We visited this dealership twice, making a purchase on 2nd visit (4/27/16), a 2009 Chevy Silverado. We were/are very impressed with the dealership overall, and especially Norm Lotz who was our sales person. Norm spent over three hours after we decided to purchase the 2009 truck, never pressured us, made his goal 100% customer satisfaction, didn't rush us with the paperwork, we were so pleased with everything when we left. This morning we noticed the truck we purchased was advertised online for $400 less than we paid and communicated the same to Norm. Within an hour, Norm responded, he didn't know the truck was going to be priced lower today (and he does not work on commission either!). He and the dealership agreed to send back that $400 including the sales tax. We were very impressed before finding out about the $400 return! We went back for the second time because my husband was so impressed at the first visit. Now a day later, the feeling of honesty from them has more than doubled, and the integrity of the dealership and Norm has more than reinforced how positive we felt at the first visit. They are amazing and we are so very happy with our "new" truck! We are beaming!

I live three hours away from Schafer. Yet they delivered a used car to me for a test drive and inspection at a local repair shop. I sent back my deposit and drove over the next weekend to finalize the deal. Was in and out under 30 minutes, and their financing was better than my own credit union. Saved thousands on just the purchase price of my car.

Tiffany was very good at answering any question I had. She was prompt and nice. Great customer service. I also love that they bring the car to you if needed. I live almost 2 hours away and they brought the vehicle I wanted to test drive right to me. They also brought it back to me when I purchased it. As far as quality of car, I don't know yet, just got it, but hope it's 5 stars!!

I worked with Kim on a used vehicle. Kim was professional and very easy to work with. She followed up with all of my questions and concerns. She even did a walk around of the vehicle before I looked at it highlighting anything of concern. I will definitely work with Kim again and she certainly earned my business! I found myself in a pickle with my car breaking down so I decided to go looking...I discovered that schafer chevy had about 4 cars on the lot that I was interested in so we made the 1.5 hour trip there to check it out... I had a great expierence with our salesmen Dan D. he was amazing to work with and had us set to go in a matter of 45 minutes! we did bring our own financing which was a smudge tricky but nothing major we just had to wait a few days for that to all process... overall a great expierence the only issue I had with the whole process was that when I finally did go pick up my car the day the deal was finished the tank was on E I thought for sure they would at least put a little gas in it was a bit disappointed that I had to get gas before even leaving pinconning...

Bought a used car with Kim's help. She was informative, relaxed, and genuine - very easy to talk to. The car had over 100,000 miles on it, but Kim still made sure the car was cleaned very well for us and made sure the tires were balanced since I had felt some vibrations during the test ride. No pressure at all from Kim. I liked that I didn't have to haggle and play the game of waiting for her to speak to the manager - the price we saw was the price we paid, so we were all finished with everything in about an hour and a half.

I was in the market for a Honda Ridgeline and Schafer had what i was looking for. I worked with Norman on the Sales front and he did a nice job working with me complete this deal. The vehicle had a over 100,000 miles and was sold as is. It had a vibration that we thought was probably tires, and I knew tires would need to be replaced regardless. While that was the most logical answer, I was not confident enough to lay out that kind of money on "probably", when it could be more serious. Norm and the guys in the shop worked with me to try a few things to conclude that the vibration was in fact the tires. I went in with my own financing lined up from my bank, and with a very good credit score I figure that I had a competitive rate. Jared shopped this form me and got me a rate that was over 4 point better! Thanks Jared for saving me significant money.

i Just bought a truck from Schafer Chevy and I was very pleased with there service. I live 4 hours away and they brought the truck to me for a test drive since I didn't have the time to drive to their dealership. the Sales person I worked with Norm looked over the truck for me since I wasn't able to see it in person and sent me pictures of anything on the truck I had questions about he even checked the tire tread for me. Norm made buying the truck very easy for me considering how far away I live.

I want to shout from the rooftop how happy I am with our service that we received from Brie at Schafer Chevrolet!! I work in customer service myself and find it very rare to receive EXCEPTIONAL customer service! I am so glad it was her who answered my call on that day to get me the vehicle of my dreams! Not only are the prices the lowest that you will find this was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had! We live quite a distance from the dealership and when I told her it was going to be difficult to get there with my husband for a test drive during business hours she offered to have someone bring me the vehicle! I called Schafer on a 2010 Ford Explorer . I asked to talk with a salesman . After inquiring he said the vehicle might have a deposit on it , he wasn't sure . He told me he would check and call me right back . Never heard from him again . This is the 2nd time someone was supposed to call me back . Maybe Shafer should hire me . I am an appliance salesman and do very well and have a lot of satisfied customers . I could probably sell 10 times as many vehicles as their salesman do . They apparently don't know how to do their job correctly .

