Our AC went outside the Badlands in very hot heat. We spoke with Will who set up a diagnostic but shared (in a straight forward manner) was not sure if they would have the parts needed if the compressor required replacement. When we arrived, Corey did the diagnostic work and miraculously they had the compressor needed. They did the work that day! And we were able to continue on to Montana in a cooled car. They were super nice and felt very well taken care of. Very much appreciated that they were able to assess and fix the car all in the same day. Very professional. Corey even provided a great hike recommendation in Custer state park: Sunday Gulch. Highly recommend Rushmore Honda for service!

Will, in the Service department, provided us with some hope — at least of diagnostic results — over the phone, even though our car-camping CRV was towed to Rushmore’s lot on a busy Friday afternoon (summer vacations, corvette convention, no rental cars to be found). We met with Will upon arrival. No sales pitch, no nonsense — lots of empathic, attentive listening, and then ‘let’s just see.’ We waited comfortably, then heard our options from Will and from his colleague Cory (both master technicians). We opted for the patch-job (new transmission would take a week to arrive). Cory assured us that he would finish the 90-minute job (5.30pm on a Friday, folks). Cue the music: we pulled out of the lot that evening with our same transmission, saving gobs of money and a whole lot of hassle. Hard-working, honest, personable staff — and (for this young female with lots of service-department-suspicion and zero car-speak), excellent communicators. While I’m hoping this was a one-and-done trip to Rushmore, I’d recommend the service department to anyone.

My wife and I have purchased five Hondas between 1982 and today. Of the Four Dealerships we have used Rushmore Honda stands out as the Best. Rushmore Honda, Rapid City SD, Aberdeen Honda, Aberdeen WA, Largo Honda, Key Largo, FL, Atrium Way Honda, Green Caste, PA. Though we have driven other cars for our employment, Honda has provided the most consistent quallity and longevity. Three of the five vehicular have exceeded 200,000 miles, one more than doubled that. One was stolen, some beside me likes Hondas, one did not suit our needs. The one that did not suit our needs, the Dealership purchased back from us at a Fair Price. Superior Automobile, Excellent Dealership.

We were on a cross country road trip when we started experiencing some unexpected vehicle issues. Called to see if they could take a look at the vehicle when we got to town. From the first interaction over the phone to the last interaction while closing out our bill, the customer service was impeccable. Their work was thorough and timely. We brought our 2008 Ridgeline for the 100,000 recommended servicing.John the service manager reviewed what was scheduled to be worked on and the estimated charges. Since this was an all day job, we were provided with a new loaner car. John call us later that afternoon with some minor problems that the mechanic noticed, asking us if we wanted to do the work. The final cost was just what we were told to expect.John was very courteous and knowledgeable, we love working with him whenever we have our car serviced.Our daughter was so impressed, she has said that whenever she buys her next car, she'll get it from Rushmore Honda.

I went into Rushmore Honda to look at a Tacoma, but it had to many miles on it. Jonny Sime came out to help me and tell me more about the truck. He suggested the Ridgeline to look at but it was more than I wanted to spend. I took it for a ride anyway and loved the way it rode. I bought it and took it to Minnesota for its first trip and it worked out better than I would have thought. The trunk area was a great life saver being I was traveling with a handicapped mother and 2 dogs. Had places to put everything. Love my truck. Need to get a cover for it now and it will be great. Thanks Jonny!!!You did a great job. Thanks to everyone else involved also. Everything ran so smooth.

Miss. Peters was very personable and knowledge about the cars on the lot. My husband and I had visited with her on several occasions before I made up my mind on what I wanted. She was very good at going over what the vehicle has to offer and what Honda has to offer. I will be recommending her to every one I know or hear say they are buying a vehicle.Chad was not so clear with his explanations. He didn't answer questions so we understood. He made us feel rushed through that part of our sale.

Started out just "looking". The first sales person pretty much pointed to a bunch of cars and told me to go look at them. He never came out to talk about them or ask any questions. I went in to tell them how unhappy I was about the experience. Melissa Peters came to me and listened to me. She went hunting for the car I was looking for. I'll start out by saying that I enjoyed purchasing my new Honda CRV 2016 with the assistance and guidance of my Sales Manager Melissa Peters. Melissa was very patient and knowledgeable during the entire process. I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone purchasing a vehicle at Rushmore Honda.My plans changed during the time I spent at the dealer with Melissa. She helped me make a good decision in the process with a smile. The only negative remark I will make is during the final paperwork time at the end of the deal with the financial staff manager, was not good. He forced an extended warranty on me without actually telling me how much it would cost. When he stated my warranty being 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, I commented that that was great and that all cars I have purchased previously basically came with a 3 yr/ 36,000 miles warranty. He chose not to tell me that it cost was $3000.00. I signed the paperwork thinking what a great warranty Honda has.After I got home I looked over the paperwork of the sale to find that the warranty cost me 3000.00 and was the highest choice of three to choose from. I did choose after the fact to keep the warranty as is which I believe could benefit me, but felt slighted that I was given this choice by the financial manager as his choice without being told the cost verbally.With this action, I did learn a lesson, however, if I ever return to this dealer, I would not recommend his tactics in choosing the highest paid warranty without telling me the cost and choosing the highet warranty level. I could have returned the vehicle the next day regarding his poor judgement and tactics, but did choose to keep the warranty as is. Not an honest person.

For the first time in my adult life, I needed to make a deal and purchase a vehicle all on my own. Rushmore Honda made it fair and easy. I had two fairly decent vehicles to trade in and I knew which used car I wanted from Rushmore Honda prior to showing up at the dealership. I contacted Rushmore Honda online first, and then was able to go in at my convenience and do a test-drive etc. I had nightmares about how this would go and worried that it would be a bad experience circa 1988 and it was nothing like I thought. I got a fair trade deal and I love my new-to-me car. I'll go back when it's time for a different vehicle for sure!

