We were in the market for a new truck and saw the Sunset Chevrolet had one. I answered an online ad and got a call the next morning inviting me down to take a look. I said that I was too far away to just come down and look, that I needed a reason to drive 90 minutes to come and see the truck. The salesman did not want to give me a price, so I thanked him and said if he decided to share a price and give me a reason to make the drive, that I would consider it. A couple of minutes later, Justin called back and was great! he had numbers and said he'd beat the best offer I had to date by $500. So we went down the next day and Justin hooked us up with Sean Stead, and we couldn't be happier. i would recommend both Sean and Justin to anyone looking for a car. They made a usually painful experience great for us. love these guys and love the dealership. We also found Scott, in finance to be gracious and helpful as well. As I said before, this process is not known as being enjoyable, but Sunset Chevrolet, along with Sean, Justin and Scott made it a great event and a great purchase for us.Bob & Di

My Mother-in-Law was in the market for a new car. We knew that we wanted an SUV but had no idea what make model etc. Sammy was our salesman (I have worked with him in the past) he took his time and drove us to the different lots that they have with a wide variety of new and used cars. I gave them 1 star because I couldn't give them a lower rating. Worst car buying experience ever. Long story short the screwed me over pretty good and when I called them on it I got "this isn't our first rodeo see you in court" the way they do business it doesn't surprise me that they are use to seeing people in court. Save yourself the nightmare and shop elswhere!

This review is of the Puyallup Truck Center on River RoadThe purchase of a used vehicle was pretty well done. "Lifetime" oil changes are a good incentive. But, when you go back for help, not much is offered.I was sold an insurance plan that offered to replace a lost key, once per year. When I lost one, called the finance person who sold the policy and could not get her to call back. So, I asked for one to be made at the Sumner service facility, I was charged for it. She finally responded that I had to submit an insurance claim to have a "free" key replacement.I was also offered free car washes, but the washer seems to be away most of the times that I have stopped and it will "be a bit of a wait...."

I took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. When it was complete, I paid and returned to my vehicle. I had scrubbed the curb, so knew the tire location before having the service done. Come to find out that scrubbed tire was in the same location. So I returned into the dealer to notify them I was charged for a tire rotation and the service was not performed. They talked to the tech. and provided me with some excuses that it was waiting for the lift, and having new people and paperwork brought to her....somehow my truck was brought around front and signed off that service was "complete". I simply asked for a refund and will get the service done elsewhere.

I don't know if it's luck or by design, but Ian Bran generally oversees my visits to Sunset Chevrolet. I was not sure if my iPod would connect to my car and Ian patiently guided me through the steps to connect it and to adjust it for the best sound. Service dept is good, traffic jam to get into service desk is a real hassle. The sales guys couldn't tell me how to use the remote to fold in the power mirrors on my 2015 3500HD, and said it wasn't an option. Figured it out on my own though, it's a nice option a sales team should learn so they can tell new Owner.

It is obvious that he truly cares not only about you as a person, but in benefiting the world every day that he can. I didn't think I would ever say this about a car salesman, but DJ has an amazing soul, an amazing presence, and leaves no doubt in you that you are going to be well taken care of by him. It felt as if I was working with a long-time friend, and not someone I had just met.Mike Hayburn: Financing - As if my time with DJ wasn't great enough, Mike continued the excellent interaction on by going above and beyond to find me a loan provider that gave me an excellent loan payment and a better interest rate than what I had been able to acquire on my own! The relationship that he has with lending institutions is next to mythical, and I am very confidant that I would not have been able to buy the car that I did if it had not been for Mike. He even kept me updated as to the status of my loan proceedings days after I had signed all the paperwork, and made me feel as if I was a top priority of his.Colton : Service - After buying my car I noticed that the brakes were a little shaky when decelerating from high speeds. Since I had to bring the car back to have some warranty work done anyways, I asked if the brakes could be addressed as well. Juan took time out of his day to drive me from Sumner to Sea Tac, did it with a smile, and wouldn't even accept the tip that I wanted to give him. SALESMAN WENT BACK TO SALES MANAGER AND CAME BACK WITH A FULL PRICE QUOTE MINUS REBATE FOR A 2015 VEHICLE. I CAN BUY 2016'S FROM OTHER DEALERS FOR $8000-$10000 OFF MSRP. I had my check engine light go on and the stabilitrak light flashing on the dash. I took the suburban to orileys to get the check engine light code checked and found that # 4 cylinder was miss firing. I took the 2008 Subaru to Sunset service department on 02/23. Colten told me there was 137 charge to have the code checked and it would go towards repair. I had to a trip planned and need the vehicle checked. After having suburban all day I found that they could not make the miss fire happen again. I picked the vehicle up drove home and it happened to me. This was 20 miles from the Sunset Sumner. I was going to bring it back the next day but it seemed to run better. The next day I was to leave. While driving the suburban I started hearing a lifter noise. I checked the oil while waiting for the service department to call me back. There was none on the dip stick. You would thing that 137 dollar diagnostic charge would be at least checking the oil. I called left a message for the service manager. It will be a week and still no return call. Caring about customers start at the top. With no call back I think I understand why the rest of the team does not care. About providing good customer service.

I feel things went well. Steve Bishop my salesman was helpful giving me information and was very personable. No pressure and he took his time with me. He went out of his way in my opinion setting up my OnStar and my iPhone to the car as well. He's a car guy so I related and got along with him great. Absolutely do not buy a vehicle from Sunset Chevrolet. The individuals in sales are great, but you will be severely disappointed once you have to work with their service department. I have had my truck in for service, and almost every visit was a nightmare. 1 visit was an oil change where they also wanted to update my instrument cluster. The technician fried my instrument cluster and I was without my truck for almost 2 weeks. Another visit, I was delayed because my vehicle was blocked in and I couldn't get out. Another visit I noticed my wheel cap was missing and I had to drive all the way back to Sunset to order a replacement cap. The last visit was the final straw. My Silverado was leaking above the drivers side visor. I called to make an appointment, and they needed me to wait 4 or 5 days because they were backed up. The good news was Andy their technician seemed to know exactly what the problem was (XM antennae). When I brought the truck in for service, I was told they would need it for 2 to 3 days. When I asked why, I was told they still have a backup, and in case it wasn't the antennae, they would need time to trouble shoot. I checked my truck in, and was then told it would be a 20 to 25 minute wait for my rental car. 45 minutes later, I went back to the service counter to find the rental car rep chatting with the technicians. I insisted on getting my truck back, and drove away with nothing repaired. I called Gilchrist Chevrolet in Tacoma, and they got me in the next day. What would have taken Sunset Chevrolet 2 to 3 days to fix, took Gilchrist 2 hrs. Gilchrist got my truck right in, fixed the leak around my antennae, performed a recall service on my 4 wheel drive system, and changed my oil in less than 2 hrs. Lifetime oil changes is not worth the pain and frustration of dealing with the Sunset Chevrolet service department. I will pay for the oil changes and take my truck to a true 5 star service department at Gilchrist Chevrolet.

I know selling a car is all about the numbers...and we did experience this while buying our vehicle. Mark researched the purchase and had it all figured out on what we could spend. He went in with his absolute best deal and we were turned away. No deal making, no "lets talk about it". Basically a "not interested". But since it is all a numbers game...they called the next day to "make it work". This is the one thing we have always disliked about buying a vehicle. Good partner vs bad partner. "He couldn't make it work, but I talked to the owner and he said to call you back and make it work". Other than that "game" we had a great experience.

I know everybody has an off day but a service writer should always be courteous. The last time I had my Silverado in for service, I ask a couple questions and all I got was negativity and talked down too. I have had a very good experience previous, I drive 40 miles each way to get to Sunset and the experience of purchasing was outstandingbut I think a service writer needs to Represent the dealership and I am very displeased.

I am Honestly; unexpectedly...very pleased with the way I've been treated. I've only been in twice, the most recent on the 15th for an un-announced oil change and about 30 miles from going over. I was finally able to get down to your shop but still had things I needed to do, so Mr. Kinman and Tony set it up for me to have a vehicle. For me, the face of the dealership is the person I meet at the service desk. In my case, that Ian. He never fails to remember who I am whether it's on the phone or in person. I like the "feel" of the dealership in that there is a sense of life to the place. Nobody is standing around with their hands in their pockets. From the nice guy who keeps the place tidy, to the people who answer the phone, to the people at the service desk, the dealership has the feel of a place where there is a sense of professionalism. It's worth my drive from downtown Seattle to keep my contact with Sunset Chevrolet.

