..but PLEASE don't tell my Wrangler!!! That's right, as of yesterday, I am the proud owner of TWO jeeps, both purchased from Tunkhannock Auto Mart with the help of Eddie Schwartztrauber. This more recent experience really spoke to his "when you're ready, call Eddie" catch phrase. I saw this Jeep on TAM's website Sunday and just KNEW it was one I'd been patiently looking for for months. A Monday morning test drive confirmed that and I drove it home later that day. I was READY, called Eddie and he got it done!That said, rewind 12 years to my Wrangler purchase and I most certainly was NOT ready...I wandered onto the lot out of disgust for the rental I was stuck in after a car accident. I was bound up in insurance company red tape and about to run out of my rental allowance. I was both naive and unnerved for fear that I'd soon have no way to get to work and naturally took it out on the car salesman lol. After a quick greeting, I confidently rattled off what I thought was a completely unreasonable list of required specs...Eddie pointed across the lot with a grin to my "dream" TJ and she's still parked in my driveway today! It was NOT easy (or at all fun) trading a wrecked vehicle and he went above and beyond making it as smooth for me as possible. Point is, ready or not ready, call Eddie. He is a true professional, both knowledgeable and available to help irrespective of where you are in the buying process.

I can describe Eddie Schwarztrauber in three words: Genuine Nice Guy. When you deal with Eddie, you don't feel like you are with a car salesman. You feel like you're hanging out with a friendly neighbor, simply discussing cars.There was no pressure to buy, no push in any particular direction, nothing "pitchy." He was honest and friendly with us from beginning to end. We could tell that this wasn't just about selling cars. For Eddie, bringing joy to his customers is why he does this.I work very hard, and I wanted very much to have a nice, big truck - something that makes all that work feel worth while. We looked at trucks and went for a test drive on the one I ended up buying. When we went back to the dealership, I was very much in love with that truck. The first thing that I told Eddie when I met him at the dealership was that I heard good things about him. I did not want to go through the typical dealer runaround (back and forth to the sales manager, can't do any better than list price, bla, bla, bla). In the last 40 years I have purchased many cars for myself and family this by far was the most pleasant one of all. I took a ride to Tunkhannock Auto Mart on my day off and met with Travis Haldeman . I told him about my trade and the budget I needed to stay within for my daughters purchase of a new Jeep Patriot . He took me through their large inventory and they had the exact model she wanted. Now I thought would be the hard part however Travis gave me fair trade value and before I new it the transaction was wrapped up. That evening my daughter drove back home in her new Jeep . No question I will be buying new cars in the future but I know where I'll be going . Travis provided the answers I needed quickly and set up the financing we needed . This will be my third vehicle from Eddie Schwartzrauber at Tunkhannock Auto Mart. Eddie does not push you towards something you do not want, nor can afford. A couple months back, I found a jeep, but the numbers just didnt work. Eddie promised me he would keep looking for me, and he did! He called me up on a Monday night to tell me about a trade in he thought I would like. Thursday morning I told him to start the paperwork, we took it for a quick test drive, and an hour later I was leaving in my "new to me Jeep!". I am in love with it, and so thankful to have such a great experiance, with a great sales rep!

I have followed Eddie for some time through Facebook and I see the he is successful, a happy go lucky kind of guy and knew that I would some day be dealing with him on a new vehicle. My husband and I had no intentions of shopping for a vehicle on the day we got our beautiful 2016 Ram Long Horn Truck! I went in to see Eddie about trying to locate a particular new car. I ended up factory ordering what I wanted after a search of other dealers inventory. I am so glad I did! It came in a lot sooner then I expected and was exactly what I wanted. Eddie was then able to work with me to find financing that was better than what I had pre-approved from my own financial institution! Overall the experience was amazing. We have now purchased 7 vehicles from the Tunkhannock Auto Mart. 6 were from Eddie Schwarztrauber. We love the service there. They are always pleasant and so helpful. If they don't have exactly what you are looking for on their lot, they will work to find it for you! They also offer many bonuses such as the diamond elite pompey packages with coupons for oil changes and many other services. Their vehicles are reasonably priced and they are so easy to deal with. I used the web site to make my decision to travel there the website could use better detail on pictures but I choose the dealer because of the type I wanted to buy and recommendations . My salesmen was curtious knowledgeable and easy to work with. I has an issue with my jeep the day before going on vacation. I called the service department and Jackie told me I can bring it right up to see if it would be a quick fix. Once I got up there, they were very good to me. They got my Jeep in the garage in a timely manor. I am currently still in the waiting room waiting for the report, however their ability to try and help me out is above and beyond what I expected. Great Place!

Tunkhannockautomart is by far the best dealership in pa, no pushy salesmen that stick you in something you dont wast, went to 2 different dealerships and all were either pushy or snobby , tunkhannockautomart was not like that , our salesman (Travis Haldeman)was very down to earth &family oriented, He made sure we liked our ride before he ran our credit, every other dealer ran our credit first, by the time we got to tunkhannockautomart our credit had been hit 8 different times by 2 different local jeep dealerships in the scranton area, it was worth the 30 minute drive to go to tunkhannock to get the vehicle, i just wish i went there first

Tunkhannock Auto Mart is a phenomenal dealership. I was a difficult client. I wanted a specific Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was not willing to compromise. I recently bought a 2013 dodge dart from this dealership. Had 30,000 when I purchased it. In less than 3000 miles I have had the following issues. Loose center console, Bad instrument cluster, broken sun visor, a miss or bucking under moderate acceleration and a clutch/ transmission noise. They could not find an issue causing my miss fire so I was told it is normal vehicle operation. I have never owned a car that would "buck" under normal operating conditions so knowing that at this point I would be beating a dead horse I said fine I will find it myself. Lastly the clutch. I took the service manager for a ride and duplicated the noise I was hearing. After one week I am told that it would be almost $600 in just labor for them to take the clutch out and look to see if something is worn. It would also be a few hundred more for parts if there is a problem. None of which is covered under factory Chrysler or my purchased extended warranty. So basically I spent 15k on a car that I got 2000 miles out of before it needs $1K in serious repairs. I feel I have been taken advantage of by both Tunkhannock auto mart and Chrysler.