Drove several hours to test drive a vehicle, we called before hand to make sure the vehicle was still available, when we arrived they said they couldn't help us unless we knew who we talked to in the phone, then they didn't know where the vehicle was, then they couldn't find the keys. We were finally able to take the vehicle for a test drive, the salesman couldn't answer any questions about the vehicle like what the engine size was or if it was AWD, we asked what other vehicles were available that were similar to that one and instead of showing us what was on the lot he said he liked to do it the easy way and pulled them up on his computer even though the first 3 didn't have pictures and he wasn't sure if they were even on the premises yet. We told him we were interested in the vehicle we test drove and had cash and made an offer, his response was, that's not how we do business here, we then asked what the final price out the door would be he told us and then said but you can't take it today, we don't do same day sales, that's not how we do business here. It was a waste of time and one of the worst displays of customer service I've ever witnessed, we'll gladly take our cash purchase somewhere else.

I FOUND THIS DEALERSHIP, extremely cheap! I Bought a 2010 BMC Sierra pick-up. Dan was my salesman. Dan was nice and personable. The dealership WOULD NOT MOVE ON PRICE, even a few dollars to make a deal. I folded, and ended up buying the truck anyways. Dan & I agreed that because I had to pay full price, that this truck better be cleaned properly (detailed) Inside & out. He also told me that he had to put alittle gas in it for me, I chuckled and said, for what I had to pay for it, it should be topped off. I picked up my truck, and noticed that NO WAY COULD ANYONE HAVE CLEANED THE INSIDE, let alone anything this else. It was rainy the day I picked it up so I won't even mention the outside (pass). I started down the road to go home (about 2 hours away) only to find LESS THAN A HALF A TANK OF GAS. I have NEVER picked up a vehicle, new or used, without a full tank of gas. Id managers of this dealership are reading this, BAD BUISNESS DECISION ON YOUR PART. I won't be back! HOPE THE FEW BUCKS YOU SAVED WAS WORTH IT!

THANK YOU TIM! I found myself in that dreaded spot of needing new transportation fast. I knew what I was looking for and had traveled hundreds of miles looking for that perfect used Trailblazer. I could write a reality show on every thing that occurred in my quest until I called Tim at Schafer. WOW This was the place. The dealership I had purchased my last few cars from had closed and all thou there are many dealerships between Brighton and Pinconning. It just didn't seem to have the right feel to me. You brought the vehicle to me for a test drive, which saved me hours in my very busy life. Thank you again Tim for all you did. I had some questions about the selling process so I called Schafer. I talked to Kim for a bit and decided to head there to look around. When I got there she had all the cars in the lot that was in my asking price range printed off and waiting for me. She was extremely helpful and found a vehicle that was perfect for me. Hopefully Schafer Chevrolet comes through on the customer service required for someone that has purchased a vehicle from them and is having issues right away. I purchased a vehicle two weeks ago, and have been driving it for a few hundred miles and I am now visibly leaking fluid. We are in the process of trying to come to a solution but I am being informed that since these issues are not covered under their warranty of 6mo/6 thousand miles, they will "try and help me out but they don't make new vehicles out of used vehicles sold at a used price." Keep in mind that I paid over 10K for my vehicle. I dont know what the resolution will be yet. I will update my comments after this process. This has also been posted to ggogle reviews.

we found a suv on line and talked to dan to fill out our credit report and he wisked it through within a matter of minutes he stayed later for us and was ready for our test drive when we got there. the suv was all that he said it was and we were really pleased with Schafer Chevrolet, and would recommend that dealership to all our friends

I was looking for a used truck and found it there and also was pre-approved for a loan with someone else.. . We drove 5 hours to look when we get their to test drive, they had the vehicle but was dirty and had sand all over the seats and floor, but still tested drove it and only a short drive due to fuel light came on. After returning it and checking it out, it had a issue and the salesman said they would check it out. I called Monday to see what came of the issue and was told they couldn't fix it due to no money for this vehicle after a couple of calls. vehicle wasn't really touch or cleaned out like they said would be done and looking the vehicle over again, found more issues with it and they still didn't want to fix the problems. . As of today, they said they wouldn't fix but didn't, Very disappointed that this is even listed as a Chevy Dealership, it was a joke! They said one thing but don't follow through with it.

After dealing with other dealerships for a month, we finally made the trip to Schafers after seeing some of their listings online. We dealt with Eric and had the best experience. We looked at 4 different vehicles, test drove 2 and even changed our mind on which one we wanted at the last minute when paperwork had already started being filled out. Eric was very friendly and easy to work with the entire time; not pushy in any way whatsoever. After the first couple vehicles we looked at didn't work out, Eric's service was why we kept looking at Schafer's, it was a pleasant experience. We will definitely be returning and working with Eric for any purchases in the future and recommending to family and friends.

I was looking for a used truck and found it there and also was pre-approved for a loan with someone else.. But they didn't want to lower it($1,700) to get a sell. When I got there, they couldn't find the vehicle at first, because someone from there was driving it...but found it and it was dirty and had sand all over the seats and floor, but still tested drove it and only a short drive due to fuel light came on. I showed up Tuesday to see what we could come up with...vehicle wasn't really touch or cleaned out like they said would be done and looking the vehicle over again..found more issues with it and they still didn't want to fix the problems. So they said if you go with their bank with a higher % rate and buy GAP for it, that they would try to fix it as long as it wasn't a lot of $$$ to fix it. They get a % of extra stuff you buy from them, so they were trying to collect more money to offset the repairs. I went to another dealer in my area that just put a similar vehicle on their lot and drove away with it and I love it. See the local dealer was willing to work with me and YES I got it lower then this dealer wanted for their and that is why their vehicle is still sitting on their lot after 40 some days. They also was basically saying that I wouldn't get much for my trade in and I got a good deal with the local dealer on my trade in. I gave them a out the door quote, which I said was only like $1700 lower then they were asking, but no deal and I even said I would fix the issues myself. As of today, I see that they have lowered the price twice since I started talking to them. I really did want their truck, but they didn't want to work with me.... so I went somewhere else.