I bought a "Certified" 2012 GMC Yukon XL. Got it home, a two hour drive, and discovered several issues that hadn't been resolved. I had been told that a leak in the engine compartment had been fixed, yet the transmission line was leaking and needs replacement. A leaking headlight was to have been replaced, but wasn't. Taillights on one side were out. An interior door panel needs to be replaced, an exterior panel needs to have some clips repositioned, and some other interior trim needs repair. Several of these items were identified and was told that they would be taken care of before we were to leave the dealership originally. 10 days since purchase, no call backs, no support whatsoever. Now using a GM dealership close to home and will incur approximately $1700 in repairs and corrections. Some of it is my own fault for not pursuing more aggressively, but reassured by salesperson that they would take care of issues, obviously not, since communication has been primarily one-way and they have been virtually unresponsive. I would not recommend this dealership in anyway, shape, or form other than "buyer beware."This is to follow up on their lack of follow through. Filed a complaint with General Motors and got a couple of calls, but no real action. When Sunset had called about the problems the vehicle was already in a Real General Motors facility where the work was being done. It turns out that this place (Sunset Chevrolet) is worse than originally thought, they not only didn't fix the transmission leak, but also missed a coolant leak. By the way, there was service sticker from Sunset indicating that the vehicle had been serviced, I wonder what they did besides put a sticker in the windshield to tell you when the next service was due, because obviously nothing safety related was done. My final bill for repairs was over $1800 and over $900 was for parts that should have been installed by Sunset Chevrolet prior to the sale of the vehicle to me. All of this is on top of being told by the salesman that Sunset does approximately $2000 worth of repairs and maintenance to their quality used cars to make sure that they're in pristine condition for the new owner. Thanks to Ruddell in Port Angeles, we now have the vehicle we should have had over two weeks ago. To top it all off, it's not a "Certified" GM product. Sunset is very dishonest and unethical and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

My experience buying me car was fantastic but the next day i realized my Stereo was not working so when I took it in to get fixed no one took the time to look at my stereo while I was there to make sure it was no t my error instead they gave me a loan car and sent me on my way. Then there was no communication on what was going on with my car.

The service team is outstanding! The parts guy (Jack) is not doing the dealership any favors with his lack of salesmanship or take it or leave it approach to add on accessory sales. The Internet has a much better approach to serving your customers than I found thru your parts department. I guess you prefer to hold your high margins and keep your sales at the level you have instead of being more competitive and retaining customers that could by at the dealership if you were willing to compete.

The salesperson ordered my vehicle and it was delivered earlier than expected. However the 4G wifi hotspot was not functioning. The salesperson got the brand new from the factory vehicle in to be serviced. The service people changed out a module. It still was not functioning when I returned to pick it up and had to be serviced again. The problem is Onstar says their system does not show my vehicle equipped with 4G hotspot. I am able to use the hotspot now but Onstar still does not recognize my vehicle having 4G capability. This is my first time buying Chevy and I can't recommend anyone buy a Chevy due to the experience I had. No fault to the dealership this is a manufacturing or software error.

We had a great experience at Sunset Chevrolet. We went there to have our 2003 corvette serviced for the first time and were treated like it was our regular dealership. The staff was very prompt and got to us as soon as we pulled in. While we were waiting we decided to continued our search for a new corvette. Matthew Bradfield our sales person came to us and welcomed us. He was very informative and helpful at showing us the cars that were available and was never pushy at anytime. It was great to work with Matt because he listened to us and what we wanted to consider in our search. We left that morning knowing our 2003 was being taken care of and with answers to our questions about a new 2016 corvette. Later that day we were called with a very detailed description of what needed to be done to repair our 2003. All of our questions were answered thoroughly about our options for repairs. We had left Sunset earlier that day with the information we needed about the new corvette we were interested in. Once again we never felt pressured to buy a new car, but were given the answers we needed to feel comfortable in negotiating with Matt since we had decided to trade up to a new 2016 corvette. My wife and I are grateful for the professional way Matt and the rest of the people at Sunset helped us to bring our new corvette to it's place in our lives. We look forward to our future use of Sunset for our driving needs.

I was advised that I could have a coolant leakage so I scheduled a visit for next week on the 4th so I was wondering if I had warranty coverage. I was advised that I would have to bring it in and sign a work order which costs $65 dollars and then they would find out. I started my search on the internet and had five or six dealers looking for a 2015 Tahoe LS and about three came up with quotes that we very close. I chose to visit Sunset Chevrolet since they offered a Lifetime Power Train Warranty. I met Sean who stood in for DJ and the Tahoe they offered was a metallic ice silver and after looking at the color it was not what I wanted. We lookt at other Tahoes they had so I could see the various colors but they were all LT models so we went back to doing a search of what inventory was available in them market. Sean was happy to show me the listing with cost and details of each vehicle so I could pick which one fit my budget and preferences. We eneded up with a vehicle located in Spokane and he said they could have in ready in less than a week so we made a deal.I was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I have had in my 50 years of owning cars.

I had been trying for a few weeks to get my 6,000 mile service scheduled. The first time they wanted me to wait over 10 days to schedule. The second time was this past Saturday, and they told me I had to wait over a week. I offered to leave my vehicle if they would give me a loaner. I was told no you don't offer loaners for this service, and all a 6,000 mile service is, is an oil change and tire rotation. She also said that they always schedule oil changes out at least a week. To say the least I was not happy with the response or the attitude. It felt like was being told to shut up and deal with it. I drove away very unhappy and very upset. Once I calmed down I realized that maybe your management staff didn't realize how customers were being treated? Maybe they didn't even realize that they had such a back log for oil changes. I then went to your website and found a link to send you an email. I explained the situation and why I was so unhappy. Within a half hour I received a phone call from Toby. He was very apologetic and offered to make it right. In my view he did so and maybe a little more. It sounds like you have some real issues currently with your ability to perform oil changes in a reasonable time, but you are working on it, and if I can't get what I need it sounds like I have somebody I can turn to for help.

I went to Sunset for their reputation and Warranty Protection for Life Program. I met with Shawn and he did a great job finding out exactly what I've been searching for. Although, they didn't have the exact truck there that day, Shawn kept in touch with me as they got new stuff in. About a week and a half later he sent me some pics and info via text on a 1 owner Duramax that they just got in on trade. I made it down after work and made a deal! Shawn made the process easy and is a true professional. He even put me in a loaner car until my truck was finished getting through the safety inspection and detail. Awesome service from start to finish!

I usually have an appt but this time I didn't. I was grateful to be able to drop the car off and get the oil changed. I was informed there was a routine maintenance issue and a recall issue that needed tending to also. The only hitch that I encountered was that I had asked to have my car washed and vacuumed because we had just driven in from Yakima the night before and it was filthy. I was told that that could and would be done. I was thrilled. When I picked it up, it was still dirty. I would have understood if I had been told No to the washing, but it was disappointing to be told Yes and then not to have it be done.

Wasted two trips to this dealership to be ignored and treated unprofessionally. First trip I drive all the way out from Gig Harbor (about 45 minutes), nobody helps me, including DJ, the salesmen who told me to come out. So I drive on to work and get stuck in the worst traffic. DJ convinces me to come back out and I do. We look at some trucks and I like a couple and decide to talk numbers and have them pull my credit. My scores were in the financing realm, so we do the normal salesman running back to the manager stuff. He comes back with numbers that are astronomical for the trucks I was looking at and didn't budge on any of the prices, sky high interest rate, and a pitiful amount for a perfect condition in demand trade in. Obviously I say no and he runs back to the manager. Well, I have to get to work, so we shake hands and he says he will get back in touch with me to finish the deal. The next day he sends me a flyer that shows they have dropped the prices of their vehicles about $6000 bucks and would not budge with me a day earlier??? No calls, no answers to my emails or texts in response to this ad. Still no responses to separate calls or emails 3 days later. This dealership is very unprofessional, just lost a potential "Chevy Guy" customer for life, and DJ was one of the most unprofessional salesmen I have ever worked with. I would not waste your time with this "old school tactics" dealership. It's amazing they are even still in business with much better options and prices right down the road.

I am very unhappy with the service I have received at Sunset Chevrolet. All I am looking for is exactly the truck I have, only two years newer. To be offered $8,500 for a 2004 and then be quoted $30,000-$40,000 for 2006's, most of which were not the luxury model like mine is, that is absolutely asinine. I can't imagine how you get anyone to fall for a deal like that. You have lost mine and my husband's business, which is unfortunate for you. After we found a truck we would be looking for a new Jeep around the first of the year. I will also tell all of my friends and family about this unpleasant experience and encourage them to shop elsewhere. When I hear the name Sunset Chevrolet the only thing that will come to mind is this awful experience and how much of a financial scam Sunset is.Sunset is not the only dealership that gives warranty's and free life time oil changes, in fact I am receiving this from the dodge dealership I am purchasing my new truck from. Sunset has the WORST customer service I have yet to deal with. Sunsets' ad's portray this positive demeanor, but that is far from what I experienced, Sunset's values and morals are a scam. Sunset enjoys cheating people out of their hard-earned money.

My primary purpose for the visit was to change my oil and filter with a secondary purpose to check my dash lights. Most of the time was devoted to the lights which appear to be working, but on the way back to Olympia wa my info lights indicated that I had 14% left on the life of my oil. I call Christine to inform her of the warning light and she apologized and told how to reset the lights but it didn't work. So I don't know what to do about the light!

