After choosing Ravenel Ford service department on a whim, I can’t be happier with my experience. They were able to diagnose and repair a fuel leak and ignition coil malfunction on my E250 work van after another shop had created that problem. Being my work van Brian understood i needed my van to do my job so he lined me up with a F150 loaner truck til my van was repaired keeping me employed. About a month now has gone by and the coil they installed unfortunately failed prematurely. I called them this morning explaining i had an fault code P0308, same as before. Even with a higher than normal work load, their service department made time to get my issue resolved same day. My hats off to you guys highly recommend this team of professionals.

Over the course of 15-16 years, we have purchased three Ford Expeditions, two Ford Super Duties, an Escape for our daughter, and last week a 2017 Limited Expedition. My wife upsized from an Audi Q5 back to her favorite SUV. Curtis Bellagante has been our salesperson throughout these purchases. Sales and Service Departments are full of friendly and knowledgeable people. Prices can't be beat and diesel service is great. Over the last 15-16 years, we have purchased three Expeditions, two Ford Super Duties, an Escape for our daughter, and last week a new 2017 Limited Expedition. All vehicles were new except a 2008 F250. My wife wanted to upsize from her Audi Q5 back to her favorite SUV. We have had nothing but great experiences in sales and services. Folks are knowledgeable and friendly. Curtis in sales; Debbie and Brian in service; they can't be beat! Take a ride out to Ravenel, you will be glad you did. My wife and I did a little online research looking for the perfect car for her and settled on a used Honda Civic at Ravenel Ford. It's a bit of a drive out to Ravenel from North Charleston, but the dealership is easily accessible from Savannah Highway. When we got there, we were greeted by Kameron. He was friendly and brought the car around for us to look at. Because the dealership isn't as large as some of the mega-dealers in the area, he asked if we'd mind taking the car for a test drive without him so he could stay back to help other customers. This was perfect and allowed us to discuss the car while we drove without feeling pressured by having a salesman in the car with us.We decided that we liked the car and negotiated with Kameron and the sales manager on a price that we all felt good about. The finance manager, Curtis, was courteous and quickly moved us through the process without any undue delay. At no time did I feel any pressure to buy. I'd definitely recommend Ravenel Ford to friends and family.

This was by-far the best car shopping experience I've ever had! After doing a search for local Ford Fusion Hybrids last week I was contacted by Joe Leopold who told me that Ravenel Ford had just gotten a lovely low-mileage single owner Fusion as a trade in. He shared details about the vehicle and asked if I wanted a private showing of the car before they even listed it. He said they needed to order a part for the car and told me it would be ready for a test drive on Monday or Tuesday. First thing on Tuesday morning I had a call from Shulton Blanding who told me the car was ready and if I asked for him when I arrived he would have the key. When I arrived Mr. Blanding was wrapping things up with another customer but as soon as he was told I was there he came over to greet me personally and to tell me he could be with me in just a few minutes. True to his word, within a few minutes he and I were out test driving the car. He was very helpful and informative without being pushy and when I said I was interested in the car but needed to find out what the payments would be after my trade-in he facilitated the whole process with other staff members and they had all the details for me in a very timely manner. When I told them I needed to think about it overnight, General Manager Dewey Nettles even said he would hold the car for me until the next morning and that he'd call me immediately if anyone else came in and wanted to buy it. The next morning I returned about 10AM and the team had me on the road with my new car (including help syncing my iphone) before noon! Excellent service, no hype or haggling or pressure, a great deal on my trade-in and nothing but respect throughout the process. As a woman who has had very frustrating car buying experiences in the past, I will happily recommend Ravenel Ford to my friends, neighbors and co-workers!

The service I received was excellent from the moment I made the phone call and Shulton answered. I told him I was in West Ashley and I was calling to see if a vehicle that I had seen on-line was still available. He looked it up and told me 'yes', and asked me if I was coming to buy it. I said I was on my way to have a look at it. He said, 'ok, then I will have it out and ready for you to see when you get here.' The moment I stepped foot into the dealership, he gave me his undivided attention and walked me out to the car, which was parked near the door. He went over all the features and allowed me to ask as many questions and look at any part that I wanted to. Never once did he treat me like I was JUST a woman. He acknowledged and complimented me on my ability to know what I was looking for, and indicated his surprise at my diligence in looking the car over. We went for a test drive, and I told him that I would have to discuss it with my brother before I made a decision, so I was going to call him when we get back to the dealership. Once we returned, he politely left the vehicle and went inside to allow me my privacy while talking to my brother on the phone. When he returned, he asked me what was the end result, however there was never any pressure to sell me the car. He was professional, but funny and made the whole process enjoyable. Once I decided that I liked the vehicle, the owner of the dealership allowed Shulton to drive the vehicle into Charleston to have my brother check it out. Every step of the process was a great exchange and the next day I arrived at 11:00a.m. to purchase the vehicle, and was out of the dealership with my car in less than an hour. I have already recommended a friend and will continue to do so. They treated me like royalty!

