item and what I like most is that he will tell you if you really need to have a particular service function performed or not. He makes your problem his problem - I like that. Thank you Russ and Purvis Ford.

From day 1, my wife and I have loved how friendly everyone at Purvis Ford is. We purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion back in February 2015. We've experienced some bad purchases before and Purvis clearly blew all those bad experiences out of the water. Whereas the process at other dealerships seem to go on forever, Purvis made it quick and easy and we were out the door. The service department so far has been nothing but superb. We've had Purvis do maintenance on our Ford Ranger truck and was always pleased so now we're happy they also service our Fusion. Frank Stewart was our POC for this maintenance. We appreciate his professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail as well as the desire for our 100% satisfaction - he got it!

The regular maintenance was excellent service and Adam was excellent in assisting me in setting up other items that needed to be checked. He is a great asset to Purvis. My disappointment is having to bring back the vehicle due to whoever did the service stating they "could not duplicate" the eye glass holder not opening or the front upholstry coming up - what is there to duplicate. The gentleman that rode with me to make sure the GPS was working properly saw that the eye glass holder would not open and the upholstry coming up. What was wrong with the service tech that he saw neither? Or maybe he just did not want to bother with it. Now I have to set up another appointment, also have to get another rental car and make two trips to Purvis after getting off to drop off and pick up my Escape.

I had a a great experience with getting my Lincoln MKX serviced here. The service adviser, Greg, took the pertinent information and kept me in the loop. The issue was one requiring Lincoln headquarters to get involved because of a no-longer available part and the service department provided me with a loaner vehicle for an extensive time period without issue. The serve team was very thorough in diagnosing and resolving the problem and has my vehicle back in service for this warranty repair.

I took the F-150 in for a state inspection but ended up having to pay for wiper blades and a third tail light. I didn't expect to pay for these items. The state inspection took much longer then I expected. Though the service staff is personable and courteous the actual wait time was longer then it should be. Overall a good experience.

Russ Wuethrich was my service advisor today. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He got my car in fast and quickly identified the problem. Since this was my first time needing service, he explained the process and mentioned possible costs up front, which was extremely helpful to me. He also fully explored my warranty and reiterated what would and would not be covered.My son recommended that I go to Purvis Ford because he had gone there previously and was pleased with the service he received. If you live in Fredericksburg, VA and own a Ford or Lincoln, I would highly recommend both Russ and Purvis Ford.

I expect when I purchase a car from a dealership (new or used) that it be detailed and cleaned out and up. I would expect the car be gone through (certified) all components (Air Conditioning)/parts work. Even though we are told bring the car back in that Purvis will make it right. It is not the most convenient thing to ask a customer. Our time is as important as anyone at Purvis.

I have been dealing with Purvis Ford for several years now for service on my 2008 Escape Hybrid. I cannot recall EVER having a bad experience. Most recently, while I was out running errands, I learned that my left turn signal had stopped working. I called at 4:20 pm to ask if they could possibly work me in (I'm one of those silly people who likes to USE turn signals!). They were closing at 5:00 pm and I was advised that the techs might not be able to get to look at the signal at that time, but I was welcome to come right in. Since I was already out and just a few minutes away, I did, with the understanding that I could return the next day if they were unable to accommodate me. When I arrived, I was greeted with smiles and offered immediate assistance. Bear in mind that the service department was 30 minutes from closing and had several customers waiting to pick up their cars - I wouldn't have expected them to be rude, but the welcome I got was warm and customer-service oriented. REAL customer service. Greg Cizek checked with the techs and the bulb for the signal was replaced before I could even get comfy in the waiting room! I have had almost all my service done at Purvis Ford for this very reason... Consistently high quality customer service sustained over SEVEN years, no matter what the concern. I've never felt jerked around, mislead, or cheated by ANYONE at Purvis. Their estimates seem to always come in exactly at or below what I have been quoted. This is unusual for any industry; for automotive service, I believe it is even more rare. No matter what make or model vehicle I may have in the future, Purvis will be my go-to.

I had a good experience buying 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid - I especially appreciated the technical training to use all the displays and features. I purchased the Gold Care package as well. My car did have to go in for service but my service advisor, Greg got my car in the shop the same day - I used a loaner to get back to work but if I didn't have the extra coverage, I could have received a ride on the shuttle. The staff there made a point to meet me and introduce themselves. I have never owned a Ford but feel very comfortable at this dealership.

I was in need of a work Van. My other one that I owned for 12 years just gave up the ghost. Due to my financial situation, I was not sure what I was going to be able to do. I needed something reliable, due the miles I drive. I travel all of Maryland, Virginia, and DC. I did no want to purchase a used vehicle if I could afford it.It takes a lot of work for me to transfer all of supplies from one truck to another. I was afraid, by the time I was to get everything moved, and the truck set up the way I need it, it would be a short time to do it all again. I am hoping the new Van is going to last at least 10 years. We will see...I want to Thank my Salesperson Daniel Mullins, not only for the professionalism he showed, but also and the care he showed for my situation. I also want to Thank the financial team for being able to work with me on the payments. The Salesman Dan Mullins went above and behond to get me the price I wanted for my F-150. He was available on and off the job and kept me informed of every process over the phone. I went to the dealership twice, once to drive the truck and the second time to sign the paperwork. I have had quite a lot of problems with my car and have been given the run around by many others. I called Mike Iden and he got me in to have my car hooked up to the computer to see if they could identify the issue. This was of some concern to me as I am an elderly woman with limited financial resources. When Mike came to let me know my car was ready, not only had they run the codes but they'd fixed the car -- at no extra cost! The service was polite, professional, and timely. The waiting area was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. I was beyond pleased.

