I had been looking for a car for over a month but couldn't find anything I truly liked. Once I arrived, Michael approached me and from the get-go was beyond understanding. He knew I wasn't sure of anything, but he did not push, instead he made me feel very comfortable in taking my time and making my own decision. This was my first experience buying a car, both Michael and James truly made it a very simple process as both were very understanding and patient. Thank you!!! This was the best car buying experience ever! Everyone was so nice and encouraging. Not one single person was pushy. I did not feel one ounce of pressure from anyone, but instead received help and excitement. I received the best deal for my money. I am so happy with my purchase, and will definitely come back when I’m ready for another purchase. This is our 4th car purchased in our family and will be returning. I had a really great experience here, from start to finish. I primarily worked with Stacy, and she was really helpful and considerate. The whole staff worked well with me and helped me to surprise my wife with a new car. They were really clear in explaining my options for financing, and got me the numbers I was very happy with! All staff I interacted with were very courteous, and exhibited great customer service; not just to me, but to my whole family, including my two young children. A real low pressure atmosphere, with great people. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to purchase a new vehicle.

I am not one to ever leave any reviews at all but honestly I was very disappointed in my purchase. I have purchased a good amount of vehicles from well know dealerships. I have never had an experience where things were all that great with my vehicle. I purchased a 2016 Mazda miata convertible with only 28k miles. Practically in new condition. Vehicle has a small windshield crack that didn't look like much. Dealership did not replace windshield and sold it to me like that. They did not release vehicle to me the day that I bought it because I was told it needed to undergo a pin point inspection for about 2 days to make sure everything was good with the vehicle. So the dealership provided me with a loaner car temporarily while my vehicle comes out from that inspection. 2 days later I get a call to go pick up the car and drive it home. Less than 24 hours later the windshield crack runs all through half the windshield and now you have a beautiful convertible with a messed up windshield which makes it look horrible. I knew that it was going to need replacement but didn't think it would happen so quickly. I thought that the dealership would of sealed that crack to prevent t it from spreading but I guess they did not. Aside from that every time I reach a red light the car makes a whistling noise. At first I was excited and I let it go. But now it just gets a little irritating. Looks like I'm going to have to take it in and see if brakes need some attention. I understand it's a used car but for the amount financed and with a good sized down payment put towards the loan I'm amazed that they gave me the car like that. I attempted to reach out to the dealership and explain my frustration and all they told me was that they were trying to get me a new windshield at the dealerships price. Another day has passed and no one has reached out to me to see what is the plan of action to get things fixed. I just resulted in having someone else install a new windshield out of my pocket so not to thrilled on that but it is what it is. The sales person was good to work with. Kind, respectful and did his job well. I'm just not so happy about some of these issues that I have never encountered at any other dealership. But overall the process was not too bad. It's an overall good dealership but you really have to negotiate some of the minor issues you see from the get go. I wish them all the best but not sure they would have my repeat business anymore.

My experience recently with Mazda Albuquerque was excellent. My car had a defect where in finding a part to fix it was very difficult. I dealt with a woman at Mazda by the name of Julia, unfortunately I don’t know her last name. Julia was very efficient and knowledgeable. She kept me up to date with several phone calls. I am immensely grateful for the customer service at University Volkswagen. Initially, Quinten, the service repair technician who was fairly new, told me the repair for the water pump on my 2012 Volkswagen CC was not under warrantee and gave me a repair quote that was not within my budget. I had to tow my car to an independent repair shop, where it was fixed. Meanwhile, I called the corporate office to inquire about the warranty and they discovered the repair was still under warranty and stated they would call the regional office and set it straight. When I called the dealership again, they stated the Corporate office will pay for the parts, but they won't pay for the labor. When I was driving my car home from the independent repair shop, I received a call from Quinten stating they would pay for both parts & labor. I really appreciate the fact that he set things right. Yes, people make mistakes, but when they own up to them and make them right, ...that is integrity worth sharing and writing a review. Especially since I am on a very tight budget. I was also very satisfied with my salesperson, Keith who sold me my car & this experience although a bit inconvenient has made me believe this is a car dealership I can depend on to take care of my car.

I love my 2007 Mazda Speed 3, which has required no service in 9 years other than oil and tire changes. At 70,000 miles I brought it to University Mazda for a full inspection. They sent me a video review of my car's condition (still excellent) and a list of needed repairs, which I could see with my own two eyes. The price was very affordable.

