I haven’t actually received the maintenance yet however my experience with Luigi in the service center today just setting it up… was EXCELLENT! I manage, and need five people like him! Take good care, or I’ll have to recruit him! 🤣 This Guy’s the real deal- he put me first, even just for a few minutes these days, that’s HUGE. Authentic and sincere are two words that come to mind. Charles was my representative and he was really great to work with. He was very patient with me and was able to really breakdown the details of my service. His service was above and beyond. He even gave me a mini-tutorial not only my car rental that I was using while my actual car was getting serviced but also gave me a tutorial on some features on my current vehicle not I wasn't aware of. We have used Brennan Star Nissan twice now in the last 3 years or less. Each time the full staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Our first experience was with Eugene who was amazing, friendly and took care of us very well and was very attentive. Traded a different car for a new Nissan model. Our most recent experience was with Tony, who made us feel extremely welcome, cared for and was very understanding. Him and Eugene helped us trade our two car for a newer model and Mr Brennan was there to ensure a smooth transition too. We strongly recommend Brennan Star Nissan and is definitely our place for any car related needs.

I had a fantastic experience at Star Nissan, Inc. Tony was extremely knowledgable and helpful. He patiently showed me different models of the Rogue and offered insights on each - varying features, safety standards on all, how Nissan compares to other brands. I wasn't ready to make a decision on my first visit, and Tony was completely understanding and offered to be available should I have questions as I continued to shop. When I was ready to come back and purchase a Rogue, Tony and the team at Star Nissan were extremely helpful, patient, and fun to work with. It was a big day for me, having to part with my old car of 16 years, and Tony made sure that I felt heard and taken care of throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend Tony and the Star Nissan team.

Paul Lukasiewicz was my salesman in May of 2015 when I bought my new Sentra. He was very helpful and knowledgeable then and so when my car was totalled about two weeks ago by a driver who blew through a red light at about 50 mph, I decided to check back in with Paul on inventory at Star Nissan. He was once again very thorough and helpful in discussing my options of used versus new. I ended up purchasing a new 2016 Sentra with the feel and color as my previous car which I was very happy with. Paul Lukasiewicz and Bruce Berger were both very helpful getting me back into a great car and I recommend them and Star Nissan highly.

I can say many good things about our sale rep Eli, very professional, knowledgeable, not pushy and even honest (And we all know how hard it is to find this quality in a car sales person nowadays ; )I mean, the guy actually convinced me not to buy a much more expensive car and stick to the one I initially liked and perfectly fitted my needs...But what really impressed me was, when I asked him for an accessory that I really liked even though I knew very well it was not included with the package that came with my car.He said he was going to do whatever he could for me to have it and he was going to call me in a few days, I said to my self "yeah, right" he already sold me the car, there is no way this guy is going to call me now...I had actually forgot about it, two days passed by, when all of a sudden, Eli calls me to let me know the super cool accessory is ready for me to pick up!!I was like, that's what I call " A man of his word"C. I now live in Mount Prospect; much closer to Arlington Nissan and sever other Nissan dealers. I've gone to each of them for service or to look at cars. From those experiences, I would rather drive to Star Nissan for service and to consider a new car. A few weeks ago, I came in for service on my previous Altman. While there, I talked to Eli about finance and warranty options for a certified used car. I made it clear I wasn't ready to buy today but Eli still spent all the time I asked for to help me understand. I came back the next week to buy and insisted on waiting for Eli while he finished with another customer. I suggest you do the same.

We had purchased a new 2015 Rogue 2 years ago. We had an exceptional experience. Our sales representative, Paul, Listened to exactly what our needs were and provided us with several choices. In August 2016 were went to see Paul.at Star Nissan to talk about options for lowering our monthly payment.Again, Paul listened and went through many options. Paul was so helpful and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable with our decision. The finance representative worked everything out and we could not believe how helpful she was. It was such a great experience we would not hesitate to recommend Star Nissan to everyone. It was unlike any other car dealership we have worked with and rang the bell with great satisfaction as Paul walked us to our new Rogue!!

We were reluctant to go thru a car dealer to buy a predriven car because of past experiences. Star Nissan is 25 miles from our home, but they a good selection of the car we wanted, so we decided to go take a look. Found a car I liked on cars.com and contacted the dealership about it. I received a call the best morning confirming the car is there and it will be ready for me to check out. When I arrived to the dealership the sales person claimed the car was sold and someone out a down payment on it the previous day.Where is the communication? I'm more upset that they wasted my time by going there for absolutely nothing.

I bought an Infiniti G35x from Star Nissan in 2012 and doing regular maintenance and services wtih them. They always take care of their customers and especially my adviser who I always go to: Ruby she is an awesome lady to work with. I had a suspension and noise issue with my car last week and Ruby took care of it from A to Z she dealt with my warranty company and her technicians and returned my car back in perfect fixed condition. She even followed up with me next day to check everything is okay. Thank you Ruby and Star Nissan for all your service and help.

Make sure you go onto the Star Nissan website and read the automobile description. The car I drove to buy (3 hours) that was advertised under Certified on Cars.com and had a caption under it stating "Nissan Certified" was NOT certified. I was then asked to pay $1600 to get it certified. While the salesman was pleasant he had no explanation really for the discrepancy. On to the dealer regulatory commission...I ended up purchasing the car when they "waived" the certification fee although I feel it hurt my negotiation power because they considered waiving the fee part of the deal. Strange thing is although they were claiming I had to pay extra for the certification, a pretty lengthy process really, the car was already certified by the time we closed the deal. So, either the certification took 30 minutes or the car was already certified and they wanted me to eat the price of that. Either way, something was not right.As far as service, I will see. I got the car home and found it to be pretty dirty under the back seats, and in the back console. Nothing like finding someone else's kids chewed gum and french fries under the seat after you spend XX,XXX. I left a message for my dealer but have not heard back.

