David Burda was my sales person. I had done a lot of research and knew exactly which car I wanted. David took me on a test drive for me to really test out the performance of the vehicle. When it came time for numbers, the negotiations went very smooth and I was treated with respect (I was there by myself). My financing went very smooth and the changeover of tags and registration was so simple! Thank you for you incredible service!

This the first vehicle I bought from a dealership. The saleman David I would highly recommend! He let me test out the vehicles performance and was even able to have the car touched up in certain spot that I hadn't even notice. He was straight forward with all the questions that I had. He wasn't pushy,didn't make me feel rushed, and was able to work with the my price range really well. All in all great experience and would recommend those to go to this dealership.

My wife and I were considering used Subaru Foresters and found one online at The Frederick Motor Company. We were looking for an SUV that had decent hauling capacity but also featured a smooth ride, and the Forester 2.5 X Touring available checked off all our boxes. The gentleman who helped us, Dave Burda, was knowledgeable, friendly, fair, accommodating and, most importantly, very patient as we mulled over our decision. Excellent customer service from Dave and the other associates involved in the sale of the vehicle.

Was looking for good used car for the wife, needless to say it had to be a Chevrolet ( Malibu or an Impala not silver and with a sun roof per her) looked at a couple of these at other dealerships in the area, nice cars that I looked at, but they was missing something, just couldn't put my finger on what was missing, searched for that certain car for a little over a month, then my travels took me to Frederick Motor Company, and that's where I found that Chevrolet Malibu w/ a sunroof and not silver, and that's where I found out what was missing that I couldn't put my finger on, Good ole fashioned service, was greeted by Dave Bourda with a hand shake, told him what I was looking for and who the car was going to be for, this man listened and respected to what I had to say, it took a period of 7 days to make this sale happen, Dave was very professanal and patient, and a Chevrolet Malibu was purchased at Ford dealership, he starting with a handshake and finished with a handshake. Good place and Old Fashioned service goes a long way

I have had my used vehicle for over a month now and I am extremely happy with the vehicle and the service I received. I did my homework though. I did a Car Fax and I had the car pre-purchased inspected and the repairs were very minor ( a leaky gasket) which I gladly paid for to assure the car was in the best shape possible. I highly recommend David Burda as a no hassle, straight up kind of a salesman. Easy to shop with and extremely helpful.

The actual experience of buying the car was good. There was little hassle and all were professional in our dealing. There was no sales pitch. An offer was made and rejected. It took over two weeks to get together and make the deal, I have no problem with the dealer trying to make as much on a vehicle and at the same time I am trying to get the vehicle at a reduced price. The folks we dealt with were very sincere, courteous, and friendly. They went out of their way to make us relaxed.The only problem I have is that the car was not properly "inspected" before being put on the lot. I say this because a part was broken and fell off as we got in the back seat. It will be replaced by the dealer. In fact, the part was at the dealer's in a very short amount of time. Additionally, the Head Liner had many spots on it that came off quite easily with only a wet rag and some elbow crease. I think that should have been taken care of before putting the car on the lot.However, I do want to emphasize how great all the employees were at the dealership. Great job and a great experience. Thanks! And, the full tank of gas is appreciated!!

Most dealerships have a bad reputation for over pricing vehicles on the lot and charging for unnecessary services in their shops. I continue to see the sales and servicing staff at this location because they have always been forthright, and provide such excellent customer service. These folks are a part of the community, and it shows in the way they care for their customers. When you visit this center you are met with not just top tier service, but a neighborly approach to customer interaction. The only thing more comfortable than my ride after a transaction with these folks is the transaction itself.I had the pleasure of working with salesman David Burda recently. Its hard to add to your personal debt with a multi-year commitment and still leave feeling happy, but Dave and his team did the impossible. Dave is courteous, considerate, and he offered great perspective. He took the time to get to know us, and our needs, and put together a personalized list of priorities for us to consider in our search. Everything from recommendations on space, cargo hold, weather reliability, safety features, and the ever important budget was considered in his recommendation. All of our independent research aligned with his recommendations, which lends itself to my claims of honesty and personalized approach to the customer service experience. Daves input was instrumental in our decision making.

We bought a used car for our teenage son. Everything was going well. Our salesman was very nice. However, when we picked the car up, the tank was only half full and we didn't get a full tank of gas as promised. I have a voicemail message recording from David saying that we would be getting that.They were closing for the day and I was too tired to turn around that day so I called him back immediately and left a message. Few days later, he emails me saying that he checked with his cleanup crew and they said they filled it up and maybe the fuel float was stuck. I checked with my son and he had just filled up the tank yesterday for $20. He has only driven approximately 20 miles at the most since we bought it.David is a very nice man. We enjoyed our sales transaction except for the gas bit. Yes, it's only $20 of gas but it's the principle. Thanks**Update** The manager replied to the feedback fast and I also heard back from David Burda. They mailed a check for $20 to reimburse my son. The fact that they are keeping their word and rectify the situation is commendable. So I updated my ratings.

My wife & I were in the market of a Subaru. We had an unfortunate experience with Fitzgerald Auto Mall and we felt that we didn't get all of the answers up front. When we both went to Frederick Subaru, Roberto was very attentive, upfront with costs and trim differences between vehicles and most of all, no pressure. I was in Texas on business travel. Decided I'd like a newer vehicle. I spotted just want a was looking for... Newer pre-owned Mercedes E Class to upgrade my current E Class. I inquired online and Scott Rosenfeld contacted me quickly. They held the car until I got home to see it. I pulled in, the car was up front. Someone came out to assist me quickly. Used car manager Keith Barrow started working with me. He was ready to move this car and I was ready to buy. I got a very fair trade on my older car and fantastic price on my newer Mercedes. I'm very pleased with the car and the service I received from this dealer. No hassle and very quick to get things done. Thank you Keith and Scott for making this transaction quick and smooth. I will be calling these fellas again when I'm in the market.

I can't speak for the dealership as a whole but my first car buying experience with Frederick Motor Company was horrible. From walking in the Salesman, Shannon Beall, seemed to have very little interest in selling us a vehicle. It seemed a pain for him to walk outside and see if the vehicle had been dug out from the snow. When we sat in it, he was hardly helpful and seemed to be trying to convince us not to buy the 2016 Mustang, the car my fiance and I came to look at. He sadly lied to me on multiple occasions and the most comical part is he told me to go to Sheehy (who has way better reviews) and buy at their cheaper price, with a sense of arrogance that their online prices are false (which every review I found says quite the contrary). When I asked about any incentives, or why I should buy from them, he only bashed other dealership is a very vague way and told me why I shouldn't buy from these dishonest dealerships, which according to him, was EVERY other dealership. It was very disrespectful and uncomfortable. It honestly felt as if the night was a complete waste of my time and wish I never went to Frederick Motor Company. The only saving grace was that it was slightly comical to meet a salesman who seemed so disinterested in selling a product. Also interesting to find out that the reason my mom shied away from the Edge was because of her experience with the Shannon at Frederick Motor Company.I can't say I recommend NOT going to Frederick Motor Company, though I won't be returning, but I can say, make sure you get a different Salesman.

Had the recent pleasure of buying a used Cadillac from salesman Mike Reimel and the guys at Frederick Motors used cars. Mike was courteous, professional and quite knowledgeable for a guy who is relatively new to car sales. He also posses a friendly and up beat sense of humor. Always nice to spend a few hours with someone who helps you find your own way around a vehicle and laughs at your dumb jokes at the same time. Certainly not my first car buying experience and honestly one of the most enjoyable. My husband and I were in the market for two new vehicles and were talking to a few Subaru dealerships. I worked with Roberto Lopez and I felt he was very professional and not pushy. He answered all of my questions about the car, made sure I did not have any more questions and never tried to push features on me. I already new what I wanted on the car and what I didn't, so I really appreciated it. I told him what I wanted for my husbands car. Both cars we wanted were not in stock but he arranged to get both, and had both in less than a week. In addition he gave me very competitive pricing so that I did not have to go back and forth between dealerships to negotiate. In addition, my husband and I have busy schedules and were not able to get by until Monday at 7pm. That was no problem for them, Roberto and his staff made the buying process quick, painless, and exciting. Even my 11 year old son commented on how quick it was (we have done this a few times with him....). I highly recommend this dealership and especially Roberto! And for our cars- 2016 Legacy and 2016 WRX- they are AWESOME!! WE LOVE THEM!

