My husband and I drove down from Lafayette to use the special leasing program for Subaru associates through Tom Wood despite being closer to a dealer here. I was pleased with the way we were treated and the customer service we received. They have made a lifetime customer of my husband and I.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience with Glen Heppner purchasing our new 2017 Legacy Limited. All of our questions were answered as well as a walking us through the technology of our new vehicle and getting us set-up online. Even though we finished well after store hours, we were never made to feel rushed or pressured. Thank you for your customer-friendly service! Also kudos to Max who we made late for dinner with his wife. Again - very professional and helpful. Thank you Max and Glen!

Great Service from Derek Thompson. Found solutions to every problem all while being mindful of my pocket book. Over the top...you do not find that often at service centers. A case of beer has his name on it next time I go in.

Came here to purchase my first new vehicle. Was kindly greeted by Nick and I told him what I was looking for and he began to help me choose what was best for me and my budget. We did a test drive and he thoroughly explained all of the features of the car and what the difference between models were. After selecting a car, Nick went through all of the warranty information throughly and made sure that all of my questions were answered, which was great. Nick spent lots of time with me and I felt like I was his only point of attention during the entire time we were purchasing my vehicle. Very happy with my experience and the salesmanship provided here. Looking forward to coming back here for my next vehicle!

have a new 2016 Outback Limited that that was involved in a accident, it was repaired by body shop where I live. They took it to Tom Woods service to check a air bag light coming on. The service department said that their was a part was bad and they ordered it would take 2days then they would fix it. They had it for a wk. before 4th of July holiday then said it would not be done till Wed. after the holiday. They said that part was their on Thur. before holiday and could pick it up on Friday. After several attempts to contact them they said that the mgr. was gone for the weekend and they didn't have the part and that it would be Wed. This is the biggest run around I have ever had. Bad planning , Bad management !!!!! Buyer Beware

our experience was fabulous. Very professional, understanding and caring about our families needs. We made several trips down to this dealership and each time Greg Begley was very prepared and gave us all the information we were looking for. Everyone from the detail guys, to the finance guys were very courteous. The dealership itself is very modern, refreshing, and comfortable. I would highly recommend them!

Recently, I called the finance manager's office to determine the process of purchasing the car that we were leasing. When the finance manager did not pick the phone up or return my calls, I talked to a sales representative and made an appointment to see him. For the appointment, I showed up promptly also with my wife since I did not know if a co-signee was required to purchase the car. The finance manager that never bothered to return my call, also did not want to see us, and the secretary who went to notify our arrival for the appointment was turned away saying that he was busy, although he had no customer in his office. When I insisted that I see him and that I had a lot of time and effort spent in meeting him, he saw me and said that I did not need to see him, which was true. This whole agony could have been avoided if only the finance manager could have been a bit considerate and customer oriented to respond to my repeated phone call/message.

There must not be enough research on the new Subaru hybrids. Tom Wood gave me the biggest headache with my brand new 2015 XV Crosstrek Hybrid Touring - 5 months old. Senior Rep of Subaru and Tom Wood tried to tell me I wrecked my car, and didn't believe me when I said it did not happen under my care. Tom Wood and Subaru tried to have me pay for repairs. Finally, after threatening them enough times with my lawyer, they said they'd pay for it under "good-will" as long as I signed a paper stating it was not under warranty. Although I felt I was not receiving a good deal, since they sold me a wrecked car at brand new car price, I signed it just to get my car back after almost 3 weeks. After getting it back, it broke down 6 days later. The oil light came on. Tom Wood said someone put water in my oil. I asked if maybe it was coolant, Tom Wood said it was definitely water. Then they told me there was no oil pressure going to the engine, but water could not have gotten in as a result. I finally said enough and had it shipped to another Subaru dealership. Beard Subaru immediately told me that it was coolant and that they will be replacing the engine. Beard apologized for how long I'll have to wait. Finally, competent mechanics are working on my car! They didn't try to place blame on me - telling me that SOMEONE did this. Tom Wood service manager, Ben Woodfill, literally said, "I think someone has it out for you." Tom Wood truly believed someone went under my hood and dumped water in my oil. When this was obviously a mechanical error (I have talked to two outside technicians and Beard Subaru - they all agree this was a mechanical failure.) Tom Wood only has one certified hybrid mechanic, and he must not know what he's doing. I will never go back and I will NEVER refer anyone to Tom Wood.