I had 2 recalls on my 2002 Jeep liberty and as I needed it for work the next day I explained that to Bill (an employee ) and he told me if I dropped it off the night before it would be done the next morning at11:30 as the recall was only 3-4 hours. I called at 1:00 pm and much to my di9smay the manager said it wasn't even in the shop yet and they would try and get it done by 4pm. I now have missed a work opportunity and must get a ride Saturday morning so I can get to work. I went out of my way to drop it off the night before and now I stand to lose 2 days work as well as being inconvinienced. Very poor service and rude behavior of service dept.

I liked that there was no pressure sales, I looked, shopped, test drove, and dealt at my pace. I came in as a stranger to do business and feel like I left with a friend. I have had Dodge and Chrysler vehicles all of my life, as did my father. That's where I got my start. My wife and I have had 4 great SUVs over the last 12 years, but felt that we needed a change. We live 40 miles from Tunkhannock and only travel there occasionally. Using the Website to search their inventory saves us time and gas. Could Tunkhannock Auto Mart be the worst dealership ever? Maybe, maybe not. But I am not exactly sure where to place the blame. Ownership? Management? Just a bad salesman? I know it is not every single person at the dealership because just 2&1/2 weeks ago I stopped in & had a good experience with a salesman named Leon. He was new to sales, but you wouldn't have known it. He was pleasant, honest, & made you want to purchase a vehicle from the dealership. Due to this, I drove there 2 weeks ago to test drive a car that I have been interested in. The dealership is 1&1/2 hours away from where I reside, but given the fact Leon was very professional, I figured I would attempt to possibly purchase a vehicle from them & keep business semi local since I already have 5 other dealers that are 3 plus hours away interested in my trade & giving me top dollar for it. So I made the trip back to the dealership & Leon happened to be busy with another customer. Thus, another salesman, Travis came over & decided to help me. Now I met Travis the same day I met Leon & Travis tried selling me 2 vehicles I had no interest in. One a mini van & a Jeep that was way out of my price range. When I told him I did not like the mini van, he still tried to talk me into it. As soon as Travis met me & my fiance' (for which he never introduced himself to) he immediately asked me if I came back for the Jeep. What? I had already told him I was not in the market for a vehicle I could not afford by a great deal & really did not wish to go no more than what I originally stated based on what 5 other dealers are valuing my trade at, which matches every periodical auto price guide on the market. I said I was there to test drive the Chrysler 300c & he had no problem getting me the keys & allowing me to take the car for a 10 minute test drive. We got out of the car, & he said that we should just go inside & get everything out of the way right now. I agreed, & inside we went. The moment we walked in, Travis pulled out a "HOLD" tag & asked which 300c I wanted, Blue or Silver & said that he was going to place the tag on the car & that I could then give him the deposit or down payment on the car. I stated the Blue one, but that no numbers had been discussed & then stated to him exactly what I was able to offer to them for the vehicle. He said okay & asked us to sit down for a moment. Just about 10 minutes or so later he came back out & stated I could not purchase the vehicle because they were not willing to negotiate on their vehicle's price nor my vehicles trade value price. So first you are placing a "HOLD" tag on the car & wanting a deposit without discussing numbers & now you are automatically telling me I cannot have the vehicle & that you are not willing to move on my trade or your vehicle. As I told him I would never just give them my vehicle at 'auction value' unless they were selling me their vehicle at 'auction value', he no longer wished to participate in the conversation. I informed him that I have 5 other dealers looking to do business with me & he did not care. Therefore, my fiance' & I got up & stated we would be leaving. Never a single nice gesture came from Travis. Just that I needed to pick a cheaper vehicle. The irony to all of it is right there on their lot, in their inventory, was another 300c in my price range & it never dawned on Travis to take us out & go over that vehicle as a possibility to earn my business. Needless to say, I will NEVER consider purchasing a vehicle from this dealership due to their poor business practices in trying to earn my business & less than acceptable skills of at least one of their salesman. With as many vehicles as I purchase, I definitely have to chalk this one up as a huge loss for them.

I drove to Tunkhannock Auto Mart Tuesday evening to test drive a car that I have been interested in. The dealership is 1&1/2 hours away from where I reside, but given the fact Leon, a salesman in training was very professional, I figured I would attempt to possibly purchase a vehicle from them & keep business & my money semi local since I already have 5 other dealers that are 3 plus hours away interested in my trade & giving me top dollar for it. So I made the trip back to the dealership & Leon happened to be busy with another customer. Thus, another salesman, Travis came over & decided to help me. Now I met Travis the same day I met Leon and Travis tried selling me 2 vehicles I had no interest in. One a mini van & another a $37k Jeep that was out of my price range. When I told him I did not like the mini van, he still tried to talk me into it, until I repeatedly stated, I was never going to purchase one.I have been purchasing vehicles for 29 years & have purchased 54 vehicles in that span from dealerships. I know the games, the tricks, & the business pretty well. Thus, I am not the newbie that any dealership is going to take advantage of with the so called, 'tricks of the trade'. So Tuesday evening as soon as Travis met me & my fiance' (for which he never introduced himself to) he immediately asked me if I came back for the Jeep. What? I had already told him I was not in the market for a $37k vehicle & really did not wish to go no more than $26k based on what 5 other dealers are valuing my trade as, which matches every periodical auto price guide on the market. I stated I was there to test drive the Chrysler 300c & he had no problem getting me the keys & allowing me to take the car for a good & solid test drive. We got out of the car, & he stated that we should just go inside & get everything out of the way right now. I agreed, & inside we went. The moment we walked in, Travis pulled out a "HOLD" tag & asked which 300c I wanted, Blue or Silver & said that he was going to place the tag on the car & that I could then give him the deposit or down payment on the car. I stated the Blue one, but that no 'official" numbers had been discussed & then stated to him exactly what I was able to offer to them for the vehicle. He said okay & asked us to sit down for a moment. Just about 10 minutes or so later he came back out & stated I could not purchase the vehicle because they were not willing to move on the price of it nor give me what my trade value was worth beyond an 'auction value' they quoted me in an email, which by the way, Travis knew going into the deal. So first you are rushing to place a "HOLD" tag on the car & wanting a deposit without discussing numbers & now you are automatically telling me I cannot have the vehicle & that you are not willing to move on my trade value or your vehicle's price. Not to mention, they never even looked at my vehicle physically. When I told Travis I would never just give them my vehicle at 'auction value' unless they were selling me their vehicle at 'auction value', he no longer wished to participate in the conversation. Never a positive gesture came from him during our conversation from this moment on.. Just that I needed to pick a cheaper vehicle. I informed him that I have 5 other dealers looking to do business with me & he did not care. Therefore, my fiance' & I got up & stated we would be leaving. Again, not a single positive gesture towards us, not even a 'thank you for coming in'. The irony to all of it is right there on their lot, in their inventory, was another 300c in my price range & it never dawned on Travis to take us out & go over that vehicle as a possibility to earn my business. Needless to say, I will NEVER consider purchasing a vehicle from this dealership due to their poor trade values & sales tactics. With as many vehicles as I purchase, I definitely have to chalk this one up as a huge loss for them.

