Freddy was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He was not pushy, but instead took the time to hear my car needs and work with me to get the right vehicle. He was genuine, seemed to really care about his service and advocacy not only for Volvo, but for me, as the customer. Freddy provided a thorough review of the car and explained all it’s bells and whistles. He made my buying experience very pleasant and stress free. I would recommend Freddy again and again. P.S. I was assisted throughout the whole process by Chris Gough. If you are going in, I highly recommend him. He walked me through the vehicle I ended up purchasing. As well as others at different dealerships, and he showed me why I should work with him. There was not a thing on my vehicle that he didn’t walk me through. He sat down in the car and actually went through every feature the car has. And, when I purchased my vehicle, he was there every step of the way making sure it went smoothly and that I was made a priority. Also, he personalized my vehicle to me by going into the main console and adjusting all of the setting to what I would like. No doubt, if you are looking for a great experience and truly nice vehicles, go and pay them a visit. You will come to understand that they take the time to take care of you. I very much so enjoy my vehicle and highly recommend their services.

My wife, two kids and myself went to Volvo of Lisle knowing that there was a possibility that we would leave with a new car. We were prepared to make a purchase, but were willing to walk away if we did not receive the service that we wanted. We arrived at the dealership driving a very old, beat up car, with two very small kids in tow. It's worth noting that I'm a little skeptical of dealerships, because I've had some bad experiences over the years where I did not receive good customer service. I admit that I dress down on weekends and may never have "the look" of a car buyer, but I've actually had occasions where absolutely no salesperson has approached me, even after making eye contact with me. When we first walked into the doors of the dealership, John Taylor immediately approached us, asked how we were doing and how he could help us. We got a really good vibe from him right away. He asked what model Volvo we were looking for and we told him the XC90. He immediately told us that most of them were in the back of the lot and said we could walk back there. He grabbed the keys for a few different vehicles and walked to the back with us. He was very detailed in his explanation regarding the differences between the trim levels and options on the various cars and was able to answer all questions. We never felt rushed, pressured and most importantly, we never felt like he doubted the possibility of us purchasing a vehicle or our ability to purchase a vehicle. When we told him we liked a particular car, he said he'd get the keys to that one and meet us in the front so we could test drive it. Once we were done with the test drive, we told him that we wanted the vehicle. He walked us through the process of everything that was going to happen and even set our expectations on how long we would possibly be at the dealership. We appreciated that he was honest and considerate of our time. The purchase didn't take as long as we thought.The best part of this experience was that John never once tried to ask probing questions meant to determine if we could afford the vehicle or if we were serious buyers vs window shoppers. That was so refreshing, especially for someone who has basically had salespersons in the past question my ability to pay for a new car without having any real information to base that opinion on. John treated us like actual car buyers, even though he had no clue that we walked in hoping to leave with a new vehicle. I would highly recommend this dealership and especially John to anyone looking for a Volvo. We passed a couple of other Volvo dealerships on our way from downtown Chicago to this location due to them having better inventory of what we were looking for. However, after this great experience, I would not hesitate to make my next Volvo purchase from John and Volvo of Lisle again...even if it meant I had to bypass other dealerships.BTW, we love the XC90!Thanks for everything John!

A companys reputation is built not just on delivering a service or a product, but more importantly how they handle customer service when they get it wrong. On 09/20/16, we had scheduled an appointment with Volvo of Lisle to have our windshield replaced. At this point, we had the windshield ordered and set a week after delivery to have the work completed. Volvo apparently does not have anyone qualified to do the work so they sublet the work to a vendor unbeknownst to us. Our service advisor, Scott, was to schedule the vendor to complete the work on the 20th. After dropping off our vehicle that morning we were told it take a complete day for the windshield to be replaced and sealer to set. As we drove off, we felt we made a good decision going with this dealership and when they sent us a text to advise if we had any questions or concerns to just respond to that text we felt it confirmed it. Around 3:30 that day I texted to see if everything was progressing, no response. Some time later, around 5:00 pm, we called to determine the status of our repair. At that time, we found out no vendor was scheduled and our time had been wasted. Really? Why wasnt I called? Scott assured me that he would start work early the next day and he would be right on it and we would have a vehicle back mid-to-late afternoon. Day two, we texted mid day to see if our vehicle was ready, again, no response (not a surprise at this point). So we called, no one answered so we left a voice message that went unanswered as well. Finally, calling the general number, the receptionist got Scott on the phone for us and we learn our vehicle was finally ready well after 5:00pm. Through this whole process Scott never apologize for the lack of scheduling a vendor, wasting our time and his failure to response to any of our inquiries. We contacted the GM that evening, Thomas, to voice our dissatisfaction. All he would say is that the treatment was not acceptable. Never once did he ask us how do we make it right by you. The next day he called to offer us a free detailing to make things right. We told him, to keep the free detailing, just have Scott call and says he is sorry for how this whole thing was handle. Scott never called. For me, that enough to say I am done doing business with a company that only wants my money and is not concern with its customer relations. Fortunately, we live in an area where we have options for our servicing.

As far as the dealership is concern, I gave them an average rating because I have never gave them any business: sales or service. BUT approximately 9 months ago, I went into this dealership to look at the XC60. I spoke to one of the sales reps. When he asked me about what I thought about the car, I told him I did not like the small steering wheel and the NAV screen. It seemed to small. The car did not catch my fancy. Instead of showing me the XC90 with the bigger screen, he proceeded to belittle my opinions about the XC60. He Spoke arrogantly toward me.. At that point, I knew I would not return to this dealer to purchase. Now with that being said, over the last 9 months I've narrowed my car choices to XC90 or XC60. Mind you, I looked at BMW i3, Lincoln MKZ, Mazda CX-9 Signature, Enclave & Highlander XLE. I did my research on the Volvo but this salesman did not help me at all. I felt like I was at the buffet, "Help yourself." This dealer is no where near my home, but today after work I had driven passed by this dealer and needed to kill an hour, so I decided to go in again just to see if they had the 2017 XC90 or XC60. TO MY SURPRISE, I HAD THE OPPRTUNITY TO MEET LOLITA! WOW, TODAY's EXPERIENCE WAS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE THAN LAST DECEMBER. She right away, opened up the cars for me to see. Even though I told her I did not want a car payment, she explained why she likes leases. (My last lease was not a good experience). Her wide based knowledge allowed me to make a better decision. She was personal. She was genuinely friendly toward me. She stayed an extra two hours after work to speak with me. Her coworker barely could give me the time of day. I've been to 3 Volvo Dealerships, and have spoken to 5 sales reps. Lolita was the absolute BEST. She knew her cars, she knew the fine details of the leases, she knew how to explain the features to me. She was right on the money. NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL A SALES REP! She really has it ALL! Thanks you for a wonderful experience Lolita! This lady is the BEST THING THAT HAPPENED to Volvo of Lisle. Why do dealers employ such wonderful engaging people (like LOLITA) and also hold on to arrogant sales reps dressed nice but have nothing but negativity that spews out of their mouth? Sometimes I do not understand businesses these days. They do not realize customer service is their bread and butter.

The dealership is really busy right now because the new XC90 is so popular, but once I made an appointment everything moved really quickly. I picked out the car and agreed on the price and then I came back in the next day to pick it up. Car was ready and the paperwork was all set and only took a few minutes. Rick, the sales guy was great through the whole process. Not the usual car sales nonsense. We were able to agree on the price easily without a lot of back and forth, and I'm very happy with the deal I got.

I'd been taking my '98 XC70 to Volvo of Lisle since I bought it. The one star is for the good service from John Korallus that I did receive during this time. However, the taste that lingers in the mouth is from the last thing we eat. 2 weeks ago I had the car towed in with a fuel leak, but 3 days later they told me it was irreparable. Today, I realized their interest level in the customer drops from 100% to 0% the minute they realize there is no more money to be made. After paying around $8,000/= in repairs over 3 years, the Service Manager made me pay another $145/= to practically tell me to take my piece of crap off their parking lot. This is the Volvo that Volvo of Lisle had maintained since the day I bought it. On top of that they charged me for an unsolicited "rental", which I had returned the day they told me about my car. And all this after lying to me for 10 days about a 2008 Volvo the Service Manager said he had, that he could sell to me. The Sales Department denied having such a car. Despicable ethics, despicable management, never again.