This is what car buying should be! I bought a gently used vehicle for less than I'd thought I'd have to spend and they paid more for my trade at more than I thought they would. I drove over 90 miles to check out the vehicle and it was exactly as described and ready and waiting for me when I got there. I would definitely make the trip and purchase again!

I was ecstatic after buying a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse from Tom Wood. Everyone was friendly, and I left feeling like a member of a family. 3 months later, I called to speak to someone about an unforseen problem: rust had made it to where the hood latch could not function, and many bolts were stripped or broken due to rust, as well. While speaking to a man I was told was an expert on the warranty side of things, I was promptly told that there was nothing they could do because they believed I was in the wrong, saying I probably ran my car through 16 car washes and created the rust myself. The man yelled and kept repeating this to me. I will not do service with Tom Wood again.

While the finance department was running numbers on two cars I test drove (an Impreza Hatch and an Outback), I was informed that the Outback was now sold. The Outback was literally cleaned and prepped for me to test drive it. I went to lunch while they (Tom Wood Subaru) were doing this to give them more time. No one at any time (and I interacted with three great salesmen over the course of two days there) told me there was anyone else looking at the car. There was no sense of urgency. There was no warning. Nothing. While I understand this can happen, what made me mad was the managers approach to the situation. He said, I can see why you would be frustrated. In my 20 years of sales, Ive seen this happen before. If you see something happen that's bad for customers, why not fix it? Why with their new gorgeous building, paperless push, and Microsoft Surface Tablets can they not have an inventory system that keeps track of who might have already put down a deposit on a car? I could do this with a white board. The worst part of the entire experience was the manager I spoke with on the phone. Instead of trying to fix the problem (i.e. that they were trying to sell me a car that was already sold), he said it wasnt a problem. Tom Wood Subaru wasted 4 hours of my time today to sell a car to someone else. I still want a Subaru. But since Tom Wood has a north side monopoly, I now have to start my car search from scratch.

On our list of possible cars was Subaru. Ive never owned a Subaru before, but my sister has one and likes it. The closest Subaru dealership to us is Tom Wood Subaru. We were considering the Forester. It had the features we wanted at a price we could afford. I was on their web site one day and a window popped up saying that Dave Kordes, a sales associate, was available to answer my questions. I responded to the pop-up and asked a couple of questions to see if it was even worth my time to make the drive to Tom Wood Subaru. After Dave answered my questions, I set up an appointment to see him that afternoon. We talked about the Forester. I told him what features we were looking for and how much I had to spend. I drove one of the Foresters. I liked it enough on that test drive that I knew I had found my car. I called my wife and told her that she needed to drive this car. We went over and drove the car and talked more specifically about features and costs. Dave was busy that evening with another customer so Bill Vickery took care of us. After driving the Forester, my wife was torn. We went back and drove another car she had liked again and then finally back to Subaru to drive the Forester again. By the end of the second test drive, she had decided to go with the Forester as well. Its not that the Forester is something super special or so much better than her other choice, but there was just something intangible about it that made me really want to make this my car. Im not sure my wife felt the exact same way, but she liked it more than her other choice. After the second drive we both decided to buy Foresters. We spent some time looking at their inventory both on the lot as well as what was in the pipeline and we selected cars that we would have to wait a few weeks to get, but that had the features we wanted and in the colors we liked. The cars came in a few days ahead of schedule and we arranged to go and pick them up. The delivery process took about three hours. This is longer than I am used to, but we were buying two cars so there was almost twice as much work to do. Dave did the initial paperwork and had a couple other people price out our trades. He sent the paperwork on to the person who would finish out the deal and then proceeded to take us through all of the features of our cars. Since the cars were basically the same, he was able to save a little time by just explaining things once. After he was done, he passed us on to Dave Runfola who did the massive amount of paperwork involved in buying a car. The part that took the longest was going though the various extra warranty options. There were 4-5 different ones to choose from covering everything from a comprehensive bumper-to-bumper extension to key replacement to road hazard, etc. We talked about each one and then choose the ones we wanted. Finally, we signed the last bit of paper and gave him a couple of checks and we were on the road. The whole process from my initial contact with Dave Kordes to the final handshake before we drove off the lot was almost flawless. I have only one very minor complaint. On my car, the protection package that it came with didnt have back seat protectors for the hatch area. At the time of making the deal, Dave told me that was something that they could do in the store and gave me a price and I OKd them to do that. The cars came in on a Friday morning and we picked them up that next Monday. When we got there, that little change had fallen through the cracks and I had to make an extra trip to the dealership in order to get that put on. Not a major thing at all, but it should have been on the paperwork and there was obviously enough time to get it done. On the plus side we did get a couple of minor perks in some of the warranty purchases we made; probably because we were buying two cars at the same time. I went and had the seat back protectors put on. While this is not a major service experience, it all went well and everyone was courteous. All in all my first experience at Tom Wood Subaru was very positive. I can recommend Dave Kordes and Bill Vickery as very attentive and enthusiastic Subaru salesmen. Time will tell if the cars were a good choice and how well the Tom Wood Subaru service department stacks up.

