I honestly give a four star rating because of how they made up for a mistake that was previously made during the inspection of the vehicle I purchased. The sales process with Dru was great, there was a lack of communication when it came to an issue with light fixture. This took longer than I would have liked to be corrected, however after going in for my complimentary oil change, the service manager was able to get the light fixture ordered and will be following up when it is ready for installation. I did get a bonus for referring someone who purchased a vehicle from Dru, this took some time, and then came in two checks each for $50 to complete to $100 referral bonus. About a month ago (5months after vehicle purchase) I received a third check from the dealership for $83 and change for a rebate on fees that were over chartered at time of sale. I am shocked this wasn’t caught before I left the lot. All in all a good experience, could have been a great experience with better communication. Hence the 4star review.

A truly great dealership to buy a car from. Worked with Gabe twice - once to buy a car for my partner and once on my own. Worked with Gabe and it was a great experience both times. No shady walks back and forth to the manager, no boxes trying to shuffle numbers around, just an easy experience. Both times they had one of the best prices we saw without having to haggle and gave incredibly generous offers on trade. You can go back and forth to try to save a bit of money, or you can come here, get a very good deal, and have a really pleasant car buying experience.

Update! I came back after my lease and drove out in a new Tuscon. Gabe kept in touch with me during the lease of my last vehicle and made sure my needs were met and made sure I was taken care of with my new purchase. Another great experience from the crew at South Hills Hyundai! Drove in with a 07 Sonata, drove out in a new 18 Sonata Sport. I worked with the management, sales, and service department and had a great experience! Gabe McNeal helped me pick out the right model for my needs and wants with ZERO pressure and we had a blast! Before I left, he made sure I knew all about my car and it's features and gave me contact info incase I have any more questions or concerns. These guys were great!

Great dealership. A nice diverse collection of Luxury and Economy cars. So any budget can shop here. A beautiful showroom with something awesome always sitting in it. Caters to those who aren't veterans to buying brand-new and makes it simple. Polite and friendly, there's no need to ever feel intimidated when coming in. "I don't know" is one you won't hear very often here. Pulled every string they could to get me the best price. Inspection went perfectly. 1 year later, only getting better with age. A friendly warning: West Liberty Ave. can be a little unforgiving in the afternoon in terms of traffic. Try to get there either in the morning or late afternoon. Not at all a complaint to Cochran, the location is right on the money, just a busy street. 5 Stars no question about it. Great cars, great people, great time.

My experience was great! I was interested in the Hyundai Sonata and Ron did a great job of explaining the benefits of owning the car vs. some of its competitors. The pricing and quotes that were given to me were very fair and I got a large discount for being a loyal #1 Cochran fan. This was my second lease with the Dealership and I have already described my experience to a few friends in hopes that they go to #1 Cochran.

I came into the dealership to return my leased car and get new one. I was in a time crunch because I had to pick up my son at school. I informed them of that and Justin was still very thorough and allowed me to do half of the deal, go pick up my son and come back a few hour later to finish it. Everyone was very flexible and nice. At the end of the meeting I was able to make a clear financial decision which allowed me get a new lease of a superior auto for the same loan price!!!. If I could give them zero stars I would. Worst customer service ever. I spent over a week calling daily to get an appointment (waited up to 40 minutes once). NOONE answers the phone. I even left a message and noone called back. When I finally got an appt, they said that because the engine light was no longer on that it would be pointless to run diagnostics and that I would have to wait for it to come on again, even though I told them my car was stalling. They told me to bring it in when it came on again. When the light came on again (3days later) again took me forever to get through to the service center, and the staff was just down right rude. It should not be such a hassle to get your car serviced. The mechanics themselves are AWFUL to deal with. Do not waste your time here!

I didn't go into the dealership expecting to get a car, I just wanted the options since my lease was coming up. Gabe helped me figure my options and got me the car I wanted in my budget. So there was no need to delay after that. The whole process was as quick as could be expected when buying/leasing a new car. I searched Cochran's online inventory and was contacted by the internet sales person who scheduled an appointment at the dealership for a used car. I never enjoyed the process of buying a new car before because of the pushiness of the sales person to make a sale and to sell me more car than I wanted. That all changed on April 1st. 2016 at Cochran Hyundai of South Hills. My salesman Gabe McNeal was very professional and helpful, he listened to my needs and wants in the purchase of this vehicle. I wasn't pressured into making a purchase but instead he took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and made several suggestions. I was extremely hesitant to start looking for new vehicle since three other dealerships told me I was hopeless. My employment status changed and my old vehicle (the one I traded in for the Sonata) became a burden for my family. My wife and I decided that we were going to make one last attempt to trade in the vehicle for something that was more budget friendly for our new situation. The associate that I worked with was Eronn and we could not be happier. He was the first person (after going to 3 different dealerships) who actually sat down and listened to me about what my family needed. I also appreciated the fact that he was 100% true and up front with me. He listened to the concerns that my wife and I had and the professionalism that he and the entire staff displayed was reassuring. I leased a brand new 2015 Sonata on September 2nd. The car had to be transferred from the monroeville dealership. After I signed all my papers and was ready to leave, I was informed that the second key was lost. My sales person Brandon Davis told me he would have another one ordered for me. It's now over 2 months later. Multiple trips to the dealership and phone calls placed with Brandon and still no key. I will be trying to reach the general manager now to get a resolution. Terrible experience and customer service skills from Brandon. More then likely the last car I get from there.

