My low mileage Volvo S60 burns oil. About 1 quart every 1,000-1,200 miles. The Volvo service department offered little help, other than a major expense to do a ring job or replace the engine, and left me on my own to call corporate Volvo. They said that amount of oil consumption is within acceptable limits. They also recommended changing the oil every 5,000 miles instead of the manuals 10,000 mile interval. I would have hoped Volvo stood behind their products better. If it's within acceptable limits why would I need to pay them for a ring job or a new engine? If it's within acceptable limits why do they suggest cutting the oil change frequency in half? Edit 9/21/2021- Called you back Nick, you said you'd call me back. Left messages for you twice since. You have not returned my calls. Thanks.

The dealership is a smaller home like feel. The sales reps and owner are very friendly and come out and get involved in your sale early in the process. All the sales process is done open computer where there are no hidden fees or reserve discounts. Test drive, car prep, delivery quick and complete. They made us feel very at home and satisfied with our decision. My wife is a tough shopper and they put her in a good comfort zone early in the process.

After over a month and several bad experiences with other dealers I spoke with Jim Miller at Volvo of Princeton. He processed my application and gave me my options quickly, in a manner I could easily understand then made it all work for with the car I wanted. It was so nice after bait and switch, price add on's and other nefarious tricks from dealers who wasted my time and lost my patronage for life. I cannot thank Jim and all the kind people at VoP who took a nightmare and made it a pleasant dream for my first time driver daughter. Whatever car I want I will NEVER go anyplace else without speaking to the people at VoP first. The are a 1st class group who teat the customer fairly, attempt to help them with there decision as much as they can and deliver a very high quality product. Thanks everyone, we could not be happier with our purchase and I am coming back for that Volvo you had in the showroom for myself !

I went here hoping to get my 1st Volvo but with a very limited budget. Nils Falk the salesman and Jim Miller in finance tried every which way to get us into a pre-owned XC90. My budget and credit just couldn't handle it. So they went through their inventory and found something that was. These guys invested several hours in 3 sessions over 2 days for a low dollar sale. They were extremely patient and caring about our situation with a " let's find a way to get this done" attitude, loaning my wife a car when I had to go to work for a few hours, halting the process, so she wouldn't be stranded there waiting. Everyone there was friendly and up-beat and got us back on the road. Kudos for great professionalism and effective service. I didn't get my Volvo this time around, but when I'm ready for it I'll be back at Volvo of Princeton. They deserve my praise and my business! Jim Miller was such a gas!

We just purchased a 2013 Volvo XC90 and are very happy with this Dealership. In fact, they have restored our confidence in what great service and honesty should be when buying a car. We called ahead to let them know we were traveling about an hour to come see their inventory and would like to have an appointment to see what they may have available. From first contact, the representative was polite and followed up with us to confirm appointment date and time. Once we arrived, the salesman, Nils, was helpful, listened, made recommendations, knew the cars features, etc...all the things we could ask for from a saleperson. The finance contact, Brian, was friendly, professional, made adjustments in his schedule to meet ours, and helped us move forward respectfully. We also decided to traded in our old 2006 XC90 and were able to come up with a fair number that worked for both us and the dealer. Here is the best part, there were some smaller items that were unknown at the time we made the purchase. For Example: the 2nd key fob was misplaced. We (buyers) were under the impression that the services records were all up to date for the current mileage, etc. AFTER, the sale, we were coming back to the dealership to finish up the loose end with the key fob, which they took care of, and upon reviewing the service records, we discovered that the maintenance was not up to date like we expected. Bottom line, Princeton Volvo, the used car manager, service department...all did their job and in our opinion flat out did the right thing without being difficult. As buyers, my wife and I were very pleased with everyone at the dealership and they have found a loyal customer who is happy to advocate for them based on their actions. We don't mind paying more... but the service and value need to justify the higher price. Thank you Princeton Volvo for doing a GREAT job. Your dealership certainly deserves recognition. We'll be back again soon for our next purchase.

Moved into the area and went to this dealer after seeing the reviews. Our 2000 volvo had no climate control. The service tech said we need a new climate control modular. We were not prepared to spend $1400 dollars on the car so we just had the oil changed. After picking up the car we left it in the garage until a freind offered to look at it. He said the harness was all exposed and the hoses to the airconditioning were loose, all components were loose. I called Princeton Volvo to let them know what happened and the service manager claimed someone else must have done that to the car. I reminded him that he could check his computer to see that the only other person who worked on the car in 15 yrs was Smyth Volvo in Summit NJ, was he accusing them of something. The car is now in a service center run by a freind. We are not sure what that bill will be. I'm very disapointed that Princeton Volvo didn't offer to make things right or at least seem concerned.