These guys don't try and slip anything by you through the whole process. Also Hondas certified program has to be one of the best out of all the major manufacturers. I'm very impressed with everything start to finish with everything they did for me. I felt no pressure at anytime to sign the dotted line and buy. Even if I don't stay in Rapid, I'll definitely stay in the Honda family.

Rushmore Honda provides a great choice of vehicles for a reasonable price. I believe that Rushmore has the best interest of their customers in mind and sells all of their vehicles in good faith. Just like any car dealership, there seems to be staff that are phenomenal along with staff that have no place in customer service. We were fortunate enough to work with Ryan, who is truly outstanding. Being that Ryan is so new to the cars sales "game" he seemed more honest and personable than any other car salesmen. We could tell that Ryan really gave his best effort in every step of the car buying process, which was nothing like we have ever witnessed. On the contrary, when the management undervalues your trade, be prepared to get a condescending manager berate you for even questioning his evaluation. The sales manager "Kim" is a brash type of individual that I would recommend avoiding. Kim clearly cares very much about Rushmore Honda, though we almost didnt buy our $30,000 truck just because of his apathetic disregard for customers. It was only due to Ryans respectful helpfulness that influenced us to return and buy our vehicle. In summary, Rushmore Honda does not sell only Honda's and can provide you an outstanding vehicle no matter your price range. If you have a choice on who to find for a salesman, find Ryan, he will not let you down. As far as the rest of the staff that you may come into contact with, I would say that are pretty standard for a car dealership.

I had been researching the new Ridgeline for several months online. I stopped in at Rushmore Honda and met with Mel Swanson to express my interest. Mel kept me well informed via emails and phone calls when I could expect to see the new Ridgeline. If Mel would not have been so committed I would not have my new Ridgeline today as there were several other interested people looking at the same vehicle. Bought a used Honda. Mel did a great job, we have bought from him in the past. Would not have bought at Rushmore Honda had Mel not been there helping. as the offer on the trade in was very low in my opinion.Only complaint is the inside smells like smoke now that I've driven it a bit. I've tried air fresheners and washed and re-washed everything. Did not expect this from a Certified Honda. Probably not buy Certified again because of this.

Jonathan was thorough, helpful, friendly, and listened to our requests. We could not have been happier with his attentiveness to our wishes. Terry, on the other hand, dealt with us in a condescending manner and, while he knew we were not pleased, he made no effort to accommodate our wishes. In retrospect, we should not have completed the deal. The sales strategy of the salesman having to check with a manager (or someone else) on the financial part of the deal really sets up the car buying experience to be a negative one when it should be a fun and exciting time. Rather, in our case, we were finally just worn down enough to want the experience over.

My wife and I purchased a Honda Odyssey from Mel Swanson. He was very very approachable and best of all he was not pushy. He went the extra mile and also gave us some great information and recommendations for our family vacation that weekend in Rapid City. I would high recommend anyone to this dealership, as it was the most pleasant experience we've had buying a car. The biggest turnoff for me is when a dealership tries to lowball you on a trade-in price for your vehicle. They came back with a more than fair offer, so I didn't have to hassle them on price. When a dealership doesn't offer a fair price, I will just walk out the door. The entire staff was easy to work with. We will definitely be back!

Rushmore Honda will be my go-to place for service and sales from here on out; they made a terrible situation the absolute best experience. I purchased a 2013 Pilot in October (NOT from RH) that suddenly decided to stop accelerating at particularly dangerous times. I used the "ask a tech" feature on the website first and communicated with Beth, who gave me some ideas of the problem and offered to get me in immediately. Matt, one of the techs, sat in on a test drive with me to get a sense of the issue. My poor Pilot needed an entire day of diagnosis, so RH's courtesy drivers (Don and James) kindly ferried my friend and me to my doctor's appointment and then to lunch/the mall to wait out the results. When we discovered the truck needed a new transmission--and I was supposed to be taking the truck to Colorado in mere days--Jacob not only rushed the order, but scheduled my truck immediately so it was ready for the trip. While the truck was in the shop, they loaned me a Honda Civic, no cost. Everyone was friendly, accessible, and communicative about the status of my truck. The quality of service was outstanding and I'll be a client for life.

We have visited a LOT of dealerships over the years, but Rushmore Honda service center is hands down the BEST experience that we have ever had. We were travelling across country from Virginia to Washington, and simply needed a licence plate holder since our temporary tag on our newly purchased (from worse dealer ever in Virginia) Odyssey was falling off. We pulled into a parking spot so my husband could go in to purchase the holder and some additional screws. Before he could get out of the car, a service person came to us to see what he could help us with....we were in complete AWE! And then the next 15 minutes from there just got better...almost beyond belief that this type of personalized service even still existed!!!! I apologize that I do not remember the names of the multiple people that helped us get a license plate cover, screws, and a new lightbulb for map light....(all simple things we had asked our "home" dealership for at time of purchase and never received)...and for free of charge. We seriously thought we had maybe had an accident and gone to heaven it was such an out of body experience, WOW!!!! And, it did not stop there....when our brakes overheated in the Tetons, my husband called Rushmore Honda for advice...and instead of laughing at our ignorance to driving mountains, they simply told us what to do and what to watch for in regards to possible brake damage. We will always proudly drive our Odyssey with ILOVEMYHONDA and RUSHMORE HONDA license plate holder...we truly hope that it brings you lots of business because you deserve it!! You not only restored our trust in dealerships...but made us think about moving to South Dakota too! THANK YOU!!!!!!

This made it very easy to get plates, as if I worked it I would only get temps until I got back to Alaska this summer, they interceded as the dealer and I got my plates and registration in the mail in a timely manner, they arrived the day we left on vacation. A very quick and smooth process, love the CRV. Almost time for the first oil change.