I purchased my first Hyundai from this outfit many years ago. Had it serviced there and was treated good. Moved away and am now back in the Pittsburgh area. Restarted my relationship with them last year. They did not send me service specials. They refuse to give the customer a break. I chose them to fix my car that paid over 3100.00 They called me for my car inspection that cost 600.00. Would it be too hard to allow the customer know you have coupons on the website??? When called about it they treat your transaction like going to the supermarket. Getting your car repaired is not like going to the supermarket. I'm not expecting 50cents off a loaf of bread. What corporate greed took over South Hills Hyundai. Will not be going back to this place...would rather go to Pep Boys or Mr. Tire who looks out for their customer's satisfaction and includes a tire rotation with oil change PLUS let's you know when there is a coupon for that !!!While out of the area I've dealt with Moon Township Hyundai service department and treated fantastic. It was typical to give me breaks and deals.

My wife told me that she needed a SUV to replace her 2011 Elantra so her knees didn't hurt getting out of her car. I researched the small SUV and crossover vehicles and found that the Tucson and Santa Fe Sport had potential for her. Both offered the options she wanted and both were in her price range. She did not care for the driver's seat in the Santa Fe Sport, but really liked the Tucson. Eronn Fletcher took us for a test drive and she was convinced. Eronn and Travis worked with us to find all of the discounts available, including an Uber driver discount. My wife liked the bottom line and payments. We took delivery on Oct 8. She loves her new Tucson!

Worst service department I've ever dealt with, I've owned 5 Hyundai vehicles, first time servicing mine at Cochran. Had it towed in with electrical issues not allowing it to start or turn off my electrical components. After allowing it to sit from Friday until Monday with these issues they told me my battery was dead and had to purchase a battery from them in order to diagnosis the electrical issue. Had they looked at it when I brought in maybe the battery, which was only two years old, would not have died sitting all weekend. Terrible rude service staff, never again will I bring my car here. They would not even complete my recall service without me purchasing a battery from them. No one should ever trust their car to them!

Called ahead and gave stock number of vehicle we wanted to test drive. When we arrived we waited an hour for them to pull the car out of the lot and fill it with gas. We stood on the curb waiting the entire time. No respect, and nobody apologized. Then we ran the numbers and the sales manager would not give us the advertised offers. I had to open the HyundaiUSA website to show him the offers, then he still wouldn't give them to us as he said he didn't have them in his paperwork. He only gave them to me after I mentioned false advertising. If my wife didn't really want this car I would have left a long time ago. I will not be returning to Cochran of South Hills, and I suggest you don't either.

My mother and I had originally came to test drive a used Elantra. The car we were wanting to see had already been sold, bummer! Eronn asked me a few different questions based on what we were hoping for in a vehicle and gave us a couple of options in other used vehicles. After a test drive, we were still torn. Eronn offered to draw up all the numbers so that we could see what the monthly payments would be like for both the used and a new vehicle side by side. We ended up going for the brand new Hyundai Elantra and couldn't be happier. He is a great salesman and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. He even laughed at a couple of my jokes! From what I saw, he does a great job of feeling out his customers and adjusting his demeanor to suit theirs and make them feel as comfortable as possible. Great guy!

My Hyundai Elantra (2015) (Limited) is the most comfortable car I've sat in. There's plenty of leg room and supportive seating. Driving is smooth and quiet. Visibility (have backup camera) is very good. I definitely recommend this car!

I made an appointment to merely have my oil changed three (3) days in advance, dropped the car off the night before. I call the 800 number for the service department, and of course, nobody answers. I leave a voicemail for a callback, which, you guessed it, never came.I call back again and finally reach a human being around 3 PM. He tells me my car is next in line.I planned to take the T from work during my lunch hour. But seeing as how I normally take lunch around 12-1, and the work didn't start until 3, change of plans. I had to leave work early to take the T to get there before they closed at 6. As a result for leaving early, I got the added bonus of having to go to work this weekend, when I normally don't, and catch up on what I missed.Thank you Cochran Hyundai for putting mystery in the service appointment making process. Isn't the point of making an appointment at 9:15 is that will be when the work is actually performed? If not, what's the point in making an appointment?Epic fail.

I bought my 2015 Elantra here back in October of 2014 & loved the experience. Everyone was extremely friendly & took their time while helping me get through all of the papers & learning about my new car. My first oil change experience was great as well. They got me in with in a week of calling & it took maybe an hour for them to finish it up. Just yesterday I had a flat tire & hyundai 24/hour roadside assistance was great as well. I wish the car came with a spare for them to change though. Instead they had to tow my car to the dealership & they were able to repair the tire by the end of the night. Which was awesome since it was a little inconvenient being towed all the way back to the dealership. Overall I love the staff at this dealership & recommend going here if your looking for a Hyundai! One thing I will say is that my 2015 Elantra Limited came with very poor leather seating. (Atleast in my opinion) I weigh around 130 lbs & my drivers side seat is already dimpling pretty badly & I've only had my car for 3 months... I think Hyundai definitely needs to improve the thickness and/or quality of the leather. The price isn't too bad...but for the price I personally think it should be better quality. Other than that I LOVE my car. Drives great, sounds great, looks great & is extremely comfortable! PS I completely forget the name of who I worked with...but all of them seemed awesome!