Yesterday we experienced a problem starting our 2001 V70 X/C and were really in a "jam," being away from our home area. It turned out it was not a problem with the car, but was my own error, but in the process, I reached out for help at this dealership and was put in touch with Doug in the Service Department. Doug was more than helpful-he was also very pleasant and patient. His assistance was exceptional and in total contrast to the "service" you typically receive for anything. A Big Thank You.

This all started with my innocent new Volvo inquiry. Then another call to Volvo about features and pricing. I had the Volvo experience twice before and was thinking it was time. Paul called and we chatted; he really had sensitive insight into my needs. No deep tissue massage, just a relaxing, calming discussion about price, color, mileage and features. He made me a deal I couldn't refuse; "he just wanted me to be happy"! Yup. So, Colby took over. We toured cars, chatted about the designs, opened the hood and did a fitness cross check. The test drives were reassuring and were declared a great match for my customized outcome. Jim was great with the financing and Chris ( the Owner) offered his personal number.Three coats of wax later I opened the extra large moon roof, took my blonde hair out of the tight bun and vroom, fast and furious into the wind! (Oh-- Protected from the villains of the road by an extra smooth ride, "Bliss" and my Navigation Friend and System--Henry). Go for it. Great Team, Great Car, Great to Feel Like a Million!

I bought my 2012 XC60 from Volvo of Princeton and it was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Brian McMahon was my salesman and I could not have asked for a better person to work with. He is a gentleman with a lot of knowledge and patience. He was so easy to talk to and extremely helpful in finding exactly what I was looking for. He was very straightforward and never played any of the shady/dishonest games that many car dealerships play. Since I've had my Volvo, I've taken it in for the regular oil changes/maintenance. In the service department I have always worked with Matt Raper who is incredibly polite and professional. He always provides excellent customer service and makes sure that my car is quickly serviced. I will always buy and service Volvos at this dealership.

I checked other websites and compared different cars and dealerships and it kept coming back to Volvo of Princeton. Nils Falk (no relation, never met before) contacted me by e-mail and answered all questions before I even came in. Meeting and working with Nils was easily the best experience I ever has buying a car. Jim Miller made financing seamless and is a really nice guy, a pleasure to work with. My wife and I were shopping for a used car and we arrived Saturday afternoon at Princeton Volvo a few minutes before their closing hour. Matt Long himself and several of his staff staid very late to advise us while there was no insurance we'd buy anything. I ended up buying a nice convertible and Matt accepted I just made a transfer of the purchase price, which obviously would only occur on Monday, to let us leave with the car while it would have been easy for me to cancel it using any fallacious excuse in order to renegotiate the price. Moreover, they accepted my trade-in without its title I did not have with me. There was minor scratches on the car we bought, which otherwise was like new. Our handshake agreement was to have them repaired at his cost by an authorized Volvo dealer close to our home and Matt did follow-up to make sure we were totally satisfied. I strongly recommend anyone to purchase a new or used car at Princeton Volvo!

Went in to buy a used van for my family and found what I was looking for right away. I asked to speak with a salesman and I was helped in no time. Took it for a test drive and was sold on how it drove plus how clean it was. They also had a car fax and other records on the van. Ive never enjoyed buying a vehicle, always felt I didnt get a great deal etc. I walked into the showroom after charing with Colby via phone and email. He was off that day but Paul Fiorino took time to go over the whole scenario. I was in a jam with my last vehicle and the team at volvo got me back on track . Did they have to , probably not but they treated me like a long lost friend . Price was right vehicle was amazing and I did not feel compromised in any way!!!!12 out of 10 for all round experience.Im looking forward to the 2015 XC90 coming out and feel sure it will be a great buying experience again.Keep up the good work its nice to nice customer service is thriving at this dealershipThank you again