I was looking for a car for over two and a half years and was pretty positive I was going to purchase another Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit which is fully loaded to the hilt with a Hemi or Diesel. The new Jeeps are much more expensive than they used to be since they redesigned them so I really took my time trying to look around at other German SUV's and some other brands. Then I came upon the Volvo XC-90 when watching a car show; car matchmaker and esquire car/suv of the year back in 3rd quarter of 2015. I first test drove this vehicle at another dealership and then a couple weeks later I went to Volvo of Lisle. They were extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon. Lolita came out from the back of the car showroom and immediately came up to me to see if I needed help. She seemed sincere and excited about the product from the beginning. I explained to her what I was looking for and that I had been a Jeep guy since I was 18 years old and it, a Jeep, was the first new car I ever purchased and have been driving a couple different Jeeps for 22 years as my SUV of choice. Lolita explained to me the entire SUV and then we went for a test drive. I stopped into the dealership many times over around 1.5 months and Lolita always made time for me there, while also being prompt in returning phone calls and e-mails. She was prompt and thorough each time answering all of my questions and or finding the answers and getting back to me, but once again she was extremely knowledgable about the vehicle. Almost deciding to make the purchase I brought in my old vehicle with all accompanying paperwork and Ken, Sales Manager, gave me a better price than any other Volvo Dealership and Jeep Dealership since he felt that I really took care of the old vehicle. I didn't even have to negotiate for this at all, wow. It looks as if they also already sold it as it is no longer on their website, sweet sold my old baby and within two weeks max-I hope it went to a deserving individual! Ken and Hasan also gave me a quote on an extended warranty and were very fair about the price with this to. Lolita, Ken, and Hasan all made me feel like I was getting a great value for the entire package; trade in, warranty, and new vehicle(wasn't marked down much due to the redesign and being new to the market). They also all seemed like they truly loved their jobs, and worked well together! Thank you to all involved you made me feel good about going against many of my usual buying habits; changing brands, changing dealerships, going with a darker exterior color, going with a lighter interior, and purchasing the first model year of a redesigned vehicle. I really did break all my usual reasoning, so they must have really done something right to change the stubborn particular person that I am. I would recommend anyone from any walk of life to go into this auto groups home, they treat you like a friend after getting through the usual introductions. The show room is nice, the waiting room is a little dated-who really cares, but to me service is king and they provided this to the tee which is an intangible amenity that is worth paying for, but you don't have to at this establishment! Oh also I dealt with a service tech the second day I owned the vehicle just to get some more knowledge on the engine and electric(yes I want to know it all), he was awesome, but I am forgetting his name; I am sure I will remember it in time as well as the service managers too since I like to keep my vehicles fresh and ensure it is conditionally sound hence getting the extended warranty. Very friendly guy and knowledgable about this new car and engine, heck it hasn't even been out a whole year yet. I am very happy thus far with the purchase!

I was looking for a car for over two and a half years and was pretty positive I was going to purchase another Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit which is fully loaded to the hilt with a Hemi or Diesel. The new Jeeps are much more expensive than they used to be since they redesigned them so I really took my time trying to look around at other German SUV's and some other brands. Then I came upon the Volvo XC-90 when watching a car show; car matchmaker and esquire car/suv of the year back in 3rd quarter of 2015. I first test drove this vehicle at another dealership and then a couple weeks later I went to Volvo of Lisle. They were extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon. Yes it is better than the i-drive in BMW and kills Benz and Porsches infotainment centers by far! The small little engine is faster than my 5.7 330hp Hemi in my old jeep, but not the SRT version. So I look forward to next winter and a great summer.Thanks again Volvo of Lisle; Lolita, Ken, and Hasan for making this such a pleasurable transition and purchase! To Volvo corporate please roll out this engine, T6, and infotainment center into the XC-60 so I can pick one up for my wife in a year or so when we flip her car, don't forget the cool headlights with Thor's Hammer either!!!!

My salesperson, Dale Abernathy, was very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He made the car buying experience feel like two friends chatting about cars. The price was right and the suv was beautiful. Needless to say, I purchased it that day. Since the experience was so great, I recommended Volvo of Lisle to my uncle (who was also in the market for an suv). A few weeks later, my uncle purchased his Volvo XC90 from Dale. Dealer is very cheap with customer amenities (snacks, soda, cookies, etc.), burnt stale coffee, old outdated dirty facility, unmotivated, slow, non communicative, made numerous attempts to communicate with sales person via email without responses or call backs, take it or leave it rude non-competitive trade offer, no willingness to compete with written competing dealer offer, just pushy and demanding on their "deals" sales tactics. Google "Ziegler how to work a car deal" and watch the movie "SUCKERS" if you want to know what the "sales people" working in the car sales industry think of and how they treat, car buying customers. This industry should be fully automated already!No reason for us to deal with sales/service/parts at Lisle Volvo/Honda going forward!

I set appointment to see car ... when I arrived I learned that the car I want to buy is in transit and nobody know when it will arrive. I have used this dealership for years. I bought my second and third Volvo from Volvo of Lisle. I have always been treated fairly and with respect. The service department is excellent. I have never been disappointed with the service on my cars. Last January they replaced a faulty fuel pump at their expense even though the car was way out of warranty. I love the quiet waiting room where I can read while my car is being serviced. This dealership is the gold standard of dealerships.

Beware, do not rely on advertised prices at this dealership, do not shop this dealership online! Used Forester listed for $23,000. Dealership sent me details of the vehicle through email multiple times, including the price of $23,000. There were multiple opportunities for the dealership to identify they didn't intend to sell at this price. After about a half dozen emails sent to me, the salesperson indicated the price was really $28,500 and they would not honor the original price. The salesperson also pointed me to the small print disclaimer on their website indicating prices on the website might not be accurate. I understand that mistakes can be made. I do expect that a dealership with integrity would honor an advertised price that is within reason. It certainly does not appear they are living by the claims on their website of "an unwavering commitment to excellent customer service." I was also quite insulted when the salesperson indicated in an email that I somehow knew the price was wrong or I otherwise would not have been inquiring about the vehicle from out of state. This clearly indicates a lack of understanding about car buying in the modern world where internet shopping out of state is common. It is also unprofessional and rude to blame a potential customer for the incompetency of the dealership. I have since looked back at other reviews and saw mention of concerns with honesty in the service department and rude customer service. Other reviews also pointed to sloppy paperwork, which seems consistent with not paying attention to details that are pretty important such as prices listed on the internet. I strongly recommend looking at another dealership, but at a minimum, be very cautious about advertised prices and triple check with the dealership on the price before wasting any time engaging in discussions about purchasing a vehicle.

Saw a posted add for a vehicle anf went to take a look. I liked the car, filled out all the paperwork and was told it would take 3 hours to get an answer. Not a typical situation from my experience but it is what it is. The sales person, John, was supposed to follow up by the end of the day which he never did. I called back 2 days later and spoke with Tom to ask what is happening and why no one followed up. I was met with an 'oh well' apathetic type of attitude. This approach is not how people should do business in my opinion.

I purchased my first new Volvo (240 Wagon) in Lisle in 1992 from Rick Winkler. John Korallus, in service, kept it running for 23 years and 285,000 miles. When it finally could no longer be repaired, John, at my request, went to Rick and asked him to find me a used car, pronto. I drove out 48 hours later with a beautiful 2006 XC70. I was referred to Volvo of Lisle by my aunt and uncle who have purchased from this dealer. It was the first dealer I went to and I was lucky enough to be greeted by John Taylor. He was wonderful, I instantly knew I could trust him. John responded to my many emails and did not pressure me while I did research and shopped around. I ultimately came back to Volvo of Lisle because of the people, it is a big purchase and I wanted to feel like the transaction was transparent. John made the process extremely efficient and easy. Ken did the paperwork with me and he was also great, he presented me with the product offerings, but did not pressure me. Ken was very thorough in explaining what each form was that I was signing and very efficient. Overall, I highly recommend this dealer and John Taylor. We purchased a used Dodge from Volvo of Lisle in December 2014. While they may be great at Volvo's, I would not recommend buying any other brand vehicle from them. A competitive price is about the only positive thing I can say about our experience. They had almost no product knowledge on the vehicle or its features. We asked specific questions regarding recall's we knew Dodge had out there, and were assured by our salesman Bob that "they cannot sell vehicles with open recalls on them, any recall on a different manufacture would be taken to a local dealership to be dealt with before selling the vehicle". Lie #1. As it turned out, our vehicle had an open recall on the fuel pump relay that could cause the car to stop without warning that was not taken care of. Upon arrival at our house, we noticed a rust spot that we missed on the original inspection. We called to talk to Bob about the spot, not expecting anything in particular, but pleased to hear that if we brought the car back to the dealership it would be "taken care of". Lie #2 When we attempted to schedule the work to be done, we were referred to Ken, the sales manager, who informed us that "taking care" of the spot meant simply painting over the rust. Interesting way to deal with rust, I would look over your used vehicles very closely before purchasing and certainly think twice before taking any vehicle to this dealership for body work. So, in our frustration we decided to return the vehicle "within 7 days, no questions asked" as Bob originally told us we could if we weren't satisfied. Lie #3. The return was actually an exchange for credit towards any other vehicle on the lot. Long story short. Listen carefully to what they say, and ask specific questions. And when they answer you, be careful what you believe.

