Service Advisor Robert Carter is awesome! I will definitely recommend him to all of my friends and family members. Oil change is quick and easy. Outstanding service! Robert is super nice. He also helped me out with the wheel lock as well when I purchased the wheel lock here last time. Thank you Robert! You’re the best.

I went to see the Subaru ascent. I called them because they had the ascent that I wanted to look at. They said to come over and they show me the car. Made the appointment for the next day. When I got their they said they didn’t have it in the lot. They said that they have another car to show me. Then they brought me a used Toyota Highlander. Why would I get a used highlander for 40k. They didn’t even help me to get the car I wanted.

Had a great experience working with Tim. He’s a very nice guy, not at all pushy, very responsive. The supply side is slim right now so I don’t think I got the world’s best deal but he sweetened it by throwing in some free improvements, and I got a very low interest rate. Nice people, good cars.

Shout out to Nick for the amazing leasing experience! He's incredibly knowledgeable about all the cars in stock and really worked with me on a reasonable price. Nick went above and beyond when an issue arose a few weeks after I got the car home and I cannot recommend him enough! I think I'm a Quirk customer for life now. Also - shout out to Robbie and the rest of the service team. They never pressure you into any add-ons and are really helpful with the million questions I seem to have!

The man I saw here was a complete CROOK. I could have died because of this “business”. I paid $140 for a safety inspection on a car. He lied about what was wrong with it, and I doubt he even looked under the hood. I was quoted thousands of dollars of fake repairs the dealership wouldn’t even perform on my car, as they were trying to purchase it. MY BRAKE PADS WERE DEMOLISHED, WHICH WERE SUPPOSED TO BE CHECKED, AND GAVE OUT A FEW WEEKS LATER. I could have died. This guy said absolutely nothing about the brakes and refused to perform the repairs for the issues he quoted. His whole angle was to purchase my car and sell me one of his (more expensive) newer models. Absolutely disgusting service that put me in danger. They didn’t even look at my car. I am appalled. Bring your car somewhere else.

My husband and I went in just to look at and test drive as we were comparing several cars before making a decision. We worked with Greg Valentgas from the first time we went to the dealership and were up front about our plans making it clear that we were not purchasing a car that day. Greg was friendly, helpful and did not pressure us at all to make a purchase. He was easy to get a hold of on the phone when we had further questions and when we decided to move forward with purchasing our Outback he was great to work with to finalize the process. I highly recommend working with Greg if you are in the market for a new Subaru!

Quirk Ford sold me 4 vehicles sight unseen by working the deal out via phone, email, or both. I would just come in for the paperwork, and the price was always much less than "internet pricing" Quirk Subaru would only quote the exact same price that's on the website? What's the point of "clicking" for a special price if its the same? Anyway, I bought a Subaru from Patrick Subaru today with only 2 emails and a 15 minute conversation. Peoples time is much too valuable to walk in and not get what you want when you could have already determined that before stepping outside your door. Because of my long history with Quirk, I reached out to the saleswoman again and said I'm interested in a WRX STI and would like to still do business on another vehicle. The saleswomen replied to me email fairly quickly, and.....wait for it! The price was higher than the internet price! This is my first time writing a review that was negative. I think the salespeople should be trained to understand that just because you walk in the door or call, doesn't mean that the person is buying. You need to earn that sale and trust. Jim Altabello from Quirk Ford was great and if he is still there and I wanted to buy a Ford, I wouldn't even call anywhere else, because we would work it out.For the experience I have had with Quirk Subaru over the last few days, I can say that not only would I not purchase a Subaru from them, I would also deter any friends or family from purchasing at this dealership

People are not friendly here! I chose this dealership as I live in the neighborhood, but totally regret it now. The GM, George has absolutely no sense that he's talking rude. They made my car buying experience a nightmare. I do not recommend this place.

I plan to buy a Subaru Legacy and send out several price quotes to several MA Subaru dealers. Quirk Works Subaru's internet sales provide a very appealing price to lure me to the dealer place. Once I get there, they use all kinds of excuses (such as the discount coupon ran out..) to refuse to give me the price they sent to me. They persuade me to buy it at a higher price they offer on site. I suspect that Quirk Works Subaru's management quietly encourage their sales to do so in order to attract more customers. So never do business with this sneaky, unreliable dealer!

Be aware that the (discounted) Quirk price does not include the destination fee. Also, the discount is a combination of rebates that many buyers will not qualify for. Definitely read the disclaimer and call to confirm the price that YOU would be paying before coming, and write down the name of the person who answers your phone.Quirk has a good inventory. Their price is reasonable, although not as low as the displayed "Quirk price". The salesperson was good.

Absolutely STAY AWAY from this dealership! 1) They pulled my credit report although I have been assured several times that they wouldn't do so. I specifically requested this, in the presence of my wife, twice! And I was reassured twice! Two days later, I get a notification from the credit rating agency that there has been an inquiry by Quirk...2) The general manager (George Valentgas) himself admitted that his salesman - Mark, who quoted a monthly payment of "lower $400s" for the very same car that the general manager later tried to sell me for "$270/mo" was "new and was trying to make money"... At my expense!!!This is not a marginal mark up, it is 48%. Unethical...3) Today (one month after that pulled my credit report against my will), I get a letter from them telling that they "cannot provide credit to me" (for which I never applied)!!!They are incompetent. untrustworthy crooks. Stay away and SPREAD THE WORD. I certainly will.

Indeed, a curious "title". Allow me to share why. Please note that my purpose in sharing is to FOREWARN potential Quirk buyers of their DUBIOUS SALES TACTICS AND BLITHERING STUPIDITY, AND TO SIMPLY STAY AWAY FROM QUIRK (I will be thorough, it gets really funny, but as with math formula's I'm obligated to give YOU, the reader "proofs" before the fun!). Remember, the Subaru you purchase will always be just like thousands of others, yet the only "difference" in YOUR PERSONAL buying process will be the DEALERSHIP that is chosen.I contacted Quirk via clicking upon a specific WRX listed in inventory upon their website. Shortly thereafter I received a voicemail response from Tim "Hi THOMAS....", not a good start my name is D A V I D exactly as it was submitted in my inquiry. I called Tim back, and corrected him regarding my proper "given-name", he verbally apologized. However it was a very disjointed call and Tim sounded, and was very confused. I provided him my work email, and asked him the cost of a specific accessory. Tim assured me he would email me the requested information. Tim never emailed me. The following day I reached out to Quirk via the "Chat" feature on their website. My single question? "Can I please have TIM LONG'S direct number?" No luck. Whomever was on the Quirk side of the has been trained to "mine" for more information, thus the "auto generated" responses were "Let me check on that....", "Can I please get your name....", "Just a second while I find out, where do you live....", "What's a phone number somebody can call to give you....". I simply kept repeating "TIM LONG'S NUMBER PLEASE". Ultimately, since I wasn't responding to any questions due to my having already provided that information in my original inquiry (IN SALES, THESE ARE CALLED "PROSPECT TOUCHES"), the person on the Quirk side of the chat simply closed the chat window, poof!!! So, I called the general number and asked for "Tim Long". Upon Tim answering my call, I rapidly reviewed our conversation from the previous day. Again he was flustered, and he said "DERRICK, RIGHT?". I corrected him, D A V I D. Later that day, Tim sent me any email, however he never anwsered my accessory question. As the past, I was in contact with Tim via email in regards to price-price-price (REMEMBER IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU BUY, THE CAR WON'T BE ANY DIFFERENT, AND IT CAN BE SERVICED AT ANY SUBARU DEALERSHIP UNDER THE FULL WARRANTY). The Quirk pricing was competitive, however be forewarned---DEALERS LIKE TO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING/FREIGHT ($820) AND THEY NEVER PROVIDE THE DEALERSHIP FEE UNLESS ASKED ($299 AT QUIRK, VERY VERY VERY FAIR AND LOW PRICE). Since I was now simply "price shopping" my personal inbox (Tim never wrote to the work email I provided) was filled with offer's and counter offer's, and counter counter offer's. As the day drew to a close, Tim emailed me that "Thursday", the following day was his only day off, and he offered a colleague of his I could contact at Quirk. I responded in a very friendly fashion, assuring Tim---if my recall is correct---that no decision would be made on Thursday, and I only wanted to deal with him...due to him calling me THOMAS, DERRICK, NOT EMAILING ME, THE CHAT DISCONNECT...I figured that I had PERHAPS scraped the bottom with Tim & didn't want to engage with anybody else due to the name confusion...I was wrong about scraping the bottom at Quirk! I checked my personal email later that day (Wednesday), and I had an email titled "Informational Visit" from Kayla Jarett at Quirk that greeted me with the salutation "Hi THOMAS" (Kayla had already sent an email the PREVIOUS DAY that greeted me with "Hi THOMAS"). The email served two purposes for me. 1) I finally had enough of the given name errors--THOMAS, DERRICK, AND NOW THOMAS IN 2 EMAILS & 2) What and idiotic an dubious sales tactic that serves the sole purpose of getting you in the door because & I quote "It's a big purchase so it's always a good idea to get some education first." The email also instructed me to leave my checkbook at home (nothing mentioned about my credit cards), that buying a car is a "big purchase", and by coming to the showroom, Quirk had $500 catch vouchers that would increase my rebate by $500! I could dissect this moronic email, yet its simpler just to state, is it not condescending to assume a prospect has never bought a car and is clueless as to the process and needs to be "educated" by Quirk??? Why does Quirk send this "form" email? Because somebody at the Quirk Dealership possesses the ability to count to at 10...probably only one person named "Lou" (or THOMAS) that they keep out back to help all employees count, spell, and use the Interwebchattingemailnet! The true purpose is that "technology" sucks for car dealers, yet they will claim to embrace it. Why? Because US, YOU & ME...statistically only visit about 1.7 cars dealers before purchasing. That is way-way-way down from before "technology". So, if I visited Quirk to be "educated", the statistical probability of my buying from Quirk is fantastically increased in their favor, especially with a $500 inducement that probably has 1.7 million "asterisks" and "caveats" attached to it. Now, for the Quirk "teachable moment"...enough with calling me the wrong name!!! So I emailed Kayla & cc'd Thomas the following: "Kayla- As Tim long is now aware...he called me "Thomas" on his first voicemail, and then "Derrick" when we spoke. My name is DAVID. If Quirk can't get my name correctly...seriously...what should I have "time" for in regards to Quirk?-DAVID (Quirk alias "Thomas" & "Derrick") P.S. Tim, thanks for your time, I've opted to go elsewhere. Raise your pinky if you think Quirk's s interaction ought to have ceased upon receipt of my email? Unfortunately it did not! I got a call from Tim, and he was very apologetic and he offered me the lowest quote I had gotten thus far. However, KAYLA decided to send an ACCUSATORY email telling me it was all MY FAULT and that I had given my name in the initial contact as "THOMAS", and then continued her diatribe about how she would never deliberately call somebody by the wrong name "Who would?", and on-on that it was ALL MY FAULT (Albeit I give her credit for her "David," salutation), and concluded that they would send me a "screenshot" of my initial contact with Quirk. I demanded it, and ultimately it came in the form of a screenshot that could easily have been DELIBERATELY ALTERED (however, I will give Quirk the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't). The PROBLEM with the "screenshot"? The "Prospect Information" has Full Name as "THOMAS NP", MY email and MY phone number, with the CITY of LYNN MA, and a zip code of 01905. I live in LEXINGTON MA 02420. I responded to Kayla's ACCUSATORY email, in a very intelligent yet vicious manner...lines like "That was not a mistake on our end where we just don't know how to call people the right name" lines "You inquired and filled out information stating your name is Thomas" greatly agitated me. I WAS MY MISTAKE, I INQUIRED AND STATED MY NAME WAS "THOMAS" ETC-ETC-ETC. My response was super harsh...but no foul language...just pointing out that Kayla was a total idiot. The response from Quirk? George the General Manager courageously emailed me from the Quirk "general email"...yes George I'm calling you a coward (also for purposes of this "rating" and renaming you "Richard", lets shorten it to "DICK"). DICK sent me the following "David, My name is George (aka DICK), I am the General Manager, After reading the emails that you sent our department, there is no need for apology, you try to belittle and make fun of the employees that work here. We want to earn your business, your lead did come through as Thomas NP and We can show you that if you came down here to meet with us, there is absolutley no need for us to make that up. We are a large dealership and we give great prices. If you don't want to take advantage of that, that is one thing, but there is no need for those emails. If you need anything from here on out, you can contact me." DICK and I, briefly, exchanged "friendly" emails. Surprisingly he didn't believe that consistently mistaking my "given name" deserved an apology, nor did Kayla's hyper-aggressive email that basically called me a fool who deliberately provided misinformation on my initial contact warranted an "apology". DICK stated Quirk wanted to earn my business and invited me to "(come) down and meet with us" and he would show me the MY LEAD when I came down to meet. I simply responded that Quirk has a problem with the process by which they record "leads". At some point an actual HUMAN had enter the data into the database, and in my case, it was most probable that whomever did that CUT N' PASTED and accidently inputed my contact information with THOMAS NP's name and LYNN address. I don't recall a response from George in regards to Quirk's ineptitude. The bad news? I think that on delivery day, my "Quirk car" would have Idaho Tags, a New Mexico Title, Hawaiian Registration, and a Mississippi Inspection Sticker. The good news? I promise to service my brand new VW GTI at QUIRK SUBARU & request that Kayla perform all the maintenance and Tim and "quality assure it, and DICK can just be a dick. SAVE YOURSELF FRIENDS...IF YOUR BUYING A SUBARU BUY IT FROM PLATINUM/DIAMOND/5 STAR GENTLEMAN SUCH AS JACK HESSLER AT ATLANTIC SUBARU OR MICHAEL MASTERS AT BRATTLEBORO SUBARU. Sorry for the length. - Thomas. Wait, wait, wait...I've forgotten my NAME!!! Can somebody help me find my home in LYNN?? I think the zip code is 019???