It had 1 owner, low miles. awesome features. I knew that going to a Volvo dealership and looking at a Volkswagen might seem weird but i called one day and spoke with Paul. He was friendly over the phone and assured me that they would treat me right after i told him that I've been getting the run-a-round from other dealerships and being treated poorly. I made an appointment for the next day to go look at the car and i was introduced to Michelle Sabine, her husband Russ, and Brian McMahon. Michelle and i talked for a long time about the car. She was very friendly, offered my family something to drink as we waited. She told me that the car was getting 4 fresh tires, new rotors, and new brake pads on the car at the moment and it'll be a few minutes and we can go for a test drive. We went on the test drive and the car was awesome and i immediately fell in love with it. i told her that i would really like to look into getting the car and we started talking numbers. i told her where i wanted to be as far as payment wise and she made it happen. The payment was about $40 more than what I was asking for but that wasn't their fault, my credit wasn't the best. i felt it was worth it due to the fact that this dealership took really good car of me and my family. They made it such a smooth process and restored my faith that there are good people out there, even at a dealership. They all treated my family as their own. Upon leaving Michelle was trying to shake my hand she got a hug instead. I hope they all know how gracious i am.

Volvo had the vehicle for 7 hours. Changed the oil (for 65 bucks) and diagnosed that I needed a new compressor (told them that at 9 am). They then recommended about $2000 worth of additional work but told me they couldn't do anything more today. Just about the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership.

This was a magical experience. My Account person Michelle was upfront, listened, recommended, and a delight to work with. In addition to Michelle's professionalism and great personality is the way the dealership operates...as a team. I mentioned to Michelle waht we were loooking at and someone overheard and offered their input and another person jumped in with theirs and before you knew it we had our exact car we wanted (which was a needle in the haystack) because of this. I spoke with another representative on the phone when Michelle was away and he (Colby) could not have been more helpful, despite me not being a (or his potential) customer. This dealership is truly awesome.

They are not like your typical dealership--when you go there, either to have your car serviced or to purchase a vehicle it is an enjoyable experience -- the sales and service associates put the client first, know they offer a good product and great service and always seem happy to be there and to assist you. We have purchased 8 cars over the years from Volvo of Princeton, including a used one for our son when he was in school and have always been 100%+ satisfied with the car; and just recently our son purchased a new one on his own and going out of his way geographically to purchase it here in Princeton! Without any reservation, we highly recommend working with Volvo of Princeton.

They have gone over and above the call of duty every time we have needed service. Whether it was a simple oil change, a major repair, or sales of a new car, every person on the Volvo team has made sure we were completely happy and satisfied. We love our Volvos, but it's the incredibly attentive people at Pton Volvo that keep us coming back. There are plenty of other types of car dealerships in the area, but after dealing with very mediocre (to poor) service at several of them, Volvo is a breath of fresh air. Having gone thru past experiences at car dealers, some of those painful, I was pleasantly surprised from the beginning how easy it was to work with the staff at Princeton Volvo. Being a newly divorced woman and doing this on my own, I was prepared with print outs of all the homework I did on the car of interest and my trade in. I was greeted by Russ Sabine and from that moment on, he worked with me and even put up with my indecisions of which vehicle I wanted as there were many to choose from! He was patient, kind and when we finally started working numbers, he was extremely helpful and it was more than a fair deal. And there were a few things I wanted done before the pick up of the vehicle which was ready for me the next day. From the moment of walking into the dealership, looking at vehicles, waiting for my new ride, EVERYONE was so friendly, pleasant and helpful. I don't ever remember going into a dealership and having chats and laughing with the sales people. I really enjoyed my experience working with everyone and will not only recommend Volvo of Princeton but will certainly buy from them again!