Even though we live in Albuquerque, on a business trip to Chicago I happened to stay at a hotel right across this dealership. I stopped by the dealership to look into pre-owned XC60s and I ended leaving with one. The buying process was great and they did a pretty good job. The pricing was fair and on top of that they arranged the transportation of the car without any issues. Given that we transported cars between states and we received the car in Albuquerque flawless. We found couple of minor issues that I could have paid more attention during the buying process but they are nothing note worthy. The team is very trust worthy and I would buy from Volvo of Lisle again regardless of whichever state we live in. BIG THANK YOU!

Why I will never step into "Volvo of Lisle" again (or any other place that belongs to the same dealer)I apologize, but this is going to be a rather long story (and there's no happy end)I broke the plastic casing of my driver's side mirror on my Volvo 2 years ago. When I went to the dealership to get an estimate, I was told that the casing by itself cannot be replaced, but instead the whole mirror, at a cost of 1400$ due to the internal technology (blind spot sensor, etc.) I declined the repair and inquired at Volvo Corporate why a simple plastic casing could not be replaced. They confirmed the dealership estimate. As a result of me contacting Corporate, the dealership made me a "generous" offer 20% off parts & labor ... still over 1100$ for a piece of plastic. So I declined again. BSITW (best son in the world) glued the broken plastic pieces back in the casing.Fast forward to this week. The casing has been fine for 2 years. On Tuesday I brought the car in for a routine oil change.The check in sheet shows no remarks about mirror damage. As I drive away from the dealership I notice a glaring hole in the casing ... the glued in plastic pieces are missing. I call the service advisor and he asked me to drop by. While he is having a look, I tell him: I want to be totally transparent with you, you probably have all of this on file - I broke the mirror- I declined the repair because of the price- I glued it back together- I dropped the car off in one piece, pieces missing when I leftHe said he is going to talk to the service manager who had gone for the day. Next day I get a call from service advisor and he says his manager has agreed to replace the mirror, he already has the part and I should drop the car off. So I do that today before work.The advisor is not there but he has left very clear instructions including the spare part under his desk.But then the poor guy phones me after he apparently got called on the carpet. His service manager has "reviewed the case" and has now gone back on his word. So they already have my car. But now the repair is off. I ask to speak to the service manager but I only get his voice mail. But I do get a call back within the hour.Clearly he has made up his mind already and based on how rudely interrupts me multiple times he is only interested to get his point across: that I am trying to cheat their company in order to get a new mirror. He also remarks how shoddy the workmanship on the glue job has been (always good to insult the customer). He also says that I shouldn't drive around like that (mind you, all the parts are in perfect working order and this is the "wet zone" of the car). But he repeats the "generous" 20% offer (wait, is this a sales pitch?). I ask him to return my car to the original condition. That's all I want. They offered to replace the mirror. If he gives me the plastic pieces, I'll glue them back in. Sorry, can't do that. If you don't want the repair, come and pick up your car.At this point it's really not about the mirror or its price or the repair or the technical details. It is about that I was told one thing by the service advisor AFTER he received permission from his boss and they went back on their word AFTER I already dropped off the car. Along with a complete lack of accountability and an attitude that shows no interest to retain me as a customer. How could I possibly trust these people ever again?For the record, the service manager claims when he agreed to the replacement, he was not aware of the history. He stopped short of saying that I was trying to keep it a secret. So either I am a liar or their internal communication broke down. Is that reason enough to step out of the deal when the car was dropped off 2 hours before?Earlier this year I was in contact with them for a new V60 (not trying to create fake leverage, my public request is on their facebook page). Aside from me going over my choices, I feel for the service advisor, all the poor guy wanted was to help. And his boss hung him out to dry. No good deed goes unpunished, I guess.

I found an excellent Volvo service department in Volvo of Lisle! I drove over 25 miles to bring my 2005 S60 Volvo to this location because I was not getting any results with other Volvo service dealers. Matter of fact, when taking my vehicle to other service dealers they told me other things that were wrong with my vehicle and could not fix the problem that I brought vehicle in for. At wits end...I made the call to Volvo of Lisle and not only they scheduled me for the same week service they also stated in order to test drive my car they'll place me in a loaner vehicle so I wouldn't have to wait until they figure out the problem. (Mind you --other Volvo service dealers wanted me to wait or rent a vehicle while my car was being service).Although, Volvo of Lisle still could not find the problem--they did not issue a statement about anything else being wrong with the car in fact they asked if I experienced the problem again to come in and they''ll ride with me. They returned my car nice and clean looking like a brand new vehicle.I was totally impressed! I will forever use Volvo of Lisle to service my car and when in then need of new vehicle--this will be the dealer I use to purchase.Thank you for the time your took with my vehicle!Best regards,LMR

When I began using the Volvo of Lisle service department, the one-on-one personal service could not be surpassed. Over the past '2ish' years, I have wondered what happened; it just wasn't the same.There seemed to be a disconnect & disinterest between customer and employee.However, On August 27, 2014, from start to finish of a simple oil change, James came right up to my perceived old standard, and in fact surpassed it. His greeting upon my arrival was courteous and pleasant, and his manner while checking me in was professional & pleasant. Then, to surpass this, James told me that he personally had taken my car next door to be washed, as the Volvo of Lisle carwash was inoperative. I ever so greatly appreciated this.

I'm a loyal customer since 1996 when I bought my Volvo from Volvo of Lisle and I've been bringing it back for service ever since. The service staff is always courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. They go the extra mile to be sure that I'm satisfied. They are excellent listeners, too. When I have a problem I can't explain I'm always reassured and encouraged. The service techs are fabulous; they treat my car with loving care. Even though my car has seen some days, it still purrs like new because of all that good attention it receives.

I hate buying cars (used cars most of all), but this was by far the most enjoyable experience I have ever had. John Taylor was absolutely the best. He did not pressure us at all. He stepped aside and let us discuss our concerns and only interrupted when we needed help. Ken Kowal (sales manager) was also outstanding. Again, no pressure at all. He handled the financing because the finance manager was off and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. We needed some major repairs to our Volvo XC90. One part was no longer under warranty, but there were extenuating circumstances that I thought should be taken under consideration. I asked the guys in service if there was anything they could do to help me out. I was greeted by a smiling young lady and whisked over to a Service Advisor who was quite thorough regarding what needed to be done. I was able to use a rental (a 2014 Volvo, XC-60) while my Volvo was being serviced. (approximately 1 day) When picking up my car the Cashier lady was very kind and all service attendants in the area were most helpful (I was enjoying the experience so much that I almost left behind my "walker" (obviously I didn't think I needed it!) They brought it to me from the rental car! I have always had nice experiences before at Volvo of Lisle, but this time was very special. By the way, I love my 2012 Volvo XC-70!

I had to bring my car to Volvo of Lisle to replace the ignition switch. I got the appointment on the same day. I was very pleased with the service and help offered with the car loaner (there were several new Volvo models to chose from). I did appreciate the contact information for the towing company that did a great job transporting my car to the dealership. The repair costs were pretty high but something that I expected considering the original Volvo parts were required. The estimate given on the first day was accurate and matched what I had to pay in the end. The check out was very quick. Overall very pleased with Volvo of Lisle.

