I bought a "new to me" Honda Crosstour from Subaru of Gainesville. I was treated with courtesy, and respect. They were able to help me well, because they listened well. I had narrowed my search to this car and one at another dealership. My expectations were realistic but specific,, and I got the outcome I had hoped for with this dealership. I am so happy with this car and with the experience. Thanks!

I loved the new Impreza I purchased from Subaru of Gainesville in 2015. After a wreck where the vehicle was totaled I purchased a certified pre-used 2014 Forester with 22,000 miles from Schumacher Subaru of West Palm Beach. Since it was certified it had warranty still available being that it was under 36k miles. When I took it in to have the air conditioning serviced Bc it began to blow hot, I was informed in a very passive aggressive manner that a dent in the metal cage caused the Ac to be broken and therefore not covered. The dent was, however the same on two sides of the cage , but apparently the mechanic (Cliff White) didn't see that one. When I asked why the mirroring dent was not also responsible for the damage , the mechanic just repeated in an annoyed manner - "no it's this one , this is not covered under warranty." The service associate (Marty McKnew) then stated that with the 28 years experience the mechanic had, he clearly knew that this dent was the cause of an entire Ac unit blowing hot. I asked why it was that I couldn't see how a dent , that was too small to actually cause damage and being that the cage had performed it's job to block a piercing blow to the Ac unit wasn't covered under warranty. The answer I received was "it's going to cost you about $870 to fix." So therefore the long story should tell you that they have no interest in honoring agreements by Subaru and they are indeed in it just to harass , insult, passive aggressively "inform" on obviously false evidence, and crookedly shake hardworking people of dollars. Even when I asked if I could get a few other opinions and bring it back I got a "well we would be happy to stand behind our observation" basically ensuring the vehicle will never fall under warranty. The very concept of a small dent that showed no indicating of any piercing object could cause a massive repair is absurd. If you know anything about an AC condenser, it is not connected in anyway to the cage protecting the freon lines in a manner that would result in such damage. It's actually off to the side of the cage and so if there was any sort of piercing, it would have to be with purpose and directed onto the condenser. The condenser itself is made of aluminum and would require something of an intense/sharp penetrating move by a .22 or ice pick to pierce.The basic idea here is spend $30,000 dollars with this company because you like the product, and Subaru of Gainesville will do nothing to assist you in keeping it going.

We purchased our new Subaru Forester at Subaru of Gainesville. We went in to test drive the car and ended up purchasing it. Only dealt with our sales consultant, Tim Gittinger, there were no other managers who put pressure on you to buy. Tim was very professional, answered all our questions, went over every feature of the car. Best car buying experience of my life and I am in my 60's. Would definitely recommend Subaru of Gainesville and would buy from them again. Got a great deal too!

We purchased a new Subaru Forrester earlier this week, a few days after a couple of visits to the dealership to learn about the car, test drive etc. Tim Gittinger, our salesperson, was both personable and knowledgeable and, even better, never made us feel pressured to come to a quick decision. He even accommodated our request to not contact us over the weekend while we thought things through--something we had not experienced with other dealerships. Other staff we met and worked with were equally pleasant.

I purchased a new Outback on March 19 from Jared Roberts, and the experience was actually pleasurable! Jared and in fact all the people we encountered were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was greeted with a hand shake .The salesman Tim Gittinger was very pleasant to work with as well as the rest of the staff .He didn't try to get into something I didn't want need or couldn't afford which made me feel comfortable .My wife and I left the dealership with the vehicle that we wanted and also knowing that we were well taking care of and we were not just another sale .

My husband and I purchased a new Subaru Forester today. The whole experience was extremely pleasant. The whole staff is very friendly and professional. Noah Daigen went over the top to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. The facility is very clean,modern and customer friendly. We'll definitely do more business with Subaru.

Subaru of Gainesville in particular (Tim G) gave my mother outstanding service and a flawless purchase experience when purchasing her 2015 Crosstrek Hybrid. She said it was a better experience than the BMW dealership, so that says a lot. Subaru of Gainesville gave her a great vehicle at a great price, they were attentive and so nice. They even came to her attention when her car battery died in a parking lot and came right away. The dealership is very clean and an uplifting experience, so it's a no brainer to purchase a vehicle at this retailer. Subaru is a "hot" brand right now and receiving the best awards and reviews so don't think twice when pulling the trigger at Subaru of Gainesville!

My review is based on working with Steven Matthews (sales person) and Rachel Collins (finance director).First let me say that both Steven and Rachel were so kind in their dealings with me. I can be quite talkative, either in telling stories or asking questions. They laughed at my jokes, answered my questions and were generally as cordial as a trail angel. For the sake of you, the reader, I will make this short and sweet. I had been looking for a 2014 Outback w/leather seats in the Jacksonville area for over a month. I knew getting the car at a price that I would be comfortable with was near impossible, but I wanted the 2014 stylings. By chance I began investigating every Subaru dealership from Miami to Charlotte and was fortunate to find a 2013 at Subaru of Gainesville. Steven and I initially chatted online, which eventually moved to text messaging. I made the car buyer mistake of offering up a desired monthly payment, but this did not impact my dealings with Steven. Explaining to him the monthly payment was contingent upon vehicle cost and financing rate, Steven worked to get me into a contract that made us both winners.When the conversation required it I called Steven, who was as friendly on the phone as he was in text, and as how he would be in person. I was very up front with Steven, letting him know in a polite but general way that I wanted our dealing to be one of character. I'd prefer to do this with a handshake if possible. Everything Steven sent me was without nuance, coercion or deception. When my ride from Jacksonville dropped me off, and subsequently left before the papers were signed, I had no concern that Steven would back off past statements. By the time I got into financing with Rachel the friendly atmosphere was extended, and at no point did Rachel try to convince me to buy something I said no to. She explained what I was signing and why I was signing it. We even got into some fun legal aspects of how the business works.This was a positive experience from top to bottom. Steven and Rachel represented the Subaru brand with high praise. Their character and personality will bring me back to this dealership.It's also worth noting their snacks also fit into the Subaru customer base. Clif and Kind Bars. Trail mix. Apples and oranges. And when Steven told me the coffee was the best I might ever drink, he wasn't lying. If you don't live in Gainesville it's worth the drive.