My experience purchasing a pre-owned vehicle at Volvo of Princeton was exceptional. I'm from Philly and through an online search I found my dream car at this dealership in Princeton NJ. I emailed the dealer late one night and by the end of the next day everything was worked out including my financing... all via phone calls and email. How great is that? All I needed to do was drive in and sign the paperwork which I did 2 days later and the car is awesome. Thanks to Paul, Dan, Michelle & Brian. Buying a car, especially used, was stressful for me as they knew... but all my concerns and questions were answered. My wife and I found Princeton Volvo an extremely pleasant and accomodating organization to transact business with. To begin with the receptionist at the front desk greeted us and immediately helped us to feel very welcomed. Our salesperson, Colby, was very warm and friendly and knowlegdeable about the Volvo products. After test driving an S40, we decided it was too small and we wanted to drive a pre-owned S80, which was at the Bridgewater store. Colby graciously arranged to have the S80 driven down to Princeton so we could test drive it here and not have to travel, all in the same day! We loved the S80 and wanted to buy it, but we asked if a few odds and ends could be remedied before we did so. Colby immediated answered all of our questions and agreed to resolve our concerns. He did an excellent job at helpng us out of our leased vehicle and into the lovely pre-owned S80. Dan Graff was our finance guy. He did a superb job at explaining the rate we could expect to get on the car and was extremely clear and methodical when discussing our options as far as down payment, the different terms and length of the payment period, and the options available to purchase with the car. Dan's patience and clarity was especially important to my wife and I since, as we both are school teachers, we are not particularly well versed in the field of finance. After speaking with Dan we both felt very confident in our decision to purchase the Volvo and we were at very much at ease with the financing of the vehicle. Dan was even able to secure for us an interest rate better than he had committed to! In short, both my wife and I felt like we were treated like royalty at Princeton Volvo, from our initial greeting by the lovely front desk woman to the wonderful sales experience with Colby, to the financial discussions and buying process which Dan so eloquently made crystal clear to us. We visited this dealership (first time) hoping to buy this one particular car we had seen advertised. The reception we received on that cold and snowey day was warm, friendly and efficient. After the test drive and decision made to buy, we returned the following week to finalize the financial piece with Dan......again friendly and efficient....taking time to answer questions and explain the process. Our only 'hiccup' was a misunderstanding with payment on work done when having our 'new' used car inspected....we live in PA. However, Chris took care of this very quickly proving that customer service is as important to them as it is to the customer. I had intended buying a used Volvo from CarSense but after waiting 3 weeks for a model that I wanted to show up, with no luck, my wife and I stopped in at Volvo of Princeton to see what they had and what kind of deal we could get. I knew what I wanted and when I got the to dealership, I was introduced to Russ Sabine. He quickly looked through his inventory, finding the right car with the right options. There were both 2012 and 2013 S80's and I felt no pressure from Russ to buy the newer car, which was several thousand dollars more as it had a few options I really didn't need. The day I was there, the weather was horrible. Russ was very pleasant throughout, even getting my car and bringing it under the tent so I could look at it and stay dry. He took me through all the features and options, clearly knowing the car inside and out.The negotiation process could not have gone easier, without the typical back and further nonsense that I have experienced at other dealerships. We quickly came to an agreement on price and the deal was done. I picked up the car and finished the paperwork the following Monday, working with Dan Graff on the finance and upgrade options. Again, there was no high pressure upselling from Dan and the paperwork process could not have gone better. I was also introduced to the manager Paul Forino. Paul is a "regular guy" and wanted to make sure I knew that everyone at the dealership would be there for me for anything I needed.I took my new S80 in for a "we owe" service a few days later and the Service Department experience was excellent. Ginny helped get me in and out very quickly and I was on my way.I highly recommend this dealership for service and price.

Dan has an exceptional personality, was knowledgeable, thorough and efficient in completing our leasing agreement. Paul, the sales manager, went over and above to help us when we turned in our prior leased vehicle before the dealership was able to locate the new car we wanted and allowed us to take a test-drive car on an extended test-drive so we could attend our son's high school graduation. Starting from the test drive to car purchase to attending to minor issues, i had an outstanding experience here at this dealership. I bought an 07 XC90 about 2 weeks ago. My wife and I were received and treated very well by Mr. Falk. Mr. Long, being the owner, came by to say hello. Even the administrative staff, including the receptionist and the service staff were very polite and energetic. With all the negative experiences that we all have while buying a car, from time to time, this dealership stands apart from the rest.The atmosphere inside the dealership is so refreshing that there is no way you don't want to buy a car from them. Professionally, they are fair and open about the car condition and are willing to fix any issues that may be discovered. I had an issue with some moisture inside the tail light housing and they replaced the housing without any hesitation.Please do yourself a fair by atleast visiting this dealership if you happen to be looking for a Volvo...I drove 3 hrs from long island to buy this car and it was very well worth it.Great job guys and keep it up.HPP

I purchased my first Volvo, a 2011 C30, from a non-Volvo dealer last month. I love the car but noticed there were some mechanical issues that needed to be addressed. When I made my 22,500 service appointment I asked that these issues be checked out. I dropped my car off in the morning, picked up a complementary rental and by the afternoon my car was ready to be picked up with everything fixed (and also got a complimentary car wash). I couldn't be more happy with the service I received. This is what you expect from Volvo and they absolutely lived up to that expectation! This is my first Volvo but definitely not my last! I pretty much had my mind made up before entering the dealership. It wasn't just the brand (I had another appointment lined up and was still trying to decide between Volvo and BMW) but Nils' matter of fact tone and knowledge was a strong start. Without going into too much detail, I was impressed by our discussion of the electronic-something something and the navigation work arounds for lower-priced packages. This continued upon my visit...neither Nils nor Daniel made me feel uncomfortable or attempt to sell me something I didn't need. This is my first car purchase, plus I am a lawyer by training, so I had my guard up. Unnecessary. Nils was busy when I arrived, but coffee was offered, etc and once i had his attention, I didn't feel rushed at all. I left the lot with a great CPO that I remain happy with to this moment (not an ounce of buyer's remorse). The GM, Paul, stopped in just to say hello and check on the service. I didn't even know he was the GM until he left the office and I asked. Not pretentious, just a regular guy. Anyway, I highly recommend this dealership and plan to return in a few years.