Well I started out with a flat tire and had to have my 2014 Hyundai Elantra taken to the Cochran to get it replaced. I dropped it off the night of the flat 11/19/14 and they had it done the next day. So all is well so far, the cost for the replacement was about average so no complaints so far. But now for the worst part, once I had it home I noticed scratched on the the roof and across the top of the passenger door. It looks like someone placed something that was about 2ft wide on the roof and then pulled it across the roof and off the car. I bought the car from a Hyundai dealer with approx. 4500 miles on it and at the time of the service it had 5662mi. Someone was with the car from the time of the flat until it was dropped off at the dealer, I actually took a taxi from the dealer to home, so it didn't happen from the tow in. Well I called the dealer up and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Actually, Cheyne told me "prove that we did it". How do I do that, they were not there when it was dropped off. I am not one to post things on the internet, actually this my first time since I am not getting anywhere with the dealer. I did run it back in after repeated calls and they spent about 20min buffing out what they could and then told me if I wanted it fixed it would require the roof and doors to be repainted, of course for a cost. So here I am with a practically new car with $1,000+ worth of paint damage just because I took it in to this dealer for a flat tire. My question would be how do I prove they did it? Even if I said I had pictures from the day before (which I don't have), that would not be proof because they could say it happened from the time I took the picture till it got to the dealer. The car is in the area and I would like to continue to take it to a factory dealer for some services to keep with the warranty. Does this mean the next time I need factory service I need to take pictures of every inch of the car and have the dealer sign off before they service it? I have pictures of the vehicle before it went in but they were from weeks before so they don't do any good. And it's not like I took close up pictures of the area they damaged to compare. All I know for sure is that the scratches were not there when the car was dropped off and they were there when it was picked up. Most expensive flat I have ever had.

My husband and I were looking for an inexpensive second car. We came in not knowing if we would purchase or lease this car. We had never leased a car before in our 50 years together. We really did not know what leasing all included. One thing we knew for sure was that we really wanted to keep the monthly payment low since this was our second car. While we were waiting in the showroom a very lovely young lady named Samantha Vilga came over to us and introduced herself , and for sure this is when our wonderful experience began. Samantha immediately made us feel comfortable,offered us a beverage, and through conversation helped us sort out what we were looking for in a car. She is so knowledgeable on all the makes and models of the cars that with her help and expertise we settled on an Elantra . We went for a test drive and really did like this car. The only problem was that I was used to a 6 way power seat with lumbar support. When Samantha realized this she quickly showed us the Elantra Sport and to my surprise she showed it to us in my favorite color (bright blue).Samantha remembering that we had said early on that we needed to keep the monthly payment low she showed us both the payments for purchasing and leasing. We chose leasing because the payments were lower. We will recommend our friends and family to #1 Cochran solely because of our great experience with Samantha Vilga . My car had recently been hit and totaled and so I needed a replacement quickly for work. Called in to the dealership about a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo that I had seen on the website and they told me to stop in to check it out. Wayne Preusser helped me through every step of the process. First, he took me out to the car and explained all of the buttons/pieces of the car and what they controlled. He was very knowledgeable about the actual make-up of the car as well. You would have thought he built it himself! Once we were done with that, I was able to take it out for a spin and let me tell you, it was one of those "love at first drive" moments. I actually enjoyed driving the car and I still do three weeks after owning it. I look for excuses to get behind the wheel everyday. I didn't purchase it the first day because I had not received my settlement check in the mail yet. Wayne did not press me to buy the car and understood. I came back the next day when I knew what settlement amount I was receiving and bought the car. The dealership detailed the car for me and even though it was about 10 minutes after business hours, Wayne still stay an extra 15 minutes to show me how to hook my phone up to the bluetooth and how to work the XM radio/inner car controls. Overall, a wonderful experience! Thanks Wayne!

I brought my vehicle to this location to have a recall issue addressed and to have a check engine light diagnosed/repaired. I had to make 2 visits to get everything completed due to parts needing to be ordered, but I worked with Cheyne Brooks who made the process as easy and convenient as possible for me. The service was done very fast and all of my questions and concerns were answered promptly and effectively. I give high marks to Cheyne for his friendly demeanor, customer service skills and attention to detail where customer convenience is concerned. We had chosen to buy a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with specific options. Just didn't know the color. A dealership had given a good price once we decided on the color they would dealer trade for the car. Cochran had a color we hadn't seen. Just so happened that this car was the exact package we wanted and we liked the color. I made an appointment for Saturday at 9:00 and when we walked in, there was a board with "Welcome Gail Pfeifer" on it. That made us feel special. Bob was great. On 12/2/13 Cheyne Brooks went Above and Beyond to take care of me when I came in for Service on my brand new Tuscon. He was extremely curtious. Took care of me right away and even gave more time to ask him a few questions when my vehicle was done. He walked me to my vehicle (extremely professional) but made me feel very comfortable with the questions I was asking. You can tell he was NOT bothered, just there to help. The entire Service Dept at South Hills I feel go out of thier way for customers. Most places don't even come close to that type of Customer Service. That was my second experience at the Service Dept., and each time was Great. It sure helps because who wants to be there after work, like I always have to go. ALL those guys there are so very nice. Brett was great...he is an upfront sales rep. I like being told how it is and he is very truthful and answering all the questions I had about my SanteFe I purchased. I also like the no hassle pricing. Using the fair market pricing and doing some personal research on my own I found out that I was able to get the best deal possible. Even though when I came in to look at vehicles it was very busy with other customers Brett greeted me and made sure that I was on the right track to begin looking at cars. Brett also made sure that as he was working with other people at the time he made sure any questions I had he gave me his full attention. Ian also made life easy and smooth when it can time for the final paperwork explaining all the details of the warranties and what to expect during the whole financing process. I received two recall notices in the mail. I had an oil change and one recall issue scheduled for 11/22/13. And had to schedule the second recall issue for 12/13/13. There was some mix up where I thought I was waiting for service but they had me scheduled for a drop off. However, not only did they finish the maintenance in under two hours, But they were able to attend to both recall notices and an oil change. Plus they did a thorough check of my breaks and other systems and recommended upcoming maintenance issues without trying to sell me things that I don't need. Everyone was very professional and friendly. I usually dread dealing with car maintenance and shops pushing extras on me. But the people at #1 Cochran Hyundai made it pleasant. I will definitely return in the future!