I want to first start off this review by saying the salesman I worked with, Ryan Jones was the most friendly and helpful car salesman I've ever worked with. Although this was my first experience purchasing a car myself I had met my fair share of slimy salesman before I made my way to Rushmore Honda. Ryan was honest and patient in my decision making process and was in no way shady or pushy as I chose the vehicle I wanted quickly. I was wanting to finance through the dealership and specifically dealt with Josh Quigley. Soon after finding out there had been some miscommunication with the warranty that came with the certified pre owned vehicle, Josh and I discussed what the warranty actually entailed and I chose to read the paperwork more carefully. At that point Josh seemed very annoyed and told me "this isn't going to work", referring to the paperwork then said "don't read the paperwork just sign" pointing his pen to the lines that needed my signature. This was not only appalling because as a finance director you should want your clients to be completely aware of what they're signing but also concerning because he'd be handling a legally binding contract. I tried to ignore his attitude towards my new found worry that shadowed my excitement as I hastily went through the paper work with more concern than I had started with while also being told he'd have an interest rate at 3.2 percent (what my bank quoted me) the next day. The interest rate he came back to me with the following morning was double that and wasn't from either bank we discussed let alone my own which he never mentioned contacting, I chose to do that myself. Now, I hadn't financed any vehicle prier to this, maybe I should have known financing through a dealership wasn't a good idea however, the way he went about the whole finance process, before and after I decided to go through my own bank was unprofessional. Josh was disrespectful to myself and my friend who was with me while I was in his office going over the contract as he repeatedly told me to do all the things a finance director wouldn't dream of, mind you, it was the end of the work day on a Wednesday, he should have never rushed me the way he did. Josh was also unprofessional and rude to my loan officer I worked with from my personal bank, being almost childish as she communicated with him that I would no longer be financing with his help. Overall I am in love with my 2014 Honda Civic and very pleased with the customer service Ryan Jones and Steve Michelson gave to me. I would recommend buying a vehicle from Rushmore Honda and may do so again sometime in the future. However, I would refuse to work with Josh Quigley.

Plan to spend the better part of a day here if you bring your vehicle in for service. I brought my Civic in with only two problems that should have only taken 1 hour. I expected completion within an hour, since I had made an appointment.I came back to the Service Dept. two hours and ten minutes later. When I inquired about my car, one of the four service employees in the office went into the shop looking for my car. Five minutes later he came back and informed me that it had been checked out and needed the relay I had identified. The adviser stated the tech had checked it out, and went to lunch without moving the paperwork. He said that it would take 15-20 minutes to install the relay.My wife agreed to wait and went in, telling a woman at the service desk that she would be in the waiting area, and someone could let her know when the Civic was done. At 2:10 pm, my wife was finally told the work was done. But on the paperwork it said the car was done at 1:23 pm, so she sat for 45 minutes waiting for a car that was done. The checkout person stated that they thought my wife had different clothes on so they were looking for someone else. A simple announcement in the waiting area would have seemed logical.My issue is that I was billed for about one hour of work, yet I spent over three hours waiting. I guess I dont understand why there was no sense of urgency to get back to me on this service, or to finish the transaction once we were on site. There were four employees in the service office when I dropped off and picked up my car; I would think one of those could have followed up on my car and called me. I am just glad that I didnt sit in the waiting area for three hours waiting for my car. I feel that I wasted 2 hours of my time needlessly. One problem I could have understood; but the large number of issues on one service is hard to fathom, and indicates to me a lack of customer care from a number of employees.This service appointment was definitely not a pleasant experience. I would recommend using another Honda dealership, or find an independent mechanic that values your time and stresses customer service.

My husband and I were in the market for a new CRV and went to Rushmore Honda to get more information. We were quickly greeted by Nick Thurman, who was very informative and helpful when it came to helping us decide if we wanted to purchase or lease a CRV. He was very friendly, and made sure to get to know us a bit to make sure he was giving us a vehicle that would meet our expectations and needs as a growing family. He was very personable and never came across like a typical 'salesman' that can be found at other dealerships.After deciding to lease a 2016 CRV, we came back to the dealership and worked with Duke as well. Duke was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He helped us compare different vehicles, and gave us all the details on the differences between models. He was willing to crunch numbers and run different scenarios for us multiple times in order for us to get to a number we felt comfortable with going forward. Rushmore Honda and Mel Swanson treated us like they really wanted our business. Mel always returned our phone calls and answered our questions, giving us what we thought a fair trade for our car. We really appreciated him coming in on his day off and helping the transaction go smoothly. The perks of a Honda cap and free car wash coupon were great, too! When we returned the car to complete the "add-ons" that we wanted, the shop manager was very cordial and was able to provide us with a loaner, even on short notice. Having dealt with several car dealerships while looking at the replacement of Jean's 300C we were impressed with the non pressure approach that Jacob used. He showed us the Pilot make options and explained the differences with each. When we had pretty much narrowed it down to the Pilot Elite and were trying to decide if the blue Pilot was the vehicle for us and decided no. Jacob was willing to talk about the various option we might be able to pursue from new order to a possible vehicle trade with another dealer. When that did not work we ordered the new vehicle. Jacob kept us informed during the waiting time and was extremely helpful explain all the functions that were on the vehicle to make sure we were comfortable with all the bells and whistles so to speak. Honestly, a Honda and this dealership were not originally our first choice. We were interested in two Toyota models and only stopped here for comparisons purposes. Our salesman, Jacob, was very low-key, but allowed us to see the fit of the CR-V and Accord. He showed us the used models and told us all the advantages of the Honda line without being pushy. I appreciate that he didn't use dishonest tactics to steer us to a more expensive or new car. Another dealership called me about a Honda Accord in our price range and we found an Accord at Rushmore for comparison purposes. In the end, we bought from Rushmore and Jacob over two other Accord options because they provided us with exceptionally honest service, an extensive warranty, an amazing finance rate provided by Chad, and an Accord that was more affordable and in better condition than the competition. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.