We arrived at 1230 as scheduled and were advised that the oil changes may be delayed. The Service lady who helped us was very polite and we took the opportunity to walk downtown and have lunch at an Italian Bistro-Sorcis. We had a great lunch and at 1:15 (45 minutes from dropping off our car) we received a call indicating my Camaros oil change was completed. We were pleasantly surprised that the service was quicker than anticipated. We finished lunch and leisurely walked back to Sunset. We had a wonderful time and the personnel at Sunset were professional and friendly.

Sunset Chevrolet stood solidly behind the Colorado pickup when the engine failed at around 30000 miles. They, and General Motors charged me only for the engine oil and coolant when they installed a new engine for me. I've now paid for two other autos (for Eileen Smith and Grace Nillson)at Sunset Chevrolet so I must think highly of the dealership.

Invoice CVCS356765: My 2004 Corvette had a nasty problem with the stability control kicking in for no apparent reason; such things are common to that generation. You extracted the trouble codes and replaced the Steering Wheel Position Sensor, something no normal human would ever have thought of. I was kept well-statused, no delay getting parts (getting to be a problem with those semi-old models) and *so far* no recurrence of the problem. I also got an advance peek at your C7 Z06 red roadster. Extreme indeed! The automatic trannie detracts, however.

My wife and I are a young family with 3 children. We had been looking for a specific 2015 1500 Chevy Silverado Crew Z71 truck for months. We signed up and its has been working for us since. The Finance person Mike was friendly and helped our children stay occupied while siging and he explaining the finance paperwork. He also worked very hard to get us a low intrest rate. He called a few days later and had gotten us a lower rate then what we orginally were told. After this process they have a trained specialist RACHEL BOWER who knows all about your specific truck, come out and help walk you through every detail of your truck. Oil change and warranty work were completed on time and seems to have fixed everything. I was disappointed that even after requesting the vehicle to be washed on the intake form no effort was made to wash the vehicle. Through my experiences with your dealership I have come to expect this service will not be done even when asked. An otherwise minor hiccup in overall service but precludes me from selecting highest rating.

We have use another Chevrolet Dealership before and were unhappy with the service...We were told by a friend to give Sunset Chevrolet in Sumner a try. We took our 1999 Silverado Truck into see Colton in the service Department. He could tell we had previously had a bad experience. Colton put our mind at ease and we left our truck. They called later with the estimate and it seemed fair so we ok the work. On the day we came to pick up the truck it was almost $200.00 cheaper than quoted they washed the truck and cleaned up some parts on the engine that they didn't even work on. The shop is Amazing Clean, the staff is very friendly and they all go way beyond the extra mile for the customer. I would recommend this dealership and its aervice Department to my friends and family. We don't even live close but it was well worth the drive to get great service! Worst experience of my life in customer service with this company, they do not stand behind their work. They DO NOT honor there LIFETIME SERVICE WARRANTY. THEY ARE LIARS. We bought a truck here in 2013 from James Lucas and it was back in their service department numerous times for the same reason (broken snap rings) and it was never resolved. After the "repair" it only lasted 20k miles and the first time my husband put the truck in 4 wheel drive it broke down, but this time they wouldn't fix it. We bought a 3500$ extended warranty and had their lifetime warranty. They wanted us to pay another $1900.00 for repairs that they obviously didn't get right originally. So I had my truck towed from there and they forgot to put my drivelive and transfer case in the truck when the tow truck driver came to get it. They delivered the parts to my truck the next day in a "lifetime warranty truck" what a joke!? Also when the tow truck driver came to get it there were 3 service department guys standing around while the tow truck driver and his wife pushed the truck out of the shop, the tow truck driver and his wife were 60+ years old! My wiring harness were dragging all the way to the other shop. My transfer case was in pieces in 3 different boxes and someone threw the coffee grounds from there coffee pot in the shop in the box. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE-IAN-Service Technician, JOHN the "Service Manager" and ROMAN. They stated they were doing their best-which if that was the best they could do I'd hate to see their worst! They will never ever ever get another dime from me and I will warn people from here on out about their sheisty ways...

Tried of smoke being blown up my xxx. Have had our car in the service department for over 75 day in the last year. We have been lied to multiple times and have caught them in the lies. Also why they've had our car there's been damages done to it such as: curbed rim and door dings. Just had it in for an oil leak but they said its not leaking oil, it's residual from when they changed my oil the last time it was in, which is impossible. Because where the oil is coming from there's no way it's from them dripping oil onto the motor during an oil change. I'm also a half a quart low on a brand new car, strange if there's not an oil leak. They said they are here for us, or they're trying to help us but we have not had any positive results yet. We are now taking it to different dealer for service.

We just bought our second Silverado from Sunset Chevy and will never buy a truck anywhere else. There is no pressure making the purchase as low stress as possible. My first truck came with lifetime oil changes which was wonderful. And when I had the electric window need some service, after my warranty was outdated but my mileage was still low, they fixed it for free!Their new lifetime drive train warranty in addition to the lifetime oil change convinced us that this was the time to upgrade to 4 wheel drive.I fully support using Sunset for your purchases.

You know when I was first contacted by Justin at sunset I thought hey this dealership is an honest dealership that likes to help people out. I was approved for a rig. Which wasn't what I was really looking but he told me to come down and check it out so I loaded my family up and drove 2.5 hours well I test drove it and it was ok but it wasn't what I was wanting. They were very persistent on trying to push me into it. It wasn't what I wanted. As soon as I said that I got attitude and just walked away. well guess what im the one making the payment. When I said I was leaving they finally brought a truck out that was exactly what I was looking for and actually had less miles and was cheaper than the 4runner. They said they could get financing done on that truck no issues. But the truck was still in service so I couldn't take it yet and it would be delivered in a week. Went in put money down signed paper. Greg the other salesman that was working with me kept in contact all week oh yah your truck is done and going to detail. a week goes by I call and say hey is my truck going to be delivered tomorrow. Greg goes umm youll need to contact financing. They haven't gotten you financing. Im like what....After communicating all week you left out the part that this wasn't a done deal....well by law you have 3 days to have financing figured out. Guess what I was only told because I called on the 5th day. (I have a good mind to call the attorney general). Talked to Matt in Finance and he was like um no one communicated with you about your financing...ummm no. He said he was still working on it and would call at 10 the next day. never called I had to call him. said hed call back I had to call him back then he goes yeah I cant do anything for you. Thanks for wasting my time and the money I spent to drive down to your so called dealership. No communication between sales and finance and no communication to the customer. Thanks for getting someones hopes up on a rig.

OK this is what happened to me, I Singed papers on a 2008 AUDI A6 on 04/06/2014, Heard a noise I was concerned about, was told service department would look at and they did said is was normal I was not convinced, so after talk with the mechanic and ( GREG HUEBNER ) Greg told me to take it to the AUDI Dealership and have it checked out, and at the same time he would get the CD for the navigation from the original owner , so I made appointment two days out ,so I called the morning before my appointment talk to TYLER FOSS , Then they did not want ok the inspection at the time of, after hang up on the service dep , TY called me back and took care of the bill, I asked AUDI if I could buy a CD for the navigation , found out the noise was normal and the car did not have navigation would cost about $4000 to install then I called TY back and he suggested after market, then Tyler Foss said no he would get me another car 7 month later NOTHING, not even a call back CALLED SEVREAL TIMES; LAST TIME I TALKED TO TYLER TOLD ME HE FORGOT , AND HE WOULD HAVE HIS GUYS LOOK ,I THINK I HAVE BEN MORE THEN PATIENT VERY DISAPOINTED ,TYLER ( A MAN IS ONLY AS GOOD AS HIS WORD ) IS THAT NOT YOUR QUOTE?? Since we have bought our truck a month ago, the dealership has had it in their possession "fixing it" more than I have had it. I complained about the coffee mess ALL OVER the truck when I got it. After they had had it for the first week of my purchase, they said they detailed it several times, yet when I got it back, there was still coffee on the consul, ceiling, and carpet. I brought it back to them last week, saw it driving on the local highway yesterday, and gave them a call. They had someone call me at 6pm to say he didn't know the status of my truck, will call back the next day. I then received a call today with the manager saying that I spilled the coffee all over and they want to charge me over $400 to fix it. Not only do I not drink coffee, this has been an on going issue since we bought it. I will be contacting the Attorney General and accessing all avenues. I DO NOT recommend this car lot to anyone!