I ordered some parts for my Subaru and when I got them, they were used. The parts department was very combative and showed poor customer service. It is the first Subaru dealership that I have patronized where the service was lack luster. Every other dealership I have visited have given me the time of day and treated me like they enjoyed my money.

Had a great experience at Quirk Subaru This is the second Subaru from Quirk after checking with other local dealers. Dealing with Mach Kim was a pleasure. After searching for vehicle with the equipment I realy wanted I found it at Quirk in a 2017 Outback. Mach was very knowledgable about his product.John Barry

I'm seeing a theme from lots of other online reviewers. Wish I had taken the time to read them before heading over. Very nice exchange via phone & email. Found the car I wanted, called to confirm it was on the lot so I could drive it and move forward. Got there, no car. But, miraculously, they have all these OTHER cars for you to look at. Kristie Mahan - the internet lead/biz dev person - flat out lied to me. No risk of ethics or moral high-ground at Quirk. There are plenty of other Subaru dealers around - do yourself a favor and work with one of them.

My experience there was exactly why many people hate going to car dealerships. The people that I met there were friendly but they were very pushy and aggressive to the point that it was uncomfortable. I had an appointment set up with Tim Long to look at a particular car. When I arrived someone else, Jonathan Theodat, came out to my car as I was getting out. I told him that I had an appointment with Tim, he said that he would let Tim know and in the mean time he would help me to get started. Jonathan, although he was very nice, was quite pushy in trying to make a sale. He asked several times if I would make a purchase that day, even though I told him from the beginning that I was gathering information and pricing and would return in 2 days with my husband if the price was right. He and his boss told me that the price they were offering would only be good that day and kept trying to push me into the sale. They even said that I could call my husband and that's what cell phones are for. I again told them that he was unavailable and that I would not be signing any papers that day. They told me many times about how they sell a lot of cars and are a volume dealership, I'm guessing that was an attempt to make me think their prices were lower. That day I visited 2 other dealerships that were much more welcoming and less aggressive and they also offered better prices from the start. I was there for about an hour and a half, no one ever got Tim for me, so I didn't even meet the person I had an appointment with, and they also did not have the car available that I was told was there.I sent Jonathan an email that evening telling him why I did not call to accept their offer and to provide feedback to him about their sales approach. I wanted to let him know that it made me feel uncomfortable and that because of the way they treated me and the transparency of just wanting to get another sale I would not do business with them. I wanted to provide feedback to help him for the future so she would be aware of how his approach affects the customer and to let him know that he is losing sales because of it. I did not hear back by email. 3 days later I received a phone call from Jonathan asking if I already made a car purchase. I was in the midst of making a deal at another dealership. He offered to beat the price by $300. I declined, saying that although I appreciated the offer, I was not comfortable with the way they treated me from the beginning. I asked if he got my email and he said that he hadn't checked his email in several days, so I shared with him the same information and feedback over the phone. Instead of apologizing for and gracefully accepting the feedback, he said to me that it's not a big deal that he didn't get the sale. He said that the car business has been the same for over 20 years and people still have to buy cars and they will still make their sales. He said that they didn't even give me the "hard push" and that it was an easy push and even though I wasn't going to buy my car there that losing that sale is not something they would cry over. I told him that the other dealerships were more respectful and provided better prices from the outset. I was very clear in that I was trying to help him learn from this interaction for the future; however, he was not interested, was very defensive, and made it clear that he would not be changing his approach. Additionally in making my appointment to visit Quirk, I spoke with a woman on the phone who made the appointment for me the day before I visited. She then called me that morning to confirm that I would be coming. When I arrived, I met her in person, and she asked if my husband was coming, to which I told her that he was not and never planned to go that day. About an hour or so after I left the dealership I received another phone call from the same woman asking if I was planning to go over there. I told her that I had just been there and met her in person. She again asked me if my husband was supposed to be going over there too. ... It was all very strange and clear that they don't really care about customer service. They are more interested in getting people in the door and trying to sell to them immediately rather than listening to the customer.I would strongly discourage anyone from going to Quirk Subaru in Braintree for any purchase, based on my interactions there. Even in providing feedback to them, they were not interested. This is why I am submitting this review. I typically do not write reviews but I believe that other people should know this before they go so they can avoid it all together and have a better experience at another business.

Horrible dealership! They have no morals. They will quote you one price via email then when you arrive they'll throw in that you'll have to pay a $900 destination fee (when the car is already at their dealership). They'll try and kick you out too if you attempt to approach their manager desk (wow, such important people!) and treat you like crap overall. The manager with glasses is particularly heinous.. It's such a mans club mentality in there, so you should especially stay away if you are a female! Not cool at all... they lost my potential business and hopefully many others! STAY FAR AWAY!!!

Hey everyone. I was at Subaru yesterday and had a really great experience! I'm a single girl and don't love the process of car buying from dealers but this one treated me very respectfully and didn't pressure me into anything I didn't want to do. I worked with Ryan M. who was awesome and great to be paired up with. He's very nice helpful and I would definitely recommend him and this dealership to anyone in the car buying business! Thanks :)

Quirk Subaru Braintree. Stereotypical bad car dealership. The ploy was very simple: they gave (by e-mail thanks, Tim) a very low price for the Outback with the packages I wanted, and we came to look. In the few hours it took me to get there all cars in these configuration were miraculously sold (though next day still present in the inventory). So, the quoted price was no longer relevant, and they started to sell hard the more expensive version for a lot of money, way above reasonable pricing. They also low-balled our car (Kelley blue book - $ 5000, they offered $1000). The manager John Stevens ( if this is his real name), told us that waiting for the configuration we really wanted is not possible; ordering the car not possible; the price quoted in writing was only in relation to the vehicle which was sold, and cant be applied to any other similar vehicle. So lying, cheating, stereotypical bad car dealers. Do yourself a favor avoid Quirk at all costs.

I came in to Quirk in Braintree to check out an Impreza I had seen on line and... I bought it. Wow. Everyone was extremely helpful, they listened to me and answered all my questions--and George gave me a great price. The whole process was pretty easy, and I am a satisfied customer.

My wife and I recently bought a car from Quirk Auto in Braintree and we are very pleased with the result. We had been searching for a couple of weeks and had narrowed down what we were looking but we were hoping that we could buy a car in the neighborhood instead of venturing out to the maze of auto dealerships on the auto mile. When we came into Quirk, the sales person Jarrod Pomare, started off spending a good amount of time asking questions in a relaxed manner to find out what we were looking for. My wife and I had both done a lot of online research and Jarrod filled in additional information which an internet search often leaves out. It was only after Jarrod had a clear sense of what we wanted, did he present to us a couple of cars and ask us to take the cars for a test drive. Jarrod also gave my wife and I time alone after each drive to talk over our impressions. I am happy to say that we bought our car from Quirk and were able to do so by staying in the neighborhood.

First off the place is a complete dump. The paint is peeling and is unsuitable for any to breathe in. The salesmanager, chris colins, insulted my wife, Alice, and used extremely high pressure sales tactics to try and stuff us into a vehicle we truly couldn't afford. When we said no, they literally would not allow us to leave while they said insulting things, and tried to force us to buy. My wife cried as we finally convinced them we'd come back the next day. I WILL NEVER RETURN THEIR AGAIN!

Tom Sforza was very patient with us. We're not the easiest people in the world to deal with. But we liked his style and in the end, it was a great experience of wheelin' and dealin'. There was a second gentleman who helped us out later during the paperwork process; we regretfully forget his name but he too was patient, funny, and helpful.

I visited the dealership in Braintree looking for information on a new Subaru. Immediately I was approached in the parking lot by a salesperson. I wasn't able to research the sticker price of the vehicle like I had planned to. I ended up in the showroom sitting at a desk. The salesperson wrote down a figure of $410/month. After I said that was a ridiculous price, he left and came back with another sales person/sales manager. I was then told $347 a month including tax. I asked why he said $410 a month at first, His reply "You would have tried to talk me down anyway". The lease on the car they showed me shouldn't have been mpre than $290 a month which I found at a couple other dealerships. Also they want to give you no equity for your trade in. They will make some excuse why they think it has no equity. I would only visit this dealership if you want to overpay dearly for a new car. The sales people here are like vultures.

I was price shopping for a 2016 Subaru and received my lowest quote from Quirk Works Subaru. I asked another dealership if they could match the quote, and they asked me to ensure that my quote included everything. I asked my representative if there were any additional fees, and he stopped responding to my emails. This was a negative interaction, and not a respectful use of my time. There are several reviews that say the same thing, but I would ask anyone considering this location to make sure their online quote matches in reality before making the trip to Braintree.

I had previously brought my 2013 BRZ to Quirk several times and had great experiences - like a lot of us here I'm a car enthusiast so I pay a lot of attention to required maintenance, and again like a lot of us here I really appreciate when a shop does everything you ask and nothing you don't, every time. That used to be the case at Quirk, but now unfortunately it isn't.On my latest visit to Quirk I met with Eric Deblois (who replaced Craig Berard), and since we hadn't previously met we talked for a few minutes about how I occasionally autocross and drift my BRZ, I have a couple of different sets of wheels and tires, I'm not at all gentle with the car, etc., and that I wanted the oil and filter changed, the trans and diff fluid checked, and the TPMS on my summer tires calibrated. He tried to talk me out of the trans and diff fluid check despite that being in the manual as regular maintenance and despite my hard use of the car, and also tried to talk me into a wheel alignment ("you should have it done every time you change wheels") despite the fact that I swap wheels sometimes a couple of times a weekend. A few more minutes of discussion cleared up what I wanted done, and he sent me to the waiting room.In typical Quirk fashion I was told I'd need to wait an hour but it was only about 40 minutes, which is awesome!Unfortunately when I got the car back I noticed the TPMS light was still on, and went back inside to ask Eric about it. He apologized and said he must have "forgotten to tell the guys" to do it, and he'd get them right on it. He made it sound like it would just be a minute so I didn't even go sit back down, although I should have since it took almost another 30 minutes before someone else came out to tell me that the only way they would be able to calibrate my TPMS would be to take the tires off the wheels to get at the sensors. I'm not familiar with what equipment Quirk has (and neither is Eric, apparently), but that's certainly the first I've heard of that requirement. I declined and thought I'd be on my way, but they told me they had taken the liberty of adjusting my tire pressures for me while they were at it. I had not requested this and of course I had to stop at the first gas station I passed on the way home to put the tires back to the pressures I had them at originally.I got an email from the dealer asking me to call if I had any feedback, so I did. I spoke to Alex there and while she was very nice and very patient, there didn't seem to be anything she could do to help or to assure me anything would be different next time I came in.It's unfortunate that going to Quirk had been a consistently-excellent experience and that no longer seems to be the case.

We've had a lot of cars overs the years, but buying our 2014 Forester was far & beyond the most professional, smoothest and quickest of all. Our salesman, Jarrod Pamore is a true gentleman who knows Subaru's inside & out. He worked with us to assure we obtained the BEST deal and personally put us at ease re; all the paperwork and RMV process. HE"S THE MAN TO SEE IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING A SUBARU! We drove it home the same day. We've had many inquires about our Forester and everyone loves the color combination (red /tan interior). It's a great highway car with great visibility, terrific ride and very quiet. The service dept. is excellent - the few times we've needed their assistance. BUY IT --- YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Quirk Subaru, and specifically our sales guy Lenny, made the car buying experience quick and painless. Lenny saw that we had two squirming toddlers in tow, he promised us upfront that he would put us in the car we were looking for at a price we could afford and get us in and out quickly he delivered on his promise. Lenny was genuinely nice and good to work with. We left a different subaru dealership b/c the salesman apparently thought snarky and rude were character traits that would help seal a deal- we found none of that at Quirk. We will return to work with Lenny when we need to buy a car again.

I was in this week to begin my search for a new car. This was my first visit to a Subaru dealership and I was more interested to look at them and take a test drive. I was approached by a young aggressive guy who was extremely pushy and rude. This is the kind of place that gives dealerships bad names. He immediately told us to sit down and wait. I told him that I simply wanted to look inside and test drive one of the cars. He said he would let me if there is a possibility that i would buy today - I told him no and that I just started my search. He became agitated and went back and forth between me and his manager and finally said "go out on the lot and look for a car you like then come back and let me know" - I told him that he was being a bit over the top and he said that he is told to constantly "ask for the deal" by his management. Unless a customer commits they will not give a test drive. I told him that because of asking for the deal - he lost the deal. BTW - I purchased a Subaru the very next day at Planet Subaru and had a wonderful experience.... these guys are out of control. Subaru should send a secret shopper in to see how their products are being sold - they would crumble if they knew what this place is doing with their brand.

