Yesterday I bought a car and was happy with my sales guy Greg Dawkins and the whole buying experience! He was the first person that greeted me and my husband at the door and was professional, kind and to the point. No extra sales lingo or push to get me to buy anything else other than what I asked for or a push for financing. The whole process literally took 30 minutes after a test drive and I was out of the door. I left happy and I left with the car I wanted. If you want great customer service then you’ll definitely get it here!!

This was honestly the worst vehicle purchasing experience of my life. After driving 2 hours and looking at a used 2015 F-350 for about an hour I was told they would beat my pre-approved financing (3.65% over 5 years or 4.15 over 6 years) so I sat there for another 2 hours during which they had 7 banks pull my credit report. I understand the ability to shop around for the best rate but at no point did they inform me that they would check with 7 banks. I assumed they already had a bank that they would go to for their best rates. At this point it’s like, well if you can’t beat my rate stop running my credit and hurting it. So then I was informed that they had beat my rate and I went into the finance managers office (Jess S. - would not recommend working with him as he was very rude) where he started giving me papers to sign without even discussing financing with me. So I asked about the financing and he proceeds to say that only one bank approved me. So I went back to my question about financing and he then told me he got me approved for 7.75% over 6 years, after I had been told they beat my rate at my bank. Pretty shady. At this point I had been there for 3 hours and was ready to be done so I informed him I would just use my financing. He then informed me that if I didn’t accept their financing the price would go up $1,000. That’s fine I guess, a bit shady, but they reserve the right to control the price. I was then promised by several people the truck would be detailed until it was in perfect condition (it was so dirty inside, French fries under the seats, candy under the seats, dirt on everything). After waiting an entire week I was told the truck was ready (they had to replace a few sensors apparently) I came to pick the truck up and found that it was even dirtier than when I had looked at it. At this point I just accepted the fact that I would have to clean it myself. A terrible experience, would not recommend this dealer to anyone. The only reason I actually bought the truck is because these trucks are so hard to find in Michigan right now and this one had everything I wanted. To top things off, the check engine light came back on after driving it home when they had allegedly fixed everything. The only bright point was the sales consultant Greg. He was great to work with and actually cared about what I wanted out of the deal but it’s hard to accomplish anything when terrible management steps over you.

Every time I come to the dealership I feel like I get the VIP treatment. The customer service is always friendly and courteous. The service fast and efficient. I would highly recommend this dealership to all my friends and family members for new vehicles, for general service and unfortunately for collision as well. LOL. I bought a vehicle 2 years ago bought from red Holman subsequently I needed a oil change went to dealer fast lane Wayne mentioned my heat wasn't hot jack drummer did a free diagnostic did a pressure check told me my water pump was going bad call Todd Wendell so I call Todd Wendell Buick express I have a warranty on my car they tell me I have to pay 123$$ check fee why did I buy warranty so I call another gm dealer code to realize it's a power train warranty 60 months 100.000 miles why did good Wendell try and cheat me don't do business with them that's like buying a new TV with a warranty it stops working and they charge u a check out fee they suck took another gm dealer to tell me was a power train warranty that was covered thanks jack demmer and mark Chevrolet I'll never buy anything from wenzel Buick

The photo of the truck on cars.com depicted a dual rear wheeled truck and the truck was a single rear wheeled. I have noticed that happens quite frequently on cars.com's web site. To me it is just a way to get people to come into the dealer and I feel that is a huge waste of time.

Before bringing in my vehicle I took it to a Auto Zone because the engine light went on. Auto Zone did diagnostics on the vehicle and said that it had a bad ignition relay. Upon arriving at Todd Wenzel the customer service agent Jacob Jacobs said that they will still have to do their own diagnostics on the vehicle and that the charge would go towards the repair. He said the customer comes first and getting the job right is their main goal. He said doing the diagnostics might show another underlying problem and they want to make sure when the vehicle leaves the shop that the job is done right. I went into the waiting room to wait for the repairs to be made. After about an hour Jacob came in and said that they found other problems and made arrangements for me to get a loaner so I would not have to wait all day. When I returned to get my vehicle the exchange and the professionalism was outstanding. Jacob's job as a customer service repair agent is a reflection on the training he received from his department heads and Management. Thank You for putting us first!