This has to be the worst scamming dealership I have ever dealt with. They are so dishonest that they sold me a used car with a brand new title when it was actually a salvage title. The car was in a major accident in Minnesota rebuild and sold in Illinois as a used car. I asked Daniel Aguayo if the car had a clean record and he showed me a false car fax report and lie through his teeth to make the $30,000 deal. Over the next five years I had nothing but car problems to the point that I had to buy a second car so I wont lose my job. Finally, when I decided to sell the car I find out the true history of the car. I went back to the dealership only to have them tell me. It not their fault and not their problem. How completely irresponsible of them to flip the issue on me. They were extremely rude and could care less about their customers.

I had a really good experience at Star Nissan from the moment I had contact. I used TruCar and immediately was contacted by Gail. She then introduced me to Edgar Martinez who I worked without throughout the deal. I found the experience to be far less stressful than my previous car buying experiences and I would attribute this to 1.using TruCar and making contact before entering the dealership and 2.the friendliness of the staff. I was given a good deal and treated fairly. Even when I returned to get an ipass I had forgotten from my trade-in, I was approached by at least 5 salesmen asking me if I needed help. This has not been my experience at other dealerships. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took a very long time to get to the financing step even after we had reached a deal.

I have been leasing Nissan Murano''s for many years. The car is terrific. The experience in dealing with Billy Werner is seamless and transparent. There is no aggressive hard salesmanship. You ask him for a price and your accept and trust the deal. He is completely honest. He is a gentleman, who represents Berman in a way in which all employees should represent their companies. I recommend Star Nissan and particularly recommmend that you ask for Billy Werner. He has been there for many years and hopefully will continue to be well for many more years.

I had a great experience dealing with Star Nissan and in particular Jim Wheeler, my Sales Manager who sold me my Juke. From my inquiry online handled by Gail, to the greeting I received when I came to look at the truck, this team was awesome! Even the VP Rob Majesky took the time to greet me and later sit down and talk with me while my financing was being worked on. They went and found the exact year and color Juke I wanted from another location, drove it to Niles for me, and then Jim even bought me dinner!!! When I walked into Star Nissan in Niles last week I was met by Keith Gerstner who listened to my needs and showed me what was available to meet those needs. When I finally selected the car I wanted Keith was extremely helpful in setting up the deal for the Rogue I selected. I then met with the business manager to sign the final documents. He was very efficient and professional as was all the Star personnel I had contact with. All in all, the whole purchase process was unbelievably smooth. I am very pleased with the Rogue. I was buying a vehicle from this dealership from out of town. I called them and asked the salesman to inspect the vehicle to insure in was in good shape with no damage or rust. I was told it was perfect. I also asked them to have the vehicle ready since I was driving in from out of town. When I arrived, they had not gotten the vehicle ready and worst of all the vehicle had damage to the front end. The dealership had basically lied to get me to come there. Of course the manager said they don't lie, so he apologized and said he would help me on the price. After taking it for a test drive, he told me he would give me $400 for the repair after they had lied about the damage to begin with and had said if they fixed it it would raise the price by $800. Since I drove so far to purchase it, I decided to buy the vehicle anyway and get it fixed, the cheapest estimate I could find after getting 4 was for $968. They also had a part on order for the vehicle, which they were going to ship to me when it arrived. I still have never received that and despite calling and emailing have not received an answer. The night I purchased it, the entire process took them over 3 hours to complete and the financing could not secure a good rate so late at night, so I wanted to quickly refinance the vehicle. When I called to inquire on the title Arthur in finance said he would check and call be back in an hour. He never called back. I then called him 4 more times and left messages and he would not return my calls. So I called the used car manager Neil. Once again he apologized for his staff and told me to just wait and wouldn't give me my loan information. I hung up and called the bank with no information and luckily they were more helpful and were able to look it up for me. Once I had my loan information I called Neil back to ask about when they sent out the package so I could get my title to refinance and then Neil started to not return my phone calls. This dealership is shady and just passes the blame for one person to the next.

Being right out of college and this being my first car-buying experience, I was literally so excited to buy a car at Star that I would do it over and over again, if I could. Everything was prepared for me in advance and Eli (Ilia) was in constant communication with me from the very start. Not only is he absolutely professional in every sense - cordial, kind, and considerate, but he knows his cars and inventory from to back. I have gone to other local Nissans and no service came close to this phenomenal customer-oriented service. Steve H. assisted me as well throughout the entire process and was able to work through any little kinks that came up (of course there is no such thing as a perfect car buying experience, but seemed like so!) I went in wanting a Maxima, ended up looking and test driving a Rogue, and purchasing a Sentra. Eli and Steve were very cognizant of my budget and desires and made it absolutely clear that they did not want me getting a vehicle unless I loved it and wanted it to be MINE. They did not let me settle, even when I almost did. My Sentra SR is 2014 with 3,000 miles and it is an absolute gem. I recommend Star Nissan to anyone looking to purchase ANY car. Star truly values its customers and treats you the way you DESERVE to be treated respectful of your taste, choice, budget and needs. Always ask for Eli when you go there, you will not be disappointed.