We purchased a Fusion at Purvis Ford in Fredericksburg, VA. Our salesman, Shawn O'Donnell, greeted us as soon as we arrived. He was very professional and cordial, and listened to us about the type of vehicle in which we were interested. He kept in contact with us and notified us that he had located the vehicle and that it would be on the Purvis lot the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. He made sure we were given consideration for rebates involved in that weekend sale. We purchased the Fusion that same day and drove it home. I walked in knowing mostly what I wanted and was a bit disappointed with the first numbers I was shown etc. I walked away, looked at my numbers, thought about it, called a few other dealers who had called me to make me offers. I came alone with no other transportation for the day. It was a weekday, and not quite near the end of the month and I needed my inspection. I didn't think they would be quite as busy as they were. When I was told it could be at least 1.5 hours, and knowing I had other errands to run....it was my only day off, and I live 40 miles from the dealership, I debated for several minutes, but decided to sign in anyways. Ford Flex: I brought my vehicle in a few weeks ago to have my seat worked on along with scheduled maintenance. I got a call late in the afternoon that I would have to pay $165 just to have a technician look at it and they were running out of time that afternoon. I told them to forget about it. Several other issues happened on this visit that I was extremely disappointed in. So I told them not to bother with it and I would bring it back in. So I contacted Ford again (for this visit) and told them that I had an extended warranty and needed to bring my vehicle in. I was told it would be $100 deductible and any expense would be covered. I told the individual that I did not want to work with the same individual I did last time. I was told I wouldn't have to but when I arrived he had still been assigned to my visit. The seat was fixed to my satisfaction this time. My question is why can they not tell that I have an extended warranty especially since I bought my vehicle from this dealership? Shouldn't they have known the first time that I brought my vehicle in that it would be covered? Also, this same person contacted me when I brought my vehicle in asking if I wanted several other services that I had on my previous visit just 2 months prior. I would suggest that the staff be more informed. However, I will say that over the past several years that I have used this dealership for all of my services and maintenance and they have been on top of things. It may have just been this one individual.

I brought my 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer in due to the fact that my key fob was not working and to have Purvis Ford retrieve or resurrect the original factory external touch pad code since I did not have this code when I purchased it from a used car dealer. Well, even though they used a brand new "Ford" key fob they were unable to get my key fob or the new one working, but they did resurrect the factory code and now I can use the external key pad to open and close the doors. The mechanic told me that when I brought the SUV back to the dealership he will attempt to fix the key fob situation using a "decision tree" computer or system troubleshooting method. I could have left my Explorer for him to spend more time on the key fob problem but I had already paid $85.00 for the key pad resurrection and I couldn't afford to pay for more labor and a new key fob until the end of the month. Russ the service writer said bring my Explorer in again and they "will" fix my key fob problem

On April 28 we left Norwalk, CT for a car show in Virginia Beach. Driving a Ford truck pulling a antique car which was in a enclosed trailer. I must mention that we had just come back from a car show in NC. On that trip the transmission broke and was replaced at the Ford Dealership in NC. Fortunately under warranty. On returning to CT, the truck was checked out at the dealership in Norwalk. After a oil change, etc. we left for the trip to VA. Truck was very sluggish on any incline. Drove as far as Frederickson and found Purvis 9 miles off the highway to have it checked. Really concerned as we thought it might be the motor. From the moment we drove up to Purvis we were so happy to meet a wonderful team of workers. After going with registration, etc. we were driven to lunch and picked up. We were told it could be a 3 hour wait. As it turned out a boost center censor was not plugged in. Apparently it was overlooked when it was serviced before the trip. We were so pleased with the good news. We were on our way after Ted showed off his 1933 Ford Cavilier convertible. Went to the meet in VA, visited family in KY, off to Auburn IND for another car show. We were gone 14 days and had no problems with the truck. Thank you so much for your wonderful service

Purvis Ford service generally has had a bad reputation over the years but even knowing about all the bad stories I heard, I still took a chance. Stupid once, stupid me right... I went three times. The very first time I tried them. I was in the service and Adam was proudly exclaming how long he had worked there, all the while telling me how horible my 04 Excursion with a six liter is and how much it was going to cost with all the mechanical failures it would have. I'm thinking OMG! REALLY!!! The second time I went there everything worked out fine. This third time I went for an oil change that was included in the "Works" package off I received in the mail from Purvis and on the back it showed that I had a $30 credit in "Rewards Bouns", When I go there, they told me the "Rewards" weren't valid any more. So, I sucked it up and said ok. I asked them not to rotate the tires because the place that put the tires on had just done that the day before. The tire rotation and brake check is also included in the "Works" package. So, when I go to pick up the car the cashier tells me that the brake check was not done because the rotation was not done. So, I had to go back in and confront the service guy (Gregg Cizek) (nice guy) who was nice enough to go and get a mechanic to put the truck on a lift pull the wheels and do the brake check. What you need to know about this place is that there are both good and bad employees there and that you need to be very careful about dealing with this place. Double check everything!!!