Gregg was my service rep. I needed my wheel bearings replaced so I was given a GMC Terrain loaner car for the day. After driving away I wasn't comfortable being in the vehicle so I called Gregg back and told him how my next car I want to purchase is the Buick Lacrosse and how much I would love to trade in the terrain for the Lacrosse if there were any available. At the time he said there was nothing available but suggested that I return the Terrain the next morning and he would see if he could help me out. When I returned the loaner car and I was checking out with Gregg, to my wonderful surprise I was given a 2016 Buick Lacrosse. I was overjoyed that he took what may have appeared to be a small request and acted on it immediately. While leaving the shop he told me to enjoy myself and I was able to have the Lacrosse for the entire weekend!! Thank you Gregg!!

The advertising for a used $2500 car on their website was highly deceptive. The windshield was full of cracks, the tires were flat, it was not possible to test drive it. That info should be immediately available on the site.The only good news is that the salesman I spoke to was immediately direct and honest about the facts.

Todd in the Service Dept. gave me a promised time for the completion of my oil change, and it was done as promised. The refreshments in the Service Lounge were most welcome and appreciated. I had family visitors from out of state so it was a rather hectic day, but the pleasant service experience gave me a chance to recover from my morning visit to the dentist for a crown replacement.

I made an appointment with Shad one of the Manager. My appointment was Monday at 11:15am which was my day off. I did not leave until 7:30pm that evening without a car. I made it very clear with regards to my budget. He quoted me one price that I agreed to call made arrangements with my insurance company and then he ups it $110.00 at the very end and then he says he has to wait until his manager comes in the next and he'll let me know. One of the worst car buying experience I've ever had. Needle to say I declined that offer. This dealership is truly a joke. He never ever went outside to look at my trade in. It's as if everything we discussed had been dismissed.

Service was slow. I had an appointment for 9 a.m. and when I arrived, it appeared that there were no other customers there. I was only getting an oil change and tire rotation, so I didn't expect that it would take very long. I didn't get my vehicle back until after 3:00 p.m. and I had to call the dealership to check if it was ready! When I returned to pick-up the vehicle, it was still slow and it appeared that I was the only customer. Why did it take so long? It was a major inconvenience for me.

Just brought my vehicle (1 yr old) in for a scheduled Oil Change. Pulled it right into the Garage and was immediately Greeted by a Service person who said that "Greg would be taking care of me". The Sales Person (Brad Zimmerman) who sold me my Car happened to also be in the Garage at that moment. He Greeted and briefly Chatted with me as if we were Old Friends. Our conversation ended with the sentence "If you ever need anything or have a question or problem give me a call"... Then Greg appeared and was Very Friendly and informed me of the process (Tire Rotation/Oil Change) and how long it would take. He asked if I knew where their Customer Waiting Area was... I said "Yes" but said that I was going to take a short walk for a Burger. Greg informed/recommended a couple of local dinning spots... And I left... My Vehicle was just being pulled into the Garage Entrance/Exit location as I was returning from my Dinner. Greg told me that I was all set and to go see the Cashier. Which I did... She (The Cashier) said that their was "No Charge" and "We will see you in a few Months". Great way to end My Work Day...