I just accepted a new job which requires alot of driving so I needed to find a vehicle to better fit my needs. My husband and I stopped at a couple dealerships and then we drove to Schafer's dealership because of a vehicle i seen on their website. We spent over a month looker for a new, larger car for our family. Despite countless trips to various dealers, Kim and Schafer were by far our favorite. We were looking for a used car with a very strict budget and needed to find a car we knew would last us. Kim provided a stress free experience. I test drove several cars, and left several times with no vehicle, but never felt pressured. Every time something in our target showed up, Kim would let us know and to make time to show us the vehicle. We ended up finding an amazing used Equinox with low mileage that was exactly what we were looking for. They even drove the car our mechanic so that we would have extra piece of mind before purchasing. I look forward to replacing another of our old cars in the spring. Thanks Kim!

My vehicle was recently totaled and I needed a reliable vehicle fast. I found a great price on a Chrysler 300. I called and started the process of getting pre approved. The salesman I spoke to got with the financial department and got my information wrong. I was told I had ZERO credit and did not qualify. I requested to speak with someone from the financial department and they sent me to speak with Steve. Steve informed me that the salesman was incorrect and that I do have credit but I still don't qualify (I was already pre approved for the loan through another dealer.) I told him that I was already pre approved and found out that he had gotten my info wrong. When asked to fix the mistakes I was told "Theres nothing he could do and I dont know what to tell you". after asking again to have the mistakes fixed I was hung up on. Steve then called back PRETENDING TO BE SOMEONE ELSE. I ended up going with another dealer who got my info right and I was in my new car in no time.

In July I bought a used 2004 F150 in which Kim was very upfront with me that there were things to be repaired which I found when looking at other dealerships were not the case. They tried making a sell anyway they could. Kim worked with me over the weekend and said to me and my wife that she was not looking for a sale, but looking to make us a happy customer. After looking for years we had found our vehicle and our dealership we will continue to do business for years to come despite it being close to a 2 hour drive. Very top notch facility and staff and I appreciate the delivery of the F150 to my home.

I have been looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife and I. I found one online at Schafer Chevrolet which is approximately 4 hours from my home in Elkhart, IN. I spoke with Jared Kuchek on the phone about the vehicle and after speaking with him my wife and I decided to make the 4 hour trip. We were very pleased to find that the Jeep was exactly as Jared described unlike some of the other dealerships we have visited in our search I arrived later than expected and Jared stayed late so my wife and I wouldn't have to make another trip. We completed all the paper work that we could but it needed to be processed which had to be done another day as I arrived late. So, the dealership let me drive the Jeep home and sent an employee to our house, keep in mind we live 4 hours away, and let us complete the paperwork at our home. In short, Jared Kuchek and Schafer Chevrolet=Top Notch Service. I would recommend Jared Kuchek and Schafer Chevrolet to our family and friends, it's worth the drive and I will look here again when ready to purchase another vehicle. Thanks guys!!

I called Schafers on a thursday night to inquire about a car I saw online, I was connected to Kim Bartys, she answered all my questions and said she would get to be the next day, she did just as she said, and by Friday afternoon I was driving my dream car! Yes, it was that easy! After checking out a few different dealerships I ended up at Schafer and worked with Eric Steward. He was absolutely amazing at trying to help me find a car that would work with my budget but was safe for my family. I never once felt pressured into buying anything. I just recently went back again to lease an Equinox for my husband and went back to Eric. Due to my crazy work hours and having 2 little ones Eric helped me do everything over the phone. He was even willing to help on the weekends! He answered all of my questions even if I asked them a million times. He was once again willing to do whatever he could to help me find a car that fit in my budget without pressuring me into anything. We purchased a 2010 F-150 from Schafer. Norm Lotz handled the transaction and it was a very easy and straight forward process. The truck was exactly as they listed it on their site. We live 100 miles away so Norm did a walk around video of the truck so we could see for ourselves the condition before driving up to do a deal. Everything was laid out to us in simple terms with no pressure and the vehicle was ready and waiting for us to pick it up when we returned to complete the purchase. A much happier experience than most i have had at a car dealer. I would recommend Norm to anyone looking for a pleasant car buying experience.