Tim, from start to finish, treated me like I was the only customer and his number one priority. Every step of the way he kept me updated with the diagnosis and status of repair of my volvo, all the while trying to limit my costs. At no time did I feel pressured during the whole process. I have had my Volvo for 12 years and have always taken it to a local repair shop for oil changes and routine maintenance, however, with the continued leaks I decided to take my car back to the dealership and have it "professionally" fixed! Because I know the folks at Volvo are skilled and always do an excellent job servicing my Volvo be it for regular maintenance or for a fix of one kind or another. I am also very pleased with the performance of our Volvo. Maintenance plays a big part in keeping it in top shape. The good work they do and the great treatment I get as a customer keeps me thinking my next vehicle will be another Volvo and it will come fro their dealership. I appreciate too that when I come in for service they go the extra effort and check the vehicle and advise me of impending problems so I can get them taken care of before I have a problem on the road. After the service employee, John Korallus, checked my record, he discovered that I could go 1,500 more miles and that no service was required. But, since I was there, they would do a 35 (?) point check-up for no cost at all. They even washed my car. This service would be hard to beat! The number one reason I get my two Volvos serviced at Volvo of Lisle is the satisfactory experience I derive whenever I get my car back from the service department! What I mean is that the problem is typically addressed in a timely manner with the reason for servicing having been addressed. Lolita Cook did an excellent job of presenting the car and the different sales promotions that were available for that car and similar models and years. Ken Kowal, the sales manager, was able to give me a trade in value for my VW Passat that I thought was fair based on my research going into the dealership. His assessment took only 10-15 minutes. Overall I had a very good experience with Lisle Volvo. Unfortunately, when my budget manager looked over the numbers she was concerned that we would be taking on too much when her job is not secure. So maybe it will be the 2016 XC70.

Volvo of Lisle made the whole process easy, went over their inventory and still gave us a great deal even though we clearly needed to buy right away. I have had my Volvo for 17 years and have taken it to this dealership since I bought it there. This is the only car that I have ever owned that I have taken to a dealer for repairs. I've worked with Dave Harris for most of that time. He and Steve have provided excellent service and kept my Volvo running safe for the many miles I put on it. I regularly travel back and forth to Indy so safety is critical for me. I also drive from the city to go to the Lisle Volvo location for this work. I would not travel an average of 3 hours per visit if the service weren't excellent. I would recommend Dave and Steve / the Lisle Volvo service to anyone!

Tim Whitefleet did a great job of explaining a very costly repair estimate. He was patient with my questions and willing to let me go back to the service bay to see the problems for myself. While back there I met and spoke with the mechanic who had diagnosed my vehicle. He was equally as patient with my questions, and clearly explained what the problems & options were with my vehicle. I walked away feeling that I had made the right decision and that my repair needs were in good hands. My only suggestion for improvement is that Volvo of Lisle, as the dealer of Volvo cars, do more to help control the cost of maintenance and repair for those of us who have owned our cars for a long time. It seems silly to me that brand loyalty should be "rewarded" by having to pay ridiculous mark-ups for continuing to use the dealership - which only drives us into the hands of smaller repair shops. Tim was very helpful to go through my coupon/discount options with me, to help me find a way to do my repair at the dealership, rather than being forced to go elsewhere to find a competitive price.

I was greeted by the young woman who took my name and verified my appointment. I told her I would be needing a ride to the train station and she said she would be the person taking me. I scheduled the appointment with Dominic but another customer came in seconds before me so Dominic was checking him in. I was brought over to James and he assisted with my check in. He accepted my coupons and prepared the paperwork for service. The young lady stayed close and when she saw I was ready to go to the trian station she said she had the car warmng up outside and got me there in time for my train, which I really appreciated. I was kept informed by phone of the service progress by James and was picked up at the end of the day and brough back to the Service Department to pick up my car. Everyone in the Service Department is a pleasure to deal with. I count on these service professionals to keep my car In good condition and they never disappoint. On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, I had absolutely the worst experience ever at the Volvo Service Department!!! I had a 12pm appointment with their service station for a quick look at my tire locks. Something that usually will take no longer then five minutes to do! (Just like when I went to my dealership where I bought it) JOHN in the service station takes my information and confirms with me what needs to be done. After giving a hour and a half buffer I finally went out there and talked to John. He told me that there were plenty of cars before me and that's why it is taking so long. They never even looked at my car! If they couldn't handle making an appointment at 12pm with me then why did they take it!! After I tell JOHN that I need to get this checked out ASAP because I have to work he finally goes out there to their garage and tells me it will be another 15 minutes. After 20 minutes he comes out to the waiting area and goes "HEY YOU!" I go out there with him to the garage and he tells me they don't have the keys that will take care of the wheel lock. When I spoke to TIM the week before when I made the appointment told me that they would then look into finding a key for me since the lock is made by Volvo since it is a Volvo lock. JOHN tells me that he can't and pretty much rushes me out the door. He then has the nerve to tell me that he won't charge me for wasting two hours of my day and doing nothing!! And all he can say is that there were to many cars ahead of me without giving an explanation without even an apology for wasting my day!!!! Also, the woman working the cashier (I didn't have to deal with) had an attitude with everyone that walked in.I couldn't believe the way she talked to customers and coworkers. She made a big deal about taking cash from a poor customer who just had to pay over $1700 on service and was complaining to anyone that would hear her that she was doing two jobs! Also, it seemed like everyone there was to busy eating pizza! I luckily didn't didn't buy my car there and will never go back there again!!! Seriously I bought a Volvo for the service and now I am debating why I bought it!! THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!

The Service Staff and workmanship of this shop are outstanding. They are friendly and prompt in greeting you upon your arrival, not any special circumstances, and seamlessly obtain the results you need. I had a failure of a part not even under warranty any longer, and they were able to get the replacement part and service written-off. Courteous staff gave me a complimentary ride home and helped out with transferring carseats, too. Their waiting rooms are well-maintained and provide for many types of environments, from leather recliners to computer stations, television, coffee, and a child's play room. These folks are professional and I go back to them time and time again. Great job every time!

I am now on my third car from this dealer. Started on Volvos in 2004 and have stayed with them since. We were in a recent car accident that totaled our XC60. No serious injuries on either of us. Bought that from Volvo of Lisle and went back for a replacement. Not only did they get us into a great car the first time but set us up with a great deal this time. No one plans for an accident so this was unbudgeted, of course. Chris and team made it easy and affordable. We started with John Taylor but he was busy that day and handed us over to Chris. Very professional team with the customer's experience in mind. John could have been selfish but thought of us during this transaction. Both guys are pro's and are not your usual greasy car salemen.

I arrived with my 24 yr old daughter looking for a used car and turned her over to Chris Bella. With patience, he listened to her needs and started looking for the Civic of her dreams (having lost her 04 in a rear end accident). After showing us several choices on the neighboring lot, we took one of the for a test drive. Nice, but not quite it so again we went into the showroom where he checked the stock on the computer. After comparing several, he noticed one we hadn't seen and within minutes he had found and pulled the perfect Civic up front. Great service, perfect fit, very fair deal. Will be returning again.

I use Volvo of Lisle because I always get friendly, helpful service for my Volvo and for my wife's Volvo. It is nice to be able to bring your car where you can trust the people to attend to it as needed. It gives my wife and I peace of mind that we have one less thing to worry about. Our cars always come back not only running well but they are always washed and look great too. The service people are very attentive and helpful. My personal preference is to call John Korallus to schedule any work on the cars because when I discuss a problem with John I have every confidence it will be dealt with.

This service department is a joke. There is always more problems with my car after I receive service. There was even a scratch on the side of my car that nobody told me about. Volvo was hoping I would drive away so they wouldn't have to fix their carelessness. They will do anything not to replace warranty items. Expect long waits and lazy, bare minimum service. In fact, when I had a series of problems, the service manager would not even talk to us. he sent his assistant. We had to go over his head to get our warranty item replaced. The only words that accurately describe this service dept. are LIARS and THIEVES. Save the headache and buy your Volvo anywhere else than Volvo of lisle.

Took my Volvo in for scheduled free maintenance and also got a interior/exterior detailing. Everyone was friendly and helpful and after the detailing, my car was actually gleaming, it looked fantastic. I received a ride from Volvo to the nearby train station and was picked up in the evening. I came for oil change and replacement of indicator light on the gear selector box. Both were done satrisfactorily. However I was a bit unprepared for the unexpected cost of the bulb replacement when the bill came because I asked for an estimate at check in and i was told to wait at the customer lounge but I never got it. Other than that everything was ok. John also showed me why I need to fix the engine block anchor on my car.