Reed was a great salesman. Very friendly, laid back, and extremely easy to talk with about the Ram I leased. Originally went to tunkhannock auto mart just to "look" at a particular vehicle. I was in the market for a new Dodge Ram and saw a black on black that I liked. When I got there the next day unfortunately it was already sold. Eddie pulled around a different truck that he thought would meet my needs an asked me to go for a ride in it despite my protest. I fell in love with the truck instantly. Eddie was a great non-pushy salesman and was very patient. I ended up getting into a truck I didnt realize at the time I wanted and I couldn't be happier. They are also the farthest away, but I thought I would give them a shot. I have always wanted a Jeep. It's been my dream car since I was a kid. Alex Clapper made it happen. He gave me a great deal on my trade-in (Honda Fit) and helped me find the perfect Jeep to fit my lifestyle. He took me to various areas on the test drive so I could see how the Jeep handled on various terrain. Alex also took the time to go over all interior and exterior features. He even walked me through taking the hard top on and off and supplied my with tools to remove the doors. I will forever be a Jeep owner, and I will continue to use Alex as my dealer. Love him!!

I had an appointment with Matt for 9am. I walked in and he was ready to go. We went out on the lot and it literally took less than 5 minutes to pick out the truck I wanted. During the test drive he was able to answer all questions and was also able to give me more info on the vehicle. It took a total of 2.5 hours from the time I walked through the door till I had the keys and was getting in my new truck. Excellent first time experience and I plan on coming back for my next purchase.

Kristian was a great, hardworking salesman. After a car we were interested in at his dealership sold before we could look at it, he told us he would keep an eye out for another one. A few weeks later we received a call from him stating he had another vehicle with the specifications we were looking for. We were unable to come to the dealership due to time and work constraints. Kristian offered to bring the car to my work so I could look at it during my lunch hour. Did I forget to mention that this happened to be Kristian's day off? I never met him before and was surprised someone would do this for me. Kristian was knowledgeable about the car and professional without being high pressured. I would definitely consider buying a car from him again. This Jeep has been great thus far and drives great in all of the snow we have been getting this winter.

Matt Kerr is a great guy. Traveled 2 hours to get to Tunkhannock Auto Mart from NJ and Matt met me there on his day off, had my 2012 Chevy Silverado LT all ready to go. We signed the paper work and were out of there just like that. We worked out a deal and were able to do the majority of the paper work over the phone and through email which was a great convenience since i am not local. I talked with Matt for about a month while I was researching trucks from all over the area, he was very helpful and informative and truly seems like a genuine guy. Thanks a bunch Matt for making this experience enjoyable and so smooth. The biggest plus for me in choosing Matt was that he didnt hassle me. I talked to over 30 different dealerships and the majority of them would email me daily and call me relentlessly. Matt was there when I needed him and didn't bother me with daily reminders that I am in need of a new vehicle.

We are Subaru people who once had a Subaru Baja. We have purchased 5 Subaru foresters through the years, but my husband's favorite car was a 2005 Subaru Baja which we purchased new. When it was time for a new vehicle we purchased a new Subaru Forester, but my husband really missed his Baja. One evening I thought of checking on-line for a Subaru Baja. Just by chance I came across Tunkhannock Auto Mart which advertised a 2003 Subaru Baja with only 58,000 miles. I couldn't believe it! We had a second Subaru Forester that had over 100,000 miles and no problems, but knowing how much my husband loved his Baja I decided to look into this car. I was contacted by Kelly Thomas from the dealership and made arrangements to see this Baja. We were very impressed by Kelly's knowledge, professionalism, and kindness, as well as the friendliness of the receptionist who directed us to Kelly. I was not really going to buy. Just wanted to see what kind of trade I could get. I decided to trade and lease a wrangler. I wanted a 4dr but I wanted the payment to be as low as possible. So I settled for the 2dr. Dave would not move on price. I was putting part of my trade down and getting cash back. I wanted running boards put on. So I needed to go home to get my title and was told everything would be ready when I returned. The jeep was read but, the paperwork was not. Another hour and half. Total time for transaction was three and a half hours. When I was to sign paperwork the finance person said he put the price of the running boards on top of the price of the vehicle. Then wanted me to finance not lease. At the end he said my cash back for the trade had to come from Scranton Jeep and would receive a check by Tuesday MINUS the cost of the running boards. I thought maybe the finance guy just made a mistake. When Dave finally came with the paperwork to sign I said I was not going to pay twice for the running boards. He said they need to show the price somewhere so they will take it out of the cash back. I said you already put the cost in the price of the vehicle. Dave also said I would get my cash back by Tuesday. I called on Wednesday. Dave was not in so the manager was to call me back. 3 hours later I called again and the manager was to call me back. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. The next day SOMEHOW I received my check in the mail. The check was from Tunkhannock when I was told that all checks have to come Scranton Jeep. I am not sure what to think. I have bought many vehicles in the past 30 years and I really regret going there. I went in 3 weeks later just to see if I could upgrade to a 4dr wrangler and Dave had quite. The other salesperson said I would loose my down payment. I am pretty sure I will not walk through the doors again.