Had a grinding noise/feeling in my '06 F150, thought it was brakes or possibly transmission. Worked with Frank in the service department, ended up being wheel bearing. He did a good job explaining the issue. While I was there I also had my keyless entry reprogrammed in my F150 and Explorer plus extra key for Explorer. Did not take long to get everything fixed. Overall good visit feel a lot better now that my truck is running good!

I purchased a 2014 Ford Focus from Purvis Ford in November 2014. My salesman was Joe Schuon. He was no-nonsense and extremely trustworthy. A real straight shooter from the moment we first met. My Service Manager is Mike Iden. I recently brought my vehicle to Purvis for an oil change and tire rotation. The service department team found a defective drive shaft that if wasn't caught could have caused serious damage to my beloved Focus or worse, caused an accident. Mike ordered the part and it was in the next day. He offered to provide me with a loaner vehicle and had me in and out without issue. The technicians fixed my car and it drives like a dream. I can't speak highly enough about the integrity, friendly customer service, and good old fashion family atmosphere that I have experience at Purvis Ford. Kudos to all!

Late last summer I bought a new 2014 F150, 4x4, SuperCab. Soon after I purchased the truck I noticed the drivers side speaker was cracking. I was able to live with it for several months since I don't normally listen to the radio but do like to listen to audio-books. I wasn't planning on going into the dealer the day I finally went but while I was driving by I made a quick decision to pull in and have it looked at. The shop immediately took me in and replaced the speaker. I was in and out in less than 1.5 hours which considering I didn't have an appointment was right by me. The Purvis team was profession and I was very satisfied with the service.

Took car in due to trembling. It took a long time to repair with no loaner. Loaners according to Serv. dept are only for clients of Lincoln vehicles. Vehicle was finally supposedly repaired $1300+ later. Within 2 days it started trembling again worse than before. I telephoned to let them know and was then told they had broke my cruise control to bring it in for that too and it could only be on a weekday because they do not have mechanics on weekends and no loaner will be available. I returned it and they said they hooked it up to the diagnostic machine and said they couldn't find anything wrong. When I picked up my vehicle cruise control was fixed and all of sudden the shaking stopped. It is now a few weeks later and it started again but why should I take it to a dealership who can't even find out the problem. Not to mention the sarcastic comment that I should take my vehicle back to Florida to be repaired. Spent all this money just to have the same problem what a scam.

I arrived on the 8th to work with Russ, the service adviser. With the mileage at about 98,000 miles, I assumed I would be paying a small fortune at least 300-400. When Russ did the write-up, the figure came to$515.00. I choked slightly but knew it had to be done. Somewhere the back of my brain I decided to ask about this maintenance program I have with Ford. After a bit of research done by Russ, I realized that the work to be done would be free - yes FREE. It's a good thing I decided to use my brain and ask, not assume. I left the dealership a happy camper, thanks to Russ and Purvis, of course. My trip to Purvis Ford was worth at least a 12 not a 10.

I was very surprised at the attention and courtesy I was shown during this visit because last October when I had service there I was all but ignored when I arrived and during my wait. This time I was greeted in the bay right away and treated by very friendly people who directed me where to go and by name who to see. I wouldn't deal with anyone other than Purvis.As a person with a disability, Purvis does their best to see I am well taken care of from looking for a new vehicle to seeing it gets equipped with hand control, to driving it off the lot.They take care of me and make sure I continue to have a safe ride.

Took my car in for an inspection I did not expect any issues because about a month ago I had an oil change and at that time was told there was no other problems. At the inspection there were suspension issues that needed addressed. I told them I was not expecting issues and needed the care by 3:00 because I had wedding practice that night. I was told it would be ready but it was not. I had to make arrangements to have it picked up later. I think if the car is dropped off the night before so it can be looked at early I should be notified of problems before I am calling at 11:00 to see if it is ready for pick up. The work was completed but really made a mess of a day that I had a lot of things planned around getting the car completed.

The staff directed our interest to a used truck to meet our needs by listening to us and saved us a lot of time and money. Their attention to what we were looking for helped us focused on need vice nice-to-have. The truck had 15K miles, single owner, 4-wheel drive, and at a great price. The whole process at this location took approximately 2 hours. Our first stop was another dealership that dealership attempted to sell us a sports car instead of the 4-wheel drive we were looking for plus straight out lied to my wife on availability of trucks on the lot (which she found several trucks while walking around as they ignored her), which led to a permanent fail in our trust. We trust the Purvis dealership highly. I recommend Purvis to all true Ford lovers and anyone looking for a good vehicle. They treat you fair.