Customer service (Princess, internet personnel) was outstanding. When Princess contacted me she was not pushy or overbearing. She listened to what I was looking for and emailed me information about the various cars they had in their inventory. Once I made an appointment to come in to see a sales manager all communication ceased with Princess and shifted to the sales person Rick. I thought that dynamic was interesting. The staff was friendly, polite and professional. The two times I visited Lisle of Volvo, the personnel staff greeted me with a friendly genuine smile. As a female, I didn't feel like the salesmen were condescending or pressured me into buying a car. I was in control of the buying situation the entire time. My experience with Lisle of Volvo was not stressful at all ( I was more excited than stressful). The stressful part was prior to stepping into the dealerships reading about various cars on the internet and narrowing down my choice to the Volvo S60. The paperwork was explained quickly and could have been explained a bit more thoroughly but I was able to follow along. However, Rick did a thorough job at going over the features of my car. At the last hour I changed the level of car I wanted because I did not want to over exert my budget. Rick showed no frustration about this. He expressed his understanding which I thought was commendable. The price was well within my budget; I received a rebate and a Cosco gift card that's on its way! Overall, I love my car! I was in this dealership 2 years ago and explored purchasing a Volvo vehicle but chose a different vehicle brand and dealership. Lolita was very pleased that I came back and always knew I would! The Volvo XC60 was the perfect car for myself and two teenage driving daughters. Lolita's customer service skills went above and beyond just selling a car...she worked on getting us the right vehicle for the family. I love Lolita's spark, personality, professionalism and most of all sincere attitude while working in a market that only concentrates on the sale ($$$) rather than the individual. Ken Kowal was also a pleasure to work with when the husband came in for the final numbers and the negoitations began. After spotting a couple of available used cars (Camry XLE and Escape Limited) on Cars.com, called and spoke to John Taylor. He provided the information that I needed, and I told him that we'd like to get out there (about 30 miles away) for a test drive. Scheduling that was difficult for us, for a variety of reasons. John followed up by phone a couple of times, always courteous and friendly - never pushy. After a couple of weeks, I was finally able to make arrangements with John to drive two cars. Both were ready to go when I arrived. We discussed pricing and I told John that we would be making a decision within a couple of days. He did inform me that there was a potential buyer for one of the cars, but did not suggest that I make a deal that day. As my wife was unable to accompany me on this visit, I would take my chances. (Both cars were exactly as advertised, and either would have been a good choice.) That evening, my wife and I decided we didn't need another SUV, so we would go with the Camry. Before I could call John the next morning, he called to let me know that the Escape had indeed been sold. I told him that we would go with the Camry, and I put down a credit card deposit to hold it. John said the deposit was refundable if my wife was not happy with the car. We agreed to a price, and my trade-in would be evaluated when we came back. John suggested that I could get ahead of financing paperwork by filling out the application on their website, which I did.When we arrived on Monday, John greeted us with the keys to the Camry and sent us off on another test drive, while they appraised out trade-in. My wife agreed that the car would be perfect for us. John gave me the appraisal of our car, and it was exactly what I figured it would be. With our trade, the cost of the Camry was within $200 of what I had hoped for. Better yet, it was about $1,500 less than anything comparable that we had looked at. Once that was settled, we worked with Tommy Korallus on the financing. He had all the figures ready, and we merely had to determine the length of the loan. The rate was better than I expected and very competitive. Tommy was very friendly and upbeat, and actually made the transaction fun. After sharing a few laughs, Tommy was off to print up all of the paperwork. After signing all the documents, we realized that from arrival to departure, the entire process took under two hours. I can't ever remember spending so little time making a car deal.This was the most enjoyable car buying experience we've ever had. I would highly recommend working with John and Tommy to anyone looking for a Volvo or a solid used car. A couple of days after our purchase, I got a call from John to let me know that (even after my wife and I thoroughly went through our old car) the staff found something that we had left behind. My wife also realized that she left a favorite CD in the stereo. John was going to put the items in an envelope and send them to us. While either of these things would not have been greatly missed, it was very thoughtful of the staff and John to retrieve and return them.

My car battery wasn't holding a charge. I called this facility three times in about twenty four hours for their advice, which was helpful and reassuring. I finally brought it in on short notice and waited for service. The Volvo of Lisle crew researched the problem thoroughly, and John kept me informed and reassured me throughout. They solved the problem and very kindly checked everything--including the air pressure in my tires since I'll be taking a trip soon--at no charge to me. They're always busy, and still routinely take time to focus on each customer and service issue as if we're the only ones there. They're great with questions and tips, too. It was a stressful day for me otherwise, and their careful attention to the car eased my mind. I have counted on this service team for years with two different Volvo wagons, both great cars. We just love the brand and the feeling of safety it gives us driving this machine.And purchasing a vehicle from VOLVO OF ISLE and specifically JOHN TAYLOR was an extremely pleasant and non-confrontational experience.I received a great price from John on the Internet and that price was maintained when I went in to purchase the vehicle. Since my XC60 had to be ordered since I wanted all of the options, John kept me up-to-date on the expected delivery date. When the car arrived, every feature was explained to my wife and I and then demonstrated. There was absolutely no rush in doing this presentation. In summary, I got a great price, there was no haggling, no going to talk to the manager about pricing, and it was the BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I have ever had. Service department is top notch! Everytime I have my XC90 serviced, from oil changes to any repair work, the service department staff is always friendly, professional and knowledgable. Service work is done in an expeditious manner and your in and out in a reasonable amount of time. We all hope our cars run well for us all the time, and I'm sure most of us find it less than enjoyable to take our vehicles in for repairs. With that said... I've pretty much been a Chevy guy for most of my life (I still own a Tahoe). Most (not all) of the Chevy dealerships I've worked with in the past have been sub par at best. One in particular was miserable... I'll get to that in a moment...My XC90 (purchased in 2010) is my first Volvo and so far the experiment with this has been mostly positive... enhanced by the excellent service team at Volvo of Lisle.Initially... I purchased this vehicle (used) at Dan Wolf Chevrolet in Naperville. The lady sales person was nice but not the most knowledgable individual about cars. During the test drive I noticed the vehicle "missed" under acceleration. The "stutter" wasn't severe, but was definately noticable. She couldn't feel it.... however, everything else about the vehicle I loved and she assured me that they would take care of the problem....When I picked up the vehicle it still hesitated under acceleration. Nothing had been fixed. I pointed this out to her and she told me that "service" could not find anything wrong with the car... insinuating that I was imagining this. I fussed and fummed a bit but took it home. I drove it that way for a few days... brought it back fussed and fumed a bit more... and they sent it back to service... in fact I actually went for a drive with a "techician" and he had difficulty "detecting" the problem as well. Finally got a call from the "service manager" the next day who told me that this problem was inherent in this particular vehicles design and there was nothing they could do about it.....I fused and fummed a little stonger this time, and went to the Sales Manager who finally sent the vehicle to Volvo of Lisle. Interestingly enough they diagnosed the problem immediately. The vehicle is equiped with twin turbos... and one of the turbos was malfuctioning and needed to be replaced. After that repair was made, the vehicle ran like a top!!!The grief I endured for about a week (including two rental cars at my cost) was not what I expected from a dealership like Dan Wolf Chevolet. Most of the staff I dealt with there acted like I was imagining the problem.... especially the service department manager.Kudos to Volvo of Lisle and shame on Dan Wolf Chevrolet. If I do buy another Chevy... it won't be from Dan Wolf.I've been deaing with Volvo of Lisle now ever since and as I said... the team there is top notch! I'd recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used Volvo.

My reason for coming back to Volvo of Lisle is two fold. I purchased an S40 back in 2005 at a great price and was very satisfied. The other was because the President(unknown to me) of the company was shopping at my place of work and sincerely listened to my long sad story about, how I totalled my S60 in the recent floods. He then gave me a card without pressure and said if your in the market for another Volvo come by and see us we will take care of you. I went out to Volvo of Lisle, a few days later and I now have a new love a 2010 S80.... Princess is new but definitely an asset to the delearship and appreciated by myself and my husband. Lolita was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! Tom you are PHENOMINAL!!! & Ken thanks for understanding how to make the customer feel important. This team as a whole was patient, kind and genuinely interested in my needs.... even though it was almost closing time they never made us feel rushed or pressured to buy they were still getting us tea & soda and making sure we were comfortable. In addition to having a scheduled oil change I was having trouble synching my phone and getting Nav to come through the speakers. Kelsey got my phone to synch. Then she and her team tried all kinds of tricks, including calling Volvo, to get Nav to come through the speakers. Apparently my phone is one that is not compatable. The team did come up with a viable solution (and a very thrifty one at that) to solve my Nav problem. They went above and beyond to solve this problem.