Rick Dawkins changed my opinion of the whole process. He made the process enjoyable and I drove away with the car I wanted. He made the stress of having to buy a car go away. I just wanted to take a moment to write about how much I enjoyed my experience of buying a car with Greg Dawkins at your dealership Red Holman. Greg was an absolute pleasure to work with. I really enjoyed his pleasant, relaxed personality with no high pressure sales tactics. Through several days of communication Greg was always courteous and prompt with his responses and quickly got me any additional information I needed to help me reach my decision. We purchased a 2013 Buck Enclave and I am very pleased with this vehicle. It may be my favorite ever. It is a perfect blend of family vehicle yet luxurious at the same time, and is a joy to drive with it's many convenience and luxury features. The service department has also been friendly, helpful and prompt with several small items and questions that I had after purchase. Overall it has been a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Greg and your dealership. We have two children who will be needing vehicles in the not too distant future. We will definitely be returning to your dealership, and I am pretty confident this will not be our last Enclave. Don't bring your car to this dealership for service, they are way over estimate and go way over on there estimated repair time, I am stuck paying hundreds more because this shop and dealer has no service vehicle available to loan out because of their delays. They also said that is there policy to not go above and beyond for their customers. I think this is completely ridiculous and will next do business with this dealer again in my life.

Recently purchased a used medium duty truck - Chevy Kodiak - love it. Needed a replacement air pump assembly for the air ride seats. They had it in stock. Picked it up July 1, 2014. The pump assembly went bad. They ordered a new one to exchange the defective one. Time for oil change/lube - their medium duty truck service department scheduled me for the next morning at 9 (they offered to schedule me at 7 am). Got it done faster than expected.

I recently purchased my second vehicle from Greg Dawkins at Red Holman Buick. I am a mother of two boys and needless to say, having a safe, reliable vehicle is vitally important. I initially went to Red Holman back in 2012 when I desperately needed to trade in my old, worn down Explorer. My credit was not the greatest after coming out of a divorce, and it was somewhat embarrassing. However, Mr. Dawkins was anything but judgmental or critical, and in fact was so informative, helpful, kind, and not once "pushy", that after purchasing that first vehicle from him two years ago, I returned recently for another "upgrade". My credit improved, and Mr. Dawkins was instrumental in getting me into another safe, and wonderful 2011 SUV (with a few more bells and whistles) that I couldn't be happier about. It is a comforting feeling to know that there are honest, caring, and trustworthy salespeople that you can rely upon for your individual needs, and Greg Dawkins is indeed one of them!! I will continue to return to Mr. Dawkins at Red Holman for all of my future vehicles, and will certainly recommend him to all of my friends and family!! Thank you for another great experience!!!!

I went there first time for oil change and recall for my 2008 Buick Enclave, and said that I am business customer and it is my first time with the assumption they will care a bit more. But, did not get a good feeling they care to their customer. (1) I left my car from morning and they called mw in the evening that the car is not done and learned next day that they even did not started, (2) they carched for a diagnsis without asking me, except please quickly sign etc. Complained to the service manager and artificially I understand he was sorry, but did not offer any refund etx. Will not go again!

I usually don't participate in a number of surveys/reviews regarding my buying experiences, but I truly feel this time its necessary to give a compliment that is well deserved. My sales person was Judy Ruen and from our first conversation I knew that I had finally spoken with the right person to help me get a vehicle. She immediately went to work after hearing my situation and told me that she would call me back with an approval. Before she called me back I went on the sight to look at some of their used cars so that I would have my possibilities ready when she called me back, but the cars that I picked were not the best deals so of course I started to become discouraged just like I had been with the other dealerships I had contacted. Judy then told me about this Saturn Vue that had just come into the dealer, but I was not so familiar with this vehicle so my first thought was she's just trying to get rid of this vehicle. She asked if I would like to see the vehicle and I thought what could it hurt, but the problem was I do not have a vehicle so I needed to see how I could get to this dealership coming from Midtown Detroit, but much to my surprise she offered to have her husband John to come & get me and now I'm proudly driving my new Saturn Vue. Great EXPERIENCE.

After a recent accident I had to purchase another vehicle.After much searching on the internet and getting advice from friends...I decided to return to the place that gave me such a great deal and a reliable car 9 years ago. Once again Rick Dawkins at Red Holman dealership in Westland, MI, went over the top to help me choose a vehicle that was just right for me and my budget,He searched the entire US to find it and get it for me. Another very important point is that Rick Dawkins was able to get me a great finance rate for my less than perfect credit. I am a single woman and usually fear that I will not be treated fairly when it comes to anything auto related...Not true at Red Holman, I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Not fake kindness just to get a sale, they have continued to treat me well long after my purchase. I personally will never buy a vehicle from anyone else. I love my 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport.