Thoughts of buying a used vehicle always come with questions, "Am I buying someone else's problems?", "Am I getting the best price for the condition and mileage", "Is the dealership a better choice than buying from an owner?". Well, we all have our reservations when buying a big ticket item such as a vehicle, and researching your options is always a great idea. However, I can tell anyone that is interested in buying a used vehicle that all of the hassle was completely dissolved after walking through the doors of Schafer Chevy in Pinconning. Our Sales Associate, Kim Bartys, not only made the shopping experience pleasent, but she has the kind of personality that makes you feel like you're talking with a friend. From test driving the vehicles we were interested in, to signing the paperwork, Kim made us feel like we were good friends that she was glad to spend time with. We never felt pressured or confused about any component of the buying process. Mr. Colen, owner of Schafer, was also present during the time we spent at the Dealership, and he made us feel like old friends, as well. My husband & I live in central Illinois. We kept looking on line attempting to buy a great truck that would take us through his retirement years. We finally narrowed the truck down to Schafer Chevolet Company. My husband & I was prepared to make the long drive to Pinconning MI. To possibly make a purchase on a 2008 Ford f-150 truck 4x4. This was in January of 2014 during the horrific bad snow storms across the great plains, that we hadn't seen in years. Tim the sells associate made a fantastic suggestion to my husband. Someone from the Company would drive the Truck to us, with out a charge. Tim make a video of the truck 1st, to make certain that we would like the Truck. Tim was so personable & assisted us in the entire process. He then told us that if we didn't like the Truck, that we wasn't bound in a clause that stated that we had to make the purchase. The couple brought the Truck to us at our home. It was everything & then some. We just didn't like it, WE LOVED IT.. THe couple that brought us the truck weathered the terrible snow storm from Pinconning all the way to central Illinois. I can't Thank this fantastic team enough !! I just bought a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix - White with black leather seats. I love the car. It's beautiful on the inside and the outside. The online photo's made me fall in love with it instantly. And it is just as gorgeous in person. The fact that it came from a reputable Chevrolet dealer eased my mind. Thank you so much to Kim Bartys, sales associate at Schafer Chevrolet of Pinconning. She made the buying process very quick and easy over the phone (as I live a couple hundred miles away in Northern Lower Michigan). She answered all my questions in speedy and efficient order. Buying a car is usually an extremely stressful ordeal. With Miss Kim it was anything but stressful for me. I would recommend her and Schafer Chevrolet to anyone in the marked for a new or used vehicle. Cheers to buying union built products! The free delivery option saved me a long drive downstate. When the drivers arrived at my home in the rural northern lower peninsula, they were very polite and had no problem allowing me to take the car for a spin down the road a mile or two. The car drives straight and true down the road with ice-cold air conditioning and working cruise control. That experience was top-notch. It was enriching for me to conversate with a GM retiree and a Steelworkers retiree; as I am also in a Steelworker's union (USW local 2-100). Both were very friendly and professional gentlemen. I purchased my 2006 Malibu. Trusting the Dealer, they siad they did a full inspection and actual repaired a clunking item i the steering without me asking, which I thought was excellent customer service. They also told me that there was a Bushing that needed to be changed that would be roughly $15.00 If I wanted to get it done somewhere else. ( they did not fix the bushing). So I had it checked out at my mechanic after roughly 2 days and he told me it was a Tie-rod..and also that the passenger side brake caliper was faulty...tried to contact Schafer.. No response.. Will never purchase a vehical again. Randy was a very nice saleman though. He was the only good thing about the dealership... Just watch their quailty and get your car checked out somewhere else.

Our experience was very positive and we highly recommend working with NORM! As we live far away, Norm created a video tour of the truck, inside and out, pointing out even small blemishes. He did an amazing job communicating with us, answering all of our questions, showing us the initial inspection report and even let us have a private mechanic check it out for us. He made the process so painless and easy! As we bought the truck in winter, it was nearly impossible to check out the air conditioning, which we found out later was not working. Though it was not covered by their limited warranty and we had it repaired at a local dealership, they were nice enough to send us a check covering nearly the full bill! Way beyond our expectations - it showed professionalism and integrity that we will not forget and appreciate beyond words!

The establishment itself is nice. The car I bought was an excellent car (so far, it's only been a few days). The salesman, however, lacks customer service skills. He refused to budge on the price, even though I showed him the blue book was less than the asking price. I let him know I was coming in to buy the car I had test driven the day before, and asked him if he could hold it until we got there (about 1/2 an hour). He stated he couldn't do that. Seriously? He didn't mention bringing in the plate from the vehicle we were replacing (the rules on that keep changing so it would have been nice to know that and not had to buy a new one). My advice...nice place to buy a vehicle but don't do your business with a salesman named Shawn (not sure of the spelling), He has a pleasant demeanor, but he won't work with you.....he is more about working for himself.