I wasn't planning on walking out of the dealership with a new vehicle the day I bought my Honda. Mel was excellent and walked me through several vehicles we had conversed about over the phone for the previous couple of months. None of the ones I had looked at online worked for our family, but Mel didn't give up on finding us the perfect vehicle. We found the Honda Ridgeline and it was PERFECT! Met and exceeded all my expectations, I couldn't walk away without taking it home. The process for financing was very simple and took very little time. I spent more time finding the right car than I did actually purchasing it. Josh in the Finance Office was cheerful, explained everything to me, and showed me the number break-down for everything I asked about. I recommend going to Rushmore Honda anytime you are looking for a vehicle, whether new or used! So I happened across a vehicle I liked online and gritted my teeth as I sent in the info request form. I got paired up with Joyce and Chad. We were going on a 10 day camping trip of 2000 miles a few days after purchasing the Pilot. Terry, Mel, the service dept & the lady that does the paperwork for car titles were great in getting the Pilot ready to pull our camper. A trailer package had to be added as the 2016 Pilots nor longer came equipped with trailer packages. We had enough time to put 600 miles on the Pilot before hooking it up to our trailer. Thanks for a good experience with Ezra and Kevin - we have been to several other auto businesses in the RC area and not all are good. We just purchased a 2012 Honda CRV. Our car sales professional, Joyce, was the absolute best! She let us test drive several CRVs in different model years. This took a lot of time since we had never driven one before, and wanted to make sure we liked the vehicle we were getting. She stayed after hours, rode with us on our drives, answered our seemingly endless questions, and kept a smile on her face and a great attitude the whole time. She's the best! The other sales staff we met while we were there were friendly, courteous, and helpful. I would recommend this dealership, and especially Joyce, to anyone. It was a great buying experience, and they aren't afraid to go the extra mile. We love the CRV we purchased !

I just bought my second vehicle from this dealership and I will be keeping my business there as often as I can! The dealer I worked with (Jake) has been extremely friendly and helpful while I picked the right vehicle. The main concern of this dealership is to find the customer a car that they love and money is not a factor in this decision! He was not showing me the vehicles that would get them the most money; but the vehicles that he felt were right for me. He was very good at helping me find a vehicle that was practice for my uses.This review might be a touch redundant but I am EXTREMELY impressed with how everything went.I am a life long customer and I recommend this dealership to anyone searching for a pressure free car buying experience!

My only complaint is that the finance department failed to update their records to reflect the April 1st increase in state sales tax from 3% to 4%, resulting in an unanticipated increase of $131. The finance manager, Jason, did provide me with an additional oil change voucher as an apology.

I asked him how can I leave a good feed back about him and he told me that I can leave a good comment on this website and here I am. Very rarely I write review on online, but when I do, I really mean it. I know nothing about cars besides how to drive them and how to change the windshield liquid. The entire process, from first visit and test ride, to trading in not one, but two vehicles, was smooth as silk. I researched prices and trade values prior to arriving at the dealership, and was totally satisfied with both the purchase price of the new Accord and the amount offered as trade for two vehicles.The salesman, Kevin Grover, was highly professional, friendly and easy to deal with. Jason Bonnette is my car salesperson. Ever since I purchased my first vehicle from him one year ago, a Honda 2011 CRV, I became a loyal customer. So, when my sixteen year old daughter needed a car this January, I immediately contacted Jason. Before I arrived for our appointment, Jason was prepared with a selection of cars that met our criteria. The process was easy because he was knowledgeable about the car selections and able to answer any of our questions. The 2011 Ford Fusion we ended up purchasing for my daughter was a smart choice. Jason assured us of that, making the process nothing but pleasurable. I feel like his straightforward/no-nonsense approach is something most car shoppers value. I was very pleased with Rushmore Honda. I traded in my 2004 Honda Accord for a 2010 certified Honda. Jacob Meredith explained the options of 4-5 vehicles that were on the lot that met my first choice which was a black car. But after listening to the information I bought a certified 2010 Honda Accord that was silver. I was treated well with my trade in as I received more than fair value for the trade in. The financing and paperwork was done very quickly. The car I bought was very clean and runs perfectly. I have owned Hondas for most of my life. I run the cars a lot of miles . , , my trade in had 209,000 miles and the Honda before that had 290,000 before I traded it. The car I bought I am sure will run a long time. I have bought 2 used cars at Rushmore Honda and have had no mechanical problems with them. Thank you Rushmore Honda for your service.

I've put off buying a new vehicle for years because of past negative experiences with dealers. Finally, I was determined to buy a van and contacted Rushmore Honda via email. Mel responded with answers and information but wasn't aggressive about the whole process, which would have sent me to another dealer immediately. The deal went smoothly, I felt as though I was treated with polite respect, and I can live with the price I was quoted after a fairly short period of negotiation. The future will tell as to the service part of the equation, but if it's as good as the buying experience I should be very happy.

When I lived in Tucson, AZ, I had my first Honda (Civic). I absolutely loved it but wasn't able to bring it with me to SD at the time. I needed a car here but didn't live where there was a Honda dealer. A couple years ago when my husband and I were in a black ice accident, our truck was totalled. We were now left without a safe vehicle for winter weather.We decided a SUV would be the next vehicle we would like to purchase. I got to choose the vehicle and for me there was no question that I wanted a CR-V. We made an appointment in Rapid with Andy Hamilton. He was the most considerate, courteous, and helpful sales consultant I"ve ever had the privilege to work with. There was no pressure (important to me)- the vehicle certainly sold itself! It wasn't easy for them to locate the exact vehicle I wanted, but they did it! Jason Penticoff was very efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend Rushmore Honda to anyone and in particular the men who helped us! We know we will get great service from them in the years to come.