Michelle Sabine was extremely patient with us as we were trying to decide whether or not to buy a 2010 V50. We ended up with a 2011 XC70, with which we are quite pleased. Dan Graff took us through the optional add-ons without any real pressure. Michelle was great in terms of taking care of the paperwork, switching our insurance coverage, and explaining features of the car with which we were unfamiliar, as well as setting it up for us, and Dan was extremely efficient in arranging the financing. We were able to drive away with the new car that evening, which was convenient since we are 55 miles away. This was our second sale from this dealership in five years. They are very friendly and responsible and clearly serious about wanting the customer to be satisfied.

We are currently driving our second Volvo station wagon. I had a V40 and absolutely loved it and did not want to give it up. It was 11 years old and my husband wanted me to buy a new car and I thought "okay" lets do it. The V40 was a smaller station wagon and I thought maybe I would try a small two door. I did not want a bigger car. We did a test drive in the C30 and worked with Michelle Sabine who could not do enough for us.Her level of professionalism, care and concern about what we needed was wonderful. We had been through a lot of dealers for different cars brands, including Acura, BMW, Audi, Nissan and Volkswagon and Volvo of Princeton really stood apart from the rest in terms of their customer service. Brian made us feel comfortable from the very beginning, and was extremely candid with us about all the car details and helped us find the car that met our needs in the most reasonable way to help meet our price range. He even let us test drive the car on our own which was great. He was thorough and understanding of what we wanted and was very knowledgeable on the car. I love my Volvo, and to be honest, Volvo was not even in our consideration set when we were first looking for a car. My wife and I stopped in to look at and test drive a new 2012 C70. We were warmly greeted at the door by Michelle Sabine, given free time to browse, offered assistance when we were ready, and then given a C70 to test drive. We were greeted by Michelle & Chris Long upon our return and were talked through all the details of the car. At that point my wife was in love with the C70.The color we wanted was available at the Edison dealership and Michelle offered to bring the car down to Princeton with no commitment to buy on our part. Upon returning two days later we were again warmly greeted by Michelle and offered to test drive the car again. Afterwards, my wife and I were able to work out a very fair trade in and purchase price with Michelle. Our financing was handled by Dan Graff who was also very friendly and helpful. Dan was kind enough to step out of his office while my wife and I discussed some things. Everything with this purchase went extremely well. Found Volvo of Princeton through TrueCar.com and we're glad we did .Looked at all makes of cars from Audi's to Cadillac's and this dealership stood out among them all . The price was worked from the invoice side with everything clearly explained and in writing . They had cars with multiple options so you could drive and test and touch everything available. When we finally decided on a car , 2012 XC60 T6 , with just the options we wanted and in the colors we liked there was no trying to talk us into what they had on the lot .They got us our exact car within 5 days and it was the easiest car buying experience i've had in 40 years of buying cars . No remorse about a better deal , better car or just nicer people .

I had a remarkable and very, very positive experience in buying my S80 at Volvo of Princeton this past week. I was originally dreading the process of buying a new car, but I was immediately pleased with how smoothly and pleasantly the process was handled by everyone involved. I had used Volvo of Princeton to service my older XC70 for more than two years, but this was the first time I had been involved with the sales team at Princeton in purchasing a car.The entire transaction, from the trade-in discussion and financing operation, to the pickup of the new car was quick, efficient, and thorough -- and it was all done with smiles. For example, everyone was very pleasant, from the very first when I was greeted by the receptionist as I walked in for my appointment, through every single staff contact I experienced before driving away in my new car. Brian McMahon was a real gem -- he was so patient in walking me through all of my options, survived the test drive process with me, and even stayed later than his normal day when I picked up my car to make sure I was not only happy with the new car -- I was ecstatic. He had been very thorough in helping me pick out cars that specifically met my stated needs, and there was no pressure from him to look at cars I was not interested in seeing. He spent time helping me by setting up my Bluetooth with my Android, went over the operations of the car, and also went beyond the pale with Paul Forino's help in assisting me in transferring my personal items between cars to put me on my way. On another note, Dan Graff helped me through some complicated financial decisions, and was patient, honest, straightforward and so very quick with my credit approval. I was stunned that a process I had originally dreaded became so pleasant and efficient, and it was concluded in less than 48 hours so that I drove my new car that next day. I was extremely happy and very gratified that I was treated with respect and kindness throughout the process, and all of my questions and concerns were answered patiently and thoroughly. No questions were too silly, and no small effort was made to make sure I was very pleased with my purchase. Overall, I felt that I had extremely positive experience, truly "service with a smile." I have dealt with three different Volvo dealerships in three different states over the past many years, and Volvo of Princeton was by the far the best overall experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a Volvo. And BTW, I do LOVE my new car! Thanks so much!

