I found my experience with this dealership very exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I was there a little longer than I thought was needed. They apologized and I was fine with it. They offered to keep my VW overnight in the locked up car and I picked it up the next day. Oshall was wonderful. (don't remember his last name because he left the dealership to attend school and I threw away his card). He set up the blue tooth and blue link. I went there with the specific purpose of driving the Hyandai limited and maybe an suv and never dreamed I would end up driving one home. I never drove the suv. I fell in love with the Limited Hybrid.

I am on oxygen and needed a chair to sit down as soon as I entered the showroom. Brian got a chair that had wheels so I would not have to walk around. My salesperson Ken was very attentive to my car needs. When we finished with the financing I was beginning to get hungry so Ken said come back tomorrow and he would go over all the whistles and bells with me.

TLDR: When it comes to communication skills, this place must have taken lessons from Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver: communication was disjointed, awkward, almost underhanded simply lacking in every wayIt pains me to have to leave a bad review for a place, but Winner Hyundai deserves it. I contacted them to sell them my 09 Genesis sedan; they looked it over, took it for a drive, and offered me a relatively fair price. I live in a city now and have no need for a car, so I was willing to sell to a dealer to avoid the headache typically involved with a private sale.Judging by this places reviews, I expected great communication from them about the whole process. Unfortunately, their communication with me and my Dad (who was handling delivery of the car to them, as well as retention of the low-digit license plate) was abysmal. Truly some of the worst communication Ive experienced from any business ever.They sent me incorrect sale paperwork (they sent me buyer docs but I was selling, not buying). Not a huge deal, but it set the tone for this experience.They contradicted themselves: I dealt with sales manager Brian Ferrell primarily, who verbally told me that Winner would send a check for the full purchase price to my bank who held the title to my car. The difference between the loan balance and the purchase price (purch price exceeded loan balance by over $1k), Brian said, would be paid to me by my bank. But this isnt what happened. Winner sent my bank a check for an amount just ~$10 in excess of the loan balance. The bank then immediately sent them a copy of my title per correspondence with my bank. An entire month later, after numerous emails to Brian (he promised to follow up with me each time yet never did) and a few calls, I finally found out that Winner had received my car title. I promptly received a check for the difference after that call. But come on guys. I shouldnt have to call you and/or email you every step of the way to get an update. I understand youre busy; we all are. But keep me apprised of whats going on and keep your word. You did neither.In addition to *contradictory* information, my Dad and I were given borderline *false* information by Joyce Thorpe, the finance manager. She told me that the fee I owed her to keep my former license plate in retention would be $55. But, per DMV code, the fee is actually $35. When my Dad called to inquire about the price discrepancy, he was curtly told Okay, okay, just pay $35 by Joyce. I presume Joyce has dealt with tag retention in the past even if not, considering its her job to get facts straight before spewing numbers out, Id expect her to know what the retention fee is. Even if she didnt, I would expect at least an apology for telling us to pay an inflated amount.There were several other instances of terrible communication including trying to get me to agree to deduct $55 from the check I would be paid (for license plate retention) when we had made clear thats not what we wanted to do. My Dad also requested he be phoned by the dealership when they had put the license plate in retention and he never was. He had to go in person to the DMV and check himself.I loved my Hyundai and really wanted to recommend Winner to friends and family in the area looking to buy one. But Winner doesnt deserve our business. Everything was resolved in the end, but it was a major headache dealing with them. I highly recommend people instead drive further up the state and visit Porter Hyundai (Im not affiliated just a happy customer with them). Had my Genesis serviced there several times and was always impressed by their cordiality; in addition, they change oil for a lower price than this place. Winner seems like it might have the makings of a good dealership, but my experience was annoying.

The sales associate, Kenny, and the manager, Brian, were a pleasure to work with! I bought a car from Brian when he was a sales associate and he is just as helpful as a manager. They listened to any concerns I had/explained information about the cars in detail, let me spend some time with the car, and Kenny even explained the satellite radio to me because I didn't know how to work it. The staff knows so much about their cars and it is very helpful. Another thing I must add is that this dealership is not typical in the sense that they will not stalk you around the parking lot, be pushy, or have overly eager salesman...they want you to be happy with the car that you want.