NEVER EVER HAVE I HAD SUCH AN ISSUE WITH THE PURCHASE OF A NEW/USED VEHICLE. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO TAKE A VEHICLE BACK FOR REPAIRS, EVEN THOUGH I ALWAYS HAVE PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. AND NEVER HAVE I BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY BY A SALESMAN ( the new car salesman who I never even purchased the vehicle from) WELL FIRST OF ALL BUYING MY VEHICLE WAS FINE. MY SALESMAN ( Tim ) WAS PLEASANT AND EASY TO WORK WITH, HOWEVER THERE WERE A FEW ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED PRIOR TO PURCHASE AND THEY WERE ALMOST ALL TAKEN CARE OF THANK YOU TO ALLEN. (SERVICE MANAGER WHEN I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THEM FOR THESE REPAIRS I DID INFORM THEM THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE FRONT END (steering knuckle) AND THEY INFORMED ME IT JUST NEEDED TO BE GREASED. NOW 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE ALONG WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY I HAVE NO REAR HEAT AND THE FRONT END ISSUE IS WORSE. SO I BRING IT BACK FOR THE REPAIRS AND THEY TELL ME THEY WON'T FIX THIS ITS NOT COVERED I DID NOT PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THEREFORE THESE REPAIRS WILL NOT BE TAKEN CARE OF. NOW 2 WEEKS LATER I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY YUKON BACK. FIRST OF ALL I WAS TOLD I DIDN'T HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BY THE NEW CAR SALES REP WHO I NEVER EVEN DEALT WITH, TOLD ME THAT HE HAD MY SALESMAN (TIM) IN FRONT OF HIM ALONG WITH MY PAPERWORK AND I DID NOT HAVE THIS WARRANTY . IN ACTUALITY I MOST CERTAINLY HAD PURCHASED THE WARRANTY IF THEY HAD CK. THE PAPERWORK ( WHICH HE DID NOT HAVE IN FRONT OF HIM). I WAS TREATED VERY DISRESPECTFULLY AND RUDELY BY THIS PERSON. I THEN RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM MY SALESMAN (TIM) WHO SOLD ME THE YUKON APOLOGIZING FOR HIS ERROR , THAT I DID HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE REPAIRS WOULD BE COVERED . NOT THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR AN APPROVAL FOR THE FIXES. OK FINE I LET THIS ROLL OFF MY SHOULDERS AND WAIT FOR MY YUKON TO BE FIXED. STILL WAITING SO NOW I CALL AND THEY TELL ME MY YUKON IS WAITING FOR A PART, THE NEXT TIME I CALL THEY TELL ME THEIR TECH GUY IS NOT THERE TODAY BUT HE WILL BE BACK TOMORROW, NOW I CALL AGAIN AND I AM TOLD THEY ARE WAITING FOR THIS APPROVAL FOR A PART TO FIX THE STEERING ISSUE WHICH WAS THERE WHEN I PURCHASED THE YUKON, BUT IT ONLY NEEDED TO BE GREASED (RIGHT???) AND NOW NO ONE CAN SPEAK WITH ANYONE TO GET THIS APPROVAL. MEANWHILE I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY YUKON. AND NOTE I WAS TOLD THE REPAIRS WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU DO PURCHASE A VEHICLE ASK TO SEE THE 101 POINT INSPECTION THAT IS DONE BEFORE THE VEHICLE IS PUT ON THE LOT TO BE SOLD . IF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE THEN THESE ISSUES WOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED PRIOR TO PUTTING THIS VEHICLE ON THE SALES LOT (RIGHT??) INSTEAD OF MYSELF POINTING OUT THESE ISSUES WHICH TO ME ARE VERY IMPORTANT. A STEERING ISSUE AND NO HEAT OH EVEN SEATBELTS THAT LOCK WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK. SAFETY ISSUE I BELIEVE. My wife and I were looking to buy a used vehicle and could not find what we wanted near home. We started searching online and found Schafer Chevy and the vehicle we wanted. We worked with Randy and would highly recommend him! He did a great job answering my questions with personal videos of the car showing all the areas I would want to see if I was there in person. He also took the car for a test ride on video. Once we were 90% sure it was the right car for us he had a very nice couple drive the car right to our home in Holland! We took it for a ride and knew it was the right one. The car is in great shape and better than the video made it seem even. I was a little bummed out about the "no haggling" policy, hoping to try my luck. But overall GREAT experience. Thanks!

As a first time buyer, I had heard plenty of "horror" stories about the car buying process, so I was naturally a bit nervous. Norman Lotz eased my trepidation, however, as he was more of a facilitator than a salesman. He was respectful, knowledgable and didn't try to push me towards cars that I was not interested in. He sold me a great car at a fair price and never once resembled the aggressive, narcissistic car salesman stereotype. Even after selling me the car Norman caring and helpful -- he even followed up with me a couple days after the purchase to see if everything was working properly. The entire operation seemed very well ran and upstanding and I imagine that my experience would have been similarly positive with some of the other salesmen as well. The 1.5 hour drive to Schafer's was well worth it.

I purchased a 2005 jeep liberty over the Internet, sight unseen. They delivered the vehicle to me in the UP of Michigan quite timely. However, when it was delivered, the check engine light was on. I notified them immediately. They advised me to get it checked out. The repairs consisted of a tune up. For this they only covered half of the price which I feel should have been covered by them, as I notified them immediately.

We were referred to Schafer by a friend. Our family had expanded and were looking for an affordable family vehicle. Our salesman Norman was very friendly and found us exactly what we were looking for in our price range. We live 2 hours away from the dealership so we did everything over the phone and email and then they even delivered the vehicle to our home. A few days after we received the vehicle there was a minor issue that wasn't something that could have been predicted and Norman fixed it without an issue. I will be a return customer when we are ready for our next vehicle.