Went in recently to trade in my BRZ for a 16 WRX and was quickly helped and handed off to Grant. Grant asked the right questions in the right order and didn't dodge any of the hard ones. He was honest and professional and quickly understood what I wanted and what we needed to do to get it done. He wasn't pushy, didn't try to upsell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need, and picked up when I was in familiar waters so we could quickly move on. I hope he is well appreciated and compensated. You'll get the feeling that Grant is way overqualified for his floor sales position, and you'll probably be right. If the rest of the staff is like him it's no wonder they're so highly rated.

I visited the Frederick Motor Company today just to look at a new Subaru. In less than two hours, I test-drove a vehicle, received a fair assessment (and price) for a vehicle I traded in, and completed the financing process. Walter even walked me through the process of pairing my cell phone with the blue tooth in the car (something I would never have figured out on my own). Everyone I spoke to while at the dealership was friendly and supportive.

Walter Smith is very easy to talk with and understands that he can provide information to help the buyer understand options. When Walter was busy, Sherry Ryan jumped in to help out.No pressure, no hype. A very comfortable experience with good people.The dealership people are all open and helpfull to the point that my wife, who is not sure she wants a Subaru wants to come back and check out some vehicles when she is ready.I have not used the service department yet. The customer program they have will likely get me there, even though I live 40 miles away.The dealership only needs some colorful landscape pictures or art on the walls to give the stark new facility more warmth.

Years ago, I use to jump around a lot from dealer to dealer, walking endless sales lots and trying to deal with different service stations any time I was looking to buy or service a car. All that ended when I came across Frederick Motor Company. I no longer wander aimlessly. They have a customer for life. The service department started my experience. They were always flexible working around my stringent work hours, and helped me stay on schedule with the routine maintenance. My service adviser anticipates my needs and delivers without hesitation. When it came time to buy another vehicle, I was introduced to the sales team. They give excellent service, patiently answering questions, discussing options, and letting me test drive the same car three times without a grimace. Recently, I was in a dilemma, and needed to purchase 2 new cars - one for me and one for my daughter who was going off to college. I was really worried because I hadn't had a car payment in over 10 years (again - great service department!) much less two. So, I walked in and explained the situation. The sales team again was great. After much deliberation, going over different options and scenarios, Ric and his team came up with a solution that fit our time frame and budget, and made it happen. I'm looking forward to going back again when my other daughter goes to college next year. And, because of my long-term experience with Frederick Motor Company, my husband (who use to be a fan of the other guy) is now a die-hard Ford Fan as well. He was just perusing the lots the other day looking at the new F-150s. GO FORD!!!

This is our fourth Outback but the first from Frederick Motors. We picked it up yesterday. We were very satisfied with the end-to-end purchasing experience. Walter is a pleasant and thoroughly knowledgeable salesman. He took us on a test drive that both demonstrated the key features of the 2015 Outback and pointed out interesting parts of the Frederick area. After deciding to purchase, Walter and Pat (Sales Manager) worked hard to find the exact model, color and features we wanted. This was no easy task given it was the end of the model year and these cars are in great demand. The negotiation process, agreed-to price and trade-in were very fair. (We had done research so we were prepared). Delivery process went smoothly even though we arrived a day early and they were very busy at the time. Sherry Ryan, another salesperson helped when Walter was assisting others. Dennis, completed the purchase process very thoroughly.

Walter was an amazing dealer to work with. He was not pushy, he gave us amazing information that most dealers would not have given. I went to pickup a Subaru Impreza and as we sat down to get paper work done we were informed that someone had already put a deposit on the vehicle and unfortunately he could not make the sale to me that day. He then got on his computer and found the exact vehicle I wanted located in northern Maryland. The next day he sent a driver to go pick up this vehicle for me upon arrival they noticed the vehicle had a number of scratches and he did not accept it that way because he told me "I will not sell you a damaged car". In the same day they found another Impreza of the same model in Virginia. They picked up the vehicle and had it to me all in the same day. I researched and contacted several dealers in the DC metro area when I was certain that I wanted to purchase the Ford Edge. Having dealt with Frederick Motor Co. previously for new Ford truck purchases, this was the first stop when we decided to look at Outbacks. From day one, Walter was easy going, no pressure and very informative. The whole dealership was fantastic - clean, not crowded, and people to pay attention to me without making me feel like I was being hunted. Friendly and professional. But the best part about the dealership (other than the car I bought) was Grant. He was straightforward and honest from the beginning. He actually knew about the cars he was selling, was prompt in getting back to me on things, was professional and helpful without being overbearing, and you could tell from the beginning that he believes in the cars he is selling. I was even at another dealership, looking at a similar car, and was confused about some of the terms and things they were offering. It seemed shady, so I actually called Grant and asked what he thought. He gave me a fair and honest answer, helping me to work through what I was thinking even if it meant his dealership wouldn't get the sale. When it came time to buy, he not only got me a great deal but when something they said they'd do wouldn't be possible, the dealership went above and beyond, at their own cost, to make sure I was happy . I came into the dealership with my sister back in December of 2014 to see what a Crosstrek was. Overall concerns: 1st customer through the door with a 9am appointment and it took 3 hours to take delivery of a vehicle that had pre-negotiated price and credit application; extreme low ball trade in value with claim that tires needed replacing - tires had 50K miles of tread warranty remaining; lack of communication between sales managers, no follow-up on experience from General Manager at the location; sales person was helpless to resolve the concern; definitely NOT a dealership we will recommend or return too.

From the first time we met Chris Curry to the actual purchase of our 2015 Subaru Outback, the experience at Frederick Motors has been top notch. We visited several other dealerships, both Subaru and other makes, but no one educated us on the car itself like Chris did. He was also extremely congenial, no pressure, just striving to make the process as easy as possible for us with our two kids in tow. Beyond that, everyone at the dealership is genuinely friendly, which says more than anyone's words could. Even the session with the finance manager was relaxed, not the usual tense, pressure-filled affair that makes me vow never to visit X dealership again. Finally, the two times we've had the Outback in for maintenance have been so easy. I love that they will let you make an appointment and wait, and their waiting area is very comfortable. Ashley King in Subaru service is a delight, so friendly and considerate. I could go on, but suffice it to say, my husband and I are beyond happy with Frederick Motors and our Outback.

Subaru Outbacks are in high demand. Even more so if you have a particular configuration in mind. We had been working with Mark for a couple of months as we tried to narrow down exactly what we wanted. He called us last week to inform us that a new truckload was in transit that had one model, the 2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R, that he thought we'd be interested in. Then on the day it arrived he called us and we set an appointment for 11 that morning to test drive it. We loved. A couple of hours later we drove off the lot in a new car. They appraised our old car and gave us a fair price as a trade-in and they even knocked a little off the MSRP on this hot selling model that was so in demand that another customer was hovering in the hopes that we'd choose a 4 cylinder model so he could have the 6. They then prepped the car for us, arranged the financing, and it was ours. Mark then spent some time showing us how everything works. Turns out this car with its Eyesight Technology package can do a lot! Once we were comfortable with everything we shook hands and set out on the open road for a nice drive followed by a nice dinner out. We are very happy with the car and with Mark and the team at Frederick Motor Company. Definitely would recommend these folks.

I emailed Scott about a car he had listed and had a deal in place within 90 minutes. He went far above and beyond to make it happen and was absolutely terrific throughout the entire process. He showed me a text where he had received a higher offer shortly after we had made a deal via email, and his response that a "deal was made and it would be unethical to renege on it." Incredibly honest and upfront on everything. Couldn't ask for a better fella to work with. I drove almost 6 hrs one way to pick this car up and would do it again wthout question. I had purchased a Ford from this dealership 4 years ago and that's when I met Walter. When it was time to buy my next car, a Subaru this time, I went back to Walter because he will work to get you the best deal and is one of the few car salesmen I have found that is low pressure. When I couldn't find what I wanted, he immediately recommended factory ordering the car. I waited (impatiently) for 6 weeks, but it finally arrived! When I went to pick it up, Walter went over the car, bumper to bumper, and made sure I understood all the buttons and navigation system. When I asked questions, he went and researched it while I was in finance, and had the answers when I was done. He also took the car back to detailing when he noticed some things were not as clean as he liked. Walter is one of the few people I have encountered that knows the true meaning of customer service!