We asked our salesman Andy Hamilton to locate a brown CRV with navigation which they did not have in stock and said we would accept no other colors. Rushmore Honda searched hard and long and had an exchange deal fall through but they kept searching and found what we wanted. The business end was as hassle free as buying a car can be and Andy and the business manager Jason Penticoff were friendly and low pressure. We asked for a change to the financing which Jason agreed to and processed quickly. We live 180 miles from Rushmore Honda so when Andy called and said they had a shortage of techicians and the dealer add on items to our new CRV might not be completed by the agreed upon Saturday pickup that posed a problem. He asked if we could pick it up Monday. I said I would have to take a vacation day and he called back and said that he and Rushmore Honda believed vacation days were valuable and they had found a way to get the work done by Saturday and if it did not get done, Andy would drive the vehicle to us on Monday. That is awesome customer service. I plan to go back to Andy Hamilton and Rushmore Honda in a year and buy a new Ridgeline because of the awesome customer service and fair dealing.

Kevin McKinstry took great care of us! We were headed to Yellowstone when our battery started failing when we stopped at Wall Drug. Called Rushmore Honda because of the positive reviews online about this "Kevin"guy in Service Dept. He worked with John (our Honda service mgr. back in In. ) and we were on the road within an hour with a new battery, replaced under warranty. Had a great vacation as a result of Kevin and Ben Moore who jumped in to do the load test as we were pulling up to the door (almost before we could get out of the car!). I have been coming to this dealership for over three years, ever since the purchase/lease of my Honda Accord. I had a Honda when I was in college and intend to always be a Honda Owner from now on. I leased an Accord from Kevin three years ago and my experience at that time was awesome. The ease of every part of the process, from looking at and driving the vehicles, to weighing the different options and the entire decision making process, all the way to the purchase..... I came in this year to trade my Accord in for a CRV because I wanted the all-wheel drive.Kevin and his associates made the most recent experience just as wonderful...again. They were helpful and courteous and answered all my questions and walked me through the process just as before. The paperwork was ready and the car was ready and there were no hiccups in the entire process. I am so pleased that it was Kevin that first responded to my web search about the Honda Ridgeline. I was wanting to purchase a 4 wheel drive vehicle and the Ridgeline was very appealing to me. Kevin invited me in to test drive one that was on the lot. When I first went in, he was very pleasant. He told me about the features of he Ridgeline, but most important to me, he asked me questions and truly listened to what I was wanting from my new vehicle. The one I first drove was wonderful and I was pretty much sold on it, except I really wasn't wanting black. He notified me later when they received a white unit. I was able to get in to look at he white one, but did not really want to start dealing on it that day, as I had time constraints. Kevin understood and didn't try to pressure me for the sale that day. When I went back in 2 weeks later, it continued to be a very positive experience. Kevin and I looked at some pre-owned Ridgelines they had as well, but I really preferred a new vehicle. It was at that time that Jason became involved and really worked to find me the best financing deal for my needs. I drove away with my new Ridgeline that same day and am absolutely loving it. What a great team! I am looking forward to returning to have my service needs taken care of at Rushmore Honda.

My last car was a 2004 Honda Civic. Never had a speck of trouble with it! So I had a high level of confidence coming in to shop for a new one. We met Mel Swanson. He showed us the Hybrid, encouraged us to drive it, answered all of our questions. He did not push us at all - he could have because it was the only Hybrid on the lot. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, did their job, etc. We have no complaints. But Mel Swanson is the best! He is very personable, relaxed, patient - definitely willing to go the extra mile - like helping me program in my old phone AND my new phone. I am very satisfied - and thrilled to have such a fine car!

Met with Mel and had already decided on the CRV. He let us take it on a short drive and he explained what all the various controls on the dashboard were. Discussed what colors we would prefer and he checked his computer and stated he would be gettinga mountain mist blue in the following week and would give us a call at that time.Mel called in a couple of days and we set up an appointment for Thursday, May 22nd on that date we drove our new CRV home.I appreciated not having any high-pressure sales talk. We felt we received a fair price for our Toyota Camry and all and all we had agood experience.

Trading in my 2012 Honda CRV, for a 2014 CRV. We had exceptional dealings with sales , including Karl the car salesman and the Manager of sales also. We came to and agreement on the price in a timely manner. Rushmore Honda Gave us a loaner when ever possible and Josh squeezed us in for service or repairs when possible, which Being from out of town this was a big help for us in more ways than one. We were originally interested in a used Honda for my commute to work and had narrowed our choices down to a few used Honda's. We were working with Andy as we had dealt with him on an earlier purchase our daughter had made. Andy suggested that a new Civic might be worth our while to look at as they had some good deals right now. We looked at a few, drove one and were impressed - so we selected a model and color and asked for a price.To our surprise it was a good deal and we agreed to purchase the new Civic, Andy & the crew were knowledgeable of their product, were patient during our review process - showed us many different models, did not pressure a decision, they were easy to deal with and closed the deal in a straight forward manner, staying late to finish the paperwork. We got a great car at a good price, followup support and a great service department.