Took my edge in because one of the marker lights down by the bumper got pushed out by snow and sluch in a storm on I95. Service told me to bring it right on in, when I got there Russ looked at it and called over to the paint and body shop, they had me bring it over there. Robyn looked at it and got the technician( cant't remeber his name)he told Robyn what it was going to entail and she gave me and estimate. The had the new clips put on and me on my way in lees then 20 minutes from the time I first pulled into the dealership. It cost me less than half of what the estimate was. The service dept and the body shop are excellent and the staff provide excellent service.

I called to schedule a service but because I work the same time as your service hours I was unable to get a week day. I was told Saturdays were first come first serve and you opened at 7. I arrived at 6:50 and there was a line out to the street. I could not wait that long for a simple oil change. My salesman Frank called me on Monday and apologized for the wait. Frank M. and Doug D. were extremely helpful in helping me understand different models, even in 10* temperatures. I never felt pressure to buy what didn't interest me. Frank listened to my needs and quickly searched for an exact match. Most impressive was an honest discussion on cost and a perceived willingness to meet me somewhere in the middle. Kathy Smith was great with finance. When I discovered that the VIN number was wrong, thus a different car being sold, she immediately called to "bring smoke." Problem was resolved; everything I ordered was an exact match, but the person picking up the car decided for whatever reason to select this VIN. So no harm, no foul and the deal closed. I even met Emily P. and Doug E. as if I was royalty. This is how buying a car should be: an expectation of kindness, smiles and honesty. PS I love the new layout, just add a hot tub!

My husband and I have been talking about our experience ever since we left the dealership. On a scale of 1-10, we'd rate our experience at a 10. Everyone we came in contact with at Purvis Ford was down to earth friendly. Really appreciated being walked around the dealership and introduced to the staff and each person we met really made us feel welcome and let us know our business was appreciated. We bought vehicles from another dealership and the experience took almost four hours - and we had a check with us to buy the car! Could not understand this, especially when we called ahead to let them know we were on our way. We came to Purvis expecting the same thing and the experience was just wonderful. When I called and talked to Tom in service he suggested I come in for an oil change around 1 pm. When I got to your service dept, didn't see Tom but saw Mike Iden who I usually deal with as we are friends. Mike said no problem, he suggested the "Works" which I agreed to. During the multi-point inspection it was noted that my rear brake pads were at the limit. Mike asked if I would like them replaced and gave an idea of how much it would cost. I said yes and when they were turning the rotors it was taking a long time as they had hot spotted. He asked if I would like new ones and they were in stock. I agreed as this is my daily driver. Also suspected that I might need them as they were original rotors with 175,000 miles on them. I thank your service dept for the outstanding service they provide. My thanks again to Mike Iden.

This is my second fusion hybrid and I bought the first one at Purvis which says something because I would not have returned had not my first experience been great. Also, when I brought the 2013 in for any maintenance I was very satisfied with the speed and quality of the work done by the mechanics. The whole set up was / is fantastic! I had the same salesman each time (Barry Jones) and if he really does retire I will be pretty sad! But having said that, the whole staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there is no undue pressure to buy. I work in customer service so I am very well aware of what good service is and Purvis delivers! If I ever need another new car, you can bet I will shop here first.

Frank Stewart from service was extremely helpfull. He answered all our question and was very curtious in spite of the fact he had a lot of other work he was dealing with. We felt like we were his only customer. Lisa from the body shop was also very helpful. She was able to get an answer for us in a record amount of time. She called us back and set up an appointment.Our Blue Tooth for our phone has not worked properly and we thought it would be repaired. They thought they had repaired it but it is still not working properly. The other repors will need to be rescheduled do to parts not being available. We will bring that back in to service

As far as I can tell, the work that was done is good. What I'm not happy with is that I was told that the $55 I was charged for the diagnostic that I had done would be applied to the final bill. That was not done. Granted, the diagnostic was not done the same day as the repair, but that shouldn't be an issue as I did bring it back to you for the repair. When I spoke with Mike in Service, I had asked multiple times if it would be applied and was told that there wouldn't be a problem with this...obviously, he was mistaken. I am disappointed to say the least. I've brought my vehicle in to be serviced since 2008.

The only negative in going to a dealership for service is the time needed to wait my turn before knowing the diagnosis. I spent all morning with no way to go do anything else. (All morning includes the work performed). But the service is honest without "upsell" and the quality is reassuring.

Dealer kept me informed every step of the way. Customer Service was outstanding. The buying process is always a long, drawn out process so it is not one of my favorite times. The quality of repairs have been exceptional. I think that the facilities can be upgraded to make it more customer friendly and user based for internet use. I also recommend the dealer look to upgrade their service department to less paper intensive and use the tablets to record all of the vehicle history, log in the car to service and keep track of the vehicle history by scanning a bar code associated with the car. It make like so much easier for the service technician and the customer.