We began our experience with Frederick Motor Company (FMC) over five years ago through the service needs of our 2009 Tribeca purchased at another dealership in Maryland. Over time we became loyal fans of Subaru and FMC due to the service desk and the product quality. In 2011 we leased an Impreza from FMC to replace a Honda Accord that was going to college; with that lease ending soon we were seeking something with more ground clearance, i.e., a Forester. Ideally, my husband and I were hoping to find an AWD vehicle that was also a Hybrid. At FMC we found the Crosstrek XV Hybrid--giving us exactly what we wanted in the price range we could afford. Went well, were willing to neg. on car even though I had to order it. Chris Did a good job helping with the pricing. Worked with Ashley in service they checked the car eyesight system for me to give me confidence that it was working. I enjoyed working with Chris, during the sale and he went over the car during delivery. Also, Chris provided good follow to make sure all was well with the car a few days after delivery. It was a low/no pressure environment and I liked working with Chris and the others in the dealership. Finance dept. didn't pressure me to purchase an additional warranty but did ask if I wanted one, but then they are supposed to do that.

I bought my first car here at Ford in Frederick, and I couldn't be happier. I bought a 2014 Ford Focus FE and LOVE it. Eric White was very knowledgable and informative about the car and all I needed to know about it as well as being extremely kind to my mother and me. Once the deal was made, he gave me the key and I drove out of there (same day) with my new car with only 17 miles on it (including the test drive). I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I would definitely recommend Eric as your sales representative. I even stopped by a few weeks later with a question about when to get my free oil change at Ford and he didn't hesitate to help me (even though I dropped by without calling ahead or making an appointment). He, as well as the entire Ford sales team, is extremely kind, respectful and really care for you as an individual. I would definitely recommend them, no doubt about it!

I had a special circumstance so I contact Pat, the sales manager, first. He was very helpful in email correspondence and introduced me to Roberto when I arrived. I drove two vehicles and knew what I wanted. During the test drive Roberto was patient and answered questions, he was not in the least bit pushy. Without any hesitation Roberto was able to get my truck from another dealership and that was a seamless transaction. When I made the purchase Keith was very straightforward and answered all our questions. I had a "we owe" item; bed liner, and when I came in to leave my truck off I learned that an old friend, Grant, now worked there and he greeted me with great sincerity and volunteered to bring me to work as the shuttle wasn't to be back for 30 minutes. I have owned over 30 cars in my nearly 40 years of driving, and these guys made the experience as good a one as I have ever had...THANKS! PS, on the optional question below, there was simply no reason to go anywhere but Frederick Motor Company.

Leased 2014 Ford Transit Connect XLT. Chris KNUPP did a SUPERB JOB of making sure I had all the information needed to make a decision on two separate occasions. I had to delay an earlier search for a new vehicle at the dealership because of an intervening health issue of mine. Chris was interested enough to ask about me even when I had to curtail this initial search. We resumed my search for a new vehicle when I brought my wife in for a look at the XLT and after that it was a rather quick process of choosing a vehicle to finalizing our first leased vehicle. I believe the price was good but I settled for several extra accessories just to get a quicker delivery of an existing vehicle in the area inventory. Delivery information was VERY thorough, perhaps way to much info all at once for me on the extensive SYNC system. If Quality of Work refers to Service, I have not had to use any Service as yet and therefore cannot rate.Again, a VERY POSITIVE experience with the Dealership and the Sales Associate, Chris KNUPP.

Once we got there we test drove our car and once we got back we started going over some paperwork and while Kevin in the business office took care of our financing info, Janie went over the features with us. Overall I don't think I've ever got through buying a car that fast! I had visited the dealership earlier in the week and spoke to Chris about a Taurus SEL. My wife and I came by that following Saturday and took a drive in the SEL. Ford was offering some great incentives and this dealership also provided a good discount. We ended up buying a Taurus Limited since we liked the exterior color better and the other accessories. Chris worked with us in a very polite and professional manner and we were able to drive off in the Limited. The entire experience was relaxed and even though it was Memorial weekend we did not experience the hectic atmosphere at most dealerships. Chris Curry has followed up with a couple phone calls to see how things were going. Today I picked up my tags and Chris put them on and as always was very friendly. All in all a good experience including working with the sales manager Patrick.

I liked the look of the Fusion and decided to take a test drive with the hybrid Fusion. I did not like the feel of the hybrid. After hearing that Ford was offering a hefty incentive on Ford Focus Electric models, my wife and I started looking at local dealerships for inventory. We started by checking with a dealership very close to us who did not have a vehicle and were unable to get one in from other dealer stock. In our research we came across The Frederick Motor Company and saw that they had a white FFE in stock, which is what we wanted. I applied for a loan with our local credit union, and at the same time was put in touch with Roberto at The Frederick Motor Company. Within a 24 hour period, Roberto had ballpark numbers for us, without even seeing our trade in, and had us approved for 0% APR through Ford Motor Credit. This all took place on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Friday, we drove down to the dealership with our trades. Roberto greeted us outside and we saw that our car was already prepped and waiting for us. While we signed some standard paperwork and took the FFE for a test drive our trades were evaluated. We ended up receiving far more than we expected for our trades. Roberto was very friendly and did everything he could to get us a good deal. We were at the dealership for roughly 2 hours (mostly to ensure that the car had a full charge). Roberto spent a great deal of time with us setting up our MyFordMobile account and showing us various features of the vehicle while it was charging. Roberto went out of his way to try and find a charging station between the dealership and our house because the trip was close to the charge range of the vehicle. Unfortunately, there was not a charging station between the dealership and our house, but we ended up not needing a charge to get home anyway.Overall, this was the smoothest car buying experience we have ever had, and we would certainly recommend The Frederick Motor Company and Roberto Lopez to any friends and family in the market for a new Ford or Subaru.

My spouse and I started our search for a new car at a very nearby competitor; we were so put off by how pushy they were that afterwards we were dreading the process of car shopping. Our experience at Frederick Motor Company was better. Walter assisted us and he was much more laid back and more knowledgeable than the competitor. We explained our budget and he worked with us to get the SUV we wanted for a fair price. He outlined exactly what the bottom line, out-the-door price would be so that once we were ready to buy, the paperwork was straightforward and quick--no surprises. When we got the keys, he walked out to the front with us and took time to re-explain the computer features and help us set up bluetooth, even though there was another family waiting to look at a car. He could have rushed us out after we paid to jump on the next customer, but he didn't; he wanted us to leave throughly satisfied--which we were.

I bought a new Subaru Outback two days ago. Grant Schley and Frederick Motor Company were fantastic to work with. I solicited 8 dealerships for price quotes. Frederick Motor Company was the farthest away, an hour drive. I live in Northern Virginia, and there are MANY dealerships in my area. Grant got back to me almost immediately with the lowest quote. He had done research to find the color and package I wanted, even though he didn't have it at his dealership. Over the next two days, he sent me dealer invoice information on the car and pricing. He was completely forthcoming and honest throughout the entire process and was never pushy or aggressive. I decided to go with Frederick Motor Company because of the low quote but also because of Grant's integrity. Once I notified the other dealers that I had made my decision, they immediately came at me with counteroffers that were equal to the initial quote given me by Frederick Motor Company. They also miraculously found cars that hadn't previously been on their lot. With these new offers, I could have purchased a car much closer to my home. However, I decided to stay with Grant and Frederick Motor Company because of their excellent customer service. I soon discovered that Grant also had a great deal of the "human element.' Knowing how excited I was about my purchase, when it arrived at his dealership, he texted me a photo of my car with the caption, "She is here!" The finance process and pickup of the car was just as easy and trouble free. I would highly recommend this dealership, and when I purchase a new car in 15 years (or maybe 20, knowing Subaru quality) I will certainly come back! Five Stars!

We went to Frederick Motor Company to test drive a couple models of the 2014 Subaru. Rick greeted us as we started to walk around the lot. He showed us the models we were interested in and we did a test drive in two models. I told Rick that we were interested, but were still looking. He said he understood and there was no pressure. I called the next day to talk with Rick and ask some questions. He answered those that he could and called back within about 10 minutes on the finance ones that he had to look up numbers. At that time I told him that since I was a Pastor and it was a really busy time of the year, I would call him back after Easter. Within two days, the car that we were going to replace with the new one died. I called Rick and we were at the dealership later that evening purchasing a new car. Both Rick and the Finance person (I cannot remember his name) stay with us after closing time to finish the deal.It was a long day and I was ready to go home. Rick told me I could come back sometime in the next few days to go over any questions I might have have about the features. I did just that. I called an made an appointment for about an hour later (which I was a couple of minutes late for) and Rick spent time with me going over the features and setting up the Bluetooth function.This was by far the best car buying experience I and my wife have ever had.