Pleasantly surprised with professional yet personable sales team. I was curious on the features offered on a Spark vs Cruze vs Impala as well as how the first 2 compared to an Impala. I wanted to buy a used car for my grandson's graduation. I checked on line at Schafer Pinconning Chevrolet and found several cars in my price range. Photos and details on cars were all good. I drove into parking lot and I was immediately greeted by Norman Lotz outside. He went and got keys for car that I saw on line. He explained the accessories and features on this car and offerred a test drive. I went for test drive. I started negociations with him and we reached a final price. After paper work was done, Norman took me for a tour of service department and explained their operation. Garage area was very clean and every one was friendly. This was a very good experience and everything went smoothly. I definitely would consider buying another vehicle from Norman Lotz in the future.

I found this dealership online, (my husband always pre-shops online so I decided to give it a try.) I had an idea of what I wanted in used, but was very surprised when I found this van. I actually could not believe how new it appeared & low mileage & price...I called and got Norm Lotz and he said he would check if they still had the vehicle...he called back and said they had it...and he also made a video and sent it...so I actually got to see how nice it was...just like new for sure, I still was puzzled at the price, we decided to run up and take a look, ( just looking) ...well we seen it, & drove it; but wanting to be sure If this was the vehicle I really wanted, I also drove a couple other vehicles... but this was the one! (looking turned to buying.) Norm is very good at this sales job. He is an excellent people person!!! He was so patient with me trying different vehicles, and was very knowledgeable about all the ones I drove...this was the best car buying experience I have had and at my age there has been many... Norm likes his work & it shows with his professional work ethics, and personality...I have already told many it was well worth the drive to this dealership...very impressive!. I also recommended Norm at Schafer Chevrolet, if they are car shopping new or used... I felt Norm knew a lot about all the vehicles we drove & checked out; but I also felt (& know) if he wasn't sure on some of the questions we asked he went and found the answer!! All in all as I look back it was a poor move on my part to buy this 2005 truck from Schafer. When I test drove the truck I found the horn did not work and I heard a knocking from the engine, asked the salesmen to have his service department fix the horn and let me know what was causing the knocking. To make a long story short they fixed the horn (took 2 day's) the knocking the salesman said was " normal" lol and I fell for it, come to find out its a common problem (not normal, sounds like a diesel), that GM won't stand behind. I Purchased the truck, they had to do the paperwork twice and what's up with that business mgr. that won't take no for an answer when you say " no thank you on that extended warranty stuff they try to sell. Had to make 3 trips from Oscoda with all the issues.

A few weeks ago I was in a rollover accident with my 2003 Trailblazer. The vehicle was totalled and I was in desperate need for a new family vehicle. The 2003 Trailblazer I was in the accident with was actually purchased from Schafer in PInconning. I loved this vehicle and was devastated when we lost it. The first place we went to after the accident was Schafer. This was due to the friendly service from our salesmen Michael Colbeck. The experience my wife and I had with Schafer when buying our 2003 Trailblazer, particularly with our salesmen Michael Colbeck, we knew that we would be returning customers. We don't buy cars frequently and frankly don't enjoy the process. However, our experience at Schafer was by far the most positive sales experience we've had in a long time. Our salesperson was respectful, yet friendly, very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had. He told us immediately that this dealership did not engage in "price haggling" which we were happy to hear. We love our "new" slightly used car and would return to this dealership when we are next in the market for another car.

I recently took delivery on a used car , I know this happens everyday but it was different for me because the car came from three states and 436 miles away. I also must say that I had never physically seen or driven the vehicle which is 25 years old....I do not normally buy a car in this method so I knew i was taking a chance. My salesman's name was Jared , via a video camera he showed me the car took me for a ride and even put the car on a lift to show me the undercarriage. I have been to many car dealerships in my 57 years and never never been treated like this ,Jared did a great job of showing the car with no high pressure which i personally hate. I know what your thinking anyone can talk a dealership up or for that matter down but here is where the story takes a twist. The car was delivered to me by two nice gentleman in Cleveland Ohio from Michigan with a final destination of western N. Y my home. The gentleman that delivered the car were honest and told me that the windows would not go down, anyway the car looked solid so i signed off and drove it home. You have to remember this car is 25 yrs old with no warranty. When i got home i emailed Jared about some issues with the car fully expecting him to tell me "tough luck buddy" I sold you the car as is. I was blown away when Jared and Schafer Chevrolet said that they would make it right and they did , this is how you stay in business , more dealerships should conduct themselves in this manner. Jared and I have even become friends through this transaction. In our family we have 7 cars it looks like i will be traveling to Cleveland for another used car when one of our cars goes to the bone yard ......Thanks Jared Gary

I went into Schafers looking for a unique car and Shawn helped me find exactly that. He ordered me a car with everything that I wanted. I got a great unique car that fit my personality for a great price. He worked with me over the phone and online so all I had to do was get to the dealership to sign the papers and take my new car home. This is the first time I have never bought a brand new car or a car from a dealership for that matter, but I would defiantly buy one from Shawn at Schafers again. Excellent service. I emailed the dealer after hours, and to my surprise, they responded at 7PM the same day! Very appreciated because I needed to schedule an appointment to view a vehicle very early the following morning. The salesman even came in before business hours to let me view the vehicle! Schafer is priced to sell. However, there is no room for haggling; the price on the window is the price that you pay. I am very happy with my experience. The salesman, Norman, was a very reasonable man and quite knowledgeable about the inventory. We made a deal,shook hands, and I drove home with the vehicle that I wanted the very same day. It was such a relief to walk into a dealership and not be feel like I'm being eyed by vultures, starving for commission. Schafer takes care of it's employees and because of that makes the experience better for everyone involved. To anyone looking into buying a vehicle- I'd urge you to look into their inventory, you won't be disappointed.