We recently researched several Chevy dealerships, and found that none compared to the service offered by Sunset Chevrolet, in Sumner, WA. The first time we met with Bob Fish, he was kind enough to take three hours of his time, one of which was past closing, to answer all our questions. We were just getting a feel for exactly what kind of truck we wanted/needed, and Bob was patient with all of our questions and in answering our concerns. After visiting the dealership a couple more times, we purchased my husband's "dream truck", and Bob took us through every step of the process, from making the major decisions about tonnage to the smallest decisions about underseat storage. When the time came to negotiate a bottom line offer, Bob worked diligently to ensure his managers understood our position, and ensured a fair deal. As is the case with most big purchases, nothing goes off without a little hiccup, such as our delivery date, but Bob stepped up immediately and rectified the situation to our satisfaction. One note of great importance is that Sunset Chevrolet is the ONLY Chevy dealership in Washington that offers a FREE "Lifetime Warranty" on the mechanical parts of the vehicle, such as engine, drive train, etc. This additional attention to detail and backing up their product is what convinced us to purchase from Sunset. We would most definitely buy from Sunset again, and are making it a point to let all our family, friends and neighbors know about the professional and caring team at Sunset, encouraging them to let Sunset meet their future vechicle purchase needs. First time purchasing from Sunset Chevrolet, and it was very easy and hassle free. Our sales rep. David Goeke was great at figuring out what kind of truck I wanted. He asked detailed questions and didn't try to put me in a truck to get me out the door. Gave me and the wife the keys and told us to take it for a spin, when we returned he asked if we had any questions and never pressured us into anything we didn't want. Was willing to bring in a truck that was 500 miles away because his didn't have the equipment we wanted. But, I fell in love with the color and ride of the truck we test drove. I purchased that truck that afternoon and have had it a little over a month and can't believe the gas mileage I'm getting. Best trip so far 26.9 with the 5.3L! Oh and Matt in Finance got us a great rate too!

My check engine light came on in my SSR and needed attention. I called for an appointment and dropped it off the next morning at 8:00 AM. The service department was extremely busy. Not hearing anything, I called to check on my vehicle at 4:00 PM. They were still working it in to the day's vehicles but promised to call back before 6:00 PM. True to their word, they called back before 6:00 PM to tell me it was a simple gas cap leak and a new cap was required. However, the parts department was already closed and it would be at least the next day before they could return my vehicle. Again true to their word, they called before 10:00 AM the next day and even offered to vacuum and wash it. I had them change the oil, as they had suggested, and was able to pick it up by 11:00 AM. I was quite pleased with the manner in which I personally was handled and the work done on my SSR.

I have to say this was a great experience, I had been to two other desrlership before I made it to dave, I was wore out and just wanted to get my wife the truck she wanted. It's funny dave actually text me when I was at another dealership. The salesman was trying to sell us something we did want want. When I made it to dave, I explained what we wanted and the price to lol. Thirty min later we were done. He didn't try to hustle us or get over. He listen and got us what we wanted. Talked with a very helpful salesman on the phone but got a different one when I went in. Mr. Scenck started out very helpful but it soon turned bad. He was making very sexual unnecessary comments, maybe thinking that's what women like? I'm not sure. But he was very inappropriate. After reading other Yelp reviews about Mr. Scenck I relieve that this is this salesmans tactic. I would ask for a different salesman when you go, unless you like being verbally and visually harassed.

Kudos to Mike Odom and Tim( mechanic that did all the repairs, my apologies for not catching your last name) in your service department for going above and beyond in getting my Trailblazer SS fixed. Transportation was provided while my car was being fixed. Follow up phone calls were made in what repairs were needed. And the big kicker for me was having my car delivered back to my work since my work day is hectic, definitely wasn't expecting that but was greatly appreciative of the Customer Service. Thank you again for taking the stress out of all this!

Oh the lies! These guys are the epitome of sleazy car sales men (especially DJ.) I have never felt so disrespected in my life. If you are a couple that is looking for a car and make decisions together, then look elsewhere. After going back and forth regarding pricing (which was another nightmare) DJ came back with the last offer- which I stated was not acceptable. He then pushed the paper to my bf and said " I thought HE was purchasing the vehicle." This behavior is completely unprofessional. We should not have even been negotiating prices to begin with since Day 1 (we had to go 3 days, since DJ missed our appointment,) we told him that we had a GM number for employee family pricing. He knew this, and said that was fine and we could get it. After the 3rd day, he then comes back and says that the vehicle we wanted was excluded from that pricing. Turns out that was a Lie. I did my research, and it was included, and printed out the paperwork to show it. He then goes to his manager and his manager then says, their dealership does not participate in that program. This would have been fine had they told us this from Day 1. There are plenty of places to buy a car, don't bother coming here.

We went in there to find out we were either deliberately mislead, or someone doesn't understand what it means when you ask "how much is my payment going to be", conveniently not including sales tax into the figure. Then we were handed off to another salemen, who seemed to have difficulty understanding the concept of sales tax when paying off my trade in. Then they bring out Jason to talk to us, who was a total SOB to my wife and not willing to sit down and listen, just in a hurry to get us to leave. I can only assume because he figured we were not serious about buying, since it probably seemed we were just trying to lowball the heck out of the price, based on having the audacity to try to get at least somewhere close to the price that we were quoted. Meanwhile he's lowballing the offer for my trade by a good $2000 minimum and telling me it's not worth more than that when I had JUST come from another dealership who showed me the figures for what that model year is going for at auction and had their used car manager take a peak at the car and run it around the block. He refused to discuss anything relating to price and just sat there vehemently pointing at the numbers on the piece of paper and acting like we were the dumbest couple of yahoos to disgrace his showroom in quite a long while, meanwhile we hear other sales folks behind us standing in full public view in the middle of the showroom talking smack about a couple of customers that had just left. My entire experience dealing with Sunset had been FANTASTIC, right up to the time we walked in and were handed off to you to talk price. Then the whole ball or yarn came undone. My experience with Sunset Chevrolet went from "best every, would recommend to anyone and everyone who would listen" to "what a bunch of lying, sleazy SOB's" within about 15 minutes of being there. Then they have the nerve to send me a friendly email saying "hey, haven't heard from you, been trying to reach you". Bull. They have my cell phone number and email, and neither of those have shown any sign of you "trying to reach me" for the last couple of weeks. Beyond that, it was less than a week ago we were sitting in your showroom. The other dealership, only about 15 minutes away, had sent me a pleasant email thanking me for stopping by before we even got to your showroom that day, and you send me what appears to be an automated email from a CMS system a week after I left your place more angry than I've been in a long while after being jerked around for a half hour by a bunch of schmucks that can't get their stuff together enough to give me a realistic view of what the payment would look like for a car?I can GUARANTEE that I will NEVER do business with Sunset Chevroley. I'm buying my Volt from that other dealership, they one who was polite and friendly, and flat out told me there's no way they could do the price that Sunset had originally quoted me, but please let them know details on how Sunset pulls it off so they can compete. I'm quite certain they knew Sunsets business model was "BS them into the car", but they were far too polite to say it. I'll deal with the company that DOESN'T lie to me and isn't a rude to my wife. The only dealings I'll have with Sunset in the future is to blast them on any internet review or survey I run across. Rude, underhanded, sleazy, and incompetent. That's how I would refer to this company, and I'll be darned if I'd support you in any way. I'll be driving my new Volt next week, purchased from people that are professionals.

I had an appointment made via Sunset's web site. When I got to Sunset, prior to my appointment time I checked in and was told I had no appointment, had the conformation in my truck that said I did. I was told that they would fit me in. I informed the service writer of my needs; 1- Free oil Change, 2- Tire Pressure warning light troubles (third time since purchase), 3- Battery Light illuminating twice in the last 5 months. 4-Check Engine Light On, 5- Wash the truck. I was told of possible charges when I stated I had an extended warranty and was told I had none according to their records, my response, yes I have a bumper to bumper three year or thirty-six thousand mile GM plan. Again was told can't have they don't sell that plan. I went to my truck and presented the service writer my copy of the warranty. I was told it would take a couple of hours to repair, two hours I am fine with that. Communicated the TPS concern being over-sensitive and not being repaired in previous visits, the service writer then proceeded to tell me that that is the way it is and tried to make me feel as if! don't know what I am talking about, being a person with a mechanical aptitude and knowing something about cars, I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday, you can see how far I got and was told they will reset the parameters. I was in the waiting room and again the service writer contacted me about the battery light problem, was told that nothing could be found on the intermittent problem, but his tech told him I should be plugging in the block heater in temperatures under 40 degrees, wrong, if that was the case, it would have to be plugged in 9 months of the year. Do you think I would buy this too, I'm not stupid.The check engine light went fine I had the trouble codes scanned prior to taking the truck in. The free oil change not a problem, but talking to others in the waiting room who had appointments, I was told they routinely takes an hour to and hour and a half for the free service. A lot of time for just changing the oil and filter. I feel that if you get you should get a vehicle inspection as well, great selling opportunities, but no. I feel that you should be giving a customer a quick inspection in order to make your customer aware of current or possible future repairs. The last complaint is minor but, every visit I have asked for them to wash my truck, has it happened no! I said that was the last complaint, not. When you are done with the vehicle and park it in the lot for pick-up, you don't stack vehicle in front of it. I am disabled and it is hard for me to get in and out of my vehicle enough, but having to run back and forth to get the vehicle moved hurts. I am a dis-satisfied customer and would like some answers. The title says it all. DJ, my sales-person listened to my needs, had the knowlegde of the products that would fit them and the easy going friendlyness to relate them to myself and my wife making meaniingful suggestions as we progressed. BEWARE OF THE LIFETIME POWERTRAN WARRANTY SERVICE!!!!!!!!!! Purchased a used GMC Denali and within 4 months during first oil change was advised the oil pan was leaking and it was a seal. I think perfect, good thing I got the lifetime powertran warranty. Only to find out there is "FINE PRINT". I was told the oil pan is covered for any failure and if it fails the gasket is covered, but in this case because just the gasket failed it is not covered, $475 please. How does an oil pan fail unless it is punched wrong or something of that sort? Very disappointed and I will not be purchasing another vehicle under this cheesy warranty.