Having purchased 2 Subaru's from Rick at the Frederick Motor Company in the past I knew I would get the best service and price for my next Subaru. But to keep them in "check", I did price elsewhere but of course ended up at Rick's desk again. At first the price wasn't where I needed it to be , but in the end we drove away in our new Forrester XT. Rick and the management understood where I wanted to be and worked with me so I would be satisfied with the price. Rick always provides top notch service with absolutely no pressure to buy as does the management. Frederick Motor Company is a smaller but very capable dealership that operates much differently that those big box dealerships where you are simply a sales figure. I had a great experience shopping for my new Ford Escape. I knew the style and color I was looking for and I when I didn't find the one I wanted in the parking lot, Rick came out and greeted me and took me inside to search the inventory. In no time at all, he was able to pull around front the exact style (extended sun roof) I was looking for, in the right color, plus it had even more features than I was looking for. I really feel I got a very modern vehicle for a very fair price. Rick was great to work with, and he was very knowledgeable about every detail of the car. On the Dealership website I asked for an 'eprice' on a Subaru WRX that I was interested in. Brandon Wilson responded promptly with a very good price. He made the car available for a test drive, letting me know when he was available. I visited the dealership and went on a test drive in the car and Brandon was very knowledgeble about the car and it's features. The dealership personnel were all very courteous and friendly throughout my visit. At no time did anyone pressure me to purchase other products (warranties, etc). I couldn't have received better service from him or from anyone else for that matter. I explained to Brandon that I owned a Subaru many years ago and remember it being a very well built car (as I had kids in tow at the time) and always wanted to come back to check out the newer ones and I was completely sold after viewing the newest styles. Although we knew wed be buying a car within a week or so, we hadnt decided on the exact car or dealership. How fortunate we were that we stopped by The Frederick Motor Company and Walter was the one to come out and greet us on that bitter cold day! He spent a great deal of time answering our questions, going for a test drive and answering more questions. After a second day of looking at cars at other dealerships, we returned the third day to purchase our Fusion from Walter. He took the time to explain all of the features and even introduced us to the Service staff. Its rare to find a salesman (of any product) who is that knowledgeable and also interested in the customer. It was a great experience, and we would recommend those in the marker for a new (or used) car to visit the dealership and talk to Walter.

From the first time I stopped at the dealership, Chris and the entire staff were very helpful and understanding of my wants and needs for trading in and purchasing (leasing) a new vehicle for my wife. This vehicle purchase was my second purchase from The Frederick Motor Company, and from Andy Messer. It was wonderful. As a full-time student I was nervous when looking to upgrade my starter car for something still fuel and cost efficient but a little larger with four wheel drive, Andy helped me find the Escape that was perfect for me, and helped me find the best financing deal possible! Andy was really helpful in explaining different options of Escapes, and explaining the new features in my Escape. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. And though I don't plan to buy a new car anytime soon, when I do I will certainly go back to Andy at Ford Motor Company.

It was time for a new car. My husband and I were undecided between Subaru Outback and a Ford Escape to replace our 2008 Escape.We are used to the Frederick Saturn dealership (Bob Russell), who let us take the car for a spin and feel it out. At Frederick Motor Company, the salesperson drives you first and then drive with them. This took a little getting used to, but Chris knew most of his stuff. Once we decided on the Escape, we scoured inventory to find the options desired. Nothing met our options. Apparently, you can no longer get seat heaters without leather seats in Fords. From the Big ford dually we use to pull our racing trailers, to 2 work trucks to my stepson's mustang, Ken takes care of us. I can trust Ken to find the things that need fixing on my 2002 F150 Supercrew without putting me in the poorhouse. He knows how much I love my old truck - and keeps me on a regular schedule of maintenance. My husband and I went in at the end of the day trying to decide between a Ford Fusion and Escape. Walter Smith was great, he let us take our time and test drive both vehicles. He explained the advantages of each vehicle and all the features of the different models. After test driving both vehicles and accessing our car we had for trade in it was well after closing. We wanted a specific color so to allow time for Walter to locate the vehicle and to give us time to make the best decision we decided to return the next day, again after work just a few hours before closing. We return the next day and test drove the exact Escape we wanted and made the purchase. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and never rushed us in the process, allowing us to ask tons of questions, even though it was past their normal business hours. I would recommend if you are looking for a new vehicle and you want a nice salesman that will not do the "high pressure" sell that you go see Walter.

We came to look for a Subaru to lease. Walter was knowledgeable about the model that would fit our needs and extremely helpful throughout the entire process as we decided which features we were interested in. He conducted a thorough search of neighboring dealers to find the car we wanted and arranged to have it delivered promptly. He guided me on a trial drive that was comprised of different driving terrains and highways, helpfully instructing me on the features of the engine and brakes so that I would get the most out of my car. Rick was very knowledgeable and took the extra time to point out the features of my Forester and showed me how to use them. The road for the test drive was such that it had hills, curves etc. so you could really see how the SUV handled. Rick introduce me to Ashley King who will be setting up my service visits. She was very friendly and explained how the service area worked. Rick even gave me his cell and home phone numbers if I needed anything. I had to call him about some info for my insurance. He called me back within 45 minutes.

I was looking at a new Ford Fiesta 2013. I stopped by and was taken on a very good test route that allowed me to see exactly how the car would perform over hills, in traffic, the highway, turning ability and visibility. When the car I had hoped to get was sold my sales associate, Roberto Lopez, searched through the other dealers in the area to bring in another Fiesta of the same model and extras. He even assisted me with the final paper work on his day off ( delivered the next day after sale) so that I could get to experience and get on the road with my new car . To some people that may not seem like much, but I find it hard to find people willing to come in and sacrifice their own day off when they do not really have to. So far I am extremely happy with my new car and would recommend anyone looking at Fords/Subaru to check out this dealership in Frederick.

Bob Dolan answered my initial inquiry in a timely manner and when I went for a test drive, he was informative but not pushy about buying the car. He even asked me to take a look around the lot for a different car before making a decision. Bob is very personable and knowledgeable! There were no cars at the time, on the dealer lot when we had arrived, that fit in our price range. However, he quickly researched his inventory and revealed to us that the company had just acquired a trade-in that might fit our needs. Over the many years we have purchased cars from several dealerships in the area; however, five years ago we discovered the Ford Motor Company. There is a reason why my family has purchased the last three cars from this dealership. Our experience with both the sales and service departments have been excellent.Sales - My family has purchased three new Subarus in the past three years. Our sales person, Walter Smith, is not only car knowledgeable, but also understands the importance of following up and attention to details. He remembers because he listens to his customers. His attention to customer service shows that he honestly cares that the customer is satisfied. Smith is personable and conveys the information needed to make an informed car buying decision. No sales pressure. You buy ---or not buy --- on your timetable.Even though Smith knows that most of his sales are to people who have driven many vehicles before, he meticulously goes through the car's features and demonstrates everything. Because cars are so much more sophisticated, the demonstration process takes time, but Smith disseminates the information in an organized fashion and at a nice pace --- not too fast that one has trouble following, but not too slowly that the customers mentally check out. Even the most mundane information can reveal nuances to aid in the functionality of the car. For example, using the key fob buttons is intuitive, but most of us never click it more than two times. Click it three times, guess what happens? This and a host of other all-good-to-know tidbits makes the customer more in command of his or her driving experience.Service - The Ford Motor Company service is excellent. It was a good experience from the time I entered the showroom and met my Sales Rep Mr. Chris Curry. I was originally going to trade-in my 2005 Focus on a new Focus. However, while looking at Focus', I spotted a 2014 Mustang that I really liked, and when I learned it was the last year for the old school Pony Car style, that made up my mind. All the other staff I met were equally friendly and helpful. Working on the final price was not really a hassel like days of old. The sales person is important, and being matched with Chris Curry was a great deal to do with buying at Frederick Motor Company.I can't comment on the Service Dept as I have not had to use same as yet, But the Dept supervisor explained all things well.

The dealer is not part of the USAA buying service. I came in and asked if they would honor the USAA target price, Rick asked if they did what was my intent. I answered I would buy the vehicle. The MSRP for the GT Mustang I was interested in was $44,715 the USAA target price was $38,773. They accepted the USAA price and I purchased the Mustang the next day. No deposit was needed and it was hassle free. Thanks for making this an easy experience.