Our experience with Mel Swanson and the Honda dealership was just so easy!!! We had been to some of the other dealerships when we were first planning to buy a car and were always met with the hard sale: "You better buy today, the prices may go up tomorrow!"; "You'll want to look at this other (more expensive and with things we didn't want) model and then you'll see what you need."; and so on and so forth. Then the INCESSANT calls: "Have you made up your mind?"; "What can we do to put you in one of our cars today?" ad nauseum. Mel ASKED us what we were looking for in an SUV and then took us to one that wasn't the most expensive and gave us answers, not sales pitches. He only called once and then when I told him that we were waiting for a property to get sold, he backed off immediately, told us that he would be there for us when we NEEDED him. How refreshing! It certainly made us want to deal with him and waited for a day we knew he would be there. Then, we told him what we wanted to pay and he said he would see what he could do and he DID it; as simple as that. No other haggling. The very nice (and I'm sorry that I don't remember his name) young man from the finance department came and took us into his office and the deal was finished. I want to buy a truck as a surprise for my husband and I know I don't even need to go to any other dealership or salesman. Thank you for the opportunity to be able to tell about our very satisfactory, or really, actually wonderful experience we had buying our new car.

I had a Honda Civic and the Lease wasn't up until Sept. I live in Minnesota right now and I received a letter from the dealership in MN that they were looking for good used vehicle's . I am in the process of moving out to Rapid City in a few months. I happened to go out to Rapid City for a week to visit my son. I went with a very specific car in mind; I was so glad to be shown directly to the car, there was no attempt to hassle me by showing me other cars. The process of test driving and just overall viewing the car was very simple. Karl was super friendly and I never felt like I was being pushed. Karl answered all my questions and showed me everything the car had to offer. His no push and no hassle approach made this a very enjoyable experience. I have owned the same car for many many years and was very nervous to purchase a new vehicle. I was allowed to move forward at my pace and felt welcomed in the office environment. When it came down to decisions I was shown both lease and finance options and all details were explained to me in a manner I could fully understand. Jason the finance guy was very easy to work with when signing the contract and it was quick and painless. The sales manager was also very friendly and continued to meet our needs. The car was taken for a quick detail and I was very satisfied with the cleaning job it received. When I went to pick the car up Karl came out and went over everything inside the manual and help me set up the Bluetooth connection on my phone, set the radio stations and explained all the lights and mechanical indicators on the dash. I also got to inspect every inch of the car to ensure it had no damage. I also received a follow up call three days later to see if I had questions or needed anything. They also recommended a place to have my windows tinted and I was very pleased with the customer service at the tinting shop. I will recommend this dealership and Karl to anyone I know on the market for a new vehicle and I will definitely use their service center for my new cars needs.

This was by far the best used car buying experience I've had. Karl Feiler met me on the lot, I told him what I was looking for and he took me right to it. He gave me the price they wanted right up front. We did the test drive. The car was in excellent condition despite the high mileage.It was clean and had been recently serviced including an oil change recorded on their service dept. wind shield sticker. After the test drive I was given a quote including various financing options and a generous discount because of my veteran status. I told them I would have to wait and think about it. There was no pressure to make a quick decision. After checking the NADA price guides I determined that their offer was more than fair. I returned the next day with my wife and son, met with Karl and we began the paperwork. My family was offered refreshments while we waited. Chad Johnson, the finance mgr., was quick to find us low interest financing. Every one involved at the dealership was friendly, competent, and fair.

He was able to fit us in on very short notice for an oil change and tire rotation on May 13 late in the afternoon. His customer skills are excellent! We were pre-approved for a loan thru Capital One. So, we came in and met with Jake, and he took us out to look at cars. I already had a list as I visited the website before coming in. My top one was the Ford Fusion and I liked it and my husband test drove it. Jake was very helpful with telling us what the car did and had as of features. We went in and Jake got the paperwork going and left. We were then turned over to Chad. We didnt have money for a down payment and Chad was able to get us a deal with 500 down on the 1st and thru Wells Fargo. Which is wonderful because we are rebuilding our credit, and Chad said that we can now established credit with them. He explained everything in great detail and was very friendly. He got approval quickly and talked to us about the deal as well as his life. Wishing him a great wedding and life. I would recommend Rushmore Honda to anyone looking for a great car,good service, and excellent fianacing. Thank you very much. I LOVE MY CAR!!

I've been coming to Rushmore Honda since my first Honda purchase - a used 1997 Accord. I've had my vehicles serviced and maintained here since. Thru the years I've known a few of your employees, and can't ever remember a time that I wasn't treated courteously and efficiently. That's why I keep coming back. My most memorable was a shop foreman. I had brought my car in for maintenance work that required it be there overnight. He provided a car and I had mentioned that I didn't know how I was going to get it cleaned because I needed it the next evening for a work-related outing. I had spent time with grandkids the previous week and it was a mess. When I went to pick it up the next day, he had me in tears I was so grateful. He had detailed the car inside and out, and it was spotless!So, yes, I came to Rushmore Honda when I needed a new vehicle. I'm always nervous about sales people when I'm looking. I don't like to feel pressured, that I have to buy it now. And I was looking into the window of a new CRV in the sales room when I noticed a smiling face in the opposite window. He came around and introduced himself - Andy Hamilton. Asked me what I thought of it. I asked him questions about new features and options. He patiently explained the differences between models, which made it easy for me to determine my choice. He pointed out the features both inside and outside. Asked me my color choice, and had me in the driver's seat and on the road for the test drive. Again, he patiently pointed out the features. I have a 2001 Accord; there are a lot of handy new features on this model that Andy pointed out and explained how to operate. He walked me thru programming the phone as I added my family for quick calls. We went thru the i-MID settings for lights, radio, etc, and then the cruise, the VSA, the EBD, the econo button (how and why to turn off the last two) - everything in the computer and all the controls on the dash. He pretty much had me sold. That's when I met Terry Hillman, who gave me permission to take it home for the evening. However, I was unable to contact my insurance agent for coverage. Andy made sure the vehicle was detailed prior to my possession - twice - the day I signed the papers and the day I picked it up after having it armor coated. And Andy had made certain that the appt scheduled for the armor coating the day of purchase was honored by personally locating a vehicle for me to use when none were available and I would have had to reschedule. He assured me I could stop in any time if I had questions. And Jason Penticoff was also easy to work with. He explained the options for purchasing including the armor coating and extended warranty, maintenance agreement, and remote starter; answered my questions and then gave me time to review the options and make my choices. Both Andy and Jason were courteous and pleasant even when it was way passed time for their day to be done. Andy Hamilton - courteous and calm, pleasant, never rushed, never pressured, gave plenty of time for questions, and responses were knowledgeable and complete, accommodating, and after the sale said he was available in the future if I had questions. And for all those reasons he sold the vehicle. Thanks, Andy. And thanks Rushmore Honda, you have a wonderful family of employees.

