It was finally time to end our relationship with our 2003 Passat wagon, so my wife and I drove down to Volkswagen of South Charlotte to see what was available. Salesman Kent McClure kept things light and pressure free. My wife and I knew immediately we would feel good about working with him. We came in on a Saturday to look around and left to think about it. We called him on Sunday and he came in on his day off to help us. He laid out our options, remained flexible, and never once made us feel like we "had to sign today or else!" His manager, Brian Soboh, and the finance manager, Fadi Saab, were friendly, courteous, and treated us like VIPs the entire time. It's rare for me not to have some sort of buyer's remorse when making a big purchase. Nevertheless I know I got the best deal on an awesome car.If you're in the market for a new or used car you'd do well to go see these guys.

Spiros Dedis gave us an education on all the bells and whistles of the Passat and Jetta!!!. We end up purchasing a R-line Passat. We honestly were Just looking and really not in the market yet to purchase. Fantastic salesman and the General Manager gave us a deal we could Not pass up. Dealership itself to beautiful. Looks nothing like most Dealerships. Even Service department is spotless. Amazing!!!

We live in Summerville, SC and I had been searching for a particular Volkswagen Beetle for my wife. I had already been to several dealerships in Charleston, SC to look at what they had advertised on the internet only to find out, even after speaking with them prior to my visit, the vehicles advertised were not even on their lots. Thankfully, I expanded my search to include the Charlotte area and to my surprise "Volkswagen of South Charlotte had exactly what we were looking for, the price was right and they really had the vehicle on their lot and agreed to hold it for me till I could drive up to Charlotte. My wife and I drove up to Charlotte that same day and found that the Beetle was exactly as advertised and described, we took a test drive and returned to the dealership to sign the papers. This experience was definitely worth the drive from Summerville and the sales people were very professional, knowledgeable, NOT PUSHY, and most of all HONEST. The best experience I ever had buying a car in my 70+ years. Michael Passaio and Kent McClure were the great sales people I dealt with and Kent actually called me several days later to make sure we made it home OK and to make sure the car was doing fine.

My wife and I were in search of a used mini van. We found what we were looking for at South Charlotte VW. The van was a used 2013 Toyota. The price was right and we needed to trade our SUV as our family is growing this December. As we entered the dealership, I had prepared my wife for the 'hard sell' from the sales person. To our surprise, we were greeted by Kent McClure, and he was very professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all...not pushy with his approach. His demeanor relaxed us and we felt as if we were getting the facts about the van, and we were. We received great attention to our request and great customer service from Kent. What a great experience! In addition, Kent had made some 'after purchase' promises that included a visit to the local Toyota dealership. True to his word, Kent followed up and we now have all that was requested in our new Mini Van. I would recommend, if you visit South Charlotte Volkswagen, ask for Kent!

I had the best car buying experience at VW of South Charlotte. I was in the market for a VW Beetle, but had specific features I wanted to make sure it had. I drove 3 hours because of the selection this dealership had. Our sales person, Ramsey Anabtawi, was great to work with. He was so friendly and willing to help us with anything we wanted or needed in purchasing a new vehicle. Rain or shine, I was determined to find the perfect Beetle. He stood in the rain with us as we looked and was so informative during the test drive. I am loving my white 2016 Beetle! It's perfect! Thank you VW of South Charlotte!

So, it was time for an oil change and because I was close to VW of South Charlotte I decided to give them a try ...From my car I called to schedule an Express Service Appointment.As soon as I drove into the bay area, I was greeted and assigned to Service Consultant Matt Testa. During the time with Matt, I shared that i had just left a job interview and as he explained the service options and pricing I said "Let's just do the required oil change for now" and that i was on a very tight budget... Matt then escorted me to the waiting area and about 1/2 hour later I was told my 2012 VW Passat was leaking oil on the engine, he then went onto say that it was my "lucky day "and that he called VW and explained that i was just a little over the warranty mileage and they agreed to pay for the almost $1200.00 repair...I was so happy and relieved that i had to go into the ladies room and cry...Matt was definitely "looking out for me" and I could tell that this is what he does everyday!... VW South Charlotte is now my number one choice for Service and Repair....Sincerely,Jenny H...

We just moved here from Texas and so far the only cool people we've found in Charlotte work at this dealership. Great experience. My only complaint is that they keep it so cold in there that my girlfriend and I had to huddle together for warmth during our deal. I ended up losing three toes to frostbite. Heated seats in the new Tiguan were nice...

I had done a lot of homework before I contacted the dealership, as I had very specific car criteria (type, mileage, carfax record, etc). I communicated with the dealership throughout the day, and their communication was specific to ME and MY car--not canned sales discussions. Once I arrived--at the end of the day by the way--I met my salesman Ramsey Anabtawi.Ramsey has a FABULOUS personality and immediately honed in on what was important to me while also emphasizing the specific attributes of the car. He handled the decision-making process with his team quickly and pleasantly and the deal was done. Paperwork was smooth, and I really appreciated that. Ramsey is professional, while friendly, and those are two great skills to have. There was no high pressure or squirrely-ness, just an honest transaction. I can't say enough kind things about Ramsey, but the bottom line is this: I just liked him.The finance manager, John Jones, was very efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. I came in pre-approved with my credit union, and did not receive even one bit of pressure to change my mind; this was so appreciated.The car was very clean when I arrived, and even cleaner when I left. Great job!At close, I received a great surprise, you'll have to find out your self!Overall, the dealership is very nice, really quiet fun! And most of the sales team acknowledged me in one way or the other if our paths crossed. Nice at the end of an already long day. Also, the dealership is right off the interstate, so easy access. Volkswagen is a great product, and this dealership certainly showcases the product well!The next time I need a used car I will first contact Ramsey, and will happily tell everyone what a great experience I had.

His politeness, humbleness and knowledge is outstanding. He answered all of our questions and concerns and worked with us to get the car we wanted. These guys are very easy and provide excellent customer service.Prior to visiting VW South Charlotte, we had visited two other dealerships in the Charlotte area and were pretty tired of negotiations and the hard sells. We came in to VW South Charlotte on a whim (even though we were looking for a Camry) and were extremely surprised at the friendliness and ease of working with the staff. Our sales guy was Matt Hettel who was more than accommodating and made it very clear that he had our best interests in mind. Car salesmen seem to get a bad reputation (we understood why at other dealerships) and Matt was the complete opposite. We checked out a few cars that first visit and left with absolutely no pressure (and no time wasted). After a friendly follow up with Matt and quick email exchanges (he's very responsive), we came back a day or two later (shortly before they closed for the day) and ended up buying a Passat instead of a Camry. We could not have made a better decision and could not have done it without Matt's help. We had a great experience from the minute we walked in all the way through about a half hour past closing time to finally purchase that car. The finance guy was quick and easy as well (we were in and out of that office in 10 minutes). Regretfully I can't remember his name (I think it was John) but he deserves to be recommended. Finally, I've come back twice for quick servicing (detailing/car wash) and this other guy, Kent McClure, has also provided excellent customer service. Can't recommend this dealership enough. In the past I'd visit multiple dealers for a car and get oil changes/rotations/etc at NTB orJiffy Lube. VW South Charlotte takes care of their customers and I don't expect to be going anywhere else for a long time.

I came in to test drive the 2016 Jetta. When I walked in, I immediately met Ramsey, and he told me about the car and let me take it for a spin. Little did I know, that car would be mine the next day. We traded in a car and got a great deal on it. No hassle, no frustrations, just great interaction and great customer service. I came back the next day and was able to drive it off the lot. This Jetta has all the bells and whistles and for the price, I still can't believe it. If you are looking for a new car, specifically a Volkswagen, go here and see Ramsey. Friendly sales. Service needs improvement. Had major problems with 2016 Sportwagen. In my opinion the problems were never properly diagnosed. The car was leased and returned to VW with less then 7000 miles on vehicle. I took a hard hit on this deal. I do hope and pray the leased 2017 Tiguan turns out to be a better vehicle.

There was a recall on my Jetta. Volkswagen of South Carolina took the time to phone me to schedule an appointment to suite me. When I arrived I was greeted from severely employees of Volkswagen. There was no wait time and they immediately took care of my car and gave me a estimate time for the pick up. I got a call an hour and half before my scheduled time.Thanks VW!

Bill Patterson helped me with the purchase of a Toyota they received as a trade-in recently. I've always wanted a VW Beetle (I mean, who doesn't!!!), but I also wanted a convertible. Dilemma! I was sure that the convertible Beetle was NOT what I wanted, but Spiros convinced me to sit in one, and then to test drive it, and I was SOLD! I love my new silver ladybug! I have never purchased a VW before or visited this dealership, but was pleasantly surprised by the service. We came with the intent to purchase a specific vehicle we had seen online and found the experience "hassle-free." After being greeted with a cup of coffee, our salesman, Bill Patterson, guided us through the process, was able to answer all of our questions and worked with us patiently to negotiate a price. I was a little concerned how my lease turn in or purchase was going to go, But Ramsey Anabtawi was great and explained all my options, and we decided to lease a new Passat. Great buying experience followed through by a great service experience. Volkswagen of South Charlotte are open early, and get you in and out fast for easy things like oil changes and service inspections. If they're busy, they provide transportation to and from my place of employment. I've been assisted by Tracy several times. She is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I appreciate being greeted with a smile, and working with people with a genuinely helpful attitude. I wouldn't take my VW anywhere else for service.

Initially, I visited this dealership to purchase a used EOS. I decided not to purchase. The sales manager Lonnie was so kind. I sent him follow up emails with questions, he replied immediately, even though I never made the purchase. I decided a week later to trade and purchase a new car. I bought a new EOS and dealt with Lattorin Robinson. Torri went above and beyond to assist me. His demeanor and professionalism was outstanding. I recommend anyone wanting to purchase, to ask for Torri. In a nutshell, I think many people are quick to complain, but never take the time to send a message as such.

Hearing many bad stories over the years about high pressuring salesmen that were not honest, I was quite weary. However, Peder was the complete opposite. He was honest, and extremely helpful. Had a great car buying experience working with Peder J. and Abe! Peder answered all of my questions with detailed and thorough knowledge and the whole process from test driving the car, paperwork and payment took no more than an hour (literally drove in and drove off the lot with a new Passat in about an hour). I had never done that before and it all worked out beautifully. I found the car that I have wanted for a long time and it couldn't have been easier. Ramsey was fantastic and very thorough throughout the new car buying process. I was treated to a no haggle price (via Brian) right at the start that the other dealership i was working with could not beat. Ramsey worked with me to get most of the car purchasing done remotely (via text and email), so i only had to spend minimal time on site to sign paper work which worked great with my busy schedule. John in finance was descriptive, quick, no frills and to the point; i was in and out of his office in minimal time. The level of service and attention to detail i received was much appreciated. Overall and A+ transaction all the way around. Would highly recommend.