I seriously shopped around for a vehicle for months and really wasn't sure what I wanted. I looked at new and used. I looked at cars, trucks, and SUV's. Joe Dafcik at the Tunkhannock Auto Mart was excellent throughout the whole process and I truly cannot thank him enough. Months ago I inquired about a jeep wrangler online and Joe was the salesperson who contacted me, via e-mail. I spoke with him by phone 1 time. All of my other communication was via e-mail and text messaging, because Joe even gave me his cell phone number! I shopped around online at tons of dealerships, but out of all of them, Joe was the only person who wanted anything to do with me even if I wasn't willing to come to the dealership or talk to him by phone. Every other dealership didn't want to deal with me and the online communication that works best for me. If I wasn't willing to talk by phone and actually go to the dealership I didn't hear back from them after an e-mail or two. Anyway, I coudn't be happier with the service I received from Joe and the other great folks at the Tunkhannock Auto Mart. I wasn't pressured and they didn't badger me. When I first started looking at vehicles I ended up deciding that I wasn't ready to buy right at that moment. However, every few weeks I would recieve an e-mail from Joe just letting me know that if there was anything that he could do for me that he was there. A couple of months later when I decided that I was ready to buy, Joe was the first person that I contacted and I ended up making my purchase through him. My experience with the Tunkhannock Auto Mart was nothing short of excellent! I love my new Wrangler and I feel completely comfortable with my purchase. Joe and everyone else involved at the Tunkhannock Auto Mart really made my car buying experience easy and stress free.I would recommend the Tunkhannock Auto Mart and Joe Dafcik to anyone looking to make a vehicle purchase! Dealership is very friendly and once the car was taken back, turn around time was good. Only negative on this visit was that we waited for 50 minutes for both our vehicles to be taken back to be serviced. Jeep was being inspected and oil change and my husband's Dodge Truck was getting an oil change and tires rotated. We have the "membership" card, but it still quite a while for the vehicles to be taken back.

I went to Tunkhannock Auto Mart (Tunkhannock, PA) not knowing really what kind of car I wanted. I had been contacted by Joe Dafcik to set up a time. As soon as I met Joe, he made me feel like I was the only person he wanted to talk to. Joe had showed me some cars then we walked up to a 2013 Kia Sorento. I had never really noticed a car like that. I looked at Joe and said "This is a really nice Car". His response was "Let me get the keys". We took the Kia for a test drive and I instantly wanted her. Joe started on the paperwork and within a couple of days she was Mine. Joe had a lot to take care of when it came to my trade in and he kept me up to speed throughout the whole process. This is my 2nd purchase of a Jeep Grand Cherokee at Tunkhannock Auto Mart and I am competely satified with not only the vehicle but also the great customer service. I recently went there looking for Gary (the salesperson who sold me my 1st Jeep). I was happy to learn he was still there although now in the financial department. I was directed to another salesperson, Derek Guiton, who completely listened to what I was looking for. He answered all my questions, explained all the features and options and helped me decide which model would be best for me. Knowing my budget, he was patient and worked with me. He was not "pushy" and did not try to sell me more than I needed which is a quality I sincerely appreciate in a salesperson. He put forth a lot of effort to find the vehicle in my option and color choice. Needless to say, he found my vehicle and had it delivered to their dealership in no time. Even after he had my sale, when picking up my new Jeep, he spent a great amount of time again showing me how to work some of the awesome features inside the vehicle. Fortunately I had the opportunity to work with Gary again when it came time to finance the vehicle. Gary was awesome when explaining all the options and helped steer me in the right direction that would suit my budget best. There are a couple Jeep dealerships much closer to where I live that would have been much more convenient for me, athough the customer service, professionalism, and facility appearance was well worth the travel.

I worked with two sales people overall & one in particular. I was impressed with the integrity of both. My family has had experience with Joe D., so I asked for and worked with him. I cannot say enough for him or Eddie, the other salesman I talked to. As for financing, Gary found me a lender for less than HALF what I'd been offered elsewhere. Overall, I highly recommend this dealership.

Stopped in one evening to look at a Dodge Dart. I was looking to get something that was much better on gas but still had style and options. I spoke with Eddie. He patiently listened to all my questions and answered each with all the answers I was looking for. I was picky about the color and he said getting the car I wanted was no problem - and it wasn't. I stopped in after the weekend for a test drive - and the car I was looking at was there. Car was nice. I decided to buy after I was given a very fair deal that I loved. I was shown a few extra protection plans to help make my purchase even better. Every step was no hassle, courteous, friendly....I had bought there in the past and I look forward to doing business again in the future. My wife, Anne Marie, and myself, Ken, recently were in need of a new vehicle. After checking out the used trucks we decided to go new. We researched every brand of truck and settled on the Ram. I was met by Joe Dafcik upon entering the lot. I showed him the jeep I was looking for from the website. He found it parked behind 2 other cars, pulled it out and began to explain all the features. We took it for a test ride and it was everything I was looking for. While doing the paper work he found another small added discount to offer me. It was going to be a few days before I could get a ride to pick it up so Joe offered to deliver it to my home. (didn't get that from the Toyota dealer)!! He is very professional and made me feel very at ease. My first jeep came from this dealership in 1997 (Cherokee) and It is still in use today. Quality where it counts. I have purchased several vehicles from Tunkhannock Auto Mart in the last 5 years. The sales people are great and trick you with respect and courtesy. I always feel comfortable in the sales area and never feel pressured to buy. Basically it is the best place to buy a car or vehicle in the area. There is no chance of getting a bum deal because all the people you deal with are high quality and many are living in your town or neighborhood. I always go to them first when looking for a vehicle.