After going to multiple Nissan dealerships and learning all their tricks and cons, I came to this one very prepared. I went in with a TrueCar transparency price. This leaves them very little room to negotiate. In addition, I came in knowing my credit score and the fair market value rate of APR financing for that score. The salesman I worked with, Luis, was very honorable of the TrueCar price, although he did stick me with a $400 City Package fee that was not on there (this service is most likely worth $100). Oh well, still a good price, so we start on APR. He comes back to me with 8%. I'm like sigh... I have 725 credit, try again. They came back with 3.3%. Okay fine just a little higher than expected.We went through the rest of the paperwork. It was late after the dealership was closed, but Luis was very kind and helpful throughout the whole process, and I didn't feel once like he was trying to rush me so he can go home. Also, after the sale I had a couple questions and texted Luis. He responded to me right away, which was much appreciated.All in all, I left with a brand new Nissan Versa S plus, with fees, tax, title, and lifetime interest ($1K) totaling to $15K. This was $2K less than the best price I had at 3 previous dealerships. Compared to those dealerships (Mid-City, Western, Autobarn) they were the most reasonable in price negotiations and friendliness. The other dealerships got mad at me when I called them out on their sleazy tactics as if I was in the wrong. Here at least they take your point professionally and work with you. If you are looking to buy a Nissan in Chicago land area save yourself some time and come to these guys first.

Had a 4pm appt this afternoon. Was in constant text/chat both to confirm the appointment, and admittedly we were 15 minutes late. We were driving into the city from Round Lake (30 something miles away). Let Rebecca Lyons (our contact via True Car) know via text and told the fellow at the desk who promptly paged her know we were there. Sat in front for 45 minutes. No show. We got up and went to the next dealer in our list. I was a bit surprised considering the high rating here...but I can't give them the benefit of the doubt, because a simple return text saying they were tied up or something came up would have gone a long way to make up for the wait. I guess they looked at us through their camera and figured we weren't worth taking care of. :)

When I review my experience at Star Nissan, I should logically evaluate the entire experience. That being said, my initial rating was "good." I have to admit that the wait for getting financing on the car lease finished took a little while, but was that because of the customer workload? Near the lunch period? Or maybe was it to sync up the time the new vehicle needed to be made beautifully street legal? The reason doesn't matter now. Bill Werner was my agent and because of his attention to details, I can happily give this dealership an excellent rating. I have been a customer of Star Nissan in the past and Bill helped me learn that this place doesn't just churn out leases and sales, but actually cares about the feelings of the driver, his/her past, family, hopes and desires. If it wasn't for his service to me and my wife...that excellent rating would have been "fair" at best! Thank you Mr. Werner. You are truly a professional.

He is very knowledgable of the work he does and doesn't make you waste time, he works with you to get you exactly what you are looking for. Our two children were with us and he went out of his way to keep them entertain and happy with snacks, toys and movies. If you ever go to this dealership be sure to ask for Brian Magee and you will have a great experience. We also met the Financial Services Manager, Te' Asia Yearby, she was very efficient and professional. We also worked online with Rebecca Lyons, she was very helpful sending pictures of cars we were interested in via email, she was very fast and specific with the information she provided. Dariusz Witek was great! He was extremely honest and tried hard for me. I ended up driving off in a car that I love with more bells and whistles than I was there to buy (good salesman). He went back and forth trying to get the best deal for me and they were swamped on Black Friday. I appreciate his time and effort. He was friendly and personable and I feel like he did right by me in every way that he could. The same goes for the finance department. They got more done for me than I had expected. I have a beautiful used Nissan Rogue that is like brand new with a 4 year bumper to bumper warranty. I will send others to Star Nissan...they definitely go above and beyond! The only reason I left one star off for the facilities is because it was a long wait and there was no coffee or cups...but again, they were swamped on Black Friday so that was understandable. :-)

Steve bill and bruce all put their heads together and was able to find SL model which my daughter fell in love with. They were able to come up with a price within my daughters budget . A huge upgrade from what she was looking for without a huge increase in the payment. Why have I referred so many friends to this dealership because they go above and beyond to get you in the car you want and the price you can afford. I took my 80 yr old inlays here to look at a Sentra. From the Minute we walked in they were all over us. Keisy let them drive two different cars and then disappeared once they said they wanted to buy a car. They felt bad asking me to take them and they needed a car, so they just agreed to buy one. They were kept waiting for over two hours, for what I don't know. Then they were rushed through the finance managers office. I was in there trying to explain what was going on to my father-in-law and the guy kept telling stuff to my mother-in-law. I wanted to leave, but they were too tired to travel and just wanted to get it done. We had to come back to pick up the car because it was taking so long, I had to get them something to eat. When we got the car, Keisy didn't show them anything about how the car works. I asked if that was it, and he said yes. I ended up staying at their house for an hour explaining the controls them. Even then, my father-in-law locked himself in the back seat because Keisy never said it had child safety locks. I would never shop here again, and still feel bad about taking them there.