Purchased a CPO Volvo there several weeks ago. After getting the car home, had service light come on the very next day. Also discovered some flaws in the driver's side mirror casing. Took the car in today and the problem with the anti-skid light was fixed. Sales manager had agreed to fix the mirror problem at no charge, once the part came in. Service technicians were efficient, friendly, patient, and thorough. The sales person I bought the car through was very friendly and patient with me. I would not hesitate to buy another car there again.

Their selection of cars is great, and the cars are inspected and brought upto date on maintenance, and they stand behind them with a 3 month/3,000 mile powertrain warranty. When buying a used car, at least for me, peace of mind wins over price anyday. While only time will tell about my purchase, I feel confident everyday driving my used 2006 Acura TSX that I bought from Volvo of Lisle.

Never in my life would I feel compelled to write a positive review for a car dealership. But I have never encountered a car salesperson like Yvonne. She was meticulous, friendly and helpful. She picked me up from the train station, and saved me from walking on the icy pavements. What impressed me most is her frankness. She answered all of my questions about the car's previous owner and repair/maintenance history in detail. When she did not know the answer, she told me that she didn't know, and then went to find the mechanic.

Once again, John and the service techs have done an outstanding job with my 2000 V40. It is approaching 150K, and still rides smooth, beats most cars "off the line", and rounds a corner like a sports car (it's a wagon). Took our old one in for service and a beautiful copper S60 caught our eye and that was it. Sticker was about $5k more than what I wanted to spend, but the equipment and value sold us. We found a used Volvo XC90 on Autotrader.com and went in to look at it. We did not know anything about the dealership before this first visit, but I can now say that I would definitely recommend them. Rick was very helpful and personable right from the beginning. He was not at all pushy, and was very straight forward with everything, including their cost of add-on accessories. To know their cost and to know that they weren't overly marking items up, felt very reassuring. It was refreshing to have an "open book" situation where everyone knew what was at stake. When we left with our new car, we felt like we had gotten a great deal and were treated fairly. We looked at several used cars at other dealerships, and this is the only one where we didn't feel like we were being pressured by typical "car salesman" tactics. If you want to be treated with respect and human decency, I would definitely recommend the folks at Volvo of Lisle.

Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. And I have had some bad ones.From listening to 3 members of the sales staff look at people out the front window and make fun of potential customers as they came on the lot - to Ken Kowal's arrogant "matter of fact" explanation of why they would need to make $5K on a used car, it was all bad. If you go there, I wish you luck. As you approach the front door, keep in mind that the sales staff is probably verbally degrading you. And the sales manager is preparing to over charge you.

I have purchased all my Volvos from your dealership over many years - with all the accompanying checkups and service. I have never been disappointed. The last car I purchased (7-26-12) my salesperson was Mr. Philip Early. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, answered all my questions - and then answered some I should have asked. He spent an inordinate amount of time with me during my test drive (even though I am sure he knew the sale was a given) and then did it all over again when I brought my wife back the next day when we actually purchased the care. Kudos also are due to Ken Kowal and Tommy Korallus for their assistance during the entire transaction. Mr. Korallus makes the financial part of the deal almost pleasant (Ha). While on subsequent trips Chris was not available, he made sure I was taken care of by another staff member. I was so nervous for months looking at used cars, then when I decided on a Saturday that I was going to get one. It was a year ago that we purchased our xc60 using the Overseas Delivery program. And we cannot wait to do it again! I highly recommend buying a Volvo this way......two tickets to Sweden, a night in Gothenburg, factory tour and lunch.....and then drive away with your car to tour anywhere in Europe (I loved staying in Sweden)....plus you can completely customize your car! There is no downside to this at all. I also recommend having John Taylor at Volvo of Lisle as your salesman. He really goes above and beyond to help customers thru the process. Even a year later, he continues to answer any questions I have as well as helping me with service appointments. Volvo for life!

Bought my vehicle from them a few months ago and just had the oil changed the other day for free there (you get the first few oil changes free in addition to a few other benefits from buying from this dealership). It was a painless and pleasant experience as they have a very nice waiting room with comfortable chairs to relax in while your car gets checked out.When I was first looking for a car I contacted the dealership via email with some questions and got them answered the next day. When I finally made it out to the dealership John and myself went to test drive a few models I was interested in and ultimately got saddled up a few hours later. The process was very smooth and John was great in answering any questions I had. When I came back in a few days later, John showed me all the features that the car had to offer and to make sure I knew where everything was located. Tommy brought out the paperwork and had it in order so I just had to sign on the dotted line on a couple of forms and were done. Easily the best dealership I have worked with in purchasing a car.

I went to this dealer because I got a $18 dollar oil change coupon in the mail. It was the first and last time I will ever take my car to Volvo of Lise for service. During the service the tech broke the wires for my satellite radio making it unusable until a $15 dollar new part was ordered. I turned around and immediately showed them the damage. They said that I would have to purchase the part and then they would reimburse me for the cost. When I called them and let them know the price they said that they were unable to reimburse me for the purchase of the part, but they could give me a service credit, which I will not use because I will not be taking my car back to Volvo of Lisle again.

Great experience in buying our C70. Bob was extremely helpful in getting the deal closed. He also told us about the Volvo Overseas Delivery Program. He explained the adventure that Volvo could offer us by buying the car at the dealership, but "picking up the car in Sweden at the factory. He also told us how to look at the Volvo web site to see about the trip. We did take the offer and "picked up our car in Sweden". While we chose not to drive the car there, it was exciting and everything as advertised. It was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Hassle free, friendly people and exciting adventure. Our ten day trip to Denmark and Sweden cost us less than a long weekend in NYC! The people at Volvo travel were also extremely professional and very helpful with ideas. I have not taken any vacation that went as advertised and without a hitch. Can't wait to buy another Volvo and do it again.Now we have our C70 and loving it.Thanks Bob.

After doing quite a bit of research when looking for a new car, including a visit to the Chicago Auto Show, we stopped in late one Friday night to look around. Lolita Cook answered all our questions and took us for a test drive. It was only later that we realized that the place was only a few minutes from closing when we stopped in and we kept them late (sorry about being so oblivious). Lolita recognized that we were still looking around and we were never pressured.I stopped in a couple of weeks later when our vehicle was being serviced next store (Honda) and since Lolita was busy, Rick was more than happy to help answer my questions. Highly recommend. My first Volvo. Bob was very knowledgeable which I would expect. However, after purchase he took the time to spend with me going through the car setting things up and showing me how to use all of the features. Also, when it came to negotiating the price he was straight with me and cut out all the bs back and forth. I did a test drive and I when I walked out of the dealership the first night, I knew exactly what I would pay versus comparing against a range of guesses from some of the other dealers for other cars I was considering. Also, I failed to catch the name of the Finance Manager, but he was very helpful. I had some questions about transferring my plates and to make a long story short, we concluded our call with him saying, "We try to make things easy on you." And that's exactly what they did.

I walked into this dealership looking for a dark blue Volvo S60. I was greeted by Ms Lolita Cook. She was friendly and knowledgeable and showed me the available S60s including a blue one. I shared with her the packages I wanted to have all of which are factory-installed. She encouraged me to drive an S60 which I did. My previous car was a 2000 S80. I wanted a smaller car with BLIS, the T5 premium pkg, the climate pkg, and the multimedia pkg. I told her I wanted to trade-in my old car. There were no available cars in the area with the packages I wanted. She introduced me to Mr. Schultz and we discussed trade-in price after he drove it. He also suggested that he would have to order it from Sweden in order for it to have the packages I wanted and it might take up to 3 mos to arrive. I agreed and made a down payment. In all, I made 3 visits, the last one to pick up my car. During the time I waited for the car, Ms. Cook called me weekly to update me on the arrival which moved up as time went along. Ms. Cook was a joy to work with. She was always in good humor, polite, friendly and has a good sense of humor. Both she and Mr. Schultz (new car manager) were always available when I called with questions. I ordered a special cover for the back seat and it was available for installation when I arrived to pick up the car. Buying the car from Volvo of Lisle was an excellent experience. Both Ms. Cook and Mr. Schultz went out of their way to ensure that everything went well and that I received what I ordered and did so with friendliness and competency.