It was a little disoranized in checking people in. I think it might be beneficial if some appts could be scheduled. I am a "preferred" customoer or what ever its called, it seems like two hours is a long time for an oil change and tire rotation. The work is good and the people are all very nice and I was prepared to wait, but I may not always have the time to wait which limits when I can bring the car in.

I felt like I had to keep calling to get updated. When a customer has a major problem and the vehicle is there for a number of days I think the service advisor should keep the customer up to date every day. I asked the salesman what I could get trading the vehicle in. They looked at it on a Friday when the service advisor was off. He appeared to be more concerned because I had someone look at the vehicle I guess he thought I was checking up on him. If he was doing his job why should he be worried?

I spent 5 hours getting brakes and rotors. After install I began hearing a high-pitched rotating noise on my side of the vehicle and an intermittent grinding when I brake. I noted this on the survey emailed to me. The service manager contacted me. I stated I couldn't take another day off to get the problem corrected. He provided a rental car. Called me the next day to say the problem had been fixed and I could pick up my vehicle. The problem wasn't solved. I called to let him know. He acted indifferent to the high pitched sound and admitted that the employee who test drove my vehicle after it was "fixed" heard the grinding but did nothing to investigate the source.My brakes still make these noises and when I buy a new vehicle next year I will have to travel further from home to do so.

My husband and I were there for 3+hrs. We worked with a sales guy Daniel who was fun and nice and caring. We would've bought a car from him. But when it came time to close the deal, Doug Dickson wanted way too much for the particular car and the price he wanted to give me for mine was way too low, insulting even. At the end of the day, all we got was a wasted night and the number to another Ford dealership who was WAY lower in price. Do your homework people.

Hi there, just wanted to express my concern about my Ford C-Max. It has been said to "never buy a car that is a new model to the company". Why? Because they are still working out the glitches. Well I am finding that statement to be true in my case. I brought the C-Max Dec 29th, 2013. And I am beginning to think I have a lemon. It has had at least 4 recalls and more than 5 things that needed to be fixed. Now here we are again this time its major, the transmission has to be replaced. They say it's under Warranty but they have had my car for now, in 2 days, will be a month. They gave me a rental that is eating me up in gas money, which was why I brought the Hybrid in the first place to save on the gas, (my commute is long). At this point I'm worried about what else will break down. Do I need to sell this car back to you and buy non-American. I was traveling to New York with my sister on June 19th 2014 when my 2013 Ford Fusion had problems. I pulled into Purvis Ford-Lincoln around 4 pm. and Adam Zandi came to my rescue. Found my car's traction and airbags quit working and was un drivable. He said it was under warranty (18000) and he arranged for Ford to pay for a rental while mine was being fixed. Kept me informed. My wife recently had a couple of problems with her 2011 Ford Edge where the drivers side door would not register that it was closed, and the lift gate on the back of the car would not hold itself open. After scheduling an appointment online and never receiving confirmation that her appointment was accepted (website said she would receive an email confirming) she finally called prior to taking her vehicle in to ensure they were expecting her vehicle. Apparently the appointment had been scheduled, but all the service employees were too busy to respond to her. When she took her car in to drop it off she explained the aforementioned problems, and was assured that they would figure out exactly what the problems were and that they be covered under her warranty. Several hours later they called her to tell her that they had determined the cause of both problems, and that they in fact were not covered under warranty and it would cost over $400 to fix both problems. She quickly declined and we went to pick up her car. Once we got to the dealership to pick up her car we were informed that it was a minimum $100 "service" charge since they looked at her car, even though nothing had been fixed. After talking with a service rep named Adam, and he said over and over again that he had never even hinted to my wife that these problems would be covered by warranty, and that he had supposedly clearly explained that regardless of the outcome of the "services" they provided, we would be charged a minimum fee of $100 for their time. If that had been the case, we would not have gone there, so for him to say that is the same as calling my wife stupid. After about 10 minutes of back and forth with Adam, I finally accepted my fate that we had done business with a shady dealership that only cared about the one time sell and not repeat business. So with my blood boiling, I paid the fee so we could leave before I lost my temper. This was not my first bad experience with Purvis Ford, but it will be my last dealings with any Ford dealership, as I do not plan to ever again purchase a Ford product, and will recommend that my friends follow suit.

My wife went into the dealership to purchase a new vehicle and then had me come along because she had her eyes set on a Ford Edge. She didn't talk numbers and was told very little. The vehicles history was difficult to understand from what I was told and then there was some sort of $1500 maintenance that was performed and no one could explain what it was. So that's when I came in. I requested papers which took forever to receive and then finding the hidden vehicle was impossible because no one knew where it was. The interior was dirty but the exterior was washed. Joe was unprofessional. Smoked in front of myself and my wife. Used profane language and wasn't knowledgeable on services conducted on the vehicle or the vehicles' history. After talking numbers for a high mileage vehicle, they would only budge $500 and told me not a cent more. Completely dissatisfied with service, we put our coats back on an left. No one held the doors open for either of us and most just stood there staring or using their cell phones and completely ignored us. Mr. Dudley was the only one that greeted us. I took my business to Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg and walked out that very same day with a vehicle. I would not and will not recommend this dealership to anyone