They treated with royalty and made me feel very special with warm open arms. Todd found me a great vehicle that I very happy with. We took a test drove and they gave me a great deal! Plus to top the cake, they gave me a lifetime warranty on the vehicle that is good anywhere. I plan to drive the 45 minutes out of my way just to have it serviced here. I believe in trust and have worked at dealerships before and its hard to find a good company and salesman like they had here! My husband and I are planning on starting a family soon and needed to replace my 2007 Jeep Compass that was quickly becoming to small and inefficient for us. We began researching family friendly cars last week and had decided we wanted to look at Hyundai vehicles for their ratings over the last few years. We had heard that Korum in Puyallup was running a deal for Boeing employees and giving them and incredible discount on vehicles! So we went down wanting to look at the Hyundai Santa Fe, it was a nightmare. They ran us around looking at vehicles way out of our budget especially considering part of our loan for the jeep would have to be rolled over. The man that helped us actually had us looking at 40,000 dollar vehicles after I had specifically asked him to look at the numbers and work backwards so we wouldn't be looking at vehicles out of our price range! Later after three hours of horrible service, no one listening to my husband and I and a manager that didn't have time to talk to use we asked for our keys and they didn't want to give them back! The very new sales man wanted us to talk to the manager which up unto this point did not have the time or decency to talk to us. Needless to say when we finally left we decided to try one more lot, and boy am glad that we did! We were quickly met in the lot between 7-8 p.m. by a magnificent man by the name of TOMMY COFFEE! First of all his name is epic, but his customer service was well over outstanding. We immediately felt like Tommy was listening to our needs, concerns, financial restrictions and our emotions. He had us drive a 2010 Hyundai Tucson that was stocked to the roof with extras and let me tell you it was amazing! It felt secure, safe, comfortable and he let us drive it until we were really comfortable. Do you know how when you buy cars the portion filled with numbers is always a frustrating blur? Yeah well we didn't feel that this time, he really worked with us and the manager to figure out a set of numbers that would really work for us. Which was hard because with the roll over from the Jeep loan and our lack of a down payment because we are in the midst of fertility problems and have already been through one round our savings was tapped. But Tommy and his manager made it work! They found a way to make it possible for us to walk out with an upgraded car that night! Furthermore, the next day on our way to the fertility clinic in Seattle we noticed that the late night detail was a bit messy and that we hadn't noticed the night before when test driving that there was a very annoying and unfortunate chip in the drivers line of sight. We called Tommy that day and asked me to bring the car back in on Monday, upon doing so they had a vehicle for me to borrow while they re-detailed it and replaced the window. They were again amazing! We will never buy another care from anywhere else and will be sending all of our friends and family here in the future. From the growing Johnston family thank you very, very much!

Beware of the Life Time Warranty. I bought a Truck from Sunset Chevrolet based on the life time warranty and the fact that I was promised by the Used Car Manager and Internet Sales Manager that they would take care of any issues with this truck. The 1st 12 weeks I owned it the dealership had it for 8 of these weeks. The fixes that should have only taken a couple of weeks turned into 8. The problem is that nobody seemed to care that it was taking an enormous amount of time to fix my truck to the standards I was promised at purchase time. I would pick it up and they said it was done only to find out the work was still not complete! The most recent issue is a very irritating whistling noise. Their so called mechanic diagnosed it as a tire problem. Disagreeing with him they took another look at it and found out that the turbo is going out. Awesome Mechanic! Do you think they would fix it no! They classify it as a problem but its not broke so they will not fix it until it completely goes out. After calling around I found out that is why other shops will not touch this Warranty program, they say its a joke and that they will not get paid for their work. Beware hope this helps someone else In my opinion Sunset Chevrolet has poor customer service, no honor and will screw you.

I was considering a few different Chevy/GMC 2500HD's that Sunset had in stock, and in the previous week I had dealt with a lady named Jessica I believe, she was very helpful, and full of information, but somehow Marco (Mark) took over. I must say, up until last night he HAD been somewhat helpful, but I am an hour and a half (1-way) from the dealership, so I sent a message requesting to talk price over the email before I waste a whole day driving down there, here is what I wrote....Mark,I had written you 2 more messages but never heard back. Pretty much I was saying I'm in Marysville, and am not going to drive all the way down there just for a test drive and tire kicking, I want to know what to expect price-wise before I make an hour and a half one way drive. I've got my own shop, so I don't need the "lifetime warranty" or oil changes that you guys have, and that's all rolled into the price, so what can you do price-wise? I have looked up the KBB value on both that truck and my current truck to get an idea what my trade is worth and what to pay, even though that Chevy has been wrecked, so that doesn't help. Let me know and I'll see if I think it's worth a trip.Thank youMY NAMEHere is the response that I got back.....Unfortunately, I was unable answer to answer as quickly as you wished because occasionally I do actually have the opportunity to help customers who are here at the dealership. We drove over 267 miles one way to look at a 2007 Yukon Denali and it was well worth the drive. Our salesman Jim Triggs was the BEST anyone could ask for. From my very first conversation with John Abbott he put me at ease making my buying experience the most pleasant ever. I had been to other car lots and they just wasted my time and insulted me because I have not had to finance anything for over 15 years, showing that I had no active credit. I thought that I would never write a review for a car dealership, let alone a positive one. Never say never. I have owned 33 vehicles in my life. Never once have I had a quality enjoyable experience, before now. This is my 34th vehicle. I was just courious and kind of brousing around for a possible purchase, then 2 things transpired. 1) Sunset Chevrolet of Sumner and 2) John Abbott.John and I found my dream vehicle. A Hummer H2. What set John apart from my previous bad experiences from dealerships and car salespersons was that John actually had a genuine concern for me to get the vehicle that I actually wanted. The attention and communication was far above superb. I would always get immediate answers back via the telephone or emails. Oh, by the way, I purchased this vehicle whilst I was in another state and never felt out of the loop. After, about 300 emails, we had a done deal. John even picked me up at the airport in my Hummer when I flew in to pick up the vehicle.My experience was outstanding. I am leaving the dealership with a true and real smile on my face. John Abbott and the Sunset Chevrolet dealership changed my opinion on buying a vehicle. I will recommend this dealership and John Abbott to my friends and I will remain a loyal customer in the future.

Once I had all the questions answered I then went down to take a look at the SUV and it was exactly what they had stated. I was then connected with John Abbott who was SUPER helpful and VERY nice. There are several closer Chevy dealerships located closer to our home, however, finding the best is more important than convenience. That led us to Sunset Chevy, more than 31 miles from home, and to the sales person, Sky Sparling. Without question, he is the most wonderful person to work with! He was never pushy - we felt no pressure unlike another dealer we met with that day. Sky went out of his way to find the exact vehicle we wanted from another Chevy dealer. He suggested tinted windows which we love which we never considered this option on previous car purchases. He has an eye for style and the "wow" factor for putting together a beautiful car. We noticed a small dent on the hood after having the car for a week. We were unsure how it happened but Sky had the damage fixed without hesitation. The whole experience with Sunset will lead us back to them for future purchases. We owned several BMWs but now a Volt enthusiats! Another Sunset champion is Scott Borton. He quickly researched our questions on contacts for Volt charging systems. Thankfully through Scott's assistance we were able to get the information needed to upgrade our home charging system. Triggs set me up with a rental car, and my long time Service Guy, MIKE ODOM got the ball rolling on the repairs. My husband and I were looking for a vehicle to replace a family Chevy truck. After much research on the computer we ended our search at Sunset. The level of service we received, well, hard to put into words. I have purchased several new cars and I was blown away and the ease of the transaction. They handled everything over the internet or phone. When it was all said and done I arrived at Sunset with that, holy crap, attitude. Not wanting to spend all day dealing with finance and back and forth stuff. Boy was I surprised! We signed a few pieces of paper, ok 20 ish, Car was out front washed and ready to go. This Well Done (Bravo Zulu) is for Dave Goeke. I went to Sunset Chevrolet to order a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE. I wanted the Camaro to have the same great bodylines the ZL1 has. After ordering the car, I noticed a salesperson that appeared to be the go to guy. Other sales representatives always went to him for answers. I also gravitated to him for answers. He was extremely resourceful and I knew what I wanted this Camaro to look like. A long story short, Dave, Kevin from the Auto body Shop, Sunset Chevrolet Parts Department and I, with the blessing of management, got our head together and created a one of a kind 1LE. I can not say enough about the service advisor Andy Williams, he has always been honest, trustworthy and has my best interest in any repaires to my truck. He listens carefully and treats me with respect. I have witnessed quite a few situations he has been involed in with extreamly rude customers. The way Andy interacts with them and defuses an otherwise volatile situation is something everyone should witness and learn from. It is very difficult in today's environment to encounter such superior service and most important, above board, consistent customer service. I worked with Jason the internet sales manager via internet and he offered me a certain number and x amount of dollars for my trade. We agreed on a Sunday. Then, Monday morning I get a call from a guy names Justin who then proceeds to tell me everything has changed. More money down, less for the trade and another FULL YEAR of payments. Horribly dishonest and bait and switch type tactics. I have left a message for the owner but doubt this will go anywhere. I was even told by Jason later on that Monday that "I have 3 other appointments for this vehicle willing to pay full retail"....so if they agree to sell you something, they will change it if someone else comes along with more money. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.