Great vehicle. We love our new Subaru Outback. Be very cautious of Tom Wood Subaru especially the Finance people telling you anything to sell you more than the car. They will milk ever penny they can out of you. I was sold a service agreement and a maintenance agreement so I would NOT have to pay anything for service for the life of the agreements. I was told these agreements cover "Everything". When I took our vehicle in for service I was charged for a filter that had to be replaced. I showed the service manager the paperwork that said the filter was covered in the service agreement and I was still told I had to pay for the filter. I wrote a letter, not an email, but a letter to both the finance person that sold me the service agreement and to the general manager and I have never heard a word from anyone. So I would highly recommend our Subaru Outback but I would definitely buy from another dealer that is more upstanding and stands behind what they say to the customers. Buyer truly beware especially with this dealer!,

I was eligible for a discount on a new car at a different dealer but have visited Tom Wood Subaru for my service. I wrote them a sincere thank you note today and was asked if I would mind taking time for this survey. Gladly, I am doing that and it is due to their courtesy and professional manner toward me and my new car. Stoker Walsmith was my service writer and this is another thank you to him.

After buying my brz from Tom Wood brand new, I planned on doing any and all service appointments through this dealership. My window had a problem of squeaking while being rolled down or up, mainly while it was wet. The first couple visits included lubricating the tracks, and cleaning the window to make sure no debris was stuck. The next visit the "issue could not be replicated by technicians" and I was sent home. Upon bringing it in another time, parts in the window were replaced, and they claimed the squeaking ceased. They ran my car through a wash, and as I got in to test it, the squeak remained. I was told at that point that the squeaking was due to an "environmental issue" (being that it was wet) and that it was not covered under warranty to fix. In the following few days when the window had dried I tested it, and the problem again remained. I schedule yet another appointment. After replacing all window components, I received a call and was told that the issue should not persist, yet in their own testing the issue was still happening. They claimed that the next step would to to replace the window / door panel and that that solution was "not practical" for an issue as small as a window squeak. At this point, I took my car to Dreyer and Reinbold who kept my car for a week and solved the problem in both wet and dry environments. From one visit alone at D&R I had my squeak eliminated, which showed me that the technicians at Tom Wood were inadequate in solving a small issue in the multiple visits I made. Also, upon arriving for all appointments, I had to wait outside the service area doors because there were so many cars parked in service. This was very inconvenient. I will never return to this location nor will I recommend anyone get their vehicle serviced there.

I had been researching and searching the internet for a used Subaru Forester. I found one at Tom Wood that I was very interested in, I called them in the afternoon and came to a deal with them, but obviously wanted to see it in person and test drive it. I live 2 hours away so I was unable to go that day. I made arrangements to get off work early and drive there the next afternoon, only to receive a call 15 minutes before I was leaving saying the car had been sold. Of course the salesperson tried to sell me every other car on the lot, why would I drive 2 hours for a car I can buy anywhere with the possibility that they would sell that one while I was on my way. Salesperson even mentioned another Forester they had, but that someone was coming to look at it, so I guess I could have hurried there and screwed another one of the customers. This is no way to treat customers that are spending thousands of dollars and rearranging their schedules. I guess the only good out of this whole experience was that at least they called before I wasted my time and gas driving there . Buyer beware.