In January 2012, I bought my used 2005 Ford Expedition and a two year Ford Base Care extended warranty from Cowles Ford. Purvis Ford is more convenient so on 8/13/2013, I took the vehicle there for diagnosis of a transmission noise, excessive cycling of the air conditioner issue and for an issue with my dealer installed aftermarket Ford security system which caused the alarm to activate for no reason. After leaving the vehicle for several days, I returned to pick up the vehicle and paid the $150.00 diagnostic charge. They could not duplicate the transmission noise (I still hear it), the alarm situation had not been investigated, and they advised that the refrigerant may be low on the a/c but they needed another $120 to diagnose the system. They did include a "complimentary multipoint inspection which according to their paperwork included a brake system check which included brakes lines, hoses, and parking brake. Because I was upset that the all the requested work had not been complete, I got to speak with the shop foreman who advised that the cycling of the a/c was not normal. On my own, I checked and added refrigerant, but the system continued to cycle excessively. So I took the vehicle back in for a/c and alarm work. I paid the $120 to diagnose the a/c and another $150 to fix the alarm. They advised that the a/c was now fine (contrary to what the shop foreman told me). The alarm again activated randomly. After repeated attempts to get them to fix the alarm (at considerable inconvenience), they finally advised that they could not fix it, but only could remove it for another $200. When asked if they could apply the money I spent to fix the alarm (with negative results) to the removal fee, Service Manager Scott Lester declined. $270 and no corrective action taken. On 12/17/2013, I had a complete brake brake failure caused by a ruptured front brake line. My wife called Frank Stewart to assess whether the ruptured line would be covered under my warranty. He could not find any records regarding my Ford Expedition! He then advised that the brake lines were not covered under the warranty. So we had the vehicle repaired at a local garage where I had left the vehicle after brake failure. By simply looking at the Ford Base Care warranty brochure, I then determined that brake lines were specifically included in the warranty. The next day I called Purvis and while Frank Stewart was not there, the other service writer immediately found my vehicle in their database! Frank Stewart later advised that the brake lines were not covered because rust was the cause of failure (although they never saw the brake lines) and rust was considered an environmental problem which was excluded from the warranty. Frank Stewart further advised, that it was important to have lines inspected regularly. I found it interesting that in the four month period from Purvis' "multipoint inspection" (which included a check of the brake lines), the front line had now rusted so significantly as to cause a catastrophic failure of the braking system. Bottom line, Ford would not allow my warranty claim. My impression of Purvis' service is horrible and if at all possible I will never take my vehicle there again. I am completely dissatisfied and will tell everyone of my poor experiences with them.

First of all, my SUV seems to be completely fixed. After leaving the service center and driving around for about 30 minutes, none of the issues that were "normal" to the operation of the vehicle prior to service displayed. Granted, it's been less than 24 hours, but at the very least, things are much improved.I was most impressed with the service I received from Adam. He was professional, courteous, and helpful. He neither talked over my head (amazing considering I know little about cars) nor talked down to me. He patiently answered all my questions, and even explained a couple of things I thought I understood to make sure we were on the same page. He gave me options, explained the pricing very well, and ultimately did what we wanted without argument or negativity. He kept me informed on each stage of the process, staying true to his word. And the final price at checkout--came in $10 less than what I was quoted. Awesome job, Adam!

Went up to get fuel filter put on truck.. after the work was done guy takes me back tells me brake line leak. I drove to Richmond 3 days and up there that morning. No Leaks. They refuse to work with me on this I got three miles up the road to the super target all brake fluid gone. How did I not lose any coming up there or the other three days??????? He should've took me back before he touched anything because stevie wonder could've saw this stuff. Place is a joke will never go back TOYOTA and HONDA on my next list!!! Goodbye to this dump. REFUSE to go back even if they fixed the problem. I am going to say the problem was not like that until after the work was done. A joke 600.00 to fix that . Would not stop at this place to go to the bathroom if I had a stomach cramp. Dissastified with people who lie.

I may have the salesman name misspelled. I only heard the last name and did not see it printed. He was very nice and professional. My daughter and I bought a used Ford Edge and she is very happy with the car. I was leery about dealing with Purvis because about 15 years ago, I had a Taurus I bought from another dealer. It was giving me transmission problems, I took it twice to Purvis and even though it was new and under warranty, the mechanics looked at it (I was told), and then announced there were no problems and that would be $50 for them looking at the car. I was outraged. After the second attempt to get my transmission fixed, I took it to another dealer and the mechanic said he didn't even get it out of the parking lot for a test drive and he could tell there was a problem. That dealer installed a new transmission. We had a similar situation with my daughter's Mustang. It had a problem and needed warranty work and of course the service department could not find a thing wrong with it (another $50 charge). We had to take it somewhere else to be repaired. So I avoided Purvis until now. I decided to give them another chance and I am happy I did. I guess things do change but the sting of $150.00 is something that is hard to forget.