This is my third vehicle purchased from Schafer and I absolutely love the place. My salesperson, Randy Wallace is a great salesperson! He knows what people want, asks the right questions and does his best to give you the best possible deal and follows up with every sale. Randy is easy to talk to, friendly and most definately there to help you find what you want. Randy goes above and beyond any salesperson I have ever had. This is the second vehicle Randy sold me and I didn't even think to go anywhere else after since my first purchase. The cars are in great shape and the finance dept. can find you the best rate around in a hurry. I also want to say the service area goes above and beyond in customer service. When I went in for my first oil change with my new car, they were quick and washed my car. I didn't expect the car wash and was quite happy. I thought it was too good to be true, but they actually brought the car to me to test drive, from Piconning to Mount Pleasant. Its been over 15 years since I have been to this dealership and I liked working with them back then and enjoyed it just as much this time. The sale was easy to settle and went very smooth. It was a pretty much low pressure/no pressure situation. I pretty much knew what I was looking for and what I planned to spend. Worked with Norm Lotz and a sales manager on this and they found the right car for me. I enjoy the Impala I purchased from them and hope to do business with them again.One thing some of the other sales people need to remember is that the little cubicles they sit in don't block every sound. While I was sitting there waiting to sign some papers I heard one saleperson commenting negatively to another sales person about some body he called not wanting to buy a car. While that happens all the time in business, a customer should not hear those comments

I was looking for a used car and started searching in Midland where I live. I had a specific budget in mind, but that didn't stop the salesman from trying to sell me a BMW. When I visited Schafer in Pinconning it was the complete opposite. I was told we will only show you cars you are interested in and they stuck to that statement. I had all my questions answered and got a great deal on my car. It was completely stress free and I have recommended them to a few people already and I will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a car. Just a great car buying experience.

My finacand I just bought a 2008 Dodge Caliber from Scafer. We test drove one from another dealer the same day we went to look at the one here. The one at the competitor location was a year older, had almost 15,000 more miles on it, rougher condition, and they were asking the same price as the one we ended up buying from Scafer. Ours was well taken care of, pristinely clean, and was an all-around better car for a great price. Our salesman, Tim was very friendly and down to earth. We ended up buying the car and driving it home the same day we went to test drive it. They looked for banks to finance us and found us the best deal. We will definitely buy our next vehicle from them when we are ready for a new one and I have already told my friends and family to do the same!

I drove from Vassar to Pinconning (60+ miles) to look at the 2012 Impalas. It was 2:30 on a Saturday and I did not realize they closed at 3:00! Norman Lotz met us in the parking lot and was GREAT. At 3:00 Norm let me take a second car for a test drive. Then he stayed even longer to fill out the paper work. The people were so nice.The price on the window was the price! I nearly gave up and settled on an overpriced vehicle only to find out that it failed it's own dealership inspection and still was put out on the lot. Wow. My wife and I kept looking at each dealership and didn't find what we were looking for. So we expanded our radius and found Schafer Chevrolet. We had a list of about 6 cars we wanted to look at. The first car, '04 Buick Rendezvous - 81K miles, we looked at was the one. We knew immediately that was the car. It had soft brakes on it. They agreed to fix it BEFORE the sale not after like the previous company offered at a 50/50 warranty. They offered to deliver to us some 40 miles away. The sales team treated our family (3 wild boys - 7 4 & 2) better than they deserved. Low key sales, no high pressure. Yes the are salespeople but you didn't get that creepy/smarmy feeling you have to wash off when you get home. In fact, we met someone we knew that came all the way from Clio, MI (56 miles away) and they internet shopped also and they drove out with a vehicle. The facilities are not super modern but I think I kind of liked that. It looked lived in and had a personal touch to it. We financed ourselves at 2.49% which we thought was unbeatable and they shopped us and dropped us to 2.25%. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership as a first place to look for a car. The best thing I can say is that the day after my wife and I asked each other if we did the right thing or had any buyer's remorse. Nope! - Bob, 38 miles & 45 minutes away

We shopped online before stopping into Schafer...Shopping on their website was easy and convenient for us. We found a vehicle we were very interested in, but decided to cruise around the lot and see a few cars that we were interested in, in-person. Mike Colbeck greeted us in the parking lot, gave us time to look around and then helped us when we were ready to test drive the car we came to look at. His approach was great. He left us to talk over the whole process, and gave us the information we needed to make our decision. He was very patient in going over all of our options as far as payments and things like that. After we left, we sat in our car for about another half hour discussing the options, and even though Mike was punched out for the day, he still came over to see if we had any other questions. I would definitely recommend Mike, and Schafer to anyone that was looking to buy a car. They have great customer service. Even though I came in to finalize the paperwork when Mike was with other clients, I got the same great treatment from another representative. Mike called that evening to apologize for not being available when I came in, and told me to call if I had any other questions. Great service, great dealership!