I have never wanted to go into a dealer and buy a car, because i have pulled up multiple times just for service and 3 people try to sell me a car before i reach the door. I was expecting the same when i went to the Frederick Motor Company, but was greeted by Walter and the whole experience was easy and got exactly what I wanted.I had already began talking with Koons and Jerry's Ford through email, but i did not feel like it was a big deal to them. I would write an email and they would write back 2 days later and i was directed to and contacted by several people and did not have a dedicated person to help me out. I have used the service dept. in the past and they too,... One listen to my concerns, and second and most important, get the job right the first time. They even let me watch a repair being performed because of my concern that it be performed to my satisfaction. I am not the easiest person to deal with when it comes to the maintenance and care of my car. I keep them perfect mechanically. This is the Fifth new vehicle I have purchased from this dealership since 1995. I have, in that time, purchased from two other dealerships. We were looking at the new Ford Cmax with everything except the vista roof. They had one in stock and we went in for a test drive. Chris greeted us on the lot and was very friendly. He asked us a few questions about what we were looking for, and then he got the car for us. He gave us a quick run down of some of the features that the vehicle had, and then we gave the car a spin. He was very knowledgeable about the car and shared this information professionally and without bias. We ended up purchasing the car that day, and Chris was very helpful throughout the process. Would recommend the dealership, car, and customer service! As far as the car, we are getting 52 mpg on our regular commute consistently, which is even better than the 47 mpg EPA rating.

I contacted numerous dealers throughout Maryland via email, looking to buy a 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium. Janie was the only one to respond with a price, and not some cliche sales person response like "come on down to look". Most dealerships haven't quite grasped that people are looking to avoid the hassle and obnoxious process that can be buying a vehicle. It appears Frederick Motor Company is an exception.Janie not only provided me with a price in her first reply, but it was the best price I got from any dealership. She didn't play any games, and gave me the most reasonable price on the vehicle up front. She was very prompt replying to emails and questions. She was super friendly and helpful. I thought buying a car was going to be a merciless slug fest, and it was for the most part, until I started dealing with Janie. I can't say enough good things about her, my experience was that wonderful.When the deal was settled, and I arrived to finalize paperwork and purchase the vehicle, I was in and out in 10-20 minutes. I will be suggesting anyone I know that is interested in buying a vehicle in the future to contact Janie.

I've dealt with Frederick Motors for many years and been extremely pleased with the service on my Subarus. I visited a dealership in PA, because I live in PA now. The salesman was not at all helpful, so I went back to Frederick Motors even though buying out of State requires additional steps. Walter Smith showed me several vehicles and I narrowed the choice down to 2 which I test drove in pouring rain. He answered all my questions and showed me how to adjust the seat so that the high headrest is not a problem. After the sale, he spent a great deal of time going over all the features and helped me set up the hands-free phone system. I can not say enough nice things about this dealership and this salesman. Rick Kleinota was thorough and knew how to deal well with potential customers. The first Saturday we came in, he did not pressure me at all to purchase right away, although I might have...Also want to mention that as we approached the show room the first Saturday,a sales rep greeted us and as I noted that he smoked, I mentioned that I was asthmatic and could not work with anyone who smoked. He was quite gracious and introduced us to Rick Kleinota. I thought that action indicated a well run dealership in which the object was to sell cars well, not to push people in to unworkable connections.On the next Saturday, when I did buy the car, which I really like, several times Rick asked if he should leave us alone to talk, and was silent while we debated things. I didn't feel pressured into buying the car, it was totally my choice. Well, it was the one on the lot and it wasn't white or off white!!Nice folks, nice experience. The car was made ready for me to take home not too quickly but i good time and all the paper work, done reasonably quickly. The financial person was not too pushy when I said no to extra sale items.My husband had bought a Ford Focus from the Frederick Motors a couple of years ago and was pleased, which is why we went there in the first place.

First, It's great being back with Ford, my wife and I traded our Sebring Convertible for a new Escape. It was our choice to by a new vehicle from a Company that did not take the bail out from the taxpayers. The total experience from meeting Chis Curry the first day while just looking and throughout the process of actually purchasing the vehicle was great. It's a great feeling when buying a vehicle that the sales person and everyone involved are courteous, respectful, and just plain genuine people. That has been hard to find in today's world. We found a great quality of personnel at this dealership as we made our rounds on the tour after our purchase. As stressful as it can be to by a new vehicle, my wife and I are so pleased with everyone we encountered with the purchase. My 19yr old son was ready to purchase his first car. He wanted a Ford Focus Titanium in black. The local dealerships in Bel Air, Maryland were not helpful. The first dealership (which I purchased my last car, a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL) did not locate a car or call us back after visiting my salesman. The second dealership was ready to sell my son a car without offering him all the rebates available and with a whopping discount of 1.4% off MSRP. In fact they were ready to write up an order without even telling us the price. Not surprising, this same dealership tried in 1985 to sell me a GT Mustang with added charges in the price for items that came as standard equipment. I went online and located the Ford Focus that my son wanted on Frederick Motor Company's website. I called and asked to speak to new car sales. Grant Schley answered the call and was able to confirm the sale price, rebates, and availability of the car. I told Grant we wanted to buy the car and would be there to purchase in a couple hours. He had the car cleaned and parked in the front of the building. When we got there we were greeted by friendly sales staff. Grant made us feel welcome and was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the car. We went through the pricing and all was as explained over the phone. There was no funny business. Grant asked if we minded if the finance manager could see if he could get us a better rate than the 2.5% State Farm pre-approved us for. He was able to get us 1.64%. Grant went into detail on the Sync system so that my son would get the most use out of it's features. He took his time and even showed us the service shop and service manager. My 19yr old saw both ends of the car buying spectrum that day. How not to operate (Bel Air dealers) and how to operate (Frederick Motor Co.). It was a pleasant experience from start to finish dealing with Grant Schley and his co-workers. Even though this dealership is 1 hour and 20 minutes from my house I will be sure to give them the opportunity to earn our business again.

This is the second year in a row that we have purchased a vehicle with Frederick Motor Company. Both times, we worked with Rick, who was absolutely outstanding! In 2012, we did an inquiry online and had an answer within 30 minutes. Rick met with us when it was convenient for us based on our commuter schedule. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. There was no pressure to buy a vehicle, which was refreshing! He laid out all of our finance options, gave his personal opinion, which was best for us and not necessarily wheeling and dealing to make the most money for the company. When we made the decision to buy, he went over all of the details of the vehicle and explained everything. At the very end, Rick gave us his personal number in case any questions came up or we had any issues. I had never seen that kind of customer service, especially from a car dealership. Typically, once they have the sale, you never hear from them again. In 2013, when we identified the need for another vehicle, there was no question where we would buy from. This time around, we had a similar experience. If we buy a vehicle next year (God forbid!), we would go to Frederick Motor Company, hands down. For as long as we live in this area, Frederick Motor Company will be the only dealership to get our business. We would recommend this dealership, and especially Rick, to anyone - friends, family and strangers, alike.