I had been car "shopping" most of the day and when I walked into RH, I felt a little deflated. The whole staff was awesome to work with, the were all very informative and helpful. They didn't make me feel like I was their next commision. They made me feel like they truly cared about what I was getting and how it would effect me and my family. There were some issues with the vehicle during and shortly after the purchase that they took care of them without hesitation. The sales team is great. My wife and I walked in and we had an awkward moment where no one helped us for a couple of minutes. Several people walked past us and didn't say a word to us about whether or not we had been helped. We thought we had walked into the wrong building because of the lack of approach. Now no normally its annoying how pushy some sales departments are but thought I would let you know our experience didn't make us feel welcomed. I liked the fact that you gave us a warm dry place to look at the car. Fair price and didn't push any financing options on us like other dealerships have done in the past. Maybe be back in a few years for a car for my wife.

Jason Bonnette was awesome right from the start of my first experience with Rushmore Honda. He was very professional and did not treat my wife and myself at any time in a negative way during our visit. We enjoyed the experience in that we were not told what we like and do not like in a vehicle. In the past, we had sales people tell us that "You will like this feature" and in reality we do not. Jason listen to what we were looking for in a vehicle the first time and he was able to located one as close to the description as possible. Honda really needs to havet Satellite Radios in their vehicles and built in garage door openers in their vehicles.

I occasionally stopped in looking at vehicles and met Duke. He recognized my last name, and said he knew my brother, who has also purchased honda vehicles from him. What I really appreciate about Duke is his no pressure sales approach. He would text me possible vehicles and I could decide if I wanted to take a look at them or not. He also allowed me to test drive the vehicles without going with me every time. Other dealerships don't do always do that and I liked being trusted to do that. Kevin and the rest of the sales staff at Rushmore Honda were great! I wasn't completely sure what I wanted for a vehicle and they helped me find just the right fit. I had emailed back and forth about different options, completed the credit application and when I showed up to test drive they had a few vehicles already ready to go for me with pricing information to lease or purchase. It was nice to see the numbers before I drove the car, so I knew exactly what I was getting in to. The next day I went back to purchase my vehicle and I was in and out in under an hour. I knew what I wanted before I even got to Rushmore Honda. I used their website to view their inventory and picked out which car I wanted. I called to verify the car was still available and was informed by Robert it was. So I gathered all the necessary paperwork to include my loan to the dealership. When I got there I asked for Robert and he met me and took me to the vehicle. We took a test drive and then headed inside to get the paperwork done. Robert took care of all the paperwork and took all the information he needed from me. This all went very fast, both I am sure because I had the necessary paperwork and because Robert knew exactly what he was doing. He then handed me of to JR to finish the finances. JR also knew exactly what needed to be done and was very professional. JR also kept up with me via email about the title paperwork which I received about a week later. Excellent service all around and a great vehicle.

We had purchased a used vehicle through Duke in the summer of 2012 and so when we were in the market for another used car we immediately called to speak with Duke and let him no what our needs were. We received a call a few days later and were informed that Rushmore Honda had a vehicle or two that might meet our critieria. We set up an appointment with Duke and were again very happy that we did.The interesting thing is that the vehicle we thought we would be interested in buying was not the vehicle we left with. Duke showed us several vehicles and types that would meet our needs and when it was all said an done, we decided on a used vehicle that was $4000.00 less than the one we had thought we'd get. NEVER did we receive any pressure or counsel to buy the more expensive vehicle. Negotiations were fair and fast, and within an hour of walking in, we left with a "brand new to us" vehicle. Duke was again an excellent salesman, which really means that he represented us and our needs. Duke and his sales manager truly live up to the reputation that Rushmore Honda seeks to uphold.

From one end of the buying experience to the other, Rushmore Honda was outstanding and I don't say that lightly. Any Hamilton was the primary sales person I dealt with and from just knowing Andy and how friendly he has been when I bring my Honda's in for maintenance it was the reason I felt comfortable asking him for a hand finding a vehicle in the first place. You see my car was totaled by hail and it put me in a place to find a car in a short amount of time. All I had to do was say help and Andy went above and beyond to help match me up with a great car. In reporting to the dealership for a scheduled oil change for my lease 2013 CRV, I visited with Jason to inquire on the possibility of leasing a lower priced vehicle. I am in the process of retiring and am working toward a tighter budget. Jason showed me the Accords and FITs and I chose the FIR for it's Hatchback/Sporty style. He made the trade in process simple and seamless. By the end of the day he had us in the new FIT. It has some hail damage and he made arrangements for the repairs to be done while I am out of town the 1st week of October. We have enjoyed every minute of our driving experience in the FIT. Andy was extremely knowledgeable about the used models and new ones and answered all of our questions quite well.We could have bargained for a lower price but I also know from my own experience selling vehicles that its a difficult business, so I don't begrudge the salesman or dealership for making money, as I know that many car deals aren"t moneymakers. Erick went above and beyond what I expected. He explained in great detail what to expect with buying a car, loans and closing. He gave me examples on how to figure, as close as possible, what my payment may be. I had thought to check prices of various vehicles and move to the next dealership. However, Erick was so friendly, informative and patient I chose to buy my car from Rushmore Honda. He even went so far as to take my car down and have it washed while I finished up paperwork. We had a great experience and an unusual situation where they could have not been honest and made more money off of someone else by selling the vehicle to someone else. They took the high road though, gave us a great price and we got a great vehicle that we are very happy with. We were treated with courtesy and friendliness. Britney had studied the products well and was good at answering our questions and explaining features about which we did not even know enough to ask good questions. We appreciated her modesty and her unassuming attitude. Price is a difficult variable. The price of a new vehicle seems terribly high, so I simply marked OK. Paying that much money for a car is not a happy thought.