Bought a new Legacy, was told that the 0.9% financing thru Subaru was declined, which I thought seemed funny since I had excellent credit. When I asked why? they couldn't give me an answer. I was redirected to a bank for 2% financing. The more I thought about it after the deal, I figured I'd check my credit report to see if the credit check from Subaru went through, of course it wasn't there, since they never checked! They send you through another bank at a higher rate to get the kick-back. I now understand that this is a common practice with dealerships. I will not purchase another vehicle from them and plan to contact Subaru also.

I have a new Subaru WRX. Rear brake light LEDs had burned out and I wanted the brake light assy replaced. Its a warranty repair. I called Tom Wood service and after a while Im talking to the parts dept. The parts guy informs me that I will have to arrange a service appt, and then have service contact the parts dept to order the replacement part. Sounds easy right? So I set up an apt, and ask the service dept to contact parts to order a new brake light. "no problem' Im told, "well handle this and see you on your service date." I show up at the appt and after 20 minute wait Im told they don't have the part. They wont ship the part to me because its a warranty repair, so I have no choice but to come in again. I call back later that same day and re-schedule a 2nd appt. This time I ask the person who scheduled the apt to actually go talk to the service manager, so that the part can be ordered. "no problem" Im told, " well handle this and see you on your service date" I show up two weeks later and after an hours wait Im told they don't have the part.I GIVE UP! Ill just drive the car with the defective part, and hope the remaining LEDs don't burn out. I have bent over backwards trying to assist Tom Wood service in the most simple task, and they are so utterly incompetent, they are incapable of basic functions. If you are considering buying or servicing a Subaru in the Indianapolis area, I have two pieces of advice for you: Dreyer and Reinbold or Falcone.

I have a new Subaru WRX. Rear Brake light LEDs burned out, and I wanted the part replaced. Its a warranty repair. I call Tom Wood Subaru service, and after a while Im talking to a person in the parts department, who helps me identify the needed part, and informs me that Ill need to make a service apt, then have service contact him to order the replacement part. I set up my appointment, and then just to make sure its understood, I follow up with service and talk to a service rep to make sure they understand what part I need, and that the service dept needs to contact parts dept to make sure the part gets ordered. "no problem" Im told "well handle this and see you on the service date". I bring in the car to get the part replaced, and after a 20 min wait Im told the part was not ordered. That's pretty frustrating considering the lengths I went to to make sure these people did their jobs. They never even called me to say the part was not there! So I call back later that day to reschedule a 2nd appt. I make sure that the person I talked to speaks to the service manager, just to be sure that the part is ordered. I come back two weeks later, and this time after an hours wait, Im told they don't have the part! Again, no phone call, just "oops we screwed up again".I GIVE UP! Im keeping the defective part on the car, and hoping all the LEDs don't burn out. I have bent over backwards to try to help these people perform their own jobs, but Tom Wood Subaru is by far the most incompetent group of do-nothings Ive ever had to deal with. If you want to buy a Subaru, or have your Subaru fixed, I have two suggestions for you: Dryer and Reinbold or Falcone Subaru. Anyone will be better than the Tom Wood group.

I found the subaru I wanted on the web, checked on it for a week, then went to Indy to test drive. My brother in law has bought many cars for personal use, so he came with me to be sure I got a fair deal, unfortunately sometimes a solo female will be hustled by over zealous salespeople. All in all it was a great experience, Keith has a real passion for subaru- his enthusiasm was honest and his style was relaxed and friendly. He understood our needs and Wallis and I both felt we got a good deal. John Hiatt the finance guy was a character, he got all that paperwork done quickly and explained everything to our satisfaction. We left happy, and I am loving this vehicle! Can't wait to throw the canoe on top and get out to the lakes around Bloomington! Ozma Bond

The guys at Tom Wood Subaru are GREAT! I was searching cars.com for a used Mitsubishi Montero and came across one at this dealership. These guys were so nice, I actually flew out from NY to make the purchase and drove it home. This was back in September of 2013. The truck has been great and they were too in making my purchase a pleasurable experience. All around good guys. They picked me up at the airport and talked me through the whole process and answered every question I had. My sales person was Josh and financial person was Kevin. Thanks so much! They also told me how their offices were in the process of switching to be totally GREEN just like the US Subaru plant! Awesome! Keep up the good work!