My husband was looking for a new/used car to replace his old Mitsubishi Montero so we came to Star Nissan just to look around. We met Brian Magee and he showed us a couple of great cars, but my husband didn't want to buy that day. Brian kept in touch with us on some great cars that were in and we came back a week later. My husband ended up buying the car he actually wanted at a great price. Brian was VERY HELPFUL and knowledgable about the cars we looked at. As well as very patient. Three words would sum up my experience perfectly. Easiest purchase ever! From the moment my fiance and I walked in the door we were greeted warmly and immediately helped. Danny Aguayo was my salesperson and he was extremely pleasant to work with. My fiance and I said on more than one occasion that this was the easiest car purchase either one of us had ever been through. Every single person in the store was friendly, asked us if we needed anything and were just an absolute pleasure to work with. Greg helped us out in the finance department and even though he was WELL past the time he should have been off he couldn't have been more friendly to work with. I don't know if I would have had the same demeanor if it was three hours past my quitting time. I can't express enough how wonderful everyone was here. I would highly, highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is unsure of where to start. They were some of the nicest people I have ever met at a dealership. Danny even went so far as to call me a few days later thanking me for my business and asking me to send pictures once my wedding takes place (who knows, maybe he will be invited ;)). Wonderful car buying experience and I would absolutely visit them again even though I live well over an hour away from the dealership. You can never drive too far for great customer service. Can't rate them highly enough!

I am not a person that writes many reviews but in light of the outstanding customer service that I have received from Bill and the Star Team over the years, it is long overdue. In the seven years that I have been working with Bill, he has always treated my family as if they were his own, from remembering the names of our children to graciously handing out snacks; he has gone above and beyond to always make us feel welcome. Over the years I have come to depend on Bill as a trusted advisor when purchasing a new vehicle, he has always treated us honestly and fairly. I've worked sales my whole life so I hate being sold to. Previous experiences have made walking into a dealership dreadful, alas we needed a car so we found ourselves in the lot at Star Nissan. Within seconds there was Brian so my first thought was "here we go with the sales pitch" much to my surprise it didn't go that way. We were there for a long time yes but when making a large purchase I don't expect to be in and out. I never felt pitched or sold to, I felt his genuine attempt at meeting our needs, Brian was straightforward, honest, and hilarious, I was comfortable, he even wrote us a check for my son's school fundraiser! In the end we walked out with a car that my whole family loves, it runs great and is within our budget. Thanks Brian and Star Nissan for a great shopping experience :)

My wife and I were looking for a reliable used car at a good price, and we weren't having any luck until we came here. The bottom line is we bought a great Nissan Maxima at a really fair price. Brian in sales worked with us to find exactly what we wanted. He is courteous, friendly and patient and always calls you when he says he will. The car we bought was nowhere near a new car price, but Brian's service and availability were better than I could have ever expected even if we had been buying a new model. Frank the manager is attentive and very fair. He worked with me on Brian's day off and we closed the deal fairly and without any hassle. Eli, who works in both sales and finance, took us through the paperwork and explained everything along the way. He even stepped in to help us so we wouldn't have to wait for two other people who were ahead of us to see the guy assigned to do the paperwork that night. I have no connection with Star Nissan and am writing the review purely to convey the great experience we had with them. If you are shopping for a new Nissan or a used car, don't buy anything without giving these guys a chance.

I went to this dealership and this salesman because a friend had used them and was very satisfied with their services. I found Brian to be friendly, personable and very straight forward. When, even after I had selected a car but before I had taken delivery, he found a "better deal" on the same model (lower mileage and lower price), he contacted me and we made the change which saved me $4K. Greg Weinberg in finance was straight forward and managed the various tax changes and other minor issues easily and without a hitch. This was a wonderful purchasing experience and I look forward to doing business with them throughout the life of this vehicle.

I'm not a big fan of dealerships and I'm always looking for private seller options. But, it was fortuitous that I ran into Brian Magee - the salesman I ended up working with. I'm used to pushy salesman, but Brian seemed to be very process oriented ensuring that I had a good chance to check things out before getting into the financials. He was exceedingly lighthearted and funny keeping the deal fun yet serious enough to get it done to my satisfaction. Brian offered to help with many small things to make the time more pleasant and offered additional improvements at limited or no cost to me. He and his boss Frank, made the process go smoothly largely proving me with a price I could live with. I'm sure they still made money, but that's what they are in business for. I'm never satisfied with the price so I rated it a 4, but my sense they came to a fair price very quickly - in one round of back and forth. I'm even less thrilled with doc fees, but I get the government fee stuff. It was a busy day at the dealership, but it took way too long to get through time to get through paperwork with the finance person even though I was paying in cash. Other than the long wait, the overall customer experience was exceptional.

Just two days ago, I called regarding a Nissan Murano I had seen on line for a great deal. I called and talked to a very sweet lady who assured me it would be there. So I made an appointment to go see it the very next day. When I arrived at the dealership, the staff was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Mr. Magee was my sales advisor, we went for a test drive and automatically i fell in love with the car. I decided to close the deal, and in less than two hours i was driving home in my new Murano. I went to the dealership for a service, but i needed a part also ( tow hook, so i can drill into where it suppose to go) as i was trying to explain to them that my did not come with one, the guys said that i cant drill there since it does not have hole its probably for a reason!?!?!? I was asked why i need that done, and i told them that im planning on putting my license plate there instead on the bumber and having to drill hole to the bumber. The reply was" oh no, those cars dont come like that"!?!? They guy had no immagination whatsoever. Not comming back to this place, thats for sure

The moment you drive in to Star Nissan service center, expect to be greeted by the fabulous staff. They are extremely cordial, friendly and respectful of your time. Although, the service took a little bit longer than expected, I really appreciated the fact that they will inform you about the delay, unlike other places. However, it is understandable since i had made no appointment prior to my arrival. Ruby was such a great person to work with. She printed out everything that needed to be done to my car and although i refused to get everything serviced at that moment, I will definitely be back again.