Wale and John (finance) were fantastic. Instead of trying to get a sale that would most benefit him or his dealership, he really listened to my needs and got me the maximum bang for my buck. I was close to choosing a vehicle, when Wale was able to get me more options going with the brand new model for about the same monthly payment as a used one that I was interested in. Wale stayed until closing out in a bitter cold night answering my questions and asking questions to find out what I needed. I was not pressured into a sale that night and we set a time to meet in the morning. He was immediately available at our scheduled time. His honesty helped me to avoid a potential mistake with my own lapse in judgment the night before. We test drove another vehicle that morning with my two kids arguing in the back. Wale got them engaged in conversation and we all had a good time. John was very friendly and good with my hungry kids while completing the paperwork. I left VW very satisfied. I got the perfect vehicle for my needs and within my budget... and a very fair trade value for my 2004. My kids have a great memory of buying a new car with dad and they really like their CarFoxes. I will definitely be coming back here for my next vehicle!

We stopped at VW Of South Charlote to look at a used first vehicle for my teenager which we found on the Internet. Salesman Peder Jeppesen provided excellent customer service and assisted us with the details of the vehicle immediately as we arrived. The price was within the budget and the vehicle was in great condition. Peder and I exchanged contact information and the following day, we were back for the test drive. We had great conversation during the test drive which covered both in town and highway driving. After the test drive, we were sold. Peder prepared the paperwork and requested the vehicle detailed and soon we were on the highway with our new vehicle. Thanks VW of South Charlotte!! My teenager is "Super Excited"!!

My boyfriend and I drove to VW South Charlotte from Wilmington and worked with Wale. We had such a great experience. I don't think I have ever been treated or valued as a customer better. He took the time to figure out what I wanted and needed. Everyone was very nice and treated us very well. We got good vibes the whole time and we left very happy, it was worth the 3 and half hour drive there and back, they made it enjoyable for the both of us. I took my 2014 Jetta tdi for it's 60,000 mile service on Saturday, and could not be more pleased with the service provided by VW and Marcus Esteves in particular. My appointment was for 10am, but there were a lot of people who had arrived without appointments at around the same time, so I was thinking we would be in for a long wait, 70 minutes later we drove out, and the car had been washed as well. This level of service, allied to VERY competitve rates (way cheaper than the dealer I purchased the car from), means I will be using VW of Sourth Charlotte for all my servicing needs going forward.

Mike P and Mo and the entire team at VW South Charlotte are great! We just purchased our 3rd vehicle from this dealership (2nd car from Mike) and as both of our previous experiences were, our 3rd was wonderful as well. They have excellent customer service and strive to make every experience the best. We met the owner of the dealership and he was working just like everyone else and was extremely down to earth and personable, unlike many other owners we have previously met. Their service facility is extremely clean with exceptionally friendly staff. We never felt like we were being "sold" a car as Mike has always been honest with us about our options and directed us more like a friend. The process of buying a car was very good. The process was quick but the salesman, Michael McMorrow, never pushed or tried to rush me in any way. He explained everything to me very well and prepared all the paperwork in advance. By the time I went to pick the car, I drove it first. I was really great to drive it. Then, Michael started the process to fill out all the paperwork, and at the end, the financial manager finished the process with the loan application. Every thing went very smooth and quick. Michael helped me setting up a few things in the car and gave me an overview of the main features in the car. I am really glad I bought my car at this dealership. People at this dealership are very nice and experience. They do know what they are doing. They treat you with respect and courtesy.

Ramsey contacted me a couple weeks ago to see if I wanted to check out my options as my lease was going to be over in a few months. Because of my retirement plans for the future along with the specials VW South was having, I decided to check out what options were available to me.After discussion things with Ramsey, I left my 2013 Passat with them and took a new 2016 Passat home. I told Ramsey at the onset I didn't have a lot of time. He worked out a deal that I could live with, got me through finance and out the door in three hours in my new car. Ramsey did not pressure me in any way. He presented me with what my options would be at this point. He was extremely patient with every one of my 257 questions. He told finance I was close to the end of the time I had to spend there and Kent got me through finance really fast. I didn't have to wait to go into finance and he had every document ready. He explained clearly, everything I needed to know.I went back the next morning and Ramsey spent a long time showing me every bell and whistle and how to work them. No rushing, no attitude as I re-asked the same question, just expert instruction on how to operate every button and dial.I love doing business with VW South Charlotte. I can't imagine every going to any other dealer. I have recommended VW South Charlotte to anyone that would listen. I will definitely recommend Ramsey as a great sales person to work with. I leased a Jetta from VW of South Charlotte for 3 years and never had any problems. My salesman was great then, and the service department has always been wonderful. My lease was coming to an end and I decided to purchase this time. My salesman, John Jones, was fantastic and really listened to every request I had. Brian, the sales manager was great to work with as well. It was never stressful. Even Luke, in the finance department was a pleasure to work with. I can not recommend this dealership enough.

I bought my jetta about two weeks ago and I love it. the service was great and they gave me a great trade in on my crappy old car plus an extra $2000 for a special they have. I had a surprise flat THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT IT but thanks to some extra coverage I was talked into, my car was towed to them and the tire was replaced for FREE!! Couldn't ask for better customer service.

This is the third VW dealership I have done business with, the first two were in Maryland. Volkswagen of South Charlotte was by far the best experience of the three. From the first phone call, to the last signature, then leaving the lot, it was amazing. I felt assured the entire time that they actually were there to help me and give me what I thought was fair. I am a long time VW owner and have purchased vehicles at several vehicles at VW dealerships in the metro Atlanta area. I could not find what I really wanted locally but I did find the vehicle at VW of South Charlotte. I drove 500 miles round trip (7+ hours) through rotten traffic to this dealership BUT it was WELL WORTH the trip. I was treated as though I was a long time customer there ... my Sales Associate (Omowale) couldn't have been more helpful, his associate (Ken) made me feel like an old friend, the Sales Manager went out of his way to ensure the deal went though, and Luke Parker (Finance Manager) made the sometimes overwhelming process of signing the paperwork quite pleasant.Overall, I am very pleased with my experience and I highly recommend purchasing any VW product at VW of South Charlotte. Car buying should be fun, right? Well, I have purchased 19 vehicles in my life and the 17 previous times it was not fun at all. But my most recent purchase of a 2015 Passat Limited for my son at Volkswagen of South Charlotte was exceptional. We had looked at 2 other dealers previously that day and were just stopping in to validate our belief that we had already decided on another vehicle at a different dealer. That is when we met Kent. Kent is very passionate about Volkswagen and it showed. I told him what vehicles we were considering and that we were already close to a decision. I also told him that I don't haggle and I don't want to waste any time. He assured me that they didn't do business that way. I told him what we wanted and he said we needed to see the Passat Limited and we would likely change our mind. He was right. Looking to replace my 2000 VW Passat and went to several VW and other dealerships. Salesman Moe Borno helped me at VW of South Charlotte and went out of his way to find me a used car. No luck on what I was wanting used as color was not available but this dealership does carry a nice inventory of used cars as well. Believe it or not Moe was the only salesperson at several VW dealerships who suggested perhaps a new car. Bottom line ended up this dealership worked out a great deal which yes was more expensive than the used cars I had reviewed on line and at other dealerships but not that much more. Went from looking for a 2012 VW Passat TDI SEL to buying a new one. Awesome car with the turbo diesel. Just had a business trip to Atlanta, round trip 475 miles, 50.7 miles/gal. Moe was patient with me as I had a million questions in the buying process. No pressure guy just works to provide what you want. Last car purchased was many years ago and I found this to be a very pleasant experience. Before I bought the car asked some customers who were waiting on their cars being serviced how they viewed the dealership's service department and their overall experience with the dealership. Received very positive responses and with a fairly new and modern dealership including amenities while you wait on car servicing this appears to be a hard dealership to beat.

I took my car in to get serviced and was already thinking about a trade. VW was offering a lease pay off to entice customers to lease of purchase a 2015 as the 2016's were arriving soon. First let me say my old car was serviced my Matt. He was very professional and informative. He actually told me of the lease special. Mo was the person who helped get me into a new car.. He worked hard for a better price and I felt like I walked away with a fair price as well as a reasonable monthly payment. The car also had all the bells and whistles. The transfer process was quick and I left with a much better car than I arrived ..This VW dealership has always been wonderful to me. All were true to form with my experience. This was a great experience. I was a first time car buyer, and after doing my research had a good idea of what car would fit my range and requirements. Spiros walked me through the options within my range and desired models and took a good test drive. After the drive, we talked through pricing options and gave me a great deal.The manager and finance team made the paperwork very easy and offered a great rate to buy.I would absolutely recommend VW of South Charlotte. If you do your homework and come in with a good idea of what you want, they will make it happen. As a general statement, I wish more cars had manual transmission but I know I'm in the minority on that.

This past weekend I had the enjoyment of purchasing my very first Volkswagen. The car buying experience is not something I was looking forward too, however it was time. Very disappointed in our used car purchase at Volkswagen of South Charlotte, I will not be going back nor will I be recommending this dealership to anyone I know. The battery on the car was bad for starters, and when I called to inquire about it, they just kept telling me they would call back and never did. On the second day the vehicle would not even start, so I took it to get the battery tested. The tester at the auto shop said the battery was bad, and had been for a while, so they obviously did not replace it and/or test it. Also the mechanic stated that the dealership was mostly likely not answering or calling back because they knew if they waited a day longer we would not be able to bring the car back. I do not know if NC has a rescission law (depends on who you talk to it seems) but lo and behold, they would finally talk to me after the three day period. There answer was they would not replace the battery since they did not 'make enough money' on the sale of the car to us. I understand that used cars are mostly 'as-is,' but come on! They knew the battery was bad and since they did not make enough money on us, they will not even come to the table to make this right. I asked to speak to the used car manager, and the first answer I got was he is too busy buying cars on an auction site to talk to you. When I finally convinced them to transfer me, the sales manager was not even interested in the conversation. He stated that he would get back to me personally (presumable after his used car action was done), but 20 minutes later he had the sales man call me back and reiterate that they cannot do anything because they did not 'make enough money on the deal.'The buying experience was not the best either. They advertised the car for one price, and when we went in to test drive and draw up the paperwork they tried adding on over $2,200. Typical used car sales tactics I know, but it was the way they tried sneaking it in that irked me. They wouldn't have even told my wife that amount before finalizing everything, I specifically had to tell the sales man 'Moe' to stop and get the final price and bring it back to us on paper. Even then, he hesitated and made it seem like we were inconveniencing him by asking for the totals. If you want to deal with shady salesmen maneuvers from dealer, well this is the place for you it seems. Even more unfortunate is the fact that the dealership seemed to have better than average reviews, guess the joke is on us.