I had been looking for a used F250, crew cab with an 8ft bed for about a month on autoTrader. Kept expanding my search until I found a listing from Purvis Ford. I live in Winston-Salem, NC and Purvis is almost 300 miles away. I called and explained to a salesman the situation. I told him I was willing to drive the 300 miles but I needed an exact and accurate description of the truck. He immediately walked out to the truck to look it over while I was on the phone asking specific questions about it's condition. He even went so far as to look under the bedliner and crawl under the truck to verify that a fifth wheel hitch had never been mounted in the bed. He described the truck as looking brand new inside and out and I found that to be the case when I went to buy it. The AutoTrader carfax showed the truck to be worth 1500 dollars more than the asking price. Still, I ask if they would sweeten the deal considering I was driving 300 miles to buy it. They dropped the price another 1000 dollars and that sealed the deal. Purvis took care of the financing through Wells Fargo at a great interest rate and the whole process took just over an hour. I still can't believe that I drove that far to buy a truck relying basically on the salesman's description, but I'm glad I did. I'm very happy with the truck. It had 18000 miles on it and I was able to get into an XLT trim package for less than the price of a new work truck trim.

I have a 2004 F250 diesel with 145,000 miles; which required an EGR cooler repair; oil cooler replacement; high pressure oil pump service and fuel injector replacement. The repair work on the truck was performed by me, all parts and supplies were purchased through Purvis Ford Parts department. Additional diagnostic services and FICM replacement was required to be performed by the Purvis ford Service department in which to finalize the repair on the truck. The truck is running one hundred percent better.I would like to take this opportunity to thank Scott Lester for his help, assistance, feedback and information provided in the repair of my 2004 F250 diesel. I really appreciate the feedback Scott Montgomery provided me in the repair of the truck, I found the information he was able to provide me to be very helpful and valuable in concluding the repairs of my truck. I was experiencing difficulties with my vehicle starting. It would run great for a few days and the battery would die. I have a daily commute of 35 miles and need a dependable vehicle. I went to Purvis, November 12, 2012 and was greeted by a very courteous service advisor, Russell Wuethrich. I described my issues and I was offered a shuttle ride to my office. Mr. Wuethrich kept in contact with me, advising of the problems found and recommendations. I took his advice and asked for a tune up also. He made several other suggestions and I asked he consult my service log book for the last six years. Service performed at other locations filled in the gaps in question. I appreciated the fact that he took the time to look as he said he did not want to charge me for services previously rendered. Accepting all of his recommendations, I was able to have my vehicle serviced with a tune up, an adjustment to a wheel bearing, a new battery, an electrical diagnostic test, an oil change and several other applications. I was very pleased that I could have all this done on the day I brought it in and drive home that night. The courtesy extended by Mr. Wuethrich as he represented his service team and Purvis Ford was outstanding.

He looks out for the customer regarding safety and makes common sense decisions as he advises a customer of their vehicle's needs. I had a problem with my 2010 Mustang GT, It turned out to be the alternator. This is my first visit to Purvis. Tony Simms took care of all my questions and needs. Mr. Simms was very friendly and helpful. My car had to stay, because the problem started afternoon on a Friday, they were very very quick to give me a loner vehicle. I will gladly return to this dealership for all my cars needs. Thanks again Tony.

I can't speak for Sales, but I have had nothing but bad experiences with the service department with this dealership. It all started back in 2005 when I bought a brand-new F-150 Super Crew. Two weeks after purchase, I started having problems with it starting. I took it in to have them look at it, and when I explained that sometimes the truck wouldn't start, the service adviser laughed at me. Seriously. That was the beginning of a service saga that would last two years until I moved. I returned to the area in 2010, and about a year ago, had problems with my Mustang. After hearing the engine hum through my radio, they diagnosed it as the alternator. At $400, I approved the repairs, but when I drove it home, the buzz was still there, just not as loud. I took the car back the next day and told the service advisor that the problem wasn't fixed. Later that day, he called and told me the sound was completely gone. I asked him what the problem was and his reply was that they jiggled some wires around in the trunk and that fixed it. That caused me to think that it probably didn't need the alternator, but I expected nothing more from this dealership and just took the car home. Just recently, I hit a deer in the Mustang and started having mechanical problems and was told by my insurance company that they required a diagnostic test to determine if it would be covered. That diagnostic test cost me $150. But in a previous review another customer said he was charged $97. So, use this service department with caution!

Although this is my first time rating them on-line, I have worked with Purvis Ford for many years. Out of all of my visits, I cannot remember a time that I was dissatisfied with their work or pricing. I have shopped around and their price almost always beats the area's repair shops. Plus, they will happily install parts that you have purchased elsewhere. Not too many shops will do that anymore. Those other shops want to make the profit off of the parts too!

Last year we bought 3 new cars from Purvis Ford. One month after purchasing my Focus, I was rearended. Purvis fixed my car and made it almost as good as new (it will never be as good as new). Since then we have taken our cars in for their service check ups, alignments, and other maintance. From the lady who answers the phone to the driver who will take you home, everyone has been wonderful. The staff is respectful and show good customer service. With my last service completed this week, Russ has let me know each step of the way what was going on and explained what was done when I picked up my car. I would highly recommend Joe S. if you are looking to purchase a new Ford from this dealer and I would recommend Russ as your service point of contact. Can't go wrong with these two gentleman.Thank you.