Their service department has been great. very little wait time. Chris Collins the GM made sure he came over and sat with us and made us feel like family, he was great. He thanked us for the business. Most importantly they blew away the competitions price!! We would absolutely recommend this dealership 100%

This is the sleaziest dealer I have ever had to deal with. Even sleazier than when Earnhardt Dodge in Phoenix shut their gate on me to prevent me from leaving the premises and I had to threaten to call the police. I emailed Quirk Works that morning asking if they still had a vehicle on the lot that I was looking for that was on special. I was assured it was still there plus in several other colors too. We arrived later that afternoon to look at the vehicle. I was than told that vehicle had been sold, I said that was okay. There was a red one I liked too but the salesman "happen" to find another Dark Grey Forester but telling me it was a different model and more expensive which I thought was odd since it was the base model. We took a drive and I decided to lease it. I told them that I wanted the special lease offer. Well, they came back with a ridicules offer $4000 down and $350 month. I was like that was not the special that is advertised. So, while he goes back to get the sales manager I become suspicious and go check the vehicle to find out it's the same VIN as the one in the ad on their own website page. The sales manager now comes back with Sales Representative and I try to tell him that is not the special they just offered me and that the car that they showed me is the one from the ad as well. I had the ad and the special lease deal in PDF format on my phone. The lease offer was from the Subaru manufacturer. The General Manager is playing ignorant as if he has never heard or seen the offer when he told us he was one that makes the advertisements for their own Quirk Works' website. They list the ad with a hyperlink to the Subaru Manufactures website on their own website. He now starts to question us asking if it's really a legitimate ad asking to read the ad on my phone. I am like shocked now. You aren't going to honor the manufacture's special that you even listed on your website with a hyperlink to the manufacture's website. I let him read it on my phone and he is acting shocked like it was the first time he heard of it saying what a great deal. I was like check out your own website and the manufacture's website yourself at Subaru.com. Finally, he finishes reading the lease offer than offers us the deal like we were special customers. He than admits later that the first deal was a Quirk Lease which is much higher than the manufactures. That he intentionally misleads customers with his ads. I was done with this company and started to walk away. In the end, they did finally honor the Subaru manufacture's special of $1949 down and $249 a month for the SAME VEHICLE. I couldn't even shake their hands after the deal was done. I just got into the car and got off their xxxx lot as fast I could to NEVER EVER return again. When I go to turn it back it in at the end of the lease I will take it to another dealer. One that doesn't play ignorant about their own manufacture's deals unless you can show it in writing though it's posted on their OWN WEBSITE!!!!!!! THEY ARE A SUBARU DEALER!!!!!

I was looking for a new Subaru CrossTrek for my wife. We had a trade, but was upside down on it. Three other dealerships were a complete grind. I had spent hours at each. I decided to visit Quirk because an acquaintance had very good luck with them. When I arrived the salesperson, Hoeun, was friendly, courteous, and most of all knowledgeable. He LISTENED to what I said I was looking for and produced it quickly. Wilfredo made the numbers come out the way I needed and from start to finish I spent an easy 45 minutes at the dealer. When I came back to pick the vehicle up, Hoeun spent over 40 minutes explaining each of the features of the vehicle. He stopped and went over anything I wasn't clear on. Tremendous patience. Overall I would absolutely recommend this dealership. In fact I already have.

Least stressful car dealership experience ever. I chose Quirk Subaru Quincy after seeing their ad in the Sunday Globe, having the best price for the vehicle I wanted. I had done my homework and knew exactly which car I was interested in and how much money I could afford. I ended up with exactly what I wanted at a fair price. I never felt pressured into anything, nor rushed to make my decision. As a matter of fact the person who dealt with the actual pricing/payment issues was very fair and honest about the bottom line and was able to give me what I needed to make the transaction happen. I would like to give a shout out to Hoeun Nuon, who still checks in with me to make sure everything is good. Would recommend Quirk Subaru Quincy in a heart beat.Thanks. Love my car. Toni Klein

I recently purchased a Subaru Crosstrek from Quirk Subaru, Braintree, MA. Thom Sforza is the sales rep I had the pleasure of working with. Tom's level of knowledge and his customer service is excellent! Purchasing this vehicle was seamless! I highly recommend this Dealership for those of you interested in purchasing a Subaru! The Crosstrek handles amazingly in the snow!!! So happy I chose a Subaru! Also, Thomas has checked in with me 3 times over the course of 2 months to make sure I am satisfied and to answer anyany questions that came up as a new Subaru owner!

I purchased a car back in July of this year from this dealership and recently had to bring the car in for service. I can't say enough about Craig Berard the Assistant Service Manager who I dealt with. There turned out to be number of issues and Craig went far and beyond what I would have expected. I was hesitant like a number of people to brink my car into the dealership for repairs wondering whether I would be better off taking my car to a repair shop closer to home. Craig provided me with a ride to the MBTA station in Quincy along with picking me up at the end of the day. I never missed any time off from work and my car was ready for me at the end of the day. I was more than pleased with the results. Craig proved to me that going to Quirk was the best decision I could have made. They stand behind the vehicles they sell and everyone from the moment I walked in to the young man who drove me to the T station were kind and professional. Craig is the best and I would not hesitate to bring my car back to Quirk Works Subaru in Braintree.

Searching for my new vehicle, I visited 5 different dealerships - 2 for used cars, 3 for new car sales (not to mention the countless dealership websites I researched for over 3 weeks). Just as I had begun to lose hope, with expectations adjusted to bare minimum, I decided to visit one final dealership - Quirk Works Subaru. What I found at Quirk Works Subaru was beyond impressive. Upon arrival, despite the snowfall and freezing temperature, Lenny Wallace came outside to greet my entire party with a firm hand-shake and a smile. It being my first time buying a brand new car, Mr. Wallace exercised patience while still demonstrating efficiency, providing detailed answers to each of my questions as we took each car for a spin. Once I'd chosen the car I wanted, Lenny and the GM thoroughly explained the financial process, covering a breakdown of payments and an offer for my trade-in that was more than fair. It seemed as quickly as I sat down with Mr. Wallace and had my needs assessed, I was test driving vehicles and going home with my new vehicle - the entire process, from start to finish, was seamless. From the impeccable salesmanship to the presentation and wide selection of inventory, Quirk Works Subaru was, hands-down, the most professional and well equipped dealership to handle my needs.

I stopped in for what I thought was a quick tire pressure check on New Year's Eve day. The service team couldn't have been more helpful as Kenney brought my car right back with no waiting to get an appointment and within 5 minutes he informed me I had a nail in one of my tires. Since this was a company car, my company wanted all 4 tires replaced which meant this was going to take longer than expected. Tony ensured me that I could be on my way as they could give me a ride home and even pick me up once the work was done. Being a busy single mom, multi-tasking is important and the Service Team at Quirk Subaru ensured I could do just that : )The service team was extremely busy that day but they had the work done on my car in less than 2 hours. Impressive!

I was looking for a place to bring my first Subaru for its first service. Searching on Dealer Rater, the top result for Massachusetts was Quirk Works Subaru. I was on a tight schedule, but they were able to take my car in on less than 24 hours notice for its 15,000 mile service. On the phone, Chris Collins let me know the service would likely take an hour to an hour and a half to complete, so when I dropped the car off with Craig Berard I made myself comfortable in Quirk's lounge area. Less than an hour later the service was done and I was back in the car.I appreciate the team at Quirk Works taking my car in on New Year's Eve, their work seems like it was done as well as it was done quickly, and the price was what I expected. I would definitely recommend Quirk Works Subaru to anyone in Eastern Mass looking for a place to take their Subaru for service.

I recently visited Quirk Subaru with my father to buy a car. He thought I should test drive the Forester as my brother has one. We met with Chris Collins, the manager. I was interested in one with Eyesight which has all of the new safety features. Anyway I drove it but it was a lot bigger than my brothers and I was currently driving a Honda Civic. I decided it was too big for what I needed. Then I drove the Impreza sedan, a rather plain car, like my Honda but easier to maneuver than the Forester. Then Chris came out and said he had a white Impreza hatchback that had Eyesight. In fact it had every option you could get. They took it out of the showroom and we went for a ride. I loved it including the navigation and XM Sirius radio. Plenty of room in the trunk because it is a hatchback. I am very happy with my new car and the service from Chris and his sales associates.

I stopped into Quirk and spoke with Tony who could not have been more accommodating. I went during lunch, as the tire light went on as I was driving to work. Tony had a technician look at my car right away, put air in the tires and reset the light. There was no charge. When I asked what I should do in the future, Tony recommended stopping by so they could ensure there was nothing wrong with the tires. I was in and out in no time, and felt like I was given the red carpet treatment.

I worked with Jonathan Theodat to lease my 2015 Legacy and it was very pleasurable. He was smart, caring, honest, and really made my experience at Quirk enjoyable. Upon arriving he met me outside we got right to business. I knew what I wanted so we took the legacy for a quick test drive then got down to business. Of course there was negotiations but they weren't hard to deal with.....just common negotiations that occur in every profitable business. After meeting with him and his manager (I forget the name) we came down to the exact price I was looking for. Picked up the car two days later and I've loved it ever since. I'll definitely go back to Quirk if Jonathan is there in 3 years.

A few weeks ago I bought a new 2015 Outback 3.6R with the sunroof package (navigation, etc.) and the EyeSight system from the Quirk Works Subaru in Braintree. First, this is still a rare configuration of this vehicle and there were only a few available in stock in the entire New England. Many dealers listed them, but upon further inquiry, they were available only to order and were not in stock. I contacted them and got a very good offer that I agreed on. The communication was quick and to the point, very professional. When I came to the dealership, there were no surprises: the car was in stock indeed, they didn't back down from the offer and there were no other surprises of any kind. As soon as I managed the payment, the car was prepared and released to me extremely quickly, almost no wait at all. Everybody from the staff I interacted with (PJ was the salesman, I don't remember other names) was quick, polite, and professional. A very positive experience, not a trivial thing when buying a new car.

We arrived in the lot full of Subaru models all over the place and we were knowledgeable about the model and color we wanted. (Our daughter had just purchased one).Jonathan was there to show us how to tell at a quick glance on the various model differences. We chose a white one with basic equipment because we don't put much mileage on the car.....just an errands car. They didn't have one on hand and we said we would wait until they got it.In a few days, they had it and it was painless to close the deal. We received a good trade price and the car transfer was easy. Jonathan Theodat and Khamorn Dam were very respectable and did what they said they would do.We even got to keep our low number, Massachusetts plates on a lease. Thanks Quirk!

I was looking to buy a used Subaru Wrx. I saw an online listing for a silver 2011 wrx hatch I was quoted a solid price over the phone and internet. I came to look at the car and go for a test drive which was not a problem. We agreed upon a price and I filled out all the paperwork. I could not leave with the car as my co-signer had to fill out her share of the paperwork. My co-signer faxed her information to the dealer the next day and I was ready to come pick up my car. I than get a call from my "sales manger" Cameron, by the way there all "sales managers" over there. Cameron informs me that he does not have a hold of the title and that it will take 3-4 weeks to get the title in hand. I decide to wait the 4 weeks as the deal I was getting was a good one. On the 4th week I call and ask if my title is ready and If I can come pick up my vehicle. Let me remind you that this is MA and dealer plates are not an option so I was out a vehicle for transportation. Cameron than tells me that its going to take about 6 weeks for them to get the title. I tell him that he needs to call me after his day off with a clear definitive update on where the title is and an idea on how far into this process we are. He fails to call me the next day to update me, also throughout my original 4 week waiting period I did not get one call or update from Cameron to let me know how the process was going talk about terrible customer service. I call him again the next day and he tells me that he was "busy" and that's why he didn't call, he than informs me that it is going to take another 4 weeks to get the title. This is when I decide to take my deposit off the car and move on. Bottom line this dealership tried to sell me a car they do not have the title to therefore they are not in legal possession of the vehicle and cannot offer it for sale. Here's the kicker that same WRX is now re listed on their site and other online car advertisement websites and they still do not have the title to the vehicle as it has only been a week since I took my deposit off. Do not buy that WRX and please save yourself the time and stay away from this dealership. Never have a seen such dishonesty and shadynes from a dealership.

I will never go to this dealer again. Terrible BS sales tactics. I called at 8pm on Thursday to confirm that four cars they had listed on their website -- which I had heard were not on anyone's lot in the greater Boston area at that time -- were actually there. The online salesperson, Tom Cooper, confirmed they were. My wife and I both took time off from work on Friday. Called before leaving home to make sure all was ok, then drove 45 min to the lot... and was told they did not have any cars in that model/trim. Total lies just get us on the lot. We walked out, and I saw when I arrived back at home that the cars were still listed on their site. Tried to call Tom to let him know how furious I was, but for the first time in two days, the call went through to voicemail. I would NEVER do business with people who use these tactics.

this is my second review because i first wanted to praise my salesman jarod pomare. i don't know how he new the right car for me before i did. it was all downhill after that management said no need to have your machanic check it out the car is perfect. the car is four years old, i assumed they would deliver it in good shape. yes it has a good engine and will probably be dependable.my mechanic put it on the lift the front brake pads are paper thin. i'll need them very soon. two tires are bald and a back one has a screw in it the two filters were filthy the oil not changed. and the battery is old.and very little gas (they all do that) the car wouldn't start when i came out of walmart. may be something was on i just drove it the way they left it. the mechanic said i would get a new battery. but they charged that one while i waited an hour. the manager said it was fine.when i complained about everything they said their only obligation to me was that the car pass inspection. (that's they're inspection) i would recomend them if you are smarter than me . on the test drive have your machanic check the car before you purchase it

I had very bad experience with this dealer. Sales person quoted me a price over the phone, it has being confirmed many times with the model and features in details and clearly agreed with the price. The sales person asked me to go there to do the paper work. So, I decided to take the deal. Sales person told me that he will be in 8:30 AM, the dealership will not be open until 9:00AM. I called the sales person at 8:40AM to final confirmed before I went to. But when I got there, they had different person to meet me and try to sale me a totally different deal. I said I am all set with the deal, please have that sales person to talk with me. That sales person come out, I mentioned whole deal he agreed upon, he had nothing to say, but other person took control to say: there is no way to sale the car at this price, then put all his effort to push into totally different deal. The simple questions is if they can not honor the price, why the sales person quoted it?! This is very bad sales trick: quote you a price they will never want to honor it but just get you in and then try to sale you something different. They waste customer's time, they lost customer's trust; they lost their reputation.