Once I decided I was interested in buying a Subaru BRZ, I filled out the "Build and Price" section of the Subaru website. From there, Ian Peebles, Sales Consultant at Subaru of Gainesville, contacted me via email and voicemail. From his messages, I immediately felt at ease and excited about my future purchase. His warm, friendly demeanor and interest in my satisfaction as a customer along with his best offer (including an invoice to my specifications) made me take the trip to Gainesville from Clermont (a drive of over an hour and a half despite closer dealerships). During my first trip to their site, I admired the friendly staff disposition, the clean facilities, the hospitality, and the customer care. Ian worked very hard to find me the exact 2015 model that I was looking for (which meant trailering one from Mobile, AL). During the process, Ian kept in constant contact, even emailing me pictures of my vehicle as it arrived at the dealership and as it received additional accessories (such as the rear diffuser) in their shop. When I arrived to sign the final paperwork, the staff all celebrated with me and conveyed their excitement for my purchase. The financing process was quick and flawless thanks to Rachel Collins who is absolutely terrific in personality and extremely efficient at paperwork! Everyone answered all my questions throughout the process. Ian gave me a thorough tour of the options on my vehicle, posed for some fun pics with me and my new BRZ, and I was happily on my way so pleased with the car buying experience for once! I would stand 100% behind the quality level of care I received at this location.

I contacted Subaru of Gainesville via email and Tim Gittinger, who was quick to respond to all of my inquiries. I was buying a used VW GTI and traded in a Ford Focus. They gave me a great deal on my trade after only one round of negotiations. Rachel secured a loan for me that had a lower APR than my existing loan! I honestly didn't even try to negotiate a lower price on the used car I was buying because it was already thousands of dollars below KBB value. The employees here were all in a great mood and this experience was not a hassle to me at all. Tim even sent me home with a baggie of dog treats for my great dane who also sat in on the whole experience!Bravo and cheers to you all!

I recently purchased a Subaru Outback from Subaru of Gainesville. Steven Matthews was our salesperson and he did an outstanding job. I couldn't be happier. He was very knowledgeable about the Subarus, helpful and no pressure Easy to deal with! :) Rachel Collins in Finance is seriously efficient. She made the purchase process quick and easy. WENT TO A SUBARU DEALER BOTH TO THE NORTH & SOUTH OF MY HOME IN BELLEVIEW FL BEFORE GOING TO GAINSVILLE--LIKED THE VEHICLES BUT THE SALES STAFF WAS TOO MUCH IN A HURRY & WHEN IT CAME TO PAPERWORK SOMEONE ELSE CAME IN & TOOK OVER NOT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT I WANTED & HAD ALREADY DISCUSED WITH THE SALESPERSON. THEN I WENT TO GAINSVILLE STEVEN ,THE MANAGER, RACHAEL, MR WALKER IN SERVICE(NO RELATION) & EVEN OTHER SALES STAFF & THEIR CUSTOMERS WERE FRIENDLY. I MET ANOTHER CUSTOMER I SEEN AT ONE OF THE OTHER DEALERSHIPS I WENT PRIOR & SHE SAID TO ME "IT WAS REALLY WORTH THE EXTRA MILES TO GET HERE" I REPLIED "YOU GOT THAT RIGHT ON" MY CAR IS NOT YET 1 MONTH OLD & THIS WEEK-END MY DAGHTER & MR PURCHASED AN OUTBACK ALSO-FROM STEVE--SAME WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.EILEEN WALKER

My 2002 Legacy had problems after a major repair by a local independent mechanic. I returned it to them and they insisted there was no problem. I took it to Gainesville Subaru and their mechanic Cliff found causes for the problems and repaired them. My car now runs better than it has in years. A good Subaru mechanic is worth his weight in gold.

There was no pressure and the explanations of everything helped to make our decision.Staff was very friendly and finance area made leasing a car painless. Have not dealt with serviceyet so I can not comment on that area. I liked the way there was no beating around the bushjust straight numbers. The price of leasing a top end car was not bad considering we had a trade in that we owed on. Steven Matthews was a great help.

Antisocial, toxic dealership make me and two other friends with Subarus less interested in buying Subarus in the future. Disappointing for what seemed a good national brand. Three years ago I didn't notice this so much.

It is like a Chinese water torture to have to go here and deal with this amateurish place or come home and hear how family members were mistreated by these people. They are spoiling for an argument and looking for a problem to create every time you go. If you have to deal with them say as little as possible and maybe you will be ok. Better yet, move closer to another dealership.