It was a pleasure to visit the dealership without hassle or pressure to purchase. I was comparing the Santa Fe to another manufacturer and actually visited the dealership two times on the same day. They not only remembered I had been there but also remembered not only what I was looking for but also my name. I received a call from my salesman within the first three days just checking to see how I was making out with my new car. I stopped by the dealership a week later to drop off tag information and was greeted by name again. It is nice to see that you are made to feel welcome after the sale.

Was told a recall on our engine 2012 Santa Fe will be coming within the next month but Hyundai will not honor our engine because the recall has not been announced yet. My story is...My husband, two children (under 10) and I live in CT. We were at our summer home in Fenwick Island DE to celebrate the New Year. Over the weekend of January 1, 2016 we heard a clicking in our engine. On Sunday, January 3, we found an open garage and asked the mechanic to take a look at the car and see if he could determine what the clicking was from. He did and he suggested we wait until Monday and take it to a Hyundai dealership before trying to drive it back to CT. That is what we did. We stayed an extra night, took a day off of work and kept our children from school. We brought the car in first thing Monday, 01/04, morning to your dealership. My husband checked the oil before we left the house (because the mechanic told us there appeared to be a leak in the gasket) and we were only down about 1/4. Drove the car to your Dover Dealership. Your service people/mechanics looked at the car drained the oil without checking how much was in the car (which is what we were told by the GM, Mark) and gave us the green light to head home to CT. We were charged $35 and change. I asked, specifically, are you sure the car is alright to drive to CT I have two small children and would hate to get caught on the highway home. I was assured the car was safe but was told to bring it to our Hyundai dealership in CT when we could. We thanked everyone got in the car and headed for home. As we drove off the car was making a worse noise then when we brought it in for service. We made it 12 miles down the road and the car died, in the middle of an intersection with my two boys. We called the dealership we just left, 15 minutes ago, and were told you couldn't help us. No tow truck, no ride, no nothing. we were stuck on our own with a dead car. we called and got a flatbed to bring the car back to your dealership and waited the rest of the afternoon to be told you could not lend us a car and the engine was shot. After going back and forth a car was finally provided to us so we could return to our summer home in Fenwick for the night. The next morning, 01/05, we returned to the dealership and we were told, in confidence that the Santa Fe's were being recalled at the end of the month for engine problems. We were also told that most likely (90% sure...not to worry) the engine and car rental (to get back to CT) would all be covered by Hyundai. All good news. We rented a car and went home to CT. Friday, 01/08, my husband received a call that the recall and or the warranty (which is the reason we went with Hyundai to begin with) would not be honored and the engine was our problem. I was shocked and devastated. My husband and I looked long and hard at several other cars and the deal that Hyundai presented to us, full warranty for 100,000 miles or less, road side service and a loaner car made it a no brainer for us to purchase a Santa Fe. For the safety of our family we were willing to spend more money. I am so upset and disappointed that this is not being honored. I have already spoken with attorneys on how to proceed and I will not let this rest. I will be sure to let everyone I know and communicate with to never, ever purchase a Hyundai for they do NOT stand true to their word. I have had several cars in my adult life and this is by far the worst experience I have EVER had.