I purchased a Nissan Maxima two weeks ago from Brian Magee and Frank Baginski at Star Nissan. I couldn't have been any more pleased then I was. They worked very patiently with me as I was trying to narrow down my options. They were extremely informative about each vehicle and its capabilities. Once deciding which car i would go forward with purchasing the paperwork and everything couldnt have gone any smoother. The car had a few paint touch ups that it needed Brian and Frank took care of this the next day without any problem. I was in the market for a 2nd car. I was thinking a small truck so I can tow a future fishing boat and still get good mileage since I commute 60 miles a day. I contacted Brian Magee at star nissan to see if they had anything. Although Brian didn't have a small truck that would fit the bill. He did show me a low mileage Ford Focus and a low mileage Chevy Trailblazer. Since combining the 2 vehicles would be perfect for my needs I raised the possibility of purchasing both. Of course the money had to be right. So, Brian introduced me to Frank Baginski the used car manager. We were able to work out pricing that I felt comfortable with. The next step was to work with Sam in finance to figure out the loans.The result was that I was able to purchase both vehicles that fit my needs at an affordable cost. At no time during the process did I feel pressured to make a decision. Which for me is important to the experience. It has been several weeks since the transaction and I'm very pleased with both cars. I have already recommended them to several family members and friends. My overall internet experience with Star Nissan was good. I was not surprised at how well they responded to my emails because they were trying to get the sale. They were very professional and f/u on everything that they told me. I didn't buy the car that I was interested in because it was sold. I made an appointment to go see a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It took me an hour to get to this dealer and when I arrived the woman Gina that I made the appointment with was nowhere to be found. I was then informed that the vehicle I was there to test drive was sold during the day. I was home all day why was I not informed it was sold. I would not have drove all that way. I will never ever use or recommend this dealership! I think the Jeep was never even at the dealership. I think it was just a bate to get people to come in and if that is true it is really sad.

Purchased a vehicle from this dealership about a month ago.. along with a Nissan extended warranty. My vehicle shift locked 3 weeks after the purchased. I had my vehicle towed to a local dealership and they told me there was an oil leak and coolant leak! I was skeptical at first so I told the service manger at the dealership to show me himself. After I seen both leaks with my own eyes I called the Nissan warranty that I had purchased along with the vehicle. They denied my claim completely and stated the the shifter was not part of a power-train warranty and both leaks where preexisting problems. Now sure, I can accept the fact the shifter was not part of the power-train but what about an oil leak and coolant leak! They told me contact Star Nissan, because they where the ones who sold me the vehicle. I spoke with Brain Magee as he was the one who sold me the vehicle and he told me to have the vehicle towed and looked at by Star Nissan, but at my own expense! which I disagreed because Nissan Extended Services had already denied my claim and I would have just spent more money to tow the vehicle to Star Nissan. Overall I'm stuck with a $2100 dollars maintenance fee on a vehicle I had for 3 weeks! Both Star Nissan and Nissan Extended services are a joke and will just play the blame game with you! I recommend you stay away from both of them.

Brian was very helpful and did everything he could do to satisfy us as customers. He went above and beyond for service. We love our new-to-us Murano! My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the car. It looked great at first look but after getting it home we noticed lots of grime on the dash and steering wheel, dingy spots on the cloth ceiling, and crumbs, lint, and hair inside a compartment that was overlooked. We cleaned it up and I still feel good about our purchase. I look forward to driving it every day! Thanks for working with us!

I brought my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder to Star Nissan for an oil change. After completing the oil change and car wash, my car was returned damaged with major scratches on the body of the car. My car was in great shape without any scratches on it before i gave it to the hands of Star Nissan. I assume there was an issue with the car wash which damaged my car. I believe accidents happen, but Star Nissan believes accidents do not happen, and refuses to own up to its mistakes and pay for the damage that was created by them. Mr. Dave Henington whom is the service manager was extremely rude to me and just wanted to convince me that there is no way his dealership did the damage and refused to fix the damaged car. Please do not do business with Star Nissan. I went and got an estimate on the damage of my car which totaled up to $6000 which I am responsible for. Star Nissan refuses to pay for the damage, nor do they refuse to return or answer back e mails that I sent to them. Again I highly recommend not doing business with this dealership, unless you want to get ripped off by these crooks.

I wish to ensure that two (2) persons ar Star Nissan are commended on their expertise and knowledge of their respective positions. They gave me the guidance I needed in leasing my new car.The Sales person Bill Werner went above and beyond in explaining every facet of car leasing and the impact it would have on me. He sat with me through the picking of the car and the diffrent features which would benefit me and asked the important questions which put me into the correct car. Then he sat with me through the financing and explained each step of the procedure. I also had "vanity plates" and I was worried that I would lose them in the transference of going from old car to new car. I had been looking for a Nissan 350z for about a week. I had been to two dealerships prior to going to Star Nissan. The first dealership told me to buy cars somewhere else, and the second dealership lied to me over the phone about a 350z and wasted 4 hours of my day after driving to see the car. Soon after that I found Star Nissan while looking at cars online. I called to get information about the 350z and the staff was very helpful. I was set up with an app with Brian Magee. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. The best part about working with Brian was that he did not pressure me to buy anything and he did not speak to me like I was a child. I felt he was honest with me about every question I asked him. If he did not know the answer to something he would say he did not know and he would find the answer, many other salesmen would try to give me a fast made up answer. He also took his time while taking me through the car buying process. Other dealerships went very fast and that made me feel uncomfortable. I felt like other dealerships did not care about me or my business. I got the opposite feeling at Star Nissan. The entire staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional.