Customer Service: Within minutes of arriving and looking at our soon-to-be new car, we were greeted first by Chris (Eyler?) who was soon diverted by a manger. This was by no means a problem because he was replaced at the same moment by Rick Kleinota who stayed with us for the rest of the sale - even though he and we were under the impression that Chris would return. This was real customer service; given the fact that initially he would not get the sale, he helped us anyway as if it was his sale. As it happens, he stayed with us for the rest of the morning and throughout the entirety of the sale. He was extremely knowledgeable, he was able to answer every question, and most importantly he treated my wife and I with dignity and respect from the first meeting to the test drive and even during the traditionally uncomfortable 'numbers' portion. Perhaps my favorite point in our experience with Rick was when we were all finished and going through the delivery procedure and he told my wife and I that when we bought the car, he (Rick) came with it. He then proceeded to share all of his contact information with us down to his home phone and told us to call him any time day or night if we ever have any issues, questions, or concerns and he would make every effort to take or return our call- and I believe him when he told us to do so. Rick was by far the best and most sincere person I have ever dealt with when buying a car and I will continue to buy form him as long as he is selling cars. He is a treasure to the Frederick Motor Company.Quality of Work: Excellent, this was the fastest car buying experience I have ever encountered. There were absolutely no mistakes in the paperwork or any misspellings of my excessively long name (a rare occurrence on lengthy contractual documentation). The detailing prior to delivery was excellent and very timely.Friendliness: Everyone I dealt with including Chris, Rick, and the finance manager (who's name escapes me) were very friendly and treated us like we were family.Overall Experience: Hands-down the best car buying experience to date. Price: The lowest price available on a 2013 Mustang GT Premium within 500 miles of my home. Additionally, when I presented Rick with a discrepancy in price between the internet and the hang-tag, he did not hesitate to clear the lower of the two prices through management. Walter knew the product line well. He was able to explain the features in detail so that we could make an informed decision about which car to purchase. Walter also took a lot of extra time to go over the car once the purchase was complete. Even though the dealership was closing he stayed and made sure we understood all of the features of the computerized My Ford Touch system and various other operating components. The dealership is great place to buy a new car. We bought a 2013 Ford Taurus Limited, received a great deal on the car with great service from Walter. Before buying, we were given a test ride of a couple of models and shown all the options and pricing available. Once deciding on the model and options, I ordered the car and it came in 2 weeks earlier than I expected. When picking up the Ford Focus, Grant spent over 2 hours just going over the controls and how to work the Ford Sync, Navigation, Phone Controls, Lighting, Wipers, Cruise Control, Door Locks, Gas Filler, and anything else you can think of.His advice of just sitting in the car and playing with the controls WITHOUT driving was a good one. Traded in a Subaru Outback for a 2013 Fusion- process was smooth and quick. Not only was the color of the Fusion available, but so was the options for a price that beat local competitors. Walter took time to show all the features on the car and gave an overview of all manuals we had coming with the new car and answered any questions that we had. Before leaving the lot with the new car, Walter had helped us set up Sync My Ride, helped set radio/Sirus, and even showed how to work the voice commands after he showed us how to link our phones to the car. We were treated with respect and patience as we made the choice of a vehicle that would meet our needs and price range. It was not easy as we arrived thinking we wanted a Forester and after the test drive decided it was not what we expected. Janie was extremely helpful in getting the price we wanted not only for the new car we purchased but for the trade in value of the car we were getting rid of. She was thorough in explaining the car before we left the lot and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were happy with our purchase before we left.We had been to the dealership when she was not there and the man who helped us (I wont mention him by name) seemed the least bit interested in helping in any way and even had another sales person show us the car because we were not actually going to test drive it that night - we had just stopped in to look at the color. It was so nice to then have Janie to take care of the sale. I did not intend to necessarily buy a car on the spot, but the right one was there and sales associate Scott Rosenfeld was extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire buying process. His courtesy and personable service throughout the whole experience was refreshing and made everything completely stress-free. I would definitely buy here again given the choice, and if I ever have need to do so I will seek out Mr. Rosenfeld specifically. We went to Frederick Motor Company in search of a car that is suitable for recreational towing behind a motorhome. After reviewing the owners manuals of two manufacturers with our salesperson, Rick Kleinota, we decided one with a manual transmission best suited our needs. We wanted a number of options not usually found in dealers inventories, but Rick spent a considerable amount of time, even on his day off, to find a car that met our needs. During the search he kept us informed of his efforts, and when he found one, he offered us a great price. The finance department worked directly with our credit union to complete the necessary forms, saving us time and effort so that we were able to take delivery quickly. Rick gave us a thorough introduction to the operation of the car and its accessories and said that we could call him on his cell anytime with questions. He introduced us to the service manager who explained the service process. Everyone we met was enthusiastic about the cars they sell and about working for Frederick Motor Company. Since taking delivery, Rick has called to see if we have any questions or concerns.

We went in for a test drive. Left with a new Outback. Seriously not what we planned. But the experience was, dare I say, amazingly pleasant! And unexpectedly quick considering we traded in a vehicle and got financing. As a boomer-aged customer, I've bought quite a few cars. This was the first experience I could describe without hesitation as being nice. For the record, Andy Messer is an engaging, nice, very informed sales guy. We were in the market to purchase a new truck. We originally were only planning on looking and getting price and making the purchase a month or two out. When we stopped at the FMC we were met by Rick who answered all our questions and pointed us in the right direction on their lot. I was searching for a 2013 Subaru Forester and had searched online at various dealerships and The Frederick Motor Company had the largest inventory in the area so I went there and started looking on a very cold winter day. I was greeted in a matter of minutes by a very friendly sales representative named Andy Messer. He was very knowledgeable about the Forester and showing me all the different amenities of the vehicle. Went for a test drive and really liked the way the Forester drove and handled. I had test drove several different Small SUVs from the Rav4 to the Honda Crv but was really impressed by the Forester. That being said I knew I wanted to purchase one but had a hard time figuring out what I wanted on the Forester and Andy was very patient with me letting me walk around and look through each one of the ones I was interested in. No pressure just pointing out the different options on each one. Once I had made my decision the process was very smooth and fast. My wife and I were in the Market for a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD and located one (via the Internet) that was optioned the way we wanted. It was located at Frederick Motor Co in Frederick, MD. My initial inquiry was via eMail, and was it met with a VERY timely response as to availability and pricing. The entire deal was negotiated via eMail with Kevin Moler in a matter of hours. There was no haggling on price, which was competitive with any dealer I could find in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. metro area. I was credit poor with better than average income, but Ron Musgrove was able to secure financing; others have tried and failed. The rate was better than average, given my credit score. Once again, this all occurred via eMail. When the time came to move forward and actually visit the dealership, we were introduced to Rick Kleinota, the Sales Consultant assigned to assist us with the finalizing of our deal. Rick was efficient and wasted no time in reviewing the vehicle's (very knowledgeable) features, warranty, and service requirements. Once we told Rick that we wanted to move forward and make the purchase, he immediately notified Ron Musgrove in the Finance department. Ron worked on completing the contract paperwork while Rick went over the sales checklist in great detail. Before we knew it, we were in Ron's office signing paperwork and then meeting with Rick inside our new vehicle to receive instructions on the multitude of systems and features that comprise a fully-loaded Ford Explorer.All told, our time spent at the dealership was about 2.5 hours. We are VERY satisfied and look forward to a lasting relationship with Frederick Motor Co.

After researching and test driving several vehicles I had made my decision that the 2013 Ford Fusion was the right car for me. After reaching that decision I had to decide on what I wanted in my car. I was working with a local dealer but quite honestly the more I communicated with him the less I liked him or trusted him. Everytime he called me in to check another vehicle he "thought" I would like I felt that he was trying to fit me into one of his cars instead of finding me the car that I wanted. We checked out two non-Ford dealerships. At each one, we were told we could not get a work truck equipped the way I wanted it. When we came to Frederick Motor Company, Grant was extremely helpful in finding a truck very close to what I wanted. He was the only salesperson of the three I spoke with (two from the other dealers) that took the time to explain all the "whistles and bells" the truck package included. He was also the only one who suggested that my wife also test drive the truck. When she and I returned from her test drive, he told us he found a truck at another dealer that exceeded what I had specified and, because it would be an exchange for a car they had on the lot, it would not cost any more than the one I had looked at. The only problem we was in getting the Farm Truck license plates, but the Frederick Motor Co. quickly corrected the problem at no additional cost to me. I am very happy with my new truck and would recommend Grant Schley and Frederick Motor Co. to anyone looking for great service on a quality vehicle.

Reasons why my experience with The Frederick Motor Company earned high marks: * Salesman Walter Smith insisted that we take a test drive even though it meant staying past closing and we told him that we definitely would not be buying the vehicle that day. (and we didn't) He was knowledgeable about the Subaru's handling capabilities and guided my driving experience to demonstrate this. * Sales Manager Kevin Moler matched the discounted price offered through a buyer's service that was provided by my insurance company. (available only at another dealer in VA) We conducted this process by e-mail which was convenient, expedient and clear, and eliminated the tortuous negotiating process. * Business Manager, Ron Musgrove was genuinely nice and easy to deal with. He did not push (even a little) when I explained that while I would listen politely to his descriptions of the different warranties available, I would not be buying any of them. * I expected my new Subaru Forester to be clean on pick up, but it had also been waxed and had a full tank of gas! Walter patiently helped me install the floor mats while explaining different features and he set up my Bluetooth speed calls. He walked me over to the service department and explained the process.