We were in the market for a pre-owned vehicle for our daughter before she heads out to grad school in August. We found a car online that appealed to us. We made a phone call and inquired. For the next week we communicated by e-mail with VW South Charlotte to gather further information on the car and reach an agreement on price. During this process Michael McMorrow and Colvis ? were very helpful in getting the information I requested. We are 235 miles away from the car lot. The is always some concern until you lay eyes on the car. Upon arriving we met Mr. McMorrow and he showed us the vehicle. The car had been cleaned thoroughly. The appearance of the car met all my expectations. The test drive went well also. There was some delay in taking care on the transaction due to a high volume of business at the dealership this day. However Mr. McMorrow and finance manager Abe Asmer were very professional in handling all the necessary paperwork. I would rate the car purchase experience as a very good one.

LOVED THIS DEALERSHIP! Walked in having no expectations and was blown away. Great reliable cars, great salesmen (LOVE KWASI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), great atmosphere and decor...SO happy with my purchase (got a certified used Jetta SEL that looked brand new both inside and out).They weren't as willing to go down on the price (took off $100) but I honestly felt bad to ask for it any lower than what it was priced at, given the excellent shape of the car. I had previously spoken to Kwasi about another car while waiting for serving on my 2006 Passet. We have spoken several times but never pressured me into making a sell. After a year of problems with Passet, decided to contact him on purchasing another certified car. He gave me options on the lease program since I have retired and not on the road as much and after explaining the lease option, decided to go for a lease. I am glad he explained it to me because this works better for me. I am very very pleased with him giving me the courtesy of contacting me periodically but gave me the space to contact him when I was ready. My daughter and I both have owned Volkswagen vehicles for a number of years. Thank you for your help in making this a smooth transition.

It's pretty obvious that buyers are looking for a great deal, and even better customer service. As a first time buyer who was EXTREMELY reluctant of walking into a dealership, I have to say that I'm happy I chose this one to walk into. Of course 95% of my negotiating was done via email but Kent (my salesman) was great at communicating. Consistency is key with me. Sharing with him my frustration with other dealers (Keffer Mazda, and Mazda of South Charlotte), he was patient and upfront. Kent got me down to an interest significantly lower than where I was any where else and helped me get me to be where I wanted! Picked up my car today. I love it, and I'm so happy I chose VW of South Charlotte! Would recommend to anyone.

I bought my first car at VW South Charlotte and from the moment I walked in to the moment I left it was a great experience. Everyone was friendly, knowledgable and most importantly passionate! I didn't feel like I was being sold a car I felt like the cars features, safety and brand sold itself. After looking for a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 or Chevy Silverado for over a month and trying to decide on the right one, i found myself at VSC. I typically dislike the car buying experience and salesmen in general. I had the pleasure of working with Michael McMorrow. I had already been to 4 other dealerships over the course of two weekends and Mike was by far the best. He sat quietly in the back seat letting me hear the truck and didnt hound me at all into buying the truck. He was the only dealer who didnt constantly stress how great of a vehicle it was and the usual spills. In his office he had no problem talking about personal stories with my fiance and I even after the deal was already made and he had the sale. All in all i would really go back to Mike to purchase a vehicle. Even if it's not a VW.

Went to VW of South Charlotte looking for a good used car. The web site had a particular car that we were interested in and Moe Borno our sales rep was most helpful. We had a brief discussion about a used Passat on Thursday and due to time constraints was able to make an appointment for Saturday morning. Moe had the car pulled off the line and washed ready for our test drive.Test drive was great and Moe answered all of our questions and added his personal experience with the Passat model. Darren Addonisio the sales manager came by to check if there were any questions but gave Moe a lot of room. Car was what we were looking for and the buying steps went very easy with no high pressure. After agreeing on a price Moe put us with Abe Asmer for title, registration and a review of the warranty.Everyone we dealt with were very professional and courteous. This was my 2nd experience at VWSC and again walked away very impressed. I had purchased a new Jetta Hybrid in 2013 and was very happy with my purchase. However I had received an email asking if I would be interested in trading it in for something newer or possibly refinancing. I made an appointment with Michael McMorrow and told him right away that I was perfectly happy with my Hybrid and that I was basically there to see what my options were. Michael was excellent - he took his time to explain to me the advantages of keeping my car vs. trading it in and we even discussed the pros and cons of leasing vs. buying. I was honestly spoiled after having the Hybrid because of the excellent fuel economy and comfortable drive in the car. We test drove a Jetta TDI and in all honesty I didn't notice any differences in the feel of the car and the features were comparable to the Hybrid. However this was more about the "bucket list" type of car for me if I was going to make a switch. Michael worked his magic and I ended up with a car that far exceeded my expectations and Abe in finance made sure I got the best financing possible. I am very happy with my new Jetta TDI and will definitely continue to be a repeat customer of VWSC.

My first visit here was on a whim. First time car buyer as well. The visit to this dealership was surprisingly comfortable and low-pressure compared to my previous experiences with dealerships. What contributed to my purchase of a car here was the atmosphere. Matt Hettel made it amazingly lax when we were talking about price points, warranties, etc. I felt the decisions I made were in confidence and were comfortable. I didn't feel pressure in the sense that I was being rushed to a decision. I don't believe I was put in a position that I would regret in the future. Overall, the friendly atmosphere made the stress of buying a new car less so.

My wife and I bought a cc vw with a clean car fax but the dealer new the car was hit. As we drove home the car sat in the sun and you could see where it had body work done. I brought it up to the dealer and told them. They said that they would redo the body work. They should have given us a full refund for being dishonest. This dealer also charges for tire rotations while most other VW dealers do not.

I purchased a 2015 VW Passat on 05/01/15 from VW of South Charlotte. I had been trying to find a Passat SE with white exterior and cornsilk/titan black interior and finally found exactly what I wanted at VW of South Charlotte. My husband contacted the dealership and talked with Darren Addonisio. Darren was very knowledgeable about the vehicle we wanted and was very helpful in our final decision on the purchase. We spoke with him several times and were pleased with the deal we were able to make on the price of the vehicle. I drove from Greeneville, TN to pick up my new vehicle where Michael Passaro was waiting with paperwork ready to sign. I was very impressed with Michael as he was eager to answer any questions I might have. He also give me a tour of the dealership and introduced me to everyone. He did an excellent job of showing me how to operate all the gadgets on my new vehicle and also included some interesting history about Volkswagen. I typically don't write reviews, but after my experience at VW of South Charlotte, I felt compelled to do so! Hands down, this is the best dealership I have ever dealt with. They make you feel like a person, and express interest in what you actually want, instead of looking at you like a dollar sign. It started by me browsing the internet, looking for a new car. I found a vw that I was interested in, submitted my info, and was off to the races. I had a phone call the next morning, and set up an appointment to talk numbers and see the car. On a whim I went in a day before my appointment, to get some general information. Matt stepped up and helped me as if he was getting the sale, even though my consultant was Kent McClure. The whole process was spectacular. I came back to meet Kent , look at the car, and start talking numbers. Kent was awesome. Low pressure, personable, professional, and really helped me get the vehicle that I wanted. He immediately went to work with his finance team, getting me a lower apr that I even expected. ( this was on their own fruition, as I had already agreed to a set apr. They actually got me a better deal that what I expected without even asking them to.) That really sunk in to me that they actually are about the driver, and customer service. Buying the car was fast and easy. They had everything set up before I got there, took care of the plates, and I was out the door in under an hour with my new car. I was very late to my appointment, and Kent McClure stayed way past his scheduled time just to make sure that everything went well, and to thank me. 3 weeks into owning the car , I have received follow ups from them making sure that everything is going well and that I am enjoying the car. I had to take the car to get a headlight changed, and they got me right in , and the service team was as awesome as the sales team. Being that I am in service industry myself, I thought they deserved to get a great review, seeing as they deserve it. A big " thanks " to the whole VW of south Charlotte team, and a special thanks to Kent McClure for being awesome. Happy anniversary , by the way! My advice to you? Recently, and very unexpectedly I found myself in need of a new vehicle in an unfamiliar city. A friend suggested I start the process of finding one by talking to Ramsey at Volkswagen of South Charlotte; best decision I ever made. Ramsey patiently listened while I explained my needs and concerns and I never felt pressured or rushed. He was knowledgeable and professional as well as warm and friendly. After test driving a Tiguan I knew it was the car for me. Ramsey then left me in the very capable hands of Brittney to do the paperwork. She was quick and efficient and went above and beyond by making phone calls to find out how I could keep the personalized license plate I've had for more than 20 years. Then it was back to Ramsey to show me how everything on the car worked. He assured me that he and the dealership's service department will be there for me in the coming years and off I went. The next day I went back to drop off paperwork so they could get my personalized license plate for me. I dealt with the Asmar brothers and they too were professional and friendly. My entire experience from start to finish was pleasant and I highly recommend Ramsey and Volkswagen of South Charlotte.

I had a Beetle convertible several years ago and missed it. Stopped in to VW of So. Charlotte on Saturday just to take a look at the new Beetle design. I was immediately greeted by Casey Skrhak, who I later learned had only been on the job about a week. She immediately assessed my needs and likes in a car and brought around the prettiest little sky blue convertible for me to test drive. It's a sweet car and I am impressed with the pick up the 4 cylinder engine has! With the help of her manager, Darren Addonisio, we made a deal and I drove the Beetle home that day. I needed better gas mileage without losing power and so I was looking at used TDIs. After being helped by Wale and his support staff...why isn't his name and picture up here yet!? Wale and Darren and Mo and Abe and SOOO many others treated me like family and above all a valued customer. Not only did I drive away in a new 2015 jetta instead of a used one, but it was fully loaded the way I wanted, the right colors and set up all shipped from 3 hours away. Not just shipped, they DROVE it up the next day! They knew my needs as a student and found some how that my payment went down and I only increased the value of my car not to mention my 52 mpg on the way home on highway/city mixed driving. The car is amazing and I have no doubts that IF a problem arose that they would waste no time in fixing it. Be sure and ask your salesman about the sock group lol. Seriously this dealership was like one huge family experience and I never felt like my time was being wasted. Even when I knew I was being "sold" something it wasn't a sales pitch but in fact a custom mold made specifically for me. Truly amazing and I will shop and deal with this great establishment for years to come, don't go changing ladies and gents!

Spiros greeted us and helped my wife and I look at and test drive the Golf GTI's. He was never pushy. On top of that, he really knows his stuff. He was very informative and knowledgeable about several of their models and their specific features. Everyone was so nice and we closed with Abe. Everybody was laid back and happy to help us. We bought a 2013 Volkswagon Golf GTI and love it! We will definitely be back to buy another car.