All dealerships are the same, but the main difference is people and service. If you are looking for a nissan dealership in the northern area of Chicago, Star nissan is the right place. Service advisor Rey S. will help you with everything. Unlike other advisors who are pushy, he's easy to talk with. He will tell you of the details and your options. The service manager Dennis B. is a cool guy. He will make you feel that he values his customers more and he's concerned of your satisfaction and nothing else. Service Advisor Adam P. is also a great guy. He's funny without even trying. My wife likes him. Star Nissan's customer lounge is very nice. They have free coffee, chocolate and a vending machine plus free wifi. A great place to stay while waiting for your car. There are no perfect people and business, but I believe when it comes to service - Star Nissan of Chicagoland is the best!!!

on 6/13/2012 i returned to Star Nissan to purchase my 3rd vehicle from them. I purchased an Audi Q7 2007 and on 6/16/2012, I began to have trouble with the vehicle. I first noticed the problem after running the A/C for most of the day Saturday. I noticed a large trail of water leaking from under the front console of the vehicle in addition to the back console as well. Shortly after the radio shorted out a few times throught the day with out notice, and third the TPMS light kept flashing. ALL of these complaints were brought to the attention of Sharif the Service Manager on Monday 6/18/2012 (5) five days after initialy purchasing the vehicle. on 6/18 the vehicle was brought into the service department around 12:00 and after speaking with Sharif and Brooks a loner car was provided to us and we were told the problems would be fixed, and a notification call would be placed once the car is complete. 6/18 evening we placed a call to Sharif and was told by Anthony Green that Sharif had left for the day. My husband,Julio Cardona then began addressing his concerns to Mr. Green the manager in charge while Sharif was out ill. The conversation went bad quickly, he bagan asking my husband if the Audi was to much car for him and what our interest rate was, and if were worring about the car payments, keep in mind we traded our Infinity QX56 2008 for this Audi 2007. My husband shortly after beign extremely offended and upset ended the conversation. On Tuesday morning 6/19, we followed up again after being told that Sharif was out ill for the day, my husband then had no other choice but to speak with Mr. Green again. He was this time addressed on several occasions as "Homie" and was told that we needed to pick up our vehicle that was just sitting in the service department, and take it to get fixed ourselves. We were also told that this was an executive decision he alone had made regarding this matter. My husband told him that this car was just puchased 6/13 and he was not about to fix something that should have been taken care of prior to even placing the car up for sale in the first plae. My husband was then told by Mr. Green that not all cars go thru an inspection prior to selling. I Thaisha Cardona decided to place a call with a general manager 6/19 which assured me none of this was ever brought to his attention. He stated that he would look into the problem and get back to me by 6/19 evening. Which brings up to 6/20 afternoon.Not only have I not heard back from the General Manager, but we have no news as to what actions are going to be taking place to fix our vehicle. I am currently in the process of consulting an attorney to get the matter resolved promptly.

Consistently great service! I have gone to this dealership on several occasions and never had a bad experience. The are always professional and courteous. The service manager, adam, and his team go out of their way to explain there work and pricing. As a retail manager I can truly appreciate the quality of the people and their work at star Nissan. When the time comes to replace my car I will be coming to this dealership as a direct result of the level of service I receive from Adam, Sean, Ian and all the other staff of the service department!

This is an update to my previous review.I went back to the dealership today for them to correct the problem with the unwanted air freshener odor. I pulled into the service bay and Greg acknowledged me, let me know that he was swamped but that he'd get to me as soon as he could.When he did come over, I told him that there was air freshener in the new filter and it needed to be corrected. Greg went back to his desk and wrote up the service ticket for the car then took it to the repair bay himself. He apologized and let me know that the car would be done in a short time.The work was completed in 20 minutes, enough time to play a few games of Angry Birds and check my e-mail. The odor was gone and I was back to enjoying the car again. This is the Star Nissan that I remember. I'll keep my guard up for a little while, just in case.

Brian Hill was friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful when I arrived for an appointment to have my 2006 Altima checked over at 62k miles - and that was after he had been dealing with two extremely obnoxious young men about payment issues with their vehicle repair. Brian kept me informed as to what was needed, presented me with a written report and answered my questions. The work was done immediately and the serviceman couldn't have been nicer.This is the first service I have had on my car since I purchased it at Star Nissan in 2006 (other than oil changes, tires, etc. done elsewhere) and I would not think twice about bringing my car back for future service - that's how impressed I was!I read some of the other reviews before I filled this one out and couldn't believe some of the people responding were even at the same dealership.

My roommate and I have both been in the market for new cars, and found this place using one of our smart phones. I test drove a Versa, he test drove a Sentra, and we were both very happy with them.Daniel Aguayo was great and almost sold me a 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback, but unfortunately the Assistant Sales Manager, Joon Choi, intervened. I was literally stunned into silence by his condescension and unprofessionalism.Mr. Choi was the only person in the place wearing a polo shirt, didn't shake my hand once, or give me business card (which I would've returned to save paper, as I will never be doing business with them or recommending their establishment).I imagine that these two sales weren't the first or the last he'll ruin while working at this dealership. At one point he mocked my "mere page" of credit history, first told me that Ford wouldn't give me 0% APR when I said I wanted to get an offer from them, then said they would give 0% APR to anyone because they're desperate to sell. Which one was it?If they were the only Nissan dealer in the country, I'd drive anything else.