I recently purchased a used vehicle from tunkhannock auto mart. I placed a email inquiry about a truck wed night and thursday morning Matt Kerr promptly got back to me. I had a specific price I needed to be at and Matt went above and beyond what I had figured. He didn't stop until he got me the lowest possible price and interest rate. I purchased two vehicles from this dealership. My 1st vehicle was a brand new 4 door jeep that leaked like a sive. It was at their dealership over 7 times for repair each time the problem was worse than before. It was never fixed. I traded the vehicle in on another brand. I needed a hitch put on since I have a small camper trailer. During the sale I asked if a factory hitch could be installed and was told no problem. Kelly went to the service dept got everything confirmed. I informed her I had a trip coming up in 3 weeks and needed it installed by then, again i was told noo problem. An installation date was set one week after. I was called a day prior to the installation and told they did not have the part and could not do the install. I did complain and I spoke with the sales dept Kelly which said she would take care of it. She called and said to bring it up at the scheduled time. I was told the installation would take 2 hours I sat there over 6hrs. At times I could see my vehicle on the lift with no one working on it. Well i get the vehicle and guess what they installed an aftermarket hitch without telling me or giving me any kind of warning. I didn't request an aftermarket hitch I was told it would be factory. I was lied to and deceived by these ppl. Also when I complained because it looked like crap, was not what I ordered and the cost would have been much lower than a factory hitch. I was told it was there was no difference in price due to it taking longer to install labor wise. What a joke I didn't request this type of hitch in the first place and there telling me due to labor there is no price difference. I planned on suing but not worth it from what Im told. Watch for Kelly she seems so nice up front but all she has on her mind is cash and how best to take it from you.

Tunkhannock Auto Mart was great from start to finish. I inquired about a van through their website and received instant responses. I was referred to Matt Kerr who remained in email contact with me. He answered all my questions and gave me an idea of what he could do before I took the drive out to dealership. I was the most impressed with his willingness to come in and meet with me on his day off. To me this said a lot about who he was even before I met him. I had a great experience with him from start to finish. He was able to fit me with a van that was in my price range. And even after we left the dealership, he called me once within the first half hour to let me know he had spoken to my insurance company to get my vehicle covered. And then called a few days later to make sure everything was going okay with my vehicle. 1-25-13 was my second great experience with Tunkhannock Auto Mart and Matt Kerr. I e-mailed Matt on Thursday, 1-24-13 near the end of the day and within a very short time, I recieved a response. I went to look at a 2012 Chrysler 200 "S" on 1-25-13 at approx 11am. At 1:15pm, I was driving away with the car. THAT EASY. Matt treated me like a friend and not someone who was just another customer. The sales manager Kevin came over to me just to say hello. The whole dealership and ALL of the staff are great. After owning a Jeep for 18 years, I should have known to come back to Jeep all along. I have been looking for months for a reasonably priced SUV with low miles and late model year. Tunkhannock Auto Mart had just what my wife and I wanted. What I paid for my 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport back in 1994 (new) is almost the same price that I paid for my 2012 Jeep Liberty. It was my first vehicle I was purchasing and Tunkhannock was the second dealership i went too. The prices were fair and they had tons of vehicles to look at. I was helped by Derek, let me say he made my whole experience. Great guy and great sales person wasn't pushy not unpleasant, or anything. We took one vehicle for a test drive and we ended up talking about football for most of the trip! He is a person not just a sales man giving you a line. I ended up buying a different vehicle that Derek emailed me about because it was in my price range and had low mileage. I have always disliked the process of purchasing a car from a dealer (and, more specifically, sleazy salesmen). Dealing with Dave Russell was pleasantly straight forward. While he certainly did not "give away the store", he treated my wife and me respect and fairness and afforded us full opportunity to explore alternatives and consider what was in our best interest. From the moment we stepped on the lot we were greeted by one of the sales folk, Dave Russell. My son and I were in looking for a truck that he picked out, but due to the massive selection, they were both buried. Dave was more than happy to help us get them out in the open and show us around them talking about their features. Once we decided on purchasing, the process went very smoothly and we were kept informed for any issues or opportunities. Buying a new car takes time, a couple of hours, but Dave & company made it go by pretty seamlessly. Overall, great experience, great salesman - Dave, and I would definitely come back for a new vehicle again. This is my second new vehicle from them. As a matter of fact......I came back three weeks later and bought a new JK Wrangler for myself from them. My 2007 Wrangler was taken in for a wobble in the steering. After a "33 point check" it was decided that a steering dampener was necessary. I was charged $300 and ten minutes after leaving the dealership the problem occured again but far worse where I had almost lost control of my Jeep. The car had to be towed back and I was told that the tires are chopped and will cost $900 to replace, my tires are less than a year old and have under 20,000 miles on them. Now because of the service departments negligence to inspect the tires I am paying $300 for a completely unnecessary repair and they want $900 for tires that may not fix the problem. Due to this deplorable service I will not suggest this dealership to anyone and now have a warranty exclusively through them that I will not use because of their unreliable service. Not even as much as an apology from the service department.

The Service Department at Tunkahnnock Auto Mart is great. They are always very friendly and very informative. The length of time for your service appt is always right on. There are dealers closer to our home but the reputation of Tunkhannock Auto Mart's service was the main reason we bought our Nitro there. Love that they are open on Saturday. Keep up the good work.