We recently bought a 2013 Passat SEL for our son. The majority of the sale was done by Kwasi Asante-Ansong, however we looked at cars with Ramsey who was helpful. My comments are more geared toward Kwasi as he was who I started out with. He was honest, patient and really cared that the experience was pleasant for me. I think what most impressed me about Kwasi was when he told my son to call him first if anything went wrong with the car or if he had any questions. He spent time going over all the features of the car and said to text him any questions and in two weeks my son should come back to the dealership and he would go over everything again. I would go back and by another car from him in a heartbeat! Kwasi thank you!

The worse service !!!! I have had my car serviced here several times. This last time was the worse 12/1/14. They charged me for services NOT rendered. I was still having the same problem I have been complaining about the last 3x's I brought my Jetta in. After they charged me all these fees and problem remained I contacted EUROWISE. They were professional, friendly, quick, concerned with fixing the problem and sent pictures of defected part. Real customer service. They informed me the work VW did the day before was not done. I was not surprised . EUROWISE ordered the parts from VW to fix my car. Thanks VW !

I found the best customer service in town the day I walked in the VW South showroom to check out the Beetles. I had just left a dealership where the sales person was over bearing and pushing all the time. Jay Wallace was great, he took the time to listen to what I wanted and was not pushing the sales. He worked with me on my trade-in and I was pleasantly surprise on the cost. I was able to get a used Beetle at a price I was happy with. Abe Asmar was great with the financing, explained all the paperwork as we went along never rushing thru the process. With the team of Jay and Abe I was able to get the car I wanted that day and have been very pleased every day when I step into my car and start the engine. Days after the sale Jay called to follow up on the sales and see if I had any questions.What a nice car buying experience!! Thank you VW South for such a great team!!!

I must say I was very impressed and grateful to the dedication and ethics of working with everyone at VW South Charlotte. My wives 2002 VW blew the head gasket in late August. The VW only had 108K miles and to say I was rather upset by the entire situation was an understatement. My wife and I had just closed on a brand new home in April so the last thing we needed was a new car payment. After consulting the maintenance department, I felt we would be better off replacing her car and leasing a new one. Thats when Spiro stepped in and worked with me to secure a great deal on a lease and even take the old broken down car off our hands. I was able to get my wife the car she wanted a 2014 Jetta SW with Connectivity, trade-in the old car, and walk out the door with nothing but owing our first lease payment! My wife absolutely loves her new car and I am even thinking or dropping my loyalty to Honda for a new 2015 VW Passat. My husband and I had been in the market for a used truck for about 3 weeks. We had not had any luck with any of the dealerships we had visited earlier. I ran across an advertisement from Volkswagen of South Charlotte. After work we drove to the dealership to check out the truck. Kwasi was recommended to me by a friend in the biz. He exceeded all expectations! Despite fact he was slammed with clients and unable to meet me as planned, he set me up with Hayden for a test drive and initial introduction. Hayden was incredibly nice and helpful......amazing for less than 2 weeks on the job. This young man has a bright future! First with the less-than-great. I truly don't find the car-buying process very pleasant. The process at this dealership where I recently bought a used minivan was nothing to change that reality. Negotiations are stressful and I don't feel like the result was quite equitable for both sides. In addition, having to negotiate with an added "fee" tacked on by the dealer for who-knows-what starts the buyer at a clear disadvantage. However, I do believe I got a good vehicle from their used car lot that will provide my family with reliable transportation. The overall experience was good (relatively speaking) because of the customer service i received from Kwasi. He seemed like a genuinely nice person to work with and when I needed to get my rental car to the airport after the vehicle purchase and the shuttle was falling through he was willing to make the round trip with me using his own car.

I went to the dealership on Sunday, May 25th just to look around & I was met by Spiros Dedis. I was interested in buying another EOS convertible(last one purchased from VW of S. Charlotte new in 2008). Spiros took all the time I needed, was never pushy & was with me from start to finish. I walked out with a another EOS(used, but only 16,000 miles) & as he said I was grinning from ear to ear. Since this car had more upgrades than my old EOS, Spiros took the time to walk through all the features until I felt comfortable with them. Since I bought my last EOS in 2008 I've mainly dealt with the Service Department & they have always been excellent & it's nice to see that the sales team is equally as good. I also dealt with Allen, your new Finance Manager & even new, he was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. I would highly recommend not only the dealership, but the entire staff.

He listened to my requirements for a new car and thoroughly explained the features of the TDI and SEL models before I test drove each. It was obvious that he not only knew the features of these vehicles but was enthusiastic about them. Before the test drives, he again went over the adjustments and controls, and picked a useful route including highway and local streets.When the TDI was delivered, he again went over the controls, answered my questions and helped me pair my cellphone and set up Car-net.He has always been courteous and pleasant to work with, and even came in to the dealership on his day off to make sure that the minor paint touchup and another minor service issue were properly done. He has been the best car salesman that I have ever had!

I have been to this servicing center 3 times. All of my experiences at this location have been bad. The LAST visit was horrible. I say last because I will not be back again. The first time I went I didnt think much of it, because I don't excpect exceptional service everywhere I go. The second time I went for a issue that was suppose to be resolved the first time. They wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee, although it was a result of their neglience. My last visit I was going for a 100,000 mile service check up. Once I was given the quote I told them I would come back on Monday (the day being Thursday) the representative asked me "Is it money issues? If so you can tell me. You dont have to be embarrased" I thought of this as highly disrepectful. That is a company that does not derseve my business at all. I asked for the manager, I didnt get that either, Although after looking at these pictures of the employees, I now realize that he was sitting right at his desk while he allowed someone else to deal with this absurd situation. This is a business that does not value their customers at all!!

I have been getting my 2012 VW Jetta serviced here for quite some time. The service department is well staffed and efficient with regard to intake, advising a customer of required service, keeping wait time to a minimum and knowledge. While waiting, I took a little time to go out and look at the inventory and was greeted by Spiros. Although, I"m not currently in the market for a new vehicle, I appreciate Spiros taking the time to show me some of the affordable models should I decide to get a 2nd vehicle. I had a major service appointment today and knew the 80k appointment would take some time. (yes..you read that right....87k on a two year old car!.....what can I say....I like driving!). The waiting area is clean, comfortable, and makes the waiting tolerable. I highly recommend the VW of South Charlotte for service and should I decide to get another VW soon, I will return to this location and see Spiros.

We had set out that day with an appointment at another dealership (not Volkswagen) and the person we had the appointment with was very rude, so we left. We had been seeing the commercials for the VW Passat TDI and the great fuel mileage, so we stopped on our way back home. We said we were just going to look. We were greeted by a salesman almost immediately...our first impression was a very good one. He, Kwasi, was very polite and knowlegable of the cars on the their lot. Any questions we had, he answered right away. We fell in love with the first car we test drove and we drove away in it that night. He has since followed up with us asking if we are pleased with our purchase. He gave us his personal cell phone number and we are able to text him with any questions about the car, which works out great. This car has so many features that we discover something new almost every day. I would recommend anyone to this dealership and definitely recommend that they speak to Kwasi.

When I stepped into the service center almost a year ago to have my 2003 yellow VW Beetle Conv serviced I was super duper down on my luck and frustrated to no end due to the prospective issues I was told that I had with my car. Going through this process was at this point had me DEPRESSED!! I didn't know what I was going to do and didn't want to assume a new or higher car payment then I was already paying, however, it was if as Kwasi came to my rescue wth a "Super Man VW" cape on. He introduced himself and pulled me from the service desk as I was discussing the amount of the cost of repair with Joerg to see where he could help as I could tell he sensed the frustration and disappointment on my face as Joerg advised me of how much money I'd need to kick out to keep my lady bug alive. After pulling me to the side, he threw on his MASTER SUPER save a damsel in distress cape and went to work. He went "hard in the paint" for me to see how at the least he could get me into a new car considering my current situation with my car. We chatted and test drove a few cars. I told him...WHAT I WANTED versus the cars that I test drove. He left from his desk, told me he would be right back, he came back, we walked outside and he told me everything there was to know about German engineering and introduced me to "My Lil Red Lady". We test drove the car...on the way back to the dealership I told him "I love it" and the rest is history from that point. He worked as best on his behalf to make things as smooth as possible and a few days later the car was ready for me to pick up. The VW team was awesome all around. I can honestly say that this is possibly the best car buying experiences I've ever had and Kwasi was amazing and is an amazing guy. He if nothing else made this experience TOP notch and a standard to follow as far as I'm concerned and I am proud to say that he is "MY SALES GUY" and I'd refer him to anyone looking for an extremely knowledgeable, personable and customer/sales driven associate. He gets a 10 in my book any day!! THANKS Kwasi and the VW Charlotte South Team!

I was bringing in my wife's 2012 Passat for its 30K mile service. While on my way to the waiting area, noticed the convertible EOS on the showroom floor. There was also a 2013 Passat for a little under $20K. Not long after discussing the vehicle, I was driving away in the Passat leaving behind my '98 Audio A6 Quattro. Spiros made the entire process easy with no hassle. I wish I needed more cars because I would've bought more! I am definitely a fan of Spiros and VW of South Charlotte!!!

What originally attracted me to VW of South Charlotte was the service department. My wife and I also own a 2007 VW Jetta. This car has needed various service items over the past four years since moving to the Carolina's. John Schmidt has been very detailed, patient and fair assessing the repair needs of our older VW. When it came time to purchase a new car for my wife, I knew where we would purchase. In my initial new car search, I met Spiros Dedis. I did not purchase initially, but Spiros followed up with me via email in a kind, courteous manner. I like the fact that he was persistent in providing me with the information I required to make a Todd buying decision, but did NOT provide undue pressure to buy. We went back to the dealership on 3-30-14 to purchase and Spiros was busy with four other customers. He was able to pass us over to another salesman named J. Wallace. Mr. Wallace was extremely helpful, accommodating and professional. My wife and I both appreciated his humorous and approachable demeanor. All in all, this was a quick and painless buying experience. We met and were greeted by the Sales Manager, Moe Asmar who should be proud to have such an excellent and qualified sales force at his disposal. The financial transaction was completed by Illan Leviev, who provided a quick and seemless transaction.

This is our second purchase of a VW from this dealership and from David Brown in the past two years. We have purchased a new 2012 Passat TDI Sel Premium as well as a new 2014 Pasat TDI Sel Premium. In the first purchase this was the only dealership we visited as the cars were harder to find in 2012 but with this purchase for my wife's primary vehicle we did shop around with another dealer as well as through the Costco Auto Program with a third dealer. While price is always a concern as it was with us we also value relationships with a company and a salesman. In this case the relationship and price decision were very easy, after working with the other two dealerships it was clear that they would not be able to come close to the price we were given from David and VW South Charlotte. That along with the past relationship made our decision very easy. When we went to make the purchase David was off that day but he had already spoken with another salesperson Mazen Tutah who was prepared and more than willing to help us with the purchase which he did with great care and professionalism. I have also used this dealer for service work (routine maintenance) with my 2012 and had nothing but solid experiences with all of the service staff.