After spending several hours having some things done, Adam asked if I could come back another day so they could repair something the damaged in the first place. He assured me they would get me in and out in less than an hour. This was a big concern I expressed in advance because I didn't want to have to take a day off from work. When I returned a couple days later I waited over an hour before the came to tell me they might not be able to get to my car that day. After waiting a couple more hours they finally finished the simple repair. There really was no apology or regret that they didn't live up to their promise. I did not ask to see the manager because in the half-day I spent there I saw him repeatedly fielding complaints and each time he just shrugged his shoulders and made the clients feel like it was their fault and not the dealerships. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

I was flabbergast on how a salesman wanting to try to sell a person a car could have been so unprofessional in the way he acted and looked. I drove four hours from Wisconsin and was told I would not be dispointed, I was from the get go. Denise tried to smooth things out, she was great but the damage was already done. Sorry Denise!!

Great experience overall. Price quoted was honored, great deal on trade. Everyone was friendly and very professional. After a few emails, deal was done in about an hour. Facility itself was impressive -- large, attractive and comfortable. Will definately recommend Star Nissan.

They totally sucked!! This was our first car purchase and they totally screwed us over and played every game in the book. We were young and foolish and were taken in by their scams... We bought the car and when we got home the lights didn't work and we had to argue for them to even fix it! whenever we go back there to fix our car (a lemon) they treat us like trash. Because of them i will NEVER buy a Nissan again. Bad customer service overall.... Not only did they lose my business, but ALL my friends/acquaintances/ and everyone I encounter who wants to buy a car! BEWARE!!!! I do not want anyone else going through what we did.... run run. run and don't look back even if they say they are giving you the best price.... its not worth it...

What rip offs.They know all the trick and scams. run out!At closing time after a few day of playing around by them, they said they made a $2000 dollar mistake while adding up the cost. I had a bankers check in my hand for the amount of we agreed on. I walked out. I got my car from Martin Nissan just a few mile north of there. No B.S. fair prices. and no games!

DO NOT BUY FROM STAR NISSAN AT ANY COST!I bought a used car from Star Nissan (2005 Xterra) and they key they provided did not open the back door. When I noticed the key did not work I took it to Star Nissan and asked if they could fix it. They told me to call the sales Manager Joe Topor. I called Joe Topor (the sales Manager) and he offered to give another key fob (automatic door opener) but what I need is for the key to work. He said I had noticed it too late and he cold not do anything else for me. I asked to speak with someone else and he referred me to Chuck Settles (the supposed owner). I called and spoke with Chuck and he said to talk to his Service guy Joe and assured me he would be there the following Saturday. I explained that Joe had told me to talk to him instead. Chuck insisted that I talk to Joe. The following Saturday I went to the dealer and Joe would not speak to me. I over head him saying "I'm not talking to the F-ing guy I already talked to that F-ing guy, F-him.I was asked to talk to Bill Kloster instead (the supposed used car director) I sat down with Bill and explained the situation and asked if he could fix the lock, he said he could not fix the lock because I had noticed the problem too late (8 months since I bought it). He said that the reason why the lock would not open was because there was something stuck in there, I asked how he knew that, not having looked at the car, but he insisted there was something stuck in there. I told him this is how they had sold me the car and asked again if they could fix it. He said all he could do for me was a discount of the repair price, I said i could pay $50.00 for the repair.He said it would cost way more tan that and because of that he would not even look up the prices. I asked again to get the car fixed and he assured me that he did not owe me anything. I left there and contacted the BBB and explained my story, after the BBB contacted Star Nissan Bill Kloster called me and left me an email and phone message telling me that he had reconsidered and asked me to call him to arrange a time to fix the lock. I sent him a reply and asked him to either send me an e-mail or to put down on paper stating that the repair would be of no cost to me. He ignored my e-mail. I called him to arrange a time and he said he was withdrawing his offer because I was not happy with the previous arrangement. I said that I would not be happy until he put it on paper. By now the BBB had considered the case closed because of the phone call and e-mail I got from Bill Kloster. I called the BBB back and explained what had happened and they reopened the case. Bill KLoster has ignored me and the BBB up to this point. I'm still trying to get the lock fixed. Keep in Mind that I bought an extended warranty from Star Nissan that is supposed to cover everything until 2012 or 84000 miles. My odometer reads 46K miles and it's 2009. There should be no problem for Star Nissan to fix the lock, expecially since they sold it to me this way. Star Nissan is the definition of bad service.DO NOT BUY FROM STAR NISSAN AT ANY COST!

Ever been treated with disrespect by Star Nissan Service Department?Please excuse my grammar, I am mad.1.Got there at 9:00 am in the morning on November 24, 2008 gave Marcell my information and immediately he stated your warranty just expired in September 2008.2.I stated that I would like my car diagnosed because my car was running cold. I mention that it maybe a transmission problem.3.Marcell stated okay we will take a look at it I asked if someone could take me home and he said sure. Marcell told the porter to take me home in my car. I stated, My car wow my car is broken. Red flag4.I called the dealer ship at 11:00 am asking if they located the problem and Marcell said no.5.I called at 12:45 asking if they located the problem, I was told no by another gentleman.6.Shortly after Marcell called stating that I had over $1100 in damages. I asked him to give me a quote for three of the important damages and he said $780, I said go ahead and fix my car. I then call Toyota asking about my warranty. Toyota said yes you still have a warranty. I called Marcell back and told him to stop the work (within 10 minutes), and he said okay, I also mention again that I have a warranty. He stated again, No your warranty has expired. I told him to call Toyota warranty department to verify the warranty. He did and he found that my warranty had not expired.7.After Marcell talked to Toyota he called and stated that Toyota warranty only covered the air condition unit. I told him that I will give him a call back in 10 minutes; I wanted to dispute the claim with the warranty department. 8.I called the warranty department and my brother, warranty would not cover the total damages and my brother told me to go and get my car from Nissan because they were being dishonest.. 9.I call Marcell and told him that I was coming to get my car to take it back to Toyota. Marcell asked my why and I told him that Toyota misrepresented my warranty. Marcell then stated well we all ready started on your car, and I stated why, I told him not to start on my car.10.I called the police and they told me that it was a civil matter and they were not going to get involved, after playing and joking around with Marcell.11.I then asked for a service manager who eventually told me that I was a liar and that he is sick and tired of women crying to him. He said that Star Nissan was his family and they did nothing wrong. I seeking legal advice or help12.When I picked up my car Nissan had performed all services on my car including the air conditioning repair (never discuss with Nissan or said yes, fix the a.c., something I never agreed to. They tricked me out of $755.00 in one day. They would not release my car unless I paid for the services that I never agreed for them to perform.