I bring my car to Tom Wood Subaru for the fast, friendly, quality service. Todd Vonblon is fantastic and very personable. I am never treated as a number when I deal with him. Jackie was super friendly- I was having a bad day until she brought a little ray of sunshine to me today as she picked up my car and dropped off my "loaner" car. kudos to Tom Wood and their service staff!!!

We had contacted the dealership about our interest in a specific used car. When we arrived, the salesman was waiting for us right out front with our chosen car ready to go for a test drive. The whole buying process was quick and easy, the sales staff was friendly, and we found the car we wanted 2K cheaper than anywhere else we had looked. Very happy!

I went for my first service at this dealer for my 2006 Subaru Baja. The service department provided me with a brand new Subaru as a "loaner" while my car was in for service - which is an extraordinary service given that I purchased the car used. When there was some confusion with my scheduled service time they let me keep the "loaner" an extra day to preform my routine service. My car was returned to me clean and ready to go - the dealer made every effort to accommodate me and make me comfortable. I purchased this car used from this dealer and initially was disappointed that I paid too much for the vehicle given it's age and condition, but I feel I am getting excellent support and service and I am no longer discontented by paying a premium for the car.

This is the first time I've had my Subaru Outback serviced here, but it will not be the last. Not only did they work me into their schedule to get my vehicle serviced as a walk-in customer, they had it done in less time than they estimated. I had been in previously for a couple of minor issues, which the service staff checked out, gave me some advice and sent me on my way... without charging me any kind of fee. Everyone there was friendly, helpful and courteous. NOT your typical dealership service center! I've never felt comfortable getting a car serviced at a dealership, but that is certainly not the case here. I know where I will go first when I'm ready to buy my next Subaru.

I just bought a new car from Tom Wood Subaru. It was a great experience, our salesperson, Keith was excellent! The only reason I didn't rate the "buying process" excellent was the hour or so wait to meet with the sales manager to sign all of the paperwork (however it was the end of the month, which is probably their busiest time). All in all it was a great experience and would purchase from Tom Wood Subaru again.

I recently took my Subaru Forester to Tom Wood Subaru for service. I called for an appt. and spoke with Brandon. I explained to him that I had a very small window of time in my schedule to get the repair done and needed another vehicle to drive during the time they had my car. When I dropped off my car, a loaner was ready for me and the repair took exactly the time Brandon promised it would take and for the price I was quoted. It was definately a NO hassle experience thanks to Brandon and Josh in the Svc Dept. I will definately use them again and would recommend them to anyone!!!

We took our Subaru for it's 30,000 mile check and were offered a loaner, which is so rare and so nice. The service performed came below estimate and the job was done on time and well. Normally, I do not like to take my cars to the dealership after I've had them for a while, but I have never hesitated bringing my Subaru to Tom Wood for repair. I like the people, the atmosphere, the service and I love my Subaru so nothing but the best for it is what I get there.

I have had an issue with my 2012 Subaru Forester windshield wipers since I purchased it. The driver's side wore out in a matter of month's. It left streaks in the line of sight. I tried a different set of wipers (after market) and they did the same thing. I took the vehicle to Tom Wood Subaru and they just replaced the wiper blades and said it was fixed. I unfortunately did not keep the old Subaru blades which were under warranty. They had to charge me for new blades. It cost $93 dollars for wiper blades! That is highway robbery! I wonder what the mark is and how much the dealership made off of this deal. I know that on average dealerships mark up parts 25% but this is ridiculous. I was told that the new wipers are under warranty till my 36,000 mile warranty is up. We'll see. I have a feeling that I will be getting a new set of refill's in a couple of months when the driver's side starts streaking again. I checked out some Subaru blogs and most rate Subaru OEM wiper blade's poorly. Part of this is my fault for getting rid of the OEM wipers. I don't think the service technician really did much. He used my windshield wiper fluid to test the old wipers and then sold me a new OVER PRICED pair of new OEM windshield wiper blades to resolve the issue maybe temporarily. It should be interesting if I have to go back to Tom Wood Subaru in a couple of months with the same problem. It should be interesting to see how they will handle the situation then.