Just so everyone knows that I went in for an oil change today 2/28/14, I know they were busy and it took 1 1/2hrs to complete which made me in a big hurry to get back to work.When I got in my truck there was grease all over the rail and carpet (where you enter the truck) from the techs boots.I don't know about the techs vehicle(s) but this is a $40,000 truck and I don't like grease on it that I have to now clean up!Other dealers will put paper on the floor and cover the seats, and when you get it back they will run it through the car wash, not this place!

I have been a customer of Red Holman for many,many years and with the same sales rep: Rick Dawkins,Jr. From the very beginning, with my first vehicle, I have had nothing but superior service and attention to detail from Mr. Rick Dawkins. He goes beyond the basic sell and often finds far superior vehicles fitting my desires. He doesn't forget you once the sale is final, he always follows up to see if there is anything else he can do for his customers. He has helped and also sold vehicles to most of my family members and quite a few friends. There were a few times where I could have purchased similar vehicles at a different dealership for less money, but the "after" service keeps me completely loyal to Rick Dawkins and the Red Holman Dealership. He doesn't forget you once the sale is made but rather keeps himself completely focused on us being happy with our purchases and is always available for any questions or help we may need. It's almost time for my next vehicle and I will again drive the 60 miles down to Rick and Red Holman Dealership!

This is the second time I went to see Rick Dawkins. I was so happy with my first truck purchase that I didn't even think of going to another dealership when I needed another vehicle. I called Rick and let him know what I was interested in. He researched it and gave me a few options he thought I would like and sure enough the very first car ended up being the one I purchased. Rick is an honest and knowledgeable salesperson and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are totally satisfied. The next time I need a vehicle I will call Rick first and if anyone I know needs one I will refer them to Rick knowing they will be will taken care of. Rick is a true professional.

I have had great experiences w/Red Holman both with buying and servicing my car. Rick Dawkins my salesman went way out of his way to find the car I was looking for and making sure that the process went smoothly. He also helped me when I needed it serviced and went out of his way to make sure that things went well and kept me informed. Everyone I encountered at Red Holmans was super nice and great to work with. They also gave me top dollar for my trade in. I have and would recommend people to go to Red Holman if they are looking for a car.

Rick Dawkins salesman at red holman went far and beyond what a normal salesperson usually does. i am pleased with the service i received from him. he found the exact vehicle i wanted and made sure financing wasn't a problem. made my experience at red holman wonderful. he even followed up with a phone call making sure i was satified with the vehicle. i recommend RIck Dawkins at Red Holman to all my friends and family. in the future all vehicles that i purchase will be at Red Holman by Rick Dawkins.. thank you for such a pleasant buying experience..

Bought a 2011 Malibu from Robb Roberts. We've been to many dealerships and look at many cars, none treated us as We'll as Robb Roberts. This guy knows a lot about all of the cars on the market and knew the Malibu would be a perfect fit for our price range and needs. Bottom line if you go to Red Holman you need to ask for Robb Roberts, we couldn't be more impressed. What a great deal! Thanks, Tammy

As with another persons review, I too live about 3 miles from the dealership, but I went 20 miles away to purchase a vehicle because of the sales people. I went to Bob Jenette GMC. The sales team we incompetent to say the least. I have had my GMC Terrain into the Red Holman 4 times in two months for a transmission problem (only a year and a half old), and in each of the four times of attempting to fix the hard shifting, they have failed each time. The truck needs to go back for a 5th time now within 2 months and getting the run around from service.