I had starting hearing a very strange thumping noise on my front wheels today. I couldn't see anything wrong with the car, so I decided to take it into University Mazda and have them check it out. Adam was very courteous and quick about getting my car checked out. Nicolas the technician, took my car and noticed I had a huge piece of tar attached to my tire. He was able to remove it quickly. Best service in town!!!! Thank you Adam and Nicolas!!

I have three areas of disappointment with my service at the University Volkswagen-Mazda dealership today. 1. My appointment was scheduled for 12:40pm. When I showed up, the person who checked me in said that all the technicians were out on the lunch break. When I asked him why they scheduled me during the lunch break, he said that they should not have scheduled. I hope that if you are not working during the lunch hour, in the future, you are not scheduling appointments during that time. 2. The person who checked me in mentioned that the work will be completed by 2:30pm and they will call me. I waited and after receiving no call, I went to the dealership at 3:30 to check on my vehicle. They have not started on vehicle yet. In fact, they have not started on my vehicle until much later. I am wondering if they are so backed up, in the future, I suggest the dealership to not schedule as many appointments when they do not have technicians to work on them. Make sure schedule of appointments and available resources match up. 3. Final and most important disappointment was they did not look at one item what the appointment was for. One of the items need checked is the ignition key. They just replaced the battery for the remote and did not even check whether it fixed the problem or not. When I asked them about it, they gave me an impression that they completely over looked it and did not even tell me about it until I asked about it. They offered me to come back for that item to be taken care later. It is Friday. I have taken time off from work. We were supposed to go out with family after 3pm. I walked out of the service appointment at 6:30pm. This is really a terrible first experience at the University Volkswagen-Mazda. I think Manager of this department seriously need to look at the suggestions and determine what went wrong and try to make improvements to provide better service.

Nick and Hubert went the extra mile to get us the car we wanted at the price we wanted to pay. This was one of two great experiences we have had in the last 30 years of buying cars. If you only sold Toyota trucks this dealer would be the only dealer we would buy from!

I high-centered my bug during the holidays (my bad). Took them over 3 weeks to repair. Granted it was the holidays but they made 6 errors. Things like waiting until mechanical work was done (including time to order parts) before starting on body. Service manager said body work was done badly so HE sent it back to be redone. Then after all that they discovered they hadn't ordered all the parts. And today, taking it to another dealership for my 2 year check, a 7th was discovered. A couple of plug wires were hooked up incorrectly. In addition, they dented my car and refused to take responsibility for it. The dent was right by the driver door so I would have noticed it when I took it in. And my only other trip there--my first one--was a snafu too. I requested a 1 year check. They did something else and after waiting 2 hours they had to start all over again. So i have had 2 bad experiences with them and i am not going to take a chance on a 3rd.

1.20.15 I am not sure I have EVER had such a smooth, easy, pleasant car-buying experience thanks to Nick Walker and Tavio Borba! From start to finish it was easy-peasy. I had no angst, no haggling, no BULLSHIT! Picked up my pretty little red Mazda Miata MX-5 on Martin Luther King's Birfday and I was lucky enough to tool around Los Lunas and ABQ with the TOP DOWN in January!Walker and Borba did just what they said they would, when they said they would! They were efficient, friendly, professional and when the time comes, I will seek out University VW Mazda again for my next purchase! Hands down, the best car dealership experience I have had. We dealt with 2 different sales people and both were awesome, knowledgeable, and great with explaining and taking care of us. They showed us all the new features on the Mazda3 and explained the new engine workings in a way we actually understood. They even set up the entire tech package for us including the free XM, my phone, Pandora, and Navigation. They gave us a tour of the entire facility, introduced us to everyone. Even the finance guy Tovio was so incredibly friendly...usually that is the worst part! I can't say enough about Jeff or Mike...and the entire staff actually! I can't imagine going anywhere else to buy a car after this experience. My husband and I talked about it for days...it was just awesome!

Relocating into the area, I needed to purchase a new vehicle for business travel. As I was commuting between locations, I looked into a number of dealers and provided a timeline for when I would be ready to purchase. University Mazda and in particular, Nick Walker, was the only one who didn't apply what I term the full court press in trying to get you to buy on your first look in the door. Nick was very accomodating in scheduling numerous visits and to answer questions as they came up. While it took about 3-4 weeks to complete the sale due to the relocation, I would say it was the best experience I've had in purchasing a new vehicle.