My husband and I just bought a 2014 Forester Saturday after doing plenty of research about makes and models online. We love the car and were treated very well by our salesman, David Kordes. He was absolutely professional and did not try to put any pressure on us even when we told him we wanted to compare the test-drive to a Honda CRV down the street before making up our minds. He let the brand speak for itself and gave us the respect to make our own decision. He also gave us a tour of the entire facility and the plans for their upcoming new "green" building and that was nice because we intend to use them for all service on the Forester.

Because the maintenance would take longer than I anticipated, they gave me a loaner car even though I had planned to stay until all work was done. They called with updates and applied coupons that I had asked about. Our 2010 Forester now drives like a new car.

We recently purchased a 1998 Subaru and brought it in to Tom Wood Subaru for a full diagnostic check and repairs. Todd was extremely helpful in his recommendations and took the time to explain everything to me, as I'm not very mechanically savvy. We were provided with a complementary loaner car while our '98 was being serviced, and received updates via phone regarding the status of our vehicle. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Tom Wood Subaru and appreciate such wonderful service!

Still waiting for a reply from the selling agent regarding some missing papers, but otherwise the experience was good.

Thank you so much Eric Boone for helping me find the car that was just right for me. I greatly appriciate it. I will tell friends and family about this and if anyones looking for a car I'll be sure to send them to you. thank you

My 2011 STI is the third car my family has bought from Tom Wood Subaru. Each time has been a great experience. Dave Kraft has been Salesman of the year numerous times for a reason. I had a few things installed on the car and an alignment done right away and the service and parts dept. people are easy to work with too.Subaru makes great cars and Tom Wood is a great place to buy them. I highly recommend you see Dave Kraft if you are looking for a new Subaru. The dealership supports the community, the work with many local non-profits such as the Humane Society and Susan J. Komen Foundation. They support the local Subaru owners club too, Tom Wood Subaru hosts meetings twice a year for the motorsports enthusiasts.

We bought a 2005 Jeep from them in December 2010 , this Jeep had a bad shaking and it shut down twice with us , and it start to shake and the enging light came on , we took it to two dealers that did not fix it , it was random cylinder misfire, we call them and turned the car in since January to April, they did not fix the jeep, Me and my husband were paying each months a payment on jeep but we never have it, then the dealer claim they did not know what how to fix it and we swap the car with ford taurus , that had gas cap light is on and the driver seat hear is not working and it shake a little bit, the sales (andy) promise to fix all this, after few days the car did not start in the morning and we took it back for the service, I ask them nicely to the manager since we really have a very bad experiences with them since the jeep sat for monthes in their service , I ask them to be qick in the service and not to be so long please not a week, we do not have another car, My husband call them everyday they either did not answer him or they read from the same script they did not know when they get the job done, same answer every time and everyday ,we are very frustrated and we went to get the car even if we get it towed, we discover that they damage the back pumber, and they did not told us or give us a work paper or get the job done, my husband does no get his money easy , he is police office and every time he leave for work , I do not know if he will come back. hope this help you to be aware please we have a big nightmare.

I just wanted to say again how awed Ive been with the service, attention to detail, and almost overwhelming desire to please the customer (me!) at Tom Wood Subaru. I LOVE my new Subaru, and the dealership; its actually fun to go there and be greeted by Keith and a big hug. Dave Kraft and Keith Graul were so helpful and kind on Sat. to check and fill my tires after the tire pressure light came on. Ive never been to a more service-oriented business of any kind; Im looking forward to many years with my new Outback and my new dealership!

I bought my new car from Dave Kraft. The sale started with him immediately changing the agreed upon price for the car. He made promises that were not kept once I took delivery of the car regarding some minor repairs that were needed. As a result of those items, among others, I turned in a somewhat negative survey. A couple of days later I received a voicemail, and a couple of online messages/emails from him asking me to call him immediately. I responded to him with an email explaining the situation thus far with how they had dealt with the problems and fulfilling his promises promises and why I was not satisfied. He responded asking me to request my survey back from Subaru because it hurt his bonus that quarter. Like the service department, the sales department is friendly, but provides VERY poor service.