THE MOST PROFESSIONAL STAFF EVER!!! I bought a lot of luxury cars & i was never treated in such professional manner. Every review i read was only bad & i finally realized that happy people are enjoying their cars instead of leaving reviews online. So i took time to let everyone know how happy i am with Star Nissan. I shopped 8 dealers,was dealing with a bunch of "retards" and finally found what i was looking for-honesty,professionalizm,outstanding customer service. Not only they made me feel like i was buying a "Bentley" but up untill this day (i bought my Nissan 6 months ago) they are making sure i am completely satisfied. Amazing product knowledge,amazing professionalizm and people skills. Of course i had to negotiate but it was done at a very professional level,unlike most car dealers in the area. They always provide FREE loaner upon my request! I will continue buying cars from Star Nissan and let ALL my friends know how happy our family is for making this decision.

I just bought a car here and would not recommend them to anyone. When I asked if they could meet the price another dealer guaranteed, they said yes. But once I arrived and we got down to the details, they did not want to honor the price. They tried to disguise this by saying that the agree upon price included all possible incentives, including a discount for recent college grads. Yet, I had already informed them that I would not qualify for that discount. They wanted to add the $500 back on to the agreed upon price. They also did not make it clear that you could either get the low rate financing or the incentives, but not both.I also found the financing guy to be really horrible. After I declined the warranty he tried to push on me, he got all moody and pissy. Everything was slammed drawers, loudly ripped forms, etc. THEN he "accidentally" typed up the lease agreement to include the warranty even though I'd declined it. When I paused to look over the paperwork, he said, "Oops! That's the wrong amount."Finally, the sales manager tried to act helpful in resolving the issues, but I found him insincere and pedantic. I did end up buying the car there only because they finally agreed on the previous price. But the experience was unpleasant... I would not buy from them again.

I give zero stars for service at this "Nissan" authorized service center. Dennis the technician who worked on my car was "clueless", the Service Manager - Richard Vasquez, instead of acknowledging the issue and trying to resolve it reasonably, tried to defend the tech for his incompetence even when the tech acknowledged his mistake. Richard then calls me a "liar" and when I complain at his attitude says - I don't care for your business at this service center or your sales at the dealership ! I gave the service center ample opportunity to resolve the issue.I am disputing the $650.00 charge on my credit card. Reporting this issue to the BBB, and to as many regulatory bodies as possible, complaining to the Nissan USA network and publicize this complete case of incompetent, rude, and insolent service. As is evident I will make myself heard in as many forums as possible, and if it needs to be taken to the small claims court so be it.

Went to service for a oil change. The service personal told me that I needed a major service. I told her that it can wait for a few more miles before I can do it, she would not accept that and kept telling me that I need it. I told her that I went to a different dealer and got the 15k service, she actually called that dealer to confirm. She would not accept a no for an answer. I almost walked out to go somewhere else, but I spoke to the manager instead. Later she came back telling me that my O2 sensor was bad and it would cost $350. What a rip off. She replaced my wipers because she said it was cracked. I replaced the wipers 3 weeks ago. I will never go there again.

Several years ago I drove out to Star to look at some cars advertised online. I found a Maxima that I liked and the price was good. I asked the sales person if he knew anything about the previous owner and he said he did not. At that time I did not consider using CarFAX to check on the car.After buying the car a friend ran the VIN for me through CarFAX and it came up as a previous rental car. Again, my mistake for not checking but I would never buy a rental! We ran the VIN's of most of the cars listed online and they were all rentals.To be fair, they are in business to make money, but I feel like I was misled when the sales person said he didn't know about the previous owner. He surely knows that they're selling rental cars. After owning the car for a while several problems became apparent and I attribute most of them to lack of maintenance and abuse from use as a rental.I had to have a key re-programmed for the car and service said to just come in without an appointment and they would take care of me. That visit took an hour - most of which my car just sat. On another visit for a hood that fluttered on the highway, I was told it needed an adjustment that would cost $70. I bought the "Gold" warranty for $1200 but they refused to cover this...And finally, after owning the car for several months I received a letter from the dealership, in a dealership envelope and on dealership letterhead. It was the salesman telling me of his real estate business, and how much he would enjoy having my business if I was shopping for a home. <Insert your opinion of this practice here>If you want to buy a car used as a rental, and don't mind the fact that people driving it before you didn't take care of it, shop at Star. I cannot comment on their new car sales, but my service experience was poor enough that I would not go back there. Service at Bill Kay Nissan in Downers Grove is far superior.