My time with the Finance dept was superb, I have not met a more professional friendly sales team in all my car buying experiences. My wife has bought two Volkswagon's from this dealership and we were there for a check of her battery when I spotted a Golf I liked. I had originally planned to wait and purchase a 2015 Golf due to all the great reviews it has received, but when I saw a 2012 Golf with very low mileage and in superb condition, it was a no brainer. I previously had a 1972 Super Beetle and now I am back with Volkswagon for life. Everyone should be driving a South Charlotte Volkswagon. My wife and I bought a used Touareg from Volkswagen of South Charlotte recently. Our sales person was great! He was both friendly and knowledgeable, the kind of person I want to do business with. But once we came to an agreement on the price, things took a turn of the worse. The wait to meet with the finance manager was excruciatingly long. Then, it was not until we were in his office did we get the information that there was no remaining manufactures warranty on this vehicle - a piece of information that should have been made clear to us early on in the process. In his attempt to sell us an expensive extended warranty, the finance manager all but said the Touareg was an unreliable car, prone to constant minor repairs like replacing the water pump, a repair which would cost literally thousands of dollars. Both my wife and I couldn't believe how this man made out the very product he makes his livelihood selling to be a piece of garbage. We seriously considered leaving at that point, but the research I had done up to this point contradicted his negative statements about the car. The over selling of the extended warranty was a very negative experience for us, but beyond that the finance manager was professional. This dealership has a good reputation with friends who have bought from them before, and I trust that our experience was a bit out of the ordinary for them. I'll continue to have my Touareg serviced there, and maybe buy from them again. But I now know to be very cautious.

Spiros Dedis helped me through the whole process of purchasing my new Volkswagon Passat. His customer service and friendliness was excellent. He went above and beyond with his quality of work, other car salesmen I have worked with in the past did not have the same kind of work ethic. Spiros made it about my satisfaction in my purchase rather than "just a sale". After spending time with me going over the features of the car, he did the same for my wife with just as much quality to his work. My wife came to the dealership after work, and I had already signed papers to purchase the car. The deal was done and still Spiros showed her the car from top to bottom, which ensured us both that we would be satisfied with our purchase. Another employee, Elon (financing), was also very helpful in lowering our interest rate on the car so that we were even more happy with our purchase. Our family has four drivers now. After inheriting two older cars from my parents, we were getting sick and tired of the repairs they required to keep them running. We also were fearful of the safety ramifications of our youngest daughter getting stuck in one of the old "clunkers". So, we opted for a new vehicle. We looked all around, and were happy to find a great deal on a 2013 Golf at Volkswagen of South Charlotte. The dealership is close to our house in south Charlotte, and the people there were very friendly and easy to deal with. We actually tossed in one of the "clunkers" at the last minute, and VW of South Charlotte was happy to work it into a trade in for us. We truly felt like we were the priority and we got a good, reliable car in the process. It is our first VW, so we'll be evaluating how we like it over the next several years in terms of reliability, service, etc.

I recently sent my car into a repair shop to get fixed after someone hit my car in a parking lot and left the scene. The "Shop" fixed the bumper but left the wheel bent and car undrivable! So, I had my car towed to VW of South Charlotte and they fixed it right away. John Keating, the Service Advisor, called me daily to keep me informed as to the progress of the repair which I really appreciated. After what I had been through it was nice to know someone cared. I felt comfortable as this was my first experience with VW of South Charlotte. I will definitely be back for future service.

We weren't sure what car we were looking for when we pulled on the lot but Matt was so knowledgable and patient as I looked at, drove, and asked questions about the various models. He was very intuitive, listening to what I liked about each vehicle and showing me others that met my criteria until we found the perfect car.I liked the whole process, being able to see the finance guys and business offices. Superior customer service! We were driving through from Ty Ty, Georgia and stop to spend the night in Charlotte. We saw the VW dealership and went by to take a look. We were greeted by Kwasi. It was my daughters sweet 16 Bday! Kwasi made my daughter one happy girl by finding her the awesome black beetle we purchased. Top notch customer service. Bagels, cream cheese, coffee, hot chocolate. A sterling, no hassle buying experience! Matt, Kent and Mo exhibited sincere concern and willingness to do whatever was necessary to render me the satisfied customer I am today. Since 2001, I had dealt primarily with the service team for scheduled maintenance on my former 2001 VW Beetle purchased elsewhere. When traded recently, my 2001 Beetle had close to 200K miles on it and was still performing well which is not only a tribute to the brand, but the service team as well. I would like to point out that since Mark Cohen became the GM, I noticed a significant change and improvement upon how the customer is treated when visiting his dealership. Matt Hettel exhibited superb product knowledge in acquainting me with the features and operation of my 2013 VW R-Line Beetle. He willingly programmed the car radio and navigation system thereby eliminating the step by step procedures I would have had to follow using the owner's manual. In a nutshell, the car was completely prepped and ready in all aspects for ME the new owner. It doesn't get any better than this!

I purchased my first car at Volkswagen of South Charlotte earlier this week and just let me say that I can't imagine having a more satisfying customer experience. Ramsey Anabtawi was my sales consultant and he was such a pleasure to work with (and look at! ;-) ). From the outset of meeting, Ramsey listened closely to my wants and needs. My CAR wants and needs, that is! (Get your minds out of the gutter, people! ;-) ) He clearly wasn't concerned with selling me the newest, most expensive car (I test drove one of those), but rather the best car (solution) for me (which is what I ended up with). Ramsey also wasn't in a hurry; he took the time to meet, listen and answer all of my questions. The dealership's sales manager and finance manager were equally committed to getting me in the car I wanted at a price I could afford. Having already spoken with Ramsey and a few other folks at the dealership several times since making my car purchase, I'm also convinced that this relationship isn't going to be a one-night stand. Mr. John Schmidt who I initially went into Volkswagen of South Charlotte to speak in reference to a window repair. Mr. Schmidt who greeted me with a friendly, "Hello what can I help you with?" After I explained to Mr. Schmidt what the problem was seemed to be very concerned. Mr. Schmidt who has great customer service was fast and prompt with helping me, getting me in and out. Mr. Schmidt then asked me if I needed a ride home. You can't get better customer better than that!!!!! Which of coarse I did.... :) Mr. Schmidt then introduced me to Mr. Gunnar Jonasson who as well was very caring and professional who transported me back to my resident. I would like too as well recognize Mr. Louie forgive I don't recall his last name, who was helpful. I was struggling getting my belongings out the trunk of my vehicle . Mr. Louie didn't hesitate one bit to come to my aid and help me take my belongs out of one vehicle and put them in another vehicle. I can appreciate him as well!!!! "Great Team Work." I recently purchased a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta for my son and actually found out that there are true customer friendly dealerships still out there. Ralph Blum, sales representative, is an absolutely fantastic salesperson! He never pressured us into anything, he worked diligently to get us the price we wanted and got it. Then it was time for the dreaded finance manager, so I thought. Moe Asmar, finance director, was outstanding. He didn't pressure you into anything you didn't want, he explained everything that needed to be explained to us. What a great dealership! Please stop buy before you buy your next vehicle an experience a true professional dealership! Volkswagen Of South Charlotte is the only dealership I would recommend. They let you take your time selecting your vehicle, and do not try to persuade you into something different. They value their customers and it shows. The showroom is very clean and everyone is so friendly. Even during construction, there still was nothing I could complain about. The waiting area is always stocked with refreshments to make you more comfortable during your visit! I love these guys and girls! They are absolutely the best around!

I visited 10 dealerships representing 9 different car makers as I worked through my car options. I visited this particular dealership three separate times prior to negotiating my purchase. In all my interactions with this dealership their behavior was friendly, professional, and without evidence of pressure. While I was well prepared for the negotiation, their demeanor throughout was courteous and again without pressure to complete a deal. My sense was that they were genuinely concerned that each of us was satisfied with the final contract. I was very pleased with the conduct and knowledge of my primary salesperson (David Brown) and with the management personnel that I came into contact with. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others.

This was hands down my best car buying experience ever. We went to VW of South Charlotte to look at an Acura MDX for my wife. We parked next to the car in the lot and our salesman Abe Asmar came out and offered help within 5 minutes of our arrival, and even though it was an Acura he was extremely knowledgeable about the car. This was also the first time my wife has ever picked out the car that she wanted, and was already feeling overwhelmed about the experience after visiting other dealerships. Abe was excellent at listening to her and answering her questions, as well as showing all of the features and details of the car to her. We wanted to trade in her current vehicle as well, and Abe had the trade in evaluated and inspected while we were test driving the Acura, and it was finished by the time we returned.Overall we got a great deal and an a good value for our trade. Abe was very professional, prompt, and courteous during the whole transaction, and really took the anxiety and pressure out of buying a car. I would highly recommend him again.Thanks for a Great Experience Abe!

Volkswagen of south Charlotte made leasing a car a pleasure, every experience from being greeted at the door to being informed of how to work the cruise control was done with knowledge, experience, and a smile. As far a friendliness I would go back just to hang out with the sales floor, the warm bodies of living human beings that care about what they do, sure made me feel more comfortable. Price was the final sale and the icing on the cake. I was given and I earned an affordable rate monthly that was too good to walk away from. It truely was a pleasure to buy my first Volkswagen, oh and did mention the car rocks also, they didn't force me into something under a pressure situation. Volkswagen of South Charlotte allowed me to be relaxed and given me options for the best decision for me and my family.

Promises made verbally and shown to you on paper can and in my case were backed out of by VW of South Charlotte. When you try to hold them accountable they pull out another form that says they aren't liable. This is not my first car I have purchased so I asked very direct questions. The F&I Director acknowledges (Moe) that I was given the wrong information on the wrong state forms but they refuse to honor thier word or make it right. And the scratch they promised to fix still has not been. They had the car for a week but that wasn't enough time to repair it. BEWARE!

I was happy to find the dealership open on Sunday. When my daughter and I entered the lobby was pleasant and everyone was very nice. We had to wait for a sales person but not for very long. Our sales person was Ramsey Anabtawi. What a really nice guy. He listened to what I was looking for made some suggestions. We made a couple of test drives, ran some numbers. Negotiations were painless. He came back one time I did not except the offer, the manager immediately came out and we made a deal. It was simple, no going back and forth, very painless. The finance director Moe Asmar really new his stuff. This was really the best experience I've ever had buying a car. Not to mention the free tshirt!! We were there pretty late and kept these guys way past closing. Not one person complained. They were all so nice and polite the whole time. Thanks guys!!!!