I visited several dealers and Joe at Tunkhannock Auto Mart was the only one to follow up with me, even after I realized I could not afford what I was shopping for and basically told him so. That, along with his friendly demeanor and the fact he did not put any pressure on me was the reason I decided to buy from them. I did have a nearer dealership to me but was turned off by the "you have to commit today for us to get this car or give you this price" tactics. That almost made me put off buying a new car all together till I visited Tunkhannock Auto Mart. Once I decided on a car I wanted and in my price range I got back in touch with Joe and he ordered it from the factory for me. Price negotiations were open and very fair with no baffling with numbers. I went to the delearship to pick up my newly built and delivered Dodge and became pressed for time, which was no problem as Joe expidited the sales transaction for me once I asked him. All in all a smooth process and an awesome new loaded 2013 Dodge Dart. When the time comes I will be buying again from Joe and Tunkhannock Auto Mart!

My wife and I are from Vermont and we had been looking for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for about 2 months with not much luck. We went to many dealers through out VT and kept getting jerked around. Everywhere we went would not give us what we wanted for our trade, or wouldn't get the montly price to what we wanted. After searching online we found Tunkhannock auto mart. We called about a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited they had and within an hour Kelly Thomas had called us back with a price they would give me for my trade and the price on their Jeep. The numbers were what we wanted so we proceeded and again within an hour we had approval and set in stone numbers. Now we were at the point of setting up a day to go pick it up and it was going to be a 12 hour round trip for us so we asked if they could meet us half way and they said no problem. So we went and met half way and the Jeep was everything they promised. My wife and I couldn't be happier with Kelly and the dealership we will recommend them to anyone and we will deffenitly be returning customers when it's time for the next vehicle.Sincerely,Ryan W.Georgia,VT

Everytime I go here, everyone is very nice! The only reason I gave an O.K. for price is B/C inqured about getting the Oil Change Package before my appointment but upon check-out I didnt get charged for it or asked if I was still interested in recieveing it. I had three children with me so my mind was quite busy that day. I suppose I felt like I should have been asked if I still wanted the package. When I had time to sit down to review my charges, I called back to inquire about why I didnt recieve the package and Stephanie said it was because I didnt confirm that I wanted it. Shouldnt the bill be reviewed with the customer before they leave?Thanks!

I could not have asked for a better sales rep. Jessie is very knowledgeable and has a great personality. She is also quite patient-I was at the dealership over 5 hours going over my list of "must-haves" for my new vehicle. We had a fantastic experience dealing with Jessie. She was not at all forceful like most sales reps, which is a huge turn off. I would have walked right out of the dealership if she was. We will definately be back to see Jessie next June for a new vehicle for my wife.

Jesse was wonderful to work with, my son was finishing up college and his final year of ARMY ROTC, he did not have time to come home and search for a vehicle, Jesse helped us find a Jeep, that fit what he was looking for, and within his budget, she was even kind enough to give us her personal cell phone number, to contact her with questions, and boy did we have a lot of questions. When we were at the dealership for delivery, nick was missing some school information and Army information for rebates, Jesse helped us get that info so the rebates could be applied to the purchase price,. This dealership was recommended by several of my friends. Upon arriving at the dealership to look around, I met Eddie. After a brief discussion, the car I was looking for was actually on site and ready for a test drive. Within an hour of arriving at the dealership, Eddie worked within my budgetary constraints to achieve the monthly payments I was comfortable with and paperwork was signed, deposit made, a pick up time set for my new car and I was on my way home eagerly anticipating my return the next night to pick up my new Jeep Patriot. I bought my car from the Credit Car portion of Tunkhannock Auto Mart, and had a wonderful experience from day 1. Something mechanically went wrong with it, and I called them and they came and towed it. It was fixed within 2 days, and I didn't have any problems after that. Every time I came in to pay my bill or even called I was greeted with a friendly person who was always willing to help me out.

First, I am very happy with my Jeep so far. LOVE satellite radio. I appreciate Joe's patience with me. I understand his goal is to sell cars and it took me several weeks to come to that end. He kept in contact, but did not overly pester me with whether or not I was ready to buy. I was a little disappointed that I had to pay a little more than the original numbers we hashed out, but again, I took my sweet time in coming to a decision and was still able to recieve a rebate and end up with a "reasonable" car payment. This is my first new car in a decade - I vacillate from being exctied to experiencing buyer's remorse. The day I received my car was quite an experience. I appreciate that Joe was willing to drive to Scranton in the rain to pick up my vehicle, but the paperwork and the wait was quite long. Maybe an offer of some coffee or at least someone to come an explain that the place was very busy that day and why I had to wait would have been helpful (I kept thinking something was wrong,and I wasn't going to be able to make my purchase that day.)? Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

Jessie Lininger was very pleasant to deal with. She was a huge factor in my deceision to buy the Jeep Wrangler for the simple fact she was honest with me about everything. We have purchased 2 used Jeep Libertys from Tunkhannock Auto Mart. The service and friendliness of the employees is great. We have never had a problem with service. They are efficient and helpful, calling when there is even the smallest problem or concern. They recently called us to tell that the reason we were having problems with our tire was there was a nail in it and it needed to be plugged (which they did). I would definetly recommend Tunhannock Auto Mart to my friends (especially Matt Kerr, who helped us find our jeeps. After purchasing them, he kept in touch making sure that there were no problems. I was looking for a new Jeep for my husbands birthday. I am very particular about salesman. It makes or breaks the deal for me. Matt came out and introduced himself and I new instantly that he was a great guy. He spent a lot of time...several hours..helping me find exactly what I wanted. He negotiated with me even though some of my requests were difficult. I never felt pressured to buy. He made my appointment with him seem all about my satisfaction. We ended up with a brand new Jeep with my requests granted. Matt also went above and beyond and ensured that this would happen as a surprise to my husband. We did not feel pressured at any point during our buying experience. This is very important to us when purchasing a vehicle. When we bought our first on we didn't know who we would be dealing with but we are very gald it was Matt. My wife and I went to the dealership to buy a part for our previously purchased Chrysler Town and Country. While there my wife saw a Dodge Journey and fell in love with it and before we left do to the salesperson and our previous experience we had purchased it. I had also seen on the lot a used but in great condition Dodge Nitro and before I new it we were buying that as well. This would not have been possible if it were not for the deal we received as well as our past experience with both the sales and service departments of Tunkhannock AutoMart as well as the friendly staff. I not would but have highly recommended them to friends and others who have seen both my wifes new Journey and my Nitor.