The time quotes for the services are always within 5 minutes of the time quoted(very rare in other places) The waiting area, although not fancy, is always clean and comfortable. He explained and showed the various features of the vehicles that was being considered and listened to what I liked or was looking for ie color etc.He made it a pleasant experience not a long drawn out process, even my sister who was with me said he was very nice. Online scheduling is a big plus. A reminder is sent via e-mail, which is a nice touch. Mr. DeCenzo was very pleasant during the check-in process. The work on the faulty Tire Pressure Monitoring System was completed within an hour. Mr. DeCenzo explained the work performed in a pleasant manner, and away I went. This was covered under Hyundai's warranty, which was a BIG plus. Kudos to Cochran and Mr. DeCenzo.

Wayne was very professional and friendly... easy to talk to; easy to work with. He opened the conversation by reviewing a brochure that explained how #1 Cochran does business. I wouldn't have expected that to be helpful, but in the long run of the sales process it was. When I asked him to tell me a little bit about the Elantra, he opened the doors of the showroom model and reviewed many features, then opened the hood and then the trunk. He explained the equipment and various operations under the hood. This guy knows cars so well he can translate for the layperson, which is incredibly helpful. As a woman, I felt very respected. Having done test drives in the previous 8 weeks at (non-Cochran dealerships) Mazda, Honda, Subaru, Toyota, and Ford, I was not treated as though I had much knowlege. Thank you for the respect that you showed to me, Wayne! Additionally, Wayne showed a great deal of patience and was not hard-sell, which ultimately led to the sale. I arrived at your dealership around 1:45 on Friday afternoon; spent time there until 3:30 and then came back at 6 with my mother who is one tough cookie. Wayne never missed a beat. The car that I wasn't sure I wanted due to the fact that it had a black instead of beige interior, became the car that I bought. And happily so, I might add, thanks to Wayne cooperating on four different test drives of the Elantra models. He even went so far as to show me leather samples that might be used if I decided to have an outside replace the black leather wih beige. He also went so far as to introduce me to a service tech to verify whether or not 16 inch snow tires might be a possibility on the model I was interested in. The morning after I purchased the car, Wayne left a message on my home phone asking if I had any questions and left a cell phone number in the event that I did. Wayne doesn't know it, but he is singlehandedly giving car sales people a better reputation. That is a really big deal, in my opinion. Thank you for a pleasantly surprising experience.

Sam worked with me to make my first car buying experience informative, pain free, and fun. She was always available to answer my questions, gave a great overview of the features of the car during our test drive, was knowledgeable about the trim packages, and located the car with my preferred color and interior. I really liked how she communicated with me over email and texts, as these are my more commonly used forms of communication. My vehicle was due for its six month AutoButler application. I dropped the car off on Tuesday morning to Nikko (who let it be known, is an excellent service advisor) and picked it up later that evening. Matt Gerlach, the service manager, was the only person still at the service counter when I picked up the car around 6 p.m. He brought the car around for me and I proceed home. After getting out of the car in my driveway, I noticed that the hood, passenger front fender, passenger front door, and windshield was coated in overspray, which resulted from the tire shine chemical that is applied to the tires after it is detailed. After realizing this, I immediately got back in the car and drove straight back to the service department. When I arrived, Matt was too pre-occupied on his cell phone, than to take the time to greet me. After informing him of what the situation was, he replied "ok" with a tone of total disregard. I proceed to lay the service invoice and my car keys down on the counter and Matt started yelling "YOU DON'T NEED TO SLAM YOUR KEYS DOWN LIKE THAT". I then replied, "I did not slam my keys down". He then replied "YES YOU DID". First off, if I would have slammed my keys down, the whole dealership would have heard it. Second off, I would never do such a thing. Third off, who is he to reprimand me, THE CUSTOMER, for something I didn't even do. Keep in mind, he never even had the courtesy to put his phone down during this whole conversation. When I asked him if he wanted to come out and see the car, so he would know what I was talking about, he said "no". As you can see, my concerns weren't really important to him. With that said, I told him that when I picked up the car the following day, I expected it to be in acceptable condition. Of course, they cleaned the car all over again and Nikko called me around 9:30 a.m. to tell me it was ready for pick up. When I picked up the car, Nikko was genuinely apologetic and looked over the car to make sure that everything was satisfactory. Those are the actions of somebody that actually cares about a customer and their vehicle. Now, one would think that if a person held the position of "service manager", that they would go over and above when it came to customer complaints and concerns. It would have been nice if Matt would have showed a genuine concern for me and my vehicle. If he would have said "Oh I am sorry, we'll fix the problem" or said "Let's take a look at it", then I wouldn't be writing this review. But, he obviously thought that giving me an attitude and yelling was a better way to deal with the situation.I think that #1 Cochran should maybe give Nikko DeCenzo the title of Service Manager, because he actually CARES. Matt and his low level of customer service convinced me to go else where for my vehicle's needs and I will never recommend #1 Cochran to anyone ever again. So, if you're looking for a dealership where the customer is treated in an inferior manner with a side of attitude, then the service department at #1 Cochran Hyundai is your place to go! If you want you and your vehicle to be treated with the upmost level of customer service, then go to any other dealership in Western Pennsylvania. I can bet that no other dealership would ever treat a customer in such a poor manner.