I called Quirk to check on their asking price for the car I was interested in buying, a Subaru Forester.Their price was competitive. I explained that I had a good offer from a dealer near my home, but was comparison shopping what each dealer would give me in trade for my old car. They said I should come on down so that they could look at my car -- which was perfectly reasonable. I drove down.HOWEVER, once I got there, the pressure began. Two salesman at once, low-balling me by over $1,500 on my trade-in car, running down the model year as likely to have transmission trouble (which it doesn't), and asking, "What would it take to make you happy?" I explained that I was looking for a bottom line (sale price for new car minus trade-in value) that would be SIGNIFICANTLY better than the offer that I already had, which was from my neighborhood dealer. I told them what that offer was. They made an offer that would have cost me $1,600 more. Since they couldn't improve on my other offer, I said a polite and sincere thank you, and headed off to close the deal with the other dealer. These guys waited until I was about to drive off, then appeared at my care window, acting sleazy and desperate, and stopped me from leaving three times. They kept making small improvements on their offer, and acting like I was being unreasonable. I kept saying NO, thank you, I am not trying to pressure you, I'm not trying to get you to make a better offer, you told me what your best offer was and it's not close to the other dealer. I would try to leave and they kept talking and taking turns running back inside to "check". Since it was getting late and I wanted to finish the deal with the other dealer, I felt trapped. I didn't want to be rude by driving away while they were still talking, but I was feeling harassed and getting uncomfortable with their routine. Finally on their fourth offer, they matched the other dealer's offer, by which time I really didn't like or trust them, and just wanted to get the heck out of there. When I said "thank you, I'm just going to go work with the other dealer..." and started to actually drive off, one of them said, "We'll come down another $100 dollars!" and one of them yelled at me, "Well, thanks for wasting our time!!" in a nasty, angry voice.Sheesh. Sounds like "Esther15's" experience. Do NOT go to Quirk!!

Prior to visiting Quirk Subaru in Braintree, I had never purchased a car, nor had I fully experienced what it was like to go through the new car buying process. After a few unpleasant encounters at other dealerships, I had almost given up and convinced myself to rent a car for the rest of my life.... Then I met our salesman Pj F. who completely altered my car buying experience. He was very understanding of my needs and concerns and focused his time on covering the important details that were relevant to my ability to purchase. Pj F. went above and beyond to find the perfect car for me. Pj F. and the financial staffed who worked with me, were very personable and very reassuring throughout the lengthy car buying process. I would absolutely recommend that everyone talk to Pj F. for your car buying decisions as I am confident you will receive nothing less than the superb service that I received. Quirk Subaru in Braintree will be my first recommendation to friends and my first stop for my 2nd car buying experience!

I was upfront in that I was gathering information wanted to test drive the Forrester, Outback, & Crosstrek & to be educated further on what leasing entails versus buying. I was bounced to 3 different salespeople within 10 minutes of being there. No one seemed to want to help me. The salesman I ended up with took me out to test drive the Forrester & stared out the window the entire time. No specs explained- not a word-so awkward! When we finished test drive he asked if I was ready to make an offer on the Forrester to which I said no because I had yet to test drive the Outback & Crosstrek & learn more about the leasing options. He had his manager go look at my current car for trade value. The manager came in, grabbed my shoulder & said I know you cant be the 1st owner of this car because its older than you are. I do look younger than I am. The manger then sat down with the salesman & again asked what it would take to sell me Forrester. When I again stated that I wanted to see other Subarus, the manager told me that I was wasting their time because the Forrester was all I could afford. What?! No one ever asked for my income or credit score (which are both excellent). When I said I was not going to buy the Forrester without seeing the other Subarus first the manager yelled at me for wasting their time & stormed off!! I couldn't believe it! He actually threw a tantrum & stormed away like a crazy person! Shame on you Quirk Subaru! I looked at several cars, but had pretty much decided I didn't want another SUV. We drove three or four cars and he helped me decide to get a Sedan with all the electric stuff I wanted. My only problem is the Subaru is quite a but lower than my SUV. However, I will try to get used to it. Both PJ and the sales manager, Chris Collins were very good to work with. They knew there stuff. We went to this dealership looking for a car. The young salesman was nice, but he brought his sales manager in who kept reminding us that if we walk off the lot, the chance of our coming back was .03%. He gave us a quote of $23,000 plus our 1996 Buick as trade-in for the Jasmine Subaru Premium. We told him we had to go home and think about. We called back and said we were interested. Jonathan (the young salesman) told us he would contact us when the car came in. On subsequent calls to him, Jonathan never got back to us, and when he finally did, he reinforced that he would call us when the car came in. After several unanswered calls, we contacted them via the main number and got through to a Tim. He said they were unavailable and asked if he could help us. We explained the situation. He excused himself for a minute to check with his boss. He came back on the phone and told us that the price would be honored and he would in fact call us when the Jasmine came in. Tim called us on Friday and told us they would be in on Monday or Tuesday. On Saturday morning, Jonathan called us to tell us that the Jasmine was sold, so call back at the end of the month. We informed him that we had just been promised the car by someone else there. We called Tim back and told him about the call from Jonathan. Tim assured us he had one for us. Time called back about an hour later and said that the car, one of 3 Jasmine green Foresters had arrived and was ready to go. I asked if we could come down within the hour and do the transactions and he said yes. When we got there, we were approached by another young salesman named George who brought us in and introduced us to Tim. Tim immediately left us in George's hands. When we sat down and explained that we had made arrangements with Tim to get the car for $23,000, George immediately excused himself and went to the general manager. He sheepishly came back and told us that the Jasmine had just been sold! We asked him about the other 2. He said another one had just been sold also. He would not answer us about the 3rd one. At this point I was quite angry that they had brought us down there under false pretenses. I told George that I wanted to see Tim. He told us that Tim was too busy to see us. I then said I wanted to speak to the general manager. When I approached him, he rudely informed me that the car had been sold. He would not let me speak to Tim either. I have never experienced such unethical, underhanded, and dishonest practices in my 63 years!

Beware of the promises this dealer will make to lure you to come in to their store! You can check and double check the price they quote over the phone, what exactly it includes and excludes. But then prepare to be surprised when you actually go -- the person who you spoke to will welcome you and then disappear, and the salesman assigned to you will go over the price they are prepared to sell you, which is of course considerably above what was promised over the phone. And the person you spoke to over the phone will not appear to talk to you to explain the discrepancy. This is what I recently experienced. I had double checked on the phone that the price they were quoting excluded only the sales and registration taxes. That means it included the destination charges, and when I asked the business manager to confirm this, he said yes. He said he would do whatever it would take to get my business. What he meant is whatever it would take me to get into the store. When I did this, and spent an entire afternoon going for a test drive, all kinds of chit-chat about the car with the salesman, and then to the final negotiations: the price now was nearly eight hundred dollars over what I had been quoted on the phone. Because the destination charges have to be included! The salesman went and checked twice with his managers, but they could not honor what I had been promised over the phone.I subsequently checked other dealers in the Boston area, who don't play these games --- the price they quote is exactly what they actually offer. So I bought the car I wanted from another dealer who played straight all the way through. I had just wasted a lot of my time with Quirk Subaru. Hope you don't have to.

I Went to Quirk Subaru in Braintree today because I saw on line that they had the best prices for new Subaru Crosstrek. I was greeted by a salesman named PJ Maginnis. He was very nice and very knowledgeable about the car I wanted. He took me for a test drive and told me all about the options it had. After the test drive it took only 5 minutes to make a deal and within 30 minutes of my arrival I was leaving in my new car. I'm very happy I went to Quirk because their price was much lower than every Subaru dealer I went to. PJ was great to work with. I highly recommend Quirk Sybsru and especially PJ Maginnis

For buying a car, sales rep is the most important factor in my opinion. Sean helped me and my partner to get our very first Subaru, and the whole process is easy and smooth. We went through all the paper works including financing documents within an hour. We are going to pick up our car this Saturday and cant wait for that. We will definitely recommend our friends to get their Subaru through Sean in the future.

Emailed Owen Dunn for a quote with a specific VIN. Got a reasonable quote with the options I wanted. Emailed back a few days later to subtract a pricey option I added and add a less expensive one. I twice tried to make an online offer to Tom Cooper, very much reasonable offer and inline with my original quote from Owen Dunn. Tom Cooper insisted I come in even though I repeatedly told him I do not want to play the haggle game at the dealership. I was assured via email that even though he cannot confirm my offer will be accepted he feels very confident if I can come in today we can get it done. I reluctantly enter the dealership and hand Joe the Sales Manager my offer, in writing. The offer I went into the dealership with was typed, included VIN, all options, and terms. My hand was shook, my credit card was charged, my credit was run. I waited almost two hours. Finally PJ the salesman comes over with my purchase contract. My options are not listed. The terms of my offer are not honored. I was then told, "we can't lose money on the car." Deplorable operation. Dishonest.

They lied to us. We confirmed a price and apr with quirk by email prior to going. When we went there the price was $3000 more and 0% wasn't even an option. They lied to us just to get us in the door and push a deal on us. We just walked out and we will never go back.

I went to Quirk based on their web site advertising a big Presidents Day discount on the Outback model I was interested in . The web site also showed that they had 3 of that model car in inventory. When I got there, they did not have any cars at the advertised price and was told they only had one left of the model I wanted. I didn't want the color. When I went to leave they told me they just found the other 2 cars with the colors I was looking for. 1 was on the lot, the other would be on the lot in 2 days. I should have left then, but I went through the process of writing up an agreement on the car that would be available in a couple days. After sleeping on it, I decided I should wait a few more months before buying a new car. When I told Quirk I was going to postpone my purchase, they told me it was too late and that the bank would chase me for the money on the lease, even if I did not take delivery on the car. The car was not even on their lot yet! - I have never encounter such blatant dishonesty and high pressure sales tactics. Don't waste your time at Quirk!

I started my car leasing process by emailing back and forth with Tom Cooper, Quirk Subaru's "Business Development Consultant". Once I was happy with the business terms, all that was left was to bring by my trade to be valued by Quirk. I reached out to Tom the night before to confirm the car I wanted was still available because I was traveling over 20 miles to get there. Even though I got there right after they opened, the car was now mysteriously unavailable. Classic car dealership bait and switch!!! The sale rep "P.J." had a more expensive car that they would give me a deal on that I would be "stupid" not to take. Stupid??? What was stupid was not listening to the advice of many that have had a similar experience with Quirk dealerships and their poorly trained twenty-somethings. Ironically, I called the dealership the next day and the car I originally wanted re-appeared (although I'm sure it will disappear again if you show up looking for it).

I saw in the Boston Globe an add for a CrossTrek at $18.9K, which is unheard of. I e-mailed the dealership and received a response. My questions were very specific about the ad, i.e. is this one car or is it the model based upon features, how long did the promotion last, etc. I was assured by Tom that this was a model based upon the features, i.e. CrossTrek Limited with 5 Speed Manual transmission. I then inquired if they had any in stock that I could test drive. The response was no, but they should be getting some in over the weekend. I emailed again on a Sunday and was told by Tom that the cars were just arriving. When I arrived at the dealership, I was handed off to a sales man. He promptly told me that the ad in the Globe was for one car and he sold it over a month ago! I knew this was a bait and switch technique and every dealership does it, so I went on a test drive anyways. I really liked the car I drove, and we worked out a deal. The salesman and his sales manager took my money and completed all of the sales paperwork. I left the dealership believing I had bought a car. The salesman promised the car would be ready on New Year's day, and he even joked that we may want to come in after noontime in order for him to be able to make it to the dealership. He promised to call to let me know the car was ready. He never did. On New Year's day I called the dealership to see if my car was ready. 2 hours later and no call back, I contacted the sales man, he finally got back to me and said my car would be ready the next day in the afternoon. I asked why I had to wait another day, and his response was that he would have never promised that we could pick up the car on New Year's day because the car would not be registered on new Year's (Then why the joke about coming in after noon on New Year's?). I said ok and told him he needed to have the car ready first thing in the morning so that I could get home before the storm got too bad. The next day I arrived at the dealership and as soon as I walked in they told me there had been some mix up, that the car I had purchased had already been sold when they sold it to me and that I could have a different car. I said I did not want a different one. They said they would give me a rental car and they would get the car in as soon as possible. They said this was the only recourse as we had a deal. I promptly told them that our deal was for a car that they did not own, and that the sale can be cancelled. At this point they got all nervous and refunded my money and cancelled the contract. I have since contacted the Attorney General, Subaru and quirk motor group. However, it seems based upon the other reviews here and on Yelp this is a common occurrence at this dealership. Don't go here!!!!! If you have the same experience contact the Attorney General. The only way the car sales industry will comply with normal society rules is if they are enforced to. The only way they will be forced to is if enough people complain!!!