Walter was very helpful throughout the entire process of factory ordering a 2013 Ford Mustang. He knew all of the in's and out's of the factory ordering process, which seems like it would be a difficult process. Walter always presented himself in a kind way, and was very easy to ask any questions or bring up concerns. I ordered a new Focus ST from the Frederick Motor Company. From the very start every employee I dealt with was very helpful and friendly. My order came in on time with no problems what so ever. I just picked up the car today and things couldn't have been smoother. The price was great, everything was efficient with no hang ups. I really cant say much else. It was one of the easiest car buying experiences I have had. The employees treated me as if I was family. Overall I would recommend this dealership if you are looking to buy a Ford or Subaru.

We were not the 'average' car buyer since my husband is disabled and we were looking for a vehicle that would be easy for him access and comfortable for him to ride in. I had been to many dealers in the area looking for a vehicle that would accomodate my husband's needs. My first visit to the dealership was by myself and, after explaining our needs to Sherry, she helped me look at several different choices and took me on two test drives for a comparison. I then returned with my husband for another LONG test drive in the Outback to see about his comfort during our drive. Sherry helped explain the seat adjustments and worked with us to obtain the best option for my husband's comfort. Since my husband was tired after our drive, Sherry suggested that we handle the pricing by email so he would not have to make another trip to the dealership. We were pleased that she was very sensitive to our limitations and we were pleased with the discount. There was one additional accessory that we asked for and Sherry immediately gave us the information and price and the decision was made.....BUY! Getting to the dealership to pick up the vehicle turned out to be a logistical problem for us and Sherry offered to drive to our home (25 minutes) in our new car and pick us up! I don't think we could get any better service than that! We were exceptionally pleased with our sales experience with Sherry. Often people will not take the time to explore the needs, ask questions and offer the type of service required by a disabled person. Not Sherry........she gets an A+ !

Lauren McMillion efficiently and knowledgably guided me through three test drives and rounds of feature questions for 2013 Ford Escape and a couple of other vehicles on Saturday. When departing the dealership I simply requested she email me her best offer price. On Monday she emailed in writing the .pdf of window sticker and a very nice discount. This was with one request, in writing. No run-arounds like other dealers had in my past. Lauren also has a great back-office staff that supported her quickly with financing and titling options. I decided to buy on Monday evening, emailed my insurance and credit ap, arrived to pick up vehicle Tuesday and all paperwork was completed except my signatures. I had been looking for a new truck, preferrably a Ford F150, for several months and had visited several regional Ford/Chevy/GMC dealers. Not until I began working with Roberto did I finally have hope that I was going to find the right truck for the right price. Roberto worked extremely hard for me to find the exact truck with all the features I wanted and even though I know I went in with a great offer from another Ford dealer, they kept their promise to beat any other Ford dealer's offer by $500. Not only did they beat their offer, Roberto was able to find some additional rebates for me that other dealers did not. Roberto is low pressure but works very hard in the background to make sure you are satisfied. It is wonderful to find a local dealer that I now can count on for future vehicle purchases that I know will treat me with respect, not pressure me, and give me the best deal possible without the confrontation and uncomfortableness that often-times goes with "making a deal." Even the part when you have to set down to sign the papers and talk about financing went extremely smooth and I think I was in and out in about 30 minutes. What a wonderful feeling not having to spend an entire afternoon buyng a vehicle. They keep their promises and they really work hard to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I highly recommend them, and ask for Roberto!

I was very impressed with the knowledge that Scott had about his vehicles but expecially impressed with this technical knowledge. Anything I asked about, he either had done his homework or knew where to find the answer and did. The friendliness of the all the staff was more than just the day I looked at the car but also when I returned in followup visits. Andy has helped us pick the Ford and Subaru cars and trucks that truly meet our family's needs. He knows the cars. He works with us to get the best price possible and the best financing available. He follows-up with phone calls to make sure the car or truck is all we'd hoped for and expected.Five cars is a lot. Sometimes we were buying because we wanted a new car. Sometimes we were buying because we had to. Each time Andy was there with a friendly smile, warm handshake, good cars and great prices. It's possible to get lucky and get a salesperson on his/her good day and get a good deal. That's not the way Andy and the sales managers at Frederick Motor Company do business. They're there for you before, during and after the sales, time and again. (Body shop is outstanding too. And, that's not usually a fun place to have to be.)

My experience at The Frederick Motor Company in Frederick, MD was a very satisfying one. Lauren McMillion, Sales and Leasing Consultant was very thorough, did not pressure, was focused and personable on where I was coming from in my needs and future expectations. Traded in my fun roadster for a Ford Focus. Got the sports package model and took right from show room! Love the sparkly red paint, sporty interior, spoiler and black rims! Have had it four days; and pleasantly surprised by its acceleration and spunk! Love it! Trade was averageone always wishes for morebutIm happy. Everyone at this dealer would greet at the door if not with customer; and throughout the process from Lauren to warranties, financing, meeting service Advisor all were professional and informative. Was there many hours; and actually started to feel like they will be my little family. LOL That is hard to find these days in a world of Tech and hurriedness. I cannot praise Lauren enough she sat in car showing how all the buttons worked, went with me on test drive, and now, even after the sale, sincerity abounds in continuing to assist if I do not understand something in the manual. Im glad I did what I did in getting this new car and thankful for nice people taking care of me and my car at Frederick Motor Co. Thank you Lauren for making it all happen!

Friendly, no pressure atmosphere. Lauren was terrific throughout the entire process, including being thoroughly engaging when I showed up with my family of 5 to test drive the Explorer. Lauren and the sales manager took me through step by step to "build" the car I wanted rather than pressuring me to buy an existing car on the lot that contained a lot of options I wasn't particularly interested in.I was also very pleased with the trade in value they assigned my existing car. They were much more aggressive than some other dealerships, and my final "all in" price resulting from the trade in of old and purchase of a new car was very fair. I also dealt with the sales manager and the finance manager (Keith)and was very happy with those interactions as well. I didn't plan on financing through the dealership but the the loan rate was the most competitive I had seen, so I went with it.On delivery day, I was in and out of the dealership in 2 hours, and that included a test drive to ensure the vehicle was working properly, and an informative tutorial from Lauren on the usage of the Explorer's Sync and other technology. Lauren has also called a couple of times since to make sure I am happy with the vehicle and to answer any questions that may have arisen.In the end, I feel I got a fair deal, and the experience was actually pretty terrific. I was happy to support a local dealership and am hopeful the service department will provide for as pleasurable experience as the sales department.I would recommend this dealership, and I'd recommend asking for Lauren.

I read that "My Ford Sync" was very confusing ~~~ not after Lauren explained it, she did a great job! It would be nice if the dealer gave a monthly free car wash to owners.

I saw this Subaru Forester on Frederick Motor Co. website in their inventory. I asked Sherry Ryan if I could look at it. I could not go in until the next day and when I got there she had the car ready and clean to take for a drive. I told her to keep the price below a certain figure and not only did she do that but she went $1200 below the figure I gave her. I would recommend Sherry Ryan as a sales person to anyone wanting a vehicle.

Upon my arrival one week ago at the Frederick Ford Motor Company I was ready to buy a new Ford. After entering the showroom I was never greeted or even acknowledged. I pretty much had to beg to get some help. Eventually a semi quasi so called salesman who was not polite or helpful made a pathetic attempt at offering assistance. When I told him that I was interested in a Ford Focus wagon he said this... "Ford has never made a Focus Wagon, there is not a single Focus wagon in existence on the planet earth. Of course this is a false statement they did make Focus wagons from 2002-2007. I then told the salesman that I did not specifically need a wagon and that a hatchback might suffice. But instead of showing me a hatchback or any car for that matter he just wanted to argue with me further about the fact that Ford never made a Focus wagon. I became frustrated after this because no progress was being made and his attitude was disregarding and arrogant. As I made my way to the exit door I mentioned to another salesman that I was interested in buying a new car but that I could not seem to get any help. He ignored me completely after throwing me an evil dirty look. Then I said to him "I came to buy a car and I guess that is not going to happen so...Good Bye!" He then turned to me and said: "Bye Bye Now" in a very sarcastic antagonizing manner and he was laughing at me right in my face. Finally I left the dealership completely humiliated vowing to never return, and as I made my way to the parking lot this salesman continued to laugh at me from the showroom window and heckle me with no mercy until I was in my car and pulling out of the parking lot. These people embarrassed me in public and humiliated me beyond belief and they seemed to get a big kick out of this at my expense. After I departed I called the dealership to express my dissatisfaction to J Skora the sales manager on duty. My complaint fell upon deaf ears and there was no apology, no resolve, and no invitation to come back and try again. Nothing was offered other than another stiff dose of arrogance and a total and complete disregard for the customer. I was still not happy and very hurt by the way they treated me so I sent an email to the Owner and every manager in the store once again expressing my outrage over the barbaric unprofessional service that I received. This was a week ago and I have not received a single email back out of the 12 emails I sent, and certainly not the apology that I deserve. I would like to warn others about this horrible disgusting dealership that is infested with toxic employees who are arrogant, disregarding, and downright abusive towards well meaning customers. I have never been so humiliated in my entire life nor have I ever been treated in such an evil and disrespectful manner. Warning! Stay away from this place unless you wish to be abused these are horrible nasty people with a long running legacy of treating their customers in a sick and savage manner.