My experience was a no pressure experience which is very nice when looking for a new car. They gave me top dollar for my trade which allowed me to get in the vehicle I wanted. I was in and out in under 2hrs. Try that at any other dealership! I highly recommend visiting Ravenel Ford, they will give you honest answers and are open to working with you in the finance department. I have also noticed they have some of the lowest prices on the east coast. The truck I purchased was quoted by many car sites to be under priced by $3,000, no other vehicles even came close to this.It is a great feeling to know you are getting a good deal and I will chose Ravenel Ford again on my next purchase. I recently bought a new Ford Super Crew pickup from Ravenel Ford.The salesmen are not pushy.You will not be pressured into any contract. They did not bug me by calling when I left to discuss the purchase with my spouse.They are all friendly and personable. The salesman was professional without any of the objectionable tactics I have experienced at other dealers. The electronics, which can be confusing these days were explained in detail. This is the best experience I've ever had buying a vehicle and I'll be 71 years old in 3 weeks. You can bet if I buy another vehicle, it will be at Ravenel Ford.

DO NOT buy your used car here. I am a 29year old mother of a two year old. I needed a reliable safe car to drive my daughter to and from school. The salesman swore up and down this was the car for me, Not even a week later the car started smoking out the exhaust, causing our whole front yard to fill with smoke. $1200 later the problem wasnt able to be fixed. It was a flood car from Katrina, the mechanic told us.Something that Ravenel conviently left out. I now had to oil in the car every week. Fast forward 4 months and after dropping my daughter off, the car seized. I broke down in the parking lot of another autobody shop. This time it was the entire engine. It is going to cost $3700 to get a new engine. This is all within 9 months!!!!

Last week I made a 3 1/2 hour trip to see a used car on their lot. I was assured that the car was in good shape and worth the trip to consider buying it. When I arrived the car was nasty inside and out. I went to test drive it and before even pulling out of the lot, it was knocking under the hood. The transmission or something was jumping, brakes scrubbing, and honestly I was not sure if it would make it back to the dealership! Wasted gas and 7-8 hour round trip based on their lies! I have since driven several same model and year cars with similar mileage at various dealerships that were all in very good shape. I will be purchasing one of those soon. Used car buyers beware! That car is still for sale on their lot and should be in a junk yard!

I was really surprised about the no haggle pricing. they offered more for my trade which was a 2009 Dodge Ram sport crew. I just purchased a 2011 Ford Ranger from Ravenel Ford. My wife saw the vehicle on-line, we called to make an appointment on a Saturday, and purchased it the same day. Ted, our salesman, was very helpful during the whole process. We quickly reached an agreement regarding the cost of the pickup truck and the trade-in allowance for our car. I returned the next business day to pick up the Ford Ranger, which was clean and filled with gas. The whole process went quite smoothly.

My recent experience with Ravenel Ford. I went and test drove a Nissan Titan they had for sale in the used lot. It was a nice vehicle for the price, during the test drive the TPMS light came on, when I returned I informed them, and they took it to service and made the light go out. I then went back 3 times to negotiate the asking price, well they would not negotiate with my trade or the asking price. I was dealing with salesman Ted Blankenship. I sold my car out right, and I eventually came to their terms and agreed to pay the asking price. During the agreement they informed me I would have to pay sales tax, I informed them that I am active duty military and would be registering the truck in my state of residency, and my state does not require me to pay sales tax. After telling Ted this, he completely disagreed and would not listen to my explanation. I was then transferred to the General Manager, I informed him of my situation and we argued on the phone for 30 minutes about the matter. He stated that since the truck had an open bed, I was not exempt, I asked where I could find this law, and he said he didnt know, and that was their rule. I emailed the SCDMV for there response and this was the first time they had ever heard of that, so it was going to have to go up to the Law Analyst for SC legislature. And made numerous phone calls to confirm I was exempt. Well I really needed a vehicle, and decided I would just go ahead and pay them the $300 sales tax fee. When I went to pick up my new to me truck it was filthy, tank of gas, only 1 ignition key, and the TPMS light was on again. When I asked Ted about these things, he said he would not fill up the truck with gas, it was as clean as they could do, and they only had 1 key for it and no key fobs. They took the truck back to service again for the TMPS, and the service tech explained to me, they had to buy a new sensor and Nissan needed to calibrate it, and thats why the light was on, so I asked how they cleared the light before, and they said they didnt know. I left the dealership and had to go directly across the street to fill it up with gas, when I got home I had to spend the rest of the night cleaning the truck. After a day I noticed the rear backup sonar did not work any more, the cruise control did not work, and after taking the truck to Nissan, 3 out of the 4 TPMS sensors where bad (how did they get the light to turn off at the dealership when first asked?) I understand it was a used truck, but fill it up and clean it After my deposit was made, they called and said they discovered I would not have to pay the sales tax, No apology for me wasting all my time emailing SCDMV and making numerous phone calls, to prove I was correct. Not only was my salesman extremely rude but so was the general manager, I was at awe at the amount they didnt care about the customer. I made a phone call again to the general manager after receiving a email wanting feedback from me, I informed him of everything I listed in this review, and he informed me my expectations were to high. I asked if there was anything the dealership wanted to do to make me a happy customer, the short answer was no! I would never recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle thru this dealership, and I am really confused on how this dealership has high reviews, maybe I was just the bad apple, but I had such a terrible experience I thought I needed to share with others. I will be curious to see a response from the dealership on here....