We visited almost every dealership in the Wilkes-Barre market while looking for an SUV but always left very disappointed with the customer service received. My husband mentioned we should check out Tunkhannock Auto Mart so we checked out their website and I became very interested in the Compass. I sent some inquiries in and we received some information back from Dave Russell. He was very easy to work with and we scheduled everything through e-mail! On our visit there and after speaking with him, we decided the Patriot was a much better choice for the type of vehicle we were looking for. Dave was fantastic to work with! He was easy to communicate with, very friendly and very knowledgeable which we did not find at the other dealerships we had visited. Definitely will recommend him to friends/family/others! After seeing a Chrysler T&C Van on the web page of Tunkhannock Auto Mart last Saturday morning, I called and received a very friendly operator who put me in touchwith Eddie one of the sales reps on the floor. We made an appointment for 2:00 pm andhe had already taken the time to have the van I had asked about, washed and waiting onthe front lot to look over and enjoy a test ride...after a short demo of new featureson this model that our old van did not have, we took a short ride and I drove back tothe office to discuss what kind of deal we could arrange. We all agreed that this wasthe van we should buy even though we were only "LOOKING" today. We felt a fair pricewas arrived at so a down payment was given and arrangements were made to pick-up thevan this past Tuesday. Everyone on staff in the showroom were very friendly and Eddiewas just "super". He made follow-up calls to be sure the time arranged was still a goand was waiting for us to close the deal Tuesday at 2:00 when we arrived. This is ourfourth Town & Country Van and we just love all the upgrades from our 2004 model. We have already told a friend about TAM and Eddie along with a neighbor. I am sure whenwe are ready to buy again this is the first place we will visit and hopefully find that Eddie will be our salesperson, and if not someone in his family just as nice.Thanks for caring about your customers, something that is missing from so many businesses. First impressions do count and ours with both Eddie and TAM meant a lot.

There was never any pressure to purchase as opposed to other dealerships. My husband and I knew it was time for a new vehicle but let's be honest, the car buying procedure is not exactly a walk in the park. However, prior to our coming into Tunkhannock Auto Mart I had reviewed their inventory online. I submitted a request about purchasing a new car and received an immediate response from David Russell. He stayed in constant contact with me regarding questions I would approach him with. Upon arriving at the dealership David was friendly, helpful and informational from the start. He worked all day with us to make sure he got us into the Dodge Nitro we selected. I was tense and my husband was calm about the financing for the Nitro and David made a point to make me feel comfortable and relaxed as he put every effort into making our dream a reality. Was looking for a Jeep Wrangler for my daughter, so I filled out the online questionnaire and received a call back the next day from salesman Dave "Riley" Russell. I set up an appointment with him for the following day. He walked us around the lot and showed us his inventory. We picked out one we liked and took it for a test ride. He showed us all the features and ran us through the numbers. They offered us a great value on our trade in. We were very satisfied with the costs, so we did not even bother looking at other dealerships. We purchased the Jeep the next day. Dave was one of the main reasons we chose not to look anywhere else. He provided us with all the information we needed (in a non pressure like environment) and did it in a timely manner. He even met us after regular hours to accomodate our busy schedule.

Everyone at Tunkhannock Auto Mart is outstanding. It's a friendly envornment with no pressure, and the salesmen go out of thier way not just to work with the customer but to work together when things get busy. Eddie, Kevin, and Joe were all great to deal with and Gary from Financing was able to get us a great rate. i took my 2007 dodge dakota in for service because i was getting 6 miles to the gallon. they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it, and when i questioned them the threw me my keys and told me not to come back. sales people are good, but a place like that is only as good as it weakest link and that is the service department. and let me tell you they are WEAK.

The staff was friendly, laid back, and knowledgeable. Eddie answered all of my questions and handled the return of a rental for me, as well as contacted my insurance agency with all of the information for the car I purchased. My husband bought a 2009 Jeep Wrangler for me as a huge congratulations on completing your Masters in Education. We have been looking at Jeep Wranglers and I have always wanted one. The 2011 Jeep Grand Chorokee that I purchased today is the third Jeep that I have purchased from Tunkhannock Auto Mart through Eddie Swartztrauber. I have also purchased other Jeeps, a Pacifica and an Aspen at this dealership. My experiences have always been positive both in sales and service. Eddie is an excellent sales person. Honest, personable, reliable, always returns calls promptly, keeps his word....I feel he always puts my needs ahead of his desire to make a sale. That is not a quality that is commonly found in his profession which is why I don't shop around when I need a new vehicle. I just call Eddie. The service department is equally reliable. Although I have not needed their services often (the products are so reliable) they have always been on time for my appointmaents, taken the amount of time to service my car as was estimated and all problems were corrected on the first try. We have been purchasing our vehicles at Tunkhannock Auto for the past 10 plus years and we have no reason to look elsewhere for sales and service. My wife will be replacing her Aspen in the near future and all we will do is call Eddie and we know we will be satisfied.

We had previousley purchased a Dodge Caravan from Tunkhannok Auto Mart. They were honest and friendly. Since the purchase, we have received excellent service. When it came time to purchase a new vehicle, I knew I wanted a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Eddie walked me through the various styles and matched my wants to my needs. It was simple. my experience with tunkhanock auto has been very satisfying. i have purchased 3 jeeps and 1 honda, the salesmen were very thorough, and helpful. from kevin and his brother ed, i am very pleased with all my transactions there.they give you a good feeling about what they do and how they present themselves.people down here in scranton ask me why would you go all the way up there for a vehicle, my reply has always been, they are very nice people to work with.there is no pressure,at any time when you are there,they take the extra step to make you want to come back there to buy a vehicle.from the girls who answer the phone in the service dept, to gary the fiancial person, they truly are a cut above the of dealers i have dealt with in my other experiences with other dealers. glad to have found them, from a happy customer down in the big city. thanks to all the people that work at tunkhanock auto.dave tulaney.