I took my Ford Ranger in for service at this dealership. I had an extended warranty that I bought from Ford that I thought would cover the repairs. Turns out the warranty only covers powertrain, etc. Service Advisor (SA) HAD to know that the issue I was having with my HVAC and Air Bag system in the truck was not covered, but he chose not to say anything before getting started. The SA told me there would be a $97 diagnostic charge to look at the vehicle. Note that he did not tell me that the $97 diagnostic charge would be for each issue.An hour later, after looking at the car, I get called back to speak to the SA. It was then that I found out I was out $194 for two diagnostic fees. I also found out that the mechanic had pushed a button on a diagnostic tool to rezero the weight sensor in the passenger seat (SA said, because "it told him to"), and there was another labor charge of $97 for that. If you are keeping score, that is $291 for one hour of work and no parts. I was then advised about the HVAC issue and the need for a $75 part and two more hours to fix.My bill reads that I was in the shop at 7:30, left at 10:00. I was charged for 5 hours of labor, and was able to complain enough to get $50 off the final bill. $536 for a $75 part and 2.5 hours of labor. $184 and hour to work on my truck, Double their advertised rate.I should have known. A few years ago I had my other truck towed there after it stalled out and would not start. The issue was the gas cut off under the passenger side of the dash. It is a 2 second fix to push the connecters back together - something I had to do every time someone inadvertently kicked it. Purvis price to fix? over $100. The only reason I went back was that I thought today's work would have been covered under warranty. Of course that fact was kept from me, or I wouldn't have even let them pull the truck into the garage. I know people who run other shops that wouldn't have gouged me.

I had to have my car repaired because Radley Chevrolet had not fixed my car properly and they had to have Purvis Ford commplete the repairs because they couldn't figure out the problem. Tony Simms took control of the situation and was understandable about my situation because he had to work with Geico and Radley. They fixed my car and didn't charge me. Tony Simms is the man to go to when you have these sticky situations.

Everyone who worked with us, the GM, salesman, & Finance Dept...all treated us with kindness, warmth & dignity. They answered all of my questions & took time to explain everything to me in a way in which I could understand. I would recommend Purvis Ford and their exceptional staff to anyone and everyone. Can't say enough good about working with Tony and Eric. My 97 F150 had an electrical problem preventing the electronic 4WD from operating. It was repaired, but when I tested it, it did not work. I took the truck back; Eric rechecked everything and pointed out how the new switch is in fact engaging the 4WD. Tony and Eric were patient and helpful all the way, Tony answered all my questions and was super helpful. I'd recommend these guys to anyone. Job well done to Tony and Eric!Scott Sizemore

I have been dealing with Purvis since 2002. I have purchase new/used and had all my repairs/service done here. Bill made me feel comfortable about my car service or repairs the first time I met him. He assured me my vehicles would be taken care of and they where/are. Price quotes are always on and reasonable. One of the better things is, when one of my vehicles are in for service and it coming up on a service due soon, I am contacted and advised of what it is, cost and how important it is.Trust, honest, friendly and good communication, explains the service dept.

I took my truck in to get worked on after speaking with the gentleman because it was making a knocking sound. After I get it back nothing was changed , it was still knocking, it came out worse. They checked it over again and insisted nothing was wrong with it but still decide to charge me $600.I took it to another dealership and what do you know, there was a bent rod or cracked or something. It works just fine now and runs like a champ.I am tired of this dealership taking money for not doing any work.NEVER AGAIN.They lost my business and hopefully everyone elses.

We've bought 3 Fords, 2 from Purvis. We have been taking our vehicles in for all the maintenance work, but we will not be doing that anymore! The service department is totally incompetent. First, our 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid has had the AC stop working twice. Twice we've brought it in for repair (once they kept it for almost a week even though we thought it was just for the day), and it's still not working. It works on the lowest setting (60 degrees) but as soon as you turn it up to the next temperature (65 degrees), heat comes out. Yes, HEAT. It's such an inconvenience for us to have to repeatedly leave our Hybrid with this dealer as we use it to commute to DC. Without the hybrid, we can't take the HOV lanes, and our 11 hour workday turns into a 14 hour workday. In addition, we have a 2008 F-150 that has issues that they have "fixed" numerous times. The passenger seat belt doesn't engage and the passenger air bag light stays on, indicating there is a problem. We've brought it in to be fixed and it works for a while, but eventually stops working again. I've never had so many problems with vehicles before. But then, I've owned Honda's before - go figure. I'll never buy Ford again and I'll definitely never use this dealership or service department again.

Dropped off the F150 for service. Service rep said it would be ready by the end of the day and that he would call when it was ready. He never called, so when I called very late that afternoon he told me they hadn't even looked at it ... said I wasn't a priority customer but I'd could leave it with them for a day or two and they'd "fit it in." I immediately went and picked up the vehicle and took it somewhere more reputable.