I had the opportunity to work with two different sales consultants at Ravenel, Charles Curry and Ted Blankenship. I began shopping for a new SUV and originally dealt with Charles. Friendly, knowledgeable, and no high pressure tactics. I found an Expedition on the lot that I really liked, but I still had some shopping to do. Before I could make my decision, I came down with the flu and it was two weeks before I made my decision and returned to Ravenel. As it happened, Charles was off that day and I was helped by Ted. Again, very friendly and knowledgeable and he went out of his way to answer my questions and make the buying process very easy. The credit manager (and I am sorry that I do not remember his name) was very helpful with financing and warranty options. I definitely recommend Ravenel Ford to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. You won't go wrong.

I was actually going to purchase a new 2013 F-150 until I found this 2010 cream puff. This truck had everything I wanted plus some extra options and the best part is I saved over $10K. This truck was very low mileage, very well maintained, and belonged to a non-smoker. How could you go wrong? The best part is if you shop the internet for a new or used Ford vehicle you will find that Ravenel Ford is the only dealer within 100 miles of Charleston that posted the price of the vehicle and includes all the discounts that are available. One website I went to had a great inventory but every vehicle had a box next to the description that read "E-mail for Special Price". That told me that they were just playing games and once they had your email address they would hound you to death. I think most dealerships across the country are of the same mentality that if you walk in and are the least bit uncertain of what you want to purchase their pholosophy is to browbeat you until you buy something. You will not find any high pressure sales gimmicks at Ravenel Ford. Everyone from the General Manager to the detail staff (especially the detail staff) are the most professional bunch of folks you could ever meet. Give them a try and you won't regret it.

I had been looking for a new vehicle for a couple of weeks in the immediate Charleston area. My father suggested that I try looking a little further out. Turns out the kind of car I thought I was looking for was not what I wanted at all. Other dealerships tried to sell me on all the bells and whistles (which are nice) rather than the safety and reliability of a car. I explained to Mr. Curry that I had a small child and needed something that was safe to transport him and something I could depend on. Turns out he had just the car for me...no I cannot turn on the air condition using a touch screen and no I dont have heated seats, but I did save myself a lot of money by not being pushed to have those things and I also have a great car! Thank you to Mr. Curry and the rest of the staff for making this car buying experience such a pleasurable one.

Ravenel Ford is the only Dealership I will let service my vehicle. I've had a LOT of bad experiences with other dealership service departments (i.e. get an oil change and need a major repair within a day or two. Once is a coincidence, more than that is underhanded business.) At Ravenel Ford, they get you in and out with quality work, great customer service, and a friendly smile. Ted Blankenship in the sales department is a great guy. I was shopping for a new F-150, but they didn't have exactly what I was looking for on the lot. Ted found my perfect truck at a dealership in Atlanta and had it on the lot for me to test drive in two days! From there, the purchase process was fantastic. While Chuck set up my financing thru Ford Motor credit, Jim (the resident Sync expert) walked me through the great features with that system, went through the process of connecting my phone to the system, and offered to answer any questions I might have later. I cannot say enough great things about the folks at Ravenel Ford. I encourage anyone shopping for a new or used car, or in need of reliable service to visit them.

Ted Blankenship was great from the moment we walked onto the lot. He wasn't pushy but made himself very accessible. This was a purchase for our daughter's 16th birthday and Ted made it a point to include her in the conversations, which we found to be very astute and respectful. There were a few minor issues with the vehicle where parts had to be ordered, but everything was rectified within a week. Even though the car still has 20K miles left on the manufacturer warranty, it was reassuring to know Ravenel Ford offers its own 1,500 mile/45 day warranty as well. The only negative would be the facilities. The waiting room is small and very out-dated, albeit functional.