We just recently purchased a 2006 Trail Blazer at Schafer Chevrolet. It was a wonderful experience. The ability to look at the stock online with all the research available was very helpful, especially when we finally contacted Tim Dumas (recommended to us from our son)about our choices. We then drove the hour and a half to Pinconning from Farwell to take a peek at what we picked out. Let me mention that Tim was willing to drive our way, but we opted to drive there. Imagine. . . shopping for a car from home! Nonetheless we were quite impressed with the facility, the service, and Tim's patience with us as we chose our vehicle and asked for a few things to be fixed. Not only did Tim oversee the things we asked to be addressed, but he had the vehicle sent out to us so we didn't have to go back. He has continued to be in contact with us as we acquaint ourselves with the car and have questions. The salesperson Randy Wallace took great care of me. He got me exactly what i was looking for, took care of all the paperwork and even had the truck delivered right to my house. He even took the time to come to my house and signed the paperwork right at my dining room table. I would definately do buisness with Randy again.

Had to upgrade from a Trailbalzer to Suburban due to family growth and offroad ability for camping. The price on the Suburban at Schafer killed anything comparable at any other dealership that I found. Tim Dumas streamlined the trade-in process for me and was up-front about everything. The price and process were so good that I drove 2 hours to get the Suburban, rather than go to the metro area, which is only a little over an hour away from me. All I had to do was test drive the vehicle and sign the papers that were already ready when I got there.

We just purchased a new car 2012 Impala from Schafer Chevrolet and had a wonderful experience. Our salesman, Eric Steward, he returned our phone calls promptly. He was not pushy and we did not feel pressured at all! He even brought the car to my house and I had trouble with the smell of the new Car smell in side and he took it back and did a Great job to get the smell out!!! We want to thank Eric for the Great job he did!! We will definitely recommend this dealership to our friends/family.

I was a bit worried about my first real car purchase with a dealer. This is the first car I bought on my own and I have heard a lot of horrer storries about dealers before. However Schafers had the perfect car and it seemed too good to be true. I stopped in and was greated on the lot by Eric. He was very nice and seemed more interested in making sure it was the right car that fit me over just trying to push me to drive it. He was very helpful through the whole proccess and was never pushy. My friends may have had bad experiences other places but I had a great experience. I am sure to buy here again and recommend Eric to all my friends and family :)

This dealership sold me a car that they stated had not been in an accident and that had a CarFax which showed no accidents. After I bought the car the Car Proof showed it was in an accident in Canada (from where the car was imported.) Upon having the car inspected by a body shop they not only confirmed it, but showed me the glaring evidence: welding marks, hood bumper adjustments, fender liner damage. Dealership admitted to not having inspected the vehicle after buying it from an auction. They offered to have me bring the car back and "pick one" off their lot, but didn't have anything at all remotely comparable. I found comparable vehicles for sale on the internet and they stated they called but no one called them back. It took me weeks and much frustration to give me a refund on the diminished value of the vehicle. They pressured me with a deadline to sign a statement that I would file no further claims on the vehicle, without my having the time to review it with a lawyer. I signed it so I could get the money they were offering. Also - be smarter than I was: they sold the car with an "As Is" Warranty and when I asked to purchase an extended warranty before buying the car they said no, it was too old - within the first 100 miles the battery died, air bag lights went on and off, and the tire sensor had to be replaced. Also, the tires were worn unevenly so they appeared OK like the salesperson said but were not. Follow all the advice out there and take any car you may be thinking of purchasing from this dealership to both a mechanic and a body shop.

I bought a low mileage used Equinox at a great price at this dealership! The car was as described on both the dealership web page and cars.com, motortrend.com, etc. The salesman was online and answered all my questions, putting a hold on the car for several hours until I could get over there several hours later. The manager even bought us lunch! I love this dealership, it is well worth the drive.

I had a wheel bearing go out in town 100 miles from home. Had my 2007 Chev truck towed to their dealership. They gave us a car to use for as long it would take. They got on it right away and within a hour we were on the road again and it was still under warranty. My next purchase for sure will be there.

I just had front and rear brakes put on my 2008 Impala, I took the car to Schafer Auto Mall because they do a great job, offer you a courtesy car so you don't have to wait. Their prices have been fair and the job is always done right. I bought my last 3 cars there and when I am ready for another car I will get it from there.

I had purchased a new 2009 Impala from them.I was looking for a truck and I seen one on their website. I emailed for more info and received a reply the next day which was Sunday. I went to the dealership on Monday and test drove the truck. Shawn,the salesman, was very helpful and took care of the whole deal.Owner of the dealership said it is a great truck and if I had any problems with it to see him. Well Satisfied.

This is my second time purchasing with Schafer's. This time, I was in an accident and the car was totaled. I immediately called Shawn and he helped me find a new car fast. The best experience when buying a new vehicle at any other dealership I have ever had. Sales personal are the greatest, its the home town experience.