I previously reviewed this dealer, Quirk Subaru in Braintree, MA where they pulled the bait & switch on me - illegal per the Attorney General of MA, as I reported to that office, since I was lured to the dealership under false pretenses. I was conned to come in when I agreed to come in & sign the paperwork on my new car - when they never had the car!!I was verbally told the specific car was for sale after seeing the add in the Boston Globe, I asked for trim/color details which were given and I then offered to buy it that minute, in fact I said sold ! cant be much clearer than that!I was not allowed to reserve it with a deposit on the phone. This is common practice for dealers for a short term agreement yet Ledion stated that was an Owner policy. I said if I drove in at the end of the day I may miss the opportunity, so I offered to reschedule my day and arrive within the hour.I again stated that the car should be considered sold and left my contact info - draw up the contract!. Ledion agreed and again did not want my credit card. He only asked that I see him when I arrive.I asked for and received assurance the car would be there, and I stated again to please draw up the lease as per Subaru with $189 as the payment for 36 months with $1,989 down and the buyback cost reflected in the discounted cost. This conversation occurred at about 10:15am after I had previously sent inquiry emails that were not yet responded to.I arrived, was greeted by a sales person in the lot, and I stated I had to see Leonid since I could not purchase the car on the phone. He laughed, said yes they always say come on down! and he brought me to see Ledion, who immediately said to me the car was just sold!In the intervening hour it took for me to drive from Mansfield to Braintree the car was sold?I believed I was talking with the self-titled sales manager authorized to accept the offer. It gets worse I was told in the dealership that I was called and informed the car just got sold. This turned out to be the only truthful statement, I had talked with Ledion at 10:15 am and I am assured the car is for sale, and he subsequently leaves me a message to tell me it just sold at 10:35am? Really? So as unbelievable as it could be imagined the car was sold in the last 60 minutes, it now was sold in only the 20 minutes after it was available to me? Do you have the invoice for that sale? The owner replied to my query stating that he would not show me an invoice & I was called so I could avoid the trip - that was it as far as an apology or offering another car at the advertised price - nothing. One week later & I can add to that review - the same add I saw a week ago in the Boston Globe advertising that specific car by a stock number - is once again printed in the Boston Globe! So lets add false advertising to the list of objectionable & illegal practices by this dealer who I would recommend everyone stay away from!

I went to Quirk Works Subaru in Braintree to buy an outback based on there internet ad. Upon arrival I was greeted by a salesman named PJ Maginnis. I have bought many cars in my time but never have I met a salesman who was as knowledgeable and straight to the point as PJ. He didn't waist any of my time. He asked me a couple of questions and then took me to the exact car I wanted. it took only 10 minutes to get thru the negotiating {one thing I hate} and then 30 minutes later I left in my new car. Pj spent about 15 minutes showing me how the electronics worked and gave me his personal cell and told me I could call him anytime if I had any questions. great job PJ. Obviously the titled sales manager I talked with and visited yesterday cant be the responsible person knowledgeable about rules of business in MA; so I need to communicate this atrocity to a person who is responsible. It is illegal to play bait & switch per the Attorney General of MA, as I am sure you know. I bought a Subaru Legacy along with a maintenance plan on June 11, 2011. My Business/Finance Manager Bob at the time reassured me that this plan covered dealer scheduled services. I went to the dealer today at 30K miles and, surprise, I was told my plan only covered oil changes. Now, keep in mind that this plan was very pricey for just oil changes so I expected more and also Bob assured me at the time that this plan did indeed cover a lot of services. This dealership does not back up what it sells and I wouldn't give them another dime of my money.

Joseph was excellent, he basically sold me a car over the phone.Very easy to work with. Extremely professional. I have purchased over a dozen new car in my life time I have actually purchase three vehicles from quirk in the pastFrom quirk I purchased a ford explorer, expedition,(EB) winstar mini van and not to mention a Hyundai when they first came out.And now a Subaru. After that I purchased a few Toyota , Nissan, a couple of ford trucks etc. all from other dealershipI say this just so you know that I am a seasoned consumer But I have to say I have never worked a more professional person like Joseph. For the first time in my life I left a dealership feeling like I didn't have to haggle and play games.I got a fare price no nonsense business with in 20 minutes we had a deal.I would strongly recommend this dealership to anyone. Trust me, I just don't buy a vehicle I like to shop but when I walked into quirk I knew that that this was the place I wanted to buy my car from.If they treat everyone the same way they treated me then I think they are going to blow their competition out of the water.PS we went to other subaru dealership before quirk , 6 in all so it wasn't like I didn't have other dealerships to compare them with and non of them compared to the service I got from quirk.

What a horrible experience!! I emailed them to see if they had the car I was looking for, they said yes, I showed up a few hours later and after I was dragged around the parking lot for a half hour, they told me the cars were "unable to be located," talk about a bait and switch! They also told me via email that they use Kelly Blue Book to assess trade ins and promised 110% of my trade in value, only to find out that they in fact use NADA and offered me less than half of what my vehicle was worth. Against my better judgement I ordered a car through them, after 3 weeks it still wasn't there, even though I had a VIN number they couldn't tell me where it was! I ended up getting the car I wanted at a dealership that actually treats their customers with some honesty and integrity. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from these guys. Sean Griffin and Tim Long in particular, they'll do anything to get you to the dealership including lie and cheat.

I have owned a lot of vehicles....a lot 24 to be exact. So I have dealt with a lot of dealers and a lot of salespeople. Finding a good salesperson can sometimes be difficult. From the first moment I met PJ I knew I had found the right sales consultant. Knew his product line and was fast and efficient with the entire process. Wasn't pushy but gave the right amount when needed. Plus asked me if I wanted to buy the Crosstreck! Have had so many salespeople over the years afraid to ask that. I knew exactly what my trade was worth and PJ hit it right on the head! Was great through the entire process and I love my new ride. Showed me service and made sure I was happy. So anyone looking for a new Subaru, now you know who to see, PJ! Better hold on to this one MR. Quirk, I will be back again!Greg Kennedy

Although my experience at Quirks was mostly positive, the only reason I purchased my car there was due to the outstanding work of the salesman at this dealership, Joel Arroyo. Regardless of the sales facility, honesty is the most important commodity you have and in this aspect the dealership failed. Unfortunately, we felt that the sales manager misled us during the final stage of the transaction. We recognize our failure in not walking away when we felt that the sales manager was being less than honest. Later when we received a phone call from the sales person about the car, we explained in detail our displeasure with the buying process and later we heard again from the salesman with an unsatisfactory explanation from the sales manager. To this day neither the salesman nor the sales manager had call us to clarify our questions and concerns about the transaction.. .

i have had trouble in the past with this dealer i always felt like these guys cared more about making a sale than helping the customer. so i stopped going here and went to planet subaru where they are just as bad. i decided to try quirk one more time and i have to say i was impressed. before i had finished driving into the service drive there was a young man standing there with a clipboard waiting for me. when i opened my window i was greeted with the highest level of respect. the young man escorted me to his desk and began putting my information into his computer and began asking me why i was there. i told him i was having a issue with a rattle noise and he began asking me every question imaginable (where, when, how fast, how slow) etc. at that moment i truly felt like he was more concerned about fixing my problem than making a buck. after the paperwork was printed he went over each complaint then asked my to sign the bottom of the page and told me how long it would take to inspect my car. when i was done signing he escorted me to the waiting area, offered me coffee and told me if i had any questions feel free to just ask him. i waited for about 20 minutes before i was approached once again to be informed what has been done, what they want to do and how much longer it was going to be. about 10 minutes later i saw the mechanic pull my car into a parking spot and before the mechanic even came inside david had approached me and asked me to have a seat at his desk. david explained what the noise was, waived the charge and explained what the mechanic did to my car. since i am not a mechanic i had a few questions which david had no problem with answering and explaining. while going over the paperwork i noticed that the mechanic had written some suggestions down and i asked david about them, he went over all the mechanics suggestions and explained why and what they were. david explained that the mechanics suggestions were merely suggested because of how old my car is and that i should wait until a specific mileage instead. i couldn't believe that i walked into the same quirk dealer i walked into two years ago, david even opened the door for me as i left. two years ago i would've told everyone i knew to stay away from this dealership, now i cant tell enough poeple how great this dealer is. i suggest anyone who reads this to go to this dealer and see david, he is a honest man who truly does care about his customers and will not try to sell you everything the dealer has to offer.

I was very interested in purchasing a new Subaru Outback, and had test driven one at a local dealership the week before (I did not purchase from that specific dealership as they did not offer me nearly what I wanted for my trade). I went onto TrueCar.com, and Quirk was one of the dealerships that had the car in stock that I was interested in (Subaru Outback 2.5i Special Appearance Package). Jennifer Martinez contacted me the next day, and I was able to negotiate a really good price online with her prior to coming into the dealership. I let them know that if they could give me the Kelly Blue Book value for my trade I would sign paperwork.I arrived and met my salesperson, Liza Lentini, who was very friendly and easy to work with. After a quick spin in the new Outback, I sat down with the Sales Manager to negotiate the trade. To my surprise they came in very close to what I was asking for on the first try, so after a small bit of negotiation I was able to get what I wanted on the trade. Having done the negotiations for the car online (which was very easy), it made the experience at the dealership that much less stressful (I hate negotiating!) and much quicker.Within 90 minutes, paperwork was generated and signed. It was after closing when I left, and they promised the car would be prepped and ready for pick up the next day. The next morning Liza was texting me with updates, and when I arrived the car was spotless and ready to go! Liza spent a good hour with me reviewing the electronics (navigation and stereo) and assisted with bluetooth set up). Overall, a great experience with this dealership, and I would definitely do business with them again! They were friendly, and they treated me with respect though the whole purchase experience. I would highly recommend working with Liza, and also working with Jennifer on pricing before coming in. There is a Subaru dealership much closer to my house, however they were not able to come anywhere near the deal I got at Quirk.

I sent an internet inquiry to multiple Subaru dealerships, Quirk being the furthest about 45 minutes away. JENNIFER MARTINEZ was my original contact point. She was very pleasant to speak with, seemed nice. The following week I went to a nearby dealership in Raynham SUPER upfront, enjoyable experience. The car I wanted was a few thousand out of my price range, I decided to wait. Ms. Martinez followed up and I explained I needed to wait so I could increase my down after tax returns came in. THEN I received an email from NICK FILLMAN who identified himself as their Business Development Coordinator. I responded with EXACT numbers for a budget 6000 trade in didn't want to finance more than 12,000 so I was around 4,000 off in the price. I will keep them in mind when I am looking again in a few months. JENNIFER MARTINEZ responds, clearly CCd in Nick's email. " What your asking for isn't impossible" please come in I have the car pulled up for you. I needed the price to be 2000 from what they were asking for on Presidents Day weekend. I knew Subabrus usually go for sticker and explained I could happily wait. I no car payment, didn't NEED a car at all it would HAVE to be 18k or under. ..."please come in" They gave me the EXACT same price as I explained I couldn't afford AND less for my trade in than ALL other dealerships I had looked at. I drove an hour and a half to be completely lied to. 22k?? 4 thousand dollars difference from what I had made clear I could currently afford and what they said they could work with. Had JENNIFER MARTINEZ or NICK FILLMAN simply kept in touch for 2 months they couldve made an easy sale. Their initial impression was great, they cannot and do not follow through or understand a persons time and money are valuable. I was 100% honest and have emails that show the conversations and numbers. I have never been so lied to by a dealership. I expect a certain amount of BS but this was just ridiculous. They had a sale in the bag they absolutely ruined it and lost a customer and I STRONGLY suggest going elsewhere. Subaru's dont vary in price that much dealership to dealership. Raynham Maestra or Plant Subaru in Hanover were both very professional and upfront. I will be working with them in a few months! Good Luck, Hope this helps.

Recently, my 2008 Subaru Impreza drove through some high water on the freeway. Soon after that, my car's Check Engine Light started to flash, the car shut off and could not be restarted. I towed it to Quirk Subaru and had them diagnose it. Eric Walsh was my service adviser and he was very hopeful in navigating through the diagnostic and insurance claim process. He was very proactive in filing the insurance paperwork and working with the appraiser so that my claim was handled promptly. Eric truly went above and beyond what I had expected and he should be praised for his extraordinary efforts. Thanks Eric!

This is my second Subaru Outback, both from this dealer. I have found the work performed to be of superior quality and both the service advisors and technicians respect the customer's time. I have had both vehicles serviced exclusively by Quirk and have been treated very respectfully each and every time. I highly recommend this dealership and its service department.

I had a great experience at Quirk Subaru. My salesman was a very good, He made sure that everything went smooth. At first I was skeptical about Quirk, But my salesman Joel Arroyo was very helpfull with helping me through the whole thing. Also his manager Steve was very friendly and he made us feel like we got a great deal. If you are looking to purchase a subaru you should go and pay them a visit.

I always leave Quirk Subaru service center with a piece of mind.I searched for the best deal on tires for my '09 Legacy. Town Fair Tire, Sears, Sullivan, Firestone, and maybe a couple of other places but I wasn't happy with their prices. I new I had an oil chance due on my car so I brought it down to Braintree. I also knew I needed rear breaks. I explained to the service staff about my situation so they gave me several options, I ended up getting four-70K mile all season tires, factory breaks, alignment and an oil change for a superb price.I depend on my Subaru for work so I need reliability at all times, snow, rain, cold or hot.I will certainly continue my relationship with this service center not just for my current Subaru but for my next Subaru also.Thank you Eric, Andrew and Jamie!