I have worked with Bob for the last six years for the leases of our family vehicles. Went in a few months before I bought my Volvo T6 AWD and they had a decent selection. I held off and when I went back in Bob told me they had no more on the lot. Instead of blowing me off, he advised me of different ways to handle the situation...order online, wait till they get some in, or go overseas (their special promotion). I decided to give my email address to him and he notified me immediatly when they got one car in. I probably overpaid, but it's supply vs. demand. I loved the car and needed one asap. I felt overwhelmed with the car and a few days later, I met with Bob and he went over everything with me again. I felt very comfortable and love my car. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone.

Negociation is the nature of business and this rude salesman act crazy while you counteroffer! Never go to this store! the person there needs to be trained how to be polite to others instead of just want clients pay higher prices. Worst service with unreasonable price! Lolita and Thomas were very personable and knowledgeable and made the overall buying experience enjoyable. Lolita was able to adequately answer all of my questions regarding the 2008 C30 I was purchasing as well as questions pertaining to newer versions of the C30. Left the dealership feeling as though we had not gotten a good deal. The trade in value was extremely low but due to time constraints we were not able to shop our trade in. We felt as though they took advantage of the circumstance. If you are using a trade in as part of your transaction, they will not give you a fair price. Then used high pressure to complete the transaction. Beware. Also, do not let them know where you live. They will try to mark up based on your address. Bob was a nice guy but we could tell that he could not do anything regarding the price. His job was to describe the car. In that role he did fine.They did not follow up on promises to do additional work on car purchased. Did not follow through on request to have service record forwarded. When I dropped off paperwork two days after the transaction, they "forgot" I was waiting in the showroom. I had to go find the finance manager who I was waiting for and the the response I received was "oh, I got to talking to one of my bankers and forgot you were there." When in fact I could see that he had just been talking to a co-worker the entire time.The simple fact that they have not followed up or tried to contact us underscores the fact that they did not want us as repeat customers.

Car was advertised under cars.com. Came in was greeted by Tommy. Asked to see the car and Tommy promptly went to get the keys. No waiting games! That was wonderful! Took the car for test rides with and with out top on or off and again when my husband came by. Entire staff was very friendly. Did not not feel like I was prey amongst hawks. The negotiation process went with ease seeing as though the car was sensibly priced in the first place. The finance manager was straight forward. No attempts to up sell any extra products or warranties. This had to be the most pleasurable car buying experience ever!!!

Had a very good experience purchasing a 2012 model from Lisle Volvo. We initially applied for an "Internet quote" through a third party website. This dealership responded quickly with some initial quotes and was diligent in getting back to me with answers. Once we worked out a specific vehicle configuration, they had the most attractive offer when compared with other dealerships in the Chicago area.We drove over to their location on a Saturday and met John Taylor, who was very friendly. He showed us several color and option variants from the lot and we made our pick. The price was handled in a straightforward manner, without any last minute increases or "omissions" vs. the initial offer. We also traded in our previous vehicle and got a very reasonable offer, that we were able to accept. The only downside is that it took a bit long to get all the paperwork together once we agreed on the terms. Once it was all done, John took the time to go over the vehicle with us one more time and helped us get some of the settings right.Long story short, we drove off with a new car the same day and have been very satisfied with the overall experience. Strongly recommended, especially if you use the "Internet quote" approach.

I had never dealt with this dealership and was new to the Volvo product. From my first call to Volvo of Lisle I was impressed. I took an S70, which I bought from my brother, in for an oil change and an overall evaluation. They said all was up to date and just did the oil change. A few weeks later my S70 would not start and I was in a store parking lot. They offered to come bring my car in for service and drive me home. I must explain I am not close to the dealership it is at te very least 30 minutes to get there in sparse traffic! The service given by the Lisle Volvo dealership is something I have never experienced at any other dealership. Since that special encounter I have been a loyal customer and refer every person I know looking for a new automobile or great service to them. It is also the only dealership where the service was department associates are happy and it flows to the customer. What a lucky find with the acquisition of my first Volvo and Volvo of Lisle! A Volvo customer forever, since 1999.

Over the course of a couple weeks and dealer visits, I was able to gradually learn about the car, optional packages, pricing and financing without any pressure. Mr. Makawka was a very pleasant and knowledgeable salesperson. He was very professional, offering his assistance without being over-bearing. My wife and I visited this dealership earlier in the week and returned for a follow-up visit. On our return visit we asked for Bob, who greeted us by extending a warm welcome and by initiating the conversation by asking my wife if she had come to any conclusions on what kind of vehicle she was considering. My wife appreciated this direct questioning, as we were looking to purchase a vehicle for her. My wife shared her opinions on what she was looking for in a vehicle. Bob proceeded to show her the vehilcle she initially was interested in earlier in the week. However, after going through it and getting a better feel for it, she decided she wanted to look at a few other kinds of vehicles. Bob showed my wife three other vehicles, answering questions about each of them. The whole time specifically engaging my wife in conversation, sinced this was going to be her vehicle. My wife finally found the vehicle she wanted, but it was being held for a dealer in Missouri. Bob requested some time to investigate the matter, to find out if this vehicle could be sold to my wife. A very short time later, Bob informed us it could be purchased and the transaction was completed. This experience was one of the most enjoyable car purchases my wife and I have experienced. This is a "big" statement, because I have purchased and/or leased over forty vehicles in my lifetime. I feel we were treated professionally, fairly, and in a pleasant manner without any feelings of pressure or trying to be talking into a deal. This was our first time purchsing a vehicle from this dealership and we are looking forward to a continued positive relationship in the future.

A wheel bearing was making noise. I brought my car in and the issue was diagnosed very quickly by Dan's freindly service tech (I do not remember his name). They had time to do the repairs as I waited. Thinking this would take several hours, I was surprised to hear that the work would be completed within an hour. I am confident that this dealer is very poorly managed. We had a terrible experience once with the service advisor (too long a story to go into here but they were being unhelpful and apparently dishonest) about something, we and tried to contact the general manager, AND the sales manager (we had bought the car from this dealer) and neither would return the call. Only when we literally went to Volvo in Sweden as wel as the US sales office did we get the dealership to assist, quickly, but I am sure reluctantly. Obviously you shouldn't have to go to those lengths.Other issues - 1) ridiculous XXX-mile "packages" where if you ask if you can eliminate a couple of completely unrelated items, you could be that the price will be HIGHER. 2) some of the items in these lists of things that are part of the package will make a car person break out laughing, such as chimney-sweeping the exhaust system or other silliness. 3) if you try to upgrade a part within the package, they will quote you a price that is much higher than if you would have just done that one item from scratch. For example, if an oil change is part of the package and you ask them to use synthetic oil, they will quote you a price to 'upgrade' that is more than than the cost of the entire oil change (with synthetic) anywhere else. Then they tell you that the reason why it is so much, and not reflective of the incermental cost, is that "in the package, the oil change is 'free'". My sense is that you can literally chase them all over the place while they state that each item in the service package is "free". There is no chance of getting pricing from them that is commensurate with the incremental cost of your request. Really, you feel like you're dealing with a band of gypsys. 4) they will not do things that other dealers will do as a customer courtesy, or as a matter of common sense, without charging you for it. You may get a full service there but have them charge you to reset the service light. There may be available software/firmware upgrades via Volvo service bulletins that they will (attempt to) charge hundreds of dollars to apply for you, when these items are free of charge and it takes 10 minutes or less to apply them. Most dealers will do it for customer goodwill AND because some of these upgrades may enhance driveability and make you more satisfied with your vehicle. Business 101, people. But I guess these people didn't take that course.Do not be suckered in by any of this. Take your car somewhere else for service. Sure, if you want a Volvo and you walk into their showroom and like your salesman, like the car, and like the price, buy from them. But do NOT be under the mistaken impression that they are now your friends or that you part of the Volvo of Lisle "family", or any such nonsense.