Recommeded the dealership to my daughter, she came in with financing and very specific request for a car. MPG, and seating 7 are her two top needs. The car she bought has mechanical trouble, poor gas milage, my daughter has called, come in numberous time to requst repair, trade, or her old car retruned. She has no satification. She has been lied too multiple times. I will never choice to use or recomend this dealer again. Which is sad because I love my 2012 Cruze I got from them but what they did to a Army wife is WRONG.

Brought my Tahoe in for an oil change. It was ready before the time they had given me. They washed and vacuumed out my vehichle. Which was a pleasant surprise. The service department is always friendly and helpful. I have bought 4 vehicles from Sunset and have always been pleased with the vechile quality and the service I recieved. I'm sure like most people I wanted to get more for less. I traded in a 2010 F-150 XLT for a 2013 Silverado LTZ. I like both trucks. I was at a Nissan dealer killing time and saw a truck with 11K off the MSRP so I decided to look around. I went to a Ford dealer and they just didn't have the rebates at the time. Sunset said they could possibly do something so we took about 20 minutes to run some numbers. Sure enough, even with A LOT of negative equity I was able to get into a truck with more content and still lower my payment by about $75.00 a month. I worked with Dave Goeke in sales. Great guy and knew his stuff. As far as the finance department. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. It helped that there was no one in front of me.

I had researched my vehicle, 2013 Avalanche, thoroughly prior to going to any dealership. After visiting a few Chevy dealerships in the Puget Sound area I was advised by a co-worker to check out Sunset Chev. Like I always do I researched them online, and submitted my info through my financial institution and one of their preferred dealers was Sunset. Sky Sparling contacted me fairly quickly over the phone, in which case I missed the call as I was busy with my kids. I gave him a call back shortly after giving him the details of what I was looking for. At that time it was a 2013 Avalanche, but had some slight interest in the Silverado. He told me they had plenty of both to choose from and check out. He even sent me build sheets with all options that were installed, listing rebates, and bottom line pricing. A couple days later I packed up the kids and went down to check out their inventory, and to meet Sky. At this time Sky was busy with another customer. I'm a person that hates dealing with different people every time I go to a dealership. DJ Giefer came out to greet me and my little ones. This guy is great, very personable, and knowledgable. I had decided to look at the Silverado, and I fell in love. I think I spent about 3 hours down there test driving, and asking just about every question under the sun, and the occasional BS'ing, DJ had an answer every time. There was just one minor disagreement about the USAA rebate, in which had cleared up after I had left. The great part about these guys is they didn't hound me. I requested them not to call after a certain time, and by god they didn't. The day I went down to do the "deal" was surprisingly pleasant, which was with Sky Sparling. They worked with me to make sure I got the "perfect" Silverado for me. They didn't try to pressure me in getting a truck that was over loaded with crap I didn't want or need. There was no back and forth, back and forth with the manager in another room that you can't see, and waiting for hours upon hours. Sky sat and listed out the options I wanted and got pricing for each one, even scoring me a free dvd player for the back. Even made sure he found every single rebate he possibly could get for me under the sun.Financing was pretty much a breeze as well. I worked with Eric, don't know his last name. I had already gotten financing through my own credit union, at a great rate and he didn't even try to BS me saying he could do better. Flat out said I already had a great rate and he couldn't do any better. I did not get enough on my financing so had to basically resubmit, and they let me drive away that day with the truck. Granted he did draw up paperwork for financing through them just in case.Needless to say, hands down, this was the best car buying experience of my life. These guys really go out of their way and put the time and effort into customer service. I just hope it continues through to service. I would definitely buy with Sunset again, and would refer them to anyone.

I went to buy a truck from this dealership and while I was test driving the new truck they took my keys and drove my truck into their service bay to look at for a trade. After not being able to come to an agreement on prices, I asked for my keys so I could leave. The sales person would not give me my keys after several requests. The sales manager would not comply as well. I had to call the police before they would give my keys back. WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

We had visited another Chev. dealer in the area the previous day. Ended up walking out--they didn't have the car we wanted but were willing to have the seats covered in leather, etc. We were on our way to another brand/dealer whose car we liked. Decided to stop in at Sunset enroute to the other dealer. Dave Goeke listened to what we were looking for and showed us a 2012 Equinox that had 13,000 miles. It was what we had been looking for, like brand new and after a little bartering, we bought it. We were treated so professionaly by all of the staff. Also treated to breakfast during our orientation. We had a great experience buying our 2011 Equinox. I had no idea what kind of car I was looking for but Nick and John did a great job of showing me what was on hand and letting me test drive several before making my choice. There was no pressure to buy, they worked a deal I was happy with, they gave me fair trade in on my old car and Mark in finance worked hard to get me great terms on the loan during a holiday weekend. I had check in hand from my bank that Sunset Chevrolet had faxed all paperwork to. Full coverage insurance for 2 1/2 weeks on the vehicle I was purchasing. I was given the run around and not contacted when I was told I would be. Bottom line was they wanted more money for the vehicle I was buying. I was finally told they "needed $5000 more for the vehicle" The vehicle is still for sale at their original asking price which is $1800 more than what I had signed papers on.

We were very happy with Sunset until our last visit, which will be our last visit. We brought my Yukon in for service feeling that there was a problem with the transmition, the warranty only had a week left on it. It was kept for a week, no one from sunset called us to tell us anything, we had to call them and at the end of the week we were told they couldn't find a problem and if one come up after the warranty is up we are tough out of luck, we are just going to have to pay for it. So we pick it up and at that time were told we would have to pay $107 eventhough no work was done on the car. It would have been nice if someone would have called ahead of time to let us know.

My husband really wanted me to buy a new vehicle. I had a 2010 Toyota Corolla which I loved. We now have 2 Weimerainers and they take up a lot of space and my car was just a tad to small. My husband wanted to go down to Sunset Chevrolet to look at SUV's. I wasn't really excited about buying a new vehicle, but the moment we got out of our vehicle, Dave Goeke (one of the many salesmen) greeted us with smiles, asked what we were interested in and not once was pushy. He let us look around, answered all of our questions. The greatest part for me personally was we took our 2 puppies with us and Dave also let us put them in the back of the Chevy Equinox we were interested in to see how they would fit. Not a lot of places would have allowed that. I can honestly say they have an excellent team, all the way from Finance, to Sales, to their service department. Each and everytime you walk in there they make you feel like you are the 1 and only customer, you leave satisfied. Almost like family.They work with you to get you out the door with the vehicle you want, also the finance department made everything painless & easy. Not only do they offer free oil changes for life, they also now have free car washes anytime. The actual buying experience was great. There was some issues after the purchase. We found out a week later that we hadnt actually been approved the day walked out with the new car. Then it took another week to find out that we were finally approved. I would probably be a lot more angry had I not been able to have a sit down with an actual sales manager and talk about things. My son and I bought 2 used Chevrolet trucks in April from Sunset Chevrolet. This was my first set of personal experiences with the dealership. I had heard their ads on the radio for several years. In a nutshell, I would rate the buying experience among the top 2 in a lifetime of numerous car purchases.DJ (Darrin) was the sales rep for both purchases. He was superb. DJ followed through on everything he said he would do -- from questions during the investigative stages through delivery of the vehicles (including all promises made). I found DJ to be a good professional. He was thorough and friendly throughout. He worked appropriately for the sale. He was anxious to serve, yet wasn't high-pressure. There was zero "sleaze factor" -- and you certainly can find plenty of that as you are looking to buy a vehicle. We ordered a couple things from the Parts Department for installation by the Sunset Service Department. Both Parts and Service performed well. Everything happened as needed, with full satisfaction. The sales rep (DJ) was additionally helpful in this process. It seemed there was good respect and rapport between Sales, Parts and Service -- a factor important to me.Additionally, Rochelle was excellent to work with on all the paperwork -- trade-ins, service contract, etc.After almost 2 months, we are very pleased with the trucks we purchased. OK,I am in my 50's and have purchased a few vehicles in my time. Let me say that I have never experienced such a professional and friendly dealership EVER!I bought a 2012 Chevy Silverado 3500 diesel pickup. I had several accessories installed on the truck that my wife and I wanted. It took a couple of days for everything to be done and I was never left wondering how things were going, because our salesman Dave Goeke called to inform me of every step, including when the truck was finished and when to pick it up. The truck was done on time, all work done as promised. .. Now about my salesman, Dave Goeke: The best salesman ever. He is knowlegable,friendly,and was not pushy. I had several questions about the Duramax engine and Allison transmision and he took the time to have the service tech from the shop(I think his name was Scott)come out and talk to me and answered all questions that I had. The dedication they have to their customers was proven to me as Scott was off work and on his way home and still was very happy to talk to me.Price, best salesman ever, knowlegable friendly service personnel, everything I need is at Sunset Chevrolet.