Most recent visit: I had to bring in my car last week for a 60000 mile service. As it was planned a week in advance and knowing I couldn't wait in the waiting room this time.i drop the car with Andrew then i left with the understanding that he would be in touch to let me know when she was ready for pickup and with any findings if need be. Turns out the mechanics were very thorough as usual and noticed an inner CV Boot had a tear in it. Because Andrew did a great job of explaining what the part's function is, what realistically could happen if left as is, and the exact cost of its replacement, I was able to make an informed decision on how to have them proceed. When I came later to pickup the car, Andrew was there to walk me through the details of the service that had been performed, closeout with the cashier, and let me know he would check with me the next day to make sure everything was running well. Summary: I appreciate receiving personal and personable attention from the same service rep I see initially through to the closeout and follow-up parts of the service transaction. I appreciate that the service reps I deal with keep their promises to me whether it's price, time commitment, or follow-up related. This is why I continue to be a satisfied service customer of Quirk Subaru.

I refused to go to any Subaru dealership since I purchased my car because it was such a horrible experience! However, I received a coupon in the mail for an oil change so I figured I would take that coupon and save the $12.00. Not looking forward to dealing with Subaru I had a little attitude upon arrival. Immediately my mood changed. Eric, my Service Advisor, was friendly, courteous and not pushy at all. Since it had been 3 years since I have stepped foot in a Subaru dealership there were a few recalls on my car. Eric asked me a few questions and really listened to my answers. He explained everything and was very patient when I had several questions of my own. He explained how they do things (free inspections & such) and made me aware of some services they offer that made my day much easier. Since they were able to complete all the required work and my oil change as well as my recall I opted to leave my car for the day. I asked for a quote on 4 tires as well and got a prompt call from Eric explaining my choices and prices. Usually I would not agree to anything over the phone, but Eric had earned my trust so I authorized the new tires too. I went in for an oil change at a discount and ended up with a safer, better driving car, and a much different view of Subaru. I will ONLY go to QUIRK WORKS SUBARU from now on and will tell everyone I can how wonderful they are! Thank you Eric you have not only saved me money and time (by doing everything needed when I didn't even have an appointment!), you made my van safer and better riding, but you also earned my trust (back)and made me a Subaru lover again. You guys are great & should be very proud of the service you provide...I'm a very tough customer!

My daughter went in to purchase a new Outback which they had discussed the day before. Unfortunately, Quirk was the only LOCAL dealer that had what she wanted ON THE LOT. It took OVER 3 hours for the staff to get the paperwork together. I have NO IDEA why we should be forced to endure such casual customer treatment. And, they don't seem to know what they are doing. When we discussed financing they kept changing the percentage and then told us we couldn't take the car that day if we financed. SO, we paid cash just to get out of there. (My daughter lost her car in Hurricane Sandy so was up against it..) Quirk sucks!

Custom ordered a car, first sales rep took my deposit. A week later, he got fired or something. Second rep took over, screamed at me on the phone, giving me attitudes about bothering them too much. I complained to their GM of sales, so he got let go. Couldn't work out the deal with the GM of sales, so I want my deposit back. He said he couldn't find the receipt, I assume the first rep pocketed it himself. He said it's not his problem since he was employed there when I ordered (what a crock of an excuse). Got a hold of the District Manager and their "meeting" with the dealership owner, finally got my deposit back after 4 WEEKS OF MY OWN EFFORT!.... got my car out of state obviously, Mass Subaru dealers suck to no end.

I have had two very positive experiences at Quirk Works service, so I assumed it would continue. On my last visit, not so much.I brought it in for the front and rear differential fluid to be changed, to find out what was wrong with the power steering, and to see why the ABS brake light was sometimes on.They changed the fluid for $200 - fair enough. They said they did not know what was wrong with the ABS light, but would charge a $100 diagnostic fee to find out. I said ok. Turns out all they did was read the code for that and said that the left rear sensor reported it. Autozone does that for free. They said that the power steering needed a belt and a pump, which would be $850. I said no, so they charged me a $100 "diagnostic fee" for not doing the work. They said I needed new rear brakes for $1375 because there was rust on the outer-edge of the disk. What they did not know was that I had already replaced those disks so I was not going to be fooled by normal rust that was just on the edge where the calipers do not contact. The next day, Sullivan Tire fixed the power steering with a new belt for $75. So Quirk charged me $100 for not doing the work and said I needed a pump that I did not need, and another place actually fixed it for $75.Had I not reviewed my bill several times, there would have been even more things tacked on. I had to keep on getting them to remove services before I signed it.All of my past positive experiences were with Service Manager Daniel O'Connell, who as far as I can tell, no longer works there. Without him, I can't see going there any more.

I am amazed this place has any good reviews at all. I went there in May looking to purchase a new Subaru Impreza (5 door) and trade in my 2007 Nissan Sentra with 67,000 miles on it. I had been to previous Ssubaru dealerships so I already had a price range in mind and was just going to see what Quirk had on their lot and what they could do price wise for me. It was a complete waste of time. Not only did the sales rep I have do absolutely nothing but let me look at the car, but whatever manager she got to help with the price was one of the rudest men I have ever delt with. I did my research prior to going, I knew the Kelly blue book value of my car and this man came out and told me it was worth $5,000 less and that I was naive to think it was worth anything more. Their price was over $4,000 more than ANY of the other dealerships I went to and it was for the EXACT SAME CAR (wasn't even on the lot, each dealership was bidding for it while it was in transit). When I told this to him, I was again called naive. I asked the gentleman for my keys back and instead of giving them to me, he kept going on about how I would never get a good deal at another dealership and kept pushing me to think is outrageous price was a "great deal". It got to the point that I had to stand up, ask (in a not so polite way) for my keys back a second time and was finally allowed to leave. I have never heard a good review from ANYONE I have asked about this dealership, I will never go back to Quirk.

Thought I would relate my experience since it was so positive and rather unexpected, given my past dealer experiences purchasing new cars. Though I had seen and was somewhat familiar with Outbacks, I wanted to perhaps compare the new OB with other brands prior to purchase....due diligence Just to gather info for my thought process, I requested an internet quote from Quirk Subaru, and Jack Hessler quickly responded with a number I thought reasonable enough to make a trip to the dealer in order to thoroughly check out the OB. I was not planning to buy that day. I arrived at Quirk, and I must say that the entire experience was quite pleasant, and even enjoyable.....go figure. Though I spoke briefly to Jack who was very pleasant and welcoming, I spent the majority of time with Bob and Jon. Let me say that I felt no pressure or insistence on their part. Both Bob and Jon sought to be informative, accommodating (even if it meant my checking out other brands), helpful, and clearly let me know that they would do whatever they could to work with me, whenever I decided I was ready. Even though I initially said I did not plan to purchase that day, they remained friendly, engaged in a positive way, and sought to answer any questions I had without rushing me, or rushing off themselves. As it turned out, I really liked the OB, and given my comfort level and constructive feeling about the folks I was dealing with, was less inclined to go elsewhere. By the way, Quirk is not geographically the closest Subaru dealer to me. I don't mind a little distance, if I am OK with the dealership. I decided I wanted to buy that day, from Quirk, we worked out the deal (fair, no hassle process) and I requested a color they did not have on the lot. Bob found one in Rhode Island, and arranged to have it there the next day. Though they made good faith effort to get the registration/sticker done that next day, we understandably ran out of time. However, they had the car prepped for me and gave me papers so I could drive it home that day. I agreed to come in after the weekend for the registation and sticker. The next day, I was pleasantly surprised to receive the registration in my e-mail. After the weekend, I went to Quirk for the sticker, was greeted by Bob and Jon in a warm and friendly manner, and Jon took the car to get my sticker while I had coffee. By far, this has been the most agreeable car purchase experience I have had to date, and I have had many, including from GM, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and Saab. All I worked with were friendly, professional, straight forward, informative, good listeners, and both attentive and responsive to my wishes, even salesmen I did not work with, but just chatted. What more do I want. I certainly would recommend Quirk given this experience, and am working on my wife to look at the Legacy sedan. Maybe we'll do this again.

My sister and I bought a Subaru Forester from Mr. Hessler a few months ago. The overall experience was one of the worst I have ever had buying a new car and I have bought many different cars from different dealers. Mr. Hessler and I agree on a price over the internet on a new Subaru Forester with set options. They did not have the color we wanted in stock. He stated to us that it cost him about $700 to get the car from a Subaru dealer in Belmont MA, which was only about 20 miles away. I thought that cost is a bit high but we agree to it. When we were signing papers, the finance manager tried to sell us a loan with the APR of 5.9%, the going rate was about 2.9% at that time. When we told him that we were going to pay cash, he stated that the price on the contract was only good if we finance through him and at the high interest rate. This is when Mr. Hessler step in and pull the finance manager to the side. A few minutes later, Mr. Hessler sat down with us and said paying cash was fine. Mr. Hessler then proceed to rip up the old contract and provided us with a new one that has an additional $700 fee for a deal acquisition fee. To make a long story short, this has been the worst car buying experience ever for me personally. Needless to say, we will never do business with Quirk Subaru of Braintree again.

I contacted this dealer by internet for a lease quote by fax. I explained that I have leased cars before and want transparency in the numbers. I provided the dealer with my fax number and asked for a lease quote including the MSRP, Selling Price, Money Factor, and Residual Value. These elements comprise a lease and are equivalent to knowing what you are paying for a car and what the interest rate is.Quirk sent only the payment and a vague statement that I was below dealer cost. I explained I am aware in leases dealers REDUCE the selling price and then INFLATE the money factor, which is nothing more than a transformed interest rate. (If you take the money factor and multiply it by 2400 you get the effective interest rate.) I wanted to be sure the rate was not being padded and got completely stonewalled. Mr. Hessler wrote:"Thanks much for your note and explaining, once again, what you are looking for. We find faxing info to people a cumbersome and inefficient process. I you would like to provide an email address, we will be happy to continue this discussion. If not, best of luck! We will not however publish lease competent info under any circumstances. Thanks much for your understanding!!"MY REPLY: IF IT TAKES YOU THREE FAXES TO STONEWALL AND ONLY ONE TO PROVIDE CUSTOMERS WITH A TRANSPARENT QUOTE, IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT THE PROCESS IS CUMBERSOME AND INEFFICIENT. GREAT SALES JOB: PROVIDE YOU MY EMAIL OR GET LOST? HOW ABOUT EARN THE RIGHT TO OBTAIN MY EMAIL AND A LOYAL CUSTOMER THROUGH OPEN AND HONEST COMMUNICATION - NOT DEMAND MY EMAIL BECAUSE YOU CANNOT PROVIDE ME WITH THE INFORMATION I REQUESTED. WOW, I REALLY REGRET THAT YOU ARE MAKING TOO MUCH MONEY TO SEND A FAX AND DO YOUR JOB. AND FYI, I DO NOT NEED LUCK, I HAVE CASH. I WILL GO TO ANOTHER DEALER AND LEVERAGE IT. APPARENTLY YOU DO NOT NEED LUCK IF YOU CAN BURN CUSTOMERS READY TO BUY.

All-around excellent experience with Peter and Quirk Braintree. Before deciding on our Impreza, we made multiple trips to the dealer, took several test drives, asked a million questions, came in near closing time, and were demanding about what needed to be repaired before the sale. Though it all, Peter didn't bat an eye. No high-pressure sales pitches, just plenty of relaxed explanation and dialogue. We went to loads of dealers in the Boston area, and these guys were some of the nicest we met. They even fixed a dinged-up fog light the night before we picked the car up - even after we had already agreed to buy it as-is. Price could've been cheaper but was right in line with what you'd expect elsewhere. Definitely recommended.