We were taking our Volvo 80 in for a service visit and stopped in the showroom to browse. We were greeted by Michelle Sabine. We asked if she had a White Volvo that was just off the lease. Voila!! There it was!!! We went back a day later and purchased the car!I cant say enough about Michelle and her husband Russ. They were kind, courteous, informative and fabulous!! She was well-informed and able to explain the intricasies of the phone and CD system so that I could understand ( a hard job) Purchasing this car was easier and faster than buying a new pair of shoes!! We actually live near Washington, DC and were near Princeton visiting friends when we experienced an unexpected problem with our vehicle. Our friends have been loyal customers of this dealership and quickly placed a call to Chris Long to see if he could assist us. I was not optimistic as it was December 27 and we were not locals and had never purchased a vehicle through this dealership. I couldn't have been more wrong. Instead, Chris and the entire staff went out of their way to assist us. We have four children ages 6, 5, 3 and 1 and they made our time at the dealership as painless as possible. The service technician promptly greeted us and assessed the situation. He assisted us in unloading our entire family and moving us into the waiting area. The receptionist was warm and friendly. She often engaged our children and offered assistance in keeping them occupied. Chris provided updates and despite the very busy pace at the dealership was helpful and good-natured. If I lived anywhere near this dealership I would go back in an instant. They had our car repaired and back on the road in a reasonable amount of time and for a fair price... and all on a moment's notice in the height of the holiday travel rush. The scale I use to rate the process of buying or leasing a car runs from 1=least painful to 5=most painful, based on this assumption: the objective of car sellers is to get the maximum they can for their cars, and the objective of car buyers is to pay the minimum they can. Thus, no experience is pain-free in my opinion--just more painful or less painful. Walking into a dealership with the true market value of the car you'd like is one way to minimize the pain, and the other is to be lucky enough to work with nice human beings at the dealership. The experience I had at Volvo of Princeton, I am happy to say, shines in the latter. Starting with the immediate acknowledgment of my presence by the receptionist, and her warm and friendly affect throughout the few hours I was there, the Volvo of Princeton dealership already distinguished itself from every other dealership I had visited besides Lexus.Although I had to ask the people with whom I spoke to slow down when they were talking numbers, I never once felt as if they were losing patience. All of the questions I had about the numbers--and there were many--were thoroughly addressed. I must add that I purchased the car on Christmas eve day, and the dealership was closing early. Despite that, I never felt rushed. The responses to the questions I asked about leasing were refreshingly honest, especially to questions that went into the gray areas, e.g., what constitutes "normal wear and tear."

In short: my experience was very positive and I would recommend the dealer to other buyers.My desired car in terms of color/options wasnt a typical vehicle but the dealer agreed to order it for me. The new car arrived in 1,5 month (from my first contact with Volvo of Princeton till the car was available for me to pick up from the dealers parking lot). This is a very short wait-time compared to other dealers I checked with. To add on to that credit I live 70 miles away from the dealer and all the deal was done over phone and internet. I made a trip to the dealer only once to pick up the car. That really goes a long way as a great time saver. Staff is professional and courteous. I dealt with Michelle and the finance person was Danny.I didnt trade in my car because I managed to sell it by myself, but given the fact that my old car was in an accident the preliminary quote given to me by Volvo of Princeton written on the new vehicle build order was reasonable.