Went to drive sonata and then drove a one year old Azera. We loved the Azera and wanted a fair deal on our trade. Kenny was friendly and customer oriented showing us our options and wanting to keep our business at Winner. Our initial offer for my trade was half of the low trade in value, I was pretty pissed and insulted. The used car manager immediately jumped $2000 offering $6000 for our trade that low value is $8300. Then he wouldn't budge on the price of my trade or the Azera. We left, the next day Kenny called to see what he could do to try to earn our business and make us happy. I stated meet us in the middle I want $9000 for my trade , give us $7500 and we'll come buy. He said let me talk to the manager and call you back. He did and they said the best they could offer was another $400 for my trade but he'd love to have us come back and buy a car from Winner, we loved the Azera so we went back to Winnner to see what else could be done. After returning he gave us a few more non cash incentives and we were content enough to get the Azera as it was priced very well. When the manager came over with numbers on paper it stated $6000 for our trade not $6400 as we were promised. He stated he can't honor the extra $400 we were told due to the dealership would lose to much money, this was a ver unfair practice and was like a bait and switch that caught us and our salesmen by surprise. He gave us $100 more and we settled as we wanted the Azera. I was not pleased with this tactic as it was a very unfair practice toward customers. To sum it up my salesman worked hard and was out to do what he could to keep customer satisfaction #1. The floor managers and used car manager made this a very painful frustrating experience.

I purchased a used auto at the tent sale on 7/10/14. The sales people went out of their way to find me a car I wanted and could afford on my budget. They continued to work with me to bring the price of the used auto and the amount of my trade-in to my satisfaction. My wife and I are very happy with the deal that was made. Car shopping is a very stressful time and this experience made it more stressful. Velma who was very nice, seemed to be preoccupied at all times and would go walk the lot for 20 minutes at a time, leaving me sitting around wondering what she is doing, and no communication until I got in my car to leave after not seeing her for a half hour. I was working in a strict price limit and she kept trying to put me in cars I could not afford and not listening to what I wanted/needed. This is honestly the reason I was going to just leave. She doesn't assess the needs of the customer just tries to put them in a car they can't afford. Way too much unnecessary pressure. I would not go back here for another neglectful experience.

Rocky was very instrumental in assisting my sales agent with service-related issues. Paul took the time to fully explain in great detail the gap insurance and helped with the CarFax report - which made a very comfortable, financial experience. Nicholas was really great in finding me the perfect car to fit my needs - I couldn't ask for a better salesperson.

My overall experience in dealing with Andre' when deciding to purchase a car from winner hyundai was great, because I did it all by myself. My first hyundai elantra purchase back in 2001 my dad accompanied me, so I'm proud of my accomplishment, without be pressured by the salesperson. In the near future I will definitely goes back to winner hyundai to purchase my next hyundai!

The employees were courteous, pleasant, and detailed about expectations. They assisted me with purchasing the right vehicle that would be safe, fuel efficient, and one to suit the needs of me and my family. They allowed me to take the vehicle to home and work for one night to test drive it before making a final decision. The wanted to make sure I would be happy with my purchase. All of the staff I dealt with were also personable and managed to provide friendly service with lots of smiles. I was at ease and felt no pressure from any of the employees. Leaving my doctors office, I ran over a nail with my tire. All I heard was bump bump bump and my car vibrated a bit. I pulled over and looked at my tire. Sure enough there was a large white disk (about the size of a nickel) sticking into my tire. I tried to remove it, but could not budge it. So instead of driving the 90 miles to and from work with this bump bump bump. I decided to pull into my Hyundai dealership. Thank goodness it was close. Beth was able to fit me in right away, the service team was able to patch my tire, and I was back on the road in 30 min. Great Team, Great Service, Great Experience. Would recommend to anyone.

My dad and I came from New York to look for my first new car. We had a budget but had more options here at Winner than at any of the other dealerships that we visited. I do not live in the area but I contacted Winner Hyundai because I have family that lives in the area. I knew my shopping experience would be unique but to my delight I was cared for by Velma. She was professional, friendly, and above all else honest. She took great care of me and made sure she answered all my questions. Buying a car is what most of us would consider a big purchase. But rather than dealing with someone trying to take advantage Velma made sure I understood every aspect of my purchase. I would recommend them/her 10 times out of 10.