RIP OFF ALERT.... Stay AWAY From Sunset Chevy in Sumner and Bonney Lake, WA.!!!! This was the worst car buying experience of our lives! My wife and I were pressured like never before to buy a truck that we didnt even want. The salesman made me give him my ssn before I could test drives a vehicle. Then I received a phone call and the salesman started harassing my wife and demanding information from her like her ssn. When I got off the phone she told me what had happened and how uncomfortable she felt. We quickly got out of there and went to another dealer. At the next dealer we found out that that sunset salesman ran my credit without my permission. STAY AWAY!!!!! I did get a call from that salesman later that day. He was now willing to throw in the kitchen sink" and his manager said that they would give me a screaming deal. Yea, because they already ran my credit..Yet the manager or the owner didnt feel we deserve a call from them. Probably to busy ripping people off.

We "window-shopped" at Sunset Chev quite a while ago & had such a good experience w/ Dave Goeke, that when we were ready to purchase quite a while later, we went back without hesitation. Dave is absoulutey wonderful... NO pressure whatsoever, very informative, took a lot of time w/ us, and made sure we were happy. Dave & others at Sunset were VERY accomodating, allowing us as long of a test drive as we needed, and helped us BIG TIME with towing accessories that made the deal definately a good one. Sunset offers free oil changes, & my truck is currently in the Service Dept. for its 1st oil change. I'm confident they'll do a great job. Dave even loaned me a very nice car to drive while I'm waiting, without me even asking. The customer service at this family dealership is outstanding, and I'd recommend the dealership to anyone; they go above & beyond. In addition, they're involved w/ the community via linkages to high school & college mechanic programs & internships... very cool.

Polite to me and my wife from the moment we arrived. Shown several versions of what I thought I wanted and let me ask all the questions I could think of. No pressure to settle and they helped find me the style and package I had asked for. Did not try to push extra items or force me to settle. Gave fair trade-in value for my older truck and the finance gentleman worked passed his time to finish the deal that evening. Buzz has called to make sure I have all I needed afterwards and arranged to get the side steps I requested. Perhaps the best vehicle buying I have ever had. Fair trade, no pressure, all questions and concerns addressed. Overall a top of the line experience for us. I would definitely consider going there if I am in the market for a vehicle in the future.

Buzz was not only very rude to me and my friend but he lied to me about the so called "dealership numbers". He gave me the piece of paper with what the dealership paid and what they could sell the truck for at the lowest price. the price on the window was 31,995 and his lowest number was 28,600 and he said i can not go any lower than that price. After he told me about my 18,000 trade in was only worth 13,000 and that it was fair trade in value, i told him that i rather sell my car on my own, Buzz presented me with false numbers pulled from his personal opinion on sales, and was very pushy about getting me to buy the car. After leaving the dealership in an ok mood i went home and pulled up the dealership on line only to find that the truck was posted for 28,000. When i called Buzz's son to ask him why he lied to me, he said that he never lied and that the internet sales do not talk to the in stores sales. one of worst dealerships i have been to, they are rude and pushy. I was very disappointed because i had heard great things.

My wife and I were looking for a smaller, safe car for our daughter. Originally she had her sights set on a Ford Focus. We test drove the vehicle and it was fine but we wanted to look elsewhere. Having heard of the Cruze we wanted to find out more about it. That is when we had met Dave. He proceeded to tell us about this vehicle and wanted us to test drive the vehicle so that we could see for ourselves that the Cruze was all that it was "cracked" up to be. Kylee liked the car immediately, the ride, the color red, the accessories, etc. Her parents also gave their approval.:)Dave Goeke did an excellent job from the beginning to the end of the sales experience. the salesman was great. got me what I needed for a price that Iam happy with. then worked with me to resolve the issues with the truck that I needed. Iam very happy. this is the 2nd truck I got from them and their sales staff is great.now to the used vehicle, this dealership clames to do a "117 point inspection".. I think that includes washing the truck and cleaning the inside which was done great (smells like a new car and abosutly no stains) and that is all. I found electricial issues and a engine oil leak, If I didnt look under the truck I wouldnt of found it. I would NEVER reconmend buying a used car from these people unless you know your stuff about cars. My other family members bought used cars and had some simular problems, we will not buy used from here again. with all that said, I got a better truck than what I came in with, salesman gave me time to inspect truck, and helped me deal with fixing truck and Iam tankfull, feel the dealership and I both made some money on these vehicles. whom ever does the inspection didnt do there job and I think they just hope they can send off a vehicle and hope to never see it again, its b.s. buyer should be made aware of such things. Ive been a mechanic for 15 years and I never ripped anyone off, always honest and upfront, I expected the same from what use to be a small town dealership.

I have bought two cars now from sunset chevrolet. I haven't bought from them beacause of their location or because I love Chevys. I bought both of my vehicles there because of Dave Goeke. The first vehicle I bought their wasn't even a Chevy it was a Toyota. I told Dave what I was looking for and how much I wanted to pay and he got me exactly what I was looking for at the exact price and payment that I wanted. He did such a great job with the hard task of making me happy that we bought a second vehicle from him as well, a Suburban. The second vehicle was an even harder task, but Dave did it again, got me just what I needed. I trust Dave, I'm not affraid that he's going to try and get me in a car just to make a buck, and thats why as long as Dave is into selling cars I'll always buy from him and no one else.

There was no hassling from start to finish. My wife and I were allowed to test drive the Chevy Cruze without a salesman with us, which made us feel as if we was trusted. We purchased a 2011 Equinox from Sunset Chevrolet in February and our salesman was wonderful. This is our 4th new Chevrolet and the past 3 have been purchased from Sunset Chevrolet. The reason we continue to be loyal Sunset customers is because of the service we are provided. The sales department is not pushy and we have never received the "hard sell" from anyone there. Jim was knowledgeable of the vehicles, he was patient with us throughout the entire deal, and was pleasant to work with. He spent time going over all of the features of the car and offered for us to stop by anytime if we needed additional assistance. We traded in our 2007 Tahoe, the trade in was fair, but could have been better since the Tahoe was loaded and in near mint condition. Overall, we felt like it was a fair deal.We added some accessories to the Equinox and we worked with Robert Spadaccini in the parts department. Robert was well informed and had some great ideas for accessories we might be interested in. He was helpful, kind and professional. When we purchase a vehicle from Sunset, we know they stand behind the product. The service department has always been helpful, honost, friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are completely satisfied. Also, the service department is one of the cleanest I have seen. Mike Odem went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied on my last visit by offering to help with an issue that I would have been required to make an appointment for and allowing me to move on with my day. I have been taking my vehicles to Sunset service for 10 years or more and I have always had a pleasant experience.

I purchased a new 2011 Chevy Equinox on 2/9/2011 from Buzz Nielsen at Sunset Chevrolet. It was a great experience. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get to the dealership. I did a lot of research on the internet looking for an Equinox with everything I wanted on it. Most dealerships were overpriced and did not want to give a fair price for my trade in. Sunset Chevrolet charged me a low price for the Equinox and gave me a fairly good price for my trade. Financing got me a super low interest rate. The whole process went smoothly. This is a dealership I would recommend. I also purchased several accessories for my Equinox from Robert Spadaccini in the parts dept. He provided me with some discounted prices and I was able to have the parts installed that day from the service department. That was important since I had a 2 1/2 hour drive home that night. I only had one issue. During the purchase of the Equinox, I requested and the dealership agreed to swap my Equinox's 18" wheels (I hate those wheels) for another Equinox's factory 17" wheels (way better). Who ever was supposed to reprogram the vehicles computer with the new wheels and TPMS sensors either did not do it or didn't complete the process. Approx. 10 miles from the dealership that night, my TPMS dash light came on and the monitor system read as dash marks. Long story short, my local Chevy dealership spent over 1 hour fixing the problem. However, they charged me $96.02 with tax. I made contact with Buzz Nielsen at Sunset Chevrolet and told him politely what happened. He told the Sunset Service Manager. The service manager called me up and apologized for what happened and they reimbursed me the cost to fix this issue. Most dealerships would not have done that! I had a great experience at Sunset Chevrolet and would highly recommend them to anyone. I figure that I saved between $3,000 and $5,000 on the price of my Equinox by not purchasing from the Chevy dealerships in my county or the neighboring county.