What a WONDERFUL experience. In a matter of 4 hours my husband and I drove home in a used 2010 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4. He was very knowledgeable on the car we test drove. We did arrive with a trade-in vehicle and was given a very fair price. I have had my share of car dealerships in the past and can honestly say..... This was the best experience I have had. I will no doubt go back to Joe and Tunkhannock Auto-Mart for my next car.

I was in the market for a new vehicle. I was looking to purchase a Hummer H3 until a friend show me a picture of the "New" Jeep Wrangler Islander edition. After doing some research on the Islander I fell in love. I was browsing on Facebook one day and saw a post from Eddie that he was working at Tunkhannock Automart and to call for an appointment. I called and he got me right in. We sat and talked for a bit and then took the Jeep for a test drive. We weren't even out of the parking lot and I was SOLD! Eddie made the whole expirience TOO EASY! The jeep I test drove wasnt the one I wanted so he researched and found EXACTLY the one that was for me! It was delivered the very next day! I was a little sad, at frist, to trade my '06 Jeep Wrangler but I made the right choice!! Eddie and the whole staff at Tunkhannock Automart were amazing! It's my 2nd vehicle purchased there and will definitely return when the time comes.

What started my encounter with Tunkhannock AutoMart was the way the cars were displayed. The MUSTANG I purchased was placed on the corner of the lot and it made it stand out among the rest.I wasnot interested in buying a car at all at any time, but this car caught my attention and I fell in love with it. This experience kept me up for 3 nights. Finally I agreed to talk to a salesman and to test drive this car hoping it would put an end to the power this car had over me. I did not think that the salesman would be able to convince me to really buy this car. I thought I may not like it after driving it. I was in for a surprise, not only did I love the car more, but the sales person,Eddie Schwarztrauber, was a person that was easy to talk to and even have fun with. We just bought a 2007 Jeep Wrangler, with the assistance of Eddie. By far this was the most pleasant vehicle buying experience we have ever had. We were helped right away, we didnt feel pressured or uncomfortable, it was like we had know Eddie for years (even though this was our first meeting) he was friendly, professional, and NOT pushy like most salesmen, the type that would go out of his way just to make sure you were happy. I contacted Eddie via facebook when he was online one day and set up an appointment to go in and test drive a vehicle. From the time I walked in up to the sale there was no pressure from Eddie and he never tried to persuade me to buy out of the terms I had wanted. Being a "transplant" to the area, I was told you need a 4X4. My search started with used cars but soon realized for the money and warranty I would be better off looking at new cars. During my used car search I had met EDDIE SCHWARZTRAUBER, he was just as willing to help me with a used car as a new one. I enjoyed working with him because of his honesty and straightforward approach. I was so impressed with the overall experience the next week my husband also purchased a new vehicle thru EDDIE SCHWARZTRAUBER. The best experience I have ever had buying a car. Tunkhannock Auto Mart has got to be the most "customer friendly" dealership in Pa. They are great, very accommodating, informative and straight-forward. If your thinking about buying a car I would definitely suggest visiting Tunkhannock Auto Mart. We have purchased two vehicles from Tunkhannock Auto Mart in the past three years and our overall experience with the salesman Ed Schwarztrauber was excellent. He listened to what we wanted and expected and provided for us a wonderful deal on both of our vehicles and was extremely courteous and friendly. He has always provided calls to our home to check to make sure that we are happy with our purchases and if we have any concerns not to hesitate to contact him directly. We would recommend, and have to others this dealership and especially the salesman, Ed, as the buying experience was the best so far in all of the vehicles we have ever purchased. The service department also needs recognition, they are wonderful including the parts department. When I originally visited the Tunkhannock Auto Mart and didn't find the type of vehicle I was looking for, Eddie took the time to find the specific vehicle I was looking for and brought it to his location in less than one week. I contacted Tunkhannock Auto Mart on the internet as I was interested in the Dodge Nitro. From the start the dealership was very prompt in getting back to me with answers to all my qestions. Derek Guiton was my contact person and he was very friendly, professional, and so very courteous. Great saleman. I felt no pressure from Derek from start to finish. He was patient with me as I live 26 miles away from the dealership and had to drive my car there and leave it there and come back to pick it up. Gary, the Finance Manager too was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable at what he does.Car buying can be tedious, but both Derek and Gary kept me informed constantly as to what they were doing so I was not left just sitting there wondering what was going on.I would most definitely purchase another vehicle from Tunkhannock Auto Mart and recommend anyone to do the same.Thanks, Derek and Gary!!

I purchased a used vehicle from them and it was a great experience. I found the vehicle online and I am from Connecticut, so I drove all the way to Pennsylvania to pick it up. Derek [Guiton] had all of the paperwork ready for me and everything was exactly as promised. The car was beautiful and looked exactly like it did in the pictures. The payment was exactly as promised and I wasn't pressured to buy any extra stuff that I didn't want or need. I would drive all the way to Pennsylvania again to buy another car just for the positive sales experience I had with them. Definitely an A+ experience :)

What can I say about Tunkhannock Auto Mart. Joe is a very professional, no nonsense kind of salesman. He put me in a vehicle that was better than the one I went there to buy. He was aware of my budget and he made a deal that worked for me. I had a slight service concern, which turned out to be nothing at all, shorly after purchasing my Jeep Liberty that Joe and the service department addressed immediately. HI,,I just wanted to let you know of what I went thru on 12/21/09 with buying a 06 Durango.First, I can not stand buying a car. I dread all the games, lies, double talk,pressure and general bs that customers are put thru by sales people and finance managers.