This is my second VW from South Charlotte VW and wont be my last.. I have total 3 VW's of over my whole driving years and love them all. I got a 2013 VW GLI Autobahn and I never had a dealership give me a new car to use till my car I chosen came in .. Now that is outstanding!!. My trade-in car was a 2008 Jetta SE certified vehicle and never had any issues with it that were major.. The service dept is amazing and fast! Mike your a great salesperson. You will go far since your have great customer service skills and knowledge..I receive a great trade in quote for my former car. I decided to lease then buy and that was good decision. Was looking for a new car and considered both the Ford Fusion and the VW Jetta. I went to the Ford Dealer first (full disclosure - I own 2 cars through this Ford dealer) and - after reviewing all of the options - decided to review the Jetta. I clearly explained to Ramsey what my requirements were and my price points. He brought forth a number of options and models. It was clear that dollar for dollar, I was getting more car over the Fusion and Ramsey and the VW South Charlotte dealership made the purchase experience easy. I highly recommend this dealer and Ramsey as an excellent sales consultant.

Poor quality of service experienced, after having bought a 2013 Passat TDI SEL the day before! I returned to the dealership the next day because 1 of 2 keys I've been issued was defective. They had me wait for 2 hours while they "looked into it" just to come back to tell me, "yes, this is a bad key". Extremely disappointed with the service department which unfortunately made me wish I didn't buy from this dealership in the first place. To waste my time with something as simple as letting me know something is not working when they issued me the defective key in the first place is a poor reflection of their service and really screams INCOMPETENT for a dealership that sells a high end product. Imagine, watching 6 other customers walk-in and walk-out while you're patiently waiting and in the end have nothing to show for your visit but a "we'll order a new one, it will be here in a few days, you can come pick it up". A waste of time and poor reflection of Volkswagen as a whole! Would like to be contacted in regards to this visit from the dealership.

When I visited VW of South Charlotte I has not intending on purchasing a vehicle that day, but to just check available inventory, get some prices and weigh my options. Being a pastor I am looking for the best vaule and honesty about the product of what I can expect. I had already had a bad experience in the previous antomoblie that I drove in cost of vehicle and cost of maintaining and operation. I did not get what I had hoped for on my trade, but I did get what I consider "fair". Mike Hoyt worked hard to get me all that he could and his friendliness and helpfulness is what sold the vehicle. I got what I was looking for and by all indications I should now have a cost efficient and dependable VW Jetta TDI to use in ministering to precious people. I as well had several options of financing but Zach was so helpful and efficient that I made the choice to use their in house financing. I am looking forward with good expectations, thank you Mike and Zach, VW of South Charlotte should consider themselves fortunate to have you two as part of their team.

Since the early '80's I have purchased new, 2-Mits, 3-Fords, 3-GMs, 1-Lincoln, 1-Dodge, 1-Toyota, and now a VW. I don't care to deal with "no haggle" dealerships. That red price tag in the window is a guarantee you won't get the best deal. The typical new car buying experience includes bait and switch, shuffle the numbers in the contract process then act stunned and confused when challenged, and of course "what will it take to get you in this car today". None of which is present at VW of South Charlotte. Mike and Patrick were straight forward with the numbers, what we discussed is what was on the paper work, they negotiated fairly and honestly, and I'm satisfied with the results. The sales team wants to sell cars, but there's no arm twisting. I was offered and took an extended test drive, typically dealers only want to drive you around the block. They are knowledgeable about their products, (I hate it when I know more about the product being sold than the saleman.)and accomodating to my request.I just hope the quality of the vehicle will be up to the standards of the dealership. Time will tell.

This dealership is all hands shakes and smiles when you buy a vehicle from them, until you have a problem them you get the run around until they talk their way out of fixing the problem. I brought a 20 thousand dollar used car from them and 2 weeks later had a problem with the control arms. I brought the car in twice and was assured they would fix the problem. The sales manager even drove the car and confirmed the problem I was having but when I went to pick the car up they said their service team heard nothing that it was just a squeak. Don't buy a car from this dealership because once they get your sale they care nothing about the purchase or trying to make the customer happy. I've been buying cars for over 30 years and have never experienced a shady dealership like this one. Save your money and go with a dealership that stands behind their vehicles like Hendricks , that's where I brought my last 3 cars from and should have stuck with them.

We weren't immediately in the market for a new car but VW South Charlotte had just gotten a trade in of a very low miles 2012 Tiguan that totally fit what we had been thinking to replace our 7+ year old SUV. The folks at VW South with whom we worked (Kent, Patrick, Jacques, and Mark) were amazing. We felt like family instead of customers. They walked us through the entire process with no pressure whatsoever, made sure we understood each step, and made us a great deal for both our new car as well as our trade. We were in and out in our new Tiguan in no time (for a car purchase) and enjoyed our time while there.Professional, courteous, attentive, and EASY - that's the experience you can expect from this fine store! I was in the market for a new car and after doing extensive online searching I came across truecar.com where I requested information for a new VW. Shortly after completing the online search (less than an hour) I received a call from Jan and had an appointment/test drive set up. Upon getting to the dealership my wife and I were warmly greeted by Jan. I was happy with the attention she gave us and the easy she made the whole process. Throughout the whole process she offered us drinks and even bagels, something Honda never did when we went to check out their cars. I was also glad that we could come to an agreement on the price I had in mind. I would definitely recommend this dealership and Jan to whoever wants quality service with ease of mind.

Purchasing a new vehicle from Volkswagen of South Charlotte was by far my easiest car buying experience, and Mickael Hoyt was the best Sales Adviser I've worked with. This is the first VW I've purchased and Mickael took my wife and I on a "special" test drive to really show us the performance of the vehicle. I HIGHLY recommend anyone new to VW to request Mickael to show them what these cars are capable of. Once my wife and I finished driving the car, we knew the GLI was for us. They didn't have the exact color car we wanted on the lot, but quickly located one for us instead of trying to push us into what they had. When it came time to negotiate the deal, Mickael helped us quickly come to a fair price for the car and for our trade. We just left the VW dealership of South Charlotte and I cannot stop thinking about my experience with our sales associate Tim, sorry "TimBo" Black. We were there to meet our other sales associate my parents had been working with, but he wasn't there at the time so Tim said he would be more than happy to help us. Tim made our purchase of my Jetta one to remember, with explaining every last detail and making sure he went the extra mile or two just to ensure I had everything I needed and made the transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible. So this is not at all my style to write reviews, but I felt that as a fellow consumer, this needs to be communicated to potential customers of this dealership.The moral of this story is to make sure you ask whether your used car has been 'reconditioned' in any way, because it happens all too aften and gets disguised as routine.I purchased a used car from this dealership some months ago. The sales rep, Dave Brown has been nice and I was on the verge of buying another car from him, until by chance I was made aware of a pre-existing issue with my car.Before I purchased the car, I noticed overspray below the front bumper. This alarmed me a bit and looked quite sloppy, but they explained it as a routine bumper spray to cover rockchips, which I accepted after making sure that there was no greater frame or structural damage beneath it. Some month passed and I hit a curb while parking, at very low speeds. What should have just resulted in paint damage, has been an ever-growing crack in the actual bumper, which is designed to be flexible and take basic impacts like that without any problems. Last week, I tried to sell the car. The prospective buyer took the car for inspection and a bodyshop reported back that the bumper had bondo and patchwork done to it internally, not visible to the naked eye. Needless to say I lost that customer and went back to VW Charlotte and met sales manager Matt Donovan, who was always more than happy to see me since he knew I was in the market for a new car. However his tone changed as soon as I brought this issue up and it became defensive.I explained to him in detail the situation and that I lost a buyer. At the same time, I let him know that I am not in this to get something for nothing, but that this is about principle and that they were not truthful to the customer upon purchase, in regards to the extent of the damage. I asked him to help me resolve this, since it is minor and they can do it in-house, that I would split or even cover the price if done at cost. All to no avail.His explanation was that "we recondition cars all the time and there is no way of knowing what we have done to each car, since we sell so many". I asked him to look at the records to see whether indeed it was just rock chips or greater damage that they covered up with the bondo and repaint, he refused.A follow-up call netted no results and he reiterated that "your bad review will not tarnish all the good ones we get". I told him that this is not my intent, to tarnish their rep, just to make sure that customers are aware that there is a level of reconditioning going on which is above and beyond a respray, which I feel is important for customers to know.Shame that it became about ego and muscle-flexing more than customer service in the end, because I sincerely believe that for $150.00, which I would have paid, they could have rectified the situation.Please be aware of 'reconditioning' at VW South Charlotte.

Matt helped me out over the course of a few weeks. I first sent in a referral online and Matt was prompt to email me and call me back. He accommodated my odd hours due to me working most days until close to closing time. I did most of my research online and talked with him over the phone. I went into the dealership around the time he was supposed to be getting off and ended up buying that car that day. He got me a really good rate on the car at the price I was looking to spend and I was even able to get the APR tune on my 2009 VW CC when I purchased the car. Overall my experience with the dealership has been great. When I got the tune on my car they even drove me to my job and picked me up so I didn't have to worry about driving back to the dealership. I liked working with Matt enough that whenever I know someone who is interested in getting a vehicle I send them to him and I'm in the process of getting a friend into a CC like myself.After three months I couldn't be happier with VW of South Charlotte and Matt!

The selection of cars is what really impressed me. Not only did they exactly what I wanted on the lot, but they had a options available beyond my specifics. Even though their options were available, I wasn't pushed into anything. I was made clearly aware, and that was the end of it. The opportunity was there several times to bash other makes/dealerships, but instead of putting down the competitor. Tim Black (my sales representative) just took the opportunity to build up his company. I thought that displayed great professionalism. I will be doing business here in the not so distant future (as soon as the required funds become available), and recommend this dealer to all whom may be seeking a luxury, powerful car, but for a cost that competes with the every day family car.

I walked into the dealership for the first time to get my Jetta serviced. My lease was ending in October and wasn't really interested in re-leasing at the time. While I was waiting I met Mike and told him my situation. He showed me a few of the cars and took me on a test drive. He was the most professional and courteous salesmen that I have ever dealt with. Normally dealing with a dealership is a very painful experience. My experience with Volkswagen of South Charlotte though, was by far the best experience I have ever had and better even than I had thought possible. Not only was every person that I came in contact with professional, they were courteous and helpful in every way possible. Mickael was my representative, and he made me feel welcome and like I actually mattered to him more than just a sale. He took his time with me and only assisted me in looking for a new car, not pushing me towards anything in particular. This dealership was amazing. They definitely worked with us in all aspects of our car shopping needs. The only down side with VW, not this dealership, is their misleading advertising and marketing when it comes to lease specials. This portion of our car buying made for a difficult understanding of leasing a vehicle when you go into the dealership with certain numbers in mind after viewing said advertising!