Their Dealership goes above and beyond Great Customer Service. Not only are they respectful to customers but also with each other. I recently went in to look at a new car and was met with a very knowledgeable Sales Consultant. He was upfront with all facts and figures. I feel good about my purchase. Earlier in the day I stopped at a Kia Dealership just to compare. There were three sales people sitting at desks. One was texting someone, one was on their cell phone and one was polishing her nails. After five minutes one of the upstairs office managers came out of his office and downstairs. He asked if I needed help. I said I wanted to see about new car. He called over to the salesman and said I needed help. He continued to text so the manager said it again. He finally put his phone down and came over. I was there for 5 minutes and left. I went to Sunset Chevrolet where they take me seriously. Also several years ago I brought in a recall issue to be fixed. When they were drilling on the bracket holding the radiator, the drill slipped and a the radiator was damaged. Before I was even aware that there was a problem they had called for a rental car for my use while they replaced my radiator that had to be ordered.

I bought my first one from them ten years ago, and I had a positive experience as far as getting the vehicle I wanted, price, customer service and follow up.The second purchase experience was just as good. In my search, I went to Sunset, then to a few other dealers. I came back to Sunset mainly because of the way they treated me. The other dealers could have sold me a truck, but they assumed I was an easy mark because I'm female. On the contrary, I am very knowledgable about vehicles. I knew what they were up to.Buzz Nielsen and James Daniels at Sunset worked with me to get me the pricing I needed so I could get into the truck I wanted. They gave me a good value for my trade in, and were very upfront and honest about the deal. They made me feel like my business is valued and treated me with respect. Both Buzz and James possess character and provide excellent customer service.I did have a couple of follow-up issues that were taken care of courteously and quickly. Most dealers won't give after-the-fact customer servive on a used vehicle with no warranty. But Sunset did. They are great to work with.

As first time buyers, we were definitely in the market for a used car originally. Only to find out banks don't like to finance first time buyers for used cars with no warranty. Came to this dealership based off of my brother's recommedation, he had bought a cobalt here from James Goeke. So of course we went looking for him. Unfortunetly, he had gone home sick that day so Andy helped us out in the lot. Drove 3 different models. Starting out with what we originally wanted. Then our numbers were ran (filling out the financing information beforehand on their website sped this process up and ensures you have access to all your information without having to carry everything with you). Next drove a car far from the first, very basic. Didn't meet our needs so we told them no thank you. They went to work again and found us a car that met all of our needs vehicle wise and financially. Colby was also very kind and helpful at this point in our car shopping. Paperwork went smooth and picked up a freshly fueled and washed car. Andy showed me all the features one by one before driving off the lot. Overall, a good experience.

We took our camaro in for its second oil change,They took the car back and did the work.parked the car back out front and never told me it was done.They knew I was waiting.Anyhow,when I got home I noticed the car had several scratches in the hood and the top of the front bumper.I loved the car and it did not have a mark on it.Now I feel like its just a used car. Dont know what I could do about it but I am so unhappy, I am wondering if I should ever bring the car back for an oil change.Kinda sucks because we have the life time oil change.Thanks for bursting our bubble with our new car.

My wife and I wanted a suburban and saw a used one at Sunset on craigslist that we we really liked. I spoke with Dave on the phone, but did not make an appointment to see him so he was busy when we arrived. Jim helped us with the test drive and negotiating the price which was reasonable, plus they gave us $3000 more for our trade in than it was worth! to help us shed some of the negative equity. Dave sat in the suburban with us and went over all the features so that we were comfortable. Dave and Jim and all the staff were very friendly and helpfull and made car buying easy and enjoyable, I would recommend them to friends and family. And we are going back to them to buy a second car soon.

This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. My husband and I originally came in just to see what they had, Dave took the time to give us an idea on monthly payments on the car we were thinking of so when we came in a couple of days later everything was easy. While we were signing the paperwork they were cleaning the car up so we were in and out in 2 hours (when does that EVER happen??). Dave even put a bow on the car and took my daughters photo (it was for her)by the car. He spent more than enough time working with my daughter to show her how everything in the car works including getting OnStar set up. I would seriously think of buying a car here again in the future.

this entire establishment is a fraud. we bought a used trailblazer only to find out it wasn't exactly what we were looking for. within 24 hours we asked if we could purchase something else. they said yes, but only gave us trade in value(5,000 less than what we paid 24 hours earlier) and then over charged us about 4,000 on the 2005 acura mdx. they did not offer a car fax. they promised us 5.2% financing, only to find out at signing that it was 6.2%. they called me for weeks saying they needed more income verification( which i gave them) only to find out at signing that they did not need it. we did not receive our license plates until three weeks after our temp tags expired. the acura mdx had some issues that they would not honor fixing. to list all the terrible things about this dealership would be a novel. they are the biggest bunch of snakes i have ever dealt with. we now own an acura mdx valued at approx: 20,000 that they charged us 24,000 for,+ the 5,000- on the 24 hour trade in, + the 6.2% interest = a whopping 34,000 f***ing dollars for a 2005 acura mdx, that isn't even the model they advertised. the price they gave us for the mdx, was based off a fully loaded mdx, which ours is not. all in all, i will make sure everyone i know, and more, will never purchase anything from this s***hole of a dealership. we are in the process of speaking with an attorney about this matter. DO NOT BUY FROM SUNSET CHEVROLET

Warning.............When I bought my new vehicle Sunset promised "Free Oil Changes" then when I went in for my first one they said that I would have to attend a Saturday "EVENT" to register my vehicle or no free oil changes? I paid for them as part of the deal??. (They want me to come to the service Sales Pitch in my opinion) This dealership is dishonest in my opinion.When I contacted Chevrolet they knew nothing about the program.Sunset will never see another penny from me!

We had a service related problem with a recent visit and contacted management to complain. We found the service manager to be responsive and willing to help us rectify the problem. The service department eagerly fixed our problem to our satisfaction and apologized for the problem. The issue was addressed by the dealership and we were assured that we would not have a similar problem in the future. We will continue to use Sunset Chevrolet for service visits. I updated my review as a result of them taking care of our issue.

I have had a couple of people tell me of the pleasant experience that they had, so I thought I would see if they were as good as I was told.When I walked on to the lot, Tony was right there to ask the questions that He needed to help me.When he found out that I was looking for a used truck, He told me that he had one at their other lot. Tony went to get a set of keys to one of the cars and he took me and my wife to the other lot to show us the truck.Tony work with me to keep the payment down so I would really be able to afford it, and the sales manager also work very hard to make the numbers work so that I was able to drive away with the truck I wanted.

After years of buying cars we hated the experience. I dreaded getting attacked by the salesman. My wife and I stopped in to Sunset "Bonney Lake" to check out a car that we had seen and were surprised when we didn't feel pressured or hounded! We were allowed to look around at our leisure and never felt like the hawks were circling. We decided not to buy the car we originally stopped for but we did end up finding another.Between the salesman,the General Manager,and the finance manager,we had a great experience that day. Lots of laughing and just an all around good time. We will be back in the future to buy another and I hope that they still have the same staff there. Anyone looking for a very friendly,customer oriented,and a generally overall stress free car buying experience,stop in and see the crew. P.S. My review of this dealership starts with their service department. I couldn't believe that a dealership (which aren't known for being honest) would be so honest and give so much attention to an old truck I didn't even buy there. I had a terrible problem for years with my electrical system. I couldn't get it figured out. I took it to another dealership who charged me a fortune to "FIX" it with out contacting me first to get my approval, and of course it wasn't the fix. After that and numerous other shops (and a whole lot of money) I finally decided to take it to Sunset. The person who investigated my truck did so for the entire day. And he found it!!! I was so relieved to finally know what gremlin had been living in my truck. And.. instead of just fixing it themselves with out contacting me, then charging me (like the other dealer) they told me all about my problem and allowed me the opportunity to fix it myself.When I went to pick up my truck and pay for the many many hours of investigation they only charged for ONE hour. This dealership was so good to me, they treated me like gold and I was just a girl who brought her old pickup in, in a desperate attempt to fix a problem that plagued me for years. I've gotten a sum of money to finally buy myself a brand new car. I immediately thought of Sunset and decided to come do this review. I will be spending that money with them as I know I will be treated fairly and end up with a safe vehicle.