Working with #1 Cochran Hyundai was quick, easy, and efficient. I came in Saturday at lunchtime knowing what vehicle I was interested in (2013 Hyundai Tucson) and showed it to our salesperson, Gavin Melan. Right away, he took us over to the lot, showed us the vehicle, and showed us similar Tucsons and explained their differences. He was right to the point, thoroughly explained the vehicles features well, and helped boost my confidence in choosing this vehicle.Gavin and Tom Glumac worked with us to figure out a deal that could get my monthly payments to a little over $200/month, my initial goal in shopping for a vehicle. This was difficult to negotiate at some other dealers. Gavin was able to easily set things up so that I could return later in the day with my down payment and leave the dealer with my new Tucson.Ian Renter made the payment process extremely efficient, helping explain to me how the loan process would work. He explained every document I was signing thoroughly but was still very to-the-point, what I was hoping for! After that was over, Gavin took me to my new Tucson, which was clean, filled up, and ready to go. I was looking for an affordable but safe and reliable new car. I did a lot of research and came across with the Hyundai Elantra. They had good reviews and was a car that I could afford without braking the bank. Then contacted Cochran at South Hill via internet first and they got back to me really quick and professional, gave me a couple of discounts and incentives and that off course that got my attention even more. Set up an appointment to see and test the car. They were expecting me and had the car ready for me. The staff was very courteous and polite but over all very informative. I tested drive the car and I loved it! I told them I need them to save the car for me for a couple of days and they did (with an small deposit). When I went and picked it up 5 days later they went over all the car features again, explained everything to me, the finance process was very easy. Overall was a very easy experience and I'm very pleased with the car so far. I would definitely recommend #1Cochran Hyundai. Their service was excellent, very friendly and polite!

I brought my 2008 Elantra in for service and had been going back and forth about trading it in on a new Elantra because my car had been so wonderful. It was the first brand new car I had ever pruchased and I never had a problem with it and it only had 29,000 miles on it. Cheyne was always helpful and met my needs whenever I brought it in for maintenance or inspections. I spoke with Ron Harris and decided I would trade it in. Ron was terrific. He described every new feature in the 2013 Elantra aand took the time to show me how everything worked. He is an excellent salesperson. He knows about your Hyundais. My best friend recently had a car dealership nightmare and was quick to relay her sales drama while looking for her next vehicle, so to say I was apprehensive about what I would experience is an understatement. I purchased my Hyundai at Wright Hyundai only because I thought that Cochran closed their Hyundai dealership (changed the dealership that I bought my last Hyundai to a Nissan dealership), once I found out that Cochran had actually moved I started taking my vehicle there. The communications are great and service men do a great job communicating. I have but one small complaint, I brought my vehicle in for warranty work on my sun roof. Although it appears that the work was done correctly and in a timely manner once I started driving home from the dealership I opened my sun roof and noticed that it was dirty and full of finger prints. Doing a great repair job and then not taking 1 minute to clean the sun roof ruins the whole experience.

I bought Hyundai Elantra 2013, this is my first car. Buying a car seemed like a big ordeal initially, as I am not a US citizen and just came in this country. Brett made it a lot easier. He was thorough about the car details. He was knowledgeable, not only about Hyundai, but also about other brand equivalents. We did not have to haggle about the price, we purchased the car in the first visit. #1 Cochran has competitive prices, though. They just quote one amount and there are no additional nor hidden charges. The dealership seemed genuine. Brett, well coordinated all the paper work, he was prompt and easily reachable. My overall experience was good and i would surely recommend this dealership.

After months of research on the new Santa Fe Limited Edition I decided it was time to buy. I looked at a few at other dealerships and just didn't feel that the reps knew much about the car. I felt like I was teaching them more about them then they were teaching me. I am a recent college graduate and in the course of my first car shopping, I stopped at #1 Cochran of Hyundai South Hills. Even though it was a half hour before closing on a Saturday, I was greeted and welcomed by sales associate, Bob Pacella. He showed me the vehicle I was interested in, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, and stayed late to explain the clear cut pricing program that recently went into effect. He even provided me with his cell phone number and invited me to contact him over the holiday weekend if I had any followup questions. Additionally, the numerous employees that I spoke with throughout the buying experience were equally helpful and knowledgeable, making the experience pleasant and memorable. I brought my car to the dealership for the first Auto Butler service we purchased when we purchased the car last April. This is the first time we have been able to leave the car for this service because I have found the Auto Butler service hourse to be extremely inconvenient--no Saturday or evening appointments and even day appointments are hard to get. When I picked my car up, there was a layer of black soot on the car leaving me to question whether the service had even been done. The car was also there for inspection, so when I contacted Nikko, he informed me that the Auto Butler service had been done first and then the car was brought into the garage for the insepection, hence the dirt on the car. In addition, when we purchased the Auto Butler service we were clearly told that part of the service would include an interior vacuum. The car was not vacummed at all. When I asked Nikko about this, he told me that this service was only provided "if time permits." This is not how the product was sold to us, so I feel like we were cheated. I would really appreciate a call about this from somebody at the dealership. I left a message for "Heather" at the Monroeville store when I picked the car up two days ago--the operator was not able to connect me with a live person, so I got two different people's voice mail--but she has not called me back. The only other experience that I've had with Cochran is with your Robinson store for an oil change, which was fine, but overall I would have to say that I am disappointed. Wayne Preusser made us feel welcome and was very professional in making sure he understood our vehicle needs and with his presentation of the Elantra. I contacted the dealership on Wednesday for a burned out headlight. I scheduled my appointment for 9:00 on Thursday and asked to have the shuttle service. However when I got there and asked how long it would take Nikko thought they could have me in and out and he was correct. This is by far the BEST car buying experience I have ever had and I am experienced with buying cars in England, New Jersey, Maryland and Nevada. What can I say about this dealership except go and experience the low key no hassle sales approach with friendly, knowledgeable staff. I dealt with Ron Harris, who by far must get salesperson of the year. He was kind, caring, friendly, patient and was extremely knowledgeable about the product. He made sure I understood all the manuals and features of the vehicle from both the exterior and interior and went over every detail thoroughly and made sure I was completely satisfied. He answered all my questions and was very helpful even showing me all the different vehicle styles as well as all the color options on the cars. I know that sounds odd, but I went to the dealership with a definite color in mind, but when I saw the actual color it was far too dark so with Ron's help was able to get a better color choice which really gave my Sonata the wow factor. When I got home from the dealership he had already left me a thank you message for purchasing the car from Cochran and even followed up the next day. That's the personal touch which made me feel like a valued customer.There was not a hint of the high pressured sales tactics I encountered elsewhere. Ian easily handled our financing and paperwork. He was also a pleasure to work with and completed this portion of the sale quickly. Tom the sales manager was also very friendly and worked hard to get me to the best financing deal possible. I traded in my old vehicle and they gave me a good deal on the trade. There was no hassle or haggling the appraisal of my old car was done in front of me. This dealership puts everything on the line, its reputable, fair and honest. If you are thinking about buying a Hyundai then I would highly recommend Hyundai of South Hills.