Very friendly and I never once felt pressured into buying. Andy went out of his way to find a car to fit our needs. He went out of his way to get us the color of car we wanted. Immediately returned phone calls with any questions we had. Likewise with the financial end. They explained their extended warranty and all the other package options but I never felt pressured into adding anything.

I visited Rushmore Honda to look for a van, and ended up purchasing a vehicle that same day due to the friendliness and knowledge of the staff members I worked with. I have never purchased a car by myself, and they made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Tony was knowledgeable about inventory within my price range, and encouraged me to consider several different models based on features I was interested in. Tony was also able to get me an above average amount for my trade-in, which I was very impressed with. JR helped me with financing. Best product/value in our opinion. We had the time /$/flexibility to visit literally every new car dealership in Rapid City and check out/test drive dozens of vehicles. Only one other was a pleasant experience, a couple others OK, & the rest not much fun to just plain bad. Had a great experience working with Jake in this purchase. We went out while it was snowing to search for a new vehicle and were prepared. We knew what our financial limits were and presented these to Jake who took over from there. He showed us the choices he was able to provide and then went for test drives. He pointed out the pluses and minuses of the vehicles let us make the choice. Jake was very clear and to the point with both vehicles. When we called him the next day to tell him our decision he did all he said he would to have our car ready to be picked up the next day. I don't like to go from dealership to dealership and Jake kept us from having to do that.. Very pleasant and personable sales rep and will definately look to Rushmore Honda for potential future purchases.

I stopped in and told Jake what I was looking for. It wasn't on the lot but he searched and found exactly what I wanted. He wasn't fakey or slimey. He treated me as an intelligent car buyer, which I am, of course :), but he didn't try to talk me into things I didn't want or need. He listened. I got exactly what I wanted. Kevin was able to find the perfect vehicle for me. I was looking for a used Ridgeline with specific requirements(color, mileage, etc). Although they did not have exactly what I was looking for on the lot at the time, Kevin did not try to push me into something that was immediately available. He took my name and number and told me he would contact me if something fitting my requirements became available. He wasn't overly aggressive and I felt very comfortable in my dealings with him. Within a couple of weeks, Kevin contacted me about a vehicle he thought might interest me. I stopped in at Rushmore to look at it and it was exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the vehicle that day. Kevin was very helpful throughout the entire process. He took his time reviewing and explaining the features to me. I will definitely check back with Kevin the next time I am in the market for a vehicle. I have purchased quite a few vehicles over the years, and I can honestly say, this was the best experience I have had. I recommended Kevin to a co-worker of mine who also had a great experience. I will continue to recommend him to friends and family who are in the market for a new or used vehicle. Rushmore Honda has a nice selection and if they dont have what youre looking for on the lot, let them know. It worked out great for me.

When looking for a used car, Kevin helped by carefully going over the different makes and models available. After test driving a few, he helped me get into a nice and very clean Subaru with low miles. This was a great choice for me, and the Suby's All Wheel Drive does really well here in the Black Hills. Kevin suggested that I consider adding an extended warranty to the deal, and I ended up buying one. Even though I have not had any major problems with this vehicle, I always take the 'Suby' back to Rushmore Honda for service. Their Quick Lube and Service teams are always helpful. The next time I'm looking for a car, Rushmore Honda will be my first stop.

Jake Meredith was a great salesman to work with. We purchased an Odyssey Touring Elite with lots of electrical gadgets. Jake spent time before we got there to learn as much about the systems as possible and spent several hours during the process explaining some of the features and how to operate them. We are retired and aren't as techy as the younger crowd, and he spent the time required to teach us. JR Mckee was very friendly and pleasant to work with on the financial part of the transaction. I will recommend this dealership to friends.

I started shopping at my local Dealer in Montana to trade my Honda Crosstour for another Honda Crosstour. I felt the pricing was a bit on the high side so continued my shopping as I traveled through South Dakota for work. When I arrived at Rushmore Honda I was greeted by Joey Parks and a pleasant surprise, "he wanted my business" and was willing to earn it. Joey Parks not only understood the product line but understood my needs and wants from both a car stand point and a money stand point. I continued shopping through to Sioux Falls and there I was treated like an "out of state person just kicking tires"! I called Joey from that dealership, confirmed our deal and picked the car up on the way back home. I would recommend Joey and this dealership to anyone in the market for a vehicle. I now service the vehicle when traveling through Rapid City at Rushmore Honda. It would be nice if I could get that same pricing from my local Dealer but the 7 hour drive is worth it to deal with Rushmore Honda.

I first met Joey in March 2012. I spent 7 months and multiple test drives before pulling the trigger on the purchase of my 3rd Honda Accord. Joey was patient, kept me apprised as to what was available and any deals that might be available. I even test drove non-Honda and came back to the Accord. Joey made sure I was well versed on the new features and followed up to be sure I had no additional questions. I felt Joey was an excellent contact. He took all my pricing requests to Terry Hillman and between the 3 of us we came to agreement on pricing I could live with. I am pleased to say that I am 7000 plus miles into my 3rd Accord and I love every mile of it. My first Accord had 216,000 miles on it when it was destroyed in an accident. My second Accord had 265,000 miles and is still going strong. With that said, my goal for Accord number 3 is 300,000. Thanks Joey. Thanks Terry.