We recently moved to the south and during our travels around the area, we noticed the VW EOS. So we found the South Charlotte dealer and Mike Roberts. Now we have purchased many cars over time and have been in many dealerships but this one is certainly THE BEST. We know we liked the car, but had no idea if we wanted to trade in one of our cars, if so, which one, buy a new EOS or a used EOS, etc. So we made several trips and phone calls to Mike, Ty and Mark Donovan over a couple of weeks. This has to be the friendliest dealership, not to mention patient and helpful! I finally had an ephipheny and decided to trade in my husbands car :) and purchase a new EOS. So we made an appointment for one of the hottest days of the year. When we got there, Ty went through our options one more time - and they actually talked us into a beautiful used EOS with low mileage - SAVING US A TON OF CASH!!! Never have I been to a dealer where they talked us into saving money. Even the payment turned out to be lower than expected. Halleljuah! The day was miserably hot - Mike kept us hydrated with water, took us for a spin in the convertible, changed our plates and spent time in the heat explaining all the details of the car. I appreciate the attention to detail, the speed of the transaction (after we finally made up our minds , the courtesy and no pressure. By far, the best car purchase experience I have had. VW South is great. They are fast , down to earth, no BS kinda place. I walking in and talked to Mike about a car that nobody could get, about 15 mins went by and they had the car. Matt contacted me immediately after I had submitted a request for a quote online for the Autobahn GTI. The next day I visited the dealership and Matt did everything he could to find the Autobahn that I wanted and I was able to pick up the car the very next day. Matt will get you the car you want, at the price you can afford. I looked at other dealerships, but their inventory was not as large and versatile as South Charlotte. I found the CPO vehicle online and inquired to the availability. Ralph sent me an email that evening and told me that he would call me in the AM. After speaking with Ralph for the first time on the phone, we knew that this would be a good experience. Once at the dealership, Ralph was very helpful and not pushy. My wife and I had the idea to trade out our 2010 Jetta TDI Sportwagen that had a less than favorable loan interest rate to a new Jetta TDI or Passat TDI. We had seen the excellent financing options available from VW and went to VW of South Charlotte to see if we could make our desires a reality. We met Lee Costin and were immediately made to feel welcome. Lee listened to our ideas and was very patient and knowledgeable as we explored either the Passat or Jetta options. When we decided on the Jetta TDI sedan, Lee guided us through the process to check our qualifications and put us in touch with Ty Matthews. Ty checked our qualifications and gave us several great options to finance our new Jetta and to trade or sell our current car.We opted to sell our car outside of the dealership and Lee and Ty handled all of our ideas and concerns with patience and knowledge.We had previously dealt with the service department at this dealership and found it to be outstanding as well. We came to just look at a car with no intention of buying. The salesperson was extremely nice and apparently knew just the right things to say. He was very down to earth and honest with us. We had already researchered the Eos on the interet, so we knew the price being asked was a fair price. The trade in allowance on our car was more than expected. So, we did buy the car. The salesman made sure to schedule us with a service visit and showed us how to work everything on the car. They even called the next day to be sure we were satisfied.

It was a great experience with the sales rep and it was a nice "non-pressured" sales experience. The only point I didn't like was when the sales manager came out but i know thats part of the process. The line of "where do we need to be to get you into this car today?" is terrible but I know it needs to happen. Overall I plan to go back VW of South Charlotte for service and future purchases.

Recently traveled from KY to NC to purchase a used SUV. Had difficulty flying into Charlotte due to bad weather and didn't arrive until after dealership had closed. They were nice, and gracious. Except when it came to negotiating the price. Of course, there came and obligatory, 700$, doc fee. Looking back, that should have been a point to press with them. I really did get a good, used, car, from a good year, with fairly low mileage, so I cannot fault them too much for not budging to far from their original price. The Sales associate, Ty Matthews, was very good, he was nice, not pushy, which is something rare in car dealers I hear. Anyway for me it was a pretty good place to buy a car.

Ty Matthews was the BEST salesman I have ever dealt with. Granted I have not dealt with many, but I brought along a team of men who have cumulatively probably purchased 30 cars. They can be a tough bunch, and ALL raved about Ty. He is not a pushy salesman, knows his product and tells it like it is. There is no hidden agenda with this man. He is honest, friendly and will go above and beyond to help you. Not to mention genuine. You walk away feeling like you just made friends with him, and want to keep in touch. He follows up with you to make sure your car is running well and to see if there is anything that he could do. I did not experience the high pressure sale that I have experienced in the past at other dealerships. I was encouraged to test drive a new vehicle. Because the dealership did not have exactly what I was looking for in stock, the salesman offered to locate the vehicle. The salesman then told me about a current year vehicle with 5000 miles that was available. This vehicle was not in my first color choice. The salesman offered to let me keep the vehicle over night. I purchased that vehicle the next day. The following morning I experienced a mechanical issue with the vehicle. I returned to the dealership that morning. The service department identified the problem. A replacement part was not available. I was told it would be two to three days before the repairs could be completed. The service department acquired an rental vehicle for my use at their cost.The salesman called to follow up on the sale from the day before. I advised of the service related issue. I expressed my concern that the relationship with the dealership was not starting out very positive.Less than 8 hours later I received another call from the salesman. The salesman advised me the repairs had been completed and I could pick up my vehicle.Mechanical things break and have to be repaired. What makes this salesman, service department, and dealership stand above the rest is their commitment to excellent customer service.It is the recovery and resolution of this issue that I will highly recommend the salesman and dealership to friends and family.

The service team at Volkswagen of South Charlotte is exceptional. When my car requires service in addition to the scheduled maintenance, they take me back into the service area and have the service technician show me what is required, and explain why it is required. I feel my car is in good hands because I can trust the service team. And I feel I can drive my car with confidence because the safe functioning of the car is the service team's priority.

As always, another great service experience. I called the day before and made the appointment for 8:00 AM. I was received very quickly with friendly with helpful service personnel.I was going to take the shuttle but Joerg said he could have me out in one hour, and one hour it was. He also noticed my inspection was coming up and suggested doing it now and two days later I received a request for the inspection to renew my tag. Timing was right on. I really appreciate my car being washed. Another great timing experience.Keep up the great service and customer trust.

We were looking to buy a new vehicle. We shopped around and test drove numerus vehicles. We narrowed down what we wanted to the Hyundai Sonata or the Volkswagen Jetta. We were discouraged at the Hyundai dealership by a pushy unfriendly salesman. We were very pleased with Eduardo at Volkswagen of South Charlotte, he is the reason we decided to buy a new 2011 Jetta.

He was very patient and friendly, and not only explained what went wrong and what they had done to fix it, but also general maintenance advice for the future. I purchased my 2005 GTI at Carolina Volkswagen. I received very good service from the service team there until they left the dealership.I received an email from Volkswagen of South Charlotte and noted that the service team I had worked with at Carolina Volkswagen was now at Volkswagen of South Charlotte. I now have my car serviced at Volkswagen of South Charlotte (even though it is a longer drive from my home) because of the excellent service I receive there.They listen closely when I explain what my service needs are, they examine the car closely and bring to my attention anything that needs to be serviced, they explain clearly what those service needs are (meaning they take me into the service area and show me what needs to be done), and they keep me updated while I wait for the service to be completed.Note: I can explain in detail what my service issue is with Carolina Volkswagen if interested.

They fixed a problem another car dealership couldn't find. I had taken my son's car to another car place to replace bulb. They put headlight bulb in incorrectly, causing it to illuminate the side of the road. When I took it back they told me it was not incorrect. The VW place on South found problem and fixed in 30 minutes.

Joerg provides patient, excellent, professional and friendly service. I have discussed several pros and cons of particular service needs in my past few visits and I have never felt like he had an ulterior motive or was not concerned about my best interest. I look for him to work with me when I take my car to service and continue to return to this particular dealership, instead of other independent service dealers or other dealerships, because of how well I feel like I'm treated.

The turn signals on my Jetta quit blinking so I made an appointment to bring it in. The online scheduler was very easy to use and I got an appointment that day. I had never brought my vehicle to this dealership before and did not know what to expect. It was a Volkswagen dealership though so I wasn't worried. John Schmidt assisted me. Schmidt was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Schmidt handled my car while I waited in the waiting area. The waiting area was clean and I loved the free wifi. The dealership repaired my vehicle fairly quickly and washed my car. That was nice, as I hadn't washed my car in months. My issue also turned out to be a recalled item so the service was completely free. I have told pretty much everyone I know how awesome the service was at the dealership.

Eduardo who sold me my car has gone above and beyond the call of duty. He has has been very friendly, helpful and patient in helping me find the "perfect car". All staff is exceptional, friendly and consumer oriented. They did not with hold information from me about my vehicles condition including the fact the the paint on the front of the car is not original, does not match and is not the proper thickness for Volkswagen paint. I am assuming when I purchased the vehicle 7 months ago that I have purchased a wrecked vehicle with no knowledge of it at the time of sale but the service department said they would look into it and get back to me.Thanks,Jennifer Horan

Everyone at the dealership, including Boris, my primary contact, was helpful, personable, and perhaps best of all low pressure. Not that he acted like he did not care if I bought a car - rather, he let me take the time I needed, ask the questions I needed to ask, and buy when I was confident I was making the right decision. Other dealerships tried to put me in the hot seat on the first or second visit when I clearly was not ready. The approach taken by the sales team at VW South was a big factor in my choice to buy from them.

We stopped into VW of South Charlotte to take a look at the Routon. From the momment we stepped out of our car, everyone we saw had a smile and welcome greeting. Best of all, there wasn't a bit of pressure from anyone. David took the time to explain all the differences in the models as well as highlighting key features. I purchased my car from another dealer. A simple warrantable repair took way too many visits to fix. I had to add coolant & washer fluid within a few days of one of their "thirty point inspections". I talked to these people & brought my car here. I have returned many times for service and repairs. I will continue to come to this dealership as long as they continue to treat me fairly. I've found them to be helpful with information when requested and they have had some very good coupons/offers to help keep my costs down.

Eric C. is the man over at VW of South Charlotte. He went out of his to get me price i wanted and the payment i wanted. I told Erice what payment i was comfortable with and he came back with the number right on. Clovis did the street sweeping in finding the car before i came to the dealership. I emailed what i was looking for and he hit me up with an email as soon as the car i wanted came in. I was able to buy the car before it even got on the website, it had just came out of detailing. I had just experienced a terrible sales experience with Nissan of South Charlotte and was terrified to be going to another dealership for fear of being mistreated again. Eduardo was an AMAZING sales person and made my experience at VW the best ever!! He answered all my questions immediately and was very personable and knowledgable about the TDI Golf I purchased from him. He always kept his word, followed up with me consistently and I never felt as though he was trying to fool me or force me to buy a car like all the other dealers! Took the car in for an oil change. The process was smooth and the service adviser was friendly. He recommended some additional maintenance items based on the age of the car, but didn't push it when I requested we only do the scheduled service on that day. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. The only negative was the service took longer than expected (1.5 hrs instead of 45 min), but the service adviser was in contact with me, and they washed my car which I was not expecting.