However, the national "Sign & Drive" event does not accurately reflect what a dealership is offering for the price of the vehicle. My 70 year old mother took her car in because she had to keep her doors unlocked or the alarm would go off. They charged her $618.08. They did not fix the problem. They were kind enough to siren which was, unfortnately for her, still working. Since she felt they were, I quote, "a gaggle of incompetent thieves" she would not take it back to be "scammed". This was the exact wording on work request "Customer states alarm system and warning lights intermit displays, currently leaves car unlocked so alarm not" Because of todays auto diagnostics, I decided that while she was away for a few days I would take it back in. They did fix the problem this time and charged full price. After half an hour of fighting, they lowered their ransom on a hefty second bill by a whole $100.00. Somehow they felt their inability to fix it right the first time was my mothers fault. If they had listened to her at all, they would have disconnected the alarm as requested when she first had it there instead of telling her they couldn't. Stay away, stay away, stay away!!!!!!!!

To Whom it may concern:I am writing to thank the Long family and Volvo of Princeton for going out of there way to accommodate my wife and I when we were in need. On November 20th I had a minor accident with my XC70. After calling Volvo of Princeton a technician came out,picked up my car, and dropped off a brand new XC90. Being so close to Thanksgiving my insurance provider would not be out to look at the damage until November 28th. I received my XC70 last night, December 6th, in perfect shape from the dealer certified repair shop which was a bit over 2 weeks after the accident. During this time my wife who is pregnant with twins went into pre term labor. My wife and I only own 1 vehicle. If Volvo of Princeton had not left a car for us it would have been very difficult and stressful for my wife and I to make it to the hospital at 1 in the morning. Paul Forino and Michelle Forino were both terrific to work with. Paul managed to track down exactly what I was looking for and then Michelle did a great job of explaining the new features and menu system of the car when I picked it up. She made sure that everything was working as it should, especially the Bluetooth pairing of my mobile phone. I have never before purchased a car and had someone work to guarantee my immediate comfort level behind the wheel.

I am very happy, with the car as well as with the purchase experience.The car has about 50 mi on it, it runs great so far. Instantaneous acceleration, smooth riding and convenient operations, all as expected.Brian has been very professional through out the whole process. He is the most honest sales person i have ever met. When i first ran into him in the show room, i decided immediately that i would buy my car through him. After a month of contacting various Volvo dealers between NJ, Ma., Pa. and Maryland. I found Volvo of Princeton and Brian McMahon. This company and the personnel with whom I choose to eventually do business with was the result of a pre-process taking me about a month. Out of the various companies and personnel I dealed with, none seemed as interested as Briam in working for my satisfaction. Brian helped me the most in trying to locate the particular vehicle with the specific safety equipement I wanted without all the "bells & whistles" and eventually suggested that I order the auto from Sweeden. Up to this point, I ve only pre-ordered two cars from "Detroit" in the seventies/eighties which led into disappointing situations.I was very skeptical of this resolution until several other dealers began to suggest this solution without canvassing th market as thoroughly as Brian. Brian McMahon was willing to spend the most time with me, gave me an excellant price and made the wholebuying process an aggravation free educational experience. A good example of this is the 5 hours spent orienting me to the auto when I recently picked it up from the dealer.The only regret I have is that the dealer is 42 miles away, but this was a price I was also willing to pay inorder to purchase the car from this group which I learned to trust.

This was the easiest new car purchase that my wife and I have ever experienced. It has been a pleasure to deal with Chris and his associates. Due to the combination of equipment we wanted, the car had to be ordered and Chris took it upon himself to keep us apprised of the progress, calling us to advise when the car had been shipped and when it would arrive. When it did arrive (a week earlier than anticipated!), it was perfect and included exactly what we had ordered, even an item that was added as an afterthought several weeks after the original order was placed. Following encouraging email correspondence and telephone calls concerning a particular feature I needed on the 2011 XC70, my daughter and I drove to Princeton NJ to check out a particular car. Volvo of Princeton was the 5th Volvo dealer I had been to and by far the friendliest. They explained the car to me fully and answered all my questions and/or concerns and if they didn't know an answer they researched it and got back to me. They had the best follow up of all the Vovlo dealers I went to and made me feel like they wanted my business.My sales person, Nils Falk was very patient with me and gave me all the time I needed to make a decision. He never made me feel rushed or that I was wasting his time.I picked my car up during a snow storm and the dealership offered to drive the car to my home if I was too afraid to drive in the storm. What customer service!The service has continued after I picked up the car. They have contacted me to make sure I am happy with the vehicle and they are going to fix any items I was unsatisfied with.The entire staff introduced themselves to me, including the owner! Unheard of in a dealership!I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new or used Volvo.