The price was great. However, the salesperson (not Kevin Mannings) who sold us the extended warranty was not helpful. Three months after buying the vehicle, we still could not receive any documentation about buying the extended warranty but the other people there was not willing to help. Therefore we consider the services was not good. The prices however was much better than many other Subaru dealers willing to offer. In the future, I would buy new cars from this dealer but not extended warranty.

approximately 1 year ago , my 2005 outback had a catastrophic failure of the drive train which also is a turbo .... the turbo failed in january and was replaced under warranty by a dealership in NH which , at the time, was the location where the car broke down.... 3 months later , while back home in the boston area, the complete failure of the engine occured ... It appears the newly installed turbo was not installed properly and was partly responsible for the total engine failure. I was absolutely livid over the fact that my previous outback, a 99, had blown it's valve cover gaskets with approximately 65K miles on it. my 05 had the initial turbo failure at approximately 45K so i was , in my mind , pretty much done with subaru forever. I took the car into quirk in braintree and dealt with Mr Dan Oconnell the service manager. I cannot say enough good things about Dan. I went in , in my opinion understandably, a pretty angry person and was pretty much told by Dan that he would go to bat for me. Dan immediately made me feel like he was going to do everything he could for me , even though i felt at the time, after the diagnosis of the catastrophic engine failure, that my car would never be the same again. I still somewhat feel that way as i just can't get past the fact that the whole drive train of my car had to be ripped out piece by piece including the engine mounts. Dan was able to get subaru to warranty the replacement of the drivetrain . the total bill was in excess of 11,000 dollars....I have brought my car back to quirk regularly since the repair 1 year ago for regular oil changes and a good once over to attempt to allay my fears about the major reconstruction of the drive train . there were a few minor things that occured in the past year but so far nothing major . I am going back in a few days for another oil change and what might be a hopefully a small issue but i have to say , considering the seriousness of the problem, 1 year later , i have nothing but good things to say about the dealership and in particular about the service manager Dan O connell. the man is a true gentlemen and a straight shooter. He has been the most straight forward person i have ever dealt with in the industry. Dan told me early on that the dealer rater site would be one strong way of sharing any positive experiences that felt i had with him and the dealership as this process was going on. I felt in my heart though that i needed to wait long enough to see if this disaster was acually going to work out. I think 1 year is enough at this point, although i will probably still be apprehensive about the car for a while longer seeing as the repair was so complicated , to say that i have been 100 % satisfied with the way the dealership and Mr Oconnell in particular handled this problem. A solid individual who i can enthusiastically recommend. The owner of Quirk is lucky to have this guy working for him

A great experience from start to finish........no haggle internet pricing in which they actually give you the price in one email instead of going back and forth and playing games....was told by other dealers that Quirk does a bait and switch and that the price quoted would not be honored......no such thing..sour grapes of other dealers. Upon arrival the price quoted was the price, no games......Scott McDonald, Peter R were great salespeople, no pressure, and very well informed on the car......and truly cared about customer satisfaction. Not just lip service at this dealership..........had issue with something that was caused at the factory and both sales and service ensured me it would be taken care of........and when I came back to have it taken care of, the service manager Dan O'Connell was fantastic and wanted to be sure I was fully satisfied with the resolution. I have been dealing with sales and service personnel for 25 years and I can honestly say that the folks at Quirk simply are the best ............never met someone who cared more about his service customers than Dan O'Connell.........I have another Subaru dealer closer to me, but because of Dan, I will travel the extra 12-14 miles and have my service done with Quirk. While some dealers talk a good game about how customer friendly they are and that satisfaction of customer is top priority......Quirk not only says it, but it actually is ingrained in thier operational culture from Sales to Service....Bravo Quirk and Thank You. If you want an enjoyable upfront sales or service experience this is the dealership for you.

Very professional sales experience. My questions were answered thoughtfully, I was unsure about which model and test drives to compare were immediately arranged, I had shopped for price before coming to the dealer so I knew what I expected and a very good price was agreed upon. There was no pressure - just good information that helped me to make the right decision. The finance manager worked to get me several options so I could get the best rate possible. I have never had that happen before. Great experience all around. Next time I buy a car - I will go back to Quirk.

Went to Quirk Subaru, looking for a new car. Met Peter, was very very helpful, he was very knowledgeable. Test drove a vehicle, enjoyed the ride. Did not lead me to something I wasn't into, there wasn't any pressure that you would normally get at dealers. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I had a completely comfortable time while I was there. A very reputable dealership, made me feel welcomes and they know their stuff. * * * * *

After a lengthy and frustrating search of local Subaru dealerships I called Quirk Works Subaru and told the manager what I wanted. His answer was, "yeah, we can do that." I was pretty skeptical. I almost didn't make the trip. When I arrived they actually left me alone to browse around -- talk about no hassle -- and when I approached the sales desk I was directed to Mr. Scott J McDonald. He brought out a black Forester and I instantly fell in love with it. We went for a brief test drive (I had driven my girlfriend's new Forester quite a bit -- he didn't really have to sell me on the car) and then we sat down to talk numbers. I told him what and how I wanted to pay and he said, "yeah, we can do that." And then he brought another manager by and I told him and he said "yeah, we can do that." So they ran my credit, and printed out a sales agreement and guess what, THEY DID THAT! Through out the process I felt very comfortable, no pressure whatsoever, none of this "well, can you work with us" business that was the song and dance at all the other dealers. They even took care to include the tax in my monthly payment so it came out to exactly match the numbers I had asked for. I have to say that the paperwork part of the deal was completely straightforward and transparent. The night I signed I actually slept better than I had in the past few weeks, worrying over "car deals".And speaking of a straightforward, professional, nice salesperson, Scott is top shelf. When I went to pick up my car I had asked for locking lugs for the alloy wheels, and the service department hadn't put them on. Two days later a UPS package from Scott arrived containing the lugs, free of charge! Also, the sign out on the car was unique. Scott spent about 40 minutes going over everything, they keys, the books, the warranties, and then took me through a meticulous walk-through of my new Forester, pointing out many features I didn't know... the sorts of things I might have never figured out unless they were pointed out. I really had the feeling I wasn't going to get out of there with my new car until Scott felt I was really comfortable. He even asked "do you feel comfortable with the car."All I can say is that I would highly, strongly recommend this dealership to anyone interested in a Subaru. I had been to most of the dealerships and friends who have bought elsewhere. None compares with Quirk. No hassle, low key, no hard sell, great price and service! And when you go there, make sure you ask for Scott!

I brought my 10 year old Outback in for a new timing belt and to check on a coolant leak. Before quoting the work, they put the car up on the lift to check out the leak and look for any other problems. Rather than just blindly doing the work I came for (and taking my money), they wanted to make sure we knew about any other issues before putting money into a car this old. My car would have needed some major repairs, which I was not prepared to do yet. They gave me a very reasonable quote and encouraged me to think about it. No hard sell, just honest information; it's so refreshing.Even though I have not yet decided if I will get the repairs done, I highly recommend this dealer for service based on their honest and straight forward approach, and I've already recommended them to my friends who have Subarus.

First I want to say that my experience with dealerships thus far hasn't been very good. I've definitely been overcharged in the past and wasn't educated about the issues entirely. Today, my whole outlook changed. I called Quirk Subaru and spoke with Dan the service manager and immediately he was nice and personable. I told him that I've been experiencing some vibrations with the brakes. Dan invited me to bring my car into the shop and when I got there I was introduced to Mike, the mechanic assigned to my car. The service manager and the mechanic educated me about the issue and I gave them to green light to fix the brakes because I knew that the quality of work would be superior. Long story short, Quirk Subaru's customer service has made a full 180 degree turn from past. Everyone there provided above and beyond service. I would definitely return as a customer as long as Dan and Mike are at Quirk Subaru!

Dan O'Connell and everyone at Quirk Works in Braintree have been great to deal with on the servicing of our Subaru Forester. They are honest with their assessment of any problems with our car and give us their undivided attention. No fluff-offs or suggestion of unnecessary work from Quirk Works! We had been customers of Planet Subaru in Hanover and were quite dissatisfied with them forcing us to move on to Quirk Works. We are so glad we did!

Let me start by saying, I normally shop local/small businesses. yet, after having been to 2 local Subaru dealerships and left feeling overwhelmed, taken advantage of and a bit "put off"- I decided to go to Quirk in Braintree. From the minute I walked into Quirk Subaru I was greeted with professionalism, smiles and knowledgable staff. They were able to answer all my questions, assist me through my "want and need" list and most of all- guide me through the financial aspect. I not only got a better, more luxurious car than I intended, but I got it at a much better price then I have seen (at the 2 local places & online). Scott was absolutely awesome! he was patient, kind and a great salesman- not the stereotypical shark :). Jim the sales manager (Im not sure of this title) was not only fair, but he was easy to talk to and made this process less stressful! Last but not least, Tanga (sorry if im mispelling your name). Tanga handled my finances with experience, knowledge and professionalism. Thanks to you all- I love my Subi and had a great experience at QUIRK.I will definitley recommend Quirk and wont go anywhere else in the future!!!- ABsubaruBridgewater, MA

I recently had a major repair completed on my Subaru (I love ths car). It was the kind of repair that you wonder if your car will ever be the same. Needless to say Dan, the Service Manager was great. He kept me informed on the progress, he worked with me on a making sure it was a fair deal and he had a great way about him. Honestly, I have had my vehicle serviced here a few times in the last year and they were all positive experiences and it is entirely because of him. I used to bring it here but the Service Manager before Dan was condescending so I started to bring it elsewhere. Nonetheless, Dan is there so that's where I bring my Subie. He ensured that not only was the repair made but that it was done with complete expertise and professionalism. He is an asset. A very difficult thing to find in a dealer service manager job.Overall, a good dealership and a strengthening service department.

I just purchased a new Forester from Quirk Works Subaru. I got an online price, and when I made an appointment to go to the dealership Lucio Chieppe was my sales person. The Internet price was honored, there were no games to raise the price as had happened with other dealerships. They did not have a car with the options I wanted, so after a test drive of the same model, Lucio suggested ordering the car since I was not in a hurry for the vehicle. Once the car was ordered, Lucio stayed in touch and gave me updates on the progress of manufacture and shipping as he got them. The price on the car was substantially below any other price I had obtained, and Lucio was great to deal with through the whole process. He has even followed up after the purchase to make sure I am happy. I would absolutely recommend Lucio to my friends and family when they need to purchase a car. This was a very easy, no hassle buying experience.

I have gone here since August 2010, Dan has asked me in the past to rate him and well I kept on forgetting too. After today however I will always go to this dealer ship. Dan Mike and Bob have always been nothing, but professional and have a very pleasant tone about them. Mike the technician who I always deal with is awesome. He is incredibly knowledgeable and a tireless worker, I have gone in there once for a noise and he went on a test drive with me to listen to me and get my input on what I thought was wrong. Although that day we did not hear the noise, he was still willing to tackle it the next day once the car cooled down and try again. Turned out it was a broken crank pulley. They replaced it with in 4 hours which for a Subaru engine and where it is. That was a very speedy service. Mike, Dan and Bob, All 3 of them took the time to explain what was going on with no fluff it was very clear and understandable. Recently I was hearing yet another noise however in a different part of the car. So I took it down to Quirk once again I got Mike he drove it around and tested the car he heard the noise and showed me what was wrong turned out my older Subaru had a loose break shoe. They fixed free of charge! That right there told me this dealer ship was here to keep me happy and not line their pockets! Dan and Bob both have a wonderful memory and know me. When I first went there, they had a small computer error that charged me for an extra quart of oil all of 2 dollars, this happened 6 months ago and too this day Dan will still apologize for this small error, He also took great care of me and fixed the error. I have been around to many dealerships with this car due to moving around the state for my job and other factors and I will say by far this is best Subaru dealer ship in the state of MA.

Terrific sales experience. No pressure. Peter was very helpful and rook the time to understand what I needed, not what the dealership needed. The paperwork was handled completely and professionally by Geri, she even redid the contract when the rate came in lower than expected. Got a terrific car at a great price and made several new friends. Comes here to get your next new or used car!

I have been very impressed with the service department of Quirk Works Subaru. I am greeted at the door and my car is taken in shortly thereafter. I mainly go in for oil changes or some little quirky thing wrong and my car is thoroughly looked over and explained in detail what is causing problems that I have been experiencing. I then plan on going to the corner mechanic to fix, but I never have to because the manager (Dan O'Connell) goes above and beyond to please his customers and he gives a very competitive price that I cannot say no to! The service dept. does such excellent work that when I drive off, my car feels like new! The atmosphere is very clean and friendly. Dan is a very likeable guy who treats you like a good friend, not just a customer. I actually enjoy going there for service! P.S. My sister owns a Nissan and was bringing it in for oil change with me and they made a special trip to pick up her filter before we even got there so she wouldn't have an extra wait because of the part.Keep up the excellent work!

Very pleased with the pleasant and accomodating attitude of the salesperson that we worked with, Lucio Chieppe. We were very disappointed with the sales service at another Subaru dealership, so this was a much better experience. Please continue to encourage your salespeople to be pleasant and helpful, even if the customer is not prepared to make a purchase. This was not the case at the other dealership and this is what caused us to look for another dealership. Thank you.

This was the third dealership that I came to looking for a new car. I immediately knew that I would not have to look further. My family and I were promptly greeted by our salesperson and all of the employees were kind and helpful throughout the entire process. I had my infant son with me and multiple employees made a point to come over and say hello to him and keep him entertained. The one thing they could improve is that they don't have a changing station in the bathroom. They were kind enough to let us use their conference room, but the car buying process is long so those of us with infants would get some use out of a changing station. Our salesperson, Simon, allowed me to test drive 3 cars and never made it seem like I was wasting time or being a bother. He was very attentive to what kind of car I was looking for and what cars would fit my needs and price range. He let us bring the car inside so we would not have to look it over in the cold. I could tell during our test drives that he was very knowledgeable about the cars and took pride in his work. They took my trade in seriously and were able to work with me on a price that fit my budget. All in all it was a great experience and my family and I are very pleased with our new car.

Overall it was a great experience with this dealership. The salesperson is very friendly and details with the vehicle.During test drive, we ask the salesperson - Scott J McDonald that can we test drive the car on the snow and he came up with a place which is a parking lot nearby that still have a good size of area that has not been plow and there was a good foot of snow on the ground. We drove thru the snow and back up with no problem and we are impressed. He also claimed that there is nobody done it like this before. I guess this vihicle pass our test. One thing that we noticed after pick up the car is the engine is very noisy at start up and compared with my sienna that we had to press on the gas pedal to check if the car is start up or not even though my sienna is 5 years old.

