Ricky Magoon is a great salesman, I highly recommend him. Andy Davis and Mike Kearns are great to deal with also. Service department is awesome, complete with complimentary wash after service.The only person I do not recommend speaking to or dealing with is Lance. He is all about the dollar and has no regard for the customer, all about sales. Every single other person there I have dealt with is absolutely about the customer and truly wants to see you leave happy. Lance needs additional customer service training.

Due to an unforeseen medical emergency I was unable to keep my appointment with Van Syckle. When I called the sales mgr to explain my situation he assured me no worries. He picked up my car himself, took it to the dealership where they changed my oil, inspection sticker & took care of a minor recall. My car was returned to me promptly...I appreciated the service so much. We live 70 miles from Van Syckle so for them to handle this meant a lot to me. Definitely refer friends & family to them!

I was running late for my appointment because of my wife's doctor's appointment, I called KIA and told them I was running late and they said just get here when you can and we will do your oil change whenever you get here. I think that is awesome. My wife is going thru radiation and chemo and we are never quite sure when and how long our appointments will be. So it was really nice to have someone bend over backwards to be so helpful.

We narrowed our search between a KIA Sorento and the Subaru Outback. Test drove the 2017 and the driver seat was not as comfortable and it seemed to be lacking a little pep. Leaning towards Outback now. Went home that nite and got a call that they had a 2016 Turbo with different seats that may work for us. Went back next day and test drove both again. It came down to positive sales experience and cargo space. Tyler was not pushy and very informative. Chris was very helpful throughout the process as well. After telling our inlaws of the great experience, they went and bought a sportage the very next day!

I went in for an oil change, state inspection, windshield wiper replacement on my car. Then it came to light that a sway bar needed replacing. The entire service took only an hour and a half!

Actually, I like that it is a smaller physical business .....! And, I like knowing the salesman that I had previously worked with.....a familiar face! We felt comfortable w/Chris A and was pleased to have the same young salesman help us out. Was nice to be able to do a spin out Stillwater ave on our own....we did NOT feel pressured....which was VERY Important....as it is a big long term financial decision for an almost 20 yr old (obviously I am the older cosigner) . Thank you for repeating data when asked- I felt comfortable for asking for info to be repeated or recalculated and I did not feel like a "bother" . I think you have a great asset in Chris A

We recently traded our 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander for a brand new 2016 Kia Soul. We absolutely LOVE this vehicle!!! Tyler met us outside, we told him right up front what we wanted to do, how much we could afford for a payment, etc. He filled out the necessary paperwork, and within about 1/2 hour, we heard back from him that we were approved through Kia Motors for a brand new vehicle! This is the first new car I've ever had, and I'm beyond excited!!! Great gas mileage, bumper to bumper 100,000 warranty, GAP insurance included. And needless to say, Tyler was so helpful and understanding of our needs. Very nice guy, and he stayed with us until they had the car all ready to go, where usually after they sell u a vehicle, u don't see them again cause they're in their office drinking coffee!! I would recommend Van Syckle Kia in Bangor to anyone!!!

Van Syckle was familiar, from having had my Rio LX serviced there. I now live 150 miles away, but came back, on referral, to look for a new Soul. The service was consistently top shelf in all departments, and I believe I went through all of them. It should also be known that I had just sacked another dealership before choosing VS. The difference was astonishing, from the welcome, to the water, and beyond. Curtis was right on with sharing all the details I needed to know about the car. At my request, he patiently repeated it all on a second visit, again with obvious enthusiasm, and has been right there for me on followup. Mike, John, and all others were also at-the-ready with service and answers for my 100 questions.

Working with Jeremy was great. His "no high pressure" sales approach was a so nice.I had already decided I liked the car, Jeremy gave me more reasons to love it. Getting my car was one of the best experiences I have had buying a car. Everyone I talked to was polite, and very honest and upfront with information with me. I never once felt like they were trying to 'pull something over' to get the car sold. Most surprising was the amount of time I was there. I have never bought a car so quickly in my life. I like the way the I am treated, not just as a customer but like family. I am always treated with respect, and courtesy. I would not go anywhere else for a car. I bought a 2011 Kia Sorento EX at the end of 1/2015 from Van Syckle Kia in Bangor. Within 20 minutes of leaving the lot I noticed the front struts needed to be replaced, which they did for free that same week. Fast forward to today 5/26/15... the oil pressure switch is faulty, which spewed the $75 synthetic oil change I just had done 1000 miles ago all over the ground, there needs to be some other suspension work done, this is the 4th major component to fail in the last 4 months and all I was told is that the powertrain warranty they talked me into rolling into my loan does not cover this $350 repair! They told me the warranty would have my back if anything went wrong so I spent the extra $1000 on it. Ive only made 4 payments on this vehicle and they are unwilling to help me?!! They offered me a 15% discount on the repair. I will never do business with these people again. Not ever. They sold me the vehicle and warranty under false pretenses that I would not have to worry about car repairs for quite some time and that they would be covered by the warranty only to turn around and weasel their way out of it in the end. Ive notified my financier. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and am currently looking for an attorney to get me out from under this lemon of a vehicle.