Both Chris Long and Russ Sabine went the extra mile for me while I was shopping for a new car, offering extended test drives, not pressuring me or calling me, etc. Both of them were friendly, polite, and laid-back in their approach, and extremely patient. Chris also helped me set up my new car upon delivery and has called me after delivery to ask if there's anything else he can do, ask how the car is, how I'm enjoying it, etc. (No problems, it's a great car and I love it.)I also wanted to mention one thing that might interest a new purchaser in buying from Princeton Volvo or one of their related dealerships in particular. They are a large volume dealer and have a lot of cars on the lot to choose from. They also sell a lot of cars, which means that they get a favorable production allocation, if you prefer to order your car from the factory. In fact, Chris was able to turn one of his pre-existing dealer orders into my special order car, and it got here within six weeks. Meanwhile, I read on various websites about others who ordered Volvo XC60's at the same time I did, and who will not see their cars until January or February of 2012. I don't think I could have waited another 3-4 months for my new car, and I'm happy I ordered from Volvo of Princeton.

235,139 miles was the end of the line for my 2001 V70. Needed a new transmission, and a few other things that helped me decide it was time to look for a replacement. As I was waiting for a ride home from the dealer to start looking for a new car, I noticed a 2010 demo S80 in the showroom. After a few questions with Brian McMahon, he suggested I take the car home while I was deciding what to do, and during that time, he would have my old car valued for a trade. I returned a few hours later, and we were able to negotiate a great deal. The process was easy, professional and there was never any pressure. There was a little confusion during the closing when the business manager noticed that a "loyalty rebate" did not apply to this deal since the car was a demo - this would have increased the price, but when he identified the issue, the dealership stood by their verbal offer. Tremendous. I am happy with the car, and I would not hesitate to strongly recommend Volvo of Princeton.

My parents and I have been buying volvo's from Volvo of Princeton for 11 years (which probably totals about 4 cars over that span of time). I've dealt with a lot of dealerships over my lifetime, and no one comes close to the level of service, the attention to detail and the character of the folks at Volvo of Princeton. I'm still driving a Volvo Cross Country (130 thousand miles) purchased by our family from the dealership 10 years ago,and over the years they have gone way above and beyond to keep our car running and to keep us happy. I've even had instances where (with a difficult repair job that entailed two visits) they simply did not charge me until they got the problem figured out and had the car running in top condition. I have never seen a dealer do this. But they have a level of committment to keeping their customers happy that is really about the life-time they will work with you. They will also go out of their way to give you a loaner car and make life as easy as possible for you when you need service. I could not recommend anyone as highly as these guys, and I wish all dealerships had half the honesty and integrity they have!

My wife and I can't say enough good things about all three of the Long family Volvo dealerships. We have had dealings with each, and in every case have been completely satisfied with the work, price and professionalism we experienced. And, maybe even more importantly, their customer service is outstanding. Some examples:When we schedule service, someone from the dealership comes out picks up the car, leaving a loaner behind. In fact, they even switch the car seats from one car to the other.When a service manager calls my wife to explain work that needs to be done on one of the cars, it is done so in a manner that my wife can understand. She is admittedly not a "car person", but she is comfortable making "car decisions".In every case our car is returned in perfect working order, clean, on-time, and at a price thatwellmakes us smile.Thank you Volvo of Princeton!

I purchased a used car from Volvo of Princeton from an ad they had placed on AutoTrader.com. My salesperson was Russ Sabine and I live 5 hours away from the dealership and planned to ship the car to my home. He described the car to me and I agreed to purchase it. Upon receiving the car, there was significant damage to the car and issues that Russ did not describe but signed an acknowledgement to the trucking company. Upon speaking to the sales manager, Chris Long, they are not interested in helping me with the repairs and will no longer take my calls. I searched the Better Business Bureau website and now see that they had another claim very similar to my situation. I would certainly not recommend this dealership.

I had an OK experience with this dealership. The salesman I worked with didn't seem to care if I bought a car or not. He was surprised when he asked me if I was serious about me and I said yes. I guess there weren't many people buying now these days. When I offered a lower price than what he offered, he didn't seem to try to work with me and just let me walk out the door. I have to give him credit afterwards because he followed up with several emails but by that time it was too late. FYI: Volvo of Princeton, Volvo of Edison and Bridgewater Volvo are all owned by the same company. I went to all three dealerships and each of them gave me a different quote on the same exact car. The car was located at one of the above dealerships. I didn't have a good experience but I didn't have a bad one either so I'm neutral to Volvo of Princeton.