I am a first time buyer and was in the market for a new car. My parents suggested that I check out the Hyundai Elantra because of the many features, style and warranty this car has to offer. I went on line and researched information on this car and wanted to test drive one. My parents own a 2010 Tucson, which they purchased from Cochran of South Hills and said I should call and make an appointment with Bob Pacella. He was the sales person they delt with and they liked him because was very knowlegable, took the time to answer their questions and made them feel very comfortable during their visit. I called and made an appointment with Bob. When my parents and I arrived at the dealership, Bob had a car ready for me to drive. He explained everything about the car, ie; features, gas mileage, warranty prior to the test drive. He also answered several questions we had during our ride. When we returned to the showroom he showed us the trunk area and how the fold down seats worked and several other features in the car. He discussed the incentives Hyundai was offering which included credit for my college education. I was happy that my parents were there for moral support but Bob made the whole experience that much more comfortable for me. He didn't pressure me into making a decision right there on the spot which my parents said that many sales people do to get you to buy a car. I spoke privately with my parents and decide to buy the car. When I returned to pick up the car Bob made sure that the bluetooth function was paired properly and again went over all of the features and made sure that I understood how they operated. He also introduced me to the service staff. Bob made my first car purchase a very pleasant experience. #1Cochran is very lucky to have someone like Bob Pacella representing their company.

Purchased a 2005 Dodge Car with warranty 2 weeks ago,when it broke down the repairs were suppose to be covered under warranty. I have taken to be repaired at nearby shop. Unable to reach anyone at dealership and have been without work vechicle for approx 3 days. I have left mutliple messages over 3 days and still no return phone calls. The warranty I have clearly states it is covered work, but both myself and my local dealership have been unable to contact anyone.

Our past experience with the service department has been positive, so we stopped into this dealership when looking for a new car. Our salesman Wayne was great throughout the entire car-buying process: from narrowing down which model would be best for us to showing all of the car's features (both mechanical and gadget-wise) to finding the car we wanted (model, accessories, and color) at a price we were happy with. When we came to pick up the car, the process was very efficient: Wayne went over the car's features, functions, and warranty (which was very helpful) and Matt was terrific through the financial part. I am a recent international graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh and just as any new graduate embarking on a new step forward in life I was in a dilemma what to do and how to commute to work now that I had one. First up was dilemma of pre owned vs new car and stepping into #1 Cochran made me decide that I have to buy a new car. I was confused which car to buy and the competition in the Elantra, Civic, Corolla, Focus, Impreza segment seems to be very stiff with all cars and dealers offering great deals. What really made me just fix on getting the Hyundai Elantra at #1 Cochran was the way I was received on day 1 by Gavin Melan. He is new on the team and was open about it. He stated what he knew and did not lie about stuff he did not. The test drive with him was great and he was really proactive to see that I got the car which is expected of any sales person. I somehow felt this was lacking at other dealers I visited. Cochran does not force you to buy a vehicle from them by sending hordes of emails but somehow their service and people there make it happen.Ian the guy in finance is a great guy to go finance and yes bargaining with him is a skill set but when it comes to deals but he certainly did a lot for a person just out of school and with barely any credit history. I think I got a great deal and guess they made their buck too, so it was a happy win win situation for both of us.The second day after seeing the car at #1 Cochran I could proudly say I was the owner of a brand new hyundai elantra and it was all done in a smooth jiffy which I was really happy about.The general manager is friendly and directs you, Ian is great to do finance with and Galvin was brilliant at making me get the car!!! Kudos to the team... Probably might return for my next car there :)