I was greeted politely and treated the same. The representative explained everything to me and the work on my vehicle was done to my satisfaction. My car had been "keyed" and their employees did a wonderful job in buffing and removing almost all signs of the damage. I was not yet in the market to purchase a vehicle, but after talking with John at the Bangor Mall and having him show us the Souls in the mall, we became more interested. Very impressed that the gentleman remembered me from a week before when I was there with my daughter when she brought her car in for service. They were very helpful with the problem with my car's noise. I did not pruchase my 2014 Sorento at this dealership but will return soon for oil change and any other service I might need in the future.

Betty Jo, Advisor, listened, never tried to make me wrong, and offered reassuring options as we discussed my problem and possible approaches toward a solution. My frustration was with the remote start on my new Kia Soul. Of course, it functioned as I drove into the service bay, but I live 2 hours away, and I had not been able to get my three-month-old remote start to work in cold weather. Betty Jo connected me with Nick, Van Sickle's resident expert on remote starts. Nick gave me a complete, detailed lesson on how the remote start works. He, too, was pleasant, patient, and professional. Betty Jo kept options open in case I got home and still had difficulties--I could talk with Nick on the phone/I could leave my Soul overnight and she would provide a loaner. When I tried the remote start at home the next morning at 18 degrees, it didn't work until I thought through and took advantage of everything Nick had taught me. Then, I got it to start, and I've been successful every trial since. Thus, I begin my relationship with Van Sickle's Service Department with joy that's sure to translate into word of mouth advertising.

The Service Advisor, Betty-Jo Cuthbertson, and everyone else in the service department provided exceptional service during my recent service appointment. I was very impressed - they treated me with respect and were genuinely nice - qualities that are increasingly uncommon from customer "service" representatives in other companies. I also really appreciated the opportunity to make an appointment online, after regular business hours, rather than having to wait until the service department re-opened the next day. And, I was able to get an appointment when I wanted it.

Staff was extremely friendly, filling out paperwork was seamless and they were able to get me a great down payment and monthly payment in a pinch when my last car broke down unexpectedly. John Costello and Mike Kearns were GREAT and they found me the perfect ride! They also went above and beyond to make my service appointment easier for me - by arranging for a driver to come and pick up my car and lend me a loaner while mine was getting serviced made things much more convenient. John has been in touch several times making sure I am satisfied with my new Sorento! He is very nice and super helpful!

Love the atmosphere and Customer Service. Everyone is just so polite and always making sure my needs are met. The waiting room is very comfortable and friendly. I actually brought my boxer (dog) in while my vehicle was having service. The staff were so friendly in making Bella feel comfortable they all gave her treats.

Kia was the 4th dealer that we went to and they were the only dealer that immediately asked us what colors we liked and which colors we didn't like so we got to test drive the vehicle we would buy, not an ugly one. Even though it was one of the coldest and windiest days in northern Maine our sales man, Jeff Mikowski, stood outside and showed us all the features of the Sorento. Everyone in the building was smiling and happy with us. They answered all our questions.

So far my experience with Van Syckle Kia has been a positive one, the sales personal were very nice but most are as they want to sell everyone that comes thro the door a new vehicle, after all that is what they are there for. I have had to have some warrantee work done and it was done in a timely fashion the service manager was very nice to work with. He explained what was going to take place with the work that needed to be done when asked. Hope this continues to happen. as you can see I did not give them an excellent rating as I think everyone can always use improvement.

I bought my 2005 Kia Sedona from Van Syckle in October 2012. Since then I have had nothing but problems. Everything from having to replace $700 parts when my van would no longer steer to an emission light that just came on today for the 5th time. I have put over $4000 in parts and repairs into the minivan. I started having problems 3 months after I bought it. Like most people I cannot afford a new car. Van Syckle was the only dealership around that had a minivan that had under 100,000 miles on it. This van had 60,222 miles. I contacted the dealership many times and was basically told "that's the chance you take when you buy a used car." I have regretted the purchase ever since. Like I told the sales manager I talked to---so much for the commercial on tv that says "best cars at the best prices, I'm Peter Van Syckle and I guarantee it." I will never shop here again.

This is as good as it gets! I have had two experiences this year with Van Syckle, and my daughter and son-in-law also bought from them. I was so afraid of all the new technology, but they have answered all my questions and been patient with me. My 2014 Forte is the first car I have bought in almost twenty years. It's beautiful, and smooth. I recommend Kia, and Van Syckle Kia in Bangor.

Went to get my car inspected. When I arrived, the woman behind the desk was chatting with a woman as I waited in line for 10 minutes to be waited on. When I finally was waited on, I waited over an hour just to have the car inspected. My car needed new tires. I told them I wanted to go to an auto body store to shop around for tires with a better warranty and they still tried to pressure me into buying the tires they had. I refused and then asked if I could make another appointing for the following day to have my car inspected again and they refused to look to see if they had any openings and just told me they didn't. Horrible customer service and I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE!