I was car shopping and honestly the last place I thought I would buy a car was Winner.... but I am so glad I did. I read many reviews on Winner doing the bait and switch regarding cars they had listed on the website, yet they are not there and all being told it was sold the day before. I saw a 2011 Hyundai Sonata on the site that was clean and in great shape but after reading other reviews, never expected it to be there... but it was. I worked with Jeff Frey, who was great to deal with from the beginning to the end. He made the car buying experience so easy and pleasurable with absolutely no stress. When I buy my next Hyundai, Jeff is going to be the man I see.

Overall good price compared to Edmunds and other pricing references though they made it sound like a huge stretch for them as we came to an agreement. At times felt kind of shady with the old "used car salesman" lines and attitude.Negatives1. It took over 1 hour waiting to sign the paperwork with their finance person once the deal was made. 2. Promised they would be able to clean up some of the interior markings and they did not.

I recently purchased a 2013 Genesis Coupe, and was relatively unfamiliar with the product before my visit to Winner, particularly BluLink. I left with a great car, was treated very fairly in terms of price and the numerous features of the car were explained in detail. This was my first Hyundai purchase, and also my first encounter with Winner, I will be purchasing another vehicle from them, for my wife, this spring. I sent my best friend there three weeks ago, he purchased a 2012 Veloster. Thank you.

Rocky asked the right questions on what we wanted and the price. He didn't try to talk us into anything else. He found us the right car that was priced exactly where we wanted to be. We bought our car from Winner Ford, Hyundia because the car was great, lots of features, smooth ride, all the bells and whistles. Our salesman Rocky Aquan was EXCELLENT. No high pressure which we hate but very knowledgable, happy, friendly, patient and thoughtful. We have bought a lot of cars in our 67 years and Rocky was the best we have ever encountered. He believed in the product, was forthright and so patient with many questions and showing us various cars, as well as assisting us in getting the keys to drive the vehicle. He was never impatient or aggravated, always a joy to work with, a great smile and confident but not pushy. We enjoyed getting to know him very much. The best salesperon EVER. He gave us his cell phone number in case he was not at his desk to allow us to call him with any questions about operating the vehicle. He took a lot of time showing us all the mechanics of ooperating the vehicle but felt we might have questions and he wanted us to call, even though he was going on vacation. He said he would be happy to explain anything he could over the phone. Now where do you get that kind of service. No where.Rob Barba, Business Manager was very nice, courteous, knowledgeable getting our financial aspects straight for our loan. He is very friendly and made us feel welcome as well at Winner. Nice sense of humor and we enjoyed working with him as well. Excellent employee's. The Manager Jim was fabulous in working with us on the price of the car. He was smart, funny and very nice. We enjoyed all three employee's.

The only question I can't really answer is 2 since I just got my car yesterday. But, if their service dept. is as good as the rest of the operation, I know it will be excellent. Customer svc. was great, Friendliness was off the scale! My overall experience was an extremely positive one and I know that when my husband decides he's ready to trade, that Winner will be where we go. Also, the price on my new car and on my trade was outstanding. This place is named correctly ... it's a WINNER!

Great experience. Knowledgeable sales person and staff. Had the vehicle I wanted and in the color that I was looking for (Boston Red). Pricing was fair. James took the time to walk us through the vehicle and its equipment. Also showed my wife and I, the service area for future maintenance concerns. Overall a very positive event. I have been trying to find a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited for the past two months. Other dealers in New Castle County did not seem very helpful and one in Newark was rude. I was referred to Winner Hyundai by my wife's friend, so I gave them a try and emailed them what I was looking for and Kristen suggested that I visit the showroom in Dover on Friday, I live in Bear,DE and did not want my time wasted. As a result, We visited the showroom and was greeted by Mike Croce , the vehicle I was referring to was sold and he was willing to locate one for us, but as luck would have it - there was one on the lot which my wife liked and we were able to make a good deal and purchase the vehicle from them. Kenneth was the salesperson assigned and he did an exceptional job. This was the best auto purchasing experience we had, no pressure and I feel they went beyond my expectations for us to purchase our new 2012 Santa Fe. Hats off to you all. I'll be purchasing another vehicle from you.