Brett was very helpful in securing the cars we needed to test drive to finalize our decision. he was very patient as we drove 3 different versions of the Accent. the first test drive, sedan, was a miscommunication from another salesman at another location that was supposed to meet us at the Hyundai dealership. they had to cancel on us last minute (called an hour before our appointment but we were already out-and-about) and turned us over to Brett but didn't tell Brett which Accent we were looking for. the other salesman was really new, still had an Ohio area code for cell. he was also very patient when we test drove several different cars at the Kia dealership.we were very happy with Brett's candor and "realist" point of view when talking about the car. my only concern was, across the board, there didn't seem to be an understanding of how different the SE and GS are. we ended up with the SE over the GS due to the difference. again, everyone was very patient. we had them bring a green GS from Monroeville to test drive. we REALLY liked the green GS but there was a SIGNIFICANT difference in drive and handling between the two models.the longest and most frustrating part, as i understand it ALWAYS is, was the financing. i'm not sure if it was because it was late Saturday or what but it took forever to get called back into the financing room. once there, we were informed we couldn't get the #s we went over with Brett. on the plus side, we still got a fair deal and it included an extended warranty and gap insurance (something i never knew or read about in my limited research). however, we'll be paying for an extra year to keep the monthly payments where we require them. and we weren't able to finance through Hyundai if we wanted to drive off the lot that day since Hyundai didn't get back to Ian with anything, approval or denial. (our credit scores were very good but we didn't have "enough" credit.) so we got a better percentage rate and our monthly payment is about where we wanted but we're paying for a year more than planned.so, all in all, Brett was great and let us know to follow up with him should we need ANYTHING or have a question. i'll probably pick his brain in the coming weeks as i go over the paperwork again and want more detail on some of the finer print. I had already decided we should get a Sonata, but considering it was to be my wife's new car -- I had to get past her usual apprehensions when making ANY kind of major purchase. My wife and I stopped in to look over the options the dealership offered and were greeted by Bob and given a little help but not pushed too much. He then returned and asked a few questions, offered some advice and was able to help my wife with the concerns she had - and got her into a Sonata for a test drive that day when she had initially only agreed to stop in to get some sales material. My husband, Mike, was driving me crazy. He has been looking for a new car for several months and couldn't make up his mind as to what he wanted. His last 4 vehicles were all Jeep Grand Cherokees and I never thought he would look at another vehicle until he met with Wayne at #1 Cochran of South Hills. Zack was very personal and asked all the right questions.I did find it upsetting that he was not able to negotiate the price without having to speak with the sales manager.I would much rather deal with the salesman. If the salesman can show you the vehicle he should be allowed to negotiate the price.

I was pleasantly surprised purchasing a car from Christina. From prior bad experiences with other car purchases, I was on the defensive, but I didn't need to be. She didn't try to pull anything on me with price changes, extra fees, etc, and most importantly didn't waste my time by low-balling me on my trade-in. She was also not pushy (though the auto-generated emails from Cochran (or whomever they use for sales communications) were a little bit much). Christina was also friendly and helpful during the test drive, answering all of my questions adequately.The only minor problems I encountered (and this is being very nitpicky):- I later found out that the PZEV version of the Elantra I ended up buying actually does get a little less horsepower, contrary to what I was told. Not a deal-breaker, though - the car has plenty of power for my needs. I hadn't researched this myself, as I thought this was just an option in California. - I had to wait a while for the financing department to be ready, but there were a lot of people in the showroom at the time, and it probably doesn't make sense for them to have more than one person on normal days.

Our 1st impression really wasn't that great. When we walked in there was no friendly welcome (all 3 times that we came to the store). The guys sitting behind the desk barely said hello and then called for Zak. It sort of made us feel like we weren't good enough to talk to themselves. Our salesman Zak, did a fine job. It was obvious that he was new and some of the information he provided us, specifically on warranty, wasn't all that clear or accurate, but overall he did a nice job. Unfortunately, we weren't able to finalize the deal on our second visit because the title couldn't be located so we had returned on Monday. On the bright side, it was nice that they let us drive the car over the weekend. We did apprecaite that. We were disappointed that the car didn't come with floor mats and to get them we'd have to purchase them from the dealer at cost. Seems to me this should have just been part of the deal. Our experience with Ian was very good. He was friendly and to the point. He helped to get us where we needed to be on our monthly payment and we really appreciated his time and patience.ALthough we were not impressed with our overall experience the main reason I said that I would not recommend the dealership has to do with how unfriendly everyone, other than Zak and Ian were. If nothing else, you expect to be greeted and welcomed when you walk in and on 3 different days we had the same reception...from the start, it just didn't make us feel like a valued customers.

As a recent college graduate, I was nervous and skeptical about leasing my first car. After my grandmother referred me to #1 Cochran I knew I was going to be taken care of. From the moment my dad and I came in the first day, to when my mom, grandma, and I left the second day with a new car, we were treated to an incredibly friendly atmosphere and accomodating staff. We visited Cochran Hyundai in order to find a new Elantra for purchase. Our salesman, Robert Pacella, was very helpful without being too instrusive on our visit. He gave us a wonderful deal on the car. One day after we took the car home, we noticed there were some very minor dings to the paint on the back of the car, which we did not notice at the dealership. I emailed Mr. Pacella photos that Sunday afternoon to see if there was anything Cochran could do. He responded to my email late Sunday evening. He, again, responded Monday morning and without hesitation advised me to bring the car in for the minor body work. My wife and I walked into #1 Cochran Hyundai after several subpar experiences with 3 other dealerships. We were greeted by Ryan Shaffer who did confirm the stock that was listed online and in what lot we could find those cars. Ryan informed us of the options on both cars, but at no point did he try to "sell" or talk us into one direction or the other. He was kind enough to let us talk to him about the differences between the cars and allowed us to talk privatly about what we liked with no pressure to buy. After making our decision to buy from Ryan, he sat us down and informed us of everything from the options of the car we chose as well as other services and warranties #1 Cochran had to offer. We gave him our best offer and he beat that offer without a fight or "having to talk to my manager about this". But again, at no point did he try to talk us into or "sell" us anthing we didn't want or need. My wife and I ended up with a car we both enjoy and an experience that we will remember. Our next car will come from Ryan Shaffer for sure.