I was referred to Volvo of Lisle years ago as the only honest Volvo dealership in the area. Since then, I have bought one or two used cars and leased two new ones from them. The latest is a leased 2010 XC70 wagon. I knew my lease was running out in February of '10 and began working with Lolita months in advance to get the best deal I could from Volvo of Lisle. I became an enormous and persistent pest, turning down offer after offer. Finally, just before the close of '09, I got an offer from Lolita which was very good and had to be accepted by the end of the year. I did accept it and am now driving the car. Throughout it all, Lolita maintained her sense of humor (which is great) and never got annoyed at having to go back to the drawing board. She even drove me down to the drop-off terminal for the old leased car. I really enjoyed working with her, would do so again and highly recommend her. Ken and Tom were also a pleasure to work with, and the service department has been as well.

My 1999 S-70 back when it was under the warranty,the rear discs had warped which was a known issue.Oak Park Volvo (where I bought the car)refused to to replace them even after I called the local rep and he encouraged them to do so.I went to Volvo of Lisle and they replaced them under warranty.They won my future business. I have since bought a 2009 S-60 T-5 from Volvo of Lisle and went to Sweden on the overseas delivery program.I am so glad I did it! If you have not thought about I encourage you to do so. John Taylor was my salesman and took care of every aspect of the trip.He was and is a very pleasant man to work with when purchasing a car.Great follow up when I would leave a voice mail with questions etc.Whenever I pop in the dealer to buy parts for my older Volvo I am always sure to say hello to him.He is that kind of guy and I won't forget all his help and just plain kindness. When I moved to Illinois from Southern California, I needed to find a dealer for service on my 2005 Volvo XC90. I found Volvo of Lisle. In the beginning, I did have one experience with a service guy that was less than desirable. He no longer works there. After the one time, I was given Mike Librizzi. My experience was fabulous and I always use him for my service. I have now been going to Volvo of Lisle for over 3 years for service and have been very happy with the level of service they provide. My husband purchased a 2007 Volvo S60R 2 years ago and we now take his vehicle to Volvo of Lisle as well. There have been a couple of times that MIke was not available and I have requested Dave Harris. He has also been a great help in the service department. Needless to say, I have recommended Mike Librizzi at Volvo of Lisle to all of my friends that have Volvo vehicles and it is my understanding that they are quite pleased with the service he has provided them as well.

Lolita was very attentive to my needs. I called her at the last minute, after I'd made my decision to make the purchase. She had everything ready for me when I got to the Volvo of Lisle Dearlership. I was very impressed with her knowledge and leadership. She assisted me with the sticker for my car, which is needed in Chicago. I have given all of my sisters(3)her name and where she is located, in hopes they will visit Lolita at Volvo of Lisle. I've also given her name to as many of my friends and co-workers so that they will possibly contact her, as their need for a new or use car come into apparent view.

I went to the dealer in response to their promo on 2009 cars with extended service agreements. Lolita Cook in sales greeted me and we discussed my options for a new lease. I wanted to downsize from my S60 and we looked at S40s. Lolita is very knowledgable and made the process very easy. She was with me through the issue of securing financing and assisted me in every way possible. This is my third leased Volvo from this dealer. I will continue to deal with them because of people like Lolita Cook. Also they have an "Outsatanding" Service Dept. especially John Koralus. I have told my friends that I continue to deal with this company because they do not just sell you a car and leave you out there, you become like a part of the Volvo of Lisle family. They know me they know my cars and I always feel comfortable going into their facility.

I am always impressed with the level of service I receive from Volvo of Lisle. Mike Librizzi was my service advisor and he always takes care of me. I would not go to any other Volvo dealer even though I pass 2 other dealers to be to Volvo of Lisle. I have purchased 2 Volvos at Lisle, and because of there service department, I will purchase there again.

I went in for a $19.95 Oil Change. They had found a TieRod loose. They brought me back to the shop to show me (like the old days). Their first priority is saftey,thats why they found the bad part during their saftey check. Their price was cheeper than the "specialist" down the road. A great value for a cheep oil change.

In a time were money is tight and poeple are feeling very weary of spending money, Robert Warren worked with to get me to a place where I felt comfortable about my payment and the money I was about to spend. This was my third visit to see Robert about a Volvo not because we could not get a deal done but because he wanted to find me just the right car. I was never pressure to purchase a car and was honestly advise on each car I looked at and he even weighed the pro and cons of each car to what I was trading in and what I would now be spending. After each visit, I left even more deterimned that this was the only dealership I need to be working with. 3 times is a charm! On my third visit to Robert, I found what I feel was the prefect car. Not only did it have everything I wanted at a price I could afford but Robert was able to still work with pricing to make the deal even better. I am 40 and never seen a dealer do that! Then we meet with Tom Schultz the manager and worked on the financing of the car. Just running figures at first Tom gave a very good proposal. As Tom worked on the fianlization of the deal which was taking quit some time, my husband had a bad feeling. He thought they were going to do a bait and switch. You know... higher rate, more down payment and low and behold Robert walked out of Tom's office and said I am sorry it is taking so long but... I could tell my husband was ready for the "but" and Robert said Tom was shopping your rate and was able to get a lower rate then we originally discussed. I thought my husband was going to fall of his chair. It was almost a whole point lower, making my payment even lower then what was origanally porposed. I almost jumped out of my skin with excitment!!!!In the end, Tom himself sat down with my husband and I and walked us through all the financials with Robert right there. I actually saw my husband's demeanor change from very defensive to very relaxed and postive. The more Tom and Robert walked us through the signing of the papers we both felt extremely good about our purchase.Both Robert and Tom could not have been any friendier and Robert REALLY listen to what I wanted and what I could afford!!!! I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. It was truly a pleasant expreience in a very troubled time!I actually can not say enough about the kindness of Robert and he honesty!

They always try to find extras to charge for. You bring in your vehicle for one simple fix and something major is ALWAYS wrong. Unfortunately I've found that they tend to fix the wrong problem.Here's an example.After having a new muffler installed I asked for a new chrome trim end. There had been one on my old muffler which they didn't want to use even though it was perfectly fine. I was told it would be $165 to install this piece, so I went to the parts department and purchased a new one for $20 pushed it on the end of my new muffler went home and screwed it on tight. It only had one screw to help tighten it up and took about 5 seconds to do.

Lolita Cook was knowledgable, professional, and friendly. She followed up with communication, helped to find a compromise in price between the dealer and myself, and got me back into the dealer to purchase. Great value, friendly salespeople. I will recommend this dealer to my friends.

I have bought five cars at this dealership. The sales process literally takes only minutes. No haggling. The service department is nothing short of outstanding. I have never had to go back because a repair was not done properly. More importantly, the integrity of the service department is beyond reproach. I always feel as if the only thing that matters is whether or not I am going to leave the service department feeling as if I received nothing short of honest and excellent service. I have never bought a part for any of my cars other than at the Volvo of Lisle dealership. This includes "generic" items such as headlights and tires. This is a great place to buy a car from and a great place to have your car serviced at.

This dealer is by far the best Volvo dealer I have ever been to. I would not go anywhere else. I have been taking my Volvo's to Volvo of Lisle since 1995, and have had nothing but positive experiences. Tim is my usual service advisor and is one of the nicest and most honest people I have dealt with.

Worked with Bob Makowka when I was looking for a certified S40. They had several in stock and we quickly came to a price that was actually right off the bat lower than two other dealerships. I did a bit of haggling and was out of there in under and hour and a half.About 6 months after the sale I had a wierd issue where the car wouldn't start. Completely dead even after replacing the battery. Apparently it was a simple fuse that had blown. I called volvo and the car was towed to their location. They arranged for a loaner and called later the next day to let me know everything was fixed. When I came in, a tech came out and showed me where the fuses were in case it happened again.Great sales and great service.

Took car in because 'Check Engine' light came on. I was told told after sitting in waiting area for 3 hours that pads on brakes needed to be replaced. They gave me an estimate and made it a point to let me know that they usually estimate low. Well they estimated about $500 low. Two days later the 'Check Engine' light came on again. I had to drive it back to Lisle, IL which is about an hour from my home. They told me that they would have to remove the gas tank to see what the problem was and that alone would take 4 mechanics. I got in my car and left. i took it to a mechanic that I had used before I purchased the volvo. He laughed and told me that 1, maybe 2 mechanics could remove a gas tank. I called lisle Volvo many, many times to voice my complaints and they pretty much kept telling me that I needed to bring the car in for them to understand what the problem was. I will NEVER go to them again for anything and tell anyone who asks about my experience.