Quirk Subaru was great.I highly recommend that anyone who wants a new car go there. I've told my friends, family, and co-workers to go here. From beginning to end the whole process was smooth, comfortable, and friendly. By the time i was done i felt like theses guys were my friends not car salesmen. The gave me the best figure for my trade, no other dealership could beat the amount they offered. The whole car buying process was great, every question i had they answered whether it was about the car or the sales numbers. Unlike other dealerships they didn't have to constantly refer to the car dealership website to answer my questions

After researching in a recent auto guide the 2011 Subaru Outback became one of my top 3 choices. Before heading out to test drive my top 3 choices, I researched which dealership I wanted to deal with. This dealership was a pleasure to deal through emails; they quoted prices, emailed stickers from windows and stood by every quote they gave me. I decided to deal with this dealership and the 1 hour trip thru Boston was worth the trip. I set out to purchase a Subaru now I just needed to test drive the right model. Peter was very clear on the differences between models; after talking we decided the Outback was a good fit. Peter handed over the keys and let me take the test drives alone (wow) no pressure while trying to focus on the ride. Could not believe the ride; for a 4 cylinder engine it is not at all jerky switching gears like some others, jumps right into action getting on highway from a stop. Very stylish wagon (crossover). The actual purchasing experience was very pleasant (surprise)! I think it has snowed every week since my purchase in early January; the outback is truly the "king of snow". I can't tell you how nice it is to go the the gas station once a week instead of every other day. This vehicle is a great deal for the $$$. Would recommend to anyone!I know we made the right decision by purchasing at your location; pleasure to deal with and very professional! Keep up the good work! Many Thanks

Went into the dealership this past weekend looking to purchase a new Subaru, was unclear of which model to go with between the forester and outback. Scott went over both vehicles and features and was able to help me choose the outback which best suits my needs. He was friendly and knowledgeable of the vehicles features. I felt no pressure and the vehicles price was great! I would recommend Quirk Subaru to anyone, thank you Scott.

This was my first service experience with Quirk Subaru, where we purchased the vehicle. It was for the initial 3750 mile oil change. I made the appointment on-line, received confirmation the next day, and was in and out in 20 minutes! The service people were extremely friendly, and the sales rep I had dealt with came over to say "hello".

I purchased my Subaru at this dealer 3 years ago and my service warranty has since expired. I have always had my maintenance done here and will continue to do so. I feel that they are very honest and they only do the work that is needed. I recently went in for an oil change and tire rotation, and after checking my maintenance history, the service manager informed me that I didn't need the tire rotation yet. It is that kind of service and honesty that will keep me going back to them for service as well as future purchases. Until dealing with Quirk Subaru, I have never in my life dealt with a service center that I feel I could trust to do JUST the repairs I actually need. I highly recommend them!

This dealership (and Tom in specific) went above and beyond the call of duty in helping get me a car. Every one I encountered there was very friendly and knowledgable. They offered the best price out of the many (MANY) car dealerships I talked to (in two different states). I would highly recommend trekking to Braintree to visit this dealership if you're interested in a Subaru!

I Honestly had the BEST experience at Quirk Work Subaru in Braintree!!! I was very nervous about buying my first New car, but everyone there was so helpful and friendly right from when I walked in the door- I was at first welcomed by the sales desk staff that were very friendly and polite and greeted me kindly. I felt absolutely no pressure from the salesman Tom Deianna and the General Manager Sean Ternullo, both of whom were amazing to work with. Both Sean and Tom were incredibly knowledgeable and were very helpful in answering my questions.. Arthur in the finance also at the front desk, not some back of the store finance office, was also very helpful and was able to take care of my financing in a matter of minutes, ensuring that I received the lowest rate possible (much lower than I had expected to receive)! Tom introduced me to the service manager Dan as he was walking by and we has a delightful conversation for a while. Dan was very kind and helpful in explaining the maintenance that would be required in the future (oil changes, tire rotations, Subaru loaner cars, shuttle service available, etc.). Everyone there was great and made my first new car purchase very enjoyable! I will definitely return to Quirk Works Subaru, and I have and will continue to refer all my friends, and family.

We have been shopping for a new Subaru for a few weeks. We also looked at Honda and Toyota. Decided on Subaru because it felt like the Outback gave us the best deal overall. My wife went in to test drive, even though she was a little scared of going by herself into a car dealership. But when she came home, she told me that she was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to shop there. She had a nicer, more relaxed shopping experience versus some other dealerships we visited. She dealt with a salesman named Lucio and with his manager, Arthur. Lucio was very knowledgable about the car, took the time to explain everything and answer her questions. She didn't buy the car that day but we went back together and ended up buying. This dealership is really easy to do business with and they also have a great inventory. (I'm talking about new cars. I didn't see many used or preowned). We went to some Subaru dealers and they had very little new cars in the inventory to chose from. I strongly reccommend them! Give them a try if you are shopping for a Subaru.

Absolutely perfect experience start to finish. After printing out a couple coupons online, I was treated very professionally. I was offered a loaner vehicle (was in for 60k service on my STi) which I turned down and spent the morning in the clean hospitality area. All my questions were promptly answered, and I was even taken into the bays to see outstanding issues (light pitting on my rotors) as well as having the opportunity to talk to the tech/mechanic about oil/diff fluid color and consistency. A+ for involving me in the service process so I understood everything that was being done as well as addressing any concerns that I had. Since I rolled a new battery into the service, I was happy to have the labor charge on that cut down considerably. I'm not from this area, but my family is, and you can be sure next time I'm in the area I'll be stopping back for service here. I will also mention this dealership is highly rated on NASIOC and IWSTI for service.

I had a flat tire along Interstate 95 and needed to find a dealer close to Boston to have new tires put on. I called another Subaru dealer but was not impressed with the way they treated me on the phone, so I called Quirk Works Subaru. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone and they said they could put 4 new tires on my Baja and replace a headlight immediately as soon as I arrived. It was true! The manager, Mr. O'Connell, came outside to greet me as soon as we arrived, and he escorted me as I drove the vehicle into the service area. I was in a hurry because I had a doctor appointment in Boston that I could not be late for. Mr. O'Connell assured me that the service would be done in a half hour or so. He also gave me a discount on the tires and recommended a brand that was cheaper but just as good. He saved me hundreds of dollars with that recommendation! The technician also found an oil pan leak that needs to be fixed in the near future. The manager came and got me and took me to the service area so I could actually see the leak and the rust that was causing the leak to occur. I am so impressed with the service at Quirk that I plan to drive all the way from my house in southern Rhode Island to Braintree, MA to have all future service done on my Subaru Baja. I have never been so impressed with a dealer before. He got me in and out on time and I made it to my doctor appointment on time, too.Aside from getting me in and out on time, the manager also gave me the option of taking the Quirk shuttle to the Red Line train station if I wanted to get to Boston earlier. He even said they would pick me up at the train station upon my return if I chose to go. I didn't take the shuttle this time, but next time I plan to leave my car for service and go into Boston via shuttle and train. How great is that?! -- being in Boston and not worrying about where to park the car and then having someone pick you up at the train station and drive you to your car?! Quirk is the only dealer I know who offers "valet" service!

Dear Mr. Quirk,I can't let another day go by without thanking you sincerely for having an excellent service center with a star staff like Dan O'Connell. I requested an online quote for a new Subaru Forester from three local dealers. Quirk was the only one to reply with an actual quote from Frank Hessler internet sales manager. Kevin Mann was the local salesman that handeled the actual sale and expertly described all models and options available to us. All in all it was the best new car buying experience I've ever had.

My husband and I brought our 2000 Outback into Quirk a few months back because of a soft brake. After a few days of trial and error, Jerry Chan gave us a quote for about $5000 to finish up the brakes. We also had him check the rest of the vehicle and he came up with another $2000 worth of stuff that needed to be replaced. We decided to wait. We recently decided to fix the vehicle. I called Quirk to get a copy of the estimate Jerry made for me. Dano said to just come in. He would check out the entire vehicle and would give us a new quote. Since we didn't want to spend $7000 on the car he said he would seperate it out, most important to least. We ended up doing quite a bit of repairs and the cost was about 1/2 of what Jerry quoted us. After about a week, we decided to bring the car back in and finally get the brakes completed. Dave was the one who helped us this time. Even though he was not our advisor the first few times we came in he was aware we've had numerous people look at the brakes and he knew we've been told multiple times our brakes were fixed and they were not. He did not/would not return our car until he was completely satisfied with the vehicle. We finally have working brakes and again it was cheaper than what Jerry quoted us. Overall, we are extremely happy with the results. Dave and Dano were fabulous. We basically have a brand new car for 1/2 the cost of what we thought it would be. I will definitely keep going to Quirk for repairs.

I grew up working on my own car and rarely have to bring it in for repairs. Until recently I moved into a condo complex that does not allow ANY car work whatsoever. I had no choice but to find a dealership that does great work, I am very anal about who drives or works on my cars. Looking through some of the Subaru forums, I found Quirk Works Subaru as a highly respected dealership with great work, honesty, and most importantly great customer service. I needed an oil change, brake pads, brake disc, brake flush, and just to inspect things over. Made an appointment and took the car in Saturday morning, checked in with the service advisor and saw that the car was immediately pulled into the bay to be worked on. I took a self tour around the dealership and the shop; let me tell you, it was very clean. The techs seemed very professional. The shop had no oil spills, the floor was very clean. I walked to the showroom to look at the Forester, a salesman greets me, we had a small chat about the car and I was very impressed by the way he presented the Forester to me. In the end I told him that my car is in service and that I already own a Subaru. He was never at all pushy or aggressive like many other salesmen at other dealerships. The service advisor went over everything with me when the work was completed. The price for the service was very fair. I took it for a test drive around the parking lot and looked under the car, no leaks, everything was clean. Brakes work great. I am completely satisfied. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, it was a great experience.

I went in to Quirk for a simple oil change. Dan came out and told me that the service tech saw that my head gaskets were leaking oil. He recommended that I get them fixed as soon as possible. The tech also found that my belts and spark plugs also needed to be changed. Dan recommended doing this work as well because the tech had to remove them anyway to fix the head gasket. Dan told me that he could get me a rental and start work on the car right away. Dan got me a rental car and then he took the time to explain exactly what was being done on my car. I left the dealership knowing what was being done and about how much it would cost me. My car was ready the next day and the cost was cheaper that I was originally quoted. My experience at Quirk is always excellent and this time was no different.

I've been buying cars for 40 years. I'm very tough and demanding with car dealers. I was looking for price first and didn't care about friendliness, cooperation, service etc. Give me the best price and I'll figure out later which dealer I want to service the car. I've run the gamut over the years from the unsavory dealer who thrives on conning customers to the dealers with integrity and a good work ethic. To my utter surprise Wissam Bassil, Sean Tenullo, Matt, and Arthur at Quirk Subaru were terrific. Right off the bat I got one low price (by internet). I shopped their price extensively with other dealers and no one could match it. Then came the paperwork and working out financing. Again, these guys made it effortless. The car was delivered to my office for inspection by me before I gave them a check. When it passed my inspection the car was mine. The next day there was a rattle in the rear. I brought it in and they couldn't do enough. These guys are the best. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Quirk Works was the lowest price, so I had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the dealership and found everything was efficient and no-haggle at the price they agreed to. I have to say, quirk works to screw you over. This dealer was very unpleasant to work with and i did NOT end up buyer a vehicle from them nor will i ever. They told me they would "pay off" what little i owe on my current vehicle which i found out later on was not true at all, they would only pay $2000 BELOW trade in value. They also do not know or do not understand how to do math. The car i was intending on purchasing was priced at $14995 and i had a down payment. By the time we got around to monthly payments it was going to be $486 per month for 60 months. If you figure it out, that's $29160, aka the price of a new car. I have no idea how they came up with this number but they "could not do anything better than that." This dealer works very hard to screw over anybody that walks through the door. DO NOT BUY FROM QUIRK.

We found a great used Subaru at this dealership for a great price. When we drove down to test drive and purchase the vehicle, from the time we were approached by a salesmen, to the time we drove off the lot we felt like we were being sold a lie. i know i wasn't supposed to buy a car if i didn't feel confident, but the price was really good. With a great deal of persuading we took the car to a 3rd party mechanic up the road to inspect the vehicle. we purchased the car with the agreement that quirk would make the changes suggested by the mechanic (nothing big, brake pads and the like). nothing was in writing, but they gave me their word that they would make all the fixes, fill up the gas tank for free and "inspect" the vehicle. i assumed they would keep it. they told me they would fix everything, fill it up with gas, and have it ready in a few days. in the few days between purchasing and picking up the vehicle, i tried calling the dealer ship several times to make sure the fixes would be made. a couple times they hung up on me or transferred me to a dial tone. the other times they were very rude with a "whatever" attitude. when i picked the car up, 1 out of 5 changes were made (supposedly the brake pads) with no record of the change made. i drove my brand new the car off the lot with the gas light on and no inspection sticker! i was so turned off by the sketchy staff that i filled it up on my own and vowed never to go back. later on when i did some maintenance i found out that they didn't even change the brake pads.great brand of car. quirk however has very typical, sketchy salesmen with the worst customer service i have ever encountered while purchasing a vehicle.

I figured I give Quirk Subaru a try.Im glad I did.The sales person was very polite, knowledgeable and helped me without putting any sales presure on me.I leased a Legacy from them. The price was better than the one of the other dealers who was willing to give me a price.I had it serviced twice so far for oil change and then oil and tire rotation. It took less than 30 minutes each time without even an appointment,so for those Subaru owners who are unhappy with your local Subaru dealer in the South Shore,I strongly recommend giving Quirk Subaru service department a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised. They have a shuttle bus that takes you to the T and picks you up when you return from work.