This is our second new car purchase with Brett at Cochran Hyundai South Hills. My girlfriend bought her 2011 Elantra in May, 2011 and I bought a 2013 Sonata in June, 2012. Brett beat the price I gave him from USAA Car Buying Service and Matt in the Finance Department got me a better loan rate, too.Brett explained all of the new car's controls and features and helped me set up the Bluetooth system, even though my Blackberry frustrated both of us. He also set up the BlueLink system online registration so all I had to provide was a password.I'm very happy with my new Sonata and I will refer anyone that's looking for a Hyundai to Brett. My dad recommended me to check out the Hyundai Sonata. I live near the #1 Cochran Hyundai in South Hills. There are many car dealerships along West Liberty Ave. where it is located. From the moment I first stepped in the door Brett was very helpful. Since this was my first time getting a new car I had a lot of questions, Brett was patient and helped me with everything. I was looking for a stylish new car at a great price, I checked out a few of the competitors nearby and felt that the 2013 Hyundai Sonata was bar far the best deal. The stylish look of the car, MPG, features, and size of the car was unbeatable for the price. Overall I am very pleased with my experience at #1 Cochran Hyundai and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used car.

My lease on my 2010 Elantra was about end and I went in to talk to Brett about my options, whether it would be better to buy out my lease car or lease another new car. Brett spent a lot of time explaining all the options and deals. I am happy to say he worked out a great deal where I was able to lease a new 2013 Sonata for the exact same lease payment I had for my old Elantra. The entire process was very quick and enjoyable. He took the time to answer all my questions and work up quotes on the different cars (Elantra vs Sonata)and options (lease vs purchase). Sometimes I think car salesman and dealerships try to take advantage of a woman coming in alone to purchase a car, but this was not the case. Brett treated me with respect and didn't talk down to me or try to take advantage of me. The whole process was quick and easy and doing business with Brett Lewis and #1 Cochran South Hills was a real pleasure. I went into the dealership not sure what I wanted to do or what car I wanted and 2 and half hours later I was driving away in my new Elantra.

I have been taking my 2005 Elantra to the service department ever since I bought it. Sales can be great but if the service department does not match up with quality care and an affordable price, then the dealership does not provide an overall positive experience. I have been more than pleased with the service department. As a woman, there is always the concern of being taken advantage because of lack of automotive knowledge and expertise. But so far, I have never felt that way at the South Hill dealership.My vehicle has been well taken care of. Most of the service reps have been very easy to deal with - the past two times I have had Cheyne Brooks and he has been great! He always welcomes me with a smile - never too busy for questions or explanations - very proactive and thorough with my vehicle - even helps with discounts available. He is always my first choice when I make an appointment and definitely a reason to keep coming back.

My experience with Ron Harris was great--he was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. He made my first new car buying experience easy and (if it can be) pleasurable. He even shined up the car for me as I was leaving because he thought the car should look better when I drove it off the lot. I would highly recommend Ron if you're in the market for a new (or used) car. The reason I gave my "overall experience" rating as 4 instead of 5 is this: when I went to see the man who takes care of the financing and contracts, he pressured me to extend the already fantastic warranty and to get a bunch of add-ons that I wasn't interested in (unfortunately I have forgotten his name). Even after explaining to him why I wasn't interested (I only wanted to spend x total amount; I only wanted my payments to be x amount per month; I only wanted my contract to last 60 months; I bought a Hyundai because the warranty is what it is and it comes standard, NO CHARGE with each car), he kept trying to work out the math to get me to buy SOMETHING, regardless of what it was. Finally I told him flat out to stop doing the math because I wasn't interested. He seemed miffed by that. When he finally printed up the contract he assumed I was financing with Cochran instead asking what my financing plans were. When I told him I wanted to go through my credit union unless Cochran could do better, he said, "NOW you tell me that." Isn't it his job to ask? I will give him credit for giving me a (slightly) lower interest rate, however. In all, I had a great experience save the ten minutes I spent with financing.

Wayne was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I came in on a Thursday, looked and test drove a couple of vehicles. Both would have worked for my needs. Wayne got back to me the next morining with the financing options on both. I added another to the mix and again, he got right back to me. I agreed to meet him on Saturday at 10:00am. I got off work a little early on Friday, so I stopped by. Wayne had already left for the day but a very nice young associate Jeff helped me out. The only thing I would like to mention here is when I went to do the financing, I felt like I was really being pressured to buy an extended warranty. The finance employee tried every which way to get me to sign on to something--extending the loan period (I ONLY wanted a 5 year loan, he suggested 72 mos.), trying to get me to accept that it would only be $10 a month over what I originally wanted my payments to be, etc.--and while he was very nice about it, I didn't like being pressured.

I walked into Cochran Hyundai looking for a used car. Wayne sat down with me and discussed several options. He went out of his way to see what I was looking for. When I couldn't find a used car that I would like, he suggested looking at a lease. I didn't think I would be able to lease a new car at a price I was happy with. Since the car I was trading was in my wifes name, I had to go home and get her to make a deal. I, of course, said yes.I've had my Elantra for a week now and am thrilled with the car.