I bought my car from this dealership, and my salesman, Rick Kleinota, could not have been more helpful. However, I have had absolutely horrible experiences dealing with the service department, and I will not be returning for any more service work. The service department is the absolute WORST with keeping records of their customers' issues and helping them work through problems. I had a simple problem (loose weatherproofing strip on one of my doors) that they failed to fix on my first trip in to deal with it, and when I called to tell them that their quick fix of double-sided tape (seriously!) didn't work, they didn't even have the part ready for my appointment, which I made far in advance AND made a point to explain to the service advisor who handled scheduling my appointment that I was coming back in to have fixed once and for all. I was told after waiting over an hour for my oil change and what I thought would be my weatherproofing strip replacement that the strip would have to be special ordered, EVEN THOUGH I traveled an hour and a half AFTER scheduling the special appointment to get it fixed. It's also worth noting that on the various occasions when I have taken my car in for routine maintenance and oil changes, I've heard service advisors on the phone apologizing countless times for "dropping the ball". It appears this is the norm for The Frederick Motor Company.And, fair warning, their service advisors are NOT in any way, shape or form prepared to deal with frustrated customers. The service advisor in question the day I thought I was getting my repair done, was nothing less than condescending and belittling to me the entire time, which did absolutely nothing but fuel my frustration at the entire situation. I was so rattled by the experience that I emailed the service manager when I got home, but I never received a response. Apparently, quality customer service is a non-factor at this organization. I guess they figure once they have your money, they don't have to work for your business. In any event, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. This company will never get another dime from me. I recommend this place only for people who are prepared to have their problems not addressed properly and who enjoy being disparaged by their car dealerships.

Rick worked very hard to find the right car for me and my family. At the time we were shopping, the 2012 Outbacks were available, but the 2012 Foresters were not. When we began, we were unsure as to whether to purchase an Outback or a Forester. Rick was tenacious in his efforts to find the right car for us (even coming in on his day off). He had many obstacles through this process, including... the unavailability of 2012 Foresters and the reluctance of other dealerships to exchange their remaining 2011 Foresters; another dealership selling a 2012 Outback that they had promised to exchange before the exchange could take place, and the unavailability of any other 2012 Outbacks in our first color choice and trim level in the area. Through all the difficulties, we wanted to continue working with Rick because we knew that he honestly wanted to find the right car for us at a fair price. We ended up buying a car from Rick that was recently delivered to his dealership. Picking up our new car at Frederick Motor Company was a very pleasant experience. We were especially appreciative of the time that Rick took showing us all the functions of our new car. We are very happy with our new Subaru and will be recommending Rick and Frederick Motor Company to our friends and family!

I went to the Frederick Motor Company first in my car search because my girlfriend had a great experience there, and because we really liked the salesman, Rick, that we'd worked with. Rick spent time with me the first day, test drove a few cars. He was great. I decided not to go with any of the cars he'd talked to me about, but I did, after some time, see a car on the lot I wanted - a 2012 slightly used Focus. Rick worked a great deal for me (I really couldn't recommend him highly enough, if he worked for a different dealership). He got me the exact deal I wanted, until it came to the financing. Their finance guy, Ron Musgrove, is the worst. We'd worked with him previously as well, and he'd tried to talk a bunch of nonsense to my girlfriend when she bought her car. Well, he takes my credit app (I have so-so credit, but I had a co-signer), runs to the back and leaves me sitting for 40-45 minutes. Eventually, he comes back and tells me he submitted my app to Capital One and cant use my co-signer (as he alread co-signed a loan with them, though its literally the only item on his credit). He got me approved, however, at 19% with an over $400 a month payment. I tell him I absolutely can't do that, and he should maybe shop it around. He opens my file and tells me the milage of my current car i'm trying to trade (214,000 miles) and with the distance I drive to work, I should probably jump at their offer so i'm not stranded along side the road...I got up and immediately left. Its a classic example of a dealership working for themselves and the kickback from the financier as opposed to working for me. My girlfriend and I could've easily been LIFELONG customers of this dealership if they'd taken care of me. Now, however, i'll never set foot inside the dealership again for sales or service (and i'll be byuing a Ford AND working in Frederick soon), and she will also now never buy from them or service her car there. Just an absolutely terrible experience, and I'd go out of my way to recommend no one ever shop there. They do not value relationships, and do not value their customers in the slightest.

This dealer is located very close by to me, so I was hoping to do business with them on a new Mustang, but for the second time no dice. I went into the dealer and told them what I was looking for. Told them that I had been there before but they were substantially beaten on price by their competition last time but that I'd give them a shot. Salesperson assured me she would make me the best deal when I decided on the actual car I wanted.I went home and did some research, and got offers from 3 competing dealers. I went back to FMC and told them who I had offers from, but not what the dollar amounts were. The salesperson assured me that they would be competitive. The next morning she faxes me over an offer that was $2,000 over the best offer I had. Folks, remember one thing. Car dealers are lots of things but they aren't dumb. They know where their competitors pricing is, especially since it's available publicly over the internet. FMC knew probably to the dollar the offers their competitors would make to me, but still made me an insulting first offer.I faxed over to her the actual offers I had, asking her what she would do with the offers I had were our roles reversed. They came down a grand, said it was their best offer, and tried to convince me that the other deals I had in writing were not inclusive of freight, when they clearly were. When I told her that the offers indeed included freight and pointed out where it was added in, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you people in sales think that went over in my mind?A sales manager called me back a little later with some sob story that they had put work into this deal and they had found me an extra $750 in private cash (that I already knew about from minute one so I'm sure they did), and for that simple reason I should go with them. LIKE SOMEONE CAN'T FIGURE OUT THAT THEY WERE GIVING ME THE EXACT SAME REBATES I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN ELSEWHERE, AND OTHER DEALERS WEREN'T GOING TO DO THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF WORK!FMC if you read this, the general public is not dumb about buying cars like they were 20 or 30 years ago. You can't pull those old time shenanigans and expect people not to know about them.BTW, since no one had the exact model I was looking for I expanded my search to used models and ended up with a drop dead gorgeous red 2008 Mustang convertible at another dealer 50 miles from home that I couldn't be happier with. If FMC had treated me like a knowledgeable shopper instead of a possible shill I wouldn't have it and I'd be 10 grand further in debt, so some might suggest I should thank them, but I won't. Last time there for me so no skin off my nose, but if I were anyone else I wouldn't even bother driving onto the lot unless you feel like paying premium prices because they "work hard for you!" at FMC.Jeff

If you are just looking to price things out, and ask them for their best price, be prepared to be abused. My husband and I just started looking at Legacy's today, and we are going to compare best prices around the area, but they only offered us 600 dollars off at first and when we asked if they could possibly go lower, the salesman apparently didn't feel the need to continue with us, so he went to get his sales manager that was there at the time. The "manager" came up to us shook our hands (not making eye contact whatsoever) and sat down and only offered us another 200 dollars off. We told him we were truly interested in purchasing the car and that we were going to go elsewhere and price it out. He instantly got defensive and clearly irritated and asked us "are you using us?" We were shocked! We weren't asking for anything in writing, just a price to go by! We got up to leave and he said "just go to another place! get out!" yelling at us the whole way out the door! If you go here, don't expect them to work with you on the price, but do expect to get mistreated and yelled at! I have NEVER EVER been treated so badly by anyone especially when it comes to a 25,000+ purchase!

Called a week ahead of time to schedule an oil change and tire rotation. Was quoted a total time one hour. Showed up at 10am for my scheduled service, and got my car out at 12:30pm.2.5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. On top of that, service department had the nerve to charge me the FULL amount for the service.Beware of servicing your vehicle here. You may be in for a long wait.