The experience I had was one of the best car buying experiences. I'm not one to buy the same day, I have to have time to think about what a big purchase this will be. There was absolutely no pressure from Eduardo or the sales manager. He was extremely knowledgable about all the features of the Jetta. I looked at other cars the same day and nothing else really compared to the features and the price that VW could offer. I was back the next day to put a deposit down and I haven't regretted the decision. Ed has already set my first service appointment. In a word, the process was painless. All the "paperwork" was done ahead of time online, so all I had to do was show up at the allotted time and drop off the key for the 10,000 mile service. I received a call a short while later saying I can pick up the car and we'll see you again in another 10,000 miles. When I went to pick up the car, it was just as smooth, checked in, they gave me the keys and I was on my way. I can honestly say I've never been through such an easy process anywhere else.

this is my first visit to VW south Charlotte. i had a gearbox problem on my Eos, which Joerg was able to diagnose and carried out repairs under warranty. Gear changing is vastly improved but has developed a strange noise coming from transmission, after speaking with Joerg, decided to monitor over the next few days.

I moved my business from another VW dealer to this dealership because the service man I had come to trust after 11 years and 235,000 miles switched his employment to this dealer. I've always felt Joerg treated me with respect and thoroughly explained the issues my Beetle was experiencing. I had some work done at another shop that resulted in some issues for which they could or did not resolve. VW of South Charlotte identified and repaired the issues. The other establishment has now said that VW "made up" or falsified the problems, over charged me / charged for stuff that wasn't necessary and insulted their professional standards. Between the he said / she said, I would like to think that VW was in the right. Regardless, I have paid an additional $521 for work I had already paid $600+ for.

To be quite honest, I am not happy about the detailer messing up my front bumper by scratching it in several places the day I bought it, then pressure washing the paint off the right side of the bumper the following day (Sunday) when I brought it back up to the dealership to have it repaired and detailed again because of the smudges and smears all over the interior and windows. I had to bring it back on 3 occasions to finally get the bumper fixed! When my wife brought it up there Wednesday the guys put a bumper from another car on my car that was completely chipped up in about 10 or 12 places and full of touch up paint, which I could still smell at 5:30pm when I got home and looked over it. UNACCEPTABLE! So I brought it back on Thursday to get yet another bumper installed, and I'm still not satisfied with the results based on the fact that now, my front grille has scratch marks all over it where the service tech had to keep taking it out of one bumper and then install it in yet another bumper, just to be removed again, and installed in the 3rd and final bumper. What is the deal? Now I assure you that I understand no new car is perfect due to the shipping on semi trucks, test driving, and varying weather conditions, but the car I bought was perfect until the final minutes of the sale. Seems as if nobody had the courtesy to care that this is someones 25,000 Jetta, and the new owner might not appreciate the careless acts performed by your detail department and service department. One thing is for sure, I will not let the detail department touch my car ever again! Based on the actions taken, I'm not sure that I should even trust the service department to keep the maintenance up on my brand new vehicle. I am very disappointed!

They're nice now and the prices are comparable to their competitors. They still do shoddy work. I relocated to Charlotte and took my car to VW of South Charlotte for a major service and they were able to work me in quickly and perform most of the services requested. Their price was 50% higher than where I previously lived but they are convenient to my home and work, so I figured I'd just deal with it. The svc advisor was not even slightly friendly (or rude), but he didn't provide any reason for me to return so I decided to try another dealership the next time I needed service.I went to one of the other dealerships in town, and after they were unable to correct a warranty repair I decided to try VW South again. I met with the old service manager, Peter, who rode in the car with me and verified all sorts of strangeness going on. He immediately ordered me a rental to drive for the duration of the repair, which was very nice. Sadly, the rental was through Enterprise who rents the worst vehicles ever and I had to drive a smoked in Traverse for 3 weeks while they fixed my car. Traverse, being of the Enterprise variety, of course didn't have the alarm remote so when you unlocked the doors the alarm went off every time. Well I get the car back and my alignment is totally screwed up and my car was not driving well at all (but it was also not making the bad noises) so I took it back to Peter because Amanda the service advisor told me I'd have to pay $90 to get my car aligned (but I'd paid another dealer $50 to have it aligned <1000mi before) and since she was so rude and obnoxious about it AND the dealer UNALIGNED my car I told Peter he needed to fix it. (I didn't mention Amanda's rudeness to Peter that time, figuring maybe she had a bad day). After 3 more tries, they finally got the car driveable so I didn't have to come back for a few months. Of course they managed to drop a bolt in between my right fender and the frame of the car which rattled incessantly for a while and didn't fully reattach the left front fender liner or the air dam liner (for the first time).I brought my car back on a 100 degree day because the A/C died. It was still under warranty so I asked for a loaner or a Hertz rental. Amanda, being the impolite snotty little snot that she is lied to me and told me I couldn't get a Hertz rental and that I'd have to pay for it myself if I did. She also said they had to have it for >24 hours or something for a rental to be reimbursed through Enterprise rent-a-POS. Anyway, I did my errands and dropped the car off on a Thursday night, they weren't able to get it fixed by Friday so she ordered me a rental thru Enterprise. I told her I would be out of town until late Monday night so I would get the car Tuesday morning. She said that was fine and VW would cover the rental for the additional day. She blatantly lied and tried to cover it up in my invoice (also got an oil change) as a "freon" charge (for the same line item as my additional day of rental - purely unethical behaviour), even though the R134a was billed to VW for the warranty repair. Peter heard about that --- I wish she had been fired then and there. Again, air dam and fender liner were not attached??? Twice? Seriously?Sadly, the next (and last) time I went into the dealership, I was greeted by the snot herself, but she was at least cordial and kind of pretended to care this time. Sadly, she didn't write down everything I mentioned to her regarding the warranty repair and so the description was inadequate for the technicians to diagnose properly. When they took my car apart, replaced the parts with the same bolts initially used (even thought the technical service bulletin specifically stated to NOT REUSE THE BOLTS!), the car made the noise leaving their parking lot, and managed to be unaligned by them, it was the last straw. I turned around and asked for Peter to get everything fixed (he is the only person that's worked there that I've dealt with that has any sense at all) and of course he no longer worked there. New service manager Travis was obviously raised in a trailer park in Gastonia and quite simply should only work in a coal mine as he is a disgrace to those of us with cars that have been broken by incompetent technicians that do not read service bulletins or check behind themselves among other things.I will not go back to the VW South Charlotte dealership ever again and recommend that no one trust their vehicle with them. When you go for the overpriced service, they don't appreciate your business. When your car breaks, they may fix it but will break other things along the way. The service advisor Amanda is snotty and arrogant, doesn't listen and write down the problem on the service order, and flat out lies in some cases. The technicians do not read TSBs. The new service manager is repugnant, Peter was the only reason I went back to them in the first place, but with him gone, there's no saving grace.

I used VWSouth for buying VWs and servicing them when I lived in Charlotte (I now live in Raleigh). The Raleigh VW dealership said my maintenance service would take an entire day, which I knew -- after 5 VWs -- was wrong. Joerg was great to deal with from our first phone conversation, to the day of the appointment. I scheduled a drop-off for first thing in the morning, and Guenther gave me a ride to the train station so I could work in our uptown office. Joerg called me before lunch (what's that about a whole day, Raleigh?!) with an update. He helped me with additional info on tires before I left. No worries, I'll be back. VWSouth is almost worth me moving BACK to Charlotte!

I brought my 2008 VW Beetle in for a recall and to have the passenger side front light fixed for the fourth time. As far as I know the recall fuel line issue was fixed and so far the light is working. But it's too early to tell on the light as it took a couple of weeks to quit working each time before.Also, I still have to walk to and from the light rail train station when dropping off and picking up my car. Your shuttle to the station doesn't begin until 8:00 AM and then I believe waits until they have several people before taking them to the station. I drop my car off for the day as soon as you open at 7:30 AM and that still makes me late for work (start time of 8:00 AM). Otherwise, all of your service people are very nice.Thank you.

I love new cars but hate the whole "car buying experience". My transaction with this purchase could not have been more pleasant. Clovis really listened to my needs and he and Jeff Miller literally went the extra mile(s) to find the vehicle I wanted. Service is always good. John Schmidt was great and if I were you, I would give him a raise. I was totally satisfied with my service. Being a senior, sometimes there are those who want to take advantage of a problem. Knowing nothing about the running of a car, it is nice to have someone you can trust. I hope that it is possible to deal with John in the future. Thanks so much.

They seemed to genuinely appreciate my business and treated me as such. They were right on time with my service and didn't charge me for a repairing a tire leak that a GoodYear service center wanted me to replace my tire over. I also like that they cleaned my car before returning.

It was time to get my first synthetic oil change for my new vehicle, which I purchased in September 2010. With this being my first vehicle and me being a female, I was able to trust the technicians and service representatives wholeheartedly at Volkswagen of South Charlotte. I highly recommend them! John worked with me via email to come and pick up my vehicle from my work location, service it, and bring it back safely. Not only did they provide a wonderful service, they also washed my car, which it desperately needed! John made sure that if I had any questions or concerns, he would be more than willing to answer them for me. Overall, I love my Volkswagen and I love the service I receieved from Volkswagen and South Charlotte!

Edurardo was very professional and helpful to us when looking at another auto to purchase. Edurardo was informative and educational about the car. Always informing us of the pros and cons of the car as well the features and operation of the car. At no time was he pushy or aggressive in his sales attempt. His people skills were excellent always thinking of the customer's desires first.We well for sure use him for the next purchase of a Volkswagen. I have no complaints about VW of South Charlotte. I brought my 07 Rabbit in for it's 30k service. They started on time and estimated an hour to complete the routine maintenance. An hour later, my car was serviced, washed, and ready to roll. Per request, the service writer performed some additional research to locate an in-dash nav for the vehicle. Although the research didn't yield any promising options, I still appreciated the effort.

Joerg honored a discount coupon from another dealer, arranged for a replacement car, and assisted me in every way in getting the service needed for my car. He is extremely accommodating and pleasant. I followed him to VW South from another dealership.

Cal worked very hard to meet all of our requirements. He was very prompt to return calls and answer questions. He made the car buying experience a fun one (as it should be)! I've delta with some dealers who could really take some lessons from Cal. I hope he's not planning to retire any time too soon. We'd love to deal with him on our next VW!

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. From the time I filled out the online trade in estimator to the time I drove off the lot, it was great.Clovis is an exceptional person. After visiting another Charlotte Volkswagen dealership and leaving disappointed, we contacted Volkswagen of South Charlotte via the internet and received a prompt and courteous reply. Cal Wilden gave us a price quote right away that was better than the price we spent two hours to get at the other dealership.The sales process was very simple and very fast. We were in and out of the dealership in an hour and a half. Barry was great in the business office and everyone we met was very professional but also very personable. We will definately do business with Cal and Volkswagen of South Charlotte again.