This was bar none the best experience that I have ever had on the purchase of a new vehicle. I spent several weeks reviewing websites in the local area and visiting local dealers. I had my heart set on a vehicle at another dealership. The customer service there was terrible. It was almost like I was bothering them for information, correspondence and their time. I left upset knowing I had a check in my pocket for the total cost of the vehicle. No financing needed. I came into Ravenel Ford thinking here I go again. Ted met me, allowed me private time to look around, confer with my husband and make a decision. I still had my heart set on the one at the other dealership. This was the easiest dealership I've ever dealt with. Friendly service, fast service, and the prices are actually what they say they are. There were no hidden fees whatsoever. The only thing we had to pay was to transfer the tags from our trade-in. There were no dealer closing costs, like you find at a lot of other dealerships. Of course, those dealerships won't tell you about those closing costs until just before you sign the loan. And nobody likes a surprise $495 extra cost for "closing" the deal. isn't that their job? None of that at Ravenel Ford. Just friendly, NON-PUSHY, knowledgeable salesman who actually feel more like a friend than a slaesman. I would highly recommend this car company if you're in the market for a new or used car.

We used to be a Toyota vehicle family. My husband's company car is now a Ford Fusion and he loves it. My Toyota truck was recently totaled and we decided to look for a new vehicle. We were impressed by the different Ford models of SUV's and crossovers to choose from. We heard and read about the Ford Edge. So, we decided that if we were going to buy, we'd go to Ravenel Ford. Our experience with buying a new Ford Edge was wonderful, due to the friendliness, no-pushy salesman, honest kind of atmosphere that Ravenel Ford offers. Our salesman was Ted Blankenship and he greeted us and told us to look around, no pressure, if we have any questions, just let him know. We had him locate an Edge with all the features we wanted and we LOVE IT. He was very thorough and easy to work with. Curtis in Finance was very helpful, and we were in and out of his office in no time. Joe the Sync Guy was great. He spent a lot of time showing me the features of the SYNC, setting me up with an online help account, and offered his services at any time if I needed additional hands on help with Sync.I would highly recommend Ravenel Ford to friends and family. If and when we are in the market for another vehicle, we will definitely go back to Ravenel Ford. First Class Dealership!

Good time, good deal, everybody is happy. This experience was totally different from the past. No pressure, lots of knowledge, lots of patience, lots of concern. Tried to buy from them. Wanted to buy from them. Sales staff completely disappeared when I asked for written details of the warranty that they were including on the truck my company needed. Havent heard back from them since, literally. I completely wasted a significant amount of valuable time by considering them in my acquisition process. Should've gone straight to the reputable out of town seller. Lesson learned.

Mr Curry exhibited the courtesy, personality, experienced knowledge and patience which is expected of all car salesman but experienced with only the very few. This was the very first buying experience for my young son, Ben (18 years old) and Mr Curry took his time to explain every facet of the purchasing and financing process. He also explained the importance of periodic vehicle maintenance as well as the importance of establishing a good credit rating thru the finacing of this vehicle.We are very pleased with the entire financing process. The professionalism of the finance officer did not deter his courtesy or friendliness, either.This was the best car-buying experience I have ever had. You can bet I will recommend Ravenel Ford to my friends and reatives.

The best thing about this dealer I like was that there was no back and forth with the numbers that would give you the feeling they are trying to screw you without you really understanding how bad. The price I received on a F150 was one of the lowest I found within 200 miles. Also the price I received for my trade was the max allowed per KBB. It's not like other dealers where they try to low-ball you at first on your trade.They also gave me one-on-one training for the new Ford Sync System. Low price, good trade value, and being straight forward was a breath of fresh air.

Ravenel Ford is an honest, no-nonsense dealership. Their customer service is top notch. They are very knowledgeable and will work with you to get the best deal possible. The first thing I noticed was that when my husband and I arrived on the lot we weren't hounded by eager salesmen. The employees we worked with weren't pushy. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The drive to Ravenel Ford was definitely worth it and I am very happy with my purchase and payment plan.

Charles and Mike were excellent representatives of not only Ravenel Ford but also Ford Motor Company. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the product I was looking for and were able to answer all of my questions on the spot. All the personnel at Ravenel Ford were extremely helpful and polite. I have searched through many dealerships here in the Charleston area and Ravenel Ford had the best prices and service I have found. Excellent job! My only wish is that I were going to be able to live here permanently so I could buy my next truck from them!