Due to an accident earlier this month I needed to replace my car on short notice. With only a few days to remaining on year-end deals a sense of urgency was important. Chevy/Ford/Dodge and GMC were in the consideration pool. Given that I purchase and hold for years rather than lease, so I was somewhat inflexible with options that had to be included in the package. Add to all this that I am detail oriented with factory specs and performance and ask detailed questions of the sales staff, you can see who ever sold the car was going to earn their sale.I visited all the above mentioned dealerships and test drove each vehicle. Ultimately Randy Cecil of Red Holman sold me a GMC Sierra. There were several actions on Randys part that made me confident this was the right decision. Product knowledge - First Randy was completely familiar with the details of the cars he sold, this involved understanding specs like tow ratings, option packages, and trade offs in one package over another. Randy was patient in answering questions, even those asked a second time and questions that seemed trivial. Randy went above and beyond finding the right vehicle. Though there were a few 2011 models on Red Holmans lot, none fit exactly what I was seeking. Rather than try to sell me one of these Randy completed an exhaustive search for exactly what I was looking for. This required contacting multiple dealerships asking for their help, finally finding one over 2hrs away. When it came to financing Randy applied the same care, taking the initiative to provide analysis on the most cost effective choice between a 6yr 0 interest loan or taking the factory rebate and finding an outside loan.When comparing Randys professional behavior to the other 3 dealers/sales people we encountered in our search, the difference was night and day. Randy was clearly set on getting us the truck we wanted rather just selling a truck. He knew more about competitive vehicles than a few other sales professionals selling their own vehicles. Randy seemed to get the fact this was a difficult decision and was patient throughout the process. One of the first questions I asked each sales professional was how long they had been selling their respective brands and working for that dealership. Randys answer shocked me over 30yrs. It is easy to see why he has lasted so long

I just bought a used GMC truck from Red Holman Buick GMC. I've been looking for a truck for about a month. I went to several dealers and each time I ran into problems with the trucks or the sales people. When I went to Red Holman My sales person Robb Roberts was professional knew a lot about the Sierra, answered all my questions and didn't give me high pressure to buy. I would defiantly recommend Red Holman and Robb Roberts.

Over the past 10 years my family has leased five Pontiac or GMC vehicles, but not one of these was from Red Holman even though they are less than two miles from our home. My wife and I have gladly driven 30 to 50 minutes out of our way to Rinke and Bob Jeanotte in order to avoid the generally uncooperative and disinterested sales staff at Red Holman. Worse yet, the sales staff is actually better than the service department. On a few emergency occasions we have had to bring our vehicles to Red Holman because they are so close. On each occasion we have eventually had to resolve the problem with another service crew, either for repeated failed attempts to repair a specific problem or because they were significantly more expensive than a second opinion. Warranty issues are the worst as they have even gone so far as to call other dealers and accuse us of giving misleading warranty claims information. Having been a mechanic for 13 years, I know what good service is and it is not what one receives at Red Holman.

Bar-none, Red Holman has the best sales department that I've ever experienced in any Pontiac dealership. I walked into the showroom in January of 1998 because I was interested in the brand new Ram Air Trans Am. I was a young guy just finishing high school, and I had been turned away by other dealers who all assumed I was an irresponsible kid based on my age. But at Red Holman I met Damon Sewell, who is in my estimation the world's greatest car salesperson. And since then, my family has purchased over half a dozen Pontiacs from Mr. Sewell at Red Holman Pontiac.<br><br>The entire sales staff at Red Holman is very friendly and personable, always get back to you quickly, are willing to answer any questions you may have, and -- perhaps best of all -- they know their stuff. You won't be told any wacky lies or half-truths here, unlike at some other dealers where they'll say anything to get you to buy. My dad and I both factory ordered new Trans Ams in 1998, and we were constantly kept informed of where our orders were in the build queue, when they'd be showing up, even letting us know about stuff like worker strikes that were affecting production. I never felt like I had to press the folks at Holman to do their jobs, or to extract information from them. They always gave me everything I needed to know, mostly without my even asking.<br><br>If you're looking for a Pontiac (or a Toyota or GMC, for that matter, since this dealership sells them as well), I'd highly recommend Red Holman be the first place you stop. Ask for Damon Sewell; he's a great guy.
